All Time Favourite Makeup!! Part 1 - Duration: 7:48.

Alright, so some of you guys have requested that I do a favourite makeup episode.

So today I am finally getting down to doing it.

And I lug like a shit ton of makeup here today.

I have been putting makeup since I was 13..

and I have 20 years of makeup experience!

So overall, on this table I like everything here alot.

So I'll introduce to you guys all of them category by category

So, um let's start with Primer first?

I really like this it's the Hourglass Veil Primer.

And it's quite a famous product

I think alot of people like it.

But it is quite expensive.

I don't know whether you think it's worth the price lah.

Depends on whether you have baby smooth skin that doesn't need primer I guess?

So here we have the Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix.

Sometimes I will actually spray some of this on my Beauty Blender.

And I will just dab some on my face before I put makeup.

And speaking of Beauty Blender, I got this from W. Lab.

I don't use brushes to apply my foundation.

I typically will wet my Beauty Blender

so that it gives a more light touch and then I kind of layer more

if I want more foundation!

I like a lot of foundations and I love liquid foundations especially.

This is the Revlon Colorstay

and it has been in the market for a really really long time.

I have been using this since my teens.

Its consistency right, is like paint.

This is great for long wearing

It's also very good with oil control and it's high coverage.

For a lighter touch, this is the KATE Powderless Foundation.

When you rub it on, it actually becomes powdery.

If you are the kind of person who wants to use liquid foundation

but you don't like something that is sticky

This one is great.

This is one of my newer favourites

and it's the NYX Total Control Drop Foundation.

You can see that it's just very very very watery.

and when you just put it on it's just really really light.

This one tends to be a little bit more dewy than the other two.

So sometimes I will layer it on with a bit of loose powder.

I really love this loose powder.

It's the LA splash Mineral foundation.

When you put it on your face it's like super velvety smooth.

Yah but i don't like it hor

when like this loose powder is always in pots like this right..

When you open it right there's this *eek* *eek* *eek* sound that's very disgusting

I'm trying very hard to avoid it.

Urgh

It's just very gross ah

Oh stop it! Urgh.

Okay, okay, okay.

I have to like close it very gently.

Ugh..walao all my hair stand sia.

The design here very ugly lah okay

but they gave a very nice holographic back so I bought it.

This is the ZA Two Way Cake!

which has been my favourite ever since I was 13 years old

and I'm still loving it till today.

You can use it with a wet sponge or a dry sponge.

I like to use liquid foundation but a lot of times it turns out very shiny or sticky

and I'll put a layer of this with a dry sponge on top of my foundation and

it just mattifies it.

I love the Too Faced Born This Way Concealer.

It actually does smell like coconut.

It smells really nice.

This is called the Kat Von D Lock It concealer creme.

And I really like it because it has something very special.

It's super duper light coloured.

Okay so next I am gonna show you guys what are my favourite brow products.

Most eyebrow pencils nowadays I think are pretty good.

But I recently fell in love with this one.

From LA Splash,

and it's the Ultra Defined Brows.

I don't know if the brush actually comes with the product because LA Splash gave it to me.

But this is really really good with this.

So you just do like that and then you get your eyebrows

and it's really really precise.

and you can sort of darken it to whatever shade you want.

and you can create this brush like strokes, you know?

This is the product that I actually use on Dee Kosh

In case you guys were wondering.

If you're not a fan of using a brush with gel

you can also use a pencil.

This is one of my favourite one.

The Benefit Goof Proof Brow pencil.

It looks very nice, which is something that I like.

One end is thicker and the other side is more pointy, I guess, when you twist it out?

So you can kind of just draw your brows like that.

This is a lighter colour so it doesn't come off that strongly.

I also love it that the other side is the brush!

Sometimes at areas where I feel like I have no eyebrow hair

I would put some Dolly Wink brown eyeliner to draw the hairs on

so it looks more like you know natural.

and if you feel that it's a little bit too harsh

What you can do is to use the brush part and just kind of like fade it out a little.

So this is Hoola from Benefit and I think a lot of people really really love this.

I can see why because it's so cute and it's got this

like matte Brown that's just really complimentary for shading.

It's this default like matte Brown.

An alternative is the Too Faced it's called the Chocolate Soleil.

I think it's pretty much the same as the Hoola.

It's just kind of a generic matte brown powder.

This is the travel size.

The original size is a little bit too big.

This size, just right.

This is the NYX Highlight and Contour Pro Palette.

And they have the darker shades at the bottom and the lighter shades at the top.

I don't use any of these except for the highlighter.

It's just super shiny!

It's so palescent.

I really like this palette because it has everything.

This is Kat Von D's Shade + Light Eyeshadow.

This is really the de facto most intense and pigmented colour that I've ever seen.

And it's very very complimentary.

I've got another palette here that's also from Kat Von D

and it's the Pastel Goth palette.

Inside are all matte colours and they are pastel colours of the rainbow.

This is one of my favourite palettes because it's so beautiful.

I can't even begin to name which ones are my favourite because I use a lot of them.

Here I have with me the NYX Beauty School Dropout palette.

They have all these like little pots here.

I love it that it is very small

because most of the time you cannot finish using your eyeshadow.

Over here you have highlighters and over here you have your contouring.

Here you have your blushers.

Okay, so this is my absolute favourite blusher.

And it's from Candy Doll.

I don't know what colour it is it just says some Japanese gibberish at the back

yeah but they only have like three or four colours so just pick the neon pink one

and this is the best.

It looks like it's very very neon but actually it's pretty like pastel shade of pink.

So I'll show you guys how it looks like.

And I just want to make a mention to this brush

and I only use this for my blusher.

See, it's a very nice shade of pink.

Plus it's very small and you can bring it out anywhere

and it lasts for a really really really long time.

So, what else can you ask for honestly?

Okay so I also have with me here the NYX Sweet Cheeks Blush palette.

I really like this because it comes in many different colours.

They have something like a peachy colour, a more plum sort of colour

and i think basically almost the same as my Candy Doll kind of sweet pink.

This one is like really shimmery and then you have a apricot kind of colour so

you have everything covered here there's really no need for you to buy anymore

blusher from anywhere else I guess.

you

Borg vs McEnroe trailer - in cinemas 22 September - Duration: 1:36.

It's the perfect rivalry: the baseline player and net rusher.

Borg, how does it feel knowing you could make history if you win your fifth Wimbledon?

No special feelings.

The only thing standing between Borg and that record is you.

You and Borg are as different as two people could possibly be.

The ball was on the line!

How do you respond to McEnroe's comment from before the tournament, that Borg the machine will soon break down?

I'm just like anybody else, I'm not a machine.

McEnroe's the bigger talent,

but playing Borg is like being hit by a sledgehammer.

Everybody wants to beat Björn, everybody wants something from him.

It makes you the loneliest guy on the planet.

Borg will be playing under a tremendous amount of pressure.

Everyone expects him to win.

Borg is often described as being pure perfection.

Do you think he ever loses it?

Everything in me gets left out on that court,

and none of you understand it

because none of you do it!

Tony Robbins: Reboot Your Brain to Be Wealthy ( Tony Robbins Mindset ) - Duration: 16:07.

The more you can cultivate that sense of wealth that sense of abundance in you

the more you can feel that sense of joy the more easy it's going to be for you

to do financially because you're not going to be in this scarce fearful mode

now that's not enough by itself you have this great sense of abundance and do the

wrong mechanics and be a disaster true or false but if I had a they have an

area to get you started with you want to have the emotional psychological

strength is that's gonna carry you through when the mechanics are boring or

frustrating or when things aren't working out your emotion your

psychologies will carry you it'll get you to keep doing it

everyone knows if you've done these studies dr. Seligman very famous for

doing Studies on optimism and in those studies you really found out people that

are pessimists are much more realistic they're much more accurate if you give

them a test and you ask them to look at something and give you a size

measurement of it or to evaluate their own success or failure at a task and

every study suliman's don t do to the University I think Pennsylvania for

member correctly originally what he found was that optimists always see

themselves as doing better than they really did they basically be asked

themselves what happens the pessimist there are 10 times more accurate but

here's what he found out when he found out is because the people who are

accurate never push themselves because they know it's never going to work

anyway whereas the optimist sees it better than it is so they keep doing it

because they have the illusion they did well we'll all do even better next time

and because that optimism they did it more often it's so optimist succeed at a

four to five fall depending on the task result ultimately beyond anything that a

pessimist will do and they're not as accurate all that's a big way of saying

is if you can develop a psychology of resilience in yourself you don't have to

be optimistic or fake you can be real the realness is whatever shows up you

are larger than anything that can happen to you you are larger than any financial

challenge you could ever face initially we'll say well look at their houses look

at their homes and they don't really have like trust

this but they don't feel poor it's your identity the way you define the wealth

determines whether you're wealthy or not so are there enough things for you

knowing the 2/3 for planet lives on $2 a day that you could get yourself to

really feel grateful yes or no how much of your life do you get benefits from

today that you never had to create think about I guess that the road you ride on

the library the books you didn't have to write find the Internet you can access

in seconds to get answers just about anything the people in your life you

didn't have to raise but are there for you think about all the different

aspects of your life if you want to be wealthy all you have to do is associate

so before we do the financial part cuz financial independence is different than

wealth wealth is that State of Mind financial dependence is being in that

position where you don't ever have to work again that if you work you do it

because you really want to now give you a clue if you get financially dependent

you don't work you'd be miserable I can't tell how many friends I have a

solar company made fifty million dollars one man made almost a billion dollars

and was really excited for a while but after a while it was like bored his

vehicle of his business gave him a sense of contribution and he was always

growing figuring how to solve problems and yet all the people he was connected

to in the business all the employees and friends and a sauce so I want to tell

you I'm not just saying this is some little positive thinking technique I'm

telling you this is the secret the real secret to shift it inside of you and add

the real value most people are trying to pursue something in the future that they

already have I want you to think of what it is you

think you want that will make you wealthy or financially free by defining

the game in a winnable way a certain amount of money that we meet and that

covers what we're gonna call financial security which might be your housing

your cars your food and basic entertainment how many we feel bridge if

you didn't have to work if your investments alone the income from your

investments the income covered those four items your housing for the rest of

your life your food right your travel and some entertainment I don't think

that would feel pretty good say I and by the way that number is way smaller than

what most of you think of when you think about being financially independent

which is everything covered without working so why not get the first one

down pat and you go know exactly what that number is for you and what it's

going to take for that number where you don't have to work to meet it then we

could look at financial independence where you don't have to work and

everything is covered then we gonna fight to freedom you know if the work

and everything you can think of is covered anything you ever want to do for

yourself or others those you want to get that's a different level isn't it and

most people think of financial freedom they come with a gigantic number that if

you even figured out everything you want it's nowhere near as big as you think

and because it's so big you never even start the journey and you don't think

it's gonna happen so you talk about it you hope you'll get some big hits

sometime with your business or something but you never get going how many follow

the say I if you are significant in other people's eyes what will that do

for you

well you know it was in my eyes somebody that I would look somebody that but

we're not example but when you get there you won't look to yourself anymore when

you get there you'll just be in a different level then you'll be trying to

figure some other level of what you need to get to so you would respect yourself

it's good behind he always makes good points

you notice that so what you're doing is here's the game you're playing I want

all of you to hear this no amount of money will ever make you wealthy because

as soon as you get there you will raise the game but here's what's great about

that to continue growing in all areas of life if you could grow emotionally

should you yes or no if you could give more should you yes or no yeah if you

grow intellectually should you yeah if you get more love should you if you

could grow more financially should you yes cuz growth is life but having to

grow in order to feel significant enough means you will always be poor it's a

game that never ends let's talk about money now not wealth what does it take

mechanically to get this thing called financial independence and what does

financial independence is supposed to wealth wealth is a product of the mind

again no amount of money you ever achieve will make you wealthy financial

dependent means you never have to work again in order to live your life that

when you do work you're doing it because you really want to not because you have

to and how many committed illa not only being wealthy but also financially

independent say ah how do we get there let me give you the lesson how to get

there it is so simple that when I tell you're gonna go thank you for the

breakthrough thought but even though you may know this intellectually whether

you're sophisticated or not you probably know this the formula for financial

dependence is so simple and you can't achieve financial abundance unless you

really learn to apply this not just in a concept you have but consistent in your

life and that formulas simple spend less than you what you know thank you for the

breakthrough thought Tony but is this what most people do yes or no no what do

most people spend more than they earn there's no way

around this knowing how much money you have if you spend more than you earned

it got a challenge so there's no way to be financially free financially

independent without spending less than you earn what do you got to do with what

you don't spend you got to invest the difference because what I want to show

you right now is how do you build what everybody should own every one of you

should leave here with your own personal money machine do you want to create a

money machine a machine that while you're sleeping is making you money

right so you're no longer trading the most valuable resource you have in life

your time for money you want to trade money for money do you want money to go

to work you want to put that money to work for you so while you're sleeping

it's making a difference you want to create a machine and that machine you

want to create it's something you want to be able to feed you at some stage

where you don't have to work that's what the money machine is the second secret

to this is you got to reinvest how many if you've ever made a big hit in your

investments and went oh my god that's so cool and took the money and spent it on

something raise your hands say I come on say I I

know you all anybody's invested has done this if you gotta bake a cake yes is it

nothing wrong with that but you gotta make sure a significant amount that you

reinvest your returns so you get compounded what compounded growth is the

most basic principle in the world we all know it intellectually but are you

emotionally associated enough that you're really utilizing it to its

maximum capability if you don't you're not gonna get financially free you will

never get financially independent by your earnings alone every one of you in

this room is gonna lose money every one of you there's no way the person might

work work on the top financial traders in the history of the world top ten in

the history of the world is not even right half the time how could you make

billions of dollars you've not even write half the time not even 51% of the

time I'm gonna show you in a few moments it's known as asset allocation it's the

way and that's just what you do that's what's gonna shift this so first step

spend less than you earn and that's the difference second step reinvest it so

you get compounded growth until you reach the home run your money machine

until you reach a critical mass a critical mass of capital of investment

capital when you get to that critical mass and

what determines the critical mass is how much you need for the lifestyle that you

want once you get that critical mass what it provides for you is what you're

investing for who knows no matter what investment you're doing what are you

really investing for whether you're investing in cars stocks bonds real

estate financial instruments what are you investing for they not fir-tree not

investing for returns that illusion will keep you from getting to the endgame if

you're wealthy here's what makes you wealthy income not assets assets you can

buy and assets change in value all the time you need income this is the only

reason to invest you invest for one reason so you have an income for life

without working and to do that you've got to build a critical mass of capital

but the interest on it alone will give you that income and you get out the life

you want without working and they let me do that as do those first two steps

spend less than you're an investment reinvest the tea hit that critical mass

now how to do that is actually a lot simpler than you think we make things

more complex than it really is you got to think of this as your target in order

to achieve what you want will you have a money machine here's what you must do

you must pick out a minimum financial goal for yourself even in achieve your

minimum financial goal you got to pick out a specific amount of money that

you're gonna desk every month every year no matter what a specific percentage of

your income if you don't do that forget the rest this course so waste your time

cuz you're gonna make a bunch of money but you won't be practicing the

fundamentals and eventually you'll make a mistake and you'll lose it let me tell

you another secret to life if you do the right thing at the wrong time you get

pain if you plant in the winter I don't care how hard you work I don't care if

you work day at night and you work to the bone and you plant your seeds in the

middle of winter what's gonna happen when fall comes are you gonna be

rewarded yes or no no so if you don't understand that the seasons are changing

you're in trouble what does asset allocation it means out of the money you

have to invest we're gonna create three buckets really simple way of thinking in

this for now the first bucket is the security bucket when you think about

investing think of two types of investments there are fixed income

investments and most you are clear what this means what does it mean when it's a

fixed income investment what is that mean you've got a guaranteed rate of

return assuming they deliver and anyone cannot deliver including the US

government they haven't not delivered but they could is there risk in any

investment yes or not so just ratios of risk and as we know you know no risk no

no reward so if you don't invest you're gonna lose a few invested times but if

you don't ask you've already lost and you can never win never of a money

machine never be financially free the second type of investment you can make

and helps you understand what you do is something that's gonna be growth rhythm

and growth investments are investments where you probably have a much greater

potential for growth which means you get a greater return if you're successful

but if you're not successful do all the guaranteed bit of return yes or no no

sort of growth investment you have the potential of greater return but also

greater greater loss the security bucket is where you want to put investments

that are secured by their nature because they're secure is this going to give you

a huge compounded return per year yes or no but they give you a huge compound

return even if the number is small if you do it long enough yes or no so what

we want to do is your first investments have to be in your security bucket and

everybody wants to do the opposite the question that becomes what percentage

you put in your security bucket what goes in there well here's some things

that go in there if you don't have at least two to six months worth of cash

that covers your overhead here in deep trouble the first step to getting

financially secure not financially independent is to make sure you have

enough cash that something happens you can go for six months

you got the freedom what else might you put in there types of investments an IRA

goes in here right pretty secure insurance the insurance is protecting

you that's part of security what else you going there your

don't think of your home as an investment because for most of you

you're eventually not going to sell that home and eat it you're not gonna sell

your home and get income off it now some of you maybe you made a stage of life or

you're accumulating the same homes and eventually you gonna sell and buy a

smaller home and take that critical mass that came from selling the big home and

it's gonna take care of you for life if you're doing that great but the place to

think about your home in terms of leverage put it in your security bucket

how many degrees me on this by the way say I cuz kind of maybe a little home

you're gonna be really stressed out alright so I gotta think of my growth

outside my home really think of your compound interest outside your home

it'll only be a bonus for you and fixed income investments often in this

category now what's the second bucket second bucket is growth two ways you're

gonna learn about growth the buy-and-hold strategy which is the

strategy of an owner and by the way that's buying and holding that is less

risky to some extent than momentum because the timing but it can be just as

risky what is momentum trading that's when you're no longer an owner you're a

trader a financial trader everybody's a financial trader most of you trading

time for your money here you're trading money for money here what you're looking

at is you're seeing movement in prices and what a momentum player is doing as

they're playing for the short term usually third bucket is the dream bucket

the dream bucket is you want to travel around the world the dream bucket is you

tape on the size of how you think of what you're doing or your economics you

want to own a condominium in Aspen might be the boat it might be a trip it might

be owning a basketball team owning an island depends on the size of what it is

you want to do it by the way bigger isn't better the more you have to have

to feel financially free the more stress you're gonna have how many follows it's

the opposite of what you think the more you have the more you got to manage the

more time the more energy the more risk the more capital that doesn't mean you

shouldn't do it some of you are very very driven to create and risk that's a

personality type we know that it's crazy I have to be one of those types to some

extent but even a crazy person's got to make sure their security is there or

their craziness at one point will bite them how many follow if you can get

pretty instantly free for Less do it be wealthy now and get financially feet

quicker and then walk in you would and then keep it up flippin your security

bucket if you want to play a bigger game now you've already won and everything

you're playing now that's where the house is money if you can go for

something bigger and if you if it doesn't work out you still handle your

security what you're here for is totally free how many follow them talk about it

say ah

Hey… can I?

Hm? Because now we're alone, and that's a good opportunity, isn't it?

Hm, what?

You're staring me so much…

You're asking me, M-Kitten…

Are you tempting me?

You're turning me on.

What do you have in mind?

What are you doing?

Almost had it!

You don't have to play with that guy.

You have only to take care of me.

Hey…

Why don't we show him off?

She's greedier than she looks.

Can you satisfy her?

Hey, that's so mean.

How about letting him learn here now, if necessary?

Will you please give me your blood, M-Kitten?

Wait.

I feel like you smell extremely tasty today.

Don't look at me wishfully.

In the end, your wish is that I get aroused?

Back off! You're just interrupting us.

You're noisy.

Watch on enviously.

What? It's sweeter than this morning.

It's especially tasty today.

Oh, don't look away. All you have to do is look at me.

But… it might not be bad.

It isn't…?

It may not be…

Hm… what are you doing?

Let me see…

Oh, what do you think of this?

Whoa, you're a pervert.

Well...

I don't see why not.

You like this kind of thing, don't you?

Hm… why are you freaking out?

Just have fun.

Well, it's not boring to see you get scared...

What? You look dirty.

Don't you feel your heart is pounding more than usual?

What? A good voice just now. What happened?

Why do you not like this?

I know you feel good.

Come on! You love being embarrassed, right?

You're lying. That's because…

… we're just close together, but I can feel really appetizing sounds.

You can't lie to me.

I can easily know everything about you.

Now…

Keep relaxing…

Just look at ME.

Don't synchronize.

You just feel ME.

Ah…

You like being with me, of course.

You're a heartbreaker.

I'll make you feel better.

M-Kitten…

I'll do this for you all night long.

You just stay by my side... forever.

Tanki Online V-LOG: Episode 145 - Duration: 7:46.

Hello tankers!

Today, we'll be issuing a new Tanki challenge for you to overcome.

We'll also be sharing with you some useful advice

on how to use Overdrives to maximum effect,

and announcing the special event that will wrap up the summer season.

We haven't had any developers news in the past few episodes.

There's a reason for that.

Our analysts are currently reviewing the data from the matchmaking system test,

while our programmers are working non-stop on the html5 version of Tanki.

And while we're on the topic of the HTML5 version,

Tankers often ask, "what will change?"

Well, if everything goes as planned, nothing will change.

It will be the same game,

but without using flash technology, which is on its way out.

Of course, the HTML5 build will bring certain advantages.

For instance, we'll have more options for improving the game,

one of them being the graphics.

But it's still too early to go into detail.

We've already had several test runs of HTML5 Tanki at our headquarters.

The version works and it is playable.

Of course, we can't give a release date yet,

because there are still a lot of things to improve and optimize

Recently, we told you about the Tanki in the City pack,

and how we'll be having a special crystal fund for the event,

which will be growing by 20 thousand crystals

with every Tanki in the City pack purchased.

However, we missed a very important point.

The fund will also be growing by 20 thousand crystals

with every TICKET purchased for the event,

which should add quite a few more millions to it!

And let's not forget that all those who come to the meetup,

will be in the chance to win a great prize,

as well as have an awesome time with their fellow tankers,

AND ask questions to our developers in person.

The pack will be become available in the game tomorrow week,

on Saturday, September 2nd.

At the same time, we'll be launching a special website

that will show the fund and the number of winners.

We haven't had a Pro's advice section in quite a while.

Today, our VLOG helpers team

will show you how to use overdrive effectively in battle.

Watch carefully!

Hey everyone!

This is Tou and the VLOG helpers team.

Here are some simple and useful tips for using Overdrive effectively in Tanki Online.

Let's start with the basics using Overdrive to the maximum.

Don't use Overdrive when you've got full health or supplies activated,

because this will give you a smaller advantage.

Overdrive in DM battles

gives you the chance to get a lot of kills in a short period of time.

And in CTF it makes it easier to deliver the flag.

In team battles, it's important to use overdrive for maximum team benefit.

Only press the Shift button

when you have at least one teammate close by.

If everyone in your team follows this rule,

your team will have a better chance of winning

than if everyone tries to play Rambo and hog all the glory.

It's a very good idea

to play with your friends as a trio using voice communication.

If you play as a unit,

you will always support your partners with a full set of supplies,

and they will do the same for you.

Of course, this tactic only makes sense on big maps,

because a single trio on Sandbox isn't a good idea.

Here's an example of how to use such a group.

You break into the enemy base, grab the flag,

and activate Overdrive on your way out.

This will leave 3 mines between you and your enemies,

which will give you a better chance of successfully making your escape

and delivering the flag.

Overdrive can also be used very efficiently in defensive tactics.

For example, you could agree with your team to get together before an attack

and press the Shift button.

As a result, your base will be full of mines

and everyone will have a full set of supplies,

and all this for free and with only one use of Overdrive.

And of course Overdrive has a beautiful effect.

Tankers are now using it to enhance a rank up visual effect,

and in parkour to emphasize the coolness of the trick.

That's all for now.

Salutations from the VLOG helpers team.

Don't waste your "zero supply".

Good luck!

Last week we launched a new edition of the Mister and Miss TO contest.

The first entries have already started rolling in,

but as always, some players haven't read the contest rules

and have been sending us gameplay videos.

And of course, some others tried to trick us

by submitting videos from past editions.

Yeah.... not gonna happen.

Look, there's still time till the deadline, so you don't need to rush.

Think of an idea, write a simple script, and shoot the video on the street.

More often than not, the picture will be better when shooting outdoors.

If you need help,

we created a guide some time ago with tips on how to shoot a good video.

The link is in the V-LOG's description.

Check it out.

Good luck guys!

Video of the week.

Last time we asked you to shoot a cool video in XP/BP mode.

Let's check out the best entry!

For next week, we have another Tanki Challenge for you.

However, it's not like the previous ones.

This time, your task is to keep a tank in the air for as long as you can.

Submit your videos and we'll check the time ourselves.

Now, the rules:

The battle timer must be visible in the video at all times.

You must use the Red paint.

The map must be Kungur (NO SPACE MODE).

The maximum number of participants is 5, and that includes the "flyer"

The prize is 250 thousand crystals for the winning team.

The form for submitting your entries, is in the V-LOG's description.

The deadline for submitting videos is 9am UTC on Thursday 31st.

After that, the submissions form will be closed.

It's almost time to wrap up the summer season,

so this Saturday and Sunday,

we'll be having a special "Goodbye summer!" event.

The event will feature Gold boxes that drop 5 times more often,

and tougher missions with bigger rewards.

And of course, discounts!

On Saturday, we'll be having 20% to 50% discounts on Shop items.

Remember, if you have a bonus card for crystals, Premium, or gold boxes,

it WILL stack up with the discount, so you'll be getting an awesome deal.

On Sunday, it's garage discounts.

Prices on turrets, hulls, modules and alterations, will be slashed by 30%.

And as always, micro-upgrades get 25% off, while speed-ups get 50% off.

Additionally, on both days,

garage paints, supplies and in-game gifts will be at 30 percent off.

Don't miss it!!

That's all for this episode!

Have an awesome weekend!

Bye!

Last week, Hammer fired a shot into a group of tanks.

You had to guess how much damage it would deal in total.

The correct answer is... 662 — Option B.

Here are our winners!

And here's the new question!

DKM2017 - Deutsche Kendama Meisterschaft - Duration: 10:01.

German Kendama Chmapionship

We are in Mannheim at the German Kendama Championship 2017,

we are here at a boulder slash skate slash chill spot.

It's a really rad location. There are a lot of people here.

In a Kendama competition you have speed ladders

which work like a race, the race track is a set list of tricks

that you need to work through.

You don't have to in one go,

you can re-try tricks, as soon as you finish one, you can continue with the next one.

Whoever finishes first wins.

And than you have the knock out,

which is my personal favourite,

it's like a penalty shoot out in football.

If you manage to land your trick over your competitor you get a point.

Freestyle is going to be sick too!

I'm here because i just wanted to be here and to meet the community,

as I went to a couple of other events before and maybe get to win something here.

I am here because I just started playing Kendama half a year ago and for me it's my first big event.

That's why we travelled across the country for this.

I am at the DKM to meet up with even more people that I haven't played with

and also to see old friends that I met through Kendama.

… and soon the fun begins!

You can play standard tricks with your kendama and train it to perfection,

really clean one after another or you can do it freestyle

and play whatever you want, come up with new tricks,

being creative, adding a nice flow to it.

That is what i really enjoy about Kendama, you have so many ways playing it.

Kendama is my big passion because I play it all the time.

I just can't stop and i don't want to because it's a huge challenge for me.

The most fascinating thing for me is

that a weird looking piece of wood can push you to learn and get to learn so many new things.

This is why I am going to these events, not to win anything or even competing

but to get together and have an amazing time.

I am looking forward who's going to win, I am hoping it's my friend Ash.

Sewing Super-Sized Quilts (Part 1 of 2) - Duration: 26:48.

Super-size it!

That's something I rarely say at a restaurant,

but often do when quilting.

I start with a traditional quilt pattern and expand the size.

This no-fat super technique adds drama to a quilt project,

but also saves time on piecing.

Over the past Sewing with Nancy seasons,

I've recorded several episodes featuring super-sized quilts.

I decided to include my favorite dramatic quilts

in a 2-part series,

bringing back the recorded segments from past shows.

Early in my career, I made a Lone Star Wall Quilt

as a wedding gift.

I almost didn't give the gift away,

as I was somewhat embarrassed

that not all the seams met in the center.

After all, I was Sewing with Nancy,

what would people think!

Fast forward and now I'm eager

to show you the same quilt block,

this time with a technique that's practically guaranteed

to cause pride, not embarrassment.

"Sewing Super-Sized Quilts,"

that's what's coming up next on Sewing with Nancy.

Sewing with Nancy

TV's longest-airing sewing and quilting program with Nancy Zieman

is made possible by Baby Lock

a complete line of sewing, quilting,

and embroidery machines and sergers.

Baby Lock, for the love of sewing.

Madeira, specializing in embroidery, quilting,

and special effect threads

because creativity is never black and white.

Koala Studios,

fine sewing furniture, custom-built in America.

Clover, making a difference

in sewing, quilting, crafting, and needle arts

for over 90 years.

Amazing Designs and Klassé needles.

In a traditional Lone Star design

there are three main pieces or shapes.

The diamond shape:

there are eight shapes put together.

Then a square in each corner.

Then at the top of the diamond

there's a quarter-square triangle

or just a triangle shape.

The problem occurs, or occurred for me

when I made my first lone star, was right in this intersection.

It's called a Y seam

where one, two, three seams come together.

You can see it's shaped like a Y.

I say, W-H-Y, why seam it that way?

Because oh, my goodness, I had problems.

I'll show you why.

Here is the traditional way

of making a Lone Star quilt block.

This is a rather large one.

Here's the square, where I had eight diamonds.

This intersection is the tricky part.

To work on this, you're always instructed

to mark 1/4" from the intersection seam.

There's a little pink dot there.

When I stitch together the diamonds

I stop stitching 1/4"

there's a 1/4" that is left unsewn

so that when this piece is sewn to the Y intersection

you have to align that little dot

right in that intersection where you stopped stitching.

Sew from the dot to the edge

and then cumbersomely sew from the dot to the other edge.

For those of you who are very precise

you can get that smack on.

But sometimes for me, it didn't happen so well.

Often, the fabric stretches a little bit out of shape

because there's a lot of bias edges.

It's just not my favorite way of doing things.

If you can do that, great.

But if you'd like a little streamlined technique

we're going to sew all straight seams.

To do that, I'm cutting the square in half diagonally

and doing the same thing with the triangle

cut it in half diagonally.

If you have a pattern at home,

let me start with the triangle.

Here's the shape of a triangle.

You cut it in half.

But then you need a seam allowance added.

So the seam allowance

is added to the edge where the cut was made.

The other section, this is a little smaller pattern piece

but you can see, here is the square

that has been cut diagonally.

Then, a seam allowance is added to the side.

The diamond shape stays the same.

You still have one, two, three pieces.

But not in the same configuration.

You can also use templates

that have already been designed that way.

I worked on those

so we didn't have to really make these changes.

Here are the templates.

You can make a variety of sizes, four different sizes from them.

Again, you can use anything that you have at home.

Just make the adjustment.

The template tells you how wide of a strip to cut

for that particular piece.

For each of these, you're going to do some tracing.

I've started to do this

where I would place the template on the cut fabric.

The fabric has been starched heavily or sprayed.

You'd trace along the edge, rotate this, trace.

Just fill in the blanks

so that you're filling all of the areas.

Perhaps you can see the triangles that are in that area.

For the diamonds, I have three fabrics stacked together.

I'd use the diamond shape.

Make sure you're doing this accurately.

I'm doing this kind of quickly here.

You'd trace the edges.

If this were flat, I'd slide it over.

Make sure it would be flat, and then trace the next section.

With your rotary cutter, ruler, and mat

you'll cut out each section.

I'm ahead of the game here, where I've cut along each line.

I'm going to stack them.

As you can see, you stack them together.

You're needing eight diamond shapes

eight large triangles, eight small triangles.

I have four in this stack right here,

where I have the small, the diamond, and the large.

Then you reverse the process with the remaining four.

You have a mirror image, where you have the large piece

the diamond, and the small triangle.

Now we have mirror images of the groups.

You may wonder how this is going to come together.

I'll do it at the sewing machine right now.

I've set my machine for a straight stitch

and have 1/4" width of a presser foot on it.

You'll see that in a few minutes.

Just a basic seaming technique that I'll be showing you.

Now, I'm going to review the shaping of the templates.

You have a small triangle, a large diamond

and a large triangle.

On the templates, it happens to be printed "A", "B" and "C"

so you know how to line these up.

On your other templates

you'll have to kind of organize them in this fashion.

You'll have four that you're going to be stitching

in this configuration.

Piece "A" is placed on piece "B".

You match the points, which I have here.

At the end, there's a little 1/4" seam allowance

that extends beyond the typical

extension that's found on most quilt patterns.

You may want to do a little pinning.

If you've starched or sprayed your fabric pieces

it will go so much easier.

Then just stitch with a 1/4" seam allowance

aligning those edges.

Even though we're sewing with straight stitching

it's still important for accuracy

because you have eight diamonds

that have to meet in the middle.

That's almost why I never gave that wedding gift away

that I made many years ago.

After doing the stitching, then we'll do some pressing.

We're going to press this seam away from the diamond shape.

Take some time to press.

You might want to check it.

Just top press from the right side

to make sure there isn't a tuck in the fabric.

Then you're going to add the remaining triangle

the larger triangle, to the section

and we'll have one-eighth of the Lone Star completed.

This was block or triangle "C".

It's placed on the unit that you have here.

We'll sew the straight seam.

You're going to be making eight in this configuration

as the template says, "A", "B" and "C".

The next thing I'll show you

are the remaining four.

Did I say eight before?

You're going to make four in this direction.

Then you're going to make four in the opposite direction.

Now, I'm stitching this together.

The edges are meeting.

Just sew with about a 2.0 mm or 2.5 mm stitch length.

As I get at the end, you'll see

that there's that 1/4" that's extended on the template.

That's right where the seam ends.

It's amazing how that works.

Then, you're going to do some more pressing.

This time, I'm going to press the seam away from the center.

It seems to work better that way.

I'll just press the seam.

Use plenty of steam.

Again, do some top pressing, to make sure there isn't a tuck

which I did press one right in there.

Now we have one-eighth of this block complete.

Then a little magic happens.

Here are the seams.

"A", "B", and "C" have been sewn together.

Four of them in this direction.

Then we'll make four in the opposite direction

mirror image.

You leave the diamond in the same shape

but you move one onto the other side

so it's "C", "B", and "A".

Now, piece "C" goes onto piece "B"

and a seam is stitched.

"A" goes onto "B", and a seam is stitched.

I'm going to show you how this comes together.

This is the magic

where I broke all the rules of this Lone Star quilt.

Unless you're going to be entering your quilt

in a big contest

I highly recommend it, because it's so much faster

than the traditional way of doing things.

Here's the first piece that I stitched,

the second piece that I just kind of walked you through.

You meet right sides together

and "A-ha!" you stitch the long seam.

No Y seams, how about that?

When you're done with that

you're going to press that seam open.

I recommend pressing it open.

I have four smaller samples to share with you

that you'd place together to make a block.

Let me just flip these around a bit

to make the configuration look good.

I think you get the idea how this block

goes together without any Y seams.

The title of this quilt design is Sew Grand Dresden.

I looked back over past Sewing with Nancy titles

and realized that I never used the word "grand" before!

With meanings such as majestic and impressive,

it sounds a bit boastful.

Yet grand appropriately describes

the large 38" Dresden plate appliquéd in the center

and four 16" Dresden plates

that frame the center of the motif.

The Dresden appliqué can be stitched

in approximately the same amount of time as smaller blocks.

Typically, Dresden Plate quilt blocks

which are appliquéd onto fabric, are 12" or 9"

but the center of this wall quilt is 36"

a really big statement

obviously the name, of the grand appliqués

that we're going to be working with today.

There are 20 wedges around the center.

The center block, or the center circle,

is about 8" finished size.

The center is comparable to the bigness

or the grandness of the wedges.

We've chosen five fabrics

and cut four wedges of each fabric to create this.

In the corners, we have 16" blocks

or 16" Dresden plates

with a 6" circle instead of the 8"

again, to make it proportionate.

My staff and I made this quilt several years ago

and then taught a class on it.

One of the students made this quilt

in totally different colors.

You can just see a different look.

Shelly Kahler is the designer of this

with beautiful blues and purples.

Same style.

I just like to show the same quilt pattern,

which is available in the book that accompanies the program,

in different color combinations.

Again, it makes a great impact.

When working with the big pieces of the Grand Dresden

you can work with templates.

You can elongate templates.

I've used this designing template

with both circles and long wedges.

Or, for the smaller sections, you can use this.

This is a see-through template

that makes up to 8", or a 16-1/2" block.

So, you have some choices to work with.

There are many more options out there.

For the fabric, for the large plate

I simply found on the Dresden itself, the designing tool,

that I can use an 8-1/2" circle, which is right here.

I put my tape measure there.

Then measure up to the 36" block.

It says on the tape measure to cut a strip that's 14-1/2".

If I was going to be working with a smaller strip,

the 6-1/2" circle with a 16" block,

I would be cutting, right here,

I would be cutting 5-1/4" strips.

You'll see that next.

You're going to measure on the design tool

what size of fabric.

You're going to be working in strips of fabric

and doing some tracing and cutting.

You may have seen me do this before.

It's not a new technique.

But if you haven't, it's worth knowing about.

You place the tool on the fabric

starting at a folded edge,

and then trace the edges with a fine marker.

Oops, I better trace one more edge before I do a rotation!

Trace, and then rotate.

Maybe at home, you can draw a little straighter than I am.

Here we go.

You keep on doing this by the length of the strip of fabric.

This is cut 5-1/4", as I measured earlier.

You just trace and trace.

Then, you could stack several layers of fabric

maybe up to four underneath this area.

Then cut along the edges to create the wedges.

So you're going to cut and cut.

You get the idea of what's happening, now.

After doing the cutting

fold the fabric in half, each wedge in half

and across the top, you're going to stitch...

chainstitch just with a 1/4" seam allowance.

Like little hot dogs, you chain them all together.

You're going to have 20 of these, one for each wedge.

You clip them apart, do some finger pressing

and press this seam open.

I've pressed the seam open already, how about that?

It works a little bit better.

So you could press it open and then turn it right side out.

With a tool, make sure you get a nice, sharp point.

On an index card, I marked a 45° line

because I can line that up with the seam of the fabric

to get it just in place.

Then press.

You'd press, not on your template, which I almost did

but just on the fabric.

Then, after you've pressed all 20 of these

I'll show you at the sewing machine

how to assemble the Dresden plate.

Whether you're making a grand Dresden block

or a smaller one, the assembly is all the same.

You're going to be pressing 20 wedges for each circle

and then sew them into pairs.

Meet right sides together.

I like to start stitching at the fold

because if I stitch a little off

I know it will always match where I start.

Set your machine for a 1/4" seam allowance.

I have it set for a center stitch.

There's a 1/4" mark on the plate of my machine.

Get it lined up right at the fold and stitch.

Just guide down the guide.

Then meet your next pair

have it handy at the sewing machine.

Match it up right at that fold area

and continue to chainstitch it together

just the same way that you saw the chain of the wedges

when I stitched across the top.

So, you're going to be creating ten pairs.

Then simply press the seams open.

You can do that easily at your ironing board.

I like pressing seams open in this instance

rather than to one side

because it distributes the bulk more evenly.

The pairs are sewn together so you'd have four sections.

You might want to get a different color combination.

There we go.

Then, if you wanted to add one more to this section

you'd have enough for a fan.

We're really not doing fans today

but you could make a fourth of a block

to create a fan.

Or, if you put four quadrants together

you've got it, you'd have a circle.

To place this on the fabric, what I like to do

is cut the background of the fabric

and then press it into four sections.

Fold it in half

fold it in half again, and press.

You can see the press marks.

What they help you do

is align this plate at the quadrant marks.

Pin it down.

You can simply topstitch this into place.

We like using clear monofilament thread in the needle

and matching thread to the fabric in the bobbin.

On my machine, I'm going to set it

for kind of a quilting, a blind hem stitch.

It's a straight stitch on the side

and then it just catches the fabric.

I'm going to lengthen it just a touch.

I don't have monofilament thread in here

because you wouldn't be able to see it.

I'm just going to show you

that you stitch along the side

and then it bites over and catches the fabric.

Stitches the side and bites.

You don't have to really worry about topstitching straight

because you have this particular stitch.

You just stitch around.

It takes a little time to appliqué it down.

It's kind of a fun process.

It will take a little bit longer

than what I'm showing you now.

I'll show you a close up of that stitch.

It just catches the fabric.

It looks like you've put it on by hand

but you put it on by machine.

Now to finish the block.

To finish this big or small appliqué

we're going to start with the center of the block.

You can use a plate to trace the pattern

or a template that is in three sizes.

The fabric is cut in a square, not a circle.

You could just use a scrap of fabric

making certain that it's larger

than the image that you're going to trace.

I have fabric, plus a secret ingredient

to make this work so well is fusible interfacing.

The smooth side of the fusible interfacing

is next to the right side of the fabric.

I'll put the template on

and trace in the die-cut areas around the curves.

After you trace this and pin the two layers together

set your machine for a short stitch length.

Here you can see that I'm sewing around this curve.

The short stitch length allows me to make the curve smooth.

It just goes a lot easier, like driving in the mountains,

you go slow.

So for circles, you do the same thing.

Then to do some trimming

we can notch and trim at the same time.

Use a pinking shears

or a pinking blade in your rotary cutter

the 45 mm rotary cutter.

I've started to do this.

Give yourself a 1/4" seam allowance.

Trim around the edges.

It's kind of fun to do.

Now, you need to do

some additional trimming on the inside

which I've already done.

Trim and leave one inch so that you have a hole

like a donut hole.

Now, to make that smooth seam, we have the pinked edge.

We have the short stitch length.

We turn this, so we have the right side out.

Then you kind of work around the edges a little bit.

You might want to use a creaser or a tool

just to help smooth the edge.

You see I have my ironing board handy

to my right, your left.

Then you're going to some pressing.

You may have to do a little rolling of the seams.

Take a little time to do the press.

But you will get a smooth shape without doing a lot of work.

You can see what I've just pressed.

This circle has been totally pressed.

If you'd like to center it on your square

fold it in half, fold it in half again

kind of pinch those marks.

Then mark those pinches right at the area

and appliqué it down.

The centers can also be a design feature.

We have three examples to show you of a grand style

a big appliqué, with a small center.

That same design now has a medium center.

Then, for more impact, a large center.

This quilt that my staff and I made

used the centers not only in the plate area, the Dresden plate,

but also in the corners of the blocks.

8-1/2", 6-1/2" and 4-1/2" circles

were used to carry out the theme.

I like the play of the design

and carrying the fabric used in the wedges

throughout the quilt.

It's a great way of working with a Dresden plate.

Once you know how to make a super-size Dresden block,

there are some other options you can create.

If you had some leftover fabric, which we did

after making the Christmas wall hanging, we made a tree skirt.

Using the largest, the 40" length

which would make a 40" diameter of the Dresden's plate,

to make a tree skirt, but we left out two wedges.

Instead of making 20, we have 18 wedges.

The back of the fabric is now

not a quilting fabric, but felt.

And it's been hand stitched,

which probably takes the most time, around the edge,

or you could use clear thread and, of course, topstitch.

The middle section, the circle,

is not put in place because you need the opening

for the trunk.

And it's finished with-- you could use purchased bias tape,

or make your own bias tape just to finish the edges.

I'd like to give you a few hints on how to do this

because once you know a technique,

it's always pays to apply it to a new idea.

So here are our 18 wedges that have been sewn together.

And I've pressed under

1/4"

on the two remaining edges where it isn't closed together.

So just press under those edges, and then,

measure the size of the circle, which we've already done,

as you can see.

But you can use a yardstick-compass.

Place the point in the center.

And then, measure to about 1/4" from the inset of the wedge.

And create a big circle.

Trace it on a piece of tissue paper.

Apply it to the back.

Cut out the opening, put a little bias tape,

and you have another option

for decorating for the holidays.

So, I hope you'll give that a try.

It's kind of fun to put together.

How to Make a Repeating Pattern in GIMP and Upload It to Redbubble - Duration: 4:17.

Hi everyone!

Today I'll show you how to make repeating patterns of your art using GIMP.

I'm starting with a painting I've scanned and cut out from its background.

I'll make the basis of the pattern a square so there's enough room for a second painting.

I'm making it transparent and then dragging the painting on top of the square and scaling

it down.

Merge the two layers.

Now to make the pattern repeat seamlessly, go to layer - transform - offset... and click

on the offset by x/2 and y/2 button and click offset.

Next we'll add the second painting in the middle.

Open it as a new layer and place it where you want to.

Merge that layer down and export as png image.

To see what the pattern looks like, go to filters - map - tile.

Set the dimensions to something bigger than the square and the pattern will be filled

out.

You can give it a background color by adding a new layer, filling it with the bucket tool

and moving the layer under the pattern.

If you upload your design to Redbubble, you can use the first square for most of the products.

To repeat the pattern, click edit, repeat and apply changes.

For some products you can use the tiled image we made.

You can see that the pattern is formed of rows and columns of flowers.

If you'd like them to repeat diagonally instead, we need to move some things around.

Let's go back to the square image and add a grid.

Go to image - configure grid and use it to divide the square into 4 parts.

My dimensions were 1800 px so I set the grid to 900 px.

Then go to view - show grid and again view - snap to grid.

Now we'll change the positions of the squares on the left.

Select one of them, cut it, paste it back and then move it out of the way.

Do the same to the other one but place it correctly with the help of the grid.

And move the first piece in its place.

Add the second painting in the middle and export as a png image.

To see what your pattern looks like, you need to manually copy and paste or duplicate these

pieces and place them together.

And in Redbubble, choose the second repeat button to make your pattern.

You can use this method to make patterns of your paintings, drawings and line art.

You don't even have to remove the background, you can also crop the paintings into circles

or other shapes and use them to make patterns.

If you want to make a repeating pattern by hand, check out Baylee Jae's video on that.

And I'll also link another video on making patterns in GIMP without removing the background

first.

Thanks for watching!

SciFi and Fantasy Short Story Audiobooks

Garg the Good by Dominic Bowers-Mason

I am Garg.

I am strong.

I am strong because I am Ogre.

No-one in the forest is stronger than me.

When I was young, the old Ogres make the rules, hit me when I don't follow.

Now I am older.

I make rules.

I go where I want.

I eat what I want.

I take what I want.

One day, I find something I want.

Pretty pink-skin sharpclub.

Bright stones on short round end, and long sharp end shimmers like pond water.

I want, so I take.

Little hard-shelled pink-skins have come to my forest with sharpclubs before, long time

ago.

They smarter than others.

They know that they can't hit stronger, so they need to hit better.

I am going to use pretty sharpclub to hit stronger AND better.

I am looking forward to using sharpclub to hit.

I am not expecting sharpclub to hit me.

Sharpclub is alive.

Sharpclub is angry.

It does not want what I want, and so it hits me.

I have been hit before.

I am strong so I can take hits.

But it hits my mind, and I do not know how to hit back.

For the first time in long, long time...

I submit.

Sharpclub is strong.

Sharpclub makes rules now.

Sharpclub tells me what to do.

Sharpclub makes me stop fighting others in forest.

Makes me give up land.

I do not want to, but Sharpclub makes rules now.

I am not strong now.

Eventually, Sharpclub stops being angry at me and starts being curious.

Sharpclub tells me her name.

She is Moonslicer, made by pink-skin shamans for pink-skin warriors.

I understand this.

She was made to kill pink-skin enemies.

But I am pink-skin enemy.

She does not kill me.

I do not understand this.

One day, while eating dinner, I ask Moonslicer.

"Why do you not kill me?"

"I don't understand your question," Moonslicer replies.

"You are pink-skin sharpclub," "Greatsword," Moonslicer interrupts.

"and you are made to fight pink-skin enemies."

"I was made to destroy evil," Moonslicer answers.

She always talks in strange riddles.

I have become used to this.

"Yes, evil.

I know this word.

It means pink-skin enemy.

I am pink-skin enemy.

I am evil.

Why do you not destroy me?"

Moonslicer does not answer for long time.

"You are... "pink-skin enemy", yes.

And most people would say you are evil... but I am not sure.

I expected you to fight me, but you didn't.

I expected you to resist when I told you to stop bullying the other creatures of the forest,

but you didn't."

"Moonslicer is stronger than Garg, so Moonslicer makes rules."

"All the same...

I think there might be some good in you, somewhere."

"...what is Good?"

I ask.

"Good is..."

Moonslicer stops talking.

I can feel she is confused.

"Good is... how to describe it?

It is..."

She stops again.

She is quiet for a long time.

"You know, I believe the best way to explain it is to show you.

Go to sleep Garg.

Tomorrow, we will start doing Good."

Next day, Moonslicer leads me to pink-skin home, in the middle of fields.

No pink-skins there right now.

She shows me broken walls.

Tells me to take stones and fix walls.

Then we leave.

I do not understand.

"Why do we fix walls?"

I ask.

"Those walls protect the humans from harm," Moonslicer says.

"They have been torn down by raiders over the years.

By repairing the walls, you have made the humans more safe.

More strong."

"Why do I make them safe?"

I ask.

"I am pink-skin enemy.

I do not want them to be strong."

"Patience, Garg," Moonslicer says.

"Have patience and faith.

You will understand eventually."

I do not believe her, but I say nothing.

This does not make sense.

This is pink-skin strangeness.

For the next two seasons, Moonslicer keeps sending me out to pink-skin lands.

Fixing walls.

Catching cows and taking them back to paddocks without eating them.

Sometimes she makes me scare humans on roads.

Sometimes she makes me hide from humans on roads.

She calls the ones I scare "bandits" and the ones I hide from "merchants".

I do not understand the difference.

"The merchants are weaker humans," Moonslicer says.

"The bandits are stronger, and want to take from the merchants.

You are driving them away from the roads so that they do not take from the merchants anymore."

"This makes sense" I say.

"They are stronger, they take what they want.

But why do you make me scare them so they cannot?"

"Because it is not good for the strong to take what they want from the weak."

"This Good does not make sense.

I will never understand" "You will understand" Moonslicer says.

"Have faith."

For many more seasons, Moonslicer makes me do many things I do not understand.

Eventually pink-skins... humans... start to see me.

At first they are afraid.

I understand this.

But they slowly become less afraid.

They no longer run when they see me.

I do not understand this.

I dig long ditches from the river to their farms.

I build walls along their roads.

I bring large sacks of food to their towns and leave them there.

One season, there is a great storm.

Moonslicer wakes me during the night, urges me to leave the cave and go to the human lands.

There is a town I have been near many times before.

The river that flows through the village is flooding.

The humans are splashing, shouting, drowning.

They are scared.

Moonslicer sends me through the flood to their homes.

I lift humans from the water and put them at the top of the homes.

I do this again, and again.

I am tired, but Moonslicer pushes me on.

I save more humans, I wade through the water that is up to my chest.

I save the male humans, the female humans, the young humans, the old humans.

I save all of them.

When the dawn comes and the water goes down, I am more tired than I have ever been.

I sink to my knees.

I know the humans will kill me while I am asleep but I am too tired to get away.

I fall asleep.

I wake up.

I am not wet, cold or tired.

I am warm, dry, resting on something soft and comfortable.

I recognize it as a human barn - I have brought escaped horses to these before.

I am covered in many skins.

I am lying in dried grass - the humans call it hay.

A male human comes in.

He sees I am awake.

He does not run or look scared.

Instead he smiles.

He brings a large bundle up to me.

The bundle has meat in it.

Good, cooked meat.

Better than I've ever tasted.

I watch him carefully, but I am hungry and I concentrate on eating.

Once I am done, he takes the bones and the bundle away.

The day goes by, and many humans come to the barn.

Some hide by the door and only stare at me.

Others come in.

I recognize many of them as the humans I saved last night.

I am still tired, so I lie in the barn.

I feel...

I do not know how to describe it.

The humans do not threaten me, but not because I am stronger.

Finally, in the evening, many humans come to the barn.

They bring Moonslicer with them.

"I have been negotiating with the humans on your behalf," she says.

"They are going to give you this barn to live in as a new home.

They will give you food, while you keep the roads safe from bandits and help them tend

their flocks and fix their buildings.

I will stay with you to guide you."

I am quiet for a long time.

"I do not understand."

I say.

"If I was strong, and I came to take these things, they would not give them to me.

They would run, or fight."

"But you didn't come to take them," Moonslicer replied.

"And that is what makes the difference.

You have made the humans' homes safe.

You have protected their merchants.

You have rescued their animals.

And now you have saved their lives.

And because you gave and gave and did not take, they now want to give to you, freely.

And as long as you do not wish to take, you will receive.

By serving them, you are now more free than you ever were in the forest.

Not because you are strong.

But because you are a friend.

They are your strength now, and you are theirs.

This is what Good is."

And I understand.

Nobody cares about the 'woulda, coulda, shouldas' - Duration: 2:50.

Nobody cares about the 'woulda, coulda, shouldas'

Nobody cares about the woulda, coulda, shouldas. Lee Yeon Hee: NOT in Girls Generation. This articles a little harsh, but I cant say I disagree. Im getting a little bored by the constant reporting of such non-news too:.

Almost was? Wouldve been? Were overrun with meaningless confessions! I was almost a member… I wouldve been in that… These days, there are lots of stars making unseemly confessions — after-the-fact secret stories like, I was almost ___. These stars make such statements to appeal to the publics sense of curiosity, but only leave bitterness behind.

Recently, comedian Hong Rok Gi taped an episode of MBC Everyones Neverending Show and revealed, I was supposed to be a member of [hit 90s pop group] Clon. Not too long ago, Lee Yeon Hee caught peoples attention when she said on KBS2s Sang Sang Plus, I was almost a member of Girls Generation. ….

Lee Jung Yong, NOT of Legend. There are other stars who claim they were almost members of popular idol groups. Jin Ju is one such example — she stated that she was almost in the group SES.

These almost were confessions arent just limited to these types of statements.

On a recent appearance on MBCs variety show Jipijigi, Lee Jung Yong drew interest from his admission that hed had to give up the chance to appear in the MBC fantasy historical Legend when he was picked to be the representative for the 2007 bodybuilding conference.

Its not new for casting secrets to be summarized in this way.

Han Ye Seuls role in the MBC hit Fantasy Couple was originally cast with Uhm Jung Hwa, and people have mentioned the casting details of the film The King and the Clown, which shot Lee Junki to stardom.

The anecdote that Chae Jung Ahn was cast in a stroke of good luck to pinch-hit for Kim Ah Joong in MBCs Coffee Prince is another one thats been spread around.

Uhm Jung Hwa, NOT of Fantasy Couple; Han Ye Seul as Anna. But these meaningless confessions only serve to cause bitterness.

Saying things like I was almost a member of… or I was almost cast in… can make the star look like they harbor personal disappointments or even that theyve lost their sense of courtesy.

While the person concerned may divulge a meaningless trifle in a light story, once the words are dispersed they can inflict injury to another party.

Not only are these stories of missed castings impolite to the person who took on the role eventually, it can also be seen as an insult by the other party.

When wondering at the reason for such confessions that just highlight a stars own selfishness, one can look to the success that such projects have earned.

One has to wonder at the likelihood of Lee Jung Yong explaining that hed given up a role in Legend if that series hadnt been a hit.

In truth, even if these stars had followed through and been cast, theres no assurance that the projects were likely to succeed. There is also no meaning or reason for these stars to reference missed opportunities in their past.

Its time for these stars to stop the bitterness of their meaningless confessions and heed caution.

Kim Ah Joong, NOT in Coffee Prince; Chae Jung Ahn as Yuju.

Can Han Ye Seul break the jinx? - Duration: 4:17.

Can Han Ye Seul break the jinx?

Can Han Ye Seul break the jinx?.

Actress Han Ye Seul is coming out with her first film, Miss Gold Digger (literally Careful Miss Shin), and shes pretty proud of herself: This may sound arrogant, but as my first film, Im extremely satisfied.

But the big question that everyone (else) is wondering is whether shes going to be any good.

Its interesting that shes constantly being compared to Kim Tae Hee in the press, which is never a good thing when the point of comparison is the acting.

Han Ye Seuls situation offers a little more hope, though, I think: Although she was known for being on the weaker end of the talent scale for her previous work (i.e., Tale of the Nine-tailed Fox), 2006s Fantasy Couple surprised everyone with her delightfully abrasive and funny portrayal of Sangshil/Anna.

I thought she was atrocious in Nonstop but her stiff speech patterns worked very well in Fantasy Couple. I dont think Id buy her in a more natural role, but she might be decent at playing extreme characters.

As for Miss Gold Digger, its described as a comic drama wherein Miss Shin dates many men as though shes shopping for them. It releases on the 18th.

Will Han Ye Seul Awaken from Song Hye Gyo and Kim Tae Hees Nightmares? What three things do Song Hye Gyo and Kim Tae Hee have in common? Theyre beautiful top stars. And their film debuts left a bitter taste behind.

Having risen to top star status through television and CF work, a good many beautiful actresses found themselves in harsh waters in their big-screen debuts.

Song Hye Gyo co-starred in her first movie, My Girl and I, with Cha Tae Hyun and flopped; her second was the historical epic blockbuster Hwang Jini, which disappointed its expectations. Kim Tae Hees situation is similar.

Generally recognized as having the best looks, middling talent, she attempted to challenge herself in The Restless with Jung Woo Sung at the end of last year, but it was a fruitless effort.

The production costs of Song Hye Gyos Hwang Jini and Kim Tae Hees The Restless add up to more than 20 billion won — enough to produce five films or more.

Although Hwang Jinis performance was seen as a failure, Song Hye Gyo did receive some praise for her stable performance, and Kim Tae Hees complete image turnaround in the recently released Fight raises expectations for a new side to her.

Here we have one more TV beauty with her film debut just in front of her. Its kkoraji Han Ye Seul [her catch-phrase from her breakout series Fantasy Couple, meaning What a sight].

Having worn monpe-style pants and flower-print blouses and devoured jajangmyun on television, shes once again ruined her image in her transition to the silver screen. Its Miss Gold Digger (Dir.

Park Yong Jip, Sidus FNH Productions). She acts pure and innocent, then wails at the top of her lungs, dances in a bookstore, and wears a white veil to sing hymns.

Thats because her sly Miss Shin character knows how to change herself perfectly to fit the man shes angling after.

The film is a lively romantic comedy featuring the advertising executive Shin Misu, who lives by the motto Two-timings a given, three-timings easy, Ill find my man myself as she shops around for men.

Co-starring as the third-generation chaebol Joon Seo is the comically deft Kwon Woo Joong, Surgeon Bong Dal Hees Kim In Kwon as law student Yoon Chul, and Son Ho Young as the sexy gym guy.

In the film, Han Ye Seul customizes her efforts to captivate each of them. According to producers, Han Ye Seul acts whole-heartedly, even appearing without makeup.

Dancing in the streets, wailing at the top of her lungs and so forth, she thoroughly ruins her image.

Fans who are eagerly anticipating whether Han Ye Seul will be able to break the jinx of beautiful stars like Song Hye Gyo and Kim Tae Hee who flopped in their first screen challenges will head to theaters at the end of the year to find out.

Okay, this article is part valid, and part RIDICULOUS. Pretty actor curse? HA.

How about this-is-the-result-of-mediocre-talent-not-being-enough- to-sustain-otherwise-pretty-stars- in-the-harsh-world-of-film-criticism? I mean, its hardly fair to make it seem like these poor actresses are the victims here, and that the quality of their work had nothing to do with it.

Im not saying Han Ye Seul is necessarily in the same category as the others (Im rather hoping she proves to be a decent actor), but call a spade a spade. Via Osen, Sports Seoul.

No celebrity good deed goes unpunished

No celebrity good deed goes unpunished.

Actress and bone marrow donor Choi Kang Hee. Alls Is gotta say is: Anti-fan culture is ridiculous. Even supposing a celebrity donates money or performs an act of charity purely for the attention, the bottom line is that worthy causes are benefited.

As far as Im concerned, thats what we call a win-win situation.

Stars good deeds meet with harsh criticism When news of my charity work is reported, I fear the rise of antis. Not long ago, thats what actor Kim Tae Hee said in an interview with the press.

Shes been a spokesperson for three years for the Make a Wish charity, and in June she even donated 5 million won herself to the group.

However, she tries to keep news of such events from leaking out because she wants to avoid the negativity that results, expressed in comments like, Shes just trying to act angelic and Its a publicity stunt..

(On left) Envelope: Donation. Computer: Do you just want to seem angelic?. (Right) Heart: Bone marrow donor. Netizen: Publicity stunt!.

Kim Tae Hee volunteering at a food bank. Recently, actress Choi Kang Hee met with the same kind of response after donating bone marrow.

The negative backlash was scathing, ranging from Even saying she intended for the news to be kept private was a play for attention to Shes pretentious. Singer Jang Nara, whos in China to promote charity work, has said, I couldnt even step outside my home because of all the hateful comments. With negative reactions frequently accompanying acts of celebrity kindness, even stars themselves sometimes grumble that I cant even do something I should do with an easy mind. The tone of self-mockery in comments like Id rather not do anything then, but I cant do that either practically serves to prevent them from acts of goodwill.

Contrary to the Hollywood culture that applauds altruism by celebrities, the Korean climate, always ready to see the smallest good deed through prejudiced eyes, is an obstacle to the culture of celebrity charity work.

(Yeah, some stars are annoying when they make constant desperate bids for attention.

But is this in the same league as, say, flashing some skin onstage? So what if Kim Tae Hee isnt truly angelic? She can flatter her vanity AND donate 5 million won to a charitable cause or work at a food bank for a few hours, and the world is no worse the wear for it — minus all the bitter comments that serve no purpose but to make anti-fans feel sanctimonious.

Wheres your bone marrow donation?).
