don't really want to soupy bananas raw doggin it damn damn damn damn damn hello
everybody welcome to my kitchen today I'm gonna be cooking some healthy
food that doesn't suck what I'm working with today is oat bran eggs
aluminum free baking powder and bananas so naturally I'm gonna be making pancakes
you may have noticed my bananas look disgusting sorry about that
these were previously frozen a really good thing to do when you've got
leftover bananas well not necessarily leftover but bananas that are like going
bad peel them and freeze and then you've got this delicious banana whenever you want to bake
anything oat bran I'm pretty sure oat bran is just regular oats that have been
purified or like blended I could be wrong I have no idea the last time I
made these I didn't measure I just kind of threw them together but they turned
out so good yeah I posted a picture on my Instagram @Alexandra_Napoli people were like
what's the recipe and I was like I don't know so that was one cup of oats four
bananas one egg get all that in there one teaspoon of baking soda mix it up
the reason I love this recipe is a it's super-easy four ingredients that's it
you don't need to add any sugar any sweeteners the bananas will be really
sweet when they're super ripe and like black that's when they're the sweetest
so those are really the bananas that you want to use for baking not the green
bananas or like the just ripe bananas cuz those won't be very sweet at all but
I think I achieved here today that was basically rotten banana smells really
good though yeah so this recipe is gluten free and like so little
ingredients so easy to whip together and what do I think about the consistency
maybe I'll add a little bit more of the oat bran I'm not actually sure what
consistency I'm going for but something a bit more solid oh my god switch arms whoo you
gotta balance it out end up with one real jacked-up shoulder
so that seems a bit better to me so now all you need to do is just let this sit
for a couple of minutes and let the baking powder work its magic so when you
come back in a couple of minutes maybe it's a little bit bubbly maybe it's a
little bit exactly the same as it was before there's some chemistry going on
so you really want to let the baking powder work a little bit before you cook
it so rest this for about 10 minutes and
then we'll be back to get them on the grill all right it's been 10 minutes as
you can see our batter is delicious it smells really really good the banana is
like mmm step one griddles don't burn yourself
this business is hot so I'm taking her up to 300 gonna grease her up a
little bit I have some organic ghee you can use butter ghee is basically butter
it's just better butter if you make them in a frying pan you always use butter so
butter with baked goods it's like gold spread it around a little bit
the problem with the grill is that the oil doesn't really disperse
well because it's so non-sick you probably don't even really need oil
it's more like a flavour thing we've got our batter I'm gonna make like a a
dollop and then kind of press it down cuz it is a little bit thick so I want
to make sure that it's not too too too thick so it doesn't cook all the way
through and then I'm gonna try to get them all about the same size dollop
these are not very round yet I've got kind of like blag happening so I'm
gonna let that cook for a little bit the trick with pancakes when you get them on
the grill you want to kind of do a first batch the first batch is always going to
be the crummiest batch and then the next batch is always get better oh I'm
starving and this smells so good everything that's happening my
stomach's like NOW I really love cakes pancakes are delicious and they're
obviously like nowhere near ready okay we need to go up to 350 that's what's
happening I'll let the 350 happen over there look

like Hello so Pat it down a little bit again these are really thick so we want
to kind of like help it cook all the way through as quickly as possible
damn you guys look good just all me yeah I make perfect pancakes every time no
recipe huh let's move these up a little bit
oops that probably wasn't good for the bottom I'm gonna try to get another rack
on here racks on racks on racks and I'm trying to
be perfect for you guys oh yeah make all the pancakes my pancakes bringing all
the boys to the yard and they're like it's better than yours
damn right it's better than yours I could teach you this is free so I guess the
thing with the griddle you kind of just have to watch it really cuz it's like in
a frying pan you can like hear cuz it's sizzling and you can it's more intuitive
whereas on here you actually have to be like are you burning so round one of
pancakes delicious so just set these to the side on a plate to cool and I
keep racking it up do I want a little bit more butter why not more butter is
always better know your limit play within it see it's the oil that makes
this sizzle not the griddle the griddle could be like 400 degrees and it
wouldn't even sizzle and of course you can make these in a pan the first time I
made them I made them in a pan - that is a-okay all right let's see what we're
working with you oh my flips are so good yes yes yes yeah pancake this is gonna
be a weird little guy who talks to me I have no idea are you ready
nope not good no should I do it should I do it
yes these pancakes are really good they are so surprisingly delicious
there's no sugar there's no fat except for a little bit of butter we put on the
grill which probably didn't even need to put on the griddle I'm speaking with my
mouth full and the mother would not be happy
these are so fucking nice well my mom also wouldn't be happy about that sorry mom
we're making pancakes god give me cake every day I'm in heaven this doesn't take that long
to cook I made enough pancakes for three people how many do you want cuz I'm
having 6 Idon't think it gets any better then this, oh wait it does mmm oh yeah we're doing it um ah
