Silva again.
Did you see that!
He just picked him apart.
Three hits, boom, boom.
He came off the top on that.
Wow!
We're getting prepped for the weekend.
Big fight coming on, we need to get geared up.
Michael loves it!
Yesterday was a blur, pretty much, with the fight.
I fell asleep on his couch
for about five, ten minutes about 5 pm.
Freshened up a bit, kept drinking,
had friends come over, kept drinking after that.
Not a lot, not a lot. We had some whiskey's.
It was a long day.
I was feeling it.
I'm paying for it.
It was good. It was a good day.
The fight was interesting, which was good.
Let's go and do it!
Bit late in today, huh?
Huh?
Bit late in today?
Yep.
Struggle to recover from this—
No, no, no, I left on time, I just forgot my laptop at home.
Cause I worked from home on Saturday, and I forgot.
So I had to turn around…
Are you ready for our meeting?
For the next few weeks, you need to hammer,
structurally, this team.
Yep. So who is doing the review?
I told him to, to call and book it for next week.
I will get somebody else,
it's not gonna result in a direct sale.
No excuses.
There are too many excuses
that are happening right now.
Yes. Correct. And he needs to cut through all of them.
And he will.
What else is gonna happen is:
You're gonna have days with poor results.
Which is fine, it's just
another challenge that we go through.
It's about making sure that those processes,
procedures, actions that they need to take,
Make sure that the results are gonna be achieved.
They just have a little concern, that their,
their expectations.
The standards.
You know, when there's a standard
that's set we should meet that standard.
Regardless of whatever it is.
That's, that's more of what we need
to continually work on.
You know, if there is an expectation, by any manager,
that this is done by a certain time,
it's done by that time.
It's not one minute late, it's not ten minutes late,
it's not 'extension required'.
It's not "oh I had a big weekend."
Or whatever it is.
Right? It's on that time, and that's what's expected.
Because fundamentally, it comes back to:
"What is our sales process?"
And we need to stand by the process
that we implement.
And then, monitor, analyse,
report on which parts are not quite working.
That's okay, let's just work on those parts.
It's just, if you're expected to do this,
then you're expected to do this.
You're being paid in order to do that.
Right. To deliver on that time.
And that's the professionalism that we need to have,
if we want to be world-class.
You are in complete control of your result.
Regardless of any excuse that you have.
So, if you can:
One: Follow the steps, and reverse-engineer
how you're gonna get to that end goal,
You should turn out x amount of results,
through that process.
For us it's okay.
Because for people who are higher-up
in the organisation, they get it.
Because they've seen the changes before that.
But the new people who are involved,
They're just thinking,
"Oh my God. Do I do this, do I do that?
My head's going nuts."
Which also affects their performance.
It's hard to say what we stand for,
when we don't know exactly what we're doing.
When it worked best was when we weren't changing.
And we said "This is what we believe in,
let's just do this."
And get everyone to buy into that.
The reality of it is,
if you want it bad enough, you'll work it out.
If you want to have the results,
and you want to have the income,
you want to generate the returns that you're after,
you'll find a way.
Everything outside of that is just an excuse.
It's a story that you're telling yourself.
Really important is that you focus on,
"How am I going to get the result?"
And just all the rest of the crap out of sight.
Don't focus on any of the stories
that you're trying to paint.
They're just stories.
They're just stories that you have currently,
and you need to get rid of those stories,
and just re-focus your attention on
"How am I going to get this result?
How does it work for me?
What is the process that I need to take
these clients down?"
And don't let anything limit you.
Just weather the storm and…
Just pull a Mayweather.
Weather the storm and beat him in the tenth round.
