My name's Priyanka.

I'm a teacher at Doomadgee State School.

There's a film crew here.

They've given me a list of questions,

so I'm going to read them,

and hopefully answer some of your questions.

So, the first one is I'm a book addict.

How often is the mail delivered (that is, books)?

Plus, is there always somewhere to donate them

after I've finished with them?

So, the mail is delivered regularly.

We have planes that come in every day,

so if you get anything express posted,

it does come in on the planes.

Otherwise, we do have a truck that comes in once a week

with the rest of the mail.

And yes, you can donate your used books.

There's a few different places that will take them.

There's the woman's shelter or My Pathways,

which encourages locals, does literacy programmes

with local community members.

So, they're definitely a way to get books

and also to donate them.

Next question.

Within a remote community like Doomadgee,

what can you expect to be doing with your family

on the weekends?

The weekends here, you know, you can choose.

You can stay home, relax, watch a movie,

get some extra sleep in, or you can get outdoors.

There's, we're pretty close to Burketown,

which is some of the most famous fishing spots

in the world.

So, if you are keen to bring a boat up,

you can go out and fish.

Also, we're not too far from Lawn Hill National Park,

which is a great spot for some canoeing and some swimming.

There's also the Gregory River,

which is about two hours away

and another great spot for swimming.

Next one.

Is there air con in schools?

Yes, all our classrooms are air-conditioned,

and you can control the temperature

from within your classrooms.

Generally, the kids feel a lot colder than the teachers do,

so you have to compromise.

Last question.

If there are no shops, how do I work out my weekly shop?

It's not like I could pop across the road

for a loaf of bread if I forget.

We do have a shop here that is open seven days a week.

On Saturdays it's open just, Saturdays and Sundays it's open

just till 12:30, and it has all the essentials.

So, you know, your bread, milk, rice,

and it does get in fresh fruit and veggies each week.

We've also got the Roadhouse, which has fuel and a few other

bits and pieces, and that's open seven days a week, as well.

But, if you are really keen on specialised items, you can do

a online order from Woolworths either in Mount Isa

or Townsville, and it will be brought in on the truck.

Beef Gola Kabab (Eid Special) With English Subtitle | - Duration: 4:42.

Hello Friends

Today we are going to make Beef Gola Kabab

For this, we need

I have soaked them in water, you can use white or brown bread

I have chopped ground beef very thin

Star with chopping Onion, Coriander & Green Chili

We'll chop them

Add all these in chopper and chop them

We need chop them very thin

We'll take a bowl and add Ground Beef in it

There should be no water in mince

Now we'll add these chopped Onion, Coriander & Green Chili

Then Ginger & Garlic Paste

It will be very juicy

Pinch of meat tenderizer

or Papaya

Whatever is availabe

Then we'll add crushed chili, crushed coriander

And salt to taste

Now add bread and squeeze all the water

1 Egg

Mix it well

It's marinated

Now we'll give it coal smoke

Use foil or small steel plate

Put hot coal over it

And some oil

And cover it

We'll give it smoke for 10-15 minutes

Then it will marinate and enhance flavor as well

Now make kabab

You might feel it's soft but it is totally fine

It will not break and will be juicy as well

Crunchy from outside and delicious

It's ready now

At this stage, you either fry or freeze for later use

I'm frying some and keeping some for later use

Use any small cooking rod or anything and make hole

Like Seekh Kabab

Then fry them

One by one

Have a look again

You can chicken kabab with same procedure

But You don't have to make holes in chicken kabab

Because chicken cooks easily and fast

Because it's beef so we have to make hole

It looks good in this shape as well

Make it as I said

You can freeze them as well

And fry them later on

We'll fry some and rest will freeze

Which you can serve later to your guests

Serve with Rice or Tea

As a side dish

Give it to your kids or make sandwiches for them

Once it's golden brown

It means it's ready

We'll take out on kitchen towel or butter paper

It's not hard and it will be juicy

It's ready, It'll show you in serving dish

Garnish with Onion & Lemon
