Youtube daily report Nov 20 2017

Now we have arrived.

here...

Here is my bed.

And we have borrowed this cabin from

some friends of my mother.

so

Now I was supposed to ski, the time is half past seven.

but I'm not doing it anyways

so now I'm just going to relax

My father is going to make some dinner while I'm going to

relax and watch television

and we start training again tomorrow.

What do you think?

We can just wait until tomorrow.

No need to stress today.

So, we're waiting until tomorrow.

And we are just going to relax now, there is not much more to say

but

another day went by

one day closer to the opening weekend

and the first ski race

now we are back on skis

just look at this sunset.

now its 8.15 AM

And the sun is rising

Now I'm doing some speed workouts

I think we can just jump right to the speed workouts.

but before that, some more warming up

Now we have sprinted enough.

And we have this amazing winter sun

8 laps

more than enough for

a guy like me

now

are going another 50 minutes

out in the sun, while having fun

and after that, we're going inside

I hope that I have improved my speed after today

we will find out in five days from now

Now it's Tuesday

ready for some intervalls

my last intervall before

the big opening this Friday

and today we are going on skate skis

he is walking around with his thumb

but now we are doing intervalls

and we are doing 2x8 minutes

plus 4x4, at least

i dont think we will settle with 4x4

more like 7x4 I think

no rest on a Tuesday morning

so I just have to do my best

now:intervall!

Now we are done

I hope that I have better skis and a better day at Friday, then what I had today

because today it wasn't easy

now I have to get inside and relax

and just rest until Friday, if this is to go

If I'm hoping to go a good race

but with todays skis

im not sure if I would reach top 150 at Beitostølen

so

I still have 2-3 days now

so we can hope that things get better

during the next two days

if not it can be a heavy start at the season

so now I'm just going to find my bed

what are you doing now?

watching series, eating

and I'm drinking blackcurrant juice

and I have moved from my bed to this chair

and back and forth during the excercises

now I'm soon heading out for the second time today

my grandfather is preparing my skis, hopefully better ones than this morning

because they where not good this morning

complaining on your skis?

actually, I'm complaining on that set of skis yes

they were not good

that just doesn't work for me...I get grumpy

now I'm going to listen on music and go a easy second workout

And then I will be ready for Beitostølen tomorrow morning

And then it begins

Now we are at Beitostølen

Finally

Now I have eaten a bit

And I'm preparing for the media

that begins now

it starts at 2 PM, now it is 1.45PM

I need to get myself a sweater and a jacket we are going to use

I think we will be right on time

So now I just have to answer the questions good

It will last for about 90 minutes

It will last that long

Tell us about your last year.

It has been a good year

And I have learned a lot the past year.

Now we are here again, the year went by pretty fast.

It will be good to start competing again

I have missed it

We are out skiing now

tomorrow is the big day

we have warmed up for 25 minutes

now I have done 2 out of 4 laps

this morning we did a normal

race prep

and things feel good now

Now we are closing in

i didn't get a chance to film today because there where too many people here

it has been a chaotic day

but that is just how things are

Now I can do my thing alone without all the people around

it is pretty much no Norwegians out here now

now I have only two workouts left

before the first race

this evening I'm going to go on a little run

and also a easy run tomorrow morning

now I'm handing over the camera to my grandfather

and it is probably way too dark to see anything at all

but it was the best we could do

now I'm going to ski!

Now the big day is finally here

Today we are starting with 15 kilometers

The conditions are good, and it snowed a lot this night

it may be a bit loose snow, but that doesn't have to be a disadvantage

it will be good to start again

now I'm doing my last preparations

doing a 30 minutes run

and then

I'm going in to eat breakfast

and

I'm going to look at the ladies when they are going

and test some skies

and do final preparations

as you can hear it is a bit windy out here

so that is my plan now

doing some easy running

you have seen that before, so I'm not going to film that

I think we will start off with the race

I can talk after I have tested my skis

and how my body is responding

and I will update you right before we are starting of

Now it race time!

they say if you have good grip here

it will be great further in the track

I'm just going to trust my ski preparer

now it is one hour until start

soon I'm going to start warming up

Now the vlog has waited for 30 minutes, what do you have to say to that?

I think you should be happy with your son today

and I think he is good at telling everybody today was a good race

you learned him that?

I'm learning him everything

we need to have some fun!

and we had fun with him because he didn't find his glasses

and then he remembered giving them to his grandfather in the track

I sorry for that the vlog had to wait 30 minutes

But now we are finished.

I think you should stop giving all the interviews

this is the most important interview

but we are done, second place is also good!

good to be back.

it is good that my body is working

now I think we are going to jump in the bus

just going to grab my bag and get back and relax

Because tomorrow is a new day, with new opportunities

and tomorrow it will be show!

Now it is 20 minutes until start

we have tested skis now

now it is exactly 20 minutes until we are going

going to warm up a bit more

then change in the trailer and run of to the start

and go as hard as I can for 3.5 minutes

and then relax a little bit before going 3.5 minutes some more times

and hopefully I am going to do that four times

Go Johannes!

Now the prologue is done

It was a good prologue for me

now I'm starting first in the quarter finals

and I'm really excited to go now!

I have a plan to try some now things today

and also start off a bit behind, so we will see how that goes

closing in

my GoPro stopped working, of course, so I didn't get a chance to talk

but now we are done with both quarter and semi finals

they went good, so now we are ready for the finals

im not really sure how to do this, the others look strong

i have to do something smart

but I really want to make a show

so we will see if I am strong enough to do that

and Eirik Brandsdal is asking for a show

and he wants to go fast

and of course I have to make a show then

Now it is finals!

Now you have waited long again

I'm sorry for the, but it is so much that is going on here

now we are done

I came first and I am really happy

I was hoping that Brandsdal should make a bigger show, but

we can wait with that until next weekend

now we are heading home, and of course the Valdresfløy is closed because bad weather...

so it will be a long trip back home for me

so I'm just going to sleep in the car

but now we are finished!

And the Beito weekend is finally over

Now we have passed the Valdresfløy

We are so happy that they opened up that road, because we saved ourselves 2.5 hours

It would have been a real pain having to drive for eight hours today

Now we are done with both sprint and the Beito weekend

we are the only ones that are going home today

and that is good

we are glad to be on our way back home

we have a bit more than 3 hours to go now

3.5 hours I'd say

it takes time

but we are not complaining

so soon we are stopping on Dombås to refuel the car

and maybe buy something good to eat

and after that we are going the final way back home

and he has been talking a lot to the media today

and said a lot of things

and that is something you have to go and read

or, dont do it...

we are both happy with the opening weekend at Beitostølen

and we are looking forward to next weekend

Now the weekend at Beito is over, and we are going home!

The Cannibalistic Mating Ritual of the Praying Mantis - Duration: 2:14.

The praying mantis appears to be such a zen and calm creature.

After all, the prayer is directly in it's name!

But the praying is understandable considering any sexual encounter for the male mantis,

might be fatal.

Praying mantis' are characterized by the unique and specialized behavior of sexual

cannibalism.

The sperm transfer process can be quite lengthy, so this means that it's important for a

male to occupy his female partner's' attention for as long as possible.

More time equals more of his own sperm making its way into her reproductive tract AND less

time for other males to have a similar chance.

And one good strategy to maximize his monopoly on a female's' time is by letting her reach

back, rip off his head, and begin to consume it.

Although in some cases a male might try to escape, this may not be in his best biological

interest.

You see, while she is enjoying her appetizer, his body continues to rhythmically pump sperm

into her body.

Once she's done eating the head, she will begin to consume the rest of his body, and

all the while his sperm continues to perform the only task that matters to his future biological

existence.

By the time a female has finished consuming the male, there is a very good chance that

a significant amount of his sperm is alive and well in her sperm storage organ, and will

be used to sire the next generation.

Although it seems a rather severe way to attain biological fitness, it makes sense seeing

as many of these males will only ever get a few chances at copulation during their lifetimes.

Despite the fact that it's a strategy unlike anything close to what humans would encounter,

it seems to work well for several species of mantis across the world.

I'm sure their future offspring would thank them for taking one for the team.

Whoever said that must have met Charlie Puth.

But he can't be that dumb, because he's

a decent songwriter.

I'm a bit confused because I'm probably young,

How Tear Gas Works - Duration: 6:20.

Picture this: You are walking down a long boulevard arm-in-arm with other protesters,

chanting, shouting expletives, expressing your discontent with the day's political

or social concern.

You grow in number as you approach your rendezvous point but halfway through your march, you

are blocked by a wall of riot shields and the heavily geared riot police to make sure

that the protest does not go devastatingly awry.

Unfortunately, things do not go as planned.

Somehow, somewhere, someone started a ruckus and everything begins to fall apart.

What was intended as a peaceful demonstration turned into a riot.

Law enforcers begin to move in to subdue the violence and protesters begin to defend themselves

from potential harm and abuse and, like a silent missile being shot into the sky, a

silver tin canister flies above everyone's heads, a thick, white plume of what seems

to be smoke trailing from behind it.

People begin to disperse as the canister lands with and the thick cloud of smoke-like vapour

begins to spread and thicken.

Panic ensues and people run away from it; those who are unlucky get their senses bombarded

with a stinging sensation that stabs the eyes and constricts the lungs and airways.

It's tear gas.

Tear gas is a collective term for lachrymatory agents that are a mixture of, generally, non-lethal

compounds designed to irritate the respiratory system and, most commonly, the eyes which

may incapacitate anyone with temporary blindness.

These compounds are used by many for self-defence but are most commonly employed by law enforcement

officers and the military to disperse large crowds or in much more dangerous missions.

WHAT IS TEAR GAS AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

As mentioned earlier, tear gas is a collective term for a number of different riot control

agents.

Despite its misleading namesake, it is not gaseous.

Instead, it is an aerosol mixture of multiple compounds that are referred to as tear producers

or lacrimators.

Among these compounds is Chloroacetophenone or CN which is present in Mace sprays.

Modern tear gas, on the other hand employs other ingredients but can always be traced

back to its most basic ingredient Orthochlorobenzalmalononitrite or CS, a crystalline substance that exudes

a pepper-like odour.

CS was first developed and synthesised in the 1950s and became the replacement of the

much more powerful CN – and, to this day, it is still one of the most go-to, non-lethal

riot control agents.

Though pepper spray may seem to have the same effects as tear gas, they are a little different

because its effects are more inflammatory than lacrimatory.

It is, however, more debilitating but is difficult to disperse and so it is used more commonly

as personal protection against assaults or wild animals.

Despite being a lot less lethal than bullets, tear gas are still powerful irritants that

can, upon contact with the skin, cause severe burning sensations where prolonged exposure

may cause severe rashes and chemical burns.

When the agent reaches the eyes the chemicals begin to react differently as the body begins

to send signals to the brain, activating its natural defences sending out a flood of tears

to wash out the irritant.

This is where tear gas actually got its name.

In severe cases, tear gas victims may experience temporary blindness especially when exposed

to the chemicals for a prolonged period of time.

The chemical compounds in tear gas also have irritating effects to the respiratory system.

When inhaled, the substance kicks the immune system into hyper-drive as the body begins

to produce mucous and induces the person to cough and retch in order to keep the irritants

out of the body and expel any that have entered.

In severe cases, the respiratory system becomes irritated that a person will find himself

or herself having difficulty breathing and his upper respiratory tract tensing up.

However, the damage done by tear gas is, generally, not permanent.

Hours after exposure, the body goes back to normal as the effects subside.

In rare cases where people are in constant, prolonged exposure to the chemicals – especially

those who get severe allergic reactions to certain types of chemicals and substances

– they may develop irreversible damage to the eyes such as glaucoma.

Even worse is death when the substance cause serious chemical burns inside the respiratory

system that leads to cardiac arrest; such was the case of a Palestinian woman in 2011

when she had prolonged exposure to tear gas during a protest at the West Bank.

TEMPORARY RELIEF In the news, people have been photographed

pouring milk over their eyes and faces to alleviate the stinging pain from tear gas.

It has been claimed by many that this home-made remedy has helped in getting rid of the effects

of the lacrimatory agent.

In the protest at Ferguson, demonstrators have been seen entering a local McDonald's

and having milk poured all over their faces.

Activists from Gaza and Israel, on the other hand, combat the fierce effects of tear gas

by washing their faces with cola.

Whatever the method, it would seem that there is an unspoken truth that you should not use

water to wash-off tear gas because not only does it have no effect but it may also increase

the irritation.

Several methods have been shared by people online.

In a flier published by individuals who were part of the 2011 Occupy Movement, they advised

people to use antacids dissolved in water to relieve the body of the effects of the

chemicals.

However, the US Army Center for Health Promotion and Preventive Medicine, and the New York

Department of Health and Mental Hygiene hands out much detailed advice on relieving onseself

of the effect of tear gas.

Contrary to popular opinion, these two departments advise individuals who have been affected

by tear gas to wash their eyes with clean water as soon as possible for at least fifteen

minutes in order to completely wash off harmful chemicals.

If the gas has been inhaled, individuals are advised to get out of the affected area immediately

and seek fresh air, breathing in and out, getting as much oxygen as possible.

In cases where medics are present, these professionals may administer asthma medication in order

to help the air passages especially in severe cases.

If tear gas happens to enter through the mouth and ingested, individuals should drink plenty

of water and, if they can, induce vomiting and seek immediate medical attention.

Clothes that have been doused with the chemicals should be washed separately from un-contaminated

clothing and avoid using chlorine-based detergents to prevent harmful chemical reactions that

may mix with CS compounds.

THE LEGALITY OF TEAR GAS While tear gas is considered non-lethal, there

are laws surrounding and controlling the use of the substance.

According to the Chemical Weapons Convention of 1993, tear gas is strictly banned in warfare

but, in cases where domestic riots are concerned, it is perfectly legal to employ it.

However, one expert pointed out the paradox of the legality of tear gas use.

In a statement made by Sven-Eric Jordt, a Yale University School of Medicine Nerve Gas

expert, he says that "Tear gas under the Geneva Convention is characterized as a chemical

warfare agent, and so it is precluded for use in warfare, but it is used very frequently

against civilians.

That's very illogical."

responsibly

Chicago is a city that adores its food icons you got deep-dish pizza

you gotta tell you beef you have hot dogs dragged through the garden no

of a community that needs food like that's where the improvisation can

happen you know to be black in the Mississippi Delta is a different thing

than to be black DC or Chicago right if I can sort of think about it

metaphorically for me if blackness is the chicken then mile sauce is like our

little specific approach of course your sauce sweet and burn at the same time of

course you call it mild so white folk won't know to fear until it's too late

you know corporate structure just black business model they earned the recipe

and go make it their own

thank you all for coming out enjoy partake in a dark time in Chicago coming

to an end we met back up with cliff Larry and their friends for one last

mild sauce drenched no it's my only time

if you ain't as fast

at the end of the day mouth sauce is a group of friends it's family come

together putting aside whatever issues you have just sitting it down having

chicken and mouse cells and just having a good time enjoying each other's time

and forgetting about all the troubles that you're going through it's just

happiness in Chicago

every cut of crow you grow in the grease is dark meat the whole Shack shaking

drenched in mild sauce sweet spirit baptized

What Having A Sister is Actually Like - Duration: 5:42.

Hmm what is it like to have a sister?

When you have a sister there are certain situations that make you hate her very existence

But they're pretty hilarious to look back on

For exemple, I remember when we used to get back home together from school

And we would fight over the TV remote because we both wanted to watch different things

Me: I'm so tired of school!

I can't wait to watch the new episode of Spongebob! It's starting in a while

Excuse me? I want to watch Digimon Tamers!

Two contestants, one remote, who's gonna win? you decide!

Right! these fights never ended well! Speaking of which, there were days when

There were days when she would start picking on me and the moment I start fighting back...

That's when my mom would enter the room

*Mom talking on the phone*

Mom to the person on the phone: Hold on a second

Mom to me: How dare you beat your little sister like that? I'm disowning you!

Eh yo sisters relatable right? now scroll down and give this a like

And let's go back to the video

Do you also strongly mind it when your sister keeps wearing your clothes all the time? and you wish you could stalk her...

Everywhere... and catch her red handed!

*sis chatting with her friend*

Sis: so where do you wanna go?

My sister's friend: How about we go to the movies?

Sis: alright let's go!

Sis lying to her friend about my jacket: Do you like my new jacket? my friend Nisrine got me it as a gift

This next situation is a real struggle

You know someone is your sister when you ask them to fetch you something

And they answer back: "can't you do it yourself?" Bitch if I could do it myself, I wouldn't have asked you in the first place

Sis: I saw your lock pattern!

Me: I'm gonna have to change it then!

Sis: I'm gonna go have some water

Me: I want some too please!

Sis: you can do it yourself!

But there always comes that one chance when you get to take your revenge

It's when someone's around! You ask her, she can't say no.

Sis: I'm gonna go have some water!

Me: I want some too please!

Sis: you can do it yours... Ahah okay, a cup of water, sure.

But hey no matter how much you hate your sister

She remains your baby, and your worst nightmare is when her best friend becomes a better sister than you

*chatting chatting*

Sis: Oh look!

Sis to me leaning it: I asked her to look not you!

Sis: Aya please take our picture!

Later on

Anyway that's it for this video, leave me a thumb up I would appreciate it!

And share it with your sisters if you have any you can also tell me some of your

Constant struggles with your sisters in the comments section I would love to hear them

...and read them

OK BYE!

New 6 Jurassic Park Dinosaur Toys VELOCIRAPTERYX, T-Rex, Raptor, Spinosaurus Unboxing JP 53, JP 18 - Duration: 23:18.

Wow guys keep watching as we unbox these awesome six new Jurassic Park Kenner

Hasbro dinosaur toys wow it's great to see you again today I'm going to review

these six brand new Jurassic Park toys they they are used but they're brand new

for me and they are totally awesome these are made I believe by Kenner and

Hasbro so we're gonna have a lot of fun let's go ahead and check them out okay

so in my opinion the coolest one of these six is the Velociraptor eggs you

can see says J p53 over here it's like a chaos effect super Velociraptor and it

does have sound too and action feature so if you move the leg back here you

just chomp forward and make like lots or after stuff let's listen to that a

New 6 Jurassic Park Dinosaur Toys VELOCIRAPTERYX, T-Rex, Raptor, Spinosaurus Unboxing JP 53, JP 18

so uh the one main reason I like this guy is because of the colors and just

the crazy effects I mean look at this guy he's got this big huge like wing

here sticking off of his one of his like claws here so instead of a claw it's

like this huge wing here that has a lot of claws big huge claws here they did a

really great job coloring this guy odd I really do like these vintage toys

because they took the time and did great quality work as you can see here on the

head all of these teeth they're like

individual little tiny painted red eyes it's got like a yellow red and black

color scheme he's got all these like spikes sticking off the top of his head

I mean they even did a great job painting the guy's tongue and then going

down he's got a bunch of spikes sticking off his back here the same color scheme

continues all the way down and for his third claw is huge I mean that is one

huge third claw you can see like a lot of the other velociraptors this would be

like a normal-sized third claw which this cut it's huge so must be some type

of super hunter and then it's got like a fan tail fan shape to its tail I did

have a hard time getting this guy to stand but he seems to be standing on

right now using his tail for support - I'm sure at the beginning this guy stood

a lot better but over the years he's been sitting in a box

stop so doesn't stand quite as good but like I said this guy is also really

intimidating okay so this guy's basically a super Velociraptor

Velociraptor it's a genetic mix between the Velociraptor and a Archaeopteryx the

blosser Velociraptor expose bread for mobility and ferocity a Raptors razor

claws jagged spells and flight ability of the Archaeopteryx combined to make it

one of the most dangerous and the genetically altered dinosaurs highly

intelligent and clever as stalks his prey and packs and has been known to

hunt for sport

okay and here we have on 1997 Jurassic Park 39 this site beat Spinosaurus so

this guy also does have roaring action

so basically our look at the mob though looks like way down almost like his jaw

just dropped off so this guy is like I said before JP 39 big huge sail on the

back it's got like green and grey effects on it once again really great

quality job I believe this one was made by either Kenner or as bro so if you go

ahead like I said push down let's go ahead and

take a look at this guy from top to bottom so when you look at him his face

really great paint job on each of those teeth they're not that big but they are

all individual teeth which is a really nice feature

little tiny green eye oh great like finish to this guy's whole body this

would be the action feature you press down on the arm there to get roaring

like I said the sail they did a great job on that there you can see the logos

site p JP 39 it's got a regular foot then it's got one foot that actually oh

okay so he's supposed to be in this mode here I thought for a minute there

wrong with this guy's foot bah he could stand there by his toes look really

funny so this guy's supposed to be in like a running mode similar to right

there so really nice color pattern on this guy and these plastic ones you

don't have all the screw holes that one interesting world once

so hopefully Mattel will be following along those same lines when they bring

out the toys for Jurassic world too so that would be awesome

the muddy spinosaurus his name means spine lizard he was about 15 meters 49

feet in length and weighed between 7 to 20 tons so 14,000 to 40,000 pounds he

had distinct spikes which grew over 5 feet long he had a long thin skull he

walked on two legs and their cage Oh occasionally crouched on all four he was

one of the mightiest carnivores ever okay then we have another velociraptor

this would be JT JP 18 I believe this one had like the head bobbing feature

but you know it seems to be broken because when I turn this I get a slight

sound from this guy fought his head is not it's really almost impossible to

hear so uh the guys in great condition bought I guess his action feature just

does not work because it looks to me like it would go all the way up and down

slide you can you just shake it like that but with the other velociraptors if

you squeeze their legs the head would bob up and down so i guess that's what

this guy was supposed to do but ah he does still stand up on his own it

good to stand so he does stand in an upright position like that going from

his hip you can see the teeth are like one piece pot it still looks great I

mean they did a really great job painting the eye they gave him like a

snake type lock this guy is like tan gray cream color throughout then you can

see he's got like long arms with like smaller claws on them painted black and

then going all the way down and this guy they definitely did not forget the third

claw like they did on the first Jurassic world velociraptors so that was like a

huge mistake because it is not a velociraptor without a third claws

definitely that third claw to get it to be a Velociraptor there you can see

holes in its stomach that is I believe sound so it's sort of a shame that the

action features broken on this guy bought he is in great condition there

you could see his logo is JP 18 okay awesome

the mighty Velociraptor its name means Swift Caesar or Swift lizard they grew

up to 2 meters 6.6 feet in length half a meter 1.6 feet in height at the hip and

weighed around 15 kilograms about 33 pounds so the Velociraptor was a lot

smaller than this showed like in the Jurassic world dinosaurs bought dinosaur

movies but he did have like the third claw which would be like his killing

claw so they did hunt in packs so they were very mighty hunters

okay the next I have another velociraptor which with the funny action

features take a check this guy out if you push his legs he opens his arms

they're like give me a hug give me a hug give me a hug and then I'll bite your

head off I would definitely not be giving this guy a hug I would tell you

that for sure so here we go JP 10 this guy was made in 1993 go ahead

and take a closer look at him so they did a good job with the eyes but you

know it's I don't know this guy almost seems to be a little cheaper he must

have been a cheaper action figure there you can see he's got like individual

teeth and did a good job painting his tongue

they gave him longer arms with three claws

he's like an orange like a light orange dark orange with black color accidents

throughout this guy there you can bet the JP ten there you got the third claw

or the ripping claw and here is a look at the other side of him and the

underside you can see here is where you get where the battery is but he doesn't

seem to be making a sound so I think the songs on this guy

the mighty Velociraptor its name means swift Caesar or Swift lizard they grew

up to 2 meters 6.6 feet in length half a meter 1.6 feet in height at the hip and

waved around 15 kilograms about 33 pounds so the Velociraptor was a lot

smaller than they showed like in the Jurassic world dinosaurs bought dinosaur

movies but he did have like the third claw which would be like his killing

claw okay then here we have on 1997 Chashma soros so this guy it almost

looks like him he's a mix of like a triceratops in the Styracosaurus he's

got like the three Triceratops horns but then he's got the big play yukia

on the snark asaurus ah this guy just does say sight beat sight be JP so uh

let's take a look at this guy from the top to bottom this guy's almost like an

olive like a darker gray color with like cream color accents throughout great

painting job you can see there even the tiny little I did a really good painting

job he's got like awful mouth here that seems to connect and he does have a

sound effect let's go ahead and listen to this guy sound effects so not too

loud

so either this guy AIA meet his meets his battery replaced or he was not that

long the beginning so you could see a great color job there they did a great

job painting the nails on this guy too there is the logo on this side there

here is a good look at the guy from the front and the other side and then here's

a good look at him from the bottom so here is where you would go ahead and put

in the batteries I have not checked the batteries so I'm figuring is some type

of a watch type of battery

the mighty Chashma Sora's his name means reptile from the ravine he was about 19

feet long or 6 meters he weighed about 5500 pounds or twenty-seven hundred

kilograms he was an herbivore living on plants and he lived during the Late

Cretaceous period in North America Texas and Alberta ok and then we had the young

t-rex which was made by Kenner in 1993 you see this guy

JP oh six this guy has a grievous wound on the side when I bought it I did not

get the wound piece so that's a little disappointing but uh with the wound

piece this guy was all a lot more expensive this is sort of a medium sized

action figure you can see they're a little bit taller than my hand but he is

all rubber I mean everywhere this guy is rubber so I mean I like that feature and

I'm hoping that Mattel from what I've seen they are making a lot of the more

rubber ones now for the drastic world the lost kingdom movies so that but

anyways this guy's mouth does open way up

great job with the teeth I I really liked the rubber effects because it's

great for playability makes it look a lot more healthful Zdenek and it's just

a lot more fun you can see they did a great job painting the eyes Kenner was

fabulous with these toys I mean they did a really great job there you can see the

womb even after all these years and all the years this guy has been played with

I mean you could still clearly see there and I mean it still looks great after so

many years here you've got the logo jpo five that did a great job painting the

claws but they used like great color instead of a black so I mean I guess

they were trying to stick with the same color scheme but usually they would just

use black on the nails here you can see he's got stripes moving all the way up

his back here is a good look at him on the other side his arms do move 360 his

legs do not because like I said this is all rubber pieces not connected anywhere

and I believe this is what his wound would look like with the piece if you

could if I had it for the other side and here's a good look at the guy from the

ball so really great dinosaur

the mighty t-rex his name means tyrant lizard he was one of the biggest

carnivores that would mean meat-eater his the largest tooth ever found is 12

inches long he could sprint up to 20 miles per hour he he was about 12 meters

long about 40 feet and he weighed seven tonnes or 14,000 pounds Wow this guy

must have been really intimidating looking

this fan of smoke and grass funny tells about his life. I want to remind you that about Russian zaknonam he most likely will go to jail for five years for the grass

I study the kind of agronomy called grassology and smoke extraction

I studied this at the State University of Agricultural Academy blah blah blah Goryachkin

on the subject of smokeography I always had an excellent score

smokeography? this is your subject in high school?

did you take exams on this subject? No, I did not pass such an exam))

and on what faculty is this studied?

Economy of agricultural and agro-industrial complex

What do people with tokens and shoulder straps do in your house today?

I do not know, came to visit and say: let's complete the agro-industrial complex. And I say, you are late I have already put the agro-industrial complex the most successfully and

do you like my complex? is he good the truth?

and what do you have for the plants in the bags?

in what bags? there is nothing there

forgive not in bags but in buckets. And this is the root system

this plant is called canna kanna ... canvaaaaa. merry grass

this topic is very ineterfic especially the elephants kissing me in the crimson clouds

and why do you grow it?

so that she warmed her throat and dredged system, quit smoking tobacco

because she smokes to hide from the micro drafts, the source of which is a black disk in the January sky from which the pink clouds descend and the universal balance that turns into the joy of a pink elephant on which the earth stands and fresh air is rich in carbon and hydrogen

and you add these plants to your tea?

Yes, I love tea with St. John's Wort, and I also love Soviet Soyuz-Apollo cigarettes

Journal of "Science and Life" the end of 80s

I try to warm up my throat, to ventilate the room, round the clock

I work so hard, sometimes I get so tired that I start to hear how the plants talk, the cells of my body talk among themselves, it's nice.

I integrate into nature and feel myself a favorite of God and the universe

Are you a botanist? yes

Yes, I'm interested in studying love for plants in unconventional forms

this is not your first harvest? did you grow it before?

it's not a harvest, it's the fruits of my work, my scientific experience over 25 years of work

I have a box .... and in the garden I spend botanical experiments

I am proud of my plants, we can go to my garden, I will show my achievements in the field of agro industrial complex

it's seeds and calcium for insect pest control

I studied different varieties, I have many seeds

namely "the merry grass" Yes

I probed different grades, conducted experiments

how long does it grow? very long, 25 years

for good condition you need a lot of work

and when it will grow what needs to be done?

then you need to do this ... show the show! hey, nothing should be torn off

do not let one leaf tear off Well, here I am doing

avapalvaurovozovorpv

when my wisdom tooth is cut, this is a good tool for teeth to grow faster

I stretch my mouth and my teeth grow faster

and what do you do later? Do you sell?

Yes, I chew and I feel good, I calm down

yes, this is a good plant

often chew? no, one leaf ate and calmed down

Here there are magical properties with the addition of oxygen under the leaves

DIY Succulent Topiary Christmas Tree - Duration: 8:28.

Hi, I'm Debra Lee Baldwin

In my garden

About to make a

topiary Christmas tree

This is the form

And that goes in

just like that

The whole composition

is going to be done

somewhat in a spiral

Around the base of

the tree I'm going to

use this dwarf jade,

a skirt or a fringe with

jade, and that's where

you're going to need

most of your cuttings

because as you go up

You have less space

to cover, so jade is a

good one for that

reason, too, and it's

easy to come by

and not very expensive

It has just a little bit

of red on the tips

and that inspired

the use of this

beautiful Sedum rubrotinctum

with a pinkish magenta cast

to it, and bean shaped leaves

which are going to just sort

of suggest Christmas

ornaments.

Senecio haworthii

it's white, it has kind of a

silvery tone to it

Coppertone stonecrop

which will give a sparkle

to it almost like a little

star

And the finishing touch

string of pearls

used as a garland

U-shaped floral pins

Moisten the form

This is quite wet

If I squeezed it

water would drip out

of it

As you built your topiary

you want to go graded

sizes of plants and cuttings

so that it tapers to the top

otherwise you're going to

get a cylinder instead of

a cone

These are Joyce Chen

kitchen scissors

If you want to go to

my website to the

garden tools page

you'll find things like this

that may not have

occurred to you

that would be helpful

to you in your own

garden, that I recommend

So a spiral

That means that one is

offset to the right of

the one next to it

to the right and above

If you don't want to

forget where you've

made your hole while

you're harvesting a

cutting, you can just

stick your chopstick

in there

See those little nubbins

where leaves were

attached?

That's

meristem tissue

and that's where

new roots will form

Plant thickly enough

that the moss doesn't

show, but the plants

may shrink a bit

while they're drawing

on their reserves

before they get roots

formed

And when I put these

in, if I can feel that

they're not well

anchored, I add a pin

But you can see that

the lower level of

crassula is supporting

them pretty well

The floral pins do

rust over time and they

can make a topiary

treacherous if you're

dismantling it at a

later date.

We still have a lot to fill!

I have some little

clusters of bean over

here and some larger

ones here, and because

I'm starting at the bottom

I'm going to go with

the larger

These do need sun

to stay red

You look at these

plants in the garden

and you notice that

they get these long

stems that aren't

particularly attractive

But if you look closely

at them, you'll know

why, they have roots

coming off them where

leaves were attached,

they're trying to

reproduce and spread

So for all of its many

merits, Sedum rubrotinctum

has the drawback that

its leaves pop off very

easily.

And when a

succulent does that,

it's trying to tell you

that those leaves will

root.

Why would it

want to lose its leaves

otherwise?

When you shove in a

floral pin, try not to

break off leaves.

Even if it doesn't

have a stem,

I've seen these topiary

trees made out of

rosette succulents

that are just secured

with floral pins, and

from the base of the

rosette, new roots will

form.

OK, time to start

going smaller in size

with our bean clusters

because we're getting

toward the top, and we

want to make sure

that we have that tapered

cone

Handle the leaves of a

succulent as little as

possible, they're prone

to bruising

Succulents keep their

leaves for a long time

Unlike plants with

fine leaves

Try not to let the metal

of your pins show

Now when you water a

topiary, you want to

remember to water

from the top because

water percolates

downward

Hydrate that moss

that's going to dry

out, which is at the

very top.

That's true

of wreaths as well.

A wreath is basically

a topiary.

This will

last through the

holidays, and the

plants will root

right into the moss

Keep the moss

hydrated so that

any roots that do

form don't dry out

If that should happen

it's not the end

of the world because

the plants will draw on

moisture in their leaves

This should be given

bright light, enough

light to keep the color

in the leaves, but not

so much that the sun

is hot and desiccating

Near a sunny window

is probably perfect

The shape of this

a nice contrast to

the other plants

Even in partial shade

It'll keep the orange

on the leaf margins

The easy way to

strip leaves off of a

succulent is to simply

push downward on them

They snap right off

I'm trying to make these

openings about an inch

deep

If you want to make a

cutting smaller because

you're getting toward

the top of your topiary

You can just strip off

more leaves because

the new growth at the

tip of the rosette is

going to be smaller

So presto, instant

small cutting.

Still kind of big.

Oh well.

When you push in

your floral pins,

and they're straddling

a leaf, you don't

want to push the

pin in all the way

and break the leaf off

I'm leaving this

unplanted until the

last because I need

something to grasp

when I'm pushing

against the form

So what should we

put at the very top?

I'm thinking just a

suggestion of a star

And the last one!

A garland of string

of pearls that look

like Christmas balls

You don't want to

add so many that

light can't get to

the plants underneath

or air circulation

I do think more is more.

I like the pointed tips

of the leaves of the

Senecio rowleyanus

or string of pearls

because they sort of

suggest Christmas

lights.

They also suggest

Christmas balls.

Preserving Mental Health in Today's Political Climate - Duration: 12:07.

Now I've talked a couple of times before about my experiences with anxiety,

And I always want to acknowledge that different people experience mental health issues in

different ways and to different degrees.

But for me, a big part of managing my anxiety is identifying what sets me off is and doing

my best to avoid those triggers.

Like for example, I'm prone to experience high anxiety levels if I've been drinking

too much, so I've had to make a conscious effort to limit my alcohol consumption.

It would probably be better if I just stopped drinking altogether, but I'm not there yet.

Another thing that I try my best to do is avoid high stress situations if at all possible.

I've gotten really good at walking away from unnecessary confrontations, and removing

myself from toxic environments.

In most cases at least.

I'm still on Twitter all the time which is about as toxic an environment there is.

But what if that stressful situation is hard, if not impossible, to escape?

What if it's literally everywhere?

For many people in today's world, simply reading social media or watching the news

is a source of deep anxiety and stress.

Even if you don't keep up with current events, it's pretty much impossible to avoid all

the depressing stories about mass shootings and sexual misconduct,

and whether or not the President's next tweet will be the catalyst for World War 3.

And this kind of thing can be devastating for people who struggle with mental health

issues.

But we still have to find a way to, like, live.

So what can we do about that?

Hi, I'm T1J.

[Follow Me!]

So as always, I want to stress that I am not a doctor, a therapist, nor a mental health

professional of any kind.

And if you have access to a professional, I think consulting them about your mental

health issues should be considered far superior to anything that I have to say in this video.

Which is why I want to give a shoutout to BetterHelp for sponsoring this video.

BetterHelp is an online counseling service that matches you with a licensed professional

counselor or therapist, who is chosen based on your specific needs.

And I've checked it out myself, it's personalized, its confidential.

And it's affordable.

People often talk about how their biggest roadblock to getting professional help is

the cost, like sometimes you're paying hundreds of dollars for a single session.

And that's not even counting the gas money.

So the best thing about BetterHelp to me is how it gives people access to real professional

counseling at a much lower cost than typical in-office therapy.

So if you're looking for affordable therapy from actual professionals, click the link

in the description to sign up.

And thanks again to BetterHelp for sponsoring this video.

All that said, I'd like to start a dialogue about how people who struggle with mental

health can navigate these really difficult political and social situations.

Or even personal trials.

I've done a little bit of research and asked a few people for their thoughts, and have

come up with a few ideas.

So it seems that the first thing we have to do, is accept that the world sucks sometimes.

And this might sound weird, because I think people often equate acceptance with endorsement

or agreement.

But what I mean is just acknowledging reality.

Like a lot of people say "Trump is Not My President."

You know, people call him "45," unwilling to associate his name with the office of the

presidency.

And I get it, trust me, but I don't think living in denial of what's actually happening

does you any favors.

It's essentially the equivalent of covering your eyes and hoping it goes away.

But it's not gonna magically go away, because that's reality.

And once you accept what's going on, then you can start to take steps towards figuring

out what you're gonna do about it.

It's also important to understand that having negative feelings about negative situations

is actually normal.

Like for me at least, sometimes something bad happens, and I start feeling sad and apprehensive,

and then I think, 'oh well there's my anxiety flaring up again!"

But to some extent it's a natural response to stress and trauma.

Now obviously for many people, including myself, this depression and/or anxiety can reach extreme

obsessive levels, and at that point we have to identify whether or not we can harness

at least a little bit of that emotional energy towards something productive, which can sometimes

have the effect of tempering that excess anxiety.

Like, personally I am extremely anxious about my health and well being.

I don't know if I'm an outright hypochondriac, I've never been diagnosed.

But you know the common joke about how you have like a mild cough, but you've convinced

yourself that you're dying of lung cancer.

Like that's actually how my brain is sometimes for real, no exaggeration, not a joke.

But some level of concern about your health is normal and even beneficial.

So instead of just pacing around and worrying, I try to utilize that normal portion of anxiety

towards doing something productive.

Like exercising or eating healthy.

And the knowledge that I'm taking these steps sometimes helps calm me down.

So in the framework of, say, political things going on that stress you out, maybe figure

out a way to harness some of that mental energy toward donating to or volunteering for a candidate

or cause you support, rather just sitting around in an anxious spiral.

And I'm not saying that this is like instantly going to make you feel better, but I do think

that channeling some your mental energy towards something productive can help reduce stress

and make you feel a little more in control.

When we're talking about big national or international issues, it's really easy to

feel powerless.

And a thing that we all have to do is learn to accept the things we can't control.

And remember acceptance doesn't necessarily mean you condone it.

But the thing is, there are things we can control, and that usually includes ourselves

and our active choices.

I'm not in favor of trying to suppress emotions.

I don't think telling people or yourself to 'just get over it' is very helpful.

And to be honest this is part of acknowledging reality, like I was talking about before.

The reality is, some people deal with extreme anxiety and depression and other mental health

issues.

And trying to muzzle these involuntary emotions, at least without drugs, is usually very hard

to do.

So I think it's more efficient to acknowledge them.

But just because you acknowledge something doesn't mean you have to focus on it.

Like while I was working on the script for this video, I was super hungry, like my stomach

was growling, it was pretty uncomfortable.

But I was like in a groove, and I didn't want to break the flow.

So I acknowledged the hunger for the time being.

I didn't try to suppress it or make it go away.

But I didn't focus on it, I focused on the script I was writing.

Now I'm not saying the feeling of hunger is the same as mental illness, but I just

wanted to illustrate how it's possible to acknowledge a feeling while not focusing on

it.

And you best believe I made some chicken stir fry as soon as I was done.

Consciously choosing what we focus on, essentially, mindfulness is not something that comes naturally

to everyone, but just like anything it's something you can get better at if you practice.

And I don't want to be one of those "look on the bright side" people, but acknowledging

reality also requires that you recognize all the good things going on in your life and

in the world.

Because those are real too.

And you can choose where to place your focus.

But we can't attack or judge ourselves for feeling how we feel.

And we certainly shouldn't do that to others either.

If we could choose not to have these emotions I'm sure we would.

I've been lucky enough to reach adulthood with what I think is a healthy amount of self-esteem.

But I read an article recently, that I'll link below, which argues that the pursuit

of self esteem can be dangerous, because it can cause us to set unrealistic expectations

for ourselves.

Not only that, but it encourages us too often to compare ourselves to other people.

So we think something like, "oh that person seems happy all of the time, why can't I

be like that?

If I could figure that out, then I'd be really satisfied."

But we've all got different paths and different problems.

And we all have successes and failures.

And as long as our self-esteem relies on being successful and above average and worry free.

It's never gonna be a sustainable pursuit.

So instead of self-esteem, it's better to work towards self-compassion.

And self-compassion is basically treating yourself the way you would treat your best

friend or your child.

Like would you tell your best friend just suck it up and get over it.

Pretend it doesn't exist.

Or would you acknowledge their issues and support them and tell them it's gonna be

okay and try to figure out what they need.

I hope that you picked the second thing.

I hope you're not out here terrorizing your friends.

Basically be kind to yourself, the problem with anxiety and other mental

health issues is that your mind gets into a cycle of producing a negative feeling and

then making you feel bad about that negative feeling which makes you feel even worse,

and so on.

So you have to find a way to sort of jump in the middle of the spinning double dutch.

Do kids even still double dutch?

"You kids and your Nintendo SmartWatches!

Back in my day we actually had to go outside and play!"

You have to step in and tell yourself, Yes I feel this way.

Yes it sucks.

But it's okay for me to feel this way.

I don't have to suppress it, but I also don't have to let it consume me.

DAS JUS ME DOE.

What do you think?

Thank you for watching my video.

Like I said, these are just ideas and while some people are able to develop functional

strategies for dealing with mental health at home, other people need professional guidance,

or medication; and if that's you please don't hesitant to reach out to a doctor or therapist.

Let's check the voicemail.

Okay, so the 14th Amendment

is more about defining and limiting the power of federal and local governments with regard

to citizenship, due process, and equal protection, among other things.

It's not directly in reference to the rights of individual businesses.

It does however state that laws should apply to everyone equally, so for example, if you

make a law saying that businesses that are open to the public can't discriminate against

people, as we have in the United States.

Then that law applies in all relevant cases.

But that law does have to exist first.

If there is no law specifically protecting gay people from discrimination, then a business

could make an honestly convincing claim that they don't have to follow a law that doesn't

exist, even if it is the non-douchey thing to do.

However, businesses usually have to have a compelling reason to deny service to people.

Like if a cake shop owner said, I'm not serving you because you have a stupid haircut.

There's no specific law that protects people on the basis of haircut, but it's unlikely

that a court would find that to be a legitimate reason to refuse service to a customer.

As far as the Wonder Woman thing goes, I got a lot of comments saying that 'it wasn't

"really" a women-only screening.

It was just sort of like a fun suggestion!'

And I don't want to get too deep into this, because I'm pretty certain that people wouldn't

be this charitable if was something they disagreed with.

As it turns out a man did attend the screening and nothing happened, he wasn't stopped

or turned away, probably because it would be illegal.

But this event was advertised as a women only event that men were not welcome to come to.

The announcement on the website literally said "No Guys Allowed."

I guess yall can claim that you knew off the top that they weren't going to enforce that,

but I wouldn't believe you.

But thanks for calling.

If you wanna send me a question or a comment, call the number on your screen and leave me

a voicemail.

ALERT: Dems Caught In Sick 'Russia' Move, They Must Be Stopped - Duration: 3:15.

The Democrats are trying to do everything in their power to discredit President Trump

and anyone who associates with him.

In the process, they have only managed to discredit themselves.

One of the biggest talking points on the Left is how President Trump colluded with Russia

to steal the 2016 election.

This information stemmed from a dossier that was leaked to the public.

The Democrats are still using this Trump-Russia dossier to prove their point of collusion,

even though the dossier has been proven to be all but rumors and gossip, according to

The Washington Times.

The 35-page document has been at the center of the conversation for 11 months now.

Democrats are using the document to try and prove Russian collusion, rumors about Wikileaks,

and even information about a Russian oil company.

A close look at the document shows that the details provided to the American public through

this dossier are debatable at best.

All the while, Democrats are still claiming that this dossier is going to be the end of

President Trump.

House Republicans point out that the Democrats may have violated numerous campaign finance

laws when they initially started funneling money from the DNC and Hillary Clinton's

Clinton Foundation to pay for what they are calling "opposition research."

The DNC and The Clinton Foundation funneled their money through a law firm to another

firm called Fusion GPS, which deals in "opposition research," as they call it.

The money left Fusion GPS and went to former British spy Christopher Steele, who originally

wrote the dossier.

Steele allegedly handed the money out to various sources to glean information on President

Trump.

Most, if not all of the claims in the dossier, are still unverified, yet the Democrats are

speaking about it as if it is a proven fact.

People like Rep. Adam B Schiff (D-CA), claim that the probe to uncover the money source

that Steele used was nothing more than a Republican ploy to divert the topic.

He was quickly forced to eat his words.

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA), chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence,

subpoenaed bank records regarding the money used for the dossier.

This bold move efficiently forced the Democrats to admit that they had worked to fund the

dossier.

The rot in the government hit the center when the Intelligence community made a brief for

then-President Obama that stated that Russia inferred with the 2016 election and got President

Trump elected.

Obama, per usual, ran with the story as if it was fact and not rumor or gossip.

Special Counsel Robert Mueller has been active since July.

Their goal is to find out if there was collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia.

Until this point, they have not discovered one shred of evidence directly connecting

President Trump to Russia.

It is obvious that Democrats are not going to give up on this story and they are going

to ride it to the very end.

Instead of focusing on gossip, perhaps they should consider taking the time to work and

help the American people.

The Living City Artist Spotlight - Lisa Vanin - Biodiversity - Duration: 2:59.

( relaxing music)

- Hi, I'm Lisa Vanin.

I am an artist and illustrator here in Toronto.

I am working on the biodiversity section of the report card.

What I have decided that I would like to really communicate

to the viewers and of this piece,

is just the extreme and vast variety

of animal and plant life that actually exist

in and around the city.

People don't necessarily know that there is

that much life here within the city and just around it.

And that's so important to represent in this piece,

because I'm just trying to show

how overwhelming and how like amazing

the selection of life here in the city is.

Speaking with my experts and going and being exposed

to all these different people,

in the biodiversity department, like at the ROM.

And just, actually becoming aware of

how much more life is here than I had really thought.

I got different habitats that I'm trying to showcase

with different areas of the piece,

so I've got an area here where's there's a waterfront scene.

I also have an area that's another waterfront scene,

but it also goes into a more forested area.

I'm trying to do a nice section of birds

that migrate through Toronto yearly.

I'm trying to make it an interesting experience

where when you first see the piece,

as a whole from the front,

you're already going to be overwhelmed

with the amount of creatures and whatnot,

but as you actually explore the piece a little bit more,

you can actually see behind some of the pieces

and there will actually be more.

This is not just a man-made landscape

that we inhabit and that everything else should just leave,

because this is where we live.

You know, the idea is that we all live here together

and there's a lot of ways that we can co-exist,

that we're just not practicing.

So, if people can start to become interested,

then I see a positive future, because that's when people

start to care and then they start to feel

like they can do something about it.

Powerful Home Remedy for High Blood Pressure That Work Like a Charm💯☑️ - Duration: 2:37.

Powerful Home Remedy for High Blood Pressure That Work Like a Charm

High blood pressure is an extremely common ailment that affects both men and women equally.

The biggest theory on the main cause of high blood pressure is too much salt in the diet.

Because there hasn't been enough solid evidence to actually prove it.

Calcium is the best natural remedy for controlling high blood pressure.

There are various theories as to why and how calcium actually lowers high blood pressure.

The main theory is that calcium prevents the body's pH level from falling into an acidic

state.

In today's video, I'm going to share with you,

2 home remedy for high blood pressure that really works great.

Number 1: Olive Leaf Extract

The olive fruit is an integral part of the classic Mediterranean diet.

And it's a well-known fact that people who follow this diet enjoy low rates of high blood

pressure, high cholesterol, and of course, heart disease.

The daily consumption of this fruit is one of the main reasons for this phenomena.

Olives contain a powerful substance called oleuropein,

and this is what's largely responsible for the beneficial effect and lowering of blood

pressure and triglyceride levels in humans.

But the highest concentrations of oleuropein are actually found in the leaves,

which is why the extract of olive leaf works so well for high blood pressure.

Number 2: Baking Soda

Baking soda is actually one of the quickest and easiest ways to naturally reduce and control

hypertension.

Simply mix up an 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda in a full glass of filtered water

along with 1-2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and drink this concoction twice daily

on an empty stomach.

The baking soda is taken on a two week on, two week off cycle.

Its means, take it for 2 weeks then rest for 2 weeks then back on again for 2 weeks, and

so on.

While the apple cider vinegar is taken non stop without a break.

By taking the baking soda this way, and combining it with the apple cider vinegar

You'll lower your blood pressure quickly without suffering any adverse effects.

We're HOMESCHOOLING! | Why I Pulled my Older Kids Out of Public School - Duration: 8:30.

So, we are making some big changes around here.

The boys are officially homeschooled.

I decided to homeschool the boys for several reasons and yesterday was their very last

day of public school.

(Intro Music)

We are heading to Medford right now because we're going car shopping!

We have to get a second car, especially because I'm going to be homeschooling the boys.

The boys still want to do their instruments.

Blaine does trumpet and Merrick does violin and they're allowed to keep doing that at

their schools which means that they have to be at school everyday for their band classes.

And Merrick is going to start taking acting classes starting in January and the acting

classes are all the way in Ashland every Friday, so we need a car.

We're looking for an SUV and that is what we're going to find right now.

(Music)

Alright, we're gonna test drive this soccer mom van.

What do you think about it?

Ya ya ya ya.

Yea?

Raya likes the van.

Oh, she kicked her shoe off she liked it so much.

Now the reason we're looking at mini vans right now is because our price range is really low.

Like, we just HAVE to have a second car so we don't have a lot of time to save up money

so we don't have a lot of money to spend and our options are limited.

Literally, there's like, just a few cars that we can look at in our price range, so..

We're driving! *gasp*

Yeaaa.

Raya does this thing now where she gasps.

Shes like, "Gasp!*

Where we going?

*gasping and laughing*

I think we're gonna go back and get the first vehicle we looked at because

the van that we just test drove had a weird rattle to it and the lights, when it would

sit in idle, they would kinda flicker and there was just some weird things that we didn't

like about it, so we're gonna go with the SUV.

Plus the SUV was cheaper anyway.

Alright, here it is.

I am driving my new car home.

That feels so weird to say.

It's so weird that we just woke up this morning and went out and bought a vehicle!

Look how beautiful!

The fog and the mountains, I love it.

Here's our new vehicle Mer-bijer.

What do you think of it?

(Blaine: I think it's pretty cool.)

Look,

There's a picnic table in this car.

What?

There's a picnic table in this car.

There?

Nope.

Ta-da!

There is it.

See the legs on it?

Take it out.

(Blaine: Did you get that for free?)

It came with the car.

And this car is an automatic, which is not the best thing in my opinion but it's ok.

It'll take some getting use to.

And it's all wheel drive so we can take it on back roads and, yea it's a honda, and we

can go on some of the tiny roads that we could not take the Fiesta on.

So, we can get to some of the trails that we've always wanted to go hiking on but never

could before.

And the heat and air works in it pretty well.

It was toasty on the way back home.

Here it is.

Kinda boxy.

We were just skyping with my mom and Raya was so cute, she was touching the screen.

She was really confused how we were talking to a screen, I guess.

Is that Nonna?

Na na na na.

"She's saying "na na na na" and pushing, pointing.

I'm about to take Blaine to a friend's house so I'm thinking I'm gonna take Keira with

us because Keira never gets to ride in the car and now that we have that car we can take

her.

Alright Keira, go on.

Keira come here.

Uh!

She doesn't understand.

*Laughing*

What a wussy dog!

What, we gotta get you a ramp? Come on!

I think you'll have to pick her up and toss her in.

Oh, come here.

Oh my gosh, that is so funny.

We're all in the car together for the first time!

Raya's wanting Keira.

Keira!

What's happening?

Raya wants to pet Keira so bad.

Hey boys, how much room do you have back there with the car seat?

A lot more room.

You have a lot more room?

A lot more room than last time.

And this is open so we can actually put stuff right here.

Oh yea, you've got a lot more foot space?

It feels so weird with us all being in the car at the same time, doesn't it boys?

Like, with Keira in the car too.

We can go places now and take Keira with us without having to board her.

So it will actually be cheaper for us to take trips now.

We're taking Blaine to drop him off at a friend's house.

He's gonna stay the night there and his friend has a cool view of Grants Pass, so we're heading

up a hill.

I'll show you the view when we get to the top.

We're putting the new car to the test.

We're going up these hills.

Alright, here is the view.

It's Grants Pass.

It looks a lot cooler at night 'cause you can see all the lights.

Come on Merrick, let's go.

Well, we are at home now.

I wanted to tell you a few reasons that we've decided to do homeschooling.

The biggest reason is our lifestyle because we do not eat animals and public school kind

of pushes animal products onto the kids.

Like, Blaine had a science class where they did an experiment and the kids had to eat

gummies but the gummies had gelatin so he couldn't participate.

So he just had to sit there for an hour not doing the science experiment with the other kids,

And Merrick had a nutrition class that he did not like at all, he came home complaining

about it and we started thinking about homeschooling after that.

But then I was pushed over the edge last week when Merrick received a writing assignment

that was "Imagine you are a turkey the day before Thanksgiving".

So like, how morbid can you get?

Seriously.

Even if you're not a vegetarian or vegan, like how can you write that story without

it being about death or trying to avoid death or killing or death in some way because you're

a turkey before Thanksgiving, so I found it extremely morbid and I told Merrick he did

not have to write that, do that assignment because it was completely against our morals.

Merrick's a really good kid, he can't just not do a writing assignment so he attempted

to write the story.

It was about a turkey who's friends and family were all being shot and killed and the turkey

was hiding and trying to fight his tears and it was just a really really sad and depressing

story.

So he didn't finish writing it and I talked to his teacher and she excused him from the

writing assignment, but after that happened I was just like, you know what? Let go for it.

Lets just jump into it and do this whole homeschool thing because I think it could be beneficial

in a lot of ways.

Not just our lifestyle, but education and learning in general.

Blaine's a really slow learner and he's failing all of his classes and he's been failing all

of his classes for years and he's not learning anything because he's always falling behind

He only gets moved up because of his age and they don't want to hold him back anymore.

If it doesn't work out, like we'll try it for the rest if the year or something and

if it doesn't work out I told them that they can go back to public school.

This was also their choice, not just mine so we're all trying it out to see how it goes,.

And, wish us luck!

Also if you have any advice for us about new homeschoolers starting out, because I know

some of you homeschool also and I am open to advice 'cause I really don't know what

I'm doing at all.

I grew up in public school, my kids have grown up in public schools, I mean up until this

point and I have never saw myself..

I've never even considered homeschooling at all, so this is completely new to me.

Anyway, I am gonna go ahead and end this video.

Thank you for watching.

See ya.
