The Lena is our main river. All cargo travels via the Lena.

It's our lifeline, our main road in Yakutia.

In some places it's best to drive faster through a difficult spot.

In others, especially if you are leaning,

it's best to crawl slowly to get out of it.

Our roads are very tough. You need very good 6x6 trucks.

These have excellent off-road capability.

They go anywhere, winter or summer.

Damn thing wouldn't budge.

Sometimes large stones get stuck in the wheels.

This time we were able to smash it with a sledgehammer. That's lucky.

Sometimes, if the stone is really big,

you have to take off the wheel and the tyre.

Stones... What can you do? It's a dirt road. It's full of stones.

Once we were on the road leading to Olekminsk.

It had been raining. It was summer, so it was warm.

We were driving after the rain and the climb was quite steep.

It was clay, so after the rain, we couldn't go up.

Two days we lived in the quarry, until the road dried up.

Only when the rain stopped and the wind dried it up were we able to carry on.

Yes, some people have accidents and crash into each other.

It's because they don't observe the rules of the road.

It's hard. There are no repair shops out there.

You can only rely on yourself and on your colleagues and friends.

A driver's job is a difficult one. It is very hard work.

Look at the cargo we haul. 42 tons loaded on and off I go.

It does get seriously cold here in winter.

It can get as low as -40, -45. A few times I've experienced -50, even -55.

It was my dream to be a truck driver.

I came to Yakutia 20 years ago.

I came to visit, but I stayed here for good. The beautiful nature lured me in.

So I stayed. I have my family, everything here.

I like it here.

to do with that congressman Matt Gaetz a Republican from Florida congressman you

can't tease us and give us nothing here tonight okay if there's something going

on my ears have been filled up with all sorts of whispers all day today about

something involving a special designation for the Hillary Clinton

email investigation over at the FBI and that is raising questions what can you

tell us tonight and if you say you can't talk about it we're gonna have to go

talk about David Cassidy again for another segment yeah well we absolutely

can talk about it Laura I am immediately calling for an investigation into the

special treatment that the FBI gave Hillary Clinton and particularly in this

email scandal in late October right before the election emails were sent by

now the Deputy Director of the FBI Andrew McCabe where McCabe said that the

Hillary investigation would be given special status that it would not go

through the normal investigative procedures that would typically append

to this type of an investigation he told others at the FBI that there

would be a small team at headquarters that would make the decisions and

conduct the investigation walling off others who might have discovered

information or brought additional facts to light link this to the information we

have about James Comey drafting the exoneration statement of Hillary Clinton

before she was even interviewed before other key witnesses were interviewed so

now we have absolute proof of what you've been saying for a long time Laura

and that's that Hillary Clinton was treated differently than any other

American would be treated and as a member of the Judiciary Committee I want

answers from the FBI about how we can stop this type of special treatment for

politicians in the future now we've been talking about the special treatment that

politicians get when it comes to issues of harassment

other types of discrimination with that shush fun slush fund on Capitol Hill

seventeen million dollars paid out to victims all confidential

that's just absolute outrage but in this case we're talking about the former

Secretary of State she's running for president as a white-hot spotlight on

her and on this question of her emails though not ones that were destroyed the

intent to set up that private server when something is designated as special

investigation one could hear that and say there's gonna be more scrutiny

placed on the subject but you're saying when it's special it means skirting

normal channels is that is that what you can confirm to us tonight well Laura we

have to look at all the evidence in context here you have Mr McCabe telling

others at the FBI that this won't be handled like other investigations that

it'll be a small team at headquarters the reason that's so troubling is that

we've learned as a consequence of testimony before the Senate that James

Comey leading that investigation it drafted the exoneration statement

essentially rendered the verdict on the Hillary Clinton email scandal before

even conducting the investigation now we've got these McCabe emails that show

that others were not allowed to participate that they were expressly

excluded even more damning context is the fact that these emails also reveal

that McCabe was dealing with his own scandal because he was involved with his

wife's political campaign funded by the Clintons and their allies and that's not

the type of FBI we need we need the type of checks and balances at the FBI where

people get equal treatment under the law we don't have that in a circumstance

where you've got special treatment for someone like Hillary Clinton and then

you've got an exoneration statement before you even have the investigation

concluded I think we're gonna be learning a lot more about Andrew McCabe

in the coming weeks and you can't you can't mix politics in the FBI you're not

supposed to and so his wife is running for Virginia Senate a lot of questions

remaining about him and call me together and we appreciate it Happy Thanksgiving

congressman and you can give us more information next week we want all

the information next week so and all the document requests we went all all the

memos to the file that Jim called me did in the back of a sedan we want all those

boost your graphic design career totally for free online the first free portfolio

platform that I'm going to show you it's Behance now many of you are know about

the hands but I'm going to show you how I personally feel is the best way to

utilize it as a graphic designer when you click onto the hands you'll be

met with many many thumbnails or what I feel is absolutely amazing work

I could spend simply hours looking over the work on this website but I don't

have that kind of time to spare you can of course use a search option to search

out specific work now I do have an account on here but I've neglected it

quite a lot and haven't updated it in years mainly due to the fact that I have

my own portfolio website now I will show you my method of using be honest

instead of simply posting a single image of your way I would advise you all to

tell a story by showing progress of the project showing different stages of the

design and do things like close-ups this example isn't the best but you can see

here I briefly share the logo development stages as well as show the

colors used in the design my second example is a lot more relevant

so here is a wax and sweet project that I worked on last year right off the bat

I give a brief description about the project and I show the Pantone colors of

the local design this to me looks professional as we scroll down you're

going to see that I've showcased the designs as well as showing off the

typeface of the logo in a creative way I'm going to talk you into Photoshop

that was 1000 pixels wide and about ten thousand pixels tall I then added all of

these elements onto the design that I uploaded it a behance this is my method

for having a dope design for Behance projects also I use the color scheme

throughout the entire project to tie everything together so this is the first

portfolio platform for free that you can utilize to boost your graphic design

career also in Behance you can choose your account as a paid

online portfolio this isn't free of course but it may be something you want

to look into so if you haven't they already give the answer shot and see

what you can do with it

weebly was founded by three college friends who wanted to make it easier to

display and promote their work online so it's designed for creatives by creatives

today the site has a wide range of features that make it a top choice for

building a sick portfolio the SEO functionalities mean better rankings and

visibility while the built in marketing tools make it a popular solution for

e-commerce and design customers alike Weebly has a free option that you can

utilize also their paid versions which let's be honest per month has not a lot

of money to be spending let's take a quick look at some of their themes we

are possible portfolio

I like to look at this seam here it's clean and it's simple

as you can see this could easily become a great portfolio

I personally would share cakes my work here under services and change the link

to something like work instead of services so if you want a professional

portfolio for free or next to nothing check out Weebly the last platform that

will help you boost your graphic design career for free is wait for it Instagram

I will get into why it's a great platform for graphic design as soon as

you can see here I myself have an Instagram profile and I'm fairly active

on it I prefer to be more active but I run short on time in my day to day life

I like to showcase some of my work as well as make it more human or personal

finding a balance between two for more and too informal is important I feel one

great thing about using Instagram for graphic design portfolio is the hashtag

function it's commonplace for designers to max out the hashtags as this will get

your work seen very easily for free so if we type in logo as a search term we

will see huge amount of results

as you can see here in this design all the relevant hashtags and economic size

enough how much of a help this is to get exposure to a design work

so that was Instagram if you promote your account of the social media sites

use hashtags wisely and upload your best work as well as remaining human

throughout you can gain a lot of traction and exposure who totally free

in the next episode of this series on how to boost your graphic design career

for free I'm going to show you ways to really up your Instagram game in depth

JavaScript tutorial for Beginners #9-Code to Convert Celsius to Fahrenheit - Duration: 8:46.

Hello and welcome to the 9th episode of JavaScript tutorial for beginners.

Now for the first time in this tutorial we are going to

use the anonymous data input provided by the user and use it to calculate the temperature

unit conversion from Celsius to Fahrenheit.

The formula that we have seen previously is c/5 which is equals to (F-32)/9.

In this particular case it is unit of temperature in Celsius and F is the unit of

Fahrenheit and we will be using this common formula, we will be practically interpreting

this common for into JavaScript and we will be using the data input provided by the user.

And this is the final output of everything that we are going to see...

Here it is, for say if we enter a 37 degree temperature here

and if we submit we can see that automatically this temperature is now converted

into 98.6 degree Fahrenheit.

So this is the common conversion that we would try to

building up.

The first thing that we are going to do here, first of all we are going

to cut it off and here we are going to declare a variable which is x.

Now this interpretation suggests that the value that has

been fetched from an input field which has an ID name of name will be stored against

this variable x.

In this common interpretation provided with this centigrade value,

that is the value of C is known and the value of f is to be determined.

First of all, we are declaring a variable which is equivalent

to 5..

Now up to this part it is known to you.

What I am doing here, all those constant parameters such as this 5...

I am writing this thing here such that you may focus on what

we are intending it to be.

This is the common formula that we can derive from here.

And we can see that we have set some variables,

we have declare some variables such as this variable a, variable b, c, d, f...

All these variables this variables are holding some

constant parameters.

Some of them are some interpretations, some arithmetical

interpretations; such as this one this variable a it is holding this 5.

That means 5 into the formula which is needed is been stored

against separate variable a, similar thing goes for this b and c here.

All of them are holding some constant parameters and

in case of d what we did practically over here we have Store this particular area, that

means this 9c/5 That means 9 - which one is 9 here?

C equals to 9.

So 9 into the value of temperature in Celsius which is been provided

by the user, show 90 divided by 5, 5 means here a, it is stored against the variable

a, so that is what we are storing here against this variable d, and the next step

is we have declared the last variable f and summed of this variable against this particular

constant parameter which is b here, which is known as b, we should be changing

this to b.

b = 32 and in the interpretation we can see that the last payment of that we

have used over here is + 32 so that is what we are using here.

Now this is the practical the actual formula which we are going to implement that we are

going to interpret in a JavaScript program.

We want to display the result into the same page where we where working for.

So in doing so the last thing that we are going to do

we are going to make this declaration over here and here ,we are assigning it against

the variable f.

Care to note that we have assigned this variable f against this

particular instruction and we are practically displaying this final result into the inner

HTML part of any HTML element which has this particular ID of display.

So it will be practically printed into this particular part

which is div ID name display here which is the last position below the form field.

Now Press control plus is and get back to your

project and reload.

So far it is alright.

First of all let's check whether it is working or not.

So we are placing here 37; and we are submitting it and we can see that the

Fahrenheit conversion of the given input is shown in to this particular id which is

known as display.

So far it is all right.

We are now providing a particular conditional statement it will

check here whether the input provided he is a number or not.

If it is a number then quiet ok it will skip the rest of the steps;

if it is not the number it will do something else.

So this is the thing that we are going to do here.

We are going to provide an if else statement; if these, then

do this; else do that.

Now we will be providing this particular condition over here.

So if is not a number, which one?

Provided input.

If it is not a number then what it is going to do?

It is going to alert us with this following document; else, that

means in this particular condition if it finds that the input provided is in fact a

number then it will skip this particular part and it will be following the rest of this

codes.

So that is the thing we are going to check here.

Press control F5 and enter anything that you want and submit it;.

And you can see that an alert box appears that says sorry

this is not a number.

So there won't be any mathematical interpretation.

But now if we enter 37 again we can see that the Fahrenheit

conversion is being displayed again.

So this is the thing that we need to know first

thing that we have done here is we have declared a particular function name.

We have defined a function over here and we have

defined it as - the first thing we did here is fetched the input that we have provided

here and we have stored it against this variable x and then comes the condition checking

for weather this provided input is a number or not; if it is not a number when it is

going to alert you with a message like sorry this is not a number oh these sort of

things; and if the input provided he is a number then this rest of the things will be

happening here.

There will be some variable declaration such as this variable a which is

holding a constant parameter; same thing goes for b and c and in this d variable we have

stored the mathematical interpretation and then in this variable f we have added 32

constant parameter with this a particular result of variable d and then all we're doing

we are just printing it now inside an element, an HTML element which has an ID of

display and then we are just displaying it.

So this is the thing and this is the result that we can see your for here.

So this is the thing that we need to know from this tutorial.

Travel Vlog: Ewha University, Myeongdong, CHICKEN AND BEER | 01 | SOUTH KOREA (2017) - Duration: 11:26.

Hello world as promised from my last video. Here's a more detailed

day-by-day, South Korea travel vlog so let's start from the very beginning

We booked the Airbnb one month in advance, and we just

"finalized" itinerary days before the trip,

so Joy and I met at Coffee Project at least make a schedule on what we will do in Korea

Travel day! So the NAIA 1 was so different from what I remember

It's a lot brighter now compared to before and of course there are seats

So here are my friends who are with me on this trip from left to right

Pat, Jeff, Char and Joy

And as you can see this is the tone of our trip everyone laughing

Then this is just waiting to board

So we flew via Jeju Air and let me tell you the pilot for this trip was so good

I didn't even feel any bumps when we were landing

When we arrived, the airport was practically empty or so we thought.

Our baggage claim was actually the other side of the airport. ha ha

Then after everything we bought breakfast at this convenience store

We took the airport bus going to Sinchon. It was worth 10,000 KRW

And we took bus 6002

On the bus we had an unexpected seatmate. EEEE

Guess who?

The lead from "W" and "When you are sleeping"

He's sooo good looking

Everyone everyone's freezing

So right now, we're walking in Sinchon

Our (Air)B&B had an amazing view we really enjoyed staying here

Oh, and this was my bed for the next 5 nights

Aaaand this is me panicking while crossing the street

For the food, we ordered the meal for two

And to be honest

I really had no idea what we were ordering

But it looks good in the picture

so we got it

It's common sense right?

Oh!

No! This one is the extreme

And apparently red in Korea does not automatically mean

it's spicy. The packaging of the spicy one was actually green

For the meal it was quite satisfying even though. It was not as photogenic as the one in the picture

It was still a good size

The chicken patty was actually quite thick and mine was a little bit too spicy, as I will complain in the next slide

Spicy!

Then I absolutely love this sweet onion sauce that went with the chicken tenders

It had the right amount of sweetness and it also helped cut the spiciness of the sandwich

Right now,

we're on our way to Ewha!

This is the first time that I travelled during fall for the past two years

majority of my travels are during winter so you can imagine the excitement that I had when I saw all the colorful trees

Then it rained so we found shelter in a cafe

Did you know that this chain of cafe was featured in City Hunter?

I actually didn't know also until I did the Google search

So I had the cafe latte they and it had a strong coffee flavor

Liked it we didn't affect me as much unlike the other coffee

that I had the following day

Funny story, I separated from the group

to buy my sister's skincare

so before we separated I asked joy for the directions

I also confirmed it with the sales people at Missha

Then I looked at the address online

and it says Myeongdong 12-ro

and I was in Myeongdong 9-ro

so I walked until 11-ro and didn't see any 12-ro

So I asked Joy, again what's the nearest store

Thank you Korea for free WIFI everywhere

and she said Daiso

I saw a Daiso earlier so I went back

and arrived at Oseollok

I thought I was lost again

because my friends were not there

But it turns out that I was the 1st one who arrived

And of course I have to feature Wanna One

So we're

We're in Sinchon area. We're going to have chicken and beer

And budaejjigae later

That's what I want to eat!!

it's 24 hrs

1st of all, it's cold

Awhile ago, it was not this cold

So what do you say about our trip right now?

Then we went to Nene chicken for dinner

It's very dark so I cannot vlog

There is no English menu who so we just relied on Joy to read it for us

They gave us white radish as side dishes

And we ordered beer. Cass to be exact

So we had yangnyeom and snow chicken.

So yangnyeom chicken is a sweet and spicy

flavor with sauce.

While the snow chicken

is a chicken covered with cheese powder

After dinner we went grocery shopping for snacks

And that's it for this vlog. I hope you enjoyed it

We are going to take some water samples for the lokal sports fishing club (Grenland Sportsfiskere).

Because of their work there are fish in all the lakes around here!

To take water samples is a part of the work to take care of the fish stocks.

It's called "fish cultivation" in Norway.

The fishing club has done a great job!

It's possible to get fish!
