Casio KX-101 Bizarre Boombox/Keyboard hybrid - Duration: 17:26.

Hello, and welcome back to 8-Bit Keys.

In this episode, I want to show you this crazy Caio KX-101 boombox / keyboard hybrid.

I think this thing was made in 1986, although I have not been able to confirm that yet.

I think it may be one of the craziest contraptions that Casio has ever produced.

Now, this thing is not 100% working.

The main problem is the cassette deck.

I think the belt is broken, but it may have other issues as well.

There's also some problems with the amplifier, there's weird, bizarre, random noises and

stuff that come from it.

And, I think some of the issue is with some of the slider controls are not making good

contact anymore and need to be cleaned.

But, despite that, before I try to repair this thing, I want to go ahead and try to

review all of the things that are currently working.

And, the reason is, because I have read online some horror stories about how difficult these

things are to take apart and work on.

And so, what I'm afraid of is that once I take it apart, I may end up making the thing

worse, or maybe not even get it put back together properly.

So, I want you to at least be able to see the stuff that works.

So, let's get right into it!

As far as boomboxes go, the KX-101 may have more actual buttons than any other boombox

ever made.

And to be honest, I'm not going to go over each and every button because I think this

video would be 3 hours long if I did.

This thing is also rather heavy for a boombox of this class.

As you can see it weighs in at a little over 13 pounds, 3 ounces.

For you guys in the rest of the world that use the far more logical metric system, thats

about 5.99, or essentially 6 kilograms.

And that's without all of those heavy D cell batteries in there.

Let's turn this thing around.

I want to show you the speakers.

By the way, it does just get power form the standard 2 prong AC cord, which was common

with boomboxes in the 80s.

However, this is different from the figure-8 style cords that are more common on electronics

today.

The speakers are connected by these little wires.

And then, you can press the release button here and the speakers will just lift right

off.

Now, what the purpose of this is, I have no idea.

But if you wanted, you could use longer cables like these and put the speakers wherever you

want.

So, for example, if you wanted to arrange the thing like this, I guess you could.

Next I'll draw your attention to the function switch.

It has 4 main modes of operation, Keyboard, tape player, radio, and line input.

Please ignore the dirty switch.

I really haven't cleaned this thing up yet.

I figured I'd do that when I take it apart.

And, of course, here's the main power switch over here.

And you'll notice there's kind of a delay before it comes to life.

So, in keyboard mode, it works pretty much like you'd expect.

I'll come back to this later.

I'll try moving it over to radio.

Yeah, so the radio works fine, and I seems to be decently clear.

So, let's try the cassette tape mode.

I'm going to use one of Anders Jensen's tapes, since he is the one that donated this

crazy thing to me.

But when I press play… all you hear is this humming of a motor.

And that's it.

Doesn't seem to matter if it is play, fast forward, or rewind.

Same story.

I suspect the belt is broken.

Literally nothing is moving in here.

It also has a good amount of inputs and outputs.

Including stereo line out, line in, and microphone inputs.

Apparently this thing has some sing-along type features too.

Oh, and I also want to show you the battery compartment.

So it actually takes 8 D-cell batteries, which would add quite a bit more weight to this

thing.

But what's even more interesting Isi what is hiding over here.

I'll have to use a screwdriver to take this panel off.

And look at that.

It's a Casio RAM pack slot.

Good luck finding one of those.

They do show up on eBay from time to time.

This one recently showed up, but it's in France and I wouldn't have time to wait

for it since I've already started filming this video.

But this is literally the only one on eBay and once it's gone, there probably won't

be another for a while.

So, the purpose of the RAM card is so that you could compose some music and then save

it digitally to the RAM card and then, you know, play it back later.

Well, interestingly enough, another option besides the RAM card would be to save the

music to a cassette tape.

Now, you might think that what I'm talking about is just saving the analog sound data

to a cassette tape so you could play it back in your walkman or your car stereo or something

like that.

But, that's not actually what it does.

In fact, ironically, the best I can tell, this unit can't actually do that.

But, what it can do is it can save digital information to a cassette tape with your musical

composition much in the same way that, say, an old Commodore, Apple, or Atari might have

saved digital information to a cassette around that same time period.

But, for all the good it does me because my cassette drive isn't working.

OK, so I do want to demonstrate the keyboard some, so I'll plug in some wires to the

line output to record from.

But I want to draw your attention to another problem.

If you take a listen to this recording I'm making, you'll hear random weird noises.

These noises are audible both from the main speakers and from the line output.

So, there's no way to get a clean recording from this, but hopefully it won't be too

terrible.

I'd also like to mention that the keys on this thing are really small, similar to this

Casio SA-9 that I recently reviewed.

Although the boombox actually has ad additional 5 keys.

However, the sounds this thing makes are far more primitive and more inline with the old

Casio PT series keyboards that produce cheap squarewaves.

In fact, the closest actual match in sound and features would be the Casio PT-30, which

I don't currently have.

However, again the boombox has a few additional keys.

So, let's try out the keyboard.

The first thing I want to show you is how the the notes alternate from left to right

when you play.

And just in case you couldn't hear that, take a look at the recording here in audacity.

As you can see, it has 4-voice polyphony.

Now, I wanted to play some songs for you, but the keys are so ridiculously small, that

it is nearly impossible to play anything complicated on this.

My fingers keep bumping into each other and finding the right key by feel alone is really

tough.

It's really frustrating.

You're far better off trying to play simple songs like chopsticks……

Or this.

Over here on the left it has these little chord buttons, similar the Casio PT series,

They can only make one sound, which is an organ.

If you hold down the key, you can change to different types of chords.

But the keys are also so ridiculously small they are hard to use.

You can change instruments by pressing the tone button, and then selecting one of the

9 instruments that are listed above the black keys… well, they aren't black on this

keyboard, but you know what I mean.

Of course, none of these instruments sound particularly good.

This is the Piano 3.

This is the Harpsichord.

This is Clarinet.

This is Horn.

Here's Flute.

And last, this is Mellow.

But one problem with all of these instruments is they are too high pitched.

Fortunately, there is a transpose option and you can go down 12 half steps, or basically

an entire octave.

I've found the keyboard sounds much better moving it down like this.

This is a much more reasonable range of notes.

Using this, the Horn sounds kind of like a sawtooth wave of some kind.

Another neat feature is the unison button.

What this does is makes the keyboard monophonic but uses all 4 voices in a slightly detuned

way, giving a neat sound.

So here's the clarinet again.

That actually sounds pretty cool.

Here's the Organ.

And the Piano.

And the Harpsichord.

OK, so now we've reached the part I've been secretly dreading, which is, I'm going

to see if I can take this thing apart and hopefully fix it.

Fortunately, I found a few tips online for disassembly.

And I learned that it is necessary to pop off all of these switches on the front panel

first.

And some of these aren't too happy about coming off, like this one.

However, other ones seem to come off with little to no issue.

Unfortunately, this main function switch was the toughest to get off.

And then this happened.

Lovely.

Well, I'm not off to a great start, I can see.

I turned my attention to some of these other little rocker type switches.

And eventually back to this stubborn one.

Eventually it did come off.

And, of course, I have a whole bunch to do on the other side over here.

Once that's all done, the next thing to do is turn it over and unscrew all of the

screws in the back.

I had already noticed that this power supply looked like it might be a removable piece.

So once I was done with these four screws I tried to pull it out.

And sure enough, it does come out as a single unit.

I suppose this was handy for fitting it with different power supplies for different regions.

It connects right here with these little pins.

And this thing is surprisingly heavy.

So here goes nothing….

Wow.

I'd better remove this ground wire.

I'm actually going to put the screw back so I don't lose it.

This is one device I'll need to be super careful about remembering where things go.

Now let's see if these ribbons will disconnect.

Thank God, they do.

Holy cow manure.

This thing is way overcomplicated.

It's downright scary.

I'll be honest I'm tempted to close it back up right now and just say forget it.

OK, so I need to remove this tape mechanism.

And it looks like I might be able to remove it.

But, I think I'm going to start by removing the tape heads.

The main reason being Is that the wires are soldered in somewhere over here, and I think

it'd be easier just to unscrew them.

So that's what I'm going to do.

Next I'm going unscrew the cassette mechanism.

I'm not 100% convinced I can remove the mechanism without removing the any of the

boards, but the chances look good, so I'm going to go for it.

It did require some careful maneuvering, but I was successful.

OK, so now that I finally get a closer look at the cassette mechanism, I realize the belt

is not broken, but it has slipped off of its pulleys.

Naturally, I can put the belt back on, but the first question that comes to mind is WHY

did it slip off and will it happen again?

Well, I did manage to re-attach the belt, but if I had any hope of seeing this thing

in motion, I needed to re-attach it to the rest of the system.

So that's exactly what I did.

I also reinstalled the power supply so that I could power this thing on.

So I powered the unit on, then I moved the selector switch to cassette mode.

And, of course tried pressing play.

Well, something happened.

The little capstan is spinning, but nothing else.

I thought maybe I should put a cassette in there, one I don't care about of course.

So, when I play the tape, the capstan does pull the tape along, but the other reel is

not spinning to collect the tape.

This will obviously never work.

Ok guys.

The moment of truth has arrived.

So, here's the thing.

This tape mechanism is ridiculously complicated.

It's not even mechanical in nature.

This thing's got a lot of electronic parts.

It's got sensors and at least 4 or 5 little solenoids all through it.

And you can't actually force this thing into say, fast forward, rewind, play or anything

like that because it all has to receive commands from this ribbon cable here.

Now, I have spent the last several hours poking around at this thing and trying to figure

out what's wrong with it.

And from a mechanical perspective, once I put the belt back on, I can't find anything

wrong.

Yet, at the same time, one of the things that it does is that the little pinch wheel here

actually does pull the tape but neither one of these little gears that are supposed to

you know, wind the tape in, are working in either direction.

And so, again, I don't know if it's a solenoid problem, or it could even be an electrical

problem here on this board.

In fact, there's an entire daughter board under here for controlling the cassette drive.

So the bottom line is, I'm sure if I wanted to devote the next year of my life, I could

probably track down and fix this problem.

But ultimately, I just don't want to.

You know, that's something that everybody has got to come to terms with.

At some point when you're repairing a project you've got to be able to draw a line and

say I'm going to go this far and no further.

And this is as far as I'm going to go with this unit.

I'm just not going to spend the next year repairing it.

So, what I am going to do is I'm going to put it back together and there's actually

a slim chance that it may actually work now that the belt is back on.

Because there's a few little sensors and there's even a ground wire that connects

under there, and a few other things that I don't know, maybe when it's all put back

together, maybe it will work.

I don't know.

Let's found out.

After 2 hours of careful re-assembly I managed to get it all back together again and even

managed to superglue that piece of the function switch back on.

Unfortunately, the cassette drive still doesn't work.

However, I figured if nothing else I could at least fix this peeling off label, right?

I thought what I'd do is use some alcohol to clean off the old adhesive just on this

part that is peeling off, then apply some new adhesive and stick it back down.

Well, one thing I realized is that this label was barely hanging on at all, so I just pulled

it the rest of the way off.

Then I cleaned the remaining adhesive off of the label.

My plan was now to mask off the area around this and use spray adhesive.

Unfortunately, my wife used all of my good adhesive on one of her craft projects and

bought me this new adhesive to replace it.

It was not tacky at all, just like spraying water actually.

I thought maybe if I put some weight on top of it and let it dry, maybe that would help.

Well, a few hours later, I checked it out and it wasn't even adhered in anyway at

all.

So, yeah..

I'm going to chunk that spray adhesive she bought me.

I guess I'll resort to a simpler method and just use double-sided tape.

I'll coat the entire area, and then trim the excess away with a knife.

And that actually seems to work really well.

However, I'm sort of disappointed that I got some alcohol on the front of the label

and it almost immediately took off the markings for the serial number and voltage.

So I used my label printer and made a new serial number badge.

It's the same number as before, as I wanted to preserve the number for this unit.

And so here we go.

Looks like I got it a little crooked, but the original number was too so I guess I won't

worry about it.

And of course, here's the voltage label.

Well, this doesn't look perfect but it is better than it was a few minutes ago.

OK guys, well I guess that about wraps it up.

I'm sorry this episode was just a little bit anticlimactic, since I wasn't able to

repair it.

But, you know, I think it's important to show the failures along with the successes

when it comes to doing repair work or restoration work because things don't always go to and

that's just the reality of it.

The silver lining is, at least I was able to get it all back together without damaging

anything internally.

So I didn't make the thing any worse off than it was before.

So, anyway at least you did get to see a little demonstration of how it works.

All righty, well I do have some great content planned for next month.

And I am going to try do at least one episode a month for this channel, so stick around

Power Carved Ripple Bench | woodworking how to - Duration: 14:30.

hey guys we're Evan and Katelyn and today we are going to make a bench and

then power carve some texture into it Arbortech was nice enough to sponsor

thank you Arbortech! we got our first taste of power carving while we were

hanging out with April Wilkerson and we definitely wanted to do it again

and we're making a bench because we have one right now in our entryway but it's

kind of embarrassing. it was an earlier project... and that's

all we need to say moving on so this new design it's gonna be a pretty simple

design because we really want the texture to be the start of the show

the bench is designed like a box without the bottom: four sides and a top. and to keep

a modern vibe we're using hairpin legs we definitely recommend doing some test

carving first to get a feel for the tool and not have to worry about your final piece.

that looks so artsy and cool. looks like you know what you're doing we're gonna try using some pecan

for the first time it has these really cool striations so hopefully that'll

look cool with the texture we're going for

time for a lazy planing! Will it fit? It will barely

we traced the first piece to get the right length for the sides of our bench

so in cutting the pecan yesterday we realized that this is a really hard wood

we just want to make sure we can carve the texture we want into it so we're going to

man way better no tear out nothing look at that. That's so good. Wanna try it? Yeah.

we lined up our top inside pieces before permanently attaching anything I think the grain

looks really nice over here matches up ah we marked where our pieces would join

together and all the spots to drill pocket holes

okay can you see my hands because I want to put text like glue and screw you can now

actually before we do that let's sand these flat

what do you want to do for dinner haha we just had lunch shh shh shh ah you want tacos?

so the pecan is a little warpy and it wasn't attaching at a 90-degree angle so

we're trying to remedy that with these big ol clamps. Big ol clamps, big ol clamps! we measured this space here

to get the right size for our end pieces

we try to always make our cuts as we go because with things like warpy wood

and non-professional woodworking skills things aren't always gonna fit together

the way you expect them to

yeah it's a tiny bit proud here tiny tiny bit but it looks really good

oh my gosh what if these are the table legs. what's going on? hi!

I think this is might be what we're waiting. have a good one! oh my gosh that's the legs I'm gonna be

so excited- it's the legs! sorry I got excited oh that's gonna look good it's gonna look really

I feel we're preparing a sandwich

sanding phase one low grit belt sander hit the raised areas

phase two high grit random orbit get a nice surface finish

phase three hand sand to take the edge off the corners. it's like it was never warpy

I see that you've upgraded your driver haha that's awesome

also I see that you needed to get a little bit more leverage. this is actually pretty good.

so at this point you have a perfectly acceptable bench

but the whole reason we built this is to do some power carving

so we're doing one last practice because we were nervous and I started doing it

and it was really tearing out and it's cuz I was going against the grain the

blade spins across so you wanted to be spinning across with the grain so we're

gonna try again with the grain all smooth without the grain without the

grain against the grain it's crazy so we're about to go into power carving

montage mode but we'll try to mix in some tips tip 1 instead of pushing hard

into the wood lightly pull the TURBO Plane towards you along the wood's surface

tip two place your cuts randomly so you don't accidentally form a pattern

I'm so glad that you're doing this though you're a lot better at it

you're better at being random mine just end up being in a line

tip three don't forget to carve all the way to the edges

is it really satisfying to do? It's like super satisfying

I thought it would take way longer to sand. I thought it'd take way longer.

it's like a really smooth starting finish

shellac's pretty forgiving and we wanted something easy to work with for this texture

we usually use foam brushes and would recommend those over the bristled ones

shellac raises the grain so you have to stand it between coats it's it's it

actually feels horrible

it is hard to sand the texture without pressing too hard

one trick to get your coats even is to shine a flashlight on

the surface at a steep angle it'll show where it's too thick and what spots

you've missed thankfully the second coat barely required any sanding

you rub my shoulder, I rub the bench. hahaha

yeah like I wanna just come out here and fly my drone. I wanna come out here and eat goldfish

yeah we can come out here, eat goldfish, we can bring the bench again

I think when I was doing it I was just digging in and it was too aggressive and

have to have like at least for this texture have a light hand go with the

Jiren HIDDEN SECRETS REVEALED! In Dragon Ball Super Episode 127 - Duration: 11:28.

Hands down, the best statement in the entire history of Dragon Ball Super was just made.

Android 17 turned to look at the fighters he knew would be the key to Universe 7's

survival.

And in honor of something that he and his sister shared, he anticipated the next action

that only he knew he was about to make.

"Sacrificing myself for others...I kind of like how human that is."

It had become a common theme between them.

Android 18 mentioned it as her brother questioned why she he had jumped off the stage after

him.

Her reply?

"You like sappy human stuff like this, right?"

He had been given a second chance.

You see, born humans, then suddenly modified, the robotic lifestyle of an android had once

been a more natural way for them to live.

But after meeting the Z fighters and changing their ways, both Android 17 and Android 18

found themselves with families of their own.

And humanly ways of living were now what they were fighting to keep alive.

Android 17 looked up to see his sister appear in the stands.

She yelled down to remind him that now he really owed her and that he better not lose.

When he nodded, he made a promise to truly give it his all from that point forward.

I'm sure you agree with me when I say that he fulfilled that promise far past our expectations.

The defeat against Aniraza that never would have been so easy had it not been for his

specific knowledge of the ultrasonic waves some animals use to detect movement around

them was only one way that he used his learned craft as a ranger to great use during the

Tournament of Power.

The calmness that he used as he took on the God of Destruction Toppo that none of the

other Universe 7 fighters ever would have been able to use was deserving of great respect,

which he gained from many Dragon Ball Super fans since then.

And especially now, as the white light fitting of the pure-hearted Android 17 engulfed everything

around him, not a single one of us was left doubting that he was truly a valuable player

in this devastating game.

But there is one problem that this scene created.

Android 17 had done exactly what he had set out to do.

Protect Goku and Vegeta as they laid there unable to move, simply waiting for Jiren's

terrifyingly monstrous attack to finish them.

But let me ask you this.

What's stopping Jiren from doing this same exact attack again?

And this time, there would be no barriers to protect them.

You see the problem, right?

Jiren wasted absolutely no time showing off his wide range of auras after that smile had

shockingly appeared on his face.

This is what we've been waiting literally months to see.

And yet, I find myself still in a state of wonder.

It's like we expected to have some answers about Jiren's extremely mysterious character

by the time he pulled out all that hidden strength.

But now that it was here, we still barely knew anything about him.

Leaving many of us with a simple statement that shouldn't be on the minds of any Dragon

Ball Super fan.

"Universe 7 is definitely about to lose."

Thankfully, there were 2 things that distracted us from this horrible thought.

The first being the statement the Zenos made.

It was clear just by looking at the Dragon Ball Super Episode 127 preview that Jiren's

auras were unlike anything else we've seen before in the show.

But as the Zenos gawked at his amazing power, they made that thought even more of a reality.

They literally said that Jiren was on fire.

It's yet to be determined if this is just an awesome animation to make him stand out

from everybody else or if there's actually something more significant about the fire

surrounding him that could explain the large gap between his power and everybody elses.

Regardless, it gave us at least one new piece of information to help us understand exactly

who Jiren is.

The second thing distracting us from our fears for Universe 7, was the most awesome attack

we've ever seen Android 17 pull off.

And I'm not just saying that because I'm currently crying my eyes out after his self-destruction.

This attack had me astonished.

I knew he was strong, but woah.

But let's be honest here.

Who else found it funny that Universe 11's Supreme Kai was all, "Oh my gosh!

Jiren is wounded!"

Really?

A hole in a uniform and maybe a few scratches on his back?

Not really what I would consider a wound, but I guess that's about as close to a for

real injury we should expect for someone this strong.

It wasn't just Android 17's amazing attack that gave me some hope for Universe 7, though.

It was more the realization that this gave to Goku.

We've already heard those false hopes fueled by panic before this episode that Goku and

Vegeta still have a chance against Jiren.

But here's the difference between this time and back then.

It was in Dragon Ball Super Episode 123 that Goku and Vegeta finally teamed up.

The sad thing about this whole situation, though, was that they hated working together.

And therefore, their attacks were sloppy and not coordinated at all.

However, Jiren seemed to be struggling.

It was the first sign we had ever seen that Jiren might actually have a weakness.

As Whis noticed, the incoordination between them was ironically the reason Jiren was having

troubles countering them.

And with that statement, Beerus jumped up filled with excitement and joy.

There was still a very real chance that Universe 7 would be the one to survive.

See the difference?

This hopeful statement was made by someone in the stands.

An observer.

Someone just sitting there watching the fight, not actually a part of it.

And even though they are all witnessing the same exact attacks, it's just not the same

when you're looking at the attack as when you're the one actually dealing or receiving

the attack.

This hope did not seemed to be shared with the ones that were for real involved.

But now, Goku was the one stating that he actually saw a way to defeat Jiren.

And that made me so much happier than I ever thought it would.

As someone who's been hoping for some awesome plot twist to happen since the Tournament

of Power had started, I've been surprisingly exstatic to watch scenes such as this one,

where the team is working together, giving Jiren a well-deserved taste of his own medicine.

And I bet I'm not the only one who's been feeling like this, am I right?

But then, things like this

quickly bring me back to reality.

There's really no other way to put it.

Jiren is just too much.

However, there's something important to note.

And that is the change in his personality just after Android 17 had apparently wounded

him.

There were quite a few people who didn't agree with me when I said Jiren's smile

was showing his true cockiness.

Do I agree with those people that he's simply excited to actually be forced to use his full

power for once?

Yea, I do agree.

But put yourself in Jiren's shoes.

You lead a life that consists of protecting innocent lives from evil villains who hold

about 1% of your own power.

You're probably feeling it as we speak.

A confidence in yourself that there literally is no one out there who can out do you.

It's almost impossible not to feel at least a little bit cocky, don't you think?

And his actions this week towards Android 17 specifically showed that this was Jiren's

pride that was getting hurt.

Which reminds me a lot about a certain other person named Frieza.

When he came out of hiding, just as the #ANIFAM had been predicting, that strange look in

his eyes was present.

You know the one I'm talking about.

The look of someone who's gone completely bonkers.

Frieza found himself so furious at the amount of power Universe 11's fighters had been

using on him in the last few minutes that he decided to totally push away the tournament

rules.

Now that I definitely was not expecting.

Frieza's whole goal in joining the team for Universe 7 was so that he could be resurrected.

Or even better, win the Super Dragon Balls and wish for whatever evil master plan he

wants.

To give all of that away just to get a quick revenge on a single person?

The Dragon Ball Super writers have done such an amazing job of building up Frieza's character

that something like this just doesn't fit.

Much like the feeling many got after watching Dragon Ball Super Episode 126, it started

to look like powers were getting nerfed in an attempt to rush through to the end of the

Tournament of Power as Jiren knocked Frieza down to the stage with basically 0 effort.

But still, there was one other problem that greatly outweighs this unfortunate Frieza

nerf.

Can I be brutally honest with you here?

This 2nd issue has me, well, extremely upset.

Who else couldn't wait for this episode to air as soon as that leaked image came out?

This was it!

How long had we been waiting for this very moment?

To finally have some backstory about Jiren's life!

Now, I will say that the teamwork happening in this episode got me so hyped that I almost

forgot this backstory was coming.

Especially that moment Android 17 threw up the many barriers that we had seen in the

preview.

This was a move that proved to me this episode was going to show us the full extent to Android

17's powers.

Many people in the #ANIFAM probably remember, as well as shared, my excitement to finally

see it.

After all, he had once held down Goku's attack as a Super Saiyan Blue like it was

nothing.

And it had been a long time since we had seen that same level in him return.

But when Belmod said he would explain why strength was so important to Jiren, all that

excitement from earlier in the day came flooding back to me.

As he started with the terrible attack made on Jiren's parents, leaving him orphaned,

we were instantly able to see the connection as to why he strived to be so strong.

However, with the immense power that he holds, I was certain something worse was coming for

this story.

Think about it like this.

There have been many others who have dealt with similar situations.

Yet, their powers have never reached even close to the same level as his.

Turns out all of his comrades, including the person who had taken him in as well as trained

him, were all horribly defeated.

And Jiren ended up alone.

Sure, the story was sad, but enough to explain this?

Think again.

I'm sorry, but this is not what any of us were expecting.

The level of upset I am about this sorry excuse of a backstory for the most overpowered enemy

Goku has ever had to face in the entire Dragon Ball franchise, and not just by a little,

but by miles and miles, is…

Forget it.

I'd rather just use my energy focusing on the fact Android 17 has just given Goku and

Vegeta that same push that his sister had once given him.

Unfortunately, even that is not enough to keep Goku on his feet.

Leaving Vegeta to face the unbeatable man alone.

And as Goku watches helplessly on the sidelines, he starts to remember the many times that…

I'm here to announce the Irish readathon! Along with three other Irish

booktubers we will be hosting this readathon from the 1st of March to the

31st of March! Who are these three other Irish booktubers? We have Leanne from

Leanne Rose, Aoife from Fred Weasley Died Laughing and Jessica from Breathe and

Read! So yes, what is this about? Well this readathon, as the name suggests, The

Irish Readathon is to promote and read books by Irish authors and, you know, just

get them out there, get people to read more by Irish authors and discover Irish

authors both modern and classic. We have five challenges which you don't have to

do but if you would like to, if this is something you would enjoy do, just have

challenges to motivate you to, you know, just do something a bit different than you

would usually. Well, here are the challenges! The first challenge is the

challenge that I set which is to read a classic. Irish classic. So any book that

is considered an Irish classic. The next challenge is Leanne's challenge and it

is to read a book that was published in the last 10 years. So an Irish

Contemporary. next is Aoife's challenge which is to read a book focused on a

point in Irish history. The fourth challenge is Jessica's challenge which

is to read a book by an Irish female author. And the bonus challenge, just

thrown in there because it fits, is to read a book with green on the cover!

So yeah, easy as. You don't have to do any of the

challenges! You can do all of the challenges! You can combine the

challenges! Really it's up to you what you do! Should be really interesting! I'm

So I needed to get my car battery replaced

or the sensor replaced because I got a recall notice

so we came here this morning. Ryan met me here

so i was hurrying here because I was supposed to

go to her house but i overslept so...

i told her "I'll meet you there"

I was on the freeway driving

i was going about 65 (the speed limit)

maybe a little bit more. 65-70

Everyone does it, don't worry about it

Anyways!

I was in the left lane (one next to the carpool)

you know i was going the speed limit

then all of a sudden someone was on my tail

A blond woman maybe 25 years old

she was tailgating me for like five minutes, like seriously 5 minutes

well.. guess what!

I had no idea that the CHP (means Highway Patrol)

was driving in the carpool lane

and I had no idea

I brake-checked because seriously it was that close

so i did a quick brake check to tell her to slow down and take it easy

She kept going on my tail so I sped up a little bit and then the police office pulled up next to me

and i was caught off guard

he gestured "slow down!"

I was gesturing "oh no! shes tailgating me"

I'm going fast because she's tailgating me

and the office was like "oh" and nodded his head

you actually signed to him?!

i actually yeah

and he understood you?

yeah pretty much

so he slowed down a bit

to my left rear (girl was still behind me)

then the police officer was right here

i thought "OH MAN! He's going to pull me over!"

because I was going a bit too fast

then I decided to go ahead and move one lane to the right because i thought he was going to pull me over

so I just went ahead and moved to the right to get ready to be pulled over

but when i switched lanes, the woman took off

and i was like "woah"

Cop's right there!

Then the cop turned on his lights and sirens and pulled her over

i was like "ha... KARMA!"

so lets go eat!

and ellen got up to buy me coffee

Consciousness is infinite but you have been conditioned to see only the finite.

When you begin to follow your intuition and awareness rather than the confines of the

logical mind, you are entering the doorway into the infinite in which all wisdom is found,

all answers are stored and all solutions await.

You have been taught to limit yourself to that which is attained by human learning.

Instead, let wisdom teach you.

Become open.

The rational, logical thinking that is so prized in your world is the false ceiling

that limits access to rivers of wisdom.

Logic is the cloaking device that has kept infinite truth hidden for generations.

Logic encourages limited thinking that blocks access to the unknown, using the illusion

of the known to keep divine wisdom just out of reach.

We are not saying that logic is �bad.� It is a necessary thought process in your

world in certain situations.

However, logic can be a limiting factor when it comes to accessing all other aspects of

consciousness, especially those that are not commonly known or yet understood.

How do you connect with streams of information that belong to the infinite sea of consciousness?

It is most accessible through silence, stillness, dreamtime, imagination, meditation, prayer

and the relaxed state between wake and sleep.

�Wonder� is the vibrational �code� that accesses knowing.

When you dance with wonder, consciousness flows.

Wonder, alone, is the frequency needed to connect the circuit between known and the

unknown.

When Jesus said �You must become like a child, to enter the kingdom of God,� he

was alluding to curiosity, openness and wonder as a doorway.

By thinking you know God, you cannot know him.

By stepping into wonder and awe, you discover for yourself.

Wonder allows you the opportunity to recognize and remember.

Consciousness is where you came from, and consciousness is who you are.

Everything else is illusion.

So yes, someone did collude with a foreign government to influence the 2016 election,

but it sure as hell wasn't Trump.

Pelosi didn't think that kind of colluding was bad, but she sure believes the baseless

Trump Russia collusion story.

In reaction to the memo release, the Wicked Witch of the West, unloaded this insanity:

Testing NEW Makeup: Full Face of First Impressions - Duration: 15:10.

Hey guys so for today's video I am doing a full face of first impressions and

we're testing a bunch of new makeup releases I'm so excited you guys like we

have so many new products I feel like my voice am I still having morning voice I

mean it's like 12 o'clock but I feel like my voice sounds like morning boys

anyways I have a bunch of new products to try I'm so excited we have the new

toothpaste unicorn collection the new chart foundation which we'll touch on so

the first thing I'm gonna do is prime my skin just because I well I do have a new

primer to try but whenever I try a new foundation I like to try it with a

primer that I already know and that I love so I mentioned to you guys we are

going to be testing out the new heart-shaped tape foundation now I know

this foundation has had a lot of talk surrounding it so I asked you guys on

Twitter and on snapchat if you wanted to even see me review this foundation a lot

of you guys said no and a lot of you guys said yes I literally did a poll on

Twitter and I think it was literally like 49% and 52% yes

49% No so it was just very conflicting a lot of you guys said no don't give it

any attention but then a lot of you guys said yes it needs to be talked about

this is an issue that needs to be addressed and I kind of agree with that

at first I was kind of like yeah not even dipping into that pool I'm not even

gonna bother with them but then I was like honestly if none of us like I feel

like if everyone doesn't come together and speak out then we're not addressing

the issue we're just sweeping it under the rug

so ultimately I decided to just not do a whole video on it you know but just

really include it in this first impression and touch on the issue so if

you guys are unfamiliar Tarte released the new taste shape tape foundation

which we all love the concealer like it is legendary at this point it's so good

so we were just so excited to see the foundation even I was like when it first

dropped on trend mood and I saw that photo I got so excited you guys I didn't

even bother seeing how many shades were released I didn't even bother checking

if those were all the shades I was like bull lion did because I was so excited

that I was like oh my god I can't wait like I'm so excited I'm so ready for

this but then once that hype died down I was like wait those are like those are

literally all the shades they released there's literally like 85% fair light

medium shades and then like 10 15 % deep shades to me it's like it's 2018 we got

to step it up as a a community and really make these brands

accountable because this is the thing is like this is tarah is not the first

brand to do this so tart did release a little statement saying that they kind

of rushed the process and they ended up releasing whatever shades they had and

some of the deeper shades got left out so you know who knows if that's true or

if that's just kind of an excuse they made up we don't know right all we could

hope for is that they do better and it looks like they have released some more

shades and that there will be more to come but regardless a lot of you guys

still wanted me to try the formula because this is such an epic like launch

you know like we were so excited for it but I have the shades tan honey here and

the shades medium tan so I guess we're gonna see how those two work for me

those are the matte one now they also released the hydrating one which the

hydrating one is in the shade tan sand which I feel like would match me more

because I think it's more warm whereas I think this is more neutral but I might

have to just pull off the neutral because I think you guys really want to

see me try out the matte so I really like how it has a doe foot applicator

just like the concealer like I really like that about it but I am just gonna

go ahead who that's going to be a bit too dark but I am gonna mix in a little

bit of medium tan honey let's see how this blends out I feel like this shade

is going to be a little bit to oranjee but I always have that problem with the

Tarte foundation shades like I always find them a bit too orange II they never

have like that nice olive golden undertone you know what you guys this

actually feels like as if it were the shape tape concealer like in a

foundation and this feels like that leak it actually blended out really nicely

even though it's still mat god I really hope they I really hope they get this

shade situation situated I think I'm really liking the formula of this but I

don't even think there's a shade in this range that would match me nicely I was

honestly really shocked to find out that Tarte like such a big brand like just a

brand that is so big works with so many influencers would honestly really not

include deeper shades in their initial release to be honest I'm more

disappointed and just shocked in Tarte as a brand that they would even think

that that's remotely like Oh okay even if the deeper shades weren't

ready yet like the fact that they thought it was okay to like release them

afterwards I'm really disappointed in them as a brand like I wasn't expecting

this from them I really actually liked art as a brand so I think I'm more

disappointed than anything you know when you don't expect something from someone

and they and then they just do some here just like oh oh I see Oh true colors

literally I actually really like how this foundation is blending out you guys

it blends out nicely it's nice and matte but it doesn't feel or look cakey to be

honest with you guys I really feel like this is the Tarte shaped ape concealer

in a foundation I'm excited to try out the hydrating one let me know if you

guys want to see this in the next full face of person first impression and I

will do that I'm not noticing its settling into any lines even Mike the

crease of my eyes sometimes foundation will kind of settle in those areas and

it's not doing that at all no smile lines

nothing it's actually looking super smooth flawless so I don't have a new

concealer to try so I'm just going to take some of the Tarte shaped tape in

light medium so I'm gonna go into some cream a bronzing real quick because I

have some powder bronzers and the Too Faced unicorn collection to test out for

you guys so I will be right back so before we get into the Too Faced

collection I want to go ahead and test out this L'Oreal bronzer actually just

received this in the mail this is the pro glow long-wear bronzer in the shade

28 cocoa so I thought this looked really cool because it has a bronzer up here

and a highlighter over here I don't know if you're supposed to use them

separately or if you're supposed to mix them but I kind of feel like this I

don't know it's just like a sheer topper so I feel like you're supposed to mix

them and just get like a luminous bronze yeah Demi glow finish so it seems like

you're supposed to mix them or you could use them separately whatever oh it does

really pretty it's not ultra pigmented which is nice sometimes you don't need

like a super pigmented bronzer I'm also going to apply some all over the chest

okay so I actually bought the rainbow highlighter from Too Faced which I'm

really excited for because it has this really pretty bronzy Goldy strip right

there but I also have the new amrezy hi letter which I know you guys are dying

for me to try so we're going to try this out too

on the face but maybe I can test this out still maybe on the eyes we'll see

cuz I really I don't know it smells good and they packet again so pretty but this

though the amrezy Anastacio highlight like hello oh you guys are you not

living for this though hmm okay so the formula is a little bit like the make up

forevers profusion highlights where you kind of have to scrape at it a little

bit just to get it but not quite like you don't have to scrape fully but it's

definitely not powder it's like pressed oh oh it's definitely pigmented like I

feel like I put too much on Wow super pigmented they definitely made this

formula like that wet look on its own without even having to wet it so I also

got this really cool two-faced unicorn tears bronzer in I think they call this

a bronzer what is it yeah iridescent mystical bronzer but what I'm

gonna do is use this as a blush because when you swatch it I just feel like it's

just too shiny as a bronzer so I'm gonna use it as like a little bit of a blusher

just pop that right in the middle well that's actually nice does give you like

a little bit that extra bronze so for brows I actually have this new kiss top

brow pencil in the shade deep dark brown so it's actually gliding on really

nicely like the way it applies on the skin it just kind of smoothes on which

is really nice so for the eyes we have this really fun

unicorn palette by Too Faced this is the - one name of it is life's a festival so

it actually looks really pretty I'm really interested in these type of green

shades I guess we'll see what we'll go for today but make up forevers also sent

me some of their new single shadows and they got me to pick out my shades so I

decided to go for this and this is the little palette that I created I will

leave the shade names down below for you guys I am really curious to see the

formula of these because these make up forevers shadows the ones before were

really really good so I mean I don't know how they could make them any better

so I'm curious to see oh that's really pigmented even for a transition shade

you sometimes you put those like light

peachy transition shades in the crease and they're just so like see-through

nope this is like really pigmented and they're not ultra powdery like there's

not an intense amount of kickback on the actual pan I'm curious to see the

formula of these shadows because I know sometimes when to face releases like

collections sometimes they lack on the quality of the eyeshadow palettes so I

guess we'll see I'm gonna use this shade desert vibes and I'm just going to apply

that on the outer corner really pack it on hmm so it doesn't seem extremely

pigmented like I have dipped in three times and I've picked up quite a bit of

product and I'm just getting like this nice medium wash yeah definitely not

pigmented so since that shade wasn't working well for me I'm gonna take this

shade from the Make Up For Ever palette pack that on oh yeah more pigmented for

sure and I'm barely like I didn't pick up nearly as much so now I want to pick

up this really beautiful matte green shade rule that seems pigment there and

I just want to carry this into the crease a little bit but maybe I'll carry

it on this very outer edge so with these two shades mixed together I'm just gonna

go right underneath this a lower lash

and I also want to make sure that that lower lash connects to the upper then

with a more detailed brush I'm gonna take that green and really press it in

so then I am going to pick up some of this shade fireflies wow that is poppin

it's like a lime green just going to use a brush to spread that product around I

want to see what a little bit of this looks like this is called fire in the

Sun wow that is beautiful so I was kind of wanting something more olivey so I

was thinking of trying out this this is the Maybelline Color tattoo I Chrome and

this is in the shade khaki cool so I think I'm actually gonna apply directly

to a brush see how that applies it I am gonna go

over what I already have but then I'm gonna reapply the to face shadow Wow

so taking that to face fire in the Sun again I'm just gonna apply that on the

inner portion and it's going to create a beautiful ombre effect this is the Urban

Decay heavy metal glitter thingy in the shade Midnight Cowboy which is a really

nice like champagne but it can pull kind of pewter kind of all of you almost so I

am just gonna sprinkle that right all over but I totally like sprinkle it I

don't want it to be like super full coverage or anything so because I just

really want to test this out this is the Too Faced rainbow strobe rainbow effect

highlighter and it's literally a rainbow so pretty I think I'm going to take this

beautiful shade right here and just pop that in the inner corner and also kind

of make it ombre and fade in wow these are super sparkly and glittery so pretty

oh my god you guys this is beautiful now I would buy this not to like you use it

as literally a rainbow highlighter but these are beautiful as eyeshadows like

they're so sparkly and they're almost work as like a little bit of a topper

but there's oh my god they're so beautiful like I don't know if you can

really I'm gonna bring it down even more so there is a new benefit mascara that

they just launched this is the bad gal bang the packaging is so super cool and

me and my sister were like foaming at the wand like it looks so nice so let's

go ahead and test this out oh wow okay benefit woah okay you get such

great volume and length with this but it really separates the lashes like it's

not an overly spidery and clumpy so I am gonna pop on some falsies off-camera but

before we do that I want to finish the lips and I also have

really cool two-faced festival refresh mystical effects setting a refreshing

spray so this just looks really cool let's shake this up a little bit let's

test this out oh it smells really good so dose of colors came out with all

these new glosses and you guys I was literally like drooling because all the

colors are so beautiful of course I'm obsessed with the nudes I

don't even know what I'm gonna try today okay woah I just realized that that

two-faced spray just left so many specks and dots all over my face it kind of

like ruined my makeup and it feels kind of heavy on the skin that two-faced

spray so I'm gonna take the NYX natural lip liner and just line my lips first

before I put the gloss on

so first I think I'm gonna try out the shade honey I'm home which is a really

nice pale nude and if it's too pale and mix it in with another one oh no that is

not too pale for me mmm honey honey I'm home that is beautiful

okay so it is a tad bit too pale I am gonna mix it in with the shade on repeat

mmm the formula is really nice you guys like super smooth

Wow glides on really nicely super smooth not sticky or tacky so that is it you

guys that completes the full face of first impressions I am absolutely

obsessed with this gloss combo you guys the color looks amazing but the formula

is so bomb too so I highly recommend it for you guys also I know I'm probably

gonna get some questions on my sweater it's super comfy I really love it so I

will leave a link down below if I can still find it cuz I know far between one

sells out really quickly that is pretty much it I hope you guys enjoyed watching

toothpaste unicorn collection the new chart foundation which we'll touch on so

the first thing I'm gonna do is prime my skin just because I well I do have a new

primer to try but whenever I try a new foundation I like to try it with a

primer that I already know and that I love so I mentioned to you guys we are

going to be testing out the new heart-shaped tape foundation now I know

this foundation has had a lot of talk surrounding it so I asked you guys on

Twitter and on snapchat if you wanted to even see me review this foundation a lot

of you guys said no and a lot of you guys said yes I literally did a poll on

Twitter and I think it was literally like 49% and 52% yes

49% No so it was just very conflicting a lot of you guys said no don't give it

any attention but then a lot of you guys said yes it needs to be talked about

this is an issue that needs to be addressed and I kind of agree with that

at first I was kind of like yeah not even dipping into that pool I'm not even

gonna bother with them but then I was like honestly if none of us like I feel

like if everyone doesn't come together and speak out then we're not addressing

the issue we're just sweeping it under the rug

so ultimately I decided to just not do a whole video on it you know but just

really include it in this first impression and touch on the issue so if

you guys are unfamiliar Tarte released the new taste shape tape foundation

which we all love the concealer like it is legendary at this point it's so good

so we were just so excited to see the foundation even I was like when it first

dropped on trend mood and I saw that photo I got so excited you guys I didn't

even bother seeing how many shades were released I didn't even bother checking

if those were all the shades I was like bull lion did because I was so excited

that I was like oh my god I can't wait like I'm so excited I'm so ready for

this but then once that hype died down I was like wait those are like those are

literally all the shades they released there's literally like 85% fair light

medium shades and then like 10 15 % deep shades to me it's like it's 2018 we got

to step it up as a a community and really make these brands

accountable because this is the thing is like this is tarah is not the first

brand to do this so tart did release a little statement saying that they kind

of rushed the process and they ended up releasing whatever shades they had and

some of the deeper shades got left out so you know who knows if that's true or

if that's just kind of an excuse they made up we don't know right all we could

hope for is that they do better and it looks like they have released some more

shades and that there will be more to come but regardless a lot of you guys

still wanted me to try the formula because this is such an epic like launch

you know like we were so excited for it but I have the shades tan honey here and

the shades medium tan so I guess we're gonna see how those two work for me

those are the matte one now they also released the hydrating one which the

hydrating one is in the shade tan sand which I feel like would match me more

because I think it's more warm whereas I think this is more neutral but I might

have to just pull off the neutral because I think you guys really want to

see me try out the matte so I really like how it has a doe foot applicator

just like the concealer like I really like that about it but I am just gonna

go ahead who that's going to be a bit too dark but I am gonna mix in a little

bit of medium tan honey let's see how this blends out I feel like this shade

is going to be a little bit to oranjee but I always have that problem with the

Tarte foundation shades like I always find them a bit too orange II they never

have like that nice olive golden undertone you know what you guys this

actually feels like as if it were the shape tape concealer like in a

foundation and this feels like that leak it actually blended out really nicely

even though it's still mat god I really hope they I really hope they get this

shade situation situated I think I'm really liking the formula of this but I

don't even think there's a shade in this range that would match me nicely I was

honestly really shocked to find out that Tarte like such a big brand like just a

brand that is so big works with so many influencers would honestly really not

include deeper shades in their initial release to be honest I'm more

disappointed and just shocked in Tarte as a brand that they would even think

that that's remotely like Oh okay even if the deeper shades weren't

ready yet like the fact that they thought it was okay to like release them

afterwards I'm really disappointed in them as a brand like I wasn't expecting

this from them I really actually liked art as a brand so I think I'm more

disappointed than anything you know when you don't expect something from someone

and they and then they just do some here just like oh oh I see Oh true colors

literally I actually really like how this foundation is blending out you guys

it blends out nicely it's nice and matte but it doesn't feel or look cakey to be

honest with you guys I really feel like this is the Tarte shaped ape concealer

in a foundation I'm excited to try out the hydrating one let me know if you

guys want to see this in the next full face of person first impression and I

will do that I'm not noticing its settling into any lines even Mike the

crease of my eyes sometimes foundation will kind of settle in those areas and

it's not doing that at all no smile lines

nothing it's actually looking super smooth flawless so I don't have a new

concealer to try so I'm just going to take some of the Tarte shaped tape in

light medium so I'm gonna go into some cream a bronzing real quick because I

have some powder bronzers and the Too Faced unicorn collection to test out for

you guys so I will be right back so before we get into the Too Faced

collection I want to go ahead and test out this L'Oreal bronzer actually just

received this in the mail this is the pro glow long-wear bronzer in the shade

28 cocoa so I thought this looked really cool because it has a bronzer up here

and a highlighter over here I don't know if you're supposed to use them

separately or if you're supposed to mix them but I kind of feel like this I

don't know it's just like a sheer topper so I feel like you're supposed to mix

them and just get like a luminous bronze yeah Demi glow finish so it seems like

you're supposed to mix them or you could use them separately whatever oh it does

really pretty it's not ultra pigmented which is nice sometimes you don't need

like a super pigmented bronzer I'm also going to apply some all over the chest

okay so I actually bought the rainbow highlighter from Too Faced which I'm

really excited for because it has this really pretty bronzy Goldy strip right

there but I also have the new amrezy hi letter which I know you guys are dying

for me to try so we're going to try this out too

on the face but maybe I can test this out still maybe on the eyes we'll see

cuz I really I don't know it smells good and they packet again so pretty but this

though the amrezy Anastacio highlight like hello oh you guys are you not

living for this though hmm okay so the formula is a little bit like the make up

forevers profusion highlights where you kind of have to scrape at it a little

bit just to get it but not quite like you don't have to scrape fully but it's

definitely not powder it's like pressed oh oh it's definitely pigmented like I

feel like I put too much on Wow super pigmented they definitely made this

formula like that wet look on its own without even having to wet it so I also

got this really cool two-faced unicorn tears bronzer in I think they call this

a bronzer what is it yeah iridescent mystical bronzer but what I'm

gonna do is use this as a blush because when you swatch it I just feel like it's

just too shiny as a bronzer so I'm gonna use it as like a little bit of a blusher

just pop that right in the middle well that's actually nice does give you like

a little bit that extra bronze so for brows I actually have this new kiss top

brow pencil in the shade deep dark brown so it's actually gliding on really

nicely like the way it applies on the skin it just kind of smoothes on which

is really nice so for the eyes we have this really fun

unicorn palette by Too Faced this is the - one name of it is life's a festival so

it actually looks really pretty I'm really interested in these type of green

shades I guess we'll see what we'll go for today but make up forevers also sent

me some of their new single shadows and they got me to pick out my shades so I

decided to go for this and this is the little palette that I created I will

leave the shade names down below for you guys I am really curious to see the

formula of these because these make up forevers shadows the ones before were

really really good so I mean I don't know how they could make them any better

so I'm curious to see oh that's really pigmented even for a transition shade

you sometimes you put those like light

peachy transition shades in the crease and they're just so like see-through

nope this is like really pigmented and they're not ultra powdery like there's

not an intense amount of kickback on the actual pan I'm curious to see the

formula of these shadows because I know sometimes when to face releases like

collections sometimes they lack on the quality of the eyeshadow palettes so I

guess we'll see I'm gonna use this shade desert vibes and I'm just going to apply

that on the outer corner really pack it on hmm so it doesn't seem extremely

pigmented like I have dipped in three times and I've picked up quite a bit of

product and I'm just getting like this nice medium wash yeah definitely not

pigmented so since that shade wasn't working well for me I'm gonna take this

shade from the Make Up For Ever palette pack that on oh yeah more pigmented for

sure and I'm barely like I didn't pick up nearly as much so now I want to pick

up this really beautiful matte green shade rule that seems pigment there and

I just want to carry this into the crease a little bit but maybe I'll carry

it on this very outer edge so with these two shades mixed together I'm just gonna

go right underneath this a lower lash

and I also want to make sure that that lower lash connects to the upper then

with a more detailed brush I'm gonna take that green and really press it in

so then I am going to pick up some of this shade fireflies wow that is poppin

it's like a lime green just going to use a brush to spread that product around I

want to see what a little bit of this looks like this is called fire in the

Sun wow that is beautiful so I was kind of wanting something more olivey so I

was thinking of trying out this this is the Maybelline Color tattoo I Chrome and

this is in the shade khaki cool so I think I'm actually gonna apply directly

to a brush see how that applies it I am gonna go

over what I already have but then I'm gonna reapply the to face shadow Wow

so taking that to face fire in the Sun again I'm just gonna apply that on the

inner portion and it's going to create a beautiful ombre effect this is the Urban

Decay heavy metal glitter thingy in the shade Midnight Cowboy which is a really

nice like champagne but it can pull kind of pewter kind of all of you almost so I

am just gonna sprinkle that right all over but I totally like sprinkle it I

don't want it to be like super full coverage or anything so because I just

really want to test this out this is the Too Faced rainbow strobe rainbow effect

highlighter and it's literally a rainbow so pretty I think I'm going to take this

beautiful shade right here and just pop that in the inner corner and also kind

of make it ombre and fade in wow these are super sparkly and glittery so pretty

oh my god you guys this is beautiful now I would buy this not to like you use it

as literally a rainbow highlighter but these are beautiful as eyeshadows like

they're so sparkly and they're almost work as like a little bit of a topper

but there's oh my god they're so beautiful like I don't know if you can

really I'm gonna bring it down even more so there is a new benefit mascara that

they just launched this is the bad gal bang the packaging is so super cool and

me and my sister were like foaming at the wand like it looks so nice so let's

go ahead and test this out oh wow okay benefit woah okay you get such

great volume and length with this but it really separates the lashes like it's

not an overly spidery and clumpy so I am gonna pop on some falsies off-camera but

before we do that I want to finish the lips and I also have

really cool two-faced festival refresh mystical effects setting a refreshing

spray so this just looks really cool let's shake this up a little bit let's

test this out oh it smells really good so dose of colors came out with all

these new glosses and you guys I was literally like drooling because all the

colors are so beautiful of course I'm obsessed with the nudes I

don't even know what I'm gonna try today okay woah I just realized that that

two-faced spray just left so many specks and dots all over my face it kind of

like ruined my makeup and it feels kind of heavy on the skin that two-faced

spray so I'm gonna take the NYX natural lip liner and just line my lips first

before I put the gloss on

so first I think I'm gonna try out the shade honey I'm home which is a really

nice pale nude and if it's too pale and mix it in with another one oh no that is

not too pale for me mmm honey honey I'm home that is beautiful

okay so it is a tad bit too pale I am gonna mix it in with the shade on repeat

mmm the formula is really nice you guys like super smooth

Wow glides on really nicely super smooth not sticky or tacky so that is it you

guys that completes the full face of first impressions I am absolutely

obsessed with this gloss combo you guys the color looks amazing but the formula

is so bomb too so I highly recommend it for you guys also I know I'm probably

gonna get some questions on my sweater it's super comfy I really love it so I

will leave a link down below if I can still find it cuz I know far between one

Random Haul featuring Sugarpill x Little Twin Stars collaboration - Duration: 7:28.

hey everyone welcome back to my channel I hope you're having a wonderful day if

you like beauty videos please hit that subscribe button and if you're

interested in seeing my random haul please keep watching this is the most

random collection of stuff that I want to show you so let's get into it the

first article of randomness that I have is the stuff that I ordered from rituals

and this is a replacement for my favoritest of favorites the their hand

scrub they have since changed the packaging but I literally love this hand

scrub and i got some extras cuz it was on sale and when it's on sale I

always worry I'm like is this just a sale or are they discontinuing it? I

know they did change the packaging but is it just not selling well I don't want

it to go away so I bought extras and I bought one for you guys so my next

giveaway I'm definitely giving away one of these my favoritest of hand scrubs

and then you will also fall in love with it then I got this refreshing foaming

shower gel I've used rituals shower gels before I have one in my shower right now

they're really really really really really really really well scented so if

you like a powerful scent you're gonna like these I personally do like a

powerful scent but if you're sensitive to scents you may not enjoy it but I really

like it and it's this one smells like eucalyptus and rosemary and I like both

of those things so I am excited to give this a try the next couple of things are

literally just hair accessories I got these at Claire's and I just thought

this was so cute in the store I have zero clue how I'm going to use this I'm

probably gonna have to like go to their website and like ask customer service

how to put that in my hair and then this one I'm kind of more clear this one

actually did come with instructions so I'm pretty sure I can figure out how to

use that one but they're just so pretty they have like all these like sparklies

on them and I like sparklies the next articles I got were from

lululemon you guys know I love lululemon as evidenced by my website which is

basically like fan girling out half the time and then saying you can do better

the other half of the time it's mostly fangirling I love swiftlies this color

is called black cherry so in the winter I tend to wear them a lot I'll because

they're long sleeves but then I can wear like a vest over it and I think that

looks super cute the next item is also from Lululemon these are the run Rulu

Run pants in nocturnal teal I wasn't gonna buy these like all my blog I was

like oh it says three-quarter length I don't want a rule ooh ie warm pant in a

three-quarter length I want it in a full length because it is cold outside so I

was on my blog and I was like I don't know maybe I'll try them if they go on

sale they did go on sale I did try them and they are totally

full-length on me I'm 5/5 for reference if you're like

five five five six like me you will have zero problems with these they should go

all the way to the ground for you but I guess if you are like 5 9 or 510 they

might be a little short on you I had zero issues I'm very happy that these

pants were the correct length roomy and now I have another Rulu pant in my

collection and all is right with the world

the next random haul item I have is this like glam glow set from Dillard's and it

has the original glam glow which is why I bought it and it was like 50 dollars

and you get a full-size and normally this full-size is 70 so I bought that

just for the full size and then I got three tester sizes and these actually

last a while I've used up a couple of these tester sizes and you get like

three or four uses out of them so I'm really happy about that like I I have

paid full price for this it really is a great mask their original is awesome so

it's kind of hard for me to bite that $70 bullet when I do purchase it so if I can

get it for 50 and then get like three little sample sizes as

well then that's a lot better the next randomness in this haul is just

something I have to share with you guys because I just got it an obsessed I'm

obsessed with it

I'm so excited about this because I really really want this channel to have

lots of indie makeup on it and I didn't love all of the shades from the Devinah

cosmetics lines see my review and I am so excited because I absolutely love

everything in this collection so far I just purchased the sugar pill by

little twin stars collection this is the palette and it came with two liquid

lipsticks and this really cute little makeup bag that's adorable

and I absolutely love it so cute and it fits everything inside its really

adorable and it came in this like really swanky box it's so pretty

so here is the palette and I'll show you the swatches like looking at the

viewfinder to see if you can see them and I'm like why can't my arm spin there

we go that's better so I'm just gonna hold my arm like this okay so the first

one is called a cloud maker the next one is star ribbon the gold there is

twinkle-twinkle then is dream dust which you can't really see that well it's like

there-ish and then the next one is sky candy and after that is wish and I am

wearing these shades on my eyes today and I'm very pleased with their

performance so far and then here the liquid lipsticks and they smell amazing

just FYI here are the swatches so the pink one is

la la and the blue one is Kiki and today I am wearing la la on my lips I am gonna

be doing a full review on this makeup collection so if you're interested in

2019 AUDI A7 FIRST DRIVE: SOUTH AFRICAN SOUNDTRACK

I was heading down a narrow, craggy lane outside of Cape Town, South Africa, when we approached

a group of children walking along its dry grassy edge.

I slowed.

They were maybe 10 or 11 years old, dressed in a palette of primary colors – yellow

or green shirts; red or blue pants; I guess they'd just gotten out of school.

Turning around, they glanced at us in the rolling black-grilled, laser-headlighted,

hulking electric-blue 2019 Audi A7 and instinctively spilled into our path, loping into a sort

of spontaneous dance.

"Jeez, I don't want to hit anybody," I murmured to my co-pilot, AUTOMOBILE's

Rory Jurnecka, braking to inch through them.

Just like that, smiling faces filled the side windows as they patted the fenders, laughing

and waving.

"This looks like an Audi commercial," I joked to Rory.

With a nervous foot covering the brake pedal, we were all waving; the exuberance was contagious.

Awhile back, I re-listened to Paul Simon's Graceland, and honestly, it seems like half

this country is still swaying to Simon's soundtrack.In Southern California, where I'm

from (and until now, thought was pretty laid back), you'd have to toss free iPhone X's

out of the A7's windows for kids to flood onto Pacific Coast Highway like this.

But 55-year-old men thumbing the corner of an $85,000 stack of bills are the epicenter

of the A7 buyer demographic.

Trust me, they'll be lowering their copies of The Wall Street Journal at sun-drenched

Starbucks tables from Malibu to Montauk when this thing flashes past.

Back in 2012, it was the original A7's long-arc, four-door fastback silhouette that gained

notice.

That's blasé now.

Six years later (actually, nearly seven when the 2019 A7 finally hits the U.S. dealers

this fall), what'll attract attention are this four-door hatch's razor-like bodywork

creases.

Creases?

The A7's wardrobe seems to have been sent to the cleaners for heavy-starch pressing.

The sun seems to paint its lines from almost any angle, and the trick to it finally occurs

to you when you look closely and run your fingers back and forth over their surfaces.

Many aren't simple edges; where the metal bends, it overshoots a tiny bit before spilling

into the next panel.

As you walk around the car, sunlight doesn't just briefly glint, it lingers there as you

move.

I wonder if those kids were feeling it, too.Up front, the 2019 A7 is fat, melted-down, techno-aggressive

and appears to be, well, completely pissed-off.

Small, black-plastic bricks nestled into either side of the egg-crate grill house either radar

or Lidar (used for parking); the headlights are either baseline LEDs, matrix LEDs, or

the as-pictured laser-based LEDs (which will require legislation to pass before for U.S.-legal).

A passing A7 tells a quick, Tweet-length story of emotions as it goes by: First, that fearsome

face, then a flowing profile like a gently tapering flag, then a quiet kiss goodbye from

its thin, simple taillights.

Tension built, tension resolved.

Unlock the doors and the front and rear lighting puts on a brief little show; tap the turn-signal

and red light sweeps laterally across the rear bezels (though it's another lighting

effect that awaits U.S. approval).

Like all the rest of the bodywork's tight-fitting apertures, the hood is demarked by pencil-line

panel gaps.

It's light to lift—aluminum support by struts (how feeble are we?) and behold—a

340-hp, 369 lb-ft 3.0-liter V-6, topped by an in-the-vee twin-scroll single turbo; it's

the new A8's base engine, and here, the 2019 A7's singular choice.

But it brings a twist to this engine bay: Cradled under its right cylinder bank is a

belt-drive electric motor that elevates this to 48-volt, mild-hybrid status.

It doesn't add any propulsion, but instead, super-quick stop-start, and brake regeneration

to harvest otherwise wasted heat (cabled to a small lithium-ion battery beneath the cargo

floor).

This is a quiet, silky powertrain that's potent when you lean on it, while paddle-shifting

through its 7-speed dual-clutched gears like snapping your fingers after eating buttered

popcorn.

Audi claims a 0-62 of 5.3 seconds.

Anecdotally, it feels at least that quick.

OK, so I'm going to now take off my hat, hold it over my heart and publicly request

one thing from Audi's product planners.

Step around next to the front wheel – see how the bulk of it is ahead of the front axle

line?

It's a hallmark of Audi drivetrains and basically it makes them arrows with very-heavy

arrowheads, reticent to turn-in at the limit.

When I drive the figure-eight test with these cars, I deliberately brake in a straight line,

fully compress the front suspension so the nose is sniffing the asphalt, and then all

at once, pop off the brake pedal and turn-in to maximize its brief, wormhole access to

front-end bite.

Neglect to perform this task and … it's a one-way ticket to Understeerland.Anyway,

back here—as we walk past the all-new platform (that will reappear on the next A6) and its

standard AWD (sans a torque-vectoring rear axle) – is The Solution.

Every car in our Cape Town fleet was fitted with active rear-steer operated by an electric

motor manipulating rear toe links.

Bewilderingly, Audi hasn't decided whether it'll be available on the U.S. A7s.

Memo to Audi product planners: Put this setup on everything, because it's transformative.

At lower speeds, the front and rear wheel angles are in opposite-phase, the car's

turning circle noticeably contracts.

At higher speeds, they same-steer for better stability and creatively intervene if the

car gets out of shape.

Abetted by the variable-ratio steering, the car's bite into corners seems noticeably

hungrier, yet its stepped-up pace on Cape Town's often rough roads was generally well

concealed by the busy air springs and adaptive shocks.

Unlike the new A8, the hatch's rears springs and shocks are separated to widen the cargo

floor (which expands forward at the same level when the rear seat back is folded).

Mental note to tall passengers: Even after several quick scrambles in and out of the

back seat, the hat atop my six-foot-one frame never so much as brushed the sloping door

opening.Inside, there's enough rear legroom to launch an annoying kick into the front

seatback (except, of course, for the unfortunate tunnel-straddler in the middle).

Ditto sufficient headroom, aft and up front … which is where you confront, in my opinion,

the new A7's single most significant thing – its two-tier, MMI touchscreens.

Remember when driving a German sedan meant always reaching your right hand down and spinning

a big rotary knob (and usually bewildered by what it's doing)?

As with the A8 (and presumably, the new A6), the Audi's slick virtual cockpit instrument

display is matched by two center-stack displays, the upper one for infotainment, navigation

and such, the lower one for climate control and other sundry functions.

Both are haptic (with adjustable sensitivity) with audio confirmations; the lower one being

particularly easy to interface with a finger because your wrist rests on the shifter.

You have to give Audi credit for what it's done here.

The lower screen's search-by-cursive-text-recognition is great (again, that steadied right wrist

is crucial); its natural-language voice recognition is sourced by both onboard and cloud-based

computing.

There's an easy-to-assign row of short-cut icons, and even some degree of customization

by holding an icon, then placing it—a behavior we've learned from smartphones.

All that's great, but I need a lot more time in my time-zone with less jetlag and

more cappuccinos, before passing too much judgment.

But.On our first day in Cape Town, Rory and I set out on the nav-guided loop only to be

halted by a closed road (due to high wind; who's ever heard of that?).

We had to turn around.

But after much tapping, and screen finger-writing and dialoging with the voice recognition (all

of which were stymied by the local connectivity issues) I got flustered and started to set-up

CarPlay instead.

Then an Audi helper came to our rescue, reached in and tapped the way back to the hotel.

OK, so we're unfamiliar with the system.

But.

Being jet-lagged, geographically unfamiliar, and connectivity-challenged is exactly the

situation these things should be designed to navigate.

Then there's the user interface: How come the icons are dark and monotone and sometimes

over-designed to the point of being unidentifiable?

There seems to be a compulsion to match the style-standard of the fashionable $85,000

car it's attached to, rather than just being the easiest, friendliest interface to use.

But.ou can have both.

The Cape Town hotel Audi stashed us was the Radisson Red.

It's close to the swank marina, and is trendy and uber-cool inside – a conscious pick

to complement to the fashionable A7.

On my departure day, I went down for breakfast and was startled by the server's grin, asking,

"How'd you sleep last night?

Rested?

So, my friend, what would you like for breakfast?"

I blanched.

Then smiled.

Design and smile-making communication, intertwined.

Maybe all automotive interface engineers should spend some time in chic-yet-friendly Cape

Town hotels.

They'd learn something.
