What Are the Signs of PTSD? - Duration: 5:42.- Post-traumatic stress disorder,
or PTSD, will affect some eight million Americans this year.
This is one story.
- My name is India.
I proudly served our country
in the United States Marine Corps and the United States Navy
from 1981 until I was medically retired last year, 2017.
I served seven tours in the Middle East.
And during that time,
I sustained a lot of physical injuries,
but it wasn't just the physical trauma that affected me.
I think the worst I came home with
was with post-traumatic stress disorder.
The memories of war haunt me to this day.
They cause night terrors, flashbacks.
Flashbacks to a point where I can smell the carbon.
I was very angry at everything and anything,
so I lost a lot of friends and family,
and I just lost me.
At first, I didn't wanna accept
that I had anything wrong with me.
I tried to control it, suppress it, but it just ...
It's taken over my life.
If anyone is experiencing PTSD
or any of this,
you have to get help.
Otherwise, you're gonna go through years of hell,
for no reason.
- India's story is just one example of how and why
a person may suffer from PTSD.
Dr. Freda Lewis-Hall, the chief medical officer of Pfizer
is back to help us explore
this often-misunderstood condition, welcome back.
- Thank you.
(applauding)
PTSD is a potentially debilitating mental condition
that occurs in people who have experienced
or witnessed a traumatic event.
Now, many people only associate PTSD
with military combat, as in India's case.
And of course, we know that war experiences
can really have a lifelong impact on a person.
- But PTSD can affect anyone who has seen
or lived through any traumatic event.
It can include an accident, a natural disaster,
a serious illness, assault or rape,
or the sudden death of a loved one, as an example.
- And you know Dr. Travis,
that's why we're really talking about this today.
I mean, think about the news,
every day a disaster that people are dealing with.
So this is really an important time to talk about it.
A new study has shown us that 20% of people
who are diagnosed with breast cancer
develop PTSD within six months of their diagnosis.
And a lot of people think of PTSD as a man's disease.
Turns out, that in general,
women are twice as likely to develop PTSD.
That means about 10% of women will go on to develop PTSD
at some time in their lives,
and that's compared to about 4% of men.
- It is important, of course, to make the distinction
between PTSD versus the acute stress reaction
that may follow a traumatic event.
For a true PTSD diagnosis, symptoms must last
more than one month.
And these symptoms usually begin
within three months after the traumatic event.
But here's the thing,
they can often show up years later.
So Dr. Freda, let's talk about
some of the most common symptoms of PTSD.
- You can kind of categorize them in four types,
so the first is re-experiencing.
You heard India talk about flashbacks, bad dreams.
The second is avoidance.
People who have PTSD, tend to avoid things, places,
even thoughts that might remind them of the traumatic event.
The third is arousal and reactivity.
Now that really points to being easily startled
or feeling on edge a lot,
having difficulty sleeping, or having angry outbursts.
And then last, but not least, is cognition,
or thinking, and mood.
Some people say
they have a difficult time remembering things,
and/or they may be experiencing low mood, sadness,
and sometimes guilt.
- And let's not forget that PTSD
can be really hard on children.
Youngsters may stop talking,
constantly act out the scary event, wet the bed,
or become unusually clingy with a parent
as a result of some traumatic event.
The good news is PTSD can be treated
and managed with therapy, medications,
and self-empowerment strategies.
Companion animals, as an example,
may help soothe some of the symptoms.
So if you think you or a loved one may have PTSD,
do talk to your healthcare practitioner.
They can determine if the symptoms are due to PTSD
or potentially something else.
- You do not have to suffer with this alone.
There is so much help available.
There are community organizations, veterans groups.
There are organizations that pull together people
where they have similar traumas
and understand the nature of this condition.
And they stand ready to help as well.
And we've pulled together some information
and some resources on GetHealtyStayHealty.com.
And so people can go there for that information.
And while they're there,
they can sign up for our monthly newsletter.
- Well thank you Dr. Freda.
I should say-- - Thank you.
(applauding)
- [Dr. Travis] We are certainly grateful to you, India,
for your service to our country
and for sharing your story with us.

New Yorker investigation into Trump affair finds system of 'silencing women' - Duration: 4:35.JUDY WOODRUFF: And now to President Trump and a new story "The New Yorker" magazine
published this morning.
It details a Playboy model's allegation that she and Mr. Trump had an extramarital affair
more than a decade ago.
It also highlights extensive efforts, including contracts and payments, to keep stories out
of the press.
Ronan Farrow wrote the story.
And he joins me again from New York.
Ronan, welcome back to the program.
RONAN FARROW, "The New Yorker": Good to be here, Judy.
JUDY WOODRUFF: There have been allegations out -- thank you.
There have been allegations out there about the president.
He has denied all of them.
How is your reporting different?
RONAN FARROW: You know, I think that this is important on two levels.
One is that there is now a proliferation of stories, Judy, and between them commonalities,
shared locations, shared tactics.
Karen McDougal, the individual described in this story, in her chronicle of this affair,
talks about being offered money, something that appears in numerous stories, that after
sex she was offered a payment, and declined that.
She talks about the same locations that a lot of these affairs took place in.
She talked about, in fact, some of that sexual activity taking place at shared events between
her story and, for instance, the account of Stormy Daniels.
So, this provides corroboration for a number of these stories.
But more important is the factor that you mentioned earlier, which is that this is also
about a system that was in place, Judy, a way of silencing women through trusted intermediaries
in the tabloid world, these secret payouts, and secret meetings enforced by bodyguards.
This was a well-oiled machine.
JUDY WOODRUFF: And explain how that works.
And it stems, in part from the friendship, the close friendship, the president has with
a man named David Pecker, who is the head of a media organization that owns "The National
Enquirer," is that right?
RONAN FARROW: There is a term in the tabloid industry called catch and kill, which is where
a company like AMI, this tabloid media company that you just referred to, acquires a story
with the intention to bury it, not to run it.
Now, it's important to note AMI had ample opportunity to comment on the story, and has
said: We didn't run the story after acquiring the rights to it because we didn't find it
credible.
But the accounts of numerous former AMI employees contradict that.
They say that was a regular used by David Pecker, the head of that organization that
you just mentioned, and that, in this case, it was used to the benefit of his friend Donald
Trump.
JUDY WOODRUFF: And it's pretty clear that they didn't want this accomplished.
And I assume they were contacting you, doing whatever they could to prevent you from writing
about it?
RONAN FARROW: You know, I will refer you to what we report in the piece, you know, which
certainly does suggest that they take a different view of events from the one that we report.
JUDY WOODRUFF: So why is Karen McDougal, the woman you talked about, why is she talking
now?
RONAN FARROW: You know, she remains terrified of legal retaliation.
She was very careful about what she said.
Her present-day on-the-record comments are largely about the business relationship with
AMI, because she is still afraid to talk about the underlying affair.
She said, I don't know exactly what I can and can't say.
There is a clause in this contract that could force her into a secret arbitration process,
which she was very frightened of.
But she said that, over the past year, she's witnessed woman after woman come forward to
describe ways in which powerful men silence women with stories about them, that while
she was describing a consensual affair, she was inspired by those women to come forward
to illustrate the cost of silence and perhaps inspire others to speak.
JUDY WOODRUFF: And where do you think this goes from here?
RONAN FARROW: I have been asked often, does a story like this have any chance of moving
the needle, since we seem to be inundated with stories of is this kind, of scandal,
you know, that have shaken, I think, people's confidence in a lot of institutions.
It's not my job to say whether a story like this is capable of moving the needle, but
I can certainly say that that last message from Karen McDougal, that signing up for silence
in this way and assisting in hiding a story like this before an election can weigh heavily
after the fact.
And I certainly hope that other women, faced with that decision -- and we know now that
there were others after the Stormy Daniels revelations -- you know, weigh that lesson
carefully.
JUDY WOODRUFF: Certainly a lot of detail here.
And, Ronan Farrow, we thank you very much for talking with us.
RONAN FARROW: Thank you, Judy.

Survivors of the Florida School Shooting Speak Out | NYT - Duration: 2:12.I sit in these classrooms every day.
So it's just like, how can something happen like this?
It was like, about 20 minutes before school was supposed to end.
I think it's just kind of crazy
how fast it happened.
It didn't really seem real as it was going on.
I just have this sick feeling in my gut
that all that had to happen.
And it's starting to feel more and more real.
It's really different when you see something in the news
and rather than seeing it happen at your school.
Because it happened somewhere so close to home
that it became more of a reality for me.
I'm all for freedom, but there's a difference
between freedom and being safe.
This shouldn't happen to anyone else.
Like, this has to be the last, or one of the last,
school shootings in the United States.
I want everyone to come together and put differences
aside and realize that we need to do something about this,
because kids are dying.
I am upset.
But I'm like, using that to talk about gun control
and to talk about what happened.
We should get the word out, speak our minds, because that's
pretty much all we have at this point is our words and ...
People always say things after shootings.
They talk about gun control and they
talk about how things need to change.
But nothing ever does and that's what's so frustrating.
I want them to stop saying that they're
giving us their prayers because that's not
going to do anything for us.
We need action.
It's time to put petty things aside
about partisanship
and it's time to think about humanity.
People are just expecting to see it on the news.
And we should not expect this.
This should not be normal.

Donate through our PayPal.Me in the link in the description below.
Hello everyone, and welcome to, 'The Murder Miners Podcast'.
I am your host UnIden7iFieD, aka Anthony Neves, and I thank you for joining me.
In today's episode of, 'The Murder Miners Podcast',
I'd like to talk about the latest update for 'Murder Miners 1' released by JForce Games,
the new spin-off series game 'Super Clash Bros.' and the potential future it may or may not have,
and also the future release date for 'Murder Miners X' which has been leaked by one of the developers...
Supposedly. But with that being said,
before we get into the news I'd also like to make a quick explanation as to why I've been gone for over a year.
I'm sure you have a lot of questions, but hopefully this explanation that I've prepared for all of you,
will help to satisfy and help you to understand what has been going on.
So with that being said don't go anywhere because this is, 'The Murder Miners Podcast'.
Now bear with me here for a second.
I know that it's been over a year since I last made an episode of, 'The Murder Miners Podcast'.
And I know that another proper explanation is due for all of you, my faithful audience.
So, I'm gonna try to briefly explain this, as simply as possible,
with all the information you're going to need to understand what has been going on.
So there have been multiple scenarios that had occurred over the past year in my life.
For instance, I've undergone multiple facial surgeries for my nose and my teeth.
I had to basically get some wisdom teeth removed in Brazil,
which I'll explain why was there, in a minute.
And I had to get my nose fixed twice throughout the year because when I was a child, I broke my nose.
And I've been living with my broken nose for 15 years
And now I finally got it fixed and I could attest you that I'm breathing much better.
On top of that besides just the facial surgeries,
I also had to finish my senior year of High School,
and I even spent the majority of my summer in Brazil on vacation afterwards,
(hence the reason why I had my teeth removed in Brazil.)
On top of that, I even began to further my education at my local Community College for a degree in Cyber-Security.
And I'm still furthering my education, I'm still attending the college, and I'm still full-time.
Now don't get me wrong, this explanation does help to clear up my reasons for my absence on this platform
But it doesn't necessarily justify the fact that I've also been procrastinating in working on this podcast,
When I have the time available, as well as for other videos and also in other areas of my life,
that aren't even affected by this platform.
Procrastination has been a major part of my life that does affect my performance both on this platform and in my life.
And hopefully, this will be the year that changes all of that.
So I hope you can understand my reasons for my absence. I tried to make this explanation shorter.
Hopefully that means I no longer have to keep making all these random explanations as to why I've been gone.
So now we can finally just get into the news and enjoy the podcast for what it is.
So with that being said, let's get right into the news.
Keemstar, don't sue me on that, okay? I'm not trying to copy you.
Please?
So our first story is on the latest PC update for 'Murder Miners 1'.
Update 25 brings with it many bug fixes and ingame modifications to current and available features.
Some notable fixes include, the 'You Have Been Booted' error went joining a match.
It doesn't help if the kids still hate you. Too many 12 year-olds play the game.
Maybe you should add an age restriction to the boot button.
I don't know, did you think about that?
A new spawn timer for Murder The Flag and other game modes.
Okay, that's pretty cool. What else you got?
Nerfed AI Zombies! Including lowered damage and a delay after attacking.
Well thank God for that! I always get a heart attack when I play with them.
They either don't show up or they jump and attack you out of nowhere.
Why'd it take you so long?
Other patches include less ammo usage on the Miner Gun in Building Mode, as well as a slowdown in the Miner Gun's blaster projectile,
with increased damage at lower charge levels.
Now you can read the rest of the update features by clicking on the link below in the description for more details.
So what are my thoughts on this?
I think it's great to see these little features added and patch from time to time as we have to all realize and understand that
Murder Miners is still a fun game.
It's still a fully functioning game, and it's a complete game to some degree.
But at times it's lower player counts can cause it to be judged by it's cover instead of it's contents, and for good reason.
Considering the fact that Murder Miners is not a single-player based game, but rather a multiplayer focused indie game.
And so by seeing the developers continue to pump out more features and patches into a game,
that is truly aging more and more each day,
it truly amazes me and it brings joy to my little gaming heart.
Besides all that mushy stuff,
it's very necessary to see these patches being pumped out, especially since we as a community still cannot mod the game on our own terms.
So until Murder Miners X is released, until the developers decide to let us mod their game,
(or if both happens),
then it's up to JForce Games to continue to maintain their product,
until one of the aforementioned statements I made just before, comes true.
Speaking of released games!
The first public build of 'Super Clash Bros.' was released on December 24, 2017,
as a kind of Christmas present from JForce Games to it's community.
Now it may not have been what the majority of us have been waiting for or looking for.
But it's truly, interesting.
My thoughts? As I said this game is, interesting.
Just, interesting.
I've tried the game out myself and found it to be a great concept from the devs, it really is!
But, my main concern,
Is how this little side project can affect the future for games like 'Murder Miners X' and for the patches,
and maintenance of 'Murder Miners 1'.
Look it should be noted and realized that 'Murder Miners 1',
from my understanding, was a side project for JForce Games during the development of 'Unstoppable'.
Since then, what has happened? Well, 'Murder Miners' became the front page representative of the company.
It left 'Unstoppable' to be put on an indefinable hold,
until the devs will have time, possibly in the future if ever, to finish the game.
And I'm not saying that 'Super Clash Bros.' will truly end up being the next 'Murder Miners' for JForce Games.
It can easily be taken down by the companyies its conception was inspired by...
I M S O R R Y
If this game takes off really well and the community falls in love with it,
in ways that are similar to the ways that we loved 'Murder Miners 1',
then, from a 'Murder Miners' community standpoint, then we have a problem on our hands.
And let's not forget that even YouTube Gaming found this game to be interesting enough,
to the point that they shared it on their Twitter page back in July.
So the potential is there, it really is.
It's not a bad concept, and it's pretty interesting to see what the devs can do in their spare time.
But for the sake of our game that we're truly hoping for, 'Murder Miners X';
Let's just hope that 'Super Clash Bros.' doesn't overshadow it in the same way 'Murder Miners 1',
overshadowed 'Unstoppable'. Again, the potential is there, but it shouldn't be the main focus,
or turn into the main focus for the community.
They have to learn from the past and focus on finishing one project at a time.
Speaking of 'Murder Miners X'!
We have confirmed/unconfirmed information regarding the release window of the long-awaited sequel,
to 'Murder Miners'. The alpha build for 'Murder Miners X' is now being planned to release in holiday 2018,
/January 2019. If this information holds any merit, and actually comes true,
then this means that 'Murder Miners X' could very well be on its way towards the beta/commercial release status,
within the next year or two.
But what should we expect of a sequel to a game that has no story,
no single-player aspect or focus, a lack of proper multiplayer server support, and little to no modding features?
Well, right off the bat;
It should be very, very clear that the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.
In other words;
We can definitely clear off any possibility of a single-player campaign for MMX. I mean, it's an indie game for God's sakes
I shouldn't expect that much out of a game like this, (although sometimes we should.)
In terms of servers and mods, it would be detrimental,
it would be a detrimental mistake for JForce to fail on the proper integration and implementation,
of proper server hosting support and community mod support.
The community has been very vocal about these two features.
And if JForce wants to make lightning strike twice for them, then they must cooperate in some way shape or form,
with their fans on these two wishes.
The talent is available in this community to make this game more enjoyable and diverse in terms of its features
and functionalities. If we had the opportunity to mod 'Murder Miners 1',
I don't think the player counts would be as low as they are, and you could quote me on that.
You could hold me on that. If you want to say I'm wrong, then why don't you implement it and try it out for yourself.
The developers don't have to carry the load or withhold their game from being given the opportunities to be expanded and redesigned!
By allowing players to modify the game,
'Murder Miners X' can become a truly enjoyable game for any player to pick up and play!
And proper server support will help to ensure,
that I don't have to deal with those pesky 12 year-old kids,
banning me just because I quickscoped one of them in the face. They get triggered and ban me indefinitely.
Seriously. You know how many times they were the only ones hosting a server in the middle of the day on a weekend day,
and I had to play with those kids? Come on, man!
Where's the support on that???
So that's all the main news we can cover this week and with that being said,
let's get into a final word before we close out 'The Murder Miners Podcast'.
For me, making another podcast episode felt great.
You see it helps for me to continue my productivity and passion in this field.
I really enjoy creating videos and seeing the positive and creative feedback from all of you. Whether you enjoyed
or disliked my video or videos that I've made here on 'Work Sleep Repeat Productions',
it all helps me to grow as a content creator and mold my content in a way that improves my creativity and future uploads.
There's a verse actually from the Bible that sums up this concept of
accepting and dealing with criticism, and this is from the book of Proverbs and the chapter is chapter 15 verse 31 (15:31).
And it says,
So in that case I ask that you continue to critique my videos, in honest ways. If you have to be blunt with me on
how you feel, then speak your mind! Be open with how you feel about my work and
by doing this your payout in the end will be made in future uploads where your criticism will help to make me change for the
better, in terms my content or my composure or how I act.
Seriously, don't withhold your criticism even if it's gonna be painful, sometimes
I need to hear something like that. The Truth can hurt at times
but it can also be the most positive and most impactful way for you to reach out to me and
This is it. This has been another episode of 'The Murder Miners Podcast'.

What LIVING in the moment REALLY MEANS! - A Tell All, In Depth interview #LITMWebSeries - Duration: 7:01.- Hi, I'm Alicia Frame and I play Tara Rose.
Hi, I'm Tara.
Tara is your...
typical good girl?
This is such a cute outfit.
- [Man] Thank you so much.
- I love this.
She's got the biggest heart in the world,
she wants everyone to be her friend,
she wants everyone to be happy
and everyone to have a good time.
- My name is Will Goodman, in the web series,
Living in the Moment, I play TJ.
He is a lost boy from Ohio
and he loves music.
He loves to rock out on the guitar and collect records.
I have like, close to 400 records back home.
- Hi, I'm Myriam Raymond and I play Molly
on Living in the Moment.
Molly is a small town girl, she has small town dreams,
she wants to get married, she wants to start a family.
We're supposed to move in together, what do you mean?
And she's very sweet but she's
been hurt once too many times.
Molly's a fighter and she's very independent.
I think the women characters in this series are very
different than the ones you usually see.
Even though there may be the underlying subtext of a man,
who's kind of, they're revolving around,
I think the girls themselves, they're powerful,
they're strong, they're intelligent.
And they know exactly what they need to do
to make things right in their lives.
- I just got here. - What are you talking about?
You need to go home.
Her best friend Nico is an extreme extrovert.
He is unapologetic when it comes to who he is as a person,
who he is sexually, who he is in all aspects
of his life and I think Tara admires that,
but at the same time she envies it.
- I think Nico is just sort of bizarre to TJ at first.
He's like who is this guy, what's he doing here,
what's his whole thing, does he like me,
I don't think he does.
- You don't even know us, dude.
- Wow. - You don't even
fucking know us.
- Really? - Yeah.
- TJ is unacquainted with homosexuality,
with gay, with LGBT community, with that kind of openness.
And Tyle's character Sean comes in
and they have an exchange, they have some words.
- Get the fuck away from me dude.
I told you I'm not gay.
- What the fuck?
- Situation really speaks to Tara because she sees TJ
trying to shut down someone who's just being themselves.
- I'm playing a character who just has never
been in contact with gay people basically ever in his life,
and he reacts so aggressively
and I think that's what's cool about this web series
is that it shows a character evolve
and change in their point of view.
So I think to be able to see someone evolve naturally
into a place of understanding and acceptance,
that's what this series is all about.
I was kind of wrong about you.
Like I totally judged you at first and.
- We actually, I feel like we portray the vast
majority of modern relationships.
More recently, we've become a culture of ghosting.
We've become a culture of what's next out there for me,
or there's probably something better out there for me
when things are perfectly fine.
- Modern day dating, ha, is
phenomenal all in itself.
But in this series I think it really encompasses a lot of
different avenues that modern dating comes across.
Different characters enterwined,
how their relationships blossomed,
or how they even met, little like just all sorts of things
in order to figure out who was who
and what was what, kind of deal.
- Working on Living in the Moment
with this casting crew was so fun
because we felt like a big, happy family by the end.
We'd been working so much together every week
that by the end we were like,
so gelled together, with the crew,
they were so stellar in getting everything
that needed to be done.
And to see everyone evolve
through the process was very rewarding.
- And I love that Eddie had such a great vision for this.
He gave us a lot of creative freedom
to build our own characters while giving us guidelines.
In rehearsals, we just kind of unleashed
what we thought our characters would be
and it bounced off so well, it was so natural.
It made the series more real
because the words we were saying
weren't really what mattered,
and it was the emotions that were coming through.
- Virtual reality was insane.
Doing the bar scene was when we did the VR for that,
is you not only saw the scene that was happening,
but you saw the little scene that was happening over here,
you saw Nico meeting Sean,
you saw Will playing the guitar,
you saw our friends in the back playing,
like you saw every little thing
that was happening in that bar.
You didn't just have to focus on one scene,
you can notice all the other stuff and that was awesome.
The coolest part was living in the actual moment,
so you're in it, and you're able to express
to other people how living in the moment is
because you see everything, just like in real life
when you're walking down the street.
You don't see just this one path, you see everything.
It was great.
- So, living in the moment means taking things
as they come and reacting to them.
We get dealt so many crazy cards in life,
and we can't plan for everything and that's exactly what
Living in the Moment is but captured behind the camera.
We have a group of millennials who are trying to figure out
where to grow career-wise, where to grow emotionally,
where to grow within their relationships
and their friendships and just expand their horizons
and they're taking it in as it comes
and reacting honestly and truthfully.
Unfortunately not everything happens in life
the way you want it to, and Living in the Moment
is just about rolling with it and just going with it.
- Living in the moment to me means seeing
what's going on around you and not being afraid.
Not letting fear of judgment,
fear of possible negative outcomes
decide what you're gonna do.
I think it means living to the best of your ability
and making the most of every opportunity
that is presented to you.
- I want people to take away from the series
that we need to be supportive for one another
and we need to just love each other as much as we can.
My advice is to just embrace what the world is,
embrace what's happening around you.
- You just gotta be yourself unabashedly,
and you gotta respect people for doing their thing.
- See the world as it is, to understand that,
yeah, everyone's different but that's okay.
Like, you're supposed to be!
No one's supposed to be the same, it's boring!
Be who you want to be.

Mississauga Real Estate Market Update February 2018 - Duration: 3:12.- Hello Mississauga, I'm Chris Cucoch and this is
your Mississauga market update for February 2018.
As an added bonus today, I've included my free report
Buyer tips on how to find your dream home.
Just click the link below, you can download the pdf
and get a copy for yourself.
In January, the average sale price in the
Toronto real estate board was $736,000.
Now sales themselves were down over last year
but you have to consider a couple of things
one, we started off this year with some
freezing cold weather,
not very many people were wanting to go
outside and look at houses.
And two, there were not a ton of new listings
and the new listings that we did have,
they sold pretty quickly.
So I don't know if this is quite indicative
of what we have to come in 2018.
Let's take a look at the micro markets.
In Mississauga in January, the average price of a
detached home was little over a million dollars.
That's down about 13 1/2 % over last year
and we're seeing about 3.9 months of inventory.
Now in a semi-detached, average price was $686,000
which is down about 6.4% from last year
and we've got about 1.9 months of inventory.
In the Mississauga town house market,
the average sale price was $547,000
which is a little over 1% over last year.
We've got about 1.9 months of inventory,
however, in the Toronto condo market the
average sale price last month was $401,000
which is up almost 17% over last year.
We're down to about 1.6 months of inventory.
Now the reason this is happening in the condo markets
in particular are the low months of inventory.
Now the higher the months of inventory goes,
the more choices there are out there.
When there's less choices, you have to pay
a little bit more to get what you want.
The analogy I like to use for this is the grocery store.
Now if you could picture walking into
the grocery store and half the shelves are empty,
you'd be competing with the rest of the people
in the store for the items that were left.
The same thing is going on in the housing market
right now, with the condo market in particular
I want you to keep in mind that over the next four months
you're gonna see some pretty scary headlines
in the newspaper and on t.v.
Remember that January to April of last year was the
busiest market with the fastest appreciation
in Toronto real estate history.
Once fair housing came out in April
things slowed down a little bit but the
year over year comparison versus
that crazy time is not really fair.
Now, I'm not saying it's fake news
but it is definitely taken out of context
Now you've probably heard me say this before,
but real estate was never intended to be looked at
on month over month or even a year over year basis
which happens to be the way that we
reported in the newspaper and on t.v.
It needs to be looked at in
a multi or even decade over decade basis.
Now if you extend the time horizon out to even two years,
I suspect you'll find your investments doing just fine.
It's much more important to focus on the
economic indicators that drive the housing market.
Now there's three main fundamentals
you wanna keep your eye on.
Those are the interest rate, employment rate
and the immigration.
And all historically are very strong right now.
If you have any questions at all, or wanna know
how this information applies to you specifically,
don't hesitate to reach out.
I'm never more than a phone call away.
Thanks for watching and I'll see you next time.

Follow My Lead Backstage Pass - Duration: 5:13.Hey it's April Bolivar are your friendly dog trainer
Follow My Lead LLC is your friendly dog trainer April Bolivar and if it's your
first time watching I'm April Bolivar I'm a certified dog trainer an honors
graduate and mentor trainer from Animal Behavior College and it's my passion to
help you enrich your bond with your dog so I've been getting really busy with work
lately because I've got clients I got dog training classes and I don't have as
much time to make some youtube videos but I thought it'd be really fun if I
kind of brought you along so you could see what dog training life in April
Bolivar the friendly dog trainer is like and how group classes go and private
lessons go today I'm going to teach my group class so I got my business shirt
on I'm all set to go I got my bag and my paperwork and come on let's go I'll show
you where I teach classes I'm going to show you where I teach the classes
and I have this really great area for the classes it's a wonderful pet
store here so we have this big area back here where we can work and
there's some mild distractions because people do walk by and pop their head in
but it's a really good set up classes I have of course my treat bag you
absolutely need that treats and then my folder which I have all my paperwork in
this week we worked on jumping as our behavior issues that's my jumping
paperwork and then every week they get homework we're on week 4 so they take
this home it has all the cues on it for them to work on because they don't expect them
to remember everything I say and then of course I do
attendance so the group classes go everyone did really awesome today I was
very proud of them they're working really hard with their dogs and maybe next
week I'll ask them if I can record some of the class so you can see it hey guys
so it's Sunday and it's the day after my dog training class and so I really like
to get things all set up because I kind of like to like do all my social media
things and so forth throughout the week so I'm already sitting up my classes for
next week each week I do just a little thing to keep me on track so it just
tells me all the things that I have to do for next week I have one for every
week and that just lets me stay on track and not make the classes to long and
you know go off somewhere else it just it's just basically what I do so I take
attendance I greet the dogs in the heel position that we review the
homework then I go through all the new cues assign the homework and remind them where and when the next class will be
also I got here this is the homework for week 5
so I'm gonna print that out so I also have a private client who's having a problem with their dog
jumping up and stealing food from the counters so I'm setting up a treatment
plan for food stealing or I like to call a counter surfing so there's a
couple of different steps in the treatment plans that I do when you use a
positive dog training methods that I use so the first one is we want to do
positive reinforcement of alternate behaviors that's the first thing then
we're gonna manage the problem and set your dog up to succeed
that's consequences for food stealing and then one of the most important
things is consistency we've got to be consistent when especially when you're
working with a problem behavior but this is what's going to tell her all the
types of things and steps that she can do of course all tell her that but you
can never remember when someone tells you something you know the first time
it's always great to have it in writing so they can go back and look at it I'm going to print those
out and then I'm going to put them in my folder in my business briefcase and have
it all ready for I see my private client on Thursday morning and than
I will see my students again on Saturday hey guys so this weeks training
classes went really well this past week and my one-on-one with my private client went really well in fact next week she's given me permission to do some video footage
so that's what your going to see next week
thanks so much for coming in and watching my video and seeing a little bit of how I run my dog training classes
have a great week everyone take care of your dog's and love them
they'll love you for it I'll see you next time bye! hey guys and don't forget to subscribe give me a thumbs
up if you enjoyed this video and share this out with all your friends and
followers
