HOW TO MAKE YOUR DESIGNS MORE PROFESSIONAL - What Makes A Graphic Design Professional? - Duration: 6:30.
what makes a graphic design professional I'm going to show you five
different ways that a graphic design can be professional so you can actually
focus on those five points and use them in your own graphic design work also
talking my professional design sponsoring today's video is template
monster which is a marketplace where you can upload your own designs and PSD
templates for sale on their marketplace you can check out the link in
description below if you want to become a vendor and start making money selling
your PSD templates on template monster
so the first point in today's video and what makes a graph a design professional
is actually repetition often we see repetition of something boring or
something negative but when it comes to graphic design which is a visual
communication repetition is actually essential to a professional graphic
design repetition is important and essential to a graphic design because it
strengthens the entire look and also it ties elements together in the design as
a whole it creates some kind of organization within a graphic design and
this is especially important when it comes to branding but if someone looking
at that brand has to recognize a certain pattern throughout the entire brand if
it's a logo a business card and advert or a banner so they can link that design
back to the brand so yeah repetition is extremely
important in graphic design and you can actually try and look at this and
designs out there that exist now and see how you can work repetition into your
design when it's needed now the second point in today's video and what makes a
graphic design professional is actually knowing when to stop there's actually
quite a funny story which you might have seen the picture of where a company was
commissioned to retouch an existing piece of artwork but when they realized
they were making the artwork worse they didn't stop they just continued and
continued and continued into the ended up with the image that you're seeing on
screen now when thinking about graphic design however you really do need to
know when to stop only because you might sabotage your own work but because time
is essential and time is money you need to prioritize your time I manage it
efficiently in your graphic design workflow so you're knowing when to stop
it's essential to having a professional graphic design because you don't want to
spend too much time a little loose ends that don't need doing if the design is
actually fine as it is to know when to stop is to take a step back from your
design look at it objectively and to tell yourself that yeah it's actually
finished any more time spent on the design is not going to be worthwhile
the third point on what makes a graphic design professional in today's video is
another kind of OCD element which I do like to try and implement all of my
graphic designs and that is alignment keeping everything aligned and orderly
is fundamental to a professional graphic design and anybody with a seasoned eye
for design can instantly see Hotel if something's not aligned perfectly or at
all even for someone who's not a seasoned designer they will
subconsciously see that something's wrong the design because it's not
aligned annoyedly when a design is not aligned properly it
connotes and communicates a kind of sloppiness and disorder which is always
going to be a negative outcome for your graphic designs the fourth point on
today's video on what mix of graphic design professional is kerning now
spoken about kerning many many times in this channel and it is really really
important especially when it comes to headings titles and logo type especially
kerning if you don't know is the space between each letter when combined as a
group there are different tricks and techniques to actually Kern your
typography and one of them that I use is actually too unfocused my eyes and then
look at the design so you can see the negative space easier other people also
flip the tanks upside down and Kern it that way but yeah if your design has
really poor kerning or it's not current at all it's instantly obvious to people
looking at it especially if their designers when
you're actually writing out text in Adobe Illustrator for example you can
change the kerning settings from auto to optical and also metrics play around
these settings but also manually turn your type especially on logo type which
will actually require you to ungroup the letters and then move them around
individually I can't emphasize enough how important it is for logo type
especially now the last point in today's video on what makes a graphic design
professional is space many people especially novice designers think that
if there's an empty space it should be filled with something this couldn't be
further from the truth actually you need to take note of
negative space on your design because it is absolutely essential
also in typography and in layout design negative space creates shapes and it
could actually drew an attention of the two important aspects of your design all
the information in trying to convey remember graphic design is a visual
communication and so using negative space or space in general is a key
factor into making that design professional now there are more points
than these five and what makes a graphic design professional but I just have
these five for you today they're all important and you should use every
single point that I mentioned today when working graphic design projects if you
want to hear about more ways that you can make your designs more professional
let me know down the section below and I'll be sure to make more videos like
this one today now I'm going to show you guys about template monster and how you
can make money sending your templates and PSD is online right now template
monster who are sponsoring today's video have a great marketplace we can sign up
to and upload your very own template designs which does include PSD templates
and then make a nice profit on each sale thereafter there's quite a wide range of
possibilities for you as a vendor on template monster and have quite a large
market place indeed personally I will feel most at home with the fact that I
cannot believe my PSD templates straight to the marketplace which is a really
handy feature for a graphic designer like myself it's easy to sign up and
start selling on template monster so go ahead and check them out via the link in
description below and start selling your templates today

Talk about this. It's coming back for Season Two.
It's bigger, it's better than ever.
-Yeah! -And we have more action...
-Yeah, it's so much action! -...more love...
-Yeah! -...more connecting.
-Yes! -But, uh,
first, let's just settle into our --
Settle into our interview. -Okay.
-We were just discussing the Met Gala with Mindy Kaling.
We saw each other at the Met Gala.
-We did! You had gag glasses.
When we laughed -- -I did, I had funny glasses.
-Yeah, you brought funny glasses, which was amazing,
and then when I left the Met Gala, I didn't got to any
after-parties, we just went to this bar downtown
to get cheeseburgers. -Yeah.
-And I texted James, I was like, "We're getting cheeseburgers
at Julius', come meet us." -Yeah.
-But I didn't tell James that it's the oldest
gay bar in New York City.
And it has a grill, but it was awesome.
How good were those cheeseburgers?
-That was fantastic, I've never heard of that place.
-Yeah. -But no, I really haven't.
-Good grill. We were all fancy,
there was no one in there. -Dude, we went in tuxedos,
eating cheeseburgers, come on, how fancy is that?
-It's awesome. -It was the best night ever.
You're the best person to hang out with.
-Thank you. -I do.
You're so much fun to hang out with.
I was watching the Billboard Music Awards
the other night, and you stole the show.
Because every cut-away to Taylor Swift or something,
you're in the background kind of going --
-I know. I -- I was in the back.
I was sitting there and, um --
-Look, this is -- -Yeah, I couldn't not.
I was so excited to be in that picture.

But you know what happened?
She got nominated for an award --
and I'm sitting there, and then she won, and I --
the camera was right there and I didn't know what to do,

-We have -- I think we have a clip of her winning
and your reaction, watch this,
here's Andy reacting to Taylor Swift.

"Oh, my God, Taylor Swift has never won an award before!"
-Oh, my God.
-She was super nice, by the way.
-She's the best. -Yeah.
-Uh, let's talk about "Love Connection."

-I mean, first of all, I love your show,
"Watch What Happens." -Thanks.
-I think it's one -- It's the best talk show out there.
-Thanks, Jimmy. -I love it so much.
-Thanks, we love you. -It's fun.
People drink on this show, the talk, they chill.
I want it to be longer.
-You know what, I think it's good to leave people
wanting just a little bit more.
Yeah. -Yeah.
-But "Love Connection" is an hour.
-I can do that -- -And it's super fun.
And it's hilarious. -It's good -- the season's --
-Yeah, it's so funny. It's like these people --
And I can't believe what people do on first dates, dude.

-No, you've got to have good breath.
-They don't pay attention to the person they're with,
they don't put their phones down.
-Really? -Yeah.
-Wow. -Yeah, but we made some
real love connections this season.
-You did? -For real.
-No, uh -- For real? -Yes!

-Have you ever thrown yourself a party?
-I -- You know what happened when I was 25?
My soul mate Graciela, she was like --
she and I planned my own surprise party.

and I was out to dinner with my friends
and then they used their decoy story to me to get me back
to the house, which I had worked out with Graciela
behind their backs, and they -- my friend was like,
"I have to go number two, can we go by your house?"
I'm like, "Yeah, okay."
Which I never would have let anyone do that.
-Awful, man. -It's the worst excuse.
-Use the gas station here, I don't care.
-Right, exactly. We were at a restaurant.
-You're at a restaurant, go to the restroom.
-Oh, no, let's go to my house. -Your apartment!
-Yeah, exactly. -Yeah, I know.
-So we went, and I'm opening the door,
and I was like shaking, I was like,
"I'm about to get surprised."
I was freak-- I was like me at the Billboard Awards.
I was freaking out.
-Taylor Swift is gonna win an award and surprise!
Oh, my God. -It was crazy.
It was horrible, actually.

VLOG - Meshuggah Studio and Pickups - Duration: 14:07.
all right it's Wednesday and it's a really beautiful day outside and I'm
actually preparing to go to the Meshuggah studio and my good buddy Kent and have
him install a couple of pickups in my guitars. He already has a couple of
guitars there then I'm gonna pick up and I'm also gonna leave two other guitars
that he will change pickups for some projects that I'm doing right now and
yeah I have where is it yeah I have this original
Bill Lawrence pickup then I'm gonna try out if you haven't heard about the different
kinds of Bill Lawrence pickups that are out there there's just it's
just a it's a big mess there are the like the Bill and Becky pickups the USA
Bill Lawrence and then there's the OBL and also of course the Dimebucker from
Seymour Duncan. And yeah so I'm just gonna try it out see how it sounds and
I'm gonna bring it and put it into my Dime 3ST and just hear how it sounds and
then I also have to install an EMG pickup in a guitar and I'm not
sure I haven't decided which one yet but uh I'll just grab something off the wall
I guess okay so let's go
I couldn't find my case
I only have one case but I have two Dimebag guitars and yeah the other
Dimebag guitar is already at the studio getting a new pickup so I'm just
bringing this like this in the car yeah taking care of my nice little baby's
like that okay let's go
finally summer
raaah
I also found out that I'm supposed
to go pick up an amplifier in a couple of hours just before I go pick up my
kids so we'll see if logistically I can make all of this work otherwise we'll
just say nothing at all
Lovely...
They bought a new machine for a lot of money...
Tjena...
Say that again but in English...
Hello...
the part about the coffee goddamnit
Warm and nice...
it's jävligt nice.
Haven't been here in a long time...
dropped my key.
I tapped my key...
So we're at the Meshuggah studio
I actually rehearsed with my band Scarpoint here I'm here with Kent and Kent
And now I'm here with Kent.
And Kent is the main guy
Remove that ugly one...
Check out the scale length on this one.
40"
QuakE?
Quake bass
40" scale length.
good for something
ohhh remember this one? I demoed this one
these are the Misha Mansoor Bareknuckle pickups
perfect tuning.
Always...
always ultra.
so this is a new pickup from seymour duncan
Do you remember the name?
duality
which is their new pickup
Kent put it in this
Solar A2.6 and yeah I'm kind of excited to hear how it is how it sounds
There could be a lot of humming through this rig
Move over here...
Ok.
needs a neck adjustment
is this in D tuning now?
yeah
Amen fan it sounds alright.
sounds a little gnah gnah
I thought so too
A little "nagging"
A little split/egg feeling
It's chugging liksom.
It's the amp too...
I'll try at home with my amp
yeah yeah...
but, coffee?
this has the Seymour Duncan Dimebucker in it now
it had a Bareknuckle before I think
yeah it sounds good.
thanks for the help
ja
looks nice!
ugly inlay though
This logo has a plastic look to it.
Nice, I like the explorer shape, it's something new at least.
ja precis
Is that his signature set of pickups in there?
How do they sound?
It's supposed to sound like a mix between passive and active...but...
But coffee?
yeah yeah

What a behemoth!
Damn it's thick.
What size?
Aj.
266
Strings for Dicks new bass. 40" inch scale length bass.
It's not a new bass.
Old bass...
it's like a worm...
String worm...
To advanced...
where do I press?
you choose?
I don't want with milk
Then you drive here only.
2x coffee?
regular coffee. Yeah exactly
Nice!
Almost done with God of War 4
Is that so?
I haven't had time to play
100%? All the trophies and shit too?
Nah that I don't know, 100% of the story...
Now I'm going to try the coffee...
It's good.
but it's not better than my Moccamaster they don't thank you
Hejdå!
Thank you...
See you next time!
Alright now I'm off to my second
destination which is an old friends rehearsing space I'm going to borrow
an amplifier from him for a secret project that I'm doing and yeah hopefully I get
there in time because it's getting closer and closer to me having to pick
up my kids and yeah it's a little bit of traffic but
it's fine, it's fine
this is my old hang around right there when I was a kid
you know you had like a after-school activity that's where I was hanging
that's where I rehearsed with my first band and I played a lot of shows there
when I was growing up so yeah and now we're actually going to what is my later
rehearsal space and I haven't been there for probably more than 15 years maybe?
Can that be it? 10 years maybe? 12-13? there's a studio in here as well which
is where I kind of like recorded a lot when I started out and I learned a
lot here actually so it's gonna be nice to see all this again
hey!
sup?
This is the amp!
This is my friend Jim.
say hi
Jim and I played in the same band we went to school together
and uh yeah this is the amp I'm collecting by the way and we're gonna
try it out see if it makes a sound or two.
that works...
it would be cool to jam sometime...
do you have time now?
*butchering master of puppets*
that was a lot of fun but now I'm late to pick up my son from school so I'm
sorry ah time flies when you have a lot of fun
so yeah I didn't plan to go and do a jam with him but it was a lot of fun I just
it sounded like ass but now we scheduled to do another jam session
I'll bring my satan and maybe I can hear when I'm playing
because with the 5150 it's good but, you know you need to help it out
unless you have active pickups in your guitar so yeah so it's gonna be a lot of fun
so now I'm off to pick up my son
alright my wife came to the rescue so I
do not have to pick up my son and I'm just going to pick up my daughter
instead so I'm on my way to daycare...
...with my Slayer t-shirt
*good times*

Manchester United could agree £26.3million deal for midfielder Fabian Ruiz | Transfer News Now #mufc - Duration: 2:05.
Manchester United could agree a £26.3m deal for Real Betis midfielder Fabian Ruiz, and
may have to battle Barcelona to procure his signature this summer.
The 22-year-old is considered the new Kaka, and could be on the move as suitors line up
for his services.
Ruiz re-joined Betis in Elche in 2017 and has gone on to make 59 appearances in all
competitions, scoring and creating 10 goals.
The Spanish u21 international has impressed this campaign, featuring 34 times in La Liga
as Betis earned a Europa League spot in the table.
United are desperate for a midfielder this summer, with Michael Carrick hanging up his
boots to become a first-team coach, and Marouane Fellaini looking set to exit Old Trafford
when his contract expires in the coming weeks.
The two departures would leave the Red Devils short in the engine room, hence the interest
in Ruiz.
The 22-year-old is a creative midfielder who can drive with the ball from deep into the
final third and is very comfortable in possession.
He's also got a combative edge to his game and isn't afraid to put in a challenge.
Don Balon say Ruiz will cost United £26.3m to sign this summer which wouldn't break
the bank, but Barcelona's reported interest could prove a stumbling block.

THE COMPLEX OF OEDIPE TO ADOLESCENCE - 60 seconds of PSY # 34 - Duration: 1:43.
It's time for me to talk about the Oedipus complex as a teenager.
Recall of the previous episode, asleep at the age of 6 under a latency period,
the oedipus complex waits patiently for his return.
And puberty arrived.
At age 3, the child discovers the difference between girls and boys.
He will then look for a model to develop his personality and naturally turn himself
to the same-sex parent.
Between the ages of 6 and 11, at the categorial stage of Walloon, the child leaves his personality of
side to develop his intellectual abilities.
But as a teenager, the child sees new confront, with the beginning of puberty,
to a new centripetal phase that will push to rework and finish the construction
of his personality.
Only the question is no longer to know what it's like to be a girl or a boy,
it's about finding out what it's like to be a man, a woman.
Obligation for him to return to its identification models and particularly
towards his parent model, the parent of the same sex.
Only, the age of reason has gone through there and parental imperfection is a reality
with which the teenager will have to compose.
The parent-model must therefore take its place and assert oneself in its imperfection.
This will allow the teenager to accept his own imperfections and grow thanks
to his qualities.
This is how the teenager can again solve his Oedipus complex to enter
fully in adulthood.
I'm counting on a maximum of blue thumbs and comments to put forward my channel.
Do not forget to subscribe before leaving to miss nothing of the next appointments
and see you soon for a next 60 seconds of PSY ".

Spill Proof Sippy Cups and the Effects They Could Have on Your Child or Client with Autism - Duration: 6:37.
Did you know that spill proof sippy cups can be detrimental to your child or client's development?
I'm talking about sippy cups today.
Hi, I'm Doctor Mary Barbera, autism mom, board certified behavior analyst and best-selling
author.
I remember when Lucas was about four years old and an SLP by the name of Joanne Gerenser
who spoke really all around the world, I believe, was speaking in my local town for the autism
society and I was taking her out to dinner.
But before I took her out to dinner the night before she spoke, I brought her to my house
to do kind of a drive-by eyeball of Lucas and she just stayed for a few minutes in my
home, she observed him in the basement.
And the only thing I remember Joanne Gerenser saying was to get rid of Lucas' sippy cup.
And I was kind of shocked.
I never thought about it before.
But she told me that spill-proof sippy cups in general were no better than drinking from
a baby bottle, and they put Lucas' lips in an unnatural position and affected articulation.
She added that since these cups have spill-proof valves in them, it makes it really unnatural,
the way he would have to suck.
It's not like sucking through a straw, which is actually good for kids.
This was brand new information for me, so we went cold turkey and switched him away
from a spill-proof sippy cup into a straw cup.
Many children, especially those with autism, frequently use spill-proof sippy cups because
they tend to be messy and even typically developing kids use spill-proof for many years past when
they should be.
Many parents and teachers aren't even aware of any issues with sippy cups, like I wasn't,
but like Joanne told me, spill-proof sippy cups are bad for toddlers and older children
because they hamper articulation and they can also increase problem behaviors for items
if they insist on using these certain cups and having access to these cups throughout
the day whenever they want.
Also, drinking anything except water throughout the day will almost always affect mealtime
behavior.
Basically if the child fills up on milk or juice, he's going to be less accepting of
nutritious food at the table.
So getting your child to drink out of regular open cups and sport water bottles and using
straws is really what we need to focus on.
And for some kids this needs to be a gradual process of weaning away from a sippy cup or
for weaning away from having juice or milk throughout the day, but in other cases it
will just involve going cold turkey and presenting them with a spill-proof straw cup or an open
cup.
You can occasionally, if you're traveling or only in cars use spill-proof sippy cups
and you do want to take care of your home and the rugs and the sofas and all that stuff,
but really children should not be just drinking, especially anything other than water throughout
the day.
I also think spill-proof sippy cups and this unnatural movement with their mouths can affect
not only articulation but talking in general.
So we do want to make sure that we're focusing on not only can a child talk or not, but are
they using sippy cups?
Are they using pacifiers or bottles and what are they eating?
And all those kinds of things because these sucking and feeding issues have a lot to do,
I think, with vocal language as well.
So what can you do today if your child or clients are using sippy cups?
You want to assess.
You want to assess are they using them all day long?
Are they just using them during car rides or at church or some special occasions?
Then after you asses how bad the situation is and if they're insistent on one or two
cups, then you really want to make a plan with boundaries to wean based on that assessment.
So you could decide like, "Okay, from now on, I'm only going to give a sippy cup when
we go in the car.
Or I'm only going to give a sippy cup at bedtime or something like that."
And then the rest of the time, you'd want the child to be sitting at a table during
meals.
If your child likes or has more than one sippy cup that they love, you may want to hide or
dispose of all the others so they can't stash them away or accidentally find one during
non-sippy cup times.
While your child or client probably will not understand a complex plan, even infants will
respond to reinforcement and other behavioral procedures.
And at the very minimum, children should not have free access to spill-proof sippy cups
or anything except for water at any time they want during the day or night.
So they need help with boundaries and you can help them with that.
So to summarize, spill-proof sippy cups are not recommended for children and just like
any behavior you want to change, you'll need to start with an assessment and make a plan.
For more information about this, you can download my free guide at marybarbera.com/join or by

And I will see you next week.

Hi, I am Isa, part of a 38 000 bees family and these last years,
as cities grow, we have difficulties to find a place to live.
Furthermore, with the use of "pesticides"
lands are less and less suitable to our fulfillment.
So why don't we live together?
With Bee@Home, it's now possible!
Look! Durand's family installed their system
follow me to discover it.
To enter our new home, we pass through these
railings which prevent curious to chase us,
and these little IR rays you can see count us.
Our private entry is far from family's life
so we won't bother you.
We can live here as easily in the winter than in the summer thanks to home's heat,
which is above the outside temperature.
It brings us closer to our 35°C ideal temperature.

For the maintenance, no problem,
you only have to call a beekeeper once or twice a year.
They will clean our hive from the outside and buy the few kilograms of honey you won't use.
In your daily life, you can still use the Wifi,
and the harmful electromagnetic waves will be stopped by the anti-wave protective film coming with the hive.
On our side, we will not disturb you
thanks to the soundproofed glass, and our humming
will even let you create electricity with piezoelectric sensors, linked to a generator.
These are little devices which enable to transform sound waves into electricity.
Here we are! I finished presenting, I return to pollinate your gardens!

Check out the scale length on this one.

good for something
ohhh remember this one? I demoed this one
these are the Misha Mansoor Bareknuckle pickups
perfect tuning.
Always...
always ultra.
so this is a new pickup from seymour duncan
Do you remember the name?
duality
which is their new pickup
Kent put it in this
Solar A2.6 and yeah I'm kind of excited to hear how it is how it sounds
There could be a lot of humming through this rig
Move over here...
Ok.
needs a neck adjustment
is this in D tuning now?
yeah
Amen fan it sounds alright.
sounds a little gnah gnah
I thought so too
A little "nagging"
A little split/egg feeling
It's chugging liksom.
It's the amp too...
I'll try at home with my amp
yeah yeah...
but, coffee?
this has the Seymour Duncan Dimebucker in it now
it had a Bareknuckle before I think
yeah it sounds good.
thanks for the help
ja
looks nice!
ugly inlay though
This logo has a plastic look to it.
Nice, I like the explorer shape, it's something new at least.
ja precis
Is that his signature set of pickups in there?
How do they sound?
It's supposed to sound like a mix between passive and active...but...
But coffee?
yeah yeah
de café?

SEWING FOR KIDS! Handwork Studio Simplicity Sewing Patterns | SEWING REPORT - Duration: 5:53.
very excited to be talking about a new line of sewing patterns for kids to help
them learn how to sew
welcome to the Sewing Report I'm Jennifer Moore helping you discover your love of
sewing crafts and DIY projects we're talking about a new line of patterns
from Simplicity teaming up with this company called the Handwork Studio and
they're meant for kids to help them learn how to sew they are a couple
beginner patterns there are two and intermediate patterns so let's talk
about them and I will tell you all about the handwork studio so someone from the
company actually reached out and asked if I wanted to talk about these try them
out so I'm gonna be doing that while I'm not exactly their target demo
I am good at testing out sewing patterns so I'm gonna be doing that later on in
the video but the handwork studio is this company they've been in business
for quite a few years and they operate sewing classes and camps for kids for
sewing and needlework and helping kids to make things which i think is awesome
and I think that's something that our sewing community really needs to be
doing is outreach helping young people helping non sellers discover sewing
because it's so much fun on the envelope it says be inspired sew it yourself
learn with the handwork studio method what I like is everything that's
included in these patterns not only are those step-by-step instructions but it
comes with sewing practice sheets to help you sew straight lines to help you
sew curvy lines a how to thread a sewing machine poster and also access to free
online YouTube videos and I did check out the videos these videos are really
good quality videos they walk you literally through step by step what you
need to do to make the pattern I actually watched the one for the comfy
pants pattern just to get a feel for what it was like and it features an
adult sewing instructor sewing with a child which again if these are meant for
kids I think that's good that they incorporated a real kid into the videos
to show it kind of makes them more relatable and it it kind of shows hey if
you're a kids sewing this is this is actually another kid sewing to sew the
patterns are the fluffy stuffy this is a really
you like pillow that looks like a cat there's also a very basic hand bag
pattern called the rummy bag there is a skirt pattern the Roxy skirt and there's
also a pair of like pj pants called the comfy pants I'm actually gonna try to
make the comfy pants I think I can probably fit into the extra-large size
if I make the waistband a little bit bigger I'm gonna go ahead and open one
of these up to show you what comes in the pattern envelope all right so here's
the pattern tissue and I like this if the lines are very easy to follow and
let's see I wonder if all the sizes are separate or okay it does look like this
is actually very convenient all of the sizes are separate on the tissue pattern
so you don't have to worry about like if you cut out an extra small you can't use
the large size or the extra-large size there's literally only one pattern piece
so it makes it easy you cut it on the fold in there too and it also comes with
the instructions and I watched this video and the video was was solid this
is something I really like about this pattern is that all of the sizes are
separate tissue pieces and there's only literally one pattern piece you just cut
it on the fold and then cut two of them and here are the practice sheets I'll
show you those I love that they give you practice exercises so that your kids can
try these out before sewing the actual project just to get comfortable at the
sewing machine there is a sewing machine guide showing you all the different
parts that's pretty neat kids are all about YouTube and online video
instructions so I think that's great that they offer that for free in
addition to just the pattern instructions but this pattern looks
really simple I'm actually gonna try to make this one and you'll see how this
turns out
clearly add a lot of fun trying out that comfy pants pattern I might try the Roxy
skirt next well to see and believe me if I can do it so can you
this is that my review of the simplicity sewing patterns for kids in conjunction
with the handwork studio if you enjoyed this video be sure to hit that like
button and subscribe to sewing report for everything sewing crafts and DIY
projects I will see you guys next time for another video

Will I EVER FIT IN and still be MY TRUE SELF? ENFP + INFP Struggles - Dreams Around The World - Duration: 10:43.
Hey, Dan here and in this video we're answering the question about how you can
find your own happiness and essentially ignore your friends or find a way to be
understood by your friends. I get asked questions around this theme a lot from
enfps and INFP is about, you know, all my friends think differently than me and I
feel like I don't fit in or how do I explain to people that I think
differently than them this sort of common theme here
and the first thing I'm going to say is stop false advertising so think about it
if you're pretending to be like your friends right if you're an ENFP it's
pretty easy usually to be like the social chameleon for some extent right
some period of time and pretend to be something you're not
so if you're pretending you're certain way because you're trying to fit in then
it's not going to create good results for you because you're going to attract
the people who are interested in being friends with the fake you not the real
you and the people who might actually want to be friends with the real you may
be the you know more creative people or the more entrepreneurial people or
whoever that is for you they're not going to be drawn to you because you're
pretending to be someone you're not right now unfortunately the way we're
wired as human beings is to want to be part of a tribe and to want to be
accepted this is why being rejected sucks so much
right thousands of years ago if you were rejected by your tribe you were probably
eaten by lions or gorillas or I don't think girl eating people but whoever
eats people back in the day would eat you because you'd be alone and you
needed that tribe to survive and that's why we're wired so strongly to want to
be accepted by our social group and our peer group in the modern world this is
not necessarily as beneficial because we grow up in generally quite conformist
you know groups and that can be on either side you know if you have really
open minded crazy liberal parents and they send you off to Montessori well
then everyone around you might have that kind of crazy whatever view and then
you're likely to want to conform to that and maybe you're actually wired to be
more of a conservative person similarly if you grow up in more of a conservative
family which may be more my audience here where you have a more conservative
peer group and you're not that kind of conservative person and you're feeling
like you don't fit in you don't want to you know be a lawyer
or get a typical nine-to-five job or whatever that is then you're going to
have this desire to fit in and be part of that group but on the same note
you're not like that so it can be really confusing it can be tough I want you to
think about it this way let's imagine back in the day you were in a tribe of
50 people right that means that if you break down sort of the averages for
personality types that you're gonna have like three or four or maybe like two or
three ent Jays a bunch of is DJ's isfps for those of you not familiar with
myers-briggs I sound like crazy person right now I get it
but you might be the only ENFP or INFP in that group and that's a good thing
that most likely served an evolutionary function where you were able to bring
your own talents to the group and we're really appreciated for that keep in mind
like does not always like the same right like does not like like meaning like
yeah if you are like for instance a personality type that's quite different
to an ENFP or an INFP would be the ENTJ they're more discipline they're usually
going after status success very driven take a lot of responsibility they tend
to love enfps and there's a very good relationship there same with infps in
terms of friendships business partnerships relationships and they
don't like enfps because we pretend to be an ENTJ they appreciate the
differences and there's an admiration for what each other can do and so if
you're trying to change who you are and conform to the group you're actually
doing the group a disservice because you are wired to be different I'm gonna
argue that you are wired to be different to bring your gift to whatever group
you're in that could be your classroom that could
be your fraternity that could be your business that could be your family
whoever the group is that you're having issues basically being different then
forget it bring your gift and you're going to actually be appreciated by them
if you own it and you be then tick and you just be yourself then
they're going to be able to appreciate those differences and ultimately the
more you be you the more you be yourself the easier it is for people to
appreciate you and to have authentic friendships right if you're not sure who
you are yet and you're sort of in the middle and you don't take stands on
anything or that it's harder for people to develop those really authentic
friendships because people don't know where you stand and there isn't that
same level of honesty think about it if you had a friend that you could tell was
always sort of holding back part of themselves and always worried if you
were judging them and all that would you really trust that person even because
you know there's an under layer there under layer underlying something
something's going on under the surface they're where they are you know hiding
something thinking on different levels they're thinking on a level beneath the
surface they're thinking about what they're presenting to you that's not a
good base for building a really authentic trustworthy friendship right
and so the more you can just be comfortable with yourself and put it out
there the more you're going to build really strong relationships
now the problem how the hell do you do that I get that right and this is one of
the reasons that I am a big fan of travel aside from you know exotic
locations people delicious food and all this travel allows you to break out of
your patterns and change yourself and help you become more of yourself and
it's not just travel but what I would say is that when you're in a group let's
say you have the same friend from high school and you've been friends with
these seven people or you're really close and you have a big family and
you're all close it's tough to break those patterns so if you've been
behaving a certain way when you were 13 14 15 16 people expect you to keep
behaving that way and other people's expectations of us is one of if not the
biggest influence on our behavior say that again because it's pretty
interesting is the way other people expect us to
behave is the biggest influence on how we behave and keeping this in mind - if
you're a parent or a boss you can use this as a parent or
boss strategy to you know adjust people's behavior right people adjust to
what is expected of them and so if you have these groups where they have
certain expectations of you and you're not really that person now or you want
to change who you are I would really recommend creating some distance you
could do this if you're younger you could do this by going away to college
in another city you could do this by traveling you could just do this by
adjusting your social groups when I realized that I really wanted to be
entrepreneurial and do my own thing a lot of my really close friends were
going more the traditional roots of like law medicine that sort of thing and I
made the you know somewhat conscious decision to seek out entrepreneurial
friends because that would help me one have people I could relate to in terms
of starting your own business and different life goals and also it helped
me be someone new because I didn't have those exact same you know ties I didn't
have those same patterns and it allowed me to in some ways not necessarily
reinvent myself but definitely adjust myself and and change a bit of who I was
and then once that was really comfortable in that new me the new me
then it was easier to go back to you know friends family whoever else because
I was already grounded in this role and I wasn't going to be you know pulled
back away from it necessarily I think we if you're older and you're watching this
and by older I mean anyone like 30 or over you probably know that when you go
home to visit your parents and hopefully you don't still live at home if so watch
some of my other channels on or videos on earning money and getting your life
together but hopefully you don't live at home that you will notice that when you
do go home just being with your parent can change your behavior you sort of go
back to some things you did more as a child or maybe be less less decisive
less commanding maybe the the qualities that you developed as you've grown up
you lose those when you go back with your parents or temporarily so creating
this distance again I talked about going away for school for me new friend groups
moving all this can really help with this
create that distance give yourself a chance to be really authentic with new
people and form that identity more and then you can figure out with your you
know older friends family and all that how those relationships jive and you may
find that certain people don't really accept it you may also find something
that I found is that well I've been growing and changing so have a lot of
those friends through our own sort of separate journeys and then when we get
together later a few years after it's like oh we both sort of developed these
different views that are still complimentary we still get along really
well and you may find some friends where you just don't in those relationships
will die and that's what happens in life right you don't have to be friends with
everyone you've been friends with your whole life so if I can leave you with
anything from this video it's the importance of becoming yourself of
learning to be really authentic accepting yourself and then sharing that
person with the people around you I don't want to sound all new agey and
she's a year but the more you're yourself life is so much easier you
attract people who accept you and like you for you you don't have to waste
energy putting up a front and you'll end up making some really great
relationships with people who are on the same page or on a totally different page
but appreciate you for you so that is where I'd leave you at just if you do
anything different it's put more energy into being yourself which ultimately
you'll then have to spend less energy overall because you just be yourself
it's pretty easy right thanks for watching if you haven't already
subscribed to the channel please do so I publish new videos at least once a week
on psychology personality types entrepreneurship and life design thanks
for watching
