Thoughts: My name is Levi.
Today is my first school day in my new school.
I have moved for the third time.
Last year we lived in Arizona.
Earlier we lived in New York and Hawaii, too.
This school is much bigger than my last school.
My first class is my favorite course.
On my schedule it says that the room number is 224, but I am not finding the room.
I am already late. This school is too big and I get lost easily.
Me: Aha. That is it. Pfew.
Teacher: Can I help you?
Me: I think, I am supposed to be in this classroom.
Teacher: What is your name? Me: I am Levi Antrim. I am new here.
Teacher: You have come to the right room.
Your name is on my list. Please come in. We just got started.
Student: Hello. I am Fred. You are new here, right?
Me: Yes, I am. Student: Which courses do you have today? Maybe we have something in common.
Me: Obviously, I have German now.
In the second hour, I have math.
Then physics, biology, history, geography and English.
Student: I have math in the second hour, too. Who is your math teacher?
Me: Ummm. (Looks at schedule) Mr. Weber.
Student: Oh. He is very cool, but strict.
I had him last year for my math teacher. This year I have Mrs. Schmidt.
Me: Which courses do you have today?
Student: Besides German and Math I still have physical education, technology, religion, and music.
There are various times during which one is allowed to eat lunch.
Today I have lunch at 11:30, but tomorrow I have to eat at 11.
It probably says on your schedule when you should eat.
Me: I also have lunch at 11:30. We could go together. Then I can find everything.
Student: I take my own food to school, but one can also buy something from the cafeteria.
There is a selection of cheeseburgers, pizza and other things.
There are also microwaves and toasters in order to warm up food from home.
Teacher: New boy, I don't know how it was in your old school,
but in this school, you don't talk when the teacher is talking.
Listen to me, please. We don't want a bad beginning in a new school, do we?
Student: This is our cafeteria.
There are two lines in which one can buy food.
In this line, there are cheeseburgers and sandwiches.
In this line there are yogurt, salad, and healthy food.
Me: How much does the food cost?
Student: It depends upon what one wants to buy, but normally just a few Euros.
Me: Cool. Maybe I will try that tomorrow, but today I brought my own lunch.
Rolls with ham and cheese and fresh vegetables, broccoli and carrots with ranch dressing.
Student: I only brought cookies. I only eat cookies and drink coffee every day.
Me: Is it healthy to subsist only cookies and coffee?
Student: No idea. I don't have nutritional science until next semester.
