That was one of the videos
for my new series, Derp-O-Vision.
As you can see, it's similar
to comedy sketches, but
with very weird humor.
Very absurd, surreal,
maybe even dada.
Maybe in a sense similar
to YouTube Poop.
Which is what I'm mostly known for in the internet.
I'm going to film a lot of videos like these
on a regular basis,
however I also decided to tie this project to donations,
because I really need your help now.
I wouldn't like to drag it out too much,
so it won't sound like "A quarter for a poor old man?"
although that's basically
not that far from what it is.
I've yet to find a way to transform
from a human to some kind of transcendental being
which lives
on enthusiasm alone,
although I'd like that of course,
but I need to make money somehow.
And trust me, I tried doing it
with a day job. Unfortunately
it just doesn't work for me.
For the past six years I tried to solve
this problem with a regular job, but
it would either drain all my time,
energy and mood
Even if not completely, I would still
often be depressed,
often anxious about too little free time
Unfortunately my mental health is not the best,
Though to be honest I don't want to play pity party,
in fact even asking for help like this feels embarrassing,
Actually I'm still looking for some kind of compromise,
some kind of minimal job that would
leave me with more free time,
won't throw me off balance so much, but...
it's a rarity few and far between
kind of job.
I either just can't find one,
or something goes wrong.
Again, it's awkward for me to ask
for help like this, but I tried.
Right now the situation is pretty much critical,
I mean, I'm 25
I still live with my parents
and I can't even eat the food they cook
since I didn't earn it.
Only with my grandma's help
and unemployment benefits
(which end soon)
I somehow make do, but
it can't go on like that.
I need to figure something out
I hope it's not too annoying or pathetic,
but I need your help.
And I decided to work in donation options
into this project.
Yeah, I promised not to drag it out...
I failed, sorry.
Yeah, let's get to the project.
It's a long-awaited possibility for me.
I've had the idea for this kind of videos for the longest time.
You can even see some on my channel still.
But these life issues...
And I guess I was in the YTP too deeply.
But I honestly hope even the YTP lovers
who are subscribed to me for that reason
will still like this new project.
It even has many of the, say....
direction features of the YTP.
YEAH. Let's see how you can cooperate here.
Option 1 is any sum up to $2.50 (because that's where the next reward tier starts)
So what do you get if you donate, say,
a dollar?
You name a word.
At the end of the month, a poll is created.
It has all the words, and
the one that gets the most votes becomes
the topic for the next Derp-O-Vision video!
The one at the beggining of this video
was "Mockingbird".
So let me show you another example.
Let's say the winner word is "Kinder".
You'll see something like this:
"He died for our sins."
- For our Kinder eggs with shitty toys.
However if your word doesn't win
that's okay.
Because all those words...
All the words that have been named
by my patrons,
I take them and
make some piece of content from them.
Maybe a short story,
with all those words featured in it,
maybe a collage,
maybe a slideshow...
there will be some kind of surprise, everyone will be rewarded.
And of course,
your name will be in the credits.
In any case.
The 2nd tier is $2.50 a month.
I know it's a tall order,
but maybe somebody does have the money to
sponsor me with such a sum.
In this tier, even if your word loses the vote,
I take its first letter
and I take the first letter
from every word of the $2.50+ patrons,
and I see which word I can make of it.
I try to make a word from that mess.
That word,
or rather, what it means,
will be included in the next Derp-O-Vision.
Let's say I got "RAP".
So the same Kinder video
will continue like this:
[rapping] Our Heavenly Father, who art in heaven!
Give us this day our daily bread!
[Chacarron Maccaron]
The top tier,
I guess for the really rich and kind people
I have no idea who could
donate 300 rubles a month (*currently that's $5, normally would be $10)
that doesn't sound realistic, but just in case (*currently that's $5, normally would be $10)
I made that tier too.
Regardless if your word wins or loses,
I take the whole word
and, in one way or another,
incorporate it into the video.
So, that's that.
My hopes for anything else in terms of finances are...
VERY LOW. (none, actually)
So I really hope this thing will take off.
And, once again...
Just so that there isn't any confusion,
this doesn't mean my future content is becoming paid
or anything like that.
It's just this particular project
gives you the ability to help me.
Anyway, I hope to get out of this depressing situation,
hopefully with your help,
and...
I want to please you with more content,
make greater videos,
make more music,
grow in directions I haven't properly explored yet,
like comics, games...
