Did you hear about the head transplant planned for end of this year / start of next year?

Lead by the Italain neurosurgeon Sergio Canavero

and assisted by a Chinese group lead by Xiaoping Ren

They plan to take a head of a person with a diseased body, and place it on body of brain dead person

Can you imagine how much problems can this procedure solve

There will be no incurable diseases

When there is a problem, just change the body! No medications, No chemo, No long follow ups!

But..

Wait...

The success of this operation at the present time remains science fiction

It is also not ethical or scientific.. at least at the present time

Before you start thinking about how all great inventors were considered crazy and their ideas trashed by others

I would like to assure you that this is not the case here.

We live in an area where most believe in science and its advancement

Expecting this operation to fail is not an example of opposing advancement in science

To be able to explain the real problem at hand.. I need few minutes of your time

The first rule of medicine is "do no harm"

that is why advancement in medical science through research takes time

the main purpose is ensure the safety and efficacy of new medications and interventions before testing them on humans

It an issue is noted, researcher take a step back to try to avoid harm to patients

We all know the game "the snake and ladder"

where the objective is to reach the end of the board. ladders can help you skip parts of the journey and snakes can make you repeat parts.

Like wise is medical research. The difference is that in medical research, using ladders is prohibited!

You start with the idea, then have it tested on the bench.

Afterwards, it can be tested on animals in part and as a whole

After ensuring initial success, it can be tested on human volunteers before it can be provided to patients

The medication or intervention gets approved and start appearing on guidelines then finds its ways to medical textbooks

Using a ladder to skip parts of this journey is unethical and also not scientific

Because it exposes patients to medications or interventions that are not well tested and may cause unknown harm

THAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE!!

Canavero revealed his ideas without real research to stand by his thoughts

He went on to describe the procedure and even pick his patient

But without having the bare minimum bench and animal research to provide proof that this is actually possible!

it was like using a long ladder that takes him from the idea to the end!

The problem was evident and so he and his team tried to re mediate the problem by doing more research to fill in the gaps

They were able to publish (or demonstrate) some research work during the past couple of years that support their proposal to perform the first human head transplant

The head is arguable the most important part of the body. It has the brain stem which is largely responsible for consciousness and vital body functions

The death of an individual happens when the brain stem dies

So when the plan is to take a head of a body and connecting it to another. We have to be pretty sure we have studied all the important aspects. It is a big deal!

We need to be sure we can supply enough blood to the head

We need to be sure we connect the nervous system with return of function

We need to be sure we can stabilize the head on the new body and have an idea about expected mobility

We need to be sure we can connect the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts

What about the immune system, will it attack the head? what can be expected?

This is the least amount of information we need to gather before embarking on a human head transplant trial

Let's look at what they have demonstrated in the research work performed

They were able to demonstrate that the the blood supply can be maintained to an amputated head of a mouse through another mouse's body.

Although this is an important milestone. It is actually nothing new. similar research has been done before

This is a mere replication of previous experiments

An this head will eventually die off due to rejection as seen in previous experiments

However, we can consider this part covered. This can be done!

Lets now get to the difficult aspect

Connecting the nervous system

There is no study that demonstrated a successful connection of the nervous system between an amputated head and a receiving body in animal studies

(success: meaning recovering the ability to feel and control the body by the new transplanted head)

Although this photo is now popular. showing a monkey head transplant. The research team did not demonstrate spinal cord connection

Actually this monkey was euthanized not long after surgery

The absence of convincing research that the neuronal connection can be achieved is problematic

So other studies performed by the Chinese team demonstrated the ability to sever and re-attache the spinal cord in rats and dogs

with subsequent regain in motor function over time

This is actually great! and may hold promise.

But this "success" does not translate to the "success" of head transplant. It is quiet different.

drawing this connection is misleading and dishonest

Furthermore, fish, rodents and canines are known to have better ability to regain function after spinal cord injury than humans. Similar results in humans remain questionable

Can we really transfer a head to a body and expect the body to have preserved function of its vital organs? like breathing for example?

Here we reach to one of the most popular experiments done by Canavero and his Chinese collaborators

In this experiment they demonstrated the ability to do that in mice!

There is one very important detail here!

In this experiment, the heads were divided in 2 different locations to preserve a functioning brain stem to the head and the body

So it is expected - in this scenario - that the body as well as the head remained "alive"

This does not mean that they were "connected" neurologically

Such an experiment can never be conducted on humans. Otherwise you will be using the body of an "ALIVE" person

I was not able to find studies looking at other important aspects, such as the immunologic aspect and others

So, although the research team claim "success" in their experiments.

You can see that these successes are not necessarily in complete alignment with the ultimate goal

However, through media coverage, it conveys a deceiving message to people.

In fact, we are still very far from being ready to perform human head transplant

With the current available scientific evidence. It remains unscientific and unethical

However, my real goal from this episode is not to say that the human head transplant is distant to fail

I know this has no real value when it comes to your health

But it is a good example to demonstrate few important points

1. Scientific research cannot be summed by a successful study.

It is a continuum of work that is evaluated and built on before drawing final conclusions or initiating human trials.

2. Not all research results can be generalized. Research can carry results that needs further scrutiny and repetition.

Also, research work vary in their quality and reliability.

Evaluating medical research is not an easy task. and it needs someone who is well read and have sufficient background in the topic.

3. Although you may never need a head transplant.

But the halo of "research" is now commonly used to advertise unproven remedies.

Having a positive conclusion on a research paper -per say- is not enough to prove anything

Be conscious

Thanks to Dr. Khalid Bajunaid (neurosurgeon) on reviewing the scientific content

I hope that you enjoyed this episode

Good bye

Am I Ready For A BIG Programming Project? - Duration: 8:38.

Hey, what's up?

John Sonmez here from simpleprogrammer.com.

I got a question from Zack about how do I know I'm ready for a big programming project.

Zack says, "I watched an interview on how you got a $75 job at 19.

How did you swing a gig like that and how did you know you were ready to get yourself

into that?"

The answer is I wasn't.

"How did you balance work and school?

Over the summer I worked at my friends' dads company for an internship developing a cross

platform application, is that enough experience to start actively looking for jobs?

I'm 18 by the way, in college and spend all my free time teaching myself Objective C as

I want to be a mobile dev/contractor on the side."

Additional info, he says, "I'm not going to waste any more of your time."

Well that's good.

You did spell waste wrong, but that's okay.

All right, let's talk about me first of all.

Yes, I did get a job $75 an hour at 19.

No, I wasn't ready and there was a lot of luck involved.

I'll be honest with you, there was a lot of luck involved.

I didn't have shit figured out when I was 19.

You are 18.

You probably don't have shit figured out.

You probably have more shit figured out than I did because you're watching these videos.

I mean I wasn't doing anything like this at that time.

Again, I don't want to paint too bleak of a picture of myself.

I was smart.

I was a hard worker.

I always liked learning things and improving myself in some ways, just not to the level

that some of you that are watching these videos are, especially some of you, I'm impressed,

you're like 14 or 15 and you email me.

I'm like, "Man, to be that young and to think like this.

Oh gosh, if I could do that I could rule the fuckin' world."

Basically, I want to give you the background here because I want you to realize that what

you have to do is you have to have hard work and you have to have luck.

The more hard work that you put in the more prepared you are for opportunity, the more

likely that you're going to get the hit.

It's really important.

It's better to be—I think Les Brown says this, maybe he's quoted someone else, but

I last heard him say it which was that, "It's better to be prepared and not have an opportunity,

than to have an opportunity but not be prepared."

Preparation is key.

Now, with that said, when I got this job at 19 or 18, I didn't really know—I didn't

have—I didn't even have a lot of preparation.

Sometimes you just get dumb luck and it guides you on a path.

I didn't know very much about C++.

I had some experience.

I was a hard worker.

I had done some preparation.

I had improved my skills.

I had some pretty good people skills and talking to people so that probably helped for it,

but it was also just a crazy time when they were hiring developers for ridiculous prices

because every—pep.com was going insane and buy.com and all this stuff.

It was during .com bubble.

A lot of it was luck that was involved.

But here's the thing.

Here's what I did do right is I knew the job was way over my head, but I took it anyway.

Some of you are crying foul right now.

You're like, "Ah!

You can't do that.

You can't represent something that you're not and then whatever.

It's not fair.

It's not good.

It's not principles."

Here's the thing.

I didn't represent anything that I wasn't.

I just said, "I could figure this out.

I could do this job."

I conveyed confidence.

You should always convey confidence.

You should have confidence in yourself.

Maybe you're going to fall flat.

Maybe you're going to screw up, but it's better to live your life that way than always taking

the safe route.

Too many people take the safe route.

They do the thing that they're comfortable doing, that's easy.

I've done a video—I did this really long talk at Xamarin Conference, you can check

it out, Five Soft Skills Every Software Developer Should Know.

Go check that out if you haven't, and it talks about how—I talk about the whole idea that

like in order to grow in life you've got to be uncomfortable.

You've got to put yourself in uncomfortable situations.

When I was 19 and they offered me this job, it was a really uncomfortable situation like

moving—by myself, loading everything up into my car and going to California where

I knew no one and everyone told me that if I looked at someone in the eyes I was going

to get shot, because I was in Boise, Idaho at the time.

It was scary.

It was uncomfortable.

The job, I didn't even know if I could do the job.

But I'll tell you what, as soon as I found out I had that job I read that book cover

to cover and I did it again and I just went through all the exercises in the book.

I was like, "I am going to show up at this job and I am going to figure out how to get

this stuff done."

That's what I did.

I'm not going to say that I was a superstar at that point or that I could make up for

a lack of experience, for years of lack of experience in C++ but I did it.

I swam somehow.

I made it.

it wasn't pretty.

It wasn't pretty, but I made it.

I learned a lot, not only about the technical skill in that case, but about myself.

Also, just about money in general.

It was great that I was able to make that kind of money at 19 and make 75 bucks an hour

because I realized that that's not something to aspire to because you're not going to be

rich, never, it's going to take you forever.

If you want the whole story you can check out my—I've got a playlist on real estate

stuff.

Click the card, by the way, it's always in the description below.

The whole point was that like it guided me down this path of realizing that I need some

other way.

What I'm saying, why am I—it seems like a couple of scattered things here, but the

whole point of this, like to bring this all together is that just go out and do it.

You're ready—you're never going to be ready.

You're never ready for anything in life.

If you're ready for something it's too easy.

If you're ready for something you're not going to grow from it.

It's a waste.

Always do things that you're not ready for.

Sometimes you may fail at them, but most of the time you're going to rise to a new level

and you're going to rise to the occasion and you're going to find out what you're really

made of and it's going to stretch you and it's going to grow you and it's going to be

uncomfortable but it's okay.

It's okay to fail.

I think in school they teach you it's not okay to fail.

It is okay to fail.

You get back up and you keep on going, and you go again, and you go again, and you go

again.

Sometimes those experiences, just like with my experience, if I had not taken an opportunity,

if I said, "Oh, I'm not qualified for this job.

Oh, it's crazy.

I'm not going to make it."

Then I wouldn't have made that money.

I wouldn't have learned about the real—figured out that I need to go down the real estate

path and I wouldn't have realized what I was capable of.

I would have just taken an easy job and maybe would have taken me 10 years, 15 years to

get up to the point where I was finally comfortable to make 75 bucks an hour and then I would

have realized that that's not the path that I want.

That's small potatoes as far as making money and having passive income and actually becoming

wealthy in life.

I wouldn't have figured that out early had I not taken the chance, had I not done something

that I wasn't ready for.

Are you ready?

Yeah, you're ready.

You're as ready as you can be, as you should be.

You're 18?

Go ahead!

Go apply for jobs.

GO for it!

As far as school and work, you know what, when I took that job I said, "You know what?

I don't need to go to school.

I'm going to take this opportunity.

When am I going to get an opportunity to make 75 bucks an hour at 19?

I'll quit school and I'm going to take this opportunity."

Your parents might not like that advice, but hey, you know what, I don't know about you,

but I haven't seen a degree being really valuable nowadays.

It seems like it's a lot of money and most people that I know that have degrees that

are recent graduates, they have a lot of debt and they're not happy about the degree.

Again, I don't have time in this video to talk about the—in depth of that, but check

out some of the videos in my channel, search on college and whatnot and you'll find videos

where I've talked about this in depth.

I hope that helps you.

I'm glad that you're thinking this way, but you've got to take action.

Just go ahead—you feel uncomfortable, it's fine.

You're never going to be ready, like I said, but you've got to move forward anyway.

That's all I've got for you today.

Secondary Gaming Characters Who Stole The Show - Duration: 4:51.

It's an awesome feeling being the hero of a videogame adventure and saving the day.

But sometimes, secondary characters simply steal the show, making gamers wish they had

more time to spend with these supporting players.

Here are some famous "second fiddles" who are just as interesting as the main character

— if not more so.

Elizabeth - BioShock Infinite

Exploring the sky city of Columbia as Booker DeWitt was a one-of-a-kind thrill.

But getting to play as former sidekick Elizabeth in the underwater city of Rapture in the Burial

at Sea expansion was a welcome change.

Finally seeing things from her perspective, and playing with her particular stealthy style,

was satisfying and gave her character more depth.

Getting to know to her so well from the main game made it all the more difficult to watch

her tragic story play out in the murky deep, but gamers were thankful for one more romp

around Rapture from a fresh perspective.

Nick Valentine - Fallout 4

The synthetic detective Nick Valentine was one of the more memorable characters in Fallout

4's Commonwealth, and was easily distinguishable from the rest of the riff-raff thanks to his

signature private eye getup and Humphrey Bogart-like mannerisms.

Too bad you couldn't play as him.

Yeah yeah, the game's hero has a missing son to find...but wouldn't solving Wasteland mysteries

as Robo-Bogey have been far more entertaining?

Still, having Nick as a companion isn't too shabby — plus you get treated to some of

the best dialogue in a game full of memorable exchanges.

"Skinny Malone and the rest of his boys are waiting for us, somewhere.

The name's, uh, ironic, but don't let that fool you."

Lynx - Chrono Cross

You play through most of Chrono Cross on PS One as the silent protagonist Serge, who's

a bit of a blank slate.

Luckily, there's a portion in the middle of the game that gets a little screwy and switches

your consciousness with Lynx, the game's bad guy.

It's a disorienting experience that leaves you questioning what will happen to Serge.

Becoming the bad guy while you're still trying to figure out the dreadfully confusing story

can initially be harrowing, but it's pretty cool how you're given a chance to see how

others interact with a humanoid cat person with magic powers.

In addition to the novelty of the experience, you've got a deeper understanding of the character

at the end of it.

Captain Price - Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

Soap MacTavish is the main character of the Modern Warfare arc of the Call of Duty series.

But for many gamers, Captain Price stole the show.

There's just something about this no-nonsense, badass war-dog that gamers found irresistible.

It could be because of the way his backstory played out in the famous "All Ghillied Up"

sniper mission, his reassuringly deep British accent, or just how he can face world-ending

war and still keep his mustache so finely groomed.

Either way, it was hard to have nothing but the utmost respect for the man.

King Mickey - Kingdom Hearts

The Kingdom Hearts series is full of fantastic characters and amazing locales, but one of

the best things about it is King Mickey.

The most famous mouse in the world certainly isn't a stranger to the world of video games,

but the Kingdom Hearts series makes him, for perhaps the first time ever, a bonafide badass.

Not only does King Mickey wander the many Disney worlds wearing a cool overcoat while

wielding mysterious Keyblades, he shows up exactly when you need him the most.

Taking a beloved cartoon character like Mickey Mouse and turning him into some kind of Yoda-like,

take-no-prisoners keyblade master might be the coolest thing Square Enix has ever done.

Harley Quinn - Batman: Arkham Knight

Pretty much all of the other playable characters in the Batman: Arkham series deserve their

own games.

In particular, there's fan-favorite Harley Quinn.

The Harley Quinn Story Pack DLC for Batman: Arkham Knight gave gamers a little sampling

of what it would be like to play full-time as the crazed clown-loving lady, but it left

many wanting more.

There's just so much that could be done with her character in terms of story, and she's

a joy to control, with her acrobatic attacks and exclusive Psychosis Mode, a twisted take

on Batman's Detective Mode.

Ellie - The Last of Us

Not only was the teenaged Ellie more impressive than the game's gruff hero Joel, thanks to

her insane survival skills for her age, her backstory was also more compelling.

In the Left Behind DLC, we see how she and her friend Riley made it in the post-apocalyptic

world together, and how she lived her life before getting infected.

Her relationship with Riley makes the ending of The Last of Us feel that much more poignant,

because we now better understand the extent of her loss.

Couple this with how she survived throughout all of the winter portions of the game while

simultaneously managing to keep Joel from Death's Door, and you've got one of the most

incredible video game characters in history — who's also pretty great comic relief ...

It was a booby trap."

ARAB KIDS vs UK KIDS - Duration: 4:40.

kids in the Middle East are friendlier they want to touch you they want to hold

your hand I walked into class today and the first five minutes of my lesson were

holding out my hand too just in front of me just like this I just held it there

and then they all just came up and just kind of touched my hand it's a soft

handshake not a hard handshake not like we do in the West where you kind of like

aggressive give me that it's like a fight almost they fight later but we'll

come on to that this is a very soft handshake

so they shake your hand they're very familiar they're very friendly they're

loving you have to love kids here in the UK kids and teachers have a big boundary

between them you know your teacher is somebody that you wouldn't you wouldn't

go and necessarily unless they like your favorite teacher and they were like

really cool you wouldn't go and like chat to them and and hang out with them

whereas here you know I'm sat in the staff room and there's kids just walking

in mister hello mister mister mister how how you are how are you

'cham 3amrak' (how old are you) asking me questions that happens a lot more here

than it would in England in England there's a barrier there's a boundary between the

teacher and the student there's a professional barrier there's like a

relationship a very professional relationship which maintains that

distance if you like between the teacher and the student here yes in some cases

like I'm not saying that we're we're like friendly especially the Arab

teachers they're very very strong very disciplined and very firm with them with

their you know firm in more ways than one but that's a subtle difference I

find like the way that I'm dealing with teaching here in the Middle East if

you're watching if you're thinking of working in the Middle East I've taught

in the Middle East for well years I guess combined and the the key is you

have to really care about them they can tell when you don't care about them if

you're if you're teaching kids and you don't really care about them they will

know it and they will then not take a liking to you my kids love me I would

say that straight away they love mr. mr. yes you are good you are good mister

you're good you are good they are very emotional now the emotional side has its

downside has its negatives because sometimes when you are in a class some

student might say something to the student which has caused a bit of

offense or a bit of a like a a trigger and you turn around to the whiteboard

and you turn back around and the other one is beating the other with a look of

anger and as I say almost like tears coming over his out of his eyes because

he he's so passionate about this fight that he's having and he looks like he

really really wants to hurt him you want to gather an England if you did it would

be like a once in the term event once in like a three month event so it's very

very unusual they they fight here they communicate but as part of growing up as

part of playing it's part of finding out who they are and establishing

superiority and status a student a couple of days ago said to me mister

mister our class very good today very good I said why he said we have a

new leader I said right I said who's the new leader said Sultan I said how do you

decide the leader he said he looked kind of sheepish she said sometimes good

sometimes not good like as if the way the established leader is a little bit

you know don't really want to I don't want to really I let let you and allow

you into the inner circle of how we establish superiority and kind of this

primitive leadership system within the school peer network which is a secondary

school in the Middle East I'm on 1% battery so I'm going to end it there I

really hope you benefited from this or found it insightful I think as a teacher

in the Middle East teaching Arab students a teacher hundreds of Arab

students here it is fascinating it is amazing and on this nice backdrop with

the palm trees and the UE flag I'm gonna say my name is Mike I teach Arabic from

YouTube ana udarriss al-3arabeeya bil YouTube

I hope you''ll subscribe to see more videos like this!

Texan Goes On Live TV To Defend GUN RIGHTS But His Shirt Causes A Massive Uproar(VIDEO)!!! - Duration: 9:20.

Texan Goes On Live TV To Defend GUN RIGHTS But His Shirt Causes A Massive Uproar

good evening from washington i am laura ingraham thanks for joining us tonight

pure evil that what was on display yesterday morning inside the First

Baptist Church in Sutherland Springs Texas when a gunman opened fire and

killed 26 and wounded 20 during Sunday service the victims they ranged from 18

months old to 77 years old and included the pastor's 14 year old daughter the

killer 26 year-old Devon Patrick Kelly I don't

want to use his name began shooting with an ar-15 style rifle around 11:30 a.m.

30 minutes after the service began Kelly then entered the sanctuary and gunned

down his victims many at point-blank range

authorities collected hundreds of shell casings from the church and 15 empty

magazines that held 30 rounds each joining us now to shed light on this

horrific story from Sutherland Springs Mike Jordan whose son witnessed the

attack and his close friends with the man who confronted this killer and

likely prevented more carnage and from Houston Texas Attorney General Ken

Paxton Mike let's talk to you first your son who came face to face with the

killer is so distraught I mean he was originally scheduled to join us tonight

and I don't blame him a 1-bit for being too distraught and too frankly just

don't want to deal with us anymore so thank you sir for joining us please

tell us how he is coping and what he has told you about what he came face-to-face

with well he's coping with it it's difficult a lot of his friends people

that he's known all of his life you know died in this tragedy yesterday and we've

been interviewed you know one interview after another and he's just to the point

after going to the vigil that was you know here in Solon Springs earlier he's

of the breaking point I mean he narrowly dodged three bullets that went through

his house and my grandson his son was in the house like four feet away from one

of the bullets that came through their wall

so he's he's out of it he's coping with it but he'll be okay but it's gonna take

some time did he go into the church at all himself he did after after the

shooter had been after shooter actually was engaged by another person and left

the scene my son has some medical training he did go into the church to

try to help do what he could you know to help the wounded

you know anybody he could help and I know I saw him in one interview where he

he said I can't even verbalize what I saw that's how bad and grisly it was and

the victim is very young - very old no yeah yeah we you know we had children

that were killed we had elder that were killed one person

that was a very good friend of my daughter's actually her entire family

was killed in this incident say eight people and what exactly yes exactly yeah

and you know to walk in and see that and to know after the effect that he saw

that you know find out later that these people are people he knew you know

people at him and and and my daughter knew grew up with it's it's really hard

to deal with it really is let's go to bring in the

Attorney General of Texas Ken Paxton Ken again Texas has been through a lot with

natural disasters of course the hurricane the flooding and now this how

is the community they're coping and you know what potential policy changes or

anything can you do on a governmental level given the mental health of this

individual and what we now know that the Air Force did not do after he was

subjected to court-martial his name was not entered into a background check

registry as it should have been what are the authorities in Texas saying tonight

well first of all Texans are very resilient they're just an amazing group

people you saw how they handled the hurricane and the flooding that occurred

over a week-long period of time and how well I think Texans

both organized and also just came to the rescue both in the original aftermath

and then just through the weeks this is going to be no different we'll stand

behind these people you'll see lots of support from the state you'll see lots

of support from charities from individuals and I think that ultimately

you know we'll be here for those people for a long time as far as what we can do

I mean we have laws on the book right now that basically stop people in a

technical sense from caring at a church now I think for small churches you're

going to have to we're gonna have to change the law to make it more clear

that you can carry in a church so that this gives first responders time to show

up especially in a rural community where it might take you know 10 15 20 minutes

to get to a site so I think we're gonna have to rethink this and have churches

and businesses and schools think about how they're going to deal with this in

the future okay so can you cannot is against the law in Texas to bring a gun

into a church is that what you're saying so the so the way it works now is that

you cannot bring a concealed weapon into a church however the church has to

provide you notice so if you're just reading a statute you would see yourself

as maybe not being able to do it but the truth is you can do it unless you're

given notice I think we need to make that more clear because it's likely that

people don't carry because of the way they read the statute and Michael from

what you've been able to discern was anyone in that church anyone who

survived what was anyone carrying I mean I would be surprised in Texas that if

there wasn't an individual in that church who had carried a firearm into

the church the law or no law whatever that's a kind of an odd law but I mean

they were hit from behind so they had no chance to react even if they had a gun

maybe they had cut you know tactical weapons training but it's pretty hard to

react when you're being shot at from behind well you know one of the points

here there was a individual that my son knew personally normally he carries but

small town like this you know people show up to church they disarm leave

their guns in the carpet you don't expect something like this to happen

and this particular day his wife stayed home she wasn't feeling good so he left

his firearm with her you know Sam you know I'm gonna go ahead and go to church

today well he survived fortunately he was grazed by one of the bullets they

survived and as he put it what if this was a day that he didn't leave that

firearm at home what if he did take it with him what if you did conceal while

he was in that church you know I mean yes you have a psycho shooting from the

outside in but think about that if you have one person on the inside that is

armed to return fire it may not have stopped people from dying but it would

have stopped that many people from dying it would have been a distraction it

would have got the guys attention that hey somebody's shooting at me what do I

do now well Mike what the the left the American left is saying many and the

left are saying is that Republicans have blood on their hands because they're

bought and paid for by the NRA that's what they're saying tonight really well

that's amazing because the NRA has lots of great programs for children they

teach you know firearm training the NRA Republicans no one's responsible for

this and the left keeps putting blame let me put it this way today a very good

friend of mine engaged today excuse me yesterday a very good friend of mine

engaged the shooter with his ar-15 he ran from his home to the shooting site

less than a block from the house here he engaged the shooter with his ar-15 and

he shot the guy he we know for a fact he shot him at least two to three times it

got to get stopped the guy it stopped him from that point the shooter then ran

got in his vehicle my friend shot him again they pursued then later down the

road after chased the guy crashed and that was the end of it but we think

think about it this way yes we lost 20 right now account as 26 people that we

lost yesterday in this tragedy but there was many more people in that church that

if he had not engaged that shooter with his own arm if yeah if the Liberals if

the Liberals have their way and we're not able to protect ourselves and he was

not able to do what he did think about how many more people

would have died and my son who lived across the street think about what would

have happened there what if that guy had pursued him his wife and my grandson the

tragedy happened twice as bad my can can thank you so much for joining

us both of you as we just heard

How to Not Care What Other People Think - Confident Self-Esteem Tips - Duration: 6:18.

caring what other people think about you will be the ultimate cause of

unhappiness you will end up living a life by other people's design and you

will die filled with regret you won't do what you really want to do and caring

what other people think can be the root of some major psychological problems

like anxiety and depression so you want to stop it let's figure out why you care

first hey guys it's practical psychology and this video is a collaboration with

Joshua Hudson licensed therapist and owner of the YouTube channel pinnacle of

man which teaches you how to get your ideal mates by reaching your full

potential in the realms of dating relationship and overall life

satisfaction check out his channel in the description if you enjoy the rest of

this video there are two main reasons why you care about what people think the

first one is that you want something from them this may be out of your

awareness but it is usually things like staying employed by a boss approval from

a cute girl or simply being accepted by your friends and family this causes you

to value their opinion about yourself more than your own the second way is

that you want to cling to an identity you have about yourself

let's look at how these played out with myself when I would try to meet women in

the past I cared way too much about what they thought about me at the time

because deep down I believed that their approval of me would make me happy

this led to an unequal interaction where I was sacrificing my own beliefs and

personality in exchange for acceptance what was even worse was that I viewed

myself as a quote unquote expert at the time because I thought other guys had a

meet woman and even wrote a book about it every time a girl wasn't into me

right away I would immediately reject myself before they had a chance to I

also struggle with this trying to make videos that I know will also reach a lot

of people and will provide me with a sufficient income to keep producing

content but also make videos that aren't really sexy or clickbait tea that I know

that will help people who need to watch it so how do you get over this dilemma

the first way is by having firm boundaries about what you allow in your

life people and behavior included knowing what you want to stand for put

some mission higher than what other people can give you it is something only

you have power over imagine yourself as a great city your boundaries are the

walls that define who you are they can keep people you don't want out they also

clearly identify who you are and thus make others into

sit in living inside you well in a metaphorical sense living with you I

remember as far back as seven years ago in college I had extreme social anxiety

I would go to parties and functions and feel as if everyone just got it they

just knew how to effortlessly talk to others and be themselves

I became isolated and completely depressed I didn't know who I was or

what I wanted and because of that I had no force behind me to guide my actions

so the first step in becoming someone that doesn't care about others is to

create a higher purpose this doesn't have to be a religion more like a

passion that only you have the power to create I made a video about how to find

your purpose or passion on my channel if you guys want to go check it out

essentially all you do is just ask yourself if I had all the time and money

in the world what would I do my best tip to finding your higher

purpose is to try a whole bunch of things I know what you're good at and

then find a way to help people doing it for example I'm really good at

explaining topics in a way that other people can relate and understand and

with this channel I could help a whole bunch of people so I absolutely love it

I also get paid to do it so I feel like this is my purpose right

now and there's not much you can say that will actually get to me two years

ago though when this channel was actually a web cam version of book

reviews I was super self-conscious and I took to

heart a lot of what every single comment said where you have that higher goal in

mind people you meet places you go and even thoughts you have go through a

filter of that higher purpose the second way is to be more open with who you are

you see oftentimes we worry what others will think because there are parts of us

we think if shared won't be accepted however the opposite tends to be true

when you own up to even the worst sides of yourself people tend to respect your

honesty this means speaking some taboo thoughts that aren't always socially

acceptable comedians like louis c.k highlight this when talking about how

awful his kids can be at times something that all parents think but few often say

the third and final way is to stop taking praise so damn seriously the less

you're attached to compliments the less you will be attached to criticism I mean

yeah it's great to get compliments and feel good but don't be swayed by the

passing thoughts I try to create something lasting and get fulfillment

from genuinely helping people not by getting them to compliment

me or being some part of a circle jerk community if we were to be elated by a

video that gets a lot of praise but then the next week our video gets no views

and downloaded into oblivion we'd be more likely to be affected and lose

motivation to make more videos and the same can go with women if you're on top

of the world because you just got some cute girls number but then later on she

flakes on you you'll be devastated instead look at what other people say

and do as their opinion and simply that it's their opinion when someone says you

didn't say that even though you did what they actually mean is I didn't hear that

I heard something else you know what your reality is and they know what their

reality is and that's all you can know and that's all they can know so when

someone says something to you whether it's good or bad understand that it's

just their perspective their opinions from the facts that they have gathered

Don Miguel Ruiz talks about this in the second law of four in his book The Four

Agreements he says whatever happens around you don't take it personally

nothing other people do is because of you it is because of themselves all

people live in their own dream in their own mind they are in a completely

different world from the one that we live in when we take something

personally we make the assumption that they know what is in our world and we

try to impose our world on their world I hope you guys enjoyed this collaboration

and if you're interested in learning more of what Josh has to offer check out

his channel in the description he's also got some awesome content and is always

working on improving it also he's a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist

that reviewed my new course the psychology of Attraction actually he

helped me with the section on attachment theory if you're curious on how to get

girls to like you reading their body language or other psychological things

that could help you meet and find your dream girl check out psychology of

Attraction calm I hope this video helped you guys and thanks so much for watching

Installing a garage opener on the dashboard of the iO/Pinin - Duration: 9:42.

My name is Claudio and I'm passionate about making things and hacking daily life

objects to make them more useful and more interesting. On this episode you'll

follow a project intended to eliminate this from inside the car:

the battery-operated remote garage opener. This is something most people

have around their cars. You have to pick it up when it'd time to open the gate,

it has tiny buttons, batteries to change... The idea here is to have a system

built into the car's dashboard, with a nice button to activate the garage door.

In this case we'll do a 2-door setup. This is a fairly common configuration around here,

where many residential buildings have a couple of gates, with a security enclosure

between them. The 2-button setup is also good to use with garages at home and at work,

or for more than one home. Of course the project can be adapted for one,

two, three, as many doors as you need, it's the same principle.

Let's now have a look at it!

Episode 2: Built-In Garage Door Opener

The inspiration for this project comes from the Mercedes cars sold in the US (and other regions)

that come with programmable garage openers on their internal rearview mirrors,

with a programming mode that "learns" the codes from a variety of remote controls

up to 3 different doors / gates.

After the programming it's a matter of pressing the right button, as shown in this promotional video

with instructions for new owners.

In the Mitsubishi iO / Pinin, we'll use this little three-button panel on the left.

On the cars sold in Brazil, there's a button for the fog lights,

and 2 empty spaces. It's quite easy to remove this panel to see what's inside.

You can open the little storage bin under the panel and push it out with your fingers.

It pops out easily, disconnecting from the foglight plug. You can see that there are two holes

where connectors for other buttons should be. We'll use them to pass our new cables.

We'll also use the space in the middle of the dashboard, where the original clock is located, to house

our radio transmitters. It's a nice space because its cover is light plastic,

easy to remove, it's easy to work around this nice opening on the top, and it doesn't block the radio signals too much

This plastic cover is held in place by four plastic pins

on the sides. I'll show this in more detail later.

For now I want to show you what other goodies are hidden in here besides storage space.

We have ground (GND), and 12 volts when the key is on ACC position.

For this project we will not use the always-on 12V required by the clock.

In summary, we'll use:

Two push buttons on the left, the radios inside the center clock hump, a also from here

we'll get ACC 12V and ground.

We'll have to find ILL+ (12V on when the parking lights or headlamps are on)

somewhere else — from the ashtray for example.

I found these "TX-Car" garage opener modules, intended for use in cars and motorcycles.

The manual says they work on 12 volts and require very little current,

which is great for the project. We also don't have to worry about polarity when connecting them.

But they say you should connect them in parallel with the high beams...

and that is not appropriate since we don't want to flash the high beams and open

two gates simultaneously. I wanted to use this combination dual button

from the iO / Pinin sold in Japan and the UK, but no car in Brazil

was ever sold with them, making that a bad option..

But found out that the full Pajero / Montero / Shoguns sold in Brazil

also had the exact same button.

So I searched for the part in the used market and Mit shops.

I bought this used button in decent condition

and it has 6 connectors on the back. They'll be used as follows.

The first 2 pins (1 and 2) are for the first push button and will command one of the

garage openers. Pins 5 and 6 will do the same for the other gate.

The middle 3, 4 pins are for providing power to

light up the button at night. Now let's assemble everything.

Here I'm soldering 6 of the 8 wires from a regular CAT5 network cable to the button connectors

to bring all of its connection to the middle space where the radios will be.

I'll make all the actual connections to the car wires through this 3-pin plug.

making it easier to build everything on the workbench and install it quickly in the car

when it't time to test. Here I join the two GND wires from the radio modules

together and run the 12V ACC through each of the buttons. I'll crimp

the connectors and then solder everything to get nice connections.

Now I'll assemble the connector and reinforce everything with tape

to avoid any mechanic stress when the car shakes,

...and you know how much a Pinin / iO shakes!

Time to test. First I try the illumination by providing 12V on pins 5 and 6 of the button

All is good, current draw is low as expected.

The I test the current draw with one and both radios operating together, to

make sure current is within safe limits of the network cable.

This is very important: CAT5 network cable can only handle about 0.5 amps.

Don't even think about using it for anything more demanding!

Now I take the little panel and insert our new button

in the central hole. It fits nicely (after all it's an original part!)

Here's an overview of the whole assembly. The button has its connections

reinforced with tape and a fold to make the network cable a bit more rigid, and

on the other end goes the 3-pin connector that plugs into the car wires.

On the opposite end of the network cable I used a standard RJ-45 join.

That will ease the work of routing the cables through the inner parts of the dashboard.

Here's a closer view from the 3-pin connector where the actual car connections

will arrive.

We'll patch the 12V ACC and GND from the clock wires,

and ILL+ from the ash tray, all through this connector.

This is the path followed by the network cable inside the dash:

It goes under the steering wheel assembly and then right through the center console

From there it goes up to the clock hump.

Through the glove box you can access this area. The glove box comes out

by squeezing it from the sides. It pops out and falls free. Here's the area through which

you can handle the cables from the button and from the ashtray bulb.

Up here you can now see where the cables emerge – the blue CAT5 from the button,

the green ILL+ from the ashtray, and the patches I did on the clock cable for 12V ACC and GND,

as shown in the beginning of the video. Now all we have to do is connect

everything. I plugged the radios to the 3-pin connector

and then the CAT5 cable to its sibling coming from the buttons.

It was a nice surprise to find this cozy little niche, which looks perfect to

house the radio transmitters. Fits perfectly, so no need to glue anything.

Time to organize all cables and close the hump.

The glove box comes back in place by aligning the bottom and pushing it back closed.

First let's try the illumination of the buttons. Then we'll program the garage motor controller board

to accept command from our new modules. Our system required ACC power on

and this brand of garage motor requires two presses of the button, while in programming mode,

to pair with the module. Now a single press for the final test.

I think the project worked very well. It's amazing how clumsy those garage remotes are

We get used to them, of course. But I'm using this hack for 2 days now,

opening two gates with nice, big, lighted buttons,

that are always in the same place in the car...

instead of looking for the tiny remote inside the object bin on the left.

Looking back at the project's execution, I'm not sure I'd use CAT5 network cables again

It seemed like the right choice, it has 8 wires and I needed 6 to connect

the button on the other side of the car. But it's hard to work with, brittle,

difficult to solder... I think CAT5 cables are not really meant to be used

without their intended RJ connectors.

Another possible improvement to the project is about the icons on the buttons.

The buttons look nice and are big, lighted, and easy to use,

but they have icons for fog lights on them.

It would be nice to have some other indications on them, such as the numbers 1 and 2,

or some other kind of drawing, as long as we preserve the lighting and a nice finish.

A was actually afraid of damaging the buttons

but the idea remains. If you have a good idea, a suggestion

on how to do this with a great look, please bring it here on the video comments,

and we'll study it to make an improved version of the project.

I hope you enjoyed this video,

just for watching or for inspiring you to do something with your car

or any other object. If you do, please

spend a "like" here, and subscribe to the channel to know when the next hack comes.

We have nice things coming. See you soon!

Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade Balloon - Boog 'n Shoog - Duration: 3:44.

Boog 'n Shoog HAHAHAHA

UGH Theres nothing to watch on TV.

I know. You'd think there would be plenty to watch on Thanksgiving morning.

I don't even know what these shows are. Whats a "Soap Opera"?

I think thats pretty self explanatory don't you?

Where's all the cartoons? Probably on YouTube.

Its Thanksgiving. I wanna be thankful for some fun TV shows.

WAIT! Whats that?

THE THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE! How could we forget about the Thanksgiving Day Parade?

Its my favorite. Marching bands, Singers

Famous people.

and best of all BALLOONS!

I love the balloons. Did I ever tell you my dream was to be a balloon in the Thanksgiving day parade?

Ummm…No.

It really is. I would just love to float around waving to people. So much fun.

You do know you can't be a balloon right?

I can be whatever I imagine.

I want to be a balloon. I want to be a balloon.

Float float float float float float floaty float. Float float float float float float floaty float.

I want to be a balloon. I want to be a balloon.

Float float float float float floaty float. Float float float float float floaty float.

I want to be a balloon. In the Thanksgiving Day Paraaaaaade.

Float float float float float float floaty float.

It would be so fun to be, a balloon floating around in the Thanksgiving day parade.

It would be so fun. Float float float float float float floaty

float. Float float float float float float floaty float. Float float float float float

float floaty float. Float float float float float float floaty float.

I want to be a balloon in the Thanksgiving Day Parade. It would be so fun.

So what do you think of my crazy dream now?

Well I don't want to inflate your ego. I know you'd have to pull a lot of strings to float through life like that

However I think I really like it.

Awesome, now I cant wait to tell you about my other dream of becoming one of Santa's reindeer.

Oh Boog. Im very thankful for you.

And Im very thankful for you too Shoog.

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYBODY!

What I've learned in JAPAN by Sebastiano Serafini - Duration: 4:35.

Sebastiano Serafini from Japan is going to do the laundryyyyyyyyy....

Hello, I'm Sebastiano Serafini from Japan, today I show you a video that was not at the beginning programmed,

well but I thought that I need to do a video like this, because sometimes my mum calls me and asks what I'm doing.

And I'm doing the laundry,

in Japan you can do the laundry also at home and then you can hang the wet clothes in the bathroom,

the bathrooms here are super high-tech, but I can't figure it out how they work,

and always when I'm doing the laundry and the clothes need to dry, it rains,

and so I decide to come here where it cost about 80 cent,

100 yen, and after 30-40 minutes the clothes are dry.

The difference then the italian laudries, is that here you wash at a cold temperature,

you don't ruin the clothes and in the same time this washing method works,

because the spots slip away!

The nice thing is... (they turned the light on)...

there was an old man and I thought I needed to go away,

I'm doing these videos for you in every corner of Japan...

I want to show you this country that I LOVE,

and I hope you can see my love towards Japan,

for me it's like Alice in wonderland

maybe I'm changing this channels name in Seba in wonderland.

I also want to do this video to thank you, because every day this channel keeps growing,

and to have the possibility to show you Japan from my point of view,

I live here for so many years, and this place changed my life and my character changed also thanks to Japan,

because before I came here I was often angry, I losed the patience,

and here I learned to accept the things as they were,

maybe I said that in another video, it's called the "Shoganai",

things go that way and I can't do nothing about that.

The first years that I lived here I didn't understand very well the meaning of that saying,

because well I realised how life goes...

(what kind of video am I doing?

I wanted do talk about laundry and it turned out that I'm getting quite emotional)❤

You need to know that every day I have a confrontation with new things

I learn new things and being able to divide them with you it makes me very happy!

So, I wanted to thank you that you're here and

if you have any kind of questions, PLEASE ask them in the comments below,

posting one video every day at 2pm (italian time) it's a challenge that I want to mantain at least for 1 year!

because there aren't in my opinion so many italians that show Japan,

well, there are a few that show Japan from another point of view,

but I want to show you also my point of view, because I live here.

For the people that are following me also in the other Social networks (I leave you the link)

see a more stylish Seba, where I'm always at Fashion-Events,

but Japan is not only that,

Japan is also daily life,

going to the supermarket, walk through the streets, speak with people...

for example today I was eating Tayaki and the chief explained me everything about Tayaki,

and also at the Takoyaki one.

I hear to often that the Japanese people are cold or false

I heard a lot of bad things

and I must say that I'm here since soo long and my friends are mostly Japanese

and I need to say that this country gave me and is giving me so much,

since the beginning I was very welcomed,

I don't know if it was luck or only the fact that I wanted to get involved.

You are different than the Japanese people and you need to get involved; maybe learn the language - go for it,

it's very important if you want to be acknowledged.

To be part of a nation you need to take part of the community,

you need obviously to learn the language and culture.

I actually don't know how to call this video,

because in this video I talked about everything,

it's like a call to a friend

maybe I'm calling it: "call a friend - contrasting opinions"

I would like to thank you that are following me,

Japan that is hosting me

and all the beautiful things that are happening to me! Thank you LIFE.

See you tomorrow always at 2pm (Italian time). CIAO!

Demo SAP Business One 9.3 - portal analityczny - Duration: 11:20.

Witam i zapraszam do obejrzenia prezentacji na temat portalu analitycznego w SAP Business One 9.3.

Dostęp do raportów w dowolnym miejscu i czasie to jeden z głównych elementów pomocnych w zarządzaniu firmą.

Portal analityczny daje organizacji możliwość dostępu do istotnych raportów z różnych urządzeń.

Aby uzyskać dostęp do portalu należy w Google Chrome wpisać link https://<hana-server>:<Port>/Portal uzupełniając o indywidualny serwer HANA i adres portu.

Zobaczmy teraz scenariusz biznesowy.

Aby to zrobić, wybieramy odpowiedni serwer, firmową bazę danych, a następnie wpisujemy swoją nazwę użytkownika i hasło.

Aby łatwo rozróżnić rodzaje, raporty Excel, mają ikonkę Excel obok nazwy raportu, a diament symbolizuje Crystal Reports.

W swoim widoku, Jason doda teraz dwie pozycje do ulubionych: raport szans sprzedaży i roczną analizę sprzedaży według raportu kwartalnego.

W naszym przykładzie będzie to roczna analiza sprzedaży w ujęciu kwartalnym.

Jeśli przejdziemy z powrotem do pozycji "Wszystkie raporty" możemy zauważyć małą, czerwoną ikonkę obok rocznego raportu analizy sprzedaży.

Aby to zrobić, wróćmy do naszych wszystkich raportów.

Możemy zaplanować raport co tydzień, rozpocząć go o określonej godzinie i jeśli chcemy ustawić czas zakończenia. U nas niech będzie to koniec roku.

Wybieramy Billa i Donne.

Jeśli chcemy, wpisujemy temat i wszelkie komentarze związane z raportem.

Dlatego też użytkownicy potrzebują pełnej autoryzacji do uruchamiania różnych raportów w Crystal Reports np. rocznej analizy sprzedaży według raportu kwartalnego.
