Youtube daily report Nov 14 2017

• From goat eggs to grass fed coffee beans, the Planet Dolan crew re-enact some of the

best true stories from our subreddit about the dumbest questions we've been asked at

work.

I'm Hellbent and today I'll be your narrator.

Number 10 was submitted by KillDozer688 MKyleM

MKyleM used to work at an open farm caring for goats and chickens.

The goats were his main focus, but MKyleM often had to keep an eye out for chicken eggs.

Because the chickens were free-roaming, they would often lay eggs in the goats' hayrack.

When MKyleM came out of one of the goat houses with a few chicken eggs, he found a woman

and her son watching him.

The kid asked, "Are those goat eggs?"

MKyleM just said, "No, goat eggs are purple and made of chocolate."

Number 9 was submitted by De-La-Rossa99 Ramona

When Ramona was 16 she subbed for the receptionist at a salon.

One day, an elderly woman wearing a red pantsuit, luxurious brown furs, stiletto heels, and

oversized sunglasses, came in carrying her little Pomeranian.

She went up to Ramona and asked her what haircuts they offered.

Ramona pulled out a stylebook of the latest hair trends and dyes.

The lady settled on dying her hair and just a simple cut.

As Ramona led her to the part of the salon where they do hair, she asked, "Can you do

the same for my dog?"

Ramona had to tell her politely, no, since this was clearly a salon for humans.

She flipped out and started barking at her like she was stupid.

Luckily the owner stepped in.

Number 8 was submitted by maddog197x Civil Spider

When Civil Spider worked at Panera Bread, a guy walked in late one evening.

He asked if they were serving any of their breakfast items.

Civil Spider told him they stop selling breakfast items at 10:30.

The customer gave him a look and said, "So why aren't you still selling them right now?"

Civil Spider had to explain that he meant 10:30 in the morning.

The place isn't even open at 10.30 pm.

The man slowly nodded and said, "Well, that's fine.

I came here to get mac and cheese anyway."

In his head, Civil Spider thought: then why the hell did you ask about breakfast?!

Number 7 was submitted by VolitantTooth Ladybot

Ladybot used to work as a lifeguard at a beach in a conservative town, and was often questioned

by religious people about her beliefs.

This could get a little uncomfortable, since several members of the staff weren't exactly

straight.

She generally tried to keep that information secret, for obvious reasons.

One day though, a middle-aged mother ran up to her, red-faced with her son in tow.

She yelled at Ladybot: "WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPURIFY MY SON WITH YOUR UNHOLY DESIRES?"

Number 6 was submitted by Crazy_Coyote_KY SweetCommando

When SweetCommando was working the counter at a bakery, a man came in and ordered a dozen

donuts.

After receiving his order, the man then asked if SweetCommando was sure there were a dozen

donuts in the box.

SweetCommando opened the box to recount.

He got to 12 and the man asked, "Where's the last one?"

The man said it was the law that they had to give him 13 donuts, or a "bakery" dozen.

SweetCommando had to explain several things.

First, the man had ordered a dozen donuts not a baker's dozen.

Second, it's a 'baker's dozen' not a bakery dozen.

And most importantly, there is no law that says a bakery has to sell donuts in that number.

The man took his order and said he was never coming back.

He was back three days later.

Number 5 was submitted by PuntifulJokes Doopie

When Doopie worked as a waitress at a little coffee shop she would sometimes get questions

from people that didn't know much about coffee, like "What does three shots mean?"

One day, a guy came in and when it was his turn to order, Doopie asked him nicely what

he wanted.

His response was "Are your coffee beans grass fed organic?"

She explained that coffee beans are plants and aren't fed grass.

He asked again: "So are they grass fed or not?"

Doopie couldn't get through to him so just told him no, they were not grass fed.

The man left the shop without ordering.

Number 4 was submitted by Tattoed_Wolf_Girl21 Robo

Robo worked at a movie theatre as a cleaner, cleaning the cinemas, and the bathrooms.

One day she was in charge of checking the women's bathroom every half-hour, just to

make sure there wasn't a huge mess.

As Robo entered one of them, a woman followed her in and asked: "Excuse me, where is the

bathroom?"

***

Robo stared at her for a moment to see if she was joking, but she was actually serious.

The woman patiently waited for Robo so she just pointed towards the stalls.

The woman looked at them and said with a smile "Oh!

I thought this was the boys room - thanks so much!"

Then she walked out of the bathroom.

Number 3 was submitted by Xylia_Mai_Tsukino Pandora

Pandora worked at a 'Dollar Tree', which is a place that sells random things for $1.00

each, hence the name Dollar Tree.

One day she was at the register waiting to check someone out when another woman just

a few feet away spoke to her.

"Excuse me?

How much is this?" she asked.

"It's a dollar ma'am," Pandora replied, trying not to be insulting.

"Oh...

And how much is this?"

She asked pointing to a cup.

"It's also a dollar.

Everything here is a dollar ma'am," Pandora replied, biting her tongue.

The store had signs EVERYWHERE saying, "Everything's a dollar!"

The signs in the window said the same thing.

Number 2 was submitted by Calcifer84 Cid

Cid once worked at an 12th century motte-and-bailey Castle in England, which is essentially a

big stonewalled fort with a fancy portcullis gatehouse.

While on a break and heading to the toilet, a confused young tourist with a kid stopped

him and asked, "S'cuse me?

Where is the castle?"

Cid thought she was joking, but it quickly dawned on him that she wasn't.

He said "You're already at the castle, miss," and he gestured with his hand to the surrounding

buildings and the castle walls.

She replied "No, not this, the real castle."

Cid insisted, "This is the real castle".

She started talking slower like he was dumb.

"Noooo, the castle?

Big tall thing with pointy turrets, towers and a drawbridge."

Cid explained again: "Miss, this is the castle, you're within its walls now.

We are standing in its central courtyard, that's the gatehouse you just walked through..."

She then cut him off.

" I don't believe this!

You're advertised as a bloody Castle for [beep] sake.

All that's here is a stonewall!"

She later complained and demanded her money back saying it didn't look anything like castles

in films.

When asked what films, she replied 'Disney'.

(slow hip-hop music)

Hey guys, like I said we got

a 2000 Chevy Silverado 4 by 4.

This one's gonna have the 2, 2 and a half inch

Rough Country leveling kit.

It's got the level up front, then it's got the larger blocks

in the back bringing the back up a little bit.

But then he's running it completely level

by letting the front end down just a touch.

And then what he's running for wheels and tires

is the 20 by 10 Fuel Hostage, negative 24 offset.

Those are gonna be a decent lip size wheel.

Fuel does a good job at getting the most they can.

So you see it's probably just over three inches,

probably three and a quarter.

And then it's gonna be wrapped

in Federal Couragia MTs, 33, 12 and a half.

I think Federal gets a hard rap for these tires,

but I've had them, I've run them, I've loved them.

They're really good in the mud,

and they actually wear pretty well.

The last set we had I think we were

at like 35,000 miles or something like that,

and still had plenty of tread when we actually sold them.

So, I've got absolutely no complaints.

You can see he's not afraid to take them

into the mud a little bit.

'Cause they've got a lot of grip they'll start picking up

a lot of mud and give you good traction.

And then front to back this one,

I'll call it the do-it-your-selfer,

but he does know what he's doing.

So front to back I'll kinda show you

all the different things he's done.

He built the entire front bumper himself.

You'll see that the entire truck's bed-lined

which he also did himself.

He's got a pair of six inch pods

up in the front bumper there that he cut in.

Then a couple of shackles.

The whole bumper is custom made.

You'll see he's got the Spyder headlights back here.

So we always talk about Ebay headlights.

There's Ebay, No Name Brand, and then there's Spyder

which a lot of people will find on Ebay,

which is one of the better brands we've run into

and we've actually seen pretty good quality as far as

light output and longevity and all that.

And then you'll see he's got a 50 inch light bar

curved up on the roof there.

With some low profile mounts so it keeps it

about level with the roof of the truck.

It's probably up inch, inch and a half above the roof level.

And then you see he's got the vent visors,

tow mirrors, some tint up front.

And then front to back he had a little bit of rust

so he started going at it with the bed-liner

and basically covered all of that up.

The whole concept of this one is keep the cost down

and build a truck that you're proud to drive.

So he did a good job of keeping everything clean.

You see a lot of these do-it-yourself jobs

where people just kinda throw stuff on the truck

but you can tell he actually

took his time and put the thing together.

And you see he's got a Tonneau cover up there,

that's gonna be the Lund.

That's a low profile soft cover.

It's probably up about an inch and a half.

And then a matching rear bumper that he built himself

with the four inch pods in the back there.

So it's got the six Diode four inch pods.

And then a custom receiver hitch flagpole.

And then same thing on the back of it,

he's got the Spyder tails, all LED tails up top

and then standard reverse lights.

And these we've had good luck too.

It's very popular, lots of people running them.

As you see it's pretty stock inside.

But for a 2000, I mean talking about a 17 year old truck,

definitely kept it clean.

I was telling them these are some of my favorite ones

because I had probably 20 vehicles just like this.

Back in the day my goal was to build as much as I can

for under 5,000 bucks you know.

$5 to $10,000 between buying the vehicle

and also doing the build on it.

You see he's also got the bullet shell casing antennae.

Wouldn't be surprised if he built that himself.

Exhaust, you gotta see this.

We'll tell the state troopers not to look right now,

because they don't like custom exhausts.

He build his own muffler.

I've not heard of that before.

It's nice because it's quiet when you start it up,

but when it gets going, and gets the throttle on it

it actually has a good growl to it.

So, that is pretty much gonna be it.

That's your 2000 Chevy Silverado 4 by 4.

It's got the leveling kit on it,

then it's got the 20 by 10s and the 33 Couragia's.

Peace.

24Hrs After Racist Kaepernick Gets Citizen Award He Gets BAD News About White Guy Who Gets It Now. - Duration: 5:14.

24Hrs After Racist Kaepernick Gets Citizen Award He Gets BAD News About White Guy Who

Gets It Now.

Yesterday, GQ Magazine executives unveiled their pick for "Citizen of the Year, " and

of course, the left-leaning publication whose readership consists mostly of Beta males chose

Colin Kaepernick.

People across social media ripped into the magazine for picking such a controversial

person considering that there were so many others out there that were more worthy of

the award.

Now, just a day after Kaepernick was given this title he has received some bad news that

he could lose the award to someone much more deserving.

For over a year, the left has lauded Colin Kaepernick as some sort of "freedom fighter"

that is standing against racial injustice in America.

Somehow the irony is lost on these liberals in the mainstream media that Kaepernick is

a multi-millionaire who has not suffered an ounce of prejudice in his life.

At any rate, the left has propped Kaepernick up as their hero and parade him around despite

the fact that he has done nothing to improve race relations in the country.

Evidently, that is all the liberals need though to award someone with the title "Citizen

of the Year."

Thankfully, not everyone in the country agrees with Kaepernick being given this title considering

that there are many other people out there that deserve it.

One of those people that think this award given to Kaepernick is a sham is former ESPN

host Britt McHenry who took to Twitter to point out who she thinks deserves the award

more.

McHenry mentions the apparent person that should be celebrated, and I am sure the majority

of Americans would agree.

Then McHenry goes right to the crux of the issue and mentions the disgusting socks, communist

shirt, offensive statements he and his Muslim girlfriend have made designed to inflame the

masses.

However, the best part of McHenry's entire Twitter thread is when she educated all those

who say she doesn't understand the importance of Kaepernick's protest.

Here is more from NY Daily News:

Britt McHenry is taking a stand against GQ naming Colin Kaepernick its "Citizen of

the Year" for taking a knee.

The former ESPN reporter bashed GQ and Kaepernick on Twitter Monday shortly after the magazine

announced it would be honoring the polarizing quarterback.

"Wear socks depicting police officers as pigs; wear Fidel Castro as a fashion statement

IN MIAMI; sue NFL for collusion when gf compares owners to slave owners…Win Citizen of the

Year.

Serve in the US military…nothing.

What a joke, GQ.

#Kaepernick," McHenry wrote.

McHenry has frequently criticized Kaepernick for initiating the national anthem protest

movement.

McHenry was one of 100 ESPN employees let go by the network in late April.

The recognizable sports reporter later said she believed her conservative views had something

to do with her firing.

Since being let go by ESPN, McHenry has frequently appeared as a guest on Fox News.

McHenry has also taken to Twitter to voice her conservative views.

In recent weeks McHenry has praised Donald Trump, insinuated Hillary Clinton "rigged"

the Democratic National Convention and criticized Spurs coach Gregg Popovich for discussing

politics in his interviews.

GQ said they decided to honor Kaepernick due to his activism both on and off the field.

"Colin Kaepernick's determined stand puts him in rare company in sports history: Muhammad

Ali, Jackie Robinson — athletes who risked everything to make a difference," the editors

of GQ wrote.

McHenry later said she does, in fact, understand the underlying reason behind the protests,

but believes players such as Malcolm Jenkins and Kenny Stills were more worthy choices.

"For those who think I don't get the reason for protest you're wrong," McHenry wrote.

"Eagles Malcolm Jenkins met with lawmakers to help community.

Dolphins Kenny Stills met with Miami police.

More examples of Citizen of the Year."

McHenry also said J.J.

Watt would have been a better choice for Citizen of the Year.

The Texans defensive end raised more than $37 million for Hurricane Harvey relief.

"JJ Watt raised $37 million for Hurricane Harvey victims.

37 MILLION!

But Kaepernick refused to stand for our national anthem (a year ago) and is Citizen of the

Year.

Right…," McHenry wrote.

If GQ Magazine truly desired to celebrate someone in America that was doing the right

thing, they should have given it to Houston Texans star J.J.

Watt, who raised more than $37 million to aid the victims of Hurricane Harvey in September.

Watts used his platform in the NFL to help people in his community with action but somehow

to the left that isn't the "good citizen" they are looking to applaud.

The left is only concerned with praising people in the media that are willing to tear America

apart and not unify it.

Kaepernick was chosen since he represents everything that they are and he is the perfect

person to manipulate, and he doesn't even see it.

It would be fantastic to see GQ Magazine remove this race-baiter from their cover and give

this award to someone who truly deserves it, but that won't happen until we the people

start pushing back even more.

How A Cargo Ship Helped Win WW2: The Liberty Ship Story - Duration: 7:21.

In the frigid autumn of 1940, hundreds of cargo ships travel across the Atlantic.

It's a desperate effort to keep Britain supplied in its war effort against Nazi

Germany. But they're being decimated by enemy ships and submarines. In 1940 alone,

Germany will sink over 1,000 Allied ships. Britain is at risk of being

starved of supplies. The Allies response is brutally simple. Find a way to build

thousands of cargo ships and build them faster than Germany can ever hope to

sink them. In just four years, America will construct over 2,700

Liberty class cargo ships and each will be built not in months, but mere weeks.

Some in a matter of days. These ugly and hastily built ships will be loaded to

the brim and sent overseas. And they're going to help the Allies win the war.

By late 1940, much of Europe had fallen to Nazi Germany and the British

Commonwealth now stood alone in its fight. But the island nation was being

starved of much-needed supplies for its war effort. German U-boats,warships and

aircraft were inflicting heavy losses to incoming shipping traffic, sinking ships

faster than Britain could replace them. The United States, although not yet at

war, was playing a vital role in supplying Britain in its war effort. And

its enormous industrial capacity was critical to helping Britain stay in the

fight. But with Germany sinking ships daily, Britain and America desperately

needed a way to keep all that war material moving. The problem was, in the

entire decade prior, America had only built a couple dozen ships. So at the

start of 1941, US President Franklin Roosevelt announces the emergency

shipbuilding program. It'll be an enormous effort to produce ships on an

unprecedented scale. But to do that, they'll need to build a special kind of

ship. Dreadful looking objects. That's how President Roosevelt described

Liberty ships when he first saw their design.

Time magazine nicknamed them ugly ducklings. They're not much to look at

and from a design standpoint there's also really nothing remarkable about

them. With 10,000 tons of cargo capacity, they are a large ship for the day, but

they're also obsolete. Their design is 60 years old. Based off a British ship built

in the 19th century, they're powered by an antiquated compound steam engine.

They're under powered. If the Atlantic seas are rough enough

and moving in the wrong direction, a Liberty might not be able to move

forward at all. Most liberties were given like defenses a 3-inch bow gun and a

four or five inch stern gun along with anti-aircraft weaponry. They were crewed by

45 volunteer Merchant Mariner and one or two dozen Navy armed guard. But in

reality, the heroic men who served aboard these ships were vulnerable and paid a

heavy price. But Liberty ships aren't remarkable for their capabilities out at sea.

The history they made was in how they were built. Their design

is deliberately basic. Because that's what's going to allow for thousands to

be built, with most being constructed in just a few weeks. Liberty ships

aren't expected to last. They're engineered lifespan is only five years.

But if a Liberty Ship can make just one single trip across the ocean with cargo,

well that's a success worth the two million dollar price tag. That's how

desperate the situation was. The task of constructing Liberty ships will be

assigned to 18 shipyards to spread across the coastal United States and

they'll soon be producing Liberty ships at an incredible rate. By 1943, these

shipyards will launch a new ship on average every eight hours. There's

two revolutionary changes in shipbuilding that'll make this enormous

feed possible. The first is welding. Up until this point, almost all ships were

built by riveting pieces together, a slow process requiring skill and physical

strength. but Liberty ships workforce would not be skilled. Most would be

plucked off farms and nearly a third would be women. Welding would drastically

speed up the assembly process. The second revolutionary step will bring assembly

line logic to the shipbuilding industry. Instead of building a ship from start to

finish, thousands of components will be

manufactured at the same time, at different locations and then brought to

the shipyard for final assembly. Where it used to take six months to construct a

Liberty sized ship, by 1944 it was taking on average only 42 days.

And shipyards would compete to see how fast they could build them. One yard

would finish a Liberty in a month and another would break this record, doing it

in just three weeks. Then in November of 1942, the Richmond shipyards in

California managed to build a Liberty in just four days and

fifteen hours. And then it broke in two. Okay, so not that particular Liberty ship,

but some early liberties did literally break in half. These ships were notorious

for developing serious structural cracks. You see, welding instead of riveting

meant that cracks could easily spread throughout the hall. Revolutionary

changes in shipbuilding meant there were some kinks to work out.

Out at sea, Liberty ships were vulnerable not because they lacked serious

defensive weaponry, but because they were slow. Convoys of Liberty ships numbering

50 or 60 would lumber along at just 10 miles per hour. At full emergency speed, a

Liberty Ship could push 13 miles per hour. Maybe. But a surfaced German U-boat

could do 20 miles per hour. And that made Liberty's easy prey, especially at night.

To improve the odds, Liberty ships were guarded by escorts. More vulnerable

liberties, those loaded with munitions or fuel, would travel at the center of the

formation. But serving on a Liberty was dangerous and stressful and hundreds

were sunk or critically damaged throughout the war. But by mid 1941, the

sheer number of Liberty's out at sea along with an increase in their armed

escorts, overwhelmed German forces. Advances in anti-submarine technologies

also started stamping out the U-boat threat. By mid 1944, the United States

began to focus on producing a new type of wartime cargo vessel: the Victory Ship,

which would never be produced on the scale that Liberty's were, but there were

larger and faster making them far less vulnerable.

After the war, many liberties were put into the reserve fleet or sold off to

post-war merchant cargo fleets. By the 1960s their ancient design made them far

too expensive to operate and most were sold off for scrap. Today only three

remaining liberties of 2,710 survived to remind us of their enormous contribution

to winning the Second World War.

Sergio Bitar's Story - Democracy doesn't happen by chance - Duration: 4:07.

I am convinced that the heart is the impulse for political action, it's not the head.

It's not the ideas, it's what you feel.

What your emotions are.

So when you fight against something that is unjust you become much more active, more involved

and more conscious.

There are moments in life that you don't realize you react from the inside of yourself

without reasoning and change your life.

That happened for me when I was taken to a concentration camp and we were taken to a

small tank.

We were put a hood on our heads.

We didn't see anything and the military surrounded us and they put us together and

start moving and I felt shots within this little tank and the

guy who was beside me received a bullet in his hand and so I felt the blood.

So I thought, that was the second I thought we are going to be shot.

And in one second your see your life, and you see what you didn't do and what you

should have done and there I felt that I had to dedicate my life to the recuperation of

democracy and freedom and fight the dictatorship.

Life in Dawson Island was awful in various senses.

Few days before, the heads of a government and then prisoners of war.

The sense of void, the sense of being nothing.

The military, had this logic, they had to destroy our dignity.

One way was to say you don't have a name, you have a number.

The loss of dignity as a person, that was one of the hardest things.

You realize with the military coup and when you lose your own freedom to act, to think,

to talk and all social organizations are destroyed or banned that there is nothing more important

for achieving social justice and equality than freedom.

One of the most important enemies of democracy is fear.

I've lived that.

You paralyze yourself and all the citizens are paralyzed, that's why fear of what may

happen is a very important instrument for authoritarianism and for populism.

Democracy is not granted, democracy is something you have to take care about every day.

To listen, to improve the conditions of life, to give more participation and empowerment

to the citizen and that is something that happens daily.

If you don't care about that you can lose it.

Life is so short that you have to give meaning to your life

and giving meaning to your life is being interested in the others, not in yourself.

You will be much more successful, you will be more happy if you devote your energies

and your thinking to a community, to a society, to a country, not just to yourself.

Democracy is not like the Andes that is there forever, it's like a garden that you have

to water every day.

Mario Wächtler's Story - Democracy doesn't happen by chance - Duration: 4:07.

It was only my future. That was the only thing. I did not want to stand still.

The goal was to change my life, it did not matter how.

This was not possible in East Germany, because there were no freedoms and I did not want to end like my parents or other pensioners

in whose lives nothing changed.

Until the last day (of their lives) it would only have been routine, without anything changing. That was the first reason (for my escape).

I had the idea to escape via the Baltic Sea for some time, since I had been there a lot on holiday and since I was a rescue diver.

I always saw West Germany here in East Germany on the beach.

Therefore, I only see the one way to escape via the Baltic Sea.

In my eyes this was also the least dangerous route and on that route, I was my only enemy

in that I hoped I was fit enough and had the necessary stamina to make it.

This is the beach from which I escaped to West Germany almost 30 years ago as an East German citizen.

I walked along the beach and I had checked out the route and how it would work.

I then hid here in the bushes, changed my clothes because I was wearing a neoprene suit.

I stuffed everything in the plastic bag and left it there and waited quietly in the bushes.

Then two East German border guards passed by with a German Shepherd and my heart dropped

into my boots.

I waited 20 minutes after they passed by and then I slowly walked into the water and immediately

dove down into the water and put on my flippers, and snorkeled for about 500 meters.

Then I surfaced slowly and looked back to see if everything was quiet, and it was.

From then on, the goal was only to 'Go West' and the only enemy I still had was myself,

as to whether I would be fit enough, whether I was healthy enough to make it, and it worked.

I swam for 19 hours and the border guards later calculated that I swam 38 km.

During the morning a ferry drove from West Germany to Sweden and I thought the sister

ship should return soon.

I did not know where I was and if I would be able to follow its path.

And some time in the afternoon – I did not have a feeling for the time – the sister

ship came back and the ferry turned and drove around me, so that I was between the ferry

and the border patrol boat.

A small lifesaver was thrown down to me that I could hold on to, and a rescue boat was

let down, drove towards me and pulled me in, and took me back to the ferry.

While I was being pulled up to the ferry, the border patrol boat turned away.

There were some passengers on the ferry that were standing on the railings, and they started

clapping.

This is when I knew that I had made it.

Then my stamina was at an end as well, I was totally exhausted, I could no longer stand

or do anything else.

We do not need to remember the 40 years of the wall between Germany as a positive thing.

We should solve our problems with all means, with ambition and motivation and never should

we strive to solve them with weapons.

Lina Ben Mhenni's Story - Democracy doesn't happen by chance - Duration: 4:05.

Since I started blogging, I used my real name.

It's easy to hide behind the screen and keyboard and ask people to take to the streets

and take action, but when you show your face, your real identity, you show that you are

convinced of your actions and opinions and people can trust you.

It's very important.

We couldn't write books about the real situation in Tunisia.

We couldn't write articles, be present in a TV show or radio station to talk about the

situation or to give our opinions.

The regime had the monopoly on media, on means of communication.

I knew that people were dying, killed by Tunisian security forces, and I had to talk about that.

Our local media were talking about demonstrations to support the regime, they were not telling the truth

What are human rights for you, how can you define human rights?

All these rights, universal rights, are birthrights and obligations.

In April 2010 the police broke into my house, they stole my

laptop, my cameras and by the time we were working on a demonstration against censorship

and it was a turning point in the history of cyber activism in Tunisia because it was

the first time we decided to leave our screens and go to the street and say no to censorship.

Let me say that the hardest moment was the day I was in Regueb in Sidi Bouzid.

I took photos of the corpses of young people who were just killed by the security forces

and it was really hard.

One of the houses I was shaking, I couldn't take the photos but it was the mother of the

martyr who was saying, you have to take the photos and show this to people around the

world but I was taking the photos and recording a small videos and I was crying, shaking.

I lived with that for months and months and whenever I remember it, it is really hard.

January 14th 2011 was really an important day in my struggle.

It is the day the dictator left the country, after that we took to the streets.

Hundreds of thousands of people were demonstrating, shouting the same slogans and asking him to leave.

Every small victory gives me the confidence that I am on the real path, that I have to

keep on struggling for this country.

It's very important.

Small details mean a lot.

Brigalia Bam's Story - Democracy doesn't happen by chance - Duration: 4:11.

In our country, when I was a young girl going to high school I didn't

know about big words like discrimination, like colour bar.

My understanding as a child was just there is something that people don't like about

us because we are black.

I became aware that it is a racial problem.

The challenge for me of always having to prove myself.

That I can do it.

I can do it as a black person, I can do it as a women, in my own country.

I was driving, to one of many voting stations where we had to meet people, the usual jobs

you do, and I get this call in the car and I could tell it's Mandela on the phone and

he said to me, I am informing you that I am making an announcement in the news for 12 o'clock

that I appoint you as the chairperson of the Electoral Commission of South Africa.

I said oh Mr. President let us talk about this and I was slowing down and he said no

it's a decision I have made, goodbye.

And that was it.

To see South Africans, in thousands, from every village, town, township, in the line

to vote, to appoint their leaders.

You cannot describe the emotion of even your body, of even your smile at that time, even

your giggling because you are not as conscious as you would like to be.

You end up being nervous, you combine everything else.

Standing in line, your watching, hoping that the ink, this clumsy ink that we put over

people's fingers.

Oh is it going to stick on my finger, little, absolutely insignificant little things like that

Oh yeah that ink must really stick on my finger because everybody must see that.

Imagine an adult like me showing off my ink on my finger, isn't that stupid, but I did.

I wasn't even thinking about something an adult shouldn't be doing to show off because

that was the only proof I had, my finger that is being painted.

We were maybe in that kind of mood so it's wonderful.

Finally, we are also a nation in the world that people recognise, we are also going to

talk with pride in the world, during our lifetime of creating a democratic society, and it's

And it's wonderful.

It's really true, it's wonderful.

Cheery Zahau's Story - Democracy doesn't happen by chance - Duration: 4:17.

When I was in high school, in our classroom I asked many critical questions and my teacher

often warned me that I would be in trouble if I go to university.

They often told me that my feet are at the doorstep of prison.

I moved to India at the age of 17.

Right after I arrived on the border I joined the democracy movement

and a Chin women's organization providing services to Chin refugee children and women.

But when I go to the India-Burma border in exile area I read a lot of books that are

critical of the government.

I get to learn about what is democracy, I get to learn about what is human rights, it

was really amazing eye-opening time for me.

Chin state is one of the states in Burma.

It's located in the western part of Burma neighboring with India.

Chin state is a very beautiful, mountainous area, but largely neglected by successive

military government over the last 60 years.

In 2003 there was a mass deportation of Chin refugees from India back to Burma, Chin state.

At the time people were suffering a lot.

They lost property, some people died on the way back to Chin state.

When I see the suffering of the people from that moment I could not sit down doing nothing,

I had to do something about it.

Before 2015 general election I travelled a lot to remote places, particularly Falam township

in Chin state.

There are about 180 villages in that township all scattered in mountainous areas, very remote areas.

I travelled more than 160 villages.

Unfortunately, there was a natural disaster before the elections so from August to September

it was really difficult to travel because sometimes the whole road is completely wiped

out so we have to find our road ourselves, climbing to the top of the mountains and looking

for the village and find our own ways and when we arrived in the village there is such

a lack of awareness of how the election work and what democracy means, so I become more

a civic educator rather than campaign.

So I started doing a lot of trainings with the villagers whenever I go.

I want to see my country be a peaceful, prosperous federal union where everybody has equal opportunities,

equal rights to participate in any decision-making process regardless of their race, regardless

of their status, regardless of where they live, regardless of their religion.

No matter what government comes in if you pass on that knowledge to the next generations

there will always be people, movements who are fighting for democracy.

Coin Roll Hunting Nickels - Silver Score! - Duration: 11:28.

hey guys it's Rob here and I'm pretty dang excited right now because I just

picked up two boxes to 100-hour boxes of nickels now it's been a long time since

I've hundred nickels probably five years I was getting some pennies at the Wells

Fargo Bank and I went to two different Wells Fargo for two different boxes so

probably gonna only open one box tonight and show you what I find and then I'll

probably save the second box for another night I don't know if there's a lot of

coin hunters out here at doing nickels but a few of the friends that I do have

that doom don't normally do nickels they do a lot of Dimes and hafs and pennies

so we're hoping that I get some Bergeon ground here let me go and show you these

boxes and we'll get into opening them so there you go look at those beauties man

I don't know if you guys get the same rush I get when I get a brand-new box of

anything to go through but pretty exciting I've already got the box of

pennies and I got 10 Wheaties I actually got a 1916 a plain day Tweedy

and the last box is the best coin but we're gonna open this one and I think

I'm gonna try to do it in front of you guys live at least opening it and see

what the Enders look like just for a little bit of fun

some good looking coins looks like we might have a couple of oldies back here

and I don't see it's like another old one here another old one back here not

seeing any Buffalo's on this side not gonna switch it over just yet

if I happen to get a buffalo on the other side as an ender that'd be awesome

I'll show to you but we're gonna be looking for some key dates in here and

we'll see what we got but let me go ahead and pull a couple of rolls out

here see if I can open a few live for you see what we got in them and then if

I get anything after that we'll welcome Phil you back in

all right put this to the side for now we'll choose this one and let's see what

we got in here some different color on this one let's just see what we got here

that's an 85 looks worse than it really is and a 93 hey we got a buffalo 2005

anyway let me go ahead and dump this out and go through it who we got in here

what we looking for some 2009's as well

kind of 1964 a lot of those made that's the oldest one so far so we'll pull it

out to the side just because it's the oldest one we'll see what the oldest one

in every rule is another 1964 another 1964 Oh 1953 1953 no mint mark but not a

bad-looking one it looks like a 1953 was the best for that rule let's check the

next rule out and see if we got anything else in here worth talking about and

that's seen anything too crazy on the ends another 1964 most common nickel

that year billions of a made 72-64 again that's a surprise

1963 pull it aside just because it's old its won in this role

another 73 don't want to lose that one yet and a 74 so all this was 63 in that

role and a 1953 no mint mark on the other role will stop here I'll go

through the box back here and I will see if I get anything good I'll join you

guys back in all right guys we're 12 rolls in and so far my best three coins

out of the 12 rolls we had a 1953 no mint mark a 1951 no mint mark and then

we actually got a 1942 but there's no large mint so it's not a silver and if

you know anything about the 42 there's one known air that had an s2 the ride to

the Monticello where they stamped a 42-year nickel on a 41 reverse planchet

but it's not there there's no s so not a bad start so far and then I just pulled

out all the 60s just for funsies let's keep going I'll bring you back in if I

find something else cool all right guys we're happened in the Box 25 rolls we've

gone through so far all we have is six from the 50s and that one 1942 knots

silver you know we got a good mix of the fifties 51 a couple of 50 threes a 55

and a couple of 59 s but trying to bust out the green juice for money

and see if the second round second half of the box yields a little bit better

let's get to huntin okay so we're thirty-one rolls into the

box wanted to give you an update because we just pulled the 1940 philadelphia

event Jefferson nickel so that makes two from the 40s

11 from the 50s 2009 and I got something here that looks like it could be a proof

not so sure the patinas I mean this thing is crazy shiny and it's like a

satin finish not familiar with the 2005 any proofs or satin finished type coins

but it's highly reflective and it's a lot deeper stamp than the other coins I

could be wrong but it's a nice one so I pull it aside anyway let me know if

that's something that you guys have seen 19 more rolls let's get after it alright

guys sixteenth roll from the end fifteen rolls left

so the 35th rolled we got ourselves our first War nickel out of silver it's a

1943 it's really rough condition but if you look right above the Monticello you

can see the P for Philadelphia mint mark again this ruffle condition is you can

get it in pretty much but it is a silver war nickels I will take it

let's keep going seven rolls to the end I was opening the eighth roll to the end

not a bad little score a 1948 d we'll take it

that's four from the 40s just what I thought that roll was about done we

score our first 1939 Philadelphia mint but it's our first from the 30s it's a

good roll right there huh last point in the roll is a 2009 d that makes two of

those all right guys first box and Nichols is

completely done 50 rolls $2 rolls let's take a look at what we got

I pulled the 60s out just for fun just so I get an idea gonna treat him like

copper for pennies just so I I know they're not like that but I just want to

have an idea of how the boxes yield earlier dates we had 88 from the 60s we

also had this crazy shiny 2005 possibly approved to 2009 Deez Nuts get onto the

50s we had 250 ones of 52 350 threes no 50 fours of 55 to 56 to 57 s of 58 and

for 59 s so that's 16 coins from the 50s we also had four from the 40s of 48 of

43 silver a 42 and a 40 and 1 1939 so that's the ran up of the first box I

hope you enjoyed this hum with me I don't normally hunt nickels I just

started getting back into them so you let me know is this a good score for a

box of nickels how did I do I didn't get a buffalo obviously I

didn't get a D nickel and get a shield I wasn't expecting to get any of those

three necessarily but I felt like I did pretty good on the 30s 40s and 50s

whew oh nines I mean you let me know is that a good score for a box is that a

bad box is that a good box an average box feel free to do the comments down

below and if you liked the video please go to thumbs up if you're not a

[ENG SUB] 170914 LINE LIVE CNBLUE "STAY GOLD" release special - Duration: 55:58.

Everyone, good evening.

Somehow this is a really beautiful place, right?

In fact, everyone from CNBLUE has been working all along, since this morning.

Ah, they have been here, they all have been here.

Good evening.

- Have you been well? - Yes, of course we have been well.

- Really? - Are you doing well? - I'm doing well.

Sit down please.

How is it, this atmosphere? Isn't it really wonderfull?

It's comfortable.

That there is a such a place in Japan as well

it's the first time seeing [that].

The atmosphere is very good.

Refreshing.

It's like the atmosphere at Koreas Han river.

In fact it's similar to Busan, somehow.

But in Japan you are at such a place for the first time?

Yes, it's the first time.

I'm this times MC. My name is Yumi.

And now of course, everyone, could you please introduce yourselfs one by one?

Right now it kind of feels like a holiday trip.

Really at this place a lot of other people are hanging out here.

Where are we?

- In Odaiba. - Odaiba? - Close to Odaiba?

Was this a secret? I'm sorry.

I'm sorry. This is a secret.

We are not in Odaiba, I'm sorry.

Are you not tired?

Not at all.

Somehow you're saying "Not at all", but Jungshin-kuns face is a little...

This is Jonghyun-san.

Ah, sorry, Jungshin.

Jungshin-kun is not at all [tired], but Jonghyun-kun is tired, somehow. Are you alright?

I didn't even sleep for 1 hour.

- Impossible. But (...) still good looking, it's alright. - Thank you (?)

Make-up.

As if the power of make-up would be amazing.

10'000'000, but there are [only] 2 pictures?

Yes, it's cruel, right?

Yes, we'll try hard.

These glasses, they where nose glasses.

Congratulations.

During camping, somehow...

there is a feeling of freedom, right.

But somehow

since long ago, all the time

the time we create together with the fans

is really golden, so I think.

Somehow, from now on till forever I want it to become golden.

- Time is golden kind of... - Right.

My beloved...

Where was this filming done?

The filming was done in Korea, though.

We went camping for the first time, so...

at first...

"There is a place with such an athmosphere", I thought.

What is this called in Japanese?

- This─ - Soda?

- It's soda, right? - Soda water.

Yea, although we bought Perrier in Japanese─

So nice.

Lately I'm (...) soda water.

At home and during meals as well.

Jonghyun [has] this.

Brok─

A new one...

Go home.

Jungshin-kun. Ah, Junghyun-kun, I was mistaken, Jonghyun-kun.

It seems like you're sleeping.

No, please don't (...)

How much is that?

There are also marshmallows.

In fact this meat is probably about 13'000 [yen].

So expensive?

Everyone are you good at recognising flavours?

I am confident.

- I─ - You are confident?

You are confident, right?

- Yes, I'm confident. - Probably, you're bad [at it].

I really have [confidence].

At the solo fanmeeting

water,

salt water and... what was it...

sugar water...

Ah that is Japanese? Ah, right.

Only by the smell, I told them apart.

Jonghyun-oniisan is also weak when it comes to flavours.

What are you saying?

- Oniisan... well... - I'm strong/good.

He doesn't know anything about meat.

He doesn't know about meat?

About meat flavours, like Korean beef and so on.

That is difficult.

I know it.

Everyone, why don't we get some tea?

Please try to remember the flavour.

The flavour, the aroma and so on.

A person with fashion.

It's not all the same tea?

Tea is tea, but the tea (...) is different?

Everyone, why don't we get some tea?

Before, when I said "Why don't we get some tea?"

in the messages everyone was like "Let's do it".

- This tea... - Still... [didn't drink]

This tea...

- Ah, this, I know this. - This one...

it's tea getting sold at the convenience store.

This is, how to say, the bottle is with a flower.

But I don't know... what's its name...

Jasmine?

Yea, Jasmine.

I don't know.

- It's really difficult. - It's Jasmine.

I drank it all─

It's available at convenience stores.

Is it the same? Everyone had the same?

Exactly (...)

- Is it alright to taste it? - Drink, there is a lot.

No, it's this.

It's not this.

This one is right.

It's this one.

Try drinking this one.

- It's not this one, Hyung, not this one. - It's this one. - It's not this one, Hyung.

It's this one.

It's this one.

It's this one, this.

No, I'm sure it's not this one.

It's 100% this one. I'm a person, who cooks.

What are you doing? It's this one.

- This one, this one. - That one.

I also think it's that one, 100%.

- That one. - No, it's 100% that one.

It's that one.

- It's that one. - This one.

Yonghwa-kun went for a completely different one.

The one Junshin and Minhyuk decided on...

It's that one.

Last, last.

(...) is different.

No, no, it's that one.

It's this one.

Shall we eat meat?

Let's go.

Like it a lot.

Ah, I...

have lamb.

I like lamb, I like lamb.

This is...

beef, right? All of it.

This is lamb, right.

- This is beef, right. - Beef (correcting his pronounciation)

Salt.

I [have or want?] pepper.

Everyone.

Right now my hair somehow...

It's cool, right?

- In the wind a bit─ - ...felt it. - It felt cool.

- You thought so yourself? - [Thought so] myself.

You're a fortunate person.

Happy/fortunate.

But the flame is weak, right.

Among you, who is the best at cooking?

- I am. - Even so, it's me. - It's me.

Jonghyun-kun sais it's himself, Jungshin-kun also sais it's himself, but

from what I can see, Jungshin-kun seems talented.

I see.

(...) can't cook (...).

Ah, really?

- Why? - Jonghyun-kun

In this section I can do everything.

Ah the fire, the fire is a little...

- Weak, right? - This won't do. Impossible.

Than get up...

Let's have a talk.

But it's awesome, this fresh wind feels great, right?

- That's right. The wind is... refreshing. - Refreshing~

- Are you not cold? - I'm not at all cold. It's alright. - Ah, that's good.

You two have short pants, but you are not cold?

- It's refreshing. - Really?

It's refreshing, right.

Yesterday, Yonghwa-kun, what did you do?

I...

yesterday...

I arrived early in the morning

surfing...

and went surfing.

- Where? On the sea of course, right? - On the sea.

It was the first time

that I did it, but...

- You surfed for the first time? - Yes, the first time.

But...

right away...

I was able to do it.

- Right away you could stand properly on the board? - Yes.

Well...

10min... or about 20min

I practised a little, than right away...

Ah, surfing.

I did it, but it was really fun.

At the moment I... to Hawaii...

- I like Hawaii a lot, so... - This really fits Hawaii, right?

Before going to Hawaii I wanted to prepare [myself] a little.

Everyone, do you have a place you want to go to?

I want to travel in Japan.

- Where for example? - A Ryokan (traditional jap. Hotel) trip.

- Like a hot spring Ryokan? - Yes, a hot spring Ryokan.

In a Ryokan the meals are also... from old times Japan...

japanese house... meal...

I want to eat that as well.

As expecte, Japan... hot springs, wow, awesome.

Latel─

Because it's getting cooler, gradually...

Lately my family came for my solo tour

After the live [concert] was over they went to a Ryokan right away.

I wanted to go as well, but...

When I come again, than...

Minhyuk-kun the place you want to go to is also a hot spring?

I go often with my family to a Ryokan.

I... this time, this year in summer...

the sea...

I wanted to visit it, but...

But your drama filming is at the sea all the time.

But because it's inside a ship...

therefore I really...

at the seaside, like this...

Chilling.

This, I want─ ah (wrong language :) I want to do this.

Hey, it smells good.

Ah the staff right now is...

busily [...] the fire.

- So much fire. - Thank you.

I'm going as well for a bit.

- You're going? - I can do it as well.

Have a safe trip.

An awesome steak please.

Somehow the fire is really strong.

- In the wind... - It's dangerous.

Everyone, all four together, where did you go visit lately in private?

- Together? - Yes, all four hanging out and so on.

If it's all four than... that didn't happen.

- It didn't happen, right. We have a lot of work, so... - That's sad, right.

If you all could go somewhere together,

where would you want to go?

[As I said] before... to Hawaii...

because I'm there...

come to visit [me], ok?

- At Hawaii? - Yes.

Let's meet at Hawaii.

Probably the members will all

The members will all

be surprised.

How to say, I'm at (coconut?)

When work is over

"Let's meet at Hawaii"

so everyone is together at Hawaii.

Doing nothing

Get up, sleep, swim.

- Eat. - Eat Cheesburger.

A lot of messages have also arrived, right.

"Please come to Kagoshima as well" it sais

Kagoshima?

Kagoshima is in the south of Kyuushu, but have you been there before?

Ah, no.

Kagoshima is also a very beautiful place.

What is famous [there]?

Kagoshima is famous for... what was it...

Ah, Kurobuta (black pig).

- Ah, it's Heukdwaeji (kor. Black pig) - Jeju-do is famous for Heukdwaeji.

If there is black pig ramen it would be good, right.

There is.

Black pig ramen?

Black ramen (has nothing to do with JSs idea though :)

Black ramen is certainly (...) (you can buy it in ramen restaurants in Japan)

This~ I didn't know.

- It is available at plenty of different places. - Ah, sorry.

It looks like the meat is grilled.

Hurry.

Give your best please.

Jonghyun-kun, how is the condition?

Totally fine.

- Shall I help? - No.

Are you hungry?

- Ah, yes. - That's right.

- Meat... - We want to eat it, right?

Yea, I always like it.

The album, you see, will be released on the 18th of October

- really looking forward to it, but... - That's right.

Also in Nov... in November [there is] also an arena tour.

Right now we are preparing for the arena tour, but...

there are several different thoughts.

- Recording is over, right? - It's over, yes.

"I like this song a lot" for example

or there is a song you'd recommend.

I really like them all, but

The one called "Only Beauty"

Jonghyun-oniisan

did a comfortable(?) and warm song, but

the melody is (...) as well and the lyrics in Japanese

(...) it really feels a lot like J-Pop.

If you listen to it during colder weather, it's awesome.

- Minhyuks recommendation is "Only Beauty". - Yes.

(In the drama (Hospital Ship) Minhyuk has awesome facial expressions)

I... I also (...) they are all beloved songs, but...

after all the title song, "Starting Over", is the most fun.

At the live [concerts]

while we sing together... and clapping hands and so on

if you sing during that, it's great, I think.

I also [think], if we sing "Starting Over" at live [concerts], really

the atmosphere feels like we're becoming one.

The fans and we, if we sing together

it becomes gold.

- Kin (gold) - King?

Ah, "kin", gold.

At the time of recording...

Are you alright? I heard a voice saying "hot".

At the time of recording...

there have been a lot of songs with the feeling of singing for the first time.

For me as well, during recording

challenge?

- Ah, they were like a new challange? - Right.

Therefore it was a fun thing.

I became refeshed.

Right now we're in the middle of a live broadcast, yet it doesn't matter for Jonghyun.

But salt?

Ah, salt [was added] before.

Yonghwa-oniisan, do you like Minhyuk or do you like me?

I like no one.

It's really tasty.

Tender, tender, tender.

Jonghyun─ Onii-san, it's delicious.

Chef-san, thank you.

- Jonghyun-kun, have you eaten? - Yes?

- Have you eaten? - I'm eating.

- Onii-san? - Yes?

A little more salt.

- Ah, more? - Salt, yea.

Roger.

Onii-san, which song do you like?

- I like "Butterfly". - "Butterfly"?

- Why do you like "Butterfly"? - What's the reason?

Somehow it's like a song I made myself.

Yonghwa made that song, though.

The song is my style, is what I'm saying.

Yonghwa-kun, it's a song you made yourself, but was there a "Ah this seems like Jonghyun"?

That... well...

not particularly, but...

lately

at the solo concerts I

am singing songs from several japanese artists

so J-Pop... I made it in the style of J-Pop.

I made it consciously.

Um, the title song, "Starting Over", is really

while one listens to it, during that, there is a compfortable feeling.

- That's right. - Yea, right.

Always, when I make─

the talk becomes famous.

Meat is here.

- Thank you for your hard work. - You made a lot, thank you.

- But really, this is good meat. - Is there no lamb(...) ?

- It's good meat? - It's really good meat.

I'm super glad.

It's really delicious.

There is meat and vegetables, as well as marshmallows.

Have you eaten grilled marshmallows before?

(...) - I as well haven't eaten them grilled yet.

I as well haven't eaten them grilled yet.

- But for me, if I eat meat, it's alright to just eat meat. - For me too.

- For me too. - Right, meat is, in meat...

Protein

- There is protein. - Right.

Right now it's not evening.

At the evening (are there things you don't eat?), like you don't eat rice or sth?

- I don't mind. - Awhile ago I eat Ramen.

- You two don't really mind. - Yes.

I don't eat Ramen.

I eat only (chicken... ?)

You're somewhat stoic, right?

You always only think about the bodys golden meat.

Right. Furthermore, gold... in kin (gold) meat.

This... this is golden meat.

Golden meat.

Hey this is fun isn't it?

Well it's somewhat fun, I think.

Everyone, check out [the/my?] golden meat please.

The arena tour starts on November 3rd in the Osaka-Jo Hall.

At spring live, at Shake live we had so much fun

this time there is a bit of pressure,

so much fun was the Shake Shake tour.

"About that much"

To create a live being about that much fun, we give our best.

- Jonghyun-kun. - Yes?

You're having a big grin.

The staff is trying hard, right.

That's right, the awesome staff is grilling the meat.

They are also grilling marshmallows.

But the marshmallows are

- somewhat burned, is that alright? - extremly burned. - Then became gray.

I wonder if they'll taste good.

That is not bad, right.

Ah that are marshmallows, right~

(There is a sweet smell)

When you all ate enough meat, we'll slowly─

My stomach is full.

Your stomache is full. Since you ate Ramen before you are alright?

Minhyuk-kun, is it alright to eat?

Thank you.

Jungshin-kun as well, eat please. Still everyone from here it is still a long time(?)

Lamb... right now...

I'm waiting for lamb.

Lamb is already finished, I think.

Is there lamb?

- Is it really alright to eat this? - No, no, no.

- No, no, no. - Is it really alright to eat?

You're going to eat it?

This... everyone...

If I eat this...

[I have to go] jogging for 3h.

I really usually rarely eat marshmallows.

Marshmallows...

Really, just like Yonghwa-oniisan said,

if you eat one,

you have to exercise a lot.

Are there people who eat this?

- There are. - Of course.

Is it tasty?

- Is it sweet? (YH) - (...)

Ah, it came, it came.

Everyone, I like lamb a lot.

I...

like lamb a lot.

Ah, it's delicious.

Yes, it tastes delicious.

This smile is a super happy one.

- Jonghyun-kun, how is it? Did you eat it? - It's tasty.

Jungshin-kun, what about meat?

Ah, meat...

- Did you eat lamb? - Yes.

- I ea─ t. - What's with you?

I eat some.

Minhyuk-kun, how is the taste of the lamb?

It's super delicious.

Everyone, lamb...

with lamb...

Tortillas

Buying tortillas

toghether...

Yangpa (kor. onion)?

Yangpa is tamanegi (jap. onion)

- If you eat it together with onion - Are there onions?

it's really tasty.

- The onion gets grilled as well? - Yes.

It's tasty.

Furthermore

everyone, furthermore

tomorrow is Jungshin birthday.

Thank you.

With that, [the broadcast] is over.

My birthday... there are still 4h.

[What's] the point of this times tour?

To be honest

During concert comments, I always have something to talk about.

Always on concert days, to the people that come,

Somehow, well...

If today would be September 17th

For September 2017, CNBLUEs concert...

(He wants to make it so that fans will have a great memory.)

(When they think "What happened at that time" he wants them to remember "Ah, there was CNBLUEs concert. It was great." That kind of memory he wants to create.)

If it's November it's a little cold, right.

But in order for the heart to be warm

we give our best.

It's delicious, but

there is a lot of fat.

If I eat that

the proteins are alright, but

[I'd have to go] jogging for a bit.

But I want to eat it.

It's really tasty, but

a little salty.

But tasty.

Jonhyun-kun almost doesn't speak, right.

He alsmost doesn't speak and cooks all the time.

- Jonhyun-kun? - Yes?

What are you making?

A while ago, Yonghwa-san was talking about it

it's ramen with onions.

- I wonder is there are torillas. - There are no tortillas

There are no tortillas, but if you eat it together, it's good.

You're cooking alone. Aren't you lonely?

Not at all. It's comfortable.

Jonghyun-kun, the point of this times tour, what do you think it is?

- The point of the tour? - Yes, the point of the tour, the arena tour.

This, well, the spring tour was good.

Because it was good

I'm a bit worried.

- Minhyuk said the same thing. - Is that so?

More than that, how to make a good live [concert] (...)

Just one minute.

We're taking a picture as present for the fans, there is no minute.

We've been eating delicious foot,

talking about the album,

got to meet Ayumi-san,

got to meet with everyone. I'm happy.

I heard (...), but

in commemoration of the this albums release

Together with the fans you'll take a portrait,

I heard from the staff members.

Have you heard about that, everyone?

Entirely we heard it now for the first time.

We as well, right now...

various...

concepts and so on

all the time, right now

we are in the middle of talking about that, so...

Is taking a portrai together with fans not (...), usually?

It's not, right.

- It's a bit exciting, isn't it? - Right.

I'm somewhat shy.

So shy.

- But the fans are happy, right? With everyone. - Really

probably

I feel more shy than the fans.

- That's how it is? - Yes.

- That's funny, right? - Somehow

in top of the stage

how to say, there is showman[ship] and [I'm] cool, but

when (they are close(?))

I feel pressured

Somehow it's embarressing.

Ah but isn't it perfectly alright?

You're all totaly perfect, right.

Not at all.

Not at all.

It's about time to come to an end.

(Reminding everyone of the album release and tour dates)

Everyone, was it fun?

Yes. Yes.

I also had fun.

Later

our

Stay Gold album and

at our November arena tour, let's meat.

Until than

becare full to not catch a cold,

energetic...

let's meet in high energetic spirit.

Thank you very much.

Today

I can't remember grilling the meat.

(...) refreshing

is just right, I think.

Everyone as well

please enjoy this nice weather.

This year, to meat with everyone a lot, really

I'm happy.

Now─ From now on as well

everyone

because there are also live [concerts] I continuously meet everyone.

Please look forward to it.

It's embarrassing, right?

CNBLUEs 6th album,

Stay Gold, please enjoy it a lot and

make sure to listen to [our] live [concerts] as well, please.

Today

- I ate a lot of food and─ - Please eat a Cheesburger.

To be able to have such a conversation makes me happy.

Today was a really fun time. Thank you very much.

Fandom Reads [CC] - Duration: 9:22.

Hi, YouTube, it's Kathy, and welcome to some very dramatic lighting.

If you've been around for a while, you know that I only shoot with natural lighting from

this window, and because it's fall on the West Coast of Vancouver Island... yeah.

I've wanted to film all day, but it's been absolutely grey and I decided just to do it.

So I've been waiting to shoot this video for a while now, and having just recently returned

from Fan Expo Vancouver, I figured this was a really good time to do it.

And, of course, you've read the title, so you probably know I'm going to talk to you

about some books that have something to do with fandom.

I'm absolutely terrible at ranking books, so these are just the books I happen to own,

and that I've read, and that I love, and have something do do with fandom.

In fact, my ultimate goal is to share these seven with you, and then for you to tell me

your favourite books about fandom down in the comments below, and then after I've had a little

bit of time to read all of them, I want to do a Part Two of this in the New Year.

So if your favourite book isn't in this video, please let me know about it down below.

In no particular order, the first book is "Radio Silence" by Alice Oseman.

In fact, these books are ordered by size from smallest to largest because I had to do it

for the thumbnail.

I knew nothing about this book when I purchased it besides the cover is gorgeous, and I went,

"I will have that, please".

But I was delightfully surprised when it arrived and I started reading it because it not only

features a bisexual main character - it me! - it also has to do with a fandom of a very

strange podcast.

Again, if you've been around for a while, I really like Welcome to Night Vale, and it

turns out that Alice Oseman also does.

So the podcast in here is not Welcome to Night Vale; it is something much smaller in production,

but it plays a super big role in the protagonist's life.

To the point where she makes fan art about it.

In fact, the community loves her fan art so much that the creator of the podcast contacts

her and asks, "hey, do you want to do some art for the actual podcast?"

I don't want to go into too many specifics, but if you love podcasts, if you love fan

art, you will like this books.

There are also some other aspects of this I really, really enjoy, and I talked about

it when I did a wrap up of this book... ages ago.

If I figure out which wrap up it is, I will link it somewhere.

The next book on my stack is "Queens of Geek" by Jen Wilde.

I originally read this for the BookTubeAThon, and I read it on the first day, and I read

it all in one day, and it made me cry a few times.

It's so good.

So the blurb on the front of this book is "Three Friends.

Two Loves Stories. One Convention" and that sums it up pretty great.

You're following two point of view characters, Charlie and Taylor, and they have come from

Australia, all the way to the states to go to basically what is a giant Comic Con type of thing.

And they're there because Charlie is promoting the film that she's just been in, whereas

Taylor and their other friend Jamie are tagging along.

While Charlie's off doing all the things she needs to do for production reasons, Taylor

is there to meet her favourite author.

So obviously, Taylor's fangirling hard about this opportunity, and Charlie is fangirling

hard about a fellow YouTuber who is quite adorable, and she's always had a crush on,

who she just happens to meet.

There are so many different types of rep in this book that it just melted my heart.

There's bisexuality rep, there's neurodiversity rep, there's anxiety rep, there's immigrant parents rep.

Off the top of my head, I also think that there's mixed race rep, but I might be misremembering,

so don't quote me on that one.

All together, it's cute, it's adorable, and I'll be doing a Buddy Read Book Review of

it very, very shortly.

Speaking of books that I'll be doing a Buddy Read Book Review of shortly,

"Geekerella" by Ashley Poston.

As you might guess from this title, this is a geeky retelling of Cinderella.

In this, you have two point of view characters, as well.

Elle, who is the Cinderella type character, obviously.

And then you also have Darien, who is going to be playing the lead role in Elle's favourite

tv show [remake].

See, she used to watch this show called Starfield with her Dad, and absolutely loved it.

But now they're doing a movie remake, and she is not really down with Darien playing

the lead role.

He's one of those dudes that seems to be more popular for his abs than anything else, and

she does not see him with the acting chops of someone who can play the Commander.

You know, little does she or the world know that he is also a huge Starfield fan.

Again, cute, adorable, like the other two books, has some queer rep.

So look forward to me talking about that book on another channel very soon.

The next book that I picked up quite recently and absolutely adore is "Eliza and Her Monsters" by Francesca Zappia.

This has an interesting take on fandom in that the main character is the creator of

the fandom in question.

Eliza creates a web comic called Monstrous Sea, and it gets millions of views.

Her family is full of athletes and they just don't get it.

She publishes this anonymously and there's just a couple of her online friends that know her identity.

In her last year of high school, she runs into a new student who happens to be a Monstrous

Sea fan, and this is the first one she's even found in the wild because she doesn't really go out much.

She's got comics to draw.

So she's stuck in this weird place of "should I tell him?" and wanting to keep her anonymity.

There's also points throughout the book where you see these sketchers of her characters

from the web comic, and it's just great.

You get enough of the intricate plot line of that story to kind of understand whenever

anyone's making reference to it, and even though this is her life's work, it becomes

a giant pressure on her.

She's graduating soon.

Is she going to be able to do this for the rest of her life?

What is next in store for her?

And that's about all I can say without going into some spoilers that I really don't want to go into.

The next book on this list should be a staple in any fandom related book list, and that

is "Fangirl" by Rainbow Rowell.

I think I was a little late to this game.

I only picked this book up last year and read it pretty much in a day while I was on a

Books and Beer tour with my Mom.

It's been a little while since I read this, so I think I'm going to get all these details

correct, but let's see.

Cath, our protagonist, is a fanfiction writer, and she writes fanfiction for basically the

Harry Potter of this world.

It's not Harry Potter, but it's a magic-based book series where the last book is going to come out soon.

And she's an incredibly popular fanfiction writer.

She's got thousands of words on this subject.

But she wants to have her fanfiction done by the time the final book comes out.

That being said, she's a twin, and her and her twin are going off to university at this point.

And they've always been so close, but now they're living in two separate dorm rooms.

So Cath has some separation anxiety there.

This is also the point in her life where Levi comes in, a very cute romantic interest.

This book deals a lot with the validity of fanfiction writing and even though you are

borrowing other characters, you are creating a new piece of art.

And then, of course, if you love this, you can always go on to reading "Carry On" by

Rainbow Rowell, which is basically her [Cath's] fanfiction, and it's freakin' adorable.

And I read it over a weekend when I was at a convention in Seattle.

So yes.

The penultimate book in this stack might surprise some of you until you think about it a little

harder, and that's "The Fault in Our Stars" by John Green.

Now, I know that when we think about this book, we think about this protagonist who

has cancer, and a love story between two people who have had cancer,

and, of course, the movie that came out.

But at the heart it, this is about fandom.

I mean, to be fair, things can be about several different things.

One of them for this book definitely is fandom.

Our protagonist, Hazel Grace, is forced into going to this group therapy type thing where

she meets a cute boy.

He is there for his friend Isaac who is soon going to be completely blind because of his

type of cancer, but Gus himself, the cute boy, is in remission.

Impulsively, Hazel takes his invitation to come back to his place to watch a movie.

They end up starting to talk about books and she ends up telling him about the book that

she is completely obsessed with.

If that fandom moment hadn't happened, none of the rest of the book would have.

It was because of that moment of opening herself up and letting another human know about her

intense fandom for this book that he read it, and literally everything else that happened

in the book happened.

It makes complete sense to me that this particular John Green book would be on this list.

And the final fandom book that I want to talk about that I pulled off my shelves today is

"You're Never Weird on the Internet (Almost)" by Felicia Day.

Obviously, unlike the other, this is a nonfiction book.

And it is a memoir.

That being said, Felicia Day has been called Queen of the Geeks so many times.

Throughout her books, she talks about so many different types of fandom, so many fandoms

she's been interested in, and different times throughout her life where fandom has made an impact on her.

As a side note, while I was waiting for this book to come out, I was at VidCon for the

very first time, and I was wearing my Codex cosplay, and Hank Green thanked me for wearing

cosplay at his convention and asked if he could take a picture of me to send to Felicia

via text message, which of course I said yes to.

So if you are interested in the intersection of fandom and the internet, this is definitely

a book that you should check out, if you haven't already.

And while I'm here, I might as well also make a music recommendation for you, because I'm

wearing their t-shirt right now, and it makes me very happy.

I don't have a viewfinder on this potato of a camera, so I have no idea how much of this

tshirt you can see, but it says "There are no Fake Geeks, only Real Jerks" and this is

a tshirt from The Doubleclicks.

I will link their YouTube channel down below.

They're a sister duo from Portland, and they make deliciously nerdy content.

A lot of it about fandoms.

And there you have it.

Like I said near the beginning of the video, I would really like it if you would let me

know your favourite fandom based books down in the comments below.

If I get enough of a list of them, I will search them out, I will read them, and I will

make a second video like this in the future.

If you've read any of these, and you have feels about them, let me know about it down

in the comments below.

On the way down to the comments, if you hit that Subscribe button, that would be very nice of you.

You can like and share this as you see fit, and I will see you next time. Bye!
