HOW CHABAHAR PORT HAS DEALT A MASSIVE BLOW TO PAKISTAN & CPEC? - Duration: 7:36.

Indian Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Raveesh Kumar tweeted "The first consignment

of wheat assistance to Afghanistan, flagged off by Indian External Affairs Minister Sushma

Swaraj and Afghan Foreign Minister Rabbani, reached Chabahar port".

A welcome ceremony held at Chabahar port on the landmark occasion was attended by dignitaries

from India, Iran and Afghanistan.

The development has significant strategic, diplomatic and economic impact.

In this video, Defense Updates analyzes HOW CHABAHAR PORT HAS DEALT A MASSIVE BLOW TO

PAKISTAN & CPEC (China Pakistan Economic Corridor) ?

A trade route through Pakistan into land-locked Afghanistan would have been the logical step

considering the distance of just 990 km between New Delhi and Kabul.

The 1.1 million tonnes in 35,000 containers would take lesser time through the land route.

Instead, the first of several consignments was dispatched through the sea route to Chabahar

in Iran from where it will enter Afghanistan via a different land route - a total distance

of 3,900 KM or more than thrice the all-land distance.

Why was it done?

The reason is Pakistan.

Pakistan borders Afghanistan to its south and east and has used its strategic location

to have a controlling hand on Kabul in terms of trade.

Traditionally, Pakistan has been Afghanistan's biggest supplier of wheat but because of its

geo-political positioning, managed to dictate pricing.

In 2014 for example, Pakistani wheat was Rs 500 more expensive per tonne than wheat from

India.

Both Afghanistan and India, quite naturally, wanted to trade in wheat but Pakistan refused

to allow passage.

Pakistan repeatedly refused to allow land passage to Afghanistan through its territory

each time India asked for it in the last 17 years.

In 2003, India began exploring other options of expanding bilateral trade with Afghanistan

- leaving Pakistan on the sidelines.

Helping Iran develop the Chabahar Port emerged as a viable alternative even if it meant a

longer route.

In it was the birth of a historical trilateral agreement between India, Iran and Afghanistan

- signed in May of 2016 - to make use of Chabahar Port for trade and transit into Central Asia

and Europe.

"We want to link with the world.

(The) agreement …can alter the course of history of the region," Indian Prime Minister

Narendra Modi had said after signing the agreement with Afghan President Ashram Ghani and Iranian

President Hassan Rouhani.

Ever since the Iran-Iraq was in the early 1980s, Iran has been looking to reduce its

dependence on ports in the Persian Gulf.

Shifting eastwards has been widely seen as a logical step to ensure the security of trade

routes and corridors.

Chabahar, therefore, becomes vital for the country.

Partnering India - one of the biggest Asian economies - also is in the best interest of

Iran.

The port becomes a starting point for several other collaborations.

Trade with Russia - a key partner - can also be enhanced.

This assumes even more significance because of Iran's frosty relations with the United

States - making it look towards big economies for increased trade.

Much like Iran, or even more perhaps, Afghanistan understands the need to expand trade with

India.

In the past, thorny India-Pakistan relations have hampered Kabul and New Delhi from discussing

direct trade.

Still, India received 46% of Afghan total exports in 2016 - worth USD 220 million.

This figure may now rise at a rapid pace.

And Chabahar not just opens up the country to competitively priced Indian consignments

and more exports to India but would also open other South and South-East Asian markets for

Afghan products.

Trade with Bangladesh in particular, feel economic experts, can expand exponentially.

In a larger context this development will go along way in bringing stability and prosperity

to Afghanistan.

For India, the route represents a strategically attractive opportunity to trade with Afghanistan

by bypassing Pakistan.

This development comes just weeks after U.S. President Donald J. Trump outlined a new U.S.

strategy for Afghanistan that welcomed a robust role for India economically in the country.

Moreover, during his recent visit to New Delhi, U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson reinforced

U.S. support for a strong Indian economic presence in Afghanistan.

The route will enable unabated trade with Afghanistan but also open other markets for India.

India-Afghanistan trade through Chabahar Port in Iran is a massive blow to Pakistani designs

on a number of levels.

The failure to revive Afghanistan-Pakistan Transit Trade Agreement (APTTA) so far has

now come to haunt Islamabad.

In the past, Pakistan has dictated terms to Afghanistan - compelling the latter to look

elsewhere.

The proverbial push came to shove when Kabul communicated via Pakistan's High Commission

there that talks on reviving APTTA would only take place if New Delhi was made part of it.

The country wanted India to be made part of the Trilateral Transit Trade Agreement between

Pakistan, Afghanistan and Tajikistan.

Long opposed to any Indian involvement, but pressured, Pakistan Army Chief Qamar Javed

Baja had started mulling the prospect of involving India.

It may have been just too late.

Indian officials at the SCO Afghanistan-Contact group meeting in Moscow reportedly told the

Afghan delegation that it would not take up Pakistan's offer for talks.

And the snub may cost Pakistan dearly.

Pakistan's exports to Afghanistan have come down from a record high of USD 2.4 billion

in 2010-11 to USD 1.43 bn in 2015-16.

And it continues to be in freewill.

A recent report in respected Pakistani news outlet, the Dawn read:

"The dwindling trade relationship with Afghanistan shows the absence of rationality,"

In such times, Chabahar Port not just further erodes Pakistan's influence over Kabul but

also makes its Gwadar Port, a key part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) rather irrelevant.

hello everyone, today I'm in Chicago

I was going to say Boston

We can't see a lot

Chicago

I came 2 days ago already but I didn't vlog

It was raining, the weather was not so good

today it's better but cold

it's finally fall

So today we are..

October 15TH

I've started my travel month 5 days ago, October 1Oth

Since I left home, boston

I haven't say goodbye to my host family yet

I'm going to see them again

in 15/20 days

to say goodby and take my suitcases

because I have 4 suitcases

and then I'm going back to france

Today I'm visiting Chicago alone

before I was with a friend

from boston

he was also an au pair in the same city as mine

he was finish is travel month

in chicago

So now he went back in boston

to say goodbye to his host family

You can start your day with a good american breakfast

I went to corner bakery café

but there is a lot of others places too, more local

I really like this place in the US

Then my advice will be to walk downtown to look at the buildings

there is also free tours of the city

the really famous theater

you can also visit it for around 20$, at night

it's nice to take a beautiful picture

Personally I went down that same street, State St

there is a lot of stores

it's the perfect place to go find american stores

there is also a lot of department stores

You can also admire the unique architecture of Chicago

especially the subway in the air in the loop quarter

The popcorn store Garrett

is the place to be for popcorn, the is the specialty of chicago

and also the deep dish pizza from Giordano's

I recommend you to take the subway there

The round trip is 5$, there is also a day pass for 10$

the bleu line is going

to the O'hare airport 24H/day

from the top or the bottom it's

a really unique experience to live in chicago

If unfortunately you have a rainy day like me

I recommend you to go in museums

or in the chicago cultural center which is free

there is different exposition and really cool art

In front of the cultural center there is the millennium park

with this big open theater

in summer there is free shows

this is a really big place !

In the same park there is obviously the famous Bean

this is the symbol of Chicago and the most touristic place of the city

This is the moment to take a cool picture

I really recommend you to see it during day and night time

it's completely different

And when you look under it

the effect is really cool

and unique

If you go down the park, at grant park

there is a beautiful fountain

and near the aquarium, this is the best view of the skyline

I haven't took a video unfortunately

but this day it was a beautiful weather

the view is awesome

In chicago, there is no

ocean but a big lake, the lake Michigan

there is few beaches in the city

and also a pier

I've took a walk alone the shore

to the navy pier, don't go there when it's too cold

or to much wind

Chicago is not the windy city for nothing

There is of course a wheel

and the main building as souvenirs stores

and restaurants

This is the perfect place for a friend/family

lunch during summer

the view is also really nice

you can go back by walk downtown

to admire the buildings of the north

Chicago is the 4 biggest cities of the US, so there is a lot to see

this is a little summary of what you can see

Because the weather was bad during half my trip

The second day was so rainy, I have lost my day !

The third day it was so grey, like this

I have lost some time to visit the city,

Like I've say, this is a really big city

I haven't went to chinatown for example

I have seen the principal things

I really liked this trip so much !

Finally to finish, at the end of the day,

Do one of the towers of Chicago, I did Hancock Tower

there is a good view of the city

And also there is a fun activity to do there, I will show you after

I choose to do it at the end of the day because I can see

the view at day time, sunset

and night time

I saw 3 "view" of the city

this is the fun activity, it's 7$

Hello everyone ! I'm very happy to find you on this

new video ! Today, it's a video in

which i will present you a product : it's a bag, from the brand Myabetic !

Maybe, you know it, they are very present on the social

medias on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and others. And so, they sent me this

bag so that i can test it. I've been testing it for a week and

so I propose in this video to introduce you a little bit the

product, the brand and all and then give you my own opinion !

First, the brand Myabetic, you should know that it's an American brand

they make the products in the USA. Of course, they send the products to

Europe so that's why I'm talking about it in this video in the sense

that, on the other hand, it will be necessary to add shipping costs for France so that

we talk about that after. To first introduce you to the bag they sent me

they make of course backpacks like that but they make a lot of

product for persons with diabetes : pockets for the raves-up so

just small pockets in which we can put our products

for the diabetes. They make little shoulder pockets

So, these are pockets for kids like this one.

So this one, I was sent, I think, about the Cellnovo pump.

So here, it is for sale, it seems to me, on Amazon so I'll put you

like this for the children, there are several other types of characters

but so in this video we will rather talk about the backpack. So this

backpack, I found it rather nice already at first like that

on the website. It should be known that it exists in several

so it's about 138€

which will have to add $15 of postage for France so the

price is quite expensive, we'll talk about it later in the video.

all my spare material. I had a lot of things, actually a lot of

stuff that took up all the space in the bag

and there, it is true that I have everything arranged a little

methodically in each small pocket I put a few things

and in fact I really enjoy having a front pocket for

put all the material for diabetes.

So that's a good point, in the sense that when I open the big

pocket where there are all my personal papers, my credit card and all that, in the

big wallet, I don't find all on diabetes stuff and

so it is rather appreciable. When we look a little more closely

inside, we see that there are several small compartments.

So there is a small net compartment in which I put

a backup Pod in case of emergency, then a small pouch that

scratches which is detached. On the website they give you a lot of indications

what are each compartment for ? Personally, in this little pouch

I didn't put anything, but I think that when we have needles to throw or

things like that when you've insulin pen it's pretty good.

Then, there is some elastic stuff in which I put a

insulin bottle and a flask of tabs for

take the glucose blood and then in the compartment with the little pouch

with the elastic on the inside I put the player of Freestyle and then a

ketone drive in fact both are used to make ketone with

ketone strips so that's pretty good. And then to

inside, in the middle down right, at the bottom, I put 2 insulin pens

a quick and a slow it's in case the pump breaks down or doesn't work

and then in the middle I put the Accu-Chek Mobile drive that

I use regularly to calibrate my Dexcom and then my

Omnipod PDM remote control. So I'm

pretty satisfied in the sense that when I open, I directly my 2

main devices and everything else is well wedged in the compartments and

it's pretty cool. That's it and then for the

larger wallet I will not necessarily show you what's inside

because these are my personal belongings. This cover is rather large

after that it's true that this bag has a particular size, it's rather

small. I am rather someone who uses big bags and so we

will speak later, but it's true that it's more of a

inconvenience for me, but it's really personal. And then behind

the bag, you have a pocket and I put rather

...style when I go to the pharmacy to put the prescription, I put some

papers that are rather easy to catch quickly, for when I want

make something, post a letter or things like that. We are going to pass

the advantages and disadvantages of this product. So let's talk first

advantages. So, what benefits me as I told you

it's the front cover in which you can put all the material of the

diabetes, that's kind of nice in the sense that when you open the big

at least we do not come across something related to diabetes, we don't search

3H to find his blue card, and we don't find on many things

an Omnipod, an insulin pen and everything, all so I enjoy it.

And then in advantage, we could put the quality, it's true that it is a

product that is rather pretty, which is rather aesthetic, it is rather in

the size of the bag. Personally, I like bigger bag

I have plenty of time to carry around huge tote bags and everything, it's

it's a disadvantage for me but for some people

who appreciate having little bags with not a lot of things in it,

not too heavy and everything went pretty well so you might like it.

This is a message from Herman Bell.

Here's something direct from me.

So where to begin, what to say?

As I want you to connect with me, I want you to feel my hand in yours.

I want you to see and experience my journey.

EDDIE CONWAY: Welcome to this episode of Rattling The Bars.

I'm Eddie Conway coming to you from Baltimore, Maryland.

Recently, a political prisoner in the state of New York named Herman Bell, who was a member

of the Black Liberation Army and a former member of the Black Panther Party was assaulted

and attacked in a New York state prison.

We want to look at circumstances of that attack and what it actually means for this particular

political prisoner who's been in prison for several decades now.

Is the investigation, internal investigation by the administration on this?

ROBERT BOYLE: From what I understand, but they would know more about what's going on

internally.

It's important to note that there's still these very serious disciplinary charges against

Herman.

I would want to add that not only does he have a clean disciplinary record, the following

day, September 6th, he was scheduled to have his first three-day family reunion visit with

his wife in nearly three years.

EDDIE CONWAY: You're saying three days before that visit that you all had been fighting

for for years, he got beat up?

NANCY BELL: Right.

Right.

Now, I don't know.

I could speculate that this guy knew that he was going to have the visit and that's

why he started.

I don't know.

How do I know, you know?

EDDIE CONWAY: Okay.

NANCY BELL: That's a fair speculation, you know?

EDDIE CONWAY: I'm not going to ask you to speculate but does it seem like this might

have been an incident created to stop him from getting parole or winning release?

ROBERT BELL: Well, that certainly is not beyond something that they would do.

NANCY BELL: He was on the phone in the yard.

He was talking to me on the morning of September 5th.

He was on the phone.

When we were on the phone, I remember him saying, "Oh, there's some guys having a fight

over there."

Just two guys, you know?

It's a common occurrence.

It happens.

Then he says, "Oh, there's another two guys over there having a fight."

Then he says, "Oh, now all these guards are coming out.

They're probably going to close the yard pretty soon."

Then all of a sudden he goes, "I gotta go.

Goodbye."

He hangs up the phone.

I remember thinking I never heard him hang up the phone that quick, you know?

ROBERT BELL: This particular prison, Great Meadow, known as Comstock, is notorious for

arbitrary excessive force and beatings of inmates.

It is a prison where 99% of the guards are Caucasian and from the area and over 80 to

85% of the prisoners are men of color.

It is notorious for beatings, and then reports on it in the exposés in the newspapers and

essentially, they get away with it.

They very well know who he is, but it's also, it's systemic.

The violence is systemic.

NANCY BELL: This guard thought that Herman hung up the phone too slow, like one or two

seconds too slowly.

Apparently, Herman was in line with the other guys to go back to the, you know, you go back

in through the same way.

They were all lined up to do that and then this guy, Saunders, pulls Herman out of the

line and takes him, you know, tells him to put his hands behind his back but no cuffs.

That's how they do it in an escort.

They walked into another area.

It was a foyer between two mess halls or something like that.

There were no cameras in there, there were no other prisoners in there and it was only

Herman he took there.

Then all of a sudden, this guard, Saunders hauls off and hits him.

He told me he was so shocked and stunned that he did that.

He couldn't figure out why would he do that.

HERMAN BELL: See, I'm not a criminal in this strict sense of the word.

I've never posed a danger to civil society.

I never sought personal gain for my political action, never robbed, never threatened, coerced

nor intimidated anyone in civil society.

I've never sold drugs.

But I did, as did many others, militantly resist the unrelenting structural violence

of white racist domination and control that have afflicted the Black community since Black

people were brought here as slaves.

NANCY BELL: They picked him up at one point, you know, just lifted him off the ground.

One of them did that so they could knee him in his chest and that's how they broke his

ribs.

Then another one grabbed his head, on the left side of his head and slammed it into

the concrete ground three times.

EDDIE CONWAY: Throughout his years of imprisonment, Herman Bell has been actively working to serve

the interests of the community.

He have started garden projects in Maine to help communities that were in food deserts.

He have actively helped organize activities around the United Nations human rights programs

and encourage other young people to engage in school, college, etc.

Since Herman Bell's beating, he has been moved to another prison and placed in general population.

There's an ongoing pending investigation of the officer's acts.

cells.

Type B blood has a different antigen on the membrane of its red cells, while type O has

neither.

The gene for type O is recessive because if you have one gene for O and one for A, then

you still end up with A antigens on your cell membranes and the same goes for O and B. In

order to be group O, you need both parent cells to be O.

But group O is still more common simply because it is the ancestral form.

The A and B mutations appeared in the last 20,000 years and have not spread through the

population yet.

So that is the reason why type O blood is most common.

hey what's up guys today we're tickling on the much-anticipated

Dell Inspiron 75-67 this is the successor to the very popular Inspiron

75 59 that many of you guys love this model features an all-new design you

also get the latest Intel chips as well as the all new NVIDIA Pascal GPUs let's

go and break down the specs you're getting a quad core i5 7300 HQ which is

a KB light processor 8 gigabytes of ddr4 ram nvidia gtx 1050 you can also custom

configure it with a gtx 1050 T on it 15 inch full HD panel one terabyte hard

drive running at 5400 rpm and the retail price of the base model is $7.99 a new

75-67 still keeps it very simple to upgrade simply remove the one Phillips

screw and boom you have access to internals here you got your 74 watt hour

battery pack traditional hard drive and end about to slot for your SSD upgrade

and your tudm slots for your ram here are the speeds for 128 gigabyte SSD

model the reach speeds are fairly good however the write speeds are kind of

slow if you upgrade to the 256 or even 512 you'll get much better performance

and last but not least here the speeds for the painfully slow 1 terabyte hard

drive running out 5400 rpm the front of laptop looks pretty cool kind of looks

like a spider-man theme going on be careful on these side edges right here

as it is pretty sharp this act was mainly made out of plastic and here's a

quick view of the interior the speakers are now gone from the top section of the

keyboard now pushed to the front now let's take a look at the top section of

the laptop this section has like a soft touch rubber feeling that feels very

nice this your small events towards the bag look more aggressive also keep in

mind the side vent on the old end Sprunt is now gone let's take a look the port's

here on the right side a lap time you got your headset microphone jack combo 2

USB 3 full size HDMI and your rj45 Ethernet on the left side you got your

security lock slot charging port USB 3 and an SD card reader there's very

minimal display flex on this laptop however towards the middle section of

the laptop when it's closed it does tend to go in a little bit more in terms of

keyboard flex there's hardly any I mean I can try to squeeze down very hard

right here however it'll barely budge overall Dell did an excellent job with

Inspiron 75-67 another big change of this year's model is the hinge this

hinge is kind of like the Y 50 or the Y 700 if you

calm compared to last year's model which had the double hinge it feels pretty

solid so far however time will tell one of my biggest disappointments so far is

the TN panel l decided to use all TN panels besides the 4k which uses an IPS

panel even though this is a TN panel the sights aside being angles weren't too

bad my biggest gripe was the vertical viewing angles it was just awful

last year's model had a full HD IPS panel is actually pretty good yes the

color saturation wouldn't win any awards have real is much higher than this

year's model this year's model you get 60% of srgb coverage compared to last

year's model which gave you 71% and for the Adobe RGB you get 45% for this

year's model compared to last year's model which gave you 51% overall yes

this panel is a downgrade the tripod feels identical to last year's model

however the performance feels a little bit better tracking two fingers

scrolling is pretty smooth however multi-touch did give me a couple of

issues out of the box let me try to scroll out here and show you a demo see

how the multi-touch legs are now see that hopefully Dell can issue a software

update to fix this issue you get a standard full-size keyboard with a 10

key numeric keypad this year's model you got the WASD Keys highlighted in red to

make it more like a gamers laptop the key trouble is kind of short however the

tactile feedback from this keys offer a very good typing experience you also get

a backlit keyboard just two options medium and high also this year's

keyboard is red instead of white the speakers are now in the front of the

laptop and they actually sound pretty good Dell has tweaked them and the sound

quality is actually pretty decent compared to last year's model there's

also mini-sub on the bottom however the performance room is still pretty weak

thus at top does have an HD webcam and this is how it looks let me know what

you guys think in the comments down below these new hips prawns are rocking

the latest Intel Core i5 cable 8 processors you can also upgrade to the

core i7 for better performance here's some Geekbench 3 performance scores this

one is the core i5 version and this one's the core i7 as you can see the

multi-core in the i7 is about 3000 points higher this year's biggest news

is obviously the Pascal GPUs the native 75-67 features the latest NVIDIA GTX

1050 and GTX 1050 TI for better performance the biggest differences are

the shader count and the higher clock speeds the 1050 features 640 shaders

1050 TI comes on a 768 shaders and for reference the 1060 comes in at 1280

shaders overall the new 1050 and 1050 Tia offer a decent leap over its

predecessors for example the 1050 is comparable to about I would say a 965 m

and a 1050 TI is probably comparable to a 970 m with that being said you can

expect to play many of today's high-end games on high-end ultra settings

depending on the certain title now let's test out the GTX 1050 Ti while playing

overwatch at 1920 by 1080 P on epic settings so far I'm getting an average

around 60 to 65 frames per second which is pretty amazing for the GTX 1050 Ti

and here's the test of the gtx 1050 running at the same resolution however i

had to turn the settings down from an epic to ultra so far is getting pretty

similar results I was gonna test out battlefield 1 however the Nvidia drivers

weren't compatible but I did get to test out battlefield 4 so let's take a look

here's a quick test a battlefield 4 running on 1920 by 1080p on Ultra

settings so far I'm getting an average around 65 to 74 is per second which is

pretty spectacular just for comparison last year's model with the 960 mm I got

around 45 to 55 frames per second on high settings so you can see the big

difference here now let's compare it to a baby brother the GTX 1050 again this

is at 1080p on Ultra settings and so far I'm still getting an impressive frame

rate I'm getting around 55 to 60 frames per second so what do you guys think of

the new entry-level Pascal based GPUs let me know what you guys think in the

comments down below here's a screenshot of the battlefield 4

settings unused while testing out both GPUs and here goes the GPU temperatures

for the GTX 1050 Ti I got an average around 73 degrees Celsius after about an

hour of gameplay in compared to the GTX 1050 which ran a little bit cooler

I haven't around 64 to 68 degrees Celsius here the external temperatures

after playing about an hour of overwatch on the GTX 1050 Ti model at the center

you're getting around 45 to 47 degrees Celsius the top is gonna be the hottest

and around 48 degrees Celsius now let's compare it to the GTX 1050 model again

this is after an hour of gameplay on overwatch it is running a little bit

cooler about 5 degrees cooler the FanDuel is is actually pretty decent

you're getting average around 48 to 50 decibels which is about average on

gaming laptops at full throttle the new Inspiron features the same standing for

watt our battery pack and I'm getting around out say 5 to 6 hours of regular

usage and about an hour and 45 minutes of gameplay so let's get to the

conclusion of the new Inspiron 75-67 these new models featured the latest

entry-level Pascal GPUs that offer some pretty good solid performance the new

design looks much better and the speaker soft for better sound quality however my

biggest gripe is why in the world would Dell remove a good IPS panel found on

last year's model I probably got the answer the Inspiron centi 5:59 was

probably stealing too much cells from the alien wearing line of laptops

Della's also dropped the price of the Alienware 13 in order to attract more

customers to better hardware like gtx 1060 and better quality IPS panels and

even OLED panels if the new sony 5 6 and 7 does not sell too well hopefully Dell

will offer a built to order option like a $50 upgrade for an IPS panel it'll get

me wrong the name 75-67 is a great solid laptop however the lackluster screen is

really holding it back from my recommendation all right guys this is
