-Hey? -Huh?

Are you ready? We're going to have fun tonight.

Tonight's going to be the worst night of my life, Diabla.

You disgust me.

I love how rebellious you are...

although that little speech of yours was ridiculous.

Add a gun and you'd be a token guerilla fighter.

I might have the speech part down,

but I'm not like you.

I don't see war as a means of getting what you want.

Oh, really? So you're the diplomatic type?

I am, sometimes...

but not always.

You're an idiot...

but I like you.

Now, you... you're nothing.

It's a shame, too, because we could have a threesome...

but I don't like you.

Oh, thank God!

I mean...

I don't like you, either.

You aren't my type. Vanessa's the only girl for me.

She's having my child.

Staying here makes no sense. Let's go.

Yes, you're right.

Let's go.

Relax and get some rest.

We'll let you know if anything happens.

Thanks for all your help.

Thank you.

Be careful out there, Cata.

God bless you girls.

Rest up.

I'll wait for you outside.

Cata.

Please be smart about things.

You know what I'm talking about.

I'll get in touch with my colleague

to ask him to help us locate Diabla through her phone.

Please do, Danny.

Do you know what it's like

having both your parents held hostage by that woman?

Things couldn't be worse for me.

-Please help me. -Don't worry.

It's okay.

Thank you.

-Careful out there. -Rest up.

-Thank you. -Bye.

Don't worry, Cata.

We've got Daniela. That's worth something.

It is.

-Let's do this. -Let's go.

You owed me this much, Jota.

That's life for you.

I'm finally getting even.

Well, make the most of it and just kill me already!

Kill me and leave Albeiro alone!

Don't tell me what to do!

Just be quiet, Jota.

Let's go, baby.

I want to see my wife.

-Are you in charge now? -I have rights!

No one has rights here.

Not even your hitmen?

Be quiet!

Trigger.

Yes, boss?

Wash him and bring him to my room.

If they try to escape, kill them both.

Whatever you say, boss.

What a night!

Demonia!

Demonia...

Come on, get up.

Yes?

Quite the party we had, huh?

That was the idea, wasn't it?

We drank all night.

That's what we came to do.

Did you enjoy yourself?

Come, let me give you your money.

What did we drink, anyway?

We nearly drank water from the flower vases.

Oh, God.

How'd it go with Mariana?

Good...

What?

What happened?

You didn't use protection?

No.

Don't worry. I'll take care of it.

I'll give her the morning-after pill.

No babies.

Good.

Make sure she takes it.

I'll give it to her myself.

Get her out of here.

If you ever need me, just call and I'll show up.

Bye, cutie! Mariana!

Mariana! Let's go, sweetie!

Good God.

No way.

I'll go check.

Alright, sweetie.

If she's not there, we'll go file the report.

They haven't met the real Carmen Vanessa Perez!

I won't let them hurt Jota!

What's up?

No holding back, girls.

Look, Ms. Vanessa.

I know this isn't who we really are.

We aren't innately evil, like they are,

but it's time they feel the sting of justice.

Do it for your daughter.

Don't worry, Catalina. I understand completely.

We aren't like them, but I'm practically rabid right now.

For Adriana.

What better motive could I have?

Well?

Nobody home.

Oh, God.

I hope nothing bad has happened to her.

Get in, sweetie.

Let's go file the report.

-Seatbelt. -Okay.

Mariana, we have to go. Get up, please.

Mariana.

Where's Hernan Dario?

Who are you talking about?

Hernan Dario...

That hunk...

Don't know who that is. You must've been dreaming.

Get up! It's late!

Mariana!

-Late? -Yes!

What time is it?

It's ten till one.

One what?

1:00 AM!

Sweetie, please get up!

It's 1:00 AM?

Yeah, I don't want trouble. Get up!

Where's my phone?

In the living room downstairs. Don't worry.

We'll get it now.

-In the living room? -Yes.

Come on, cutie.

I need to call my brother.

No, you can't call him. I don't want any trouble.

-Later on... Up we go. -My brother...

Mariana!

Up we go.

I don't feel well.

Well, snap out of it!

Alright, already!

Breathe. Up we go.

On your feet. You steady?

Where's my phone?

I'll take you to it.

Oh, these heels!

Come on!

The first one to throw one of these paper balls

into her giant fake boobs wins a smack across the head.

Let's do this. You go first.

Alright.

Almost.

Alright.

Her boobs are so fake, it's easy.

Here goes.

If we don't make it, I'm still letting you hit her.

Here goes.

You win!

Go ahead. Hit her over the head.

That's it! Ruin her hair.

Check out these awful extensions.

That's it!

Hold on. My turn.

Alright, I need a marker.

What's her sign again?

Moron.

That's for sure.

You hungry? Here.

Her zodiac sign is Moron. M-O-R-O-N.

Moron!

I spelled it out for her just in case.

Alright, here.

You're officially a moron.

Moron

Get in there.

Did someone order delivery, ma'am?

There you go.

Stand by the door.

If anything happens, you know what to do, Trigger.

Blow Hilda's brains out

and sever the stutterer's limbs.

You got it, ma'am. If you'll excuse me.

It's a pleasure to have you here.

I love good-smelling men.

How does it feel?

How does it feel to ---- a man who doesn't want you?

Enlighten me.

-It feels like a triumph. -A triumph over what?

Have you no love or respect for yourself?

You don't love yourself. You have no self-esteem.

You've been this way since we were kids.

You've always hated yourself.

That's why you are what you are today.

That's lovely. What a touching speech.

Not tonight, though, baby.

No.

Bitch.

You think I care?

You know me, Albeiro. You know me very well.

You think I brought Catalina into this business

because she was pretty or profitable?

No.

I hired her to screw you over.

I don't know what Albeiro sees in that flat-chested Cata.

Oh, come on, Yesica. Cata has her charms.

Yeah, girl.

Don't be jealous. My girl Catalina's cute.

-"My girl Catalina?" -Yeah.

She's cute, but stupid.

Poor thing.

Stupid and poor, to boot.

I beg your pardon? We're all poor.

Speak for yourself.

Although... Cata's house is the ugliest one in town.

Disgusting.

Infuriating.

Come on, Yesi. Why are you so mad?

Do you like Albeiro?

Yeah. He's hot.

He seems kind of stupid to me.

Dumb Albeiro!

Dumb Albeiro!

Come make my day!

Guess what, girls?

Cata's been asking me for work.

Seriously?

She wants me to take her to some ranches.

Bayron will kill you.

It's not like I want to take her.

Besides, drug lords like big breasts...

and she's as flat as a board.

Does she seriously want to work as a call girl?

You think I'm making this up?

It's always the quiet ones...

I've always turned her down.

But come to think of it...

I might just hire her.

I'll take her to Titi's.

How come she gets to see Titi?

Don't be a drama queen.

Not like you paid for exclusivity.

Not Titi, Yesica!

We'll talk once you've got a ring on that finger.

I'll break those two up.

You're positively cruel!

You don't fall too far behind.

Bitch.

I don't like the looks of this.

Oh, quit it.

You ruined Catalina's life!

You turned her into a slut like yourself!

You ruined Catalina!

She's more of a woman than you'll ever be!

Can't you see that?

Bitch!

Bitch!

I like this Albeiro better.

-I hate you! -I love it!

-I hate you! -Get mad.

I hate you, you bitch.

You'll be all alone, with no one to turn to.

I'll be there for you, to chop you into little pieces!

I'll chop you into little pieces, you bitch!

China fears unpredictable Trump: Beijing's panic over US Pesident's visit revealed

The US President is under the constant scrutiny from an elite group of Chinese think-tankers, diplomats and scholars known as the America Watchers.

But they have their work cut out trying to accurately define the unpredictable New York billionaire who threatens nuclear war and rides roughshod over diplomatic niceties.

Chinese President Xi Jinping thrives on stability but has found it short supply in its most important foreign relationship.

Andrew Scobell, an expert on China at the Rand Corporation, told the FT: "When they are making decisions about policy they are always very interested in how the US will respond.

"They want a predictable response, whether it is good or bad, they just want predictable.

"In that sense, President Trump is a real enigma, because he is rather unpredictable." Many of China's "Americanologists" hold doctorates from top US universities, and their speciality is one of the best-funded of the social sciences in China.  Mr Scobell said: "You'll often find someone who has one set of views in a one-on-one chat sounds very different when they are writing a column in a Chinese newspaper.

They will be much more hawkish. "They feel like they have to inoculate themselves from being considered too pro-American."  .

Mr Trump's election victory 12 months ago stunned most go China's Americanologists, who failed, along with most US political experts, to predict it.

Yanmei Xie of Beijing consultancy Gavekal Dragonomics told the FT: "There was a lot of initial panic in China when Trump was elected, a lot of 'how do we handle this guy and who do we need to contact to establish communications?' "But China's management of Trump has been mature.

They have a good reading of Washington." Mr Trump is in China as part of his 12-day tour of Asia an North Korea is high on the agenda.

Mr Trump has threatened to unleash "fire and fury" on North Korea and has regularly taken to Twitter to issue threats against Pyongyang.

But he appears to have toned down the rhetoric on his Asian tour and yesterday urged Kim Jong-un to engage in talks on his nuclear ambitions.

He wants China to stand firm against its reclusive neighbours and observe tough trade sanctions adopted by the UN Security Council in a bid to end the crisis in the region.

But Shi Yinhong, a US specialist at Renmin University, said Mr Trump's tweeting "has boiled the US-China relationship down into one issue that is not solvable: North Korea".

Thoughts and Prayers and Literally Anything | November 8, 2017 Act 1 | Full Frontal on TBS - Duration: 8:12.

Welcome to "Full Frontal."

I am Samantha Bee.

First order of business-- damn, Virginia, you look good, today.

[CHEERING]

Hey, did you lose some dead weight?

Virginia really is for lovers because I

want to love all over your beautiful blue map

all the way to a messy climax.

Sorry, Blacksburg.

You're in the wet spot.

And a special congratulations to Virginia's

new delegate, Chris Hurst.

REPORTER 1: Chris Hurst, the boyfriend of a reporter shot

and killed on live TV in 2015, also elected in Virginia,

upsetting a three-time Republican incumbent

backed by the NRA.

REPORTER 2: Hurst running on a gun

control platform, an issue he says

was important to them both.

As great as these democratic victories feel,

they only matter if we use them to keep

fighting the important battles.

And after the week we've had, there

is nothing more important to me than gun control.

Look, I would love to not talk about gun massacres,

but we can't ignore them.

That's Congress's job.

When asked about what we can do about this epidemic

of killings, Republicans wasted no time releasing

their comprehensive plan.

These savvy politicians have a few different moves to dodge

the issue of gun violence.

They're stalling.

I mean, we could go into it, but it's a little bit

soon to go into it.

We don't need politics right now.

Mistakes are made when we try to hastily legislate issues.

Gun control and all of that-- it's not the time.

The rush to judgment, particularly by people

who are just to see politics-- it's disrespectful to the dead.

Oh, Kellyanne should know as someone who's

been dead inside for decades.

How is it not the time?

93 Americans a day die from gun violence.

It's like if a scary clown was killing 93 people per day,

and Congress was like, it's not the right time

to talk about the clown.

Oh, you wouldn't want to eat him, Pennywise.

He's all sinew and protein supplements.

And after Sunday's shooting in Sutherland Springs,

Texas's governor tried to comfort us.

We think that this is something heavy right now.

But put this in the context of history.

Look at what happened with Hitler.

Cool, buddy.

It's better than the Holocaust is not a high bar to clear.

Of course, when politicians want to dodge

the issue of gun violence, nothing

beats the timeless classic.

REPORTER: "Cecilia and I want to send our sincerest thoughts

and prayers." - Thoughts and prayers.

Thoughts, prayers.

REPORTER: "Karen and I send prayers."

- The power of prayer. - Thoughts and prayers.

The right thing to do is to pray in moments like this.

Because you know what?

Prayer works.

I'm sorry, but unless you're praying to the Aztec god

Quetzalcoatl and these mass shootings are human sacrifices,

your thoughts and prayers are not working.

Now, I don't want to belittle the devout beliefs of Second

Amendment enthusiasts.

We all know God wants us to have guns.

He says it right there in the Nine Commandments.

But thoughts and prayers are not a substitute for action.

And pretty much all Americans want action on this.

REPORTER: Almost all American voters, 94%,

including 93% of Republicans, support background

checks for all buyers.

94%.

Of course, the other 6% are actually half-gun.

Aww, he's so handsome.

He's going to be a real lady-killer.

Even 74% of NRA members support universal background checks.

But most people don't know that because scary Selena Gomez here

is the face of the NRA right now.

These saboteurs slashing away with their leaks and smears,

their phony accusations, and gagging sanctimony

drive their daggers through the heart of our future.

Their fate will be failure, and they will

perish in the political flames.

Oh god!

Is this what I sound like to conservatives?

[LAUGHTER]

Come on.

Responsible gun owners, you are better than this.

America's gun obsession is literally killing us.

It's almost as if firearms are the only thing we think about.

There isn't a silver-bullet solution.

- No silver bullet. - Silver bullets.

No magic bullet.

Triggered the shooter.

Is a better shot legally.

We don't really know exactly what happened

or why police felt they had to open fire.

So isn't Hillary Clinton jumping the gun?

Oh, that's a terrible-- forget I said that.

Not using gun metaphors?

Now that would be something worth taking a stab at.

Oh my god.

OK.

Look, the Republican Party has completely bought into the myth

that the only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun

is a good guy with a gun.

But that is not fair to ask of our nation's many good guys.

Good guys should be helping people move couches

and lending you their Netflix password.

They shouldn't have to risk their lives

in a church parking lot to protect

the world from a monster.

I mean, thank god there was a good guy nearby,

but Devin Kelley still shot almost

every person in that church.

In our country today, a lot more good guys

are getting stopped by guns, not to mention good women,

good children, good grandparents,

good teachers, good country fans, and good Christians.

We will never eliminate gun violence from our society,

but there are practical steps we can take to slow it down.

We just need Congress to step up.

If any legislators are accidentally watching my show

because they fall asleep during "Big Bang Theory,"

listen to me.

America appreciates your thoughts and prayers.

But we need more than that.

So while you all are praying for God's help, all we can do

is pray for yours with a little help

from the Harlem Gospel Choir.

[APPLAUSE]

(SINGING) Oh, lord, we pray one day

we'll do more than pray.

What if we did something in addition to praying?

Like seriously, literally, anything.

But mostly, God, I'm talking about legislating.

[CHEERING]

(SINGING) Awesome Father, you've given us so much power.

Yeah, lord.

You give us the faith to make mountains cower.

But can fair pass universal background check law?

Sorry not to get too political on you, God.

Oh, lord, we pray.

We pray.

One day we'll do more than pray.

One day we'll do more than pray.

Oh, lord, we pray.

Do you count tweets as prayers, God?

Oh, lord, we pray one day we'll do more than pray.

One day we'll do more.

Oh, lord, we pray one day we'll do more than pray.

And get some balls to Paul Ryan.

And give McConnell balls.

Oh, lord, we pray.

Give him some balls.

One day we'll do more than pray.

Oh, lord, we Pray Give him some balls.

One day we'll do more than pray.

Give him some balls.

[CHEERING]

You are amazing.

Thank you so much.

We will be right back.

North Korea on the brink? Kim Jong-un orders PURGES as he loses grip on rule - Duration: 3:27.

North Korea on the brink? Kim Jong-un orders PURGES as he loses grip on rule

Executions and imprisonments have been stepped up as Kim attempted to regain grip of his fragile rule in Pyongyang. South Korean spies revealed surveillance has also been stepped up on the dictator's allies.

Defectors have previously revealed Kim remains fearful of having his rule overthrown – both by the US and enemies inside North Korea.

Officials from Seoul's top spooks the National Assembly Intelligence Committee said the leader is trying to create a "climate of fear". It has emerged as US President Donald Trump visits South Korea today with North Korea at the top of the agenda.

"Kim has resumed the purges to tighten controls amid international sanctions and strengthen unity." Professor Nam Spooks revealed Kim Jong-un executed one of his generals in charge of anti-aircraft defences in Pyongyang.

Propaganda chiefs in charge of the Rodong Sinmun daily newspaper has also been sent to the gulag. They are due to "re-educated" after not celebrating a missile launch properly on the front page.

Kim began his rule with a series of purges, killing his uncle Jan Song-taek with help of his brother Kim Jong-chol.

The ruler appears to be closing ranks this year as he promoted his sister and ex-girlfirend to top jobs in the party. Prof.

Nam Sung-wook of Korea University said, Kim has resumed the purges to tighten controls amid international sanctions and strengthen unity.". Former deputy chief of the North Korean embassy in London, Thae Yong-ho, last week spoke out Kim's penchant for purges.

He said Kim feels nervous due to his position as Kim Jong-il's third son – fearing other regime bosses feel "superior". Mr Thae revealed the US could trigger North Korea to collapse from within as the power balance is so delicate.

North Korea has ramped up war fears this year as they repeatedly fired missiles and tested an H-bomb. Now the rogue state is promising to fire the dreaded Juche Bird – a live nuclear missile launched into the Pacific.

Daily Star Online revealed there are fears North Korea could fire a missile as Trump is visiting Asia until November 13.

World War 3: US ready to STRIKE North Korea after years of NUCLEAR BLACKMAIL - Duration: 2:37.

World War 3: US ready to STRIKE North Korea after years of NUCLEAR BLACKMAIL

blackmailed the United States for decades with continuous threats of nuclear strikes on the US because of ineffective Presidents.

Mr Gorka said Pyongyang will now have to decide whether to continue to pursue its plans toward World War 3 or accept to negotiate with US President Donald Trump.

Speaking to , the former Trump adviser said: This is something that has been festering for decades, facilitated by the Clinton Administration and made even worse under Obama.

It was nuclear blackmail on a global scale but it's now got to a point where we have a new Commander-in-Chief, Donald Trump, who said 'enough is enough!' We have a secretary of Defence, General Mattis, who said 'we will destroy you' meaning the regime of the North.

So this is decision time for Pyongyang. North Korea has ignored international condemnation and continued its efforts to push forward and create a deadly arsenal of nuclear weapons.

President has labelled North Korea a "menace threatening the world with nuclear devastation" during his latest speech in Seoul.

Mr Trump attacked the regime of despot leader Kim Jong-un and called on all responsible nations to unite to halt the nuclear threat from the rogue state.

The US President warned North Korea against making a fatal miscalculation as fears of World War 3 continue to soar.

Mr Trump is expected to use his two-day visit to Bejing to convince President Xi Jinping to lend his support in restraining North Korea, a close ally to.

Experts fear Kim could make his biggest statement yet by firing the so-called "Juche bird" – a fearful H-bomb – during Mr Trump's visit to Asia.

Russian Bots and Trolls | November 8, 2017 Act 2 | Full Frontal on TBS - Duration: 5:47.

- Welcome back to the show.

By now, most Washington officials

acknowledge that Russian hackers used social media to interfere

with the 2016 election.

Well, except the Washington official who won it.

But last week gave us a new perspective

into just how massive the operation was and is.

REPORTER 1: Facebook now admitting 150 million Americans

may have been exposed to Russian posts.

REPORTER 2: An operation innocuously

named "The Internet Research Agency" uploaded 1,100 videos

to YouTube and published more than 131,000

divisive messages on Twitter.

Granted, a lot of those videos were just

Putin's annoying vlog posts.

But still, (RUSSIAN ACCENT) next week, I

teach you how to contour face and poison journalists.

Now I know it's hard to imagine anything these days not somehow

being about Donald Trump.

But Russia's disinformation campaign wasn't

just about the 2016 election.

The Kremlin didn't care if Americans were

fighting for Hillary or Donald.

They just cared that we were fighting.

And it turns out whether we're Democrats

or Republicans, we're as easily manipulated

as Vlad's signature slime.

The shadowy Russian troll farm used a number of fake accounts

to promote issues that would basically

push our buttons as Americans.

It exploited differing opinions over immigration, refugees, gun

rights, the LGBTQ community.

A social media campaign calling itself "Blacktivist"

and linked to the Russian government

used both Facebook and Twitter.

The bogus Facebook account had 360,000 likes.

That's more than the verified Black

Lives Matter Facebook page.

Of course, when white people appropriated Black Lives Matter

it got more likes.

It's Miley Cyrus all over again.

They even use these fake Black Lives Matter accounts

to trick activists into organizing and attending

real life protests.

And sometimes, they arranged the counter-protests too.

A rally is set for later today in front of a Houston mosque.

A group called Heart of Texas is scheduled

to protest outside the Islamic Dawah Center.

REPORTER 1: The counter-protest was organized

to oppose a group against Islam who

called for an armed demonstration at the location.

What neither side could have known

is that Russia trolls were encouraging both sides

to battle in the streets and create division

between real Americans.

(CHANTING) Muslim people are welcome here.

White power!

Its like when Tiffany told Stephanie

that Bethany called her fat.

And then Tiffany told Bethany that Stephanie called her fat.

And then NATO dissolved.

So how do trolls blow up an unhinged message board

post into a front page story?

I will tell you.

The life cycle of a Russian troll op

is complex and putrid like if a flower

grew out of a stiff nightstand's sweat sock.

Starts with a seed of controversy.

Trolls begin by targeting something

Americans already hate.

Mostly Americans hate other Americans.

Trolls post about it.

Bots amplify it till they get lots of real people

to start arguing online.

And we argue and argue and argue.

And that amplification of pain is called trending.

Then Russian media reports on the rumors Russians created.

And they creep through the media cesspool

till they get on real news.

Americans see the rumor they were posting about on the news,

which makes it true. Well, trueish.

It feels true.

And that is what matters.

And this works because they are exploiting divisions that

already exist in our society.

The Russians wouldn't have succeeded

if they were trying to convince us

all to turn on American cheese.

On this we are united.

You will never convince us to give

up our orange sandwich vinyl.

But turn on each other?

No problem.

And as is true of literally everything, most of this

could have been avoided if we listened to women.

In 2014, black women began marking accounts they thought

were bots posing as black users with the hashtag

YourSlipIsShowing.

And it turned out they had correctly identified

a Russian propaganda operation that it took researchers

three more years to figure out.

Oh my god!

[APPLAUSE]

Black women can see the future.

Is that what black-girl magic is?

I asked Ashley to explain what's going to happen in 2020,

and she just said burning.

Oh, I hope that's cool slang.

So what does Putin get out of pressing

the self-destruct button on America?

The Kremlin can crumble democracies

from the inside out, achieving two key milestones--

one, the dissolution of the European Union,

and two, the breakup of NATO.

How dare Russia destroy America over two things

Americans don't give a shit about?

This better not have anything to do

with soccer or the metric system, you sick bastards.

[LAUGHTER]

So what does this all mean?

We don't yet know exactly how much

impact Russian internet trolls and bots

had on the 2016 election.

And I bet we'll still have questions

by the time national Vladimir Putin Day 2027 rolls around.

Don't knock it.

The mattress sales are going to be fantasti chiski.

Getting tricked into attending a pro-human-rights protest

isn't the worst thing that can happen to you.

The worst thing that can happen to you

is saying goodbye to someone and then realize that they're

walking the same way.

But remember, while the real Black Lives Matter was meeting

with candidates in an attempt to work for change,

a fake BLM account with more followers

was telling people to give up and do the most useless

thing any American can do--

vote for Jill Stein.

We'll be right back.

Last night in Osaka at a traditional bar with amazing taste&atmosphere![Battle Trip/2017.10.08] - Duration: 15:14.

- You're eating again? / - Of course.

Now, it's almost night time.

It's the final evening of our trip.

We need to go and find our last meal

which will accompany our final night.

This place...

As many will recognize, is Dotonbori.

I'm very familiar with Dotonbori.

This street that we're currently walking on...

- It's Dotonbori's backside. / - I see.

It is known as Ura Namba.

- This place... / - Tourists don't come very often?

It's where the locals like to congregate.

There are quite a lot of places for skewers

and standing bars here.

There are a lot of standing bars here.

- One shot at a time. / - That's right.

One glass and dish, then move to the next bar.

There are so many standing bars.

One glass and dish, then move to the next bar.

- That's right. / - It's fun.

This place really feels like a hidden back alley.

(Another secret hallway lies hidden here)

Our destination lies beyond this hallway.

But there are so many stores just here alone.

Is that another walkway?

Yes, there's another hallway inside that narrow alley.

You can't go there, Seyoon.

I can't. I'm claustrophobic. That'll spell trouble.

(Looking around)

I know exactly where it is.

Where is it?

I think it's this place right here.

- This store? / - Yes.

I think you're sweating because I guessed correctly.

No, it's because I'm hot.

Let's go in.

This place is right.

That place looks slightly difficult to find.

- But... / - If you get familiar, it's easy.

I've never been here myself.

I've only been nearby.

There were too many customers last time.

That's why I wanted to ensure I come here with you.

- What's famous here? / - Here?

- I hear that there's a special. / - A special item?

(Cho Saeho demonstrates his Japanese ability)

(He feels very sturdy)

I'm full of expectation since this is our last stop.

I'm sure it'll be great.

(The first dish appears)

(The most popular dish here is their kamameshi)

(This steamed rice dish requires a 30-minute wait)

We have to wait 30 minutes?

- It's called kamameshi. / - Kamameshi?

- It's steamed kettle rice. / - I see.

So, you just have to wait?

- After a wait, it's ready. / - We're waiting.

(Meanwhile, their next drinks arrive)

Our beer...

There's ginger in here.

But the color.

- It's peachy. / - Yes, it's peach-like.

It's bubbly.

- But it's ginger? / - Ginger alcohol.

Remember the red ginger we saw earlier?

Try it. It's pretty tasty.

(Move your hand)

Oh, my hand.

It has such a clean taste.

They put pickled ginger in it.

(Ginger shochu, approximately $4.30)

This is Japanese pepper.

What's Japanese pepper?

- This, this. / - That drink...

I preferred it.

- Japanese pepper? / - Yes, it has Japanese pepper in it.

(Japanese pepper shochu, about $4.30)

(How does it taste?)

- How is it? / - It kind of...

Tastes like lime. Kind of like a mojito. It's refreshing.

There's an aftertaste.

It's so good.

The end-note is so clean.

(They can be both enjoyed lightly)

I need to drink slowly.

My face gets beet-red.

- It's so red. / - What's with him?

- It's explosive. / - Is he bleeding?

Can you blur my mouth if I start laughing?

They blurred me in Beijing too.

It looks like he's a really bad person.

Like a person who can't return to Korea.

- But you can still tell it's him. / - He's drunk.

You know that I like you, right?

I really like you.

I really like you.

Please, don't say that. I think I'm going to throw up.

Don't say that.

Keep your inner feelings to yourself.

Honestly, I really like Hwijae.

But...

It's so much better with just the two of us.

What?

- It's much better without you. / - There you go.

??On this street without you ??

??There is nothing to do ??

Excuse me. Can we have a sausage, please?

You're finally ordering based on your preferences.

(The sausage has arrived)

- They had it on the menu. / - What's going on?

But it was so strange.

We ordered sausage and that's what we got.

Sausage?

But I ordered a sausage.

He thought I ordered "seseri."

"Seseri."

- Is that the chicken neck? / - Yes.

- The chicken neck meat? / - That's right.

But actually, this can be much tastier.

I've never seen that dish before.

- But it's tasty. / - Right?

- It's ridiculously good. / - It is.

It's incredibly good.

He got lucky.

The seseri is awesome.

It's so delicious.

Isn't it great?

It's slightly chewy with cartilage...

That has a slightly crunchy texture.

I've never seen this before.

- It looks really good. / - It's called seseri.

- I'm going to have to try that. / - Please do.

(They are falling into seseri's flavor)

(You haven't forgotten about me, right?)

They have to eat the rice.

(They ordered steamed kettle rice first)

(They had to wait 30 minutes)

- 3. / - Open!

- 3. / - Open!

(Steamy)

Is that medicinal rice?

Chicken and mushrooms...

(Steam rising)

The rice is done.

(Swallowing)

That's worth waiting for.

Look at the oily moisture.

It smells so good.

Give me your bowl.

This is my first time

seeing something like this in Japan.

Me too.

You can order this right away.

Then, after drinking and enjoying some finger food,

this would be ready when you crave it.

There's chicken broth inside.

You know how they make porridge

after you boil a chicken soup.

But this isn't quite a porridge. It's just steamed rice.

Glutinous rice?

No way. What is this taste?

What's going on?

(Standing ovation)

I feel like I ran into a bandit

while lost in the mountains.

And he happened to make me

his prized steamed rice dish.

It's lacking a bit of realism now.

Seriously.

It really hits the spot.

- Nice try. / - Don't do this then.

What do you mean? You said it.

I don't know. This doesn't suit me.

This doesn't suit me.

- I really want to try this. / - It's very light.

It has plenty of flavor from the chicken broth.

- That is really... / - They added grilled chicken.

- I know. / - It has to be good.

I was a bit doubtful when I heard

that we had to wait 30 minutes.

I doubted that this would make a good rice.

But it's cooked so well.

It's really good.

It's better than the rice I cook at home.

It's definitely not firm.

It looks like you're both new converts.

- Us? / - Yes.

Well, we were about to,

but that place is too narrow for us to enter.

You have to consider that.

- What did he say? / - The place is too narrow.

Did you eat well?

Yes, I ate way too well.

How did you enjoy my Chochelin selections?

I think it'll be worth following

for people who have been

to Osaka and Kobe 2 or 3 times.

That's the kind of guide it is. It was wonderful.

What are your top three choices?

Among the top three is Kuromon Market.

Oh, Kuromon Market. That place was great.

I keep thinking about the tuna earlier.

This place as well.

- This place? / - Just...

Being able to eat good food with some drinks

is the best way to wrap up a trip.

Even people who can't drink

will be able to enjoy those.

It's pretty much like ordinary refreshments.

I feel like I've become rich.

I felt as though I was being served.

This was our first episode.

I feel like a 2nd episode will be a great idea.

For me...

Take Hwijae for episode two.

No. It'll be good with just the two of us.

For the second episode...

- Cheers. / - Cheers.

(Chochelin and Nam Gyoik fell for Osaka and Kobe)

That was great.

I really want to visit Kuromon Market.

How much did you spend making your rounds there?

I thought $50 for the both of would suffice.

- $50? / - Yes.

- It's about $60 per person. / - $120.

- In total, about $120. / - $120.

- But... / - You spent $120 instead of $50, right?

Right.

- Without alcohol, right? / - Without alcohol.

A beer at every meal adds up quickly.

What was your favorite dish?

What do you determine is a must at Kuromon Market?

For me, it's the sea urchin.

- Sea urchin. / - Uni?

- Yes. / - The uni.

It's very tasty. The tuna bowl is also wonderful.

- Tuna bowl. / - And also, the crab leg.

- Those three. / - They're all good.

That's everything.

There's nothing to leave out.

How about you, Hayoung? What's something

that you must eat at the market?

It wasn't shown for long but

the scallop skewers seemed so good.

- It's to die for. / - The scallop skewers...

Aren't as good as you'd think.

- Pardon? / - Why?

- Really? / - It's the taste you'd expect.

- That's not it. / - But...

- That's not it. / - Even for the crab leg.

Sure, you get a little excited when you see it.

But when you taste it, it just crab leg.

But if you're going to pay

good money for the uncertain,

I think it's better to enjoy the flavors you already know.

- Nice one. / - Nice.

- Good work, Hayoung. / - Hayoung!

We expect to score a bit higher.

Then, how much is Chochelin and Nam Gyoik's

gourmet tour expense per person?

Our expense per person was...

$1,000?

- $130,000? / - $3,000... That's not it.

It was a total of $535.10.

- That was for 3 days. / - It's not that expensive, right?

It's not that big of a difference.

- So, $535 for 3 days? / - That's right.

- That's an $80 difference. / - That's right.

How much was the dining expense?

The dining expense per person...

Was $273.90.

- $270. / - I see.

- After eating all that? / - It's similar.

It's not as expensive as you'd think.

They even had Kobe beef, tuna and even sea urchin.

And a crab too.

If you would like to follow their itinerary,

please cast your votes.

(Chochelin and Nam Gyoik designed a Japan trip)

(What will the judges choose?)

Will it be the SeSang Tasty Trip to Singapore?

Or Chochelin and Nam Gyoik's tour

to Kobe and Osaka?

What did the judges choose?

- What is their decision? / - The last digit is important.

- The last digit is important. / - This determines it.

This is it.

In my opinion, the audience is a reasonable bunch.

I don't think the difference will be too big.

I think the winning team will win on a tiny margin.

That's right. That's why the last digit is important.

You must win with the last digit.

But both teams featured fantastic foods.

Will it be a 100?

- There's an 8. / - Will it be a 100?

- No! / - 100 votes?

- It can't be, right? / - It's obvious.

- No, this can't be. / - We'll be ahead.

- Here it goes. / - 8.

- Saeho, Saeho! / - 9!

- Saeho, Saeho! / - 9!

We did it.

Good work.

We won.

How can this be?

- Hold on. / - I think our score dropped.

- But how can we lose? / - It was so close.

Why did we drop in score in the second half?

We dropped too?

You had 80 last week.

- You had 81. / - It was 81.

I guess it was very tight.

It was a very tight match.

Why are you so good at acting?

Can you tell us how you feel?

We have finally achieved victory.

At the end, we discussed a possible episode two.

- I hope we can. / - Will you go with Hwijae?

No, I reject them.

Then, we shall reject you as well.

- That's so clear cut. / - Nice.

So, Hayoung. How was it

being our special host for two weeks?

- It was very... / - Wasn't it fun?

It was so much fun.

- I'm glad our team won. / - That's true.

Now that I'm aware of all these good restaurants,

I'll inform my members. When we go to Japan

or Singapore, we'll be sure to find our way.

Thank you.

To give you an announcement for next week,

we have gone again to another unvisited country.

- Finally? / - We're going there?

We've been to Asia, North America,

South America and Europe.

- That's right. / - Finally, we're going to Oceania.

- Oceania. / - We're going to Oceania?

- Oceania? / - Next week at 9:15 p.m.

- We'll be going to Australia. / - Oh, my God.

- Kangaroos. / - Oh, my God.

Please look forward to our Australia special.

The world is your school. Life is a journey.

Battle Trip!

(Next episode)

The weather is so good.

- It's so much better. / - So much better.

(Kwon Hyeoksoo, Jeong Jinwoon)

(Sunny, Hyoyeon)

(Enjoy, it is time to play)

Look at the fish.

Hooray!

Oh, wait...

This is amazing.

Today is exciting.

This is the best.

North Korea THREAT: Trump's World War 3 plan outlined by analyst – 'We will go to war' - Duration: 3:23.

North Korea THREAT: Trump's World War 3 plan outlined by analyst – 'We will go to war'

sparked fears of after it continued its international condemned intercontinental ballistic missile testing.

US President Donald Trump threatened to "destroy" the hermit nation and has used his tour of Asia to continue to mount pressure on Kim Jong-un to halt his nuclear ambitions.

The American also hinted he would be willing to start negotiations with North Korea in order to find a diplomatic solution to the crisis.

However, Mr Trump must maintain the appearance that he is ready to go to war at the drop of a hat, according to a political analyst.

Fox News' Pete Hegseth warned North Korea will not come to the negotiating table unless they genuinely fear the US President is genuinely ready to decimate the hermit nation.

Hegseth said: "You don't do so to in order to ratchet up a nuclear conflict, you do so to tell the Kim Jong-un regime you will go no further.

"That's why the President wanted to go to the DMZ, he wants to say 'we will go to war if necessary, to prevent living nuclear blackmail from you.' "We would prefer diplomacy, we avoid war, that's how you avoid death and how this is ultimately resolved.

"They have to believe that we'll do something militarily or else diplomacy has no chance." North Korea has accused Mr Trump and the US of heightening tensions in the region after the US President delivered a speech in South Korea.

North Korean officials said: "The United States is threatening us with nuclear aircraft carriers and strategic bombers.

"They are challenging us with the most vicious and demeaning provocations but we will counter those threats by bolstering the power of justice in order to take out the root cause of aggression and war."  .

Mr Trump had warned North Korea it will face disaster unless its despot leader abandons his nuclear ambitions. The US President said: "The weapons that you are acquiring are not making you safer, they are putting your regime in grave danger.

"Every step you take down this dark path increases the peril you face." Mr Trump spent two days in South Korea as part of his 12-day tour of Asia, telling Seoul's national assembly he is ready to find a diplomatic solution to the North Korea crisis.   .

Marbling Class 9 Kobe Beef with Cold Draft Beer is Unforgettable! [Battle Trip/2017.10.08] - Duration: 15:31.

Since we're going to Kobe,

we'll have to eat Kobe beef.

- Of course, that's a must. / - I've never had it.

- I've never had Kobe beef. / - It's incredibly good.

- You must have it. / - It's a must.

(The ace in the hole hasn't been revealed yet)

9th grade?

Kobe beef is originally cooked on the grill.

- Look at that. / - Those will melt in your mouth.

Let's go to my usual place.

This place is a little different. They use charcoal.

To enjoy a proper course, it will cost about $150.

Although we will be paying a lot,

we're going to have a luxurious dinner today.

The price...

It's more than...

How much was it?

- It's expensive. / - It's about $150 per person.

$150 per person?

- It costs that much. / - It's about $150.

We try to save money on everything...

But we decided to treat ourselves...

- To a luxurious meal for one day. / - Good job.

What's on the menu here?

The steaks are about $90.

- $90 for beef? / - Yes, $90.

A course meal is about $150.

- Depending on the season... / - That's right.

The ingredients change.

- We need to try that. / - Of course.

- What about beer? / - Of course, we're getting some.

- 2 draft beer please. / - 2 draft beer.

- Mr. Nam Gyoik. / - Yes.

Please explain something about Kobe beef.

They are all from black cows.

- Black cows? / - Yes.

We have yellow cows but they have black cows.

They are raised on grains and beer.

People even massage them.

- Do they massage cows? / - Yes, they massage.

They massage the cows, so the meat is really soft.

- The meat has a lot of marbling. / - That's right.

Its marbling is 9th grade.

- 9th grade? / - Yes.

It looks like a field with snow.

The important thing is

you can't get fat from eating this too much.

Why?

Because it's unsaturated fat,

you won't gain weight by eating this.

- You prepared a lot. / - Of course.

(The draft beer is served first)

- Should we drink bottoms up? / - Bottoms up?

- You need to drink beer bottoms up. / - Of course.

(Gulp)

(This is what I'm talking about)

They drink it so deliciously.

(That hits the spot)

I'm getting drunk.

Are you already drunk?

Already?

It feels different

when you drink local beer in that place.

(The course meal starts)

Are they starting the course?

- Yes, it's starting. / - That's right.

The owner changes his cooking style every time.

What is this?

Lime jelly.

- That's lime jelly. / - It's lime.

- It's lime jelly. / - It has acidity.

When we eat food with acidity at the start of our meal...

- It will stimulate our appetites. / - That's right.

How do you eat it?

- How do you eat that? / - How do you eat it?

That looks so pretty.

- It's a flower. / - Yeah. Cheers.

(What will the taste be like?)

Eat it with the jelly.

You're eating the beef with sweetness, right?

- It's sour. / - It has acidity.

- Aren't you overreacting? / - We're being honest.

- You didn't even chew. / - We're really being honest.

- It was really delicious. / - Were you dizzy?

(Yum)

I really felt like fireworks in my mouth.

- That beer. / - It feels like it's opening a door...

I'm looking forward to the rest of the meal.

It's like the welcome dish.

I'm too sad to eat this.

Then give it to me.

The opening must have been amazing.

- What is this? / - It's interesting to see it...

- Cooking in front of you. / - That's dashi.

(They're gawking at something)

(He's cutting delicately)

He's so delicate.

(He decorates it on top of dashi)

(He puts something else on top)

You can also eat this.

It looks like a flower but it's similar to perilla leaf.

It's shiso. I know shiso.

- It's like meat noodles. / - They cut it like noodles.

- Is that tartare? / - Is it?

Just sliced and served as is.

- They're eating it like noodles. / - It's like noodles.

- He cut it like noodles. / - Even the soup is good.

(He slurps in with the shiso flower)

Goodness. This is too good.

The first appetizer opened the door for the course.

The aroma of flowers came in

as soon as the door opened.

Oh, my.

- Sikyung will really like this. / - That's right.

The meat and the sauce are in such harmony.

- It's like you and me. / - That's right.

(Their friendship deepens with Kobe beef)

I think this is worth being extravagant for a day.

This really smells good.

- Isn't the appetizer over? / - It isn't.

Are those pine mushrooms?

Yes, those are pine mushrooms.

That's truffle butter inside the pot.

What is this, truffles?

The aroma is amazing.

This is cheating.

Sukiyaki?

- Oh, my. / - Yes, yes.

They have every luxurious ingredient in there.

(Just the look of it makes you happy)

Applause.

This is really amazing.

What should we do? This smell is amazing.

Oh, my. That looks really good.

Changhee and I talked about wanting to bring...

- Our future girlfriends here later. / - Girlfriends.

We need to pop the egg yolk.

It's really big.

- Will you eat that in one bite? / - Of course.

This is awesome.

That looks delicious.

Saeho, you should go back to the hotel if you're drunk.

Is it delicious?

- You look really drunk. / - I'm not.

I was impressed by Changhee enjoying that.

(He takes a big mouthful)

It looks like he's hurting somewhere.

He looks like he's sick.

Does he have a stomach ulcer?

- Call an ambulance. / - It was too good to be true.

It feels like I'm at a Kobe beef water park.

It feels like...

I'm sliding down on a Kobe beef ride.

- It's really tender. / - It's tender and melts.

(This is Kobe beef water park)

- That looks good. / - That must have been good.

- Is this all for us? / - Is that the main dish?

Not even half.

It's like he's dismantling a tuna fish.

- Oh, my. / - Look at the marbling.

- It's like a chain of mountains. / - That's right.

Mountains that are very close to each other.

Sikyung will really like this.

Why is he piling it like that?

Is he showing off the marbling?

The very center part is called chateaubriand.

We will be eating this.

Chateaubriand.

Chateaubriand is in the center of the tenderloin.

It's only a small part of the tenderloin.

You must do a lot of good deeds in your past life...

To eat this part.

- Really? / - Is it that rare?

You should chat with your girlfriend and eat this.

Definitely.

(The Kobe beef is roasting on a charcoal fire)

(Hearts pounding)

It really looks like snow.

I've never focused on something so much before.

I can't help but concentrate.

(You cannot take your eyes off this)

For me, it's fun to watch roasting meat.

- It's nice. / - It really is.

- You can't help but watch. / - It's like a movie.

It makes you relaxed when you keep watching this.

It heals my soul.

This time was really good for the soul.

(The outside is crisp and the inside is juicy)

(It's finally done roasting)

I really want to eat this.

- Two minutes? / - They didn't serve it right away.

- We had to wait another two minutes. / - Why?

To let the meat relax.

They're going to make the juice congeal a little bit.

They're locking the juice in.

(After 2 minutes)

They rested the meat.

Oh, my. The game is over.

That's just beautiful.

(Firm)

How many minutes are left?

- Why is it taking them so long? / - You'll get full...

- While waiting. / - Battle Trip is not a food show.

We had a hard time waiting.

(Densely marbled between the tender meat)

(This is the Kobe beef)

Put some wasabi on it.

Eat it like this.

(If you take a bite)

(Your mouth will be full of juice)

(It is so delicious)

- It was really good. / - It feels like...

The first snow is falling from the sky.

I want the snow to pile up.

I want the snow to pile up.

- That's ridiculous. / - But everything disappears.

- This is sad. / - That's a little too much.

He's a swindler.

- It really taste like that. / - It's not good for your health...

If it snows when you eat meat.

On the first day of snow...

Will she come?

I don't think she'll come, right?

It's a taste that makes you want to endlessly wait.

Really?

- Did you see "Gingko Bed?" / - Yes, I did.

- I feel like General Hwang. / - Like General Hwang?

Did they put salt on it?

- Yes, it's salt. / - He put salt on it.

- There's also some wasabi. / - Must be so good.

Putting some wasabi on meat is really delicious.

The salt looks like crystals.

It just completely melts.

- It's tough. / - No, it's not.

- It's tough. / - Do you have bad teeth?

- Your front teeth almost fell out. / - That's not true.

- Think about their meat. / - That's right.

Ours was...

Right. That's how it should be.

He's still eating while we're talking.

- I bit too much. / - The beef in your mouth is like...

He can't swallow it.

You need to cut it like this.

- It still has texture. / - It really still has texture.

There is snow between every strand of meat.

(This isn't the end)

- Oh, my. / - Wasn't that the main dish?

(It's the end-all)

Is that caviar?

- Oh, my God. / - It's caviar.

Bling, bling.

- That's amazing. / - Oh, my God.

(The last dish that will finish the course)

- They put caviar there. / - That is ridiculous.

- This can't be true. / - It's the beef buttock.

The beef buttock.

Sikyung's favorites are continuously appearing.

They have caviar on it.

I've only had caviar twice in my life.

- I also haven't had a lot of it. / - This is my second.

My second caviar.

Is caviar good?

- It's good. / - What does it taste like?

It goes with the meat perfectly because it's salty.

This part is the beef buttock close to the topside.

It's sweet and quite elastic, so you can chew it.

(3 appetizers and a main steak)

(They also have a caviar steak)

(He eats to the last caviar)

- This is really good. / - Isn't it really good?

Are we done tasting Kobe beef?

I didn't know there are so many tasty foods in Kobe.

I'm sad that the day is ending.

(The night has come in Kobe)

Aren't you tired?

I am a little.

Where have you been alone?

Since we're tired today...

I wanted to have a simple drink with you...

- In our hotel room. / - That sounds great.

- So I bought something. / - Something simple?

Yes.

- It's ramen. / - It cooks instantly.

My gosh.

- Is it an egg on the top. / - Yes, it is.

(Excited)

Japanese convenient store food...

Was there an egg in that ramen?

- Yes. / - Yes, there was.

- I was told... / - It looks good.

That it was the first instant ramen.

(Slurping)

(Inhaling)

The noodles are quite different.

Did you eat all the egg on the top?

No, I didn't. There is some left.

- Where? / - You'll find some in here.

- See? It's here. / - I can't see it.

Here it is.

- You ate it all. / - No, I didn't. Here is some left.

You mean this little piece?

Okay, I'm sorry.

I'm the one who bought it but I'm blamed now.

I bought this for you.

And you ate all the egg?

- I said I didn't. / - They're quarreling.

- They're quarreling again. / - That's how you fight.

Are you a magician or what? How can it disappear?

That was a funny comment.

What do you want me to do now?

- There was no egg at all. / - How could you?

- I really wanted to eat it. / - I'm just saying I'm upset.

- I don't want anything from you. / - Okay. Don't eat it.

(Is it that hard to relate to me when I'm upset?)

They look like a husband and wife.

We're like a married couple.

Looks like you'll just go to bed now.

What do you mean? I'm still eating.

- I think you will. / - Okay. I will really go to bed.

I don't want to eat anymore.

Hey, wash before you go to bed.

- No, I won't. / - He's telling him to wash up.

- My gosh. / - He told me to wash first.

North Korea: Kim Jong-un remains silent as country RECALCULATES attack strategy

could still strike the United States once its military fine-tunes its missile arsenal capacities. Speaking to , Ms Kang said: They are using this lull to fine-tune some technical aspects of what further provocation they might undertake.

Further provocations are always possible and so we are watching very closely. But certainly, this period of lull gives us an indication that North Korea is also recalculating.  .

North Korea has ignored international condemnation and continued its efforts to push forward and create a deadly arsenal of nuclear weapons. US President has labelled North Korea a "menace threatening the world with nuclear devastation" during his latest speech in Seoul.

Mr Trump attacked the regime of despot leader Kim Jong-un and called on all responsible nations to unite to halt the nuclear threat from the rogue state.

The US President warned North Korea against making a fatal miscalculation as fears of World War 3 continue to soar. He wrote on Twitter: NoKo has interpreted Americas past restraint as weakness. This would be a fatal miscalculation.

Do not underestimate us. AND DO NOT TRY US.

North Korea frequently arranges its missile tests to coincide with major international meetings and the President's visit could be the perfect opportunity for the rogue state.

Joshua Pollack of said North Korea could fire the weapon in a desperate show of force against the United States and its allies. Mr Pollack said: North Korean leadership undoubtedly feels pushed into a corner.

The logical sequence of actions would be to start testing them to full range into the Pacific and then to use one for a live nuclear test if it is deemed necessary to convince America's leaders that a new reality has emerged.

So let's get started

To make sweet and tangy flavoured nuts

Here I have taken 1/3 cup of Almonds and 1/3 Cup of Cashews

You can use any other nuts of your choice

Shape of your bowl should be broad, you can also use microwave safe plate

If you will use deep bowl you have to stir it again and again otherwise nuts will burn

Microwave it for 3 min

My microwave is 900W . If wattage of your microwave is different pls adjust the time accordingly

I have rosted these nuts for 1 more min means in total 4 min and now these are in nice golden color

To flavour these nuts I m adding 1 tbsp of honey and coating these really well

Mix it really well

Now add black pepper powder, salt and chat masala

You can add red chili powder or any other spices according to your taste

Mix all these spices with nuts really well

And microwave it again for 2 min

And our crisy, sweet & tangy flavoured Rosted nuts are ready

Here I have taken 1 large potato, peeled and sliced

Make sure your slices should be very thin alternatively you can also use slicer

If your potato slices are thick then your chips won't be crispy

Now put these slices in ice cold water for 5-10 min so that it will be more crispy

Dry these potato slice on a kitchen towel to make these more crispier

You can also use paper napkin to remove extra moisture

Line a microwave safe plate with parchment paper and spread potato chips on it

Brush little oil on top of the potato chips to make it crispy

Microwave these on high power for 4 min

After 4 min chips start loosing their moisture

Flip these chips and again microwave it for 2 min

And after 2 min our crispy potato chips without deep frying is ready to eat

Season it with some salt n pepper and our potato chips are ready

To make popcorn here I have taken a paper bag which you can easily find in the market

Here I am adding 1/4 cup of corn kernels and fold the paper bag properly

Don't staple or paste the bag simply fold it gently so that during the process it should not be open

Make sure size of the paper bag should be big enough so that popcorn can easily pop

Microwave it for 3 min

And your 3 min microwave popcorn is ready

There is lot of steam inside the paper bag so open it carefully

If you like this video give this a big thumbs up and share the video with your friends and family

And if you like such type of videos please let me know by comments

[Interview] Matsuzaki Yoshiaki - Japanese Bokken Artisan (Part 2/2) - Duration: 19:57.

Well,

I've taught my son to a certain extent the art

and now it's my son's turn to engage young people,

my son's children

or in other words my grand-children.

If it (the art) will be continued, I don't know,

because I don't know if at least my grand-children will continue.

What comes with the generation after my son, I can't say anything about it.

But the young people today, my son's generation,

or the generation after,

if they realize what amazing traditional craft the Miyakonojo Bokken are,

and if they understand its value, there are for sure people who would want to learn this work.

And as the cycle of eras and history repeats themselves,

they'll appear again,

Those people who can feel the fascination regarding the Bokken, regarding this work,

and it (the art) will be continued I think.

Even if it's not our workshop, at another place, it's likely to continue.

I can't tell exactly (how the future of the Bokken industry will look like).

But what I wish for is that

my grand-children's children

would still continue. But that'd be the ideal

and I know that I won't live to see that, so I don't know (what the future brings.)

That's how it is...

Even if there's only one young person,

not necessarily from Miyako but from

anywhere in Japan, if there's only one or two

people who are interested in Bokken and its fabrication, I'd be thankful for that.

Well, first of all, there'd be the language barrier, and the unfamiliar daily customs.

Having to endure this as part of the traineeship.

And also, during that period, the salary among the disciples is low, compared to what's the ordinary.

For example.

Regarding that, who could endure such daily aspects?

I think that, Japanese or foreigner,

doesn't matter.

Japanese or foreigner: If there's a person with a strong desire and will.

I'd accept anyone.

Yeah, that's the fact.

But since this art has been existing in Japan since ancient times,

I probably would pose as condition to not sell the art abroad

and perhaps some other conditions.

But from now onward, in the Japanese handicraft world,

spreading the art, in a good way of course,

should be conceived as a good thing,

Well, at least I think that's good.

Well, I think the Miyakonojo Bokken artisans

have to make the items properly.

First of all,

how much Japanese oak do you find in the world.

Japanese oak is flexible yet, hard and heavy.

It's a timber with very specific characteristics.

In every country, like in China, there are places with the same latitude than Japan.

I heard that there are regions with the same environmental conditions.

But these mountains haven't been exploited yet,

so I don't know about the future.

Well, from now on...

In the Bokken manufacture craft, or any other craft,

the hereditary system,

passing on from parents to children

and children to grand-children,

could be a good system.

But if you consider only this option, the industry

will not last for long, there won't be a continuation.

That's a difficult problem, and I don't know the future...

My wife is in charge of the varnish finish,

and putting the Bokken into the plastic bags.

We work as family, the 3 of us together.

Well, foreigners...

I recently saw a French women doing Karate on TV.

To her, practicing Karate was more than just doing it for physical health or style.

It's about the spirit of Budo that exists in Karate.

There are many people thinking like this.

And to learn that, she came from France to Okinawa.

To practice the true Karate, in context.

She wanted to learn that and stayed for about a week.

Of course...

most Budo practitioners

want to forge their spirit and body seriously but,

how can I say...

...there are also people only doing it because they think:

"Doing Karate like this, that's cool!"

But of course, not all of them.

It's actually the same with us,

Bokken makers are Bokken makers. And of course, arc makers are arc makers etc-

...how can I explain..

I wouldn't want to have a Bokken made from someone who doesn't understand the spirit of the Bokken making.

I want someone who continues the tradition of that true spirit.

This one features an oil polish finish right?

It very much looks like the kind of Bokken we produce.

That shape is about the same everywhere.

It's good timber!

[Jordy: The weight is there, too.]

Yeah, it's heavy, it's good.

And it's well finished.

This part very much looks like

the Bokken we were making in the past.

It happened that this guy from Hollywood -

what was his name again?

The one who did the movie "Ninja",

who was a producer before, having a Dojo now and is quite famous.

We used to send him 200, 250 pieces a year.

And till now, we receive his orders, and sent out another 50 pieces recently, and got another order...

He was working in the Hollywood film industry.

He was doing Iaido, as well as his son, who is quite famous now.

He places an apple on his son's head, seriously.

And cuts it (in half) with a real sword...

He had several different shapes of our Bokken.

I've known him for a long time.

Already more than 10 years... not 20 yet, though.

Because his father is living in Okayama.

He used to come visit, but now,

I develop the Bokken talking to him on the phone.

The shape seems good.

Yeah, good shape.

Making a shape to that degree,

finishing it off with sanding and it becomes nice.

The timber is also heavy, good material.

It resembles the Bokken my father used to make in the past, like the first ones made in Miyakonojo.

Back then, the shape was like this.

It was bit more shaved out here though.

In our days..

The majority of Bokken abroad feature a Tsubanashi finish, (no Tsuba line) because many practitioners don't use Tsuba.

That's why the Bokken I send to the US are often with such Tsubanashi finish. Without Tsuba line.

So one is 25,000 JPY?!

[Jordy: Yes, one is 25.000 JPY]

In Miyakonojo, this would be about 3,000 JPY!

In Japan, a swordsmith would say 'iron is a living thing,'

a potter would say 'earth is a living thing,'

while a lacquerer would say 'lacquer is a living thing.'

In modern technological thinking, the self cuts itself apart from nature

and assumes omnipotence and looks at nature as an entity

from which resources are to be taken from its own good.

Contrary to this, the technology of traditional craftsmanship does not support the concept of "man vs. nature,"

but takes on a more coequal relationship in which man, nature and technology are part of a whole.

Bokken manufacture is no different:

ancient traditions, technology and nature are united in a way only Japan knows the secret.

I've thought about it, though...

After all, in one year, we sell about 18,000 pieces.

The Aramaki and Horinouchi workshops probably more.

Workshops with such production capacity can't really negotiate higher prices.

Anyways, Bokken have a very specific shape, the Miyakonojo's workshops specific shape.

And because there are very few craftsmen abroad making them, its value is high.

I guess that's why it's [Bokken made in France/US/Portugal...] sold for so much.

But let me tell you,

although there is the problem of the resources,

we supply Kendo practitioners within Japan,

and wholesalers like you for example,

so there are people who need to make a living from this business.

Even if Seido would buy (our Bokken) for 25,000 JPY,

you definitely couldn't sell it for 50,000 JPY.

That's why we...

Since the olden days, the wholesalers took good care of us.

Without them, we couldn't sell anything, because we're not businessmen.

Only because the wholesalers can sell the amount we produce,

we can make a living.

How commerce is organized depends on the industry.

If its only us making profits, but not the wholesalers,

we'll get complaints from the customers (that we cannot set a proper price).

That is how we work.

And that is, how we set the price

While discussing with the wholesalers,

it's not the wholesalers (who complain), but the directly supplied retailers.

The wholesalers say: "We sell it for this price, so if you, Mr. Matsuzaki sell it for that price, we'll be in trouble."

And: "Some of us won't be able to continue business, if we cannot sell it at a higher price than what we pay already".

I have to consider that.

But,

it's also true that, nowadays, it can't go on like this.

However, from back then till now I receive big orders from the same wholesalers.

And I cannot betray those wholesalers.

That's why things are the way they are.

To set the price, to a certain extent I have to discuss and decide it with the wholesalers.

The material costs are that much, adding the labor and manufacturing time,

so considering the expenses, we have to match the price.

Yeah,

even master Nidome has cheap prices. That the Miyakonojo Bokken are cheap,

everyone says it.

I continuously discuss this with master Nidome.

But the other 2 workshops are still cheap.

So we cannot (randomly higher the price). That's the discussions we have.

In the end, setting the price, every workshop has to decide it on its own.

(Within that) master Nidome and I, we think prices are too low.

Now, it takes that much effort and the material costs are getting higher every year, and (our win) decreases.

Accordingly, the price will become higher a bit.

Taking the price my father decided on back then, which already was way too low,

as basis, the margin for the price hike is narrow.

But I have to do at least something...

It's difficult.

Now, this is my personal thought, but I really believe that we cannot continue like this.

Considering the effort it takes, and of course the costs of the raw timber, the material,

further letting it dry for 1-1.5 years,

which actually means that during that time, I have about one million yen alone immobilized.

The interest rate of that money,

calculating all these things and mentioning all the details.

How much time does it take, how high are the costs to make one piece.

Determining this, to set a minimal price,

I think that we absolutely have to do that if we don't want to com up against a wall.

Actually, I think, and as mentioned before master Nidome agrees,

the price is too low.

The Bokken (you showed me before) is sold for 25,000 JPY... I can't imagine this.

If I'd sell (my Bokken) for 25,000 JPY, I could make only 1000 pieces in one year,

and just have some fun (during the rest of the year)...

How much we gain from 10,000 JPY worth of white oak, depends on the products.

Depending on the item, they take more or less effort

so we adapt the price to the time spent on the item.

Calculating the material costs etc. for a standard Bokken,

it would be appropriate to raise the price by about 400 or 500 JPY

If all of us (the 4 workshops) could raise the prices together..

Maybe (a raise of) 1-200JPY

Actually, the white oak Suburito,

the red oak Suburito, there's almost no difference in price among these 2 models.

Although, the raw white oak timber is now super expensive.

But the customer would be surprised,

that the price difference between red and white would be that huge.

One log of raw white oak timber...

For example, if it was red oak, I could make about 100 Bokken, but white oak, probably not even 50 Bokken.

There are black parts in the middle, and therefore less usable material in white oak.

Based only on that, the costs of the material are doubled, right?

Adding the additional trouble to sort out and cut it properly [avoiding black and low quality parts],

it's natural that there should be a difference in price, at least 1,000~1,200 JPY.

However,

now the difference is maximally about 800 JPY (between red and white oak).

But I'd actually want to have a difference of 1,000 JPY.

But I can't even get that.

That's how it currently is.

It's difficult.

That's why,

These problems will even affect our successors.

(A price allowing) to leave a certain profit, leading to a certain standard of living.

So we need a good price for the items and still sell enough,

and that again raises the salaries...

which we have to pay to our young people. So everything is connected like this...

So to be honest, from now on, I think that

the craftsmen have to set the price themselves.

Until now, we discussed with our wholesalers,

considered the situation of our clients,

the world conditions, observed the sales, and decided the price.

But from now on, we have to see the real value of our work for what it is.

And that's different for every craftsman.

I and master Nidome, master Horinouchi, and master Aramaki, we all have our own sense of value.

And each one of us has to set their own prices.

That's the future.

That would be the ideal.

And I explained that to my son.

We can't continue harmonizing our prices among us.

It's about the value we give to specific items.

If from now on, the number of craftsmen will decline,

it's the craftsman who made the item who knows best,

and it's him who should set the price.

That's the artisan's world.

That's also how it works with artisans abroad.

The artisan who made it,

sells it for the price he sets.

It's the time we live in now. If we don't adapt to it soon,

we won't be able to have successors for our work.

That's how it is.

Japan is probably the only non-Western society that

has succeeded in the quest to become postmodern, without becoming Western.

Structural changes within the society occurred as part of the process of modernization

such as lower birth rate, and changes in the family structure.

Today, traditional craftsmen have to face multiple challenges:

the shortage of resources, the evolution of the society, the relative lack of liberty in their work,

the desire to be succeeded, the fidelity to tradition against the modernity with its ideals of progress.

In this troubled times, Master Matsuzaki is honored by his openness

and makes us remember that evolution is an uncertain process

that needs to be addressed with an open mind and embraced with goodwill.
