Yo, my name is Heartbreak, and one thing that I like to do to escape writer's block

is I like to name my songs before I make them.

I have a perfect example for you, my track is called The Feels, let's take a listen to it.

Now I decided to my an IDM track called The Feels.

By naming my track in advance the first thing that I know that I needed,

is I needed have something that was emotional.

I started with a chord progression, with lush and ambient pads,

and once I had that going,

I then added in a reggae guitar to give it even more of an organic vibe.

The benefits of using this technique are: it narrows my focus.

It makes my sound design more cohesive.

And on top of that, it allows me to be more creative and have more fun,

and ultimately, that's what it's all about.

was "disturbing" to see that some of the yellowcake uranium had made its way overseas

of $16.2 million, rental costs of $8.9 million; and other costs totaling $5.4 million,"

according to the proposal…

CPB received $445 million in federal funding, according to the most recent data available

from the organization.

Those federal funds made up 15 percent of PBS funding and ten percent of funding for

NPR radio broadcasting.

I'm sure many of you were shocked to learn that $445 million goes to public programming.

That's 445 million of your dollars.

They fund LGBT programs aimed at children.

And radio programs that push Socialist propaganda.

It's a wonder why the government is funding art and television.

It seems like some kind of conflict of interest.

If free speech is to free from government influence, then why is CPB taking government

cash?

Especially since the company gets more money from donors and even corporate sponsors.

it's like, OK, here I am six weeks till the conference and I could pursue fame

and then be horrible on the keynote stage

or I could say goodbye to all that stuff and focus on what my tribe cares about.

Welcome to 2 minute neuroscience, where I explain neuroscience topics in 2 minutes or

less.

In this installment I will discuss taste.

The tongue is covered with many little bumps, which are sometimes mistakenly called taste

buds.

These small lumps of tissue, however, are known as papillae.

Taste buds are found in the walls of papillae and the grooves surrounding them.

Each taste bud contains anywhere from 50 to 150 taste receptor cells.

Extending from these cells are fine microvilli, sometimes called taste hairs or gustatory

hairs, which protrude through an opening called the taste pore into the mouth.

These microvilli come in contact with substances in the mouth that can be tasted, also known

as tastants.

Tastants interact with taste receptor cells through a number of different mechanisms to

depolarize the cells.

When taste cells are depolarized, they release neurotransmitters that stimulate sensory neurons

that travel in cranial nerves VII, IX, and X.

These neurons terminate on neurons in the nucleus of the solitary tract in the medulla.

From there, taste information is sent to the thalamus.

Then, taste information is sent to the gustatory cortex, which is a region of the cerebral

cortex found along the border between the anterior insula and a structure called the

frontal operculum.

The gustatory cortex allows us to consciously discriminate different taste stimuli.

The taste information sent along these pathways is thought to encode for basic tastes, such

as sweet, salty, sour, bitter, and savory or umami (whether there are others is still

being debated).

However, the actual flavor of a food---which is what we typically define as taste---is

created by a combination of taste and olfactory information.

Xiaomi Mi LED Smart TV 4 First Impressions and Features Overview | Digit.in - Duration: 6:28.

Hey guys welcome to digit.in and what we have with us today is what Xiaomi

recently announced a Mi TV which is an LED TV that has launched in India. And

apart from being at an attractive price point and boasting of 4K HDR

capabilities, the TV has an interesting feature set. The TV is really slim

measuring 4.9 mm at its thinnest point and about thirty eight point nine at its

thickest. The speakers are down firing and the TV is edge lit from the bottom,

which is why it is so thin at the top. Let's get some disappointing factors out

of the way. The TV only has an SPDIF port for audio output. It has an HDMI arc too

but I have a pair of speakers that's about 3.5 mm or RCA and I can't connect

them to the TV which is a bummer. You will have to invest in a coaxial digital

adapter cable if you want this to work. If you have a pair of speakers that

support bluetooth then you can connect them via bluetooth to the TV. When it

comes to connectivity the TV has three HDMI ports. One of them is an arc and two

USB ports on the side. At the back you have an Ethernet port, AV input and good

old antenna connection as well. Now the Mi TV 4 does support the 4k resolution

but it only supports HDR 10 and not Dolby vision. The company says that since

most of the content is produced in HDR 10 it will continue to support HDR 10.

And Dolby vision, well if the future demands it then they may just consider it.

We played some 4K content on Netflix with the Xbox one X attached to the TV.

And for the most part it looked good. The panel on the TV is quite reflective

though and the audio output from the speaker is underwhelming too. But we will

reserve a final judgement of the picture quality for our review. To remember the

TV does support 4K at 60 Hertz. Now when it comes to the user interface

which xiaomi calls patch wall on this TV, things get very interesting. Xiaomi has

tried to redefine the Smart TV user experience by keeping content at the

center stage. So you no longer need to go through apps like hotstar or voot or

Netflix or any of the service provider apps to actually get into the content.

Well Netflix is not yet a part of these services. But the content is what takes

center stage. So you actually select the content and the app comes later. If

you're confused let me explain. When you switch on the TV

you will be greeted by a host of content and not apps. So you will see a bunch of

movies and TV shows that you can start watching irrespective of the source. So

for example if the content in front of you is The Dark Knight and you click on

it, it will either start playing on the Hungama app or start on a channel on

your DTH box if the movie is playing on a DTH service provider at that point in

time. This is very similar to the TV OS that we've seen on Apple's Apple TV

devices. But unlike the Apple TV which focuses on being online all the time

because all the content that the Apple TV pulls is online, Xiaomi's operating

system focuses on offline. So this OS essentially picks up everything that

your DTH service provider is giving you. So you no longer need to go to your DTH

service providers remote control nor do you need to go through their program

guide. The program guide, the channels, the TV's, the movies or TV shows, everything

is integrated into the operating system of the TV which is really really

interesting. However we haven't been able to test that feature yet. But stay tuned

as we will bring you an in-depth look at that in our review. The TV doesn't come

with a subscription to the online content sources such as Hungama or Voot

or any other paid subscription that is available on the TV. If you want to watch

content on Hungama and that content is in a part of the free library then you

will have to get a subscription to watch it. Sadly Netflix isn't a part of the

service providers that Xiaomi has partnered with and sideloading a Netflix

app will not help.

Search is a very interesting feature on the Mi TV4. If you search for dark

shadows for example and the movie is available on any of the services that

Xiaomi has tied up with, it will appear in search. When you click the movie it

will start playing. You don't need to open the specific service provider app

or go through the particular apps login. It is quite seamless especially if you

are subscribed to the services on Xiaomi's offer. Sticking with services, as

of making this video, only Sony, Hungama and VOOT are active on the TV. But

Xiaomi says that there are more services that will be active soon. Users will not

need to do anything to implement the service apart from subscribe to them. As

long as the TV is connected to the Internet, the update will happen

automatically. The sad news is that Netflix and Jio TV are not a part of the

eight to ten services that will be active soon. The services will be

available in 15 languages 14 Indian languages plus English. Now based on your

viewing experience the TV will throw up content that you really like to watch. If

you like to watch a lot of action movies then you will get a lot of action movies

as recommendations. However if mom at home likes to watch a lot of soap operas

and TV shows then that will come up as recommendations to the TVs operating

system. Currently it doesn't support profiles but Xiaomi says that they are

working on profiles and that should come soon. Now another very interesting thing

is that the operating system of the Mi TV is actually based on Android but it

doesn't have the Google Play Store. So you'll have to sideload any apps that

you want to run on the TV. Now xiaomi understands that sideloading

might not be a very easy thing for everyone to do. So they are working on

something that is actually very very cool in the future. If you have a xiaomi

smartphone you can simply download an app that you want to TV on that

smartphone and so long as you are on the same Wi-Fi network that app will

automatically download and install on the TV. Now this is a fantastic feature

in concept and xiaomi is working on it which means we will get to see it in

action in the near future and we actually can't wait to try it out. Now taking

inspiration from the Fire TV stick remote control and the Apple TV remote

control, the Mi TV 4 brings a minimalistic remote control that gets

the job done. On the top left corner we have the power button below which rests

the directional buttons with the select button in the center. You also have the

home, back and menu buttons along with the volume rocker. Overall the Xiaomi

Mi TV 4 is packed with features and we are still digging and getting used to

the UI. An interesting thing that Xiaomi has emphasized on is the fact that they

will not just launch this TV and forget about it.

The company will work on improving the services and features on offer via

updates and we would like to see the performance and evolution of the

services on the main TV in the coming days. Thank you for tuning in and for

Hi everyone Justine Froelker here and it's Therapy Thursday and as you all

know I'm growing a couple businesses or it's just like one business cuz it's all

underneath me and all things I love but one of those that I'm growing includes

you know a team of people and we're going through some growing pains and I

made a mistake and because I have people in my life and a tribe around me that

have done the Rising Ever Upward work with me we were all able to talk about

it in a healthy productive way and I was

able to circle back and we were all able to talk through all of it especially in

regards to the stories that were making up and so it was one of my teammates was

like this is a great lesson and so one of the things that comes up when we are

in relationship with others so you must be vulnerable when you're in

relationship right like that creates connection if you are human you are

vulnerable if you are in relationship you are vulnerable which means because

we're flawed human beings we are going to make mistakes and we will need to be

able to circle back and that's why I'm such an advocate for asking for what you

want and need so what we were going through is I had a couple realizations

pop up number one as the facilitator of this work that has walked over 60 people

through it at this point and teaches it and reads on it and practices it myself

practice it myself every single day I know a lot about the 'shitty first drafts'

that we all have as Brene calls them the stories that we make up and most of them

as I've shared before stem from something in regards to I'm unworthy I'm

unlovable I don't deserve I'm invisible I don't

matter whatever it might be pick your poison but as one of the facilitators of

this work what I'm finding is that I am pretty cognizant of someone's SFD before

they are and what's happening is that I know that

how they're responding to me is really the story that they are making up that

does not stop it from triggering in me the stories that I make up and then what

we all have is a bunch of people who are rumbling with emotions and the stories

that they make up their shitty first drafts and thank God my teammates have

done this work with me and we are able to actually talk through it and so

there's this element of like my friend was like what I mean how do we do that

like how do we know that other people are rumbling and we're rumbling and

we're all in our heads about the stories that we make up and it comes back to

like well my my TED Talk like 99% of your response to someone else is about

your shit it is just like The Four Agreements say take nothing personally

on the flip side of that my response to you is about me and I had to own that

with my team I had to say like this feedback which I need and appreciate

totally brings up my SFD of you work so hard and it's never enough ever you are

invisible you don't matter and of course like them the same story keeps going and

so today I want you to walk through your day when you are with your loved ones

with your co-workers with your children have that in the back of your mind I

talk a lot about being cognizant of what's the story that you're making up

but also be able to ask yourself what's the story that they could be making up

because most likely when we have that foundation of vulnerable authentic truth

we can come from compassion for ourselves and others Gracie's got to go

Soft and Chewy Low Carb Peanut Butter Cookies – Keto Cookies - Duration: 4:07.

Welcome all! Papa G here. Today I present my soft and chewy low carbohydrate peanut butter

cookies. Some version of this classic cookie have a tendency to be a little on

the dry side. I've replaced one or two ingredients to help soften the texture,

while still keeping that great peanut butter cookie taste. Let's get started.

Standard peanut butter cookie recipes call for brown sugar, which is simply

just white sugar mixed with a bit of molasses. To help mimic that flavor, we're

gonna create our own maple syrup by adding a third of a cup of tapioca syrup

and a teaspoon of real maple extract. Mix together well and set aside. Add a

half a cup of vegetable shortening to a mixing bowl and a granulated sugar

substitute equal to 3/4 of a cup of regular sugar. Cream both together. We're

using shortening instead of butter in this recipe. Shortening is a hundred

percent fat, whereas butter is about eighty-five percent. This extra fat will

give our cookies a softer texture. Add one lightly beaten egg and a half a cup

of natural creamy peanut butter. Mix with a spatula to incorporate. Use a downward

motion, pressing the mix to the sides of the bowl to help mix in the shortening

and sugar substitute. Now add our homemade maple syrup and give that a mix.

Add some salt; some baking powder; and some baking soda.

Once everything is mixed together, add one and a half cups of almond flour. Stir

and mix the almond flour in. Once our batter is thoroughly mixed, cover with

some plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least an hour to

overnight. Once our batter has a time to chill, remove from the refrigerator and

we'll begin to construct our cookies. Grab some cookie dough with your hands

and roll into a ball, measuring no more than about an inch. Repeat until all the

dough is rolled. This batch rendered 24 cookies. You may get a little more or

less depending on the size of your dough balls.

Place the dough balls on a parchment lined baking sheet. Be careful not to

overcrowd, as these cookies will spread just a bit when cooking. Gently push the

dough balls down with your hands to form a small circle. Now traditional peanut

butter cookies have an obligatory crisscross pattern on the top. I didn't

want to get in trouble with the cookie police, so I decided to add it to the top

of mine. If you add this step, you may want to oil the fork to help prevent it

from sticking to the cookie. Place the cookies in the middle of a preheated 375°F

oven for 12 to 17 minutes, or until the outer edges of the cookies

begin to brown. If you're baking two sheets at a time, rotate the cookies

halfway through the baking process. When they're done, it's important to let them

cool completely before handling them. At least 20 to 25 minutes. These peanut

butter cookies have a great texture and taste; perfect for when you want a little

something sweet. There you have it folks. My soft and
