Remember when your only worry in the world was having to keep up with the Kardashians?

Then, the reality TV universe threw a curveball your way in the form of TLC's 17 Kids and

Counting.

Soon, 17 grew to 18, 18 grew to 19 and as some of those 19 started having babies of

their own, America grew more and more fascinated with the Duggar family.

In a family the size of a small army, standing out is no easy task.

However, thanks to her candid and forthright demeanor, Jessa Duggar has managed to accomplish

just that.

The young wife and mother seems to constantly be in the news, for either her parenting skills

or rumored pregnancies but there's more to this Duggar daughter than meets the eye.

Here's the untold truth of one of reality TV's most famous faces.

A difficult childbirth

Famous for being one of America's largest families, the Duggar clan seems to grow by

the second.

In fact, Duggar pregnancies have become such a common event that People created a guide

to help any inquiring minds stay up-to-date on the expecting Duggars.

But Jessa's 2015 birth to her first son almost ended tragically.

After a difficult delivery at home, the new mother was rushed to the hospital, requiring

a blood transfusion and overnight stay.

"Mother is bleeding after birth"

Luckily, she made a full recovery, and the traumatic experience made her that much more

grateful for the "surprisingly fast" and easy birth of the second Seewald son.

$40,000 per episode, and counting

Jessa and now-husband Ben Seewald came under fire in 2015 when they appeared to solicit

wedding gifts from fans of 19 Kids and Counting.

In a post on the family's blog which has since been edited, the Duggars wrote,

"For readers who have asked about sending gift cards to the Seewalds, Jessa told us

that her favorite stores are Target and Walmart."

According to Ashley's Reality Roundup, the Duggars even listed an address for fans who

wished to send the newlyweds cash and even an Amazon wish list.

But the Duggars are reported to have made up to $40,000 per episode of 19 Kids and Counting

and Counting On.

The original show ran for 15 seasons, with a total of 227 episodes even divided up between

the whole clan, that's a lot of moolah.

Jessa also has her own show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, which, by early 2018 had already

aired nearly 50 episodes.

So it might be obvious why the newlyweds' hint for gifts didn't exactly sit well with

the general public.

G-rated I do's

It was no secret to fans, friends and family of the 19 Kids and Counting clan that Jessa

and Ben were waiting until their wedding day to experience their very first smooch.

So when the officiant presented "Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Michael Seewald" without prompting

the new groom to kiss his bride, the crowd of adoring loved ones were understandably

confused.

"Something did not happen that usually happens at the end of a wedding ceremony"

The officiant explained that it was the couple's desire to share their first kiss together

alone not in front of a crowd, cameras, or their parents, and said,

"The longer I talk, the longer they can smooch in private.

So if I could just have your attention for about three hours.

The first kiss is a long one, you know what I'm sayin'?"

And, for the record, they've been kissing in public ever since.

The Regina George of her family

According to InTouch Weekly, 19 Kids and Counting fans call Jessa the, quote, "fundie Regina

George" "fundie" indicating Christian fundamentalism, and "Regina George" referring to the meanest

girl in school.

Of course, growing up Duggar means your school is also your home.

"Homeschooled.

That's really interesting"

According to a Jinger Duggar fansite, many fans of both 19 Kids and Counting and Counting

On believe Jessa to be bitter, attention-seeking, and smug.

One user wrote:

"Jessa is young, smug, and pregnant."

While another commented,

"I refuse to believe she's that cunning and underhanded to consciously steal the spotlight.

She's an idiot."

"It's not up to you, nobody asked you, this is what we're doing"

Between the sheets

According to the Duggars themselves, the eldest girls receive hundreds of questions each week

from inquiring minds who want a Duggar's hot take on dating, boys, fashion, and even sex.

Sure, the Duggar children may not be allowed to date or even be alone with a person of

the opposite sex, but lack of experience certainly doesn't indicate a lack of opinion, for these

ladies.

"The past couple years we've been asked to speak at a couple different events to young

girls on the tops of experience we've gone through in our lives and just kind of encouraging

them"

Written by Jill, Jana, Jessa, and Jinger Duggar, Growing Up Duggar was published in 2014.

Marketed as a book "all about relationships," the eldest Duggar girls told The Times Free

Press they hoped their words would help young women not only in their romantic relationships,

but in their relationships with both God and their parents, as well.

"Everything was centered around character...kindness, patience and self control"

All in a baby name

When Jessa and Ben announced their first pregnancy in 2015, fans immediately launched into speculating

what the baby's name would be.

"We are so excited to announce that we are expecting a baby"

It's unlikely anyone could have ever guessed the name that was to come: Spurgeon Elliot

Seewald.

The Seewalds' inspiration for their first-born's name came from an influential figure in their

lives 19th century British preacher, Charles Spurgeon.

According to the couple, the preacher...

...Had a big impact on our lives...continued to impact many many people."

When their second son was born in 2017, he was also given a name taken straight from

the history books:

"We have come up with a name for our new baby boy...

his name is Henry Wilberforce Seewald"

His namesake, William Wilberforce, was an English philanthropist, politician, and leader

within the movement which ended the slave trade.

You can't sit with us

It's been said that it "takes a village to raise a child."

Between 19 children, two parents, an adopted nephew, and ten "grand-Duggars" so far, the

Duggars already have a village all their own.

However, when your life's most pivotal experiences unfold in front of millions of people each

week, those fans begin to feel that they're also part of your village.

And they're not afraid to tell you exactly what they think of your parenting from the

safety of their keyboards, of course.

Jessa Duggar is no stranger to this phenomenon, often finding herself the subject of internet

"mommy-shaming" for her particular parenting style.

In a September 2017 Instagram post, many felt Spurgeon was too old to be bottle-fed.

One comment read:

"You've got to watch and pray against speech impediments and crooked teeth."

And another cited the "scientific research" linking tooth decay to prolonged bottle feeding.

But Jessa didn't let the haters get her down.

She sardonically captioned the pic:

"If you are experiencing anxiety over [the photo], please share all your wisdom and perfect

parenting advice in the comments section below."

No TV for a reality TV family

Some people are simply destined for a life lived in front of the camera.

These people include the Kardashians, the Teen Moms, and the Duggar family.

But you might wonder why the Duggars would even want to be on a reality TV show in the

first place, especially since they reportedly have a strict TV policy in their home, only

allowing the Duggar children to watch select DVDs under supervision, of course.

So, why would a family notorious for steering clear of television programming then seek

out opportunities to be on TV?

According to Duggarfamilyblog.com (which is managed by close family friends of the Duggars),

they do it for the fans.

"Mornings now with two kids...I try to sleep until Spurgeon wakes up, and then...our day

starts from there"

Their purpose, starting with their first show 14 Children and Pregnant Again and including

every show they've done since, has always been to show the world how children are a

blessing from God.

"We're just average kids.

We're not the best kids in the world"

Is she pregnant again?

Looks like this apple didn't fall too far from the growing family tree.

Jessa, who has given birth to two children since her 2014 wedding and dodged widespread

pregnancy rumors, does have plans to grow her family.

According to a People exclusive in February 2017, Jessa and her husband plan to welcome

more children into their family; but maybe without the baby bump.

The young mom of two confessed,

"It will be a little while since we just had a baby, but adopting and fostering to adopt

is very much in our hearts."

Between new Duggar babies, newly-wed Duggar couples, and those swirling pregnancy rumors,

it's safe to say that the world will be seeing many more Duggars in the years to come.

It's a Duggar world, and we're all just living in it.

Memories of Arcade | Nostalgia Nerd - Duration: 6:15.

These are the winding steps to the Arcade Club in Bury, Greater Manchester.

It's one of the places I visited last weekend for what I would describe as a weekend of

arcade memories.

There was always something special about the arcade.

The late nights, the smokey air, the multitude of flashing lights all blended perfectly with

a background of sound.

This sound layer was fundamental to the experience.

From one end of the arcade, you could make out the short melodical riff from your favourite

machine at the other.

Looking past the hazy lights, a machine would mirage into view.

A machine you knew, that you could connect with.

You might immediately your way to it, but on the way, distraction could come in the

form of a brand new machine.

A machine featuring cutting edge graphics and sounds.

The expensive play price didn't matter.

This was the future you were contending with.

Whether you ventured into this environment alone, or under the understanding of meeting

friends, it was always a memorable experience, and one which differed each time.

It's one which served me well from my single digit years, all the way until now.

In those younger years, it was all about the wonder, about the thrill.

Gathering together enough pocket money to get an hour's worth of arcade time was money

well spent.

As skills improved, that money might eek out longer than an hour.

Otherwise you could always just hang around and watch others play.

It didn't really matter, the experience was still present.

In my teens, the arcades became a place to have a quick drink with friends, a refuge

of sorts where you could go and socialise in a relaxing context.

Now days, most arcades seem to be filled with ticket producing machines.

Gimmicks, tempations of prizes.

Many people play at home on hardware which can keep up with the arcade hardware, and

so proper gaming machines aren't necessary.

However, there are still gems like this place.

The Arcade Club in Bury, Greater Manchester, where you can pay a single entrance fee and

play until your hearts content.

Companies like Retro Games Party also hire these machines out, and you can see them at

venues such as those operated by ReplayEvents.

After the arcade club, I was invited to Primark's own arcade club of sorts, for a new retro

clothing launch.

I, of course, grabbed my fair share of merchandise, particularly the Commodore 64 and Super Nintendo

Tees, but in between my arm stuffing experience, it was pretty interesting seeing some younger

kids get a chance to play these machines and find them really exciting.

What was even more exciting was speaking to Jon Stoodley, the Pac Man world record holder,

who revealed some fascinating tips on the game.

For example, I had no idea that if you plonk yourself here when the ghosts are in search

mode, you're safe as houses, or that you could slow the ghosts down by waggling toward them

and back - thereby grouping together.

But these were all tricks Jon learnt from the arcades in the 1980s.

A place, where many of us honed our joystick waggling skills.

Of course some of us learnt better than others, but these were still experiences which built

our character and solidified our outlook on life.

If we went to Japan, we'd see that Japan were skill learning these skills.

Take this table flipping game back at the Arcade Club.

Now this is what an arcade is all about.

New experiences, fun and socialising with friends.

Quirky gameplay mechanics like this, present the opportunity to all arrive at something

new, on equal footing, and just enjoy the experience without any serious competitiveness

acting like a resident fun sponge.

Arcades are really all about fun.

Arguably, arcades today still offer that experience.

But it feels more for a quick way to pass the time.

Perhaps an impulse visit as you're perusing a sea-side town.

Rather than a destination you plan to attend, for a late night gaming sessions.

A sessions where you can master Pac man skills, or learn how to flip a table to inflict as

much damage as possible.

I might be wrong.

It might be because my perspective is now older and biased.

But arcades used to instil a strong set of emotions; excitement, wonder, glee, pride,

and all served with a midnight undertone, and I think that's something we're missing

today.

Thankfully we can still visit outlets like this, tucked away in dark alley ways, on the

edges of towns, to mix with like minded cabinet thrill-seekers and claw back a piece of what

made the 80s and 90s so exciting.

Times when the latest games hit the arcades before anywhere else, paving a path of excitement

for the inevitable home ports.

These home ports invariably couldn't keep up with the real thing, but they provided

a taste of the arcade experience.

You were reminded of the arcade as you played them, and with friends, low lighting and a

good port, it almost felt like you were there.

Stick that in your pipe and smoke it.

How British royals plan a wedding - Duration: 5:26.

Like most other wedding in history, all British royal weddings begin with:

the engagement.

But unlike regular weddings, these ones involve an elaborately choreographed event that will

be watched by an audience of millions.

One of the first decisions a couple makes is deciding where to actually do the thing.

If they're really into history and tradition, there's really only one choice:

"From the solemnity of the abbey"

But not this time.

The big change is this wedding between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle,

You don't have all the ambassadors from all the different countries, you don't have heads

of state coming to this wedding.

One reason is because the Chapel Windsor can only take 600 people and therefore there simply

isn't space.

But it's also clearly the desire of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to have a more informal

wedding.

At around two months before the big day, the Lord Chamberlain's office sends out individually

handcrafted invitations.

There's flowers and fittings and the entirety of the city

to prepare.

While the bride and groom head to sleep in different homes —

spectators who want a decent view of the public processions will be sleeping outside.

And just a few hours later,

Some have traveled hundreds or even thousands of miles

and they camped out overnight to get a prime position along that procession route.

The general rule of royal weddings is the the less important you are, the earlier you

arrive, and the farther back you sit.

If you're there representing a charity, if a member of the armed forces, or a celebrity,

you're relegated to the nave of the church, which means you might not even get to see

the actual ceremony.

Close friends of the bride and groom and other guests will head in at least an hour and a

half before.

Most of the time it is: groom up at the front.

The royal procession comes in order In order of precedence, which means the more junior

royals come first and last comes the Queen and her husband Prince Philip.

Lots of fanfare as they come and then the bride turns up.

When the bride arrives, the details of the dress are finally revealed after months of

top secrecy.

I am beside myself. This is such a fashion moment, I can't tell you.

And regardless of who the designer is, she'll be wearing white and will carry a sprig of

myrtle in her bouquet, which symbolizes love and marriage — both of which are trends

started by Queen Victoria.

The bride's tiara is almost always the "something borrowed," likely from one of the family's

collections of jewels.

Since 1923, the ring placed on the bride's finger is always made from Welsh gold —

Elizabeth and Diana's rings even came from the same nugget.

The ceremony's performed by the Archbishop of Canterbury

and only takes about an hour.

Towards the end, the bride, groom, and their two witnesses

go into a private room

to sign the registrar.

At that point the wedding is sanctified in law, as it was sanctified by religious service

a few minutes previously.

Officially married, the bride and groom exit, closely followed by the Procession of the Queen.

If there's any heart that hasn't been run over by her today,

it can kindly surrender now.

There's a good chance you'll hear "Pomp and Circumstance" around this time — although

Americans associate it with high school graduations, it was originally written for the coronation

of King Edward VII.

The bride and groom will likely make their way into the open 1902 State Landau for the

official carriage procession around the city — that's when the crowds who have been

waiting for hours, or possibly days, will get their first look at the royal couple.

This usually concludes with the iconic appearance on the Buckingham Palace balcony —

on which Diana and Charles were the first to kiss.

The kiss is a critical moment in the entire royal wedding ceremony.

You don't just throw it away in the middle of church.

It has to be seen live by hundreds of thousands of peoples.

And just in case anyone had missed it,

Prince William suggests one more kiss.

Because Meghan and Harry's wedding is 20 miles outside of London, their first public

kiss as a married couple will have to happen someplace else.

Afterwards, the wedding party takes official photos,

and ceremony guests gather for the "wedding breakfast,"

complete with a traditional fruit cake.

Though in the past the bride and groom would change clothes and depart for their honeymoon

directly afterwards, current royals have gone for a more modern

approach with a real party.

And they won't be the only ones celebrating.

It is generally seen as an excuse to have a good time and somewhat buttoned up Brits

who don't really have a good time in public that much,

let their hair down and enjoy themselves

in the middle of their street.

At that point it's a pretty normal wedding

reception — although normal ones don't generally include (rumoured) performances

by Elton John and the Spice Girls.

The royal couple will head off for the honeymoon

— which is almost certainly within the British Commonwealth,

while the rest of the country nurses a hangover.

As they leave far behind them,

an exhilarated, exhausted London,

for them, as for any newlyweds,

the adventure is just about to begin.

A Mexican man was sentenced to more than 10 years in federal prison following his conviction

for conspiracy to transport illegal aliens resulting in three deaths.

This sentence was announced U.S. Attorney Ryan K. Patrick, Southern District of Texas.

This case was investigated by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE) Homeland

Security Investigations (HSI) with assistance from U.S. Customs and Border Protection's

(CBP) Border Patrol.

Omar Gonzalez-Herrera, 25, from Nuevo Laredo, Mexico was sentenced by U.S. District Judge

Diana Saldana to 121 months in prison.

Since Gonzalez-Herrera is not a U.S. citizen he is expected to face deportation proceedings

after he completes his prison sentence.According to court documents, on Aug. 2, 2017, law enforcement

found footprints near the Rio Grande River in Laredo which led them to a group of 14

people suspected of illegally being in the country.

They also found a Glock handgun nearby on the ground.

Upon further investigation, authorities learned the aliens had just crossed into the country

by crossing the Rio Grande River.

They identified Gonzalez-Herrera as the foot guide.

Gonzalez-Herrera later admitted he was the foot guide and that he owned the Glock handgun.

He was carrying the gun in his waistband when he led the other aliens into the United States.

He stated he was to be paid $1,500.

While crossing the river, three people died.

All three drowned after being swept away by the river current.

One of the fatalities was a child.

Gonzalez-Herrera will remain in custody pending transfer to a U.S. Bureau of Prisons facility

to be determined in the near future.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Christopher A. dos Santos, Southern District of Texas, is prosecuting

this case.

IT'S HAPPENING The eruption of the Kilauea Volcano on Hawaii's

Big Island is worsening.

It has now created 19 fissures in the eastern rift zone among housing subdivisions near

the island's southeastern corner, one of which is spewing "lava bombs" into the

air; and scientists say an explosion is imminent.

One of the newest fissures has been seen tossing "spatter bombs" of lava at distances of

up to 500 feet, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

At least three dozen structures have already been damaged or destroyed by lava from the

fissures, which began opening up over ten days ago in the Leilani Estates neighborhood

of Puna, according to Forbes.The unpredictable 2,000-degree lava is taking its toll on volcano

evacuees on Hawaii's Big Island.

But there is one predictable outcome: the volcanic situation in Hawaii is going to get

worse.

Evacuees are now awaiting an "imminent" eruption that could rain car-size boulders

and ash onto this tropical paradise.

Nearly 2,000 people have already been barred from their homes for 10 days as the Kilauea

volcano pours lava through a rural neighborhood about 35 miles from Hilo, the island's largest

city.

The eruption is showing no signs of slowing down either, with scientists warning it will

"explode" anytime now.

When the volcano does explode, the damages are expected to radiate only about 12 miles

from the crater, leaving Hilo untouched.

It will set the lush jungle ablaze, more so than it already has, and cover some roads

with ten feet thick solidifying rock.

"A lot of people are scared," said Tiana Dunn, who helped organize a community supply

depot for evacuees in Pahoa.

"People are still a bit sad and in disbelief."

Forrest Lanning, a program manager at the Federal Emergency Management Agency, tweeted

Friday that a summit-pressure explosion at Kilauea was likely in 24 to 48 hours.

Since we've passed that time frame, authorities are pleading for caution, reminding residents

through hourly radio broadcasts that the lava flows are unpredictable and the poisonous

gases invisible.

The new danger comes from the lava level inside the volcano dropping, causing the explosion,

according to USA Today.

If it falls below the water table, water will pour onto the lava, generating steam that

could explode from the summit.

If that happens, boulders as big as refrigerators could be tossed a half-mile, and ash plumes

could soar as high as 20,000 feet, according to the Hawaii Civil Defense.

That eruption could happen anytime, and flight restrictions over the area are already in

place.

With a new swarm of earthquakes taking place over the past 24 hours, the crisis at Kilauea

could continue for some time into the future.

Now we'll look at a table of some simple figures to demonstrate how we calculate the

different revenues.

The first column here is for price, which is the same as average revenue.

As the price falls we see the quantity sold increases.

Total revenue is a simple multiplication of the price and quantity.

This gives us $0 at a price of $20 and total revenue of $40 when the price is $8.

If you have a careful eye you've noticed that total revenue first increased, then decreased

at quantity 5.

This is helpful when calculating marginal revenue.

We look a the change in total revenue and divide by the change in quantity.

In this example the change in quantity is always equal to 1 and the change in total

revenue is different.

We can't calculate marginal revenue at quantity 0, but we see that total revenue rises to

$18 when we sell our first unit.

As we sell progressively more our marginal revenue continues to fall and at quantity

5, becomes negative.

Our firm maximises their revenue by selling at a price of $12 and should not lower their

price any further.

Let's plot average revenue and marginal revenue together so you can see how their

behaviour is related.

Now let's plot the data.

I've shrunken the table in the right hand corner for reference.

I'll draw this like I would draw any demand curve.

For each price, I'll check the associated quantity and place a mark.

If we connect each point we arrive at our demand curve, which is also our average revenue

curve.

This is the case because we assume that the firm consistently sells at the same price

in order to sell a certain amount of a product.

We do the same thing for marginal revenue and plot the points corresponding to the related

quantity.

The main thing different we do here is plot the points in between the quantities.

This is our normal approach for marginal values.

Now we connect all the dots and build our marginal revenue curve.

The unusual thing here is that the marginal revenue curve cuts the X-axis and is negative.

The importance of this will be more relevant as we proceed through this part of the course.

Plotting them together reveals two lines that grow in distance the higher the level of output.

When looking at demand and marginal revenue together, this diagram is most commonly what

you're going to encounter.

The marginal revenue curve is twice as steep as the average revenue curve.

If you're interested in knowing exactly why, I'll put a link in the video description

box for a comprehensive explanation.

For now, just get comfortable with this graph as we'll be coming back to it quite frequently

as we dig deeper into market structures and their corresponding diagrams.

In this diagram we see the total revenue curve for a firm facing a downward sloping demand

curve.

As we saw in our table earlier, total revenue increases towards a maximum then starts to

decrease.

To think about it another way, total revenue increases as marginal revenue is positive

and peaks where marginal revenue is zero.

Beyond this point, the sale of additional units takes away from that maximum and slowly

reduces total revenue.

I also want to illustrate one other thing here.

There's a deeper relationship between these two diagrams that you should be able to understand

after studying the AS videos and getting more comfortable with average and marginal revenue.

The demand curve itself is elastic, unitary elastic and inelastic.

The initial portion, highlighted in yellow, is the elastic portion of the demand curve.

This results in an increase in total revenue as the price falls.

Rising total revenue will continue to the point at which PED is equal to 1.

Here, total revenue is maximised.

Beyond this point, the PED is inelastic, which means any further lowering of price decreases

total revenue.

how they are different.

6 Hacks to Never Waste Produce Again-- How to use fruits and veggies before they go bad - Duration: 15:01.

Hey there! I'm Stephanie from SixFiguresUnder.com If you want to stop wasting

produce and throwing away food and money every month then you're gonna want to

stay tuned. Every month I start out the month with a big grocery shopping trip

where I get pretty much everything that our family of seven is going to need for

the month. I do a couple of smaller trips later in the month

but essentially everything that we will need for the month I get in one big

trip to a couple different stores. I always get the question, "How do you make

your produce last through the month?" and so that's what I'm gonna share with you

today. Let me show you what I mean. Here are a couple of pictures of what our

last couple of months what our grocery haul has looked like the last couple of

month. When I posted some of these images on social media everyone was

asking, "How in the world are you gonna eat all those bananas before they go

bad?" I want to tell you all about the six rules that I follow that keep us

from wasting food. First rule: Eat Fresh First. When I'm planning my

meals, I plan to use what's fresh first. At the beginning of the month I'll be

using fresh tomatoes then at the end of the month when I'm out of fresh tomatoes

I will use tomatoes that I've already canned to make tomato sauce, to make

spaghetti sauce, to make soups. For our dinner sides, for our veggies at the

beginning of the month we'll eat a lot of salad then at the end of the month

when we're out of salad we'll eat frozen vegetables like

broccoli and peas. So eat fresh first. Rule number two: Start with what will go

bad first. Some fruits and vegetables are just created sturdier than others. For

example at the beginning of the month I bought two 16-ounce packages of this

baby spring mix baby lettuce medley, three boxes of the baby spinach

the organic baby spinach, and a green cabbage and a red cabbage. So we're gonna

eat the lettuce first. Lettuce gets wilty faster and it's not not as sturdy and

robust as spinach so we're gonna start with this. We sometimes will mix some

some spinach in there too to bulk up that salad a little bit more but we'll

finish off all of that and then we'll have spinach salads for a week or two

with using those last three containers of spinach and then by the end of the

month those will be all gone and we'll use our cabbages. A green cabbage like

this will be good in the refrigerator for a couple of months and this is my

first time buying a red cabbage but in my experience eating it they're even

more robust than the green ones so they will last a long time. I'm not worried

about them. We'll save them till the end of the month. So eat the things that are

going to go bad first first. Okay the third way that we're going to keep our

fruits and veggies from going bad is to have them be our default snack. It seems

like every time I show one of our grocery haul pictures people always zero

in on the bananas that we get, you know, eight bunches of bananas at the

beginning of the month and they say, "How in the world are you gonna eat that many

bananas?" Now with a family of seven, six of whom are not babies, if six of us eat

a banana every day for a week that's 42 bananas. That's a lot of bananas. When

our kids whine that they're hungry for a snack we send them toward the bananas or

the apples or the oranges or the celery or the carrots and that's what they eat.

And for those of you who are thinking "my kids don't like fruits and vegetables"

let me just assure you that this did not come natural

This came through training. You are looking at the girl who didn't start

liking salad till she was in her 20s and still can't eat raw carrots. If you want

your kids to eat fruits and veggies for snacks keep that on hand and don't get

the other stuff. Eventually they'll get hungry enough that they'll eat it and

you know what? They might start to like it! It worked for us!

The fourth way that we prevent wasting produce is to prep ahead. We do this a

lot for soups and I have a whole video on that I'll link up above, but I cut

up celery and carrots and onions and garlic how I would have them in my soups

and I put them in a ziploc bag put them all together put them in a ziploc bag so

that they're fast and easy to just throw in a pot with some chicken broth or

water and bullion or tomato puree and make a soup but it's so handy to have

them already chopped. That's what takes a long time when you're making real food

from scratch is all of the cutting. Having your ingredients prepped ahead of time

is so convenient. It saves time and money and sanity. I know that I won't eat raw

bell peppers so I diced mine all up really small and use them in omelets and

eggs and and other recipes throughout the month. You can also cut up veggies

for snacks. Cut up celery, cut up carrots and keep them in a in a Tupperware with

water. Fill the Tupperware up with celery and carrot sticks and then

put water on top and that will keep them from getting flimsy and dried out. For

kids or grown-ups who are intimidated by eating whole fruit, cut fruit up put it

in a fruit salad put it in a Tupperware in the fridge that is a lot less

intimidating it a lot easier to eat for some people, like me. As long as there's

something acidic in it like orange for pineapple that'll prevent your apples

from getting brown.

Tip number five: Store it right

Besides bananas, potatoes, onions, some winter squash, we we store as much as

possible in the refrigerator. Now we do have a second refrigerator so that gives

us a lot more space to work with, but keeping things in the refrigerator

really does make a big difference. For example last month I bought four 5-lb

boxes of Cuties, you know the little clementines, and they were a

really great price because they were kind of at the end of their life. We got

rid of all the bad ones and put the rest in the fridge and I would just take one

box out at a time and then set it on the counter and we eat those. Well we got to

the third box and they were out on the counter for a little while and they

started getting soft and I thought, "Oh great! We've still got the fourth box in

there. It must be all terrible!" but I got the fourth one right out of the fridge

and they were perfect! Don't underestimate the power of keeping it in

the fridge! Pretty much everything will stay good longer in the fridge. One thing

that you should know is: Don't leave fruit or veggies in the bag. They'll go

bad faster if you leave them in the bag so what I like to do with tomatoes, for

example, I take them out and I put them in one of the Cutie boxes that we have. I just

line them all up so that they're all one layer, all in one layer, and then I can

stack multiple boxes. These boxes are built to to stack without smashing

what's in there, so I use these for tomatoes. I also keep keep some in my in

my cupboard, in my pantry, with onions so then I can stack those. Bananas-- you don't

want to store in the fridge. You definitely don't want to keep them in

the bag. If they came in a bag definitely take them out of the bag. Hanging is

better for keeping them from getting bruised but we buy way too many to hang them all.

Another tip with bananas, you want to keep them away from other ripening

fruit like apples. They'll cause each other to ripen faster. And tip number six

is to have a plan B. If eating fresh doesn't work out there are a lot of

other things you can do with your produce so that it doesn't go to waste.

We eat as many strawberries as we can while they're fresh but when they start

to go bad we just wash them, hull them (take out the green part) and freeze them.

You can either freeze them whole to use in smoothies or I like to slice them up.

Slice them up, then they're great for sauces, sauce for ice cream or

to go on pancakes. You can use it in smoothies - Strawberries freeze great!

Pineapple. If you saw my last grocery haul you saw that we got eight

pineapples for a great price and when we don't eat them all fresh we freeze them.

Pineapple freeze is great. It's perfect in smoothies or even just as a as a

frozen treat. Spinach- When your spinach starts to get bruised, when the creases

start to show and it's not looking as happy as fresh spinach does, take it and

put it in a freezer bag, a ziplock freezer bag, and put it in the freezer.

It's great to throw in smoothies. Your kids won't even know that there's

spinach in there. It hides in there nicely, doesn't leave a taste or anything.

It's a great way to sneak in some extra nutrients for your kids

Same with kale. If you have kale that's not as fresh as you'd like it or you're

afraid you're not going to be able to use it, just close up the package, put it

in the freezer and then put a handful in your smoothie. Bananas. As you can see

these bananas are past their prime. When they start to get spotty like this it's

great time to use them in baking, in banana bread, banana muffins. It's also a

great time to freeze them. If you don't have time to bake right now you can peel

the bananas, put them in a ziploc bag in the freezer and then make banana

bread when you have time. You can also use bananas and

smoothies and pretend ice cream, you know where you put it in the put frozen

bananas in the blender and add chocolate or peanut butter or different things. You

can google that. You can actually freeze bananas in the peel and just peel it

later when you're ready to use them but it's kind of slimy. It doesn't take

that long to just open up the peels put them in a freezer bag. I kind

of break them up into-- you know just with my hand in the bag-- just break them up

into two or three pieces so that they're easier to manage. You can freeze them

on a tray so that they don't stick together, but I'm too lazy for that I

just put them in and then break them apart when I need them. You can freeze

citrus. If you use lemons and limes and recipes you can cut this into pieces

freeze it. It thaws really quickly and you can squeeze it into whatever you need.

You can also throw lemon wedges into smoothies with the rind and all. If you

don't want the rind of course you can peel them and then freeze them without

the rind. Same goes for oranges or mandarins. You

can peel them, break them into pieces, freeze them, and then put those into

smoothies. Apples freeze too. When my kids don't eat all of their apple slices from

their lunch and they bring you them home and they're brown and sad-looking, I just

stick them in the sandwich bag that they're in-- leave them in the sandwich bag

that they're in-- stick them in the freezer and then the next time you have

a smoothie I just throw those in and it turns out perfect. Nobody knows that they

were ugly-looking at. Can you tell we love smoothies around here? Even tomatoes

can be frozen if you're going to use them in a puree or a sauce. I have a

whole blog post that tells all about how I

make my tomato puree and freeze the tomatoes. That way when I get tomatoes

out of my garden I don't have to keep canning and keep making the puree or the

sauce every time I bring in a batch of tomatoes. I can bring it back to tomatoes

wash them, hull them, stick them in the freezer and then when I have the whole

season's worth of tomatoes-- or you know halfway through or whenever-- a whole big

batch, I can do a big batch of canning tomatoes at once and not have to keep

getting the equipment out and go through all that every time. The key here is that

in most cases it's better to take action on Plan B before the produce goes bad so

as you're looking in the fridge every day just kind of take note of how your

produce is doing and when it looks like it's about to go bad that's

when you need to take action with your Plan B whether that's freezing,

eating, putting in a soup, putting in a smoothie, baking, whatever you're going to

do with that produce, do it then before it goes bad, so just be be vigilant.

Earlier this year when asparagus was on sale I bought a lot of it and we ate as

much as we could while it was still fresh and once it started to to not look

as fresh anymore I cut it up. I don't know if you can see this. I cut it up in

a bunch of small chunks and just froze that. I didn't blanch it or anything just

froze it and then I just throw this into soups. Okay now sometimes life is gonna

happen. You're gonna get busy you're not gonna notice that things are gonna

go bad and they'll go bad. And that's okay. If you bought something but didn't

have a plan for it, just do better and next time make a plan of what you're

going to use that for, put it on your menu. Now I want to hear from you what

HUGE PRIMARK TRY-ON HAUL 2018 | Jasmin Kiefer - Duration: 8:30.

hey guys and what collect to my channel today's video is another haul yes it's

another haul I know I have a problem and someone please stop me but for today's

video it's a Primark haul so into Primack

today I usually don't go into primal anymore because you only have a store

and I'm an online shopper so yeah I wasn't a city today so I decided to stop

in there and like see what they have I don't usually buy like close the

Primax it's not gonna be like a clothing haul it's more of like accessories and

other things that I got there some home wear shoes so yeah I got one t-shirt I

think in the weirdest color you will see in a second ok but without any further

ado let's get into the actual primer call at this little bag in the back bag

so I think I'm gonna start with the things that are in here so anyway the

first thing that I got is from the Primark makeup line this is the PS nudes

body shimmer dust I got so many like glowy shimmery products that I don't

need actually it's a problem but just reminds me a lot of the k'kaw products

it also had like a contour set that looked exactly the same I didn't get

this but everything shimmery I'm always up for and it was like 5 euros so I'm

excited to try this out next up I have another shimmery product this is shimmer

oil with Africa oil instant radiance for all skin types so let's shake it a

little bit cuz it separated a little it's kind of a pink shimmer glitter I

want to say that was four euros obviously so it looks like a dry oil

this reminded me a lot of the Tom Ford oils and stuff and

as you know with like the Fendi PD video I did I'm really into like body oils

body shimmers so I'm excited to try this out and also

the color is different than their fancy ones like very pink

so yeah got this one too and I got a strobe cream this is DPS stroke face and

body highlighting cream in moisture pink this was a 4 euros also it looks like

this this reminds me a little bit of the neck stroke creams so yeah they have a

lot of things I've heard good things about prymatt makeup so I want you try

that out and I got a 10 eraser funny story I've never tanned in my life like

I don't naturally tan but I do want to self tan and I do have a self tanner but

I'm always afraid that it looks terrible and I can't go out anymore so I've had

that for a little while now and I never used it because I was so scared so I was

about to order one from Bondi sands and then i saw this today at Primark and I

was like yeah I'm gonna get this it's only four euros and if the tan looks

terrible I can like get it off easier and I don't really have to struggle with

it so I got this and I don't know when I'm gonna tan but just in case I got

this then I got some earrings from crime ugh those were only two you rose you

look like this you're like little hoops with some pearls everything that I love

if you've seen any of my old UW's so yeah and I got some homework things and

the first one is this candle I gotta say I'm not usually like a candle person

like you see youtubers buy so many candles all the time I already like

candles like I don't burn them I don't like to send up them but this one I only

got because of the packaging I'm a sucker for good packaging so this

was really pretty and this is first of all peach floor and

scented candle this was six heroes and wait let me get this out here somehow so

that's what the candle looks like it has that cactus

on top and that's like the lid and rose gold kind of color I just love it and I

thought that was so cute I don't think I'm ever gonna burn this candle I'm just

gonna put it on display and admire it for the rest of my life

next up is something that I don't know why the heck I bought this I just

thought it would look cute and it's a mug it's this one right here so this is

chip bubbles the chip bubbles mug and this is the mug from Beauty and the

Beast I think this was so fun like I almost cube mugs I drink coffee every

day oh I got this and this was six euros so I'm going into the big back now and

first thing I'm grabbing here is socks I get my socks on provocation II and I've

got different ones this time this these are the five pairs sport hoodies so

they're like better to wear it and like sneakers and stuff I got the white ones

these were thought what these were for 50 for like five pairs so I think that's

a reasonable price next up I got this little bag right here this is what just

reminded me a lot of the Chloe back I don't really know the actual name but

definitely looks like one of those designer bags and this was only 14 euros

it looks so pretty I love it I love to go to Andy's I'm looking at have like a

longer strap too and this is like the faux kind of leather it's like the

velour leather and they also like the regular

fake leather so yeah I really like this one now on to the top that I mentioned

for like a shirt that I mentioned earlier if you know me at all you know

that I'm not a big fan of pink like plain pink clothing doesn't matter what

it is but I got a pink shirt today and I don't know why cuz I don't usually wear

pink and it's this mall right here it's just kind of plain pink and then it says

la in the corner up here and it's like such a soft material I really love it

this was only six euros next up I have some shoes pair of slides and this is

something I know I'm not everyone's gonna love them most people probably

gonna hate them and it's those fluffy slides I just

thought that would look or Deb would be like something to walk around the house

in so yeah that's why I mainly got these I don't think I'm ever gonna wear them

out but things work these were eight heroes so yeah fluffy sandal slides

laughs and final thing that I got from Primark is a letter board this is a

copper one and only eight heroes I saw it and I was like this would be so cute

in like a background um I'm still like trying to figure out where are wonderful

my videos maybe change up in background again do you like hauls on my closet and

other videos elsewhere and I figured this would look really cute in the

background so I'm really excited though to try out like the makeup stuff and see

how the shimmery body oil and like the strobe cream and all that works so yeah

and now I have actually no excuse anymore and she's self tan because

that an eraser but we'll see I'll keep you posted and thank you so much for

This has been very a interesting project, overall.

from University City...

...to the Municipal Theater.

Fabio Peron is the new generation

of Brazilian Music.

He came from Choro and from there

evolved to all kinds of music.

So he is an boundless lad…

"Lad"… he is gonna turn 28 years old already…

I entered Santa Marcelina's School of Music in 2009.

There was this teacher there, Edu Ribeiro,

and I remember he telling me

"I am going to play at UMES Theatre

with Isaias Bueno de Almeida"

- a mandolin player

of whom I'm the #1 fan,

by the way it is because of him that I play the mandolin.

And Edu was also going to play with some Lea Freire…

Man, I went to that show and when I got out

I couldn't believe what I'd heard.

Something like…

I spent weeks thinking about that sound

I'd never heard anything like that.

And it made me want to know more about it,

so I started tracking Lea Freire's work,

listening to some of her CDs,

and going to all the shows

of that Vento em Madeira group.

And it is very funny how

life goes round, isn't it ?

A few years later

I was playing with Arismar do Espirito Santo

and he invited me to record an album

and he was thinking about who would be

the third element…

and he suggested Lea Freire.

And it was love at the first note, with Lea.

We made a CD together

with Arismar do Espirito Santo:

acoustic guitar, mandolin and flute.

We tune up instantly,

we're always at the same moment in time.

Life is very easy

with Fabio Peron.

And I was so happy

when she invited me

to play these concerts with them,

because the album Cartas Brasileiras

- from where most of the concert's repertoire comes -

is one of the CDs I've listened to the most in my life.

I used to listen to it every day, the whole day long.

So I already knew very well this repertoire

- although Felipe (Senna)

has enhanced the arrangements here.

There is plenty of mandolin material now

- just the way I like -

and he's just amazing conducting, isn't he?
