Never Let Go of Your Partner If They Does Any of These Things

Ideal partners do exist.

Here is some things that they will do, and you should make sure they are still under

your radar.

Otherwise, you will regret your decision because leaving a nice partner go away.

1.

Being able to calm you down

People panic in various situations, and there is no way they can calm themselves unless

they have good self-control.

If you suddenly freaks out for some reason, and your partner can calm you down, it is

absolutely the best thing that they can do.

They can make you feel safe, and that is the important point above all.

2.

Sharing your sense of humor

There are some type of humors, and not all people can accept the jokes you throw.

Depending on the personality, people usually prefer throwing dark humor instead of the

dry one instead.

If you can find a person who laughs together sincerely, she or he is definitely the best

person to live with.

3.

Similar interest and hobbies

Similar does not have to be completely same.

Similar also means relatable.

If your partner turns out to have similar or related hobby, it makes everything easier.

You can do your things together, and it will be absolutely fun.

4.

Respecting each other

You should notice that your partner sometimes compliments you.

However, do you recognize whether it is truthful or sarcastic?

If you see respect in each compliment and critics they throw, it means she or he is

the best partner that will bring positivity into your life.

5.

They have your back

A good partner will always be there when you need help.

If you have someone ready for you in most difficult situation, don't let him or her

go.

That person is too valuable to be ignored, and let him or her into your life but make

sure that person is not narcissist.

All in all, that's the "If Your Partner Does Any of These Things, You Should Never Let

Them Go".

Ellen Takes Andy's Phone Away - Duration: 2:11.

So I want to start off today by talking

about the walk of shame.

I am sorry, I meant the Walk of Fame.

That's what I meant.

I get nervous, just for a second, I'm so sorry.

Last week, I presented N'Sync with their star

on the Walk of Fame.

And I had a great time.

I'm not-- look at Andy's face, he's hilarious.

Andy, you're looking at me like you haven't heard this before.

I'm not.

I know.

So I'm saying something you hadn't heard before.

So I gave N'Sync this star on the Walk of Fame.

And my producer, Andy wanted to be there.

And so, here's what he was doing the whole time.

He doesn't even look up.

And now it's time for our first speaker,

she really doesn't need an introduction.

See him in the background, I get up to talk.

But I will say she has a star on the Walk of Fame.

Please welcome, the one and only Ellen DeGeneres.

Look there he is.

Still down.

Still looking down.

He doesn't look up for one minute.

All right, so.

What was going on Andy that you didn't even look up?

You went with me, and you wanted to sit with me.

Then I'm introduced and I stand up there.

What were you doing?

I was making sure things were running

smoothly here at the office.

I see.

Do you think you're a good example for your sons

when you lie like that?

[LAUGHTER]

Were you just checking Twitter?

Is that what you were doing?

There's a possibility.

Yeah.

This is becoming a problem.

You're on your phone all the time.

You're always on your phone.

And I don't want you to be distracted during the show,

so I'm taking it away from you.

No.

Yeah.

Security?

Where's security?

We're going to lock it up.

Yep.

It's going in a cage, and it's going to be there

until the end of the show.

You're going to stay there the entire time, security?

OK That's a cell cell, is what that's called.

All right, now pay attention to the show, Andy.

You Won't Believe What This Audience Member Wrote to Ellen About - Duration: 1:48.

Right now, I want to read a letter that I got from a fan.

And it says, Dear Ellen, I've written you every week

for the past two years.

I watch you every day with my kids.

And I can't tell you how much you mean to me.

You make us laugh, and cry, and your message is always

so positive and inspiring.

I love you almost as much as I love Nut Thins.

You see, just like your show, Blue Diamond Nut Thins

are incredibly satisfying.

Unlike your show, Nut Thins make a great crispy snack.

They are so delicious.

In fact, this entire letter is actually

a live commercial for Nut--

you can't--

Ma'am, you can't do that.

When I do a live commercial, I have to announce it.

And then there's the music that plays

and then I do the live commercial.

I can't do it with--

what are you doing?

Ma'am?

[MUSIC PLAYING]

All right.

[LAUGHTER]

Nut Thins have a light, nutty taste

and can be found in the specialty cracker aisle.

And Ellen, because I love Nut Thins and you so much,

I'd like Shutterfly to give me a check for $20,000--

I'm not going to give you a check for $20,000.

You thought I was going to give you a check for $20,000?

Listen, Nut Thins are delicious.

And because they're delicious and they want you to try them,

they want you to have a $150 Visa gift card.

Now you can try them.

We'll be back.

The Oyster King of Thailand - UNCLE TOM'S HUGE OYSTERS and Seafood at Floating Restaurant! - Duration: 21:00.

- Good morning, I hope you're having an amazing day.

It's Mark Wiens, I'm in Chanthaburi, Thailand.

And Chanthaburi is very well known for their seafood.

And so today is gonna be an amazing day.

We're about to meet up, well actually,

we're about to get picked up on a boat

by Lum Tom, which means Uncle Tom.

Uncle Tom is known for his oysters,

he's known for his seafood,

he's gonna pick us up in a boat,

we're gonna go to his oyster farm.

I'm not exactly sure where he's gonna take us,

but then he's gonna take us to eat seafood

at his restaurant, it looks like it,

it's gonna be a thrilling day, and I'm gonna share it all

with you in this video right now.

If you're just joining me on this series,

this is day two of our eastern provinces of Thailand

food and travel trip.

From Chanthaburi town we drove out to the pier.

And this pier is called Pah-chah-lay-up.

It's about a fifteen minute drive

and Uncle Tom should be pulling up in his boat very soon.

- (speaking in foreign language)

- [Mark] Honey, can you just set it in there?

- (speaking in foreign language)

- We met up with Uncle Tom, Lum Tom.

(speaking in foreign language)

- (speaking in foreign language)

- He was here right on time to pick us up, and we are off.

(motor rattling)

(lighthearted synthesizer music)

Oh yeah, this is just fantastic, the ocean breeze.

This area has a lot of mangrove forests

and a lot of brackish water as well.

So I think we're gonna cruise around,

but the highlight is gonna be

when we go to Uncle Tom's oyster farm.

And he's gonna harvest fresh oysters for us.

He just said in those nets,

they are farming macau which are grouper.

(lighthearted synthesizer)

This area next to the mangroves and by the coast

is all brackish water, so it's a mix of salt water

plus fresh water.

And by the way, for this entire trip,

we're gonna be taking some boats,

so we got Micah his very own life jacket,

which I'm pretty excited about.

And he is, too.

(lighthearted synthesizer)

(motor put-putting)

- (speaking in foreign language)

- That was about a 30 minute boat ride

and we have arrived to his oyster plot.

Oh, I am excited, this is very cool.

But he was telling us that some of the oysters,

they take one and a half years or even three years

to grow to their full size.

- (speaking in foreign language)

- [Woman] (speaking in foreign language)

- (speaking in foreign language)

- [Woman] (speaking in foreign language)

- (speaking in foreign language)

Wow, yeah, you could do some curls with this,

that's for sure.

- [Tom] Okay, helping Mark up.

(speaking in foreign language)

- This is so cool, and the way that they grow the oysters

is that they attach them to the strings,

and so they have a string of oysters

so that they just hang down into the ocean.

Then they just grow along that string

so that you have them already collected

when you need to eat them.

- [Tom] (speaking in foreign language)

- That was very cool to see, we are now off

to the restaurant, or his place where he takes you

to eat seafood.

(lighthearted synthesizer music)

(motor put-putting)

- [Tom] (speaking in foreign language)

- Oh, man, this is just absolutely awesome,

an entire floating bamboo hut, a seafood palace,

in the middle of the water.

The peace and the quietness, this is awesome.

Oh, they have a homestay here, too,

so you can actually stay here in this room

on the floating bamboo dock.

Uncle Tom is absolutely awesome.

He is preparing a bed now for Micah to take a little nap.

You can just smell the aromas of seafood

wafting through the seafood-y air.

- [Woman] (speaking in foreign language)

(oil crackling)

- Shh, Micah passed out.

(lighthearted synthesizer music)

- [Tom] (speaking in foreign language)

- [Mark] First time I ever saw you take photos of the food.

- (speaking in foreign language)

- [Woman] (speaking in foreign language)

- We are sitting down for this borderline

ridiculous quantity of seafood.

This is a gigantic seafood feast.

And everything is cooked right here on the dock,

everything is fresh, the oysters are what is like

shining though, that's like the sun is shining at me.

Oh there's just nothing like these oysters,

they are massive, you can just see them kind of melting

and kind of like slurping around.

Oh he just freshly opened these, I gotta try one as is,

immediately, I'm going for that center guy.

Yeah, look at the size of that,

and I'm gonna, I just have to eat this one straight.

But after this one, I will show you

how to eat it Thai style.

This is one of those oysters where

you're not really sure how to go in.

If you go in from the top and kind of slurp it

or if you just kind of pour it into your mouth.

Ah, let me see, oh yeah, it's already loosened, too.

Okay, I'll go for the pouring method in that case.

(laughing)

Oh that's just as unbelievably fresh as it can get.

It has zero like kind of foul off kind of smell

or taste to it, it's so pure.

It's like jelly, it melts in your mouth.

These particular oysters are not that salty, either.

Maybe that's because they're in the brackish water,

but you don't have like that overwhelming salty gushiness.

They taste fresh and clean and unbelievable.

For my next oyster, we gotta do it Thai style.

So what you do first is you apply some nam prik pao,

which is the roasted chili jam.

I'm gonna add some of that right onto the top there.

Next up for hong jiao, these are fried crispy shallots.

There might be a little bit of garlic in here, too.

I'm going all in on that.

Those look kind of like cornflakes,

but I can assure you, they are shallots.

Next, for a chili, and a little piece of garlic,

on top there, a clove of garlic, a chili,

and next you add some nam jim seafood,

which is the seafood sauce.

There's lime in here, there's chilies and garlic in here,

already, too.

A little bit of this, maybe a little more for good measure.

Looks ridiculous.

Okay, I think I got all the components.

Except there is something that

you have to chase it with as well.

That is just absolutely insanely beautiful

with all those toppings.

Maybe I should spoon this guy.

Oh, look at the size, oh this one goes deep.

Oh, look at that, okay, maybe I should spoon this.

Spoon it out and then eat it from the spoon.

You can barely fit that into the spoon.

Oh, and I lost the garlic, okay, I'd better grab that,

that garlic, let me put that garlic right back on top.

Wow, this is a giant oyster one-biter

and I don't really wanna eat the whole thing in one bite,

well, it will be kind of fun, but I don't,

I just don't know of another way to, sorry for,

okay what I wanna say is just sorry

for the giant bite I'm about to take.

But I think that really is the best way

to eat this oyster, I mean if you bite into it,

you risk loosing all the toppings or, okay.

(lighthearted synthesizer music)

And then the final step, you chase it with gatin.

And that completes the Thai oyster one-biter.

Mmm, they have it totally figured out.

You got the oyster, that slimy factor.

You've got the nam prik pao, the roasted chili jam,

which is a little bit sweet and a little bit spicy.

You've got the sour spicy seafood sauce,

you've got the garlic and chili,

you've got the crispy shallots,

and then finally the herb to kind of

cleanse the mouth at the end.

Moving on from fresh oysters,

let's try the oyster omelet,

and she fried this in quite a lot of oil.

There's only two eggs but then she added in

a bunch of oysters, and then just fried it

to golden crispy Thai omelet perfection.

(laughing)

That was just like melt in your mouth oysters,

wrapped up in a crunchy egg fluffiness.

You cannot go wrong, that's delicious.

Yeah, that would be just absolutely sensational with rice.

I have to, so let me grab a little bit more.

Oh, the meaty part from the center

where all the oysters have congregated.

They do have some sauce prik which is like a

chili ketchup-y type of sauce, but I usually

like to go for the nam jim seafood on this as well,

which is the seafood sauce with garlic and chilies.

Next we have pla kaphong tod gratiem

which is a fried barramundi fish.

You can see the garlic on top,

I think I'll just go right in.

I gotta add on a little bit of

the nam jim seafood to this bite.

Their nam jim seafood is excellent here.

Nice and sour, you can taste the garlic,

just a hint of a balance of sweetness.

One of the local Chanthaburi dishes is called sen chan,

which is a fried noodle dish.

This one is stir fried with crab.

You can see the red sauce on it.

There are some chives in there as well.

And pieces of crab, and then it's stir fried.

This is to accompany the seafood feast.

It's a little bit on the sweet side.

But it has, I'm not sure, maybe it's tamarind in there?

It has kind of a, a little bit of a fruity flavor.

The noodles themselves have a really good texture.

They're kind of gummy, not like mushy at all.

You can feel each individual noodle.

And then of course, you can pull out bits of crab.

And this is a, oh yeah, because of the way it's cooked

and because it's young crab, you can eat the shell.

Next up we've got pla plaa, and this is

a Chanthaburi specialty again.

There's fish on the bottom of it,

but then on the top it's like a mix of salad,

there's cabbage, I can see some lemongrass,

some shallots, some mint leaves.

And it's served with a peanut sauce.

And then I think below there, I think below

all that mound of vegetables is some fish, minced up fish.

It has a little bit of a ginger taste to it.

And the lemongrass, the fish is a little bit sour as well.

You've got those really refreshing herbs

and then the peanut sauce, of course it's like

full on peanut, plus, it's sweet and kind of tangy.

But sweet again, in a tamarind kind of sweetness,

like a fruity sweetness.

Next up for the tom yum goong, and lots of shrimp in here.

Lots of mushrooms, this is what she was making

as we came to the dock.

Let's just start with the broth first.

Oh, it's so soothing.

It's perfectly sour, it has the creamy shrimpiness to it.

Yeah, it's really good.

(speaking in foreign language)

(lighthearted synthesizer)

Few more things still to eat.

This is just a never ended, all you can eat

seafood buffet, okay it is time for the plate of crabs.

These are not huge crabs but they are blue swimmer crabs.

I'll go for this guy right here,

and let's see about the apron, male or female?

I guess this is a male, cause you can take that apron,

you can pull off the head like that.

Break this guy in half, and you can also pull

off the claws, kind of fully dissect it like that.

Pull this guy out, kind of peel that section.

Okay, I'm not the greatest at this,

Ying is always better than I am.

But right under here, we should have a good nugget.

Oh yes, there it is, there it is.

Gotta go in for a little bit of the seafood sauce

on this as well.

(slurping)

Crab, one of the greatest things ever.

And with that sauce, it's superb.

That crab is not big, there's not a lot of meat,

but you work for it, and it is so good.

And on that note, oh there's still some squid to try.

But I'm gonna take a little lean back for a minute.

Micah had a nice nap and he's now joined us.

I think this is the final seafood dish we have.

A plate of squid, just slightly boiled.

Oh yeah, again, just ultra fresh, it's chewy

in all the perfect kind of ways, just a little bit chewy,

but not overly chewy.

Just a clean taste.

That's fantastic squid.

(lighthearted synthesizer)

Nam sam brong, taking a little break

to drink some nam sam brong.

- Sab rong - What is it?

- Sam long. - Sam long.

- Okay, so nam sam long, and Uncle Tom was telling us

that this is a local drink that they get from the jungle,

made from some herb or something from the jungle,

from right here, that they get from the village.

Let's try this.

I've never heard of it before in other parts of Thailand.

Oh wow, it's kind of like jelly-ish.

It doesn't look like a straight liquid,

it's kind of like, kind of jelly-y.

Oh wow.

Yeah, it is kind jelly-y.

It kind has kind of like, kind of like the chia seed

jelly slimy feel to it.

That's a drink you gotta chew a little bit.

This is just ultimate right now.

This is gorgeous, the scenery,

this is indeed once of the most picturesque,

most memorable seafood meals I've ever had.

Oh, look at that nugget of crab that just slid out.

Oh, this needs to be dipped, and I'm at

the very end of that seafood sauce.

It was so food, I had to eat all the sauce.

But there's still a little bit left for the scooping,

for this final nugget.

I'm gonna mop that up, kinda let it soak

into that piece of crab.

(lighthearted synthesizer)

Oh, that was absolutely phenomenal.

That was an all-you-can-eat seafood feast

on a floating bamboo dock.

That was, yeah, that was phenomenal.

There's nothing better than just laying

in a horizontal position after that much seafood.

Oh, the sea breeze, and now we're just kind of

hanging out with Uncle Tom.

Uncle Tom and his wife are,

they're amazing people.

They're so friendly, they're so nice.

They will take care of you.

(speaking in foreign language)

- (speaking in foreign language)

(motor revving)

- Wow, that was gorgeous and just absolutely fantastic

while it lasted, from the seafood,

to the relaxation, to the location,

to Uncle Tom and his wife who treat you like family.

We're on our way back to the mainland.

(water splashing) (motor put-putting)

(speaking in foreign language)

- (speaking in foreign language)

(baby babbling)

(lighthearted synthesizer)

- No doubt, it was one of the most memorable

seafood meals of my life.

First of all, I have to give it up,

and I have to say a huge thank you to

Uncle Tom and his wife, Lum Tom.

Oh man, they hooked it up.

They're such nice, they're such genuine people.

When you eat there, they make you feel

like they're part of your family.

On top of that, you just don't get any fresher seafood

than that, and you don't get a better atmosphere location,

floating on a houseboat, in the water.

The entire experience was unbelievable,

I'll never forget it.

So that's it for this video.

Ellen Attempts to Get Rob Lowe to Say the Mystery Word - Duration: 3:01.

You're going to want to pay attention because today we're

playing mystery word.

[SPOOKY MUSIC PLAYING]

It abruptly ended, the mystery word.

Here's how it works.

Rob Lowe is backstage right now.

He can't hear anything I'm saying.

He is listening to that new Celine Dion song,

and he is really getting into it right now.

So I am going to try to get him during the time he's out here

to say Swiss cheese.

And he says Swiss cheese while he's out here,

everyone in the audience is going to go home

with a wonderful prize.

[CHEERING]

[APPLAUSE]

If I can't get him to say it, you

will have to give me a prize.

You look like a spring chicken, and you're

fit like a spring chicken.

But you're no spring chicken.

I am no, it's true.

But you defy all odds with the way you look

and how physical you are.

And it's really, right?

[APPLAUSE]

Now because you're so fit, this leads me

into questioning you and your lifestyle.

Tell me what kind of diet you're on.

Like, what do you like to eat?

Do you like dairy?

Yeah, but I-- I do dairy.

I do dairy.

Do you enjoy a cheese?

I enjoy a good cheese.

What's your favorite cheese?

I like a, Jesus, I should know these things.

I'm very unsophisticated.

I only know what I like.

What should I like?

No, I'm not going to tell you what you like.

You're not going to tell me what to like?

No, you have to tell me what you like.

I like something that is tasty.

It looked like you were going to say Gouda.

Did you like a Gouda?

Because it's very Gouda.

[LAUGHING]

Do you know what a Gouda is?

I don't know!

Gouda is like a white cheese.

OK.

I'll take it.

But would you prefer the cheddar?

That's the yellow.

Yeah, I want the white, because it

has a little more zhoosh to it.

What other kind of white cheese do you enjoy?

Um, so this is where I never thought the interview would go.

[LAUGHING]

I get bored, and I like to veer off in different directions.

I know you do!

I'm going with Swiss.

Is that boring?

[LOUD CHEERING]

Wow!

Is that what it is?

[BUZZER NOISE]

She did it!

She made me say it.

Yes.

They're that excited, and they don't even know what they get.

You get a mug!

First of all, I should say that Code Black

airs Wednesdays at 10:00 on CBS, as you told everybody.

And then I should say that I'm going to see all of you

back, because you're coming to one of my 12 days giveaways.

My Houzz: Olivia Munn's Surprise Renovation for Her Mom - Duration: 22:20.

Home, to me, is a lot of noise, and people, and food,

and laughter, somewhere you can shut all the blinds

and feel really cozy, somewhere that you can

celebrate life with your friends.

I'm Oliva Munn, and this is My Houzz.

My family is definitely not the perfect,

magazine cover family at all.

We're very blunt and sarcastic.

We tell each other what we think, we joke around a lot.

At my house, there's a lot of screaming going on

and my mom just goes, "we're not screaming,

it's how we talk."

I mean, that's my mom.

She's gonna be her no matter where you are,

and I think that's what's made us so close.

My mom was born and raised in Vietnam,

and in 1975, in the final days of Saigon,

my family was lucky enough to escape

and make their way to Oklahoma.

My mother and all of her uniqueness has

definitely shaped who I am today.

I think the thing that I learned the most from my mother

is how to be strong, how to stand up for myself,

and how to stand up for the people that I love.

So looking back now, I just think, thank god

my mom always instilled this feeling of self worth in me

and that I knew that my dreams mattered,

even if they were close to impossible.

Without that, I never would've tried it in Hollywood.

The things that my mom and I have

really bonded over is cooking.

She'll say, oh, it's this much salt,

and this much flour, and this much pepper,

and you're like, what is this much?

So I literally have sheets of paper with her recipes on it

with a picture of a hand going like, this much.

It'd be like, this much pepper, and I have to remember

what that looked like in her tiny Asian hands.

Those memories of learning how to cook with her

and how obnoxious she was at her measurements,

those are the memories that I really love with my mother.

My mom thinks that cooking is the most important thing,

has everybody at the house for every holiday.

There's just always this open-door policy for dinner.

I wanna give this renovation to my mother

because if there's anybody in the world

that I think deserves it, it's her.

She lives in this house that means so much to all of us.

That's basically where we kinda grew up.

The dining room, TV room, and kitchen, it's all one room.

She's making it work, but it's just not optimal.

She's really short, so she can't reach the high shelves,

and there's not enough storage for all

the pots and pans that she needs.

Right now they have this great island,

but no one really sits at it, and then the dining room area,

it's small and they have to eat in shifts.

It's next to this fireplace that they never use.

Things just kind of end up there and it

just becomes a catch-all.

So I wanna try to turn this whole space into a place

where everybody can come and hang out.

I live in LA, but my mother lives in Oklahoma City,

so I went onto Houzz and I looked for designers

and contractors in the Oklahoma City area.

I found Travis' profile and he had a lot of really great

reviews, and I loved his whole portfolio,

so I just gave him a call.

- So good to meet you-- - I know, so nice to--

- --in real life! - --meet you in person!

I know, we've been on the phone so much.

This is so exciting!

- It's exciting for me too!

So tell me a little bit about what your vision is

for what you'd like to do for your mom.

- My mom's ridiculously short.

She is a hobbit.

A hobbit that cooks.

She's a hobbit that loves to cook.

So functionality is super important because I'm really

wanting to just give her somewhere that she can just

cook as much as she loves to cook

and make it really easy for her.

- I think we could make it work for her.

- Okay, awesome.

- Tell me a little bit about your mom's style.

- As long as it's comfortable and working,

she's not very particular, and that's what I think

would be so great is to do things that help keep things

looking organized and clean, but that

are still really easy to access.

So even though there's three living spaces

in this one room, it is pretty small.

Is there anything that we can do just

make it feel more open?

- So one of the things that we can do

is to raise the ceiling.

I think that that eight foot ceiling height

is making that whole space feel a little bit closed in.

- It's eight feet?

- It's eight foot.

Maybe utilizing some of the attic space

that is right above there.

- We have an attic?

- Well, not for long.

By giving it volume and allowing your eye to look up,

we can really make the space feel huge.

So on our ideabook, I've actually

selected different looks.

- Ideabooks are great, because as I'm on Houzz

and I'm finding different things that inspire me

or elements that I like, I can add it to the ideabook,

and Travis is doing the same thing.

- [Travis] These are similar spaces to yours

and they have cathedral ceilings.

What would you say about something like that?

- I think it just might be a little too modern.

- [Travis] Yeah, I understand.

This is a little bit of a different direction.

It's a little bit more rustic.

We've got that warmth and visual element

to bring your eye up. - Right.

- [Travis] But it also keeps it clean and open.

- That, I love.

- Okay.

So one thing that I noticed, she is

in major need of more storage.

- She needs massive containers to hold rice and pasta.

- We can make sure that she's prepared

to cook for the whole neighborhood.

- Awesome.

There is this TV room that's right next to the kitchen

and there's this one kind of dead space.

I just don't know what you think that may be.

- I think it would be a really good opportunity

to have a walk-in pantry.

- That's a great idea, because there's the really

organized, clean Asians, and then there's

the messy ones and loud ones.

That's my family.

So that would just help keep things

organized and clean, right?

- Yeah.

I noticed how many appliances there are on the countertops,

and it would be great if we could get those out of sight,

but still really usable, so this is one idea.

- Oh, that's a really cool thing.

So they could be plugged in there?

- Yes, so they can-- - Well, that's nice.

- [Travis] --stay back there.

They're plugged in, they're easily accessible.

Whenever this is down, they're out of sight.

- Yay!

I love this.

Right now we have this big rice cooker

that sits on top of the counter, so if we can

find a way of doing the rice cooker built in...

Is that easy to do?

- It's a little bit of a challenge,

but we're totally up for a challenge.

I love that idea and I think that could be really exciting.

- Okay, yay.

I love that, she's gonna love that.

- So one of the things that I wanted to show you

was some incredible different light features

that I think could make a statement above the island.

- I love that, and I love that they

would be at different heights.

- [Travis] Yeah.

- So before we move on, I should tell you

that there is a dining room table that is

a family heirloom of my stepfather's

and that's really important to keep in the house.

- Okay.

So normally we would try to embellish

the fireplace and make that a focal point.

Based on the location that it is in the space,

and unfortunately, because it's been capped off,

it doesn't really work, it's not functional.

I think that it's just visual weight that we don't need.

I think we should take it and reclaim that space

for something interesting and different

and a focal point for the dining room.

- I mean, that's a great idea because nobody's sitting

with the fire behind their back, even if it worked,

which it doesn't work.

- Yeah.

One of the things that I noticed whenever I visited

the house, there are a lot of really cool accessories,

ancient artifacts, whatever you wanna call them,

but I think it would be really neat to incorporate

a bookcase, but that way they don't

end up just scattered everywhere.

- How are you going to stop my mom from cluttering it up?

Are you gonna be coming over?

- Okay, I'm gonna have to do inspections.

- Are you gonna take us on for life?

- I wanna go over some potential seating options

for the living room.

I love this for the space, because it does have those

clean lines, but it's comfortable.

I think it would stand up really well

to a lot of family members.

- I love it, and in gray, too.

- So what do you think about a piece like that?

- I think it looks interesting and unique.

I like it, but just not for them, yeah.

- Let's look at one more option.

- [Oliva] I love this.

- [Travis] Visual Match tool actually

gives you a lot of different potential matches.

- It looks like it can take a lot of

people putting drinks on it and stuff like that.

I would wanna get that now.

- [Travis] Okay.

- [Olivia] Add to cart.

We're gonna buy it.

- [Travis] There you go.

- I should tell you, the person who's helping me

with the surprise is going to be my stepfather, Sam.

This is a very, very, very important renovation

for me and my family because if my mom isn't

cooking for all of us, we'll all go hungry.

- Don't worry, you will not go hungry with me.

- Okay, I appreciate that.

- Got it. - Thank you so much.

I'm so excited! - Thank you!

- Today, Travis and Sam are meeting up to walk through

the space and go over the renovation plans.

- [Sam] Travis.

- Hi, Sam. - Come in here.

- Good to meet you. - Nice to meet you, welcome.

- [Travis] I'm so excited to get started on this.

- Well, welcome.

I have the most difficult job here,

trying to keep both Olivia and Ms. Kim happy.

- Tell me a little bit about the space

as you guys currently use it.

- The countertops are a little bit tall for my wife.

- Okay.

- She's about this tall.

- Everything was built at a standard height.

They make a cabinet lift system where all of the

shelves in the cabinet actually come down

to countertop level where you can use that storage,

push it back up, and it's out of sight, out of mind.

- Wow.

- So obviously, this island size isn't working

for you guys right now.

This ends up being about six chairs.

If we could get a new, larger island to seat six,

do you think that that would work?

Maybe all in one level?

- Absolutely.

- Okay.

Are there any other things about the kitchen

that just aren't working?

- [Sam] I think it's dark.

- Because of the eight foot ceiling height,

it's really keeping it from that light, open feeling,

so what we'll do is give you an extra

three, four feet of height.

- I think that's a great idea.

- Let's take a look at the living room.

How do you currently use this space?

- Right now, if you're over there,

you're watching people watch TV.

It couldn't be more face-to-face.

- Makes perfect sense.

I think opening this up will just

make the space feel bigger.

- I like it.

I'm super excited about this whole project.

I can't wait to see it.

- I think that this is gonna be

an incredible transformation.

- And if Kim doesn't like it, she's gonna blame you.

- That's what I'm worried about.

- [Olivia] Today is demo day, but I can't be there,

so I am leaving everything up to Sam and Travis.

- Looks like you're a professional.

Okay, you ready?

- I was thinking that it'd be really interesting

to see some ceiling come down.

- Interesting is a good word.

Messy is the better one, but I say we tear into it.

Oh!

- [Sam] That's what I wanted to see!

- There you go.

Okay, I think we need to leave some for my guys.

- [Olivia] It's been three weeks since renovations

have started on my mom's house.

And right now, Sam is going to meet up with Travis

to see how it's all going on.

- Hi Travis!

How you doing?

- Hey, great to see you. - Oh, wow.

This is something.

- Yeah.

So this kinda gives you a full view of what

that new ceiling height is gonna be.

- [Sam] I love it.

- Yeah, major improvement.

This is gonna be a much, much bigger

and better kitchen for Kim.

- [Sam] How exciting.

- Since we removed the carpet, we're gonna put

new flooring in this entire great room,

but I think we're gonna need an awesome rug.

I wanna show you this one that I found on Houzz.

With the View in My Room 3D tool in the Houzz app,

you can preview an item before we buy it

to see if it really fits in the room and looks great.

So you can place the rug here and turn it

so it's in the right spot.

- Wow, I really like that.

- Awesome, let's buy it.

All we do is we press list, add to cart.

Okay, and it's on its way.

- [Sam] Wow.

- I think we should call.

Hi Olivia! - Hi!

- Hi!

- How are you?

- I'm doing good, how are you, Travis?

- [Travis] Great!

This is the new area that was your kitchen.

Now we're ready to start fresh.

- Oh my gosh, it looks so good.

Can I see the pantry area?

- [Travis] Yeah, of course.

This right here is your new walk-in pantry area.

- [Olivia] That's really big.

- Yeah, I doubt that it'll take Kim long to fill it,

but we've got plenty of space for her now.

- That's awesome.

- [Travis] And this is the new spot for the refrigerator.

- My mom cooks so much, there's always so many leftovers,

and if you open up our fridge at any moment,

there will be 17 old butter containers

filled with Vietnamese food.

- [Sam] Surprises.

- With surprises.

So we're gonna get the biggest one we can possibly find,

and actually, over here, this is

all of your new living room space.

- Oh, wow.

- [Travis] This is the TV space there.

It's right in the middle of that pantry wall.

- And so then all the furniture

will be facing that direction?

- [Travis] Yes.

The sectional kind of makes an L this way.

- Oh, that's nice.

Is there the wood floor on the ground I can see?

- Yeah, all of it is a wood-look tile,

so you get the warmth of wood, but you actually

still have the durability of the porcelain tile.

- Yeah, we wanted to do real wood, but my family,

they're animals and they don't know how to wipe their feet.

- [Travis] And then this right here is the new fireplace.

- Oh, wow.

- So we've taken out the hearth and the surround

and actually gained quite a few inches.

I was really hoping for you to consider maybe

a wallpaper as an accent there, or a cool paint color?

- I don't know how I feel when

people just do that one wall.

You know what I think would be great?

Is do some kind of built-in there, a built-in shelf

for all my mom's knickknacks and tchotchkes.

- That way we would actually regain the depth

that we have to build out around that fireplace.

- Sam, do you love that?

- [Sam] I love it.

- We've got a lot of work to get done.

- Yeah, thank you so much for all of the hard work.

It looks amazing, you guys.

I'm so excited to see it in person.

- Thank you so much.

We'll talk to you soon.

- Thank you. - Alright, bye, guys.

- Bye.

The ideas that Olivia has had have been awesome,

and so we're really gonna create something special for Kim.

- [Olivia] I'm back in Oklahoma today.

Right now, I'm on my way to go meet up with Sam and Travis

to do the finishing touches so everything is

exactly perfect for her.

- [Travis] Perfect.

- Just like that?

- [Travis] Yeah.

- [Olivia] Hello?

- [Travis] Hey!

- Oh my god!

- [Travis] What do you think?

- This looks unreal, oh my god.

Walking and seeing how amazing everything looked...

I mean, it doesn't look anything like

the way the house used to be.

It's just so crazy that it came together so perfectly.

Sam, what do you think?

- [Sam] I love it.

- [Olivia] Oh my gosh.

- [Travis] Do you think your mom will like it?

- I think she's gonna be floored.

I mean, Sam, you're tearing up.

Isn't it amazing?

Aw.

- We're not done yet.

There's still a ton to put together.

- [Olivia] Let me help you.

Okay.

- Yes, put this right here for now.

- Okay.

Travis, is this the coffee table that we saw on Houzz?

- Yes!

Isn't it beautiful in real life?

- It is amazing.

It literally looks exactly how it looked online,

which is really exciting.

- [Sam] Beautiful.

- [Travis] Yeah, it's perfect.

- And it's so durable, right?

- [Travis] Yes.

I thought this was really cool, a little pop of white.

- [Olivia] Elephants are good luck.

- [Travis] That's awesome.

- [Olivia] Oh my gosh!

I grew up looking at these needlepoints

that my mom would do.

- We had them reframed.

It's a pop of color, it's a little gallery feeling,

so it's really her art.

- This is the fanciest her art has ever looked.

- [Travis] Let me get this.

- That looks great.

This is so pretty, Travis.

- [Travis] We've got some great color.

- [Olivia] Okay, I think we're done.

- Yeah.

- Sam, can you do me a favor?

Can you go get mom for me?

- Okay. - I'm so excited!

- Good luck!

- Alright.

I'm a little nervous because, with my mom,

you can never predict what she's gonna say,

but we added a lot of things that were

her own personal touches that I think

she's really gonna love. (knocking)

Hi!

Okay, don't look, don't look, don't look, don't look.

Hold on, okay.

Hi!

Are you excited?

- Yes, I am!

- I have a big, big surprise for you.

There's nobody else I know that works as hard as you do.

This is my gift to you, and I hope that you love it.

- Thank you so much.

- Just so you know, that's the first time

you've ever thanked me for anything.

I'll be right...

Hold on, okay?

So wait, ready?

- Yeah. - Are you ready?

Okay.

- [Kim] So beautiful, my goodness!

Different than before!

- [Olivia] Doesn't it feel big and open?

- Yes. - Look how high

the ceilings are.

Remember how low they were before?

- [Kim] Oh, I love it.

Thank you so much.

- [Olivia] You're so welcome.

- Big hug.

- Oh, you hit hard when you hug.

- Big hug.

- I know, your big hugger.

- [Kim] It's so beautiful.

- Do you see those, those lights?

How pretty are those?

- [Kim] I love them.

- [Olivia] You do?

- Yes! - Travis and I

picked that out on Houzz.

- I love this table.

- [Olivia] Do you?

- [Kim] I like the elephant too.

- [Olivia] I know!

You wanna sit on the couch?

- Yeah.

It's a good cushion.

Oh, this rug!

- [Olivia] I know, isn't it nice?

- [Kim] It's a beautiful rug.

- It looks kinda like mine in California, remember?

- Yeah, that one.

I always wanted one like that.

I love them.

Oh, I love over there.

- I know, did you see?

We took out the fireplace and you have

so much stuff that I wanted to display some of it.

- Oh, I love it. - It can sit here without...

- I love so much.

It's beautiful.

I like floor.

- [Olivia] I know, isn't that pretty?

- [Kim] They look like wood, but they not.

- [Olivia] Look at the chairs.

Travis and I picked these out on Houzz.

Do you like them?

- I love them.

- This is the kitchen, right?

And it's really, really special to me

because I wanted it to work for you,

so all the functionality is custom-made

to fit your tiny height, but also,

it's all commercial-grade.

- All my height.

- [Olivia] Yeah, it's all your height.

- I don't gotta tip-toe.

- No.

Wait, mom, how tall are you?

- 5'2".

- Ish.

- 5'1" now.

- Do you keep shrinking?

So it's always been hard for you to reach the cabinets.

These are specially made for you, so you get to use

way up there and not have to worry about it.

And then pull it down and it'll go all the way down,

and it makes it--

- Oh, wow, I don't have to climb or stand on the stool.

- And it goes up.

- I cannot believe it. - Isn't that cool?

- Yeah!

- [Olivia] I put a rice cooker into your counter.

You know, you always--

- That's a rice cooker?

- Yeah.

- [Kim] Oh, what?

- And you can steam other things in here.

It's not just a rice cooker but...

- Oh, man, I didn't know that rice cooker...

- Isn't that cool?

So now you have this whole thing of just rice all the time.

- [Kim] And it'll be warm!

- Here, open that door.

- Can I open it?

- Yeah.

We decided to give you a full walk-in pantry.

- Oh, man!

Oh, that's beautiful, I needed--

- I know, isn't it?

- I like it all. - I know,

you can put everything--

- [Kim] I like it, a walk-in pantry.

- [Olivia] I know!

- [Kim] Oh, man, that's good.

I can keep everything in here.

- Yeah, and you can live here.

We can put-- - I can live here.

- --a bed in here for you.

- I can put a futon here.

- You can live here forever.

- Oh, I love the pantry.

I'm very happy and I cannot wait to cook

and I want to invite a lot of people

to come by to see my new house.

I never think white it before, but now I love them.

- I know, it's so pretty.

Well, white with the wood makes it really warm.

(knocking)

There's actually somebody I want you to meet

who helped me out a lot with this.

- [Kim] Oh?

- Hey guys.

Sam.

- [Kim] It's beautiful.

- Come.

Mom, this is Travis.

He's the interior designer.

- Hi!

Good to meet you! - Nice to meet you!

Oh my goodness.

- He made this whole thing happen for you,

and you should say thank you--

- Thank you! - --to Sam too,

'cause he worked really hard.

- [Kim] He did?

- He worked really hard, give him a hug too.

- Oh, thank you!

This is my husband.

- I'm deeply appreciative to Olivia

for doing this for her mother and for me.

- How did like to work with my husband Sam?

- He was great and tore up the ceiling!

- He is showoff.

- He's a showoff

- Hi! - Hi!

- [Olivia] Hi guys!

- I'm so excited.

- [Olivia] Andy, I didn't know you were coming.

- [Kim] Did you see the table?

- [Olivia] You have a lot of dolls

for a grown woman, just so you know.

- [Kim] Yes.

- But it's nice, 'cause you don't have to have

all the mess right there on top of the fireplace.

- Sam's mess.

- [Olivia] It's your mess too.

You can't blame Sam for everything.

You're pretty messy yourself.

- [Kim] Come see this one.

- At her height so she can...

- [Olivia] And it's already plugged in.

- [Kim] It's my size.

I like it a lot.

- Built-in rice cooker?

- Yeah. - And a steamer too.

You know, I'm very, very grateful

and I know she love me a lot.

- We made a walk-in pantry.

- Oh, yeah. - That's a walk-in?

Alright, kinda keep going in.

Try to keep going in, keep going in.

Alright, the whole Asian family fits in here.

- [Male] There's a guest room.

- I'm just ecstatic that it all came together

exactly how we had talked about it.

Thanks for letting us come in

and completely redo your place.

We hope you guys love it.

Thank you so much, cheers.

Everything is at her height.

She's not gonna have to get on a stepstool.

Everything has a place.

I think it's obviously going to make her life

so much better, and I'm really excited

that she loves it so much.

Now you have to start cooking for us.

- [Kim] I'm retired.

- [Olivia] Now you're retied?

German Gets SUPER EXCITED at ESO SUPERNOVA in Munich - Duration: 11:40.

I want to see the stars today. Actually, right now. - But it's sunny. And it's the morning.

I have an idea.

Hey everyone, Dana here! And Stefan. So Stefan is absolutely fascinated by stars and outer space.

Yeah, I am. I think I mentioned it in this video. It's the correct side, or? - I think so. - Yeah.

And yeah, I love it. I just love it. And...even though I, you don't see it. I'm really excited.

Because Dana told me be more excited. But I am. - Well, no. I didn't say be more excited.

I mean the past month...okay, so wait a second. What are we even doing?

I don't think we've even said what we're doing yet. - No. - What are we doing?

We are going to the ESO Supernova. It's a brand new planetarium here in Munich.

Yeah. The ESO Supernova Planetarium actually opens on April 28.

Which as of filming this video is tomorrow.

But today is April 27 and we were invited to a preview with other bloggers.

So we were invited and we got this invitation like a month ago.

I didn't think you need to be more excited. You've been excited the whole month.

He's been like: we're going, we're going, we're going!

You were so excited. - I have a problem showing it but I am excited.

I know. I know. You have trouble showing your... - My excitement is in here. - Aw, where's your excitement?

Here. - Here? - In here. - Not here? - Not here. Not in my face. - Or your voice. - Or in my voice.

I'm excited!

And we're an hour early here. - We are an hour early to the event because Stefan was so excited.

Let's go in. - Yeah. Let's go inside. Well, it's not open yet. But let's just walk to the door.

This is what it'll look like when we do go in.

Did you just walk out and in again? - I did. Or else how would you be filming this Stefan?

Listen to that echo.

Oh, it's in English and German! That's amazing.

Look, like: "Erste Generation von Sternen entdecken; Discover the first generation of stars."

I'm stepping on Munich. Look at the German section and the English section.

Oh, cool! I can change, I can change what's on there depending on what I push. Okay. Temperature.

Again, I think it's great this is also shown in English and German.

And I really appreciate that.

Because even though I can read German, when there's so much stuff to read and so much

to take in, and you know, sometimes in places like planetariums or museums

there's a lot of technical words.

So I definitely appreciate having this, having the things in English and German.

I'm on the moon!

Oh no, Stefan's on the moon.

It's time to go in and watch the show. We have our tickets, Stefan? Tickets! So let's go.

I don't know when the last time was that I was in a planetarium. I'm sure I was with you, Stefan.

Do you remember?

There were like stars and all sorts of stuff just...yeah it made me kind of like, ahh...

like in a different world!

I really, I came out of the planetarium feeling like in a different world.

I'm kind of like ah, there's light again. - Yeah, you're spaced out. - Yeah.

I'm spaced out because I was just in a planetarium where I was in the middle of space.

We got a lot of information now and heard all about the planetarium and how it was built

and what's going on here in the coming months.

So admission here is free in 2018, so...

There's just, there's so many different aspects that can be brought into astronomy.

Our sun is pretty small, actually. So the smallest one, that's actually our sun. - That one? - Yeah, that one!

Yeah, not this one. No, no, that tiny one there is our sun.

For example, upstairs there's a something which is our Galaxy Collision Table.

And that's real simulation data.

So what do we have here?

Yeah, so this is 2 kilograms, how it would be on Jupiter.

Definitely more than Earth 2 kilograms.

I like it in here.

I'm in the desert.

It's beautiful. The world is beautiful.

Can you see? - Yeah, it works. There. - It works? Oh, you can see it!

So Dana is saying the whole time "very cool, very cool." - Yeah. - And I say "nice." - Nice. - Nice. - Nice.

Thank you so much for taking a moment to talk with me.

Could you just say your name and what you do here? - Yeah, I am Tania Johnston.

And I am the ESO Supernova Coordinator, so which I think is the coolest job title ever.

My name is Oana Sandu. And I've started at ESO 8 years ago as an intern.

And now I have a lot on my plate to do. Things like social media.

So when you see ESO social media accounts, that's me behind the scenes. - Ah, okay!

I also do promotion, like if you have an event I think about ways in which we can reach the

relevant people for them. Distribution, I send products out. And partnerships as well.

My name is Mathias Jäger. I'm part of the public outreach department at ESO.

My main job with the ESO Supernova was the development of the guided tours and also be

the main contact person for design and the development of the exhibition.

In a sentence, what makes the ESO Supernova Planetarium special for you?

For me it's an amazing opportunity to engage the public with pretty much all of astronomy.

There you go, that's a good sentence.

In one sentence only? - Maybe two.

I think it's the only visitor center dedicated only on astronomy this size existing in whole Europe.

Okay. - This makes it very, very unique.

Why should people come here instead of, you know, doing something else on their visit

to Munich?

Okay, well, one reason: it's free. That's always a good thing. You know, you don't have to pay.

Obviously we welcome donations. When people come. We have donation boxes.

But why else should people come?

For me, one of the brilliant things that we have here is that we have this direct link

with an astronomy organization.

The world leading ground-based astronomy organization.

I mean, obviously there's lots of science centers around the world and museums.

And they're all fantastic and have great engagement.

But for me what makes us really special is that we have this direct link.

And many of the volunteers are actually researchers or engineers who work at ESO or also from

partner institutes on the campus.

So it's a chance for the public to really meet real scientists and engineers that are

working on modern technology and doing current research.

The ESO Supernova has the biggest planetarium in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

So that by itself I think it makes it an interesting attraction for people.

You can come here to get a journey that you can't in other places.

So you basically lift off from the Earth and try to experience galaxies, our solar systems,

exoplanets.

So I think it's a totally different world and people should not miss that opportunity.

What is your favorite thing to look up when you look up at the night sky, what's your

favorite thing to look for or see up there?

Wow. That is a really hard question. - Or one of your favorites.

Well, I mean nothing beats seeing the aurora. - Okay. - I mean, seeing aurora is just stunning.

Do you have a favorite show or a favorite exhibition here at the moment?

I have a favorite show. It's called "Hidden Universe."

It was produced in IMAX technology, and we're showing it here at the ESO Supernova.

It's just a brilliant show to go and really experience the universe.

It has one of the most beautiful images of the universe inside.

And I also helped with some advice and promotion for them.

So I have, like, a personal connection to that show.

What should a teacher do if they'd like to come with their school group?

They can look up at the Supernova webpage: Supernova.ESO.org.

There they can find a button for educators and they can book their visits.

Do you that just in general people should try to look up more at the night sky?

I definitely think so.

I think it's sometimes unfortunate that we live in these big cities with a lot of light pollution.

And we no longer can see the Milky Way every time we go out at night.

So I think it brings a sense of connection with the universe, within ourselves.

This familiarity I was talking about. The fact that we all look at the same sky.

So I definitely do think people should look up more and maybe go to darker places so they

can enjoy the sky better.

Wow, what a lovely time, huh? - It was amazing. - It was wonderful.

Could have spent there another 3 days in there. - Yeah. We hope that you enjoyed this little outing. And...

Dana and I will definitely come back. - That's what I wanted to say. My brain is spacey.

I'm a space cadet because I'm thinking about space. So yeah, we'll definitely be coming back.

Just because... - It's awesome. - It was so awesome. We will put links down in the description below.

And now we would like to say thank you, thank you, thank you so much to

everyone - Everyone. - at ESO Supernova for this awesome thing.

Thank you so much for making this happen.

And special thanks to Oana for inviting us to this event.

Thank you for finding us and reaching out to us about it.

And also a big thanks to Tania, who led us through the day and also led our tour in English.

So our question for you is: have you ever been to a planetarium? How was it?

Please let us know in the comments below.

Thanks so much for watching.

If you enjoyed the video, maybe think about giving a like with the like button.

And... - Don't forget to subscribe for more Wanted Adventure videos on Wednesdays and Sundays.

And also a really, really, really big thank you so much to our patrons on Patreon, who

help make these videos possible. Thank you so much for your support.

If you would like to check out our Patreon page, you can find a link to that, where?

In the description box. - Down in the description box below.

With all the other information. - With all the other stuff.

Until next time, auf Wiedersehen!

I think I mentioned it in this video here. This video there.

Don't worries. I have an idea. - Don't worries?

Touch the screen to wake me up. No, I don't want to wake it up. Let it sleep.

We woke up really early this morning. The ticket machine can sleep in a little.

Should I walk? - Yeah. - Walk now? - Yes. - Walk? Go?

BREAKING News Out Of North Korea! HOLY HELL! - Duration: 2:09.

BREAKING News Out Of North Korea!

HOLY HELL!

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Chinese President Xi Jinping met secretly in northern

China on Monday and Tuesday, marking the third time Kim has left the Hermit Kingdom since

he took power 6 1/2 years ago.

The stealth summit, which was only announced by China state television after Kim had flown

out of the country, comes ahead of high-stakes nuke talks with the United States, Fox News

reported.

In a dispatch from the Chinese city of Dalian, China's Xinhua news agency reported that

Kim and Xi held talks on Monday and Tuesday.

Kim and Xi "had an all-round and in-depth exchange of views on China-DPRK relations

and major issues of common concern," Xinhua said.

DPRK is an acronym for North Korea's formal name, the Democratic People's Republic of

Korea.

The North's state broadcaster also reported on the second summit between Kim and Xi in

the northeastern city of Dalian, Yonhap News reports.

North Korea's state media reported that Kim traveled to Dalian via a special plane

and he was accompanied by his powerful sister Kim Yo-jong and Ri Su-yong, a vice party chairman

on international affairs.

Actually trusting North Korea or China would be beyond foolish and President Trump has

surrounded himself with some of the greatest military minds our military has to offer.

For all practical purposes it "appears" China is helping to orchestrate a peace treaty

between the two Koreas and the United States.

The blunt truth is, China wants the United States out of the South Pacific and especially

the South China Sea.

President Trump has said that if the talks are not what he desires, he will walk-out.

We have to hope if China and North Korea are playing a dangerous game, that our President

will see through the lies as well as be provided the intel to call both communism leaders out.

Knitting Help - Double-Thick Hat Cuff - Duration: 12:21.

In this video, I'm going to demonstrate how to make a double thick hat cuff.

It's an easy modification.

Well, there are a few steps to it, but it's not a difficult modification.

To make a modification to really any hat that has a ribbed cuff on it, whether it's a single

ribbed cuff or one that's designed to be folded double, you can do this.

It's a really nice squishy ribbed cuff because there is no cast on stiff edge.

Few extra steps, I think it's worth it, you can do this with any hat pattern that's already

out there.

I'm gonna show you what I have here and the techniques to do it.

Let's go and take a look.

The reason I'm doing this video is because I posted a picture of this hat, this is my

in progress hat and I was doing this technique on there and I posted the picture to Instagram

and Facebook, and I went and had dinner, whatever.

I came back and there were so many people saying, "Can you post a video on what this

sorcery is?"

So you can see it's just a regular ribbed cuff and then it's folded over at the bottom

edge here.

And on the inside there is no stiff edge, no cast on edge, everything's really very

stretchy because we used provisional cast on.

Now, this is not my design, this is a hat I'm knitting called Coronal, and I'll give

you a link in the video description field.

This is just something I'm getting for fun, it's not for a video or anything.

But to get started with this, we're going to take our hat knitting needles and some

scrap yarn, something in a contrasting color from what we're using as our main hat color.

We're going to do a crocheted provisional cast on.

The first thing you do is tie a knot in the end of this yarn and that is just to mark

the slipknot end because we're gonna need to know that later.

And then make a slipknot, you don't really have to know how to crochet to do this, we're

going to just chain a few stitches and now, we're going to use the crochet hook to put

the provisional cast on right on the needle.

So hold your working yarn over in your right hand, your crochet hook in your left hand...that's

backwards.

Hold the crochet hook in your right hand, the working yarn in your left hand unless

you wanna work it the other way.

But just set yourself up like this with your needle resting on the yarn then reach the

hook over and grab that working yarn and pull it through the loop on the hook and you've

just cast on one.

Then take your working yarn, pop it behind the needle and repeat the same process.

Reach over, grab it, pull it through the loop on the needle and then pop the working yarn

behind the needle.

Now, when you're doing a provisional cast on, if your yarn for your hat is actually

a really lightweight yarn, you don't have to do the provisional cast on in that same

lightweight yarn.

In fact, I use like DK or worsted for everything, even if it's fingering weight yarn.

It's just easier to work with.

So you're just gonna follow whatever your pattern says, you're gonna put on as many

stitches as it tells you to cast on for your pattern, and magically, I have mine done.

And what I have here is the provisional cast on is done, I've taken the yarn that I'm using

for my hat and I started at the slipknot end and I just knit around...actually across.

We're not joined in the round yet.

Very importantly, starting at the slipknot end just knit those stitches, even if your

pattern says to start ribbing, the first round is knit.

And I'm just gonna finish this up, these last few stitches.

[00:04:00]

[silence]

[00:04:17]

That last stitch is split a little bit, but it's the provisional cast on so it's not gonna

make a difference.

Okay, so you can see here, I started slipknot end, I knit around, and now, I'm actually

ready to join in the round and start working the ribbing of my hat.

So I'm gonna grab a stitch marker, make sure that nothing is twisted, pop it on the right

needle and my hat pattern, we're going to say is...actually what I'm using here, for

example, is the Branta hat by Marigold Fibers.

Really nice yarn to work with and a really cute free pattern for a hat.

My pattern is I'm gonna use two by two rib.

So the next round I'm actually going to join in the round and start my two by two rib.

Okay, so that part is just like any other knitting, the only difference is that you

have a provisional cast on at one end.

So you'll knit your rib for twice as long as you want it to look because we're gonna

double it over, right?

And you end up with something like this.

I have knit the rib and my provisional cast on is still there, and it's as long as I want

it.

I have four inches here, for a two-inch cuff.

I'm going to knit up to the end.

I always leave a few stitches from the end so that my stitch marker doesn't fall off.

But I'm gonna go ahead and let it fall off this time.

Now, I am ready to remove this provisional cast on and get ready to fold this over.

So ignoring this end for a while and focusing on this end again, I'm gonna find the end

that doesn't have the knot in it.

I wanna start with the non slipknot end, and I can start unraveling this chain and popping

out these stitches, and then I need to get another circular needle.

It's actually...this is the same needle that I was using for the provisional cast on, you

know, a minute ago, but it's actually easier to use a needle size smaller or two and it

can have a longer cord.

It doesn't matter.

It's unlikely that most people are going to have a bunch of the exact same 16 inch circulars,

it can be smaller and it can be, you know, 24, 32 inches long.

It doesn't matter.

So this first stitch is wonky, you can see the yarn runs right through it.

I'm gonna put my needle in there and pull the yarn out of it.

Okay, and from here on it's a bit easier.

What we're looking at here is the V under the yellow yarn and I see that there.

I'm gonna put my needle behind the right leg of that V and I can pop that stitch out and

on the next one pop that stitch out, and you can pull up on the provisional cast on if

you're having a hard time seeing.

I see the V, I put my needle under the right leg, and usually what I like to do is to not

pop it out, not pop out the stitch each time, but pick up a few right legs.

That one's hard to see, so I'm going to take those out and then pull on it a little bit,

there you are.

You need to do this all the way around until you have all of the stitches from the provisional

cast on retrieved onto your second needle and more magic because I'm finished.

See?

This is the side I was knitting and this is where I removed my provisional cast on onto

a longer circular needle, just like I was saying in a smaller size.

So now, we're going to fold it in half and I want to fold the provisional cast on end

kind of inside the other end.

And depending on your needles this can be tricky sometimes.

I'm gonna poke the needles in first and then fold the hat print in.

Ta-da!

Okay, this is what I took a picture of with the other hat that I showed you, the one that

I'm working on.

I took a picture of this and everyone's like, "What is happening here?

This is so visually confusing."

So that's why we're doing this video.

What I'm going to do here is I'm going to line up the stitches that I've been knitting

with the ones I just took out of the provisional cast on, and I'm going to knit together one

from the front and one from the back, so that we have the original number stitches that

I want, that the hat calls for.

So it's a little bit of adjusting because there's a lot going on here.

I just wanted to let go of my working yarn and pop this one in the middle.

There we go.

You know what?

I haven't finished the end of my round yet.

Let me just do that real quick.

I was looking for my stitch marker, it's like ah, it's still on the needle.

Okay, slipped my marker, I'm at the beginning of the round and I'm ready to go.

Put the needle into the first stitch on the front needle, into the first stitch on the

back needle, wrap the needle, pull it through one, pull it through two, pull both stitches

off.

Front, back, wrap, through one, through two, pull both stitches off.

Now, don't worry this can be really awkward if you've never done this before.

It's a lot like the three needle bind off.

We're just not binding off.

But keeping the stitches scooched up close to the tips and everything, it is awkward

when you first do it, but you'll get the hang of it, it's worth it in the end for this cool

cuff.

Front, back, wrap, pull through the back, pull through the front, both stitches off.

I wanna get enough of this done so I can show you the results of what we did.

That should do it.

There we have our double thick cuff, nice folded over edge, really comfortable.

And then on the inside of the work, it is perfectly stretchy with no stiff cast on edge.

So that's the technique and everyone was just asking for this a couple of days ago.

So I quickly put all these pieces together because I don't wanna disappoint.

Anyway, that's how you can work this double hat cuff, really a modification to any hat

pattern that has ribbing.

I hope that helps.

Good luck.

thank you. Alright, so change that up a little bit 280

our way through this here together. Using every bit of runway, like you guys know I like

to do. Coming on out. Aileron in

into the wind. As you can see.

Smoothly applying some full power, and my ailerons stay

like this. Maintain directional control with the rudder

As I'm building up my air speed, and I'm babying some of that control out,

and we are up and flying.

Woo Hoo. It is gusty today.

geez, and we are getting bumped today.

Bumped around like crazy. Look at that crab angle I had to put in here

as we're climbing up and out. Flying on through

here. I want to make sure, I'm looking this way

I want to make sure I'm maintaining flying that

straight on out. Whoo it's gusty.

Getting bumped all around here. Maintaining that

and maintain this crab angle. A big part of this is gonna be

managing our traffic pattern as we come

on through as well. It's gonna prove to be so important. Now,

notice too, once I start and I make that left crosswind

I'm gonna be turning right into the wind, watch what that will do to my vertical speed as I'm now

ready. I'm gonna turn my left crosswind, which is basically now turning right on into

the wind. Remembering what the wind is doing to me in each little

phase of flight here.

Alright, turning in and look at my vertical speed 1,000 feet per minute as

we're coming on. I didn't change my pitch or anything like that, just turned it into the wind helping increase that

climb. Pattern altitude is gonna come real quick. And you're gonna look out and go I'm not covering as much

distance across the ground. So when I typically turn downwind at something like

a 1,000 feet, I'm not gonna turn yet because I'm at the altitude, but I'm

not covering as much distance across the ground so I'm still gonna hold my traffic pattern altitude

here for just a second. And we will hold this until about like normally

at, which actually out over this way quite a bit, so I'm gonna fly

loke this. Then I'm gonna remember the wind is gonna try to push me

back towards the runway as well. I'm gonna turn that down.

"Clear for takeoff, proceed on course to the west." And I'm kind of rolling through that turn but

I'm not gonna roll perfectly 90 degrees on out because I know the wind is

going to work to push me back towards that runway.

So I'm gonna hold, I'm holding like a 2, 20

heading right now. As crazy as that sounds,

but I'm flying this way. You're gonna pull this 2 20 here.

I'm gonna call midfield here in just a second.

23 Mike Zulu, I appreciate those wind checks because when you heard the ATIS that was

45 minutes old in that case, we're waiting for a new one to come on out here.

Maintain this, I'm making sure I'm not getting pushed in and creeping into the runway, like I said

I'm maintaining that nice crab angle here. I'm coming up

I'm maintaining that nice crab angle here. I'm coming up

I'm near my touchdown point now, I need to get down. Carburetor heat comes on,

I'll bring some power back, and I am using zero in the flap department. There is no

chance I'm using any flaps in this case.

Flaps what do they do? Yes, they slow us down, but they make that wing surface area bigger, they

add another component for some of that wind to get up underneath and it's not gonna be good news coming in

on a crosswind, or in gusty conditions, and we have both here today. I'm gonna

slow this on down, and just manage it using power. Coming on down

Now, this is very important. I'm about to turn base, where is the wind going to be?

Right? It's gonna be behind me, so it's gonna push me. This is why we do turns around a point.

It's gonna push me very, very quickly through this turn. I am not gonna have

much of a base. So I'm actually bringing, my powers back almost back to idle,

here, because I know I'm not going to have much of a base. I know I still need to get down

a little bit, and the wind is just gonna push me right on through here.

And I'm rolling out and I have a heck of a tail wind here right now.

Got a ground speed of like a 102 here, but I'm just showing about

85 indicated. Right? We're coming through, final looks

clear, I have some birds out in front of me here I need to watch.

There they are, he already cleared me to land. I'm not looking

and by the way I need to time this, I need to turn a little bit early based on where the wind is,

because I'm not looking to hit a point, I'm not looking for a gorgeous landing

I'm looking for a safe landing on the center line to put that upwind

wheel down and roll this airplane on out. That's what I'm looking for here.

Look how, looks like I'm skiing through this turn as it's kind of below

blowing me on through here. I've got a little bit of power and I need that power to

keep coming on down. And we're working our way on down

I've got a nice crab angle, I teach the crab to side

slip here. So we're coming on in. I've got a nice little crab angle

and then we're gonna go ahead an I'll put that upwind wheel down first. I can see

the windsock is exactly right. If anything it has switched quite a bit to that

280. Maintain this coming on down. It's 280

some power out, keeping that nose coming down.

And just flying it all the way down. I still have power and even right here.

I'm going into my side slip I still have a little bit of power in.

That powers back, back, back, back, back. Now I'm back to idle, I'm holding it, just

riding the waves, riding the waves. Holding it here, holding it here.

Waiting for that to come on down. There's my upwind wheel, there's my next crosswind

correction comes in and let it roll. Just let it roll right on out.

"correction 3 Mike Zulu, turn right next to actually at Alpha

6 any contact around point 4."

Alpha 6.4 thank you 23 Mike Zulu. And ride this on out, now I'm slowly

getting on the brakes, applying a little back pressure, a little aerodynamic braking

here but I don't want to get flying again. Be very careful of that and then we can turn

off and we'll contact ground here on Alpha 6.

Wow that was a really gusty day. What a fun takeoff

what a fun day. You notice I was a little quieter on that video than normal right? You can always tell

when it's a challenging flight when Jason's quiet, that's a tough one. Can't wait to read your comments

Good luck.

Never Let Go of Your Partner If They Does Any of These Things - Duration: 2:33.

Them Go".

Calvin Harris involved in 'horror car crash' with girlfriend

According to TMZ, 34-year-old One Kiss star Calvin Harris and his girlfriend Aarika Wolf collided with another vehicle over the weekend.

The incident apparently happened in a residential street in Beverly Hills on Sunday.

It was claimed model Aarika, 24, was driving a Range Rover at the time, while the other driver was in a Honda.

Pictures obtained by TMZ show the Hondas airbags were activated and there was damage to the side of it.

The other driver and passenger, who are said to be two young women, claim to be injured after the incident.

Police were reportedly called to the scene after the collision.

This isnt the first time that Scottish star Calvin has been involved in a car crash.

He was also caught up in a collision in 2016, however luckily walked away with only a few minor injuries.

One photo from the scene at the time showed that the left side of the hood of Calvins car was completely torn off, revealing the engine underneath.

Calvin was taken to hospital after the crash, where he was reportedly treated for a laceration to the face.

He was then forced to cancel a scheduled show the following week and pulled out of his headline slot at Alabamas Hangout Music Fest.

Calvin and Aarika have reportedly been in an on/off relationship for years.

They are said to have first met in 2014 on the set of the music video for his track Blame.
