Apollo 1's Fatal Fire Almost Ended the Program | Apollo - Duration: 6:52.

Going to space was always a risk,

but in the beginning of the Apollo Program, the United

States got a stark realization of just how dangerous its moon missions would be.

The Apollo Program almost ended before it even got off the ground.

In the mid 1960s, NASA was working at breakneck speed, attempting to take another step towards

President John F. Kennedy's goal to land a man on the moon by the end of the decade.

Apollo Program engineers were still focused on fulfilling the foundation for the project's

objectives: Establishing the technology to meet other national interests in space; Achieving

preeminence in space for the U.S.; Carrying out a program of scientific exploration of

the Moon; And developing man's capability to work in the lunar environment.

By 1966, NASA upgraded its first multistage rocket, the Saturn I, to the more powerful Saturn IB.

The top part of the rocket was where several major systems lived including the Apollo spacecraft

- known as the Command-Service Module or CSM.

The command module was considered the mother ship, with the goal of carrying the astronauts

to space and then returning them safely to Earth.

Inside were three compartments, including the sealed crew cabin, which only had about

six cubic meters of space.

With all the operational displays, crew couches and equipment, there was very little room

left over for the astronauts to maneuver.

A prototype version of the spacecraft, the Apollo Block I CSM, would be the first to

embark on a manned mission.

NASA set the launch date for February 21, 1967.

The purpose of the flight was to test launch operations, ground tracking and control facilities,

and the performance of the Saturn IB rocket and the CSM spacecraft.

NASA selected two veterans and one rookie as the crew for the mission that was later

dubbed Apollo 1.

The command pilot, Gus Grissom, was no stranger to the stress of space flight.

Grissom was one of the original Mercury pilots, and during the splashdown of his first mission,

the capsule's hatch blew open, causing him to nearly drown.

The senior pilot was Ed White who was the first American to conduct a space walk during

Project Gemini.

And the pilot was Roger Chaffee who at 31 would be the

youngest American ever to go to space.

He was added the crew as a replacement after the original pilot

dislocated his shoulder during training.

Chaffee was known as a notoriously nice guy who was often teased by other astronauts for

his admiration of Grissom and White.

He saw the Apollo 1 mission as a way to prove himself worthy of the title of astronaut.

Early on in their training, Grissom and the rest of the crew voiced concerns with the

spacecraft - primarily with the amount of flammable material in the cabin.

The astronauts jokingly presented this crew portrait to the Apollo Spacecraft Program

Office manager after he gave the spacecraft a passing grade.

But the thing is, the astronauts weren't alone in their concerns.

In fact, some experts believed the immense pressure of Kennedy's deadline forced NASA

and the contractor, North American Aviation, to make decisions that sacrificed safety.

One of the main concerns was NASA's decision to opt for a single gas environment inside

the capsule over a dual gas environment because it required a lighter system.

This meant that the Apollo spacecraft would use 100% oxygen in the crew cabin, so even

a small spark could quickly turn into a blaze.

Adding to that fear, other astronauts reported seeing what appeared to be frayed wires and

short circuits in the cabin of the spacecraft.

There were also issues with the decision to have the hatch open inward and the fact that

it did not carry explosive bolts in case of an emergency.

NASA and North American Aviation made as many adjustments as possible.

But in the interest of time, they decided to move forward with the February flight.

One month before launch, the rocket and spacecraft were cleared for what was referred to as a "plugs out test".

At 1pm on January 27th, the Apollo 1 astronauts entered the command module, sealed the hatch

and prepared for what was considered a sort of dress rehearsal for the actual flight.

There were problems from the start.

First, there was a foul odor emanating from the oxygen tank;

and then there was an alarm triggered, indicating a high oxygen flow;

To the frustration of the crew, static continually drowned communication with the control room.

At 6:31pm the test conductors were ready to start the countdown... seconds later horror struck.

A flash fire ripped through the spacecraft.

The emergency escape procedure called for a minimum of 90 seconds, but it only took

about 30 seconds for flames and toxic smoke to engulf the crew cabin.

Despite heroic efforts by NASA ground crews and controllers, it took a full five minutes

to open the hatch.

The deaths of Grissom, White and Chaffee were a shocking wake up call that caused many to

question President Kennedy's deadline to put a man on the moon.

All the progress NASA had made was blinded by tragedy.

The investigation of the Apollo 1 fire forced a hold on the space program.

The hard lessons learned from this mission would dictate new stringent checks and balances

that would inform all NASA missions to follow, ultimately changing the nation's path to the moon.

There's a lot of history that led up to this point, so if you want to learn more about

the start of the space race and NASA's first missions, check out this video.

The Kids Can't Handle the Truth - Duration: 4:35.

- Two questions to ask you.

Is it okay to keep a secret from your spouse?

- [Crowd] No!

- No, that's the politically correct answer.

(audience laughing)

Truth is you can't tell every damn thing.

(applauding) That's the truth.

Now, you can tell everything if you want to.

Okay, gonna be a lotta arguin' at your house.

But let me ask you another question.

Is it okay to keep secrets from your children?

- [Crowd] Yes!

- Oh now, you like that one, huh?

(audience laughing)

Oh, yeah. (applauding)

And that is a resounding yes,

because you have done things back in your past

that your kids don't need to know about.

- [Audience Member] That's right!

- Matter of fact is best they don't ever find out.

- [Crowd] Yes!

- Because you trying to raise your kids

better than the way you were raised.

You want them to have a better opportunity than you had.

So, you don't want them to step into

the same traps that you stepped into.

- [Crowd] Yes.

- Now, so sometimes you have to admit

that you stepped in traps, but sometimes it's best

not to tell them all the stuff you'd stepped in.

- [Audience Member] That's right.

- It's just not best, because kids use that.

See, they little manipulative little devils.

(audience laughing)

You did it when you was my age.

(audience laughing)

(clapping)

Because kids man, they ask you stuff

to get a barometer of where they are.

Like kids will ask you stuff like,

dad, did you ever sneak out the house before?

(audience chuckling)

No, I ain't never snuck out no house!

(audience laughing)

Well, truth of the matter is,

I had a garbage can under my window.

It wasn't a garbage can, it was a step.

(audience laughing)

So, when I got out the window I'd land

on the garbage can then get on the ground.

Snuck out the house all the time,

but to my sons I've never snuck out the house,

(audience chattering)

because they don't need to know that.

- [Audience Member] That's right!

(applauding)

My son then asks you,

dad, you ever cheat on your homework?

No, I ain't ever cheated on my homework!

Hell yeah, I cheated!

I graduated, didn't I?

(audience laughing)

How else was I gonna graduate?

(applauding)

Here was one, they said,

dad, how many girlfriends did you have in high school?

I said I was focused on my schoolwork!

(audience laughing) (applauding)

I tried to explain to my sons how much more

difficult it was to get a girl back in school,

when I was going to school than it was today.

There was no texting, there was no cell phones,

there was no emails, there was no FaceTime,

there was no Facebook, there was no Twitter.

(applauding)

If I liked a girl at school

I couldn't talk to her 'til I saw her at school,

'cause we only had one phone in the house.

Call waiting had never been developed.

See y'all don't, Millennials listen to me,

there was no call waiting.

They call your house the line just busy.

(audience cheering)

Just busy!

So I had to wait 'til I saw this girl

in school the next day, which developed into

the conversationalist that I became with women,

(audience cheering)

because this right here became butterscotch.

(audience cheering)

Ooh-woo! (audience laughing)

Man.

Couldn't go over to they house.

Everybody daddy stayed there.

(audience laughing)

Remember when families stayed

together just to stay together?

Remember that?

Remember when your mom and daddy

didn't have money to break up?

(audience laughing)

We got to stay together.

(applauding)

米津玄師 MV「Flamingo」 - Duration: 3:38.

In the darkness of the night, I feel isolated

The rain is lashing onto my sorrow in the cherry blossom haze

The wizened city streets, they have no time for me

My nose is dripping, feeling dreary, I'm sneering hopelessly

I can't even laugh at this cheap and lowly fight

The crimson hair ornament you wear. Hated love enemy

I wanna' touch the velvet tail of your eye

and that slight cold smile of yours

You're a fla fla fla flamingo,

so vivid

You're a fla fla fla flamingo,

keep dancing

You're floating away with a smile, never to return

Leaving only sorrow and jealousy behind

Thanks as always darlin' can you love me better next time

Feeling elated, thankful that I caught a glimpse of you

I'm blinded, I'm walking on thin air, and my mind is cloudy

Trying to be someone new, singing a tune,

Saying something flighty, end up looking like a fool

I just want to hear that voice that I love

So I made some easy money,

stolen after all by bunch of cheap thieves

I don't care that it's only you,

shining brightly on this ridiculous stage

It's a fla fla fla flamingo,

spine chillin'

It's a fla fla fla flamingo,

smile coyly

You're floating away, does this mean good-bye

Are you kidding me? Let's talk about this

Taking back your words, this is so fuckin' uncool

Beaten by the sleety rain, nose running

My right hand gripping a stupid cat's toy

Can't fool anyone with a toy nowadays,

wandering forever in this love affair

Oh King of Hell I appeal to you,

please judge her charms for me

A story of a drunk papier-mache doll,

playing this silly game till the day I die

You're a fla fla fla flamingo,

so vivid

You're a fla fla fla flamingo,

keep dancing

You're floating away with a smile, never to return

Leaving only sorrow and jealousy behind

Thanks as always darlin' can you love me better next time

LIVE: CHELSEA V MANCHESTER UNITED, PREMIER LEAGUE - Duration: 3:13.

Mourinho: "For me, it's another game. Would I celebrate like crazy my team's goal at Stamford Bridge or my team's victory? I don't think so

"I think I would try always to control myself and to respect the stadium and the supporters that were my supporters for many years

"It's a match I want to do well for my players, for my team, for my supporters. I'm 100% Manchester United - no space for anything more than respect

"On the other hand, Manchester United. Well, where do you start? They have had a difficult start to the season, losing three times and already SEVEN points behind the leading pack

There have been reports that Mourinho fell out with Paul Pogba; earlier this month there were rumours the Portuguese would be sacked and yet he is still hanging on

Last time out United came from behind to beat Newcastle 3-2 with a last-minute winner

Will that Alexis Sanchez goal prove the turning point in the Red Devils' season? Today's match feels massive in terms of Mourinho's short-term future

Sarri: "I'm very happy with the results but we need to improve, and we can improve

"We've had no time to work; I had eight players at the beginning of August and now we've started to play every three days so it's very difficult to work, improve the team and improve the players

"We need to improve our performances in the defensive phase. At the moment we are giving the opponents too many opportunities

"The biggest talking point is up front where Alvaro Morata is given the nod ahead of Olivier Giroud who drops to the bench

The Spaniard has struggled for goals this season, netting only twice, but Sarri is taking a chance with the former Real Madrid forward this afternoon

In midfield, Mateo Kovacic is preferred to Ross Barkley. The Premier League is back! And isn't it about time? What a cracker we have to start the weekend, too

Chelsea versus Manchester United, one of the greatest rivalries in English football which has only intensified by the fact Blues legend Jose Mourinho is now in charge of the Red Devils

But for how much longer? He has never met Maurizio Sarri in a competitive game before - until today

Kick-off is 45 minutes away and we have LIVE text commentary. Hang on tight, it's going to be exciting

도티, 아시아 크리에이터 대표로 유튜브 총괄을 만나다 - Duration: 22:32.

We are at a street near Hongik University, an area known for being the most trendy and young in Seoul.

Today, we are going to have an interview with a special person in this special place.

It's Gautam Anand! Anand, please introduce yourself.

I'm Gautam, and I lead the YouTube business here in Asia

Is there any reason that you chose this area to hold the event?

So, Hongdae is known for one of Korea's best universities for the arts.

There's a lot of young people and very strong creative energy.

And we're holding our second annual Creator Summit right here in Korea

and we thought the neighborhood really matches what YouTube stands for and what our Creators stand for.

As far as I remember, the last Creator Summit was held in Australia.

What is the primary focus of the YouTube Creator Summit 2018 in Korea?

Korea has always been an extremely important market for us—

We're so happy with the growth that we're seeing of Korean Creators.

Really, the Creator Summit is about us creating a community and getting our Creators together so that they can form a community

And I think that it's important for us to take them to different parts of Asia

so they can interact with creators from those countries.

Then, let's move on to the event hall to take a look at the Summit in detail.

Let's go!

Wow, it looks really nice.

That's how Creator Summit is

For creators who have traveled from all across Asia for the event,

a schedule is provided in multiple languages.

Now, there are souvenirs over there.

These are very special goods. And they are only available at this event.

I think much time and effort has been put in to preparing such a diverse event.

Yes, how was it?

Yes, it's taken us months to prepare for this.

It was really important for us to get it right.

We've got 80 of our top Creators from across the region here with us for this week

It was really important to us to make them comfortable

After this I want to show you one more place, so let's go there now

Ok, let's go

So we are at a rooftop bar where creators can network with one another and engage in various activities.

What stands out is all these details. Here's a YouTube mark.

YouTube just rented the whole hotel.

Oh, here comes our beverages.

Now, let's say "cheers" as we do when drinking in Korea.

Cheers!

Now, we are in the best room of the hotel, where the Creator Summit 2018 in Asia is being held.

This is where not just anybody can come in.

Here in this special room, we are going to talk about YouTube and its creator ecosystem in more detail.

So, Gautam. Please introduce yourself.

My name is Gautam and I lead the YouTube business here in Asia.

I've been at Google for over 13 years

And I got involved with YouTube pretty much right after the acquisition in October 2006

My first job was to figure out where to launch YouTube internationally

And in 2009 I moved to Singapore to really focus on building our operation here in the region.

First, please tell us about what you think is the most important in doing business in Asia,

and how you expect YouTube to develop in Asia going forward.

So, it's an exciting time for YouTube and for the region.

Globally today we have 1.9 billion logged-in users

they're are coming to our site and consuming over a billion hours of content every day

And a lot of that viewership is coming from right here in Asia

In fact, APAC is the fastest growing region for us globally

And 5 out of our top 10 markets for viewership are right here in this region.

The fact is that 40% of the world's population is right here in Asia

And we're really excited about all the new users who are coming online for the first time.

If you look at the improvements in access, and the cost of data coming down

That's leading to explosive growth for us across India and Southeast Asia.

We want to make sure we're building products that are suitable for markets which have such data constraints

Taking YouTube Go as an example,

This was a product that engineers who came to markets like India and Indonesia and really looked at what users wanted

and what products would work in data-constrained environments.

It was a product that was really built for users— taking those users in mind

And now it's available in over 145 different markets.

We continue to be focused on building and helping our Creator ecosystem

So programs like FanFest that started 5 years ago are now available in 10 different countries

We've taken the concept of our Spaces and created something called Pop-Up Spaces,

Which is now available in 8 different markets here in Asia

We want to be transparent and we want to communicate a lot more with our creators

We're focused on creating better policies and also on enforcement of those policies

And we're excited about bringing our YouTube Premium and our new YouTube Music into more markets in Asia

And that includes more investments in YouTube Originals

We've have really great success with Originals here in Korea

With programming that we've done with BTS and Big Bang

And we're also creating Originals in Japan,

and we hope to bring all of those products to more markets across the region.

I, personally, often look for content in the Trending Tab.

As a creator, I've always wondered how the Trending Tab selects its content.

It looks like the tab just chooses content that gets the most viewership in a short period of time after being released,

but at the same time, gaming videos seemed to be hard to find within the tab.

Is there a special algorithm for the Trending Tab?

We know that Creators care a lot about the Trending tab

but the reality is that it actually drives very little viewership.

The Trending tab is really meant to showcase videos that are broadly appealing

It's not really about videos that have the most views, but about what's broadly appealing to a general audience.

Think about your parents or grandparents or someone coming to YouTube for the first time.

It's really meant to showcase content that may be interesting to them.

When it comes to gaming, gaming usually has very passionate niche audiences that care about gaming content.

And the reality is that when it comes to gaming viewership, it's never been stronger than it is today on YouTube.

I would say that YouTube is probably one of the largest platforms globally for gaming content today.

Now, I'd like to ask you about live content.

Personally, I think YouTube's live content are not shown enough in search results

and less discovered by users than ordinary content.

This makes it difficult for creators who mainly present live content to be recognized or raise awareness on the platform.

Does YouTube have any plans to resolve this issue?

We can also support Live at significant scale.

Recently, El Rubius live streamed Fortnite on YouTube and it had 1.1 million concurrent users.

Last month, we live streamed Fuji Rock Festival.

That was watched by over 12 million people worldwide

So we're also operating at significant scale

The other part of your question was around the discovery of live content.

The reality is with 400 hours of content being uploaded to YouTube every minute, and a lot of live content as well

That's a tough problem, but we're always working hard to figure out how to solve it.

The discovery of live works very similarly to the discovery of VOD content

So it shows up on Search, on Watch Next, on Recommended, and on the home page as well.

It's an effort for us to try to make sure to put the right content in front of the right users at the right time.

If you live stream on YouTube, you can use special chat functions or Super Chat for your sponsors, unlike other VOD content.

Are there any other special functions for live content that YouTube plans to introduce?

So, our history with Live goes back to 2010, when we did the live streaming for the Indian Premier league,

which is a very popular cricket tournament, to a worldwide audience.

Since then we've continued to try to improve the live experience on YouTube.

Today we're actually supporting Live at a pretty large scale

and so we've actually got a great live product and we are adding new features to it.

Super Chat works great, and helps monetize live streams

and the new product that we're really excited about is Premieres.

Premieres allows you to create a VOD video and pre-schedule it for release at a specific time

and it allows your fans to come to YouTube at that time

and interact with each other and with you while they enjoy the content together

Imagine your viewers and you sitting in the same theater, enjoying the same content at the same time

Some of the new features we've added to Live are live automatic captions, live chat replay,

and we made it really easy for Creators to go live at the touch of a button.

either on their PC or mobile device.

Now, let me move on to the issue of copyright and monetization.

Some creators say that their original videos or the creators themselves

are getting a yellow card, causing a problem in monetization.

Why is this happening?

So we've published our advertiser friendly guidelines in the Help Center to help people determine

what content can or cannot be monetized

We aren't telling Creators what content they should be creating

In fact, we value the authenticity that Creators bring to our platform

and the Community Guidelines haven't changed either.

But at the same time, advertisers also have a choice about where their ads should show up.

And they do care about brand safety and brand suitability

So as a Creator, when you're thinking about creating content,

you have to think about that trade-off—about the content that you're creating.

And really put on the advertiser's hat and think about whether or not they'd be comfortable advertising on that content.

We've also recently launched something called video self-certification

which allows Creators to tell us what's in their video

And that's going to help us also determine monetization status for those videos and improve our decisions.

Besides gaming content, a variety of content is being made by new creators.

I think this job needs to be developed into a more stable one

to encourage creators to continuously produce content and appeal to them as a serious profession.

Does YouTube have a plan for a new monetization model for creators

except for the current advertisements, Super Chat, and sponsorship?

YouTube allows Creators to connect with fans globally

and earn a living from what they're passionate about

We've created an entirely new global economy based upon that.

The fact is, even today, the majority of the revenue for Creators comes from advertising.

And when we look at ad revenues that our Creators are earning,

we've seen 50% growth in Creators that are earning more than 5 figures, year over year.

and 40% growth in Creators earning over 6 figures, year over year.

We also realize that there are additional ways in which Creators could monetize their presence on YouTube

And so we're excited about alternative monetization products like SuperChat,

and are looking to expand that to offerings such as Channel Memberships, Ticketing, and Merchandising

And we're working hard to bring those products to more and more countries on an ongoing basis.

Now, I'd like to ask you the last question about

creators, the creator community, and the improved image of YouTube and its development.

This Creator Summit is for top creators,

but does YouTube have a plan to hold other events for new and smaller creators?

So, the Youtube community, the program you mentioned was something started in 2015

focused both on off-line and online events

We're always trying to evaluate how to best support our Creators.

And today we have various programs that allow us to do that

Take for example, YouTube Fanfest Which was

something born here in Asia 5 years ago in Singapore that has now expanded to over 10 markets.

We've got YouTube Spaces both in Tokyo and Mumbai, India

And we've taken that concept and created something called Pop-Up Spaces

and we've brought those to 8 different countries across Asia.

Programs like Pop-Up Spaces and Next Up really allow us to help upscale our Creators

And in addition to that we do a lot of Creator educational workshops as part of these events

We do a lot of Creator educational workshops in general to help build the Creator community

And on top of that, we've got a lot of online resources.

Recently we've created social handles both in Japan and India to help interact more with our Creators

We're putting a lot of information in the Creator Studio dashboard

We're putting a lot of news and relevant information for Creators because that's where they spend a lot of time

So, the effort to make sure that we're educating

our Creators, up-leveling our Creators, and building the community is an ongoing effort for us

and we have a lot of different programs that we continue to evaluate and expand to different markets

And all of these efforts are actually proving to be very fruitful.

If you Think about FanFest as an event

I think the first one we did in Korea was 4 or 5 years ago.

And I think a lot of the talent we had on stage was not local talent.

And if I now go to the FanFests we're having in a lot of our local markets,

the reality is that what you see is a lot of local Creators on stage.

I think that proves that a lot of the effort that we've made in building the Creator community here across Asia,

is really showing some amazing results.

With YouTube growing to have more influence,

it seems there are some side effects.

For example, trending videos can sometimes be problematic.

Fake news, provocative content, or anti-social videos against public interest

are oftentimes included in the Trending Tab

This raises concerns about the YouTube environment being increasingly contaminated.

Does YouTube have a solution to this?

Our recommendations engine was really meant to address most of our use cases on the main app.

and when it comes to content like news, we don't always necessarily get it right.

but news and authoritative news is something extremely important to us

we're working hard to make sure that we address that issue.

So, one of the products that we've recently launched is the Breaking News shelf.

So if there's an event that's important for a particular market,

then on the Homepage you'll have it on the Breaking News shelf.

which contains only authoritative news sources

which are pre-approved by the Google News team

This is an area that we care a lot about and we want to make sure that

we're taking those authoritative news sources putting them in front of more of our users

I completely agree that there are certain categories of content that we don't think belong on YouTube

So, extremism-related content, content that endangers children, content that incites violence, pornography...

we've invested a lot of resources, both on the technology and human resources sides

to make sure that content doesn' t stay on YouTube and show up there

We released a transparency report that showed that

in Q4 of 2017 we deleted 8 million videos

using machine learning and the teams that we've built as part of our trust & safety organization

Okay, this is my last question.

Now a creator is being recognized as a serious profession.

And many creators are making efforts with a sense of responsibility to have a positive influence on society.

I'd like to ask you whether YouTube has any plans to work together with creators to promote the public good?

We completely acknowledge that Creators have tremendous influence and connection with their fans

and in a lot of instances they use that to drive positive change

and are very passionate about certain causes that they want to support

So we've got a program called Creators for Change that we're very excited about

and we've got several Creators from Asia participating in that

We also think that there's opportunity for us to create products

that will allow Creators to be able to raise funds for cause that they support

That's something that we're taking very seriously and hopefully we'll be able to bring it to life soon

Now, we've had Gautam Anand with us today, who is responsible for YouTube partnerships across Asia Pacific.

I hope this was helpful for all our creators and related parties.

Thank you so much.

Thank you for having me. I do have something for you as a gift to show our appreciation.

Let me check.

Uhm, what is this? It looks like a watch.

It looks like a special watch, and I'll definitely try this on at home.

And here's also a postcard. Did you write it yourself?

It reads 'To Dotty' and I can't actually read it right now, but I'll take it home and decipher it.

There's a saying 'You scratch my back and I'll scratch yours.' So we have prepared a gift for you.

These 'Dotty' character products, made possible thanks to YouTube, are for you, Gautam Anand.

Yes, this is a Dotty doll. Yes, it's me.

My seven year old will love this. This is great.

And these are clothes. You can wear them as pajamas,

and this is a cup.

You can use it when drinking coffee or green tea.

So thanks to being a YouTube creator, I've had a chance to make various goods

and communicate with a number of people.

I hope that YouTube develops into a much better ecosystem

so that more creators and related parties can happily create content in a happy world.

Thank you so much.

This is great, he really knows how to promote himself. Subscribe to his channel!

Arsenal's head of football reveals January transfer window plans - Duration: 2:37.

Arsenal's newly-appointed head of football Raul Sanllehi has refused to rule out the club dipping into the transfer market in January to improve Unai Emery's squad

Although he admits that he isn't a fan of conducting business in the winter window

Sanllehi was confirmed in his new role last month when it was announced that Gunners chief executive Ivan Gazidis will be leaving north London for AC Milan at the end of October

The Spaniard - who left Barcelona to join the Gunners in February this year - has been joined in a new role by Vinai Venkatesham, who has taken on the position of managing director

And in an exclusive interview with BBC Sport's David Ornstein , Sanllehi says that the Gunners will have "a whole team of professionals constantly analysing what's in the market" ahead of any potential move that Unai Emery wants to make

"I'm not a strong believer of the winter window, normally it's used for emergency cases when things are not going the way you planned in the summer window," said Sanllehi

"That doesn't mean we're not going to use it, I don't know yet, it's early in the process

"If things go as planned, the winter window should not be as relevant as the summer window

"First we need to know what the needs could be, what opportunities are in the market

We're not actively looking into that.  "Of course we're always watching the market, we have a whole team of professionals constantly analysing what's in the market, what opportunities could be there, also our head coach analyses what needs he may have

"We have not reached a point where we've decided whether we are going or not for the winter window

"But it will always be a decision according to the needs we may have."

Chelsea vs Man Utd teams: Mourinho makes Sanchez decision, Sarri picks Morata over Giroud - Duration: 3:07.

Chelsea and Manchester United lock horns at Stamford Bridge today - and both Maurizio Sarri and Jose Mourinho have been exchanging pleasantries before the showdown

Sarri defended Mourinho from criticism, saying: "We are talking about a coach who has won everything

He has won everywhere. So I think that I have to respect him.  "But I think you also all have to respect him

" Sarri also believes United have the strongest squad in the Premier League - even more so than Manchester City

"Maybe player by player they have the best team in the Premier League," Sarri said

"At the moment I think Man City are a better team but player by player they are very strong

" Mourinho is returning to Chelsea for the fourth time since succeeding Louis van Gaal as United boss two years ago

And the Red Devils manager has revealed he will not go overboard should his side emerge from west London with all three points

"For me it's another game," Mourinho said.  "Would I celebrate like crazy my team's goal at Stamford Bridge or my team's victory? I don't think so

"I think I would try always to control myself and to respect the stadium and the supporters that were my supporters for many years

"It's a match I want to do well for my players, for my team, for my supporters. "I'm 100 per cent Manchester United tomorrow

No space for anything more than respect."  Chelsea team: Arrizabalaga, Azpilicueta, Luiz, Rédiger, Alonso, Jorginho, Kovacic, Kante, Willian, Morata, Hazard

Subs: Caballero, Cahill, Zappacosta, Fabregas, Barkley, Pedro, Giroud. Man Utd team: De Gea, Young, Lindelof, Smalling, Shaw, Mata, Matic, Pogba, Rashford, Lukaku, Martial

Subs: Romero, Bailly, Darmian, Andreas, Herrera, Fred, Sanchez.

Thoughts On Finnish Autumn (Engl. subt) (HD) 🍁 - Duration: 2:57.

Autumn in Finland is like three seasons combined...

There's the crispiness of an early spring,

yet the warmth of the summer past, but everything is in a new color it's autumn

foliage. Naturally, autumn means different things to everyone.

May I show you what it means to me?

First of all, it's about, passion, inspiration and doing

what I love, like, dancing in the rain.

It's a mysterious time when summer is slowly

fading away and that makes autumn a farewell.

But if anything it's time for

self-examination. As the days get shorter, darker and much colder I find myself

thinking more often. Just wondering and questioning...

and after a hectic summer it

feels great to have the time to just think.

Autumn can be seen as letting go too, but it's not like everything is dying

around you. In fact, it's just a new beginning. Look at it this way,

The next season is already knocking at the door and eventually a whole new year is to start

So, it's not a permanent letting go

Everything will once again come back to you.

I've learned to love this season.

It used to be my least favorite, but now every season, including autumn,

seems to go too fast, somehow unexpectedly

So autumn is a bunch of beautiful things and one can find a lot of harmony

and meaning in it.

Tell me, what does autumn mean to you?

Feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section,

And make sure, to have a beautiful day

Tonga fightback falls short against Kangaroos in historic rugby league Test match, video, highlights - Duration: 4:17.

The 26,214 crowd prayed for a Tonga comeback - and it almost worked. But the Kangaroos proved why they are world champions by overcoming a determined second half Tongan push to prevail 34-16 in their historic Test match

The Mate Ma'a were behind by 20 and had forced the Kangaroos into a fourth straight line dropout when the sellout Mt Smart Stadium crowd broke into hymns

And their prayers were answered when Solomone Kata crossed, instantly reviving memories of that near upset of England in their World Cup semi-final last year

However, that was as close as the rising powerhouse got as James Tedesco restored the Kangaroos' lead in the 64th minute and effectively sealed victory

It was the contest Tonga - led by former Kangaroo Andrew Fifita - had been calling for since just falling short of a World Cup final on the same ground in 2017

And the fans turned out in their droves, with thousands lining up hours before kick-off to produce a sea of red and create a memorable atmosphere in Auckland

Unfortunately for the Tongan throng, their side started slowly.A David Fusitu'a error in just the third minute was a sign of things to come, and an early shoulder injury to halfback Ata Hingano didn't help either

A stray Siliva Havili pass bounced for Daly Cherry-Evans to race 35 metres and post first points, Tom Trbojevic then nailed the first leg of his double

The stunned crowd momentarily roared to life when Tevita Pangai Junior - arguably Tonga's best - rampaged through a gaping hole in the 16th minute

But the steady flow of turnovers continued with Fifita's error from the restart.Trbojevic grabbed a second and Valentine Holmes crossed twice - the latter resulting in a possible eight-point try after Pangai Junior was reported for dangerous contact

Pangai Junior struck Holmes in the head with a boot as he scored, but the Cronulla and Queensland star could only land a penalty in front of the posts after he missed an angled conversion

The bonus kick allowed the Kangaroos to lead 30-10 at half-time.Holmes' brace extended his record to 17 tries in just 13 Tests - he joins Michael O'Connor and Wendell Sailor in 12th on the list of the Kangaroos leading try-scorers

Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga said his side had shown marked improved a week after being upset by New Zealand on the same turf

Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui is convinced his stuttering, goal-shy team can turn things around and have a season to remember as he prepares for a vital La Liga game at home to Levante

Real are fourth in the standings after eight games and only two points behind surprise leaders Sevilla

Lopetegui is feeling the heat after four games without a win in all competitions in which his side have failed to score - their longest run without a goal since 1985

"I have full confidence in the squad I have and I'm convinced we're going to bounce back

There's a long way to go this season and I'm sure we're going to be in a very strong position at the end of the road," Lopetegui said

"I'm sure that we're going to put in some great performances and have a great season

" Against Levante, Lopetegui will be boosted by the return of playmaker Isco and influential defender Marcelo, with right back Dani Carvajal the only player ruled out through injury

Stories that Lopetegui is under increasing pressure at Real continued to circle during the international break, with Italian media reporting that former Chelsea coach Antonio Conte is being considered as his replacement if Real's poor results continue

Lopetegui, however, feels he has the support of the club. "I feel absolutely supported, I'm calm and focused on my work

I don't listen to what people outside say, I am only focused on getting the team to play well again," he said

"The demands here as high as anywhere and I know that the team can hit top form again

You just have to believe and keep trying. For now, we're only focused on the game with Levante
