Accounting for Beginners #93 / How does the Journal Entry Balance ? / Assets = Liabilities + Equity - Duration: 7:32.

yo yo yo CPA strength here back with another video back with my classic

series can you believe it we're up to 93 counting for beginners number 93 of the

classic series hope everything's looking ok I haven't done one of these in a

while I had to look 92 to see what my setup was can you believe that

anyways let's let's let's get into this if you are new here there's a couple

things well thanks for being here if you're old here thanks for watching you

know if you could leave a like if you liked the video or you just leave it now

leave a comment really helps my channel and really fires me up to make more

videos first let me show you this playlist over here this is the best

playlists in the world this is the best accounting playlist in the world really

full of videos this has helped thousands of thousands of people so check this out

please if you want to support the channel watch the playlist share the

playlist share this channel I don't have anything for sale I'm just trying to

give away the knowledge help you pass the class here or or get a job or do do

do what you're doing really the framework the framework of everything is

why would I get a comment the other day it was beautiful common it was simply

complex method my method is simply complex DC ade ler if you don't know

what about DC a learn learn it if you're in accounting if you're trying to do

anything accounting it's so basic so you don't want to write this all time this

is this this I mean I do have a nice personality but this is why people watch

me so debit/credit acid draw expense liability equity revenue DCA blur this

is based off a question I got so thank you so much for giving me the question

probably the question was from a beginner I don't know maybe not the

questions are awesome I was like oh what a good question

like it really helps me I haven't done a video like this and it was just a good

question I'll sit down make the best video it's gonna help a lot of people so

if you have a question about something leave a comment I see all the comments

and I can see how this person who asked the question is you know is getting it

you don't just the accounting yes you kind of memorize the DC aid ler but then

you have to think about things so let's go let's go through this he said on the

video that this comment was on person left a person was to comment and I said

how does this how does this balance so the journal entry in question was I

believe we spent money on on rent or on an expense so I just have for this one

for illustration illustrative purposes spend 500 on a rent expense so our

journal entry for that would be we debit em we debit $500 rent and we credit $500

cash that's the journal entry we we had in the the the video in question which

the the awesome commenter commented on it was we had a debit we had a debit we

had a debit expense and we had a credit asset so and then he says and then he

said hey he said hey the balance sheet the balance sheets assets equal

liabilities plus equity I'm like yep that's awesome I mean this guy knows

more than some more than a lot so you know assets equal liabilities plus

equity that's the balance sheet

Devitt so is equal credits assets equal liabilities plus equity somebody said

hey if you have a debit expense and you have a credit of an asset if you have a

credit asset that means the assets decreasing in value so this would be up

over here this would be the positive side so if you have a asset decrease in

value would be a credit we have an asset decreasing in value so you would so he D

comment it was awesome comment didn't understand how if you have an asset

decrease in value then you would have to have a liability or equity also decrease

in value what a great question because yes

everything balances and yes and that's not making sense because one over the

liability and equity decreases well I do have a I do have a video on equity net

income retained earnings I think all those like around third thirty I think

or 29 I'm not sure it's an accounting for beginners playlist a part of equity

you know there's a whole bunch of different parts of assets different

different kinds of liabilities there's a whole bunch of different kinds of equity

one of the components of equity is net income and net net income is revenue

minus expenses and we had expenses reducing by five hundred dollars that's

how it comes into equal because we have on the left side assets we have less

than five hundred dollars and on the right side the liabilities and equity

side we have less than five hundred dollars so both both sides are going

down by five hundred the reason how a balance is is

because net income is a component of equity and it updates constantly on the

balance sheet so that is how it balances I thank you so much for watching this

video I like love doing these I worked all day went to the gym I was just

having the best time doing this video I know it's going to help some people that

makes me feel great yeah I'm gonna try to get you know I'm

not gonna forget I was talking to a friend today and it's like I was saying

you know I need to get more back just in the accounting videos and it's like

Yemen you get to the big show throwing fastballs and you're throwing change ups

all over the place so I'm always evolving but thanks thanks everyone

who's been watching and leaves me positive comment to how these videos

help you I've gained so much I've gained so much from making these videos anyways

tell tomorrow I'm out this is CPI strength juices

Car Versus Winter - How To Stay Safe In The Cold - Duration: 3:57.

one, two, three, four!

Rev up your engines!

It's time for the Scotty Kilmer Channel

today I'm going to give you some top tips on how to

keep cold weather from knocking your car out, now the first and most important tip

is, have your battery check, batteries are affected by cold weather, the colder it is

outside, the harder your better has to work to start the car, and keep it

running right, and since everything in the modern car is run by electricity, the

fuel injection system, the ignition system, the charging system, it's all

electronic and if your battery doesn't have enough voltage, your vehicle isn't going

to start at all, or it'll start and it'll run poorly, which a lot of people don't

really understand why, now one of my sons lives in Boston, he called me the other

day and said, oh my car it's running but all the lights are flashing on and off,

and I told him, I said, it's almost a new car, just change the battery, the

batter is crapping out, even though the battery was like a year and a half old,

they don't make batteries like they used too, they can go out at any time, so have your

battery checked, it's a very simple process, I use my Midtronics tester takes

about two minutes to check the battery and the alternator charging system, many

places like Autozone, they check them for free, go there and get a check for free,

just checked mine, as you can see, it has about 50 percent of its life left in

it, which isn't surprising because it's a three year old battery, next month it'll

be three years old, so I decide I'll leave it, because it still has half of its

life left, it's a simple process having the battery checked, because hey, if the

battery gets below a certain voltage, a lot of the computer systems will start

going haywire, the car may run, but it will run poorly and all it needs is a

battery, the next thing to check is your antifreeze,

since the antifreeze keeps the coolant from freezing, you got to make sure that

there's enough of it in there for the temperature your area gets, just suck the coolant in

and it tells you how cold you're protected to, in this case it's about

minus 45 degrees Fahrenheit, and for Texas it's certainly cold enough, just

make sure if it gets to be 20 degrees below zero where you live, that you got

coolant that goes to at least thirty degrees below zero,

and speaking of cooling system, check your hoses, squeeze them, you want them

nice and pliable, if they have a lot of cracks in them, change them now

before they blow and then you're stuck in the middle of nowhere, because yes it

might be cold outside, but your engine always runs at the same temperature

because of the thermostat, and if one of the hoses blows, the car's going to overheat

anyways from lack of coolant, and then of course, check your fan belts or to be

politically correct, serpentine belts on a modern car, your cat may not like cold

weather buy hey, fan belts don't either, if you see there's a bunch of cracks in

them like this, change it before the cold weather makes them snap, and of course

check all your fluids, like brake fluid, cold weather can make seals leak if you

start losing brake fluid, then you'll know hey, I got to find the leak in the system

before the brakes fail, and last but not least, if you do a lot of driving at

night in the winter and it's slippery and you happen to get in an accident, be

prepared for that, get one of these light flashing things and store it in your car,

they only cost a few bucks and man people are going to recognize it at night

and not slam into you if you slid in the side of the road, this particular one is

called Smart Flare and they work quite well, so now you know how to be prepared

for winter weather, so it doesn't knock your car out, and remember if you've got

any car questions visit Scotty Kilmer.com

so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to

ring that Bell!

Lizzie Velasquez: Why We Need to Take a Radical Approach to Kindness - Duration: 28:51.

Hey, it's Marie Forleo and you are watching MarieTV, the place to be to create a business

and life you love.

Now, if you ever feel different than everyone else and you suspect that that holds you back

from making the difference that you were born to make, this is the episode for you.

Lizzie Velásquez is a motivational speaker, anti-bullying activist, social media personality,

and author.

She was born with an extremely rare disease that affects her heart, eyes, bones, and prevents

her from gaining weight.

Her TEDx talk has over 13 million views, and her story has been featured on Katie Couric,

The Today Show, and The View, among others.

She's an executive producer of the award-winning documentary based on her life, A Brave Heart,

The Lizzie Velásquez Story, and her latest book, Dare to Be Kind: How Extraordinary Compassion

Can Transform Our World, is available now.

Lizzie, thank you so much for making the time to be here.

Absolutely.

Thanks for having me.

I love that, you know, we were gonna do this interview on Skype and they were like, "no,

no.

We need to do this in person."

So, first, congratulations on Dare to Be Kind.

Thank you.

I loved it.

Thank you.

I underlined so many things, and you can see my little tabs here from some of my favorite

parts.

So for anyone watching that doesn't know your story, take us back to when you were 17 and

you saw that video that changed everything for you.

Yeah.

So I was born with a syndrome that doesn't allow me to gain weight.

I was undiagnosed up until the time I was 25.

So when you're a teenager and you're in high school, all you really want is to fit

in and be cool, but adding this condition that doesn't – no matter what I do, I can't

put on a nice shirt or change my hair color and be that popular version of whatever it

was in my head at the time.

And it was hard.

It was really, really hard.

But I knew I had to sort of stop whining in a way, and figure out a way to make myself

feel better.

And so I started joining different things in high school and things started looking

up.

And my friends were great, my family was great, and it all sort of came crashing down when

I accidentally found a video someone posted of me calling me the world's ugliest woman.

And there were millions of views on it and so many horrible, horrible comments, and I

felt like I had worked so hard to get my confidence up to a certain level, and then all of a sudden

within 2.5 seconds it was just gone.

I remember watching the documentary about your life and that particular section where

your mom is wanting you to not watch it, and you couldn't pull yourself away.

And it's that feeling that I think so many of us experience when we start to hear negative

things about ourselves where there's like a deeper part of you that goes, "I shouldn't

pay more attention.

I should move away," and then there's some part of us that wants to like absorb

the whole thing.

And it's so painful.

What's funny is I didn't know everyone's, like, genuine reactions to that video until

I saw the first cut of the doc, because I didn't want to be in anyone's interview

because I wanted them to feel like comfortable and open, and then when I watched it I realized

how much everyone was hurting, but then I also realized that they had worked so hard

to put such a positive front when they were around me, so much so that years later I still

never knew that they were really hurting as much as I was.

So one of the things that you write in this book, which I love, and I highlighted this

and I wrote it down here, is that you get to decide how you want to define yourself

to the world.

And I think that this is so important not just from an external perspective, like your

brand or your business, but ourselves.

So I'm curious, how has your definition of yourself evolved over the years?

Oh, my gosh.

I feel like I'm in a whole other book every year of definitions.

I think it'll forever be changing with me.

I think with age comes experiences and wisdom and all these other little life lessons that

you sort of bring into your life without necessarily realizing it.

And I used to think that I would define myself as someone who would work really hard and

I would accomplish all the dreams and the goals that I had set for myself, and that

was it.

That was gonna be – like, that was it.

That was gonna be, you know, everything for me.

Yeah.

And now it's just so different, because now I define myself as someone who's able

to help other people, and I feel like everything else sort of just falls underneath that umbrella.

And I don't – I don't want to say it's like a label I've given myself, but it's

something that I feel is more of like a gift that has come to me.

And instead of me just like keeping it, I'm so appreciative that I'm able to sort of

give that gift away every day.

Yeah.

I mean, and your talks, from seeing the doc, from seeing your TED talk, from reading your

book, you're just an amazing force of nature.

One of the other pieces about the book that I loved was about misconceptions.

I feel like misconceptions are so prevalent in our society, and I love this story that

you told about the quinceanera.

Mmhm.

And that you were looking at your cousin's life and having certain ideas about what it

would be to live their life.

Can you tell us about that experience?

Yeah.

So my family is Hispanic and we were at my cousin's quinceanera, her sweet 15.

And there was all of these round tables in the room and I was sitting at a table with

my parents and my siblings, and in front of me I saw one of my other cousins, who were

all the exact same age.

And she was sitting with her son and her boyfriend.

And then at another table on the other side was our other cousin with her son and her

son's father.

And I was looking at them and thinking we're the exact same age.

I've always, since we were little, I've always felt like I was – I felt like our

milestones were something that we should all hit together.

Yeah.

Which looking back is just silly.

But I kept thinking, "I'm their age.

Why don't I have that?"

I'm sitting here and I feel like I'm looking into a window of their life and I so desperately

want in.

And I was just sitting there just thinking about it to myself.

And one of my cousins came over and sat down next to me and we randomly had this heart

to heart in a crazy loud room, and I told her that I was looking at them and I wanted

that.

And she was telling me "I look at your life and I see that you're traveling and doing

everything you set your mind to, and I want that life."

And it was that instant realization that the grass is always greener I guess.

Or in a way like we're always wanting what we don't have.

Yes.

And that's sort of where I think things get really tricky.

It's hard too, I feel like because both of us, you know, you make videos online, I

make videos online.

We're out there in the public, so to speak.

And everyone watching each other on social media, you can so easily just assume that

this other person's life is perfect or so much better than yours, and I feel like what

people – what we all have to realize, is like no matter who you are, what you've

accomplished, like we're human and all of us are a mess inside from time to time.

We have our strong moments, we have those moments when we want to cry.

And I just loved that story, because it was so illustrative of that very salient point.

All of us can think the grass is greener, and it's just not the truth.

Yeah.

I couldn't agree more.

So another favorite passage from the book is: "the world doesn't need you to change

yourself, to be more normal either.

What is normal, anyway?

The world needs – what the world needs is people who truly embrace differences, physical

and otherwise."

Yeah.

I mean, normal is another – I think I just have this weird thing with definitions because

I feel like I tie definitions to labels, and labels is something that I don't really like.

And I think what's most important, what I've learned in all these years that I've

been in my body and having the opportunity to go out and travel and meet people – what

I've learned is no matter what experience we've had or what language we speak, we

all have this underlying same battles that we've all had to fight together.

And acknowledging that and just listening to that I feel is way more important than

saying, "Well, why didn't you do this?" or, "I have this problem.

I have this problem.

But mine is bigger than your problem, so mine's more important."

And it's just so wrong.

Like, why can we just say "we all have these struggles, this is what's going on, let's

sort of work together to get through them."

Yeah.

And connecting on a more humanity level versus the boxes and the labels that we put ourselves

in.

Absolutely.

So this leads perfectly into the time, the really challenging time, after the documentary

when everything changed.

And you shared that "all of my dreams are coming true.

So why am I not happy?

How can I possibly help inspire other people if I can't help myself?"

I thought this was so awesome that you shared about this in the book.

Thank you.

Because once again, it's so easy to assume folks that are so inspired by you going like

"oh, my goodness.

Lizzie is so strong, she's so inspirational, she's so motivated, she's going out there,

and she's changing the world."

And yet on the inside you were having this very new struggle.

Can you tell us about that?

It's still something that like whenever I think about it and I'm talking about it

I still like get this instant feeling of like, "oh, my gosh.

I can't believe I'm talking about it."

But I want to talk about it.

Yeah.

And it is something that after I went through it I knew this was going to be the anchor

of the book.

I knew having this breakdown, what I did have it, was going to be for a reason.

And hitting rock bottom and really having – I think, you know, I think what was so

– what led to that was having the time alone to not only just like rest and recover, because

I needed like two weeks to do that.

Once that time was up, I still had so much time alone.

Documentary time was up.

Right.

Yeah.

We stopped filming.

And so I had my break of like recovering, and then I started realizing I have so much

time to just think and I have so much time to Google things or to sit down and doubt

myself.

And I was allowing myself to sort of be attacked by my own thoughts.

I knew what I was doing, but I was still letting it happen.

And it kept happening and it kept happening.

And I thought, "well, if I take one like anxiety pill that I had and I can just take

a nap and I won't have to worry about anything."

Well, while I was also filming the documentary I was diagnosed for the first time.

And finding out that I – finding out my diagnosis was a whole other thing.

But knowing that I'm – one of the biggest things that we have to keep an eye out for

is my heart.

And so knowing that in the back of my head and not fully processing that in the right

way, when I had that time to just think about things, I kept thinking, "well if this is

gonna happen why don't I just speed it up?

And why don't I not – why don't I do my loved ones a favor and not…"

Be here anymore.

Right, exactly.

I've never, ever, ever no matter what I've gone through in my whole life, I've never

had those thoughts until then.

And as soon as people started realizing what was going on, because I got dangerously good

at hiding it.

Oh, my gosh.

I was so good at hiding it.

So so good at hiding the pills or so good at hiding the depression?

Both.

Both.

I was so good at just pretending I was just fine and I was Lizzie.

And I was still posting on social media.

And I look back now and I can instantly tell that it wasn't me.

And I'm hoping that other people don't really notice that, but I can tell that it wasn't

me.

And once people started finding out, once my loved ones started finding out and it became

a thing, I instantly went into being really ashamed, embarrassed.

And that's when the guilt really hit me.

Because a movie was being made about my life, and here I am selfishly wanting to take myself

out of this world.

I love you for talking about this and I love you for putting this in the book.

Because so many people struggle with depression and they struggle with those suicidal thoughts,

and they feel so ashamed about saying anything.

And I love that you're talking about this, because that juxtaposition of like "here's

this documentary about how brave I am and my brave heart, and here's what I'm struggling

with."

And I just adore you for that.

Thank you.

And I want to also say too for everyone watching, it's like … goes back to that misconceptions

idea.

Right?

It's like putting labels on people or thinking that their lives are perfect or they don't

go through struggles because of whatever box we've put them into.

It's just not true.

And it leads perfectly into this idea of vulnerability and shattering the myth of positivity.

Tell us about the decision to post videos, kind of post this, that when you're not

happy, when you're having a tough time, how has that been for you?

You know, it's funny because I think posting videos that show my more vulnerable side has

kind of become one of my new favorite things.

And before I always thought I could never turn my camera on unless my hair was done,

my makeup was done, and the lightning was right.

Like, everything had to be great.

Yeah.

I had written down what I was gonna say, everything was so staged and planned out, when I was

really just wanting to show them my normal life.

Yep.

And I was I don't want to say censoring myself, but I was stopping myself from saying how

I really felt, because I was already thinking about what people were gonna say in the comments.

Yeah.

And I did that for so many years.

I started my channel I think at the end of 2007, so I've had it for a while, and the

journey I've gone from when I first started and feeling like it had to be perfect to now,

oh my gosh.

I'm just so comfortable and I'll just turn my camera on even when I open my eyes

in the morning.

And luckily there's no like smellovision yet.

Because it's like I'm not brushing my teeth yet and I've turned my camera on and

like talking to my camera.

But it's now become something that I find so personal.

I think it's like the new diary of 2017 is having a camera to talk to.

And I've been so nervous to show the videos where I'm not positive all the time, but

those have been the videos that have been most warmly received and welcomed more than

anything else.

And it's so refreshing.

I mean, I recently hosted one about dating.

Yeah.

I was so nervous to even record it.

And I was like "what am I doing?

Why am I talking about this?

Why do I feel shy?

Like, I'm an adult.

What am I doing?"

And after I posted it I felt like it was just so freeing to be able to open up about that

and be really, really honest.

And I was overwhelmed by the response that I got.

I can relate to this so much.

I started MarieTV back in like 2011 or so, and it was just like my webcam.

You know, it's like opening up my Mac laptop and talking.

The white one?

Yeah.

And just like there was no lighting, there was no editing, it was like crappy quality

or whatever.

And as the show has progressed I've been really proud that, you know, we can come here

and talk with you and have this great conversation.

But earlier I think it was maybe like a month or two ago I got this intuitive hit like I

just wanted to take my own camera and run around and not have the hair or the makeup

or the anything.

And all those things are great, because it allows us to actually produce stuff on a schedule

and keep things out.

But I have been having so much fun similarly like just turning the damn thing on.

And I can say this too for everyone watching, when you see so many comments and you do start

to edit yourself in advance.

Like, I'm from Jersey, so I curse.

I love it, yeah.

Like, that's just that something that I do.

And I started, you know, years ago getting notes from moms because they're watching

with their kids.

And of course I want to be respectful, so I dialed down my language.

Not to try to be a different version of me, but just to take care of more people.

But something happened when I'm just running around with my camera like – and it's

been so much fun.

Yeah.

And so anyway, I just – I wanted to relate to you on that, because I think it's hard

for anyone watching who has an idea that they want to share whether it's around vlogging,

whether it's around their own personal brand, or they just want to create art.

I think it's important to hear conversations like this from people who've been doing

it over time so they can start to see a little bit of the journey and keep watch out for

the pitfalls so they don't have to fall into them.

So let's talk about another passage that I highlighted.

"Let me be blunt.

The consequences of not finding the courage to be vulnerable are dire.

Emotional isolation, an emotional or physical breakdown, or worse, you risk becoming a hurt

person who hurts other people due to your own inner pain."

That was another one of the big life lessons I guess that I've learned along this journey

and path of things that I've done.

I used to – I've always hated confrontation.

I'm the least confrontational person.

I will run away from it.

I will avoid it at all costs.

It just makes me feel so uncomfortable.

And a lot of that was when I was younger when people would stare at me or say something

or whisper about me, and I would either hide behind my parents or whoever I was with or

I would see it and just hope no one else heard it so we could just keep walking and not acknowledge

it and just ignore it.

And all of that was sort of unknowingly me building up this resentment towards strangers

no matter what age they were, because I would think "they're being so mean."

And I would just hold that with me without realizing it.

And even if it was like when adults would do it and I would catch them, and I was this

kid looking at an adult who's saying something about me, the anger that I would get so instantly

was just like "what is wrong with you?

Look, why – you're an adult, I'm a little kid.

I didn't do anything to you."

And my parents – the way that my parents handled every situation was so incredible.

I mean, when you're a parent, I know that – well, I'm not – my kids are fur babies,

so I don't know like when…

Mine too.

… human baby, but I will do anything to protect them.

And I'm – I know for a fact that my parents always wanted to do the same thing for me.

But instead of making the other person feel bad or to call them out, they would go up

to them and say, "Hey, that's my daughter, Lizzie, would you like to tell her hi?"

And even though that was so nice, I would hate it because I feel like that was just

drawing more attention to me.

But they continued doing that as I got older.

I never, ever, ever once saw them go up and be mean to somebody else, even though I knew

deep down that's the road they probably wanted to take.

Sure.

But to be able to watch that, and then me getting older and realizing that whenever

you see a situation where there's a bully and a victim, we automatically just tend to

the victim, and the bully is just sitting there like they should be ashamed and we should

yell at them and put them in the corner and leave them there.

But how can we help this victim and how can we love them, make them feel better?

There's two parties in this situation, and the only way that we will be able to continue

to make a difference or to be able to really teach others a lesson is to realize that there

is a bully and there's a victim.

That doesn't mean one is innocent and one is not.

It means there's two people who need our help in different ways.

And that's really, really, really important to also remember that hurt people hurt people.

So if this bully is going through something at home or in school and they don't have the

tools or the resources to say "I'm hurting someone else but I'm not doing it to hurt

them.

I'm doing it because I'm hurting.

So how can I channel that in another way?"

All they see is "I'm hurting, now let me hurt someone else."

So it's really, really important for us to be able to say there are two people in

a situation.

How can we help both of them and say let's take a step back and realize what's going

on?

How can we look at the bigger picture and how can we help both of you in the same way?

It's such a big, elevated, amazing viewpoint that feels to me in my heart like the true

path to healing and to the one real way to start to unwiring, to start to unwire bullying

as a cultural epidemic.

So on that topic, feeling compassion for a bully is easier said than done, and you shared

a story in here about how you recently turned someone around who left a negative comment

on your YouTube video.

What are some of the steps?

What did you actually do?

Because I feel like it's very instructive for people, because it's so easy to feel

so hurt when someone attacks you, and then want to go right back and hurt them back.

I'll start at the beginning of this.

So back when I was younger, MySpace was the cool Facebook, and that was my first introduction,

I guess, to the social media world.

And I had to, of course, ask my parents, and the first thing they said was "we will support

you getting the MySpace account, but you have to know that there isn't always going to

be people who have something nice to say.

And if you don't think that you can read it without it really getting to you and upsetting

you, then maybe you're not ready for this account."

And I've always appreciated that, because I think for parents, and of course I'm only

speaking from my personal experience and not like as an expert, but what worked for me

was knowing that my parents weren't automatically saying no, don't do this.

They were open to it and saying "we're gonna support you doing this, but you have

to know there aren't – it's not always going to be the best thing in the world."

There are consequences.

Exactly.

Yeah.

So going into it I feel like that's always such an important start I think, especially

with younger kids.

Because, I mean, first graders have iPads and they now have access to so many people

24/7 versus when we were younger and bullying happened during the school day hours.

Yes.

Now it's 24/7.

It's when you're at home, it's when you're at school, it's when you're in

the car.

Wherever you are, you have this access to be able to type something and hurt someone

else.

And yes, as scary as it is and as dangerous as it can be, it's also a great thing.

That's a whole other thing as well.

But for me, the comments is something that I used to fear and I used to hate, and I always

felt like if someone said anything really hurtful to me, in my head I'm like, "Well,

they don't know me and they don't know my story.

And I can tell them all this stuff."

And I quickly realized that was just fighting fire with fire and nothing was going to – it

wasn't gonna accomplish anything.

Once I said those words and I press send, what would happen?

Nothing.

I would just wait for them, and then continue the battle back and forth.

Now looking at it I see it and I'm at a point personally where if I see a hateful

comment I will either do one of two things.

I will either ignore it and let it go or I'll see it and I'll say – I'll comment back

and I'll say, "I respect your opinion.

We're all – we all have this right to feel the way that we want to feel.

But here on my channel I really encourage everyone to be positive and support one another."

And nine times out of ten I get the, "Oh, my gosh.

I didn't really mean it.

I just wanted you to reply.

Hi, Lizzie.

Thank you so much."

So it's so different now versus how it would've been years ago.

But, yeah.

Yeah.

It's a really – it's a challenging thing and I love that you teach that, that you take

a stand for that, and also just that you share how you deal with it, because it's not going

away any time soon.

And I love this approach of engaging from a compassionate and yet still strong and honest

place.

Uh-huh.

So the message you wrote in the final chapter of the book really touched my heart.

It says "you play an important role in co creating a kinder future.

We can't do it alone.

It takes every one of us working together."

I know for me, I think it's just not in my nature to – you know, if I see something

that I don't care for, it's just not my taste, I tend to just click away.

You know, but I loved this idea that we can all do it if we work together.

The world that we live in right now is kind of crazy and in real life it's crazy, online

it's crazy.

And we all want this instant gratification of "I'm gonna post something and now I

want all of you to like it or say something."

Or they'll post something just to sort of stir the pot and see what others have to say

so they can just go back and forth.

And it's hard and it's dangerous and it's negative, and it's not something that we

should feed into.

But with all that being said, no matter if I say it, if you say it, no matter who says

it, it's still gonna happen.

And it's one of those things that we sort of have to learn to live with, unfortunately.

And I've always, always believed that the power of one person can move mountains.

And if you're able to stand up and say something, and you might think it is the smallest thing,

like I just whispered it to someone and you think, "Well, I did that but it's not

gonna do anything because it was just one person."

It will always, always help.

If you're able to not only stand up for yourself but also to stand up for at least

one other person, and stand up for them in a positive way, not in a mean way.

You have no idea what that road will lead to or what that legacy will look like years

and years later because you're this one person who decided to be kind to one other

person.

Lizzie, you're an amazing human.

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your schedule to talk with us today.

And I'm so excited for your future books and your future talks, and hopefully we can

Here's how Trump's nuclear "button" actually works... - Duration: 2:17.

Only a few days into 2018 and President Trump tweeted that he has a nuclear

button on his desk, that is "much bigger" and "more powerful" than North Korea's.

Except, that nuclear button? It doesn't really exist.

Instead of a button, there are two physical objects key to initiating a

nuclear attack. They're called the "football" and the "biscuit".

You may already be familiar with the football - nope, not that kind of football.

It's more of a secure briefcase. A military officer at the President's

side at all times is tasked with carrying it. Inside is a menu of nuclear

options available to the President, including possible targets and

instructions for contacting US military commanders around the world.

Next, the President would be required to consult with military and civilian advisors.

In this case Trump would include Lieutenant General John L. Dolan and Commander of

U.S. Strategic Command, General John Hyten, but beyond a few required

advisors the President can actually include whoever else he wants.

The length of this conversation and the ultimate decision to launch is completely up to

the Commander-In-Chief. If the president decides to proceed, the biscuit comes

into play. A senior officer in the war room has to verify that this command is

actually coming from the President.

Safety first, right?

So the officer recites

a code and in turn the President responds with a code printed on the

biscuit, which is actually a card that the President carries at all times.

Once the command is confirmed, it is communicated to the military personnel who will

actually launch the attack.

Finally, launch crews execute the plan.

This basically involves unlocking various safes, entering a series of codes,

and turning keys to launch the missiles. The whole process is designed to be fast,

because if missiles are heading towards the United States ,they could land within

30 minutes.

In other words if the President chose to he could order a

nuclear strike in about the time it takes to write a tweet.

Magician Dentist Repairs My Tooth in Utah! - Duration: 10:31.

all righty today is the big day leaving my hotel

room here I'm gonna head over to Four Seasons dental it has warmed up to a

balmy nineteen degrees here at 7:10 in the morning I hate the cold I know you

probably can't see in this that's too dark but this is absolutely just ice

lovely so we'll take this trip really slow about four miles away cool beans no

slipping on ice or snow let's go check in for the day so forgive me I'm still

all numbed up and everything here but my teeth are being printed

here so it's starting from one edge making my tooth it's making it out of a

purple block that starts like this and we already got the right color that it's

going to be baked to later this machine is is building two teeth

see by this diagram some others the ones that got started talk more about the

crown as well later there's the countdown till my teeth are done ten

minutes

most places have to send this out to a lab

ah the Colorado River isn't it nice I'm gonna make you guys wait till the last

possible moment to see my new tooth good morning everybody how the heck are ya I

did not film anything from the rest of the day up in Utah and I'm already back

here in I'm not in Arizona right now I'm actually in California so how we looking

up here I got my smile back I'm feeling good it's been 24 hours since I had the

last two wisdom teeth pulled as well I actually got a bunch done I also got

this tooth taken out extracted and put in a new crown here as well so my whole

front top I got a lot of work done there Four Seasons dental and I just I want to

say that worked out so well I really really appreciate the office there in

Salt Lake City and dr. Eric Smith there in his practice if y'all need some

same-day really awesome good dental service done in the Salt Lake City area

you got to check out Four Seasons Dental I will probably even be going back it

was well worth flying to another state to get everything done actually mostly I

had a really long day I had a new root canal done back here as well that's the

most painful part still here today and but then I came back right before my

flight and had the wisdom tooth pulled out on the top upper here which was also

bothering me as well so I got every minutes worth of dental work that I

could get done and I still got more to do so I do want to I do want to look at

my treatment plan and see what's going on but I'm here in Arenberg my RV has

been parked here for three days and big thanks to Joey and Carolyn for

babysitting Jax while I was gone and making sure he's good but everybody's

kind of feeling the urge to get up and try something new

right before RTR starts so a lot of the gang is going I don't really want to go

because I haven't I haven't really enjoyed much of this but I think I am

gonna follow the group where they're gonna go I want to do some laundry and

dump my tank and fill up water before we do that so yeah

there's Joey there and this is what's left of the Ehrenburg tribe today

campervan Kevin's already left Terry and Scott left and I just got to put away a

few more things in my RV there and then I'll be good to go all in all I have to

say the dental experience and everything went really well I've always had an

anxiety about dentists but wow that was just great all the numbing and

everything just made everything work really well I'm glad it's over with for

now this phase but I'm really happy to have my smile back so if you're wearing

one of my nomadic fanatic hoodies or t-shirts guys you rock thank you so much

for helping me and supporting this channel and getting me back my

confidence to film in front of the camera so here's to many more years of

awesome nomadic travels shared with you guys

you know who I am? I know, you know who I am?

did you miss me? did you miss your dad? you haven't forgot about me?

you have no idea you think you missed me I think Joey and Carolyn took such good

care of you you're like I don't even need my dad anymore

I missed you like crazy man I really really missed you

I missed you

Feel like I was expecting more of a welcome, more of a I missed you

so much dad I waited by the door all day but I don't know oh yeah? let's not do that

again for a while okay let's just let's just do RV travel

for a little bit okay where we can stay together thank you for the kiss that was

very nice

so this is my go-to spot here in the courtside Arenberg area a lot of people

use this place too because it's kind of a one-stop spot it's exit one in

Ehrenburg so we're about 16 miles west of quartzite but it's right next to the

Colorado River spot and for two dollars you can get drinking water here or for

$11 what I do you get to dump your trash and you get to use the dump station

which I've already relocked back up there and it includes water as well I

know some people just sneak in when you're here and use the dump station or

use the water but technically it's $2 if you want to get water here and then

inside there is a laundromat with really reasonable prices in there

well everybody good morning from Arizona or California right on the border Yuma

Arizona here we have a wonderful sunrise going on behind me don't know how much

the camera is actually picking it up but it is a stunning morning here as we look

east. look at that sky that is just amazing

yeah we're out here at a casino Terry's up there on the roof getting a

picture and yeah this is our this is our spot for a couple days so that was weird

this afternoon just kind of out of nowhere the entire tribe as we call it

just kind of left and not sure why but Scott and Terry and me and my friend

Andrew and Jada are here other not everybody went somewhere else down here

in Yuma so well this is our set up for the afternoon I got the TV out watches

football oh yeah so unfortunately the Seahawks lost a heartbreaking game here

it was fun to watch from Arizona but they missed an easy field goal to win

the game knocked themselves out of the playoffs we were actually watching the

other game because Carolina had to beat the Falcons in order for us to make the

playoffs so it wasn't really even in their fate still that's depressing

finished I think nine and six for a record but hey I'm still a Seahawks fan

I enjoy the game and we'll go get him next year it was nice to watch the game

with some friends Scott Terry and Andrew here and we're getting a really nice

sunset here again I cannot believe the Sun sets that are here in the south it's

amazing so we got the sunrise over here the sunset over there and it's just

morning tonight it's just amazing this is this has been really nice it's been

really nice to meet up with people so that's cool

good morning another sunny day here in Arizona actually is it ever not sunny in

Arizona this is so crazy in the wintertime

anyway I woke up today and started thinking about how to possibly go about

this because we're getting close to the RTR now and I'm I'm almost feeling a

little rushed because there are some things down here I wanted to do you know

Los Algodones Mexico access is right here

and there's some other things in California but it kind of makes more

sense to wait to do that till maybe after our RTR and do some other

California stuff because never there's lots of places I haven't been in

California so I'm thinking that I am just gonna head back up north and the

group is split up right now you know some people are other casinos some

people are at BLM land just trying to stay away until the day RTR starts so I

guessing I'm gonna meet back up with most of the tribe as we call it here on

the start and kind of find a communal spot to camp for the event itself but

there's so much going on in quartzite that I feel like I was kind of rushed

out of there so I want to get back there a day or two early and see what's going

on so today's gonna be a travel day back up north and then I'll probably come

back here for the stuff I missed and stuff that's the plan guys I'm really

enjoying this I know this probably feels a lot different than my normal type of

travel vlogs I assure you that once this season is over I have some major epic

plans underway for a pretty neat little travel segment for you so let me enjoy

my my downtime I guess you'd call it but still share this awesome country with

you and Jax and I will see in a couple days well bye

Book of James Bible Study - Part 6 - Enjoying Everyday Life - Duration: 28:34.

ANNOUNCER: THE FOLLOWING PROGRAM IS PAID FOR BY

THE FRIENDS AND PARTNERS OF JOYCE MEYER MINISTRIES.

[MUSIC]

ANNOUNCER: ON TODAY'S PROGRAM, WE'LL CONTINUE

IN JAMES CHAPTER 3, SHARING EXAMPLES OF HOW JESUS

CONTROLLED WHAT HE SAID.

HERE'S JOYCE.

JOYCE: JESUS WAS VERY CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT HE SAID.

AND I'VE GOT TWO SCRIPTURES IN PARTICULAR THAT I WANNA SHOW YOU

THAT I THINK ARE VERY INTERESTING.

JOHN 14:30.

IT WAS GETTING CLOSE TO THE TIME FOR JESUS' SUFFERING AND HIS

DEATH ON THE CROSS, AND WHO KNOWS WHAT ALL HE MUST HAVE BEEN

GOING THROUGH INTERNALLY.

HOW MANY OF YOU AGREE WITH ME THAT WHEN YOU'RE GOING THROUGH

DIFFICULTY, WHEN YOU'RE HURTING, THAT'S THE MOST DIFFICULT TIME

TO NOT SAY SOMETHING THAT YOU SHOULDN'T BE SAYING?

AND JESUS TOLD HIS DISCIPLES, "I WILL NOT TALK WITH YOU MUCH

MORE, FOR THE PRINCE, THE (EVIL GENIUS, THE RULER)

OF THE WORLD IS COMING.

AND HE HAS NO CLAIM ON ME.

[HE HAS NOTHING IN COMMON WITH ME; THERE IS NOTHING IN ME THAT

BELONGS TO HIM, AND HE HAS NO POWER OVER ME.]"

SO, IT SEEMS TO ME THAT JESUS IS SAYING TO HIS

DISCIPLES, "NOW LOOK, I'M COMING INTO A DIFFICULT TIME, GONNA BE

UNDER A LOT OF PRESSURE, GONNA BE GOING THROUGH A LOT.

AND RIGHT NOW, SATAN HAS NO PART IN ME.

HE HAS NO POWER OVER ME.

AND I'M GONNA NEED TO BE QUIETER NOW BECAUSE I DON'T WANT TO GIVE

HIM ANY POWER OVER ME OR OPEN ANY DOOR FOR HIM TO GET INTO

AND WREAK HAVOC IN MY LIFE."

ISAIAH 53:7, I OFTEN WONDERED WHAT THIS MEANT AND NOW I KNOW.

"HE WAS OPPRESSED, [YET WHEN] HE WAS AFFLICTED, HE WAS SUBMISSIVE

AND OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH."

COME ON, LET'S READ IT AGAIN.

"WHEN HE WAS OPPRESSED, [YET WHEN] HE WAS AFFLICTED, HE WAS

SUBMISSIVE AND HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH; LIKE A LAMB THAT IS LED

TO THE SLAUGHTER, AND AS A SHEEP BEFORE HER SHEARERS IS DUMB,

SO HE OPENED NOT HIS MOUTH."

YOU KNOW THE OLD SAYING, IF YOU CAN'T SAY SOMETHING POSITIVE,

JUST DON'T SAY ANYTHING AT ALL?

WELL, WE COULD ALL USE A LITTLE BIT OF THAT.

DURING THE 6 AGONIZING HOURS THAT JESUS WAS ON THE CROSS,

HE ONLY SPOKE 7 TIMES, 7 TIMES IN 6 HOURS.

AND IT TOTALED 41 WORDS IN GREEK AND 58 IF IT'S TRANSLATED

INTO ENGLISH.

IT TOOK APPROXIMATELY 1 MINUTE FOR HIM TO MAKE THESE

7 STATEMENTS SO THAT MEANS THAT FOR THE OTHER

5 HOURS AND 59 MINUTES HE WAS ON THE CROSS,

HE WAS TOTALLY SILENT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: I TELL YA WHAT, I THINK I WOULD HAVE HAD A LOT

MORE TO SAY THAN SEVEN THINGS.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

DO YOU FIND IT DIFFICULT WHEN YOU'RE ACCUSED TO JUST STAND

THERE AND NOT TRY TO DEFEND YOURSELF?

BOY, I DO.

I'M STILL WORKIN' WITH GOD ON THAT ONE.

WE WANT TO DEFEND OURSELVES.

WE WANT TO CONVINCE PEOPLE THAT WE'RE GOOD, THAT WE'RE NOT WHAT

THEY THINK WE ARE, THAT THEY'VE GOT IT ALL WRONG ABOUT US.

BUT YOU SEE, JESUS DIDN'T CARE ABOUT HIS REPUTATION.

HE LET GOD TAKE CARE OF THAT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

COME ON, SOME OF YOU ARE IN A MESS LIKE THAT RIGHT NOW.

YOU'RE BEING ACCUSED OF THINGS YOU DIDN'T DO.

YOUR REPUTATION'S ON THE LINE.

SOME PEOPLE ARE THINKING BAD THINGS ABOUT YOU AND WHAT

THEY'RE THINKING IS NOT EVEN TRUE.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO GET INTO TRYING TO DEFEND YOURSELF.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO TRY AND CONVINCE THEM THAT YOU'RE GOOD

AND THAT YOU DIDN'T DO WHAT THEY THINK YOU DID.

JUST KEEP QUIET, SERVE GOD, AND LET GOD TAKE CARE

YOUR REPUTATION.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

CAN WE RESPOND TO ACCUSATION THE WAY JESUS DID?

VERY OFTEN, HE DIDN'T ANSWER HIS ACCUSERS AT ALL.

THEY MUST HAVE THOUGHT HE WAS ONE UNIQUE GUY.

LUKE 23:9 AND 10, "SO HEROD ASKED HIM MANY QUESTIONS,

AND HE MADE NO REPLY."

YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES THE THINGS THAT PEOPLE SAY ARE SO STUPID,

THEY DON'T EVEN WARRANT AN ANSWER.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: REALLY.

AND I MEAN I REALIZE IN A CERTAIN SITUATION WITH A CERTAIN

PERSON THAT I DEAL WITH, I KIND OF GET INTO THAT BANTERING BACK

AND FORTH THAT IT JUST GETS REALLY STUPID, YOU KNOW?

AND I THOUGHT RECENTLY, WHY AM I EVEN BOTHERING TO ANSWER?

THAT DOES NOT EVEN DIGNIFY ME MAKING THE EFFORT TO ANSWER YOU.

AND I THINK SOMETIMES IF WE WOULD KEEP QUIET, GOD COULD

BRING CONVICTION.

DID YOU HEAR ME?

IF WE WOULD KEEP QUIET, GOD COULD BRING CONVICTION.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: DON'T ARGUE WITH PEOPLE ABOUT YOUR RELATIONSHIP

WITH GOD TRYING TO CONVINCE THEM TO BELIEVE.

YOU CAN'T MAKE SOMEBODY LOVE JESUS.

YOU CAN TELL THEM, BE A GOOD EXAMPLE, AND JUST ZIP YOUR LIP.

YOU CAN'T WIN EVERYBODY WITH WORDS.

A LOT OF PEOPLE YOU GOTTA WIN JUST BY BEING A GOOD EXAMPLE IN

FRONT OF THEM FOR A LONG...

COME ON, FOR A LONG, LONG TIME.

THE BIBLE TEACHES US THAT WE NEED TO BE LONG SUFFERING.

WELL, IT'S NOT LONG SUFFERING.

IT'S LOOONG SUFFERING.

"MEANWHILE, THE CHIEF PRIEST AND THE SCRIBES STOOD BY, CONTINUING

VEHEMENTLY AND VIOLENTLY TO ACCUSE HIM."

AND JESUS JUST STOOD THERE AND SAID NOTHING.

MARK 14:60 AND 61, "AND THE HIGH PRIEST

STOOD UP IN THE MIDST AND ASKED JESUS, HAVE YOU NOT EVEN

ONE ANSWER TO MAKE [ABOUT WHAT]

THESE [MEN] ARE TESTIFYING AGAINST YOU?

BUT HE KEPT STILL AND HE DID NOT ANSWER AT ALL."

YOU KNOW, WE WOULD BE WISE TO FOLLOW THE ADVICE OF JAMES THAT

WE READ THIS MORNING IN JAMES 1:19, "UNDERSTAND [THIS],

MY BELOVED BRETHREN.

BE QUICK TO HEAR [A READY LISTENER], SLOW TO SPEAK,

SLOW TO TAKE OFFENSE AND TO GET ANGRY."

HOW MANY OF YOU SAY A LITTLE BIT MORE THAN YOU SHOULD SAY ON

QUITE A FEW OCCASIONS IN YOUR LIFE?

THAT'S ALMOST EVERYBODY.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: DAVE DIDN'T RAISE HIS HAND BUT--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU NEED TO GET YOURS UP THERE TOO, CHARLIE.

SOMETIMES YOU-- [AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HA, HA.

BEING ABLE TO CONTROL WHAT WE SAY IS A SIGN OF SPIRITUAL

MATURITY AND IT'S PROBABLY ONE OF THE NUMBER-ONE SIGNS

OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY.

TO GO THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME AND NOT COMPLAIN--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: SEE, THAT HURT JUST HEARING IT, DIDN'T IT?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I LOVE IT WHEN PEOPLE DO THAT.

[GROANING]

I MEAN, JUST, YOU KNOW, JUST TO GET THROUGH ANYTHING THAT'S

CHALLENGING AND NOT COMPLAIN.

I KNOW A FEW PEOPLE THAT HAVE GOT IT MASTERED.

I'M STILL ON MY WAY BECAUSE I'M VERY VERBAL.

MY GREATEST GIFT IS IN MY MOUTH BUT IT HAS ALSO BEEN ONE OF MY

GREATEST PROBLEMS.

SO, IF YOU DON'T NEED THIS TONIGHT, I'LL JUST PREACH TO

MYSELF 'CAUSE I'M ENJOYING IT QUITE A BIT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: 1 CORINTHIANS CHAPTER 3, AND VERSE 1.

THIS IS A VERY INTERESTING THING THAT PAUL SAID.

"HOWEVER, BRETHREN, I COULD NOT TALK TO YOU AS TO SPIRITUAL

[MEN], BUT AS TO NONSPIRITUAL MEN [MEN OF THE FLESH, IN WHOM

THE CARNAL NATURE PREDOMINATES], I HAD TO TALK TO YOU AS MERE

INFANTS [IN THE NEW LIFE] IN CHRIST [UNABLE TO TALK YET!]."

NOW, WHAT DOES THAT MEAN?

OBVIOUSLY, THEY CAN TALK BUT HE'S SAYING, "I CAN LOCATE YOUR

LEVEL OF SPIRITUALITY AND I KNOW FROM LISTENING TO YOU THAT I

CAN'T REALLY FEED YOU THE MEAT OF THE WORD YET BECAUSE

YOU'RE STILL UNSPIRITUAL."

AND THEN HE GOES ON TO TALK ABOUT HOW THEY'RE ARGUING WITH

EACH OTHER, AND HAVING STRIFE WITH EACH OTHER, AND ALL THESE

DIFFERENT THINGS THAT WE LET GO ON.

NOW, AFTER WE TALK HERE JUST A FEW MORE MINUTES ABOUT

EVERYTHING THAT PAUL HAD TO SAY ABOUT THE MOUTH, WE'RE GONNA

SPEND A GOOD PART OF TIME TONIGHT TALKING ABOUT WHAT

TRUE WISDOM IS.

AND YOU'LL FIND THAT THE FIRST FACET OF TRUE GODLY WISDOM IS TO

BE PEACEFUL, TO BE PEACE LOVING AND TO BE PEACEFUL.

AND THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE IF WE DON'T LEARN SOME MEASURE

OF CONTROL OVER OUR WORDS.

HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE HAD A FAIR AMOUNT OF TEACHING ABOUT

THE POWER OF YOUR WORDS?

OKAY, HOW MANY OF YOU, THIS IS KIND OF NEW?

YOU'RE JUST LIKE, "I HAVEN'T REALLY HEARD THAT MUCH OF THIS."

LET'S SEE IF THAT'S THE CASE, YOU HAVEN'T REALLY HEARD THAT

MUCH OF THIS.

SO, IT WAS QUITE A FEW PEOPLE THAT ARE JUST LIKE... SEE?

COME ON, DON'T BE LIKE DOWN HERE.

I CAN'T SEE DOWN IN YOUR LAP.

I WANT TO--YOU KNOW?

WELL, I WANT YOU TO KNOW SOMETHING.

YOU NEED TO LISTEN WITH BOTH OF THE EARS ON YOUR HEAD AND BOTH

OF EARS IN YOUR SPIRIT BECAUSE THIS IS A VERY IMPORTANT

WORD OF GOD FOR YOUR LIFE.

SOME OF YOU CAN TURN THINGS AROUND IN YOUR MARRIAGE

IF YOU'LL CHANGE THE THINGS THAT YOU SAY.

SOME OF YOU CAN CHANGE THINGS WITH YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH YOUR

CHILDREN IF YOU'LL CHANGE THINGS THAT YOU SAY.

SOME OF YOU CAN BE PROMOTED ON YOUR JOB IF YOU'LL CHANGE

THE WAY YOU TALK.

DON'T SIT AT THE LUNCH TABLE AND COMPLAIN AND MURMUR ABOUT--WITH

EVERYBODY ELSE ABOUT THE PLACE WHERE YOU WORK.

THANK GOD YOU'VE GOT A JOB AND IF YOU'RE NOT HAPPY WITH IT,

SOMEBODY ELSE WHO DOESN'T HAVE ONE WILL PROBABLY TAKE IT.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THAT DOESN'T MEAN MAYBE YOU'RE BEING TREATED

GREAT.

THAT DOESN'T MEAN THAT YOU MIGHT NOT NEED A BETTER JOB OR YOU

MIGHT NOT WANT TO GET ANOTHER JOB BUT WHILE YOU'RE AT THE ONE

WHERE YOU'RE AT, BEHAVE.

AMEN?

"OUT OF THE SAME MOUTH COME FORTH BLESSING AND CURSING.

MY BRETHREN, THESE THINGS OUGHT NOT TO BE SO."

LET'S SHOW SOME SPIRITUAL MATURITY BY SAYING RIGHT THINGS.

YOU CAN LEARN SO MUCH ABOUT YOURSELF AND I CAN LEARN SO MUCH

ABOUT MYSELF.

YOU KNOW, SOMETIMES IF I HEAR MYSELF SAYING SOMETHING ABOUT

SOMEBODY ELSE THAT I THINK I LOVE, I HAVE TO ASK MYSELF,

WHAT'S IN THERE?

WHAT'S IN ME THAT BROUGHT THAT OUT?

BECAUSE THE WORD OF GOD SAYS THAT IT'S WHAT'S IN OUR HEART

THAT COMES OUT OF OUR MOUTHS.

WORDS ARE SO, SO, SO POWERFUL.

THERE'S SO MANY MORE THINGS THAT I COULD SHARE WITH YOU

BUT I WANT TO GO ON TO JAMES CHAPTER 3, VERSE 13,

AND I WANT TO TALK TO YOU ABOUT THE TRUE FRUIT OF WISDOM

BECAUSE A WISE MAN OR A WISE WOMAN WILL ALSO BE VERY

CAREFUL ABOUT WHAT THEY SAY.

LET ME JUST TAKE A LITTLE QUICK SURVEY AND ASK A QUESTION.

HOW MANY OF YOU--WE'LL JUST PICK ON THE LADIES FOR A MINUTE.

HOW MANY OF YOU THINK THAT YOU COULD CHANGE THE ATMOSPHERE IN

YOUR HOME BY CHANGING SOME OF THE THINGS YOU SAY?

UH-OH, WOW.

LOOK AT THAT.

WELL, WE'RE GONNA GET A LOT OF GOOD FRUIT OUT OF THIS

MESSAGE.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: HOW MANY OF YOU MEN THINK YOU COULD CHANGE THE--NO,

WAIT A MINUTE.

HOW MANY OF YOU MEN THINK THAT YOU COULD HAVE A MUCH HAPPIER

WIFE IF YOU TALKED TO HER A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY?

DAVE?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: DO NOT SIT THERE LIKE A BLOCK OF WOOD.

YOU AND MIKE ARE BOTH JUST SITTING THERE LIKE--

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: NO, I HAVE TO SAY MY HUSBAND IS SO POSITIVE.

AND EVERY ONCE IN A WHILE WHEN I WANT TO BE NEGATIVE,

AND HE WON'T BE NEGATIVE WITH ME, IT'S ANNOYING.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AMEN?

IF I'M IN A MOOD TO HAVE A FIT AND HE'S JUST GONNA TELL ME

EVERYTHING'S GONNA BE WONDERFUL, I'M JUST LIKE--WELL, YOU KNOW

WHAT I MEAN.

YOU CAN CHANGE THINGS JUST BY HOW YOU TALK.

"WELL, BLESS GOD."

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: "WHY DOES EVERYTHING HAVE TO BE MY RESPONSIBILITY?"

WELL, LET ME JUST SAY THIS, WHOEVER DOES THE RIGHT THING

FIRST IS THE MOST POWERFUL PERSON.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: WHOEVER DOES THE RIGHT THING FIRST IS THE MOST POWERFUL

PERSON.

NOW, WISDOM IS TO BE SOUGHT AFTER.

AND I DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET INTO PROVERBS BUT, BOY, PROVERBS

IS SO POWERFUL ABOUT WISDOM.

IT'S REALLY THE BEGINNING OF A BLESSED LIFE.

AND IF YOU DEFINE WISDOM, I'VE HEARD IT SAID THAT IT'S THE

PROPER USE OF KNOWLEDGE, WHICH THAT'S VERY TRUE BECAUSE IT

DOESN'T DO US ANY GOOD TO KNOW ANYTHING IF WE DON'T USE IT

PROPERLY.

SOMETIMES PEOPLE HAVE GOT SO MUCH KNOWLEDGE THAT IT ACTUALLY

STEALS THEIR FAITH AND CAUSES ALL KINDS OF PROBLEMS IN

RELATIONSHIPS.

BUT I HAVE MY OWN LITTLE DEFINITION OF WISDOM AND I THINK

IT'S FAIRLY ACCURATE AND SO I'LL JUST GIVE YOU WHAT I THINK

WISDOM IS.

I THINK WISDOM IS TO DO NOW WHAT YOU'LL BE HAPPY WITH LATER

IN LIFE.

I THINK WISDOM THINKS THINGS THROUGH BECAUSE IF YOU READ

PROVERBS, WISDOM INVOLVES PRUDENCE, WHICH IS GOOD

MANAGEMENT.

IT INVOLVES DISCERNMENT, WHICH MEANS THAT WE LOOK BEYOND

JUST THE SURFACE OF THINGS INTO THE DEEPER MEANING OF MAYBE

WHAT'S GOING ON.

YOU SEE, A PERSON WHO HAS NO WISDOM WILL DO WHAT WE SAID THIS

MORNING WE SHOULDN'T DO.

THEY'LL SEE SOMEBODY THAT'S NOT LIKE THEM OR MAYBE LOOKS WHAT

THEY WOULD THINK IS A LITTLE ODD AND THEY SIZE THEM UP AS BEING

A GOOFBALL.

BUT SOMEBODY WHO HAS GOT SOME WISDOM WILL SEE BEYOND THAT AND

ACTUALLY TAKE THE TIME TO FIND OUT THE HEART OF THE PERSON.

AND SO, WISDOM, WOW, IT'S JUST A GREAT, GREAT, GREAT THING

TO STUDY.

BUT NOW IF WE LOOK AT JAMES CHAPTER 3,

BEGINNING IN VERSE 13, IT SAYS THAT, "WHO IS THERE

AMONG YOU WHO IS WISE AND INTELLIGENT?

THEN LET HIM BY HIS NOBLE LIVING SHOW FORTH HIS [GOOD] WORKS WITH

THE [UNOBTRUSIVE] HUMILITY [WHICH IS THE PROPER ATTRIBUTE]

OF TRUE WISDOM."

SO, FIRST OF ALL, A PROUD PERSON,

A PERSON WHO IS HAUGHTY, AND WALKS IN PRIDE AND IS FULL

OF HIMSELF, AND THINKS HE'S BETTER THAN OTHER PEOPLE, AND

SMARTER THAN OTHER PEOPLE DOES NOT HAVE ONE DROP OF WISDOM.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THANK YOU.

"IF YOU HAVE JEALOUSY AND (ENVY) AND CONTENTION," WHICH IS

STRIFE, "(AND SELFISH AMBITION) IN YOUR HEARTS, DO NOT PRIDE

YOURSELVES ON IT AND THUS BE IN DEFIANCE OF AND FALSE TO

THE TRUTH."

THAT IS NOT WISDOM EITHER.

IT'S FOOLISH TO BE JEALOUS OF WHAT SOMEBODY ELSE HAS BECAUSE

THAT'S NEVER GONNA GET YOU WHAT THEY HAVE.

THE ONLY WAY WE'RE EVER GONNA GET ANYTHING IS TO ASK GOD FOR

IT AND LET HIM GIVE IT TO US IN HIS OWN WAY AND IN HIS OWN TIME.

IT'S FOOLISH FOR US TO COMPARE OURSELVES TO OTHER PEOPLE

BECAUSE GOD IS NEVER GONNA HELP US BE SOMEBODY ELSE.

HE'S ONLY GONNA HELP YOU BE YOU.

YOU SHOULDN'T EVEN COMPARE YOUR PRAYER LIFE TO SOMEBODY ELSE'S

PRAYER LIFE.

IT WOULD BE TOTALLY USELESS FOR YOU TO ASK ME HOW LONG I PRAY

EVERY DAY BECAUSE EVEN IF I KNEW, WHICH I DON'T,

I WOULDN'T TELL YOU.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: YOU KNOW WHY?

BECAUSE I DON'T WANT ANYBODY COMPARING THEMSELVES TO ANYBODY

ELSE WHEN IT COMES TO YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD.

YOU ARE A UNIQUE INDIVIDUAL AND GOD WANTS TO HAVE A UNIQUE,

AND AN INTIMATE, AND A PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP WITH YOU.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: AND THIS IS ONE OF THE THINGS THAT IT MEANS WHEN

THE BIBLE SAYS, "WHOM THE SON SETS FREE IS FREE INDEED."

YOU ARE FREE TO BE UNIQUE.

THE WORLD MAY THINK YOU'RE WEIRD, BUT GOD JUST WANTS YOU

TO BE UNIQUE.

"BUT THE WISDOM THAT IS FROM ABOVE IS FIRST OF ALL PURE

(UNDEFILED); PEACE-LOVING."

LET ME ASK YOU A QUESTION, DO YOU LOVE PEACE?

OKAY, CAN I TELL YOU SOMETHING?

YOU'RE NEVER GONNA HAVE IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT ON PURPOSE.

I SAID, YOU'RE NEVER GONNA HAVE IT IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT

ON PURPOSE.

YOU GOTTA PURSUE IT.

YOU GOTTA SEEK IT.

AND YOU GOTTA GO AFTER IT.

AND YOU GOTTA MAKE WHATEVER CHANGES YOU NEED TO MAKE IN YOUR

LIFE AND IN YOUR BEHAVIOR IN ORDER TO HAVE PEACE BECAUSE

PEACE IS ONE OF THE MOST VALUABLE, MOST POWERFUL THINGS

THAT WE CAN HAVE.

PEACE IS CONNECTED TO GOD'S ANOINTING AND IT'S CONNECTED TO

HIS BLESSINGS IN OUR LIFE.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: PEACE.

I TELL YA, I LIVED IN THE WAR ZONE ALL MY LIFE AND I FINALLY

GOT TO THE POINT, ESPECIALLY I WOULD WATCH DAVE AND SEE HOW

PEACEFUL HE WAS AND I JUST THOUGHT, MAYBE I COULD HAVE

THAT TOO.

I GREW UP IN TURMOIL AND I STAYED FULL OF TURMOIL FOR

MANY, MANY, MANY YEARS.

IT DIDN'T TAKE MUCH AT ALL TO UPSET ME, TO OFFEND ME, TO GET

ME OFF IN A WRONG DIRECTION.

AND WHEN I GOT TO THE POINT WHERE I WANTED PEACE SO BAD THAT

I WAS WILLING TO CHANGE WHATEVER I HAD TO CHANGE IN MY LIFE IN

ORDER TO HAVE IT, I STARTED HAVING PEACE.

DO YOU KNOW THAT I FOUND OUT THAT TO FIGHT WITH SOMEBODY TO

TRY TO PROVE THAT I'M RIGHT IS NOT WORTH THE LITTLE FLESHLY

ZING I GET OUT OF IT JUST TO SAY, "I WAS RIGHT.

SEE, I WAS RIGHT."

YOU KNOW, BEING RIGHT IS HIGHLY OVERRATED AND IT COSTS YOU A LOT

MORE THAN IT'S WORTH WHEN YOU GET IT.

WE NEED TO DO A LITTLE MORE OF WHAT JESUS DID.

JUST KEEP QUIET AND IF SOMEBODY WANTS TO THINK THEY'RE RIGHT,

LET THEM THINK THEY'RE RIGHT.

AND IF YOU NEED TO BE PROVEN TO BE RIGHT, LET'S LET GOD DO

THE PROVING INSTEAD OF TRYING TO DO IT OURSELVES.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: ESPECIALLY OVER PETTY STUFF THAT DOESN'T EVEN MAKE

ANY SENSE AT ALL.

COME ON, I KNOW SOME OF THE ARGUMENTS YOU HAVE BECAUSE

DAVE AND I USED TO HAVE 'EM.

WE DON'T MESS WITH IT ANYMORE BUT--YOU GET OLD ENOUGH, YOU

FINALLY REALIZE THAT YOU DON'T HAVE ANYMORE DAYS TO WASTE BEING

MAD OVER SOMETHING STUPID.

HOW MANY OF YOU HAVE EVER ARGUED OVER WHICH DIRECTIONS TO TAKE TO

GO SOMEWHERE?

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: AND DON'T EXPECT HIM TO STOP AND ASK FOR DIRECTIONS

BECAUSE HE WON'T.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: THAT'S NOT A MALE TRAIT.

THEY CANNOT ASK FOR DIRECTIONS.

MY GOODNESS, SOMEBODY MIGHT THINK THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT

THEY'RE DOING AND THAT WOULD BE TRAGIC.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: WHOO!

JESUS.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: WISDOM.

MORE WISDOM COULD SAVE A MARRIAGE.

PEACE IS SO WONDERFUL.

VERSE 15 SAYS, "[SUPERFICIAL]

WISDOM IS NOT SUCH AS COMES DOWN FROM ABOVE, BUT IS EARTHLY,

UNSPIRITUAL (ANIMAL), EVEN DEVILISH AND (DEMONIACAL]

FOR WHEREVER--" NOW, I WANT YOU TO LISTEN TO

THIS 'CAUSE THIS IS GOOD FOR YOUR HOMES.

"FOR WHEREVER THERE IS JEALOUSY (ENVY) AND CONTENTION," WHICH IS

STRIFE, "(RIVALRY AND SELFISH AMBITION), THERE WILL ALSO BE

CONFUSION (UNREST, DISHARMONY, REBELLION) AND ALL SORTS OF EVIL

AND VILE PRACTICES."

CAN I JUST SAY MOM AND DAD, IF YOU'RE GONNA HAVE A HOME FULL OF

STRIFE, YOU CAN EXPECT YOUR KIDS TO BE REBELLIOUS.

[AUDIENCE APPLAUDING]

JOYCE: THANK YOU FOR THAT LITTLE BIT OF AGREEMENT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: BUT THE WISDOM FROM ABOVE.

YOU KNOW, THERE'S EARTHLY WISDOM.

THERE'S PEOPLE THAT THINK THEY'RE WISE AND THAT THEY KNOW

SO MUCH, BUT WE LIVE BY A DIFFERENT KIND OF WISDOM.

HERE'S AN EXAMPLE, I HAD A MAN HELPING ME WITH MY TAXES ONE

TIME THAT TOLD ME I WAS GIVING TOO MUCH MONEY TO THE CHURCH.

WELL, SEE, HE DIDN'T HAVE THE WISDOM I HAD.

MATTER OF FACT, HE TOLD ME, "IT'S NOT WISE."

AND I THOUGHT, "WELL, YOU JUST DON'T GET IT.

IT'S THE WISEST THING THAT I DO."

AND THERE'S SO MANY THINGS LIKE THAT IF WE'RE GONNA HAVE TRUE

WISDOM, THE GOD KIND OF WISDOM.

SEE, IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO THE NATURAL MIND TO FORGIVE

YOUR ENEMIES.

IT DOESN'T MAKE ANY SENSE TO THE NATURAL MIND TO NOT TRY TO

DEFEND YOURSELF WHEN SOMEBODY FALSELY ACCUSES YOU.

BUT WE HAVE ANOTHER EXAMPLE, HIS NAME IS JESUS AND WE GET TO NOT

ONLY BELIEVE IN HIM, BUT TO FOLLOW HIS EXAMPLE AND HAVE

THE BEST LIFE THAT WE CAN POSSIBLY HAVE.

JESUS SAID, AND IT'S RECORDED IN JOHN 14, "MY PEACE I LEAVE WITH

YOU, NOT AS THE WORLD GIVES DO I GIVE UNTO YOU.

MY OWN SPECIAL PEACE I NOW GIVE AND BEQUEATH UNTO YOU."

SO, STOP ALLOWING YOURSELVES TO BE UPSET AND DISTURBED.

HOW MANY OF YOU WOULD BE WILLING TO ZIP YOUR LIP IF IT MEANT THAT

YOU CAN SAVE A DAY OF UPSET?

YOU GOT YOUR HANDS UP.

WE'LL SEE THE NEXT TIME SOMEBODY SAYS SOMETHING WHAT HAPPENS.

LORD, PLEASE DON'T LET ME GET TESTED ON THIS MESSAGE TONIGHT.

[AUDIENCE LAUGHING]

JOYCE: I'M SORRY.

I JUST FELT THE URGE TO PRAY.

JOYCE: WELL, BY LEARNING TO CONTROL WHAT WE SAY AS JESUS

DID SHOWS A SIGN OF SPIRITUAL MATURITY AND IT CAN YIELD GREAT

Gauss Tape Echo - Official Product Video - Duration: 2:30.

Gauss Tape Echo is designed with one thing in mind: To recreate the glorious sound of

classic tape echo tones with stunning accuracy.

But as great as we can all agree they sound – very few guitar players actually own one…

and even fewer use them live.

They're expensive, hard to come by, are fragile and pretty clunky to haul around.

Enter Gauss Tape Echo.

With this stunning stompbox you get authentic tape tones in spades without any of the drawbacks.

Gauss is built like a tank and is available around the world at your favourite TC dealer

at a price that is almost too good to be true.

But most importantly – the tones. The tones are all there,

from the natural EQ curve and saturation of the tape

that make the delay repeats blend perfectly with your dry signal

to the subtle wow-and-flutter and over-the-top oscillation

that is guaranteed to take your tone to a whole other dimension.

Pep Guardiola's title victory with Barcelona B should not be ignored - Duration: 12:45.

Pep Guardiola's title victory with Barcelona B should not be ignored

Pep Guardiola is often criticised for only winning at the highest level with the worlds best players. But his coaching career began with promotion from the Spanish fourth tier.

Adam Bate talks to members of that Barcelona B squad to discover the roots of his success….

When Pep Guardiola was asked recently whether he had ever doubted his philosophy, the answer surprised some. Perhaps he would refer back to the testing times of last season, when Manchester City conceded four at Leicester and Everton.

Maybe losing his first league game in charge of Barcelona was the moment that caused him to question his methods. Instead, Guardiola recalled the first coaching job of his career.

After losing his first friendly on a small artificial pitch against Banyoles, his Barcelona B side opened up with one win from their first three matches in Spanish footballs fourth tier.

The whispers began and the Catalan media were not the only ones wondering whether he was cut out for the job.

On Monday I thought I had to change because we could not play in that way, he said of the week that followed the third of those games, a 2-0 defeat to a tiny Manresa side who were relegated at the end of that season.

I arrived Tuesday and I said we have to change because the pitches are so small. It was so good because we were champions in the end.

In that moment I said if we were able to win and play quite good football on a small pitch, I could do it at a higher level with better players and better pitches. I doubted for two days.

It was an important moment because I was new, I was not experienced. Aged 37, never trained with big players. I had many things I believed but I had to prove myself.. It is easy to overlook that season.

English football is unfamiliar with the B team structure and because of that it is customary to regard Guardiolas ascent to the role of managing Barcelonas senior side as the real start of his coaching career.

But this was not the same as, say, Steven Gerrards role within Liverpools academy team. This was competitive football.

What I was as a player is gone, said Guardiola in his opening press conference. As a coach I am nobody and I am starting from zero.

Only winning will bring me credibility. The priority here is to continue producing first-class footballers, but if I do not win, if we do not achieve promotion, then I will not be allowed to continue here. That is the way things are..

The team had been relegated the previous season, failing to win any of their final 10 games. Things were stale and there was disbelief that Guardiola even wanted the role - turning down the more prestigious position as head of the academy.

Luis Enrique and Eusebio have since used the job to progress their careers but that was only viable after Guardiola.

He disbanded the C team and merged the two groups. He allowed a limited number of older players to join the squad and brought added professionalism.

In-depth opposition scouting, practically unheard of at that level, became commonplace. It quickly became apparent that the B team was better run than Frank Rijkaards first team.

Ten years on, it is the attention to detail that stands out for the players who formed part of Guardiolas first squad. He was different to anyone before, striker Sergio Urbano tells Sky Sports.

It was noticeable when he talked about the game, but above all it was noticeable in the way that he transmitted ideas, how he lived and breathed football and understood it..

Dimas Delgado, a midfielder who was one of the senior figures in the squad, turning 25 during the season, agrees. He had very clear ideas and he was fantastic at explaining them, Delgado tells Sky Sports.

He explained himself so clearly. Every player in the team understood their job and the plan for how to win every game. I think this is his secret..

It is a difficult balance to get right. As a football obsessive, Guardiola immersed himself in the detail.

But, especially dealing with such young players, he had to keep the messages simple. Gai Assulin, an Israeli winger who later signed for Manchester City, recalls as much.

I remember that the videos were never longer than 10 minutes, Assulin tells Sky Sports. He knew that the players would disconnect after 10 minutes. But he used to have a lot of information for himself.

I remember that he used to arrive at the stadium hours before the players and leave hours after the players.

He put in a lot of preparation himself before games but he never made the mistake of giving too much information to the players..

After the defeat to Manresa, Guardiola called his former coach Johan Cruyff for advice and made some tweaks to the team. They promptly went on an eight-game unbeaten run.

There was experimentation, with a young Sergio Busquets sometimes used in a more advanced role, and regular debriefs with his mentor Juanma Lillo too. But there were also dips, particular away from home on poor pitches.

Two up at Masnou in December and seemingly set for a first away win in four attempts, they had to settle for a 2-2 draw against the team that would go on to finish bottom.

But the players won the next four, topped the table and won the play-offs to earn promotion.

They are cherished memories. It was definitely the best time of my career, says Assulin, who was capped by Israel as a 16-year-old during a campaign in which he netted 10 times.

It was not just the goals, I really enjoyed playing under such a great person. He was very close to all of the players. I think that is one of the reasons why we gave everything for him.

Everyone enjoyed the style of play. He gave us a lot of freedom. He expected a lot from us but he never put us under too much pressure. He wanted us to show our quality.

We knew that the results sometimes might not come. But the way of playing was perfect for us because it is about having the ball most of the minutes of the match..

Urbano endured a tougher time through injury, but credits Guardiola for his support. He was always attentive about how I was mentally and physically, he says.

My memories of playing in that team are ones of joy, having fun with the ball in difficult situation on small pitches. We knew that we had to be the protagonists. We defended by keeping possession.

It was strange because the pitches were very small and it was believed at the time that it was impossible to play football on them.

But Pep and his concepts made us believe that it was possible to play football on the floor. Crucially, it helped Guardiola believe it was possible too. No wonder he was convinced that it could work in England as well.

In his second season in the Premier League, Guardiola has guided Manchester City to 62 points from their opening 22 games. They are unbeaten and 15 points clear.

The question of whether such methods could succeed in English football has been answered emphatically. And yet, the criticism has morphed into something else.

The argument now is that he requires vast funds to achieve it. Jose Mourinho complains that even Manchester United cannot compete financially.

Others point out that getting world-class players to perform well is one thing, but how would Guardiola cope if he had to do it in the lower leagues with lesser players and shorn of his huge transfer budget.

It is easy to see why the young men who helped set Guardiola on this path, the players who delivered the trophy that the man himself described as one of the biggest joys I have experienced as a sportsman, do not subscribe to the view held by their old coachs critics.

The truth is I do laugh about it, says Urbano, who last played for Biggleswade United. Many players can be good, but the point is that Pep makes them even better tactically. Manchester City shows this.

They have another style of play under Pep with players who were already there previously. They have acquired more concepts of the game thanks to Pep. He has made them smarter. For me, the great example of that is Raheem Sterling..

Delgado, who now plays in India with Bengaluru, believes Guardiolas success with City was just a matter of time. Trying to get ideas across to new players in a new country, it takes time, he explains.

Everything in life takes time. Time to understand and to implement. But as soon as the players take on board his ideas then everything works.. Assulin, now with Sabadell in Spains third tier, also picks out Sterling to make his point.

You can see that there are a lot of players at City who were not so successful before but once they start working with Pep they improve, he adds. Just look at Sterling.

He wasnt at this level before but now he is exploding because this type of style makes him play so good.

City are one step ahead of everyone because of their philosophy. I think it is amazing. You can see that in all of the teams he has coached in the way they play. It is something that is not normal.

Yes, City have a massive budget but so do other teams and it does not work because the manager doesnt give the right messages and players dont give 100 per cent.

So thats not why they are doing so well. The reason is that his philosophy works.

Every team that he trains with this philosophy will be very attractive and have 80 per cent of the ball, so they will have more chances to win the game. That is why they are winning.

They are putting everything on this philosophy and I really believe this is the best way to win..

How Often Should You Weigh Yourself - Duration: 2:52.

I get this question a lot from women especially and it's how often should you

weigh yourself. So stay tuned for the answer...

Hi Welcome back to the Shape It Up channel!

My name is Nicole and we're talking about the scale today...

I really don't like the scale...which I'm sure most women don't.

I do use the scale when I assess my clients because

it is part of the big picture but it isn't the whole picture.

I feel bad for a lot of women who are so fixated on the scale.

It is just a number. It is literally gravity pulling on your body that is it.

You do not have any self-worth tied to that scale.

So how often should you weigh yourself?

I think it really depends on the person.

If you are mentally "okay" with weighing yourself daily... go for it.

But if you get on that scale and it's not the number that you wanted to see and it's up

and now your day is ruined...

then I say don't get on the scale.

if you're that attached to the scale

honestly I wouldn't weigh yourself at all.

I would go by measurements or I would all get a pair of tight jeans and put them on.

Use that as a measurement.

There are some people who weigh themselves daily and then you can take the average of the

seven days. That's a good way to figure out what your weight is.

And realistically speaking if you're weighing yourself first thing in the

morning when you haven't eaten anything there's no water in you...

you're in your birthday suit ...

you're gonna be a lot lighter.

Whereas if you weigh yourself at night you may be heavier at night because

you have food in your stomach. There may be a little bit of swelling if you're

standing on your feet all day...little things like that.

You really want to be obsessive you can weigh

yourself in the morning and at night and then take the average of that two.

I really don't think it's necessary because women also fluctuate so much in pounds

depending on what time of the month it is you could go up easily a 5 pounds so

keep that in mind. I mean there's certain foods like salt and sugar that will puff

you up if you're not drinking enough water or if you over did it on the

sodium or the sugar that day

My answer is... is you have to do what's right for you.

If you find that you are really attached to the scale and it's

affecting your life... is affecting you emotionally then don't get on the scale

there are so many other different ways that you can see if you're progressing

so I want to know what you think about the scale.Go ahead and comment below and

I can't wait to hear from you!

Thank you again for taking time out of your day to come hang out with me.

Remember to Get Fit ...Be Fierce and Have No Limits!

Have a great day and I will see you in the next Shape It Up video!

Japanese Urban Legend Dolls: TERU TERU BOZU - Duration: 5:22.

Today I'm going to speak about a traditional Japanese doll called Teru Teru Bozu

Today Seba is going to speak about a traditional japanese doll

the Teru Teru Bozu

it's a little doll that you hang up on the window, to drive away the rain

I'm sure that you saw it in a lot of animes!

Hello guys and welcome to a new video!

I'm here today also at the Governament palace to shoot a new video.

Well, I made videos last week and it rained...

so, today I wanted to talk about rain,

about this little japanese doll called Teru Teru Bozu, that is connected with the rain...

the sun came out, obviously...

I'm so lucky...

However I wanted to talk about this typical japanese doll - Teru Teru Bozu.

Maybe you saw it in some Anime,

it's white, it looks a little bit like a ghost and they put them in front of the doors,

it has a big head on top and the the body, it looks a little bit like Casper.

It's very easy to do with the use of some tissues.

If you want that I do a video where I do the Teru Teru Bozu, leave a comment and maybe I will do it.

It's very easy, even I can do it

So, I'm doing always my researches,

look at that! I'm a straight-A student

...

This doll is an amulet that you hang on the doors and people say that it should protect you from the rain.

There is a story of this Teru Teru Bozu on the italian Wikipedia,

it's a story that I personally never heard about, however I'm going to read it

I assure you that this is not the most interesting story behind this doll,

later on I'm going to tell you the most popular and funny ones.

There are a lot of stories...personally I trust more the Japanese sites,

but I just want to tell you also the italian version.

The use of the Teru Bozu would result from his ability to frighten Amefushi, the spirit of the rain

Amefushi is considered to be an enemy for the children, because it prevents them from playing outdoor.

Amefushi isn't in reality evil, he only needs to feel accepted by the other children, which he would like to play with

but since he brings the rain, the children push him away ("loser")

so, in that way Amefushi punishes them.

Anyway, a more interesting story...

a Japanese friend of mine told me a more interesting story

It's a beautiful story about Amefushi,

One upon a time in a far country in Japan

there was a never ending rain,

you need to know that in Japan there is the rain season that lasts 2 weeks

this divinity said to the people:

"if you're not giving me a beautiful woman in sacrifice, I will destroy your city."

I'm not sure which city was the capital at that time, between Nara or Kyoto

it's a story that has been told during different times, so, I don't know.

However they gave the woman in sacrifice,

and she died, obviously, and the divinity turned the sky back to the blue color as thank you.

Since that time, people started to make this dolls to thank that woman,

because she was a Origami fan...

The second story that I like the most

talks about a Bozu, a buddhist monk

Teru I think it means shiny - not cloudy - crystalline? Ok, I don't know.

There was another rain season,

people called this very famous buddhist monk to ask him to stop the rain.

The monk did this kind of sound (okkio), it's a melody, that sound you can find it a little bit in my song Inori (I leave you the link)

it's like this...

Every time that I listen to it, my hairstylist says that it sounds like rap - so give her the fault.

He preayed, but the next day nothing changed,

so the citizens upset said:

"we called the Bozu, he came especially here to turn the sky blue again

and we prayed the whole day, but nothing changed..."

So what did the citizens do? They cut his head off and they hang it on a white string

and so from that this tradition was born.

Last news about the Teru Teru Bozu:

never do it in black, because that brings rain,

never hang it up side down, because it brings rain,

these are the beliefs

and do that if you want that the rain stops.

I hope you enjoyed watching, if you have questions, leave a comment.

Let me know if I should do the Teru Bozu doll

See you tomorrow always at 2pm (GMT+1).

A Hawaiian Tide! 🌊🌊🌊 - Duration: 3:54.

Ah man now this years national championship was another exciting ass game.

And with the way that this one ended i'm over here wondering if the college football

committee has any more games where that came from.

I'm lowkey mad that Georgia loss.

I was really routing for the underdogs Bulldogs who have been playing scrappy all year long

to get to this point to play the role of Cinderella but all we got was another Nick Saban White

out in which one of his former assistants fell short to dethrone the King once again.

Shoutout to Georgia though.

They had a good game up to the very end of course but who thought that the game would

of played out the way it did.

Jake Fromm had a decent game no doubt.

The true freshmen who was the Bulldogs starting quarterback for the whole season was looking

cool and calm under these bright lights.

Doing his part money finished with 2 interceptions that really could of went either way but the

80 yard touchdown that he and Mecole Hardman were able to connect on later in the game

to put Alabama in a 20-7 hole was the gem of the night up to that point.

But man do I say that this game had an unexpected guest.

The homie Tua Tagovailoa was substituted into the game out of nowhere when starting quarterback

Jalen Hurts was playing ass.

And when I say this dude was balling right out the get go i mean this guy came in and

hit up Georgia's top rated defense with a TD on his first drive!

When the Georgia defense was able to adjust to the new quarterback it wasn't until later

that Tua Tagovailoa was able to shine when it mattered most.

This dude Tua just became a Alabama legend over night.

When the game was thrown into over time after a horrible missed kick the true freshman once

again shoved his foot all up in the Bulldogs ass as he connected on a bomb to Devonta Smith

to win the national championship in walk off fashion.

This dude Nick Saban is on fucking fire!

With last night's win money wins his 6th championship which now ties him with Bear

Bryant who is also an Alabama Crimson Tide legend.

And despite what we may feel about the Tide there's no denying their genius from the

play calling.

In some of the most critical moments in the last few championship games Nick Saban and

his coaching staff seem to always be one step ahead especially with a critical third down

play where they called a corner blitz to stop a predictable play from Georgia.

And when the game was in overtime Alabama called the right blitz again to neutralize

the Bulldogs final drive to force them to settle for a 51 yard field goal in which of

coarse they would follow up with the game winner!

But what you think?

Where does last night's game rank in your mind of national championships?

Are you tired of seeing an SEC squad winning it all?

Did you think Alabama won this game or do you think Georgia loss it?

All I'm saying though is with the way that Sony Michel was able to convert on a critical

early third down conversion the Bulldogs missed on an opportunity to give the monster more

than 14 carries to help Georgia win another championship in almost 30 years.

But you already know I Don't Have An Opinion, I Just Spit Faxx!
