She Had TWO Balls!?! - What Orianna Could Have Been - Duration: 8:39.
What's up guys it's me Jeremy!
Once again on What Could Have Been, we're going to be looking at a really old champion—Orianna.
Orianna on the other hand was what's called a bottom-up design; Riot started with the
mechanics and gameplay features that
they wanted to put into League of Legends, and then they figured out how to theme it.
We usually start out What Could Have Been by starting with characterization and concept
art, but since that's not really true to Orianna's development timeline, we're
going to go bottom-up too and start with her gameplay.
Riot Xypherous, Orianna's designer, commented that her entire kit had been designed before
any theme conceptualization had started.
To create Orianna's base kit, Xypherous took a relatively simple approach; he started
with Sivir's Boomerang Q, then broke it into three separate parts.
This gave him the core of Orianna's gameplay—she'd have a controllable weapon that she could
send out or return back to her.
Essentially, using QWE in a rotation with Orianna will act very similarly to throwing
out Sivir's Q, although of course with a few other benefits tied in.
Q will throw the orb out, dealing damage to enemies it passes through.
W emits an AoE slow and damages enemies around the orb, and E brings it back and adds a shield
and resistances for a little bonus utility.
In those three simple abilities, Xypherous had found a way to create a completely unique
approach to traditional mage gameplay.
Rather than slinging spells, she controls an orb that stays on the battlefield.
This is allowed Orianna players to leave their orb wherever they choose, as long as they
stayed close enough to it, giving way to the 'zone control' playstyle that allows you
to force enemy players away from specific locations on the map.
The difficult part was finding an Ultimate that fit in well with the rest of her gameplay.
Xypherous tried quite a few different things in a bid to create the perfect synergistic
Ultimate.
One of the early versions acted similarly to Orianna's E, but instead of targeting
an ally, you could attach the orb to an enemy in a similar way to Lulu's Help, Pix!
In fact, we're guessing that Xypherous liked the idea of this ability but didn't think
it was really contributing to Orianna's gameplay enough as an Ultimate, so he saved
it for a later champion as a basic ability.
He also tried one version where Orianna's orb would become a mini shock aura, although
he didn't specify whether it was an instant effect like a Blitzcrank Ultimate, or a damage-over-time
skill similar to Viktor's Ultimate.
Although it matches better with Orianna's kit than the enemy-attach Ultimate, it's
still not really impactful enough to do credit to her gameplay, and
Orianna still lacked enough crowd control to be a true zone control character.
Another attempted solution was pretty crazy—pressing R would simply give you another ball to control.
That's a pretty powerful effect, making it a strong candidate for her Ultimate, since
it would allow you to essentially double your damage output, crowd control and shielding
capabilities, giving you even more zoning capability.
Unfortunately, it was an absolute mess to control, and it would likely have given Orianna
a skill floor so high that only the very best mid laners would ever bother to use her.
The ideal solution to Orianna's Ultimate ended up being a lot more simple in it's
design—like her W, it's an AoE effect that occurs around the ball, rather than Orianna
(unless of course she chooses to attach the ball to herself).
Unlike W however, her Ultimate deals even more devastating damage, and also gives a
bad-ass black hole-like crowd control effect that sucks all enemies into the center in
a massive shockwave.
Command: Shockwave achieved a few key things: it synergized with the rest of her kit, it
gave Orianna some much needed hard CC, and it turned her into a massive threat that caused
enemy players to be extremely careful when it comes to play around her ball.
With the design of Shockwave, Orianna's gameplay was complete, and it was equally
satisfying to play as it was to play against, making her one of the most well designed champions
ever from a gameplay perspective.
With her kit complete, it was time to actually create a character that matched up with it.
The working concept up to this point was simply 'Ball Girl,' which goes to show just how
little focus had been put on characterization so far.
Riot knew they wanted the concept to be a girl, and they knew she'd be controlling
a ball.
Riot Xypherous made his own attempt at defining the Ball Girl as a fully fleshed out character,
having been inspired by Touhou Project's Hong Meiling.
Hong Meiling is a martial arts specialistic, typically wearing a dragon martial arts robe.
Xypherous used this design as a base, then added in a Chinese Dragon Orb as justification
for her ball-controlling prowess.
The theme was pretty simple, although hugely different from the Orianna we know today—as
a character, she'd essentially be a dragon reincarnated in human form, but she'd still
be the one possession of her dragon orb.
As a character concept that's pretty cool, but for unknown reasons the rest of the team
decided to move in a different direction; possibly because Riot had other ideas for
dragon champions or because they wanted to cover new ground rather than defaulting to
Eastern design influences.
The creative team and art team got together and came up with a new concept, one that would
eventually become Orianna.
The early concept art shows it pretty clearly—the new direction was Clockwork, with Orianna
being a clockwork girl controlling her clockwork ball.
In terms of bottom-up design, this provided Riot with the context for their new champion.
All that was left to do was refine her visual design, give her a name and build out her
character to create a backstory that would give player something to resonate with.
The Lady of Clockwork was finally complete, and she went on to become one of the most
successful champions in the history of League.

Democrats Aim To Strip Mentally Unstable Trump Of His Ability To Launch Nuclear Weapons - Duration: 4:16.
House Minority Leader, Nancy Pelosi, is actually out there talking about something that's really
important.
She's talking about the fact that we need to have some kind of legislation, bipartisan
legislation, that would prevent the president of the United States from being able to unilaterally
launch a nuclear missile strike.
As it stands right now in the United States, dating back to a law passed in 1946, the decision
to launch a nuclear weapon rests solely with the president of the United States.
He doesn't even have to have a reason.
He doesn't have to consult with anybody else.
He doesn't have to get approval.
He doesn't even have to tell anyone.
If he wants to launch a nuclear strike, he can do it.
Normally, in the past, it hasn't been too much of a threat.
I don't think anybody really thought George W. Bush was going to do that or Obama or Clinton
or Bush Senior.
But with Donald Trump, a man who has expressed interest in dropping nuclear weapons across
the planet, this has become a very dire issue.
Not to mention the fact that in recent weeks, report after report has come flooding out
of Washington, D.C., saying that Donald Trump's mental stability is deteriorating at a very
rapid rate.
And yet this man has the sole power to wipe out entire populations, millions of people
at a time, because he is the only one that has the authority to drop these nuclear weapons
and no one can stop him.
Well, Pelosi and the Democrats are trying to put an end to that.
They want to make it to where you have to at least consult with your cabinet members
or, more importantly, and this would be the better option, you have to get approval from
Congress.
Let's make it clear.
Pelosi has said this has to be a bipartisan effort because, yes, you have to get Republicans
on board if you want to be able to pass it.
But more importantly, we have to get Republicans on board because we need to draft a piece
of legislation that doesn't only apply to Donald Trump here.
It needs to apply to every future president of this country until the end of time.
No one person should have that kind of authority, should have that kind of power, to be able
to kill millions of people in a matter of seconds.
These weapons, first and foremost, should not exist.
We should destroy and get rid of every single one of them.
But if they're going to continue to exist, then we need a hell of a lot more checks and
balances in place than just allowing one man who may or may not be a sociopath have access
to the codes that would allow these weapons to be launched all over the planet.
Donald Trump is not mentally stable enough to be able to make those kinds of decisions.
Yet as it stands right now, he's the only one that can make those decisions.
Hopefully Pelosi and the Democrats aren't just blowing smoke here.
Hopefully, they're going to go forward, draft up this legislation, work with Republicans,
because we know they're just as scared as we are of Donald Trump launching a nuclear
attack.
Work together to put an end to this archaic system that creates a war machine in just
one human being.
This kind of power needs to be spread out among hundreds of different people.
It needs to get approval from Congress.
It needs to get approval from the Senate.
It needs to get approval from the cabinet, because at least at that point, we understand
that there could be some intelligent people in that conversation that would tell everyone,
"You know what?
Probably not a good idea to go over and destroy the lives of millions of people, destroy the
earth in that area for 20 or 30 years."
You have to think about the consequences of dropping a nuclear weapon and we know that
Donald Trump isn't the kind of guy who ever considers consequences when he thinks about
what he's going to do.

A New Idea About Tabby's Star! - Duration: 6:01.

It seems like something cool is always happening with Tabby's Star.
Back in May, we got all excited because it was dimming again — and even though we haven't
found anything out from that yet, the star is back in the news again!
According to a paper published last week in the Astrophysical Journal, astronomers might
have finally discovered part of why the star acts so strangely.
And I know what you're hoping, but it's still probably not an alien megastructure.
Those chances are dimming even more than the star is.
Tabby's Star — lesser known as KIC 8462852 — is about 1300 light-years away.
It's nicknamed after Tabetha Boyajian, who was the lead author on the first paper about it.
Since its discovery, it's been one big mystery.
We've not only seen it continually dim over long periods of time, but we also keep seeing
short, randomly-timed dips in brightness.
It's not like anything we've found in stars similar to what Tabby's supposed to be.
To explain the data, people have suggested everything from broken up comets to a massive
structure built by extraterrestrials.
Now, in this new paper, astronomers are shedding a little more light on the situation, and
they did it by collecting light.
Specifically, more types of light.
Using NASA's Spitzer and Swift telescopes and the AstroLAB IRIS public observatory in
Belgium, astronomers intermittently monitored three types of light coming from Tabby's
Star between September 2015 and December 2016.
Those are infrared, visible, and ultraviolet light.
They found that the infrared light dimmed less than both the visible and ultraviolet
light — or in other words, that the dimming depended on the wavelength!
And that gave them some clues about what could be happening.
They concluded that this difference could be from an unevenly distributed dust cloud
orbiting Tabby's Star about once every 700 days.
Each particle in the cloud wouldn't be more than a few micrometers across, because anything
larger, like a megastructure, would block all wavelengths equally.
This idea is actually similar to how sunsets get their red hues: Shorter wavelengths of
light, like blue and ultraviolet, collide with tiny particles in the atmosphere and
get scattered more than longer wavelengths, like red and infrared.
So at sunset, when the Sun is lower in the sky and sunlight has to travel through more
of the atmosphere, it's the redder light that makes it into your eyeballs.
On the other hand, when the particles in the atmosphere are too big, like with small raindrops
in clouds, all the wavelengths get blocked equally, and you get grey skies.
Now, this proposed dust cloud could explain the long-term dimming, but not everything.
Like, it doesn't address the short, extreme dips in brightness we've seen, which previous
studies have suggested might be caused by comets.
It also can't explain two brightening events — one in 2006 and one in 2014 — that another
team of astronomers may have found.
The paper hasn't been peer-reviewed yet, so we can't say anything for sure, but it
could throw a wrench into the works because astronomers have assumed Tabby's Star was only dimming.
So we might be getting close to an answer, but Tabby's Star remains a mystery for at
least a little while longer!
But speaking of astronomical mysteries, astronomers might have discovered what triggers a type Ia supernova.
According to research published last week in the journal Nature, they could be caused
by a helium nuclear explosion — which is as intense as it sounds.
Some supernovas happen when super-massive stars collapse, but a type Ia supernova happens
when a white dwarf, the remnant of an old star, gets too massive and explodes.
Usually, this happens because it's been siphoning off matter from a companion star
in a binary system.
Type Ia supernovas are a really important tool in astronomy.
No matter where in the universe they are, the light they emit evolves following the same pattern.
That means it's relatively easy to calculate how far away they and their galaxies are.
And studying them was actually how we found out the universe's expansion was accelerating!
But we did all that without actually knowing what causes white dwarfs to go boom.
Now, we might have solved that mystery.
Using the Subaru telescope in Hawai'i, an international team of astronomers scanned
a large piece of the sky, looking for baby supernovas only a few days old.
In each galaxy, type Ia supernovas only happen about once per century, so they used a wide-field
camera mounted on the telescope to try and capture as many as possible.
And they found a bunch of them!
One candidate about 1.5 billion light-years away, officially called SN 2016jhr, appeared
to be only about half a day old!
That's super young — younger than any previously studied supernovas like it.
It's so young that the light it emitted didn't even match what astronomers usually find.
After tracking this object's light curve for two months, the team used a supercomputer
to try to model their observations.
According to the simulations, the star collected enough mass from its companion star that a
thin shell of helium on its surface experienced extreme temperature and pressure.
It was enough to fuse the helium atoms and create an explosion!
The resulting shockwave then traveled down into the white dwarf, causing the carbon inside
the star to ignite.
And that created the energy needed to rip the star apart in an explosion 5 billion times
brighter than our Sun.
Understanding how these explosions are triggered and what they look like just hours after starting
will be important, because it will help astronomers improve those distance measurements and how
we understand our universe's history.
Speaking of stars, most of us know that our sun is kind of your average joe, unlike tiny
white dwarfs or huge, red giants.
Which is pretty common knowledge now, but what about way back in Greece around 200 BCE?

to estimate the size of the sun, and I'm going to look through it.
Brilliant's really cool because it gives you context.
Like, instead of just giving you this math problem it's putting you in the headspace
of an early astronomer.

It's fun because it's kind of like a game and I want to win, but more than that I really

give it a 9 out of 10 the one point is because I don't wear hats so it is not

picked out the grace dress and was like oh this is so soft yeah man I hope the
accessories with it and then a good same dress but they didn't actually really

Hi guys, have you ever wondered what's it like to play player unknown's battlegrounds
in a different part of the world?
I'm sure that you heard that it's easier to play on Asian servers, but is it really
so?
Most of you guys are top 1000 players, and maybe you could be part of the top 10 in another
part of the world, who knows.
Now you could connect to an Asian server from within the States or from Europe, but playing
with a ping of 300 and higher isn't going to show you the true story.
So there is only thing to do, fly to different part of the world, bring your gaming laptop
and challenge the locals on their own servers.
The main goal is to find out which part of the world has the most hard core ruthless
killers on the planet, and we will also search for the server where potato aiming is the
name of the game, in other words the server with the worst players on the planet.
Today I am in a part of the world that is a little bit special, it has the privilege
to be one of the first places to celebrate New Year and compared to most of you guys
I'm literally running around upside down.
Welcome to Auckland, nope not the one in California, but the one in New Zealand.
For the uninitiated it lies to the east of Australia and you probably know their most
famous sports team, the All Blacks.
This is where we will start our journey, and as you could have guessed, we will play Battlegrounds
on OC servers.
I'm sure that you want to see some kind of prove that I'm actually here so I brought
a gopro with me and I will show you a part of the city.
I went for a run and I went all the way up to a dormant volcano called Mount Eden.
On your way to the top you will find one of the nicest places in Auckland to play sports,
right next to the cliffs of this volcano, I can imagine worse places to play sports.
When you get closer to the summit, you might see this guy running downhill backwards, I
mean, really, I have no clue what he was doing but anyway.
Once you reach the top you will get a great view of the city, including Eden Park, this
is where the All Blacks play a lot their games.
I went back to the hotel and I fired up playerunknown's battlegrounds.
To my surprise, they only have one first person server option, and that is restricted to duo's.
All the other servers are third person servers, not exactly the wide range of options that
most of us are used to.
I started with playing solo, the initial experience is exactly these exact as anywhere else, you
land somewhere, you get a few kills and then you move on.
There are always people that go to the School and almost half the airplane jumps out as
soon as it flies over the Military base, same same as always.
But then I started to notice something.
People like to move around a lot, I have never seen so many people driving past or running
pas during all these months that I played battlegrounds.
If I decided to go to a building then I always had one or 2 visitors within a very short
period of time.
So these guys are definitely not stationary.
They like to travel.
Which is great because it make the mid game a lot more interesting.
Most of the time you will have a very interesting beginning and ending when you play in Europe
or in the US, and in the middle there is no man's land because nothing happens no matter
what you do.
We have all experienced this over and over again and we know that a lot of the twitch
streamers complain about this as well.
This is the only server that I played on so far where they have a natural solution for
this, they are travellers by nature and it keeps the game interesting.
A long time ago they had to travel to get here in the first place, and not so long ago
their soldiers even traveled all the way to Europe to help us fight in World War 1 and
2.
So you won't easily get bored in the middle of the game, there is always somebody to kill.
But there is something weird going on with most of these players.
As soon as they hear your footsteps, they will freeze, when they are fired upon and
they have some form of cover, then they will freeze.
Most of the time they fail to find a solution and usually they will stay exactly where they
are hoping that the problem will just go away, but we all know that that's not going to
happen.
In the beginning I was very surprised to learn that a certain enemy was still hiding in exactly
the same spot where I first saw or heard him.
We all know that it's a bad thing and most of the time you will be the one who is going
to die.
As time went by I saw more and more guys doing the exact same thing.
They just freeze on the spot at the first sign of danger.
As soon as you realize this then you are going to take advantage of that isn't it.
This is probably one of their biggest weaknesses.
Just to be clear this is not applicable to every single player out there who plays on
these servers, this is a general observation that is applicable to most of the players.
Unfortunately they have a second weakness.
Basically they are bad finishers.
On many occasions I was stuck in the middle of a gun fight with one other guy.
He was shooting at me, I was shooting at him and suddenly a third guy opens fire on me.
We all know that you're not going to live for very long anymore soon after you hear
the first shots landing close to you, this is what I am used to on European and on American
servers.
That's just the way it is most of the time.
But not here, every single time, and I mean every single time that a third guy came along,
I still managed to survive.
When a third guy opened fire in the middle of the gun fight, and even after I managed
to kill the first guy, then I was always able to get to cover so that I could heal without
getting killed by this third one.
When I was rewatching my recorded footage then I saw that they only managed to hit me
once at most, and all the other bullets hit the terrain around me.
They were constantly missing their shots and they weren't even under pressure because
nobody was shooting at them so some of these guys are truly the kings of the potato aiming.
And this happened over and over again.
Something like this will rarely happen in the US or in Europe.
You will notice this throughout all of the clips that you see in this video.
Things become even worse when they are under pressure.
Most of these players tend to choke when they are fired upon, this also happens when they
open fire and the other guy starts shooting back.
They will instantly stop shooting, they will run for cover and if they decide to shoot
back it's almost never on target.
Most of the time they shoot in the general direction of the enemy and that's it.
Having said that, they have a great sense of timing and they have an exceptional situational
awareness.
When you see a guy running from cover to cover, then the ideal moment to start shooting at
him would be when this person is right in the middle.
These guys are amazing at doing something like that, they have the discipline to wait
and they know exactly when to open fire.
Not only are they good at knowing when to shoot, that can also cook their grenades to
perfection.
14 kills, one other guy remaining and then he throws the perfect grenade that detonates
within 1 second of lading right in between my legs, very impressive.
The only part where they lack timing is when they decide to crouch jump.
In most parts of the world you see people crouch jumping all over the place, even now
when they can't bind 2 settings to the same key anymore.
But this guy had some major issues with pressing 2 buttons at the same time, he had to try
8 time before he managed to jump through this window, in the same timeframe he could have
crawled all the way downstairs, opened a door and then closing that same door, it would
have saved him a lot of time and frustration.
It is likely that it was just this guy who was struggling with that but in all the time
that I played here, I never saw anybody else crouch jumping.
These are all the things that stood out in the solo game mode, and then I started playing
duo's.
Unfortunately for them, these duo servers are the only available first person only servers.
The first game that I joined was a third person game because I think that this is what most
of them are used to.
My first buddy called sleazy CJ.
Unfortunately he didn't offer any support, not even when I was being chased by a guy
who had a gun.
I believe that this guy from Asia, with limited knowledge of English, which is fine.
I was super happy that he made an effort in the first place, this is his part of the world,
not mine.
Unfortunately I had no clue what this guy was saying and we both died soon thereafter.
I decided to give up on this game mode and I wanted to try my luck on first person duo
servers, because I'm sure this is where all the hardcore guys hang out right.
Say hello to pepSS.
He didn't say much in the very beginning, you know how it goes, you are on your first
date and you have no clue what to say, but eventually it was an absolute pleasure to
play with him.
Judging from his accent I would say he is from Australia, probably from somewhere in
the East, possible from Brisbane or from Sydney.
He gave great support, he was clear and concise in giving out information or instructions,
just listen
to this.
He had a plan in mind, he gave me easy to follow instructions and I knew exactly what
he was planning to do.
At some point he tells me that he was wasted and then he casually kills the 2 guys who
jumped out of this vehicle.
Not bad for being wasted at 4 in the morning.
The last thing to do was to play pubg in a squad.
Usually the nicknames give away a lot.
Aierlan1995 is a person who might be able to speak english, but 95601335a and zcq100
are typical Asian names for gamers.
So I was afraid that this was going to end up badly for me but it all started out OK,
I said hello, they said hello and everybody was fat and happy.
Soon after we landed they figured out that the majority spoke Chinese, in other words,
I was the only one who didn't and soon that became the main language.
I had no clue what was going on, but by saying vehicle here, go yellow marker, they did seems
to follow me around to the yellow marker, so there was definitely a great understanding
going on over here.
I had no clue what they said but at least they understood what I was trying to say.
Somewhere along the line, we decided to take 2 vehicles, and zcq100 was the one who was
going to bring a second vehicle to us.
Just at that moment I spot an enemy walking past, I clearly share this info with the other
guys and we all start shooting at him, except for airerlan1995 who thinks it's a good
idea to shoot me instead long after the guy was knocked, but mistakes happen right and
he meant no harm.
He finishes off the guy and that was that, in the meantime our designated driver made
his way back to us with our backup vehicle.
In most countries you learn to drive at a young age right, well not in China, the dude
ran over 2 of his buddies.
And this is the moment where everything started going downhill.
Luckily Aierlan1995 figured out a way to use sign language to point out things, just for
info this must have been added in the latest patch.
Anyway he was kind enough to share it with me so that was a very nice thing of him.
From here on the only english that I heard was GO GO GO, and they said this about a million
times.
You have to understand that a lot of the people who live here were originally from Asia.
That's why you see so many Chinese looking names, well they speak Chinese or Korean and
they English is sometimes limited to saying GO GO GO.
Now I can't complain about that, my accent sounds weird enough judging by the comments
that you guys leave me sometimes and in all honesty they are the ones who are living here.
From time to time they did manage to communicate with me and in the end we made it to the top
20 using seinlanguage so not bad for a few guys who don't understand each other very
well.
To summarize my gaming experience here in New Zealand on the playerunknown's battlegrounds
OC servers, I have to say that it was definitely fun and interesting.
The only way for these guys to play on first person servers is to play duos and that doesn't
make it easier for them.
The great thing is that people like to move around and this makes the mid game so much
more enjoyable.
They have a great sense of timing and situational awareness when it comes to knowing when to
open fire and they definitely know how to cook a grenade.
Unfortunately people freeze, and this puts them at a big disadvantage, on top of that
potato aiming is definitely the name of the game for a lot of these players.
This makes it very easy for a foreigner to take advantage of these weaknesses.
Being a person who has a terrible knowledge of what I think is the Chinese language, it
was hit and miss when I wanted to play together with other people.
If I was matched up with a person who said OK mate all the time then it was a pleasure,
if the only thing they said was GO GO GO or when they used sign language then it was slightly
more challenging because I had no clue what they wanted to do.
I know that I still have to compare all the other servers, but based on my experience
here I will give them the stamp of easy servers.
Your kills to deaths ratio will definitely be higher than normal if you are used to playing
on US or EU servers.
Next week I will be playing player unknown's battlegrounds from somewhere deep within Asia,
maybe we can find out if these guys are better or worse than the guys down under.

My name is Aracely Casillas.
I'm the oldest in my family, and I'm also the one that can handle Spanish and English both
at the same time.
So I've always been like a third parent at home
Both my parents dropped out in middle school and elementary so they don't
really have much experience with going to college and the process of getting there.
Not having the support of my parents has affected me.
It becomes very challenging sometimes to keep motivated
when they don't understand what's going on.
A lot of our students end up not going to college.
They need jobs, they want jobs, their parents know what jobs are.
They don't know how to navigate the world of higher education.
And so I saw that as an opportunity...
what can we provide to them as skills or,
to provide them with the background so they can go and get well paying jobs?
So when I took Computer Science Principles last year
Mr. Lozano was my teacher.
He knows my dynamic at home and he has been a mentor to help me, and guide me
through my step-by-step process into the computer science field.
She walked in my class really not knowing what she was getting into.
I promised her she was going to enjoy it.
And I promised her she would be really good at it.
When I found out the statistics about how little women and Latinos are in the field...
that's when I realized that that was the field for me.
I feel like it's my responsibility to help guide other Latinas, other girls into to this field.
Show them that if I can do it they can do it too.
We need to have computer science for everybody.
We need to have that open access to everybody.
Because I learned all the principles of computer science I was able to get into
Python in the college level and I'm very excited to see what college I get into next year.
I mean everyone wants to change the world.
And I think that technology is how I'm going to do it.

Put them in front of other words and they make new words.
Let's start with under.
I've got two meanings for you.
The first one is like the preposition.
It means beneath, so below or inside other things.
Heating that's placed beneath the floor is called underfloor heating.
Trains that operate in the ground beneath streets are underground trains.
Clothes we wear next to our skin, beneath our other clothes, are underclothes or underwear.
We can go swimming or we can go underwater swimming.
Now the second meaning.
What does the prefix 'under' mean in this word?
Excuse me.
Yes.
This egg is undercooked.
Oh.
It looks all right to me.
Are you kidding?
Ah, I see what you mean.
So what does under mean here?
It means not enough - not sufficient.
If we don't have enough insurance then we're underinsured.
If a company doesn't have enough workers, then it's understaffed.
And if a worker doesn't get paid enough, they're underpaid.
Great.
Now what about over?
It's the opposite of under and again we've got two meanings.
The first one is like the preposition.
It means above or on top of.
A coat we wear on top of our normal clothes is an overcoat.
When we're doing dirty work we might wear overalls.
They call them coveralls in American English.
If we work more hours than usual – so on top of our normal hours, we work overtime.
OK, ready for the second meaning?
What does over mean here?

Really?
I can't eat this.
There's no need to overreact.
Overcooked means cooked too long.
And overreact means react too strongly, with too much emotion.
So over means too much – more than sufficient.

There are some words we can combine with over or under and we get opposite meanings.
A road that passes under another road is an underpass.
And a road that passes over another road is an… overpass.
We also call it a flyover in British English.
If the price of something is less than its real value, it's underpriced.
And if it's too expensive and it costs more than it's worth it's overpriced.
If you don't let enough light in when you're taking a photo, it will be underexposed.
And if too much light gets in, it'll be overexposed.
Some people have too much work to do and they are overworked.
And others don't have enough to do.
They're underworked.

Jackson, it's so awesome to see moments like that
and it's honestly why I fell in love with the game.
These teams prepared so long throughout the year.
And watching all that hard work payoff
was unbelievable.
- Yeah, it's great to see teams like that
have success at the tournament,
but it's also great to be back for another
episode of Gladiator's Summit.
I'm Jackson "Bajheera" Bliton, and once again joined
by Elliott "Venruki" Venczel.
And as you may have figured out by now,
today we're going to be diving in to
recent European regional championship.
[intense music]
- Now as awesome as it is to see these
teams battle it out on the stage,
our goal here at Gladiator's Summit is
to step away from the stage.
Out of the lights, and sit down with these
players to get to know them better as people.
- ABC, let's start with them.
[intense music]
- These guys are full of big name players.
You have Alec, Niksi, Asgarath, Cara.
Last year, they were literally just one
game away from making it to Blizzcon.
- Right.
And that storyline applies to Cara as well,
who's a new edition to this team but
brings a ton of veteran experience to it.
That being said, ABC is a team that
nearly didn't even compete this year.
- Last year, it was a stressful year.
I was in the middle of writing my
master's thesis which in Germany,
especially for Physics, is a lengthy process.
And even with these circumstances,
we went to regionals and we did very well.
We missed the qualifications to Blizzcon by one match.
I wanted to quit after that,
but my team wanted me to stay.
So we stuck together and we kept competing
and now we made it.
- It's really interesting hearing from Alec about
how he basically almost walked away from the game.
- And you can tell he means the world to his teammates.
And they want to have him around.
That being said, he is a huge asset in
terms of recognizing nuances that allow
them to be successful,
especially moving on to Blizzcon.
- Alec, he's like the brains behind the operation.
He comes with the- a lot of insight,
and watches the VODs,
gives us some tips and strategies that he
thinks we should try out.
- He always analyzes after every game like how-
like what you can do better and what you can do worse.
And I like it about him.
Like, when I played with him for the first time,
he was giving me advice.
And I got better as I played with him.
- Is like, all that, but he's like always trying
to find the new comps, the new talents,
the new macros you can get.
He helped us a lot.
I'm very proud to be- to be playing with him.
- You can tell the tremendous respect that Alec's
teammates have for him.
- Yeah!
Because as you'll see with the next team,
the small subtleties can have a big difference.
And that's exactly the case with Grmbl.
[intense music]
- Grmbl consisting of Volkovitch, Voltariux,
JimJim, Aritros.
These guys are no strangers to the world of WarCraft,
mostly running that Windwalker, DK set up.
They've had tremendous success with it on the past.
- Yeah, but despite being really high rate on ladder,
this team came in as the 12th seed,
arguable an under dog.
And this was also their first ever live tournament.
- Going there, I was thinking,
okay this is going to be difficult experience
for me.
I was extremely nervous, and I was a bit scared.
Like, I've never done this before.
- I think it was seeing all those crowds,
all those people.
The lights, the sounds.
This is, this is scary for someone new like me.
- In their first game, they knocked down the
first place seed, winning their second game
very quickly as well.
Being the first team from the European region
to actually qualify for Blizzcon.
- Everyone loves an underdog,
but another reason to love Team Grmbl,
is their name.
Which has a pretty interesting origin story.
- We start playing together with Volkovitch and Voltariux
in middle of MOP.
In this time, we faced a lot of Frost Mages and as a DK
you are extremely vulnerable to snares and roots.
Every time we face Frost Mages,
we both are pretty grumpy about it.
So Grmbl is like the sound that people make
would make when they are grumpy.
It's not a rage or anything, it's just a-[Murloc sounds].
[laughs]
- As a Mage, hearing that, I am slightly offended,
but Mages are one of those classes
you either love them or you hate them.
Either way, I think Grmbl definitely came prepared
for them in this tournament.
- Absolutely.
They found a class that was giving them a hard time
and found a way to counter it.
Running that Frost Death Knight, Windwalker.
DK with that delirium talent,
really limits the Mage's mobility and allows
them to train them down more effectively.
But Grmble isn't the only team that found
a composition that worked for them.
Our next team up on the list,
found a comp, ran it to perfection,
and now they're making it to Blizzcon.
We're talking about Rockets:Eclipse.
[intense music]
- Rockets: Eclipse, those specialists
we were talking about.
You know, NerdRage, Cervantes, Lyanne,
and now Jamie coming in as that fourth
really rounding out the roster when they need it.
- They have a lot of compositions available to them.
But nearly all of them are built around Cervantes.
Now this is a player who's actually qualified
for Blizzcon twice before this.
But, this will be the first time we see him
playing on the big stage.
- I qualified in 2015 but I couldn't go because one of
my teammates couldn't attend so we passed our spot.
Last year too, I qualified at the regionals.
For two years in a row I qualified and I didn't go.
It's like putting time into a thing and then
you don't achieve something that's disappointing.
- I'm so thrilled for Cervantes that
he finally has his opportunity
to go to Blizzcon and really prove himself
but he's not the only one.
- In sitting down with his whole team
you can tell that making it to Blizzcon is a dream
come true for them.
- I'm just so proud because I think this
is a dream of all War Players,
it to go to Blizzcon once in our life.
Like, this is the best moment you
can ever dream of.
- Well, it's Blizzcon, uh, two weeks in the USA.
Blizzcon is just uh, the achievement
of everything.
Every player would love to go to Blizzcon.
- Blizzcon really is the ultimate goal
for anyone that competes in World of WarCraft PvP.
I think for Rockets: Eclipse,
a big part of their potential future success
is going to rely heavily on that
TSG setup they're known for.
- Definitely.
I think that this is really interesting to hear
them say that especially when we've
heard from so many other teams that Legion
for them is about multi-comping
and multi-classing effectively.
And then you have Rockets: Eclipse saying,
"We're just gonna run TSG.
We're gonna play it perfectly.
And we're gonna win."
- We've been playing that for three seasons now,
actually four seasons.
Nearly a year so we know what we have
to do and to end a game.
What we have to do defensively, offensively.
- And him and Cervantes especially have great
synergy in their TSG.
They've got probably thousands of games at this point.
Their synergy is just completely on point.
They basically never lose a mirror to anyone.
It's one of the few cases where they can
just play any match up and win.
Because they play pretty much perfect
the whole way through.
- Honestly it's been a real treat watching Rockets: Eclipse
play that TSG basically from the start
of cup number one all the way until regionals.
I think how perfectly they play it,
the thousands of hours has really paid
off for them this year.
- Yeah. They've done the work,
they've made their dreams come true,
but for one team,
making it to Blizzcon isn't enough.
We're talking about our returning champions,
Method:Triforce.
[intense music]
- Finally, Method Triforce,
the back to back Blizzcon Champions.
This team consisting of
Fabss, Boetar, Swapxy and now Blizo.
They are more dangerous than ever.
- Yeah, they've won two in a row but
they're still hungry.
And I feel like they've been putting in
the work behind the scenes,
and I think that their performance in the most recent
E-regional championship shows that.
And I got to chalk that up to their
willingness to practice and prepare.
- For the past few months, weeks rather,
I have been just focusing on the game,
trying to get us prepared as possible for this event.
You obviously want to scout the team
you're gonna face,
so there's different things you can do.
You can watch the streams, if they're streaming.
They're every single North American cup is also streamed,
so you can get a general idea.
- Jackson, this team is definitely no
stranger to hard work.
I feel like that's really been they're theme,
and has been a big part of their success
in previous years as well.
- They definitely seem to be very confident
moving into this tournament.
And despite being back to back world champions,
they're not really feeling the pressure.
- We know we are the best team for the
past two years, like, without a doubt.
We don't really feel pressure to win again,
because we know it takes luck, it takes practice,
it takes good brackets.
It takes a lot of things.
if we win again, it would be like a new record
and something that we would be super proud of,
but it's not a burden.
- Obviously last year they won it as
that three man roster.
This year, bringing on Blizo as that fourth,
you got to be thinking though,
he might be feeling a little bit nervous as that new addition.
- He definitely has not seen quite as much
tournament experience as his teammates,
but when the prior champions invite
you to their team, they definitely have a lot
of faith in their new teammate Blizo.
- Blizo is the Warrior for the team,
also plays Windwalker and a few other classes,
He is really the aggressive player on our team,
making also,
taking part in the shot calling role.
He has really high mastery on the classes he plays.
So he has a really good eye for making
these plays that finish the game.
- As a fourth player, he adds basically time for us.
Since we don't have to play classes that he now plays,
like Warrior, Windwalker and more classes
and so we can use that time to learn
something else.
It basically gives us chances,
like variety to our roster.
- Blizzo was a bit of wild card for me
going forward to the European regionals,
but he really proved himself.
He played exceptionally well,
and I think he's a really good fit for this roster.
- Absolutely.
I think all the teams that we've been
talking about today from EU are definitely
big time contenders.
But we do need to mention, similar to NA,
that there are some really popular teams
that didn't make it this year.
- Yeah. There absolutely is.
I mean we cant start with one of them, Northern Gaming.
Just talk about the big names on that team.
You have Minpojke, you have Zunniyaki,
you have Raiku, you have Waazz.
These guys are all-star players.
Last year, after losing Blizzcon,
they seemed more focused than ever.
Most of the players in the European regionals
felt like they were the team to beat.
This was their year to win.
- Yeah, experience and effort, as we've seen,
were also not enough for Enjoy Legion right?
They had two previous Blizzcon champions on their roster.
Joefernandes and Loony.
And they're not at Blizzcon either this year.
- Early on in the cups, they did exceptionally well,
and it just seemed like they were going to
steam roll the competition,
they were the most dangerous team in Europe,
and unfortunately in regionals,
they weren't able to make it.
North America and EU both some really
big upsets but we do have our teams locked
in from both regions.
Who are you keeping your eye on moving into Blizzcon?
- Yeah, I mean, there's no question about it, Grmbl.
One of those teams, they have the right composition.
The Windwalker, DK.
They're very well versed in it.
They surprised a lot of people at the European regionals.
And what a story it would be if they went
all the way and won Blizzcon,
coming in at the twelfth place seed.

give it a 9 out of 10 the one point is because I don't wear hats so it is not

this goes like up right here yeah and I like how much like tighten up tight like
it looks yeah claps you light on the booty yeah I really like this outfit but
I like the dress outfit more so I think I will also get this happen

god 80 out of a hundred on a test in high school I was like great hey I'm

picked out the grace dress and was like oh this is so soft yeah man I hope the
accessories with it and then a good same dress but they didn't actually really

Car Truth Show Used Car Buying Tips $10000 Budget - Duration: 1:57.
We're looking at used cars in Vancouver on Craigslist for $10,000 dollars, in the
10,000 dollars range.
So I'm going to compare a couple different cars.
Now there's a huge variety of vehicles available in this price range you can get anything from
pick up trucks, sport utilities, you can get very reliable Japanese vehicles to very flashy,
luxurious cars.
So we'll just look at something that I think is probably not the best used car buy unless
your really want this kind of vehicle, it's a 2008 BMW 750 Li, sports package, beautiful
car, one owner, 139,000 kilometres isn't a huge amount of kilometres.
So while this BMW seems really attractive, there's probably a lot of reasons you'd
want to avoid buying this car.
This is a top of the line German luxury car, it's got loaded full with electronics, fancy
features but really nice, there's just so much to go wrong with this vehicle.
So if you're thinking that for $10,000 dollars I'm going to be buying something that's
going to be fantastic and reliable, well think again.
You're going to have to put a lot of money aside for repairs and maintenance on this
vehicle because a lot will go wrong with it.
So for the same $10,000 you could buy a 2013 Toyota Corolla.
It's got 63,000 kilometres on it, which is practically a brand new car.
Now it's not as exciting as a BMW, this car actually has manual windows, but if you're
looking for a reliable car, this car will give you 20 years more life with hardly anything
going wrong with it.
So these are just a couple used cars that I found, kind of opposite on the spectrum
of luxury versus reliability, whichever car you choose and there are many of them at the
$10,000 price range, a huge variety, make sure you choose wisely and take it to a mechanic
for an inspection.

Hi so with it being October let's talk about ghosts
OW!
Oooooohh okay back to the video then. So we all know
what a ghost is. A spoopy being who's usually a person who can't rest in peace usually
do some unfinished business. So here are my random thoughts on ghosts
I wonder what kind of unfinished business can make you a ghost Would you become one if you
felt guilty for not taking the time to answer someone's survey. Does the
unfinished business have to be recent. Like if I died thirty years from now,
would I be a ghost because I still felt guilty about it accidentally eating
someone's sandwich...... I mean I already am one.... hmmm wonder what caused that?
oh! and what about those ghosts who possess objects. Is it easy business of painting?
Do Ghosts just get telepathy or is it something that needs to be earned through
some sort of ghost school. What would a ghost school look like? What would its
classes be, Book throwing 10,1 advanced painting manipulation, posession for
dummies, singing lessons for their ghostly wails?
I wonder what kind of games a ghost would have?
Probably not video games as they would just phase
through them. Maybe the kid ghosts try to scare as many people as they can in a
time limit or something? wait can ghosts have children, would the children you
even count as real ghosts at that point? they're not a dead person they're just
ghosts from the start. Do ghosts age? Kinda cool if they don't. Can a ghost die, what would happen
to them do they become some sort of super ghost
do they just ceast to exist.....
I should probably look into that
