The Black Market!

Its a strange place where everything illegal always sinks down to.

The more that police and governments try and crack down on it, the stronger it becomes

with people willing to pay even more for these dark commodities.

Here are some of those for you right now - my name is Danny Burke and this is the top 10

disturbing things bought on the black market - part 3

Starting off at number 10 we have Boston Marathon Bibs.

For those of you that don't know - the Boston Marathon of 2013 was a tragic terror event

that killed 3 people, injured thousands with 16 people losing limbs.

Somehow, official bibs from that fateful race of found their way on to the black market.

These grizzly souvenirs are now being sold on the black market for as much as 5,000 dollars.

Some say thats disturbing, others say its just a reminder of a notable event - what

do you guys think?

Next up at number 9 we have Prescription Drugs.

As you can tell from the name, these drugs are prescribed by medical professionals - youre

not supposed to get your hands on them without that.

Despite strict controls, they thefts or corruption means these drugs find there way onto the

black market.

A USA Today report found that 5 million Americans were abusing narcotic painkillers such as

oxycodone.

This epidemic results in thousands of deaths a year in the US alone.

Moving on to number 8 we have Assassination Guns.

Weve talked about weapons in general in a previous video but this is a very specific

type.

Assassination guns are sold on the black market with specific designs.

They can only fire a single shot and are disguised to look like everyday objects such as a pen

or a stapler.

This is especially worrying to police because the guns are almost indistinguishable from

ordinary items, until someone gets killed by one of them …

At number 7 now we have Uber Accounts.

Through hacking or leaks - peoples uber account details often find their way online and onto

the black market.

Of course, like the credit cards we talked about earlier in the video, many people will

simply cancel their Uber account as soon as they feel its been compromised.

Thats why people on the black market will sell the accounts in packages of 10 for around

15 dollars.

One of those unlucky people may wake up to a very expensive Uber charge on their card

one day …

Moving on to number 6 we have Credit Card numbers.

On the dark web you can find sites that sell 100s of credit card numbers in bulk at very

low prices.

You might be thinking, why does a criminal need 100s?

Surely just a few would do if they want to avoid detection?

The reason is because of cancellations.

By the time these stolen credit cards have their numbers put on the black market, many

people will have already cancelled the account.

This means criminals will have to buy a lot of they want to hit the jackpot …

Next up at number 5 we have Holy Water.

A BBC investigation found that bottled water from a well in Mecca - Islams holiest site

- contains dangerous levels of arsenic.

This water is then being shipped around the world to places like the UK.

Authorities there have been left in a tricky situation - they are trying to crack down

on this potentially dangerous liquid which is held as deeply sacred by the people who

bring it into the country.

This may be forcing large quantities onto the black market to avoid detection.

Next up at number 4 we have Baby Formula.

It may seem crazy but this is one of the most shoplifted products in America.

In 2009, Florida authorities arrested 21 people in a theft ring that was making more than

2 million dollars from Baby Formula.

Thieves were paid about 200 dollars a day to steal it from stores which was then repackaged

and sold in other states.

This is mainly because baby forumla is notouriously expensive and some parents are willing to

buy the stolen goods for the reduced price - without knowing who or what has handled

it.

Another worrying trend is baby formula being used to cut drugs such as methamphetamine

and heroin.

At the number 3 spot now we have 3D Printed Guns.

For many years, Police have only had to look out for physical guns being smuggled across

actual borders.

With the rise of 3D printing, a new problem has emerged.

Criminals can buy the schematics for almost any gun on the dark web and make a plastic,

but still legitimate gun that can kill someone.

This type of weapons dealing is a lot harder to stop which is why its becoming such a growing

commodity on the black market …

At the number 2 spot now we have Milk.

This is a strange one.

In the US, unpasteurized milk is illegals in many states with the FDA citing health

concerns such as E-Coli and salmonella.

This has forced unpasteurized milk onto the black market, with gallons of stuff changing

hands out of reach from the authorities.

Thats right - you may think drug smuggling was a problem, well how about milk smuggling.

This is now the world we live in.

And finally at number 1 we have Tiger Parts.

Tigers are endangered but thanks to conservation efforts, their numbers are starting to slowly

rise again.

Part of the battle is against poachers who will kill and dismember Tigers in Asia in

order to sell them on the black market.

A number of countries there either use the parts in medicine or for luxury consumables

such as tiger bone wine.

Thats right - wine made from tiger bones.

This has also led to the rise of tiger farms in China with the animals being specifically

bred for their body parts.

Aaaaand we are out of the black market.

Lets take a break from that.

I have to be honest with you guys, Ive searched for so many illegal things on google in my

research for these videos that I am almost certainly on an FBI watch list.

Okay, we have a strange request.

We're here with the Aven Wine Aerator,

and basically if you want to aerate your wine,

instead of pouring it in the decanter

and waiting several hours, your supposed to just be able to

put this on the neck of the wine, pour it,

and it will be able to aerate it the equivalent of

anywhere from one to 24 hours.

So the aerator has super simple interface,

you just choose how many hours

you want it to aerate it by tapping.

You you an go as high as 24 hours worth of aeration

in a pour.

It's an equivalent, so you know it's sorta hard to test

if it's actually going to give you

a precise 24 hours worth of aeration.

But the company has an app that is supposed to

kinda estimate for you how much you should aerate

the given bottle of wine you're about to pour it through,

and you just do that by taking a photo of the bottle of wine

it'll analyze what you're pouring,

and then give you a recommendation

about what you should set it to.

But it's really easy to control on your own,

you can kinda just dial in your preference.

So we have two glasses of wine here,

this one has been aerated for the equivalent of few hours,

this one is fresh outta the bottle.

I'm gonna taste 'em both, see if I can tell the difference,

I am not great with wine, so we'll see.

But it should be interesting.

I guess I'm gonna go with the regular first.

I can't describe, it has wine smell,

I would say it's like a good one, as far as that goes.

This does smell different, it's--

I don't think this smells as strong,

it's like, a lighter smell.

Yeah, dang, what the heck, man?

This might be working.

The smell is just like, mostly gone,

it's like not there as much.

Straight outta the bottle first.

Ooh, man, the front of that tastes fine, and then it--

That's much more pleasant, that's, this is the aerated one,

it tastes much more pleasant.

This one was like, very sour, this one,

I think the sourness is gone on this one.

I was extremely skeptical of this, I'm less skeptical now.

I mean, listen, I'm not a wine expert,

I wanna make that very clear.

But this one is definitely much, much smoother

than this one, and it literally just like

went through this aerator before we poured it,

so that's pretty neat.

So the Aven Aerator is gonna launch on Indiegogo in march,

it'll sell for $100, and it's supposed to start shipping

in June, so you could be aerating your wine

with this thing by the summer.

is about to drop,� as he highlights his belief that all the sexual assault allegations

that started with the fall of Democratic mega-donor Harvey Weinstein, are just the �tip of the

iceberg� which will lead into massive crackdowns and major exposure into the rampant problem

of pedophilia and child trafficking, and how that all ties in with the timing of President

Trump�s December 21, 2017 executive order titled �Executive Order Blocking the Property

of Persons Involved in Serious Human Rights Abuse or Corruption.�

As ANP detailed on December 22, 2017, that executive order did not only specify foreign

actors but also anyone within our government, presently or former officials, that are complicit

or had been directly engaged in �(1) corruption, including the misappropriation of state assets,

the expropriation of private assets for personal gain, corruption related to government contracts

or the extraction of natural resources, or bribery; or (2) the transfer or the facilitation

of the transfer of the proceeds of corruption.�

That EO also announced that anyone caught up within those parameters, could have their

assets seized immediately and without warning.

Corsi believes that many things we have seen and reported on, are indicators that the stage

is being set for something huge.

communication itself power failure critical component failure loss of altitude or fuel exhaustion

The status update would be the last communication from mh370

Before it is presumed to have crashed at high speed into the Indian Ocean

Hi Groovers, in Daily Groove 29,

I gave you a fun little challenge

that really helps boost your climbing power and skills.

In this Daily Groove,

I'm gonna give you another climbing challenge.

And this one gives you a big hidden reward

that you will not see coming.

Find a steep climb that you're good at,

but want to be great at.

Start with just a short section of trail.

Then ride it as slowly as you possibly can.

Now, after hearing that some of you will be thinking,

how is riding slowly going to improve my skills?

Stick around.

The slower you ride,

the more you put yourself under pressure to keep control.

When you're riding slowly,

you'll have to focus on balance more,

which will force you to be more precise

with your positioning.

If your section is steep enough,

then riding slowly will make it a lot harder

to maintain traction as well,

which again will force you to be more precise

with how you manipulate your position and speed,

and how you use your body and your effort

to keep both wheels under traction.

Now, the problem most mountain bikers have

when they try this challenge

is they start clenching that handlebar

and bracing themselves to the bike

to try and keep control at a much slower speed.

All that's going to do is sabotage everything

you're trying to achieve.

Instead, I want you to do exactly

what I said in Daily Groove 29.

Hinge at your hips, chest and nose,

chase that feeling of balance.

Watch Daily Groove 29 again

for the demonstrations of those

so that you get it right and you're not wasting your time.

They will help you climb slower with much more control,

power, traction, finesse, and confidence,

instead of wrestling the handlebar

and wasting all of that energy,

struggling to try and control the bike and keep traction.

Practise that section of trail over and over again,

riding as slowly as you possibly can.

Apply what I show you in Daily Groove 29.

It will be a challenge at the start,

that's why it's called a challenge.

But very swiftly you will start to experience,

that everything I'm asking you to do

only gives you more control and skill.

At that slower speed, as long as you use those techniques

you'll start to develop greater traction,

posture, power, and balance and positioning control skills.

If you're already learning the full Groover Method

you've got a big advantage and will get even greater gains.

Now, the big hidden reward.

You've performed this challenge several times,

over a few weeks.

And then you're out on your next ride

and you start climbing a really steep hill,

steeper than before.

What happens to your speed on that climb?

It gets slower, doesn't it?

The steeper the climb, the slower you go.

But that's no trouble for you now,

because you've been practising

some of the key Control Skills

you need to ride slower climbs.

Now you've got the thinking, the skills, and the confidence

to climb steeper than you have before.

New capability.

That is exciting and that is a great reward.

Icon Qcon Pro X / XS - Test - Duration: 20:25.

Hello and welcome to this new EPDLM video!

Today we're going to test the Qcon Pro X/XS from Icon,

which are DAW Midi controllers.

So let's put your hands back on real faders...

I was looking for a way to speed up my mixing process,

so I started to look at what was available on the market

and I found this model, the Qcon Pro X, from Icon.

They still have a 1st version, which is all white and flat

but this is the Pro X, all black, with meters on top,

a transport section, configurable buttons,

8 faders and a Master fader, some buttons and knobs for each faders.

So when I bought it,

I configured Cubase to be able to control my VCA stems

so for example my drums, bass guitar, guitar, synths...

So while I'm mixing, even if I am on track 122 which is the violin

and I want to listen to the drums and the violin only

I can push SOLO on drums and strings and stay focused on what's on the screen

without scrolling to the drums tracks!

This works fine, but we can go further with the Qcons.

So I decided to contact Icon and they have been really kind to send me 2 extensions, the Pro XS,

in order to test them.

So now I configured Cubase differently,

I removed my VCAs from the Qcon and put all the audio tracks of the mix

on the 24 faders.

My VCAs are now on this Allen & Heath Qu-16 mixer.

It's a digital mixer with a midi controller section.

So now, I still have access to my VCAs with SOLO, MUTE and VOLUME control of each VCA on this mixer

and on the Qcons I have the entire mix.

Before talking about configuration, I'm gonna show you the functionalities of the Qcons.

What is really cool is that they can work with the majority of the DAWs.

I'm working on Cubase

but you just have to unscrew this panel here and put the one of your DAW.

There are 8 faders,

a screen that shows us the tracks names.

For each track you can switch to SOLO, MUTE, set a track to RECORD,

and you can select a track just by touching the fader, but there is a button too.

Here is a little knob to adjust the pan and other parameters.

I know that the camera is a bit far, but the values here are really clear.

We have the track name on top and the PAN value on the 2nd line.

Ok, when you switch on the Qcon, it asks if some XS are connected

and which DAW you use. So with these buttons we can confirm our choice.

All is saved on the Qcons so you have to set this only the first time.

This button here allows you to switch the display from the name of the parameter to its value

For exemple, here I can see PAN - LEFT/RIGHT

and when I switch I have the values for each track.

Here is to display the beats of the track and the time as well. This is really cool!

On the transport section here

we have PLAY STOP RECORD LOOP REW FF.

Here I can move from clip to clip or select tracks,

and if I press ZOOM, I can now zoom in and out the project

which is really practical.

I have a jog wheel here which allows me to move in the song

and if I push SCRUB I can now listen to the track backward and forward.

I have here some markers on this track

I can go from a marker to another with those 2 buttons.

I can also add a marker

and UNDO and REDO what I just did.

This is for the PUNCH mode

so you can put a marker somewhere and hit play

and the record will start as soon as the marker is hit.

Ok, let's talk about those buttons over here

these are configurable depending on what allows your DAW.

I choose to open my inserts, for example on my KICK

I have a GATE, and EQ, a MULTIBAND COPRESSOR

another COMPRESSOR and a TAPE SIMULATION.

So I can open here all my plugins instead of using my mouse.

Another thing I configured, for example on my snare,

is to be able to close all my plugins with a single button!

This is cool because, let's say I want to open my plugins, and

here you go, a plugin hide the others so I need to move them etc..

but now I have a button here and I can open it anyway.

These are a lot of little thing that can speed up your workflow.

Another thing that I like to do when mixing, is to control if my mics are on phase.

So this button allows me to open and close the PRE PANEL so I have access to an HPF, LPF

the GAIN and the PHASE of each track.

And because this panel needs a lot of space on the screen,

I can open and close it really easily. Same thing with my SEND PANEL

Here I can switch from my tracks and my console

and at the end I can BOUNCE my song here.

Basically we have on the desk a lot of the software stuff which is really cool an practical.

So as I told you earlier, The Qcon can work with another mixer

and so having my VCAs on the QU-16 I can SOLO my drums for example as you can see,

I can SOLO the percussion.

A really easy way to listen to stems in SOLO.

I can also change the volume of my entire drums with 1 fader

and the Qcon reacts very well!

Also, let's say I want to compare my mix with a previous version.

I can push this button and all my mix will be MUTED except my reference track

So I can compare back and forth very easily.

Regarding the automation,

here is a guitar track

and you can see that there is a little automation

but if I hit WRITE, I start to write a new automation.

Now I rewind and and I can see the fader moving.

If I don't like what I just did,

I can do it again over my previous automation.

Let me zoom in for you.

So you can do automation with faders

instead of drawing lines with a mouse.

So here is the automation in READ mode.

You can also automate several tracks at the same time

Let's take my Left and Right Guitar,

put WRITE on those two, hit play and here you go!

Ok let's listen what we just did.

This is really precise, smooth and reacts very well.

Another thing that we can do with the Qcon is that we can edit every plugin parameters!

For example here I have a VMR from Slate digital,

with an EQ on insert C

So if I push Insert on the Qcon

now I can see that Insert 1 is the VMR

and I can switch from page to page until I found the plugin C parameters.

I can now display the values

and I can move the Gain, the frequency and the Q for example.

If you want more precision,

you can push this button and you can now control the plugin with the faders

instead of the knobs.

This is even more precise.

Let's get back to normal now.

Same thing here for the master fader,

I can edit the plugins without moving to the Master bus.

If you use your stock EQ,

you can push the EQ button, then EDIT,

and when I push this knob I enable the band and change the Q, and if I push to this one

I can move around the frequency.

I guess that it's the same in the other DAWs.

Here you can adjust your sends to your FX for each track.

Here I can decide to disable the motors of the faders.

So even if a fader moves on the screen, the Qcon won't react.

but if you move a fader on the Qcon, Cubase will move the fader.

I actually don't understand the purpose of this option but maybe you will :)

In the other side what's really cool is that we can block the faders.

So they are now fixed and I can't move them anymore.

This can prevent for any unwanted moves.

With this on you can go before and after your loop,

here you can scroll into your mix tracks

and finally here you can change the pages on your plugins.

I'm now gonna show you hot to setup the Qcons.

This is actually really simple. You don't need to install anything

because the drivers are already inside the box.

So, you just need to plug the Qcon via USB to your computer

and you will automatically find it in Cubase.

I guess it's not harder to configure it in the other DAWs.

You will find a manual for each DAW, so no problem here.

In Cubase it's really simple, you need to go to Device setup,

and add a Mackie control

and choose as input and output the Qcon Pro X.

That's it, your are now ready to work.

Next, you have a little windows here where you can set the functions of the 16 assignable buttons.

We also have USER A and B for foot switches pedals that you can connect on the back of the Qcon.

So, I don't know if that works the same in the other DAW but here in Cubase

For example on SHIFT F5 I have 'Close all the plugins'

You can actually choose what you want for the 16 assignable buttons.

I didn't find a way, on this Mackie control panel, to assign a function depending of the selected track.

I don't know if it's possible, maybe I just didn't find it

so I did it in a different way that I'm gonna show you in a second, that's why the first lines are empty.

If you have some Qcon Pro XS, like here, I have 2 of them,

you just need to add another Mackie controller, and select the Pro XS.

You need to do it in descending order.

So Mackie control 2 is the XS 2 and Mackie control 3 is the XS 1

You still have USER A and B for each XS.

So yeah, that's it, basically.

So here is the little trick to open the insert depending the selected track.

You have to create a Generic remote device

You can now add a command.

Let's call it 'Test' for example.

This will create a line below corresponding to the one we just created.

In this first box here, we're going to set how 'Test' is triggered.

The midi channel of the Qcon is 1 and each button has an address and a value.

So if you check 'Learn' and then push the wanted button of the Qcon

this will automatically set the right address for you.

Finally you can select here the action Cubase will do when you hit the button.

and here you have to select 'Selection' instead of a particular track.

and then 'mute' for example.

So now, when I push the chosen button, Cubase will mute the selected track.

Here you can set 'Button and Change', so it will MUTE and UNMUTE alternatively.

So here are my 5 commands for my first five buttons.

Of course you have to choose the Qcon as input and output

Then I created another Generic device remote for the A&H Qu-16

to control my VCAs,

3 lines for each fader where I control the SOLO, MUTE and VOLUME.

So here you go for the configuration. Nothing really complicated.

To conclude, the Qcons are really beautiful, solid and the faders are really smooth.

There is no real latency, and it's CPU friendly.

It's like having the mix right in front of you and it's really pleasant.

The bottom screen only displays the Qcon tracks numbers from 1 to 24...

I guess that a future update will add some features so we can display other things

like maybe the volume of each fader

or other plugins parameters.

I don't understand the purpose of disabling the motors but maybe you will :)

You can also assign the Qcon from scratch with a soft that comes with the unit.

Like, for example, if you want that the 4 buttons of each track open a VST instead of the regular MUTE SOLO etc

you can do it, not easy to do but possible.

How to convert an old laptop into a stunning HTPC - Duration: 5:46.

In this video I'm making a custom case for a media center PC made from an old HP laptop.

I'm working with acrylic and combining it with veneer and I believe this might be somewhat

inspirational.

The design I came up with is simple and elegant.

The box measures about 28 by 28 cm and it's 6 cm high.

Side panels are covered in veneer while the top is spray painted white.

The motherboard sits on a piece of steel mesh.

I started from disassembling an old HP laptop as I needed precise dimensions of the motherboard

to determine the size of the case...

I won't cover this in detail as it isn't unlikely that you will have the same laptop.

If you need help taking apart your computer, I suggest searching for service manual.

After extracting the motherboard, I measured the PCB and figured that 28 cm by 28 cm will

be sufficient size.

I had a not so large piece of acrylic.

It wasn't big enough to make sides as a single element so I cut two 6 cm wide pieces.

Next, I marked bending points, heated up the acrylic and modeled it around a table leg.

This isn't the most fortunate way to do that, but at that time I couldn't think of a better

way.

To join both, I cut two pieces of acrylic... sanded the surface a little bit so both acrylic

elements have better chance to stuck together, mixed some of that two-component glue, applied

the adhesive, put all three elements together and left to dry.

Next, I traced the shape of the top panel... and cut the acrylic... around the corners

I cut off as much as I could and used sanding paper to make a nice round shape.

I mixed some more glue, applied it and put the sides onto the top panel.

After glue has dried, I sanded down the excess of the material.

Next, I put the motherboard on the box to determine the size of the I/O ports opening...

as well as the side exhaust vent cut out.

I marked both openings, drilled holes in the corners and cut the acrylic using dremel.

After extracting most of the material, I changed the Dremel bit and sanded down the edges so

the cutout looks more presentable.

Next, I filled some imperfections and sanded the filler once it has dried.

Again, I didn't have a piece of veneer long enough that would wrap around and I had to

work with what I had.

So, I cut a piece of veneer in half.

Clamped one onto the plastic case, sprayed some water onto it and gently forced it around

the corner.

After it has dried, I did the same with the other piece.

I figured that it would look better if both pieces meet at an angle so I cut the veneer

and proceeded with gluing it onto the panel.

I used to attach veneer using contact glue, but working with a round shape, I was afraid

that the probability of something going wrong is too high... so I decided to try using a

regular wood glue... which wasn't the best idea but I'll come back to this later.

After the glue has dried, I proceeded with removing the excess of the veneer with utility

knife and sanded down the edges.

I/O ports and air vents openings were a bit tricky – that's where Dremel has once again

proven to be money well spent.

I cut a piece of steel mesh that I bought for my desk PC build.

Cut off all four corners to make it fit.

Then, I established mounting points, drilled holes and fixed M3 inserts.

To attach the components' base to the acrylic cover, I cut two pieces of angle aluminum,

drilled holes and fixed M4 inserts.

Again, I mixed some glue to attach aluminum to plastic.

Next, I filled cracks in veneer that were a result from using a water-based wood glue.

I thoroughly sanded the case on the sides.... and the top, preparing it for painting.

I masked the wood with some tape and applied 3 layers of white matt paint.

After paint dried, I removed the tape and flipped the case to establish positioning

of the screws attaching components base to the shell.

I made holes with a drill and a file.

I applied some wax onto the sides to bring out the texture and color.

Next, I attached the motherboard to the base, with aluminum spacers in between and fixed

it to the outer shell.

The last thing was some plastic spacers that elevate the construction a couple mills off

the surface.

I think this build turned out pretty amazing especially if you consider that the total

cost came to around $20.

The case looks minimal and elegant and would easily get wife's approval.

What would need some more attention is the power button assembly and the power connector

contraption.

If I was going to actually use it, I'd definitely sort it out... but as you know – most of

my projects are prototypes that I create because I enjoy making something out of nothing and

I document the process for your entertainment.

Exercises That Strengthen Your Core and Support Your Lower Back - Duration: 3:28.

Hi, this is Dr. Tim Smith from New Life Chiropractic, your drug free doctor.

A lot of people ask me about what are some exercises they can do to strengthen their

core, to support the lower back, especially people who are sitting a lot, [who are] very

sedentary, not exercising enough.

It's very important to have core strength to support the lower back.

To be able to support the spine and the nervous system.

So I'm going to go through a couple of key exercises that you can do on a regular basis

at home.

The first one is called a plank.

Plank is a great exercise because you're working the entire core: the front, the sides, the

back, and working the legs there as well.

So I'm going to demonstrate two different versions.

One standard.

One modified.

So a normal plank.

It's called a plank because you keep your body straight like a board.

You put your arms, down your legs out, and your body should be flat.

You want to make sure that you're not dipping down like this, or getting your butt way up

in the air.

You want to be flat and you want to hold that as long as possible.

And not everyone can always do a plank like this.

You can also do them on your knees with the same concept holding it for as long as possible.

Now the second one I'm going to show you is called The Cat/Camel exercise.

If you're familiar with yoga you've probably done this before.

This is great for getting motion into the lower back.

So the way that works if you get on all fours and you arch your back up like a cat and down

like a camel.

So it's up and back.

Just like that just.

Up and back.

You do that a few times, that really works the discs of the lower back.

That's a lot of motion in there.

Another good exercise is what's called the Bird Dog.

This one is also great because it's a dynamic exercise.

It means that you're training one side compared to the next.

Really helps with balance too if you're having issues with balance or coordination.

This is a great one to add in.

So the way this works is you're on your hands and knees again like this and you're going

to raise one leg and one arm at the same time and then you're going to raise one arm and

one leg at the same time, and you want to hold those.

Now as you get more advanced you can put those up you can move side to side and make it a

little more difficult.

Same thing on the other side, side to side.

See how much more challenging that is.

So that's a couple of exercises that you can do to start strengthening the core, creating

more mobility in the core, and also creating more balance and coordination within your

body.
