Youtube daily report Mar 18 2018

What is up Members of the Barrio

It's Jon coming to you from New York

And today we're going to dive into a pretty serious topic.

How safe is New York City?

I have been asked this question frequently by viewers

Almost as much as I've been asked

How safe is Mexico?

And if you've never visited here before

I imagine you're a bit curious

Well what are we doing sitting here.. I think we've got to get outside

On the streets of Manhattan to

Talk more about this topic.

We are ready to go

To answer that question simply..

Is New York City safe

I would say.. yes

New York City is considered in my opinion

Quite..a safe city

But

Crime does occur here

I am not going to paint this idealistic of New York City as a spot where you will go to

And nothing bad will ever happen

To you

Because their is a chance that it could

And I could pull up some statistics to show you..

How unlikely that is

According to the daily news in 2017 their were 290 investigated homicides in the entire city of New York

To give you some perspective.. in 1990 that number was over 2,000

The crime rate in New York City has been going down for decades

That is a fact

And I'll give you another statistic

In 2017 in Manhattan-South

We're going to say midtown Manhattan to the bottom of Manhattan

Where most tourists are going to be spending the majority of their time

Their were 200 robberies reported

200 robberies that is less than 1 per day

The absolute best advice I could ever give anybody visiting New York

Or any big city for that matter

It's 5 words

Be Aware of your surroundings

And that advice actually saved my life once

I was a victim of a crime in New York CIty

On January 25th, 2013

I was in a very rough area of the Bronx

Which you will likely never go to

You probably would have no reason to go there

And.. I covered this in another video

I'm going to put a card above

If you want the full story

But.. I was walking in the street

And it was at night

I was heading to the subway

I was fully aware of what was going on

I saw commotion ahead of me

Somebody pulled a gun

Tried shooting someone else

I was in the wrong place

At the wrong time

And I got hit.. over my left knee cap

I am fine

It was not a bad wound at all

It sounds scary

I'm not trying to scare you guys

But I am saying I was aware of what was going on

I dove for cover after

If I had headphones on

And I wasn't paying attention

I might have walked right into a shooting

Right there at point blank range

This is an extreme situation

I don't think any of you will ever have to face something like this in your life

But it just goes to show you that..

Awareness can help you

See what's going on

And have time to react

If a crime was to occur

But this is a remote possibility

I will tell you that almost everyone I know in New York City

Has never had any issue with crime

But now I'm actually going to provide you with

Some tips

From someone who's lived in New York for more than 6 years

That I think will reduce your chances

Of running into a problem

When you do visit this fine city.

Tip number one if you are a single woman..

After mdnight I probably wouldn't take the subway

Here's why

The subways in New York City run 24 hours

a day

7 days a week

But at night. They run slower

People have a higher chance of being intoxicated

Also there's less people in the subway station

You have the opportunity to be waiting for a train 30 minutes

At 2 in the morning

There's a lot of things that could go wrong

I would advise any of my female friends

Coming to New York

If it's after midnight

I'd probably just take an uber or a taxi

Personally I usually take taxis after midnight

If you did have to take a subway

Late at night

Go where other people are

Go into a crowded subway car

Don't isolate yourself

Tip number 2

Be aware of what is going on.. when are you taking a subway

Let's say during the day

If the train is really crowded

Know where your backup is

Make sure nobody is meddling with it

Know where your wallet is

For extra safety

When a train is approaching

I don't like to stand very close to the platform

In case you slip

In case somebody bumps into you

Or god forbid in case somebody would shove you

Which is extremely rare

But it has happened

In New York..

It's always one of those things for me

I don't like to stand right up against the tracks

Against the platform

When the train is approaching

If you are young.. and you are out in certain areas of New York

The big party districts

People may come up to you and offer you drugs

On the street

Just ignore them

Walk away

They will not follow you

Trust me

Another thing you'll notice in New York is that panhandlers

May come up to you.. asking you for money

You might walk past people asking you for money

My best advice

Avoid eye contact

Or politely say no

If you do want to donate to homeless people

To try to help them out

Their are many organizations where you could do that

And know the money is going to an important cause

Do not be careless with your belongings

Let's say you're at a bar.. you're at a cafe

Don't leave your cellphone unattended and go to the bathroom

Don't leave your laptop unattended and go to the bathroom

Always know where your things are

If you're going to make yourself an easy victim

People might take advantage of you

If you don't know the city well

You've got to be extra careful

And I would say

Don't wear headphones at night..

Walking in places you don't know well

Or places you think might be a little bit..

Unsavory

I have a friend of a friend

Who was leaving a subway at 11 PM

Had headphones on

Somebody approached him. Punched him.

Freak assault

But.. if he wasn't wearing his headphones

He may have been a tougher target

And that bad thing wouldn't have happened to him

Again this is not to scare you..

But if you don't know New York to well

And you're walking around at night

I don't recommend you have headphones on.

And be in your own world.

This is a very nice street by the way

Love the west village

Great place to stroll around and vlog

For people visiting the city for the first time

And arriving at one of the area airports

A good tip

Do not accept rides.. from unmarked taxis

I even saw when I arrived at JFK last time

Somebody was holding an uber sign

An uber decal

I've never seen that before

I don't know if that's a scam or not

But either call an uber officially

When you get outside

Or go to one of the marked taxi pick up spots.

Take somebody who's licensed

I don't care how much money they say they're going to save you

You're definitley taking a risk doing something like that.

One final word of caution to my younger viewers

If you do like to go out at night

You want to party

Just be extra careful..

I think there's always chances for fights late at night

For things to happen

For tension

For arguements to occur

Steer clear of that

And always be aware

Of what's going on

The goal of this video

Was not to scare anybody

In fact.. it's to encourage people to visit New York city

Because it is one of the safest big cities

In the entire world

I have met so many folks.

Who have visited here

With 0 incident

They loved it

They loved the people

They loved the vibe

But you've got to keep some of the things

That I talked about

In mind

Just to lower your risk of running into any trouble

If you're from New York

Or you've visited New york

Or you've got questions

Tell me in the comments

Any other safety tips?

Is their anything I missed?

What were your experiences.. in New York City like

I'm very curious

NOPE BOOK TAG! - Duration: 10:12.

Hi everyone, it's Sandy and today I'm doing the NOPE Book tag. This tag was

created by A Booktube Book and I wasn't tagged by anyone but I saw my friend

Mel from BooksWithWings doing this tag video and I knew I wanted to do it. The

questions for this tag are pretty long so I'm just going to be reading the

questions off my phone. The first question is a nope ending: a book ending

that made you go nope - either in denial, rage, or simply because the ending was

crappy. For this question, I'm going to go with The Girl on the Train by Paula

Hawkins. This book is a psychological thriller and after all the build-up in

this book, when the whole mystery was revealed, I felt like it was just very

anticlimactic, and I was pretty disappointed by how things turned out, so

I felt like this ending was just a big nope. The second question is a nope

protagonist: a main character you dislike and drives you crazy. I'm going to go

with Shazi from The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh. I don't dislike Shazi

but she did drive me crazy. The main and probably only thing that annoyed me

about Shazi's character is how her relationship with Khalid was built. I am

all for the enemies to lover trope. That is one of my favorite tropes to

read about but I didn't like how it was executed in this book. I thought the

romance was very sudden. The way Shazi felt about everything was just kind of

all over the place and it drove me crazy, so that is why I didn't really like this

book that much but I know so many people loved this book, but unfortunately it

wasn't for me. The third question is a nope series: a series that turned out to

be one huge pile of nope after you've invested all that time and energy on it

or a series you gave up on because it wasn't worth it anymore. A series that

turned out to be a huge pile of nope is The 5th Wave by Rick Yancey. If you've

been watching my videos for a while now, then this answer isn't really a big

surprise. I did enjoy the first book but the series just went downhill as the

books went on. As the series went on I just didn't know what was happening

anymore, like what were their goals? Like what are they trying to do?

I just wasn't as engaged anymore. Don't even get me started on the last book. I

really did not like the last book. The fourth question is a nope popular

pairing: a ship you don't support. I don't ship Alina and the Darkling. There are

people out there that actually ship them together but nope, I personally don't

understand it. I would never in a million years ship Alina and the Darkling. I

know a lot of people who have read these books don't like who Alina ended up

with but personally, I really didn't mind. the end game wasn't my preferred ship

but I don't dislike it as much as I do with Alina and the Darkling and also,

there are a million other reasons why Alina and the Darkling shouldn't be

together but I'm not going to discuss that in this video. The fifth question is

a nope plot twist: a plot twist you didn't see coming or didn't like. A plot

twist that I didn't see coming but I actually liked is in Killer Instinct by

Jennifer Lynn Barnes. The plot twist at the end of the book just blew me away.

There are multiple plot twists in this book and each one just constantly blew

my mind. If you haven't read the series, please check it out. The first book in

the series is called The Naturals and it's like a YA Criminal Minds. It's a

really great mystery/thriller series and I highly recommend it. The sixth question

is a nope protagonist action or decision: a character decision that made you shake

your head nope. I want to mention two books for this question and the first

one is Little Monsters by Kara Thomas. This is another mystery/thriller book

and it follows our main character Casey, who moves to a new town to live with

her father. She becomes really close to two girls

and they pretty much do everything together but on the night of a huge

party, Casey is left out and the following day, one of her friends go

missing and people become pretty suspicious of Casey. And in this book,

Casey kept doing things that was pretty much asking for her to be suspected

because she kept putting herself into situations that made it seem like she

was the one responsible for one of her friends going missing, and it just

frustrated me so much. I did like this book overall but I had pretty mixed

feelings about Casey's character because of her decisions but it definitely was

interesting to read from her point of view. Another protagonist I wanted to

mention is Desi, from I Believe in a Thing Called Love by Maurene Goo and I

really love this book. I think it's wonderful

but Desi does make some pretty crazy decisions that I don't agree with. A lot

of the decisions that she makes are due to this guide that she creates in order to

get a boy to fall in love with her. She basically studied a bunch of K-dramas to

create this guide, so a lot of her decisions are pretty dramatic and kind

of extreme. I don't agree with them but based on the context of K-dramas, I didn't

really mind her decisions that much. The seventh question

is a nope genre: a genre you will never read. I feel like never is a pretty

strong word and I don't always like saying I will never do this. I will never

do that because I don't know, maybe one day I will. But definitely for now, a genre

that I probably won't read for a really long time is erotica because that's just

something I'm not into and I don't think that genre needs an explanation. But

another genre that I rarely ever pick up a book from is historical fiction. A lot

of the historical fiction books that I have read are books that I thought were

like okay or didn't really like. There are definitely a few historical fiction

books that I did like but most of them I just thought were okay, so that's just a

genre that I don't ever really gravitate towards. The eighth question is a

nope book format: book formatting you hate and avoid buying until it comes out in a

different edition. There really isn't a book format that I hate. I pretty much

read from all different types of book formats, whether it's eBook, audio book,

physical print. However, I don't like mass-market paperbacks and I don't ever

read from mass-market paperback, but that's something I don't really have to

worry about because a lot of the books that I read which are young adult, are

not printed in mass-market paperbacks. And even though I do listen to

audiobooks, I will never buy an audiobook because (a) they're really really

expensive and I don't think it's worth the money to buy an audio book. A lot of

the audiobooks that I do listen to are books that I checked out from Overdrive,

which is connected to my local library and that works really well for me and

I'm really happy with just using Overdrive and checking out audiobooks

from the library. The ninth question is a nope trope: a trope that makes you go nope.

I feel like this trope is pretty specific but I hate it when one

character pushes another character away and that character is typically the love

interest, and they push their love interests away in order to protect them

for one reason or another. This does kind of fall under the whole miscommunication

trope because one character isn't telling the other character the full

truth because they think that once the whole truth is out, the other character

will think of them differently, will hate them, or will be really hurt, or for

whatever reason. And I feel like this always happens when it's so obviously

clear that both of these characters have feelings for each other. This trope

happens way too often and it's pretty present in a lot of my favorite books

such as The Darkest Minds, the Lux series, and all of the Shadowhunter

books. The tenth question is a nope recommendation: a

book recommendation that is constantly hyped and pushed at you that you simply

refuse to read. So I'm going to go with One of Us is Lying by Karen McManus and

this isn't a book that was necessarily recommended to me but it is a book that

I do think has hype surrounding it. It's a book that I will probably never read

because I've heard things about it that makes me not want to pick it up. I'm not

going to go into any of the details but Trina from Between Chapters has a very

very great Goodreads review that explains basically all of the reasons why I don't

want to read this book, so I will link that down below if you are curious. The

eleventh question is nope cliche or pet peeve: a cliche or writing pet peeve that

always makes you roll your eyes. I'm going to go with insta-love. This is a

trope that I really hate reading about and the second that appears in a book, I

would just automatically dislike the romance.

The 12th question is nope love interest: the love interest that's not worthy of

being one, a character you don't think should have been a viable love interest.

I'm going to go with Will from The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli.

This book sort of has a love triangle but I don't really consider it a love

triangle. This book follows Molly, who has had 26 crushes but has never been in a

relationship and she has a twin sister named, Cassie, who's basically tried to

set her up with this other guy. Once Reed is introduced, who is Molly's co-worker

and the other love interest, how can you not ship him and Molly together? I mean,

they are so cute and adorable and I really love them. I didn't really mind

Will that much but I definitely didn't ship him and Molly. I still really love

this book and I definitely highly recommend it. The thirteenth question is

a nope book: a book that shouldn't have existed that made you say nope. I'm

choosing Sea of Shadows by Kelley Armstrong and I really didn't like this

book. I think I still ended up giving it like a three out of five stars, which I

don't know why. Honestly this is more like a one-star book for me because I

really didn't like it. I didn't know what was going on. I thought it was confusing

this book was just a huge pile of nope, so I'm not going to talk about it

anymore. The 14th question is a nope villain: a scary villain or antagonist

you would hate to cross and would make you run in the opposite direction. I'm

choosing Adelina from The Young Elites by Marie Lu. And Adelina is an antihero.

Her powers are hella scary. She can create these vivid and powerful

illusions that can scare someone to death and I definitely

do not want to cross her path because she can basically make you imagine

something terrible happening to you and I don't want to experience that because

reading about all the things that she does do throughout the series just makes

me want to stay as far away from her as possible. The fifteenth question is a

nope death: a character death that still haunts you.

Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare. Still not over it.

Still not okay. Moving on. And the very last question is a nope author: an

author you had a bad experience reading from and decided to quit. There really

isn't an author that I read a book from and decided that I will never read any

of their books ever again but an author that I probably won't read a book from

anytime soon is Pierce Brown, the author of Red Rising. I read Red Rising a couple

years ago and I really didn't like it. I didn't really understand the world in

this book, and I thought it was just really confusing that I couldn't find

any piece of enjoyment from this book. I don't think Pierce Brown has written

anything outside of the Red Rising series yet but whenever he does, I'm

definitely willing to give him a second chance, but I probably won't be doing

that for a while. Those are all the questions for this tag. I hope you

enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching and I will see you next time.

Bye!

7 Organisms That Can Clean Toxic Waste - Duration: 11:51.

[♪ INTRO]

Humans have done a lot to pollute the world we live in,

contaminating soils and water with everything from oil to radioactive waste.

Luckily, some parts of nature have evolved to survive this pollution,

and might even be able to help us clean up these contaminants.

Using living organisms to get rid of toxic waste is called bioremediation.

It's safe and cost-efficient, and we're discovering new ways to do it all the time.

Bacteria are often the go-to bioremediators, but certain plants and animals can pitch in too.

Here are 7 organisms with the potential to make our world a cleaner place.

Fungi are so useful for bioremediation that there's a special word just for them: mycoremediation.

Fungi grow quickly and are great decomposers, using networks of

threadlike structures called mycelia to burrow into organic material like

decomposing trees and inorganic material like rocks.

Mycelia are actually the main body of a fungus;

mushrooms are just a temporary reproductive structure.

As they dig through the soil, mycelia ooze a variety of chemicals

known as extracellular metabolites.

These are enzymes and other compounds that break down molecules, including potentially toxic ones,

into pieces that fungus can digest and absorb.

Researchers who study fungi have found over 120 different enzymes

being produced by different species.

And in the 1990s, a mycologist named Paul Stamets helped develop a strain of oyster mushroom

with enzymes called peroxidases, which can break down hydrocarbon molecules

in oil-contaminated soil.

This is a big deal because oil contaminants can take a really long time to decompose,

and have all sorts of toxic effects on the ecosystem in the meantime.

Oyster mushrooms and other fungi have been deployed as an experiment to

clean up the aftermath of oil extraction in the Amazon rainforest,

and in an oil-contaminated creek in New York City.

That's something to think about the next time you're picking mushrooms off your pizza!

It turns out that cheerful sunflower plants can be great at sucking up radioactive contaminants.

After a nuclear disaster, radioactive isotopes typically stick around in soil and water,

continuing to emit harmful ionizing radiation for decades.

But some of these radioactive molecules are physically and chemically similar

to some nutrients that plants need, like potassium and calcium.

So as some plants grow, their roots can absorb the radioactive isotopes

right alongside these nutrients.

Sunflowers work especially well for this, because they can grow pretty fast

and can thrive in a lot of different climates.

What's more, they accumulate these isotopes in their shoots and stems,

making it fairly easy to dispose of contaminated plant matter.

After the meltdown at Chernobyl in 1986, a company working on the cleanup

built rafts of sunflowers with roots dangling into contaminated ponds.

The sunflower plants sucked up cesium-137 and strontium-90.

And removing those contaminants with this method cost only two to six dollars

for every thousand gallons of water, which is pretty cheap!

The method was less effective for soil, because some radioactive isotopes

can nestle tightly into tiny cavities in clay, where they're harder to extract.

But sunflowers work well enough that they've also been used to try and clean up

groundwater at a uranium-processing plant in Ohio,

contaminated springs at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory

in Tennessee, and even around Fukushima.

Bivalves are mollusks with two-piece hinged shells.

This is the group that includes clams, oysters, and mussels.

They're constantly filtering the water around them,

because they're after tiny, free-floating organisms like plankton.

But in the process, they also suck up chemicals like weed killers, pharmaceuticals, and flame retardants,

as well as removing gunky sediment and algae that can mess up ecosystems.

This can be rough on the bivalves' immune system, but in many cases they survive.

This has led to a lot of interest in restoring natural oyster

populations in places like Chesapeake Bay.

And some scientists are even experimenting with bivalves in other places in need of clean-up.

For a 2014 study, researchers looked at two bivalves:

a mussel species from California and an invasive variety of Asian clam.

They put these species into tanks and flowed wastewater

spiked with 7 chemical contaminants through them.

After 72 hours, the bivalves had sucked up and processed 80 percent of one contaminant,

triclocarban, and smaller amounts of the others.

Triclocarban is an antibacterial chemical that's often used in hand soaps.

If it's in the water supply, it'll kill some bacteria.

But any microbes in the water that happen to mutate and survive

will reproduce and be more resistant to triclocarban,

or possibly other antibacterial compounds they come across.

Which isn't good for us if they cause disease.

Plus, triclocarban can also have effects on hormones in living things.

The same group of scientists then tested their bivalves in a polluted lake in San Francisco

known to have high concentrations of E. coli bacteria.

And some strains of E. coli can make people sick.

They fed water from the lake through tanks of bivalves and took some samples of the

water going in and the water coming out.

And turns out the mussels efficiently filtered the bacteria out of the lakewater,

digesting it with no apparent bad effects.

Lead-contaminated water has been in the news a lot in recent years,

partially because of the ongoing crisis in Flint, Michigan.

Lead builds up in our teeth and bones, spreading to other parts of our body from there

and interfering with the brain, liver, and kidneys.

Which… becomes a big problem.

We've been developing filtration devices that remove lead from water,

but a recent study shows that a species of moss may be able to help.

Japanese researchers found a possible lead decontamination option in bonfire moss,

known to grow well in sites contaminated with heavy metals,

which are just metallic elements that tend to be pretty dense and toxic.

The scientists exposed the moss to solutions with

varying concentrations of 15 different metals.

About a day later, analysis with a mass-spectrometer

showed that the cells of the moss samples that were exposed to lead

had absorbed enough to make it around 74% of their dry weight.

Most of that lead was in the cell walls of the moss,

and the scientists couldn't determine the exact mechanism.

But a different analysis showed that these cell walls contained an unusually large amount

of a compound called polygalacturonic acid.

So they think it might be involved in binding lead atoms somehow.

Applying this to real-world cleanup is still in the future,

but the researchers definitely think it has promise.

Especially because the lead uptake worked across different conditions.

Who knows, maybe someday lush carpets of moss will be a part of our water treatment systems.

There's a humble-looking plant species with white flowers called alpine pennycress.

It's a member of the cabbage family, and it has an unexpected superpower.

When it grows in soil contaminated with heavy metals,

it concentrates a bunch of them in its leaves.

Like, more than 100 times the heavy metal concentrations that a typical plant can handle.

That's why it's considered a hyperaccumulator.

There are actually hundreds of hyperaccumulator species in the world,

but alpine pennycress is pretty unique.

It's one of only three species known to take in cadmium,

and the only one that can do both cadmium and zinc.

Like with lead, chronic exposure to these heavy metals

can have a variety of health impacts on humans.

Cadmium can cause severe liver and kidney problems, and too much zinc can cause vomiting,

fatigue, or mess with your immune system.

Part of the secret behind this plant's ability lies in specialized transport proteins,

although other molecular pieces are probably involved.

In most plants, transport proteins regulate the accumulation of heavy metals in cells,

letting the plant take in low levels but

rejecting them once the concentration reaches a certain point.

But alpine pennycress seems to lack this kind of regulation;

it just keeps sucking up more heavy metals with seemingly no adverse effects.

Unfortunately, pennycress plants are too small to have a big remediation impact on their own,

but researchers have been looking into how to

harness the molecular mechanisms at work.

In 2011, for example, Chinese researchers managed to express the gene for a key alpine

pennycress enzyme in tobacco, which significantly increased its ability to accumulate cadmium.

Now, that tobacco plant with an alpine pennycress gene wasn't the

first tobacco plant engineered for bioremediation.

In 1999, researchers in the UK inserted a gene from a bacteria species into tobacco.

The gene coded for a protein called PETN reductase,

which is capable of digesting two nitrogen-based compounds.

One's called pentaerythritol tetranitrate, or PETN,

and the other is glycerol trinitrate, or GTN.

Both of these chemicals are powerful explosives, and sometimes military and industrial activity

leaves trace amounts of them behind in soil.

Which is not good.

When the scientists tested out their creation,

they found that the plain tobacco plants they used as controls

could barely grow at all in soils containing even just a little bit of GTN.

The engineered plants, on the other hand, not only sprouted and grew at a normal rate,

they also absorbed and broke down the explosive compounds.

Since then, scientists have turned their attention to another nitrogen-based explosive that you've

probably heard of: 2,4,6-trinitrotoluene, or TNT.

For a 2007 study, tobacco plants engineered with both the PETN reductase gene and a second

bacterial gene for breaking down nitrogen compounds were grown in soil spiked with TNT.

Not only did the plants lower the concentration of TNT in the polluted soil, but in doing

so, they also seemed to help out nearby microbes.

Both the biomass and metabolic activity of bacteria

growing around the roots of tobacco plants increased.

And since microbes are essential for soil health, that's good news too.

Wax moth caterpillars are probably most familiar to two kinds of people: anglers and beekeepers.

They're bred and sold as premium fishing bait.

And in the wild, they eat beeswax and are a major beekeeping pest.

But a scientist and amateur beekeeper discovered by accident

that they'll also chow down on something else: plastic.

She removed some wax moth caterpillars from one of her hives and put them into a plastic bag.

And later, she was surprised to find that they'd eaten their way out.

Then she did a follow-up study in a lab, which was published in 2017.

And experiments showed that in just half a day, a hundred worms could eat

almost a tenth of a gram of polyethylene.

Scientists also smashed up caterpillars and spread the goo on plastic surfaces.

And that goo ate holes in polyethylene, too.

This test confirmed that an enzyme in the caterpillar was truly breaking down the plastic,

they weren't just chewing it up into smaller bits.

This is a big deal because polyethylene is used in a lot of packaging.

Some estimates say about 40% of the plastic products today are made of this stuff,

and it doesn't easily break down on its own.

We don't know yet exactly what enzymes are involved in the caterpillars' plastic-eating prowess,

but presumably it's the same ones they use for digesting wax.

So, the next step will be identifying those enzymes and figuring out how to

put them to work breaking down plastic waste.

Some have raised concerns that breeding lots of these

wax-eating caterpillars could put bees at further risk, but maybe their

plastic-destroying genes could be stuck into bacteria or something else.

So if science looks hard enough, there's probably a plant, animal, mushroom,

or microbe out there that can help us deal with pretty much any kind of toxic waste.

Adaptations can be pretty incredible.

The Saddest Celebrity Breakups Of 2018 So Far - Duration: 4:09.

Love often has an expiration date in Hollywood, and 2018 has already proven that even the

rich and famous aren't safe from heartbreak.

From stars who dated for just a few months to couples who'd been married for more than

a decade, here are some of the saddest celebrity pairings that called it quits in 2018.

Nicki Minaj and Nas

In early January, news broke that rap superstar Nicki Minaj and hip hop artist Nas were starting

off 2018 as newly single celebs.

According to TMZ, after seven months of dating, the distance between the pair contributed

to their split.

They'd reportedly been living in two different cities, and a source told Us Weekly,

"They were never in the same place at the same time, so it was hard to move their relationship

forward."

Fortunately, there's no bad blood between these two.

The source went on to reveal that Nas and Minaj remain friends.

Anne Heche and James Tupper

Despite being together for more than a decade, actress Anne Heche and her longtime partner,

Big Little Lies actor James Tupper, broke up in January.

According to Us Weekly, Heche filed paperwork to establish custody and child support for

their son.

The former couple had also been caring for Heche's son from a previous marriage.

In a joint statement obtained by People, Heche and Tupper said,

"Relationships change and grow; we're taking time for that.

We care very much for each other and plan to continue raising our two beautiful boys

in love and harmony."

Lena Dunham and Jack Antonoff

No one saw this breakup coming: Girls creator and star Lena Dunham and Bleachers musician

Jack Antonoff ended their relationship after logging more than five years together as a

couple.

An E! News insider revealed the split was mutual, saying,

"Jack and Lena were growing apart and it just made sense for them to end their relationship

where it was.

They want the best for each other no matter what.

They are both moving on."

Fans can rest easy knowing that neither celeb harbors any ill will toward the other.

Opening up about why she'll continue wearing a ring Antonoff gave her, Dunham told her

Instagram followers in a live video,

"I'll always wear [it] because love is a really cool, powerful, eternal thing.

It doesn't have to be defined the way we, in Western culture, define it — as beginnings

and ends."

Brandi Glanville and DJ Friese

These two are over.

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Brandi Glanville announced her breakup with her boyfriend

of one year, Donald "DJ" Friese — and, apparently, social media was to blame … Instagram in

particular.

Taking to Twitter to share the news, Glanville wrote, "Social media is ruining romance!

It ruined mine."

She later added, "Is official I'm SINGLE!

He is all urs IG hoes!

He is lovely so be nice."

Soon after, Glanville tweeted, "When IG is the real true love of your life I think you

really need to check yourself and change your focus."

Daniel Christopher Allison and Monica Potter

News that Parenthood star Monica Potter and her husband, orthopedic surgeon Daniel Christopher

Allison, ended their marriage circulated in early February.

According to E! News, Potter filed for divorce from Allison a month earlier, citing irreconcilable

differences as the cause of their breakup.

They had been married for more than ten years.

A source told People,

"[Potter is] very sad and heartbroken.

But they are focused on co-parenting their daughter."

Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston

Fans were crushed in February when Justin Theroux and Jennifer Aniston announced their

separation.

After tying the knot in 2015, the Leftovers actor and the Friends starlet seemed like

they'd be together forever.

Alas, after a little more than two years of marriage, the pair called it quits, as E!

News reported.

In a joint statement to The Associated Press, Aniston and Theroux said:

"This decision was mutual and lovingly made at the end of last year.

We are two best friends who have decided to part ways as a couple, but look forward to

continuing our cherished friendship."

Rebecca Gayheart and Eric Dane

After more than a decade of marriage, actress Rebecca Gayheart filed for divorce from Grey's

Anatomy's Eric Dane just two days after Valentine's Day, citing irreconcilable differences.

As reported by People, the couple announced the separation in a joint statement, saying:

"After 14 years together we have decided that ending our marriage is the best decision for

our family.

[...] We will continue our friendship and work as a team to co-parent our two beautiful

girls as they are the most important thing in the world to us."

Hunting $1000 in Bank Sealed Half Dollars for Silver - Duration: 8:45.

oh yeah it's time to go through $1,000 in halves today

hello everyone its Rob with Rob finds treasure once again just got back from

the Dominican Republic last night and I called my banks this morning at 9:00

a.m. and they had my half dollars still waiting for me

but anyway long story short we got him they're sitting here thought I would do

a live opening with you at least uh not quite sure if I'll make this $1,000

video yet or platted our video I guess it depends on the fines but without

further ado we'll start off with the first box here this is for the bank that

I didn't get the 19 half dollars from the silver half dollars in that one

video you saw but it's been a more consistent Bank as far as getting up one

or two or three silvers at so I'm kind of optimistic about it we'll get this

guy popped open and really I'm just gonna do a quick check for enders on

both of them and we'll see how it goes I've never really had any crazy Enders

so at the end of the day I'm not expecting to see anything to tell you

the truth it would be awesome to find one but I won't

I usually don't if I do get an ender it's on the reverse side of this and

it's as I'm opening them and I can tell you right now I don't see anything that

says hey I'm silver but at the time I had the 19 silver coins in the box there

was no editors on that one really either to speak up now this is the bank this is

the grocery store Bank I've coined it because really it's a Wells Fargo branch

inside of a Tom Thumb and the irony of it is they have been really happy with

ordering me half dollars they actually like that I come in there and pick them

up and get it every week and they don't order half dollars for anyone else or

even boxes for unless took me a while to get them to say they do it I see a marked

coin here and I see some dirtier coins but I'm not seeing any Enders to speak

up as well you know it doesn't mean anything

I guess what we'll do is you know what I think we'll get

into this box first we'll hunt this box let me go ahead and close this one up

we'll get in this one I'll flip these rolls over we'll take a look together at

the the bottoms of the top stack and the top of the bottom stack and that's all

we look at we'll start cracking into some rolls give me just a second all

right guys we have pulled about I am not seeing anything that says look at me up

a silver so with that said we'll get these coins back in this box and we'll

begin the hunt let's get to looking all right guys we're halfway through this

first box I'm rolling them up as I go and I'm not gonna lie we got no finds so

little concerning not even at nifc so far that's a little

weird could be a skunk box but there's still

25 more rolls to go through so let's get cracking into him all right guys I had

lost all hope we're on roll number 40 and looks like we might have one here

holy cow no nifc no proofs no nothing in the whole box so far looks like we

finally got something we did a 1967 40 percent silver that makes me happy

now sitting here rolling I'm going you know as you get towards the end of the

box and you not even find anything you're like well it's gonna be a scud

box but true to form I seem to always pull out something towards the end don't

we did 1967 40% silver we'll take it let's finish this roll and maybe we'll

start a whole pocket of silver in here who knows all right guys we finished

that first box you got it all rolled up here not a lot of fines just one but you

know what whenever the one coin is a 1967 40 percent silver half dollar

you'll take it I'll always take a silver over a handful of NIFC's any

day and all day how we got that one done let's crack into this second box here

we'll keep this video rolling says we didn't have a lot of fines let me go

ahead and start it you've already seen the top ender so we'll crack into it

loop you in if I find anything cool all right guys rule

number 12 got a couple interesting finds here we got our first nifc out of the

first sixty two rolls we've searched

2003 Denver I'll take it I've also got one of those tags again

got a hole in the top with the number on it pull it aside for now probably gonna

toss it back in but let's keep looking maybe there's more in there all right

guys halfway through the second box and still

no other finds other than the hole in the head one and the 2003 nifc so better

gonna struggle these two boxes so far hopefully heats up here in the last 25

rolls alright guys better late than never roll

number 43 and look at this and honestly that looks like it could be a 90

percenter so that's a little exciting let's do we got who it is definitely not

a 90 percenter but it's a 1969 we'll take it it's our second silver of the

two boxes got one in each so far very nice I will take it

we'll finish this roll yeah we'll get on to the next one I don't know guys I'm

having a hard time with this coin here

it sure looks like it's more than 40 percent doesn't it I mean the fence a

lot more silver looking the rim looks a lot more silver looking

I mean is it me or does that look like it's on a 90 percent silver planchet?

let me know what you guys think just seems like it's more silver than a

standard 40%'er maybe not maybe because I can't see the clad layer as easy I

might be thinking it looks different but it sure does have more of a silver look

to it I could be wrong but sure looks suspicious I'll leave it there for now

I'll get back to the alright guys I couldn't let it go so I went ahead and

weighed both of the coins a 90 percent silver should weigh about twelve and a

half grams a forty percent silver sure way eleven and a half grams and they

both weigh eleven and a half so it is 40% silver my eyes just deceived me all

right guys roll number 49 and look what we got here 2002 NIFC that's definitely

been C'd if you will but we'll take it it's another nifc in the box and we'll

keep looking well there you have it everyone another

box a half's hunted that makes thousand dollars and a half's hundred today and

here's what we got the show for it the guys coin with the hole in the head kind

of cool I'll be tossing it back though got to nifc is a 2002 and a 2003 we also

got two silvers one in each box the 1967 forty percent are made out of

philadelphia and a 1969 made out of denver 40% silver gave me a little bit

of confusion with the edge on it but it is definitely 40% at the end of the day

not a lot of fines but we did get one silver in each box so that's pretty cool

with me I'll always take some silver if you enjoyed the hunt please give the

video a thumbs up and as always everyone I appreciate you watching

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp wants board permission to sign Julian Draxler from PSG ● News Now ● #LFC - Duration: 2:05.

LIVERPOOL boss Jurgen Klopp is reportedly persuading the club's board to sign PSG

star Julian Draxler at the end of the season.

Liverpool battered Watford at Vicarage Road today, winning 5-0 at Anfield to boost their

chances of securing Champions League football.

The Reds' insane attack was on point with Mohamed Salah scoring four and Sadio Mane

and Roberto Firmino also producing dazzling displays.

And TransfermarketWeb say Liverpool are determined to strengthen further by landing Draxler at

the end of the season.

The PSG star could leave the Parc des Princes.

Draxler signed for the Ligue 1 giants from Wolfsburg in January 2016 and instantly established

himself as a fan favourite.

However, the Germany international has found game time tough to come by this season.

Neymar and Kylian Mbappe's arrivals have plunged him down the pecking order.

And, as a result, a parting of the ways could be on the cards.

Transfermarketweb say Klopp has been doing his utmost to persuade Liverpool to launch

a bid.

And his charm seems to be working with the club ready to make PSG an offer when the transfer

window reopens.

Liverpool have the finances to broker a deal following the sale of Philippe Coutinho.

Coutinho quit the Reds for Barcelona during the January transfer window, moving for a

huge £142million.

PSG are likely to command a big fee for Draxler but Liverpool have the might to get a transfer

done.

'I Use BTS To Get Views - Let's Be Honest' | OKAY tinashe - Duration: 9:03.

Hey, what's your boy, OKAY tinashe

so let me get straight to the point in like what the topic says and look up there and that is I use

BTS for views and let's be honest, you know I'm saying and this is something that's not only for me

But I feel that a lot of kpop reactors out there and kpop craters

People throw this at them all the time

And I just wanna start off with the reason I bring this up is because a couple of days ago

I did a reaction video on a BTS video and

I accidentally mistook

j-hope for jimin and

Obviously in the comments. He was saying you know like what the fuck Tinashe

You know that's clearly j-hope and even this was after I have a I had reacted to you know J hopes to behind the scenes

Video his entire mixtape his airplane is daydream

and you know I've been into kpop now since you know January so it's like two-and-a-half months and

Official art will call myself an army

I'll about a month and a half ago

And it like it was okay, and everything but the moment that people started saying things like I'm using this for views

That's when I started to become personal and the reason I'm saying this is because like I'm gonna be honest with you guys

Okay

um

um a

Couple months ago before I even got into this my my friends on one reached out to me boss reacts some of you guys might

Know him and he's like yo, Tinashe

Uh, I he started me doing like time when I was starting to give up as a creator

I've been doing this is like 2016 and it started to feel like I just had no one on

YouTube gave a shit about me no matter what I did no one gave a shit, and he Fifi said okay

I started reacting to these k-pop videos, and maybe you should get into it

He tried every way to motivate me to do it

You know he's like like because he saw something in kpop

that I would like and felt that I could also make a big impact in this area and as well as

Just be myself, and he kept trying. Yeah, yes. He used every single tactic you know like yeah, you should do this Joe. Oh

Look at my channel. I'm getting good have used for me, so yes in the beginning when he got me into it

I'll just like in a mom giving up something whatever I tried out within the first week probably two weeks max

like from going from I don't know what the fuck is this -

Wow why haven't I seen this before because like it just sparked my passion so freaking

And it was crazy, and then a lot of you

Who've been seeing me so that's the first started?

They've seen the growth in me and like the thing is I'm not saying don't get me feedback

I'm not saying don't don't call me out when I say something wrong

But the moment that you guys change up my morals

And and my motives for doing something ISM is the line I got a freaking cross, okay?

I mean I got a step up for myself because

Just because like it's hard for me at first it took me a while to make this video because at first old tastes

Like snow I was even pissed I was sad

I was like man what man I barely responded back to that many kindnesses

It was all gonna be the same thing you know even after I put my fucking ass off to make that whole video you know

It's like that one thing and I understand as a creator. We can't please everyone and I understand it's a time

I don't take feedback, but then the next phase all just pissed other people okay

Don't realize how much a second fries we put into this how much sacrifice

okaycome sitting you're trying to tell you guys if I only wanted to do this for the money and the views I

Would be in New York right now in Manhattan right now working at a freaking Bank?

I don't know if you guys even know what Goldman Sachs is but I had an internship there

And I got a return offer and chose not to take it because I wanted to

express myself

I mean a grab a camera and not know risk because I had enough confidence in myself

That no matter what I want to do I would succeed at it meaning

I no longer feel the need to drop on a secured opportunity a secure job

Just because I know and I don't have enough confidence in myself. No that's not me okay

I don't need to do that. I am okay with risk and just finding what I like and sticking to that the moment

I don't like something I scrap it. Okay, so I say this because a lot of kpop reactions

I feel like this is same thing. That's thrown out at you guys all the time, and it's just like come on guys

We're literally trying our best and especially understanding that kpop is

growing everywhere

Stop and stop it. You know I'm saying I'm like oh my god. It's crazy. You don't say and I say this because

Understanding people like us like if anyone who knows me

I bring this up because the whole open-minded thing because any idea this home gives to me. I'm gonna hop on it right away

I'm gonna try and kind of learn from their perspective as much as possible if I make my own opinion

And I say all this because since kpop is trying to become global I understand our me that

You have to be sometimes sensitive about it kind of like you know protective because people out there

You know probably all are using this for the views, but me personally. I couldn't have the better

I tend to see people from a better expects

The only thing is being that since its global and we're having so many diverse people

Around the same content people need to realize that there is gonna be so much so much misunderstanding

Misinterpretation because especially YouTube in general, maybe it's just because I'm starting to grow as a content creator and realizing wow

global platform from

Amazing ok my damn going off completely topic off of this, but just understanding that like as we as kpop girls

Globally there's gonna be a lot of you know new cultures getting into it so it's that barrier

Is it mean that base that line of like being open-minded?

From my perspective cuz I'm going into it which I have been I feel like if you watch my channel

I feel like I'm pretty freaking open-minded. I bring as many goddamn people. It's not about me

Boasting I think it's just the fact that I'm like outside about it

I just had to make a video to rant about it kpop rants right right right?

Like the open minded thing right where I've noticed a lot of kpop earns

And I feel like if you watch my channel I feel like I have and I'm still working every single day

I don't stop at proving myself that I am someone who is

Actually willing to learn who is trying to embrace the culture who's trying to figure out how can I take my?

different

Background and my different experience and bring it to kpop I do that every

Single freaking day like I don't think you guys realize like how much I look forward to

Waking up and doing this how much sleep we lose. I have a shit for shit goddamn laptop

I can't even afford of goddamn you one and like exporting a freaking 10-minute video sometimes takes 2 or 3 hours ok

So I'm having to plan my days like fucking crazy waking up a goddamn

You know we go to sleep around 9 waking up around 11 p.m.

So I can be up and like do you know like a 12 midnight ish to like you know 5:00 5:00 a.m.

Ish so I can post respond to comments I can edit so that when I fall asleep

Videos are ex usually when I'm sleeping. There's always a video exporting and just so much going on that I feel that sometimes

Us as creators we do such a goddamn good job of making our shit look so goddamn

Easy that sometimes you know from our audience perspective

Needing to be more transparent and did the reason why - like I didn't do the the introduction videos earlier

And I'll be honest with you guys

it's just the fact that I

It was hard to get a big group of people to do those who actually gonna stay up and be

attentive you know I'm saying you guys could look at my

nobody-nobody

Selections video like I had to do a lot of freaking editing because there were some people that were slacking and I'm not calling now

But it was hard for me to find cuz you guys wanted me to do with a group of people

But at the same time like I only know certain amount of people that I can really trust to sit down and actually

Enjoy this so that's why they also haven't been as many group reactions because I'm trying to find a new set of people

So they're just so much struggle going on like if you follow me on Twitter and snapchat

Yeah, you get to see that, but I think I'm not doing YouTube justice by updating you guys

but I say this because yes like I am sorry for doing for the same time like it's not like I just

Ignored it you didn't saying it's not like that

It was just hard for me to get a that bigger group of people that I could fully trust a fucking pain the guys never

Touch it. Yes. Yes Bible study you know saying

mysteriously god damn oh

God, I'm sorry. I'm getting super amped. I don't know

I just felt like I was sad, but now that I'm talking about something more exciting anyway guys

I just let you guys know like yes. I am doing the introduction videos. I am doing them weekly no bullshit

No matter if it was the group or if this was me another friend. Okay. Just me. I'm just gonna frickin

Do it cuz I'm Lana today. This is my channel, and I am the host so as the host

It should be my duty to inform my guests the best information possible the most accurate information of possible

It's similar for that like I said guys before on my Twitter and mother social media

I'm trying to get 1,000 guests onto my show by December 31st this year so far

I had I think 38 people in two and a half months, and we're gonna ramp that up

I need to figure out ways to get bigger groups classroom settings going on you know

I'm saying I'm on a mission

Because there's so much in this art and the genre for us to learn that we could all learn

Something and grow from it so I'm sorry Malo this lot of dishonest reason

I'm ranting cuz I'll just sad but now I'm feeling better and I'm gonna upload for you guys

So hope you guys enjoy, and yeah, have a great day. Hopefully this camera hasn't stopped huh man god damn

Introduction To Bits N Blobs TV - Duration: 1:52.

Hello and welcome to Bits N Blobs TV, the place to be if you want to learn

electronics. I'm Frenoy Osburn and today we're gonna look at what Bits N

Blobs is all about.

[music]

Having worked in the industry for a while, I realized that there's a gap

between what's taught at university versus what's relevant in the industry.

I also realized that a lot of people want to learn electronics but

they don't necessarily have the resources to get started and that's

exactly where Bits N Blobs comes in. We want to take you on a journey right from

the basic concepts of resistors, capacitors, transistors to the more

advanced things like FPGA's and building your own microcontroller

circuits. We also want to be supportive, and that means you can be part of the

community and learn from others while sharing your progress. We believe that

the best way to learn electronics is to actually start building circuits and

that's why we're going to take a practical approach in all of our content

here are just some of the things that we will be covering in the coming weeks:

Basic electronics, Embedded C, Microcontrollers, Raspberry Pi, Circuit

Design and Simulation, pretty much all the popular stuff! We also plan on

designing kits and releasing supporting material, so that you can understand how

the circuit works. All our kits are open source, meaning you have access to the

design materials to build your own. They will also be available for purchase so

that you can buy everything you need to get started. That was a sneak peek of

what's to follow. If you think that this is going to be of use to you then please

head over to BitsNBobs.com and subscribe to the email list. This allows

us to send you an email notification when we release new content along with

giving you special discounts and offers. You can also subscribe to us on YouTube

and follow us on social media. Thanks and I'll see you soon.

How Safe is New York City?🗽 (Real Talk) - Duration: 8:24.

What is up Members of the Barrio

It's Jon coming to you from New York

And today we're going to dive into a pretty serious topic.

How safe is New York City?

I have been asked this question frequently by viewers

Almost as much as I've been asked

How safe is Mexico?

And if you've never visited here before

I imagine you're a bit curious

Well what are we doing sitting here.. I think we've got to get outside

On the streets of Manhattan to

Talk more about this topic.

We are ready to go

To answer that question simply..

Is New York City safe

I would say.. yes

New York City is considered in my opinion

Quite..a safe city

But

Crime does occur here

I am not going to paint this idealistic of New York City as a spot where you will go to

And nothing bad will ever happen

To you

Because their is a chance that it could

And I could pull up some statistics to show you..

How unlikely that is

According to the daily news in 2017 their were 290 investigated homicides in the entire city of New York

To give you some perspective.. in 1990 that number was over 2,000

The crime rate in New York City has been going down for decades

That is a fact

And I'll give you another statistic

In 2017 in Manhattan-South

We're going to say midtown Manhattan to the bottom of Manhattan

Where most tourists are going to be spending the majority of their time

Their were 200 robberies reported

200 robberies that is less than 1 per day

The absolute best advice I could ever give anybody visiting New York

Or any big city for that matter

It's 5 words

Be Aware of your surroundings

And that advice actually saved my life once

I was a victim of a crime in New York CIty

On January 25th, 2013

I was in a very rough area of the Bronx

Which you will likely never go to

You probably would have no reason to go there

And.. I covered this in another video

I'm going to put a card above

If you want the full story

But.. I was walking in the street

And it was at night

I was heading to the subway

I was fully aware of what was going on

I saw commotion ahead of me

Somebody pulled a gun

Tried shooting someone else

I was in the wrong place

At the wrong time

And I got hit.. over my left knee cap

I am fine

It was not a bad wound at all

It sounds scary

I'm not trying to scare you guys

But I am saying I was aware of what was going on

I dove for cover after

If I had headphones on

And I wasn't paying attention

I might have walked right into a shooting

Right there at point blank range

This is an extreme situation

I don't think any of you will ever have to face something like this in your life

But it just goes to show you that..

Awareness can help you

See what's going on

And have time to react

If a crime was to occur

But this is a remote possibility

I will tell you that almost everyone I know in New York City

Has never had any issue with crime

But now I'm actually going to provide you with

Some tips

From someone who's lived in New York for more than 6 years

That I think will reduce your chances

Of running into a problem

When you do visit this fine city.

Tip number one if you are a single woman..

After mdnight I probably wouldn't take the subway

Here's why

The subways in New York City run 24 hours

a day

7 days a week

But at night. They run slower

People have a higher chance of being intoxicated

Also there's less people in the subway station

You have the opportunity to be waiting for a train 30 minutes

At 2 in the morning

There's a lot of things that could go wrong

I would advise any of my female friends

Coming to New York

If it's after midnight

I'd probably just take an uber or a taxi

Personally I usually take taxis after midnight

If you did have to take a subway

Late at night

Go where other people are

Go into a crowded subway car

Don't isolate yourself

Tip number 2

Be aware of what is going on.. when are you taking a subway

Let's say during the day

If the train is really crowded

Know where your backup is

Make sure nobody is meddling with it

Know where your wallet is

For extra safety

When a train is approaching

I don't like to stand very close to the platform

In case you slip

In case somebody bumps into you

Or god forbid in case somebody would shove you

Which is extremely rare

But it has happened

In New York..

It's always one of those things for me

I don't like to stand right up against the tracks

Against the platform

When the train is approaching

If you are young.. and you are out in certain areas of New York

The big party districts

People may come up to you and offer you drugs

On the street

Just ignore them

Walk away

They will not follow you

Trust me

Another thing you'll notice in New York is that panhandlers

May come up to you.. asking you for money

You might walk past people asking you for money

My best advice

Avoid eye contact

Or politely say no

If you do want to donate to homeless people

To try to help them out

Their are many organizations where you could do that

And know the money is going to an important cause

Do not be careless with your belongings

Let's say you're at a bar.. you're at a cafe

Don't leave your cellphone unattended and go to the bathroom

Don't leave your laptop unattended and go to the bathroom

Always know where your things are

If you're going to make yourself an easy victim

People might take advantage of you

If you don't know the city well

You've got to be extra careful

And I would say

Don't wear headphones at night..

Walking in places you don't know well

Or places you think might be a little bit..

Unsavory

I have a friend of a friend

Who was leaving a subway at 11 PM

Had headphones on

Somebody approached him. Punched him.

Freak assault

But.. if he wasn't wearing his headphones

He may have been a tougher target

And that bad thing wouldn't have happened to him

Again this is not to scare you..

But if you don't know New York to well

And you're walking around at night

I don't recommend you have headphones on.

And be in your own world.

This is a very nice street by the way

Love the west village

Great place to stroll around and vlog

For people visiting the city for the first time

And arriving at one of the area airports

A good tip

Do not accept rides.. from unmarked taxis

I even saw when I arrived at JFK last time

Somebody was holding an uber sign

An uber decal

I've never seen that before

I don't know if that's a scam or not

But either call an uber officially

When you get outside

Or go to one of the marked taxi pick up spots.

Take somebody who's licensed

I don't care how much money they say they're going to save you

You're definitley taking a risk doing something like that.

One final word of caution to my younger viewers

If you do like to go out at night

You want to party

Just be extra careful..

I think there's always chances for fights late at night

For things to happen

For tension

For arguements to occur

Steer clear of that

And always be aware

Of what's going on

The goal of this video

Was not to scare anybody

In fact.. it's to encourage people to visit New York city

Because it is one of the safest big cities

In the entire world

I have met so many folks.

Who have visited here

With 0 incident

They loved it

They loved the people

They loved the vibe

But you've got to keep some of the things

That I talked about

In mind

Just to lower your risk of running into any trouble

If you're from New York

Or you've visited New york

Or you've got questions

Tell me in the comments

Any other safety tips?

Is their anything I missed?

What were your experiences.. in New York City like

I'm very curious

Alrigt guys make sure to subscribe

If you are new to this channel

We're going to be exploring New York more

Over the course of the next month

I'm going to try to uncover..

Some things that..

I have never filmed before on this channel

The Sims 4: Reality show "The Survivor" - Jungle Adventure - Part 2 [Machinima] - Duration: 10:45.

This is the temple, where the treasures of Omiscan are hidden.

When I get rich, I'll buy myself shoes made of natural materials that do not rub my feet...

Where? Where are the treasure chests?

Passage to the lower levels of the temple is closed by some strange force field.

Maybe I can go through it?

Surely there is some kind of puzzle here!

So, now we have:

4 bowls on the pedestals covered with glyphs,

An impressive statue of an animal.

Cat or mouse...

Eh... whatever.

A strange device with a lever,

Also, there is a swimming pool. Which is very handy!

A bar counter.

Wait. The bar counter. How?

And where does this come from?

Apparently the Omiscans were a very developed civilization...

So ... I'll try to pour sand into one of the bowls.

Damn, now I'm covered in ashes!

Maybe I should try another glyph? For example the sun.

"Oh, Mr. Sun, Sun! Mr. Golden Sun! Please shine down on me! "

W-what was that?

I almost pissed in my pants...

Oops... Not almost.

What a stink! I need to swim.

It's good that there is a swimming pool here. I don`t even know why I got scared.

I wonder if all this technique works? Wake up, Henry!

Wow! Latin music. Awesome!

DJ Greens rocks! Oh yeah!

But, the passage is still closed.

Heh. Almost like in the Vegas. I'm betting on the Tree.

I push the lever ... And ...

Ouch! What the hell is this?! It's not funny anymore!

I'm feeling weird.

Maybe I should try a leaf symbol.

Woohoo! I think I got it!

Passage is open!

This is the road to wealth.

I feel sick.

What? Are you kidding me?

I'm sick of all these Omiscan stuff.

But Henry does not give up so easily!

Wonderful. All the same set ...

So. The sun. The tree ... Hmm ... the leaves multiply by sun... minus the square root of the tree ...

That's bullshit! Maybe there are some hints here?

Ugh! I'm terribly stinking!

Why is this guy here? Smile!

Picture. What is it like? ... As for me, it looks like a two-color feces.

Although, in the background, it looks like the sun's rays.

I think I got it right.

Have patience, Henry. Soon you will find a treasure ...

Here! Here he is my little chest! Go to Daddy!

A wooden stand and some bone dust...

Oh my! Bottle of soda! Here is the real treasure!

And again the closed gates. I'm getting used to it.

These guys were serious about protecting their treasures ...

No. I won't touch the lever. I've had enough.

And who is this?

Let's see. African type of face. Full lips. Bulbous nose.

Um ... What can I say, buddy?

You have a nice carvings, man!

I hope this isn't another room with traps ...

This chest looks different! I hit the jackpot guys!

I found 2.8 thousand, a relic and a valuable artifact with precious stones!

But it's still early to leave. I am hopeful I can unearth some valuables here.

Wow. I think I'm hallucinating

The skeleton that dances salsa ...

So...the psychiatric hospital is not far away. I'm overtired.

I need to sleep.

Do you know what is the good news? Near the temple there are two bushes.

In the first you can relieve yourself, and in the second you can sleep.

It's almost five stars, guys!

After a couple of hours of sleep, I felt better.

The morning greeted me kindly.

Believe me, nothing will cheer you up like a few bee stings in the morning!

I washed off some dirt, swimming in the pool

and finished with the remaining excavations.

There's nothing more to do here!

It's time to return.

But I think I took a wrong turn.

I have to fight with vines again.

It's not a road to the town. But, the place is just magical!

I want to swim here naked!

Who can see me here anyway! It's the wild jungle!

It feels amazing!

As if there is some kind of magic in this ancient place.

Who is this?!

Judging by the slaps, she is local ...

I think I'd better put on my swimming trunks.

Look! Did she really jump into the pool in her shoes?

Weird granny. Better stay away from her.

Here is another pass.

I wonder what's there?

This filthy vines again... Then some attacks of wild bees and I got into an unusual location.

It seems to be ancient Omiscan gardens.

Many fruit-bearing plants are still growing here.

Black beans, avocados and plantain trees

as well as trees with Berries of Emotions. I'm sick of them.

Also the chest was a pleasant surprise

What if I try to assemble the base with the bird's head?

Wow! However, something is still missing.

I returned to the baths. The restless old woman was still here.

Why is she here? I'll go talk to her.

Hi! I'm Henry Greens. Explorer and adventurer.

- You are too young. You haven't saw anything yet.

Yeah, I have not yet seen the old ladies swimming in shoes at night.

It turns out that these pools were used by ancient queens for rejuvenation.

Soon, another fan of the night bathing in pink shoes came to swim in the moonlight.

Is it a wild jungle or a place for meeting crazy retirees?

The second young old woman was called Kiara.

She was a nice old lady and we talked all night long.

Kiara told me about local culture and legends.

She laughed when I boasted that I fully explored the Omisсan temple.

"It is impossible to fully explore this temple," she said.

In this temple there is still ancient magic and it is constantly changing.

And every time there will be new traps and a new treasures.

"Endless treasures?" "It sounds tempting, doesn't it?"

And even if someone says that it is foolish to believe the old lady who swims at night in the pink shoes,

Nevertheless, I decided to check this legend and again went on the road to the temple.

That's incredible. However, the temple has really changed inside!

Look at this tree! It was not here before.

English is not my native language so please forgive me for some mistakes!

Trey Gowdy Smells A Dirty Rotten, Money Laundering Liberal Rat In Washington — Leaves Dems

Shaking In Their Boots

Obviously we all realize that Hillary is a criminal.

We likewise realize that she has kept up her opportunity from arraignment and indictment

through a lot of political strategic maneuvering.

Since it would have been sad for the Democrats to have Hillary go down in a criminal trial,

impact hawking, outrageous power legislative issues, and dodgy arrangements have kept her

a free woman.

Up until now.

Enter Mr. Gowdy.

Instead of being harmed, he would likely end up plainly well known as the person who at

last put Hillary away.

Regardless of whether he is effective stays to be seen.

Be that as it may, he is now pressing together the fact that Hillary and the DNC laundered

cash through a law office to get money to Fusion GPS that made the defamed Trump dossier.

So Hillary stays in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Appearing on Fox News Sunday, Gowdy said that the Clinton campaign and the DNC might have

committed money laundering through the law firm they hired which paid Fusion GPS to do

opposition 'research' on then-candidate Donald Trump.

"'I'm not an election law expert, but the good news is you don't have to be to

understated the absurdity believing you can just launder all of your campaign money by

just hiring a law firm,' Gowdy told Wallace.

'Imagine if you and I were running for Congress, and we just hired a law firm and said

"Hey, you go to all the opposition, you go buy all the television, you go buy all

the bumper stickers, you go hire all the experts, and we will launder all of this through a

law firm."

I can't think of anything that defeats the purpose of transparency laws more than that.'"

Democratic Party officials say that they can't recollect who approved these assets to be

channeled through a law office to pay Fusion GPS.

Mr. Gowdy isn't buying any of that.

"'I am interested in that, and I am also interested in sharing some memory tricks with

folks at the DNC because no one can remember who paid $10 million dollars to a law firm

to do oppo research,' Gowdy said.

'I find that stunning.

$10 million and no one can remember who authorized it, who approved it.'"

Trustworthiness, or for Hillary's situation, an absence of honesty makes a distinction.

What's more, Mr. Gowdy does not have all the look of being a man who surrenders so

easy.

Will he be the person who at last brings Hillary down?

We can trust him do to that, right?
