Hey I'm Jonah Hill.
I'm taking The Genius Test to figure out how well I know mid-90's hip-hop.
I'd say my love, appreciation, reverence for the golden era, boom bap era of hip hop is
so deep and so profound and it is a huge part of who I am.
Method Man.
Stevie Wonder.
I just remember everyone bumped that song, like "Gangsta's Paradise".
I also remember the Weird Al version was really sick.
I remember "Amish Paradise" as much as I remember "Gangsta's Paradise".
That was maybe one of the first times I understood that songs were sampled.
"Get Your Walk On".
Oh no, "Paparazzi".
The first day when I got my license in LA.
The first song that I listened to when I drove by myself. It's like a big moment.
I put on "Shrooms" by Xzibit.
Cousin.
I loved Geto Boys but like, you could just feel like what was Atlanta was through the
music.
You could feel it drip into your ears.
Lil' Kim.
I mean Foxy Brown!
Fuck.
Whatever, that's not really my shit.
10.
I mean 'Illmatic' it's like, I know that like I know the back of my hand I guess.
DJ Premier.
2Pac, Lil' Kim, Vanilla I– 2Pac?
Like if you were just a big fan of music you know, I don't think you're gonna get caught
up in that.
You know?
And I was just a kid.
I wasn't like, throwing away my East Coast records.
You know?
'Blunted on Reality'.
Oh I got it!
Hype Williams.
I love 'Belly'.
I watch 'Belly' on the regular.
Actually, you guys have the exclusive on this.
Before Phil and Chris directed '21 Jump Street', I wanted Hype Williams to direct
'21 Jump Street' and it didn't work out.
But, the sequence where they are in Jamaica in 'Belly' is like one of my favorite
sequences of a film.
Camp Lo!
That song was in the movie and we had to cut scene.
It was such a bummer.
Editing is killing your babies, you know?
I had written every song.
And I had written the scene of them in the car to "Luchini" and I was so hyped to
flex and then I had to let it go.
So, it will be on the DVD.
I think I got two wrong if I'm being real honest.
No because I did get 'Blunted on Reality'.
Thank you very much.
I'm grateful.
Everyone thought, "You're gonna be scared to know your knowledge."
I thought it was gonna be way harder than this.

The Two People We're All Related To - Duration: 9:32.
You have the materials inside you, right now, to unlock the story of your deep, distant
ancestry.
And also mine.
That's partly because you have mitochondria in your cells.
And you got them only from your mother, not your father.
And if, on your 23rd pair of chromosomes, you have an X and Y, like I do, rather than
an X and an X, then you got that Y chromosome only from your father.
Together, these two facts mean that there's an unbroken line of mothers and mothers'
mothers who passed down the DNA in their mitochondria for hundreds of millennia, creating a biological
thread that connects you to a single female ancestor, regardless of your gender.
And it also means that there's a lineage of fathers and father's fathers who passed
on their Y chromosome, uninterrupted, leading back to a single male ancestor.
Now, I know what this might sound like.
I'm not talking about the first two people.
I'm talking about two humans who lived at different times in the distant past -- about
200,000 to 300,000 years ago.
I'm talking about two people who never met, but who, because of this odd quirk of genetics,
combined with some unique evolutionary circumstances, managed to pass on a very small fraction of
their genomes to you.
And to me.
To all of us.
And this is an incredibly powerful tool for studying where we all came from.
We're only beginning to understand the legacy of these two people to whom we're all related
-- a legacy that goes back some ten thousand generations.
Let's talk about where this legacy begins, in your own cells.
Your mitochondria are the small structures that produce energy for your cells.
And they're relics from the time, more than two billion years ago, when our ancestor was
single-celled.
And at some point, it engulfed another single-celled organism and started using it as an energy
supply.
As a result, mitochondria today still have their own, if very short, genomes.
This is your mitochondrial DNA, or mtDNA.
And it's only passed down from the mother, because egg cells have lots of mitochondria,
but sperm cells only have a little, and they're destroyed after fertilization.
Meanwhile, the Y chromosome is the smaller of the two sex chromosomes, X and Y.
People with an X and a Y, instead of two X's, are physiologically male.
And there's a reason we study mitochondrial genomes and Y chromosomes to understand our
ancestry.
Actually, two reasons.
Because they have two important things in common:
Their genomes are both pretty short, and they also don't recombine.
Here's what that means: In the process of creating sperm and egg cells, our chromosomes
line up and exchange information.
Matched pairs of chromosomes swap arms or legs with each other.
This molecular do-si-do is known as recombination, and it means that offspring will have a slightly
different combination of genes on each of its chromosomes than its parents had.
This is basically how sex creates new genetic variations.
But Y chromosomes are much smaller than X's.
And unlike the rest of our chromosomes, it doesn't match its partner.
So it doesn't recombine with the X.
And the mitochondrial genome doesn't recombine with anything either.
Because it doesn't have a partner to combine with.
All of this means that these two snippets of genetic information get passed on, almost
unchanged, from parent to offspring.
Which makes them traceable through time.
So for decades, scientists have been studying these two bits of information.
And they tell two stories about our history that are slightly different but still complement
each other.
For example, one of the most important things we've learned about ourselves from mitochondrial
DNA is the story of human migration.
Even though it's passed on from mother to child without recombining, mtDNA does slowly
accumulate mutations.
And as those mutations get passed on within a population, they start to form a genetic
pattern within that group.
This allows scientists to organize us into genetically similar groups, called haplogroups.
Anyone who's used a DNA test kit has heard of these.
So if you and another person share most of these mitochondrial mutations, then you belong
to the same haplogroup.
And, decades of research into mtDNA has shown that the vast majority of haplogroup diversity
exists inside Africa.
For example, there are several haplogroups that are only found in Africa, or among people
of African descent.
These are groups like L0, L1, L2, and L4, 5, and 6.
But!
The whole rest of the world is represented by parts of only one haplogroup!
That's L3.
So if you're of non-African descent, you belong to L3, which contains lots of subgroups,
like K, M, N, and R, which are found among populations outside Africa.
But there are even more subgroups of L3 found within Africa.
So what does all of this tell us?
Well, for one thing, it's taken as genetic evidence for what's known as the "out
of Africa" hypothesis -- the hypothesis that modern humans originated in Africa, and
spread throughout the world.
This model was first developed by anthropologists around the 1980s, based on skeletal evidence
-- specifically, the earliest anatomically modern humans that were found in southern
and eastern Africa.
And today this mitochondrial data is seen as molecular support for that idea, starting
with a famous paper published in the journal Nature in 1987.
That paper detected the first signs of these genetic patterns, based on mtDNA sampled from
just 147 people from five different geographic populations.
But among other things, that study showed us that there's such a great diversity of
haplogroups in Africa, because that's where our genetic populations are oldest.
So when a small group of people migrated out of Africa, they only represented some of the
genes in the total human gene pool.
Those migrants became the founders of their own genetic lineages, found within the haplogroup
L3.
But there was still an older, source population in Africa that they used to be a part of.
Now, we can also use changes to our mitochondrial DNA to estimate when certain lineages split
off from each other.
This method is known as the molecular clock, which we've mentioned before.
It's based on the idea that mutations occur in mtDNA at a pretty regular rate.
But since that rate of change isn't the same across all of humanity, the clock needs
to be calibrated, like with the help of well-dated fossils and even the DNA of ancient fossil
humans.
Using this method, scientists have traced the mutations in all of the major lineages
of people from haplogroup L3 that appear outside of Africa.
Where those non-African groups converge in time, we find the earliest humans that left
Africa.
And the data suggest that this happened around 70,000 years ago.
And going back even further, it appears that all known haplogroups converge at a single
female ancestor who lived roughly 200,000 years ago.
So our mitochondrial ancestor can tell us a great deal about where we came from, and
when.
But we also have to talk about what she can't tell us.
She isn't the first woman of our species, or the first anatomically modern human, or
anyone really special, for that matter.
For one thing, there's evidence of modern humans as far back as 300,000 years ago in
northern Africa.
So we know our species was around long before this woman lived, for thousands of generations.
But their mtDNA just didn't make it to the present day.
The fact that the one woman passed on her mitochondrial genome to all of us is really
just a matter of chance.
Think of it this way: In any given generation, a woman might have sons but not daughters.
And if she only has sons, that means none of her mitochondrial DNA will get passed on.
So our mitochondrial ancestor is the only person who managed to have one or more female
offspring, who in turn also had female offspring, in an unbroken line, for the past 200,000
years, by sheer chance.
Now, naturally, there are lots of limitations to what mtdna can tell us.
The dates they provide us aren't very precise.
And the genomes themselves are small, representing a tiny fraction of the information that's
in our whole genome.
And, of course, they only tell us about half the population: females!
So while mtDNA was crucial as an early source of genetic data, as sequencing methods started
to improve, scientists began studying the other non-recombining stretch of DNA: the
Y chromosome.
Much of this work was done in the early 2000s.
And, just as mtDNA can shed light on the growth and spread of certain maternal bloodlines,
the Y chromosome can tell us about the migration patterns of some groups of men.
For example, a pair of studies in 2010 and 2013 sequenced both Y chromosomes and mtDNA
from 2,740 people across Indonesia.
And the results showed that a surprising amount of Y chromosome DNA came from far away -- like
China, India, Arabia, and even Europe -- especially in Indonesia's western islands.
On the island of Borneo, for instance, the presence of the Y haplogroup known as O-M7
seems to be the fingerprint of immigration of men from Han Dynasty China, about 2,000
years ago.
But!
In those same men, their mitochondrial DNA more closely resembled local haplogroups.
So that suggests that, at least over the past few thousand years, men had been arriving
from elsewhere and pairing up with local women.
And, when it comes to how far back this Y chromosome goes, the latest molecular clock
calibrations now suggest that our Y chromosomal ancestor lived from about 200,000 to 300,000
years ago.
Much like with our mitochondrial ancestor, this guy must have had at least one male offspring,
who in turn had more males, in an unbroken line for hundreds of millennia.
Now, we don't really understand why these two individuals left the indelible mark that
they have on our genomes.
One idea is that there might've been a boom in the human population around 200,000 years
ago in Africa, when our species happened to be doing very well for itself.
If that were the case, then the offspring of both of those people may just have been
more likely to survive, and pass on their DNA.
Or, in the case of our Y ancestor, it could be that he had a sorta Genghis Khan thing
going on, having many many many kids, some of whom were sons who also went on to have
many many many kids.
But the story that these two people can tell us ends when they were born, because we can't
trace their genetic trail any further back in time.
So, to probe the origins of anatomically modern humans, we need earlier sources of data.
Remember: The Y chromosome and the mitochondrial genome represent just a small fragment of
the human genome.
To understand the whole range of human diversity, we need to study...the whole range of human
diversity.
Luckily, this is the 21st century, and we no longer have to sequence tiny stretches
of individual genomes by hand.
We can sequence whole genomes, and quickly.
So as our technology and methods improve, we may soon be able to reach beyond the lives
of these two ancestors, into the even deeper past.
But even when we do, each of us will continue to carry the molecular legacy of one man and
one woman, who managed to make their mark on all of humanity.
Thanks for joining me today for this truly amazing story.

Why Do Batteries Taste Sour? - Duration: 3:24.
[♪ INTRO]
You've probably been told at some point in your life not to test a 9-volt battery
by sticking it to your tongue.
But if you're a rebel and you ignored that sage advice,
in addition to the slightly painful shock you received,
you might have noticed the battery tasted almost sour, kind of like lemonade.
Thankfully, that flavor wasn't battery acid,
it was actually the taste of the electrical current from the charged battery.
When you touch the little knobs or leads of a 9-volt battery on your skin,
you don't feel a shock because your skin doesn't conduct electricity
well enough for a current to really flow.
When you touch them to your tongue, on the other hand,
your saliva has no trouble completing the circuit.
Once this circuit closes, electrons start moving out of one lead and into the other,
creating an electrical current.
And on the way, they can interact with the water molecules and basically
rip them apart in a process called electrolysis.
Current entering your saliva from one lead creates hydrogen gas, leaving hydroxide ions behind.
And current leaving your saliva through the other lead creates oxygen gas,
leaving hydrogen ions behind.
These hydrogen ions are what sour taste receptors in your taste buds pick up on;
they're also found in acidic foods.
And that sourness dominates the flavor because while hydroxide ions can taste bitter or soapy,
your tongue isn't as sensitive to them.
But... not all electrical currents taste the same, or even sour.
A charged nine-volt battery happens to provide the right jolt to cause a sour taste,
but smaller shocks can be sweet, spicy, bitter, or even savory at times.
That's because your other taste receptors can be activated with the right combination
of current and temperature, a phenomenon appropriately called electric taste.
By tinkering with the strength of the current, the temperature of the leads delivering it,
and accentuating small shocks with artificial smells or colorful lights,
scientists can trick you into tasting all sorts of flavors.
In one 2016 study, for example, they were able to make plain oatmeal or water
taste sour, bitter, or savory using a specially-designed spoon and bottle.
But electrodes aren't able to recreate all of your favorite dishes just yet because
faking complex flavors is tricky business.
Stimulating the same types of taste receptors results in a stronger perception of the taste,
but different taste receptors like sweet and sour can cancel each other out.
Bitter and sweet flavors also seem to be harder to get right for reasons that aren't entirely clear.
And ultimately, the flavor you taste when eating is determined in your brain.
And that means it can be influenced by everything from the weight of your cutlery
to the music playing while you eat.
So it might be awhile before you can get your taste buds on some electro-sweet-and-sour chicken.
But hey, at least now you know that sour battery flavor was just the taste of a short, sharp shock.
Though, for the record, please don't lick batteries.
I mean, come on. That's just common sense.

Amazing Foods You Never Thought To Order At Chinese Restaurants - Duration: 4:42.
There's a lot more to Chinese cuisine than General Tso's chicken.
These dishes have been hiding in plain sight, but once you finally take the plunge, you'll
wonder how you ever lived without them.
Chow fun
In the mood for lo mein?
Try ordering chow fun instead.
You'll be surprised by how well this dish of flat, wide rice noodles cooked in a perfectly
light coating of sauce hits the spot.
Less over-the-top saucy than many other Chinese takeout dishes, chow fun is an ideal choice
for highlighting good noodles and great protein like beef, chicken, tofu, or shrimp.
This Cantonese favorite of fat, fluffy noodles is stir-fried with your protein of choice
in a thick and delicious sauce.
As far as Chinese takeout dishes go, chow fun is worth revisiting time and time again.
All the Asian greens
In case you need a reminder, Asian greens are delicious.
Fresh tasting and savory, greens like bok choy, Chinese broccoli, and choy sum are prepared
in a couple of super scrumptious ways at most Chinese restaurants.
Whether they are gently steamed and paired with pungent oyster sauce or stir-fried with
ginger, garlic, and sesame oil, these greens are not to be missed.
The next time you're dining at your local Chinese eatery, be sure to order one or two
dishes of greens for the table.
Xiao long bao
Xiao long bao is a Shanghainese speciality of steamed soup-filled dumplings.
They are often served directly from their steamer baskets in groups of four, six, or
ten.
Served with Chinese vinegar on the side, these delectable little dumplings burst with juicy
pork broth when you bite into them, causing an unbelievable explosion of amazing flavor.
The best way to eat them?
Place one on a spoon, poke a hole in it, and take a bite.
Hopefully your spoon catches all that delicious broth.
Dan dan mein
Dan dan mein, also called dan dan noodles in the United States, is a wildly popular
street food in the Sichuan region of China.
Think piles of fresh noodles served in chili oil.
Some versions of this iconic dish include minced pork, mustard greens, or pickled veggies,
and others even boast extra ingredients like peanuts, scallions, soy sauce, and tongue-numbing
Szechuan peppercorns for an extra burst of flavor.
While there are many versions out there these days, dan dan noodles will always be distinctive
for their long, tender strands of noodles and fiery chili oil.
Ma po tofu
Ma po tofu is a must-order item for any self-proclaimed Chinese food connoisseur.
This dish consists of, obviously, tofu, but it's topped with boldly flavored minced pork,
which defies logic for vegetarians.
Fortunately, it makes perfect sense to this dish's legions of obsessive eaters.
Steeped in broth and tons of chili oil, ma po tofu is not for the faint of heart, as
it is beyond spicy.
If you love to sweat over your food as much as we do, then this dish is right up your
alley.
Go for it the next time you find yourself in your city's Chinatown.
Shumai
A mainstay of dim sum, shumai is a delicious dish of steamed pork and shrimp dumplings,
although the pork can also be paired with minced scallop or crab meat.
A thin layer of dough is wrapped around the savory filling and steamed in baskets.
While you will always find shumai served during Chinese brunch, chances are your favorite
far east eatery offers them any time of day.
So if you see this one on the menu, don't hesitate, your tastebuds will thank you.
Fried wontons
Sure, egg rolls are a staple Chinese restaurant appetizer, but they're not the only fried
delights on the menu.
Next time, skip the rolls and ask for a plate of fried wontons instead.
For a starter to share, egg rolls are pretty filling, wontons, on the other hand, are smaller
and come in larger quantities, making them feel more like a snack than a full-on appetizer.
Fried wontons are often served with an addictively good red-hued sweet and sour sauce alongside
for dipping.
Yum!
Hainanese chicken rice
A popular dish in China as well as other parts of Asia, Hainanese chicken rice is a no-frills
foodie favorite.
The preparation is delicate and nuanced like the taste of the chicken itself, but never
fussy.
The chicken is cooked at a low simmer until it's completely cooked through, and then it's
submerged in ice cold water until the skin pulls away from the meat.
Served with tender heaps of rice cooked in chili sauce and the broth from the chicken,
the dish is the ultimate comfort food.
Chicken feet
Chicken feet, also called "phoenix claws" for obvious reasons, are a Chinese delicacy
if there ever was one.
And, sure, our western palettes may find their appearance and texture a little jarring at
first.
But if you push past your preconceptions, you're in for a unique and tasty treat.
Chicken feet are prepared differently in different parts of China.
While they are frequently fried, steamed, and stewed in most cases, there are variations
out there that are simmered in sauce as well.
The intense cooking process renders the skin and tendons soft and easy to consume.
If you've never had the luxury of tasting authentic Chinese chicken's feet, do yourself
a favor and change that, ASAP.

Mitch McConnell Under Attack At Restaurant! | TMZ Live - Duration: 6:20.
HARVEY: THERE IS A DEEP DIVISION
ABOUT THIS IN THE NEWSROOM.
MITCH MCCONNELL, THE MAJORITY
LEADER OF THE U.S. SENATE,
SENATOR FROM KENTUCKY, WAS
CONFRONTED ANGRILY OVER THE
WEEKEND AT A LOUISVILLE
RESTAURANT WHERE A PATRON WENT
WILD ON HIM.
CHARLES: YES, MITCH AND HIS WIFE
WERE HAVING DINNER ON FRIDAY
NIGHT.
HARVEY: I'M GUESSING IT'S A
CUBAN RESTAURANT.
CHARLES: I THINK THAT'S, HAVANA
RUMBA, CUBAN CUISINE, IN
LOUISVILLE.
THEY WERE ENJOYING THEIR MEAL
WHEN, SUDDENLY, ANOTHER PATRON
WALKED UP TO THEM AND WENT OFF
ON THEM VERBALLY AND ALSO ON A
DOGGIE BAG.
WHY DON'T YOU GET OUT OF
HERE?
[INDISCERNIBLE]
I'M GOING TO SELL IT TO TMZ.
THEY THREW THEIR LEFTOVERS AT
THEM.
HARVEY: THIS WENT ON AND ON AND
ON.
BUT THERE WAS SOMETHING THAT
HAPPENED BEFORE THIS WOMAN, WHO
YOU HEARD WAS SETTING HER SIGHTS
ON TMZ AS SHE WAS RECORDING IT.
CHARLES: IT'S GREAT THAT SHE GOT
THE VIDEO.
SHE MISSED THE PART, ACCORDING
TO SEVERAL WITNESSES, WHERE THE
GUY WALKED UP AND GRABBED THE
SENATOR'S DOGGIE BAG AND THREW
IT OUT THE DOOR YOU SEE BEHIND
HIM THERE.
THAT'S WHAT GOT THINGS HEATED.
I HAVE TO SAY, FOR SENATOR
MCCONNELL, HE SEEMS REALLY
RELAXED.
HARVEY: HE KEPT HIS COOL.
CHARLES: ALMOST NOT REACTING TO
THE GUY AT ALL.
HARVEY: I THINK HE IS LOCKED AND
LOADED WITH SITUATIONS LIKE
THIS, ESPECIALLY IN THE CLIMATE,
THAT HE KNOWS IT'S GOING TO
HAPPEN.
I THINK THE SENATOR PROBABLY
HAS TO KNOW THIS IS DEFINITELY A
POSSIBILITY IN TODAY'S POLITICAL
CLIMATE.
HE IS HARDLY THE FIRST
REPUBLICAN LAWMAKER OR MEMBER OF
THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION TO HAVE
HAD THIS HAPPEN TO THEM.
CHARLES: WE HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN
TIME AND TIME AGAIN.
WHAT THE GUY INITIALLY WAS
YELLING AT HIM ABOUT WAS SOCIAL
SECURITY AND HEALTH CARE.
HARVEY: THE AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.
SO, WE GOT BEN STEIN --
WE TALKED TO A BUNCH OF PEOPLE.
CHRIS CHRISTIE THOUGHT IT WAS
TERRIBLE.
POLITICON WAS OVER THE WEEKEND
IN L.A.
BEN STEIN JUST WENT OFF WHEN HE
SAW THIS ON TMZ.
BEN: DISGUSTING, MOB RULE,
ANTIFA IS BECOMING LIKE THE
BROWNSHIRTS IN THE EARLY DAYS OF
THE NAZI PARTY.
THERE HE, -- VERY DISGUSTING,
SHOCKING BEHAVIOR.
YOU DON'T SEE THIS AS MAYBE
DEMOCRACY IN ACTION?
HOLDING OUR ELECTED OFFICIALS
ACCOUNTABLE?
DEMOCRACY IN ACTION IS
VOTING, NOT VIOLENCE.
I HAVE BEEN A BIG STUDENT OF
WORLD WAR II AND THE RISE OF THE
NAZI PARTY.
THIS IS EXACTLY HOW THE NAZIS
STARTED OUT.
PRETTY SURE THE NAZIS DIDN'T
START WITH THROWING AWAY A
DOGGIE BAG.
HARVEY: THERE IS A POINT HERE.
CHARLES: AT WHAT LEVEL OF
DISCOURSE --
I HAVE A COUNTERPOINT.
THE COUNTERPOINT IS, MAYBE THE
NAZIS WOULD HAVE NEVER COME TO
POWER IF SOME PEOPLE WOULD HAVE
THROWN THEIR STUFF AWAY, INSTEAD
OF GOING ALONG WITH THINGS THAT
WENT ON --
HARVEY: THAT'S LIKE SAYING THE
JEWS SHOULD --
I'M NOT SAYING THE JEWS.
CHARLES: THAT'S NOT WHAT HE'S
SAYING.
HARVEY: HERE'S THE THING.
YEAH, EVERYBODY HAS A RIGHT TO
PROTEST AND EVERYTHING ELSE.
YOU CAN HAVE BOTH SIDES.
YOU CAN HAVE PEOPLE DURING THE
OBAMA ADMINISTRATION SAY THAT
GUN CONTROL, TO THEM, IS AS
DANGEROUS AS REPEALING THE
AFFORDABLE CARE ACT.
I DON'T BELIEVE THAT, BUT THERE
ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE WHO THINK
THAT GUNS ARE THE FOUNDATION OF
THE COUNTRY.
SO, THEN THEY START SHOUTING
DOWN EVERYBODY ELSE.
AT A POINT, IT BECOMES, A, WHITE
NOISE, AND, B --
IT'S NOT THE WAY YOU WANT THE
POLITICAL SYSTEM TO RUN.
CHARLES: YOU WANT PEOPLE ON BOTH
SIDES TO VOICE THEIR OPINION AND
STRONGLY VOICE THEIR OPINION.
HARVEY: BUT TO WALK UP AND
BERATE SOMEBODY IN A RESTAURANT
--
FIRST OF ALL, I HAVE A
QUESTION.
DOES MITCH MCCONNELL HAVE SECRET
SERVICE?
SENATORS DON'T GET THAT?
HARVEY: I DON'T THINK HE DOES.
I BELIEVE IT --
AS THE MAJORITY LEADER, HE
SHOULD HAVE SOME SORT OF
PROTECTION.
THERE ARE DIFFERENT MEMBERS OF
THE SENATE VERSUS THE PRESIDENT.
THERE IS MORE LEEWAY IN TERMS OF
HOW MUCH CONTROL THEY GET.
MY POINT IS THIS.
I DON'T AGREE WITH THROWING THE
MAN'S FOOD AWAY, MAN.
WHEN YOU ARE LEAVING AND
THINKING ABOUT THE RIDE HOME AND
YOU ARE GOING TO WARM THAT UP --
HARVEY: IT'S NOT ABOUT THE FOOD.
CHARLES: YOUR POINT IS, VOICE
THE OPINION, BUT LEAVE INNOCENT
FOOD OUT OF THE WAY.
I DON'T BELIEVE IN VIOLENCE
OR ENCROACHING UPON PERSONAL
SPACE.
DON'T PICK STUFF UP OFF MY TABLE
AND THROW IT AWAY.
YOU DON'T HAVE THAT RIGHT.
MITCH MCCONNELL IS A PUBLIC
SERVANT.
THEY CAN TELL HIM WHEREVER THEY
WANT.
HARVEY: ABSOLUTELY TRUE.
I THINK THE COUNTRY IS GOING TO
HELL WHEN IT IS JUST BERATE,
BERATE, RATHER THAN TALK, ON
BOTH SIDES.
IT HAS JUST GOTTEN RIDICULOUS.
HI.
I'M CHRISTIE.
I'M FROM MANCHESTER, NEW
HAMPSHIRE.
REGARDING YOUR INTERVIEW WITH
BEN STEIN OVER THE WEEKEND, I
AGREE WITH HIM ABOUT 10,000%, IN
THAT THE RHETORIC FROM THE FAR
LEFT GROUPS LIKE ANTIFA, IT'S
JUST VIOLENT IN AND OF ITSELF.
IT IS FORCING VIOLENCE ON
OTHERS.
IF ANYONE ON EITHER SIDE WANTS
TO EFFECT CHANGE, I HIGHLY
RECOMMEND CIVIL DISCOURSE,
WRITING YOUR SENATOR OR
REPRESENTATIVE, INSTEAD OF
ASSAULTING OR ACCOSTING YOUR
LOCAL SENATOR, ESPECIALLY WHEN
THEY ARE OUT DINING WITH THEIR
FAMILIES.
AND DON'T TOUCH THEIR FOOD.
ALL ACCOSTING PEOPLE DOES IS
MAKE YOU LOOK UNHINGED AND
UNREASONABLE.
I JUST THINK IT NEEDS TO STOP.

Her sweet nature puts her guests at ease, even when she asks them uncomfortable questions
about their dating lives or pregnancy status.
Unfortunately, not even DeGeneres' quick wit, humor and laid-back demeanor could salvage
these awkward moments.
From a thieving audience member to a Kanye West rant to a bizarre misunderstanding with
Ryan Seacrest, some of these segments are more cringe-worthy than comical.
Kanye West
In May 2016, Kanye West literally left DeGeneres speechless.
She asked him if he has regretted anything he's tweeted, and the rapper launched into
a rant lasting more than six straight minutes.
His tangents included everything from his artistry to fashion design to bullying to
race to Facebook.
"Whatever perception you have of me.
Starting with the truth, starting with what everyone is thinking."
"I'm like… whatever, whatever your friends might say.
'We saw Kanye, how was he, did he like…'"
It was clear that at a certain point, DeGeneres decided to just sit back without interjecting
and let him get everything off his chest.
"Everybody's trying to…
I don't give a f--- how much you sold.
"It's like I'm shaking talking about it.
I know it's daytime TV, but I feel that I can make a difference while I'm here."
In light of the psychotic breakdown the rapper suffered six months later, his rant on Ellen
has morphed from something originally interpreted as silly to somewhat dark and sad.
"They call me Whacko Kanye.
Isn't that so funny?
That people point fingers at the people who have influenced us the most."
Jessica Simpson
In May 2017, singer Jessica Simpson gave an interview with DeGeneres that was such a trainwreck,
the hostess couldn't keep a straight face.
Simpson started off the interview slurring and sounding slightly out of breath, insisting
to DeGeneres that she wasn't pregnant.
"No.
We got an IUD… nothing's gonna get in that uterus… uh-huh, okay."
It got worse from there.
She discussed mermaids not being allowed to pee on her children, the definition of "manhandling,"
and the duration of her relationship with her husband — which was a bit unclear.
Seven years now.
Well, coming on seven years… that's a long time."
She mentioned that her husband may or may not give her massages while he's sleeping,
and then discussed her billion dollar fashion empire.
"Somehow you have a billion dollar business…"
"Isn't that awesome?
It can happen for anybody!"
DeGeneres broke the fourth wall several times to give a look to the viewers at home, but
she eventually cut to a commercial to put Simpson and the audience out of their respective
miseries.
Caitlyn Jenner
DeGeneres confronted Caitlyn Jenner about her conservative views on marriage equality
in a September 2015 sit-down that forced the transgender activist to later clarify her
opinions.
"I kinda like tradition and it's always been a man and a woman.
And I'm thinking, 'I don't quite get it.'"
She went on to say that over time, she doesn't want to, quote, "stand in front of anybody's
happiness."
"If that word 'marriage' is really, really that important to you, I can go with it."
DeGeneres, who's married to Portia De Rossi, gently pointed out that the word "marriage"
is in fact important because she wants the same word that everyone else has.
"So equality is important for all of us."
After the episode aired, Jenner wrote on her website,
"Like many people, there was a time when I didn't realize how important it is for gay
couples to have the right to get married.
After hearing from my gay friends and learning more about the hardships they faced because
of discrimination, it became clear to me that everyone should be able to marry the person
they love."
Katy Perry
In 2017, pop superstar Katy Perry appeared on Ellen to play "Will You Perry Me," a version
of "Who Would You Rather."
Before the game began, the singer whined...
"Do I have to get married?
Again?"
Apparently, Degeneres forgot Perry ever had a husband.
"You were not married…"
"I was, when I was 25."
"Were you?"
"It's been a long time, honey."
"To who?
To who?
"His name was Russell Brand…"
"Oh, that's right, I forgot about Russell."
Visibly wanting to change the subject, Perry motions to the producers behind the scenes
in an effort to cut the segment — but to no avail.
"Remember, you gave me some wedding gifts on this show….
"Cool cool cool cool cool."
Nicole Kidman
In this 2017 episode, actress Nicole Kidman perfectly shades fellow guest and Food Network
star Giada De Laurentiis.
The ladies begin by making artichoke arancini, which they roll into balls.
DeLaurentiis asks DeGeneres if she's ever, quote, "made any kind of balls," and DeGeneres
breaks the fourth wall, turning to the crowd for laughs.
DeLaurentiis then asks Kidman if she's ever made any balls….
"This is a family-friendly show."
Moments later, DeLaurentiis appears to be impressed with Kidman's arancini ball rolling…
"Oh my god, the woman who can't cook made the perfect ball!"
"It's a good ball."
When it's time to actually cook the balls, Kidman asks DeLaurentiis where the timer is
and rolls her eyes when DeLaurentiis informs her there is no timer.
"So this is pizza dough from my restaurant…"
"OK, you're opening a restaurant?"
"There's many great cooks in the audience, am I right?"
"Yes, right."
Once DeGeneres and Kidman sample DeLaurentiis' finished plate, they are not impressed, to
say the least.
DeGeneres chews for a while, and Kidman gives a visibly flustered DeLaurentiis her review...
"It's good."
"It's a little tough."
"Nicole it's been sitting there for like 5 hours!"
"I didn't do anything!"
"Ellen jail"
In a June 2017 segment designed to see just how honest her studio audience is, DeGeneres
caught several would-be thieves.
She set up a table with free swag and a sign that instructed audience members to only take
one item.
Most audience members were honest and didn't take more than one item … but then there
was Nancy.
Nancy takes a cup, a keychain, a shirt, and a shot glass, and then when her friend asks
her if she's taking extra swag, Nancy tells her to "shut up."
when.
A bit later, Nancy returns one of her stolen items and swaps it out for a hat.
Unfortunately for Nancy, DeGeneres calls her out in front of everyone.
"My sister couldn't come, so that was her souvenir.
Sorry."
"Yeah, yeah.
A lot of people's sisters couldn't come."
DeGeneres then makes Nancy sit in "Ellen jail" on the stage.
Ouch.
Ryan Seacrest
In January 2008, Ryan Seacrest appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on her birthday and
gave her a Bingo game for them to play at her regular game nights.
Toward the end of the segment, Seacrest finds a small gift bag near his seat.
"What's that?
More gifts?"
"I don't quite, I don't know what that is."
"What?"
A horrified Seacrest clearly thinks the blue metallic bingo marker is, well, something
much more inappropriate for daytime TV.
"I don't know what that is!"
In his best attempt to change the subject, Seacrest tries to play some bingo.
"Alright, uhh, G-51!"

Wonder Woman 1984 Release Date - Charlie's Angels, Terminator 6 - Duration: 6:40.
sure enough as I predicted just yesterday competing Studios wasted no
time jumping on the release date that Wonder Woman abandoned a mere 24 hours
ago because it's still an amazing release date the movie that opens here
well now it's two movies but these movies have the entire month of November
and basically until frozen two hits for Thanksgiving and it's difficult to find
you know weeks you know a stretch of weeks where you're not gonna have a
competing movie come in and try and cut your cut your audience off and I still
maintain that while wonder one does seem like a summer property they should you
know they just should have kept this release date because it was so good
rather than push the movie back so far and because it's such a good release
date that only added to the you know the negative feeling about abandoning it
right like this is prime real estate why would you abandon it to push your movie
you know no it's like way more than a year away but anyway I'm surprised at
the movies that did take the spot it's a Sony's Charlie's Angels and Paramount's
Terminator 6 who not only both grabbed the date but are now in a strong
position to seriously ride Wonder Woman's coattails as a result and wait
till you see how they're gonna be able to shape the narrative now and it
actually really is a reversal of fortune for two films that I think most people
had already written off oh it's brilliant and make no mistake taking the
Wonder Woman release date is something that both movies and the press will
certainly play up again as the Association really is a reversal of
fortune for the films and I want you to remember some of you might be like Oh
grace it would be uncool for the studio and/or the talent to directly reference
Wonder Woman they don't have to movie PR is very carefully orchestrated so the PR
departments for the studios and the PR reps for the talent can encourage the
comparison right and since comic book movies get so many clicks anyway the
media will be inclined to make Wonder Woman a part of the conversation even on
their own you see it happen all the time at junket interviews for small movies
right it's like oh I'd like to talk to you about this smaller scale movie that
doesn't have quite the same reach but let me ask you some question
about your you know this other project that you're involved in it's much bigger
you know or just a film that I'd like you to comment on you see it all the
time and Wonder Woman of course is a much bigger headline than Charlie's
Angels or Terminator 6 right and it's like on their own but taking Wonder
Woman's date you know and how they compare which I'm going to show you in
just a moment there's the story that's a really that's a that's actually a very
good story okay so Charlie's Angels as I tweeted earlier today putting another
female action or on this date with another female director well you know
not only I think will make Wonder Woman look bad if this movie succeeds right it
will even further strengthen that Wonder Woman should have stuck to her guns and
you know you know held her ground but it will allow Sony to elicit strong Wonder
Woman comparisons perhaps even setting up Charlie's Angels as a new generation
of modern Amazon's right Anna listen to the banks who's looking to solidify her
position as a female director outsider for more niche pitch perfect movies I
mean it doesn't have the audience with something like Wonder Woman right won't
benefit from being compared to patty Jenkins I'm sure you know I'm sure these
they'll all be very gracious and you know they'll allow other entities to
make the you know the comparisons and shape well wait till we get to James
Cameron but shape the conversation that the way that would benefit these two
movies furthermore in a PR move that Wonder Woman could have used Charlie's
Angels can even pull frozen to into the conversation in a friendly way making it
a banner month for kick-ass women oh we're so honored to share this month
with Elsa and Anna right right you can see the story and even pull it make it a
whole year of kick-ass women with Captain Marvel whether she likes it or
not Wonder Woman is going to be a part of this conversation because she of
course got this party started so for her to abandon it when she when she was
supposed to attend is not an ideal look then there's Terminator six which of
course features the return of one of the first and most iconic female action
heroes Linda Hamilton as Sarah Connor you can also tie in here the success of
Jamie Lee Curtis his recent return in Halloween which the trades are already
doing right a role Jamie Lee Curtis is role which itself has shades of stearic
and suddenly you know Jamie Lee Curtis you know the return of Sarah Connor
Wonder Woman right again this is a really interesting conversation the new
Terminator also features some other kick-ass women with McKenzie Davis as a
soldier assassin and on Natalya raised along with a strong Latino play thanks
to its cast in Mexican setting Deadpool's Tim Miller direct so you know
at the very least we'll have some amazing action sequences but of course
James Cameron is also returning and as I'm sure you recall he was very vocally
critical of Wonder Woman even getting into a little bit of a fight with patty
Jenkins I see no reason that he'll back down
it's James Cameron after all especially if he now has an opening where he can
boast that he's stepping up where the Wonder Woman team stepped down it's just
an easy shot right and I can understand that many of you right now are typing
justly Wonder Woman alone grace look with movies these days especially comic
book movies especially DC movies right they don't have the luxury of existing
in a vacuum there's too much to gain for Studios talent and the press to not
include Wonder Woman in the conversation all Wonder Woman and Warner Brothers can
do is work to shape that conversation and Warner Brothers is doing a very poor
job with that and has put you know a significantly weakened Wonder Woman with
this release date change obviously the movie needs it and so I hope that
ultimately everything works out but it's it's it's gonna put Wonder Woman through
you know talk about going through no-man's land it's gonna put her under a
heavy fire which I don't think you know I don't believe was necessary it must it
must really be necessary to make her have to go through this so share your
thoughts down below I know a lot of you were very passionate about this I would
want to see Wonder Woman succeed so it's frustrating to me to put I think
unnecessary and extra obstacles in her way
so again share your thoughts down below and of course as always you can check
out some more videos right now

These hydrogen ions are what sour taste receptors in your taste buds pick up on;
they're also found in acidic foods.

BINOMIAL THEOREM » how to use the Binomial Theorem & Pascal's Triangle Shortcut | Math Hacks - Duration: 14:43.
The binomial theorem can be a tedious theorem to implement that's why today on Math Hacks
I am showing you the techniques that I use to simplify the process and stay organized in
Today's tutorial you'll learn not only what the binomial theorem is
You'll also learn about some quick and easy checks
You can use to avoid errors and a shortcut that will greatly reduce the amount of computations you need to make.
When you crack open your textbook or do a quick google search for the binomial theorem
You're going to stumble across a formula that it's a bit confusing the first time you see it
So we have a lot going on here in this formula we have Sigma notation to represent
Summations we have the choose formula from combinatorics
we have all sorts of exponents and variables and
factorials going on and
You're thinking this looks like a lot of work just to multiply some binomials together
But bear with me it will pay off in the end. Plus I'm going to show you some shortcuts to help you get through
What could be a really long problem. So let's go ahead and do an example
Let's expand X minus 3y to the fifth
So what this means is that I want to multiply X minus 3y with itself five times
And if you've ever multiplied out
Binomials, you know that for the first two or three binomials you multiply together. It's not too bad
But as we add on this fourth and fifth and so on it can get pretty nasty
And that's something we really don't want to do. So that's why we have this formula
So to apply this formula
The first thing I want to do is figure out what my a and b are so a is the first term
So in my binomial here a will be X. So I'm just gonna write a
Underneath it
And then my B is going to be
Negative 3y and it's important that you take that negative sign
Along with you when you do this expansion
The third thing I want to look for is the power
so the N in this case, my n is 5
so what we've found, is that a
equals x
B equals negative 3y n
Equals 5 so for the first term in our binomial expansion, I'm going to start with K of 0
that's what this Sigma notation here means and I'm going to plug in these values for the rest of my variables and
Use 0 for K. So the first term is going to look like
So what I have here is 5 choose 0
Multiplied with X to the 5 minus 0 power and negative 3 y to the 0 power
Notice how I have the parentheses here and have the exponent on the outside
that is a really important step because you want to make sure that this exponent is being applied to both the
coefficient and the variable now what we would do next is go through and
increment K to 1
So now I'm going to do the exact same thing and plug these in except for put 1 for K
Since we're going to have 6 of these terms you can already see that
This is gonna take a couple rows if I start writing it
horizontally, so what I want to do here just to stay organized is I'm going to write each term in a column as if they
Were mini problems and then I'm just going to add together all of the answers to those miniature problems
So below this I'm going to write out the second term
So again, these values are going to stay the same and I'm going to use a K of 1 this time
Now you may notice a little pattern here
We have 5 minus 0 in this first one on the exponent which is 5 and we have 5 minus 1 here
Which is 4 so what's going to happen here is
The first term as we go through is going to count down from the degree
Which is 5 in this example
So it's going to count down from 5
- 4 - 3 - 2 - 1 - 0 and our second term is going to count up from 0 to 5
You may also notice that the K value is going to be
incrementing each time by one so instead of going through this process of
Entering everything into this formula each time. It's really easy to make mistakes that way. So what I would recommend doing here is
writing out
the parenthesis
Placing the 5 the X and the negative 3y for the rest of the terms
so you're always going to have one more term than the
Degree of what you're expanding.
So since this is 5 I'm going to have 6 terms so I'm going to just quickly write out four more of these below it
Okay, so now that I've copied down the parts that are gonna remain the same and all of these little miniature problems I can go
ahead and
Increment my numbers. So let's start with the K value
So the K starts with a zero, and then it goes to one. This one will be two
three four and five
And you should end up where the last two numbers are the same
Now let's go ahead and do the powers on X. So I started with five
For this one's going to be three
two
One and zero and you should always end with zero in this column
and then for the last one for negative three why we're counting up from zero, so we have 0 1
2 3 4 and 5
And what I like about doing it this way is it prevents me from making some really silly
Transcription errors when I try to just write it all out
one at a time another quick check that you can do just to make sure that you haven't made any errors is
The powers on your two terms should always add to the power that you're working with
So 5 plus 0 is 5
4 plus 1 is 5
3 plus 2 is 5 2 plus 3 is 5 1 plus 4 is 5 and 0 plus 5 is 5
Now that we have outlined all of the little miniature problems. We need to solve the next thing to do is to simplify them
So we're going to solve each of these
problems
So I promised you shortcuts and I have another really important shortcut here
So the next thing we need to do is take care of each of these little problems
now the first part of the problem is to
Solve 5 choose 0 and that comes from our combinations formula
Which we have outlined up here and what we would do is we would plug in 5 for n and 0 for K
So we'd have 5 factorial over
5 minus 0 factorial times 0 factorial then we would go through and apply the factorials cross-cancel
And get an answer and if that is the way that your teacher is requiring you to solve these problems
Then I would definitely do it that way
If you need a little more explanation of the combinations formula, I have another tutorial on that.
But today I'm talking all about shortcuts. So the shortcut that you can use here is instead of using the
Combinations formula which our theorem tells us were supposed to use we can use Pascal's triangle
So the first thing I need to show you is what Pascal's triangle is now
It's really easy to make what you do is you start with a 1 and then below it you write
Two other ones and on the outside of each row
You're going to write a 1 so we'll put another set of ones here and then in between I'm going to just add together
Add together the two numbers above it
So I get 2 let's do another row set up 1 on the ends and then I would add
Like this so 1 plus 2 is 3 and 2 plus 1 is 3 it's again another row I'd do ones
Pascal's formula is really awesome because it tells us exactly
The numbers we would get if we went and solved each of these choose formulas
so how it works is you're going to make your Pascal triangle and you're gonna keep doing these rows until you have
the same number of rows as
Terms, so see here. I had 1 2 3 4 5 6 terms
So I've made 1 2 3 4 5 6 rows and it is this six row that we're going to be working with another
Way to look at this is that if you are
Expanding to a power of five then it's going to be one more than that number
Now all we have to do is match these up with our formula. So 5 choose 0 is 1
Just cross this out and put 1 isn't that nice and in five choose one is going to be 5
5 choose 2 is 10
5 choose 3 is 10
5 choose 4 is 5
and 5 choose 5 is 1
So we've already taken care of skipping out on all of this math that we'd have to do and being able to directly evaluate those
The next thing I want to do is go ahead and simplify anything to the zero power
Because the zero power always equals one. So this just becomes 1 and down here. This just becomes 1
Alright, so things have already gotten a lot easier now. I'm just going to go through each of these problems and simplify them down
So for the first one
I have 1 times X to the fifth times 1 so that's just going to be X to the fifth and
The second problem I have
5x to the fourth
times negative 3y
And I can multiply the 5 and the negative 3 together. So this one turns out to be negative
15 X to the 4th Y
The third problem, I have 10 X cubed negative 3y squared
So write that
so here is going to be 9y squared when I apply that power of 2, so I have 10 times 9 which
Is 90 X cubed Y squared
For the next one again. I have 10
x squared and
negative 3y cubed
When I multiply out the negative 3 3 times with itself, I get negative 27 Y cubed
So negative 27 times 10 gives me negative
270 x squared Y cubed
Five
x to the first power and
Negative three Y to the fourth
so both of those with the fourth, I could write it like that and
when I multiply out negative three four times with itself, I get positive 81, so this becomes
5x
times 81
Y to the fourth and then oh this this is kind of big one
We have five times 81, of course
You could pull out your calculator or you could go ahead and do a little mental math trick here
we have five times eighty plus five times 1 so 5 times 80
Oh, that sounds kind of hard but when you think about it
It's really just 5 times 8 times 10, right because 8 times 10 is 80. So 5 times 8 is 40
Times 10 is 400 plus that 5 times 1 so we get 405
And for our last term here
We have 1 the X went away times negative 3 y all to the fifth
so all I need to do here is
Multiply out negative 3 5 times and for that one. You might want to pull out a calculator
When you insert in the calculator you get negative
243 Y to the 5th. All right, so we have found all of the terms and
Our last job here is just to sum them all together
I
Went ahead and wrote in plus signs in between all of the terms
but of course where I have a negative coefficient
I could have just written a minus sign here. And that's the best way to write the answer
So I'm just going to quickly do that
And it's always a good idea to double check everything before you finish
so make sure that all of your powers on each term add to
the degree that you started with, so five in this case and when I do that
I see that I already made a transcription error. So on this one, I have x squared Y squared that only equals four
So I know right away that I made a mistake and yep when I look back here. It looks like I wrote down a
Squared here instead of a three
So easy to do on these type of problems, so you always want to check
Let's fix that
All right. So now checking it. I have 5
4 & 1 3 & 2 2 & 3
1 & 4 & 5
Looks like it all checks out

Jose Mourinho did THIS at Chelsea before Manchester United kick off - Duration: 3:21.
Mourinho has been in charge of Manchester United for the past two seasons, having lost his job at Chelsea in December 2015
The Portuguese boss is still revered by plenty of the Blues fans for his two successful stints as manager
Mourinho has won the Premier League title three times with Chelsea but is yet to replicate that success at United
He headed into today's game under plenty of pressure following a mixed run of results of late
And he was spotted ahead of kick off speaking to Chelsea midfielder - and his former player - Cesc Fabregas as both teams warmed up
Mourinho spoke to the Spaniard and, as he headed back towards the Stamford Bridge tunnel, was approached by Maurizio Sarri
The pair had a brief chat before Mourinho disappeared towards the United dressing room
Ahead of kick off, Jose Mourinho said: "[I want to show] my respect for the players, and people that supported me every day of my life at Chelsea
"I cannot promise but if my team scores a goal but I will try to behave. "If we win I will try to be respectful because that's the way they were always with me
"If they are not respectful because I am now the Manchester United manager, that's another story

Top 10 Scary Cemetery Worker Stories - Duration: 8:35.
If I had to try and scare myself as quickly as possible, I probably wouldnt put on a horror
film, Id probably go to the nearest graveyard.
Theres just something unnerving about them, especially when youre alone.
Well, imagine being a cemetery worker - its literally their job to be alone, in a cemetery,
at night.
Sounds like my kinda nightmare.
Will it now be yours too?
Lets find out - Im Danny Burke and this is the Top 10 Scary Cemetery Worker Stories.
These all come from reddit so if you hear me say a name, its their username.
Alright lets get into our number 10 which is Blue Eyes.
This one comes from Hotsheethotel.
He said that when he was in high school in the late 70s, he and his best friends worked
in a cemetery as groundskeepers.
It was their job to trim the hedges and keep the grounds tidy.
They often had to remove dead flowers or notes from graves but one day they found something
truly shocking - a naked dead body.
It was a young woman around the same age as them, she was a student at a neighbouring
high school.
She had been left neatly with her arms at her sides on that foggy morning.
She had been strangled right there - her killer had punches her several times in the face
before she died.
The police identified her quickly, but her clothes were never found and her murder never
solved.
He and his friend got grilled by the police but they quickly realised the boys were just
as shocked and confused as everyone else ...
Moving on to number 9 we have The Fresh Corpse.
This one comes from Adelvetica.
She said that one night, she drove up to her usual spot when she noticed a white car blocking
the road.
She parked behind it, got out of her car and started walking up the hill to her office.
As she made her way up the brick path, she looked ahead so see someone in the lamplight,
slouded against the railing with their head down.
At first she thought it was a homeless person, not an unusual occurrence.
As she got closer though, she realized something was seriously wrong.
She realised they werent alive.
It was the body of a woman with a noose tied around her neck - there was blood everywhere.
The way she was sitting made it look like she had been placed there.
She called the police who found a suicide in the car that was blocking the road.
It was from a former nurse who had recently lost her daughter.
After that night, she decided she couldn't work in a cemetery anymore …
Moving on to number 8 we have The Eggplant.
This one is just straight up weird.
It comes from Punxatowny.
He said that one day, about 30 minutes before a funeral, someone showed up and was seen
standing near a freshly dug grave.
He thought nothing of it and thought they had just shown up early.
About 10 minutes later, he got a call from her manager.
They told him someone had put something inside the grave.
Confused, he went to investigate.
There, in the grave, he found an eggplant.
Inside the ggplant he found a picture and some strips of paper with strange words written
on them.
The names on the paper did not include the person being buried.
He and his co workers became convinced it was voodoo …
Next up at number 7 we have The Sisters.
This one comes from FunDirector.
He said that their town had two elderly sisters who were inseparable - they did everything
together.
They never married and lived together their whole lives, taking care of each other all
the time.
When one of their friends died, they came to the funeral.
After the sermon, he ushered everyone over to the casket.
Sister one waved at him and is sitting there holding sister twos hand.
He and his co workers took this casket out.
He starts getting everyone into their cars when suddenly, he realises the two sisters
are still sitting there.
He walks over and asks if everything is alright.
Sister One calmly tells him that Sister Two had died during the funeral service but they
didnt want to make a fuss at their friends funeral.
Some people might call that respectful - actually no, thats just creepy.
What do you guys think?
Next up at number 6 we have The Gravedigger.
This one comes from Barkingpanther.
He said his Dad was a gravedigger in the 60s.
One summer day, his Dad and his friend were digging graves in a field next to the cemetery.
He was digging 5ft away from a half finished grave when his shovel hit something - it didnt
feel or sound like a stick or a root - it was something different.
He pulled it up with his shovel and to his horror - it was a legbone, a femur by the
look of it.
They began to dig more and soon found more bones, then he found a skull, then another.
Thats when they quit.
After contacting the police, they found out they had happened upon a mass grave from the
Spanish flu epidemic in the early 20th century - that wasnt good enough though and they vowed
to never dig graves again …
Next up at number 5 we have the Exploding Casket.
This one comes from OprahLuvr.
She said she used to be the head of maintenance and labor at a very large cemetery.
Quite often, they would have to exhume old graves and re settle them, due to the fact
that most graves werent buried properly before about 1920.
The scary thing was though, these old coffins had a chance to practically explode.
In the decades since the burian, methane gas from the decomposing body would fill the tightly
sealed casket.
During the exhumation, it would only take a small knock from a shoven to loosten the
lid and then boom - the entire casket explodes - Ill leave the gruesome results of that to
your imagination …
Moving on to number 4 we have Cremation.
This one comes from Mad Muncher.
They said they worked in a cemetery for around 7 years.
One day they were working in the crematorium and had just loaded a coffin onto the charger
- the device that slides the coffin into the cremator.
He walked around to the computer to check the temperature and press the start button,
when he got back to the charger, the coffin was hanging off and about to fall - that was
strange because he put it on straight.
The green light flashed and the coffin began moving forward, then it got snagged began
hanging out.
Flames began running up the side of the coffin and he had to practically wrestle it into
the cremator.
To this day he believes that the person really didnt want to be cremated …
Next up at number 3 we have the Kidnapping.
This one comes from Adelvetica, the same person who we talked about earlier.
She said one night she was sitting in her truck while her co worker was in the office
finishing some paperwork.
As she sat thee, an old man came to the door and asked aout finding a grave.
She opened her mouth to respond when all of a sudden, an old woman jumped in through the
side door, pointed her finger at the man and screamed -THAT MAN KIDNAPPED ME, GET ME AWAY
FROM HIM!
DON'T LET HIM EVER TOUCH ME!- … she looked sane but in total panic.
The man looked shocked and began walking away, seemingly lost for words.
She asked the man what was going on - he could barely talk but muttered something about her
having Alzheimers and how hard it is to care for her.
Then, he got into his van and just left.
When she walked back to the truck, the old woman was gone.
Her co worker said that she had flagged down a random vehicle and got inside.
Then, the man slowly drove past, smiled and nodded, as if none of it had happened at all.
No thanks.
No thanks to all of that.
Moving on to number 2 we have The Flowers.
This one comes from Seagullalumni - great username by the way.
He said that in one of their mausoleums, they had some crupts with enough space for caskets
to go in one after another.
He gave the example of one casket going in first, then the hole is sealed and then years
later they put another family member in after opening it again.
This was pretty normal and nothing out of the ordinary happened.
People would often put flowers in the crypt before its sealed.
One night, they opened a crypt from 25 years ago and to their shock, they found real, fresh
flowers lying inside.
There was no way someone could get in to do that, especially without being discovered.
Everyone was too freaked out to even talk about it …
And finally at number 1 now we have The Smiley Face.
This one comes from the Warlockk.
They said they were weed whacking at the cemetery they worked at one day.
A woman with two kids walked up to him and said shed found a weird box in a Walmart bag
buried by the baby section.
He walked over there and found a wooden box.
It had been carved with the a heart and a smiley face.
There were crossed bones drawn behind the heart.
He opened the box to find various items like broken glass, blue cloth and a button - a
strange mix of objects.
He took it to his boss who in turn took the box to their local priest.
They concluded that it was witchcraft and urged him to not pry into the matter any further
...
Too scary?

These hydrogen ions are what sour taste receptors in your taste buds pick up on;
they're also found in acidic foods.

Trump Admin Finally Admits There's NO EVIDENCE Obama Had Trump's Wires Tapped - Duration: 4:08.
In March of 2017, Donald Trump dropped a bombshell from his Twitter feed, when he said that Obama
had his wires tapped at Trump Tower, during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Now, anyone who wasn't a diehard Donald Trump supporter immediately knew that this was not
true.
There was no evidence to back this up.
Nobody in the intelligence community could find any record of this ever happening.
The only thing that did happen, obviously, was Carter Page, who was under surveillance,
made a phone call from Trump Tower, perhaps to Trump Tower.
He was intercepted because that was the order on him, but there was nothing on the President
of the United States, who at the time was just a candidate for President of the United
States.
Well actually, late last week, the U.S. Department of Justice, trying to I guess bury the story,
actually came out at the end of the day and said, "By the way, there's absolutely no evidence
whatsoever to back up Donald Trump's claims that Obama had his wires tapped.
We looked at it.
We've examined that.
We've investigated it.
We spoke to James Comey.
We spoke to everybody else involved at the time.
None of them have any recollection or record or evidence or proof to back up anything that
Donald Trump said about having his wires tapped."
That, again, is coming from Donald Trump's Department of Justice.
Nowhere in the records, nowhere in the court filings, which have to happen if you tap somebody's
wires, there is nothing.
There is no evidence.
Now I'm sure, immediately, we're going to see conservatives, once they understand that
this story actually happened, they're going to come out and they're going to tell us that
it was because Obama did it illegally.
Of course, there wouldn't be a paper trail.
Of course, there'd be no witnesses or they would all deny that it happened, but if in
fact it did happen, where are the recordings?
Because why would you tap somebody's wires and not record them or not transcribe them
or not keep any records?
There's no point to do it, if you're not going to do anything with that information.
There's no evidence to back up what the President said.
I mean, on any given day, there is no evidence to back up anything the President is saying,
but that hasn't stopped him from repeating these lies.
All this story is going to do is get him even more pissed off at his own Department of Justice.
We've seen him attack, Jeff Sessions on Twitter, in interviews, all kinds of things.
This is going to be no different.
He's going to get mad at them for coming out and admitting that the President lied about
this, because this was a big lie for Donald Trump.
You know, one of the biggest ones to start his administration, March of 2017.
He'd been in office a month and a half.
Put this out there, got Republicans all into a frenzy.
They wanted investigations.
They hated Obama more than ever, and it all turns out it was based on a lie, a crazy lie
from Donald Trump.
That's kind of the underlying issue here, is Trump had no reason to lie about this.
He had no reason to even say that.
It wasn't like it was a topic of conversation of, maybe this thing happened.
"Oh, Trump, say something.
What's your opinion?"
The guy just said it.
He just woke up in the morning that day, made it up in his crazy little mind and tweeted
it out.
That's what happened, ladies and gentlemen, and that's not my opinion.
That's pretty much what the DOJ told us last week.
Trump made up this claim for no reason.
If you still support this man I cannot recommend enough, please go seek out your nearest mental
health professional, because much like the President, there's gotta be something wrong
if you can stand by this guy who lies to your face all day long and still think he's best
for this country.
