I love muffins and pistachio muffins are one of my top three favorites.
I'm Tess and come join me as I make some easy and delicious homemade pistachio
muffins.
(intro music)
There are a couple secret ingredients in these pistachio muffins.
The first is a box of yellow cake mix and I'm using Duncan Hines. The second is
a box of pistachio instant pudding and pie filling and I'm using a generic brand.
In a large bowl I'm sifting the cake mix simply because it looks a bit
lumpy and then adding in the pistachio pudding mix and mixing all together. In a
separate Bowl I'm mixing the wet ingredients. I have four eggs that I'm
whisking and adding in some sour cream, vegetable oil, water and a little almond extract.
Giving everything a good mix. This is optional but I'm adding in some
green food coloring. Another good mix to combine and then I'm adding my wet
ingredients to my dry ingredients. Mixing everything together just to combine.
I don't want to over mix. Right before I'm done I'm folding in about a quarter cup
of crushed pistachio nuts.
I have my oven preheating to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I lined my muffin pan with
cups and I'm filling them about 3/4 of the way full. I like a bit of crunch on
the top so I'm combining some crushed pistachio nuts and some turbinado or raw sugar.
This sugar comes from the first pressing of the sugar cane and has a
slight molasses flavor. This sugar will give you that sugary crunchy crust on
top of muffins, cookies and baked goods because it does not dissolve into the batter.
I'm drizzling a little over the top but you can add as much as you like.
Baking at 350 degrees Fahrenheit for 18 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick stuck
in the center comes out clean. Remove from the oven and let slightly cool and
then transfer the muffins to a wire rack to finish cooling. If you love pistachio
muffins as much as I do this is a recipe for you. These muffins are great any time
of the day! This recipe made 18 nice size muffins. You can make these ahead of time
and freeze. The texture is nice and moist and the pistachio flavor is abundant.
These pistachio muffins will not disappoint. I hope you give these
homemade pistachio muffins a try and enjoy. If you like this recipe please hit

The Problem with Translating Seinfeld - Duration: 13:52.
>> ALEX: This Technicality episode is brought to you by Squarespace.
Hey guys, I'm here, let's get technical.
I'm 16 years old, and, even though I born years after Seinfeld ended, I still love watching
episodes to this day, just like how my parents loved watching episodes when they first aired.
There's something about Seinfeld that transcends generations and makes it still incredibly
astute and enjoyable.
However, while it does transcend time, it doesn't transcend geography.
It turns out Seinfeld is actually is one of the hardest shows to translate to another
language.
Despite having a massive fanbase in America, with it's series finale being the 6th most
watched television event of all time, boasting somewhere between 76 and 108 million viewers,
and despite the usual success of American sitcoms in other countries, it's struggled
to find a mainstream audience all over Europe.
A matter of fact, the only place besides America where it's gained some traction is in Latin
America.
Why?
Why is Seinfeld so uniquely hard to translate?
There are two reasons, but let's start by learning more about how Jerry Seinfeld writes
a joke.
>> TRACY MORGAN: You wanna know why people laugh at that? It's the *bad scary adult word* truth.
>> JERRY SEINFELD: No, it's not. Funny is funny. Funny has a certain life to it, a certain magic to it.
If you only needed truth, people would just read the paper and howl.
Jerry doesn't believe something is funny just because it's true, as seen in that
clip from Jerry's show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
Yes, episodes of Seinfeld are true and relatable to an American audience (we'll get back
to that later), but Seinfeld's relatability doesn't make the show great solely on its
own; there are many other factors that make up FUNNY.
So what is that magic?
To find out, let's look at a couple clips from this interview Jerry did with the New
York Times on his joke-writing process.
One of those factors that makes up funny, arguably one of the most important factors
when it comes to Seinfeld, is how much of the humor relies on the nature of English,
how words are said, and what the connotations of those words are.
This is the first problem with translating Seinfeld: humour based in words.
Word-based humour makes up a large chunk of Seinfeld/ For example, take this scene from
the season 3 episode The Boyfriend.
The phrase "You've got to see the baby" isn't inherently funny, but the way Jerry
says it (the cadence, the voice, the inflections etc.), makes it so.
Notice how, in the German version, the phrase is...
Let's compare that to the German version.
Notice how, in the German version, the phrase is...
"du musst das Baby sehen."
I...
I didn't wanna butcher it.
Sehen, meaning see, is placed at the end of the sentence, and thus given the emphasis,
and when the emphasis is on see and not baby, some of the humour is lost.
Moreover, as you just saw, many European countries strongly prefer dubbing to subtitles.
There are a variety of reasons for this.
First, nationalism.
Dubbing first arose in Europe in 1930s, where many countries were under fascist leaders
and governments, and believed that if they heard their language in pop culture, it would
validate it and increase country pride.
Second, there's a whole industry built around dubbing in various countries now, and third,
in some languages, the information per character is smaller than in English, meaning some subtitles
can't even physically fit on the screen.
Thus, because dubbing is so heavily prefered, even more of word-and-cadence-based humour
is lost.
Uhh, random sidenote here, I'm such a big proponent of subtitles over dubbing that I
Now Alex, you say, "We've got to see the baby" is such a tiny example
This adds nothing to video, I just wanted to share one of my greatest accomplishments.
Now Alex, you say, "We've got to see the baby" is such a tiny example
Just cuz one line is a bit different and the humor is lost doesn't mean the whole series
is doomed.
Well, yes, but since Seinfeld is based so heavily on word-based humor, this happens
all the time, and all of it takes a hit.
Take the "These pretzels are making me thirsty" phrase from the season 3 episode The Alternate
Side.
*with an exaggerated emphasis* These pretzels are making me thirsty.
me thirsty; what's funny is the nature of the words and how each character says it.
*with an exaggerated emphasis* These pretzels are making me thirsty.
And that's just kinda lost in translation, as they say.
However, things do sometimes work out.
In the season 3 episode The Library, George Costanza's gym teacher calls him Cantstandya.
In the Germasn version, it was translated to Kotztanzo, which does sound like
Costanza, but is also an insult.
In the Germasn version, it was translated to Kotztanzo, which does sound like
Costanza and is a German insult.
At this point in the video, it's probably a good idea to explore what made Seinfeld
so unique and so great.
What is the show about nothing really about?
Seinfeld was so revolutionary because it would pick a mundane aspect of our social life,
actually created by Seinfeld), a minute aspect of human life that wasn't usually
Whether it was close talking, exclamation points, the speed dial, or regifting (a term
at least, that's what we think.
actively discussed in society was picked, and, yada yada yada, we have a Seinfeld episode.
at least, that's what we think.
This is Elke Van Cassel, author of Getting the Joke, Even If It's About Nothing: Seinfeld
from a European Perspective.
It's one of the many essays in this phenomenal book: Seinfeld, Master of Its Domain, Revisiting
Television's Greatest Sitcom.
She asked both American and Dutch participants in a focus group what they thought of Seinfeld's
plots.
"'Seinfeld is a show about reality,' said one of the American participants.
The show, she pointed out, is about "nothing in particular, but it's everything about
what we deal with every day.'...
As another of the American participants pointed out, the show's humor is about 'the little
things people never talk about, but everybody knows about' and the 'tacit assumptions
about the way people are supposed to act.'...
While American participants stressed their recognition of trivial everyday annoyances
and situations, breeches of social eduqiute, and dating rules portrayed on the show, Dutch
participants emphasized that on Seinfeld everything is blown out of proportion, and the humor
is often over-the-top."
How can two groups of people watch the same thing, and come away with different interpretations?
The answer: relatability.
Americans love Seinfeld because they talk about American social issues, while Europeans
say it merely reminds them of Americans they know, which doesn't really spur the same
passion for and enjoyment of a show as personally relating to it does.
"[An] American participant pointed out that a lot of the jokes are about American culture,
giving the example of Jerry's opening stand-up comedy bit in "The Wife," in which he
talks about Americans fervently obeying dry-cleaning tags, but not paying attention to government
warnings."
"Another American participant pointed out that Seinfeld says a lot about the American
character: 'I really believe that humor is indicative of social values, what we perceive
as funny, [and] what we perceive as being immoral.'"
This is the second problem with translating Seinfeld: the subject matter discussed on
Seinfeld is so largely centered around American culture, customs, and etiquette that it doesn't
really translate to other countries.
While pretty much all sitcoms have pop culture references, they're usually rooted in universal
concepts, like family or romantic love, which transcends geographic location.
Seinfeld, the show about nothing, is based on none of that; it instead finds itself generally
rooted in commentary on American social customs, something that DOESN'T translate super well
at all.
While Seinfeld is overflowing with examples I could use to support this point, my personal
favourite is songs the characters casually sing.
Take, for example, the season 3 episode "The Note,"
Kramer claims he saw Joe Dimaggio, a baseball player for the New York Yankees, in a donut
shop, and then goes on to claim that he was very focused and calculated when eating and
dunking his donuts.
Kramer ends up, in the middle of a completely different conversation about how one of their
acquaintances is under investigation for insurance fraud, singing the song "Joltin' Joe"
*kinda laughing* This doesn't translate.
Not only does the actual sound of words not translate ("go joe"), but think about
the cultural knowledge you have to have to fully understand that.
You gotta know about Joe DiMaggio, baseball, the Yankees, and it wouldn't hurt to have
at least heard the song "Joltin Joe" before, which they play the original version of over
the credits of that episode.
This whole situation would be like an American watching a sitcom about how a famous cricket
player eats a certain food, and then randomly starts singing some song about him.
*Maybe* it would still be funny, but certainly not *as* funny to an American than to someone
from the original country.
Wanna even harder song to translate?
Because, yes, this isn't the only example of singing and American culture being fused
in Seinfeld.
In the season 8 episode "The Susie."
In it, George is trying to avoid his girlfriend Allison because he heard she wanted to break
up with him, and quote "If she can't find me, she can't break up with me."
*laughing* this is a great show.
Anyways, in that process, he lets all of his incoming calls go voicemail, and we can hear
his answering machine message.
If you didn't catch that, that was George adapting the theme song of the show "The
Greatest American Hero" to his voicemail message.
If you're curious, the original theme song from that show that's sampled in George's
production is playing in the background right now.
This was a tricky translation.
Not only did you have vibe of the song (George's lackluster singing humorously plastered on
top of this theme song), you also had to know The Greatest American Hero, cuz, if you didn't,
it would just be George singing to some song.
Here's the German version.
It doesn't really have the same effect.
When Ekle Van Cassel asked the Dutch focus group about dating in Seinfeld,
the concept of dating.
When Ekle Van Cassel asked the Dutch focus group about dating in Seinfeld,
many were straight up confused.
You know how Jerry basically has a new girlfriend in every episode of Seinfeld?
Dutch viewers didn't get that; they said casual relationships like that don't really
happen in the Netherlands.
Heck, there's no direct equivalent of the word dating in Dutch.
Ultimately, the problem with translating Seinfeld is that it did something so revolutionarily
American, it just doesn't work as well in other places.
Is Seinfeld a thing in your country?
Or, is it as big as it seems to be in America?
Let me know in the comments down below; I'm really interested.
Is all hope lost for Seinfeld?
No, not at all.
The impact it's made on culture is undeniable, and it's still incredibly popular.
Back in 2015, Hulu reportedly paid $160,000,000, or about $875,000 an episode, to put Seinfeld
on its streaming service, and a new generation is getting hooked on the game-changing sitcom.

[ intro ]
It's 406 BCE.
You, the commander of Sparta's navy, have a top-secret message for your magistrate back
home: the new strategy to defeat those dastardly Athenians is to cut off their grain supply!
But wait…what if your messenger gets captured?
Athens might see your message and head off your plan!
The standard Spartan solution was a scytale—a wooden rod paired with a strip of leather.
You'd wind the leather around the rod and write your message line by line.
When you unwound the leather, the letters would look like a meaningless jumble to anyone
who didn't know the width of the rod.
Of course, all you'd have to do was try a bunch of different thicknesses until the
letters turned into words, so it wouldn't be an especially difficult code to crack.
Over the centuries, people have tried to do better, coming up with more and more sophisticated
ways to encrypt, or scramble, information.
Most of these encryption methods weren't perfect—there was always a chance that an
attacker would manage to undo the procedure you used to encode the information.
But with the help of computers, we now have ways to encrypt information that are almost
impossible to crack.
That's a very good thing, because encryption is what protects your bank password from hackers,
keeps prying eyes out of your WhatsApp messages, and even makes sure those Windows updates
really came from Microsoft.
The weird thing, though, is that these practically-unbreakable codes are still based on the same building
blocks the ancient Greeks used — with just a couple of twists.
Any coded message has two main parts: The first component is the cipher—a scrambling
procedure like the scytale, which is meant to mash up the message into something unrecognizable.
The second component is the key—some secret, like the diameter of the scytale, that keeps
unauthorized people from unscrambling the message.
In modern encryption, the process of sharing keys can be kind of involved.
And it definitely involves way more math than before computers were a thing.
But none of that matters unless you have a usable cipher that can't be cracked.
Those have only existed for a few decades, but they're built on the same ideas we've
been using for centuries.
In fact, many modern ciphers just involve taking the two main types of classical ciphers
and applying the techniques a little differently.
One type of classical cipher is the transposition cipher, where the key tells you how to reorder
the letters in the message.
The scytale was a simple version of that.
A more sophisticated example of a transposition cipher is the route c ipher.
Say you wanted to encrypt a message telling the Spartans back home to "cut off the grain
supply."
You'd write it down in a grid of, say, 5 columns, then read off the letters in a prearranged
pattern.
That path through the grid is your key.
Transposition ciphers leave each letter intact and swaps their positions.
The other type of classical cipher, the substitution cipher, does the opposite: it leaves each
letter in position, but replaces it with something else.
The best-known example is the Caesar cipher, named after Julius Caesar, who was quite the
cryptography enthusiast.
He liked to send secret military messages by sliding every letter down three places
in the alphabet.
So A became D, B became E, and so on down the line until Z wrapped around to C.
Here's what our message looks like encrypted with Caesar's method.
Of course, a Caesar cipher doesn't have to stick to shifting by three.
The key that tells you how far to rotate the alphabet can be anything from 1 to 25.
And why stop there?
Forget Caesar ciphers; you could make the key to a substitution cipher any of the over
400 septillion ways you can rearrange the alphabet.
Substitution and transposition are fine for passing notes in class, but they have some
pretty serious security flaws.
A transposition cipher is just a giant anagram.
And anagrams aren't that hard to crack.
Substitution ciphers, meanwhile, leave all the structure of the original text.
So for example, if an enemy intercepts the message and sees that 'x' is the most
common letter, it's a safe bet that it corresponds to 'e'.
And then maybe they'll notice "IRX" all over the place and guess that it spells
"the," and so on with other letters and words.
With some statistics and good guessing—what cryptographers call frequency analysis—it's
easy to work out the key.
You can make frequency analysis harder by systematically re-scrambling the alphabet
after every letter.
A classic cipher called the Vigenère cipher works that way, as did the famous Enigma machines
used by the Germans in World War II.
But even then, some patterns still leak through.
In particular, if you know a specific word will show up a lot—"Führer," for example—and
you know the rules for re-scrambling the alphabet, you can guess which chunks of encrypted text
might correspond to that word.
That's how the computer scientist Alan Turing and his colleagues were eventually able to
crack the Enigma.
So, both transposition and substitution have some pretty big weaknesses.
But even today, these two techniques do most of the work!
You just need to fix their flaws.
In 1949, a computer science pioneer named Claude Shannon suggested a simple solution:
alternate between applying substitution and transposition to the same message.
One version of Shannon's idea had actually been used earlier, during World War I, when
the Germans developed a cipher called ADFGVX.
But it was still crackable.
To encode a message, you'd first print a jumbled alphabet into a 6-by-6 square with
the letters ADFGVX along the sides.
That would be the key, which would tell you how to translate each character in the message
to a corresponding two-letter code.
So the 'C' in "cut" would become FG, 'u' would be XX, and so on.
Once you used that first key to code the letters, you'd write the coded letters into another
grid.
Across the tops of the columns you'd write letters that you'll use for a second key.
This would be the transposition part of the cipher, where you rearrange the letters in
the message.
To actually rearrange them, you'd switch the order of the columns so the key you wrote
on top is in alphabetical order.
Then you'd read off columns vertically, and that's your encrypted message.
The French managed to crack ADFGVX shortly after the Germans introduced it, but only
because it didn't take the combination idea far enough.
Shannon realized that if you keep alternating between transposition and substitution, each
fixes the weaknesses of the other.
With transposition alone, you can crack the code by anagramming.
But when you add substitutions, characters in the original are changed in unpredictable
ways.
With substitution, on the other hand, you can break the encryption by analyzing the
structure of the text, like by looking for common words and letter combinations.
But when you add transposition, any repetitions or groupings get spread out all over.
If you alternate between them, applying both strategies multiple times, every bit of the
encrypted text depends in a very complex way on the entire key and the entire original
message.
Much of modern cryptography is built on Shannon's alternating ciphers, although computers allow
for more fiddly transformations and bigger keys.
The first widespread digital cipher was the Data Encryption Standard, which was commissioned
in 1976 by what's now the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology, or
NIST.
These days there are tons of different options, but most, including that original Data Encryption
Standard, follow a similar procedure.
For example, many are based on a process called a substitution-permutation network.
The idea is to alternate between two ways to scramble the data:
First, there's the substitution box, which replaces short sequences of bits, or zeros
and ones, with different sets of zeros and ones.
-- It's like how the ADFGVX cipher replaced
letters of the alphabet with other letters, except using sets of zeros and ones instead.
Then there's the permutation box, which swaps around the positions of the bits.
That's the transposition part.
Then you repeat both steps over and over and over.
Without the key, the result is practically indistinguishable from random garbage.
But this method does have one big limitation: the boxes you use for each encoding step are
small, fixed-size tables, so they can only operate on small, fixed-size blocks of data.
Ciphers like this are called block ciphers.
Problem is, sometimes you need to encrypt more than a few bits at a time.
Like, what if your bank statement stretches on for pages?
It might seem like you could just encrypt each smaller chunk of data separately—but
that's a big no-no.
Just look at what happens to Tux, the friendly penguin who personifies the type of operating
system called Linux, if you encrypt him block by block.
Each block turns into something random-looking.
But identical blocks get encrypted the same way, so the structure shows through.
A few years after that original data encryption standard came out, NIST came to the rescue
with new ways to extend block ciphers for messages of any length.
These techniques mix information from all previous blocks into each new block.
That way information spreads out across the whole encrypted message and the structure
doesn't stick out anymore.
Another way to encrypt big messages is what's known as a stream cipher.
It builds on the idea of the substitution cipher, but it doesn't directly combine
older methods the way block ciphers do.
Instead, a stream cipher makes the encrypted text look random by mixing every bit with
another, randomly generated zero or one.
Of course, to decrypt a message where you're mixing in a totally random bit every single
time, you'd need that whole list of random zeros and ones.
That's a key as big as your message!
So instead, stream ciphers use math to generate a long sequence of random-looking bits based
on a shorter secret key.
Of course, even with the best ciphers, there's still a major challenge: when you share the
key with the person you're sending the message, you need to make sure it's not intercepted.
That's another problem modern cryptography has been able to solve, although in this case
the techniques we use are very different from how keys were exchanged before computers became
a thing.
So we'll leave that story for another episode.
But none of that other stuff would matter without fast and secure ways of encoding information.
Everything we do with computers today would be so much harder.

ones I got a steel on him he got it gave me for less than 10 bucks because
they're pretty worn in 1890 and 1879 the 1890 is an O and the 79 is just a
standard Philadelphia Mint on the other ones I picked up I picked up a couple of
federer once this 1881 it does have some blue in it and I don't
know if I'm gonna try to remove it or not sometimes you do that and it cleans
the coin and it destroys the value but I picked it up for cheap because that glue
and then in 1898 right there as well and I believe both of these are Philadelphia
mints they are but the detail man pretty nice Morgan Dollars I couldn't turn him
down and I'll tell you I got him for less than 18 bucks a piece
I think this when he charged me 14 because it's good detail but it's got
the glue and then this when he charged me 16 and then finally I picked up this
other Morgan dollar and I needed to pay 18 bucks for this one only because it's
pretty clean it's got an omit mark it's only in 1901 though to any extent I got
all the Morgan dollars for very cheap that's why I have him there and I'm in
the middle of a penny hunt by the way I also picked up some half dollars he had
one Barbara half so I grabbed it 1903 Philadelphia I knew I needed a 1960
Philadelphia the 1961 Ben Franklin for my book so I didn't realize I just
needed those two common ones so I went to his Ben Franklin nut junk bin and I
found a couple of them and I figured since I needed it I pick up an extra one
maybe someone needs it for their collection so I'll have it in one of my
free giveaways he only had to barber or staying Liberty quarters that were that
year those years or earlier so I picked up all he had it's pretty common date
1929 Philadelphia Standing Liberty quarter but I like those so I collect
them and then I've already got I believe in 19
for Philadelphia barber this was pretty worn but I couldn't turn it down it's
hard for me to turn away barbers and then we also got a couple of Barbara
dimes in 1902 which has been cleaned but he gave it to her melt value so I took
it and then a 1910 and I think this one yeah it's a philadelphia as well so at
the end of the day a couple quarters couple of dimes for half dollars and
five Morgan's so want to show you guys what I picked up from my local coin shop
I know it's Halloween so happy learning thanks for watching and trick-or-treat

My Path from Doubt to Faith - Duration: 8:12.
This is why I wrote the book, 51 Reasons Why the King James:
A Path from Doubt to Faith.
Hi, I'm David Daniels from Chick Publications.
When I was in Bible college it was like being in a dark forest,
once I started taking classes.
There were all these different Bible versions
that surrounded me.
And as I came to a verse, I'd find that the Sinaiticus
and the Vaticanus and the Alexandrinus
and the Codex Beza Cantabrigiensis and the papyri
all disagreed about what the words could be.
I even sat there with guides, as to which one was older,
and whether I could rely upon it, based on some other kind of reasoning.
Then I looked at these people, whose Bibles
I thought were really good: the New American Standard,
and the American Standard, and the New Revised Standard.
And as I was looking at all these versions, I realized that
these really great scholars disagreed on these verses.
And I started to think that when I came to a verse,
maybe I should just decide... that I don't know what I believe
about that verse.
Then I'd set that verse aside.
The only thing is, that kept adding up.
There were more and more verses that it kept happening to.
I had so many important doctrines, where I really had important questions,
and those seemed to be the same places where
those guys could not come to an agreement.
So then my doctrines became more and more fuzzy.
The more I researched, the more fuzzy they got,
because I had nothing to set my faith on.
I had nowhere to go to say, "This is what God said."
Years ago my friend Ron said to me, "If God did something right
the first time, would He need to do it a second?"
That started me on an entire journey.
And the journey was from doubt to faith.
I started first finding out that God is a consistent God.
God made consistent promises.
And if He made a consistent promise, you should be able
to find what He had promised.
God says, "I preserved My words."
Well, there are two giant, major witnesses of what His words are.
There are two different camps.
And the one camp hates the other.
And the funny thing is, the one camp that
really hates the other, is ALL the other Bibles!
And I have them all.
I had everything I could think of.
And they all were fighting against one.
The same teachers, who said "All Bibles are 99% the same,"
were saying, "That Bible is the bad one;
Don't ever go to that one; Don't ever trust that one;"
which, of course, makes it even more intriguing,
unless you believe your professors.
For years I believed my professors.
After a while, it was this quagmire,
where I could not see where my doubt and my faith were.
"Where do I set anything down?
I don't know!"
I'd now left so many verses, so many holes in my faith,
that I had nowhere to set my faith.
And so I had to start with, "Okay, I have God's promise."
Once I realized that God had promised to keep His words,
and God is a promise-making
and promise-keeping God, my next question was,
"Where are they?
His words have to be somewhere."
So then I looked for an historical witness.
Ron said it: "If God did it right the first time,
does He need to do it a second?"
So I looked for an historical witness.
And then, of course, I ended coming back to
that old King James.
And so, when I went online, and I saw all the articles
against the King James, I used to test my prowess
at saying all the things I was taught, as fast as I could.
And I'd run right through those lists.
And then something happened.
I read a debate between Gail Riplinger and
a guy named James White.
And I liked James White.
And I read this debate between them.
And I was going, "Yeah, see?
There you go!
Uh, huh!"
Then G.A.
Riplinger (whoever that was), made a response.
And I went, "Ooh!
That's interesting."
And I looked at the evidence, and I looked at that statement,
and I went, "Oh, well, of course,
James is gonna say, 'I'll give you that one,
but let's go on to these other arguments.'"
And I went to James' response, and... he didn't!
He doubled down!
And I was talking to my wife Deborah, I was saying to the computer,
"Hey! What are you doing that for?
Riplinger's right!
You're wrong!
Let that one go; go on to the next argument."
But he didn't!
And that made me even more intrigued.
So then I had to start looking further.
And over the years, what I found out,
was that the historical witness was for a consistent Bible
and for a consistent faith.
The historical witness was that there is one Bible,
and it does come from God, and that one Bible
does bring faith, not doubt.
And when I came to that point, of realizing the King James Bible
was that Book in English, it changed my entire life.
I no longer had a doubt about where I was going, or about
what a verse said.
I didn't have a doubt about whether the translators were
clear or unclear.
I trusted God, who gave His words.
"The Lord gave the word: great was the company
of those that published it."
--Psalm 68:11
I wanted a published Bible.
God said through Solomon,
"I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever:
nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it:
and God doeth it, that men should fear before him."
--Ecclesiastes 3:14
That's a promise about God Himself, in Ecclesiastes.
I want to follow that line of thinking.
And from the moment I placed my faith in God
that His words were in right front of me, I have never looked back.
I've seen nothing but my faith increase
my soul-winning abilities increase, my concern for souls increase,
my concern for godliness increase.
And all these doctrines, that were so unsettled before,
have been settled for a long time, from the day I placed my faith
in God's words in English, the King James Bible.
God bless you, and have a wonderful day.

Watch Managerial Accounting - Chapter 6 - Production Report - Duration: 5:28.
Hello, this is Connie Belden and let's take a look at a problem similar to problem 6
- 62. In this problem we are going to do a complete production report. Let's
assume the following information is given, beginning working process is 30
percent complete 12,000 units, the cost of materials labor, and overhead is given.
For the beginning working process what I did is I added those up for 48,000 and
put it over here to the side, keep that in mind for later. There are 35,000 units
completed during the month and transfer to finish goods the additional cost
added of materials labor and overhead is given. I added them up to the side for
$100,000. Keep that line in mind for later as well. Now we're going to
complete the production report. The first area is getting the units to account for,
its split up into two sections and both sections should total the same amount.
I'm going to do the second section first I know there are 35,000 units completed
and transferred out and I know there are 5,000 units in ending work in process so
units completed I'll fill in the 35,000 ending working process is 5,000 and then
I will add them together for a total of 40,000 units to account for now since I
got 40,000 here I also have to have 40,000 for unit account for up above it
now this is a tricky part I'm gonna have to work my way backwards I don't know
how many units were started this period but I do know there are 12,000 units in
beginning work in process so I will fill in the 12,000 units for beginning work
in process and then what I'm going to do is work backwards and subtract like a
show to the side I will take the 40,000 to account for -
the 12,000 and beginning working process and by working backwards I came up with
there were 28 thousand units that were actually started this period now moving
on to what I call the second part we need to get the equivalent units so
again I will fill in the units completed which is given at 35,000 now we know
there are 5,000 units and ending work in process but as far as equivalent units
go remember it was only 40% complete so to get the equivalent units of the indy
working process I will take 5000 times 40% so equivalent wise that gives me
2,000 units I'll add that together and my total
equivalent units is 37,000 now for the third part I need to accumulate all of
my cost and get a cost per unit so the cost of beginning working process
remember I added it earlier 48,000 cost added by the department this period
remember I added that earlier for a hundred thousand if I add the two
together my total cost to account for is one hundred and forty-eight thousand
dollars now to get the equivalent units as you see I noted to the side or I
should say the equivalent cost per unit I will take the 48 thousand divided by
the 37,000 equivalent units and my cost per equivalent unit is four dollars now
using my information above remember as far as equivalent units go there were
35,000 complete I will take it times a cost per equivalent unit of four dollars
so four times 35,000
gives me 140,000 now for the cost of ending work in process again I will take
the $4 cost per equivalent unit times the 2,000 equivalent units and ending
working process so plus four dollars times two thousand units is 8,000 now
how I know if I've done it correctly is when I add those two up that equals one
hundred and forty eight thousand that is the same amount as up here for total
cost to account for those two must balance if not I would go back and check
all your math the goods transferred out the hundred and forty thousand that
tells me what portion of the cost will be transferred to finish goods this
eight thousand tells me that eight thousand will remained in ending work in
process I hope this helps you with the cost of production report thank you very
much

Chelsea player ratings vs Derby: Zappacosta impresses, Loftus-Cheek dominant, Morata flops - Duration: 5:59.
Chelsea saw off a determined Derby side 3-2 in a thrilling Carabao Cup Round of 16 clash at Stamford Bridge
The Blues took the lead when loanee Fikayo Tomori sliced a Davide Zappacosta cross into his own net, but Frank Lampard's side hit back immediately through Jack Marriott
Richard Keogh then suffered an identical fate to Tomori when the Derby captain deflected a second Zappacosta cross into his own net, but the Rams equalised once again through Martyn Waghorn
Chelsea went ahead for a third time through Cesc Fabregas's tidy finish and withstood sustained pressure from the visitors to progress, with Derby hitting the post late on through David Nugent
Express Sport have rated how the Chelsea players performed during their Carabao Cup clash with Derby – but do you agree?Chelsea player ratings vs Derby County – Carabao Cup GK: Willy Caballero – 5 Not much chance with either Derby goal, but made a smart – if not entirely convincing – stop from Marriott before a couple of vital late blocks
RB: Davide Zappacosta – 8 Zappacosta's low cross caused Tomori to comically slice the ball into his own net and get the ball rolling at Stamford Bridge
The Italian then repeated the trick with Keogh the unfortunate man second time around as his adventurous display was rewarded
Not at the same level as Cesar Azpilicueta, but surely a display worth taking note of for manager Maurizio Sarri
CB: Gary Cahill – 5 Sloppy play allowed Tom Huddlestone to nick in and set up Derby's first equaliser
Forced Scott Carson into a good save when allowed a free header from a corner, but possibly should have done better and is not looking like the force of old
CB: Andreas Christensen – 6 Bizarre evening for the Dane who didn't look too ruffled alongside Cahill but was substituted early
Needs game time to rediscover his confidence. LB: Emerson Palmieri – 7 Always looked a danger and easily had the better of the Derby right-back Jayden Bogle, whipping in several dangerous deliveries
Also tried his luck from range and forced Carson into a simple save during a positive performance
CM: N'Golo Kante – 6 Customary busy display as he did well to sniff out danger in a packed midfield
Looks much more effective when Jorginho doesn't play, which is a headache for Sarri
CM: Cesc Fabregas – 7 Enjoyed a rare start and made the most of it with a tidy finish just before half-time to restore Chelsea's lead
Composed on the ball but allowed the game to drift as Chelsea failed to kill their opposition off
CM: Mateo Kovacic – 6 Bright opening as he saw plenty of the ball, firing a long-range shot goalwards inside the opening few minutes
Like Fabregas, guilty of letting Derby get a foothold in the match but still looks a classy option for the Blues
RAM: Ruben Loftus-Cheek – 8 Deployed in a more advanced role and certainly had a rude awakening when he was flung over the advertising hoardings into a photographers's lap
Displayed good power in possession and played a role in the Blues' third when his pull-back eventually fell to Fabregas
Great strength to hold the ball up and caused plenty of problems with his driving runs as he grew into the game
LAM: Willian – 5 For a player of his talent, there were too many wasted opportunities and missed passes
Looked well short of his best, although the Brazilian did go close early on. ST: Alvaro Morata – 4 Poor touch let him down in the first half when Tomori missed another Zappacosta cross
Service wasn't brilliant but didn't look strong enough and found himself isolated on occasions before wasting more good chances late on
SUB: David Luiz (on for Christensen, 65 mins) – 6 Brought on to help batten down the hatches and did his job with a couple of important tackles
SUB: Pedro (on for Loftus-Cheek, 69 mins) – 5 Found attacking chances limited as Derby pressed late on
SUB: Cesar Azpilicueta (on for Zappacosta, 77 mins) – 6 Tried his best to calm the game down in the closing stages

Chelsea news: Did you see what Frank Lampard did after Derby's Carabao Cup defeat? - Duration: 2:36.
Lampard returned to Stamford Bridge for the first time as a manager on Wednesday night in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup
However, it wasn't quite the perfect evening as the Rams were knocked out after a 3-2 loss
David Nugent could have taken the match to a penalty shoot-out, but his effort struck the post with just a minute left of normal time
Lampard was given a rapturous reception before the game and the Blues fans will never forget his services to the club as a player
And the 40-year-old took time after the final whistle to salute the fans. Doing a lap of honour, Lampard waved and clapped to all corners of the ground
While Derby ran Chelsea close, Lampard couldn't conceal his frustration. "I'm disappointed
I think we deserved a draw on chances created," Lampard said. "The difference between the sides was they scored three
actually we scored four didn't we? I joke because i'm proud. Talking to their staff they're saying we're playing well
"I respect this club, I don't have to talk about this club. I'm proud of my players
"My players had to really selfless stuff. Who goes through clear against Chelsea like we did on goal? We created chances
"There will be recovery for two days and we'll think about Birmingham. "We've shown what we can do against Manchester United and today, and the standard is set
"If we play like that we will win games. "I'm so thankful to the Chelsea fans. "I left through the back door and it upset me at the time but I have nothing but great memories of this place and they thank me like that
"I'm a lucky man to have a night like that and I feel it."

Alright.
Let's start with me putting the gloves on.
Many of you guys asked weather I need gloves
for making an aquarium.
No, you don't really need those.
I just like to protect my hands so...
This is why I'm gonna put this on.
Beautiful gloves from Black Magic.
We got it from a friend of ours, Jurijs.
Thank you so much.
It's a Moscotton brand and we really like it.
Let's start with building the hardscape
or let's start with putting in the soil.
I'm gonna use three types of soils now.
You have the ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia.
Which will go to the bottom.
We are not using Power Sand special
or Power Sand at all in this aquarium
because we're just gonna have a couple of foreground plants.
Maybe we will use root sticks.
In order to provide some more nutrients.
We hope that in this small nano aquarium
the ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia
and the ADA fertilizers that we're gonna provide...
We're gonna use the ADA Mineral,
and we're gonna use the ADA Brighty K
to fertilize the plants.
The plants will get enough ferts from those.
And the soil itself.
So it's going to be fine, we're not going to use
any base layer fertilizing substrate in this tank.
On the top of the ADA Amazonia
we're gonna use the ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia Powder.
Which is a smaller grain-size ADA Soil.
It's much easier to plant in the substrate
when it has a smaller grain-size.
Especially with plants that have smaller roots.
It's much easier to push the roots in.
But you will see that in a moment.
As decoration we are going to use the ADA Colorado Sand.
You have it here.
It's a beautiful reddish sand.
It will help accentuate the brownish
and reddish color of the wood that I'm planning to use.
This is the Iron Wood.
That I have here prepared.
I also have the Dragon Stones here.
Just small pieces of it.
We don't need a lot of hardscape for a nano tank.
Let's start with the ADA Aqua Soil Amazonia.
I'm gonna put a little bit of this in the back.
I'm gonna use some more from a 3 liter bag.
I'm just gonna pour it in.
Only in the back.
Nowhere else at this moment.
I'm just gonna stop here now.
I'm gonna come back
with the Amazonia later.
Let's see what we're doing.
I'm going to arrange it a little bit.
I'm gonna put some rocks in the front.
I'm going to put the Dragon Stones
between the foreground sand and the Amazonia here.
To have a nice boundary between those two.
Alright.
Let's find a suitable
rock in the foreground.
What I'm looking for here at this point
is that the rock should lean against the side-glass
as smoothly as possible.
It should stop the Amazonia from coming to the foreground.
That's pretty fine there.
I'm gonna use additional rocks
smaller ones
to continue that line.
that I wanna make here.
Then I'm going to pour in sand.
Cosmetic sand.
In the foreground.
Usually you don't need a lot.
One cup of it was enough.
Make sure you use a sand-flattener.
Flatten the sand
here
You don't need a lot of sand in the foreground.
You can just make it nice and even.
You can increase the height
as you go towards the back of the aquarium.
Let's use the wider side of the sand-flattener
to make it even more nice and even.
Is it flat enough?
Maybe yes, so let's leave it like that
and let's use the Amazonia to the back.
Fill it up.
I'm just pouring it to the back like that.
Arranging it with my hands.
You have a nice layout that will start
from the right side and go towards the left side.
Let's see what we're gonna do with the wood.
The wood is prepared.
It's ready.
This is the hardscape.
Iron wood glued together.
I used some coconut fibre to hide the glue
that was used to get these pieces of wood together.
I want to show you guys how I made this.
I brought you different pieces
of wood.
I'm gonna show it how I select it.
First I have a main wood here.
I'm using another wood right next to it
to continue the line like this.
Right now this is good.
You need to glue these together.
You can use the coconut fibre to have the Seachem glue
that I was using to keep these pieces together...
You can hide it with that.
I hope you like the hardscape.
I'm going to put it in the tank now.
For that I will really need to go to the other side.
I'm going to check it out from the other side
to see how it goes.
I'm very happy with the hardscape at this moment.
I just need to find a good angle for it.
Okey, so I'm happy with the wood arrangement.
We're gonna fill in some more Amazonia.
To the back.
Then arrange it nicely.
You need at least 3 or 4 cm of Amazonia
In order to be able to plant in it.
I'm gonna use the sand flattener again.
To bring in the soil that put in the back.
To the front.
And arrange it in the front as well.
Be careful not to spill
any soil on the sand.
Alright. Ready.
So what we're gonna do now,
we're gonna use the Amazonia Powder
to put it on the top
of the regular Amazonia.
Let's pour some in the front as well.
Alright so we're done.
In order to be able to plant you need to wet the soil.
Plant roots will stick to the soil much easier
if it's wet a little bit.
But before we do that
I need to introduce some more rocks.
To add some detail.
The more detail you have in a tank the better.
It will increase the scale of your tank.
It will add to the overall look.
I'm using small pieces in the foreground.
I'm using bigger pieces in the background.
How do you like it so far?
Are you happy with this?
Let me ask Viktor.
Okey, so Viktor is telling me
that this is the words hardscape by a pro again.
It looks like I need a t-shirt.
Can you guys send me a t-shirt?
"The worst hardscape by a pro ever"
Thanks!
It looks like I'm lacking some hardscape elements
in the foreground on the right side.
What I have to do is to build some more
in the foreground
to have an elevation here.
That would add a little bit to the beauty of the whold thing.
Too big.
Too small.
Perfect.
And we're ready.
So I think the hardscape is ready guys.
Let's go with the planting.
We are going to use 5 types of plants.
The first plant that I'm gonna be using today
is the mini Bolbitis.
The official name is Bolbitis Heteroclita Difformis.
It's a small fern.
Which doesn't grow big.
I really like to use it in nano aquariums.
It doesn't cover completely the wood.
I use 6 pots of them.
I put them here-and-there.
Support it with some little rocks in the background.
So that they don't float up.
The second plant that I want to use is the Echinodorus Vesuvius.
This is a nice Echinodorus type
that will not grow too big but the leaves are long enough
and the general idea for me using this plant
was that I wanted to use another fern type...
Like the narrow-leaf Microsorum.
But we don't have a small narrow-leaf Microsorum
on the market yet.
So I'm going to use this instead of the Microsorum in this tank.
I'm going to use this in the background,
because I don't want it to cover
the complete
hardscape.
I don't want it to cover the fern - as well.
Let's go with the third plant.
This is the Bucephalandra Lamandau 'Mini Red'.
This is a nice Bucephalandra type.
It has reddish color.
It will accentuate the greens of the other plants
that we were using so far.
I'm gonna take it in two parts.
I'm gonna put it
to have some patches of red
here-and-there.
I have the Elatine Hydropiper here.
It's a small lab plant in jelly.
That is a nice foreground plant.
You can just take it out of the jelly
wash the jelly off
and then use some great
pinsettes (tweezers)
I'm gonna use the small pinsettes here...
Just take small chunks of it.
Then plant it at the left side of the aquarium.
I forgot that I need to wet the soil first.
We're gonna use this
thing
to add a little bit of water to the soil.
Also, I want to keep the plants
that I was using so far
from being dried out.
Okey, let's clean the foreground.
A little bit.
For you guys to see what am I actually doing in the aquarium.
Then I keep on planting the Elatine.
To the foreground here, on the left side.
Make sure that you are not big chunks of it.
Because it's really difficult to put down.
I just checked it from the front and I see
that we need need to go all the way to the back.
On the left side of the aquarium.
I think we need to raise the substrate a little bit more
on the right side
because I want the Elatine to be visible on the right sided as well.
Don't be afraid to plant as densely as possible.
The more plants you have in your aquarium
the more stabile the ecosystem will be in the long run.
The less prone you're gonna be to algae.
Having a good filter is always helping
but you need to help the system
with introducing as many plants as possible.
This Elatine is a nice plant.
The only trick to keeping it alive
is to have a nice cool water.
So don't try this at home if your room
has a higher temperature.
And you need a lot of CO2.
This Rotala 'Red Mini' is a nice plant
that will not grow high.
This means that I can use it in a nano tank.
I'm gonna plant it in the bacground.
You're not gonna see it at this moment.
But after a couple of weeks they will grow up
and the tops will show behind these plants.
Here. So you will have a nice red finish in the backgound.
Okey, you can see now
where I plant the Rotalas.
In the background.
Only in the center.
Not on the sides.
Okey guys, we are ready with the planting.
You might want to add some more patches
just one or two patches of something else.
Into the Elatine to have some detail in it later.
after they're grown together.
It's up to you to decide.
To improve the tank a little bit.
Having a nano tank is nice thing because you can always
Tweek it a little bit.
I want to show you the light guys.
I'm really excited because we have this
nano tank light here with us.
ONF light, you guys tell me what does it stand for.
ONF. One Night F....?
(laugs)
Alright, I don't know.
Viktor told me not to joke about this.
But I just have to joke all the time, you know me.
It's the best light from Taiwan at this moment.
It's the Rose Gold color.
You can see it now.
It has many features that are really absolutely needed.
For a nano tank. One of these features
is the adjustability..
You can adjust the height.
You can adjust the deapth.
You can adjust the strength of the light.
Finally guys, finally! It's one of the lights that is strong enough
to have a proper Nature Aquarium in a nano tank.
We didn't have that before in the LED section.
We're really happy to have this light here with us.
The Rose Gold... Flat one.
Is here in Green Aqua!
I'm gonna screw on the bottom part.
I have not used this before but at the Green Aqua
Gallery we've been testing one of these guys
for months now.
Like that.
I don't really like the fact that this one is in the front.
So I'm just gonna move it to the other side.
It's gonna look much better there.
A really good thing about it is that you can adjust
the height - there's a little rubber-ring here
which you can just move down a little bit.
If you move it down then the light will stand higher
If you move it up...
Then the light will stand lower.
Okey guys, the aquarium is ready.
The light is ready, let's switch it on.
There's a switch on the bottom of it.
If you keep pushing it
the light will turn on.
Wonderful-wonderful strength!
I really love it.
All we have to do now is fill it up with water.
Have the filtration plugged in.
To have the filter hoses, to have the CO2 system.
You have a lot of nice glass things from ADA.
Here. Specially made for nano tanks.
This is the outflow.
This is the bubble counter.
That will go with a hose to the diffuser.
We will probably put the diffuser on the opposite side.
From the outflow.
So the water will be pushed down here,
and it will work against the bubbles that are coming out
from the diffuser.
Okey, so this is it.
Let us know what you think guys.
I hope you really like this aquarium.
And you are not gonna say
that this is the ugliest aquarium made by a pro - again.
Let's see how it looks like when it's filled up.
Thank you for joining us to this video for this week.
I hope that you like the Green Aqua YouTube channel.

The Scariest Car I've Ever Worked On, It Can Kill You - Duration: 5:25.
Rev up your engines, johnny asks, what's the scariest car you ever
worked on, ok well I'd have to say the scariest car I've
ever worked on was the first generation toyota prius,
and here's why, that had a hybrid battery inside and it had 288 volts in it, to give
you an idea, to work on them you got to have mutlimeters like this one, you can't use cheap
stuff, you got to use expensive stuff, but realize that 288 volts can kill you, most
cars of course are just 12 volts, 12 volts is very low power, you can stick your tongue
on a positive terminal and your finger on a negative and nothing is going to happen
to you, it wouldn't hurt you at all on a 12 volt system,
but with 288 volts that can kill you, hey your house has 120 volts that can kill
you too, well imagine 288 volts it can easily kill you, if you want to work on those cars,
you have to buy special electrician gloves, their 2 layers, first theirs an inner layer
that you put over your hands then theirs an outerlayer and you have to check the inner
layer every time you work on them, you got to blow them up and then if you hold them
and you see them leaking out somewhere, that means theirs a pinhole somewhere,
well electricity can go through that pinhole and kill you, so ever time you work on a car
you got to put on these fancy gloves, check them to make sure their not leaking, and then
be very careful that you don't short any positive to ground when you're messing with 288 volts,
believe me when the first time I worked on one of those things, it was a very scary experience,
and from what I've read, some of these responders, they see a vehicle that's an electric car,
hybrid car like a Prius, and they know it's got 288 volts, their going to be very leary
about trying to reach in a rescue people if something is shorted outside and they grab
some of the metal and they get 288 volt, so really that's the scariest thing and I don't
really mess around with them much, I'll work on the other parts of the cars,
but I tend to stay away from the 288 volt systems on those things because that's deadly
voltage it can kill you, Van says scotty I saw the video where you
said not to use additives in your gas, what about the Gumout complete fuel system cleaner,
it's a good fuel system cleaner but that said, most people never need it,
if you buy a used car and it's a piece of junk and nobody ever changed the filter, the
oil was never changed and the engine is all carboned up inside, sure a cleaner can help
it somewhat, or if you live in a place where they have
really crappy gas like the guys tell me in Cuba and like in Pakistan a lot of their gas
is crap and you got to put additives in it because the gas burns so poorly it clogs up
the engine, but here in the US, I got 3 well 2 toyotas
and a lexus sitting in the driveway and they work perfectly fine, but if you buy a used
car and you don't know it not a bad idea, but normally you never need to put cleaner
in a car, the additives that you need are generally in the gas they let you buy if you
buy quality gasoline, Panito says scotty should I get a CVT or manual
2018 civic coupe as a base model, I live in New York City I was thinking CVT, rethink,
get a standard, the one problem with hondas has always been that their automatic transmissions
were always somewhat weak, those CVT transmissions are much more complex than the automatics
and the problem with honda is their always trying to make their own transmissions which
is kind of a mistake, most manufacturers these days don't even make their own transmissions,
they buy them from somebody else, like the Chrysler rams and their vans now, their using
aisin a Japanese transmission, a lot of the Volvos are aisin Japanese transmissions, allison
is an Indiana company and they make truck transmissions for all kinds of truck companies,
honda makes their own and their kind of weak, I would go with the manual on that, it's going
to last a lot longer, belcher says what's your opinion on the v6
ford mustand 2003 era, well you know I like the way the cars look, but I don't like the
v6 engine, their kind of a weak engine, they don't hold up as long as the v8s, they certainly
don't have the power that the v8s had, I'm not a real fan of the v6s in those,
I like the v8s I mean, to me the mustang has a rumble of a v8 and the 6 it's like meh,
you know if you're a slower driver and you like the way the car looks and drives, go
right ahead and get one but, I like the v8s in those things,
potta, scotty I just went through a body of water and it looks like theirs steam coming
out of the radiator, the car acts and seems fine but the steam has be worried,
you probably don't have to worry, only one of two things can happen,
one you go through water, water gets on the radiator, the radiator gets rid of heat, so
if you got a bunch of water on the radiator, it will eventually steam up from the heat
and then it will eventually just evaporate off and it will stop doing it,
that's normal that will happen, but let's say your up north somewhere where the water
is really cold and your car is really hot, if you do go through a bunch of water, ice
cold water hitting the plastic or the metal on the radiator can make old brittle ones
crack and start to leak, so if you find out days later that your still
getting steam, it's damaged and you want to have it pressure tested for leaks and stuff,
but if it goes away, that just happens from the water getting on the radiator and it's
got to come off somehow and the hot radiator will just steam it off,
so if you never want to miss another one of my new car repair videos, remember to ring
that bell!

These are Mental Health Kryptonite (The Problems with Ego and Fear) - Duration: 13:08.
it's kryptonite Superman a little souvenir for the old hometown I've
spared no expense to make you feel right at home so it's just having this amazing
conversation with a really good youtuber friend of mine and I was like you know
what I'm not gonna be selfish I'm gonna make a video about this and help the
entire world what is up everybody this is Chris from the rewired soul where we
talk about the problem but focus on the solution and if you're new to my channel
my channel is all about mental health so all my videos are designed to help you
with your mental and emotional well-being so bring that kind of stuff
make sure you subscribe and ring that notification now so yeah we'll start
this video with a little bit of story time let me introduce you a friend of
mine a very dear friend of mine this is kayla from the channel panko bunny all
right and we'll provide links to her channel down below don't take her
channel out and subscribe she makes a ton of amazing adorable delicious treats
she also does other kind of recipes and you'll see through the conversation that
we had like she will be making some more cool content anyways kayla is on a train
right now and her returning and she was congratulating me on my recent success
Thank You Kayla and Kayla's been around like since the beginning like since I
first started my youtube channel and I had like less than like 500 subscribers
Kayla have been talking she's given me advice and tips because she's been in
YouTube for a while she has like over 60,000 subscribers
she's gigantic over on Instagram and she's helped me was gradually a success
I'm like girl one of my missions in life is to get Kayla to a subscriber so ideas
and brainstorm and we're gonna get you there girl we're gonna get you that
silver play button anyways she was talking about and I was just giving her
ideas like I'm always trying to figure out you know obviously like what what
can I do how can I take this topic everybody's talking about and use it to
bring in a new audience and find things that people can relate to right so Kayla
with her needs and food on my she do this so I started tossing around
ideas with her and she told me that she's worried about being a sellout
right and that's why I was like girl girl I'm like you know what all
Kryptonite is do you know what our kryptonite is ego and fear those things
are kryptonite right so we're talking about this and I'm gonna touch on this
again later because she has a she has a healthy fear she's afraid her version of
selling out she's worried about making videos or getting brand deals for stuff
that she doesn't really believe in absolutely absolutely one of the themes
throughout this video when I tell you guys to quit killing so much about what
people think it's that you always gotta check in with your moral compass that's
the way that you overcome your ego and your fears okay anyways we're talking
like this is definitely something that holds a bunch of youtubers back but it's
probably holding a bunch of you back as well my mental health is that my ego is
my worst enemy my ego is something that kept me in my addiction my ego is
something that can be angry my ego is something that held me back from being
truly happy and what's evil what is this ego thing there's a great book that I'm
trying to find the time to read but until I get to that book and make a
review of it I check out this short clip Omega the ego creation once and seeks
the approval from the outside it wants to be fed by likes it wants to be fed by
following it wants to be fed by people feeding your you know you oh you're good
well it's not whatever you just produced or that that's beautiful that's great
yeah I think that you're really worthy now the thing is that what if it's taken
away from me bingo right there so either it's fed by these things this this
social status right all of you have heard me say all of you have heard me
say how much I hate social hierarchies because these are things that held me
back for so long not so much social hierarchies because those are gonna be
around no matter what I do but me caring about my social status is something that
killed me and think about how much is killing you too right
think about how you think do you have to have a certain
or certain clothes or certain job or certain amount of money or a certain
house all these different things the way you got to look on Instagram or Facebook
or Twitter all these things that are based on your ego how you want the world
to perceive you because you can so much about what people think right so when I
was talking to Kayla like part of this this whole sellout thing we're worried
about what people are gonna think about us right like the only reason the only
reason my channel is certainly to have an incline is because I got rid of that
I got rid of the fears right and you've been seeing me trudged
through it and like I hope you guys see underlying messages with my videos of
who I am or what I'm doing like you will see that I give less than
zero about some of the comments out there right like I have people who have
commented in my YouTube comments and they said Oh Chris I've been with you
since the beginning before you started making videos about youtubers by the way
if you want some more details on that Q&A yeah my ego might have held me back
and like welcome back to tough love Chris like here's the thing here's the
thing like me being cool is not gonna get me anywhere me like hearing like oh
yeah okay I don't care in my treatment center do you know how many times I gave
tough love to the people in my addiction treatment center there are so many
people young people young men young women even older men and older women
they spend their entire treatment episode trying to look cool and then
they go back on a relapse some of them even pass away right so your need to
feel cool to look cool to other people like where's that gonna get you I did
that for a long time I was like this persona this facade and all I did was
keep me sick all I did was keep me sick like I think I think it looks like I'm
just in a bubble I think we're hip ster face but that's a poem with hipsters
like oh yeah like I'm just so cool I'm so cool that I don't do trendy things
right like what that guy like I'm the kind of guy where I could tell you
stories about how like I interviewed Fall Out Boy before they got big like we
either fault interview Fall Out Boy when their
tickets were only $10 quote-unquote sold out screw it good for
them I love those guys sell out all you watts you know what I mean because like
selling out is something that we got to think of and by the way quick plug
speaking of selling out you want this cool shirt you want to be my twinsies
head over to the rewiring soul merch store get yourself one anyways back to
selling out what's selling out and what are the pros and cons by the way how
many of you real big fish sell out great song I love it I used to be a little
stock here anyways what is selling out selling out is kind of what I think
Kailas feel is backing brands that she doesn't believe in you know what I mean
and putting putting on this fake show this is something that's been going on
in the beauty community like sayings they love this product or like this
product like we sell out when we promote things for money this is one way to sell
out we promote things for money and we don't really believe in time we don't
really back them we make up lies like oh I love this product forever and all of
that right and like that's a thing like I've done flak about better help that's
a great example my ego gives zero once again you know why
because I check in with my moral compass I am NOT latch on to better help because
of my affiliate links I'm because because I truly believe within the
depths of my soul that they are a good good company you know why because my
girlfriend has benefited from their services judo from positively oil has
benefited from their service a lot of people from my channel have benefited
from my services but but if I care about what other people thought I wouldn't
promote a service I could possibly help people because I'm so worried about what
you're thinking and that affects my ego my ego is this monster inside of me that
can change who I am and make me do things that destroy my mental health so
now let's talk about the second piece of kryptonite that destroys our mental
health fear our fears right so now that we've identified the ego okay this thing
that is fed by social status and what people think of us now we can start
looking at these as fears right fear of not being liked
right fear of being judged fear of not being accepted for youtubers fear of
losing subscribers fear of Thomas think about these things think
about all of these fears and I'm somebody with a generalized anxiety
disorder so something I had to do to manage my anxiety and this crazy thing
up here is to walk through fears and really identify these fears it's saying
are these rational or irrational fears right things that affect my ego or not
things I need to be afraid of you know I need be afraid of like things that can
cause health problems to myself to my son to Tristan to my loved ones to the
planet right but if Joe Schmoe 576 in my comment section doesn't like what I'm
doing peace out Joe you know what I mean like we need to start separating our
fears a saying is this something I should be afraid of like I have so many
youtuber friends so many youtuber friends who like tell me all these
things that are afraid of doing for losing subscribers or what their
subscribers are going to think and all this and again this goes back to your
ball compass it goes right back to your moral compass if you are staying true
right if you are doing things with the proper motives and the proper intentions
yes you're gonna lose people along the way sorry you said I've lost people who
are in the way of course I have but look at how many more people aren't helping
as well you see what I mean so like and this is some more tough love like I have
no pity for you I have no sympathy for you if you're letting your fear of
numbers your fear of life's your fear of commas if you're letting those things
run your life I don't feel sorry for you right because what happens is that
people stay stuck in the problem and they don't move to the solution it's
really easy for youtubers or even us as people to say all society's keeping us
down or oh the algorithms keeping us down but don't get me wrong
Society and the algorithm of YouTube definitely have their problems but what
good does it do when we focus on those problems why don't we start moving
towards the solution so that's what I'm saying I don't feel sorry for anybody
anybody who is letting the fears of subscribers or likes determine their
success in life you see what I mean because that's something I wouldn't want
you to feel bad for me that's on me you know what I mean it's not on them it's
on me so how do you keep your your egos in check something I mention
all the time I'm gonna mention it again mindfulness mindfulness mindfulness
mindfulness whatever thoughts come in my head right I'm able to sit down and
notice all mindfulness is is noticing it's slowing down as you know I have a
lot of energy but I slow down and I'm like where is this thought coming from
where is this fear coming from this is from my ego right
is this a rational or irrational fear because a lot of us what happens is we
let our minds get the best of us and just run away and they turn these small
things into gigantic things because we don't catch them soon enough all right
but the more we practice mindfulness the more we can catch these things so now I
can catch this thing to say okay is this my ego
what about motives what are my intentions am I really selling out am i
doing something with the wrong motives with the wrong intentions am i
supporting something bad just so I can make a dollar off of it oh wait no I'm

How to Create a Sales Generating Webinar Sales Funnel | HIGH TICKET COACHING - Duration: 6:10.
Ready to create a sales generating webinar?
You're going to need three things: research, engaging content, and a strong call to action.
Today on Marketing Tools and Tech I'm going to help you with all three.
Welcome back.
Today we're covering how to create a sales generating webinar.
There are plenty of ways that you can create a webinar, but if you want to create a webinar
that actually makes sales, there are only three things that you really need.
And the first is research.
First you have to understand what your ideal client wants.
You want to not only know what they want, but you also want to know what their current
beliefs are around what they cannot do.
What are they not able to achieve?
What's holding them back?
What fears, doubts, and frustrations do they have?
These are all things that I cover with my clients when we get started on creating a
webinar.
But I'm going to share each of those things with you today.
You want to make sure you research into their struggles, their fears, their doubts, their
hopes and their dreams and their wishes.
And all of those things you need to know before you even start or create the webinar.
Now, this research process, which is a huge part of marketing sometimes takes a lot of
time.
It takes time to refine and test and tweak things and figure out exactly what your ideal
client wants.
But once you have this research completed, it makes everything else so much easier.
And if you don't have this research done well, then it makes everything else that much harder.
So there are a couple of different places that I like to get my research.
I like to do research phone calls and this is actually a process that I share inside
of the absolutely free 5-day Gain More Clients challenge.
So if you're interested in figuring out what to say on those calls and how to get that
research, then you definitely want to join that challenge.
I'll leave details in the description box for that.
I like to do research calls.
I also like to search inside of a website called Quora.
I also use Facebook groups.
Sometimes I'll go in on Linkedin, but really my main place is going into a Facebook group,
typing in the topic and then looking to see what people have been asking about it.
One of the ways that I created this video for this piece of content was I searched the
topic webinar in one of my favorite groups and when I searched this topic in that group,
I found out that people were asking, "Hey, my webinar didn't make any sales, so how can
I actually make sales?"
And so that's why I created "how to create a sales generating webinar."
Everything that you do in marketing starts with the research.
That's first.
The second thing that you need in order to create a sales generating webinar is engaging
content.
A lot of times people believe that you have to have teach content and that you need to
share all of your tricks and your tactics and your strategies and just overwhelm people
with all of the step by step, and that's not necessarily true, but what you do need to
have is engaging content.
You need to make sure that person is following you mentally along each step until you get
to the end and actually make your offer.
Because if they're not following along with you, by the time you make your offer, it's
going to fall flat.
So you've got to make sure that you have engaging content.
That means not only sharing your results if you want to share your results, but sharing
the results of your clients, sharing what's possible for them, giving them a visual of
the other side, and not only that, but including parts of your process, or parts of your strategy
or the Aha moments that your clients had.
There are a couple of different things that you can include in your webinar to make it
engaging content and it's not just the slides, it's the actual content, so that's the second
thing you need in order to create a sales generating webinar.
The final thing that you need is a clear call to action in a very strong call to action.
As you go through your engaging content, hopefully you are giving them an idea that you are going
to be making an offer and I always recommend that you tell people upfront, "hey, I'm
planning to make you an offer at the end of it" and that way your ideal client by the
end of it knows, "okay, even though I'm watching this webinar right now, she's still
going to help me" if I need to work with her, I'll find out how to work with her by
the end of it.
And in your call to action as you're leading up to it in your webinar, your strong call
to action is, "here's what you can do in order to work with me further."
You can book a call.
You can click this link and purchase this course directly or purchas this group coaching
program directly, and when you do that, you've got to be very, very clear on exactly what
they're going to see when they click that link.
Don't just say, click here to book a call or go to this link in order to purchase.
Walk them through the process a scroll through the page.
Give them a visual of what it will look like, what button they're going to have to click,
exactly what's gonna come next, what information they're going to need to put in and make that
call to action super, super strong.
Not only showing them but also backing it up with other people, examples of other clients
who did that same action, who took that same action and saw the results at this ideal client
obviously wants because they're on that webinar.
That's the third step.
Getting that research together so you can create engaging content and have a strong
call to action is really the foundation of creating a client generating system.
Now this system and this process is the same system that I've been using with clients where
they're able to not only spend $10,000 to get $100,000, but really create something
that allows them to over the next 12 months, earn as much money as they desire in their
business.
This client getting system that I've been using for myself and with clients is very
powerful and it's something that you can put into place in as little as six weeks.
If you'd like to learn more about it, all you have to do is check out my latest training.
It's called.

ROI that much more.

North Carolina Genealogical Society Bible Record Project 2018 - Duration: 4:13.
Hey everybody, my name is Connie Knox. I am here to help you go further faster, but factually with the family research
I just returned from the North Carolina genealogical society fall conference
And while I was there I met a gal named
Sharon Gable and she is working on a Bible project for the society where she is scanning Bible pages, and they are seeking
Bible pages to put into a book so I asked her to tell me about it. This is what she had to say.
We're going to create a book of the Bible records for NCGS.
This not only preserves our records
It also allows other people to see what you've got tucked away in a closet
This is the second volume that NCGS has done last one was done in
2009 and they brought a Xerox machine and in order to do it because that's where the technology was at the time
well, we're able to take it with a camera and capture all of these images along with the information about the person so we can
contact them in case there's some handwriting we can't read and
hopefully next year in 2020. We'll be able to publish this and it depends on how much response we get
So not only are you photographing them, but you're indexing them?
Well, once we type them because we're not putting the original images into the book
We'll, we'll type them will index. Um
and
Then we'll publish the book. And yes
they will be indexed not only by the name of the individual but also by the
Counting if the people provide County about this person was in Johnston County. We'll be able to index it that way as well
So that somebody who's got some ancestors in Johnston County can looking there hopefully get some
Information that might be related to them
So how far and wide are you doing?
Just North Carolina? Yes, because we're the North Carolina Genealogical Society
But North Carolina residents did not stay in, North Carolina
So there are records from Texas where the people come out of North Carolina. We're interested in that as well.
It's not just people who are physically living in North Carolina. And when do we expect this to be published? Hopefully next year
it depends on the type of response that we get and
whether or not we get another records to produce a decent sized book, because obviously
one of the problems is you've got to have enough or it's not
economical to produce a book. If people have scanned copies of their Bible records already, can we send them in?
Yes, ma'am, email me and where do we send?
Publications at NCGenealogy.org. Go on the website and you can find out all about us. We're on the Facebook page.
That's how a lot of people found out that this was going on today.
So...
Email me. And now you don't have produced the book previously right? The society the society
produced a book in 2009. Chris Oakley was in charge of it at that time
And is there anything else you'd like to add?
Send your Bible records in. And you could take images with your cell phone. That works great.
You don't have to bring them in for me to do it because I live in Virginia.
Well there you have it straight from the genealogical society.
They are looking for North Carolina Bible records, if you know somebody or if you have them make sure you contact them.
There's information in the show notes below and make sure that you send yours in so that you're included as well.
Also know that they have a previous book that they have published...
So there are some already and I'll put information about that in the show notes as well. Alright until next time
Have fun researching your family tree.
