Then, let's take a step back and think about this.

I will start with this premise: Men are physically stronger than women.

I know: even this is controversial these days.

But men have more muscle mass and greater bone density; they run faster and punch harder.

It's called biology.

If a woman is going to protect herself against a man who intends to do her serious harm

she needs to even the odds.

And what's the best way for her to do that?

Own a gun and know how to use it.

Given this, you would think that feminists would be lining up in front of gun shops,

spending quality time at the shooting range, and filing for concealed carry permits.

But when was the last time you heard a feminist speak out for women owning guns?

You haven't, because feminists aren't for gun ownership.

They're for taking guns away from women.

Well, you might say, if no one owned a gun then everybody would be safer.

Yes, and it would be nice if cheesecake was a diet food.

There are over 300 million guns in the United States and that's not going to change any time soon.

But even if we could build a giant magnet, fly it across the country and snap up every gun,

it wouldn't much matter to women's safety.

In Great Britain, where it's almost impossible to get a gun, a woman is three times more

likely to be raped than in America, according to a study by David Kopel,

a professor of constitutional law at Denver University.

Here's another telling comparison between gun-free UK and gun-owning US.

In the United States only about 13 percent of home burglaries take place when the occupants

are home, but in the UK almost 60 percent do.

Professor Kopel explains the disparity:

"American burglars . . . avoid occupied homes because of the risk of getting shot.

English burglars prefer occupied homes, because there will be wallets and purses with cash."

And, by the way, an assailant doesn't need a gun to be dangerous.

What do you do if you're a woman and a man comes at you with a knife?

Or just his bare hands?

If you want to depend on pepper spray or a whistle, okay, but I think your finger on

the trigger of a gun would be more effective.

Take the example of mail carrier Catherine Latta.

After she had been assaulted and raped by her ex-boyfriend, Latta tried to purchase a firearm.

She was told it might take a month to get a permit.

"[I'll] be dead by then," she recalls telling the clerk.

That afternoon, she went to a rough part of town and bought a handgun.

Five hours later, her ex-boyfriend attacked her outside her home.

She shot him in self-defense, and saved her life.

I should add that firing a gun is very rare.

Just carrying it -- let alone brandishing it -- is a deterrent.

And, isn't that the issue?

Personal safety?

How is a woman supposed to defend herself?

What if an intruder breaks into her home?

Liberal TV personality Sherri Shepherd answered this question a few years ago.

"At one in the morning the alarm in our house went off," Shepherd told her co-hosts

on the popular daytime show, "The View."

As the alarm blared, her husband, Sal, went downstairs to look around.

If something happened to him, a terrified Shephard realized, she had no way to protect

herself or her son Jeffrey.

" ...All I had was this wicker basket…

. [I] don't have a bat, nothing."

"'We're going to get a gun,' I told Sal.

[This] just made me realize how vulnerable you are if you can't protect your home.

And the police [were] wonderful; they came about seven minutes later, but to me,

that's seven minutes too late."

Luckily for Shepherd, the incident was a false alarm.

But there are a lot of cases where the alarm is real, especially in high crime areas.

Yet every year, progressives push for more and more gun control without ever considering

who will pay the price.

It won't be the bad guys.

They will always get the guns they want.

It will be the good women who need to equal the odds in a dangerous confrontation with a man.

Women owning guns shouldn't be a partisan issue.

In fact, it's a women's rights issue.

I'm all for equality between the sexes.

And I practice what I preach.

That's why I own a gun.

Hello, my name is Layla, a.k.a Laynatti

I'm a student at Bunka Fashion College most of the time,

but I also am a freelance model

and sometimes appear on TV as well.

I would like to give you a little peek into my bag and show you the items I usually carry around.

Let's start the show!

This is the bag that I usually carry around.

This is the flame pattern bag by "LOVE MOSCHINO"

I've wanted this for so long

And finally managed to buy it a while back.

I use this allllll the time ( *´艸｀)

To start off, this is my wallet!

I have been using this since I graduated from high school

so it's a bit worn-out.

But I'd like to use it for as long as I can.

I'm not sure but I think I bought this mask at Daiso. (100 yen shop)

Sometimes when I don't have time to put on makeup in the morning and have to go to school,

or when I'm tired after a long day, I take off all my makeup and contacts before heading home,

Thats why I always carry masks.

I sometimes even hand them out to friends.

I always carry them around especially when I have a large bag.

This is a Roller.

I probably bought this either at a Daiso or Plaza.

If I'm bored or have a moment to spare, I use this on my legs or stomach.

It's supposed to help with unwanted swelling.

I carry this around a lot but to be honest, I don't use it that much.

That's life.

Next we have...

A portable charger.

I recall using this since I bought it back when I was still in high school.

I have this for when my phone runs out of battery, or if something happens. You never know!

I also carry around a regular phone charger as well.

I always forget to charge my portable charger so it's useless half the time.

There are places like Starbucks or McDonalds where you can use a plug.

That's why I carry this around to make sure I can charge my phone when I'm at places like that.

I also carry around sunglasses or fashionable fake glasses.

There are a couple of uses for them, again like when I want to hide the fact that I don't have any makeup on.

And also when...

When I feel like even though I got my makeup on just right, there's something missing,

I always have a pair of sunglasses on hand.

And my fake glasses, I really like this one so I carry this around with me a lot now.

Next we have...

Different types of body mist.

I personally don't like to put on a lot of perfume, so this body mist is a nice and easy alternative.

You can use it anywhere so I like to have this on me.

And this one I bought quite recently.

It says you can use it on your body, hair and even on your face because It's kind of a skin lotion

I feel like It's better for my health so I use this one a lot more recently.

Anyways, you can buy these for under 1,000 yen at a Don Quijote or a drug store.

It's realy nice to have.

This one is called "SEXIEST FANTASIES"

I think you might know a product called "BODY FANTASIES" in a colorful bottle.

I think this is meant to be the more adult version of that one.

I really like how this smells so I'm on my second or third bottle.

And this one is called "Cheily" flagrance water fairy scent.

This one is seriously useful.

If your hair is getting messed up by humidity, or even when it's too dry just use this.

I highly recommend it.

OK, these are my earphones.

I always misplace stuff.

I keep leaving my earphones at school or simply cant find them. And this happens a lot.

That's why I keep a not too expensive spare one on me.

I can't live without music,

so this is important.

I listen to all genre of music.

I listen to western music, J pop, EDM,

I like Japanese Idol music and anime songs. I listen to everything honestly.

This was in my bag by chance today.

It's my Figitspinner.

I think I bought this at Harajuku for just over 300 yen.

When vids of these were going viral on Instagram, I couldn't understand what the fuss was all about.

But when I actually got one, I was hooked.

When I'm bored I play with this.

Just spin it. Like this.

I have two phones.

This one's an iPhone.

One is primarily for playing music,

so I can't use it to call people.

Without this, I'd have no music so I'd die.

So this is my main phone.

I just got a new case for it though, that's Barbie themed.

Found this at Don Quijote

My main phone is actually not an iPhone but an Android phone.

And It's actually pretty hard to find a really cute case that fits perfectly.

I love Barbie so this was like, love at first sight. I just had to have it.

It's my favorite.

And this is a makeup bag that I like to use.

I have this so I can fix my makeup when I'm outdoors.

It has lipstick, powder, eyeshadow, eyeliner, and stuff.

So it's not my primary makeup kit, It's mainly for fixing my makeup.

I got this for my birthday last year.

It's big enough to fit brushes, so when I want to use a brush to fix my makeup it comes in handy.

And even though it looks big, you can scrunch it up a bit and make it decently compact.

So even when I'm using a smaller bag, it doesn't take up too much space.

I really like that about this.

I'm pretty sure this bag is made by "Francfranc"

And that's it, for what was in my bag today!

There were a few things in that were kinda silly and unnecessary.

Today... Well, usually I don't carry much around with me on a regular day.

So It does change a bit from day to day.

But maybe not so much.

So there's a school I mentioned earlier called Bunka Fashion College that I attend,

on November 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, for these three days, there will be a school festival.

And every year at the school festival there's a fashion show.

And I'm a part of the team in charge of making the costumes for the fashion show.

Everyone please come to the event and see our show, and just have a good time!

Other than that, there will be a marketplace set up, and a chance to see the other student's creations.

It's an event that you can stay there the whole day and be entertained.

So please, come and hang out at the event!

How to Make Your Video Go Viral? Social Media Minute - Duration: 3:00.

Hi, I'm Jan Rezab this is Social Media Minute.

Today I wanna talk about

how to make your video and content go viral on social media.

The important part is, step one, don't try and make your video go viral.

Because trying to make your video go viral

is like trying to find a needle in a haystack, you basically can't do it.

If you're focusing on that and your agency says "let's go make a viral video",

don't use that agency.

You really have to make shareable content that is engaging,

reaches the right audience at the right time in the right place.

It could happen that that video will be shared a little bit more

and occasionally it can happen that it might go viral.

But usually what video makers do when they "go" viral is

they're being featured a bit better, they have the right keywords in them,

so it's more the hard work and the community building behind it

that makes the videos go viral.

But there's no such thing as going viral and people still don't realize this.

What is it about? It's about making the right content.

Step one.

Really finding out and inspiring yourself of what other people do,

what resonates with the audiences.

Then, it's choosing the right channels, the platforms, the methods,

the types of content, the call-to-actions.

There's a lot of hard work behind it.

Not just *poof* a really good viral video.

Then of course, it's about promotions, ads and audiences.

You really have to figure out:

Is that influencer someone I wanna work with to boost my audience?

Is that ad strategy I have the right one?

Are my audiences being selected properly

or am I just chasing for volumes of engagement and views?

Which you shouldn't, you should focus that whole strategy around your objective.

Please, stop trying to make your videos go viral.

Stop trying to make your content go viral.

Because what are you gonna do?

You're gonna have one viral video that you're gonna put out there

and it's gonna have a lot of views. What are you gonna do with that audience?

Do you have a follow-up viral video?

You know, viral videos are one kind of thing,

you can't typically repeat them.

And to repeat them, that's very, very random at that point.

If you're gonna have a big spike in a viral video,

you're not gonna have anything to say to that audience afterwards.

Again, planning, consistency, promotions and advertising

and the right strategy and planning behind your content.

Please, share this with your agency.

If they think they can build a viral video for you, share this video.

If you and your colleagues think that viral video are the thing,

again, share this video because there's no such thing as a viral video anymore.

You can have a highly-shared video, not a viral video.

seaweed bento, boiled sauce tempura bowl special soup, chicken nanban bento

meat and veggie bento, grilled saury bento fried oyster bento, tempura bowl

special yakiniku bento, and chicken kara-age bento

totaling 10

Hottomotto's bento are always so yummy

I've always thought it would be so awesome to live 5 minutes away from Hottomotto

however there are none that close to me

its been a hot minute since I last had hottomotto, yep... itadakimasu

looking at their website they posted up their top 5 of september

so I started off by buying all those so lets start off by eating them

at 5th place is....

meat and veggie bento!!

one of the draws to this must be that you can get both your meat and veggies in one

edamame (soybean) cabbage, carrot, onion, bean sprouts, meat... all sorts of things in here

and the rice looks so yummy

a very homecoked flavor to this

you get so much of the main course from this meat and veggie bento

if I was eating this at the normal ratio I'd eat rice with my meal I'd totally end up running out of rice

its so yummy that I get to eat so much of the main course with my rice

all done

in 4th....

chicken nanban bento its covered in tartar sauce

its mixed with this sweet and tangy sauce that makes it so yummy

the meat is nice and juicy ~would be so nice if this store was a bit closer to me~

they've got such an assortment of bentos to choose from

I had the hardest time trying to figure out what to select from their menu

I'm not quite finished this chicken nanban bento but...

I'll disclose 3rd place

in 3rd its the special pork soup wow... its amazing that a soup even made it onto their top list

there must be a lot of people who buy this along with their bentos

its so packed full of stuff

yumz

ahhh its a properly made pork broth soup and definitely not made from instant

a lot of take out shops sell you instant soups

burdock, potato, carrot, onion, and pork

2nd place...

boiled sauce tempura bowl on top of the rice is a layer of tempura

shrimp, squid, fake crab, lotus root, eggplant green bean, 6 different things are included

shrimp

the batter is so fluffy and delish

the rice is covered with a sweet tendon sauce

all done

1st place is....

seaweed bento

with all sorts of bento to choose from seaweed bento takes the prized first place slot

well this seaweed bento contains so many different types of seaweed it must be because

there is at least 1 thing thats in here that any person would really like

and thats probably why this seaweed bento is so popular in a store that has so much bento selection

or..... perhaps..... if you've already picked the bento you're going to have

but you wanted just a bit extra because you need that to fill your empty stomach ~just like a person like me would say~

it might just be the reason you'd ask for an extra bento like this

the price is nice and reasonable as well

I feel as though this sort of seaweed bento has been sold since forever

and under the seaweed is...

bits of chopped up seaweed

keeps you wanting more rice

its even got bonito on it as well

the fried white fish is so crispy

I really appreciate that they made cut marks into all this seaweed here

without the cuts you get the whole piece of seaweed all at once at the first bite

I really appreciate the genius level attention to detail that they put into these bentos

but since this is a bento that they've sold for such a long time they must have had all this time to perfect it

it just might be that the first of these bentos they sold weren't cut like they are now

~makes ya' wonder~ #YukaThoughts

all done so I've gone through the top 5 listed on their website

so the rest are ones that I totally wanted to eat and as well as limited seasonal ones as well

next is.... grilled saury bento

its even got tempura as well these saury are in season right now

the saury are grilled to a tasty finish and the skin is so flaky crisp

and its got this sweet and salty sauce

next is a limited seasonal item fried oyster bento

it came with some sauce

i'll now dip it into the tartar sauce

the coating is so crisp and the oysters are so juicy and delish

all done

next is tempura bowl

the tempura is covered in egg and its so nice to have egg mixed into it

and its also covered in a sweet soy sauce based sauce

all done

next up is chicken kara-age bento

when I was a kid it always had to be this one

kara-age are so darn yummy aren't they

this spice is also very yummy as well its fried to a nice crisp

all done last up is a special yakiniku bento

this is another one that will make you ravenous for rice

the meat looks so yummy

the meat is so fatty and its got a bit of spice from the gochujang sauce.... YUMZ

keeps me wanting more rice

last mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita Hotto motto's bentos were so yummy

the bento's in their top 5 were filled with a many that they are known for

they all seemed so very freshly made and bento's made by a bento shop is so nice

and what made me really happy with these was that a lot of these bentos had so much of their main course with them

that really made me happy

for those want more veggies you can order a side salad as well

hottomotto's bentos are truly delish won't you all please give them a try?

Elegant Chateau for sale near Bordeaux - interview with Michael Baynes - Maxwell-Baynes: 1592163 - Duration: 3:40.

France is well known for having a lot of Chateaux and I'm sure it's one of the

reasons why France is one of the most visited countries in the world -

because you don't have to go very far to see a beautiful piece of real estate -

a beautiful chateau with a history. But there are not many chateaux that have a

history like this one - and there are even fewer that are this close to

the centre of Bordeaux and that are so accessible and yet so rural.

When I first came to this property I was struck by its grandeur. That's a very French word....

but it really suits this property. It's also exquisite, which is usually

something you would associate with jewelry or a piece of finely-made

metal or something like that. But this property is both grand and exquisite.

Somehow it captures those two things - it's got a charm but it's also a property

that is unmistakably luxurious. Maxwell-Baynes is the exclusive

affiliate of Christie's - we represent Christie's in the Bordeaux region and so

we get to see a lot of luxury in this sector. The way you would describe

luxury can cover a lot of different types of real estate.

It could be a very high-tech luxury property - but this is 'historic-authentic'.

The Count, who commissioned the architect to build it, directed him a little bit towards the

Italian style so it's a Palladian style of architecture and the Count was

blessed because the son-in-law came from a very famous family, that at that time

was making something called a Toile de Jouy - a Toile de Jouy

is a style of wallpaper that can either be fabric or a print and this

property has a couple of panels that are originals from the time it was built.

The next owner to come here will be a chapter in this

amazing chateau's history - dating back to the end of the 19th century.

I've often felt that properties choose their owners as much as owners choose

their properties and I've got to say I love this chateau. I mean - it's just an

incredible property. I love being here - walking in through the main doors

- and that incredible staircase and the chandeliers and then these fireplaces.

Its floorplan I think just embraces you - it's not a floor plan

that overwhelms and I have been in Chateaux that can be a little

overwhelming. Perhaps it's the height of the ceilings

or just the volume of the room - but this Chateau . . .

it's so elegant it just embraces you . .. it kind of takes you by the arm and just

makes you feel at home and comfortable and peaceful. So, gosh - I can't tell you -

I'm so excited to meet the person who buys this property because I can see

it's going to be another great chapter - another great moment in its history and

you DO participate in history when you take ownership of a place like this . . .

Flexbox CSS Tutorial for Beginners #5-Simple Responsive Menu - Duration: 10:50.

In this tutorial we are going to learn a new thing, inserting a menu into your flexbox

element.

There it goes.

You can see that all menu list items those are aligned into the

central position of this webpage, and on the other hand you can see that on Mouse

hovering they are just changing into a different background color.

And if you press control + shift + m and get back to the mobile

responsive view, you can see that at the lowest possible dimension of display, all

those menu items those are now aligned into the extreme left and they are having practically

a whole block, the whole width as you can observe over here.

So this is the thing that we are going to learn in this tutorial,

so stay tuned.

Hello and welcome to another new episode of learning simplified.

Now we have to create this menu as we can see here and we have to

create it into our project on which we are currently working on.

So in doing so the first thing that we will be doing here - get

back to stylesheet.CSS and here create new class.

Everything will be done in the same order as we have done previously.

So I am creating a class name 'menu' and here I am

creating padding:10px and here I am providing the list style to none such as there won't

be any bulleted style format present here.

And then all we are doing we are just creating an ul list class but we are not mentioning

any property of it, we are not providing any particular attribute over here,

but just create it.

Now here we will be now creating the property of anchor tag over

here..

Text decoration will be none, such as there won't be any underline.

And then there we are creating the color, for say in

the first case we are not providing any padding property over here.

All we are doing we are pressing control + s, and getting back

to index.HTML where we are creating, as we have discussed earlier that this menu shall

appear at the top of every other contents to

your web page; so that is why all we need to do, we need to call this class name here

and now all we have to do we have to create an

unordered list first, and then we have to create all those list items inside.

Everything that was discussed in our previous tutorial for reference, you may go behind

and watch How to create horizontal menu as we

have discussed all those technique to create the horizontal menu.

Now we have created an unordered list inside this div class 'menu' where 5 list items

have been introduced and we have created the corresponding stylesheet over here; this

menu class is defined and all those sort of things have been defined over here.

So now we Press control+S and get back to our project

and reload and now we can see that everything inside is alright, no problem with

it.

Now as we can see we haven't declared any kind of 'float' property over here inside

this list item as we did previously, instead we just left it alone we just left

it empty and here we can see that this menu item is now getting vertically listed.

Now if we do not provide this one, list style none, just reload and you can see that

these bulleted formats are appearing over here.

So to avoid these kind of bulleted formats it is practically the default value,

we are declaring here list style none.

Now just reload and you can see that all those bulleted formats are gone.

Now we have to make the amendments all over here.

Provide a background color.

You may choose your own background color with the aid of a graphics

editor as I am doing here.

Provide the hashtag always.

Reload.

Now it is almost done over here.

Now the question is as we can see we have to make it horizontal.

As we can see that all those menu items those menu items are practically

horizontal in nature but these of vertical.

Now in this particular case we making something more tricky over here, we are

practically targeting this media query, we are copying this menu ul from here, pasting

It Inside, and here we are stating 'display flex'.

So the display is flex in this particular case.

Now if we just press control + s, and get back to our project and

reload, we can see those menu items, those are practically getting horizontal, without

any kind of float attribute as we have done previously and as we did previously and

there is no presence of float left option over here, instead we have stated that at

minimum width of 768px, menu ul, it will be having a display flex option.

Now if we get back to our project and press Control + shift + m, and can see that at a

lower resolution, at a lower dimension, all those menu items those are getting

vertically stacked on each other, but in case of larger device preview if you just get

back over here we can see that those things are not getting horizontally aligned.

Now the rest of the things those you can do over

here the amendments, those are to be made...

We are providing a particular padding of, for say, margin property over here,

for say, 10px of either ends, that is, from the left end and from the right end.

Now this is the syntax that I have used here.

Now get back and reload and we can see that this is practically living a constant gap

of 10px of margin from both the ends; from left end and from right end.

But this is not a very suitable method if you are talking about a mobile responsiveness

over here.

So instead of providing such a margin, now we will be playing another trick

over here.

Now instead of doing anything else here first of all that you have to do you

have to mention this display block option here.

That is why in lower resolution if you encounter this kind of serious trouble like

those things are not getting proper view, now if you reload you can see that everything

is now present at its own style.

Everything is now present inside.

This is the amendment, the first thing that is needed

to do over here.

Now in this particular case, if we now inspect our earlier cases, we can see that we

have used a justified contained attribute.

Now this justify content attribute only works in the scenario when you are using display

flex to the parent div.

As you have used this display flex in a minimum width of 768px,

that means you have to use it over here.

In the first case if we use space around, press

control + s, get back to your project and reload, and you can see that all of your contents,

those are now practically spaced around, those are now practically leaving

equal spaces from both the ends, and they are

leaving equal gaps in between.

That means you don't have to worry about anything.

Now if instead of justify content of space around,

if we use here space-between, you know the drill quite well.

Reload and you can see that all of them are now equally spaced evenly.

But this is not the actual thing that we wish to have.

That is why we need to get back to our project and here, instead of using all

those attributes like space-around or space-between, we are using here center.

So if we use center and now if we reload, we

can see that everything is more concentrated into the central position.

And if you Press control + shift +M, you can see that instead

of Central alignment, it is now aligning into the extreme left of your webpage in case

of smaller display device width.

Now the rest of the things you know the drill all you have to do you have to create some

hovering menu item...

For say we are having a little bit of darker color over here.

Now just reload and you can see that it is in

action.

Here in this size this is already in action; background is getting changed due

to this hover color and there is a stiff padding.

So that is how you can create a menu inside your flexbox item.

Now Press control + shift + m and place here 767px.

You can see that still these menu items these are getting

vertically stacked down but if you provide 768px, now we can see that it is now

centrally aligned and it is changing its background.

So in this particular case there is no need of this menu ul list item.

So we can easily discard it off.

We are discarding it.

Now this is what we need to know, we needed to know from this tutorial.

We can do a lot of experiment with it.

okay we're recording okay short version my name is Alex. Stillhead I produce as.

I used to work under the name DFRNT and I am crowdfunding my second

Stillhead album which is called Copenhagen. It's gonna be a two CD set

The first CD will be original tracks the second CD will be remixes

and I'm looking for your help to make that happen.

Beyond that, this video is just gonna be talking about the project and telling

you a bit about the story behind why I'm doing this project in this way and

various other things, so if you're not interested in that you can hit stop now

and you can go and and help me support, contribute, share this in in some way and

that would be perfect. If you would like to hear more then continue

Never mind. So my name is Alex and I produce deep electronic music.

It has been described as cinematic, vast, epic, emotional, and many other things.

Musically it sets somewhere between dub, ambient, drum & bass

Downtempo, chill out, dub techno, house dubstep, deep techno and bass music.

I guess I take inspiration from many places and kind of mix it all together

and make it my own. I did spend around ten years making and releasing

music first under the name different and now under the name

Stillhead. As DFRNT there were four albums, twenty or so EPs

Stacks of remixes and compilation appearances alongside my Echodub record

label and my Cut record label. In 2013 I decided that I wanted to make a shift in

my production work. I wanted to focus less on releasing in quantity and

focus more on releasing quality tracks I could stand behind for years

and I wouldn't get sick off by the time they

had been released. If you don't know the release process can and take months

sometimes even years to happen and get through all these stages and by the time

you get to the end of that stage if you're not fully behind the tracks that

loses the momentum a little bit towards the end of the process.

so with Stillhead I've tried very carefully to release quality over

quantity as a result it's been almost two years since I released my debut

album Iceberg and it's about a year since my last EP

the Spiders EP and to date there have only been a handful of remixes a few

compilation appearances and aside from a short film soundtrack I did recently

not much else. The time has come however, to release another collection of tracks

and this time produced around and during the time that I spent living in the

Danish capital city Copenhagen. it seemed fitting to give the album the name

Copenhagen. That was weird... It seemed fitting to give the album the name

Copenhagen and the release will serve as something of a catalog of my time there.

I'd almost call it a tribute but I'm not sure I can do the city justice

just with my humble productions. I have created 10 brand new tracks previously

unheard all original stillhead tracks including a collaboration with a new

Estonian vocalist, a track with a previous collaborator and woozy rapper

afficionado Mu Vonz and a track co-written and produced with a good

friend and recent father Lee Chapman.

Not content with just a single

disks worth of audio I've also sourced remixes from some of the producers who I

really respect. Alongside those I am also going to provide a couple of my own

alternate versions and re-edits of my own to just kind of round out the

package so we're looking at 20 tracks altogether which I hope fill people's

ears and minds and hearts. The actual release itself. So... My first album

Iceberg felt like it went a little bit under the radar. Working with a different

label it had become a vinyl and digital only affair and I had kind of hoped I'd

I'd be able to press on to CD too. Unfortunately due to circumstances

outwith my control and the plug was pulled on the CD side of things it...

...I felt like the rock had been pulled a little bit from under my feet

not anybody's fault just an unfortunate situation and but I did feel like I'd

lost a little bit too much control over the project so as a result I'm keen to

release my second album on my own label and retain as much control over the

project as I can self releasing is something I like to encourage through my

howtoselfrelease.com stuff I'd kind of really I push people to do that

because I think is important that you can retain control. Having successfully

managed to do it in the past with a DFRNT album and a Cut compilation

the crowdfunding thing is something that I thought I would give another go and

with the added bonus of being able to take the mistakes that I've learned from

those other funding campaigns and sort of put that into action. Now what I'm

hoping for is to be able to raise enough contributions to launch the album in a

way that I would like on a format that I am keen to release on. I've already

invested a stack of my time and money into this project and the artwork has

been drafted and the original tracks have been completed the remixes are

being finished as I film this but the next step is to send everything for

mastering and confirm the initial format. After that I'll be able to order a

limited run of the product probably 100 or maybe 200 to begin with

depending on how much uptake there is on the funding

after completing the artwork and getting the masters compiled and sent off I'll

be able to order the rough prints that I would like to go with the album and

prints of an illustration I've done for the cover and I'm also keen to add as

many additional extras as possible to the project so and depending on how much

support and contributions I get I'm also considering things like a vinyl

release USB sticks with sample packs project files that kind of stuff for

producers maybe some extra remixes and also some other kind of swag type things

stickers and so on that you that you tend to get with these sort of things.

Those who contribute will get as much as I can feasibly afford to give and this

isn't a money-making exercise for me and it's about getting the music out there

it's about making the most of the album and in a sense making things a little

bit easier on my wallet and doing the crowdfunding thing allows me to

essentially take pre-orders for the album and then I can worry a little bit

less about the remix fees, packaging, mastering costs, promo, artwork,

distribution, pressing, which is conservatively looking like all together

a couple of grand that could be closer to three or four if there's enough

interest for this sort of thing. The perks I've got on offer are hopefully

enticing enough to convince you that this is a worthwhile project but it's

not really about that for me. I'm happy to make sure you get all your money's

worth. I imagine those who contribute are doing it more out of support,

appreciation from my work, and for unsigned artists than because they need

a new CD for their collection. Most of you will probably stream the album on

Spotify or listen on downloaded mp3 that's completely fine, but of course

being able to even shift 50 or 100 CDs would be brilliant. To know there are

even 50 people out there who appreciate my music and what I'm creating is really

an honour and I hope that I can connect with every single one of you in some way

at some point in the future. As for risks with a project well I

don't think there are any aside from the fact that it could completely flop but

the more support that I get the better the end product will be, but if I get

nothing then the project will still go ahead just in a cut down format the

album will still be released but the CDs might just be more regular, there's less

likely to be a run of prints or vinyl or any special promo or that sort of thing

it'll just slip out like a whisper on the wind. So if you can spare a few quid

some euros a couple of bucks the odd ruble a yen or two or whatever your

national denomination is then of course that will be gratefully received, if you

want to splash a bit more then please do I could use all the help I can get.

That said if you can't afford to contribute then I completely understand and if you

have the time or energy then you can help me by sharing this campaign, telling

anybody you think might be interested or just giving me a few shouts on social

media to help me spread the word. I look forward to getting this thing off the

so today! tadaa Its a Hotto Motto Bento Haul

seaweed bento, boiled sauce tempura bowl special soup, chicken nanban bento

meat and veggie bento, grilled saury bento fried oyster bento, tempura bowl

special yakiniku bento, and chicken kara-age bento

totaling 10

Hottomotto's bento are always so yummy

I've always thought it would be so awesome to live 5 minutes away from Hottomotto

however there are none that close to me

its been a hot minute since I last had hottomotto, yep... itadakimasu

looking at their website they posted up their top 5 of september

so I started off by buying all those so lets start off by eating them

at 5th place is....

meat and veggie bento!!

one of the draws to this must be that you can get both your meat and veggies in one

edamame (soybean) cabbage, carrot, onion, bean sprouts, meat... all sorts of things in here

and the rice looks so yummy

a very homecoked flavor to this

you get so much of the main course from this meat and veggie bento

if I was eating this at the normal ratio I'd eat rice with my meal I'd totally end up running out of rice

its so yummy that I get to eat so much of the main course with my rice

all done

in 4th....

chicken nanban bento its covered in tartar sauce

its mixed with this sweet and tangy sauce that makes it so yummy

the meat is nice and juicy ~would be so nice if this store was a bit closer to me~

they've got such an assortment of bentos to choose from

I had the hardest time trying to figure out what to select from their menu

I'm not quite finished this chicken nanban bento but...

I'll disclose 3rd place

in 3rd its the special pork soup wow... its amazing that a soup even made it onto their top list

there must be a lot of people who buy this along with their bentos

its so packed full of stuff

ahhh its a properly made pork broth soup and definitely not made from instant

a lot of take out shops sell you instant soups

burdock, potato, carrot, onion, and pork

2nd place...

boiled sauce tempura bowl on top of the rice is a layer of tempura

shrimp, squid, fake crab, lotus root, eggplant green bean, 6 different things are included

shrimp

the batter is so fluffy and delish

the rice is covered with a sweet tendon sauce

all done

1st place is....

seaweed bento

with all sorts of bento to choose from seaweed bento takes the prized first place slot

well this seaweed bento contains so many different types of seaweed it must be because

there is at least 1 thing thats in here that any person would really like

and thats probably why this seaweed bento is so popular in a store that has so much bento selection

or..... perhaps..... if you've already picked the bento you're going to have

but you wanted just a bit extra because you need that to fill your empty stomach ~just like a person like me would say~

it might just be the reason you'd ask for an extra bento like this

the price is nice and reasonable as well

I feel as though this sort of seaweed bento has been sold since forever

and under the seaweed is...

bits of chopped up seaweed

keeps you wanting more rice

its even got bonito on it as well

the fried white fish is so crispy

I really appreciate that they made cut marks into all this seaweed here

without the cuts you get the whole piece of seaweed all at once at the first bite

I really appreciate the genius level attention to detail that they put into these bentos

but since this is a bento that they've sold for such a long time they must have had all this time to perfect it

it just might be that the first of these bentos they sold weren't cut like they are now

~makes ya' wonder~ #YukaThoughts

all done so I've gone through the top 5 listed on their website

so the rest are ones that I totally wanted to eat and as well as limited seasonal ones as well

next is.... grilled saury bento

its even got tempura as well these saury are in season right now

the saury are grilled to a tasty finish and the skin is so flaky crisp

and its got this sweet and salty sauce

next is a limited seasonal item fried oyster bento

it came with some sauce

i'll now dip it into the tartar sauce

the coating is so crisp and the oysters are so juicy and delish

all done

next is tempura bowl

the tempura is covered in egg and its so nice to have egg mixed into it

and its also covered in a sweet soy sauce based sauce

all done

next up is chicken kara-age bento

when I was a kid it always had to be this one

kara-age are so darn yummy aren't they

this spice is also very yummy as well its fried to a nice crisp

all done last up is a special yakiniku bento

this is another one that will make you ravenous for rice

the meat looks so yummy

the meat is so fatty and its got a bit of spice from the gochujang sauce.... YUMZ

keeps me wanting more rice

last mouthful itadakimasu

gochisosamadeshita Hotto motto's bentos were so yummy

the bento's in their top 5 were filled with a many that they are known for

they all seemed so very freshly made and bento's made by a bento shop is so nice

and what made me really happy with these was that a lot of these bentos had so much of their main course with them

that really made me happy

for those want more veggies you can order a side salad as well

hottomotto's bentos are truly delish won't you all please give them a try?
