and I believe that starts with
harnessing your most powerful asset:
your ability to truly think in control in advance.
Let's get grooving.

Hey Groovers, Chris Carter here.
Welcome to Daily Groove 20.
In this episode, I'm going to help you
ride tightening corners with more control, skill, fun.
Particularly, I'm gonna help you maintain
the same speed around a tightening turn.
What does it take to do that?
You're going into a corner at a certain speed,
you wanna maintain that speed
around the corner as it tightens.
What do you need to do?
Well, let's set the scene.
You're out on the trail,
it might be a trail you've been on before
or a trail you've never been before.
The principles are still the same.
You're entering the turn and you're in control.
You're in control of your focus.
Groovers, you'll be following the Groover method:
control, sight, and exit pattern.
You're in control of your speed, your position,
your traction, your stability, your posture,
all those things.
So you enter the turn
and you want to maintain the same speed around that turn.
Halfway around, the turn tightens.
What happens if you keep the same position
and everything on the bike, but the turn tightens?
What's going to happen to you?
Well, let's give an example.
Just say you're driving in your car,
or you're on a bike, but you're on a street, nice and easy.
And you start a turn,
and halfway around that turn, it tightens all of a sudden.
If you keep the same position,
you were in control before the tightening turn,
the tightening part of the turn,
but then if you keep the same position,
you're going to be flung
to the outside of the turn, aren't you?
In the car, you're gonna be flung
to the outside of the turn in the seat.
On your bike, you're gonna be flung to the outside.
It's exactly the same thing
that's going to happen on the trail here
if you keep the same position.
Worse, you're probably going to,
because centripetal force is going to act on you,
you're probably gonna be rising,
being thrown off that bike,
maybe pressuring that outside handlebar grip,
tensing up because your brain's like,
"Whoa, hold on, we're losing control here,
"I wanna keep the same speed but I can't."
Gonna be thrown to the outside of the corner,
lose your line.
Your eyes are going to be drawn down to the here and now,
to the control that you need right here under your wheels,
you've forgotten about
looking at the exit of the corner now, haven't you?
You'll be thrown out of position as well.
All of these reactions, putting you
further and further out of control.
What do you need to do instead
to maintain the same speed as that corner tightens?
You need to drop your position.
On this curve here, on the first curve of the corner,
you're in control of everything at that speed.
But as the corner tightens,
if you wanna keep the same speed,
you've actually got to lower your position on the bike,
hinging from the hips.
If you're off the saddle, then you'll be
sliding your bum back and lowering that chest down.
If you're on the saddle,
you can still slide that bum back on the saddle
and lower that chest, so that you keep,
still keep balance, but you're lowering your position
into that point of balance
to match your stability to the demand that you now need.
If the corner tightens and you wanna keep the same speed,
you've got to get lower
by the time the corner starts tightening.
Now where do you get lower to?
As you're going around that turn,
do you lean to the inside to get lower?
No, that's leaning away from the bike
and then away from your base of support,
your tyres' line of traction.
You've got to lower yourself
further into your point of balance,
towards your base of support, your tyres' line of traction,
and that will help you maintain control.
If you lower yourself a little bit
and you're still struggling,
you didn't lower yourself enough.
You gotta lower yourself down and match that point
where you are still maintaining stability
and you can be in complete control of the bike
and not be affected by centripetal force at all.
Now if that turn tightens
and on that tightening part of the turn,
you want to accelerate as well,
then you'll have to get even lower
because you're lifting your speed,
which is essentially the same as
making the corner go even tighter.
So you've gotta get even lower still
to be able to maintain good control
over everything that you're doing
and everything you need to do next.
So there we go, I hope that helped.
As you're entering a tightening corner,
if you're already in control, don't maintain that height.
You need to lower your position
to maintain stability
to be able to keep the same speed
around the tightening part of the turn.

I'm sure many of you have heard this performance from the Bastau concert
from Dimash's solo concert which was a few months later in Kazakhstan
and the fact is that performance is better than this (imho)
First - he sang a little differently, i like more version from Bastau
and maybe actually during the program he did not feel comfortable because of illness, so next performance is better because he was healthy
although I probably would not be able to tell if I just did not know about it (that he was sick)
simply, I'd think that he sang just differently
but maybe this disease has had an effect
there is also a studio recording of this song
also recorded during this show
and in my opinion it is also better
so you can listen to a Daybreak in those other versions
I did not want to "mix" anymore, I stick to this program, that's why I chose this version
As always, it was great to see the reaction of people who once again could understand what Dimash is singing
although apparently here the Mandarin was a bit worse
but it certainly was to be understood
the song is also very well known to everyone in China
so emotions were huge at the viewers and participants
Dimash sang beautifully ♥
He just sings with passion
with great affection
I think that he does not even choose songs in which he can not communicate so much emotion
so he chooses such songs and gives these emotions to us perfectly
it's a great feeling to listen and watch Dimash

they are watching for the first time and they know nothing about the song or the lyrics

think these emotions are double then
you can experience the song and empathize with Dimash even more
