Since the moment Prince Harry announced his engagement to divorced American actress, Meghan
Markle, there's been nothing but controversy that's come from the couple – mostly has
Markle past emerges in pieces.
If she thought her secrets would be safe and she'd skate into the royal family with flying
colors, getting by on her beaming smile – she was sorely mistaken.
Markle's fiance is in line to the throne and the Queen isn't letting anyone or anything
into her family without undergoing extensive scrutiny.
This has led to the revelation if what Markle's been hiding and now an arrest.
The picture of perfection and elegance that this couple has portrayed over the last few
weeks as they flaunt their love for each other from the states to the Royal Palace, has now
been shattered as it seems like it was a front for something else.
The American actress does what she's apparently pretty good at and that's pretending to
be someone she isn't.
When it was revealed who the soon-to-be princess' father was, many people were taken aback by
his recluse lifestyle at his home in Mexico – far from London.
It seemed impossible that this man would be rubbing shoulders with the royal family and
that he would be able to maintain any level of proper etiquette expected around the Queen
or at a royal affair such as a wedding.
The fact that Harry went rogue and picked a person without a pedigree was strange but
celebrated since he was doing things his own way.
However, it's not her father or even her stepsister who is in the crosshairs of the
queen, it's her equally obscure stepbrother and his fiancee who were just caught.
It's hard to believe that Markle shares a parent with her half-brother since they
look like complete opposites and seemingly act as such too.
But what else is Markle "hiding" that's bound to come out before her royal wedding
in May?
The Daily Mail reports:
Meghan Markle's half-brother Tom Markle has blamed his drunken New Year's Eve brawl
with his fiancee on the pressure and scrutiny caused by his sister's engagement.
The flare-up in their Oregon home led to Tom's fiancee Darlene Blount being thrown into jail
for two nights for assault.
Tom has blamed the pressure of being in the public eye for his woes, saying: "It hasn't
been easy.
Meghan's relationship with Prince Harry has shone a spotlight on our family.
It doesn't help when you have issues and your sister is engaged to Royalty.
It adds a whole new level of scrutiny."
And Tom – who was last year arrested for brandishing a gun at his fiancee during another
drunken fracas – says they will both attend alcohol and relationship counseling.
"We've been under a lot of stress because of all the attention.
At some point you find yourself drinking too much to escape the pressure."
Tom vowed last night to 'seek help' after the drunken confrontation.
The Prince has his PR work cut out for him on behalf of his wife and the misfit family
she's bringing into the "perfect" picture.
He's already slammed his soon-to-be father in law and Markle's family in claiming that
she never had a family.
While they may not be perfect and far from royalty, they were very close, according to
Markle's half-sister Samantha Markle.
Samantha countered the Prince's claim with the facts of her and Meghan's upbringing
that was different than the soon-to-be princess is saying now.
It seems like Meghan is making her family life sound different than it was presumably
out of embarrassment for her rather average American upbringing – and also to separate
herself from the drama.
Considering how things went down in Oregon leading to the drunken arrest, Meghan has
some face to save if she want to impress the Queen.
Mail Online explains what happened that debaucherous and embarrassing evening:
Tom initially told The Mail on Sunday Ms. Blount had begun 'pummelling me in the face
with her fists', but last night he changed his tune and said the injuries he sustained
were self-inflicted.
As Prince Harry and Ms Markle reportedly ushered in the New Year "partying like tycoons"
in the millionaires' playground of Monaco, Tom and Darlene were downing beers and whiskey
at the decidedly less salubrious Cedarwood Saloon in their hometown of Grant's Pass.
Tom, 51, who has the same father as Meghan, said he and Darlene, 37, rowed at the bar
before she stormed off.
He returned to their bungalow and continued drinking, becoming increasingly enraged.
When Darlene finally came home she immediately began downing a bottle of bourbon.
"I said some swear words, it turned into an argument," Tom confessed.
Darlene called the police – but ended up being arrested herself.
"I might have said that Darlene beat me up," Tom said.
"She was arrested for domestic violence.
It was a big confusion."
This kind of drama surely won't sit well with the Queen who is accustomed to keeping
appearances buttoned up and proper.
We're all for a regular girl with a complicated family, making something amazing of her life,
but she shouldn't forget where she comes from.
What's truly in "poor taste" is to disregard and ditch your family you had an entire life
with because you found a better one.
As for Harry, falling in love with the girl means accepting everything about her, including
her upbringing, which is the classiest thing someone can do for their soon-to-be spouse
and her family.
You don't just marry her, you join families and at a minimum should at least show some
respect to the man who brought the love of your life into this world.
This goes for Meghan as well who seemed to be quick to ditch the commoners for Hollywood
royalty and then real royalty.

BREAKING NEWS From SEATTLE!! THIS IS HUGE!!! - Duration: 5:50.
Long a stranger to liberty and freedom by any definition, the Seattle city council passed
a $1.75 cents per ounce tax on major distributors of beverages such as Pepsi and Coke, and other
sodas, as well as energy drinks, sports drinks, juice, and any other non-milk based products.
Non-milk based drinks include many of those sold at Seattle coffee giant and major employer
Starbucks and many other coffee shops in the area.
Diet drinks and those from small distributors are exempt from the tax.
The Seattle City Council passed a controversial tax by a vote of 7-1.
Distributors are required to pay the tax.
However, the added cost has been directly passed on to consumers in most cases.
According to the progressive city leaders of Seattle, the additional cost is to discourage
people from buying drinks deemed by the powers that be to be too "sugary" rather than
allowing the good people of the city of Seattle to make those decisions for themselves.
Councilmember Tim Burgess, who helped push the legislation through the council, said
it is a much-needed step towards encouraging healthy eating and ending childhood obesity.
They claim the some $15 million Seattle expects to raise by the tax will go towards programs
designed to educate young people.
Now a Seattle Costco has garnered much attention in hilarious fashion as they show just how
much soda and other sugary drinks now cost Seattle residents.
The new signage was captured and posted on social media where signs above each taxed
sugary drink remind shoppers you can leave the city and buy the product without paying
the tax.
In the first case, the price of a case of Dr. Pepper (36 cans) nearly doubled.
According to the picture, Costco sells the soda for $9.99.
But with the new sugary drink tax added of $7.56, the soda now costs customers a whopping
$17.55.
In the second case, Costco sells a case of Gatorade for $15.99.
But the tax adds an additional $10.34 to the price, which brings the total cost to whopping
$26.33.

Jason Mercier from Washington Policy Center, which opposed the tax, shot a photo from inside
a Seattle Costco that showed the price for a Gatorade 35-bottle variety pack was $15.99.
That is until you add the new tax, which bumps it up by $10.34 for a total of $26.33.
Costco also posted an explainer of the new tax, saying it adds 1.75-cents per ounce on
"sugar-sweetened beverages with added 'caloric sweeteners' or syrups.
Then the store posted a reminder that shoppers can go to their Tukwila and Shoreline Costcos
to avoid the tax.
Despite the steep new prices brought to the residents of Seattle courtesy of the nanny
state policies of the city council, Costco was there to remind customers who live within
the Seattle city limits that the tax does not apply to its nearby locations outside
of the city limits.
Some other cities that have gone over to the dark side and done this included many of America's
most progressive cities and municipalities, including –
Philadelphia San Fransisco and Oakland
Santa Fe, New Mexico Portland, Oregon
Albany, New York Boulder, Colorado
Cook County, Illinois, where the city of Chicago is located
Berkely, California was the first American city to implement the sugary drink tax, otherwise
known as the "soda tax" back in 2015.
Maryland and Virginia also levy a statewide soda tax.
Reaction from the people of Seattle has been mixed with some stating they would be following
Costco's suggestion and going outside the city limits to buy their soda.
Yet others state they may simply give up soda altogether.
Some others are compromising and just opting for the diet soda.
Supporters of the tax said that's the point – not necessarily to switch to diet soda
but getting consumers to go for healthier options.
Jim Krieger serves on the committee for Seattle Healthy Kids Coalition and is also the executive
director of Health Food America.
He states of the tax –
"I'm just very excited.
The hope is consumption of the unhealthy product — which causes heart disease, diabetes — will
go down, the sugary drinks to go down, and we fully expect that to be the case."
Someone should probably clue Krieger into the actual facts that a simple search on the
internet shows the abject failure of these so-called "soda taxes" nationwide.
Santa Fe was the first to quash the "soda tax" after serious backlash.
Chicago repealed their "soda tax" after only two months after being plagued by legal
challenges, implementation glitches and a screeching, multimillion-dollar media battle
between the soda industry and public health groups.
Philadelphia's "soda tax" suffered a similar fate after reports from the nonpartisan
Tax Foundation found Philadelphia overestimated how much revenue a soda tax would generate
and underestimated how much the tax would distort the beverage market.
We all want healthier communities, but the evidence clearly shows that beverage taxes
have not delivered on the promise of improved public health.
Instead, these taxes target working families struggling to make ends meet and small businesses
that provide jobs for people living paycheck to paycheck.
The facts are clear: Beverages with sugar are not driving the nation's obesity crisis
and data from the federal government prove this.

For over a year the left has been busy beating insanely on the fake Russian collusion drum
to explain away how Donald Trump beat "queen" Hillary Clinton in the presidential election.
It seems that the left just cannot wrap their heads around the fact that she lost because
she was an unlikable person and a terrible candidate.
That is not even touching on the dozens of crimes that the Clinton clan has been implicated
in and that continue to swirl around them.
At any rate, since the left cannot swallow the simple truth that Trump beat Clinton the
liberal pundits and politicians concocted the Russian collusion story to explain it
all away.
However, that has not worked the way they planned, and every time these petulant libs
think they "caught" Trump red-handed it blows up in their arrogant faces.
The one person leading this ridiculous witch hunt against Trump and his family is Special
Counsel Robert Mueller, and after failing multiple times with others, he has his sight
now set on Ivanka Trump.
The entire Russian story has been falling apart like a cheap suit, but that has not
stopped the left from continuing to hound the Trump family.
With the new revelations coming to light on how that the FBI and Justice Department have
worked tirelessly to undermine Trump under the directive of the former Obama administration
this entire investigation has become a sham.
Now, the Mueller and his team are turning their attention to Ivanka Trump in their last
ditch effort to prove Trump conspired with the Russians, and of course, the left could
not be more pleased.
Mueller is investigating the one time that Ivanka was seen with Russian lawyer, Natalia
Veselnitskaya, and a lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin in an elevator where the three exchanged brief
pleasantries.
Of course, to the left that proves that Ivanka was underhanded in those few minutes of small
talk and she somehow exchanged secrets to the Russians in an elevator.

Special counsel Robert S. Mueller III has recalled for questioning at least one participant
in a controversial meeting with a Kremlin-connected Russian lawyer at Trump Tower in June 2016
and is looking into President Trump's misleading claim that the discussion focused on adoption,
rather than an offer to provide damaging information about Hillary Clinton.
Some defense lawyers involved in the case view Mueller's latest push as a sign that
investigators are focusing on possible obstruction of justice by Trump and several of his closest
advisors for their statements about the politically sensitive meeting, rather than for collusion
with the Russians.
Investigators also are exploring the involvement of the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump,
who did not attend the half-hour sit-down on June 9, 2016, but briefly spoke with two
of the participants, a Russian lawyer, and a Russian-born Washington lobbyist.
Details of the encounter were not previously known.
It occurred at the Trump Tower elevator as the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya,
and the lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin, were leaving the building and consisted of pleasantries,
a person familiar with the episode said.
But Mueller's investigators want to know every contact the two visitors had with Trump's
family members and inner circle.
Mueller long has sought to nail down details of the unusual gathering at the height of
the presidential race between three of Trump's top campaign aides — his eldest son, Donald
Trump Jr., his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, and his campaign manager, Paul Manafort — and
Veselnitskaya, Akhmetshin, plus a Russian language translator, a U.S.-based employee
of a Russian real estate group, and a British music promoter with Russian business ties
who helped bring the group together.
And, like previously stated the left is cheering with glee over this madness.
Mueller is going down the line looking for anything to make this absurd Russian collusion
story stick, and if we aren't careful, you can be sure that Mueller and his crackerjack
team will start questioning Barron Trump for watching Boris and Natasha cartoons.
Mueller and his merry band of minions have nothing on Trump or his family, and it way
past the time that he is fired before he can do any more harm to the country.

The left's hate for President Trump is no secret to anyone in America.
For months liberals have lamented, protested, and schemed to have Trump removed from office
by any means necessary.
These threats have come from celebrities, politicians, and violent groups like Antifa
and Black Lives Matter as they continue to scream that Trump must be stopped.
Instead of these hateful individuals facing stiff punishment for inciting violence against
the sitting president, the mainstream media, and liberal politicians have remained virtually
silent.
Now, these violent threats have reached a fever pitch as more deranged liberals call
for President Trump's death on a daily basis.
So, it is no surprise that someone just offered thousands of dollars to assassinate Trump
on social media which has secret service on high alert.
What has made America the greatest country on earth has not only been our military prowess
but our freedoms that we were founded on.
One of the central tenets of our country has been the right of free speech and to speak
out against our government and protest when citizens feel slighted.
However, that free speech has taken a dangerous turn when thousands of Americans are abusing
that right with calls for violence and even murder towards President Trump.
Just over this weekend, Andrea Hudson offered $20,000 for anyone who was willing to murder
President Trump on Twitter.
Of course, when conservatives saw the message they quickly reported the offensive tweet,
and the account was suspended, but that will not stop this sort of sentiment to continue
considering that top Democrats have been calling for the death of Trump and conservatives for
months.
After Trump was elected, the hateful rhetoric against him only intensified with top Democrats
joining in on the chaos.
Former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch released a disturbing video with violent calls
to action to exact on a change in the country even if that meant bloodshed.
"We have always had to work to move this country forward to achieve the great ideals
of our Founding Fathers.
They've marched, they've bled, yes some of them have died.
This is hard.
Every good thing is.
We have done this before; we can do this again."
Then former Vice Presidential candidate Tim Kaine echoed that chilling sentiment as well
during an interview on MSNBC.
Mika Brzezinski, co-host of the television show, Morning Joe asked Kaine this following
question, and his answer was quite telling.
So, broad question about the future of the Democratic Party, especially given your firsthand
experience with what we've all been through.
There's so much going on here that we clearly see, you know, places where you — we can
criticize what the administration is doing, but how does the party rebuild?
How do you prevent overreach in a situation like this?
How do you prevent a continuation of the bubble in a situation like this, and how does the
party reclaim its reach across the country while fighting these battles?
And, here is Tim Kaine's response.
…So, the way we get outside the bubble is we take advantage of this tremendous public
outcry against the administration.
What we've got to do is fight in Congress, fight in the courts, fight in the streets,
fight online, fight at the ballot box, and now there's the momentum to be able to do
this.
And we're not afraid of the popular outcry, we're energized by it, and that's going
to help us do our job and do it better.
So, with the apparent blessing of top Democrats calling for violence against the Trump administration
is it any surprise that hateful liberals would continue spouting their dirty fantasies online?
Not at all.
This hatred for President Trump and his policies has been carefully cultivated by the mainstream
media and liberal politicians as they peddle tales of bigotry and racism to the masses.
The dangerous rhetoric that these liberals have spouted for over a year has created an
atmosphere of paranoia, and it is not getting better any time soon.
These hateful individuals are so consumed with malice that they cannot see that they
are the ones who are the sole contributors to the divisive climate in our country.
It is now the time that those that promote any violence against the president is arrested
and thrown in jail.
The only way this sort of behavior will stop is when there are harsh consequences to their
actions.
It is one thing to speak out against policies you may not agree with, but it is quite another
to advocate for the death of a president, and that goes for both sides.

I'm Wanda Sykes and today I'm going to be reading The Case of the Missing Carrot Cake
written by Robin Newman and illustrated by Deborah Zemke.
Boys and girls, this case is about thieves on Ed's farm.
The names have been changed to protect the good guys.
Over 100 animals live on this farm.
Most work. Some horse around. Others steal.
That's where I come in.
My name is Detective Wilcox.
And I'm a policemouse.
The boss is Captain Griswold.
We're MFIs, Missing Food Investigators.
It's our job to investigate cases of missing food.
Whatever the food, whatever the crime, we make the bad guys do the time.
It was 10:00 Monday morning.
The captain and I were working the day shift when we got our first call.
Chapter 1: Case File #1113
The Missing Carrot Cake
10:00 am, Headquarters
"Wilcox, here. Headquarters."
"Hello, this is Miss Rabbit."
"How can I help you?" I asked.
"My cake is gone!"
"What cake?" I asked.
"The cake I baked for my party tomorrow!"
"Stay calm, ma'am. We'll be right there," I said.
"Captain, we've got a Code 12 — a missing cake!"
We grabbed some cheese donuts for the road and rushed to our squad car.
We headed north across the farm, past the pigpen and chicken coop,
straight to Miss Rabbit's hole.
Traffic was light — only a couple of chickens crossing the road.
Chapter 2: The Crime Scene
10:15 am, Home of Miss Rabbit
We parked in front of Miss Rabbit's hole.
We didn't see anyone, but we could hear a voice.
"Down here," called Miss Rabbit.
We slid down the rabbit hole and landed in the kitchen.
Cake crumbs, carrots, and frosting were EVERYWHERE
— on the table, on the floor, and all over Miss Rabbit.
"Detective Wilcox, ma'am, and Captain Griswold, MFIs," I said, flashing my badge.
"Can you tell us what happened?"
I pulled out my pen and notepad.
Note-taking is essential for any MFI.
"I baked a cake for my party tomorrow," said Miss Rabbit.
"And now it's gone!"
"What kind of cake?" I asked.
"A carrot cake with cream cheese frosting."
Hmm... I wondered which animals liked carrot cake.
"Where was the cake?" I asked.
"Right here, on the kitchen table.
I left it to cool and when I came back, there was a big mess and no cake!"
Miss Rabbit sobbed.
The captain handed her a hankie.
"Thank you," sniffled Miss Rabbit.
"When did all this happen?" I asked.
"Probably between 8:00 and 10:00 this morning."
"Any guess who might have done this?" I probed.
I noticed Miss Rabbit was wiping frosting off of her pajamas, whiskers, and nose.
She clearly hadn't had time for her morning bath.
"No!" wailed Miss Rabbit.
"I don't have a crumb of an idea!"
The captain pointed to the window in the distance.
Fowler the Owl was reading the newspaper in her maple tree.
Everyone on the farm knew that Fowler liked rabbits.
She liked them for breakfast.
She liked them for lunch.
She loved them for dinner.
"Does Fowler come around here?" I asked.
"No, she won't mess with me.
I have a black belt in karate!" said Miss Rabbit with a quick chop of her hind legs.
"And ma'am, whom did you invite to the party?"
"Porcini and Hot Dog.
You don't think either of them is the thief, do you?"
"Too soon to tell."
I snapped shut the cover of my notepad.
The captain checked the door.
I checked the windows.
There was no sign of a break-in.
Could it be an inside job?
"Does anyone have a key to your rabbit hole?" I asked.
Miss Rabbit shook her head, sending crumbs and frosting flying.
"One last question. Where were you when the cake was taken?"
"I was taking a quick catnap."
Hmm... a catnap.
Such an odd thing for a bunny to do.
I taped off the crime scene.
The captain dusted for prints and took photos.
This case was going to be a hard nut to crack.
A hard nut indeed.
Chapter 3: Suspects and Clues
11:00 am, Fowler's Maple Tree
Suspect #1
"Hoo-hoo," said Fowler, peeking her head out of her hole.
"What brings you two tasty treats to my tree?"
"Investigating a case," I said, holding up my badge.
"Detective Wilcox and Captain Griswold, MFIs.
Where were you between 8:00 and 10:00 this morning?"
"I was chasing a field mouse."
"Do you have any witnesses?"
If someone had seen her, she'd have an alibi.
"There was one, but I ate him."
The captain shot her his "don't-mess-with-this-mouse" look.
I shot her mine.
"You know it's 30 years behind bars if you eat an officer on this farm," I warned.
"You don't want to be a jailbird now, do you?"
"Of course not!
Besides, I like my meals tender.
Everyone knows MFIs are too hardboiled to make good eats."
I chose to ignore that last comment.
The captain glared at her with his "I'll-show-you-who's-hardboiled" look.
"Your tree faces Miss Rabbit's hole.
Have you seen anyone come or go from Miss Rabbit's in the last four hours?"
"Just Miss Rabbit and the two of you.
What's this all about anyway?" asked Fowler.
"A cake," I said.
"A rabbit cake?" asked Fowler.
"I love rabbit cake, especially with mouse frosting."
I scowled. "No, a carrot cake."
"I don't know anything about a missing carrot cake."
Fowler fluffed up her feathers, all innocent-like.
"I didn't say it was missing."
"You wouldn't be here if it were found," said Fowler.
"Tell us what you know."
I pulled out my trusty notepad again.
"Or if you prefer, we can finish this talk down at the station."
Fowler frowned, but she gave me the scoop.
"Miss Rabbit baked a cake all right.
A carrot cake, like you said.
I could smell that awful thing all the way up here.
And then she took a walk in her pajamas."
"In her pajamas?" I asked.
"That's odd. Where did she go?"
"Toward Porcini's.
Look, I'm not a tattletelling parrot, but if you ask me,
that sneaky porker, Porcini, is your thief.
He could sniff out a breadcrumb on the moon.
And he'll eat anything, too. Even vegetables!"
"Thanks for the tip." I pocketed my notepad.
"And don't fly out of town any time soon."
The captain and I rushed to the squad car.
Next stop, Porcini's.
Frankly, this case was moving slower than molasses.
Slower than molasses indeed.
11:45 am, Porcini's Pigpen
Suspect #2
"Hey, Porcini!" I yelled, as we arrived at the pen.
"Detective Wilcox and Captain Griswold here. MFIs, on a case."
The captain waved his badge in front of Porcini's snout.
"What were you doing between 8:00 and 10:00 this morning?" I asked.
"I was resting up between meals, like I always do, when Miss Rabbit stopped by."
Porcini snuffled around the squad car.
He must have smelled the cheese donuts!
The captain pushed the pig away and flashed him one of his toughest glares.
"When was this exactly?" I asked.
"I'm not sure, maybe around 9:00."
Porcini waddled back to his sty, slurping up banana peels on his way.
"And what did she want?"
"Strangely enough, she didn't say.
But she sure was acting like a funny bunny."
"Funny ha ha or funny odd?" I asked.
"She didn't say a word — not even a peep
when I asked if she wanted a nice hot cup of slop!
And she was still wearing her pajamas.
So I walked her back home, like the polite pig I am."
"And is that when you took the cake?" I asked.
Porcini's cheeks turned the color of a red hot chili pepper.
"I may take the cake as the best corn thief in town,
but sirs, I am not a common cake thief!
Oink!"
The captain handed me Porcini's rap sheet.
That's a record of arrests for all you non-cops.
It was a mile long for corn robberies, but he had no cake priors.
"Seems like you've spent some time in the pen," I said,
hoping his reaction would give me a clue.
"Why peck at the past?
I did my time and now I'm clean.
I bet Hot Dog ate the cake.
That slobbering hound has a sweet tooth."
"That sounds like the pot calling the kettle black.
Mind if we have a look around?"
"Go right ahead! I have nothing to hide."
The captain and I waded through Porcini's muddy pen.
"What a pigsty!" I said. "We'll never find anything here."
The captain twitched his whiskers and nodded.
"Let's hope Hot Dog has some answers," I said.
"And that his place isn't as stinky!"
Truth to tell, this case was inching along slower than ketchup out of a bottle.
Much slower indeed.
12:00 pm, Dirt Road Leading to Hot Dog's House
"Captain, stop the car!" I shouted.
"There's something up ahead. It's orange."
The captain grabbed his magnifying glass and tweezers.
He picked up the object.
"A carrot!" I said.
I ran back to the squad car to get the crime scene photos.
"This carrot matches the ones we found in Miss Rabbit's kitchen.
We're onto something."
The captain twitched his tail furiously. He pointed.
"Another carrot." I picked it up.
And right by the front door, the captain found two more.
"Looks like Hot Dog's got himself in a bit of a pickle," I said.
"A pickle indeed."
12:05 pm, Dog House
Suspect #3
Knock. Knock.
The captain rapped on the door.
"Open up! MFIs!" I called out.
The door opened slowly. I shouldered my way in.
"Detective Wilcox and Captain Griswold here!" I announced.
"Is that carrot cake I smell?"
"I don't smell anything," said Hot Dog.
For a dog, that was a pretty incredible claim.
He was surprisingly cool as a cucumber.
The captain tapped me on the shoulder.
He pointed to the flour, eggs, milk, vanilla, carrots, and dog biscuits on the kitchen table.
"What's all that?" I asked.
"Breakfast."
"Looks like cake ingredients to me," I said.
"If you don't spill the beans now, we're going to finish this talk down at the station."
The captain flashed his "you're-in-hot-water-now" look.
"All right, I admit it!
I baked a cake, but I didn't take the cake!" Hot Dog insisted.
"What do you mean? Give us the facts and just the facts."
I pulled out my notepad.
"I did go over to Miss Rabbit's,
but only to see if she needed help setting up for her party."
"What happened?" I grilled him.
"I knocked on the door.
Nobody answered. So I peeked in the window.
And that's when I saw cake crumbs, carrots, and frosting EVERYWHERE
— on the table, on the floor, and all over Miss Rabbit's bathrobe,
which was right in the middle of the mess!"
Now that I thought about it, I'd expect an apron, not a bathrobe.
"And then what happened?"
I started taking notes.
"I heard someone coming. I panicked and ran home."
The captain made his "that's-the-fishiest-story-I-ever-heard" face.
"Woof 's honor!" Hot Dog protested.
"I felt so bad that Miss Rabbit's cake was gone, I decided to bake her another one."
"Captain, dollars to donuts, he's telling the truth.
Look at these prints from the crime scene.
The thief has small, narrow feet.
Hot Dog's paws are big and wide.
He couldn't be the thief."
With no more suspects, this investigation was scraping the bottom of the apple barrel.
Think. Think. Think.
The captain and I started to pace.
One, two, three steps forward.
One, two, three steps back.
I grabbed a donut from my pocket.
Cheese donuts always helped me think.
And sure enough, that's when it hit me.
"Holy cannoli, Captain! I've got a plan.
Hot Dog, we'll need your cake.
With some luck, maybe we'll catch our thief red-handed.
Or frosting-handed as the case may be!"
Chapter 4: Video Surveillance and Stakeout
12:30 pm, Fowler's Maple Tree
We set up two video surveillance cameras.
One on top of Fowler's tree, facing Miss Rabbit's front door,
and another inside Miss Rabbit's kitchen, facing Hot Dog's cake.
Then we waited.
And waited. And waited.
The smell of carrot cake drifted across the farm,
past Fowler's maple tree, Porcini's pen, and Hot Dog's house.
"Pee-ew!" Fowler hooted.
"Fowler is clearly not our thief," I whispered to the captain.
Just then Porcini and Hot Dog showed up like two peas in a pod.
"Any luck with the investigation?" asked Hot Dog.
"Would they be sitting here if they had the thief?"
shouted Fowler from the tree above.
"Whoever the thief is, he's very good," Porcini observed.
"Or she!" cried Fowler.
The captain looked at his watch.
Tick. Tock. Tick. Tock.
Two hours had gone by. Nothing.
Three hours, four hours, five hours.
Still nothing.
The clock kept ticking.
Day turned to night and night to day.
Porcini, Hot Dog, the captain, and I were packed in like sardines
as we fell asleep at the base of Fowler's tree.
Everybody snored.
Everybody's stomach rumbled.
Nothing else happened.
I was beginning to think maybe our goose was cooked.
Cooked well done indeed.
Chapter 5: The Morning Starts with a Scream
9:00 am, Home of Miss Rabbit
"Help!" cried Miss Rabbit.
"The cake is gone!"
"Holy guacamole! Miss Rabbit's in trouble!" I shouted.
We all rushed over and slid down the rabbit hole.
Cake crumbs, carrots, and frosting were EVERYWHERE
— on the floor, on the table, and all over Miss Rabbit.
"Are you all right?" I asked.
"Yes," sniffled Miss Rabbit.
"Did you see the thief?" I asked.
She shook her head, flinging out crumbs.
Porcini hurried over to lick them up.
The captain pointed to the video camera.
"Good thing we have the two videotapes!" I said.
Fowler brought down the tape from her tree and we watched it first.
It showed Porcini, Hot Dog, the captain, and me all rushing into the house.
"Where's the thief?" asked Miss Rabbit,
wiping cream cheese off of her pajamas, whiskers, and nose.
"Maybe there's a problem with this camera," I said.
"Let's look at the second video.
Miss Rabbit, you may want to sit down."
The room was silent.
"There's nothing on this tape," cried Miss Rabbit.
"Patience. It's still rolling," I said,
when the tape picked up the presence of a shadow.
"I can't watch!" screamed Porcini.
"Me, neither!" cried Hot Dog.
"Who?!" hooted Fowler.
"Quiet!" I shouted.
The captain shot everyone his "or else!" look.
And then the blurry image of a figure appeared.
"Is it over?" screamed Porcini.
"I'm scared!" cried Hot Dog.
"Who?!" hooted Fowler.
"Shush!" I shouted.
The captain glared his "be quiet!" look.
The figure slowly came into focus.
The pajamas.
The whiskers.
The nose.
And the ears.
"Miss Rabbit!" cried everyone.
"No!" Miss Rabbit wailed.
"That can't be right. I was asleep."
"You were sleepwalking," I explained.
"And great corn dogs! Sleep eating, too!" squealed Porcini.
"Why didn't I think of that, eating all day AND all night?
What could be better?"
"I'm sorry for all the trouble I caused."
Miss Rabbit was beet red from embarrassment.
"No problem," I assured her.
"That's what we're here for."
"And I guess I'll have to cancel my party. Since there's no cake."
"Actually, there is a cake," said Hot Dog.
"I never bake just one."
Chapter 6: The Long-Awaited Party
4:00 pm, Home of Miss Rabbit
"Having all my friends gathered together is the icing on the cake!" said Miss Rabbit.
"Detectives, many thanks for your hard work."
"Our pleasure! This case was a piece of cake after all!"
I put away my notepad.
The captain smiled his "easy-as-pie" face.
"Hot Dog, thank you for your beautiful cake!" Miss Rabbit gushed.
"Any time!" said Hot Dog, giving Miss Rabbit a hug.
"Now let's eat! I'm hungry as a wolf!"
"Two wolves!" agreed Porcini.
Miss Rabbit nibbled a piece.
"My, this cake is crunchy!"
"Crunchy indeed!" I said.
"Crunchier and tastier than it smells," hooted Fowler.
The captain chomped so loudly, he was speechless.
Porcini finished one slice and started on another.
"Is carrot cake always so crunchy?" I asked.
"It's my secret ingredient.
Dog biscuits.
Do you like it?" asked Hot Dog.
Everyone stopped eating except Porcini and Hot Dog.
They finished every last crumb.
"DEEEE-LICIOUS!" pronounced Porcini.
"Now that's how you make a cake disappear!"
Hot Dog smiled.
5:00 pm, Case Closed.
Boys and girls, the case you've just read was about thieves on Ed's farm.
Every day food goes missing from the farm.
Sometimes it's lost.
Sometimes it's stolen.
Sometimes it just runs away.
With all these animals, you can be sure of one thing:
trouble is sure to hatch.
These are the cases for MFIs.
Whatever the food, whatever the crime, MFIs make the bad guys do the time.

I chose this book because I love crime stories, and these detectives, they did not give up.
And also, the animals, they all worked together to solve the problem.

Ridley Scott Already Has Plans for Another 'Blade Runner' Sequel - Duration: 1:27.
For Complex News, I'm Hanuman Welch.
If any Blade Runner fans are still gunning for another entry in the franchise, original
director Ridley Scott revealed that he's ready to return behind the camera to helm its sequel.
When asked whether there was scope for a new film in the franchise, this is what he said
to Digital Spy:
"I hope so...I think there is another story.
I've got another one ready to evolve and be developed, so there is certainly one to
be done for sure."
This is especially interesting in light of the fact that, one, Blade Runner 2049 did
not crush any records at the box office and the film's other creators have previously
talked about how the 2049's plot wasn't crafted with any sort of sequel hooks in mind.
Scott took a back seat to executive produce the film while Denis Villeneuve managed the
director's chair.
Blade Runner 2049 only grossed $258.7 million worldwide against an estimated budget between
$150–185 million, which isn't the major box office break the studios were hoping for.
Some critics attributed it to the movie's length which was 2 hours and 44 minutes.
Scott himself even criticized the movie, agreeing that it was too long.
"I have to be careful what I say.
It was fucking way too long.
Fuck me!
And most of that script's mine.
When you get a guy who's done a low-budget movie and you suddenly give him $180 million,
it makes no sense whatsoever."
To be fair, the original Blade Runner was also a lackluster commercial success before
going on to become a cult favorite.

BREAKING: Investigation Launched Into Ivanka For Unbelievable Reason - Duration: 3:39.
Get out the pitchforks and light the torches. It is time to follow Robert Mueller down another
rabbit hole of insanity in his ceaseless Russian Collusion witch hunt. Will somebody fire this
guy, please?
This time, it is Ivanka Trump. If you can't drum up dirt on the President, who better
to go after than his family.
In passing one another on the elevator of the Trump Tower, standard niceties were exchanged
between Ms. Trump and a pair of Russians. The type that often consists of a smile and
a hello, and maybe a good morning/afternoon/evening. The exchange occurred with a Russian lawyer,
Veselnitskaya, and Washington-born Russian, Rinat Akhmetshin, who works as a lobbyist.
The two Russians were participants in the so-called collusion, in this case, a meeting
that lasted roughly 30 minutes. Apparently, in just half an hour, a group of folks who
don't speak the same language can get together and upset the apple cart of the American voting
system to ensure Hillary "Reset Button with Russia" Clinton does not win. If that is
the case, then there is way more to be concerned about than "collusion." Trump refers to
this new line of questioning by Mueller as a "total hoax" and he couldn't be more
right, but "witch hunt" has a better ring to it, so we'll go with that.
Naturally, the left is having a premature party about the Mueller-Ivanka line of questioning
and are proverbially burning the young Ms. Trump at the stake on a liberal media bonfire.
For what it is worth, she has to be regretting ever associating herself with the party that
is now turning on her. The left is encouraging that Mueller goes after her to "watch him
crumble", and they insist that "one doesn't exchange pleasantries with strangers." Well,
I don't know about that @aliasvaughn, but yeah I do tend to put forward a salutation
and smile when I encounter new people. Guess you're just a b…nevermind.
Next, you all just watch, because Mueller will be going after the youngest of the Trump
family because you know little kids, they don't smile and talk to strangers (ever!).
Hold your head high Ivanka, and like the rest of Mueller's joke of an investigation, this
idiot-line of questioning will all be over soon!
-This whole thing has been a witch hunt from the beginning..now that they've been unable
to find dirt on Trump, they're going after Ivanka.
The Los Angeles Times broke the news this morning:
Investigators also are exploring the involvement of the president's daughter, Ivanka Trump,
who did not attend the half-hour sit-down on June 9, 2016, but briefly spoke with two
of the participants, a Russian lawyer and a Russian-born Washington lobbyist. Details
of the encounter were not previously known.
It occurred at the Trump Tower elevator as the Russian lawyer, Natalia Veselnitskaya,
and the lobbyist, Rinat Akhmetshin, were leaving the building and consisted of pleasantries,

What is a course? Moodle 3.4 - Duration: 2:41.
What is a course? A course in Moodle is basically a space on the Moodle site
where one or more teachers can add learning resources and activities for
their students. What your course might look like as a
teacher will depend partly on the chosen theme and settings of your administrator.
In the latest version of Moodle with the latest Boost theme you can expect to see
a collapsible navigation drawer on the left and a gear menu on the right.
The main content area here is where the actual teaching and learning resources
will be added. The course Sam requested has no sections yet where she can add
content so she first needs to click the gear menu and click turn editing on and
then click Add topics. Let's choose four topics.
In Sam's practice course they are numbered topics which can be renamed but
if we look at a different course on a different Moodle site you can see that
these are divided into weekly sections and there are some blocks on the right.
In another video we will look at the use of these blocks. In order to add learning
resources you need to have the editing turned on and with the Boost theme you
do this by clicking the gear top right and then clicking the link Turn editing
on. This then displays an edit menu next to each activity and resource for
editing the settings, hiding, duplicating deleting, etc. There is an announcement
forum here and if I wish to move it into a different section I click the
crosshairs icon and I can move it by dragging and dropping. If you aren't able
to move by dragging and dropping then ask your administrator to check your
browser settings and the Moodle site settings. In order to add files documents
or activities for your students you need to click the link Add an activity or
resource in the section where you'd like them to appear. It doesn't matter if you
choose the wrong section by mistake because it's always possible to move
them afterwards. When you click add an activity or resource
this displays moodle's activity chooser which then allows you to choose what you
would like to add, and we'll look at this in a separate video.
If you don't see the link Add an activity or resource ask your Moodle
admin again to check your settings. In the next video we look at how you can
change the name and layout of your Moodle course.

Where is the gradebook?
Each course in Moodle has its own grade book which you can access by going to
the Grades link in the navigation drawer.
By default students see this link as well and this is where they can access
their course grades.
Here is an example gradebook in a different course.
Depending on your administrator's settings you might see the various elements of
the gradebook as tabs across the screen or as a drop-down menu or both.
The first screen is the grader report where you
can see the students you have and graded activities.
Note that if you have a lot of students and graded activities then
as you scroll across you can still see the students' names and as you scroll up
and down you can still see the titles of the graded activities.
Grade history will allow you to see the different grades and when they were
modified and by whom.
The Single view tab or the pencil icon by the student's name takes you to the
Single view which allows you to focus on one particular student or one particular
grade item.
The User report or the icon here next to the student's name takes you
to the individual grades of one student and
this is what a student sees when they click the Grades link in the nav drawer.
In Setup you can add new grade items or edit existing ones and decide on your
Preferences and the Course grade settings and in Scales you can add a new
scale.
Custom scales are what the teacher has added to the course and standard
scales are what an administrator has added for everyone, so you the teacher
can add a new course scale or custom scale by clicking the Add a new scale
button and giving it a name and then adding the items with the lowest first -
then it's available to use in your course for instance in assignments.
You can also import grades that you have
offline as easily as pasting from a spreadsheet, and you can export them as
different formats if you want to print them off, for instance.
The gradebook is very powerful in Moodle and we've only been able to see a
few of its features, but hopefully this has given you an idea of what it can do
for you as a teacher in your course.

or the USDA has been released showing the number of people enrolled in food stamps has
dropped by some 2 million people since President Donald Trump took office.
President Trump has also previously mentioned his intentions to make it a priority to keep
SNAP program costs down for taxpayers at both the state and federal levels.
This may drive enrollment down even further in 2018.
The USDA revealed data that shows the number of people enrolled in what is known as the
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP program plunged to 42,182,443 in fiscal
year (FY) 2017 —a drop of 2,036,920 from the 44,219,363 enrolled in FY 2016.
SNAP is the government program that administers food stamps.
Participation in the program has reached the lowest levels achieved since 2010.
There were 40,302,000 people enrolled in the program during the 2010 FY.
Food stamp enrollment has been seeing a steady decline after 2013 when participation peaked
at a whopping 47.6 million under the Obama administration.
This holds the record as the highest amount the program has ever had enrolled since the
creation of the food stamp program in 1964 under President Lyndon B. Johnson.
Taxpayers were forced to foot the bill to the tune of $79.8 million for SNAP when enrollment
surged in 2013.
The average individual SNAP participant receives $125.00 monthly, costing taxpayers $58 billion
in 2017.
Historical data show that while the program has expanded greatly over time, participation
has declined as of late.
The recent decline represents a historical break from the constant participation increases
that characterized the program since the USDA began tracking the numbers in 1969 – average
participation that year was 2,878,000, meaning participation has increased 14 fold since.
When the USDA began recording how much taxpayers spent on the food stamp program in 1969, taxpayers
spent $250 million to subsidize the 2.8 million receiving benefits.
In 2013, enrollment in SNAP began to decline as many states passed laws seeking to eliminate
fraud and waste by requiring recipients to work, volunteer, be enrolled in a school or
vocational program, or take part in some level of job training for a set number of hours
per week in order to receive food stamp benefits.
The steady improvement of the US economy also contributed to a significant decline in overall
food stamp usage.
Here is the breakdown of how many people dropped off the food stamp rolls each month of 2017:
January to February – 408,956 February to March – 95,152
March to April – 521,295 April to May- 176,527
May to June – 178,648 June to July – 236,417
Trump's 2018 budget proposed cuts to SNAP and suggested that states match up to 20 percent
of federal money allotted for the food stamp program with the USDA also announcing plans
to give states more autonomy over how SNAP is administered as a cost-cutting measure
for the welfare program costing American taxpayers multiple billions of dollars.
Policies are also being presented at the state level for limiting the number of family members
that can make purchases using a SNAP card, along with time limits on how long food stamp
recipients can receive benefits, and mandatory drug testing for recipients of the program.
There is also talk of implementing these policies on a national level as well.
Brandon Lipp is the acting undersecretary for food, nutrition, and consumer services
and he states of the decline in SNAP participation –
"The goal of the SNAP program is to support families in need as they strive to attain
self-sufficiency.
SNAP was established as a temporary supplemental nutrition benefit guiding people to self-sufficiency
and self-reliance, not a permanent way of life.
The Congressional Budget Office estimates that SNAP participation will drop by about
1.3 million people each year over the next 10 years as the economy continues to strengthen.
"Working together with our state partners, USDA is committed to finding innovative, cost-effective
ways to help SNAP recipients find and keep gainful employment in order to build a stronger
future for their families.
We must ensure that we serve SNAP participants well."
The Washington Free Beacon reported on additional measures taken under the Trump administration
to ensure that this trend of declining enrollment in the food stamp program continues, stating

While the SNAP program requires that state employees certify households for benefits,
the agency issued new guidance in December of last year that would allow private-sector
employees to provide information.
"The new policy maximizes flexibility within the law related to the SNAP certification
process while holding states accountable for ensuring eligible people have access to food
benefits as they move toward self-sufficiency," the agency states.
Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue said this helps the program with streamlined access
and efficiency.
"This flexibility is a positive step toward enhancing customer service and being good
stewards of taxpayer dollars," Perdue said.
"I encourage all states with an interest in this new flexibility to consider this change
in policy, especially states looking for better ways to align their operations across multiple
programs."

Now basically this is gonna be a rough sketch of kind of what I want to, How I want to design

For this one I'm going to take some lines put a dot down here

And then just do this you know a weird
little design
And for the first few minutes you're just kind of doing a rough sketch of what do you want?

Are you going to end up working with?
With all your different kinds of ways of doing it each one. I want each one to be done by some different medium
The nail polish one may be the hardest because I'll have to do that last otherwise I could smear it that does not look pretty
alot of it, It's just playing with shapes
Don't try to think too hard with this just if you want to do something at it I
Think something would look cool. Just do it

And if you mess up just use your sketching pencils that you can
easily erase and restart because this is not what it's going to look like in the end well it is but

Then 1 tablespoon of the dried anchovies powder
I had on 4 out of 6 (heat on the stove)
I left it there for 15 minutes
then, in a small bowl, I put 1 tablespoon sugar
1 tablespoon 고추가루
so, red pepper paste-NO (paste? lol) red pepper flakes or red chili flakes
Then I put in 5 tablespoons 고추장
so...

paste...
I don't know, what's the difference between pepper and paste-No. what? no! what? aaah

Then I mix it

Then I took two.. no three green onions and chopped them into pretty big pieces

I used about 454g
It's like half of the bag (I cooked two times from one bag)

And stirred it so it "melted"? lol
Then I put in the green onion
And Then the eggs
Then I let it simmer (stirring from time to time, gently)
It took about 15 minutes as well
I realize after I did this that I...
should have put in the ramen from the beginning..

because I waited until it had thicken a little, and that's when I put in the ramen
