My next story about the mind-body connection is about a limping horse.

I was acquainted to it through Elvis Joseph.

ಆತನಿಗೀಗ ೨೧ ವರ್ಷ ವಯಸ್ಸು.

ನಮ್ಮ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಪ್ರತಿನಿಧಿಸಲು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಬೃಹತ್ತಾದ ಸ್ಪೂರ್ತಿಯಿದೆ.

ಅದ್ಭುತ!

The 21-year-old boy Elvis talked about is our limping horse.

His story has a little flashback.

A 13-year-old boy.

He too had the zeal and enthusiasm like all other kids.

He was going in a train for the first time.

When his father is asleep, he goes out to play unknown to him.

Putting his head out and watching while standing at the door was his fun,

a game to him.

I feel that Madhu's smile has a certain innocence in it.

But the same smile hides a certain pain behind it.

It has a fire within to win.

There is a determination of standing on one's own feet.

When Madhu fell from the train, he didn't just lose his legs.

His father abandoned him and ran away as well.

Imagine the plight of his mother raising him.

Posing a challenge to life itself while struggling to stand for himself,

I had many questions looking at Madhu.

He may come across as a limping horse to our eyes,

but considering his achievements, he is a winning horse.

This game is yours

The match I watched Madhu play that day, he was defeated.

Every person has his/her own uniqueness.

Say, Vinayak Joshi has something about himself.

Dattanna has something about himself.

Likewise, everyone is special or unique in their own way.

ನೆಹರೂಗಿಂತಲೂ ಮಿಗಿಲಾಗಿ...

ಶಾಸ್ತ್ರಿ ನಂತರ ಯಾರು? ಹಠಾತ್ತನೇ ತೀರಿಹೋದರು.

ಯಾವುದೇ ಸೂಚನೆಯಿಲ್ಲದೆ.

ಇನ್ನೊಬ್ಬರು ಬಂದರು. ಅವರೇ ಇಂದಿರಾ ಗಾಂಧಿ.

ಬಂದು ೧೭ ವರ್ಷ ಈ ದೇಶವನ್ನಾಳಿದರು.

ಅವರಿಗೇನೂ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವಂಥ...

ರಾಜಕೀಯ ಅನುಭವವೋ, ಅಂತರಾಷ್ಟ್ರೀಯ ವ್ಯವಹಾರಗಳ ಅನುಭವವೋ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಆದರೂ ಆ ಸ್ಥಾನವನ್ನು ಅವರು ನಿಭಾಯಿಸಿದರು.

How to Remove Weeds with a Steam Cleaner - Duration: 3:24.

These are the beautiful weeds on our brick driveway, and today we're going to find out

if a home steam cleaning machine can actually kill them at the roots.

If you've ever had an old brick driveway or patio, you know how awful the weeds can be.

Not wanting to ever use herbacides or acids like vinegar, I've always removed the weeds

by hand, but I'm always looking for an easier way.

Recently I was thinking about how some people pour boiling water on weeds, and that gave

me the idea to try the steam cleaner since we already owned one.

Of course, as soon as the big idea came to me I also learned there are actually steamers

made for weeds, so I was hopeful the idea would work.

If you are not familiar with these machines, they are simple to operate.

Distilled water is poured into the reservoir, and it takes about ten minutes for the steam

to be ready.

The steam is applied for about four to eight seconds at the base of each weed.

The steamer lasts for about thirty minutes and that was just enough to do most of the

weeds on the driveway.

Here it is three hours later.

The weeds are still green but you can see they are looking a bit haggard and bent over.

Despite a rain storm at the end of Day One, the weeds were looking even drier on Day Two.

By Day Four we'd had even more rain, but despite that, I could see that the weeds were dying.

Where there were still bits of green left, I decided to steam those again just to finish

it off.

By Day Five, the results were dramatic.

I'll show you again how it looked on Day One in the beginning.

Using a steamer is definitely easier than pulling the weeds by hand, and it does seem

to kill them at the roots.

The next step is to get all the soil out of the gaps between the bricks, probably with

a pressure washer, and then I'll add polymeric sand in between, which will expand and fill

the space so, we hope, new seeds won't germinate in there.
