Battle of the Ports - NARC (ナーク) Show #190 - 60fps - Duration: 10:34.
NARC was one of the first ultra violent video games and was released in 1988.
The game's main characters are Max Force and Hit Man, who have received a memo from Spencer
Williams, Narcotics Opposition chairman in Washington, D.C. dispatching them on Project
NARC.
Their mission is to apprehend Mr. Big, head of an underground drug trafficking and terrorist
organization.
Max and Hit are each equipped with an automatic weapon and a missile launcher.
When an enemy is dispatched using the latter, they explode in a torrent of scorched and
bloody appendages.
Some enemies can be arrested after they surrender and then float away with "busted" over them.
This is then added to a tally at the end of the level along with drugs and money confiscated
from other enemies that they dropped when killed (the game awards more points at the
end of a round for arresting enemies without killing them).
Back in the day NARC was considered to be cool but like oh so many of Williams / Midway
arcade games it's really repetitive and well, quite ugly in this day and age unlike many
Japanese games of the same time.
The Amiga port from Ocean is horrible.
Yeah, sure the arcade wasn't that great but this port is really bad.
I guess you want to know why?
Well, for a start the controls are even stiffer than the arcade machine, the levels are short,
although this could be a bonus.
And the dogs cling to you like flies on shit.
But hey, at least it kind of resembles the arcade in looks and has that "rap" from the
arcade game.
As to be expected the Atari ST version is identical to the Amiga version apart from
being slightly faster.
It even has the same control system where by you need to hold down fire for a few seconds
to use the rockets which by the time they fire you've already been attacked
Staring the CPC port fills you with promise that you're in for a pretty good time with
its faithful (for the hardware) presentation.
Suddenly you notice the smell of diarrhea as the game starts.
Yep, this port is truly steaming heap of crap.
In this day and age it would be considered unplayable, it's that slow.
Not only is it slow but it's next to impossible to even aim your weapon.
Most of the time you'll end up shooting nothing.
So, let's talk about the in-game audio.
Oh wait, we can't.
There is none!
Oh wow, this is a great port.
The C64 version is fast, smooth and controls way better than the Amiga or ST versions.
And just check out that great soundtrack.
Now this is what the Commodore 64 was all about.
David Leitch at Sales Curve Interactive programmed this port and apparently the Amstrad CPC port too.
Obviously the ZX Spectrum port is using the same base engine as the Amstrad CPC version
however this is far better.
The graphics are detailed, speed is faster and it's somewhat playable.
One point I do find annoying however is that you can't kill the bloody dogs it would seem.
Plus they follow you like a pact of wolves even though they look more like Dalmatians.
The NES port was actually developed by Rare.
Unlike popular belief, Rare do and did actually make crappy games from time to time.
Now while this port of NARC isn't the worst out there, it's sure not a great game.
But why is NARC even on Nintendo?
Aren't Nintendo a family company?
Well, Nintendo forced all drug references to be removed from the actual gameplay.
Strangely they allowed the game to retained most of its violence and gore.

whats going on everyone and today i'm going to teach you how to do a double lift and i'm
going to tell you what you can use the double lift for but before we start hit that like
button hit that that subscribe button that notification and lets get started alright
so what a double lift is first of all is like when your doing a trick like lest say people
think your just picking up one card but your actually picking up two cards that's practically
what it is and you can use it in hundreds of different tricks and most the time here's
how it's performed like your suppose to like grab two cards like there I just grabbed two
cards so like the four of diamonds is right here four of diamonds and they'll think you
pt the four of diamonds right there and then you just snap and them it's right there again
its a very easy trick i'm not trying to teach you a trick or anything i'm just trying to
teach you how to do a double lift so you can perform many of my tricks and many tricks
that people perform many tricks that I perform in my videos and all that so how to do this
really is kind of like I just did right there is just go like that and right there I have
three right there I have two you just got to get knowing how to do it like really quick
and I cant do it this good really but people sometimes go like that right there that's
just one card well actually most of the time people go like that I cant do that like right
there I just picked up three cards but most the time I just go like this I just pick up
two cards just like that I take my thumb take my thumb just like this make sure you can
see that really good you don't half to go all the way down there you don't want them
to be able to here that while your picking up one card you just want to go like this
like really slowly kind of as your talking to them and then you just go right theirs
one you just go yeah so this is a pretty cool trick and check this out and right there I
have three as you can tell and then two right there see and then you flip it over so its
kind of hard to explain especially when i have a good camera just like that just go
so i'm going to pick up one card and its the ace and then were going to take the ace I
want you guys to watch really closely take the ace right there watch one two three and
it comes right back to the top and people are like no way and its a double lift hundreds
and thousands of tricks are used with double lifts double lifts including this trick witch

WordPress Child Themes - Duration: 2:16.
Hi, this is David with Tiny Frog. I am a web developer and I'm here to talk to
you today about the difference between a child theme and a parent theme. All
WordPress websites are built using a theme which dictates how the website
looks. So it has code in there that stylizes all the elements and places
all the different elements around on each web page and that's called a theme.
What we can do when we design your site to save time and money is find a theme
that looks close to what we're designing for you and then change it around a
little bit. Instead of taking that theme that's already made and cutting and
slicing it up and hacking it up the way that we want it to be, what we'll do is
we'll design a child theme so that that initial theme - what we call a parent
theme - can stay intact and then we add our modifications in a child theme
which is a compartmentalized set of code that just changes around the parent. So
you have the parent and you have the child, that changes the parent around a
little bit. Why this is important is because WordPress themes are always
receiving updates from their authors and so, you know, as the internet changes and
code gets updated someone might need to adjust that theme to make it work on the
web, with a new internet browser or different versions of different kinds of
software. We don't want to hack that theme up, we want it to be able to
receive those updates and that parent theme. So building a child theme is really
important to make sure that it doesn't interfere with any of the code in the

him admitted I have baby fever so bad she has six kids and a million pets
clearly she's into mothering but she might have her hands full these days
Kroy wasn't completely sold on the idea but he did say at this point but I'll
never say never and he asked did you not get snipped Kroy said you can go back
that sounds like a lot to endure if only he froze some sperm like Jim Edmonds did
to conceive baby Aspen then Akula really got down to business
asking Kroy are you still a free agent would you consider playing for a team
outside of Atlanta what do you currently do for work Kim admitted that's a loaded
question once again Kroy seemed genuinely nervous and I

yes I'm still a free agent I haven't official retired and signed my
retirement paperwork per se and he added are you training a lot still Kroy said

answer the viewer questions saying I would play outside of Atlanta if it's
the right deal Kim chimed in about his current career by saying Kroy is super
dad super husband I can't argue with that one he really is such a family man
nevertheless Kroy admitted I've worked a lot in my career so right now I'm
relaxing a little bit I love investing I love real estate
investing real estate and raising six children doesn't sound like relaxing to
me but grow is a very humble guy Kim jumped in and asked relaxing are you
kidding me Kroy explained relaxing per se

episode was live since Braille biermann's snap activity was at the
center of the war between Kim and Nene a viewer wanted to know how they would
feel if Braille wanted to become a Real Housewife of Atlanta Kim said I mean I

Braille is definitely getting some practice in these days or at the very
