When the wind changed direction, I saw our neighbors' houses without roofs.

All of the houses are roofless.

Around six in the morning,

our housemaid asked, "What color is your roof?" I told her it was red.

She said,"Look at this. Is this your roof?"

When I saw it, I got weak.

That was our roof. I looked up and waited if the rain will continue to pour.

A few moments later, the mango tree fell down.

That became our shelter.

Maybe that was given by God so that we could save ourselves from flying debris.

The water slowly rose.

When we thought that it was our end, I called out to my family and we prayed.

I did nothing but knelt down and cried to God.

I prayed, "Father, please do not abandon me."

I asked the Lord God, "Father, please save us because we can't do anything."

That is what I prayed for.

I said, "Father, have mercy. Please stop the typhoon."

We went up to the roof which is made of stone until we reached where the water tank stood.

My wife asked me, "Where are our children and grandchildren?"

I told her, "Nothing, they're gone because everything is already submerged in water."

Then I saw the roof of our house, it was already submerged in water, and they were under the roof.

That is why I told my wife that they're dead. She cried and cried.

Then I prayed by myself.

The roof suddenly lifted and I saw my family. They're alive!

Typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) left a deep wound.

Livelihoods were gone.

Homes were wrecked.

Some of the members of the Church Of Christ lost their loved ones.

Some of the brethren who lost their loved ones are Sister Emily Dacoco,

Sister Rosalina Sabalsa,

and Brother Antonio Caalim.

My child and grandchild died.

It's too hard to bear. It's too painful.

The floodwaters subsided.

I looked for one of my children. I saw the other safe.

I looked for my third child.

I told people to look for my other child. But they said that they could not find my child.

Before the tragedy that Yolanda (Haiyan), we were seven in the family.

My wife and I have five children.

When Yolanda struck,

its unavoidable, because of the storm surge,

my wife and my two children died.

My firstborn and youngest died.

We felt severe heartache, sadness, and longing.

But despite of what we experienced,

it does not mean that we stopped serving God.

Our trust in God is still whole and intact,

that strengthened me to carry on in life and in my services to Him.

We lost everything, our livelihood, the things we worked for, our house, everything.

Like dust, man's life is fragile.

It comes and go.

Like a calamity, it devastates then it disappears.

But for a member of the Church Of Christ who faced a severe challenge in life,

during such times, their complete trust in God

and to what He can do though the Church Administration will never, ever fade.

We only had one plate worth of food.

My child asked me, "Ma, how much will I eat?"

I told my child, "Just eat as much as you can."

"How about you?" my child asked. I said, "I'll eat your leftovers."

My firstborn thought, "Mommy, how about our food?"

We don't have anything because of our situation.

I said, "My child, don't worry, God will provide.

Why do you worry with such things?

Just think of this.

God saved us from a life-threatening situation, where many people have lost their lives.

If it's only food, I know that God will not abandon us.

He will use an instrument to aid us.

The Church Of Christ helped a lot even to non-members.

We did not starve because after the worship services, the brethren are given rice.

I told my children, "Stay here. I'll go to the house of worship."

After what happened, I went straight to the house of worship.

We were already living here at the compund of the house of worship.

We stayed here for a month.

When we arrived here, it was jam-packed not only by members

but also non-members who I don't recognize.

Others were already inside the house of worship.

We strove to find a corner inside the compound.

The Executive Minister sent lots of clothes.

We had a lot of choices for clothes and shoes.

There were also lots of medicine.

The minister's house seemed like a pharmacy.

That is where we get medicine.

Both the Xiaomi Mi Max 2 and the Xiaomi A1

are two mid range devices witch equipped with the eight-core Snapdragon 625

the eight-core Snapdragon 625

But their most significant difference lies in the software

since mi max 2 runs Xiaomi's Android skin, MIUI

while A1 being the company's first Android One device to run pure Android.

Is there a difference in their performance?

Before we start

I would like to note that if you have seen my previous speed tests

probably you'll have noticed that the times shown in the device timers

are slightly different from those I have noted

This is because i stop counting the laps when the timer app opens

as well as in case of i delayed to open an app

I've also count this time.

Let's start the speed test.

Both devices seem equivalent and none has taken a clear lead.

The A1 seems to have managed to keep all other applications in memory

and finishing the test leaving the mi max 2 a lot behind

Just finish the Mi Max 2 with a big difference from Xiaomi A1

In conclusion,

both devices have similar performance in opening most apps

but when we open more apps, a little delay begins to appear in Mi Max 2

But where I found the biggest difference

is the better memory management in A1 and the faster switching between apps
