Youtube daily report Dec 8 2017

Good morning everyone!

I have no idea what day of vlogmas this is... from this day on I will not know.

Hope you guys are having a great morning.

Although I guess the weekday vlogs are going out at night.

So I hope you guys had a great day!

This morning I'm gonna be doing something really glamorous...

I'm gonna be doing my laundry.

Let me show you guys.

I have a large pile of laundry to do right there.

And for today...

I have an interview dinner to go to later tonight and then my friend Dania is also coming

over to stay for her interview dinner and her interview tomorrow.

I also have an interview tomorrow and the day after.

So you guys can stay tuned for that.

And yeah..

I'm gonna get my laundry started.

I made myself some lunch.

I have some olive bread and then I made a little avocado mashed with... it's one whole

avocado, some olive oil, and some salt and red peppers and like literally a squeeze of

this much lemon.

It's like a little hat that I cut off from here.

So I'm gonna have myself some avocado toast for lunch.

So I just spent the last hour or so working on some of the pictures for the new merchandize

and I'm super super excited for them and for you guys to try them out.

So I wanna show you guys some of the stuff again.

I know last time when I talked about it, I was wearing this keep on striving t-shirt

and I didn't get to show you guys the sweatshirt.

So this is what the sweatshirt looks like.

It says keep on striving on a bigger font.

The lettering for this sweatshirt as well as this t-shirt.. they're both embroidered

so they're super super pretty.

Even the font, they're custom made, so I worked with an illustrator to really custom make

all the font and the lettering and the style and everything.

So I'm really proud of how it turned out and I really like it so I hope you guys enjoy

it too when you guys get them..

Probably sometime in January when the orders come in.

The other sweatshirt that is also on sale is this one.

This is the gray sweatshirt.

It's more of a I guess a classic sweatshirt with the V detail and this actually has embroidered

patch that says strive.

It's really similar to the one that I released last year but slightly better quality because

it's a little thicker and the embroidering really makes a big difference in terms of

style and how it looks.

So these are the three items that are launching.

So I spent the last hour or so kinda working on things and like taking pictures and I did

everything kinda amateur and I took all the pictures with my phone.

So I wanna show you guys some of my favorite pictures.

I thought this would be a good time to talk about some of the sizing because the sizing

is a little confusing.

So this is the picture of t-shirt that I posted.

And in this picture I'm wearing in Large and I wanna let you guys know that the shirts

do run a little small so I do have broad shoulders.

Usually if I want something to be super fitted with my shoulder, I'll wear something medium

but this shirt is large and it's fitting almost perfectly at my shoulders.

I wanna say they do run small and in this picture you can see the sweatshirt.

I guess you can't really see the sizing but basically the sweatshirt I'm wearing is large

and it's fitting almost exactly the same way as this current grey sweatshirt which is a

small.

So I'm gonna say these run a little big and all the white sweatshirt and the white t-shirts

they run small.

So just keep that in mind when you guys are placing the orders.

Hi everyone it is now almost 7 o'clock.

I'm gonna head out to my interview dinner.

I'm gonna leave the key downstairs for Dania so she can get in after her dinner.

I'm hoping to do a small interview with her.

Some of you guys have been asking... interview with a post bacc.

I know Dania did a post bacc and she's sort of a non-traditional applicant for med school

so hopefully we'll be able to do that tonight.

So stay tuned for that.

So I'm back from my interview dinner and Dania is also back from her interview dinner and

we're gonna talk a little bit about her post-bacc experience.

Actually if you're new, this is Dania, my friend.

Dania: Hi guys!

Jamie: She's wearing the brand new strive sweat shirt as am I.

Candy: Meoow!

Jamie: Hi Candy.

No merchandise for you.

Jamie: Alright so tell me briefly about your major in college and whether you considered

medicine in college or before college when you were younger.

Dania: I thought about medicine when I was in high school but I wasn't really something

that was gonna commit to because it takes such a long time.

4 years is a long time to commit to after undergraduate.

I was a psych major in college.

Which kinda led me think about psychiatry.

But I wasn't sure.

There's lots of different paths you can take, you can do clinical psychology like PHD or

you can do a psychiatry program so I took the time off after college to figure out what

I wanted to do and decided that I was more interested in Psychiatry and then I decided

to go down post bacc path because medicine was the path to get to what I wanted to get

to.

Not necessarily that medicine was something that I always wanted to do.

Jamie: So you considered like either a PHD or psychiatry and in between those two option?

You thought that you might want Psychiatry better?

Dania: Yeah, I think you have to weigh the pros and cons of each and I think doing psychiatry

I felt like I would have more options to do the things that I liked about clinical psychology

and combine that with psychiatry.

That was just my personal opinion on what I thought was the best for me at the time.

But yeah... it lead me to medicine.

Jamie: very cool.

Dania: to eventually not psychiatry...

Jamie: We'll talk about that in a little bit.

Ok so tell me about your post bacc process.

Dania: I did a lot of research.

There's lots of different forums online that will tell you all these different things to

do, different places to go to, how much money you should spend, I kinda just took everything

with a grain of salt.

I didn't know anyone who did a post bacc at the time so it was just kind of like me figuring

it out by myself.

I kinda had to figure out what was the most important thing.

And the most important things for post bacc based on the research that I had done was

essentially to: 1.

go somewhere where you can get good grades,

Jamie: MmmHmm that's important

Dania: Yes.

That's like the number one thing.

Probably tied with going to a place where you're guaranteed to get a letter of recommendation.

So the department has to write you a letter of recommendation for medical school.

So you need to kinda go somewhere where they're gonna write one for you.

There's no point in going through these years courses and everything and then someone saying..

'hey we're not gonna write you that letter' but you need it for you application.

So those are the two major things and then after that I kinda just focused on cost because

medical school is expensive by itself and you're doing more schooling so find somewhere

that has a balance of a good reputation but also that was not too expensive mixed with

having the letter of recommendation I need and me being able to get good grades.

So those were the major criteria that I looked for when I was applying to a program.

Jamie: Did you take pre-med classes in undergrad when you were getting your degree.

Or was everything was everything brand new again?

Dania: I never took anything...

I took one semester of chemistry in undergrad.

One of the things that you have to look at..

There's two different types of path.

One is a career charger which is what I am.. which means you pretty much have never taken

pre-med classes ever... chem, bio, orgo and physics.

The other is pretty much if you're trying to improve your grades that you already have.

So those are two different types of paths.

And when you go and look at post bacc programs, it will tell you theres two paths you can

take and they'll ask you which one are you.

So I've never taken it so I was what they called a "career changer"

Jamie: What were some challenges and some benefits of pursuing medicine via this non

traditional route.

Dania: I think benefits as far as when you're applying.

You have a lot more life experiences, you've kinda taken the time to figure out what you

wanna do with your life.

Maybe you've worked some other places and just the benefit of even considering other

options in your career is..

I think will help you in the long run because you've done research on everything else that

kinda goes into those other paths.

So when you get to medicine you're really like..

I'm doing medicine and this is what I wanna do.

Some of the cons.. it's not really till you get to medical school... you kinda feel like

'ok i've been kinda out of this game a long time, these people have been die hard medicine

since like age 2, their whole family is in medicine.

And sometimes I feel like that can be a little overwhelming.

But that's something you get over within the first year.

Kinda like the adjustment process to realize.. okay I did all these things these people did

we're all on even playing field now.

Jamie: You already mentioned what to look for in a program so any last parting advice

for people who are considering medicine as a non traditional applicant?

Dania: Last advice... is really to go to some place where you feel like they are making

the program for you to succeed.

A lot of places can say we offer courses but they're not necessarily make it easy for their

applicants to succeed.

So I'm not saying they're a money business but you wanna go somewhere where you gonna

feel supported.

You're gonna feel like the staff is gonna have your back and they really want their

students to get to medical school so when you go and when you're looking at places,

figure out where do people go afterwards.

If they say they're guaranteeing interviews at their school or they're guaranteeing acceptances

based on GPA, try and talk to some fo the people who are there because not everything

is what it seems.

I think just talking to people who are in the programs or reaching out or kinda doing

a little bit of research about the reputation of the program will go a long way because

you'll find some place that will fit you best and honestly the most important thing at the

end of the day is to get the letter and to get good grades.

It doesn't really matter where you go.

Jamie: That's true, that what the med schools look at.

Your grades, your letter.

The name of the school that you went to for post bacc really doesn't play a role i feel

like.

Dania: It's so minimal So so minimal.

I would say save your money for medical school because that's a whole another investment.

Jamie: Thank you for answering all the questions.

Dania: No, no problem.

Jamie: We'll let you get some rest for you interview tomorrow.

So this concludes the interview.

Hope you guys enjoyed the vlog.

Hope you guys enjoyed the interview.

If you have any questions about post bacc leave it down below in the comments and I

will see you guys tomorrow!

Bye!

Kim Kardashian Inspired Smokey Eye Makeup Tutorial - Duration: 6:27.

Hey guys so for today's video I have a Kim Kardashian inspired a makeup look I

figured I would do a celebrity makeup look and kind of show you guys how to

recreate it so I chose this photo from Kim Kardashian it was from a couple

months ago so it isn't a recent photo she doesn't have her blonde hair here

but I think it's a really nice makeup look it's still really glam like you

have a super full coverage glam face but a really simple natural wispy kind of

looking eye and a kind of semi glossy lip I'm excited to be sharing this

makeup look with you guys please don't forget to give me a like thumbs up if

you do enjoy these celebrity and makeup looks and I definitely can do more also

if you're new to my channel please subscribe but we have tons of fun on

this channel I do everything from makeup tutorials to favorites videos to routine

videos to just chit Jack you're ready with me so when we sit down and chat

like we're girlfriends and best friends so make sure you subscribe and if you

are subscribed already don't forget to click the bell icon and make sure you

click all so that you actually get notified for all of them and not just

occasional so other than that if you guys are interested in checking out this

Kim Kardashian celebrity inspired makeup look then make sure to keep on watching

so the first thing I'm gonna do is spray a little bit of this tatcha luminous

dewy skin mist and then go straight into priming I'm gonna mix the huda beauty

and the Fenty's so Fenty's gonna go in the center on the t-zone and mainly the

nose and then the hood I'm gonna apply on the outer parts of my face in this

photo Kim has a little bit more of on the mater side of skin so like a matte

skin but still really healthy-looking nothing too dry obviously so I am gonna

use the huda beauty foundation in the shade baklava but this shade was a

little bit dark for my tan this week so I mixed in a little bit of toasted

coconut just to lighten it up a little bit and brought it down to my neck and

for concealer I am using the Tarte shape tape Kim's face in this photo is super

full coverage and like super glam so this is the concealer I go for whenever

I want to look really glam and let's be honest it's my favorite concealer

so I am gonna really set down that concealer but also brighten it I'm gonna

take both of these shades to make sure that my under eye is nice and bright but

also nice and matte and set

for contouring and bronzing we're gonna use cream products typically Kim does

use cream products to contour and lately I've been loving them too so today I'm

going to use the fenty latte for bronzing and I'm really gonna work on

slimming down the sides of my face just to make my face appear longer and

slimmer so I'm going to bronze up the face with latte and then really add some

extra definition in the cheekbones with truffle and then set and further contour

that with the hoola bronzer so she actually has a good amount of blush on

in the photo so I'm adding NARS orgasm just to add a really pretty flush of

color of pink to the cheeks and I almost forgot to contour my nose so I'm gonna

take the k'kaw medium contour stick and really do a nice contour on the nose and

blend that out I did it a little bit heavier than I normally would and for

highlight even though in the photo her face and her cheeks don't look that

highlighted mainly her nose so I just put a little bit on the cheekbones this

is Nina Cabrera a BH glow kit and I'm putting a good

amount on my nose and some of the Cupid's bow and for my brows I'm gonna

work on making them a little bit thicker since she does have thicker darker brows

and than I do and here I'm using dark brown by Anastacio dip brow I would use

em peponi but I don't have the ebony dip brow so I'm just gonna fill it in with

dark brown and then I am touching it up with the ebony brow powder just so that

I can really darken the brow for eyes she has a really simple but like I don't

even know how to describe it for some reason I just think of it as like wispy

I don't know why just a really simple sultry wispy type of eyes so I am mixing

sienna I think in a raw sienna and warm taupe I believe it's called because the

eye is not that warm it kind of has like this neutral vibe so I'm mixing that

putting on the lower lash and on the crease and then I'm taking this

beautiful deep brown and just putting a little bit of that her I was not

dramatic at all the photo so we're not gonna apply too

much we're just working on smoking it out a little bit and you are bringing it

from inner to outer now the lid had a really nice like satin finish it wasn't

anything too shimmery so I just mixed these two shades and pop that right on

the lid and I did add some of that dark brown really close to the bottom

lashline and the top I really loved the effect that this gave is really added

like that really so tree Kim Kardashian smoky I made it like it tied the whole

look together for lashes I am using at the L'Oreal paradise mascara this gives

you super like really wispy lashes so this in combination with the falsies

that I used I use the bold makeup falsies in this style lashes for days

and it just gives you like super wispy but still natural looking lashes and for

the lips I am lining my lips with Kat Von D's bow-and-arrow

now I'm really working on making my lips look one plumper and two rounder cuz she

has pretty round lips even her Cupid's bow is rounded and it's not pointed

so in the photo I know she is actually using kiki from her velvet lip line but

for some reason on me it just comes off really pink so I ended up mixing it with

Kimberly and then also mixing it with a little bit of Kylie's a birthday suit so

last thing I did was just finish off the face with some mac fix+ spray and then

that is pretty much it I really hope you guys enjoyed this look as always thank

you guys so much for watching bye guys

How did this Alaska wildlife refuge migrate into the GOP tax bill? - Duration: 5:18.

MILES O'BRIEN: Let's turn now to our continuing coverage of the Republican tax bill.

We have talked about some of its other impacts that go well beyond the matter of taxes.

Tonight, we look at a particular part of the Senate bill that has not gotten a lot of attention,

the possibility of opening up a pristine and long-protected part of the Alaska to oil extraction.

William Brangham has been following this.

He joins me now.

William, we're talking about ANWR, the Alaska National Wildlife Rescue.

It's a beautiful place.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: That's right.

It is supposedly one of -- I think it's been called the Serengeti of America.

It's 19 million acres, the northeast corner of Alaska, right up against the sea and the

Canadian border.

It was designated as a wildlife refuge in 1980.

And, by all measures,, it is this incredibly lush, rich ecosystem, migratory birds, grizzly

bears, musk oxen, fish.

Apparently, the marquee species up there is called the porcupine caribou.

And they do this incredible migration, 2,700 miles across Canada, to give birth right on

the coast there, on the beaches there.

MILES O'BRIEN: I think people imagine just ice.

And it is rich with wildlife.

I have had the great opportunity to be up there, and the amount of wildlife you see

is rather extraordinary.

In 1980, it was protected.

Why are we talking about drilling now?

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Well, it's believed that there is oil under the ground.

That's obviously the biggest issue.

The estimates range -- it's five to 15 billion barrels of oil is under the ground there.

Oil companies have long wanted to drill there.

And the Alaska delegation has often said, we need these jobs, we need these resources,

and we can do it safely.

Don Young has been saying this.

Lisa Murkowski has been saying this, Ted Stevens, the former senator there.

Murkowski, in particular, if you remember, her father was governor and senator of the

state, was one of the early proponents.

And the Murkowski family has been pushing this for a very long time.

In fact, let's listen to Lisa Murkowski.

This is her recently talking about how we can drill and protect this beautiful landscape.

SEN.

LISA MURKOWSKI (R), Alaska: We will not sacrifice the caribou, the polar bear or the migratory

birds for the sake of development, but we also recognize that that is not a choice that

we face here.

And no matter how hard some try to make this an either/or proposition, there is no question

that development and environmental protection can and do exist in Alaska.

MILES O'BRIEN: So, on the one hand, people up there care very deeply about those caribou

herds.

On the other hand, this is a big economic driver for Alaska, obviously.

So, what's the reaction among the local tribes, the Inuit, the indigenous people?

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Well, the environmental groups would have you believe that all the

Native groups are against it.

And it's not really clear that that's true.

The Gwich'in people, who live closest to the area that we're talking about, they subsist

largely on the caribou.

They eat the caribou.

They use the further.

It's a big part of their culture and their history.

And they're worried that, if you start drilling in this area, the caribou will not show up

and their livelihood will take a huge hit.

The Inupiat, who also live in the area, and who have also seen some benefits economically

from the development at the Prudhoe Bay, which is the biggest oil field just to the west

of this area, they think, we like the jobs idea.

We like they're possibly being money.

So it's a mixed bag of opinion up there.

MILES O'BRIEN: How did the caribou migrate their way into this tax bill?

(LAUGHTER)

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Doesn't totally make sense.

Right?

Oil and taxes are not usually a mix here.

To simplify this, Congress gets to decide in these reconciliations what is germane.

And Lisa Murkowski, as we talked about, she got the CBO to demonstrate that a billion

dollars could be earned if two leases were sold over the next 10 years to drill in ANWR.

MILES O'BRIEN: Ah, there's revenue there.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: Because there is revenue, then they can put it in this bill.

And that's how they do it.

Now, environmentalists and Democrats say this is an absolutely wrong way, that if you actually

tried to stand up drilling in ANWR as its own piece of legislation, it would never survive,

and they hate the way this is going down.

Let's listen to Sheldon Whitehouse.

The Democrat of Rhode Island has been very strong about this.

SEN.

SHELDON WHITEHOUSE (D), Rhode Island: We're technically here today for the ministerial

purpose of combining the tax bill with a proposition to allow drilling in the Alaska National Wildlife

Revenue, which has nothing to do with taxes or the budget, but will help round up a Republican

Senate vote.

This whole process confirms once again that our budget process is completely broken.

MILES O'BRIEN: Given the success of oil exploration elsewhere, particularly with fracking, is

this oil that's really needed?

After all, it's very expensive to get it up there.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: That's right.

If you take the median estimate of what's in the ground up there, it's about 10 billion

barrels of oil in the ground.

The U.S. uses about seven billion a year, so it's a considerable amount of oil.

Again, no one really knows if that's the real amount up there.

And oil companies want to go there.

They think the calculus is right.

Environmentalists argue the risk for such a pristine area is too risky to take, given

all the other available sources of energy we do have.

MILES O'BRIEN: William Brangham, thank you very much.

WILLIAM BRANGHAM: My pleasure.

Hot n New SEMA 2017: TIS 544 - Duration: 3:12.

- Ahh

(Beep)

- I quit.

- [Camera Operator] Say that again

- I'm never making a video again

(Beep)

I'm never drinking again.

I'm never drinking again.

(upbeat music)

Hey guys Shawn with Custom Offsets,

Custom Offsets TV on the YouTube.

Got another Hot n New SEMA Edition for you.

We just snuck over to the TIS booth

to check out what they got coming out.

This is gonna be the 544 that came out for TIS.

You can see that it's a directional wheel.

So it's gonna be a cast wheel,

so it won't be true directional.

You'll have all four going the same direction.

But they've got it in chrome

and then they've got the black in milled

so I'll touch on that.

The sizes that they're gonna come with this one is

they're gonna be a 20 by 12,

the 22 by 12, the 22 by 14 and the 24 by 14.

So they're gonna do it in all the bigger sizes

and the reason is this is a nice, big, deep lipped wheel.

So they're really pushing it in those aggressive sizes.

You're gonna see this is the 22 by 14,

negative 76 offset.

And what that means is

it's gonna just inhale that dollar bill.

Basically you've got an eight inch lip on that one.

So a nice, big, deep lipped wheel.

And like I said the sizes it's come in

are gonna really help out with that.

Let's quick do the bill test on the 12 wide also.

So this is 12 wide, negative 44 on a 22,

and you'll see it's just short.

It's about five and three quarters

as far as the lip size on that one.

Also still a good lip size.

They did that by getting a nice flat, flat spoke.

So it kinda give you that forged wheel look,

but it's still a cast wheel and cast wheel pricing.

These guys pretty much run

right in that typical pricing range

of the moderate name brand wheels for your cast wheels.

So very competitively priced,

especially in the sized that they're running.

You'll see it's a covered cap,

this isn't one to run the exposed lug nut.

The chrome has the chrome cap with the black logo,

and then the black and milled is gonna have the black cap

with the gold logo on that one.

And if you look at this,

what they've done is basically

anywhere where the wheel is cut out,

they went and milled that.

So they milled all around all of the windows and spokes

and then inside these details as well.

Now this one you can see has got the exposed lug nuts.

My guess is the eight lug is gonna run the exposed

and then the five and six lug,

they'll probably run covered cap, dual drilled.

So you'll wanna watch that when you're grabbing them,

what is says as far as the lug nuts on that wheel.

Now sometimes these are also

just the ones they're bringing out to show off to us

because we're at SEMA,

and you'll wanna watch when you go to order

that it's got the exposed or covered cap on the lug nuts.

The other thing that I noticed right away is

around the lip they got rid of the rivets

and they went with the "TIS Off Road"

engraved all the way around.

So you can see that that's engraved

and then cleared over the top.

And same thing on the chrome.

It doesn't stand out quite as much

but its' also stamped all the way around that one.

So that's gonna be your new 544 from TIS.

Peace.

A Key to the Search for Alien Life Earth's Atmosphere has a Nitr - Duration: 6:02.

A Key to the Search for Alien Life Earth's Atmosphere has a Nitrogen Signature That's

Unique to Our Planet

A team of scientists reports the discovery of a planetary-scale "tug-of-war" of life,

deep Earth and the upper atmosphere that is expressed in atmospheric nitrogen.

Compared with other key elements of life -- such as oxygen, hydrogen and carbon -- molecular

nitrogen is very stable.

Two nitrogen atoms combine to form N2 molecules that stay in the atmosphere for millions of

years.

The Earth's atmosphere differs from the atmospheres of most other rocky planets and moons in our

solar system in that it is rich in nitrogen gas, or N2; the Earth's atmosphere is 78 percent

nitrogen gas.

Titan, the largest of Saturn's more than 60 moons, is the other body in our solar system

with a nitrogen-rich atmosphere that resembles ours.

The majority of nitrogen has an atomic mass of 14.

Less than one percent ofnitrogen has an extra neutron.

While this heavy isotope, nitrogen-15, is rare, N2 molecules that contain two nitrogen-15s

-- which chemists call 15N15N -- are the rarest of all N2 molecules.

The team of scientists measured the amount of 15N15N in air and discovered that this

rare form of nitrogen gas is far more abundant than scientists had expected.

The Earth's atmosphere contains about two percent more 15N15N than can be accounted

for by geochemical processes occurring near the Earth's surface.

"This excess was not known before because nobody could measure it," said senior author

Edward Young, a UCLA professor of geochemistry and cosmochemistry.

"Our one-of-a-kind Panorama mass spectrometer allows us to see this for the first time.

We conducted experiments showing that the only way for this excess of 15N15N to occur

is by rare reactions in the upper atmosphere.

Two percent is a huge excess."

Young said the enrichment of 15N15N in Earth's atmosphere is a signature that's unique to

our planet.

"But it also gives us a clue about what signatures of other planets might look like, especially

if they are capable of supporting life as we know it."

"We didn't believe the measurements at first, and spent about a year just convincing ourselves

that they were accurate," said lead author Laurence Yeung, an assistant professor of

Earth, environmental and planetary sciences at Rice University.

The study began four years ago when Yeung, then a UCLA postdoctoral scholar in Young's

laboratory, learned about the first-of-its-kind mass spectrometer that was being installed

in Young's laboratory.

"At that time, no one had a way to reliably quantify 15N15N," said Yeung, who joined Rice's

faculty in 2015.

"It has an atomic mass of 30, the same as nitric oxide.

The signal from nitric oxide usually overwhelms the signal from 15N15N in mass spectrometers."

The difference in mass between nitric oxide and 15N15N is about two one-thousandths the

mass of a neutron.

When Yeung learned that the new machine in Young's laboratory could discern this slight

difference, he applied for grant funding from the National Science Foundation to learn exactly

how much 15N15N is in the Earth's atmosphere.

Co-authors Joshua Haslun and Nathaniel Ostrom at Michigan State University conducted experiments

on N2-consuming and N2-producing bacteria that allowed the team to determine their 15N15N

signatures.

These experiments suggested that one should see a bit more 15N15N in air than random pairings

of nitrogen-14 and nitrogen-15 would produce -- an enrichment of about 1 part per 1,000,

Yeung said.

"There was a bit of enrichment in the biological experiments, but not nearly enough to account

for what we'd found in the atmosphere," Yeung said.

"In fact, it meant that the process causing the atmospheric 15N15N enrichment has to fight

against this biological signature.

They are locked in a tug-of-war."

The team found that zapping mixtures of air with electricity, which simulates the chemistry

of the upper atmosphere, could produce enriched levels of 15N15N like they measured in air

samples.

The researchers tested air samples from ground level and from altitudes of about 20 miles,

as well as dissolved air from shallow ocean water samples.

"We think the 15N15N enrichment fundamentally comes from chemistry in the upper atmosphere,

at altitudes close to the orbit of the International Space Station," Yeung said.

"The tug-of-war comes from life pulling in the other direction, and we can see chemical

evidence of that.

We can see the tug-of-war everywhere."

Co-authors are Issaku Kohl and Edwin Schauble of UCLA; Huanting Hu of Rice; Shuning Li,

formerly of UCLA and Rice and now with Peking University in Beijing; and Tobias Fischer

of the University of New Mexico.

The research was supported by the National Science Foundation, the Deep Carbon Observatory

and the U.S. Department of Energy's Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center.

How To Mod Podge A Wooden Letter - Duration: 13:18.

Hi I'm Kitty and I'm Jennifer and we're the O'Neil Sisters and we're going to

show you how to decorate a wooden letter. This is a fun decoupage project that

anyone can do. Let's get started!

To decorate the letter the first thing you need is a letter. And we got this

nice big letter from the craft store. Ours was already painted white but if

yours is a different color you might want to get started by painting it with

white paint. To decorate the letter we've got some beautiful scrapbook papers in

sort of matching colors and patterns here. And we've got scissors to cut them

out. And we're going to use Mod Podge. We chose a Matte Mod Podge because the

paper is matte and we like the look of that matte paper so we're using Matte Mod

Podge. You could use regular Mod Podge too. And we're going to use a nice big

flat brush to apply it. And then finally to decorate our paper we're going to use

a gold paint pen to add a little of embellishment.

To decorate our letter with this beautiful paper the first thing we need

to do is trace the paper and cut it out, but before we just get started tracing

we want to pay attention to where the flowers are and what our design is and

where it's gonna land on our letter. And when we look at the paper it seems like

you'd want to put the letter right there, square it up in the center, just because

that's easy to trace and cut out but it looks like we'd end up with a whole

flower and the rest partially cut off. We think it might be more fun to have all

the flowers a little bit cut off. They look a little more designy. So what do

you think about shifting it a little bit like that. I think it's a good idea.

Except otherwise the whole top is this one big red pink flower and it might

dominate too much. If you don't really that seems great yeah and then we'll end

up with a little bit of all the colors too I think that looks nice so what

we're gonna do is we're gonna just trace the letter with a pencil all the way

around the letter and you can see I'm tracing on the front of the paper

this letter is symmetric and I really could trace it on the back and then flip

it over and it probably would fit perfectly but because you might have a

letter B or a D or a K you don't want to trace it on the back when you flip it

over you'll have the wrong side of the paper shaped like your K so we're going

to show you how to do it on the front and we recommend that you do it on the

front I think do it that way no matter what letter you have just in case the

manufacturing of your letter isn't perfectly symmetric this way we know

this is going to fit on here perfect so I've got that all traced out and I'm not

worried about these pencil lines showing because I want to cut the paper inside a

little bit of these trace lines and that way it doesn't need to come perfectly to

the edge it doesn't need to line up perfectly and no give us a little white

border enough water will end up looking intentional if you accidentally cut it

out in a way that more border shows or it get letters completely covered in one

spot but there's a little bit of a border and another spot this looks

intentional yeah it'll look like a nice little outline go ahead and cut that

section off of here part of why we are starting with the

letter white is that sometimes scrapbook paper can be

a little bit transparent and you don't want to lose your color of your paper I

mean every picked out this beautiful paper my first thought when I saw this

was oh let's paint the letter at this deal or the painters yeah and which

would be pretty to have that showing as your border right it might muddy this

color yeah paper so the white will keep it nice and bright it will add some

lightness behind the paper so I'm just cutting in a little tiny bit and then

we'll just lay it on the letter and see if we like how much border we have and

if the borders even snow trial and error here these scissors that Kitty's using

or most favorite scissors for this kind of project because they're they're big

so they're not you know like little tiny scissors you would use for decoupage

where you're cutting out little flowers or whatever that's nice for a big

straight lines and also these are kind of a ergonomic yes so if you have

arthritis or you know have a little bit of trouble with your hands or you're

just doing a lot of cutting these scissors have a spring in them that

balances back and they just think that's yeah so you press them and open them

they open by spring rather than trying to use this part of your hand to open

them and we ended up getting up because we do so much cutting we were having

hand injuries yeah you get like hand fatigue you poked my way in here oh

that's smart that's a good little trick that the designers that do be strapped

with papers are such artists generally and the colors they pick out are always

on trend and yes patterns and this one came from a block of paper where all the

papers were made to be coordinated together so that's how we chose our side

paper at the polka dots we're going to use on the side we chose from the same

block and it's the same color it's probably the same ink that they used

here you know what that they used for that I have one piece left here to cut

out and then we'll test it and see if we like how

much border I did it's good so here's our a oh it's pretty already it's pretty

already and I like how much border we have I think did you have any extra

border anywhere else I think so done Leslie this part right

here is just overlapping a little bit okay so maybe it's a nice image I'm

gonna just kind of bend it with my finger I'm kind of creasing it and

that's gonna help me see where I want to cut that a little bit and maybe smaller

scissors would help with this part but I think I can get the nail yeah that's

enough I'd rather cut it's a few times and take a little away each time because

I can't add the paper back little amount was just right so now the letter is it's

almost decorated but we need to fix it on there with on line punch so to do

that I'm just gonna just pour a little bit of Mod Podge into a dish here cuz I

think it's easier to work with don't need the ton mm-hmm and then we're

using a nice flat paintbrush we just like the decoupaging with the flat

paintbrush and then the trick with adhering a piece of paper that's this

big to something as big as a letter is you don't want to paint the whole

surface first with the Mod Podge normally when we decoupage we would

paint this whole thing with the Mod Podge and then quickly transfer whatever

the paper is on top but we have to line this up and if we accidentally started

you know over here a little bit time we got down here it wouldn't match it's all

misaligned exactly so instead what we're gonna do is line it up how we want it

and I'm gonna start in one corner holding this down I'm just gonna tip

this back get some of the girl scrap paper under there so pull this back get

a little bit of Mod Podge on the brush here whoops and paint the Mod Podge

directly onto the letter like that and then press this down and what that's

gonna do is allow me to have one corner of the letter affixed already and then I

can peel this part back and continue modpodge a knowing that

that's already held on there nice and tight it is kind of nice just do a

little at a time if you tried to paint the whole thing with the Mod Podge some

of my punch might dry before you got the paper onto it so you can just work in

sections like this put down a little Mod Podge press down your paper it also

helps you not get wrinkles nobody likes wrinkles in their decoupage

that's right you can just press it down with your fingers a little bit at a time

pressing out any excess it can squeeze out the sides and we love decorating

letters is a really fun gift you can give to someone with a new baby if you

know the baby's name and you can use scrap of papers that have like baby

imagery like teddy bears or little duckies or whatever or you could do a

more grown-up one maybe for a couple that's getting married that's a fun I do

a letter for them and you could even use a glitzy paper like a nice foil almost a

wedding look oh yeah for that and all you need to know is the person's name

and if you want to spell out a whole name you could do that too you could do

more than just the initial you could get for a boy's room

yeah I've seen some really cute like cowboy imagery I love the colors with

the denim and you could use those colors be nice and these letters are everywhere

and you just want to pick a letter that has nice flat surfaces to decoupage onto

yeah it's easier than getting one that has a beveled edge or something a little

bit of wrinkle there press it out yeah when if you haven't ranked on

usually you can press it out and we're gonna my punch over the top of this too

and that also helps you soften the paper a little bit yeah so it's gonna be

easier to so it says press the letter wrinkles out

there you go right over the top at the top and I'm just gonna go back and forth

kind of in all directions here so that we don't end up with stripes although

you can also get a matte fine surface that looks really smooth by sanding the

front after the Mod Podge dries if you don't like brushstrokes I kind of like

how the brush eyes look - it looks handmade and that's the whole point is

that you're making handmade gift that's wonderful if you get a little bit of Mod

Podge in the edge here you can just why with the brush because we're gonna use

the accent color for the edges so that's gonna get covered up anyway yeah on the

inside this will dry clear so don't worry about covering up your image it

looks a little pasty right now or cloudy but once you once it dries it'll be nice

and clear and you can do multiple coats if you'd like it to look more glossy or

yeah a little bit of wrinkle there I'm gonna press out well yeah you see how

the excess decoupage medium came out the side there yeah

does that look that looks great you see someone will start to press out I'm

gonna wet my finger a little bit with some extra Mod Podge you just work it

out to the side yeah and that actually works great good that's great so we're

gonna let this coat of Mod Podge dry and then we're going to cut strips out of

our coordinating paper and we're going to use those strips to do the same

technique on the sides of our letter

so we finished decoupaging the whole letter to do these outside edges we cut

strips of the complementary paper this pink paper in the right width it's the

same width for all these edges so we just used one side to measure and cut

the strips and to fit them into the inside of the letter we just held it up

sideways to the letter and cut it and then fit it in a little bit of trial and

error but the they all fit and we glued them on the same way by putting a layer

of Mod Podge on top of the letter on the side of the letter and then laying the

strip of paper on it so our letter is almost completely dry it's still a

little bit wet underneath the paper which is why we still have some wrinkles

here but those will flatten out as it continues to dry it's certainly dry

enough on the surface for us to go ahead and do a little embellishing with our

gold paint pen so this is optional but we just thought it added a little bit of

extra Flair and a nice little handmade touch to add some dots with a gold paint

pen and I'm just gonna look at the letter the scrap of paper itself and see

where it might want a little bit of highlight a little extra shine or Sheen

and mostly what I'm looking for our dots in the pattern our pattern has a lot of

these little dots and I'm just taking the gold paint pen and adding some gold

right on top of those dots I don't need to do every one of them I'm just gonna

space it out so I have a little gold over here we'll want a little bit of

gold up here I'll do the inside of these little stamens on the flower I think

I'll do the inside of the circle and this one and it's just gonna give it

that little extra something with this paint pen and I'm just gonna keep on

adding these little dots not too many I think I'm almost done and then we're

gonna let that finish drying our letter came with a little hanger on the back

already but if yours doesn't have a hanger you'll want to put a hanger on

the back so that you can hang it up on the wall didn't that turn out nice it

looks great we're so excited love our letter

Peace.

Kimberly and then also mixing it with a little bit of Kylie's a birthday suit so

last thing I did was just finish off the face with some mac fix+ spray and then

that is pretty much it I really hope you guys enjoyed this look as always thank

you guys so much for watching bye guys

lego robotics project - 2017 - tips to keep our water clean. - Duration: 4:50.

hmm sorry almost forgot we were talking about water problems well here

we go. our lakes and rivers are polluted because the homeowners and the

pollutants they use cause dirty stormwater to run into lakes and rivers

there are easy things to do to keep the water clean so here are tips to save our water

*countdown*

*beeb*

tip 1 is to fertilize smart use fertilizers at our phosphorus free. the

reason for this is because our area soil has enough phosphorous in it

tip 2 grass, don't blow it off.

*record scratch*

what i do mean is you should rake grass clipping back onto your lawn

and not really blow them into the street in general.

scoop the poop! (+1 to poop counter) you should scoop the poop because

when it rains, the pooopy water goes into the lakes

and it makes the lakes contaminated with the (poop streak!) poop

which the poop poop has bacteria in it

*sloshing water*

so use your runoff water to deal with other plants and water them such as

don't do this it's not helpful you could collect the runoff water

and then use it to water your other plants such as trees

*rain*

plant a rain garden if you plant a rain garden in the ground or down slope it will help let

water pool up and will allow for plants to grow and it allow the water to seep

into the ground

keep a healthy lawn

*charlie placing band-aid® on lawn*

are you kidding me?

not that!

*charlie awkwardly giving ground a hug*

seriously?!

no no no. like you need to aerate your lawn or cut it or mow it lower cuz just remember a

healthy lawn equals good environment!

so to help with the water,

don't use chemicals so then the chemicals don't seep down and make the

water filled with chemicals instead like maybe is something idk more natural that way

don't use turf because it doesn't really help the plants grow as well because

turf basically does it best to prevent anything from get from getting its roots

deep such as this tree *ROASTS TREE* (BOI) it wouldn't be alive if it was on turf.

(music is "only time" by enya)

(music coming up is "the can can" by Jacques Offenbach from orpheus in the underworld)

adopt a storm drain! to adopt a storm drain you go online and you sign up

for a storm drain. when you adopt the storm drain you are cleaning out

everything that could go down like leaves, grass clippings, soil, oil because all of that

goes in the nearby lakes and we don't want that to happen

(music is "the can can" by Jacques Offenbach from orpheus in the underworld)

tip 1 is to fertilize smart use fertilizers teddy stop!

tip 1 is the fertilizer when you fertilize use fertiliders ferti- *sigh*

*awkward pause as i forget my lines*

(charlie) and im like heh heh heh.

"wait your still recording"? (yep)

*awkward pause as sam looks at the camera*

and then I'm gonna do yeah I can just edit it (didnt edit it XD)

"seriously?"

*charlie takes a big drink of water and almost chokes from laughing*

Café - Planification [1] | Vlogmas 7 (w/ english subtitles) - Duration: 4:02.

Hello everyone! Before I start the video I just wanted to know if you don't notice something different

about me today?

Hmm.. what I weird question,

I wonder what I could be talking about.

Today I would like to talk about planification in the writing process.

It's in my opinion the most important part of the writing process,

and I'm currently in the middle of it with my story Café.

For those wondering what I'm talking about,

I made a video a few days ago about my story.

I'm going to put it in the description and also as a card on the screen.

So it's going to appear up there.

A few months ago I wrote an article on my blog about my planification process,

so how I personally plan my stories.

But basically, in my opinion, in the writing process there are four big steps.

The first step is worldbuilding, so the moment you build the universe of your story.

The second step is the planification, so the moment you organize your story,

decide your characters, etc.

The third step is the drafting in itself.

And the fourth step, the proofreading/rewriting and everything else around

the correction process.

On my blog, I explain basically how I plan a story,

but really it changes a lot depending on the story

because I'm not going to plan a fanfiction the same way I would plan a short story

or a novel with multiple parts.

For Café I have decided to use the snowflake method

which is a planification method that I really like

and I will probably make a more in depth video about it.

But I will put a link in the description for the curious people who want to know more

on the subject.

It's a method that asks a lot of time and effort

but I really like it because when you've finished with it,

you have a really precise idea of the story that you're going to write.

And being a big plotter,

I need to know my story before I start writing it.

Now I've arrived at the moment where I'm writing the synopsis of my story.

I did almost all my planification on Evernote,

because I'm almost never home so the fact that all my documents where in a cloud

was really practical. I could access my documents everywhere

and on any computer.

So I finished the synopsis of the story, which is in fact a big detailed summary

of everything that is happening in the story.

I printed it and then I used that synopsis to start organizing my chapters.

And for this story I have decided to use a new organization method for the chapters.

In the others stories I've written, I would just take the synopsis and cut it into chapters

but I've realized that it would give me a lot of chapters and a lot of useless scenes.

So I've decided to change this by not only cutting my synopsis into chapters

but by also cutting it into scenes.

I've decided to do it by hand and by first cutting my synopsis into chapters

like I'm used to do.

It's a process that takes a lot of time and a lot of thinking but

I think it will be a lot of time gained on the correction of the first draft later.

Name of the chapter.

Principal storyline.

Side storyline.

On my last works I lost a lot of time during the correction

trying to reorganize completely my stories.

When you're writing a first draft and you realize at the end that nothing makes sense

and that you need to reorganize and re-plan everything,

it's really discouraging.

So to start with a clean plan and a well-structured story

I think it's going to help me a lot.

That's it for this video!

I will probably make a sequel to this video where I'll show you how

I will cut my chapters into scenes.

Don't hesitate to tell me in the comments your different planification techniques

if you're also working on stories.

And that's it! I'll see you tomorrow for a new Vlogmas video. Bye!

Joaquin Phoenix Playing Jesus? | Christian Cinema Weekly - Duration: 2:55.

Joaquin Phoenix plays Jesus in the new biblical epic

and huge Christmas movie discounts coming up,

plus this week's Christian Cinema Pic of the Week,

right here on Christian Cinema Weekly.

'Tis the season and nothing reminds me of that

more than the fact that I have a sore throat.

But I've got my Theraflu and my Kleenexes

and other name brands.

We're pushing through and we're gonna give you

the latest and greatest of Christian movie news,

'cause that's what we do around here.

Let's get into it.

Well, last week, when I wasn't making

a Christian Cinema Weekly,

I was laying flat on my bed,

praying that the rapture would happen.

But it did give me the chance

to watch the new Christmas movie, Chasing the Star.

This is a much more realistic and deeper dive

into the lives of the wise men than I'm used to.

We follow them as they travel through an unforgiving desert

in search of the prophesied messiah.

And, along the way, they face a multitude of evil forces.

It's definitely a new take on the story.

It seems aimed more at an older crowd,

and, in my opinion, it does tend to drag a little bit.

But, if you're looking for something new,

unique, and creative for the Christmas season,

Chasing the Star is one to check out.

And it just so happens to be available

at christiancinema.com,

along with its sister film, Forty Nights.

They're both part of The Quest Trilogy,

and the final part of the trilogy,

The Christ Slayer, is set to release late 2018.

And if uniquely-told biblical epics piques your interest,

then you'll be excited to know

that the new trailer just dropped

for the upcoming Mary Magdalene biopic.

This movie looks really interesting.

It's got Rooney Mara playing Mary Magdalene

and Joaquin Phoenix playing Jesus.

The release date is set for March 30th, 2018,

and you can bet I'll be keeping you in the loop

as we learn more.

I gotta tell you, we here at Christian Cinema

just love Christmas.

That's why we're celebrating it

with our 12 Days of Christmas.

We've handpicked 12 Christmas movies just for you.

Just follow the link down below to sign up

and you'll receive emails over the next few weeks

telling you about all 12 of these movies.

And not only are we telling you

about 12 great Christian Christmas movies,

we're also giving you a little discount.

It is a 20% discount code for you to use

with your choice of any one of those 12 movies.

You don't wanna miss out on that,

so be sure to sign up in the link below,

or just type in ChristianCinema.com/12Days.

And if that's not enough savings for you,

well, it is time, well, yes, that's right,

this week's Christian Cinema Pic of the Week.

This will really get you in the Christmas spirit.

It is a movie that is called Christmas Grace.

Christmas Grace tells the story

of two rival store owners

over several Christmas seasons.

One's a small-town store owner,

the other is a ruthless businessman.

But, perhaps God's grace is bigger than both of them.

That's just something you'll have to find out

when you watch the movie.

Just type in the promo code GRACE20

at ChristianCinema.com/redeem to get 20% off your purchase.

Well, that's all I have for you this week.

Be sure to like this page if you wanna keep up

with the latest and greatest surrounding faith and film.

I'm Kevin, I'm gonna go drink some tea or something,

take care of this throat.

Thanks so much for bearing with me this week.

I'll talk to ya later, have a great week.

9 STRATEGIES TO REDUCE SUGAR CRAVINGS - Duration: 14:07.

And hello hello hello and welcome everyone. Today, I'm going to continue

sharing how to ditch the sugar from your diet, get healthy and lose weight at the

same time. This is approach number 4 - how to ditch the sugar cravings, this is a big

one. If you don't know me, I am Lilia, your fitness and nutrition expert and owner

and creator of ditch the diet studio, online and offline. Make sure you

watch this video to the end, where I give you the most important but simple and

easy steps to implement 9 strategies to reduce or completely eliminate your sugar cravings.

Ok, let's get started... We already covered 3 strategies.

Let's review them quickly. Strategy number one: give up sugary drinks.

Strategy number two: limit your fruits intakes and strategy number three: no low

fat crap. Now what if you cover all these strategies and you

still crave sugar here and there or on a regular basis, what can you do to reduce

or completely eliminate the sugar cravings? In today's video I will give

you 9 strategic and simple tips, how to ditch the sugar cravings forever.

First, I want you to look at your diet, what exactly do you eat every single day.

So, in many cases people crave sweets and sugar for a reason. It's because they

don't eat enough real food like food, I call from the nature - grains, fruits,

vegetables, like real stuff. If your diet is full of crap,

guess what you will crave? Crap! Make sense and one of them would be sugar.

When you eat not real food, you consume empty calories and your body doesn't get

enough nutrients, so your body is starving basically for real food and for

that reason you crave food and in many cases it's sugar because sugar gives

your body instant energy, just like that. And your body doesn't

understand that sugar is not good for you. Your body understands

that sugar will give instant energy. That's right obese

people they're starving and they're malnutrition, they're starving for food

and malnutrition, very sad. Today, I have a magic pill for you. You can

reduce or completely eliminate sugar cravings by balancing your blood sugar

level. And that's the key. If you know how to do that, that would become a magic pill,

you will reduce or eliminate your sugar craving completely. Let's get

started... Here are some tips I put for you, there are nine tips that if you try them

when you crave sugar they will help you big-time. Tip number one: reduce or

eliminate if you can go cold turkey, excuse me,

sugar in the morning. If you can not drink your morning

poison without sugar then start reducing sugar slow, nobody is telling you quit

cold-turkey, not many people can do that. So, reduce

slow one teaspoon less a week, until you completely eliminate or I replace

white sugar if you are using in your coffee or tea with natural sweeteners like

honey or maple syrup or coconut sap and then slowly reduce those too, at least

they are healthier version for you but they are still sugar in your blood. so but

If you can not eliminate completely then use Stevia but in moderation even

though it's a natural stuff, it's a little bit hard on

your digestive system, okay. so that is tip number two let's look at the tip

number two. When you start craving sugar,

before grabbing a cookie, drink a tall glass of water and wait

for 15 minutes. If you're still crave and your cravings didn't go away,

grab a piece of fruit. That would be your next option because fruit is sweet and

it will give you that sweet taste and hopefully your cravings will

go away. Tip number three. I tested many times this approach and it

always worked. The question is, what is opposite of sweet? Sour, right? Add sour

foods like lemon, limes, grapefruits, apple cider vinegar to your diet. I rarely drink

my water plane, I would say almost never, unless I'm not at home and I need water.

I start my day with a big tall glass of water, room temperature, with two

tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and two drops of essential lemon oil or

juice from the half lemon so then after that, I drink another tall glass of

water. My second half litre has lemon slices,

lime and ginger. So, by the time I start my day, I consume already one liter of

water. Try this approach, okay? Approach number four: don't starve

yourself. Try to prevent yourself from becoming too hungry between meals.

Keep your blood sugar level even and not skip meals. If you skip meals, you're in

trouble, your blood sugar in trouble. When you skip meals your blood

sugar drops too low and you crave sugary food because sugary food sugar, remember,

gives you instant energy. Make sure you have at least three big

meals and a good idea would be one or two snacks in between. So, in this case you

eat two and half, three and half hours in between and your blood sugar keeps

stable, it doesn't drop too low and then you will start craving simple carbs

like sugar because your blood sugar wanna come up to their normal level, okay?

Number five: start your day with breakfast but not any breakfast.

Breakfast has to have to be full of protein, like eggs, Greek yogurt or a

smoothie with protein powder. Make sure your smoothie doesn't

consists of a lot of fruits.Only one portion of fruit and I give you

example, one portion of fruit is a small banana which already has 24

to 25 grams of sugar or 1 cup of berries would be even better choice.

Number 6: get moving. This will serves you two things: first

you are keeping yourself away from the kitchen and fridge, right, so that's a

good one and the second, exercise will release endorphins some feel-good

chemicals in your brain which can help you to turn craving off.

Number 7: avoid excess stress and get enough sleep and a lot of people have

this problem. We are all stressed because of stress we don't sleep enough.

We don't sleep well. If you're sleep-deprived your body will crave more

sweets, sugar, simple carbs. Same as the sleep, avoiding stress can help prevent

cravings it's all about the blood sugar level. Try to take care of your

stress and your sleep. Number 8: try cinnamon, yes,

simple simple thing. Many people love cinnamon, so use it!

Studies show that cinnamon naturally

sweet spice can help keep blood sugar stable and this is a good news if you

crave sugar. So, sprinkle some on your breakfast or try even in your coffee in

the morning, that would be excellent so you will start your morning right, your

day right. Don't exceed more than 2 tbsp a day because then it can

become toxic in the body, yeah everything

in moderation. And my last tip: take chromium. Why chromium is related to

sugar cravings? Because the body uses chromium

to produce a substance that helps with sugar metabolism and blood sugar

balance. Again, see everything about the blood sugar and that will keep

your mood and appetite stable. There is one double-blinded study of 42

overweight women, I believe they were over 40, 50, so that age, they found

that chromium supplementation reduced sugar cravings, hunger levels and fat

cravings leading to of course losing weight and lower body weight. So, chromium

also improves the body response to insulin. In fact, the symptoms of a

chromium deficiency are similar to those with metabolic syndrome. How do you

know what is metabolic syndrome? The first sign is the body fat

accumulates around your waist which means around your organs.

So, chromium is found

in natural foods like onions, romaine lettuce, potatoes, tomatoes, beef and red

wine. I guess I am NOT deficient in chromium. If you choose to take

supplementation use chromium picolinate, that is the most

absorbable form of chromium and dosage should be around 200 to 600 msg.

Make sure to consult your doctor before you take any supplements.

That's all I have for you today. How to ditch sugar forever and

approach number four :how to reduce or completely eliminate sugar cravings. I

hope this information is useful, don't forget to like the video,

share with your friends and I see you with the last one approach number five, how

to ditch the sugar forever, lose weight, get healthy and all that good stuff. For

now, bye bye.

Wild coach Bruce Boudreau values connections to former players - Duration: 5:46.

Wild coach Bruce Boudreau values connections to former players

 – When hes back among the palm trees, sandy beaches and ocean breezes, Wild coach Bruce Boudreau doesnt have a favorite spot to revisit. But he still reminisces.

Boudreau flashes back to the people and experiences that filled the parts of five seasons he spent leading the Ducks before joining the Wild a year ago.

Hell catch up with employees at Honda Center on Friday when the Wilds three-game road trip continues against the Ducks, and chat with the same fans who filled the seats when he was behind the home bench.

Hes also reminded of the players he coached, but it doesnt take a pit stop in Anaheim or Washington, D. , for Boudreaus former pupils to cross his mind, because hes already keeping up to date on their careers.

I like to know what theyre doing and how theyre doing, Boudreau said. Although these players are no longer his responsibility, they were at one point.

And thats reason enough to still care. The people that you crossed paths with and what they became, he said, I think its really important. While he cant pinpoint just how many players hes mentored over the years, Boudreau recognizes the names.

Theyll stand out in a line in an article or pop up on the TV screen when hes watching hockey at home with his wife, Crystal, switching between games once a notification on Crystals smartwatch tells them a goal has been scored or a shootout is starting.

She has to record all her shows to watch them when Im not around, Boudreau said. Hockeys on all the time..

So hes aware of whats going on with Capitals superstar Alex Ovechkin — I know he got his 20th [goal Monday] night, Boudreau said. I know hes getting a little more gray..

But he also knows whats up with former players because they reach out to him — via Christmas cards, phone calls or in-person chats at the rink.

You know youve made a difference, and I guess thats what everyone wants in the world, Crystal said. They want to make a difference.. Ovechkin and his parents hugged Boudreau when they saw him at the All-Star Game last season.

Capitals center Nicklas Backstrom and his dad walked over to Crystal when they spotted her during a game in Anaheim during Boudreaus final season there.

And defenseman Mike Green, whom Boudreau coached when both were with the Capitals, contacted Boudreau before signing with the Red Wings in 2015. Green wanted to know what team Boudreau thought was the best fit among the ones he was considering.

A lot of ex-players reach out to him when theyre at a crossroads, Crystal said, because they know hell give them an honest opinion.

The goal is the same every year, to win, and while he has yet to capture a Stanley Cup, Boudreau has enjoyed success as a Jack Adams Award winner, the fastest to reach 400 wins in NHL history and the point percentage leader among active coaches.

Those statistics and accolades matter and will define his career, but theyre not the only legacy Boudreau is building.

Im really hoping when its all said and done that Ive impacted more people in a positive way than a negative way, he said. Sometimes the negative way you cant help because youve got to cut guys.

Youve got to do things for the benefit of the team that you dont necessarily like doing, but you have to do it or youre not the coach or youre not the person in charge.

Theres some really good people that this happens to, but you just hope in the end you were honest with them..

The Wild recalled center Joel Eriksson Ek from Iowa of the AHL on Wednesday. Eriksson Ek was assigned to the minors Nov. 21 to rebuild his confidence after contributing a goal and two assists in 20 games with the Wild.

The 20-year-old, who was the 20th overall pick in 2015, registered seven points (three goals) in seven games with Iowa. The Wild was off Wednesday and returns to practice Thursday.
