Every Rumored Feature on Lil Wayne's 'Tha Carter V' | Heavy.com
We're less than a week away from the release of Lil Wayne's anticipated album Tha Carter V.
The album has been in the works since 2013, and has been the victim of numerous delays and legal problems with Wayne's record label Cash Money.
It is currently scheduled to come out on Friday, September 21.
Given that the album has had five years to gestate and evolve, there are dozens of artists who are said to have contributed production and guest verses.
It's status as a mythic work has almost rivaled that of Dr.
Dre's Detox.
Now that we're on the brink of its release, however, we've decided to break down all the artists who are said to appear on the final tracklist.
Drake.
Drake and Lil Wayne have had a storied history together, with classics like "Love Me," "She Will," and "The Motto" to their name.
Drake was even featured on a pair of early promotional singles for the album: "Believe Me" and "Grindin'.".
While there's been tension between the other artists on the Young Money/Cash Money label, particularly with Birdman and Nicki Minaj, the relationship between Drake and Wayne has remained strong, and its safe to assume that the former will drop by for at least one verse.
Justin Bieber.
Rumors of a collaboration between Wayne and Justin Bieber date back to 2015, when rapper French Montana said that both he and Bieber would appear on the same track.
"I remember I was in the studio and I came by and we were doing a song with Justin Bieber for Carter V," he revealed to MTV News.
On September 14, a song titled "No Chill" was leaked online with both Bieber and Montana on the hook.
It's unclear whether the mastered version of the song will appear on the final tracklist.
Soulja Boy. .
In a 2015 interview with The Fader, Soulja Boy said that he also worked with Wayne and Bieber on the album. "We was doing some stuff for the Carter V.
We was down in Miami for a couple nights.
Every night we was in the studio doing different stuff," he said.
"I played him some stuff that I had, then we came up with this one record that was crazy.
The vibe was cool, everybody was in their creative zone." More recently, Soulja said that he contributed productions and vocals on "like three songs," and that he fully expects them to make the cut.
Kendrick Lamar.
Back when Kendrick Lamar was promoting his 2015 album To Pimp a Butterfly, he let slip that he was working on Tha Carter V. "Me and Wayne worked," he told 97.1 AMP Radio. "I don't know if it'll be on Tha Carter V, or it'll be a leak.
I've always been a fan of Wayne, so wherever it goes, it's all love with me.
I'm just honored to work with bro; he's always been an influential cat coming up.".
Last year, Martin Shkreli claimed that he got his hands on some of the tracks that Wayne and Lamar worked on, and previewed them online.
The tracks are tentatively titled "Mona Lisa" and "The Life of Mr Carter" and can be heard above.
Mannie Fresh. .
Wayne and Mannie Fresh go back to the late '90s, when they were part of the legendary group Hot Boyz.
Fresh has produced tracks on Wayne albums like 500 Degreez, Tha Block Is Hot and Tha Carter IV, and the trend looks as though it will continue with Carter V.
The duo posted several Instagram photos of themselves throughout 2014, all but guaranteeing that Fresh would be involved with the album in some capacity.
Big Sean.
Big Sean has cultivated a friendship with Wayne over the years, to the extent that Wayne let the younger emcee give an update on Tha Carter V during a 2017 interview.
"I'm one of the biggest Lil Wayne fans in the world, so you can just imagine what that feel like," he told MTV News.
"And that Carter V on the way too," he added.
"He told me to say that.
I just wanna see Wayne at his best." Wayne and Sean collaborated on the track "Mute," which leaked out during a DJ set on March 7, 2017.
Christina Milian.
Wayne and Christina Milian were said to be dating when Tha Carter V was originally slated for release, and the two collaborated on the promotional track "Start a Fire.
" During an interview with HipHopDX, Milian revealed that she's on other tracks on the album as well.
"He just goes into the studio and knocks it out and he's so clever," she said.
"I'm on a couple of records on Tha Carter V so of course I want it to come out because I want the world to hear it and I'm a supporter of him.".

Ways to Express Sympathy in the Event of a Tragedy - Duration: 5:39.
Today I'm going to talk to you about different ways
to express sympathy when there's a tragic or unfortunate event.
In this lesson, I will talk to you about some very, very useful expressions.
Now these expressions are to be used when somebody
close to you, or somebody you know, or somebody from work
is going through a rough time.
And these are things you can say to comfort a person,
express your concern, or just express your sympathy.
So something that I wanted to mention that is very
important, is that when somebody's going through a rough time or
when they're going through a loss, we want to make
sure that we have the right words to comfort this person.
We don't want to use something that can be potentially offensive.
So it's very important that you pay attention to the
context and that you say the right things.
I'm going to provide you kind of some of the context
that we can use these words in and what you should say.
So first I want to talk to you about smaller losses or problems.
If somebody is going through an issue
but that's not...it's not incredibly tragic.
So here's something you can say in this case.
Now this one is very general.
It can literally apply to almost any problem that somebody is going through.
Maybe they're having a rough patch in their relationship.
Or maybe they...
the situation at home is not good.
Or things that work a little bit difficult.
This can cover a whole lot of different things.
It just shows that you care and that you want this person to be better.
I hope things get better soon
Let's look at another one.
So this one is obviously a little bit more specific.
And it has to do with illness.
If somebody is going through an illness or through a sickness,
you can tell them that you hope they feel better.
Well I hope you feel better, Clark.
I hope you feel better Santa.
I hope that you feel better Gus.
Well then...
I hope you feel better.
Now again, something important to mention is
you shouldn't really say this to somebody who's going through a really bad illness or chronic illness.
Because they might not get better.
And it might be one of those things where it's just really inappropriate.
Only use it for illnesses where you know the person is going to recover.
Okay, so what do we say for even more serious illnesses, more serious problems, or even death?
Here are some things you can say.
The most common one by far is...
This one's very, very common and it can also be very professional.
If a co-worker or your boss or somebody at work
is going through a personal tragedy like a death.
We say "I'm sorry for your loss."
I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry for your loss.
I'm sorry for your loss.
My lady, I'm sorry for your loss.
It's very appropriate. It's not offensive.
And you can safely use it.
Now if somebody's going through something, and this doesn't have to be related to death,
but it can be it, is...
Now, many people, if they're religious and
if you know that the other person is religious as well
and they would benefit from this you can also add...
Otherwise you can just say "You are in my thoughts" or "I am thinking of you."
And this can mean if somebody's going through an illness, a serious illness,
or a personal problem, or tragedy, or a death.
You can say "You are in my thoughts."
This next one is only in case of death.
You can say...
Very important. You only say this if somebody had passed away.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences at this most difficult hour.
Please accept my sincere condolences for your father.
Please express my condolences to their families.
Mrs. Ostrova.
Please accept my condolences on behalf of the President and the people of the United States.
And that's the only time that it's appropriate to say this expression of sympathy.
Here's another one.
This again has to do with death, and it can be interchangeable
with some of the ones we've already said.
And the last one also relating to loss is...
And this one, just like the other ones, are expressions
that relate to to to a loss of life, to death.
Now what I wanted to say is that you can use a
combination of these or more than one of these
to express your sympathy to somebody.
So for example, you can say...
But you don't have to. You can use just one of these
and it will effectively convey the message that you're
trying to send, which is that you are thinking about this person in their time of need.
So I hope you really never have to use these expressions.
But the truth is that sometimes life is unexpected
and somebody that we know is going through a rough time.
And this is when this vocabulary will really, really come in handy.
It's very, very important that we have to find the right
words to comfort our friends and family and co-workers in their time of need.

What are good healthy breakfast options
when trying to lose weight?
Well, as I said any of your favourite food
can be modified into a healthy dish.
So even if you love a bowl of poha
make sure that you add veggies,
sprouts to it.
So a proper breakfast could be anything
it could be a paratha
but not only wheat flour
you can definitely add some oats or flaxseeds.
It could be paratha with curd very important.
So a hot paratha with a bowl of curd would work well.
It can be paratha, poha,
bowl of oats porridge with some raisins,
nuts, anything!
What is better for fat loss- low carb or low fat?
Well, for weight loss I think you don't need to go low carb
and you don't need to go low fat.
Moderation is the key.
But if you go very high on carbs and fat
that is also not a good thing.
So I would just say moderation is the way to go.
Many myths about cooking oil
which oil is good for cooking?
Well, cooking oil are the latest nutrition trend
where everybody is confused you know
and now they say cook in butter, cook in ghee
cook in coconut oil, cook in olive oil.
There's a full family of oils out there.
So I would personally say that
cook in ghee why not?
Not in every meal because you have to keep your
fat intake in check.
So use your normal, local oil like
Kashmiris use mustard oil,
South Indians use coconut oil,
and so many of these oils
don't have any adverse effects
because I have seen it in my cients
so the only thing I would like to say
is cook in your local oils.
And if you're a punjabi and love ghee
you can definitely use maybe half or one tsp
of ghee to cook in.
But coming to olive oil
I would not recommend to cook in.
It helps you lose weight but
olive oil once heated the smoking point increases
nullifying all it's benefits.
You can drizzle some but again
maybe I would just say
why waste your fat intake in a salad
then you rather have a bit of the cake.

FabScraps Film Friday Easy Gift Card Envelope with stencil - Duration: 5:41.
Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room and welcome to my channel
In this video I'm going to make a gift card envelope with Fabscraps paper and stencil
I'm going to do something different today with the envelope stencil
the first part is just like I would normally do
just draw the bottom part and then score the fold lines
by the way I added the products I used in the description box for you and
if you are new here don't forget to subscribe
this line I'm going to mark with a pencil
I would not normally do this but I need it for the next step so it visible
now I'm going to make another panel above the first one
and I am going to draw the little lines up too so I have 2 extra guidelines
here I have the pencil line and I put the stencil score line just a little above that
make sure it's straight so the envelope doesn't go wonky
draw the score lines on the sides for this part I will cut them
we don't need the flaps
make second score line at the top and then
draw the top of the stencil for the flap
and then I cut it out
I'm going to fold all the score lines and burnish
if it's not quite straight between the lines you can still move it a bit before you fold
there are different ways to close the envelope you can add Velcro or a magnet
or you can make a closing like I will show you
I inked all edges and the seams of the envelope
on all sides I cut this little card and I tape that to the base
I also cut a circle and I want to use the
heart for the closing first I tape my circle to the envelope
I embossed the heart with WOW embossing powder and I want a bit more of a pink colour
And I'm going to use memento luxe for that I just rub some ink on the heart it gives
a real subtle colour and then I heat set it
I'm going to glue the bottom part of the heart to the envelope
and then after drying I can tuck the circle under the heart
going to add some dots with nuvo crystal drops
I make a simple card for the inside and
you can put a message on that or add a gift card

Well I was thinking the other day, I really haven't taken any of you on a field trip.
A field trip is when a teacher takes students somewhere outside of the classroom.
Normally you would learn in a classroom, but sometimes the teacher will take students somewhere
and that's called a field trip.
So today I thought we would go on a field trip to the supermarket or what we usually
call in English the grocery store.
Let me get my keys!
So in English we generally use the term, "grocery store".
We don't often use the term, "supermarket" I know supermarket is quite common in other
languages, in French we say, "supermarché" but in English we don't often say supermarket.
It is an English word but we usually say grocery store.
And you could say for instance, "I have to stop at the grocery store."
You could say, "I need to pick up some groceries."
You could say, "I need to go to the grocery store."
And you could also say, "I need to go grocery shopping."
So that's pretty common.
I need to get some food, so I'm going to go grocery shopping.
So let's head over there!
Well we made it, I'm at my local grocery store and I thought I would take you guys
inside and we'll look at each section of the grocery store and I'll kind of tell
you what the name of the section is, and some of the items that you can buy there.
So let's go on inside.
One of the first things we're gonna need is a shopping cart otherwise known as a grocery
cart.
Let's grab one from right here.
Now we're ready.
The very first section of the grocery store that you'll see, especially in a Canadian
grocery store is the produce section.
So the produce section is the section where you'll find fruits, the kinds of things
that grow on trees like apples, oranges, bananas.
By the way if you are from a country that produces bananas just a big, "THANK YOU!"
from me I love bananas.
I eat one everyday.
But yeah you can see the sign up here we're in the produce section so you're gonna find
a lot of fruit.
You're also gonna find a lot of vegetables.
You're gonna find things like carrots and cucumbers and broccoli and those kinds of
things.
So first section you usually see - the produce section.
Lots of fruits.
Lots of vegetables.
Let's move on to the deli section.
The next section you'll usually find in a Canadian grocery store is the deli section.
And the deli section is where you would find what we call luncheon meat or deli meat or
sliced meat.
And this is the kind of meat that you buy pre-sliced so that you can put them on sandwiches
or buns or subs - sub sandwiches.
So the deli section is things like ham, things like bologna, and things like oven roasted
chicken or oven roasted turkey.
So that's the deli section.
The next section you'll usually find in the grocery store is the bakery section.
The bakery section has things like loaves of bread.
The bakery section would have fresh baked buns, fresh baked bread, things like french
bread.
As well as yummier things to eat like cakes, maybe muffins, and maybe croissants.
Another section you'll find in the grocery store is the dairy section.
The dairy section has all things that would come from cow milk, goat's milk, or sheep
milk.
So here you'll find things like milk, you'll find things like butter, and you'll find
things like cheese.
Another section at the grocery store is the frozen food section.
In the frozen food section you'll find things like frozen pizzas.
You'll find ice cream.
You'll find frozen fruits and frozen vegetables.
So all of the parts of the grocery store that we have visited are on the outside walls of
the grocery store.
Those sections are on the perimeter, the outside walls of the store but in the inside of the
store are aisles like this and these are aisles of things like cookies, things like bottled
juice, things like canned goods and there is usually these really nice signs above each
aisle you can see them here that help you know what's in each aisle.
Well hey that was a quick tour of the grocery store.

Why don't all Airbnb hosts hire professional house cleaners?
Oh, that is a great question, and we're going to talk about that today.
Hi there, I'm Angela Brown and this is Ask A House Cleaner.
This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question
and I get to help you find an answer.

If you are an Airbnb host or a vacation rental by owner and you change your mind, and you
don't want to do it yourself anymore, you can find house cleaners on HouseCleaning360.com
And, it's a great resource for you because you can also find gutter cleaning and landscapers
and carpet cleaners and window washers, and a whole bunch of other partners that partner
with Airbnb's and vacation rental business owners.
So the reality is, and this goes back to a question from a house cleaner who's trying
to get in the Airbnb space and keeps running into Airbnb owners who are like,
"No, we do our own cleaning,"
and she wants to know why don't all Airbnb owners or hosts
hire professional house cleaners.
The reality is this.
Some of them are just getting started in the business, and as they're getting started in
the business, in order to be competitive across the board, they've had to bring the rates
of their rooms down per night.
Now an Airbnb, if you're new to the concept, it's people renting rooms of their house out.
Instead of other people going to a hotel, they would come stay at your house.
It's like couch surfing but at a professional level.
You are opening your own little bed and breakfast except you might still live there.
If you still live there, you have a room or two that you're renting.
Now another alternative is a vacation rental by owner.
Similar concept but you're renting out the entire house.
The reality is, if you drop the price of the nights down so that you are lower than a hotel,
right now there may be off-seasons.
In the city you live in, the hotel nights might be $69 a night, which is super cheap.
If you're going to compete with that, you might have to come down to $59 a night.
If you have a two-night minimum, you're talking about $120 that you're going to make off of
a customer that comes and stays with you.
So $120, and then you have a house cleaner that says, "Oh, I have a $100 minimum for
my cleaning."
Is the Airbnb owner, and you have to ask this question realistically, are they going to
open up their home and be there at a certain time and make everything nice and special
and have little gifts and trinkets and create this ambiance, and do all of this stuff for
the host and deal with the ratings interviews and the customer service and the complaints
and all of that stuff, only to make $20 for the stay?
Because they've turned around and given $100 of that to the cleaning person.
The reality is no, they're not.
There are Airbnb hosts that have decided they themselves will do the cleaning because their
profit margin is not high enough that it merits hiring an outside company to come in.
That is the biggest reason right there.
The next reason is quality control, because there are a lot of house cleaners, and as
you know, in the industry there is no standard of house cleaning.
Some house cleaners are superb at what they do and some are very sloppy.
You just don't know who you're hiring.
If somebody comes in and says, "Well I'll do this for $25," are you hiring the sloppy
guy or are you hiring the spectacular company that just has super low prices?
It's hard to know.
If you take a risk on someone and somebody comes in and they clean for you, what happens
now is you still have to come in after they've cleaned and you have to do a walkthrough of
the entire premise that the hotel guest is going to be staying at because you have to
make sure that they weren't sloppy and that they didn't leave something or skip something
in the process.
That requires time and energy for them to come back and double check your work.
They might as well do it themselves, and then they know they did it right the first time.
There's a quality control issue.
There are also Airbnb owners who like to meet the guests.
It's one of the secrets of being a Superhost.
If you meet the guest and they see you face to face, now they have a face to put with
that property.
You can share short stories of how you built the place and what it means to you.
In your description online, there should already be that in your breakdown about what your
house means to you and why it's so special.
But if you get a chance, you can do that in person face to face.
Now, the guests that are staying with you feel like, "Oh, I really like this person.
They're so cool.
So I want to give them a five-star rating and I want to come back and I want to stay
with them next time I'm in this town."
You create this alliance with your Airbnb guests.
By hiring a house cleaner that's going to come and let the person in, it takes something
away from that, so they don't get the direct feedback of a customer coming in for the first
time and seeing the place and they go, "Oh wow, this is so beautiful.
Oh check out that view."
Right?
Now you know as an Airbnb host that the view is really important to the customers.
Or the customer may come in and go, "Wow, look at that widescreen TV."
Now you're like, "Oh yeah, kudos for me buying the big TV."
They get that immediate feedback from the customers that may never show up on a rating
and review.
That is one of the reasons that they don't hire a professional house cleaning company.
If you're trying to break into that space and you are a professional house cleaning
company, my suggestion would be you have to follow Airbnb listings.
You have to know in your area what people are charging.
What is the going rate for a night?
Because your cleaning price has to come in well under that in order for you to get the
consistent turnover business.
Now turnover business is where a customer leaves and you have to reset the place for
the next person that's checking in.
If somebody has a two-night minimum, it's possible you would clean the same place three
times in the course of a week.
You have to figure out, I'm going to be making this amount of money three times this week
if I get this account.
Sometimes it's only two times a week, sometimes it may be only be once a week.
But you have to figure out your pricing so that it's fair to the Airbnb owner who has
to play fair across the board with everyone else in their market that's competing with
them, and also the hotels.
Because they're not just competing with other Airbnb's, they're also competing with hotel
prices.
Because we all know that for so much money, and there's a magic number, I don't know what
it is, people are willing to spend the night.
If they're looking for cheap, they're going to be looking for something that's less than
the regular hotel prices.
If the price is not fair to the Airbnb owner, they're not going to hire you.
No matter what, they're just not.
They will force themselves to do the cleaning.
Now there are Airbnb hosts that get to a certain moment in their life, they're like, "Ah, this
is a lot of cleaning.
I can't do this three times a week," or once a week or whatever.
Then they do hire a company.
But that's usually after they've built their business, they've got their ratings and reviews.
They know exactly how long it takes.
They're very specific about what they're looking for.
Then they hire a cleaning company and they want you to become their partner.
The partner means they can count on you under all circumstances.
You're not a fly by night where, oh, I can clean this time and I can't clean next time.
They're looking for somebody that can come in and do this on a regular basis, which is
one of the reasons why Airbnb owners have a tendency not to hire professional house
cleaning companies.
They hire individuals.
They hire stay at home moms whose kids are in the school during the day
who can come over.
The mom has to be there when the kids leave in the morning.
They got to be there when the kids get off the bus.
But the mom can be there from noon when checkout happens, all the way up until 2:30 when she
turns the place over to the next person, and the next person comes in at 3:00.
Then they'll use something like a lockbox or the owner will come back over and make
sure that the guest is let in.
They will train a mom or they will train a student or an actor, or somebody like that
that doesn't have a whole full-fledged cleaning business just to come in, and on a retainer
fee, and it might be one flat fee for the entire month, whether it's three cleanings
a week or with these one cleaning a week, they will just for a flat fee hire a person
that says, "Hey, I know I can count on this extra $500 a month if I come in however many
times they need me."
Then that person just stays at their house on the days they're not needed.
Then when they're called over, they just run over and they clean a house.
It might take two and a half hours.
That's typically what happens when the Airbnb owner is getting ready to outsource the cleaning
because it's become too much for them.
That's kind of how that works.

Today we will talk about, 15 Terrifying and Little Known Prehistoric Monsters.
Who hasn't heard of a tyrannosaurus Rex or a velociraptor thanks to movies like Jurassic
Park?
When we think of dinosaurs, we almost all think of a very small subset of these giant
creatures from history.
But perhaps more interesting are those which are far less familiar to us all.
This list is just a small selection of monstrous or weird-looking creatures from ancient times,
most of which are little known to the public.
15.
Estemmenosuchus.
They don't make animals like this anymore.
Estemmenosuchus is one of the most bizarre-looking prehistoric monsters; it belonged to the group
of the dinocephalians, and despite their dinosaur-like appearance, they were actually more closely
related to mammals… including us!
Estemmenosuchus was the size of a rhinoceros, and it too had a horn on its nose, but it
also had antler-like horns on the top of its head, and strange, bony protrusions coming
out of its cheeks; no one knows what they were used for.
It also had a set of monstrous, sharp teeth, but scientists aren't sure about its food
preferences.
Personally, I believe this thing was big and scary enough to eat anything it wanted.
Fossil remains of Estemmenosuchus have been found in Russia; it lived in the Permian period,
long before the appearance of dinosaurs.
14.
Acrophyseter.
This was an ancient relative of today's sperm whale, which as we all know (or should
know) is huge, eats lots of squid and has never been known to attack humans without
provocation.
Acrophyseter was the complete opposite; it was moderately sized, and didn't feed on
squid but rather on other marine mammals and even on sharks!
Its horrible-looking teeth were deadly weapons and have given Acrophyseter and its ancient
relatives the nickname of "killer sperm whales".
Acrophyseter's fossil remains have been found in Peru; it lived in the Miocene period,
which seems to have been the best epoch for scary marine monsters including giant dolphins,
colossal sharks and even monster penguins and seals.
13.
Gigantopithecus.
It's name says it all; it was a monstrous ape, closely related to the orangutan, that
roamed the bamboo forests, jungles and mountains of China, India and Vietnam during the Pleistocene.
It was a vegetarian, but scary nonetheless; it could grow up to three meters tall and
weigh up to 550 kgs!
Its strength must have been extraordinary and probably kept it safe from most predators.
It finally went extinct 300.000 years ago, possibly due to overhunting by early human
species or as the result of climate change.
Of course, all yeti and bigfoot believers like to think that Gigantopithecus survived
somehow in the most remote parts of the Himalaya…

Epicyon.
Epicyon could well be described as a giant pitbull on steroids.
It was a member of the Canidae or dog family, but whereas modern day canids are built for
speed and endurance, Epicyon was built for brute strength, and had jaws so powerful that
they could crush bone as if they were crackers!
This beast ruled the plains of North America for fifteen million years, before it was replaced
by big cats (including sabertooths).
11.
Edestus.
Today's great white shark probably has some of the most nightmarish set of teeth in Nature,
but its distant prehistoric relative Edestus was so scary that it would make the great
white look almost cute.
Edestus was about seven meters long and was one of the top predators of the Carboniferous
seas.
However, scientists still don't know how it used its extraordinary teeth; instead of
constantly losing the worn out teeth and replacing them with the new ones growing in rows behind,
as modern day sharks do, Edestus didn't lose its teeth at all; instead, the new teeth
pushed the old teeth out of the mouth and, eventually, the gums and teeth would protrude
out of the mouth like a pair of monstrous scissors.
Regardless of how it did it, it seems obvious that Edestus could possibly cut any other
creature in two with ease.
But we still have trouble to imagine how a very old Edestus would "function", or
even how would it look!
10.
Gorgonopsid.
This creature has earned some popularity recently thanks to the British sci fi show "Primeval",
where it was the very first monster to appear.
Although real life gorgonopsids where a tad smaller than the TV version (the largest species,
such as Inostrancevia and Leontocephalus, could grow up to six meters long), they were
just as terrifying; as a matter of fact, they were the dominant predators during the late
Permian, before dinosaurs and their relatives took over.
Gorgonopsids had a set of deadly saber-teeth (some species had two sets of them) which
came handy when hunting some of the largest Permian herbivores, often the size of rhinos
or bigger.
They were quite agile and could probably run quite fast, unlike the predators that came
before them.
Despite their reptilian appearance, gorgonopsids were actually closely related to mammals,
and it is even possible that they were covered in fur!
9.
Terror bird.
Terror birds, formally known as Phorusrhacids, were the top predators in South America and
parts of North America during the Miocene, Pliocene and Early Pleistocene periods, before
they were replaced by big cats and other carnivorous mammals.
They were unable to fly, but could run very fast (as fast as a cheetah, according to some
scientists!) and were very large; the largest species could grow up to three meters tall
and weigh up to half a ton.
Their main weapon was their head, which could be up to one meter long, allowing them to
swallow prey as large as a dog in one single gulp!
However, thanks to the hooked tip of the bill, similar to that of eagles and hawks, the terrors
birds could kill and devour prey much larger than a dog, including horses, camels, etc.
8.
Madtsoia.
Madtsoia would be the worst nightmare of anyone with a phobia of snakes.
Although only fragmentary remains are known, it is claimed to have reached the immense
length of 15-20 meters!
This creature appeared in the Cretaceous period and possibly dined on dinosaurs.
It was similar to today's boas and pythons in that it was not venomous, but rather squeezed
its victims to death using its immense muscular strength.
Madtsoia was such a successful predator, that it managed to survive the extinction that
wiped out dinosaurs and other animals, but it finally went extinct about 45 million years
ago.
Other giant snakes are known to have existed, including one that was said to reach 29 meters
in length!
7.
Purussaurus.
Purussaurus was a gigantic caiman (a relative to alligators) that lived in what is today
known as the Amazonian rainforest.
Back in Purussaurus' days, 8 million years ago, that region was actually a vast inland
sea teaming with crocodiles, gharials, fresh water whales, giant rodents and enormous turtles.
Purussaurus was the top predator in that sea, and with good reason; at 12-15 meters long,
maybe more, it was one of the largest crocodilians ever to have existed.
The remains of other animals missing limbs or bitten in half are a macabre proof of this
giant caiman's appetite.
6.
Entelodon.
Although pigs, wild boars and warthogs today are known to eat meat on occasion, they are
basically vegetarian.
On the other hand, the Entelodon, a prehistoric pig relative, was a full time carnivore and
possibly one of the most monstrous-looking mammals ever.
Standing on all fours, this beast was as tall as a man, and had an immense head armed with
powerful jaws and sharp teeth.
Scientists believe that it was able to hunt live prey, but that it also scared other predators
away from their kills (which should have been very easy).
Its bite marks also suggest that it fought viciously with its own kind, and it is even
possible that Entelodonts were cannibalistic.
Entelodons were quite successful beasts, existing for about 9 million years.
5.
Azhdarchid.
Azhdarchids were a kind of pterosaur (most popularly known as pterodactyls) which included
the largest flying creatures ever to have existed.
Some of them had wingspans of 12 to 15 meters, making them as large as a small plane (although
they were obviously not as heavy).
But what makes Azhdarchids really strange are their body proportions; they had ridiculously
long legs, necks and beaks, and very small bodies, as well as relatively short wings.
Scientists believe that they did not hunt on the wing, but rather walked on the ground
hunting for any animal they could catch and swallow whole- that included dog-sized, perhaps
even man-sized creatures!
Standing on all fours, the largest Azhdarchids were as tall as a modern day giraffe… and
almost as tall as a T-Rex.
4.
Pulmonoscorpius.
This is by far the smallest creature of the list, but it would still cause hysteria, and
perhaps even some heart attacks, if it showed up today.
It was very similar to today's scorpions but could grow up to one meter long, perhaps
more, and was armed with sharp chelae (claws) and a venomous stinger.
Of course, we don't know how toxic its venom was, but considering the considerable amount
it injected with each attack, it was most likely a very deadly critter indeed.
A predator, Pulmonoscorpius roamed the swampy forests of the Carboniferous in what is today
Scotland.
Just so you know, during the Carboniferous there were also giant roaches the size of
house cats, dragonflies the size of hawks, and centipede-relatives up to three meters
long.
No kidding.
3.
Xenosmilus.
Since the formidable Smilodon (better known as saber-toothed tiger) is too well known,
we have decided to go for a refreshing change.
Enter Xenosmilus, possibly the nastiest feline ever to have existed.
The remains of this very large cat (the size of a lion or tiger, but more robust) were
recently found in Florida along with the remains of many unlucky giant peccaries (similar to
wild pigs) that fell prey to it.
Instead of strangling prey or breaking their neck as lions do, or stabbing them as the
sabertoothed tiger did, Xenosmilus acted more like a shark or a carnivorous dinosaur, biting
off a huge chunk of flesh and causing massive blood loss and shock in a matter of seconds.
Compared to modern day felids, a Xenosmilus' kill would probably be extremely bloody; so
much in fact that it would probably not be shown in Animal Planet!
Since we don't know when exactly Xenosmilus became extinct, we can't tell if humans
ever met this cat, or fell prey to it.
2.
Megalodon.
This is a fairly well known prehistoric monster, but it is just so big and scary that it deserves
to be in this list.
Megalodon (technically called a Carcharocles megalodon) was a gigantic shark, closely related
to today's makos and great whites.
It could grow up to 20 meters long and weigh up to 60 tons, being almost six times larger
than Tyrannosaurus rex!
Obviously, the only thing in the sea big enough to feed Megalodon where whales, and indeed,
the giant shark's bite marks have been found in the fossil remains of whales all around
the world.
Although many people like to imagine encounters between Megalodon and T-Rex, or dinosaur-like
marine reptiles, the truth is Megalodon appeared long after the extinction of such creatures,
and it wasn't seen alive by any humans either, although it was still roaming the oceans when
our australopithecine relatives took their first steps out of the jungle.

Spinosaurus.
When Jurassic Park III was released in 2001, many people complained that the beloved lawyer-eating
T-Rex had been replaced with a "made up" dinosaur.
In reality, Spinosaurus did exist… and it was indeed bigger than T-Rex.
The remains of this enormous predator where found in Egypt in 1915, and the paleontologist
who studied them was already convinced that it was bigger than T-Rex.
However, this couldn't be proved as the fossils were sadly destroyed in a bombing
during WWII.
Recently, however, new fossils have been found, and Spinosaurus was finally declared to be
the largest carnivorous dinosaur of all times.
This beastie could grow up to 17 or 18 meters long, weigh up to 10 tons and had a sail on
its back taller than an adult man.
Its long, crocodile-like snout suggests that it spend a long time in the water and possibly
ate lots of fish… but also crocodiles, giant turtles, and any dinosaur unlucky enough to
cross its path.
Even though T-Rex will probably always be the most popular prehistoric monster of all
times, Spinosaurus is, and remains, the largest predator ever to walk the Earth… that we
know of.

Today I'm going to show you a simple soda bread recipe
Being a soda bread does not require any yeast waiting time
Because I will be using 100% wholemeal flour the bread will come out a bit moist and crumbly compared to bread made using white flour
It is very suitable for weaning babies and especially for those who are teething
There is another video in my channel on baby breakfast ideas
One of them is scambled eggs, which the soda bread will go really well with
The bread is good for the whole family, not just for babies
The bread can be sliced up and be eaten as toasts in the morning,
or eaten like canapes topped with tomatoes, cheese, cucumbers etc.
Hence soda bread is very versatile bread indeed!
First, pre-heat oven to 190C
175g Wholemeal flour
20-30g porridge oats
30g raisins
1/2 tsp baking soda
150ml natural yoghurt or buttermilk in another container
Beat the egg into the container and mix well with the yoghurt
Combine the dry and wet ingredients together using a fork
Using your hands, shape the dough into a ball
Flour the baking tray so the bread will not get stuck to it after baking
Flour your hands, pick up the dough and place it on the baking tray
Place the tray into the oven for approximately 30mins
