This video is very nice.
I'm with ma'am Jozelle Tech
She's a PWD
The best work for her
is work at home
because she can't walk
But it's nice here
we're positive about it
She's able to work online
she's a freelancer
She's also a Youtuber
Her channel's link
is in the description box of our video
She also has home-based jobs tips there
and tips for PWD
The topics that we'll discuss here
are about the equipment she's using
in her online job
She's a graphic designer
How much she's earning?
and the programs that you should learn
if ever you want to be a graphic designer like her
That can be learned
that's not just an in-born talent
or anything
That can be learned
Before we start
since a lot used my referral code
in freenet
Let's give away the load I got
from my referrals
So, 600 load

What you need to do first
is to like the video
second, comment in the comment section
on what you think
how long
will Cardo's show last?
How many years or months?
I'm with ma'am Jozelle
She's a Youtuber
She's also a graphic designer
She's a PWD
but she's able to work
at home
We are not belittling PWDs
but the point of this is
even PWDs
you can earn money
I mean, you can have a job
So, ma'am Jozelle,
introduce yourself please
Hi, guys
I'm a PWD
freelancer
My main job
is as a graphic designer
Mainly, for
web,
digital designs,
like banners,
for social media,
websites,
I'm also doing
logo designs for different
companies or brands
Okay, so,
when we say website,
are referring to the background of website,
or pictures that their website contains?
Usually,
it's the main design of the website
the front-end of it
I'm the designer for that
then,
we have a particular
developer
We are working together
to create the whole website
Okay, then for social media,
you're also working on that, right?
Usually,
advertisements,
for example, there's a product to be promoted,
we are the ones who will do
the graphics of that
for them to promote it.
The ones you'll see
like ads
that have designs
We are the ones doing the advertisements
I am designing that
and then it'll be uploaded
by the social media manager
Okay. So,
is it in Facebook,
Instagram, or everything?
For everything
but most of the time
they're being used for IG,
(Instagram)
Facebook, and for Twitter
What are the types of design
that you're doing?
Lately,
what I'm doing
are logo design,
apparel designs,
For apparel,
since Merch is trending today,
Oh, yeah, the Merch
So, there are lots
who are asking for tshirt designs
then they'll sell that
Usually, logo and merch
I'm doing that
from scratch
Hmm, from scratch.
Because, umm,
Of course,
for identity
and then
since merch is for selling,
so, it really needs
most of the time, to be from scratch
If ever you're getting from photo stocks,
it should be edited atleast
like it's you who really made the design
I think, the most famous
that they're requesting for
are marketing designs
Marketing designs
Like for Ecommerce, when they're promoting
their products,
James: Like launching products
Jozelle: Yes, hmm mm.
What's the difference
between design from scratch
and stock photos?
Design from scratch,
basically,
you will be drawing
Jozelle: You'll make from-
James: Basically, you'll be drawing.
Yes, from scratch
James: As in from nothing or blank
Jozelle: Yeah, blank canvass
in your illustrator
photoshop
then you'll draw like shapes,
lines,
James: Ah, so, you're really drawing it
Jozelle: Yeah, using mouse
but most of the time,
it's actually better if you have a tablet
Especially if your hand is really
good in doing freehand drawing
but for me,
I'm not doing freehand that much
I just have a basic knowledge about it
But for me, I do it directly in the Illustrator
or doing it in Photoshop directly
James: Like doing the design?
Jozelle: Yeah, directly.
For example, for logo,
I'll do shapes,
or I'll combine all the lines
or whatever graphics I want to make
until I'd be able to create my own design
How about from stock photos?
If it's from stock photos,
Usually, what I'm using,
if not the free websites
like Pixabay
James: Yeah, Pixabay
It's very popular
because it's really free
You can use it anywhere
and you don't need to add credits
If not there,
because the stock photos there are limited
James: Yeah, just a few, just a few.
I am also getting
photos or editable files
from other websites
then usually, I pay for that
charges there are usually monthly
Then that's unlimited
no matter how many times you use it or anywhere
James: As long as you'll pay monthly
And then, from that,
from that website,
you'll take the photos
James: You'll get photos
Jozelle: Yes
photos or even PSD
or AI files
those that you can readily edit
in your software
then you'll just change it
like you can change the color,
James: like the shades
shades, colors,
and then the texts
James: So, it's like you're only editing
Jozelle: Yes.
So, some also just combine them, right?
Yes. Sometimes, what I do
I'll get three different stock designs,
or photos,
I'll combine them all
so, it's like you made your own design
Just make sure
that your client knows that you're doing it that way
James: So, you need to tell them about that
Because there are clients
who want an original
there are also clients
that's okay with it and wants you to take care of it
James: So, that's for stock photos.
[music]
What are the softwares
that you are using as a graphic designer?
What I usually use
is Adobe
Adobe Photoshop,
Illustrator,
and In design
James: In design?
But the most handy for me
is Photoshop
because I've been using it for more than a decade already
So, like when I was still in high school
the very first versions of it
I'm already using it
Because in Photoshop,
you can already do a lot
from prints,
for web,
You can do everything there
James: It's like all in one
Not only photo editing
and photo manipulation
if you know how to photoshop,
somehow, you'll also be able to unedstand
Illustrator and Indesign
although they're different
in keys,
James: Shortcuts
Jozelle: Yes, like those.
They also has different ways
but there are similarities too
James: James same.
The jobs they do are somehow the same
Why are we using Adobe Illustrator
rather than Photoshop?
What's the difference?
For me,
What I think is
Adobe Illustrator
is for vector
like you'll be doing-
James: Ah, wait ma'am, it's like in vector
you can enlarge where-
Jozelle: It'll not be pixelated
James: It'll not become ugly
Jozelle: It'll not be blurry
James: Okay, okay.
You can really do shapes there
because it's tools
are really for vectors
So, there are tools there for shapes
that is easier to do
or to draw
Illustrator is the best
for logos
or even for print designs
because you can enlarge it
James: Hmm, yes.
If in Photoshop,
prints are also okay
but what you'll do there
is to set the resolution to high
James: Hmm, okay.
There's still a tendency
for it to slow down
because it's not that capable
to do that for the actual file
But for AI file
or in Illustrator,
it's automatically for that
for enlargement
James: Okay.
So, how abut InDesign?
What's the difference of it from the two?
InDesign, most of the time
is for prints
like brochures,
magazines,
Because in InDesign
it has presets
James: Presets for magazine?
Jozelle: Yes
Like for the shapes of catalogs,
for brochures,
If you put it there,
you'll have a preset to use
and then
it's easier because there's a template
James: There's already a template
That's for InDesign
So, there are 3, guys
Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Illustrator
and Adobe InDesign
Is InDesign also Adobe?
Jozelle: Yes, Adobe.
James: Indesign is also Adobe
So, ma'am is using three softwares
other than that,
as a graphic designer,
are there anything else that you also use?
Most of the time, those are what I'm using
James: Those are for creating designs
or for finish product
that's what you're really using in your work
Jozelle: Yes
That's really it
and usually, that's what really is required
James: Ah, that you know to do?
Jozelle: Yes, that's a primary requirement
Photoshop and then
it's like-
James: Bonus.
Jozelle: -that you know Illustrator
and InDesign
But there are also some who use Corel Draw
I tried that before
although-
James: Coral Draw?
Jozelle: Corel Draw.
James: Corel Draw?
Jozelle: Hmm mm.
It's like that too
It's like Photoshop
but I didn't really use it
when I was still studying
I mainly used Photoshop
in Adobe
And in Adobe,
it upgrades every year
James: Yes, yearly it has
new versions
like 2017, 2015
Okay ma'am, how about rates?
How much are they paying you?
Give us an idea
about the ranges as a graphic designer
It depends on
the skills
As for me,
I've been working online for 9 years already
so, my experience is already quite wide
and also my skills
It'll range from
$8 to $20
James: Dollars.
$8 to $20
That's USD
But sometimes, I'm also taking
$7
usually, for full-time
or requires lots of time
but sometimes,
I am not paid per hour
I am project-based
which is I preferred more
James: So, for graphic designers,
There's per hour
and there's also project-based
So, what's the usual, ma'am?
that they prefer?
Honestly, it's like
just equal portion
Because there are really some
who wants per hour
Then there's some
who wants per project
so, they can just have a budget
Like here's the budget
James: Like this is my budget
Jozelle: Yes, like this is my budget
is this okay with you? Like that.
I mainly prefer
project-based
because at least, I already know how much I'll get from that
Because if it's per hour,
James: You can finish it earlier.
Jozelle: Yes, like sometimes if I finish it early,
then,
James: It's just for a few hours.
Jozelle: Yes, the hours are just few
because since I've been designing for quite long now,
I can make the designs faster
James: As a quality product.
A product with quality
Jozelle: Yes, of course, it should be nice
and with quality
not just for the sake of doing so
James: So, that's it guys,
if you're working online
you are not paid
for nothing
of course a company is paying us
so of course,
if we gave work to others
for our clients,
it should pass quality
It's like for international standard
So, that's it guys
Always remember that there should be quality
Jozelle: It should always be quality
and then,
if you can finish it faster
then that's better
although,
the cons there
if you're being paid per hour,
then you can do a quality design quick,
design with quality,
James: It's like it's not fair.
Jozelle: That's a bit not fair
because you're client is already happy
James: But you're unhappy [laughs]
Jozelle: Because
you really know in yourself
that what you created is really nice
then you'll just get a few amount
like for example, it's $10 per hour,
you only did it for 5 hours,
so, that's for $50
That's already okay
but if your design
is really for high quality,
It's really for high quality
like it's really nice
that you think it costs more than that rate,
it's better if it's in project-based
like if ever if the client's budget for that
is $250
then it's better
to ask, how much is your budget for this?
$250, okay. I'll do this
for you for $250
Usually, the project-based
clients
They are not-
how can I say it?
They don't mind
on how long you'll do it
What's important
is for them to be happy on the result
James: If it's nice
Jozelle: They should like the result
that's what's important there
You don't need to-
in project-based,
you don't need to say
that, oh, I did that for 2 hours
[laughs]
As long as they liked what you did,
that's good
For project-based,
there will be time limit, right?
On when you should submit it
Jozelle: Yes, there is.
There's a due date
like 2 weeks,
one week,
how many days,
Usually,
what I do,
for example,
most of the time my designs are
that are project-based
are logos.
What I'll say is,
"I will send you the first draft
after three days
or five days
So, I'll give them the proposal
after that,
what are the revisions
that are needed?
because usually I do 3 studies
James: Sorry, three what?
Jozelle: Three studies
so, they can have choices
James: Like three types of logos?
Jozelle: Yes
Like for example,
I'll create a logo,
in three concepts
James: Hmm, okay, okay.
Jozelle: So, they'll have choices
and I also give them color
and font style choices
so, they'll choose from there
that's for the first draft
Then after that,
they will return it to me,
they'll give
their feedback
then I'll do it till we finish
the project eventually
James: So, that's for project-based
You preferred project-based, right?
Yes, in terms of income,
it's okay because
it's fixed
and more secure
But in project-based,
you know how to price
because sometimes the client is demanding
like asking for a lot of revisions
like you haven't finished the job
[laughs]
That's not fair
so, you really need to balance it
In project-based,
what are the usual rates of different types of design?
like for logo, Facebook post,
or pictures,
web design,
how much normally is the rate for that?
Probably,
for logos,
maybe the range
is $100
and above
that's at least
Just don't go lower than $100
if it's for logo
Unless,
you don't have experience yet
James: Yes, that's it
If you just want to have something on your portfolio
because when I'm still a newbie,
that's what I do
I am getting low prices
so at least,
I can put something on my portfolio
that's the main key
for you to have content
on your port folio
But since I already have experience
that's $100 and above
How about Facebook designs
or Facebook posts
that you're designing?
Usually, for that
that's per hour
James: That's per hour
They are per hour
if ever there's someone that asking you to create
per project,
it's around $20 to $50
depending on the graphics
The price really depends
on the type of design
because sometimes, others just need texts
so that's cheaper
that's just easy to do
There are also asking for lots of graphics to be added
then that whould be priced a bit higher
James: Yes
How about the web designs?
When you're designing the actual website
In web design,
usually,
in web design,
it's priced for the overall project
Meaning,
there's for design, development,
I do that
with a developer
then, our range is most likely
is $500 and above
That's the main
James: Contract?
Jozelle: Yes, that's project-based.
that's above
it should not go lower
As I said,
again,
it depends on your experience
$100 for logo
actually, that's still low
but you can already start from that and up
James: That's so helpful, guys.
What are the equipments that we need to be a graphic designer?
What are you using personally for equipments?
Me? Just simple.
I just need a laptop,
mouse,
or tablet,
it's better if there's a tablet
the pern tablet where you can draw,
but if there's none
since it's a bit expensive,
if you're just starting,
mouse is already fine,
Because if you use mouse-
or only in laptop pad,
it's a bit harder
to navigate the
pencils and brushes
after that,
internet, of course,
and I think that's pretty much it
James: How about internet
internet connection,
are your clients requiring
exact speed
or minimum internet speed?
Jozelle: When I was doing full-time before,
yes they are.
That's one of their requirements
at least 3 mbps
and above
James: But that a long time ago, right?
Jozelle: Yes
because I was only doing full-time before,
When I was still new to online job,
I am always accepting for full-time only
or part-time
and then eventually,
I did freelancing
where I have different clients
Usually, they're not requiring that
because it's per project
but if you'll apply for full-time,
if you're just starting,
go with full-time,
so at least you can gain more experience
James: And the income is more stable
Jozelle: Yes
So, you can expect it every month
James: Okay, so,
What you need is laptop, right?
Laptop or computer, that's fine
Jozelle: Yeah, any computer
that can be used for design. Jame: Photoshop Jozelle: Yes.
So, is it memory consuming
or does Illustrator and others has high computer usage?
Actually, a bit
it depends on the version
of Adobe
It require a bit high consumption
but with what I'm using, I can use Photoshop
and illustrator at the same time
What laptop are you using?
Acer
Acer and it's i5
Yes, i5
Do you know how much memory does it have?
For the RAM?
James: Yes, for the RAM?
Before, it was just 4.
I upgraded it to 8gb
because it's slow
it's really slow
Sometimes I need Photoshop and Illustrator at the same time
So, I upgraded it
James: At first, when it's 4gb
is it also okay?
Jozelle: It's actually okay
but for me,
it's a bit slow for me
Better if your laptop is faster
you can finish faster
James: So you'll meet your goal, right?
Especially if you're working project-based
Jozelle: Yeah
So, it'll be helpful
if it's fast
but 4gb
is also already okay
for photoshop
or Illustrator
Most of the time,
tablet is used
for vector
or drawing faces
not only faces but like
detailed graphics
I am not really doing those that much
called vector art
but if you have budget
and you like that kind of field,
like doing vector arts
then better if you have a tablet
I don'y have a specific tablet
but from what I heard,
Wacom is really good
James: Hmm, so, let's check that out

Arsenal team news : Predicted Carabao Cup line up vs Brentford – teenagers to start | AFC News - Duration: 2:18.
Arsenal are being forced to name a strong defence against Brentford in their Carabao
Cup encounter due a deepening injury crisis.
Arsenal will not be able to rest all of their stars for the Carabao Cup clash with Brentford
on Wednesday due to a deepening injury crisis at the Emirates.
Sokratis Papastathopoulos is the latest defender to pick up an injury, joining Laurent Koscielny,
Konstantinos Mavropanos and Carl Jenkinson in the treatment room.
Sead Kolasinac has returned to training but the midweek game will come too soon for him,
forcing Nacho Monreal to continue in his role at left-back.
Shkodran Mustafi and Rob Holding are likely to start at the heart of the Arsenal defence
with only Hector Bellerin dropped for a rest.
Stephan Lichtsteiner will be handed a chance to impress after a frustrating start to life
at the Emirates.
Sokratis picked up a knock during the win over Everton and is not expected to be risked
against Brentford.
Further up the pitch, Unai Emery is set to rotate his squad with Alexandre Lacazette,
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Mesut Ozil to be rested.
Teenage duo Eddie Nketiah and Emile Smith-Rowe could be handed chances to shine alongside
Danny Welbeck and Alex Iwobi.
Lucas Torreira has edged his way into the first team but could make way for Matteo Guendouzi
and Mohamed Elneny to partner each other.
Bernd Leno will start the game, with the battle for the regular keeper spot intensifying at
the weekend after Petr Cech produced a terrific display.
Predicted Arsenal line-up vs Brentford (4-2-3-1) Leno;
Lichtsteiner, Mustafi, Holding, Monreal;
Guendouzi, Elneny;
Welbeck, Smith-Rowe, Iwobi;
Nketiah.

Hey everybody, Hamada here for Architecture daily sketches. and before I start
I'd like to apologize for the lack of uploads I know it's been a while
a lot of things are going on at the moment and it's just a lot to be explained
however I promise we're currently working on bringing things back to normal
it'll just take us some time which
brings me to this video so in this video I'll be announcing the winners from the
July challenge however I will not be announcing a topic for a new challenge
that doesn't mean we're ending the sketching challenge we will just be
taking a break for a while we will be back in the near future so check the
description below for more information on that so let me get started with
announcing the winners from the previous challenge thank you so much for
everybody who submitted an entry and don't forget after finish watching this
video please check out the hashtag #themodmin_jul18
to look at all the other amazing entries so I'll start as usual with the
honorable mentions and in no particular order so first we have @wardo_anguiano
a simple sketch done using curved guidelines to make it look like a
view through a fisheye lens very cool interesting effect the limited use of
color blue sky purple shadow and white everything else really helps to not
overwhelm this as a graphic image making it simple yet sweet Congrats and well done
and next we have @ar_beee beautiful sketch well composed but if I
may comment maybe it could use some better blending from the markers so we
can't see the strokes in the blue sky otherwise fantastic job Congrats and well done
and next we have @yharchitect this is a delightful digital drawing I
quite liked the choice of color and how you compose these images together
Congrats and well done
and next we have this by @huzefa_malik7 I chose
this because I think you have potential in the way you compose digitally it is a
nice image I can see this looking quite lovely framed on a wall so I hope that
you explore this further and really polish your digital art powers Congrats
and well done and next we have @malek_arch
thank you for all the entries you have given us I chose this particular one
because I think it's the best from the batch of entries you've given I see a
lot of potential and a chance of improvement in terms of the finesse of
your drawing skills but like to commend you on the creative way you assemble
your drawings as well as the brave use of colors explore into that and keep
trying out your creative methods and I'm sure you'll develop a unique style
Congrats and well done and next we have @cesar.h_10
Wow fantastic another beautiful composition of views plans and diagrams
check out the section drawing here at the bottom corner that's the whole
landscape from the site all the way to the ocean Congrats and well done and
next we have @ukenderan_sketches Umar has mentioned many times
how he likes to see the contrast when hard buildings like concrete depicted
using soft medium like watercolors so this is quite evocative and the way that
you depicted the shadows and highlights and this little cutaway view is just
splendid so congrats and well done and next we have @grafica_arquitectonica
very cool comic-book style drawing reminds me of the yes is more
book by Bjarke Ingels great colors generous amount of drawings you got
a perspective plan a section and diagrams Congrats and well done
next is @afr_architecture this is also very cool evocative especially in the
use of such a striking colors fantastic presentation congrats and well done next
we have @hakimeyyyy another very evocative drawing great balance of manual and
digital Congrats and well done so onto the winner of this challenge and the winner is
@hillmanrushdi while this is on another level such a high level of
finesse check out the precise lines he's using
for shading shade and contrast is on point and check out how he depicted the
environment around the building the sky the clouds the trees even the patchiness
on the ground it's perfect Congrats and well done and that's it so
to the winner we will be in contact with you shortly to arrange delivery of your
prize congratulations and thank you again to

Guilds of Ravnica Prerelease Guide - Duration: 8:32.
Top 8 Ways to play Better at the Guilds of Ravnica Prerelease.
The more Prereleases we play, The better we get.
This is a list of the top 8 ways to make this your best one.
Stay til the end I have something for you
that will help you during the Guilds of Ravnica Prerelease.
And we are starting right now.
Reaching and Teaching Young Mages of all ages.
Welcome Young Mage, I'm Rhino.
Before we get started,
Tell me in the comments below, which guild are going to play at this Prerelease.
We are all excited about the new set.
We have seen the spoilers and we are ready for Game Day.
Here are 8 ways to make this Prerelease your best.
Number 8
Bring Sleeves.
There are a lot of players that come to a Prerelease unprepared.
You don't need sleeves to play at a Prerelease, but it is nice to protect the cards.
For younger players, it's easier to shuffle the cards.
And one thing you can do to make your Prerelease better,
Sleeve up 9 copies of each basic land before you start.
That way you can focus on building your deck, and not waste time sleeving land.
Those extra few minutes can help you choose the right card
to finish your deck.
Number 7
You can easily splash a third color in Guilds of Ravnica.
At a prerelease you are building a 40 card deck.
You should have many special lands.
If you are new, build a two color deck.
It's a safe bet.
Two color decks win most Prerelease events.
And for the most part two colors is all you need.
But you may have a rare that can win you the game,
even if you don't have the common or uncommons to support that color.
Add it anyway with a land or two to help you cast it.
In Guilds of Ravnica, there are a common set of two color land.
This is a great way to make sure you have the mana you need
to cast the special card.
Number 6
Be flexible.
The theme for Ravnica is Guilds.
It's fun to construct a deck with big guild synergies.
If the packs I get are better for another guild,
I'll do it.
And even more, I may mix my guilds.
You won't lose the game just because you miss out on a few synergies.
There are cards in the set that you may think is designed for one type
of guild, but they will work quite well with others.
Don't limit yourself.
Number 5
Commons and uncommons rule.
Most of the time you will have two, maybe three rares that will win you the game.
These are a great way to finish the game.
But there's a chance that these couple of cards
will be shuffled to the bottom of your deck.
Don't focus on a single win condition that relies on these cards.
And that leads to…
Number 4
Play enough creatures.
Decks with creatures win more games at sealed events.
Just like the lands, you need around 17 creatures.
Creatures win games at Sealed events.
You can try to win using alternate win conditions, but that rarely works.
Creatures swinging for the win is how you generally win at a Sealed event.
So play around 17 creatures.
Number 3
Play the right creatures.
Now that you are playing with enough creatures, you need to pick the right ones.
You want to choose creatures with the right abilities.
Evasion abilities dominate Sealed events.
The Evasion abilities are Flying, Menace and Trample.
Remember, most of the time this is going to be creature
versus creature.
So if your creatures Fly, you can dominate the game.
If they have Menace, you can choose which blockers you take out.
If they have Trample, they go over top of the other creatures and
still damage your opponent.
Picking the right creatures is important.
Number 2
Curve your mana.
For the most part you don't have to think about this too much.
But you want your creatures to fit a good mana curve.
This is a good curve for most decks.
Up to 3 one drop cards.
Four to Five 2 drops.
About 7 three drops.
Around 6 four drops.
And finally 4 that are five or over.
You don't have to hit this curve perfectly.
It is just a guide.
But when you are down to the last few seconds of the build,
if you have a few cards to choose from, this can be the deciding factor.
Number 1
Be prepared.
Know the cards.
Know the mechanics.
Be familiar with all of the cards, so you aren't wasting time with a lot of
reading.
I do a lot of research before a new set comes out.
I want to know what options I have.
I want to know what cards will work together.
You won't regularly win with combos during a Sealed event.
But you will win with cards that have a good synergy.
Making decks is much easier when you know the cards.
Number 0
What?
There is no such thing as a number Zero in a Top 8.
But this is the most important way to make Prerelease better.
Have Fun.
If you go with the intent to have fun, you will.
And you will get a lot more out of the Prerelease than a few games and cards.
I did promise to help you with the Guilds of Ravnica Prerelease.
We have compiled a cheat sheet using the suggestions of players much better
than me.
This sheet can help you filter out cards quickly.
The rating is a bit different this time.
If there is a plus in the column, it's a really good card for that format.
If there is a minus in the column, it's a card you probably don't even want
to play.
The first column is for the Prerelease.
The second is how it may do in Standard.
We got rid of the numbers to speed up the sorting.
You can download your own copy at the link below.
Print it out and take it to your Prerelease.
Or keep the digital copy.
Each card is linked to Scryfall.
So if you have any ruling questions, just click.
As you can tell I'm really excited for Guilds of Ravnica.
I hope you are too.
Check out some things here

Breaking News - Mike Ashley's disregard for Newcastle taken to a new level - Duration: 5:04.
So much of the Newcastle United soap opera has been played out in public that it is easy to be inured to Mike Ashley's disregard of the club, though some of the new revelations in Kevin Keegan's autobiography are on an entirely different level
What they expose, where Ashley and the fans of his football possession are concerned, is nothing less than contempt
Keegan reveals the full gamut of indignities which Ashley and his stooges submitted him to in during his nine months back at the club in 2008
We are re-introduced to Tony Jimenez - the one-time former Chelsea match-day steward, who was somehow given the power to foist players on Keegan
There is the story of how Jimenez told Luka Modric's agent that the Croatian was 'too light-weight' for Newcastle and how he admitted he had never heard of Per Mertesacker
There is episode of how Keegan, having been promised by Jimenez that Bayern Munich's Bastian Schweinsteiger would be signed as a replacement for James Milner that summer, called the German club's Karl-Heinz Rummenigge to be sure that an offer had actually been made
It tuned out Jimenez had offered €5million (£3.4m in 2008) for the then 23-year-old and Keegan relates his cringe-inducing phone conversation with Rummenigge from a London hotel room
'Five million euros, Kevin! We killed ourselves laughing.' Keegan describes how he left the German 'chuckling at the other end of the line and rang off
' Jimenez talked about going for Joleon Lescott, then an England international. Except he kept calling him 'Julian
' He talked about bringing in South American players who 'nobody else knew about' and turning them into multi-million pound assets
Keegan, as aware as anyone in football about the work-permit problems if these player had not featured in internationals, asked in one early meeting how they were going to get such individuals in
'We'll fly them in, of course,' said Jimenez. Keegan was always forbidden from calling the boss by Derek Llambias, who took over as managing director after Keegan had been hired
So only when Keegan had walked away and taken the club to industrial tribunal - claiming that the imposition of Jimenez and the hopeless Dennis Wise as the directors of football represented constructive dismissal – did Ashley enter the narrative
The autobiography provides an abundance of detail on the tribunal, not reported at the time
This included Ashley's response to the three-man panel when asked why he had said in an interview with respected Newcastle fanzine 'The Mag' that final decisions of transfers were Keegan's
Jimenez and Wise were there only to recommend players. The interview - in which Ashley said: 'I'm here to help Kevin – he has the final word' - was even published on the club's website and printed in the match programme for next home game
'I have never looked at the club website,' Ashley replied. 'And I have to be exceptionally bored to read the programme
You will get more sense out of the Beano.' The examination of Ashley at the tribunal courtroom in London's Fleet Street, broadened out into other examples of him speaking with utter disregard for the notion of truth
In one interview, he had described a 2-0 win over Sunderland as his favourite moment since taking over the club
'It wasn't,' he told the tribunal. 'It was when we beat Spurs 4-1. If you want to refer to dealing with the media as lying, then I would say 'yes', but I don't think it's lying in the true sense of the word
' The tribunal panel - Philip Havers QC, Lord Pannick QC and Ken Merrett, Manchester United assistant club secretary – ordered Newcastle to pay Keegan £2m plus interest and costs
It accused Ashley of 'repeatedly and unintentionally misleading the press, public and fans of Newcastle United
' Sportsmail asked Keegan if he felt there should be more rigour and resource put into the Premier League's work to ensure that those who buy clubs are committed to running it professionally
'I thought they'd got that,' he said. 'It's a good idea but I'm afraid it should have been implemented a long time ago
You're trying to shut a stable door.'
