How NASA Reinvented The Wheel - Shape Memory Alloys - Duration: 9:23.
This episode of Real Engineering is brought to you by the Royal Air Force and the Briggs
Automotive Company, who are currently holding an engineering design competition for Young
Engineers.
One of the moments that will always stand out in my life is the watching the joy and
excitement of the engineers at JPL celebrating the monumental task they had completed.
They had just landed a 900 kilogram rover the size of a mini cooper on another planet.
The Mars rover is bursting at the seams with engineering innovation.
I could detail the insane landing process and any of the multitude of engineering marvels
on board, but today I want to discuss something you may not have put much thought into.
Something we use on earth everyday.
Tires.
The wheels of the Mars Rover have been one the biggest technical difficulties encountered
on the mission.
Accruing substantial damage though the rough Martian terrain.
Surely the engineers at NASA could have predicted this and designed something better.
Well not everything is as simple as it may and seem.
Even on flat hard ground, the rover has a top speed of just 0.15 kilometres per hour.
Yet this snail's pace still had enough force to tear holes into the aluminium wheels of
the rover.
The engineers have some strict criteria that made the job more difficult.
The wheels need to be stiff enough to support the weight of the rover, at nearly 1 tonne
that isn't an easy task.
The wheels need to be as light as possible to reduce launch costs and must to be able
maintain traction and navigate the unpredictable martian terrain.
The current record holder for longest journey on an extraterrestrial body is held by the
Opportunity Rover at 45 kilometres, with the previous record being the Russian Lunokhod
2, a lunar rover.
Curiosity has racked up just 20 kilometres to date [1].
All Mars rovers have used solid aluminium wheels.
The Sojourner, Opportunity and Spirit rovers all used the design successfully, but the
curiosity rover is much heavier.
Each wheel on the Curiosity rover is about half a metre in diameter and 400 millimeters
wide.
Milled from a solid block of aluminium in a similar fashion to the methods described
in my Bloodhound SSC video, but unlike the Bloodhound, the Mars rover wheels are milled
down to just 0.75 millimeters thick over the majority of its circumference.
Damage here isn't all that surprising, 0.75 millimeters thick is the same thickness as
a credit card.
Running a nearly 1 tonne vehicle over a sharp rock would be expected to damage aluminium
that thick.
NASA simply underestimated the roughness of the terrain, more worryingly though the load
bearing threads which are about 6.4 millimeters thick are also damaged, and if they continue
to break the wheels will become useless.
The Mars Rover cost 2.5 billion dollars to develop and it employs a nuclear reactor for
power.
Extending the life of this project was top priority for it's engineers, and so finding
a solution to this problem has been fairly high on NASA's list for future projects.
So what other designs could we use?
To reduce the chances of the wheels experiencing a stress that could damage them we want them
to be able to bend and conform to the terrain.
This is what our rubber air filled tires do on earth.
Land rovers drive over similarly rough terrain without any major problem, so why not use
tires like this on Mars?
Flip down of temperature with suitable image/footage of Mars.
Temperatures on Mars can dip as low as minus 130 degrees celsius.
Temperatures this low would transform rubber from an elastic material capable of absorbing
stress to a brittle glass-like material, making it useless for this application.
Rubber would also degrade from the UV radiation it would be exposed to on the surface of mars.
On top of this, weight savings is also top priority and rubber wheels with thick rubber,
steel reinforcement and a rim, are actually quite heavy.
The lunar rover used flexible steel mesh wheels, with a stiffer inner frame to prevent over
deflection and thin strips of metal attached to prevent the wheel from sinking into the
lunar soil.
This option was studied for applications on Mars, but the Lunar Rover had a mass of just
450 kilograms compared to the 900 kilograms of the Curiosity Rover, combine this with
the higher gravity on Mars and it made the wheel unsuitable for the application.
The wheels would simply not be able to hold the weight of the vehicle without deforming
permanently, but Goodyear, who developed the original Lunar wheel, has been working alongside
NASA and in 2010 they were given the R&D 100 award for this spring tyre, which could be
the solution to our problems.
Being both light, capable of bending and conforming to the terrain without permanently deforming
and capable of holding the weight of a heavier rover.
So what is it's secret.
What makes these spring tyres different to the ones used on the Lunar Rover.
They use a new age material that has some incredible properties, not just for applications
in space, but right here on earth.
This spring tyre uses a material called Nitinol.
Nitinol is a nickel titanium alloy that has been named a shape memory alloy, and for good
reason.
You can bend and deform it, and then just apply a little bit of heat and it magically
returns to its original shape.
It remembers its original shape.
That is incredible, but nothing is magic in this world and everything has an explanation.
Here is how it works.
Typically when a material is stressed one of two things can happen.
If the stress is below it's yield point, the material will deform elastically like
a rubber band, and return to its original shape when the stress is released.
Alternatively, if the material is stressed beyond its yield point the material will deform
permanently and when the stress is released the material will be not return to its original
shape.
So how does this permanent deformation occur?
If bonds are not broken, the material should return to its original preferred crystal lattice
orientation, but when sufficient force is applied small defects in the crystal lattice
are able to move.
This is what is happening to the wheels of the Mars Rover.
When driving over pointed rocks and gravel the stress exceeds the yield stress, and thus
the wheels are gradually picking up permanent damage, and eventually cracks will form and
the material will fracture.
Deformation occurs slightly differently for Nitinol, as it has some unique properties
due to the internal crystal structure.
When Nitinol is below a certain temperature it has a crystal structure called martensite.
It's crystal structure is arranged in such a way that it can accommodate deformation
very easily.
Martensitic nitinol forms grains of twinned atoms where the direction aligns.
When stress is applied these twin grains deform and align to best absorb the stress.
Particular twin grains can grow at the expense of others.
This is called detwinning.
This, like the dislocation movement in other metals is permanent, without external energy
providing the energy needed to revert backwards, but Nitinol can get that energy from heat.
Upon heating the nitinol forms austenite, an ordered and regular crystal structure,
which effectively resets the crystal structure, and when the nitinol cools again the nitinol
remembers its original shape.
What makes nitinol even more amazing and useful, is that this transformation temperature can
be tailored for different applications.
In general, increasing the titanium content of the metal will increase the transformation
temperature.
This is an incredibly useful property and it has found many applications across many
industries.
Let's say we want the metal to remember its shape at 37 degrees celsius, body temperature.
Can you think of any applications when this would be useful?
I'll give you one.
Traditionally when stents, which are tiny tubes used to clear blockages in arteries,
are being deployed, a small balloon is used to inflate it and plastically deform the stent
into shape.
However this often places force on the lining of the blood vessel, which can damage it and
cause it to form scar tissue.
Many stent designs now employ nitinol which has been tailored to remember it's shape
at 37 degrees celsius, and so when unsheathed it automatically expands into place without
placing excessive force on the blood vessel.
[7]
So how is this useful for the Mars rover?
Do we have to apply heat to the metal so it can recover its shape after running over a
particularly big rock?
No, luckily nitinol can also be induced into that martensite to austenite transformation
through stress and strain, and so when the stress passes a threshold it actually causes
the crystal lattice to transform to austenite, and when the stress is released it returns
to martensite and the metal recovers its shape.
This is called super elasticity and it is the property that allows these new Mars rover
wheels to deform right down to the rim and still recover its shape after.
This combined with the interlocking coil design allows the tyre to tolerate strains in a way
no other tyre could, while surviving the harsh Martian environment.
These tyres could appear in NASA's designs for future Mars Rovers, like those planned
for launch in 2020.
It's easy to think something as simple as a wheel will never be reinvented, but there
are always ideas and opportunities for people willing to put the work into thinking about
them.
That's why I have teamed up with the Royal Air Force and the Briggs Automotive Company
to bring you an exciting design competition for Young Engineers.
We want you to brainstorm designs for a new Mars Transport Vehicle that improves on previous
designs in some way.
We want your most innovative and creative ideas.
Think from the ground up, what problems will Mars rovers encounter, have you ever thought
about how we communicate with a vehicle on another planet.
The top prize winner will have their idea developed and made into a 3D model by the
Briggs Automotive Company.
They'll also win work experience at the pioneering BAC factory in Liverpool that produces
the world's only road legal single-seater supercar.

4 Awesome Discoveries You Probably Didn't Hear About This Week: Episode 15 - Duration: 2:20.
We're back with four awesome discoveries you probably didn't hear about this week!
Scientists have discovered how plants sound the alarm when they're attacked by insects
and other herbivores – calcium signals.
Here's a caterpillar munching through a leaf.
See the blaze of fluorescent light washing over the other leaves?
That light is tracking calcium as it zips through the plant's tissues,
providing an electrical and chemical signal to prepare for attack.
The calcium is activated by glutamate exiting the plant's wounds.
Within minutes, the leaves produce noxious chemicals to ward off predators.
Fighting ice… with ice.
Unlike traditional de-icing methods using manmade chemicals or heat, this new technology
is the world's first passive anti-frosting surface, using just the chemistry of ice itself.
It works by patterning ice stripes onto a microscopic array of elevated,
untreated aluminum grooves.
The grooves intentionally form ice and pull in nearby moisture -
keeping the rest of the surface free from dew or frost.
It's eco--friendly and more efficient than salt. Possible applications?
Aerospace and HVAC industries, and yes, even windshields.
Scientists have determined four personality types, using new data from surveys of
one and a half million people, and a new algorithm to crunch the results.
So what are the types?
Average.
Reserved.
Self-Centered.
And Role Model.
They're all based on five character traits.
The research also reveals changes in those characteristics as people mature.
The comprehensive data analysis dispels established paradigms in psychology.
For many insect species, wings can be like fingerprints – no two patterns are the same.
Researchers have developed a new computer model that sheds light on how the patterns form.
They first had to gather hundreds of specimens and segment each individual polygonal shape
made from the intersecting veins in the wings.
The model works so well, it sometimes fools the researchers, generating patterns close
to the real thing for even distantly related species.
It may be helpful for studying the evolution of wing structure.
And there you go!
See you next week with 4 more awesome discoveries with funding from NSF.

5 Conversation Starters for First Dates(Dating Over 50)|Engaged at Any Age| Coach Jaki - Duration: 10:27.
and today I want to talk to you about five conversation starters for first
dates so let's jump right in and the reason why I want to make this video is
because sometimes things do you think are really obvious easy to remember what
to do you can forget and so this may be a
video that you kind of you know it you already know this but it's good a good
little refresher for you. Hi ladies Jaki Sabourin here your executive
love coach and CEO of engaged in any age company that helps women deliberately
date and consciously create the man of their dreams
I met married my own soul mate match husband Michael after being single for
eight years that I still on the honeymoon and passionate about helping
you get engaged at any age let's jump right in to the first out of five
conversation starters for first date so the first thing I like to encourage you
to talk about is hobbies how come out your hobbies and you're sure you have a
hobby if you're thinking I don't have a hobby old do you read books do you watch
Netflix do you like series I mean if you can you like to cook do you work out I
mean those are all can be considered hobbies so you know maybe you like to
surf maybe you like to ski maybe you like to do Pilates maybe you create
beautiful blackberry jam and maybe you have a Pinterest board
you know Pinterest board whatever it is you can consider it a hobby it's
interesting to you it's something that you're passionate about and that's why
it's fun to talk about your hobbies or your passions because your face comes
alive you get really excited you know I used to do a lot more surfing than I do
now but when I was dating I was always wanting to share about my surfy because
it was so fun for me and I was so excited about being out on the water
that it was just natural I would naturally light up and that's why it's
important to you know to think about what hobby that you want to share and
share that it shows a little bit about what your interests are
but more importantly what it really shows that you're passionate that you're
excited about something something gets you excited and if you're a movie buff
great own it you know just own it it's okay so let's go on to number two and
before I do please like comment and share my page so that
you your friends your friends can be a part of these trainings that I create
and also if you if you're loving the trainings make sure you subscribe to my
channel so you never miss an episode okay and I just want to say please
comment in the box below because they help me with ideas your feedback your
your your your feedback really helps me come up with ideas on what you would
like me to make trainings on so the first thing that you can do is talk
about travel maybe you haven't traveled much maybe you have the point is that
travel is such a great topic to talk about so you can you can talk about
where you want to go or ask him where he wants to go or where he's been
I mean traveling just provides just a it creates a real rich conversation because
there's always adventures that happens when you travel and so those are fun to
share because you usually some kind of you know mishap that happened that you
can share about or just some beauty or wonder or something that really stood
out to you and again it's just sharing a little bit about what makes you tick and
what you like so that you can see if there's some compatibility I'll make
sure you sure share your travel experience and ask him about his go
another a conversation starter is the is a really big one for everybody and see
as you talk about food right food I mean if you're a foodie or not it doesn't
matter we all love food and so talking about what your favorite dishes I mean I
I love making chicken parmesan and a homemade Caesar dressing and I love
making fresh salmon I can cook fish like nobody's business after living in Hawaii
for 22 years I know how to make the most tender moist juicy delicious fish any
kind of fish you name it I can cook it do you see how excited I got talking
about food and so just go ahead and talk about that because I had a little
bragging moment there right but it's fun and you know maybe you can say you know
if you're lucky someday if you play your cards right I might be making a
beautiful piece of fish for you and so so have fun with that but food is a
great topic and ask him what he likes and maybe you guys end up
you could say something like another thing is if we were cooking dinner
together what would you be cooking us so that's
kind of a fun thing you can say before the date or on the dates or on the phone
okay the fourth thing that I want to share with you for a conversation
starter for first dates is music music is the big obvious thing to talk about
right but sometimes we forget so I remember asking this guy you know what
what kind of music he liked and he said I don't listen to music I just listen to
the sports channel on my way to work and I was like good to know there really it
was good to know and there was I didn't have a problem with that and but that
was what his interest was so I got to ask him about that and so you know you
can ask somebody who do you see if you were a Beatle which one would you be or
if you were a Spice Girl you know which one would you be you could you can
compare yourself to one of those lovely ladies not compare yourself but you know
what I'm saying like if I was a musician I would be so and so and so have fun
with the music you know know what you johner you love and you have your
favorite song ready you know it's interesting I listen to this song every
time I went into this post office in Hawaii and it was that the remake by
Israel somewhere over the rainbow and it's so interesting I listen to it every
time I win the post office they were always playing that song and I heard it
so many times over so many years that when we got married he Michael was like
what is your what song you know what they were putting together together the
ceremony and they're saying what is your favorite song and I'm like you know
somewhere over the rainbow because that's all I heard it just popped into
my head so I have a favorite song you can share and talk about why it's your
favorite song like I did with the post office and so the last and final um
conversation started that I want to share with you is storytelling so I'm
going to expand on that in a moment but I want to remind you to stay to the end
after I'm done with this last piece so I can share with you my free gift for you
and also I have a small announcement so storytelling let's talk about that
storytelling and these don't have to follow any any particular order I'm just
giving you five topics you can speak into if you're going on
first dates and you're nervous okay so storytelling is great when you
tell a story about something you experience you share a lot about your
lifestyle about your your interest about your passions about the experiences
you've had and how you've handled them and so when I was dating I would talk
about this again I was dating you know it's been six years and I'm a single and
so before that I was dating I was went on a surf trip to El Salvador and so I
would talk about that so with that showed about me and again don't compare
yourself to me you have your own great stories even if
it was a trip to a quaint little town up the coast or maybe you went to Oklahoma
City and you you checked out their museum or whatever what the point I'm
saying making is that it doesn't matter where you went and even if you just went
to another neighborhood you've had an experience and you want to share that
because it creates intimacy and intimacy creates trust and Trust creates
relationships and that's why storytelling build trust in to meet that
intimacy fast so that's why I'm recommending that you do it
go find a story you have fun with it and then ask him and tell you a story and
that's a quick way to get to know somebody about their lifestyle their you
know their adventurous spirit if they have one and see if you're all checking
to see if there's some compatibility right that's the whole purpose free
dating to see if there's some compatibility see if there's a
connection that you can grow a relationship and end up in your soulmate
relationship this year so my free gift to you is my soulmate IQ so it's a
soulmate assessment all you have to do is go to soulmate iq.com
and take my quick quiz and it's going to help you to discover what frequency
you're vibrating at and how close you are to attracting your soulmate and so I
have three frequencies you're either vibrating as a leader which is more of a
masculine energy with the can-do attitude or maybe you're a feeler a
feeler is someone who just has been through so much so much has happened to
you they tend to lead with that and then the giver is when we keep doing that
over giving a little bit more on the codependent side and so with these
frequencies I want to help you raise your vibrations
which further closer into alignment to manifesting your soulmate relationships
though it's gonna take just a few minutes to take advantage of this quiz
it's incredible it's uncanny how accurate the results are and it's all
freeze and my announcement is that I am taking a group of empowered women to New
York City and I would like you to join me if you're looking for a
transformation this year if you want to transform your love life if you want to
work through your patterns and discover your unconscious beliefs that are
tripping you up and learn some new empowering beliefs and a skill set
having me as your wing woman you're going to really want to take a look at
my three-day workshop retreat in New York City and I picked New York City
because in the fall it is so incredible they're the the vibration of the and the
energy of the city is just it just transfer it's transformational and that
coupled with the workshop and the other ladies is gonna help propel you forward
on your journey and that's why I've created the workshop is to create
momentum for you so if this is something you're resonating with and you like
watching my videos and you should take a look at the link in the box below take
you to a page to tell you about the retreat and you can have an opportunity
to make it up with me or my team so we can see if this is a true fit for you so
um you want to get on that right away the retreats at the end of October 26
27th and 28th and I don't want you to miss out okay ladies I'm just sending
you so much love today thanks for being here I'll see you in the next video

Okay, in three, two, one
now, with this cream
Okay, in three, two, one

I got you
It's alright getting messy
We need more cream

in three, two, one ...
Yeah, finally .... I got the revenge
Next round
three, two, one
let's make a giant one
Too much
Giant pie face, in three, two, one ...
hey, that's my cream
Wow my face is so grizzy. How about yours?
Okay, in three, two, one
That was a quick one
Are you ready for the next one?
in three, two, one....

Pan Seared Steak Recipe - How to Pan Cook Steak Perfectly - Duration: 7:25.
what's up everybody this is Lyle with no
hippie BBQ I know I'm putting the
hurting on the old vision with these
fashionable threads from barbecue hippy
calm but listen I went over there by a
bunch of shirts cuz you know I'm down
with the hippies anyway I'm gonna leave
a link in the description where you
could buy all different kinds of apparel
coffee mugs things like that in the
description anyway well we're going to
be making today is we're going to be
making some pan-seared steaks with
a nice brandy cream sauce anyway this is
a pretty straightforward recipe let's
get into the ingredients for this perfect steak. these are the
ingredients were going to use to hook
this up I have some strip steaks here
that I'm gonna let come to room
temperature for about an hour after I
salt and pepper I have some brandy heavy
cream some beef stock some butter black
pepper capers with the brian drained off
darling kosher salt and then I have some
clarified butter and I'm gonna use the
clarified butter to cook the steak in
our skillet just so we won't have any
burning action going on anyway the first
thing I need to do is I'm going to go
ahead and get our pepper or get our
steak salt and pepper it up and we're
not going to be shy with the pepper on
this steak
all right I'm gonna go ahead and finish
the rest of these off-camera like I said
they're gonna have a chance to come to
room temperature and that should be
about an hour so our steak has had a
chance to come to room temperature I
have some clarified butter in our
skillet here we're just going to go
ahead and we're going to throw these
steaks in and I'm gonna go three and a
half minutes aside
so that's our first three and a half
minutes let's go ahead and flip it and
that looks beautiful right there do
another three and a half minutes so
that's three and a half minutes on that
side now we're just going to go ahead
and touch these edges up for about 25-30
seconds on that side that's wind flip it
over if it's over
all right so that's a wrap let's go
ahead and get these off I'm gonna set
these aside and we'll get started on
this side so to make this sauce really
all I'm gonna do is I'm gonna go ahead
and throw in our shallots garlic and our
black pepper goes left over from my
steak seasoning we're just gonna cook
this down a little bit so this has been
a couple minutes
shallots are kind of softened up we're
gonna go ahead and throw in our capers
and I like a lot of capers in mine so
I'm going with this whole bottle it's
gonna hit it with a little bit of this
be stopped
well maybe a little bit more and I'm
gonna go ahead and let that reduce down
for about 3540 seconds all right now
that that's cooked down a little bit
we're gonna go ahead and get down to my
new favorite technique we're gonna go
ahead and pour some of this brandy in
I'm gonna try not to jump back but I'm
gonna go ahead and light this up on fire
a quick
now that our flames gone out we're going
to go ahead and add some heavy cream
and we're gonna bring this to a simmer
and let it cook down a bit and I'm going
to say probably three minutes now that
this is a chance to reduce I'm going to
go ahead and turn this off I'm going to
go ahead and add our butter and I'm
going to go ahead and start plating up
or getting this steak cut up and then
see what that looks like and then we'll
plate up one of these so let's get into
this steak and see we're looking like
I'm extremely happy with this right here
you know I've got a nice little pink
inside nice crust on the outside
a little kind of that medium-rare if you
want to get medium well I probably go
ahead and maybe cook it a four and a
half five minutes the side and then
well-done maybe six minutes aside anyway
as you can see in that picture I did
pair this with some dill mashed potatoes
some asparagus and then this steak but
like I said this is all about the state
so let's get into that get a little bit
of this sauce on here that sauce is a
winner now it is a little chunky because
I have those you know hold jar capers I
got a bunch of those shallots in there
the way I would like it if you want a
little bit thinner I obviously don't add
as much well I meant it I might as well
get in these potatoes those are awesome
asparagus is always good anyway
I will highly recommend this recipe to
anybody that's looking to cook a steak
and doesn't want to get outside on the
grill this right here how much this is
this is a tin anyway give it a try again
run by barbecue hippie comm pick up all
your hip you doing gear out there
I'm listening about a bunch of these
shirt so I'm going to be rocking them I
got some giveaways coming up and you
know I can't say enough about that. Thanks for watching to to cook steak perfectly

Venetian Tapas in Dorsoduro - VENICE WITH 5 EURO - walktour - Duration: 4:59.
this is an alternative way
less used
this sunflower is not a photomontage
but it's here
at RIO TERA 'DEI PENSIERI (underground river of thoughts)
Ciao YOUTUBERS, I'm Annalisa
and we are here again in Venice
for the VENICE WITH 5 EURO ONLY series
with Venice with 5 euros
we would go to discover
the CICCHETTI
the famous Venetian tapas
in SETRIERE (Neighborhood) of DORSODURO
a foundation (fondamenta), a road (calle)
where I think it's very pretty
and where is a BACARO (a winery)
where it offers
in my opinion
the best typical Venetian tapas
here we are
we are in the field CAMPO SAN BARNABA
it's already visible
here at the bottom the SPRITZ APEROL
it is practically the typical Venetian aperitif (for the SPRITZ recipe see my video link above)
which has already started
that we are going to our destination
we arrived
and I'll go and taste for you
some tapas
I will choose with bizarre tastes
here you take the tapas
then you sit down
along the steps
to drink aperitif in an informal way
here are two bacari .......... one down below
but what we would like to taste
it's this here at the winery
wine cellar LE CANTINE DEL VINO GIA' SCHIAVI
today unfortunately.... I do not know why there was not much choice
I could find last
last tapas
their specialty
that tapas with octopus
here we are
this is the square (in front of the winery)
that I really like ... because there's a little green lawn
and there's this well where you can sit down
I chose then
tapas with octopus
it is practically boiled octopus
that is put in a bottle
and then left for a day in the fridge
and then it is compact and takes this globose shape
with natural celery chop with red pepper in grains on top
it is a very delicate and light flavor
then here is the swordfish tapas
smoked
with salad and capers
so it is smoked swordfish
with SCAROLA salad cooked over it with garlic and capers in a pan
good
it tastes a little more intense
while this here is the tuna with horseradish
now the tuna is not a variant I like
because I eat it everywhere
but they put the horseradish on it
I said we taste it
because it's a very bizarre taste
above has drops of Modena balsamic vinegar
the tuna is amalgamated with mayonnaise
and on raw horseradish flakes
that is really good
because the tuna is a little sweet
while the horseradish a little spicy
and balance the flavors well
I must say among all those I have chosen
the tapas I had more doubts
it's the best one
this here with raw tuna and horseradish
very good
here is the dirty plate
here we put it here in the garbage basket
for us to keep CLEAN VENICE
leave a comment if you like this series

Chelsea news: Mateo Kovacic aims subtle dig at Real Madrid, talks time at Stamford Bridge - Duration: 2:22.
The Croatia international joined the Blues on loan in the summer. The Real Madrid midfielder struggled to get game time at the Bernabeu, with the 24-year-old rarely starting under Zinedine Zidane last season
Real manager Julen Lopetegui told Kovacic he wasn't in his plans this season, which saw the former Inter Milan ace head to west London
And Kovacic says he's enjoying his football again under Maurizio Sarri at Stamford Bridge
"It was difficult when I was playing less," he told The Sun. "Now I am involved more and it helps me a lot
"I was 18 when I went to Inter and then Madrid at 21. "Maybe it was a bit too fast
" Following his move to Chelsea in the summer, Kovacic said: "I am really happy and excited to be here at Chelsea
"It is an amazing feeling. I will try to do my best for this club. "It is a new league for me, the beginning is always tough
"But I am sure the coach and my new team-mates will help me and I am looking forward to a great season
" Kovacic has impressed in recent weeks under Sarri alongside Jorginho and N'Golo Kante in midfield
Chelsea are back in action tomorrow afternoon, with the Blues travelling to West Ham (1:30pm kick-off)
Sarri's men are hoping to extend their 100 per cent record in the Premier League

I have something to show you guys
This is
it!
Ta-da~
Computer! Full set!
This is the one which I got from…
I was a regular customer of Internet café in 'hakdong station.'
I asked the owner of café in person, so finally I got this!
Because… I don't know much about Computer…
If you look at it
This one is 'Kakao'
Hello? Hey kakao
Hello?
It's not speaking in polite words
This is 'Corsair wireless headset!
Ta-da!
It's wireless headset, this is really good
And even the café's owner highly recommended me
So, it's strongly recommended
Almost all of the people around me, are changing into this product
I play games in this way
Umm
How about playing games together?
I'm going to start it
Today, I'm playing in solo mode
Its not the 'Aim' that it used to it has been decreased a lot
And I usually don't play in solo mode
Solo is uninteresting
We say it 'camper'
And there are so many surprising situations
And even if I won, there's no one to be delighted with me
Anyway, the first round is 'sanook' map
Personally I prefer this mapIt finishes fast and the map is all greenish so I feel like healing in it
Something like on a picnic?
Maybe I can use some insult words
I don't use those words usually, but during games it's making me mad
'M4' is my most favorite things
Ya, it come out
First of all, the magnetic field has started
Oh? A sound of gun shot
Not even a single shot hits
Oh I'm nervous! What should I do
Hey guys~???
Whatever, I should go inside. So scared
I can't understand why people are killing each other…
Oh, I found a person
in 130 direction…
Yeah one kill!
I need to take fastly and hardly
Even so, thank god I killed one
If I had died as soon as I started
Then it would have been so disconcerting
I'm going to follow that man
Maybe he was not able to hear because of the sound of an airplane
Oh no, he is shooting
Oh god! Aim! Aim is crazy~ guys~~
2 kills
It came right in front of me
It's right here! Here! Right here!
Isn't it too scared?
Oh shit there's even person on my way! Guys! Enemy enemy!
Ah!!! Owhh!!
Oh god!!! Oh!!!
Let's just go inside inside inside please!
Oh yeah, person came
Horray! 3 kiils!
In the mean while, I heard the sound
I think that man wasn't heard of mine
But I did~~~ dude~~~
Owhhh What's this!
oh shit here is barnacle
Ah Aim!
I'm not gonna fight with it
Even there is a person
There's no way, I'm gonna jump down
There are so many enemies right now… I can know it at a glance
I selected to swim
Isn't he aiming at my head?
Oh god, he was! What should I do now?
Ohww! I'm dying No way! I should not die!!
Moving back and forth Moving back and forth
Help me! Please!
Oh I ranked 11th
It's him, that I was trying to shoot but failed before
What on earth he is doing here
Whatever, I thought 'what if I don't go for even 1kill' but 3 kills are pretty good
Lol, I'm consoling myself
Ya, you too..!! shit! Shit man! He is swimming too
I'm not gonna watch this
Ta-da!
What I have ordered is~
It may not showing well,
It's 'Marinated pork intestine'
Oh I'm starving!
I think it's because of I talked too much
Oh, what's this? Is this an red pepper paste?
Guys, let me show you this
Ta-da a 'Marinated pork intestine'!
Looking delicious right?
All right, let's try
Umm Good!
This is so good guys
Cheers boom!
Delicious!
'Wangshipli Kkobul Gobchang'
It's name of the store
I'm not familiar to shooting the eating show
Clear! I Cleared all of it!
Seriously full…
Guys… Maybe I'm in a food coma
I need to get some rest for a while Too sleepy…
Let me sleep for a while
I started the mobile game
The 'Sims mobile'!
For certain, PC version is more beautiful
But in mobile version, there are more things to do like quests
PC version is boring because of its high DOF
But not in mobile, so it's making me playing for quite long hours
I'm seriously in a food coma. Got to go for sleep Let's meet after for a while
I'll try more harder next time…
Please subscribed me… go for subscribing and likes, follow me on instagram please~~
See you!
Bye Bye~
See you~

Most Anticipated Reads || October 2018 || Always Doing - Duration: 9:23.
Hey there, Kazen here, and welcome back to Always Doing.
Today I have the first video in what I hope will be an ongoing series called Most Anticipated
Reads.
Here I'll go through the upcoming releases for the next month and point out the books
that have caught my eye, caught my interest, and that I'm hoping to get my hands on at
some point.
As you may know I live in Japan, but I follow the United States publishing world and publishing
schedule.
I'll give you release dates as well as I can.
Just do realize that sometimes they change at the last moment.
I have quite the range here for you guys.
Fiction and non-fiction, books in translation, books by people of color...
there's one by an indigenous author, all kinds of stuff.
So let's get into it.
[♪♪]
My first book and I'm already gonna cheat a little bit.
But this book comes out September 25th from Deep Vellum, who's one of my favorite independent
publishers.
They do all translated works and a full half of them were written by women.
And many...
I would say at least half of their translators, I think, are women as well.
Anyway, the book is Revenge of the Translator by Brice Matthieussent, and it's translated
by Emma Ramadan.
Matthieussent a translator in his own right.
He wrote this book in French where a translator in the book, the protagonist of the book,
is doing his job, translating a novel, and inserting himself more and more into the story,
and changing things as he goes.
In translation the idea is to take something from one language and put it into another
with as little interference as possible.
And apparently he just forgets all that and goes off the deep end.
Adding to the layer of meta is that Ramadan is translating this translator's attempt at
translating a novel by an author who also... translates... yeah.
I've read a book translated by Ramadan before and I liked it so I'm hoping I'll like this
one, too.
It seems a little weird, a little... meta and maybe off-center, and I'm intrigued.
I'm intrigued.
Especially from a publisher that I already love.
So let's get into October reviews proper.
This first one is October 2nd, and it's Consumed by J.R. Ward.
J.R. Ward is most famous for the Black Dagger Brotherhood series of paranormal romances.
I read a couple of those back in the day.
They were... okay.
They were like crack.
Like, you just can't stop reading them even though they're maybe not the most...
stellar representations of paranormal romance.
There's something addictive about them, and so I read a few of them very quickly.
The reason I'm interested in this book in particular is that it's the beginning of a
new series, and it doesn't sound like paranormal or not even maybe quite romance at all.
It's about firefighters, arson investigators, and the main character is a woman arson investigator.
I'm just curious how her craft has evolved and how she'll do in this slightly new genre.
The advance reviews I've seen use words like "gripping" and "couldn't put it down" and
"quick read".
I like plotty stuff.
I think I'll like it.
The next book I have for you is also going to be released October 2nd.
It's Six by Ten: Stories from Solitary.
It's a collection edited by Taylor Pendergrass and Mateo Hoke.
And it has 13 pieces written by people affected some way by solitary confinement.
There are stories from inmates, stories by inmates' family, and also stories by corrections
officers.
And I say "stories"... they're non-fiction pieces.
The blurb says it explores the mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of solitary confinement.
More and more people are being held in solitary in the United States, and it's also a thing
here where I live, so I want to learn more about it.
I'm especially drawn by the range of diverse voices that are going to be included.
And this is from Haymarket Books.
Next is a book that I mentioned in my Latinx-a-thon TBR, and that is
False Calm: A Journey Through the Ghost Towns of Patagonia by María Sonia Cristoff, and
it's translated by Katherine Silver.
This will be out from Transit Books, which is a newer publishing house.
It's in Oakland, California and they do mostly translated work.
And it will be out October 2nd.
What drew me to this book is that in the description it's called "part reporting, part personal
essay, and part travelogue".
Now that's all non-fiction, and it's all in translation, which is rare.
Most translated work is in fiction.
So I want to check it out for that.
Also, it's about the oil boom towns that then went bust.
I know nothing about that, excited to learn more here.
The next book I have for you comes out October 9th.
And that's Tilly and the Crazy Eights by Monique Gray Smith.
Smith is an indigenous author and this is a story about indigenous people.
Tilly is invited to help drive a group of eight elders down to the Gathering of Nations
Powwow in Albuquerque.
This is on their bucket list, they've always wanted to do it.
On the way each elder chooses a stop that they've always wanted to make.
Apparently they'll stop at the redwood forests and Vegas.
And it sounds like it might be, along with the overarching story, a group of linked short
stories, kind of that feel to it.
But I'm not sure, I haven't read it yet.
I'm always for own voices representation as well as indigenous representation, so I'm
really curious to see what this one is like.
Next on October 16th, I have some American history from...
Knopf.
"Cun-off", right?
Knopf.
It's American Dialogue:The Founders and Us by Joseph Ellis.
I feel like in America right now there's lots of thoughts like, what would our founders
think?
Was this really what they intended?
Ellis takes a look at four different issues through the eyes of four different founders.
I think it's Jefferson, Washington, Madison... and I'm blanking on the fourth one.
Normally I would be worried that the author would be pushing their own point of view into
the heads of the founders and kind of, pushing their own agenda.
However, Ellis is a historian.
He's written biographies of, I'm pretty sure the four guys in this book, so I feel like
he's qualified to think about these brain twisting issues.
I think it's Jefferson on racism, which sounds so fraught already, but I'm curious.
Washington on American imperialism, Madison on authorial intent.
'Cause Madison is basically the guy who wrote the constitution.
So this exercise is academic, maybe, but I'm just really curious to see what Ellis thinks.
And this last book, guys.
I don't...
I don't know if I'm really anticipating this.
All the books up until now have been anticipating, "yea, I can't wait to get my hands on it".
This is kind of anticipating, "ooo I hope it's okay because I'm worried because if you
mess it with it I'm going to grrrr".
Anyway, I should tell you what it is.
It's Marilla of Green Gables by Sarah McCoy.
It's out by *William Morrow, and it comes out October 23rd.
Now, I love Anne of Green Gables.
I read most of the series when I was a kid.
On a family vacation in Canada even though we were nowhere near Prince Edward Island
we came across an Anne of Green Gables gift shop and I thought I was in heaven.
The PBS series with Megan Follows - I love me my Anne of Green Gables.
So the thought of another author going in there and writing Marilla's backstory...
Marilla is kind of the mother figure to Anne.
She and Matthew end up adopting Anne.
And...
I just don't know, guys.
I don't know.
Like, if it turns out great
I'll read it.
And I'll be so excited to read it.
But it seems like there so many other things that can go wrong.
I don't know.
I don't know.
So let me know if you have thoughts about it or if you happen to get an advance copy
and give me a heads up.
Or if you're watching this video later and you've read it and you can let me know 'cause
I'm...
I'm anticipating and conflicted.
There we have it, my Most Anticipated Reads for October 2018.
Have I piqued your interest in any of these books?
Do you have any others that you can recommend to me?
Leave me a note down in the comments below, and subscribe if you're new.
And I will see you in my next video.
Bye!

パラコードで キングコブラ編みブレスレット Paracord King Cobra Bracelet - Duration: 5:27.
This time, I tried to make King Cobra knitting bracelet with para cord.
Two colors, respectively, I cut it in about 3 m.
First of all,
Close the place about 30 cm from the bottom with a clothespin.
We decide the length of completion and fasten with the washing clamp.
Lay it like this.
Make a loop with the right string,
Lower the string on the left,
Pass through the loop from the bottom.
Because I will pass the string at the end here,
Keep the string, one space for it.
Next, make a circle on the left,
Lower the right from the top,
Pass through the loop from the bottom.
We will make the loops with right, left, right and weave.
Once knitted to a certain extent, Even if you remove a thing you can remove it is okay.
I knit it to the bottom.
Inverted,
I flip it over.
Next we will further weave from the top of the stitch.
If you knit it for a while it looks like this.
After knitting to the bottom,
Cut the extra part,
I will stop fraying with a writer etc.
I will pass the end through the first ring.
As I get a hand,
I will make a knot.
done.
King Cobra knitting, It is characterized by volume sense than cobra knitting.
