R: Oh yeah... really it's a long story but I'll keep it short for you

I was planning to go air suspension which means

you can raise or lower the car

E: yeah

I was wanting to do that but then I realized that...

it's not really the best idea for my car because

of how my suspension is set up

the air bags would hit the rear of the brakes at full turn

and I don't want any risk of blowing the bag

E: yeah

R: Literally a bag, a rubber bag that holds 200 psi. That's a lot!

It's a lot of pressure so if your brakes are hot and you're turning

The heat from the brakes would make a hole in the bag

and air would leak out

I don't want that

E: yeah one thing I've always appreciate about Ryan and how he does his car or he

makes decisions about his car is that he's always prioritizing safety and so I

don't feel so nervous when I'm in the car with him because I trust that he

always makes sure it's safe for us to drive

R: Yes I mean especially when it has so much power in it.

I mean it's not even funny, playing with safety. Not even funny

E: yeah. Safety's always first!

R: Yes of course!

R: I'm redoing all of it and fixing everything.

While i'm doing it you know

Replacing all the rubber pieces because they're old. Replacing it all!

E: today Ryan's brother was suppose to drop off

his dog Missy was supposed to drop her off today but he

said that he's not

we told him he should drop her off anyways

E: All your tools are everywhere

R: Honestly I don't like it either

that is attached to that flower

it's like yellow now supposed to be

green and I don't want that to happen or

Ever since we moved in together we haven't been

getting good sleep

because

I mean we have a queen bed. That's big

R: not big enough!

R: when I got the queen bed a few years ago, I thought it was HUGE

But it's not big enough and not comfortable enough for us

Well it's because I kick when I sleep

So I will literally like kick him and then so he can't asleep last

night you didn't see huh

R: nope

yeah and when I wake up or when I move then he wakes up

because he feels it and

vice versa. If he moves then I

wake up and then we just don't get a

bed and put on the sheets on

and we were gonna go to sleep

but he's still working

Today I am streaming from the Golden Gate Bridge.

I am out right now in San Francisco, obviously,

at Salesforce's big huge event.

It's called Dreamforce.

When we decided to come out here everyone kept asking like

why are you guys going to Salesforce's event?

What's the point of it?

So I wanna kinda tell a story to understand

why we're here and hopefully it helps you guys as well.

(conch blaring)

- [Announcer] : Please welcome chairman and co-CEO

of Salesforce, Marc Benioff.

(crowd applause)

- [Instructor] We are all moving forward.

We're moving at the force of the Industrial Revolution.

We're moving from the first revolution of steam,

to the second revolution of electricity.

We've moved into the third revolution with computers.

Now we're in the fourth revolution.

- [Russell Brunson] The Salesforce event is here.

Super excited because Funnel Hacking Live

every year keeps getting bigger and bigger.

This year we ran 5000 people but Sales Force,

this is like they have 170,000 companies

come through San Francisco.

All of San Francisco shuts down.

- [Marc Benioff] Tomorrow night my friend right here

is gonna play for his venue with his band Metallica!

(crowd cheers)

- [Marc Benioff] Yeah.

- It's insane.

(rhythmic, chime music)

- Where's the bedroom?

- [Russell Brunson] I want like some either

vegan food or some bacon, oh and some green drinks.

We're in California so this is where

like hippies eat so we gotta eat some

hippie cool food.

So I've been to San Francisco.

This is my second time.

First time is at this event that Todd and I were sharing

a hotel room because we didn't have very much money.

We're talking about like the big idea.

It was the pre-cursor to Clickfunnels.

It was called WPUndies and we got a logo designed.

It was the WordPress logo wearing the

little tighty-whitey undies and that was the big idea

that later became Clickfunnels.

I thought it was the better idea though.

- Why do you hate money?

It's one of our many Brunson isms.

- What's up?

- Aw man. I'm dying.

- [Russell] Ryan you need to tell Dan

the story on video about last year with Cuban.

He texted us, we're in the middle of a partner meeting.

He's like hey I'm in a room with 100 people

and Mark Cuban, what should I ask him?

So as a joke I texted back I'm like

ask him what it would take to get bought

for a billion dollars.

Just totally joking.

- So I was like okay let's do this.

It's like the rooms full of like dudes in suits

and okay the other thing you forget is I'm

the one guy in the room wearing a Hawaiian shirt.

Dude comes over taps me on the shoulder,

hands me the mic and I'm going oh my God,

I'm the last question?

Wearing a Hawaiian shirt I'm supposed

to ask how we get bought by a billion dollars and

there's Tony Rodoni their

Executive Vice President of Sales.

I'm like alright let's do this.

I kinda set it up as this little story as

like we haven't had any funding and we just hit

our first hundred million dollars.

How do we get bought?

How do we take it to the next level and get like

Salesforce to buy us for a billion dollars?

That was how I set it up.

- To Mark Cuban!

- Yeah to Mark Cuban.

Everyone in the room laughs.

He thinks it's awesome.

Unfortunately, his answer was a total dodge

and he just gave me this b.s. like oh it sounds

like you guys are doing everything right

you don't need my help.

And I was like what?

Way to leave me hanging.

(energetic drum melody)

We're hitting Sales Force.

We knew that if a bunch of introverts

came it would be really awkward.

We'd be all excited, we'd go hide in our rooms.

We are the introverts here on the team. So I have my extroverted half which is Dave.

Dave goes out kills things and brings it back to me.

And I'm like oh cool.

Todd's got his extrovert who is Ryan

who is actually out killing something right now.

The trail head is where the beginning of like

the Salesforce success path and

this is all different classes and workshops

and stations to help you to go

have success with the customer.

There's 2700 presentations that happen

during this weekend and there's one up right now called

Customizing Page Density and Sales Force

Lightning Design System.

Not as exciting as funnels but you know.

You notice the design

and everything like the branding.

The feeling in here is kind of like this cool

like your actually at a camp ground.

When you walk by stuff in here like there's

bird's chirping and waterfall sound.

The ambiance is amazing.

Now we're back in the convention space.

Salesforce San Francisco.

So Salesforce just bought this company

right here for $6.5 billion dollars earlier

this year so it's some chump change laying around.

- [Dave] With a B.

- And that's the size of their booth.

So MuleSoft is software that helps

take data from one spot to the other.

So they bought em for 6 billion

and now MuleSoft is a character.

They build a mule out.

You buy the company, you make a character,

animate it and now it's got a big ole booth

showing how MuleSoft works.

- [Man] Oh my goodness, is that Russell Brunson?

- [Woman] Russell Brunson's in our booth!

- Are you kidding me dude?

Brunson is in the house!

There's some big booths back here.

- So we should splat a million dollar booth

next time and just be like take that IBM.

- You know what we should have is a funnel

that's also a slide so you can go down

and then, just a little ride.

- What?

I don't know. So we started at 0.8 miles

away from Stripes headquarters.

We walked around for about twenty minutes

and now we're 1.1 miles away from Stripes headquarters.

So it's not working out to well

and I should probably look not down at my phone.

- Nice to meet you.

- Hey Russell, nice to meet you.

- Salesforce!

- This is it.

- Oh that is sixty inches off.

Alright so Tony Robbins told me there's

two ways to go to the tallest building in town.

Number 1 is actually to build the tallest

building in town and number 2 is to

knock down all the other buildings around you

so granted that one's really big.

I'm jealous, I'm not going to lie.

This tower is insane.

Dude even the lobby it's like it's wrapped in LED walls.

Alright we found out how much this building

actually cost to build.

What's the guess?

We all know.

$1.1 billion dollars to build this building.

Do they just put their cloud on every building?

- [Ryan] All these buildings theirs?

Holy.

- [Russell] Is it?

- [Ryan] Why else would it have a huge logo

on the side of it?

Salesforce transit center.

You have your own like metro station.

Dude that's insane.

- [Russell] Whoa.

- [Dave] That's like Funnels Transit Center.

- [Russell] We'll funnel you to wherever you need to go.

- [Dave] That's right.

(lighthearted keyboard music)

- [Russell] Salesforce is the biggest company

in my world right?

I think they said last year they did

$13 billion dollars in sales.

My little Funnel Hacking Live that I thought

was so cool and so big, it's tiny in comparison.

As we're talking about coming out here

and thinking we should come, I remembered

a story that I thought was really, really important.

When I got started wrestling there was the state tournament.

My dad took me to the state tournament

and I remember sitting up in the stands

and watching the people in the city of Utah.

The best of the best wrestling, competing

and I remember sitting there watching

and I was like oh my gosh, there's these guys

from my high school who won a state title.

And then we're going back home and I was like

I want to be a state champ.

I set that as my goal.

I set it as a target and I started going.

I started running, started moving.

Fast forward now a couple of years.

Well I won the state title and it was awesome.

It was amazing and everything and in college I never went

to the NCA tournament.

I never went to nationals.

I never saw those things, right.

I had it as a goal, I was like I want to

be a national champ but I never actually seen it.

I missed my goal every year.

I actually had a friend.

His dad used to always take him to national tournaments

because he didn't care about being a state champ,

he just wanted to be a national champion.

I'm going to try to be a national champion

and there I'm thinking like gosh because I never

seen a national tournament, I didn't even know

what it looked like.

It's hard to run towards something you haven't seen.

Fast forward now to this event, right.

Last year, a bunch of guys from my team

came out so they were telling me like it's a whole

different level, and as they were telling about

it I was like oh my gosh, that's the next level.

I need to go and witness.

I need to go see it just like I went to go to the national

tournament cause as soon as I see it

then it becomes real and now I got

a goal, right.

You always start thinking.

I want you to open your vision of like

what's the platform I can create?

In fact, a little while ago we were doing the math

on how many jobs had been created because of Clickfunnels.

It's fascinating.

There's like the jobs of our employees, right?

Then there's the jobs of all the 65,000 customers,

all their employees.

Then the extra jobs.

There's the copywriters, the designers,

the programmers, like all the other things.

Conservative guess was about 250,000 jobs have

been created because of Clickfunnels.

We've created a whole ecosystem of people, right?

It's funny cause coming in yesterday

I was a little intimidated but after sitting

in that room with five thousand other businesses

and watching Marc Benioff deliver his keynote

and seeing the people, seeing the software,

seeing the innovation, seeing the ecosystem,

seeing all this stuff that I was watching it was like

this is just another tournament.

It's on a bigger stage but I can compete at this level.

I wish I would have seen this five years ago

cause that would have shifted everything.

I would of had more belief and when you believe

you can actually accomplish, right?

What we could do, what can't do, like the path

has been trail blazed for us.

The first lesson is for you.

Is to go see whatever your aspiring to become like

go and find that and experience it so you can

see it so it's not just this scary weird thing

that's like tangible.

I can do that.

Alright guys with that said my fingers are frozen.

I'm gonna go and watch the sunrise here.

- [Todd's Wife] You guys have taken this company

to a whole nother level like I know that

there are companies that are bigger and make more

money, but this is a family owned business

and like although you guys aren't related

you guys have always treated each other

as if you're brothers.

I think that whatever you guys set your mind to,

it absolutely can happen.

You don't have to hook me on it.

If this is something that you guys are

all in agreement with like I will be the

cheerleader, and I'll say rah rah go Clickfunnels

and I'll wear the t-shirt.

I will trash talk Leadpages.

(laughter)

- [Russell] So it's the last day.

We've been here for a couple days

and we decided we wanna walk and talk

and just kind of brain dump.

It's been so cool because there's

all these businesses who started like us.

We went to Stripe, right?

We saw this company that was an idea that somebody had.

We saw Voxer.

We saw Optimizer.

We saw all these companies, tech companies

in our same space doing amazing things

and just helped us to see the vision

of like what's actually possible.

I think sometimes we're in our bubble

where we're in Boise or in our hometowns

and we don't see.

We don't see what happens in the tech capitals

of the world like this and when you see something like this,

your like oh my gosh like this is what's possible.

How many more people can we serve when we

have infrastructure like this?

Now we know.

Now we see.

The other side of that gets me pumped.

We're excited to head back home and start implementing

some of the stuff, come with ideas.

My name is Rodger Koller and this video is going to be very quick

extremely quick, actually, because

I just have 5 minutes to record it before my next class

So, without any further ado let's get started

This video is from a series named:

"real-life English"

and today we're going to talk about something that has just happened in my real life

Yeah, it happened 25 minutes ago

and I've decided to share it with you because it was a nice story

as you know, I'm a teacher, I teach via Skype

and for some reason, 50% of my students are teenagers

Ok, so some minutes ago I was teaching a 16 year-old girl

and she is at the advanced level

She is brilliant

She is Brazilian and she speaks English really well

The topic of the class today was "How can music save the world?"

we are following a book and that was the topic today

and coincidentally she was wearing a QUEEN t-shirt

and I really like QUEEN, the band...

So I said "OH!!!....You're wearing a Queen T-shirt, that is so cool!"

I was really surprised and impressed because most teenagers don't even know them

but then she said:

"Yeah, I love QUEEN, I have three QUEEN t-shirts and a QUEEN purse"

When she said that, I remained quiet for a second

and I thought "I mentioned QUEEN, one of the greatest bands of all time and she's talking about clothes

and accessories"

"Oh my God! She doesn't know that they were a band!"

"She thinks it's a clothing brand!"

By the way, I talked to her before and she agreed that I could make a video talking about it

so she has totally given me permission to tell you this story and she has just asked me not to mention her name

That was the only condition

So

Marcella, if you're watching this, thank you very much!"

Just kidding! Her name is not Marcella!

But then I looked at her and then I said:

You know that QUEEN were a band, don't you?

But before I tell you what she answered I must say that names of bands are treated as plural in British English

So, you say things like

but in American English, people normally say:

Basically both ways are accepted

But getting back to what I was saying before

I looked at her and I said "Paula"

"You know that QUEEN were a band, don't you?"

and she said

"No, I thought it was a clothing brand"

You might think I got angry with her answer

But no, I seriously understand that teenagers don't know the great old bands

because they haven't been exposed to them, it's simple

I don't know why peple get upset when teenagers say that they don't know who The Beatles were, for example

It's ok and natural

and I'm a teacher, I've already come across some teenagers that thought that Nirvana was a clothing brand

so when Paula said that she thought that QUEEN was a clothing brand

It was ok, because

I had seen things like that before

By the way, my student's name is not Paula, ok?

I've made up that name

but then I asked her what sort of music she liked and she said that she loved rap and her favourite artist was:

By the way, she told me that the correct pronunciation of his name is nor Kanye but Kanye

Anyway, she told me that her favourite artist was Kanye West

So, I told her that I had no idea who Kanye West was

and she got offended and really upset, really! And she said:

"I can't believe you don't know who Kanye West is! He is the greatest artist that this planet has ever seen!!!"

So, I smiled at her and I asked her "But do you know Led Zeppelin?"

and she said "No"

and I asked her: "Do you know Nirvana?" and she smiled and she said:

"I thought it was another clothing brand, but you're going to say that it's a band as well, aren't you?"

and I said "Umhuuuuum"

We looked at each other and we laughed a lot

The thing is, I don't know the new artists and she doesn't know the old artists

and it's ok. Why would we be upset about it?

She is not right and I'm not wrong and

I showed her some of the bands I like and she loved all of them

and she showed me some of the artists that she loves

and I hated all of them

but it's natural because old music is so much better

than music nowadays

We debated for a long time and she was trying to prove me wrong

and in her opinion, Kanye West is a much better artists than Freddie Mercury

I asked her why and she said:

"Because Kanye changed the music industry, he has been on the cover of the Rolling Stones magazine "

"so many times that I can't even remember"

"His songs are always number one on the radio"

"in the USA...He has won more than 20 Grammys"

"Can you believe it? MORE THAN 20 GRAMMYS!!!

"Why do you think that Freddie Mercury was better than Kanye West?!"

"It's insane"

I smiled at her and I said:

Because he could sing

But we were laughing all the time

while we were debating about music

What I like about debates is that it forces my intermediate and advanced students

to use English in order to try to prove their point

in order to try to prove they are right

so I think it's a healthy thing to do

after our class she still believes that Kanye West is better than Freddie Mercury

I couldn't convince her otherwise

I still believe that Freddie was much better than Kanye West

So, please leave a comment telling me your opinion about that

and if you think that old music is better than music nowadays...You are right.

and it's really ok if we have different opinions because

then we can debate about it and it's a great opportunity

to practice English, isn't it?

there's a lot of noise and a lot of junk on there

but there's a lot of really cool things that I really

don't see in American markets

all sell similar/ the same products

and it's just a matter of different sellers

for me, my experience with buying these telescopic rods is

it's 50/50

sometimes they're absolute junk

and sometimes they're actually pretty good

and they're great for my kayak, they're great for just having in my truck

The name of the preset is the name of our band, Touche Amore.

We couldn't come up with something better on the, or more clever on the spot.

[LAUGH] But it's pretty much what we use,

it's like a lot of clean headroom.

I think it's model after a Twin and some form of a clean boost,

light overdrive so that it's more dynamic with your playing.

If you're playing soft it's just got a little bit more emphasis on it, but

if you dig in it gets a little dirtier.

We've got a reverb, spring reverb on there and kind of an analog, organic

sounding delay, and a little bit of chorus for kind of some modulation on the reverb.

But still everything's real clean and articulate, nice sounding.

>> I think the reverbs on here are extremely usable.

They're plug and play.

You don't have to mess around with it.

They're very standard, good sounding reverbs that you would be able to

dial in on any really that has built in reverb.

>> Yeah. And it doesn't seem there's a really high

learning curve either.

You can play around a bit without having to be a scientist.

>> I'm very impressed with how close the Twin sounds on these Mustang amps

because usually what I like is that sweet spot before the tubes start to break up.

And with this I feel like the addition of being able to put a little like

a little boost pedal or a little bit of reverbs,

these sort of things, you can get a pretty close emulation of that sound.

With this, especially the ability to put in the effects and make an effects chain,

you can advance a lot further with coming up with ideas and stuff like that.

>> You can try things out without having to go buy a full set of stuff at

the store.

I mean, I grew up on bands like Rage Against the Machine, and I'd always try

and emulate kind of the sounds that they were making, but that's expensive.

You have to buy five or six kind of pricey pedals, and

you don't know if you really like them.

You can try them at the guitar store,

and it's not the same as playing at home in your bedroom.

So I had two little Squier practice amps growing up.

And I bought a stereo delay, so that I could try and

make these different sounds and separate them that way.

But this has so much room for experimentation.

Especially if I was younger, having these tools would be amazing.

>> Yeah, I think experimentation is how you create.

So it's not just like, yeah, you're inspired by something,

you want to emulate it, and then you kind of come across your own thing.

And that's a lot of what creating ends up being is some form of that.

It would be a huge inspiration, when you're starting out especially,

to be able to mess with all these different effects.

If you like what you hear from a certain band, like for instance,

our preset that we made here, you can just go directly onto the Fender Tone app and

search up the name, the preset comes up, you can start with that, and

then you can dig into all the different effects, add your own things to it.

And I think that's a really cool feature of this thing.

a little boost pedal or a little bit of reverbs,

these sort of things, you can get a pretty close emulation of that sound.

With this, especially the ability to put in the effects and make an effects chain,

you can advance a lot further with coming up with ideas and stuff like that.

>> You can try things out without having to go buy a full set of stuff at

the store.

I mean, I grew up on bands like Rage Against the Machine, and I'd always try

and emulate kind of the sounds that they were making, but that's expensive.

You have to buy five or six kind of pricey pedals, and

you don't know if you really like them.

You can try them at the guitar store,

and it's not the same as playing at home in your bedroom.

So I had two little Squier practice amps growing up.

And I bought a stereo delay, so that I could try and

make these different sounds and separate them that way.

But this has so much room for experimentation.

Especially if I was younger, having these tools would be amazing.

>> Yeah, I think experimentation is how you create.

So it's not just like, yeah, you're inspired by something,

you want to emulate it, and then you kind of come across your own thing.

And that's a lot of what creating ends up being is some form of that.

It would be a huge inspiration, when you're starting out especially,

to be able to mess with all these different effects.

If you like what you hear from a certain band, like for instance,

our preset that we made here, you can just go directly onto the Fender Tone app and

search up the name, the preset comes up, you can start with that, and

then you can dig into all the different effects, add your own things to it.

And I think that's a really cool feature of this thing.

acceleration in the red zone, how many times will the engines work well,

I have a youtube channel in Korea I've been working since 2001, okay you don't

want to always be accelerating in the red zone, having the rpms as high as you can

possibly get, it will wear the engine out faster that's just the way that it is, I

can't give any timeframe you know I'd need to know the vehicle how many miles

it is on it, but the red zone is there for hard

acceleration, you don't want to be driving in a red zone all the time cuz

you'll just wear the engine out faster, now if you like going fast you don't mind it

you're gonna buy another car or another engine and you know where's it's going, go ahead it's

your money, but your best to have your car when you're running at the lowest

rpm possible for that speed that's why there's overdrive, so when you're on a

highway you have a car in overdrive so it gets better gas much the engine spins

slower and it lasts longer, Kelvin Owen says Scotty does an

early model Honda Civic eh2 or BMW e30 make for a good first project cars,

the Honda Civic would make a very good project car, the BMW would only make

a good project car if your father was a millionaire and he didn't care that he

throws money at you all the time, cuz those things are endless money pits the parts

cost a fortune if you ever have to rebuild a BMW engine, it costs a fortune

to do it correctly, where Honda's, there's so many Honda's out there and kids wreck

them all the time from racing around, you can get a good used engine for Honda,

because they have knock sensors, if it starts pinging then the computer will

just lower the advance of the ignition system, so it won't have the same

acceleration but it won't ping, so it won't hurt anything you just lose a

Subaru Forester burns one quart of oil every 800 miles

apparently there's recall on engines less than a hundred thousand but bought mine with

102,000 is there anything to prevent oil burning, well in that case not much you

can really do, here's the thing boxer engines as they age often burn oil

is the nature of the design of those things, 1 quart every 800 miles isn't all that bad,

you can change the PCV valve, sometimes the PCV valve will suck oil in and burn it

and that's the problem, but I know the engines it's normally the piston rings

wear the valve seals wear, nothing is really gonna affect that but I have had

some customers have good luck I'll switch to a high quality oil like

they'll get Castrol and I'll buy a little heavier weight Castrol and they'll

put one quart of lucas oil conditioner in with the mix, so if it's 4 quarts of oil put 3 quarts of the Catrol and one of the lucas oil additive, and sometimes it'll

burn less oil, you can see what happens with that

the SHO engines they're good engines, they can zip around, now as they get old and they Age

they can have a lot of problems and cost a lot of money to fix, but that thing is only

got 24,000 mile but it's six years old, so if you're talking about buying a used

at a low price that you're happy with and you road test it and take it to a

with CRVs they have 350 thousand miles they're still running, sixty thousand

miles is nothing on one of those things, if the previous owner at least changed the

oil in it regularly, you shouldn't be having any problems at all you know you

got a good deal, if that's the only

mileage that it actually has on it, beast mode says I got a 2012 Chevy Equinox and the

drivers taillight won't work, I changed all the bulbs thanks, the drivers tail

light doesn't work, so you changed the bulbs, Chevy's are notorious for having ground

wire problem, for any bulb to work, you have to have power, positive electricity, but

also negative electricity which is the ground, so if the ground wire is bad, it won't

work either, so check that black ground wire first and if you've ever been in a

wreck or got your lens cracked, water gets inside and then that messes up the sockets

and a lot of times they'll need a new socket then they'll get all corroded
