Improve your English: WHO or WHOM? - Duration: 14:46.
Hey, everyone. I'm Alex.
Thanks for clicking, and welcome to this lesson on "Who" vs. "Whom".
That's right, today we are going to look at one of the most commonly confused and asked
about subjects in the English language, not just by new English learners but native speakers
as well.
So, we're going to use some grammar terminology, but I'm also going to give you some examples
that will make it very clear what the difference between these two words is.
So, first I'm going to talk about how to use them in statements, and after I'm going to
show you how to use them with quantifiers, and at the end I'll look at some question
examples with these two.
So, let's start.
First: "who" and "whom".
These are relative pronouns.
Now, what this means is "who" is a subject relative pronoun, "whom" is an object relative pronoun.
What does this mean?
Well, this means that when you use "who" in a sentence to give more information about
something, you are using it to give more information about a subject.
When you use "whom", you're using it to give more information about the object of a sentence.
So let's look at some examples first with "who".
Number one: "I have an uncle who works for Apple."
Number two: "There's someone who is waiting for you."
Number three: "Tom, who's been working here forever, recently found a new job."
What do they all have in common?
Well, they all have a subject, a person who you're giving more information about.
So, I'm going to mark things up a little bit so you can see how this works.
"I have an uncle who works for Apple."
Who are you giving more information about in this sentence?
You are giving more information about your uncle.
So you have "who", and "who" relates to an uncle.
Now, this uncle is doing an action.
The uncle works for Apple.
So, if you have a subject, you're giving more information about the subject, and the subject
is doing an action after who, then you use "who".
All right?
"I have an uncle who works", he works for Apple.
Next: "There is someone who is waiting for you."
So we have "who".
Who does "who" relate to?
"Who" relates to "someone", a mystery person.
So there's someone who is waiting for you.
Yes, we are giving more information about someone, and the someone is doing an action.
So here they are waiting.
So I have someone...
There is someone who is waiting.
They are the ones who are doing the action.
Next: "Tom, who's been working here forever, recently found a new job."
So we have "who", I'm just going to mark "who's", "who has" been working.
And yes, we are talking about Tom.
And we are saying that Tom has been working here.
So if the subject of the sentence is doing the action here, then you need to use "who".
Next: "whom".
Three sentences.
One: "Ghandi is someone whom most people admire."
Two: "That's the guy whom she married."
Three: "My best friend, whom I've known for 10 years, is getting married."
So, what's the difference between these sentences and the sentences with "who"?
Hmm.
"Ghandi is someone whom most people admire."
Yes, the sentence is about Ghandi.
We are talking about Ghandi in this sentence.
But also important: Is Ghandi doing an action in this sentence or is he receiving an action
in this sentence?
Here we have: "Ghandi is someone whom most people admire."
The sentence is actually talking about the people who admire Ghandi.
The people are doing an action to Ghandi,
and Ghandi is receiving the action in this sentence.
So, here, and this is true in most cases, after "whom" you usually have someone who
does the action to someone else.
So: "Ghandi is someone whom most people admire."
Next: "That's the guy whom she married."
We see "whom".
Who does "whom" relate to?
Yes, we are talking about the guy, but the guy is receiving the action.
He's actually an object here, because she married him.
Now, I don't mean that the man is an object and the woman is the...
An object in many cases, so I don't mean any of that.
But grammatically, that's the guy whom she married.
The guy is receiving the action of marriage from her.
And finally: "My best friend, whom I have known for 10 years, is getting married."
Here we have "whom".
Who are we talking about?
Okay, my best friend, yeah.
But my best friend is receiving an action here.
I have known my best friend.
Okay?
So here, I'm saying I have known my best friend.
I have known him or her.
Okay?
So if this person that you want to talk about is receiving some kind of action, like:
"Ghandi is someone whom most people admire.",
"That's the guy whom she married.",
"My best friend, whom I've known for 10 years, is getting married."
If you have these cases you must use "whom".
A very easy trick, quick and easy to remember: In most cases, when you use "who" you're going
to use a verb after it.
Okay?
So: "He's someone who works all the time.", "They are a couple who is very happy."
And "whom" most of the time you are going to have a pronoun, a person, someone's name
after it.
So: "He is someone whom many people respect."
Or: "She's someone whom I love."
Now, I say most cases because in the passive voice you could also say:
"Ghandi is someone whom is admired."
And obviously we're saying by many people in this situation.
Okay, I'm going to go to the next room and we're going to look at quantifiers with "who"
or "whom", and we're going to look at questions with "who" or "whom".
Come with me.
Oh, you guys are already here.
Perfect.
All right, so next we're going to talk about "who" and "whom" with quantifiers.
Now, don't let the word "quantifiers" scare you.
Quantifiers just mean words that talk about quantity, like "many"; or numbers like "one",
"two", "three", "four", "five"; or "some; or "most; or "20%".
It can be anything that involves numbers, and quantity, and size.
Okay?
So, here I have two sentences.
First: "My students, most of whom are from Brazil, have a test today."
Next: "There are 20 people at the party, 16 of whom I know."
Now, here: "most of whom are from Brazil", "16 of whom I know",
these are actually adjective clauses that include quantifiers in them,
an expression of quantity.
And first thing I want to do is explain the formula to you.
So when you use this construction, you need your subject, you need a subject like:
"my students" or "20 people at the party".
So, after that you need quantifier.
For quantifier, I'm just going to put "q" plus "of" plus "whom" plus other info.
I'm just going to put "other info".
So it's always: "most of whom", "some of whom",
"three of whom", "two of whom", "30% of whom",
and you'll also notice I'm always saying: "whom", "whom", "whom", "whom".
This is one case where you always have to say "whom".
Okay?
You cannot say: "Most of who".
It's always: "Most of whom", "three of whom", etc.
So, let's look at these one more time.
"My students, most of whom are from Brazil, have a test today."
They have a test today.
And next: "There are 20 people at the party, 16 of whom I know."
So I know 16 people at the party, and the party has 20 people.
So just remember when you have this construction you need to use "whom".
And there is actually a lesson on this on my engVid channel, so you can check that out,
too, if you want more detailed explanation.
And finally, questions.
Now, questions are tricky...
And all of this is tricky actually, but questions in particular because very few people, especially
native speakers use "whom" in a question form, most of the time because they don't know the rule.
And the rule is followed in the same way like I explained at the beginning where "who" is
subject relative, "whom" is object relative.
So, I have four questions.
Let's look at the first one.
"Who saw the accident?"
These are all correct, by the way.
There are no mistakes in these questions.
"Who saw the accident?"
You're asking a question about: Who saw?
Who did the action of seeing?
So here it's obvious you must use "who" because the who, let's say his name is Marcus, and
I say: "Marcus saw the accident. Marcus is the person who saw the accident."
He did the action, so in the question: Who did the action?
Who saw the accident?
Next: "Whom did she pick for the job?"
Now, here, we have to use "whom" because she, the boss, is picking them.
Okay?
So if I say: "She picked Jack", and Jack is the person who got the job.
Okay, Jack is the one whom she picked.
She picked him.
So here, again, we don't know whom she picked.
She did the action to this person.
So: "Whom did she pick for the job?"
Next: "Do you know who won last night?"
So I'm watching a soccer game, I'm watching a hockey game, and you know, I watched it,
my friend did not watch it.
And he says: "Hey. You saw the game last night.
Do you know who won?"
So here, obviously, the team who won is the team who did the action of scoring and winning.
So we have to use "who".
And finally: "Do you know whom she was talking about?"
So she was talking about someone else.
We don't know who, and again, the correct way to say it is in this situation:
"whom she was talking about", because she is giving us more information.
We don't know whom she did the action of talking about to.
I'm sorry, that's very complex.
So, honestly, guys, in most cases most native speakers just say "who", especially in questions.
So if you say "who" and you're a new English learner, do not worry because almost no one
will know that you are making a mistake.
And even though it is technically a grammar mistake, it's so commonly used and accepted
that it's not really a mistake.
As a grammar teacher, I'm telling you that.
What's more important, the fact that you speak correct English or the fact that you speak
English that other people are using all around you and you want to interact with those people?
Both are important, correct English, but it's more important that you are using the English
that native speakers are using.
Whew.
So that's a lot of information today, and I hope that I was able to erase some of your
doubts, some of your confusion about this very complex topic.
And if you want to test your understanding, and if you want to know for sure that you
know the difference between "who" and "whom", as always, you can check out the quiz on www.engvid.com.
And if you liked this video,
don't forget to comment on it, like it, subscribe to the channel, and check me out on Facebook and Twitter.
I've got a lot of stuff on there, pictures of me with lightsabers and stuff like that,

FAMILY TIME WITH EXPLODING PEEPS! [CC] #SSSVEDA - Duration: 9:14.
Let's go find out where Alton is.
That's our neighbors.
They have six boys!
Hey Little Man!
Did we have a good walk?
Huh?
Did we have a good walk?
They have like a big trampoline in their yard.
Oh my god, when those kids get going...
(sounds of kids playing loudly and screaming)
Here, let's see if you can get a listen.
(more sounds of kids playing loudly, laughing, screaming and crying)
Oh my god!
Welcome to my world!
So yeah, today is... oh...
the battery is about to die.
It's the Sunday before Easter so that means it's Palm
Sunday. And that means that tonight we're
having a family gathering at Drew's mom's
house because they're going to be out of
town for Easter. So we are going to be
doing some work to get ready for that.
Got the Masters on TV.
Fun fact: I used to live near Augusta Georgia when I lived in Aiken, South Carolina.
And I used to drive by the Masters course all the time.
I never went to the Masters but it was
always fun to go out to the bars and the
clubs during Masters weekend and meet
some of the rich golfers who always came into town.
So today what I'm doing
right now is cutting up some tofu. Like I
said, Andrew and I are going to dinner at
his mom's house and both-- well, his
cousin is vegetarian and Andrew, umm...
has his Fodmap stuff. So we thought we
would bring a tofu curry dish that both
Andrew and Kelsey can eat.
(music plays)
I'm just going to let that coast until Andrew get's home.
And then we will get onto chopping the rest of the ingredients.
We put in some sweet potatoes, some... carrots, some baby corn,
Look who's home!
Can you find something to stick these in.
Awww, she'll love those. Nice.
Okay!! Carrots done! Scallions done!
Those are kind of big chunks aren't they Lovebug?
Yeah. But the thing is, that...
You are going to try to keep them from overcooking?
Yeah. The last two times they were too overdone.
Let's check it out!
Ahhhh!
Got the potatoes and the carrots going in their curry bath. Mmmm!
Yeah you can have a cookie. Get on your base.
Good boy!
Those are treats he actually likes!
(music plays)
So we are on our way to Drew's mom's house for a pre-Easter dinner.
Now, somewhere along the way they developed this tradition of sticking peeps
in the microwave and exploding them.
Do you know how that tradition began?
No.
Well you guys have been doing it ever since I've been around I think.
We've been doing it a lot longer than that.
Okay, well he says they've been doing it for a long time, but he doesn't know when it came about.
So we will see if I can film any of that. Because that can be interesting. Basically you stick toothpicks in peeps.
Well that's new. That is the peep jousting.
Peep jousting is new?
Peep jousting is new. We used to just stick them in the mircowave and blow them up.
Now we get them to try to joust each other with toothpicks.
Okay, so apparently it used to just be exploding, now it is actual, it is an actual contest of exploding, uhh, cobativeness.
Toothpick jousting peeps.
Yeah.
Dying Easter Eggs! Haven't done this in ages!
Yeah, I thought that would be a good, fun, start.
I'm assuming you have the eggs, right?
Yes, I do.
And we need... it's coming.
Some colors always do better than others, the pink is usually a sketchy one.
Blue is usually a pretty good one.
Yeah, sometimes green is too.
Yellow can be a bit sketchy. Yellow is pathetic.
We had a good experience with our sewer. We've been messing around with that sewer for a year.
Because we didn't know what was going to happen.
There is a lot of layers so I'm thinking like a minute and half.
Yeah.
Oh my god! (laughing)
Oh shit! He went down! He went down! (laughing)
It's a cake, not a--- (laughing)
A peep went down?
There's some spillage.
It is expanding out?
Ahhh, oh yeah.
It's going to be bigger than the microwave.
Oh no! (laughing) What does it look like?
But it wasn't smoking yet.
(laughing) Is it edible after being microwaved?
Eh yeah, it turns into meringue.
Hello son, Hi yeah, somebody has a wet mouth. You're hungry.
You can't eat the peep.
I'm so glad we brought flowers.
I'm going to get your food.
Don't close this door all the way okay.
Nope, I won't
Dinner? You want dinner?
Well we are home, and it is late. And this kitchen is a disaster
So that will be fun to look forward to.
Tomorrow I am going to be running some errands and I'll bring you along for that.
So, I hope you enjoyed today's video. It was fun hanging out with
the family and getting creative with Peeps.
But now I am going to go get ready for bed, and ah, yeah. So I hope you've had a great day as well.
And Alton wants to say hello, or should I say, goodnight.
Say goodnight to the people!
Goodnight!

Free Tuition Program Has Some Strings Attached... - Duration: 13:28.
MANY ARE
APPLAUDING NEW YORK FOR BEING
THE FIRST STATE THAT HAS CREATED A FREE TUITION PROGRAM FOR ITS
STATE COLLEGES.
THIS WOULDN'T ONLY AFFECT COMMUNITY COLLEGE,
IT
WOULD ALSO HAVE AN IMPACT ON
FOUR-YEAR INSTITUTIONS.
ANDREW CUOMO HAS BEEN APPLAUDED BY A
LOT OF PEOPLE, HOWEVER YOU NEED TO TAKE MORE OF A LOOK INTO WHAT
THEY REFERRED TO AS THE
EXCELSIOR SCHOLARSHIP.
STRANGE NAME.
TO SEE THAT THERE
ARE SOME SIGNIFICANT ISSUES AND IT COULD END UP BEING FAR WORSE
FOR POOR STUDENTS IN THE STATE.
LET ME GIVE YOU DETAILS.
IS EXPECTED TO CUT THE COST OF A
DEGREE FROM A FOUR-YEAR ñ NOT A
LOT OF STUDENTS ACTUALLY FINISH
IN TWO TO FOUR YEARS.
THERE ARE PROBLEMS BECAUSE BEFORE THIS
PAST ANDREW CUOMO HAD TO NEGOTIATE WITH LAWMAKERS, MANY
OF WHICH ARE REPUBLICAN.
THERE WERE A LOT OF REQUIREMENTS THAT
WERE NOT INCLUDED IN THIS POLICY UNTIL REPUBLICANS GOT INVOLVED.
NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THESE
REQUIREMENTS ARE WRITTEN INTO THE LAW.
IT WILL HELP PEOPLE.
I
THINK IT IS IMPORTANT THAT TUITION IS ON SOME POLITICIANS
RADAR.
HOWEVER THIS HAS MANY
HOLES AND FLAWS, IT COULD END UP BEING WORSE FOR STUDENTS.
ALSO
IF YOU DO GO TO ONE OF THESE COLLEGES, YOU MUST STAY IN THE
STATE FOR AS MANY YEARS AFTER YOU GRADUATE IF YOU TOOK
ADVANTAGE OF THAT PROGRAM.
THE IDEA IS THE STATE IS INVESTING
IN YOU, AND THEY WANT TO MAKE SURE YOU ARE INVESTING IN THE
STATE.
BUT THAT CAN HAVE A
NEGATIVE IMPACT ON MANY PEOPLE WHO ARE TRYING TO GET AN
EDUCATION AND SOMETHING THAT HAS A BIG MARKET IN A DIFFERENT
STATE.
FOR INSTANCE, YOU ARE NOT ABLE TO LEAVE FOR UP TO FOUR
YEARS AS A RESULT.
THESE ARE ALL
THE FLAWS.
>>THIS LOOKS LIKE IT PUTS MORE ñ IT SEEMS LIKE AN UNEMPLOYED
PERSON WHO CANNOT FIND WORK IN STATE IS VALUED ABOVE SOMEONE
WHO WOULD GO FIND A JOB MAY BE
IN NEW JERSEY OR CONNECTICUT.
LIKE YOU SAID IT DOES SEEM TO BE
OVERPLAYED HOW MUCH IT WOULD BE HELPFUL FOR MAKING COLLEGE MORE
ACCESSIBLE TO PEOPLE BECAUSE IT IS A LAST DOLLAR PROGRAM.
AND IT
ONLY APPLIES TO THESE PEOPLE
UNDER THESE CONDITIONS.
I WOULD LOVE TO SEE COLLEGE FOR ALL BUT
THIS ISN'T REALLY IT.
>>IT IS HARD FOR ME TO GET UPSET AT A PROGRAM THAT ESSENTIALLY IS
A LOWERING OF THE BURDEN FOR ANYONE.
THERE WILL BE PEOPLE WHO
HAVE A LOWER FINANCIAL BURDEN
FOR ATTENDING SCHOOLS.
I DON'T WANT TO SEEM LIKE I'M
COMPLAINING ABOUT THIS PROGRAM.
THE FACT THAT IT GOT THROUGH
GOVERNMENT ñ IN THIS SITUATION WE DO HAVE A LAW PASSED.
I
UNDERSTAND FULLY.
ON ONE HAND I
WANT TO SAY THERE IS WORSE STATES TO BE STUCK IN.
BUT THERE
ARE CHEAPER STATES TO BE STUCK
IN.
WHY IS THE COST OF EDUCATION SO HIGH IN THE FIRST PLACE?
>> BAND-AIDS FOR A HUGE PROBLEM IS NOT THE RIGHT WAY TO GO ABOUT
THIS.
I GET WHERE YOU ARE COMING FROM.
I AM TIRED OF SETTLING IN
MY TAXPAYER MONEY GOING TOWARD PRIVATE CONTRACTORS AND WEAPONS
MANUFACTURERS FOR WARS AS OPPOSED TO HELPING CREATE
OPPORTUNITIES FOR OUR PEOPLE.
I WANT FREE TUITION AT PUBLIC
INSTITUTIONS.
I DON'T WANT ALL OF THESE RIDICULOUS CAVEATS TO
STAY IN THE STATE.
GUESS WHAT?
THIS IS NEW YORK, MOST PEOPLE
PROBABLY MAKE MORE THAN THAT BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOU NEED TO
SURVIVE IN NEW YORK.
EVEN SO, THIS ASSUMPTION THAT IF YOUR
PARENTS ARE MAKING A CERTAIN AMOUNT OF MONEY THEY WILL HELP
YOU.
THAT IS NOT TRUE.
THERE ARE A LOT OF PARENTS THAT HAVE NO
INTEREST IN HELPING THEIR KIDS PAY FOR COLLEGE.
A LOT OF KIDS
ARE OUT THERE ON THEIR OWN
TRYING TO MAKE ENDS MEET.
THAT IS WHY THEY HAVE TO WORK.
IF YOU
ARE SAYING ONE OF THE STANDARDS
OR QUALIFICATIONS IS THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE A FULL-TIME LOAD OF
CLASSES OR YOU DON'T QUALIFY, THEN WHAT HAPPENS TO THE POOR
STUDENTS WHO ARE SOCIOECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED
AND HAVE TO WORK TO TAKE CARE OF THEMSELVES?
>> RIGHT, BECAUSE YOU ARE NOT PAYING FOR THEIR COST OF LIVING.
SO THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO MAKE THOSE ENDS
MEET WHICH WILL INVOLVE WORKING.
I UNDERSTAND THERE IS A LEVEL OF
WORK THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE.
I JUST THINK ANOTHER LIMITATION ON
NEW YORK, IT SEEMS LIKE IT MAKES MORE SENSE ON A FEDERAL LEVEL.
>> THERE IS NO WAY THIS IS GOING TO HAPPEN ON THE FEDERAL LEVEL.
THE IMPETUS NOW IS ON STATES.
I DO WANT TO POINT OUT SOME STATES
DO HAVE A SIMILAR PROGRAM.
>> I THINK ONE OF MY FEARS IS THAT ñ ANDREW CUOMO WORKED WITH
REPUBLICANS AND THEY SIGNED ON TO THE START OF COURSE
REPUBLICANS HAVE NO INTEREST IN
HELPING THE AMERICAN PEOPLE.
IT IS INTERESTING THIS WAS A VERY
LIBERAL POLICY UNTIL REPUBLICANS
GET INVOLVED.
BUT THEY WANT THIS TO BE THE MODEL ON A NATIONAL
LEVEL.
I WANT PEOPLE TO BE FOR THEM TO THINKING THIS IS GOOD
ENOUGH AND WE SHOULD SETTLE.
THIS IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH, NOT
EVEN CLOSE.
IT STILL SHIFTS A LOT OF THE ECONOMIC BURDEN ONTO
THE STUDENTS.
THAT SHOULD NOT BE THE CASE WHEN WE HAVE STATE
INSTITUTIONS THAT OUR TAXPAYER MONEY GOES TO.
I WANT TO ADDRESS
THE FACT THAT TUITION IS RIDICULOUSLY HIGH RIGHT NOW
BECAUSE COLLEGE IS CONTINUOUSLY COMPETING WITH ANOTHER TO BUILD
NICER BUILDINGS.
IT IS A CONSTANT CIRCLE JERK TALKING
ABOUT HOW WE HAVE THE BEST FACILITIES.
THEY ARE CONSTANTLY
BUILDING SO THEY CAN GET ON THAT STUPID US WORLD NEWS REPORT
RANKING THING.
GET OVER THE
RANKING.
I DON'T CARE ABOUT THE BUILDINGS.
I JUST WANT
AFFORDABLE OPPORTUNITIES FOR PEOPLE SO THEY CAN GET A HIGHER
EDUCATION.
I WANT TO GIVE YOU THE ACTUAL NUMBERS TO SHOW YOU
HOW MANY PEOPLE WOULD BENEFIT
FROM THIS.
IT IS RELATIVELY SMALL.
ALSO THERE WAS A
STATEMENT TODAY FROM THE STUDENT BODY THERE.
HERE IS WHAT THEY
HAD TO SAY.
THE EXCELSIOR SCHOLARSHIP IS A SMOKESCREEN FOR
BACKDOOR TUITION HIKE THAT WILL FALL ON THE NEEDY STUDENTS TO
MAINTAIN ELIGIBILITY FOR THE SCHOLARSHIPS STUDENTS MUST TAKE
30 CREDITS PER YEAR, WHICH MEANS FIVE CLASSES PER SEMESTER.
MORE
THAN A FULL-TIME LOAD, OR AND POSSIBLY FOR STUDENTS WHO MUST
WORK TO PROVIDE FOR THEIR FAMILIES OR CARE FOR CHILDREN.
IN ADDITION, STUDENTS MUST MAINTAIN A GPA TO BE DETERMINED
BY EACH COLLEGE FOR EVERY ONE OF THOSE FIVE CLASSES.
THOSE WHO DO
NOT QUALIFY FOR THE PROGRAM WILL BE BURDENED WITH A $1000 TUITION
HIKE WITH NO INCREASE IN FINANCIAL AID.
>> AND THEY CAN RAISE TUITION ANYWAY.
THE IDEA OF THEM BEING ñ
YOU OPERATED AT A CERTAIN LEVEL BEFORE THIS HAPPENED, THERE IS A
SUBSIDY THAT COMES IN, NOW YOU CAN JUST RAISE THE TUITION BY
THAT SUBSIDY.
NOW YOU JUST INJECTED MORE MONEY INTO THE
SYSTEM THAT YOU CAN POCKET AND BUILD BUILDINGS WITH.
WE JUST
TALKED TO JASON RUBIN WITH THE
STATE OF THE BUILDINGS AT CUNY.
THEY ARE NOT THAT GREAT.
>>LOOK, HERE'S THE THING, STATE INSTITUTIONS DON'T HAVE THE
RESOURCES TO PLAY THAT GAME.
BUT
OFTEN TIMES WHEN WE TALK ABOUT TUITION HIKES ALL A LOT OF IT
HAS TO DO WITH SCHOOLS GETTING
UNDERFUNDED WHICH IS A HUGE PROBLEM ESPECIALLY DURING THE
RECESSION.
THAT IS THE FIRST THING POLITICIANS WANT TO CUT
FUNDING FOR.
SO THEY DO SPEND A LOT OF MONEY UPDATING THEIR
FACILITIES WHEN THEY DON'T NEED TO BE UPDATED.
THIS IS A VERY
COMPLEX ISSUE THAT THEY KEEP TRYING TO FIND SMALL SOLUTIONS
TO.
IT IS NOT ENOUGH.
I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO BE FORCED TO TAKE
A FULL-TIME LOAD.
I DON'T WANT PEOPLE TO BE FORCED OR CONFINED
TO A SPECIFIC LOCATION FOR THEIR
JOBS.
THINK ABOUT THE RAMIFICATIONS ON YOUR CAREER IF
YOU ARE FORCED TO STAY IN ONE
PLACE FOR FOUR YEARS.
>> IF I AM CYNICAL I AM SAYING THEY DON'T END UP TRAINING
STUDENTS FOR JOBS THAT EXIST IN NEW YORK BECAUSE THEY DO WANT
THAT MONEY, THEY DON'T WANT TO
GIVE IT AWAY.
IDEALLY THE INCENTIVES LINEUP WHERE WE KNOW
ñ WE WANT TO EDUCATE PEOPLE IN NEW YORK AND YOU WANT TO GIVE
THEM JOBS HERE SO THEY PAY TAXES HERE, SO THEY REPAY TO US THE
INVESTMENT BY LIFTING THE OVERALL EDUCATED JOB MARKET IN
NEW YORK.
WHAT HOPEFULLY DOESN'T HAPPEN IS THEY SAY COME HERE, IT
IS FREE TUITION, MORE PEOPLE WILL STAY IN NEW YORK TO GO TO
SCHOOL.
IF I AM CYNICAL WE SAY WE DON'T GIVE THEM THE TRAINING.
>> JUST ONE QUICK RESPONSE ABOUT REVENUE.
IF YOU ARE SO CONCERNED
ABOUT REVENUE FOR THE STATE, MAYBE WE SHOULD FOCUS ON THE
WEALTHIEST PEOPLE LIVING IN YOUR
STATE TO GET AWAY WITH PAYING VERY LITTLE IN TAXES.
THERE IS A
LOT OF WEALTH IN NEW YORK.
GOING
AFTER THE NEEDIEST PEOPLE IS NOT THE WAY TO DO IT.

A COUPLE YEARS AGO THERE WAS A LEAK THAT
INCLUDED PICTURES OF CELEBRITIES IN VARIOUS STATES OF UNDRESS.
APPARENTLY THE APPLE CLOUD HAD

VICTIMS.
FAST-FORWARD TO PRESENT
DAY, IT TURNS OUT THERE HAS BEEN ANOTHER HACKING.
AS A RESULT A
NUMBER OF FEMALE CELEBRITIES HAVE HAD THEIR PERSONAL PHOTOS
LEAKED.
WE WILL NOT SHOW YOU THOSE PHOTOS, BUT SOME OF THE
VICTIMS INCLUDE KATIE CASSIDY, MILEY CYRUS, ROSARIO DAWSON,
DEMI LOVATO, AND AMANDA SEYFRIED.
THINK ABOUT HOW YOU
WOULD FEEL HIS PEOPLE VIOLATED YOUR PRIVACY, EITHER HACKED YOUR

IT IS JUST GROSS.
>> THERE IS A WEBSITE CALLED CELEB JIHAD THAT IS BEHIND IT.
THEN THEY TRY TO RUN AWAY AND AVOID ANYONE PINNING DOWN ANY
INDIVIDUAL WHEN IT COMES TO
CULPABILITY.
THINGS THAT MAKE ME ANGRY WHEN PEOPLE SAY AS A
RESPONSE WHY ARE YOU TAKING NAKED PICTURES IN THE FIRST
PLACE?
THE ANSWER BEING THEY ARE OF ME AND WERE ON MY PHONE.
THAT
IS LIKE SAYING WHY DO YOU HAVE
MONEY IN YOUR HOUSE?
WELL, IT IS MY HOUSE I WANT TO KEEP IT THERE.
I NEED IT FOR STUFF.
WHO GIVES A FUCK, STAY THE FUCK OUT OF MY BUSINESS.
>>THAT'S LIKE SAYING WHY DID YOU PARK YOUR CAR ON THE STREET, IT
WOULDN'T OF BEEN STOLEN BY A CAR
CHECKER OR WHATEVER.
>> IT IS LIKE A MORAL LINE THEY
FEEL JUSTIFIED IN ñ IT WAS FOR
HER, IT WAS NEVER MEANT FOR YOU.
IT'S LIKE IF YOU WERE URINATING
IN A URINAL AND SOME GUY STUCK HIS FACE INTO YOUR DICK AND
STARTED TALKING ABOUT IT.
IT'S
LIKE I DIDN'T ASK YOU TO
DO THAT.
>>THAT DOES HAPPEN SOMETIMES.
ANOTHER QUESTION I HAVE IS THERE
A WAY MORE DICK PICS OUT THERE THAN BOOB PHOTOS.
I KNOW THERE
ARE TWO GROUPS PER BOOB PHOTO, BUT STILL I THINK GUYS TAKE MORE
DICK PICS.
WHERE ARE ALL THE GUY WIENER PICS?
NOWHERE.
I HAVE ONE ORLANDO BLOOM, ONE JUSTIN BIEBER, BUT THAT IS IT.
>>YEAH.
>>I HAVE NARROWED IT DOWN TO GUYS ARE PERVY OR.
>> NO, THEY JUST FEEL ENTITLED.
THIS WOMAN IS IN THE SPOTLIGHT, SHE BELONGS TO ME.
THAT IS NOT TRUE.
>>THESE PEOPLE WANT TO SEE THE NAKED PICTURES OF A FIND ANY BS
REASON TO JUSTIFY DOING IT.
IT
SUCKS.
AND IT IS WEIRD.
HERE'S ANOTHER THING I HAVE NOTICED,
MILEY CYRUS NAKED, SHE DECIDED EARLIER TO TAKE HER OWN NAKED
PHOTOS.
WHY DO YOU WANT TO SEE MORE OF THEM?
>> AND SOME MIGHT ARGUE ñ
>> IT'S ON THE LEVEL OF POWER.
TAKING AWAY HER OWN AGENCY WHEN
SHE HAS ALREADY USED HER AGENCY TO
SAY THIS IS AN EXPRESSION.
>> AND SHE CONSENTED TO PUTTING THAT EXPRESSION OUT THERE.

Nancy/Becca: -sighs- Drat he must have some kind of nest up in that tree.
Nancy/Becca: I'll deal with him later
Nancy/Becca: Hmm I wonder what else is in that cornerstone?!
Nancy/Becca: Hmm its a book. -picks up book-
Nancy/Becca: Oh my it's Hallowell's Journal.
Nancy/Becca: Hmm according to this she left a treasure hidden in the school somewhere.
Nancy/Becca: Hmm interesting I better keep this.
-Nancy/Becca stores book in purse-
-Ned calls Becca also known as Nancy-
Nancy/Becca: Oh my phone is ringing. Awes yay it's Ned. (l)
Nancy/Becca: Hello?
Ned: Nancy. Hi, I hadn't heard from you and I just wondered how you been? You at the school?
Nancy/Becca: I sure am.
Ned: So how's it going?
Nancy/Becca: Great, the girls I've met so far are bright and interesting and seem to like me. :D
Ned: Of course they like you. ;)
Nancy/Becca: I hope so because I can tell already that where you fit in socially around here is huge!
Ned: They got a pecking order going huh?
Nancy/Becca: And it is brutal like junior high on steroids.
Ned: Just be yourself and you'll be fine.
Nancy/Becca: Be myself? Ned I'm a detective, I'm pretty much here to spy on people, if they get word of that...?
Ned: Like I said just lie through your teeth and you'll do fine. :D
Ned: What about the case? Any luck on tracking down the source of those mysterious notes?
Nancy/Becca: They're being sent by someone who signs them as 'The Black Cat' complete with paw print and scratchmarks.
Nancy/Becca: And only the valedictorian candidates have been getting them.
Ned: Think someone there has a grudge against brainy kids?
Nancy/Becca: Or one of the brainy kids is trying to get rid of her competition?
Ned: Being valedictorian is that big of a deal?
Nancy/Becca: It's a very big deal. Valedictorian gets full scholarship. College of her choice.
Ned: But how smart can these kids be if their imitated by a bunch of silly notes?
Nancy/Becca: It's mid-term study break, the kids that chose to stay are cramming for tests and madly writing papers.
Nancy/Becca: The notes may be silly, but their still distracting.
Nancy/Becca: And some of the 'accidents' that have followed them have been pretty malicious!
Ned: Malicious huh? You're not posing as a valedictorian are you?
Nancy/Becca: No I'm not.
Ned: Good.
Nancy/Becca: Although I am living on the same floor as them.
Ned: You just had to throw that in didn't you? |)
Nancy/Becca: Sorry.
Ned: So what is your plan?
Nancy/Becca: I'm going to search every inch of this place until something or someone leads me to the 'Black Cat'.
Ned: And in the process you're going to be very, very careful.
Nancy/Becca: Right.
Ned: Right.
Nancy/Becca: I've met all the valedictorian candidates by the way.
Ned: Cool, tell me about them.
Nancy/Becca: Izzy Romero is a candidate and student body president.
Ned: Is she nice?
Nancy/Becca: She is to me, so far. But that's probably because I'm still new to the pecking order.
Ned: She's the head of it?
Nancy/Becca: Oh yeah, she rules the roost around here, that's for sure!
Ned: Keep going, who else?
Nancy/Becca: Believe it or not, there's a goth living in the room next to mine.
Ned: A goth? As in weird hair and disturbing body piercings?
Ned: At an exclusive east coast all girl's boarding school?
Nancy/Becca: She's a legacy. Meaning women in her family have been attending for generations.
Nancy/Becca: If you're a legacy, your automatically accepted. You're not automatically liked however.
Ned: She doesn't have a lot of friends?
Nancy/Becca: Doesn't seem to. Her name is Mel Corbalis by the way.
Ned: Is she into black cats?
Nancy/Becca: Don't know that yet.
Ned: Maybe I'm a sucker for obvious suspects, but it sounds like to me you should find out.
Ned: Keep going, who else?
Nancy/Becca: Corine the girl I'm rooming with, she's not exactly miss popularity.
Ned: Waht makes you say that?
Nancy/Becca: So far I've only met one girl who even halfway likes her.
Ned: That's not good.
Nancy/Becca: At this school? It's a disaster!
Ned: Keep going, who else?
Nancy/Becca: Leela Yadav is Waverly's star athlete and man is she competitive!
Nancy/Becca: Spends most of her time in the rec room trying to get girls to play games with her.
Ned: She's a valedictorian candidate?
Nancy/Becca: Yep.
Ned: Shouldn't she be studying like everyone else?
Nancy/Becca: Says she's got everything under control.
Nancy/Becca: Academically at least. Socially it would appear that her roommate just stole her boyfriend.
Ned: Uh-oh that could get ugly!
Ned: Keep going, who else?
Nancy/Becca: This girl named Rachel asked me to help her with a school project.
Ned: How'd you get out of that?
Nancy/Becca: I didn't, I told her I'd help her, and actually it's a good thing.
Nancy/Becca: Gives me an excuse to go poking around talking to people.
Ned: So what's this Rachel person like?
Nancy/Becca: Well no one around here seems to like her very much.
Ned: How come? Bad breath? B.O? Bad taste in shoes?
Nancy/Becca: She's just strange somehow, kinda absent-minded.
Nancy/Becca: She scares some kids. And she seems to keep to herself.
Ned: The quiet loner type huh? Better keep an eye on her!
Nancy/Becca: The notes from the 'Black Cat' may have something to do with a teacher named Miss Hallowell.
Ned: Oh yeah? What does she teach?
Nancy/Becca: Literature or at least she did a hundred and fifty years ago.
Ned: Excuse me?
Nancy/Becca: She helped found Waverly back in 1866.
Ned: And you think she has something to do with notes being sent to students now?
Nancy/Becca: Not only did she have a black cat, but it looks like she hid something very valuable in Ramsey Hall.
Ned: That's interesting, does anyone else know about that?
Nancy/Becca: I'm not sure, but if someone does and is trying to find out what Hallowell hid.
Nancy/Becca: That would explain the notes from the 'Black Cat'.
Ned: You know you're going to have to be very careful what you ask and tell people from now on.
Ned: Because if someone is trying to find it and realizes you're trying to find it too...?
Nancy/Becca: I'll be careful Ned. Don't worry.
Ned: Too late!
Nancy/Becca: Okay time to do some more snooping.
Ned: Watch yourself Nan.
Nancy/Becca: I will Ned. Talk to you soon. (l)
Ned: To be continued...

I've got a lot of stuff on there, pictures of me with lightsabers and stuff like that,
so maybe you'll like that.

Til next time, thanks for clicking, and I will see you later.
Bye.

Cherry Bomb Dessert | Green Press - Duration: 1:25.
Cherry Bomb this is my favorite recipe
to make after dinner because there's no
consequences to it. Starting off with
some natural raw cherries. They've just been
pitted and frozen. High in Vitamin C and
then I'm going to make chocolate. So this
is just a chocolate cherry recipe. A
little bit of honey, try not to over do
that, but antiviral, antibacterial, and I'm
putting in some cocoa. So cocoa and honey.
Chocolate, done. Now I'm just going to add
a little bit of filtered water. And blend
that together. You can use any blender
for this combination. Very simple, very
gentle. This one's a bit runnier
because I've used filtered water, sometimes
I try and make it a bit creamier.
That runny cherry consistency. I'm
going to put a dollop of Greek yogurt on
top. There's good probiotics and a little
color contrast. A little protein and away we go.
I'm going to try not to spill this all over myself.
Mmm so good. Chocolate and cherries -
winning combo. Cherry Bomb. If you want
the full recipe click the link.

Rutina completa base, corrector, contorno, iluminador y rubo - Duration: 13:20.
Hi my beauties welcome to my channel. My name is Belgui
and today I'm going to show you my routine for foundation, contour, highlighter and blush
and if you want to see my routine stay with me :)
Ok lets get started
the first thing we need is a face cream to moistures our face
today I'm using my homemade face cream but you can use your favorite
ok we apply it all over our face. My cream already has premir
but if yours doesn't have one, you apply for premir after you finish with your face cream
ok today I'm using a Makeup Forever 5 CAMOUFLAGE CREAM PALETTE: No 1
all the products are going to be listed below
if you can see I have dark spots here and there
to cover our dark spot we need to use a orange concealer
like this one
I like to apply it with my fingers
now apply it to all of your dark spots
Ok now we need to apply a lighter concealer
like this one
I applying it on-top of the orange concealer
if you notice I have dark circles
to cover them I'm using NYX COSMETICS Hi Definition Photo Concealer Wand: Medium
I'm applying it under my eyes
oops! jijiji
Now that we apply it. I'm using REAL TECHNIQUES: Miracle Complexion Sponge
make sure it's wet, I already wet mine
and then we blend everything
ooops!! again lol
Now I'm going to use my Palette & Spatula Tool
I got this on Amazon the link is below
today I'm using Foundation: Mac Matchmaster foundation spf 15: #5
we do 3 bumps
like this
get the spatula and then we spread it
like this
oops!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
EcoTools Flat Foundation brush
then we apply it all over our face
after our foundation. We apply
MAC Prep + Prime Fix all over our face
let it dry like 2 seconds
using our blending sponge
we tap all over our face
see the differences
now we're going to contour our face
today I'm using Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit: Medium to Dark
using bh cosmetics #4 Angled face shader brush
I'm using this one
we get some product and apply it on your jaw line
now our nose
using Royal & Langnickel: Angle Shader
sorry for the wrong pronunciation ;P
using a lighter color like this one
we apply it in the middle of our nose
then we blend it
now I'm using TOO FACED: Sun Bunny Natural Bronzer
with the same brush that we use before
we apply it on top of the contour
for our blush I'm using Makeup Forever Sculpting Blush: 24
using a bh cosmitic brush #1 Large angled contour brush
we apply our blush
This blush is one of my favorite! I love it! and it's perfect for medium skin
now our highlight!!!
today I'm using Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kit: Sun dipped
I know my beauties! It's one of my favorites too!!!! I love it!! I love it!!!
now I'm using Fantail Powder: Fan brush to apply it
today I'm using Moonstone
we apply it to our cheek bones
we apply a LITTLE on our nose
and we apply a little more just because WE ARE OBSESS WITH IT!!
Awww look at that my beauties!!!!!!!
and to finish this look
I using NYX Cosmetics Velvet Matte Lipstick: 12
I like to use a lip balm before applying my lipstick
since this lipsticks it MATTE
this lip balm is from Softlips
now we apply our lipstick
To set our look I'm using a setting power
I'm using Ben Nye Luxury Powder Face Makeup: Banana
with a bh cosmetics brush #2 Flat buffing brush
we apply a little on our brush
we apply it on our t zone but I love to apply it all over my face for that MATTE look
Readyyyyyyyyyy! We are all doll up
