Le Pen and Macron set for run-off in France on May 7 - Duration: 2:20.
Turning to the French presidential election...
Centrist Emmanuel Macron and far-right leader Marine Le Pen will face off against each other
in a runoff on May seventh.
With most of Sunday's votes counted, the preliminary results show that Macron beat Le Pen in the
first round by around one percentage point.
Ro Aram has the details.
An Ipsos/Sopra Steria poll suggests Macron leads with 23-point-seven percent in first
round voting and Le Pen has 21-point-seven.
Other pollsters have given similar results, but a projection by TF1/RTL shows the two
are neck-and-neck.
The official figures by the interior ministry show that as of midnight, local time, Macron
had secured 23-point-three percent and Le Pen 22-point-six, with 82 percent of the ballots
counted.
Though Macron has never held elected office, opinion polls in the run-up to the vote have
consistently given him an easy win in the final clash against Le Pen.
The two have also fended off strong challenges from center-right candidate Francois Fillon
and leftist Jean-Luc Melenchon, who came third and fourth, respectively.
Sunday's outcome spells disaster for the two mainstream groups that have dominated French
politics for 60 years.
Soon after the preliminary results came out, Macron and Le Pen gave victory speeches at
rallies with their supporters.
Reuters Edit No. 7154 01'15 "They've decided to put me in the lead in
the first round of this election."
Reuters Edit No. 7154 02'08 "We've taken the first step that will take
the French people to Elysee Palace.
This result is historic.
It confers on me the immense responsibility of defending the French nation, its unity,
its security, its culture, its prosperity and its independence."
Macron is a former economy minister and banker who wants to open borders and remain in the
EU, but has little political experience.
But he now has the backing of some defeated rivals, including Francois Fillon.
Le Pen leads the National Front party that wants to renegotiate France's place in the
EU and tighten borders, but is facing criticism for her hardline views.
Voter turnout was similar to 2012 at about 80 percent of the 47 million people eligible
to vote.

Chicago Justice - Guns Don't Lie (Episode Highlight) - Duration: 4:12.
- Call your next witness, Mr. Stone.
- The People call Keo Vincent.
- Do you solemnly swear that the testimony you're about
to give will be the truth, the whole truth,
and nothing but the truth so help you God?
- Do I got a choice?
- I'll take that as a yes.
- Morning, Keo.
I'd like to call your attention to the afternoon of July 11th.
Were you in the Englewood neighborhood that day?
- Could be. - Specifically at the home
of your cousin, a boy named Andre Williams?
- Andre said I was there?
- Just answer the question.
- I don't remember.
- But you do remember changing into some of Andre's clothes
around that time, right?
- What kind of clothes?
- It was a black polo shirt, some blue jeans.
- [chuckles] He's littler than me.
We don't even wear the same size.
- But you do remember being there now?
- Can't say for sure.
- And speaking with your uncle, Ernest Williams.
- If I was there and he was there, then yeah,
I would've talked to him.
- Maybe you remember that Andre gave you something.
He gave you a--
It was a bag.
Just a small, brown bag with something heavy in it.
- I gotta answer all these questions?
- Do your best.
- I don't know nothing about any brown bag.
- Judge, I'd like to show the witness
what's being offered as People's Exhibit 1.
- All right.
- You ever seen that particular gun before?
- No.
- Fair enough.
Can defense counsel have an opportunity to see
this exhibit?
Actually,
Keo, you wanna make sure that thing's not loaded?
[chamber clicks]
- Chamber's clear.
- And what about the magazine?
- Clip's empty, too.
- Can I see the gun, please?
- Now, the magazine release on this gun--
it's inoperable.
But you knew that because this is your gun.
That's why you had to smack the handle a few times
to get the mag to release.
Just like you did four months ago
when you loaded this same gun,
jumped on your bike, and rode to the corner
of 68th Street and Marshfield Avenue
where you opened fire on a group of gang rivals,
killing a ten-year-old girl in the process.
- Man, you making all this up.
Coming at me about some nonsense
about some button that don't work.
That means I drill somebody?
You know what? I'm out of here.
- The People move to dismiss all charges
against Chris Stackhouse. - Granted.
- Arrest this man for the murder of Lara Haley.
- Let me go. - Hands behind your back!
- Let me go!
[groaning] Let me go, man!
Let me go, man. - Stay down.
- I didn't do nothing to that girl.
- You're sure he's the one who killed our daughter?
- I am now.
Sometimes you have to make a wrong turn
before you find your way.
I'm sorry to put you through this again.
- We'll be there.
- Thank you.
- That boy was barely older than Lara was.
- [sighs]
- Don't tell me. Another ride home?
- Nope.
You're on your own now.
- Hey, Stackhouse.
- Yeah?
- Crossroads for you.
- What you mean?
- You just beat a murder rap and a bullet.
Keep doing what you're doing, sooner or later,
your luck's gonna run out.
Here. [elevator dings]
A guy I know runs a jobs training program
in Hyde Park.
Use my name. He'll hook you up.

Warm and mostly sunny afternoon with high UV rays in many parts - Duration: 1:34.
Good afternoon.
The whole nation enjoyed blue skies, clean air and warm temperatures over the weekend.
Thankfully, we have more of the same on this Monday with a bit more cloud coverage.
Single digit morning lows will sky rocket to the twenties in many parts by the afternoon.
So let's take a closer look.
It will get up to 22 degrees Celsius in the capital and on Jeju Island... while Daegu
will make it to 25 degrees, and Busan will top out at 20 degrees this afternoon.
Soaking up some sunshine should be a good idea today, but you should be aware that high
UV rays are expected nationwide.
Meaning, it's important to enjoy the spring sunshine safely Remember, wearing sunglasses
and a hat and applying a good amount of sunblock are the basics to stay safe and avoid damaging
your skin
The sunshine will be replaced by clouds and light rain on Tuesday, but after that, relatively
sunny and warm temperatures will continue for the rest of the week.
That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.

Colombia: What VICE didn't tell you about Borrachero - Duration: 4:31.
Basically what is happening here is that
we have this a spiritual tree that has been
used for a while for our indigenous
people and now it's turned into a very
very very bad weapon against people just
to take the their belongings and stuff
like that. Imagine a drug that can
transform you into a zombie slave that
can leave you completely at the mercy of
a robber who can empty your bank account
steal all your possessions and possibly
worse. The drug is easily extracted from
nightshade plans it's tasteless odorless
and can be swiftly mixed into drinks
food and cigarettes and the worst thing
once you're under its spell to the outside
world you seem completely conscious and
aware so no one really knows you're in
danger. This demon drug is called
Borrachero. Ask any Colombian local
about it and it's a safe bet you'll get a
chilling horror story in return. Probably
like 15 years ago in Bogota there was
a real issue one time it happen to a
friend, he got in a cab and
then he just felt dizzy and he apparently
he willingly came in with the people
and help them carry all this stuff and
they robbed the stuff from his apartment.
If you're interested in traveling to
Colombia chances are you've seen VICE's
documentary about Devil's Breath.
It shows the gruesome effects of the drug
through the stories of several victims as well as
criminal perpetrators who admit on
camera to drugging and murdering people
It quickly became one of VICE's
smash-hit documentaries and it's not
hard to see why the thought of such a
powerful mind controlling drug and its
potential for criminal abuse boggles the
mind.
This is called the seed, which is very similar to an avocado but
it's full of small seeds and this is
used to produce Escopolamina
and as a drug to assault people or
kill people. But the questions we have to
ask are how common is a threat of Borrachero
...who is likely to be targeted? And
as a traveler what's the real risk?
At time of this publication the U.S
Department of State produced an
unofficial estimate of annual Borrachero
incidents at approximately
50,000 although it doesn't list where
this figure is actually from.
This works out to be roughly 0.1% of Colombia's
population being affected by the drug
each year. It reports drugging with
substances like Borrachero as a
common and dangerous method to kidnap
and rob people in Colombia. The primary
targets of Borrachero attacks are
men at nightclubs with attractive women
as the chief instigators. However many
cases have been reported of women being
drugged by men and later robbed and
sexually assaulted. Either way there are
some extremely sinister forces at play
here, and you have to have your wits about you.
Even away from the salacious nightclubs
Borrachero attacks do happen in the
more common restaurants and bars and
even in broad daylight on buses and
public transport however these incidents
are a little less frequent. The most
important thing you can do is be
vigilant be wary of strangers
approaching keep a really close eye on
your food and drink if you didn't buy it,
don't touch it if you bought it don't
let it go. So what do Colombians think about
Borrachero? Is it a common problem
and what's their advice for a safe time
in Colombia. Borrachero or Escopolamina
for me is not a threat I heard stories
about it. I heard that you lose your
will. Personally after living here for six
years I've never come across it I've
heard stories about it so I think people
need to be careful and aware of it but I
think it's been sensationalized. It's
ridiculous how many people have seen
that documentary about borrachera in
VICE so when they come to Colombia they
think they're going to get robbed as
soon as they
get here you know but reality is very
different.

Kim Darwin of the BC Green Party discusses BC Ferries - Duration: 1:00.
As Coasters, we expect efficient, affordable ferry service.
Unfortunately, we're getting something very different.
For years, experts have warned that increasing fares while decreasing service is bad for
BC's economy.
Despite these studies, fares continue to climb while service drops.
For every dollar of federal funding that BC Ferry passengers receive,
Atlantic Canada receives $350 per passenger.
This gross disparity is not news to the government and should have been addressed
long ago.
Ferry service is essential to the Sunshine Coast.
As your MLA, I'll aggressively push for increased federal funding which would be used to return
control of BC Ferries to the provincial government.
You'll see better schedules and increased transparency.
If you want a BC that embraces our marine highways, a stronger economy, and a cleaner
environment, please vote for me.
I'm Kim Darwin, BC Green Party candidate for the Powell River - Sunshine Coast riding.

And with that key anniversary looming...
U.S. President Donald Trump has reportedly held telephone talks with Japanese Prime Minister
Shinzo Abe... and will have subsequent talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping to discuss
ways to deal with a possible North Korean provocation in the form of a sixth nuclear
test or missile launch.
Japanese media outlets report... Trump and Abe agreed that the two countries will work
together on an effective counter-response if North Korea goes forward with a provocation.
In the conversation with President Xi, it's believed Trump will again urge China to take
a more active role in pushing for North Korea's denuclearization.
This is the first time a U.S. president has spoken with both Abe and Xi on the same day.

[ENG SUB] 150129 Hua Chenyu Interview - Marriage is too early, I'm not even dating yet. - Duration: 3:19.
Since he won first place in Super Boy 2013, debuted,
attended Divas on the Road,
released his first album,
been continuously on commercials and short films,
the one people call "Little Brother from Mars" – Huahua, Hua Chenyu,
met with Huya Live in Beijing.
Even though it was a short chat,
we can still feel the otherworldly energy from Mars.
Usually, if I have extra time from work,
I would occasionally play some mobile games.
Sleeping is of course the most important.
Next would be eating.
Sleeping and eating are about the same (in importance) really.
Yeah... about 2/3rds (of my time)
[[2/3rds of your time devoted to eating and sleeping?]]
Yes. And music…
Uh...
Music, I would occasionally touch it at home.
Games, I'd also occasionally play it.
I have pretty much added all of my friends from Super Boy.
HAHA The name I use in the game is...
is related to my own.
Also...
If I meet someone with another name related to mine
If the two of us play together, I guess they wouldn't reject me?
I remember a friend asking me, "So are you still fresh meat?"
And I said… I said I've already
I've already graduated and…
And...
I've already reached an age ready for marriage.
So I'm not really considered fresh meat anymore?
But in regards to marriage, this thing, I…
sigh. I'm not even dating yet, so where would marriage even come from? This thing.
It's still too early.
No, I'm a very free-reign kind of person.
I, I, I'm the type to go with the flow and do how I please.
I don't have a set plan that I have to…
Uh...
have to do something while I'm still young or something...
I'm not like that.
I feel like no matter the age,
when you want to do something, you can go do it.
Unless you really mind what others think of you.
Then perhaps you may feel conflicted.
Should I do this?
If you don't mind,
even if you've lived until 70 or 80, and had become a granny or grandpa,
you can still do what you want to do.
I don't feel that as a rocker, I must…
be alternative or anything.
It's really just that most people that love rock,
they simply have a very free-spirited soul.
And, won't be contained by the limitations of their environment.
Right, they would...
would be more free.
Do as one pleases.
Probably, a majority of people that grow up in a regular environment
might not understand this kind of person,
but on the other hand,
those who do rock, cannot understand a majority of people.
Because, after growing up in a normal environment,
you might think...
that...
the knowledge that the outside world had transmitted to you, that some things are right, other things are wrong.
Or others might laugh at you.
But these things… are probably not
not values we're originally born with. It's…
It's rather complicated. Let's not talk about this. It's getting too deep. HAHA

Conservative candidate Yoo Seong-min vows to provide new hope for the conservatives - Duration: 4:50.
Time for our series of pre-election reports on the five major-party presidential hopefuls
and their efforts to swing voters in their favor.
Our Kim Hyesung shows us how candidate Yoo Seong-min from the splinter right-wing Bareun
Party is promising to provide new hope for the conservatives.
Clear and rational, but also warm and compassionate.
Under the slogan "New hope for conservatives," presidential candidate Yoo Seong-min of the
Bareun Party, which recently split with what's now the Liberty Korea Party, has vowed to
answer the people's call for political reform and social justice.
The 59-year-old former economist entered politics in 2000.
He's in his fourth term as a lawmaker representing his hometown of Daegu, and in 2015 served
as floor leader for the now-defunct Saenuri Party.
On the first day of campaigning, Yoo seong-min visited the Incheon Landing Operation Memorial
Hall, showing his strong stance on national defense.
Located where U.S.-led allied forces landed in 1950 and turned back North Korean forces
in the first year of the Korean War, it was a symbol of his determination to turn the
tide of this short presidential race in his favor.
In the first three days of the campaign, Yoo also visited schools, traditional markets
and subway stations across Seoul.
But he hasn't limited his campaign to the capital city,... or just to the regions with
a history of voting conservative.
"Here at Pungnammun Gate in Jeonju, people of all ages have come out to support Yoo Seong-min,
who is making his first visit to the southern part of the country since the start of the
official campaign period.
"I already visited the southeastern region, my home turf of Daegu, a couple times before
the official start of campaigning.
So, as my first stop outside the capital, I wanted to visit the southwest, where my
support is the lowest.
I'm not playing regional politics, so be it southeast or southwest, I'm willing to go
anywhere as long as there are citizens who long for a new conservatism."
With warm smiles, handshakes and hugs, Yoo greeted his supporters in Jeonju who had waited
hours to see him.
"He has the virtues to be a good, reliable politician and the required skill sets to
lead our country as the son of the late parliament member Yoo Soo-ho."
"I think Yoo Seong-min really nailed the presidential TV debates.
He has confidence and a clear set of beliefs and values."
"Out of all the candidates, Yoo Seong-min has the most knowledge of defense and economic
policy."
As a center-right politician with a conservative stance on defense and liberal economic policies,
Yoo explained why he broke from the former ruling Saenuri Party in 2016 and founded the
Bareun Party.
"The reason I founded the Bareun Party is not just because of the impeachment of the
former president.
I want to start a new kind of clean politics.
We are at a time when social inequality is at a record high.
I want to reform the country and help the middle class."
To do that, Yoo's Bareun Party headquarters in Seoul has laid out detailed policies to
create a fairer market economy supported by more generous social welfare.
"Our party's goal is to create a country where people want to start families and raise children.
And our candidate Yoo seong-min, who has a PhD in economics and experience working at
the Korea Development Institute, has more economic expertise than any other presidential
candidate."
Despite his detailed campaign pledges, Yoo's support remains in the single digits.
The Bareun Party is pinning its hopes on Yoo's strong performance in the debates, which has
made headlines, and his creative campaign.
"Our group was formed only recently, and we can't spend as much money as the other camps.
To maximize efficiency, we're being creative -- like using bicycles and scooters instead
of cars and trucks for our street campaign, which helps create a sense of friendliness."
At a time when people are disillusioned with the conservative bloc following the nation's
biggest corruption scandal, candidate Yoo Seong-min is pledging to create a warm, new
conservatism that can bring the country together.
SOV "If you vote for me, I will create a new Korea

Sole female candidate Sim Sang-jung is voice of working class - Duration: 4:48.
Continuing our series of reports on the campaign strategies of the top five candidates running
in the May ninth presidential election.
For our final chapter, our Lee Unshin introduces us to the Justice Party's Sim Sang-jung,...
the sole woman among the five main hopefuls.
A labor activist-turned politician, and a long-time critic of the corruption in Korea's
public and private sectors.
With an impressive resume, Sim Sang-jung, the presidential hopeful of the minor left-wing
Justice Party, entered the race with a vow to create a nation where everyone can work
with a sense of pride.
"Together with me, Sim Sang-jung, let's build a new nation that brings change to everyone's
lives."
Sim began her political career under the then-Democratic Labor Party in 2000, a party she ended up
leading.
But don't let her soft smile fool you,... she's a tough cookie.
Before becoming a force in the National Assembly, Sim fought for decades to improve workers'
rights.
When she was a college student she took a job as a seamstress at a factory, where teenagers
worked day and night in poor conditions.
Thus began Sim's 25 years of activism.
Leading workers' organizations, she was often isolated in tough battles.
At one point she was even wanted on charges of instigating strikes,...
but her supporters say her experiences are what made her who she is today..a respected
candidate who's not afraid to give a voice to the underprivileged.
Her first stop on the campaign trail?
To Seoul's subway system to meet with mechanics, cleaners, and irregular laborers to tell them
they are the engine that moves Korea.
As someone who believes in the value of hard work... it's only natural for her to encourage
working-class voters.
"What time do you come to work?"
"10a.m."
"What time do you get off?"
"I get home at midnight."
The self-employed merchants at this market, who can only dream of having a day off...
let alone a week,... also welcome Sim's vision.
"Seomyeon, a popular meetup place and the commercial center of Busan.
This is the spot Sim chose to discuss with local residents her ambitions, to better young
workers rights as well as the potential this city holds."
With piercing confidence, Sim assures voters that she will bring an end to the widening
gap between the rich and the poor.
"I want to build a nation where everyone can work with a sense of pride.
And that's a nation that values skill and hard work, not one's wealth."
Her pledges center around helping women who are struggling to balance work and family
life....
"I love you."
"Please make our nation a great place to live in."
...something that both men and women have long called for.
"She's the most trusted candidate, especially among workers and young people.
If she becomes president, I believe she'll establish good polices on women's issues and
women's rights."
"We need forward-thinking policies when it comes to working mothers and the rising youth
unemployment rate.
I believe Sim will also work harder than any other candidate to make the economy better
for working-class people."
"As a worker, I think the reality is we can't take pride in what we do.
That's why I'm rooting for Sim.
I want a society in which I can see my value as a person through my labor."
Making voters in Busan, a conservative stronghold, listen... and even convert to her way of thinking
is one of Sim's uncanny abilities.
She's yet to poll higher than the other four major candidates,... but the party says that's
mostly due to its scale; as it holds just 6 seats in the 300-seat National Assembly.
"She hasn't had the same exposure as the other candidates, but those who meet her in person
or hear what she stands for come to realize she's the leader our country needs.
Sim's progressive policies are what we need in order to represent those who lit their
candles, against corruption among the powerful."
The corruption among the powerful caused an early election in Korea.
But Justice Party believes the nation now cries out for more than just an administrational
change and in need of a societal reformation.
As Sim tours the length and breadth of the nation to spread her message of protecting
the weak and vulnerable...her supporters have no doubt that she will be the one to deliver
that change in everyone's lives.

Kim Darwin of the BC Green Party discusses education - Duration: 1:00.
Public education represents one of the most important investments that can be made for
our future prosperity.
But for too long, the government has been at war with teachers.
As your MLA, I'd rebuild that damaged relationship through trust, collaboration, and bargaining
in good faith.
The BC Greens offer a concrete plan for our education system in the emerging economy.
Our strategy includes investing in our children's education while reducing the burden of student
debt and providing skills upgrading for the existing workforce.
A strong, well-funded public education system is crucial to our future.
After all, we're talking about your daughters and sons - today's little British Columbians
who will become tomorrow's leaders.
If you want a BC that embraces a brighter future, a stronger economy, and a cleaner
environment, please vote for me May 9th.
I'm Kim Darwin, Green Party candidate for the Powell River - Sunshine Coast riding.

The BC Greens have a vision for our provincial economy that will drive investment and innovation
in these exciting new technologies while creating opportunity and employment for you and your
family.
Your vote will help a BC Green government introduce policies that promote innovation
and sustainable enterprise.
A BC Green government will ensure an equitable future for you and all British Columbians
for generations to come - not just until the next election is held.
If you want a BC that embraces a brighter future, a stronger economy, and a cleaner
