It felt like an explosion, but there's minimal damage.
It was an EMP.
How do you know?
Because the spinal implant that helps me walk isn't working.
I can't feel my legs.
We're trapped.

White House Hypes 'OK' North Korea Briefing | Rachel Maddow | MSNBC - Duration: 5:52.>>> IN THE EVENT OF AN EMERGENCY YOU WILL HAVE APPROXIMATELY TEN
MINUTES TO PREPARE, AND NO LONGER.
THAT IS THE NEW ADVICE TO THE CITIZENS OF JAPAN FROM THEIR
PRIME MINISTER. IF NORTH KOREA LAUNCHES A
BALLISTIC MISSILE AT JAPAN, THE NEW ACTIONS TO PROTECT YOURSELF
GUIDELINES THAT ARE POSTED ON JAPAN'S CIVIL DEFENSE NATIONAL
WEBSITE TELL THE CIVILIANS IN THAT COUNTRY THAT THEY'VE GOT
TEN MINUTES TO DEAL WITH THAT AND GET READY.
THE GUIDELINES TELL PEOPLE TO TAKE COVER INDOORS, TO SHUT OFF
ALL GAS AND WATER, TO STAY AWAY FROM ALL DOORS AND WINDOWS.
JAPAN MAINTAINS A CIVIL DEFENSE WEBSITE ALL THE TIME TO GIVE
JUST THIS KIND OF ADVICE. BUT THAT WEBSITE HAS SEEN MORE
THAN 14 TIMES ITS USUAL AMOUNT OF WEB TRAFFIC OVER THE COURSE
OF THIS MONTH. TODAY TOP U.S. -- THE TOP --
EXCUSE ME. TODAY THE TOP U.S. MILITARY
OFFICIAL IN THE PACIFIC COMMAND SAID, AS LONG AS WE'RE ON THE
SUBJECT, HAWAII COULD USE SOME ADDITIONAL MISSILE DEFENSE
CAPABILITY. GIVEN WHAT NORTH KOREA HAS BEEN
SHOWING OFF RECENTLY. IN THE CONTINENTAL UNITED
STATES, IT IS STILL A HYPOTHETICAL THREAT THAT NORTH
KOREA COULD HIT THE U.S. MAINLAND.
BUT IN HAWAII IT'S A DIFFERENT THING.
AND IN JAPAN AND IN SOUTH KOREA, THEY KNOW FOR SURE THAT THEY ARE
ALREADY WELL WITHIN THE RANGE OF WEAPONS THAT WE KNOW NORTH KOREA
ALREADY POSSESSES. THIS MONTH THE JAPANESE CENTRAL
GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN HOLDING MEETINGS WITH LOCAL GOVERNMENTS
AROUND JAPAN, ADVISING THEM WHAT THEY SHOULD DO IF THEIR REGION
IS HIT BY A NORTH KOREAN MISSILE.
IT'S UNPRECEDENTED, THAT'S SOMETHING JAPAN HAS NEVER DONE
BEFORE IN ITS POST-WAR HISTORY. YESTERDAY, NORTH KOREA STAGED
ITS LARGEST-EVER LIVE-FIRE EXERCISES OFF ITS EASTERN COAST.
THOSE ARE ALL ARTILLERY PIECES WE JUST SAW THERE.
SOUTH KOREAN NEWS REPORTS SAID THE EXERCISES INVOLVED 300 TO
400 ARTILLERY PIECES. YOU SEE THEM SHOOTING THERE,
THOSE ARTILLERY ROUNDS, INTO THE SEA.
THE U.S. AND SOUTH KOREAN NAVYS HAVE ALSO BEEN CONDUCTING THEIR
OWN MILITARY EXERCISES. YESTERDAY OFF SOUTH KOREA'S
WESTERN COAST. YESTERDAY THE "USS MICHIGAN," A
NUCLEAR-POWERED SUBMARINE, ARRIVED IN SOUTH KOREA.
THE "USS CARL VINSON" AIRCRAFT CARRIER IS ALSO EN ROUTE TO THE
KOREAN PENINSULA NOW, FOR REAL THIS TIME.
THINGS ARE ALREADY VERY TENSE RIGHT NOW.
IF YOU ARE FEELING TENSE ABOUT THAT PART OF THE WORLD RIGHT
NOW, I ADVISE YOU NEXT TIME YOU'RE AT THE GROCERY STORE TO
NOT LOOK TOO CLOSELY AT THE TABLOID GROCERY STORE
PUBLICATION THAT OUR PRESIDENT HAS REPEATEDLY ENDORSED AND SAID
SHOULD WIN THE PULITZER PRIZE. BECAUSE THIS WEEK'S COVER OF
"THE NATIONAL ENQUIRER" IS THIS. "WORLD WAR III IS COMING!
TOP SECRET PENTAGON REPORT, THE DAY AND TIME ALL-OUT WAR WILL
BREAK LOOSE. NAVY DESTROYERS BOUND FOR NORTH
KOREA." AFTER THIS CAME OUT TODAY AND
STARTED CIRCULATING ONLINE, DEFENSE FOLKS NOTED THAT THE
DESTROYER THEY PUT ON THE COVER IS A RUSSIAN DESTROYER, NOT AN
AMERICAN ONE. BUT WHATEVER.
FOR EVERYTHING ELSE THAT IT IS, "NATIONAL ENQUIRER" HONESTLY IS
SOMETIMES A LITTLE PEEK INTO THIS NEW PRESIDENT'S MINDSET.
IF SO, WHOA. BACK HERE ON PLANET EARTH, THE
PRESIDENT INVITED ALL 100 SITTING U.S. SENATORS TO THE
WHITE HOUSE TODAY. FOR A HIGHLY UNUSUAL
ALL-SENATORS BRIEFING ON NORTH KOREA.
THAT'S A LOT OF SENATORS TO BRING UP TO THE WHITE HOUSE.
BUT THEY SAID THEY WANTED TO DO THIS URGENT BRIEFING ON NORTH
KOREA. THEY DIDN'T WANT TO DO IT IN THE
SECURE FACILITY WHERE THEY USUALLY DO THESE THINGS AT THE
SENATE, THEY WANTED TO DO IT AT THE WHITE HOUSE FOR SOME REASON.
IN ORDER TO FIT ALL THE SENATORS INTO ONE BRIEFING THEY ACTUALLY
HAD TO MacGYVER A MAKESHIFT SECURE FACILITY ON THE WHITE
HOUSE GROUNDS. THE SENATORS THEN HAD TO GO
THROUGH THIS WEIRD PERP WALK RIGMAROLE WHERE THEY BOARDED
BUSS AND GOT SHIPPED UP TO THE WHITE HOUSE LIKE THEY WERE ON A
SCHOOL FIELD TRIP. ONE REPORTER ADDED THE INDIGNITY
THE BACK WINDOW OF ONE OF THE BUSS THEY PUT THE SENATORS ON
WAS HELD UP WITH DUCT TAPE. AND ONE OF THAT BUS' LIGHTS WAS
DANGLING OFF THE BUS, HELD BY A WIRE.
NOTHING BUT THE BEST. ONCE THEY GOT UP TO THE WHITE
HOUSE, THE SENATORS GOT OUT OF THEIR BUSES, THEY WERE
APPARENTLY GREETED BRIEFLY BY THE PRESIDENT.
THEY WERE THEN BRIEFED -- SECRETARY OF STATE REX
TILLERSON, ALTHOUGH THAT WAS A SURPRISE TO REX TILLERSON, AS
RECENTLY AS TWO DAYS AGO THE STATE DEPARTMENT "APPEARED
UNAWARE" THAT TILLERSON WOULD BE DELIVERING THAT BRIEFING.
BUT THERE IT WAS TODAY. THE BRIEFING LASTED ABOUT AN
HOUR. WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE AT THE
WHITE HOUSE? WHY DID ALL THE SENATORS HAVE TO
GET UP ON BUSES AND GO THERE FOR IT?
WHAT WAS THE IMPORTANT INFORMATION THAT THEY NEEDED TO
HAVE IMPARTED TO THEM AT THE WHITE HOUSE?
ABOUT THIS URGENT SITUATION IN NORTH KOREA?
I DON'T KNOW. BUT SENATORS SEEM UNDERWHELMED.
HERE, FOR EXAMPLE, WAS THE REPUBLICAN CHAIRMAN OF THE
SENATE FOREIGN RELATIONS COMMITTEE.
SENATOR BOB CORKER. >> HOW WAS THE BRIEFING?
>> IT WAS FINE. >> DID YOU GUYS LEARN ANYTHING
IN THERE YOU DIDN'T KNOW BEFORE? >> NOT REALLY.
IT WAS AN OKAY BRIEFING. >> WHAT DO YOU MEAN IT WAS AN
OKAY BRIEFING? DIDN'T REALLY LEARN MUCH?
>> I -- IT WAS -- IT WAS OKAY. >> IT WAS OKAY.
MAYBE NOT WORTH THE TRIP?

S. Korea's defense ministry refutes speculation THAAD installation is trial run - Duration: 1:03.Staying with the THAAD story...
South Korea's defense ministry has affirmed the U.S. commander's remarks about the status
of the deployment, adding that they are working on several tests to ensure full operational
capacity.
The ministry was seeking to tamp down growing speculation in South Korea that the arrival
of key, but not all, system components was part of a test operation.
It also said South Korea will conduct a separate test to determine the potential effects of
the THAAD battery's radar on area residents,... in addition to an environmental impact study,
which will examine the impact of construction on the surrounding ecosystem.
When asked why they decided to bring in the system before the environmental tests were
complete, the ministry spokesperson replied that a thorough assessment will only be possible
when the battery is activated in the target location.

Angry Children: Part 2 - Maggie Dent - Duration: 3:44.- Hello and welcome to this month's Maggie Moment.
We have already done a segment on angry kids
and we've been getting a lot of messages lately
still with parents pulling their hair out going,
"What do I do with these angry,
"revoltingly, poorly-behaved children?"
And I wanna just unplug anger a little bit more.
It's a normal emotion
and I'm sure you've had a moment in the last week
that you've been angry.
It is actually a normal human emotion.
It's not a bad, naughty, awful emotion,
it's a normal emotion.
It's how we manage the emotion,
that's the tricky bit for children.
As I've already explained to you what you will remember
our children do not have access
to a prefrontal cortex which is the part of us
that says oh, calm down babe, it's all right.
I've got this.
You know, let's think of this another way.
They don't.
They're mainly coming from that primitive brain
and the limbic brain of course is growing
and that's the part that the emotions can come from.
Let's be realistic and reframe angry children
are children who are having difficulty
expressing big, ugly feelings.
They're not bad, they're not awful,
they're not going to turn into some horrible person.
They need grown ups to help them.
One of the other things that comes up
quite often around anger is that
anger is actually hiding something else underneath,
and that's the part where I keep encouraging parents
to be CSI detectives.
Because if you can figure out what's underneath
then often the anger just dissipates on its own.
You've got to look at the sorts of triggers
that are going on and the unmet needs that are going on
and all the sorts of things that our children
are trying to get usually from the people
who are closest to them.
Now keep in mind that anger inflames the brain,
it inflames the body with this high energy
which is a bit like a cortisol energy.
But it's a bit like going into a red room
with a hot heater on
and having that concept of a red room
and then the calm room is a green room.
It's a really important thing because
so often I see parents trying to reason
and talk to a child in the red room.
And I don't know, I've been angry sometimes
and people have tried to talk to me in that room
and it doesn't work.
And in the recent research I've been doing,
an actual fact being in a heightened angry state
you actually can't hear.
So we need to stop doing that, it doesn't work.
Okay, so the second thing is creating
a safe enough environment
so that we can help our children
get back into the green room.
It's about helping them calm down and soothe.
Obviously that anger is also into aggression.
We need you to hold them or protect other children
who might be getting hurt from that.
Again, it's that concept that this is actually my child
not coping with something right now
expressing big, ugly feelings from a child-like space.
It's not something that we need to feel
oh, I'm a terrible parent.
If you can see those sorts of things
and keep in mind the more that I can stay calm and grounded,
the more I help my child come back
from the red room into the green room,
then the more we're able to work with this.
And then sometime down the track
let's try and have a conversation with them
about what was going on at that time
so we can help them work out what made them angry
in the first place.
I hope that's given you just another layer
of understanding anger in our children.
Maybe even help you understand the anger in you some days.
Remember, keep breathing,
try calmness
and our children do get better at managing anger.
And that's all for today.

New Chinese aircraft carrier 'six times more powerful' than existing Liaoning - Duration: 2:03.China has launched its second aircraft carrier... but the first it has ever built from scratch
with homegrown components.
It marks the latest milestone in China's superpower ambitions to build Asia's largest naval fleet.
Ro Aram has the specs.
The Type 001A carrier is said to have six times more military strength than China's
existing Liaoning vessel, which was purchased from Ukraine and put into commission in the
Chinese Navy in 2012.
Development of the Type 001A carrier began in 2013 and construction two years later.
It weighs about 50-thousand tons, which is 10-thousand less than its predecessor, but
it's slightly longer with a wider command platform.
It is powered by conventional steam turbines, which makes it slower than U.S. nuclear-powered
carriers, but quicker than the Liaoning.
The vessel also houses a ski jump-style deck for take offs, which experts say is cheaper
to run than the catapults used by the U.S., but limits the diversity of aircraft on board
to smaller fighter jets.
The new carrier aims to carry 36 Shenyang J-15 multi-role fighter jets, which is 12
more than what the Liaoning can carry.
After sea trials and the arrival of its full air complement, the yet-to-be-named carrier
is expected to be operational by 2020.
Although it still has some way to go to catch up with American carriers, the new ship is
part of Beijing's bigger plan to build a navy that is unrivaled in Asia... and another carrier
-- the Type 002 -- is reportedly under construction in Shanghai.
However, these ambitions are rattling neighboring countries, as they see hidden motives behind
China's naval expansion, which adds to already high tensions in the region, including the
territorial dispute over islands in the South China Sea.
For its part, Beijing insists that its military maintains a purely defensive posture.

THAAD to be operational in South Korea in coming days: U.S. Pacific Command chief - Duration: 1:52.The United States is also upping the ante on North Korea militarily.
One of the most senior commanders in the U.S. military says the THAAD missile defense system
in South Korea will be up and running very soon.
His remarks come as U.S. Forces Korea on Wednesday moved two... of the six mobile launch vehicles
to the deployment site.
Kim Hyo-sun reports.
The top U.S. commander in the Asia-Pacific has revealed that the THAAD missile defense
system... being installed now in South Korea... will be operational in the coming days.
Admiral Harry Harris, commander of the U.S. Pacific Command, made the remarks Wednesday
during a hearing of the House Armed Services Committee.
"The ROK-U.S. alliance decided last July to deploy THAAD, that's a Terminal High Altitude
Area Defense System, which it will be operational in the coming days and able to better defend
South Korea against the growing North Korea threat."
Hours before in South Korea,... key components of the THAAD battery,... including the radar,...
were moved to the deployment site in Seongju,... a county in Korea's southeast.
The U.S. military moved two mobile launchers to the test site on Wednesday,... and the
remaining four are expected to be transported early next month.
Harris also stressed that his top priority is to protect the United States from the rogue
regime.
"With every test, Kim Jong-un moves closer to his stated goal of a pre-emptive nuclear
strike capability against American cities, and he's not afraid to fail in public.
Defending our homeland is my top priority."
Although the close coordination between Washington and Beijing is in its early stages,... Harris
expressed confidence that North Korea has noticed a change in China's action,... calling
it an important aspect in dealing with the regime.

Wang Yi warns any chance of war on Korean peninsula should not be tolerated - Duration: 1:49.Meanwhile, China continues its efforts to de-escalate tensions on the Korean peninsula.
Beijing's foreign minister warned any chance of war should be avoided, but insisted the
responsibility for that... belongs to Washington.
Kwon Jang-ho has this report.
China's foreign minister, Wang Yi, has urged all parties to back away from creating further
tension on the Korean peninsula, and said that even a one-percent chance of war should
not be tolerated.
Speaking at a press conference with his German counterpart in Berlin on Wednesday, Wang fired
a warning at the U.S., saying "North Korea is not like the Middle East" and that war
on the peninsula would lead to "unimaginable consequences."
The foreign minister also said it's up to the U.S. to deal with the Pyongyang, despite
Washington's calls for Beijing to take more responsibility.
Reuters 3125 [2:48-3:02] "North Korea always claims that the development
of nuclear weapons is in response to an American military threat.
That's why it's really up to the two directly involved parties, the United States and North
Korea, to engage in talks together."
Beijing has also insisted that the deployment of the U.S. missile defense system THAAD,
which came a step closer to full installation in South Korea on Wednesday, risks further
antagonizing Pyongyang.
China once again called for its withdrawal.
Reuters 3610 [0:31-0:47] "It is not helpful to the denuclearization
of the peninsula... and peace and stability in the region.
The move hurts the dialogue process and negotiation efforts and seriously undermines China's strategic
security interests."
China stressed that although it is against North Korea's nuclear weapons program, it
is the responsibility of the U.S. to prevent new conflicts.

Samsung Electronics posts strong Q1 earnings backed by record-breaking chip sales - Duration: 1:53.Samsung Electronics has posted its strongest quarterly earnings since 2013,... and its
second highest in history.
Much of the profit came from the company's biggest cash cow -- high-capacity semiconductors
-- which is expected to push up the margin even more throughout the year.
Oh Soo-young reports.
Samsung Electronics has posted its largest quarterly profit since 2013,... backed by
record semiconductor sales.
The Korean tech giant's operating profit rose to eight-point-seven billion U.S. dollars,...
up more than seven percent from the previous quarter and almost 50 percent from the same
period last year.
Sales came to some 44-point-six billion U.S. dollars.
A surge in chip sales accounted for more than two-thirds of the company's profit,... hitting
a record-breaking five-point-six billion dollars.
Samsung is the world's biggest semiconductor supplier, leading both the DRAM and NAND Flash
markets.
With the global appetite for high-capacity chips forecast to grow this year, accompanied
by a steady hike in prices,... the company expects its strong profits to continue into
the second quarter.
An anticipated boost in orders of OLED displays is also expected to drive up the profit line,...
along with the release of Samsung's new flagship smartphone -- the Galaxy S8 -- which is forecast
to sell more nearly 50 million units in its first year.
Aside from its traditional cash cows, Samsung has plans to expand into new businesses, including
smart home gadgets, artificial intelligence and the Internet of Things.
As it posted its quarterly profit,... Samsung Electronics also announced on Thursday that
it won't convert into a holding company,... dismissing the push from hedge fund Elliot
Management to reform its ownership structure to increase profitability.

Finance Minister Yoo Il-ho said last week's bondholder approval for a debt-for-equity
swap deal means restructuring will begin.
To be successful, Minister Yoo said the shipbuilder must focus on winning profitable orders and
fully implementing the self-rescue plan.
He said the company has to stick to the deal, in which it agreed to cut costs by four-point-six
billion U.S. dollars through restructuring, including job and wage cuts.
The minister added that a committee of experts from various fields will be formed by early

Ambit Energy in Japan - Duration: 6:34.- Ambit Energy is opening in Japan.
The number one direct seller of energy
in the world, is opening for business
in the single largest territory to deregulate, Japan.
Ambit Energy will help thousands of families
in Japan save money on their energy costs.
And for those that take advantage of the opportunity,
make money in the energy sector.
Some will supplement their income,
while others will change their family's financial future.
Why is this such a big deal
and how does it pertain to you?
Number one, everybody uses energy.
Number two, everyone likes to save money.
How would you like to develop another income stream
on a part time basis, getting paid,
and developing a residual income based on hundreds
or thousands of people paying their energy bills
month after month, year after year?
That's what we do.
The reason Ambit Energy has had so much success
is because we're different.
And here's how.
We like to call it the five dynamics.
Number one, there's no sales.
People are already buying power.
Number two, there's no product education.
I do not have to explain to you how electricity works.
And number three, we deliver to the consumer below retail.
Number four, there's no change in buying habits.
People pay for their power month after month, regardless.
We're not changing that.
And number five, everybody already uses it.
Everyone you know and everyone you don't know.
The same family that created one of the most successful
business franchises in the world , 7-Eleven,
is also the family that started Ambit Energy.
Jere Thompson Jr., the grandson of the gentleman
that started the convenience store concept as we know it,
feels that taking action and participating
in energy deregulation has the same type potential.
50% of the people that pay an energy bill in Japan
pay that bill at 7-Eleven.
The first international expansion for 7-Eleven
years ago was Japan.
Ambit Energy's first international expansion
will also be Japan.
A little 7-Eleven trivia, Jere Thompson Jr.
was one of the original taste testers of the Slurpee.
Our two co founders, in my opinion,
set us apart from every other company in the industry.
Jere comes from an incredible legacy of family business
and Chris Chambliss, our chief marketing officer,
comes forth with experience helping a company
get to over a billion dollars in annual revenue
in record time in the telecom industry
when telecom was being deregulated.
Chris has helped two companies in direct sales
to go over a billion dollars in annual revenue
in a very short period of time.
First telecom, now the energy industry.
Chris is also a board member
of the Direct Selling Association.
Japan is a 70 billion dollar energy market.
And Ambit will have access to over 80 million customers.
Energy deregulation is so new in Japan,
only about 1% have switched their electricity supplier.
Let me take a minute to explain energy deregulation.
When the energy monopoly is broken up,
it's basically split into three parts.
Generation, the company that makes the power.
Retail sellers, that's where Ambit Energy comes in,
we're and ESCO company, an energy supply company.
Then you have the delivery, the local utility company
that delivers the electricity, and service the lines,
and does the billing.
One is generation, two is supple, three is delivery.
When a monopoly gets broken up
customers are the beneficiary.
Customers will have a choice where they buy their power.
This creates better pricing and better customer service.
When companies have to compete for your business,
competition is a good thing.
Japan is one of the top countries in the world
for direct sales.
And Ambit Energy will be the first company to open
in Japan, already doing over a billion dollars in revenue.
That's never happened before.
Most companies open in Japan early to get quick growth.
Ambit Energy is different.
We have controlled our growth
with a very methodical, calculated approach
so that it's done right.
And it will also be the only company to open
as a 100% service company.
We do not sell products.
Vitamins, juices, make up, et cetera.
Everyone buys power,
therefore we do not have to convince people
to buy something they don't need, they can't afford,
or that they don't want.
People pay their power bill before most other bills,
it's a necessity.
We market a service that people cannot live without.
So, who do you know in Japan, or who do you know
that may know someone in Japan?
One conversation with the right person
could change your family's financial future.
We're very confident this will be a huge success.
Question, if you were approached years ago
to partner with Bill Gates when he launched Microsoft,
would you have done it?
Or would you have passed?
It's been said by many experts that the
deregulation of energy will be the single largest
redistribution of wealth in our time.
Japan imports 80 to 90% of their energy sources.
They are the number one importer of natural gas.
And they are one of the strongest economic forces
in the world.
We are very excited to get started in the country of Japan.
One of the things we're gonna do is have a 60 day prelaunch
where people can sign up as founding members for free,
and start building their business
and gather customers during that time.
Make sure to get with the person that shared this video,
get your questions answered, and get started.
Thank you for your time.

U.S. senators unimpressed by classified N. Korea briefing - Duration: 1:27.Our top story this afternoon...
The U.S. government has laid out its new plans to sharply tighten sanctions on North Korea.
Washington will also work more closely with its regional allies to bring about change
in the North.
A statement was released after the White House held a rare briefing with U.S. senators.
Yu Joonhee starts us off.
Top administration officials released a statement conveying President Trump's North Korea policy,
following a rare classified briefing for all 100 members of the U.S. Senate at the White
House on Wednesday.
It called for pressuring North Korea to dismantle its nuclear and ballistic missile arsenals
by tightening economic sanctions and through close cooperation with U.S. allies and other
partners in the Asia-Pacific region.
Although it adopts a much softer tone toward Pyongyang following weeks of escalating tensions,
the statement did end on a note of defiance, saying the U.S. is ready to defend itself
and its allies if necessary.
Many of the senators who attended the closed-door briefing came out with an underwhelming impression.
In particular, Democratic senator Jeff Merkley of Oregon told CNN that the lawmakers learned
nothing new about North Korea nor Trump's strategies for dealing with the regime.
Meanwhile the situation on the Korean Peninsula remains tense, with the U.S. sending warships
to the region and moving ahead with its deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in South
Korea.
Although China has long voiced its displeasure regarding the deployment, the Trump administration
has recently made a considerable effort to enlist Beijing in pressuring North Korea.

CONTROL OF THE INTERNET, THEY CAN DO ALL THE THINGS THAT AJIT
PAI WOULD NOT ALLOW THEM
TO DO.
>> ALSO KEEP IN MIND THERE ARE HUGE CONGLOMERATES AND INTERNET
SERVICE PROVIDERS THAT HAVE PURCHASED MEDIA ORGANIZATIONS.
MAYBE THERE IS A COMPETITOR AND THEY DON'T WANT THAT COMPETITOR
TO ACTUALLY COMPETE IN A FREE MARKET AGAINST THE MEDIA
ORGANIZATION THEY HAVE ACQUIRED.
THIS IS A NIGHTMARE.
ANYONE WHO
WOULD WANT TO SPEAK TRUTH TO POWER COULD BE VICTIMIZED BY A
LACK OF NET NEUTRALITY.
WE WANT A FREE FLOW OF IDEAS, A FREE
MARKETPLACE.
IF YOU DO AWAY WITH NET NEUTRALITY THERE IS NO
GUARANTEE.
THE ONLY GUARANTEE WE HAVE IS THAT PEOPLE NOT RECEIVE
INFORMATION NECESSARY TO BE INFORMED MEMBERS OF A
DEMOCRATIC SYSTEM.
>> DID YOU KNOW 73% OF LOCATIONS HAVE ONLY ONE BROADBAND
PROVIDER.
THAT IS A MONOPOLY.
>>THAT IS INSANE.
>> ADAM SMITH WARNED US ABOUT MONOPOLIES WHEN HE EXPLAINED
CAPITALISM SUCH A LONG TIME AGO.
IT IS THE FIRST THING YOU THINK
ABOUT IF YOU ARE A TRUE CONSERVATIVE.
THEY KILL FREE
MARKETS.
24% OF THE COUNTRY IS A DUOPOLY, THEY ONLY HAVE TWO
OPTIONS.
NOW, AJIT PAI IS SO INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST.
DID
YOU KNOW HE IS A FORMER VERIZON LAWYER?
WHAT A WONDERFUL
COINCIDENCE.
AND ANOTHER ROLE THEY JUST ANNOUNCED ñ
>> LET ME GIVE YOU ALL THE DETAILS WITH THE PROPER WORDING.
VICE REPORTED ON THIS.
THESE
PRICE CAPS
ARE IMPORTANT WHEN
YOU CONSIDER THE FACT THAT MOST PEOPLE ARE DEALING WITH THIS
MONOPOLY.
I AM DEALING WITH IT, I HAVE NO OPTION OTHER THAN
SPECTRUM.
THEY CHARGE WAY TOO MUCH FOR SLOW AND SHIT INTERNET
SERVICE.
THINK ABOUT THE COSTS THIS WILL HAVE ON SMALL
BUSINESSES.
IT IS JUST A NIGHTMARE.
INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST IS THE PERFECT WAY TO PUT IT.
>>LYING ABOUT SMALL BUSINESSES DOES THE EXACT OPPOSITE.
HOW
UNBELIEVABLY DISHONEST ARE YOU?
IS IT TO HELP THE BROADBAND
PROVIDERS THAT HE USED TO BE A PAID EMPLOYEE OF?
OF COURSE.
AND
FINALLY WHY OUR GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK THE HEROES?
THE
INTERNET ASSOCIATION ARE SAYING NO.
IT COULD HELP GOOGLE AND
FACEBOOK IF THIS WENT THROUGH BECAUSE THEY ARE SO LARGE THEY
CAN PAY THE RANSOM.
FOR ANYONE WHO ISN'T LARGE ENOUGH ALL THEIR
COMPETITION WOULD GET WIPED OUT.
THAT IS WHY THEY FOUGHT LONG AND
HARD BEFORE THEY DECIDED TO BE IN FAVOR OF NET NEUTRALITY.
IT
WAS A CLOSE CALL BUT THEY CAME OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
ONCE THEY
SAID THEY ARE FOR NET NEUTRALITY OBAMA SAID THAT SINCE A LOT OF
HIS FOUNDERS EARNED SILICONE VALLEY HE IS FOR NET NEUTRALITY.
SO GOOGLE AND FACEBOOK SAVE THE INTERNET WHEN THEY DID THAT.
IF
THEY ARE NOT IN OUR SIDE WE ARE ALL SCREWED.
ALL THESE
POLITICIANS CARE ABOUT IS THEIR DONORS.
WE GET UPSET WHEN THE
RICH GET TOO MANY TAX CUTS, AND THAT IS NOT JUST.
BUT I ALWAYS
TELL YOU DON'T BE BLANKET AGAINST RICH PEOPLE OR
CORPORATIONS AS
A THING.
I'M GOING TO
CHANGE ALL THE RULES
AND I WILL MAKE SURE YOUR BUSINESSES GET WIPED OUT IN
FAVOR OF THE CRONY CAPITALISM OF SUPPORTING THE BROADBAND
PROVIDERS.
THAT COMBINED WITH WE MUST DO RESISTANCE ñ YOU HAVE TO
PROTECT THE INTERNET.
ONE LAST PIECE FROM AJIT PAI WHO WAS ONE OF THE MOST
DANGEROUS GUYS IN AMERICA ñ
>> I WISH HE WOULD JUST SHUT HIS PIE HOLE.
>> HE SAID NO, IF THESE BROADBAND PROVIDERS CAN'T MAKE
MORE MONEY THAN THEY WOULD RUN OUT OF MONEY SO THEY CAN PROVIDE
ENOUGH BROADBAND TO POOR AND MINORITY AREAS.
DO YOU KNOW THAT
MEANS?
WE ARE HOLDING THEM HOSTAGE.
IF YOU DON'T GIVE US
WHAT WE WANT WE WILL CUT ACCESS TO POOR AND MINORITY AREAS.
THAT
IS SO SICK.
>>IT'S ALSO VERY CLEAR HE DOESN'T CARE ABOUT POOR MINORITY
AREAS IN AMERICA.
ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU CONSIDER HOW THE FCC
VOTED TO ELIMINATE THOSE PRICE CAPS THAT PROTECTED PEOPLE
LIVING IN RURAL PLACES IN THE UNITED STATES.
HE IS
INTELLECTUALLY DISHONEST.
IT IS UNFORTUNATE WE HAVE TO CONTINUE
FIGHTING.
WE HAVE TO FIGHT AND WIN AGAIN.

Camp NaNo Vlog #4: Week 3 | Basic Romance Plot Formula - Duration: 4:21.Well hello everyone, it's week three of
NaNoWriMo and I hope to get caught up
this week, so, let's see how I do.
All right everyone I'm gonna be honest,
it was a pretty crazy week and I got a
fair amount of writing done but I didn't
end up getting a whole lot of footage of
me writing. so, I'm just gonna put my word
counts for each day on the screen and
then I wanted to share something with
you guys that I used to help plot the
supporting character's romance in the
book, because when I got to her point of
view at the end of this week I didn't
really know what to do for her romance.
Like I knew some of the stuff that was
gonna happen already, but I needed to
like build a romance and like a reason
from the break-up since this would have
happened before the events of my book
taking place. So, what I decided to do was
look at romances and see the common
points that they had, and there was a
video I found that was really helpful on
this that I'll link in the description
below, as well, but basically, it treated
romance as if it were like a math or a
science or something like an equation
basically and so you would take you know
like every romance, like the generic
romance plot has like the three main
points, you know, the one point where they
meet, which we'll represent with N and
then the point where they mutually fall
in love, which will represent with L, and
I have to stress the - mutual - part
they both have to love each other for
that part to be achieved really, and then
the happily ever after, right, which we'll
represent with an H, and so basically,
what you do is you have this basic
formula of, they meet, they mutually fall
in love, and then they have a Happily ever
after. So to make an interesting romance
plotline out of that, what you would do
is then add conflicts or struggles
represented by a C or an S,
respectively, in between those points to
try to complicate that plotline, but then
the thing you can do to make it even
more interesting,
you can omit one of the three main
points that we mentioned earlier, and you
know, for an example, what I decided to do
was have the characters meet then not
fall in love immediately. So, the struggle
is them falling mutually in love
because I don't think she would like him
at first, to be honest
and then when they mutually fall in love
they'll be a conflict that drives them
apart, and then I'm going to omit the
happily ever after part, because I needed
them to break up before book 1. So I hope
that that kind of all makes sense and is
helpful to you guys, I don't know, like, I
wouldn't recommend this if you're gonna
like write a romance novel or anything,
but it helped me kind of like just get
started, and have like the basic idea of
how the relationship would work out, and
how I could write that like you boil
down to like key points. so, that's
helped me right now, you know, in this
moment when I need to be fast drafting
for NaNoWriMo to catch up. All the
writing has been going well so far i as
I said finished my main characters point
of view at 5,000 words and her love
interest is coming up on his twenty
thousand mark writing out her love
interest backstory has actually helped
me a lot in exploring why they're in
love and how he acts as a person. It also
helped me figure out the kinds of words
he would use can like in his thoughts
compared to the words she would use, so,
it's been really helpful in that sense,
and also it's helped me get a greater
understanding of him as a character and
so I think I'll be able to write scenes
where his reactions are more pivotal a
lot easier than I did before.
Well here we find ourselves at the end
of week three of camp NaNoWriMo and
while we're still not quite caught up
we're not too far behind either. So, next
week is the final stretch so I hope you
tune in to see if I can catch up then! I
hope you guys liked this vlog and I'll
see you next time!

Israeli time
another day started with sunrise
it is going to be again fantastic day
Traveling is wonderful
but I don't know if to stop for longer somewhere
or to travel more intense
my idea for travel is to stay one month or longer in one country
and then further
but it is connected with longer trip
but Israel is so cool that I would like to stay here one year or even longer
but I like one great place in Spain so I am torn inside
anyway I love travelling
this place in Israel is my place from dreams
I can develop myself here
I can rest here, this place is so quiet
very calm place, I like it so much
