Youtube daily report Apr 2 2017

The Eccentric Family represents a marvel, not just in regards to the P.A. Works library,

but also in regards to creative adaptation.

At AnimeExpo 2016, P.A. Works President Kenji Horikawa, stated that one of the big reasons

the studio only produces original series and adaptations of novels,

is that they want that freedom to be able to express a product themselves.

The ability to be able to develop a world from scratch and no manga editors slapping

their wrists whenever they come up with something visually extravagant.

And that's what The Eccentric Family is, extravagant, magical, yet is formed out of

the very real city of Kyoto.

It's not a comfortable show at times, but there's love in it.

That's an odd sentence and an even odder sentiment, but the clash of inhuman concepts

is yet another remarkable part of this show and with the second season being released

next season, I'm glad to have an excuse to talk about not just the show, but the

people who helped us fall in love with it.

I've spoken about P.A. Works in the past and even interviewed thestudio's president, but it bears repeating

that the studio is on a quest.

A quest to be able to recruit and train animators so as to be able to produce anime without

having to rely on other companies to chip in and instead using their own contacts and

their own staff to be able to make something that they all can really stand behind and

say "We did this!"

And what could be more "We did this!" than a show not only directed by one of the

founders of the studio, but that founder also leads the studio's animation department.

Masayuki Yoshihara.

There are directors that have a very clear defined vision of a show and will get everyone

to fall in line and pursue that particular vision.

Hayao Miyazaki was famous for this and in reaction, it's now very difficult to find

animators that worked under Miyazaki who actually liked him.

But one of the big reasons that P.A.

Works wants to recruit and train animators and do things in-house is to create a collaborative atmosphere.

"In the future, I want animators who can proactively work on projects like a team and

staff who can discuss the best course of action among themselves.

But these days I've realized that when people work together—especially in a mentor/student

kind of relationship—they feel extremely stressed.

Nevertheless, I understand that the reason why animators feel so mentally fatigued is

because they don't feel that they're actually contributing to the project.

As much as a person can individually temper their skills through work, I believe it is

essential for many staffers to engage with the creators of anime through dialogue.

I want to foster that kind of environment.

I want to create a team that can convey those kinds of ideas.

It's impossible if we shy away from dialogue, after all."

Determining a studio image is vague and generally inconclusive, but the words of its president

tell us a lot more about the aspirations behind every product.

Yoshihara is the other founder of P.A.

Works and after being on loan at Production IG, he returned in 2010, to train the young

animators at the studio and strive for this sort of atmosphere.

The first production they worked on together was Mai's Magic and the Family Day, a 30

minute TV special funded by the local government to show the importance of family bonds, distributed

to schools and kindergartens within the area.

But that wasn't it for our returning hero, because as a part of training young animators,

he participated in the government funded, Young Animator Training Project with a short

called "All-Purpose Vegetable Ninninman" and two years later, he took the animation

director of that show, Kousuke Kawazura and made him the character designer of his first

TV series directorial debut, The Eccentric Family.

But let's cycle back once again, because to understand The Eccentric Family's production,

you've kind of got to understand where P.A.

Works came from.

Both founders are heavily connected to Production IG and during the 10 years where they were

setting up the studio and doing contract work for other teams, they were working with a

lot of people, many of whom ended up working with them on future projects.

The future background director of The Eccentric Family and True Tears, Yusuke Takeda is one

of them.

But the character I wanted to explore more thoroughly is one of the people who worked

alongside both Kenji Horikawa and Masayuki Yoshihara on Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone

Complex, Toshiyuki Inoue, the Perfect Animator.

There's some animators that kind of reach a legendary status within the industry.

A point where seeing them attached to a project is a genuine surprise and the only jobs they

end up taking are incredibly high profile.

Or, they're invited by a good friend.

Anime is an industry of connections and Masayuki Yoshihara is very good friends with Toshiyuki

Inoue, meaning that even though, Inoue almost exclusively works on films, he'll also take

the time to work with his friend on P.A.

Works TV shows, a platform he's objectively too good for.

"Toshiyuki Inoue attracted attention in the industry when he debuted with Gu Gu Ganmo.

Since then, he has participated in many renowned projects, including Akira, Memories, Ghost

in the Shell, Jinrou, Blood the Last Vampire and Millennium Actress.

Because of his thoroughness and the level of quality in his animation, he's referred

to as "the perfect animator."

"Instead of becoming a character designer or animation director, Inoue apparently prefers

to work as a solo key animator, investigating the "movement" part of anime.

Currently, he is focusing on recreating human movements faithfully and creating realistic

drawings.

He is also working on advancing his deep, abiding love and knowledge of anime, as well

as guiding others towards improvement."

That was a quote from AnimeStyle Magazine Editor in Chief Yuichiro Oguro, the journalist

who personally inspires me the most. It was Mamoru Oshii that called him the perfect animator

and very shortly after his key animation debut, he had gathered attention, particularly from

those that wanted to represent realistic timing and weight on screen.

Satoshi Kon, Hayao Miyazaki, Katsuhiro Otomo, here was this incredible animator that just

a few years after his key animation debut, was being scouted out by industry legends

who wanted to capitalise on his ability to portray realistic weight and timing.

And thanks to his friendship with Yoshihara, all of the skills and hard work that contributed

to Akira, Ghost in the Shell and Kiki's Delivery Service is making a home at P.A.

Works, primarily on The Eccentric Family.

But one of the other interesting things about Inoue isn't just his marriage of surreality

and reality, but the speed in which he creates it.

In an interview with P.A.

Works President Kenji Horikawa in 2005, he said this:

"The current trend seems to be to not worry that much about the volume and only focus

on quality.

That really worries me.

It's not a fair match if you can't achieve the same level of quality with the same amount."

Toshiyuki Inoue is fast.

He started out in a generation where people were constantly saying "Draw faster, draw

faster", yet everyone around him was producing really simple cuts, whilst he was making stuff

like this.

And as Horikawa notes, an animator doesn't go from quality to quantity, but rather, a

good animator sets goals and knows how much time to spend on each cut and practise knocking

that time down.

Yoshihara once told an anecdote of how he kept a stopwatch at his desk to constantly

improve the speed of his drawing and would often peek into the booths next to him to

see if he could match their pace.

Mamoru Oshii may have been referring to the quality of Inoue's work when he referred

to him as the perfect animator, but his strive for quantity as well and the refusal to accept

the balance is what has turned him into the person he is today, someone who can work on

the greatest theatrical films, but still be able to create great work for the shows that

his friends are making.

And so if there's one message to take from this second P.A.

Works Studio Spotlight, it's that there's nothing more important than friendship.

I've legitimately always wanted to say that in a video.

Thanks for watching The Canipa Effect and I would like to thank frog_kun and Bloosakuga

for their translation help for this video.

Also, I'm now closing votes on the Patreon poll for the next video.

The results are 27 votes for a second Studio Trigger Studio Spotlight and 13 votes for

a video on Pokemon: Sun and Moon.

The next video will be on Studio Trigger and the Pokemon video will be made later down

the line.

But before I go, I'd like to give a special thank you to these people for supporting the

channel.

In particular, I'd like to thank the adaptable Albireo, the knowledgeable KayAnimations,

the ideal Isaac Woo, the hardy Hadiz, the proactive Petra Clothier, the meritable Mankoto

LePlant, the selfless Sam Liddiard, the mythological Martin Grazina and the adamantine Abel Toy.

Conker's Bad Fur Day SECRET in Yooka-Laylee (Easter Egg) - Duration: 1:57.

Yooka-Laylee's hub world, Hivory Towers, is a pretty big place--and it's chock full

of all kinds of things to find.

Including Easter Eggs--and we stumbled upon a pretty cool, but subtle one in the Tower's

Archive--a room that's packed to the rafters with reading material.

Now most of the books don't appear to have anything written on them at all--but a few

of them do, and if you get close enough you can even read their titles.

So let's go ahead and rotate the image here so they're a bit easier to read.

And among the books, we have...

50 Shades of Games--a spoof on the real-life novel 50 Shades of Grey

How to Use Hexicons in All Your Home Doctoring, which sure enough, there are hexicons all

over Hivory Towers.

Then there's Capital B's Guide to Red Nectar, a book apparently written by the owner

of Hivory Towers, and the game's antagonist, Capital B

Followed by My Way or the Fly-Way--get it, instead of highway, it's fly-way, because

insects, like Capital B, can fly...

And finally, that takes us to the reason for this video...Jetpacks & Butlers...Your First

Investment

Now on the surface, that's already a pretty solid book title--who wouldn't want a jetpack

and butler?!

And as it turns out, Conker the Squirrel is among those who'd agree--as he requests

exactly those things after acquiring a particular stack of cash in Conker's Bad Fur Day.

Yeah, we're pretty sure Conker would agree with making that your first investment--hell,

maybe he wrote the book!

Now Conker's Bad Fur Day, was of course, developed by Rareware, which is the same studio

that the bulk of the developers working on Yooka-Layee came from, now as part of Playtonic

Games.

So it's just a fun little callback to the history of studio--pretty fitting that it'd

be found in the Archive huh?

Thanks for watching and make sure to subscribe for more on Yooka-Layee and other things gaming

too.

Chuck Liddell vs. Tito Ortiz | No. 1 | UFC Top Ten Feuds - Duration: 2:36.

HOST: Chuck Liddell versus Tito Ortiz.

ANNOUNCER: I have never heard a crowd like this before.

PAT BARRY: Man, one of my favorite beefs

was Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell.

Are you ready? Let's go!

If you guys haven't seen that rivalry,

man, I recommend going back and watching that.

[CHEERING]

MICHAEL JOHNSON: Tito Ortiz was the big man.

He was Chuck Liddell before Chuck

Liddell became the Iceman.

He would just grab you, take you to the ground,

just elbow you in the face for a half hour.

ANNOUNCER: Good quick move by Ortiz,

who rains down some elbows.

Don't blink!

[BEEP] gonna be over quick.

Then all of a sudden, pot bellied

Chuck Liddell comes around.

And this dude is just as bad ass.

ANNOUNCER: Oh, we got rocks.

Liddell exactly as advertised.

JASON PARILLO: Chuck Liddell and Tito

Ortiz here are two guys that had trained

together for a long time.

ANNOUNCER: And another knee!

That right hand!

And it staggers [INAUDIBLE].

INTERVIEWER: Chuck Liddell is next in line.

What's going to happen?

Me and Chuck, I mean, our friendship's

not worth the money we're getting paid, if you ask me.

You know, you had Tito saying that him and Chuck were

friends, and then Chuck saying that Tito

was just scared to fight him.

I want my title.

Tito can, I don't care.

I'm knocking either one of them out.

So out of all of that, they were

there to make the fight happen.

I'm looking to try to punish him as much as possible, man.

I just can't wait.

Do you think he believes what he's saying?

Uh, no, I don't.

He did not like the guy.

So it was probably the easiest guy to train him for.

ANNOUNCER: Long time coming, ladies and gentlemen!

The Iceman, Chuck Liddell.

Look how happy he looks.

This really is the moment of truth for Tito Ortiz.

And you can see it on his face.

He looks very emotional.

You ready?

Let's get it on!

ANNOUNCER: Good right hand!

Combination by Liddell.

I just remember against the cage,

throwing those Chuck Liddell shots.

And Tito just--

ANNOUNCER: Combination uppercut!

Tito was in there, taking 100 punch combo from Chuck Liddell.

[SHOUTING]

One was great.

Two was even better.

Randy and Chuck are gonna square off.

But you have seed 52.

Who's going to take it?

I hope Chuck takes it.

That way so I can kick Chuck's ass.

CHUCK LIDDELL: Any time you want.

I'll knock you out again.

ANNOUNCER: Tito Ortiz, he was the name and the face

and the star of the division until it

was taken over by the Iceman.

The second time around, when they did the rematch,

granted, he did put up a better fight.

ANNOUNCER: Tito's starting to look like the Tito of old.

But Chuck Liddell put it on him again.

ANNOUNCER: I think he believes he has Tito Ortiz's number.

They'd fight 100 times, he'd beat him 100 times.

ANNOUNCER: Chuck comes around the top.

Chuck looking to close it out.

He looked in him, and he took a piece of his soul.

ANNOUNCER: Chuck Liddell remains the light heavyweight champion!

TYRON WOODLEY: I don't think Tito would have

ever been able to beat Chuck.

HOST: Thanks for watching UFC Top 10 Feuds.

6 Reasons Men Disappear (#4 is SO COMMON) - Duration: 4:00.

If you're wondering why men up and disappear from you and you don't know why, stick around,

you're watching the right video!

Hi, everyone… my name is Amy North and in this video, I'm going to talk about 7 reasons

why men pull away and vanish.

And, by the way, if you have any questions about this topic of this video, then just

comment below and I'll do my best to get back to you.

Okay!

Let's begin.

1.)

You're a big time clinger.

If you text him too much, call him too much, or always want to hang out 24/7, then you're

unknowingly pushing him away faster than you can say "Amy North".

Remember that having extra space in a relationship is good – it allows him AND you time to

breathe, and it allows both of you to pursue passions and interests that you wouldn't

be able to do as a couple.

Not only this, but giving him some space allows him time to miss you, and this is a fundamental

part of creating and keeping attraction with a man.

So instead of smothering him, set him free and let him realize how amazing you are when

you aren't around!

2.)

The sexual attraction is fading.

Remember how it was in the beginning of your relationship… everything was exciting and

new and your bodies were overflowing with dopamine (aka the love drug).

You felt high and like nothing could bring you two down.

But after a few months, the lust began to fade and the sex got a little boring.

This fading of sexual attraction can be a big reason why men pull away.

To prevent this from happening, check out some of the other videos on my channel and

hit the subscribe button, or simply go to CoachNorth.com and watch the free video presentation

on there.

In that video, you'll discover some helpful tips for making you irresistible to men for

as long as you want!

3.)

He has other things going on in his life.

Yes, surprise surprise, not everything is about you.

Sometimes your guys might have just a little bit too much stuff on his plate to concentrate

on a relationship.

Believe it or not, it happens.

So if he's really busy with work or school, or something personal is going on in his life,

then it's time to simply back off and let it ride out.

Just like in tip one, putting too much pressure on him will make him run for the hills!

4.)

Boredom.

Yes, boredom is a huge relationship killer.

It can turn a perfectly good relationship into something stale… when something is

too comfortable and boring, people leave.

If things just aren't spicy enough in your relationship, then don't be surprised if

you find your man looking elsewhere for his kicks.

So what's the cure for boredom?

Fun, of course!

Try and keep things fresh and new by trying out new things and going out on interesting

dates.

Maybe pick up a new hobby or passion and invite him to do it with you.

Do your best to keep things new and your guy will be addicted to you in no time!

5.)

He's got too much responsibility elsewhere.

Sometimes a man just doesn't feel good enough to be in a relationship.

Whether it's because he doesn't have any money, or he simply doesn't feel like he's

giving you enough time, a feeling of inadequacy and make a man disappear from a perfectly

good relationship.

The cure?

Make him FEEL like he's contributing to your relationship.

A man needs to feel like he can provide for his family and loved ones, and when he feels

like he's not doing his job, he'll feel like part of his manhood got chopped off…so

be sure to shower him with compliments when he does something for you and always make

it known to him that you appreciate him!

6.)

Finally, he may not be right.

If a guy is pulling away from you and you don't know why, maybe it's simply because

you guys just aren't right for each other.

I know this is something that you probably don't want to hear, but not everyone is

compatible with everyone.

Sometimes, letting a guy go is the best choice.

So there you have, there are 6 reasons men disappear.

Again, if you want to learn more about why men pull away (and how to prevent it), then

simply head over to www.CoachNorth.com.

Again, the URL is CoachNorth.com – in that free video, you'll learn a ton of amazing

tips and tricks that will keep that one special guy into you for as long as you want.

Anyways, that's all and talk to you soon!

Tesla Model S 90D: Rated Range Degradation 28000 Miles 55 Weeks Ownership W/Chart - Duration: 4:37.

are slightly overdue 28 thousand mile

range update overdue just due to driving

and we were going to do the one hundred

percent at the Madison supercharger that

just did not quite happen and instead

because we had to get to the jhino to

Urgent Care we thought he had pink high

instead it was just allergies thank God

so technically 28 miles mile range

update the car is showing 278 rated

miles this is after doing a nice long

supercharging stop followed by more

freeway driving followed by then topping

off on 80 mph PwC so 278 rated miles

external temperature right now is 46 it

was about 50 when we started our drive

let's see if we move over here we are

showing a pack ray remaining capacity of

80 point seven miles and the current

balance of the battery pack is

approximately eight millivolts between

the highest and lowest cells and it's

starting to settle in balance a little

more right now as we are waiting now it

whoops not too hard to see what that

dad's better pack temperature right now

it's 89.1 degrees Fahrenheit and I still

don't understand the Celsius they got

because that is definitely not two point

six degrees Celsius let's cooled off a

little bit by the time I got out here

and the charging taper at a NH PwC has

compared to a supercharger

when I started the the top off charge to

get this extra 63 miles in the pack

since I'm plugged at ninety-eight

percent at the supercharger and then

drove a bit more the pack was at 109

degrees when i plugged in and as outside

temperatures are dropping so I be packed

temps let's see what other information

do I usually add I think that is get to

now and yeah it's going into balancing

we're drawing a half amp at four hundred

and two point three nine volts which is

basically the car is powering the

dc-to-dc converter to charge the 12-volt

auxiliary battery of which the entire

car systems are drawing 10 amps at

thirteen point seven volts so if you

take thirteen point seven volts x 10

amps that is a hundred thirty-seven wats

just for the privilege of the car to be

powered up and active not even running

heat or any other functions at this time

and even if I was running heat it would

be running off the grid not off the

12-volt battery so that's some crazy

power consumption

you

bye

HOW TO MAKE THE BEST EVER GARLIC BREAD - Introduction to Bread Making - Duration: 6:17.

Now this is one of the most gorgeous

garlic breads that you have ever tried.

This isn't like one of those loaves where

you stick a bit of butter and garlic in

and everybody wants just to eat small

bits of it some, of it's a bit greasy

some of its a bit tasteless, this is the

sort of garlic bread which you're going

to devour whilst hot and finish it to

the very end, like a tin of Pringles. I

first had these garlic breadsticks

probably 20 years ago, so a big shout-out

to Roccos Pizzas in Hythe. I'll leave a link

to their site down below because they've

been making this for over 20 years and

I'm going to share with you a recipe now

so that you can make them at home and

enjoy some of the best garlic bread in

the world, come on let's get and make it.

Now I've got 450 grams, that's

around about a pound of strong bread

flour. Now feel free to do this in a

mixing bowl but I'm just going to make a

little well in the center, into which I'm

going to add a couple of teaspoons of

instant yeast and a teaspoon of salt but

I'm going to keep that away from the

yeast. Now I've got one cup of warm water

which I'm just going to start to pour

into the center and as I do so I'm just

going to draw the flour in. Now as that

starts to draw together into a paste

like that I'm going to add a couple of

tablespoons of olive oil in. Again using

my fork I'm just going to draw that in

together, then I'm going to pull the

batter off the fork and start to use my

fingers to pull this up into a dough. So

we've got this very loose raggy dough

at the moment, what we're going to start

doing is stretching it out. So use the heel

of your hand, had fold it back, turn it and we're

just going to do this for about 10

minutes until we've incorporated all

this loose flour on the table and we've

got a nice silky dough. So you can see

now after 10 minutes of kneading this is

becoming beautiful and silky and we've

developed this lovely gluten tension, the

dough should spring back like that. I'm

going to divide this up into two equal

pieces then I have a couple of bowls

here, I'm going to put a little bit of

olive oil in, take one of my pieces of

dough and just coat it over. I'm going to

cover them over with plastic wrap to

trap all the moisture in, then I'll find

somewhere in the house that's not too

cold, we're going to leave these for up

to an hour until they've doubled in

size. Now whilst the dough Rises I'm

going to mix up my seasoning and by

mixing it up in a bowl first we'll get a

nice even distribution. I've got about

half a cup of lovely grated parmigiano

cheese, now this is garlic powder it's

very strong so I'm going to put about a

quarter of a teaspoon in there to season

this. I've got some Himalayan rock salt,

now I'm going to take about half a

teaspoon, pop it in there as well and

this is completely optional and I don't

always put it in but I'm going to take

some Oregano, a little dried oregano and

sprinkle that in there, couple of pinches

and mix that through and get a nice even

distribution. That smells absolutely

delicious. The dough has risen

beautifully, I'm going to take a little

bit of semolina flour, sprinkle it over

my counter, then gently, I don't want to

knock all the air out of this, I'm going to

get my dough out, lay it down on the

counter. Now here my method changes from

when I make pizza dough, where I'll

stretch out the dough. I don't want to

stretch it because that will give me

uneven thickness and I want a nice even

thickness on this. So I have a rolling

pin, I'm just going to coat it in a

little flour, I'm just going to knock a

little of the air out of our dough and

we're just going to roll it out. Give it

a quarter turn and then roll it in the

other direction, again we keep turning

this. Now a really important thing is to

not roll past the edge here, I don't want

to pinch this edge of the dough thin. So

we just keep turning and roll, stop short

of the edge and we're going to keep

turning this until we get something

around about maybe 12 - 14 inches in

diameter and you'll see because I'm not

pinching to the edge we've got a lovely

even thickness to our dough. Don't be

tempted to push too hard either we want

a nice even, constant thickness across

the dough, probably around about quarter

of an inch maybe a little bit over. Now

gently get your hands underneath the

dough and lift it up onto a baking tray

and I'm putting it onto baking paper for a

reason which you'll see in a moment. Now

I'm just going to let that relax on the

tray for a while whilst I get on and prepare the

other garlic bread. Now we take our first

pizza base and I'm just going to put

about a tablespoon maybe a tablespoon

and a half of olive oil on there. I'm

going to take a brush and we want to

completely coat the surface of this

bread right the way to the edge.

Then we're going to take that premixed

seasoning and I want to just sprinkle it

evenly over the surface of the garlic

bread, it doesn't need to be too thick

and then I'm going to cut some finger

strips out of the bread. Now the only

reason I put the baking paper on

here really was to protect the surface

of my baking tray. I'm using a pizza

wheel, cutting probably about inch

fingers. Now I'm going to prepare the

second one of these and then we're going

to bake them in a hot oven that's 220

degrees celsius 430 fahrenheit and

they're going to take around about 10 to

12 minutes and they should pop up

beautifully. Now there they are you don't

want to over bake these and the room, the

house smells absolutely gorgeous. Now if

you like whilst it's still hot you can

actually take your your pizza cutter and

just cut these in half but look at that

and that's why I stand by this is the

best pizza bread in the world because

the smell in here and I know every last

bit of this is going to be devoured

before it's had time to cool down. So if

you've enjoyed this video and you decide

to make it let me know in the comments

Surviving Traumatic Brain Injury - Terry's Story - Duration: 29:36.

(UPBEAT PIANO MUSIC)

All right, Terry, so let's just review that information we were talking about.

(MUMBLES) OK. So what year are we in? 2012 or 2016?

2012. We're in 2016.

2016.

Andrea? Can you help me...?

Terry was in a severe accident while driving his truck. Uh, it jackknifed and he was ejected from the cab.

Phone rang about half past 9 at night. It was Terry's boss's wife just saying, 'Haven't you heard?'

And I said, 'No, what?' Sort of got that sick feeling in the pit of your stomach.

And she just said that he'd had a truck accident.

He was bringing a load back. We don't know what happened.

Probably never will know what happened. There was no other vehicles involved.

Somebody just came around the corner, and the truck was on its side

and Terry was lying on the road next to the truck.

Oh, spare tyres... Hug me. What are the spare tyres for? Oh, oh, my truck.

Um, I want to go have... I wanna have um... I um... wanna go have a two-day party.

A two-day party? Yes.

Who's that with? I don't know. Somebody.

I think what I've seen with Terry is quite a significant brain injury.

I think it's too early to say... What's happened. ...what the outcome's going to be.

Probably the simple answer that doesn't help you is that at this stage, we don't know.

How are you feeling this morning?

What day would today be? (MUMBLES)

At the moment, Terry is in what we call post-traumatic amnesia,

which is a stage which he is unable to actually be orientated to where he is or what he's doing.

He's quite confused and quite agitated.

He won't know where he is. He won't recognise probably familiar people.

Again, he may recognise some. He won't recall what's happened since his injury, more than likely.

He's very loud and funny. Big personality with a big heart.

He's hands on; loves doing anything with cars. Jack of all trades.

We're sort of friends as well as husband and wife.

Pretty busy. We don't, sort of, have a lot of spare time.

My job's seven days a week, Terry works five days a week.

Then there's our sons, Kevin and Antony.

Oh, we're all the same. We all laugh and joke and be idiots. That's the way we cope.

And so what city are we in right now? (MUMBLES)

We're in West Auckland at a place called ABI Rehabilitation.

So one thing that we aim for at ABI is for clients to emerge from post-traumatic amnesia,

and a big part of that is just going over those key facts of what's the date? Um, how old are you?

Where are you right now? What city are you in? Looks like I'm kind of bothering him and I continue to talk

to him. I'm just trying to get him to keep that engagement with me. Keep attending to me.

So today's Monday. Monday, supposed to be a workday, yes.

Monday's a workday? Supposed to be, yes. Yeah, that's right.

The way we look at it is he's in there somewhere, and so we're just encouraging him to come back out.

You know, some of the little funny things he says and does is so him.

I'm overpaid. I'm over... I'm over strength, though.

Look who's here. Um, just waiting for, um...

Had some beers at the VIP. Yeah, yep. Thank you.

We've already done this before with Kevin's accident.

I was 16. I was a pedestrian, got hit by a car.

I guess, yeah, you never know how you're gonna be with a brain injury.

I guess it's... I mean, there's heaps of different ways it's going to affect you.

(MUMBLES INDISTINCTLY)

I know that he's gonna... it's gonna be a longer rehabilitation.

It was, like, the frustration. Like, with myself, that I couldn't... couldn't do stuff and, you know,

Dad's gonna have to go through it. (MUMBLES) I'm overpaid.

As simple as talking, having a conversation and, like, things you would take for granted.

You know, someone asking you how you were and then... You're not knowing how to actually...

(MUMBLES INDISTINCTLY)

Badly put together, eh?

(SOBS)

(SOMBRE GUITAR MUSIC)

Goodnight, guys. Goodnight. Goodnight, mate.

The best-case scenario would be Terry discharging to be home with his family.

Worst-case scenario would be Terry gets discharged to, maybe, a long-term residential facility

in which he can't live with his family, and so I think at ABI, our goal is to get people to that,

their highest level of independence.

(DOOR SENSOR BEEPS)

Good morning, how are you? Good, thanks.

Yeah, the hardest thing I find at the moment is having to leave him.

I'd rather, I'd rather be able to just stay here all the time.

It's about 260 K's from Kaikohe to Auckland.

(GENTLE GUITAR MUSIC)

(GENTLE GUITAR MUSIC BUILDS)

(SIGHS) Good morning.

What's that picture of? That truck is my truck.

Yeah, it is, isn't it? That's your Big Mack truck, isn't it? Yeah, it is.

Who's that? That's you and Jason.

That's right. When we went and picked him up from kindy that day, wasn't it?

Oh, was it? Yeah. Remember how happy he was? Yeah.

Do you remember that big ice cream we got? Yes, I do.

Yeah, I do. Whenuapai. That's right, yeah.

Yeah, I remember them explaining, um, think of your brain as a filing cabinet,

and you've tipped all the files out in a big pile, and you've now got to put them back in the right place.

Where's that? Do you know where that is? Um...

Do you think it might be the Puhoi Pub? It could be too.

Last time you saw him, he was quite confused and in a delirious state.

So he's starting to progress out of that state at the moment,

and I'm going to start doing a Westmead PTA tool, and we're just going to start seeing if he's

becoming more orientated; and it's a tool that lets us, um, assess when he's able to, um, recall things.

OK. Do you remember I've been asking you some questions each day? Um, mm... yep. Sort of, sort of.

We're just trying to get back some memory, aren't you? That's right, yeah.

OK. Can you tell me ó how old are you, Terry? I'm 20-something. 25.

25? That's quite young. 30. I'm 30.

Am I 30, Andrea?

Andrea can't help you with these questions.

I'll give you the right answer when we've finished. OK.

Have you got grown-up children? Yes, I have.

So, if you're 25, do you think that's gonna be right? Um, mm... no.

When he did his, um, speech therapy yesterday, she went around the room and every item she picked up,

he got it right. So, um, the deodorant, it took him a little bit longer,

but he just said, you know, 'This goes under my arms.' (LAUGHS)

Did say he only uses it twice a year, but... (LAUGHS)

Is it true? (LAUGHS) No! But yeah, no, he was, like, he, they showed him

straws and toothbrushes and shavers and he got all of them right. So that's a huge improvement, as well.

So, we're gonna go 'Ready, steady, stand,' OK? Ready? Ready.

Steady. Stand. Are you ready? We're ready. Good.

When Terry first came in and he was tossing and turning, we knew he had quite good strength,

but the main problem was he wasn't alert, he wasn't following instructions,

he was completely confused, and also he's getting that light-headedness the minute he stood up.

He's becoming more alert of his surroundings now and following instructions much better.

One. You want me to count to what? 30.

30. One. One, two, three, four...

21, 30. (LAUGHTER)

21, 22...

21, 22, 23, 24.

Yeah, getting out. (CHUCKLES) That way. Yep.

To the right. To the right?

Out the door. Out the door. This way, mate. Follow me.

I suppose it's harder for Terry because he's so confused.

He wouldn't be aware that he wasn't able to walk previously

or that he hadn't walked for four or five weeks.

He doesn't have that realisation that he's made that massive step.

We're gonna turn around, Terry. Yep. We're gonna head back inside.

Now I want you to turn around, keep your feet there and then sit down. OK.

There you go. Can we sit up? Or you want to lie down. Just lie down.

Just all on my papers. That's OK.

Hi, Portia. Yep, sure, surely. Sure. I'll just remove your dressing. You're not gonna rip my hair off?

Oh, no, no. You're gonna be careful?

I'll do my best not to rip it. OK. OK, well, that's good. OK then.

Well, he seems to be moving forward a lot quicker now than he was.

Yeah, I don't see him for four days and I just can't believe the difference.

How is that, guys? Is that all right? Is that what you want to see? Yeah. What do you reckon?

Oh, I think it's marvellous. I see Terry in the mirror. That guy that used to have a truck accident,

but he's coming right now, so... yep.

He's OK. Yeah.

Same, same? Different guy? Uh, nah, nah, it's a different guy. He's a better guy.

Yep. Definitely a better guy. He's got good family around him.

Seems to be getting pretty emotional when you bring it up.

Can't believe he crashed the truck and that sort of thing, and that tends to get him crying.

Just means he's actually getting better because he's being more aware.

It's not good. Not good. Even the mornings. You wake up and say, 'What the (BLEEP) am I doing here for?'

And you can't walk properly. But I will. I'll come back. I know I'll walk properly.

(SUBDUED MUSIC)

(GENTLE CHATTER)

I can cook. Well, I used to be able to cook. I haven't done any cooking for a long, long time.

OK. We want to cut the capsicums up for the salad. OK.

So, you can do it -

I'm pretty sure I'm pretty sure I think I still remember how to do that.

I think you probably can too.

So, an occupational therapist role actually encompasses a whole part of someone's life,

so we look at helping people identify what they find difficult to do now,

and then find ways that we can help them re-achieve the roles or the activities they want to do.

With Terry, it's then about looking at doing some building work with him,

doing some meal prep roles that he'd do at home.

I could go for a quick walk now. OK, let's go for a walk. Yeah.

Take your time. (INDISTINCT CHATTER)

Um, I'm just trying to straighten my back out. It's very, very sore.

(DOOR KEYPAD BUTTONS BEEP)

Sit on the edge of the bed, Terry, and then we'll take the belt off. Yep. OK. Thank you.

Oh, disappointing. No, no, it's all right. It's not all right.

It is, because last week you couldn't do the barbecue group at all.

No, I started it. So you did half of it this time.

Started it and couldn't finish it. It's not being good, I tell ya.

Well, it's an impact of the actual, um, truck accident that Terry had.

One of the things that happened apart from the brain injury is that he broke um, fractured his scapula,

I think, from memory. Yeah, scapula. That's right. That's right, yep.

And so for Terry, um, with the constant moving and everything else,

they decided to treat it conservatively. Yeah.

And I suppose because now you're becoming more settled and less confused, Terry,

you're being, you're able to distinguish the pain.

I'll just put the wheat bag behind. Whereabouts do you want it? Right on here.

Is that better?

(MELLOW GUITAR MUSIC)

I'm feeling pretty good, actually, to be honest with you.

My brain feels normal, but I think I can make it better.

It is quite hard because you're not, you're not, um, 100%, so you're not thinking as hard as what you should.

Um, but, yes, it's not too bad. And Kevin's been good because he's had a brain injury

and he's been helping me out quite good. Excuse me. (RUBS HANDS TOGETHER)

(GENTLE PIANO MUSIC)

He comes into that car park there. That car park out the back.

We can, we can, we can hop in and walk out there, if you want. See if where he is.

Was that someone at the front door? Go and see.

Shall we go and see? Go and see if it's Kevin? Go and see if it is.

Could be.

Hey, boy. You're here. Yeah.

This guy here, he likes Holdens today. Today. Today only. Just today?

(CHUCKLES) Just today.

Putting your own shoes on now, mate? Yeah, I am. I'm putting my shoes on every day, yeah.

Yourself? Yep. Yeah, they keep saying to me, 'Are you OK?'

Yeah. Nah. I say, 'Nah. Get out of my way. I'm gonna have a shit.'

(BOTH LAUGH)

I think, like, Dad's accident's made me really think about it because,

well, I had heaps of issues with speaking and, like, word-finding and stuff like that, so it's like,

having a dictionary and someone ripping a couple of pages out so you'd, like,

substitute words that you know, but they're stuck on the tip of your tongue.

I think Kevin was probably luckier having his at 16 cos, um, the young brain will regenerate,

whereas the older brain has to find new pathways.

That's what I sort of tell Terry 'Oh, you're just like Kevin. Kevin got better so, so will you.'

Might not be to that same extent as Kevin, but if he can get home

and he can be happy, that's all that matters.

(GENTLE GUITAR MUSIC)

(GENTLE GUITAR MUSIC CONTINUES)

My goals? To get better and get out of here and go home. I want to start working again.

Terry is aware that he won't be able to drive for a stand-down period of six months.

And, actually, to get back into driving with a commercial licence is going to be extremely difficult.

Hi, Terry. Hi.

So, remember we've done some assessments, and we looked at different types of skills you have?

Yep, that's right. And now I just want to look at the practical skills

that you'd use around home. Yep.

OK. So that's your window. Let's have a little bit more light.

So, what do you think? Can we shorten these so they can only open up so far?

No, cos they're not on the ratchet.

I was looking at Terry's cognition and his thinking, planning and problem-solving skills.

So, this is the shed here, Terry, OK.

Just looking at the really practical - is he able to plan it? Can he sequence it?

Does he have all the information? Can he process the written information?

Can he translate to how he's going to use the tools? Has he got the right tools? Can he do the task?

What about if you read number one? OK, well, I can read that, number one.

OK. 'Use the cam spanner...' oh...

'Using the cam spanner, disengage the arm from the fork.

'Using an Allen key provided, remove the screw located at the end of the arm.'

Yep. There. OK. Yep.

I think we've got the right stuff here now. These are around the wrong way.

You can take it outside and put it on the outside wall.

If we put it on the outside wall, how would it work?

Yeah, that's what I'm going to think about. I'm just going back outside.

When we did the window, Terry did struggle with how he was going to do it.

See, that will screw into there. Right?

But he made some really good choices. When he was going to screw the bolts into the window

where he thought it would be, he was concerned he would break the glass, and he was probably right.

I think it would annoy the crap out of me too if I lived here and something was sticking out this far,

cos you'd smack your arm on it every time. Every time.

Yep, absolutely, that's why we're trying to fix it. Yeah, it'd annoy ya. Yep.

Don't want to cause anyone an injury, do you? No. No. No.

(GENTLE GUITAR MUSIC)

Nice day.

Right. Today, I'm going home for the first time since I've been here.

It'll be great to experience the, um, home living.

Um, yeah.

Right, I suppose I'd better pack some clothes away.

Brain injuries are all completely different and you just don't know.

Even the doctors and that don't really know what the outcome's gonna be.

In a relationship, you always have things that irritate each other in different ways.

And even you have people say, 'Oh, maybe he'll be he'll be better!' and I went,

'No, I want him the way he was.' You know, I married him for who he was,

I don't want him to be a different person, you know? So, I mean, that's what you sort of hope, I suppose,

in the back of your mind, that he will be able to return to be the person he was.

I just packed a few things... OK. ...that I think I need.

Yep. OK?

OK. You just need one long sleeve, one more of these.

Have you got another one of these in your cupboard? Um, I'm not sure.

Um, I can have a look in the drawer.

OK. So what am I looking for? Uh, shirt like you've got on now. The big long-sleeve one.

Oh. Have you got any undies in here? Um, no. No.

So, Terry, when you go home this weekend, that you don't try and do all these big jobs.

I know that. You can't go and use your welder. No.

You can't go and use your tools. No.

You can't, um, leap on a quad bike or tractors or... No. No.

OK, so it's going to be quite a quiet weekend. Yeah, yeah.

I'm 100% sure that I won't do it. Oh. I'm 100% sure you won't, either. Nah. Nah.

(LAUGHS) I'll be a good persn Cos I've told Andrea.

Yeah. I'll be a good person.

Right. Let's go home.

The big trip.

First thing we're gonna do we're gonna hop in the car and go home. (LAUGHS)

Yep. When you get home, what's the first thing you're gonna do?

Um, well... no, I think I might just go for a little walk around the place and have a look.

(CAR ENGINE STARTS)

Taking Terry home for his first weekend back home, so it'll be interesting to see how he responds.

OK, we're going through a highway. Heading to Kaikohe.

Best-case scenario would be he does what he's told. (LAUGHS) Doesn't overdo things and just lies back

and has a nice, relaxing weekend. Right. This is our kennels. Um, this is our house.

We're home. Hey, Eddie! Hey, Ed. (DOGS BARK) Hello, mate. Hello!

Do you want your cup, Andrea? Yeah, do you remember which one it is?

Yep. This is your cup. You happy with that? Yep.

OK, cool.

OK.

So you can talk to me. (CHUCKLES) (BARKING)

What do you think about me being home?

I dunno yet. You haven't been here long enough. Oh, OK. Fair comment.

(CHUCKLES) Can't wait to do some mowing just to prove that, yeah, I can mow.

Yep.

(LAWNMOWER MOTOR HUMS)

Every time I ask him if he's OK, he just goes, 'I'm all right,'

and I go, 'Well, that's not really what I want to know. I wanna know if you've got pain or if you've,

'you know, if you're feeling tired,' because I said, 'It's no good just saying you're OK when you're not.'

I said to him he's lost his inner strength and he needs to just build that up.

You don't want, you don't want to overdo it. Probably enough now, eh?

I had to stop mowing the lawn otherwise I get tired and fatigued. It just makes me tired,

so just thought it'd be the right time to stop so that's why I gave it to Andrea to use. Yeah.

And you thought it was OK? Yep. Nice to operate, isn't it?

Yep. Very smooth and that, yeah. It gets a bit noisy.

Did you want me to go and cook a pikelet? Mm, yeah, probably, you'd better.

You'd better have a drink too, eh? Yep.

I think that's flour. Um, plain flour, yep.

I am allowed to say, 'Told you so,' if it doesn't work? (CHUCKLES)

At the moment, it's glue. It's glue! (LAUGHS) Glue pikelets.

Mate, these'll be perfect. One bite of these you'll fizz. (BOTH LAUGH)

(GENTLE GUITAR MUSIC)

This is just lovely sitting here, eating these. Is it?

Yep.

You gotta make me pudding too, remember? Yeah, I'll make you pudding. When?

Tomorrow. You've got lots of cooking to do tomorrow.

Yeah, I'm gonna make I'm making you ginger pudding. I promised you that.

He's still the same Terry but just a little bit different.

He was probably always that, but he was so busy. You know, he worked such long hours and that,

and then on the weekends, he'd he working on the house, so...

Whereas now, it's almost like you're getting to know each other again sort of thing. It's weird.

It's, yeah.

Um, it's just good to be home and give you a bit of a cuddle again. Yep.

OK. You enjoyed that? Yeah. Oh, that's good.

(COUNTRY MUSIC)

(JEEP ENGINE STARTS)

Terry got discharged from ABI. It's been really good just having him with me all the time

and being a lot bigger part of his rehab.

I'm almost like one of Terry's therapists, and, and just monitoring what he's doing

and giving him little jobs to help build his confidence back up and help him get his strength

and his... get all his brain working properly.

Nothing's ever easy, is it?

(HAMMERING)

I go for a 2K walk every morning with Andrea.

She actually she makes sure I do I do those things every day, which is, I didn't like at first,

but I actually like it now because it's just routine and it keeps me fit.

Uh, everything that he does requires a lot more concentration and thinking before he does it.

But he's really good. He just sort of sits back and, and thinks about what he's doing.

Anyway, Terry, I think it's getting a bit hot. We might... give this up for the day, eh?

Yeah, OK. All right. And have another go tomorrow.

Yeah, it's a bit of a pity, but anyway. OK. We'll do that.

(BARKING)

(KNOCKING) Yeah, just come in, yeah.

How are you, Terry? Good, thank you. Good. Nice to see you.

Yeah. Thank you. Happy New Year. Happy New Year. (CHUCKLES) Yeah.

2017 now. 2017. Yeah.

So, I'm looking at your daily schedule.

This is a tool we like to use to help you manage your fatigue, and it also manages your time.

And as we talked about with the brain injury, it is about fatigue management.

Yeah, so you don't get that zoom and bank.

Yeah, boom and bust. Boom and bust, that's the one.

So that we can, so that you can manage the week,... Yep.

...and do activities over the week,... Yep.

...um, without, um, becoming extremely fatigued or having to be in bed for three days

or feeling completely wiped out. I like the fact that you've got some consistency in your week.

You've got your morning walk. And then it looks like you like to tackle something practical.

Yep, I do. I do a bit of practical work.

So in terms of cognitive activities, this is great rehab. You're problem solving.

Yep. You're having to attend and concentrate

for various periods of time. Remember, if it becomes too much stop, walk away.

Yep, yep. Reschedule a time.

I'm actually getting better and better at that.

I'm thinking about what I'm gonna do for work when I get better

I'm confident that I will drive again and getting my independence back cos it's...

I can't rely on Andrea to take me everywhere, um, cos she you know, she's got things to do as well.

So it's gonna be nice that I can actually hop in the go walk out outside and just hop in the car

and drive it to where we gotta go.

(LAID-BACK GUITAR MUSIC)

(WHISTLING)

Terry's come so far. I mean, you know, there was a while there, he...

The first six weeks where he was really not making much improvement at all and you did sort of wonder

whether he was ever gonna come right, and then and then it just happened really quickly.

It's warm, but it's not burn-your-skin off warm.

You just don't know what you're gonna get,

and I think you've just, sort of, gotta focus on forward and not backwards

and hope that it'll all come right.

It's a bit like the pancakes it's starting to make me fizz. (CHUCKLES) Terry.

No, no positives come out of this whole journey at all

because the journey had it it put me in a life, um...

Yeah, it just it yes, it stuffed me up a lot.

It's definitely slowed me down, yep. It's given me heaps more time with the family

and heaps more time to think about my future moves and that.

That is the life, just sitting here.

It's actually changed the things about how I want to live now. I just wanna take each day as it comes.

I'm not touching you, you spy. (BOTH LAUGH)

Tesla 8.1 release Easter Egg, SpaceX rocket re-use, Chinese investment | Tesla News - Duration: 1:11.

Elon Musk had tweeted about a new Easter egg hidden in the latest 8.1 software release

rolling out this week.

Tapping the Tesla logo at the top of the center screen three times turns the entire screen

into a sketchpad.

Users can publish their work, though it is not yet clear what actually happens to it

once it is submitted.

SpaceX had achieved a historic mark last week by re-launching a previously used Falcon 9

rocket booster which is the most expensive part of the entire vehicle.

Such new practice can cut the cost of every launch by at least thirty percent.

Also last week, Tencent, one of the largest Chinese companies had invested into five percent

share in Tesla becoming one of Tesla's biggest shareholders.

It is clear that beyond the raised capital, Tesla had gained a strategic partner for its

efforts in China.

Tesla stock had closed at $278.30 on Friday up almost 6 percent for the week.

Photoshop Tutorial: How to Create an Awesome Poster with Wrap-around Text - Duration: 16:14.

Hi. This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

I'm going to show you how to create a powerfully compelling poster

with gradient text, a beautifully-effected photo and body copy that wraps around your subject.

Open a photo of someone that you'd like to use for this project.

I downloaded this one from Shutterstock.

Before we begin, I want to mention that I'll be moving a bit quicker for more advanced users.

The first step is to separate the subject from its background by making a selection

around your subject.

For this example, I'll use the Quick Selection Tool, which I covered how to use in many of my tutorials.

Refine your selection by using Select and Mask filter

or Refine Edge filter depending on which Photoshop version you're using.

I did in-depth tutorials on both filters, so if you want to watch them, I provided their

links in my video's description below.

Output it to a "Layer with Layer Mask".

We'll convert it into a Smart Object , which will allow us to modify or adjust the filters

that we'll be adding to the image.

Click the icon at the upper right of the Layers panel and click "Convert to Smart Object".

Make a new layer below it, by Ctrl-clicking or Cmd-clicking the New Layer icon.

We'll fill the empty layer with black, but first, if your foreground and background layers

aren't black and white respectively, press "D" on your keyboard.

Since black is your foreground color, press Alt or Option + Delete to fill the empty layer

with black.

Make the top layer active and click the Adjustment layer icon.

Click "Hue/Saturation"

and check, "Colorize".

For the Hue, I'll type in 209, the Saturation: 53 and for Lightness, I'll keep it at 0.

Feel free to adjust these settings for your image.

Make your image active and go to Filter and Filter Gallery.

If you want to see more of your image, press Ctrl or Cmd and the minus key on your keyboard.

Open the "Distort" folder and click "Diffuse Glow".

I'll keep the Graininess: 0, the Glow Amount: 2 and the Clear Amount: 10,

but again, feel free to adjust these amounts.

Click the "fx" icon and click "Outer Glow".

The color is white, the Blend Mode is Normal and the Opacity is 100%.

The technique is "Softer" and the Spread is 0.

For this image, I made the Size: 20 pixels, however, you may want to adjust the size amount

depending on the size and resolution of your document.

Click Inner Glow.

The color is white, the Blend Mode is "Color Dodge" and the Opacity is 50%.

The Technique is Softer and the Source is Edge.

I'll make the Choke 10% and the Size: 250 pixels, but again, you may want to adjust these amounts.

To save space in the Layers panel, let's collapse the effects.

We're ready to add our main text.

Open your Horizontal Type Tool.

We'll make our text temporarily white, so we can see it over the background.

To do this, invert the foreground and background colors by clicking this icon or by pressing

"x" on our keyboard.

Pick a font.

I'm using Bank Gothic Bold.

If you'd like to use as well, I provided its link in my video's description or project files below.

Make its size temporarily 100 points, so its large enough to see.

Click the "Center Alignment" icon.

Click on your document and type out your text.

We want to increase its size to near the edges of our poster.

To do this, click your Move Tool and press Ctrl or Cmd + T to open your Transform Tool.

Go to a corner and when you see a diagonal, double-arrow, press and hold Alt or Option

+ Shift as you drag it out.

Then, press Enter or Return.

To center it over the document, press Ctrl or Cmd + A to select our canvas

and click the "Align Horizontal Centers" icon.

To deselect it, press Ctrl or Cmd + D. Go to View and make sure Rulers and Snap are checked.

If they aren't just click on them.

Go to the left ruler and drag out a guide line until it snaps to the left edge of your text.

If you don't see the guide line, press Ctrl or Cmd + H. Go back to the ruler

and drag our another guide line to the right edge of your text.

Scroll to the top of the Layers panel and drag your text layer to the top.

Click the "fx" icon and click "Gradient Overlay".

Click the gradient bar to open the Gradient Editor.

Click the "Black, White" Preset and the lower, left Stop.

Click the color box to open the Color Picker.

Pick a color for the bottom of your gradient text.

Since I already know the color I want, I'll type it into the hexadecimal field: 12D0FF.

Once you pick your color, to accept it, press Enter or Return three times to close all three windows.

Make a copy of the text by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + J.

Go to the text and press and hold Shift as you drag the copy straight down.

Press "T" to open your Type Tool and highlight your text.

If your new line of text has more characters than it has now, go to the "T" icon at the

top and drag your cursor to the left.

Now, type out your text.

To increase its size, click your Move Tool and open your Transform Tool to increase its

size to the guidelines.

To move your text over 1 pixels at a time, press the left or right arrow key on your keyboard.

Once your text is lined up with the guide lines, press Enter or Return to accept it.

Use your up or down arrow key on your keyboard to slide your text up or down equidistant

to the the bottom of your document as your other text is to the top of your document.

Scroll to the bottom and make the black layer active.

Above it, we're going to place another line of text, which will appear behind our subject

and our other lines of text.

Open your Horizontal Type Tool again and click on the background.

For this text, I'll use "Dense Regular".

If you'd like to use it, I provided its link, as well.

I'll increase its size and type out my text.

Since, I'm going to ultimately increase its size to the edges of my poster, I'll zoom

out of my document by pressing Ctrl or Cmd plus the minus key on my keyboard.

Open your Move Tool and drag your text to the center.

Open your Transform Tool and increase your text to the edges of your poster.

Before we give this text some color, we first need to clip our subject's adjustment layer

to just the subject, otherwise the adjustment layer will affect all the layers below it

including this text.

We'll make the Hue/Saturation adjustment layer into a clipping mask by first, making it active

and pressing Ctrl + Alt + G on Windows or Cmd + Option + G on a Mac.

Now, the Adjustment layer is affecting only our subject and no other layers.

Double-click your bottom text to highlight it.

At the top, click the color box to open the Color Picker and pick a color for your background text.

I'll type in: 00498C.

Open your Move Tool.

To fit your document back onto your canvas, press Ctrl or Cmd + 0.

To make our bottom and top text pop more, we'll add soft black gradients behind them.

To do this, make the adjustment layer active and click the New Layer icon to make a new layer above it.

We want the foreground color to be black, so press "x" on your keyboard to invert your colors.

Open your Gradient Tool and make sure your Linear Gradient icon is active.

Click the gradient bar to open the Gradient Editor.

Click the "Foreground to Transparent" preset and click OK.

Go to the top of your poster and press and hold Shift

as you drag the Gradient Tool to approximately here.

Go to the bottom and repeat the process as you drag the tool up.

Next, we'll add text that wraps around the outside of our subject.

Ctrl-click or Cmd-click the thumbnail of our subject to make a selection of its shape.

Go to Select, Modify and Expand.

I'll expand it 20 pixels, but you may want to adjust this amount based on your document's

size and resolution.

Invert your selection by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + Shift + I.

Open your Rectangular Marquee Tool and place your cursor on the left guideline below your top text.

Press and hold Alt or Option + Shift as you drag your tool to the lower, right guideline

above your text.

Then, release.

Your selection now should look similar to mine.

Open your Paths panel.

If you don't see it, go to Window and Paths.

Open the fly-out list and click "Make Work Path".

Keep the default Tolerance of point 5 pixels.

Then, save the Path and click OK.

Before we add the text that will wrap around the outside of our subject, we need to temporarily

hide the large text behind our subject to avoid activating the large text when we click

on our document.

Open back the Layers panel.

Click the New Layer icon to make a new layer and scroll down to your large text.

Click the eyeball icon to hide the text and scroll back up to the empty layer you just made.

Open your Type Tool again and invert your foreground and background colors.

I'll pick Bank Gothic Bold.

Once you pick your font, click this icon, which opens the Character and Paragraph panels.

I'll make its size 16 points and the Leading 15 points.

Leading is the space between lines of text.

You can change these amounts later if you like.

Open the Paragraph panel and click the "Left Align Text" icon.

Hide the guidelines by pressing Ctrl or Cmd + H.

We're ready to add paragraphs of text to the left of our subject.

Click inside the path.

There are 3 ways you can add text inside a work path.

One way is to actually type your text inside the path.

Another way is to copy and paste text from an outside source

and the third way is to paste in or generate "Lorem Ipsum".

This is essentially filler text, also known as "dummy text".

It's meant to serve as a placeholder for the actual text that you'll ultimately use.

Version CS6 and later already comes with its own Lorem Ipsum generator, however, if you're

using an earlier version, I included a few links of free, online Lorem Ipsum generators.

If you're using CS6 or later, go to Type and "Paste Lorem Ipsum".

Automatically, it pastes in the font, size, Leading and alignment you chose.

When we click on "Right Align Text", our text justifies to the right edge of our path.

I'll click back on "Left Align Text", however, feel free to experiment with the alignments.

Click your Move Tool and open back your Paths panel.

Click the thumbnail of "Path 1" and open your Type Tool.

Click inside the right path.

I'll click the "Right Align Text" icon and go back to Type and "Paste Lorem Ipsum".

Click your Move Tool and close the Character and Paragraph panels.

Open back your Layers panel, scroll to the large text and make it visible.

This is Marty from Blue Lightning TV.

March Wrap Up! - Duration: 4:25.

Hey guys my battery is almost dead

because I forgot to charge it, so I have

to make this really quick. Here is my

March wrap-up. I read or rather finished

four books in March which is the least

out of any month so far this year. The

first book that I read was another book

about Hygge and this one was written by

the CEO of the Center for Happiness or

something like that which is based in

Denmark. I liked this book more than the

last book I read about Hygge and rated

this one 5 stars. The next book was Big

Mushy Happy Lump by Sarah Andersen and I

love her comics so much and even though I

had already read almost all of these

I really enjoyed it because her comics

are just so much me, and the way that I

think. I rated it 5 stars. The next book

that I finished was The Path of Daggers,

the eighth book in the Wheel of Time

series, and I did really enjoy this one

because most of it was my favorite

characters but there were a few chapters

where I consistently fell asleep so I

rated it four stars. And the last one

that I finished was March Book 3 by John

Lewis. I didn't get to this one until

almost the end of March so it did take

longer than I was hoping to arrive from

the library, and I rated this one 4 stars

because, while it is very beautiful and

well done, and important, a lot of it

focused a little bit too much on the

historical context and dates and facts

and names that weren't really central to

the personal story being told, and it was

a lot longer than book one or two but

still very highly recommended. So I did

finish one big book off of my shelves which

was the book I had been borrowing

from my brother for a long time and it

has since been replaced with book nine,

which is also pretty big. And I have

started a new book but I

have been feeling like too much of my

time has been taken up by trying to get

through these big books relatively

quickly so in April I am planning to

take a break from starting a new big

book. Though I am currently reading one that

I started in March, I'm not going to

pressure myself to get through it

quickly so that I can start the next one,

because I am also behind on youtube

subscriptions, I'm behind on podcasts by

an entire month, I am behind on

television by like three months, I don't

even know how long, it's been ages. So I

really need to get caught up on all of

that. I did not finish any diverse ebooks

but I am almost halfway through one

right now so I'm planning to spend time

reading that as well. And this is also

the month that Breath of the Wild will

be arriving because I did go ahead and

order it for my wiiu, because after

watching a compilation video of all the

horrifying things that are happening to

peoples' switches I have decided to wait on

that and just go ahead with the wiiu. So

I will be doing that, it is also my

birthday month so I'm just going to

enjoy it and not put any pressure on

myself. if you do want to know what I am

currently reading you can always find me

on Goodreads, I am heyheybooks there.

The big book that I am currently reading

right now is from another series that

I'm trying to get through that I am

borrowing and when I received that book

my mom also gave me another big book

that is a companion to the series that

covers the books I have already read and

it's pretty much as big as The Stand so

I am kind of on the same exact number of

big books that I started out with in the

beginning of the year. sigh - I think I got

through everything I wanted to say

before the battery died, so thank you for

watching. Let me know how your March

reading went and if you have any reading

plans for April, and as always thank you

for watching this video!

bye! (haha)

Was I Wrong About Reach Records? | Lecrae, Andy Mineo, Gawvi - Duration: 6:18.

so I started off my channel with 5

subscribers and all five of them being

me and my first upload being problems with

Christian hip-hop and looking over that

video and I guess all my other videos I

wish I had been a bit more graceful

about it and I think and that especially

in the earlier ones not so much the

later ones I think I kind of a dehumanized

them in a way especially the problems

with Christian hip-hop and i even went

into that video with that mindset of not

to dehumanize them and when you get some

exposure and you have your name and face

out there your beliefs get put to the

test pretty fast especially with videos

like problems with Christian hip-hop and

is NF prideful? and back then I'd read

every single comment and I wish in those

videos I would have put my point across

a bit better and I call this video was I

wrong about reach records because I

watched a documentary by this is me on

GAWVI it's their latest video it'll

probably be playing in the background of

this video so the link will be in the

description and although I still stand

by most of what i said i think my

delivery could have been a bit better

and at the start i think i had a bit of

a small perspective on everything with

regards to Christian hip-hop because I

listen to people like saiko woods and

even though his views on it may be right

and biblical his delivery on it is very

harsh and I realized with a lot of

people that isn't the way to deliver it

and recently a lot more of my comments

have been a lot more reasonable actually

have a proper conversation and there'll

be a lot of you guys who keep coming

back and commenting which is very

encouraging

there's definetly people that Ive noticed

like Chris like I believe GA prank calls

he was they're almost from the start and theres

probably a lot more of you who have been

commenting over my last 14 videos which

is pretty crazy but with regards to

reach records obviously I've made a lot

of videos with there artists in it so

problems with Christian hip-hop I talked

about Lecrae and andy mineo i did a

video called dear Lecrae where I talked

about Lecrae kind of similar to problems

with Christian hip-hop, christian hip

hop's identity crisis i talked about

Lecrae I've done a lot of videos about

them i did a video on GAWVI and

watching the documentary on GAWVI

it kind of opened my eyes a bit to see the

human side of them because with the

reach records guys you don't really see

much behind the scenes stuff and I guess

that kind of hurts them in a way I mean

obviously there's behind-the-scenes

stuff about them but with the public

perception with them taking away their

mission statement taking out the Romans

verse and what 116 is all about and I

guess the mainstream collaborations and

I still stand by all those things that

I've said about them but I just think

the delivery of it could have been a bit

better could have been a bit more

compassionate towards them and when I

first started doing these videos I've

always done it from a good place I guess

some some of them may have rubbed people

the wrong way obviously people always be

rubbed the wrong way but I think I could

have delivered it a bit bitter and i

plan to in the future like colossians

4:6 says let your speech be always with

grace seasoned with salt that ye may

know how ye ought to answer every man

now obviously that's a king james

version but i think that point of your

speech always being was grace but

seasoned with salt that that was kind of

my goal and i plan to be like that in

the future and I know some of you will

think oh your last videos we're fine but

watching over that last problems with

Christian hip-hop I think I could be a

bit better and just seeing that human

side with that GAWVI documentary think

open my eyes of that go and check out

that documentary it will be in the

description

and highly recommend it very very well

done and I have them on my recommended

channels as well with I believe I've

trackstarz, Joseph Solomon, Ruslan and

then this is me TV so go and check out

those channels but specifically this

video go and check that one out it's a good

one and although I still stand by most

of what I've said maybe with the GAWVI

not having as much God in his music may

it may have not said that if I made that

video now because seeing his vision

behind it and it is EDM where there

aren't that many lyrics anyway but other

than that I still stand by what I've

said about reach records artists because

that's most of what I've talked about

ive talked about iNF quite a bit

and Brandon p a tiny bit in the using

God's name in vain video but yeah that's

just some things I wanted to get off my

chest and top 10 Christian hip-hop songs

should be out in the next 3 3 to 4 days

maybe even two days after this video

comes out I know it's been requested

quite a few times so I'll get that one

out to you guys and a Christian Hip

Is kind of boring at the moment

because it hasn't been there much music

but i'll try and keep content coming out

pretty regularly until music starts to

come out and a lot of people are waiting

for in NF and lecrae's albums so i'll

keep you guys posted on that and ah yeah

let's have a discussion in the comments

I enjoy your guys comments I don't know

how long this video will be but I'll

leave a like have you enjoyed subscribe

if you want to see more and go and check

out that video in the description it's a

great video and yeah go and subscribe to

this is me TV as well they're a great

channel and ah they do all these

documentaries about Christians whether

they're in music or fighting or motocross

so you go and check them out subscribe

if you want to see more of my videos and

I will see you guys in my next video

Frogz's Throne (Game of Thrones Parody) SEASON 1 EPISODE 3 - Duration: 4:46.

In order to gain power,

We've decided to betroth Clarisse to a rich and powerful nobleman.

Problem is...Her future husband arrives today

and I have absolutely no idea how I'm gonna prepare the ceremony.

So let's go...

Ideas !

Religious ceremony.

Avoiding killing during cake time ?

Oh fuck...We need a cake.

Just start with asking my opinion ?

Can I choose my husband ?

I'd like to marry the man I love...

Hello sir, you have a really beautiful horse !

Not at all, it's not a horse, it's a chair...

Oh, oh ! Seriously...

We need a cake, it's stressing me out...

Frogz's Throne

It's utterly disgusting !

I'm being forced to get married and I can't say a thing because I'm a woman ?

Well, yeah.

It's a joke ?

No, as a lord I have the right to comand her to get married.

However, regarding the cake...

I really don't know what to do.

Perhaps we can have multiple pies !

In order to have a panel.

The last wedding in the realm went really badly...

And I don't mean "really badly" like in food poisonning,

It was a blood bath !

Sticking of pregnant women, arrows in the eyes, throat-rippings...

We're gonna try to do something more festive.

And so "mysteries should be kept".

So, this is Aelys, our sword master.

Hello.

Reflex !

He's the best.

This is Yorel, our maester.

Ah, the maester is a kind of priest here, is he ?

Yes.

Okaay...

What's the matter ?

No, nothing...

Yes there's something.

Well, yes, yes, you have a warrior, you have a priest, you have a castle...

You have...an armor and all that.

Well what's your point ? I'm not gonna put a ficus.

Hum...No...It's just like my home.

No...

Well, yes it is ! I'm sorry, but it looks so much alike.

If I didn't know you, I may have thought that you've imitate the style.

No, I swear to you...We don't do that.

Well, yeah...But him, I have exactly the same.

Thinner.

Come, come.

Yeah, when there's stones and armours it looks alike...

And last but not least, this is Clarisse.

Hello.

Very well.

Very well...

And where is my wife ?

You're betrothed to Clarisse.

I'm betrothed to ?

You're betrothed to Clarisse.

Greetiiiings...

Ok...

Alright...

Alright...

Being forced to marry a lord I've never met before

I find it outrageous...

And inhuman, and...

But given that it's done to maintain the house's honnor, I'll do it.

He's cute.

As soon as I saw her, time stopped.

And I immediatly felt that I wasn't in.

We're doing a ceremony rehearsal.

I wouldn't have guessed that Clarisse would be so driven.

It's too much ?

Are we sure that it's a good idea ?

What, the apples ? In some regions, it's a medecine...

No, haven't we rush things a little ?

You're giving me the only lady of your court...

And I don't feel up to taking her from you.

Clarisse ? But we don't give a shit about Clarisse,

We only care about the alliance.

Yeah, we can be allies, we can hella be allies !

-You mean without the marriage ? -Yes !

Wait, no, it's not fair at all...

Perfect, it's great, I'm delighted,

And now i'd like to...leave, quickly.

Ok.

Clarisse !

Good news, there's no wedding.

Why ?

Ah ! Dear allies !

What a pleasure...to be...

Well...your ally.

I've said ally twice...

I'm so honored...to be a part of this...

...Thing...

I'm proud, the meaning of my pride is nothing but...

...This church within each one of you... Thank you !

That's great, thank you !

Is he gone ?

Nooooooooooooo !!!
