Mann maintains their Learning Center program in this scenario.
This is the current boundary for Rockwell Elementary School.
This is the draft boundary.
At Rockwell Elementary the proposed boundary change shifts students
to North Redmond Elementary and Rockwell receives some students from Einstein.
Rockwell will have a Quest program in this scenario.
North Redmond Elementary School is one of our new elementary schools

section but but I do want to get your reaction to this president Trump seems
to be calling for a boycott of the NFL he's also calling for players who take a
knee to protest what they see as racial
inequities to be fired or suspended what's your reaction to what we're
seeing at Wembley Stadium in London right now good morning and great to be
here with you the NFL has all different types of rules you can't have stickers
on your helmet you have to have your uniforms tucked in what the president is
saying and I think the owner should meet and they should vote on a rule this is
about respect for our military this is about respect for our first responders
this is not about Republicans or Democrats players have the right for
free speech off the field on the field this is about respect for lots of people
and I don't understand why there's rules that when the Dallas Cowboys wanted to
put stickers on their helmets out of respect for people there they couldn't
do it but now the NFL is saying people should be able to decide what they want
to do and disrespect the United States flag well to play devil's advocate here
first of all these players don't think they're disrespecting the United States
flag they think that they are engaging in peaceful protest of what they see is
racial oppression and inequities and as you know Roger Goodell the head of the
NFL and all a whole host of team owners including Robert Kraft who is a friend
of President Trump have issued statements supporting their players
right to do this and criticizing the president's comments including Robert
Kraft specifically criticizing the president's tone why is this a fight
that the president wants to have I don't think it's a question of a fight that
the president wants to have he thinks this is about respect for the military
and so many people who put their lives at risk and what the country stands for
and the owner should meet and they should decide on this rule the way they
decide on any other rule again you know for as long as I can remember people
have stood in honor of the country this isn't about politics if people want to
talk politics off the field when they're not working for the NF
they have the absolute right to do that all right I could do the whole interview
on this topic but there are some other big pressing issues let's talk about
healthcare three Republican senators john mccain susan collins rand paul have
expressed strong disapproval of the gramm cassidy bill Rand Paul did open
the door this morning to backing the bill if it undergoes a major change
getting rid of block grants is President Trump if well let's talk about that
first of all is president Trump willing to get rid of the Block Grant part of
this bill in order to win the support of Senator Paul I I think the president
hasn't made any decisions on that what the president has decided is Obamacare
is broken the taxes are going to start hitting people the penalties are going
to start hitting people the premiums are going up
Republicans have campaigned on repeal and replace which the president is on
board and I think it's unfortunate that last time it came down to one vote and
this time it's gonna be very close I hope it passes if it does not pass is
President Trump ready to work with Democrats to actually
do something to fix the problems in Obamacare as you know there is a
bipartisan effort right now between senators Alexander and patty Murray of
Washington State Senator Collins was talking that up earlier today when she
suggested she would be in all likelihood a no on Graham Cassidy is a bipartisan
approach the next approach if Graham Cassidy fails I think the president's
always willing to work on a bipartisan basis as you know we had an important
meeting in the Oval Office where the president cut a deal right after the
Hurricanes I think we have I know we have a meeting on taxes at the White
House on Tuesday with Republicans and Democrats from the Ways and Means part I
think unfortunately the Democrats on health care have put very high demands
on they don't want to change many aspects of Obama care but to the extent
they're willing to come to the table and fix it I think that's the president
would always listen to we're about fixing Obamacare it's broken and it
requires people to do lots of things that that they just shouldn't be forced
to do let's turn to the president's tax agenda the president is expected to roll
out a tax plan on Wednesday Axios is reporting that the plan would
cut the tax rate paid by the wealthy Americans
from almost 40% to about 35% as well as making dramatic reductions on taxes on
big businesses small businesses when you were selected as Treasury secretary you
made a very specific promise it was quickly dubbed the minuchin rule take a
listen any reductions we have in upper income
taxes will be offset by less deductions so that there will be no tax absolute
tax cut for the upper class can you reassure me that there will be quote no
absolute tax cut for the upper class as the manoosh enrolls still in effect I
did say that I just want to clarify it was never a promise it was never a
pledge what it was and it is still it was what the president's objective was
now we've been working with the bipartisan leadership we look forward to
releasing the plan this week I think what's important about this plan is it
creates a middle-income tax cut it makes businesses competitive and it creates
jobs that's what this is all about and as it relates to the high end you know
there's lots of changes we're getting rid of lots of deductions we're trying
to get rid of state and local deductions to get the federal government out of
subsidizing it and yes I can tell you the current plan for many many people it
will not reduce taxes on the high end let's start at North Korea you said on
Friday that new sanctions on North Korea are not directed specifically at China
but a broader question given the China is by far in North Korea's largest
trading partner and president Trump has said the China needs to do more
shouldn't the sanctions be directed at China well the President signed an
executive order is very very significant it gives the Treasury more authorities
than we've ever had before it allows us to block many transactions with anybody
that does trade or other significant business with North Korea it gives us
the ability to block financial institutions that facilitate the
president is very committed to blocking economic transactions and that's what
this is all about all right Treasury secretary Steve minuchin thank

I've been a very nasty girl here on Youtube lately, I kow
but let's move on, cause you know, that's not a drama movie so
I'm pretty sure you're here for content and let's go!
Well the last time that I talked to you guys I was in Muscatine. You guys remember right? In Iowa!
But now I live in North Liberty, it's another city
Yep, we moved to another city and that's why I'm here today
- to share how it is to rent a house here in the USA, from the moment we started browsing a house on the web
to the day we finally moved. I'm also gonna talk about costs, curiosities, processes and much more.
Just one point: all the information that I'm providing here is related to Iowa, ok?
General rules and prices may vary a lot from state to state.

So the first question: Why did we decide to move?
You guys know that I love Muscatine, it's a very beautiful city, a small city but a very beautiful city
but the point is, Tuca - Tuca is my husband - so Tuca and I used to live in an apartment
It was just a two-story apartment but it was an apartment and that's the first reason:
We really wanted to live in a house. Yeah, with a nice garden, a yard, a nice garage...
and I'm gonna add some other extra facts that we were considering when moving to another place
Our car used to be parked off-street. Well, it's ok most of the times but
when it's hailing, it might damage your car if the stones are too big - or even worse, when it's snowing.
So a garage would be nice! Another point: where we lived there was not a single window in the kitchen
so, I don't know... just grill/fry - whatever - a steak and you'll have a foggy house
and a crazy fire alarm screaming to the moon and back. I mean, really out loud.
You get desperate. I don't know if you have ever heard but I'll try to find a video and put it in here
And the last reason is regarding the bathtub. If you don't know, when you take a shower here in the US
most of the houses have a bathtub and a plastic shower curtain.
Once again that's very different to me since in Brazil, back in Brazil, I used to take a shower in boxes.
Guys I'm not complaning ok? I'm just telling you why we decided to move because here in the house where we're living
we could find all these things. But everything was great, everything was amazing, wonderful.
There was nothing I would complain like, for a second about the house where I lived. I'm serious and I mean it.
Actually I'm very very thankful for the whole opportunity I had in that house and now in this one so please, don't get me wrong ok? :)
And you might say that I'm being very picky and I don't know maybe I am but I'd like to share with you like friends you know...
the reason that we considered when moving to another house. And I guess that's normal, we always want something better.
One more point: it was summer - actually now it's fall, fall has just started - but it was summer
and we realized we could have some extra benefits like having a yard, we could grill, call some friends, have a party...
have a garden to grow all my flowers and herbs, you know, more space!
Ok so where do we usually find houses to rent? Basically on the web
You know, home owners also advertise on local newspapers but most people search on the web, on facebook groups,
realtor websites, I don't know and things related to that.
And Erika, now the question that I wanna know is: How much is it to rent a house in Iowa?
So just out of curiosity, if you're planning to rent a house with like, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a laundry, a living room...
You're gonna pay aroung $1,000 - actually it might range from $800 to $1,200 + utilities
Now if you wanna add an extra bedroom, a garage and probably more space, you'll pay from $1,200 to $2,000 + utilities
Erika, you're saying UTILITIES, UTILITIES... WHAT ARE UTILITIES?
Guys, utilities are: GAS + ELECTRICITY +WATER + TRASH AND RECYCLING + whatever you wish like INTERNET / CABLE TV
Guys, that was just a guesstimate to rent a house here, in a small city, here in Iowa.
Have you ever hear of that expression: GUESSTIMATE? You know I love sharing a different vocabulary with you all, right?
It's a GUESS and an ESTIMATE of something. A very very very common word or expression if you prefer to call it like that
here in the US so you'd better memorize it! So going back to the story...
Our friend Marcelo Bahia was browsing the web, he was trying to find a house for us as well.
He knew what we wanted, the budget we had, by the way THANK YOU again Bahia, you're such a good friend!
And actually he found the house where I am living right now! Now I'll tell you something very very funny:
The day we came to visit the house, you know, I got so in love with the space especially because the remodelled the house
that I wanted to sign the leasing the same day of the visit. I basically asked the landlord:
"Ok so what's the next step? I mean, where do I sign?" and Tuca looked at me like:
"Aren't going to talk to me and ask my opinion? - but he liked the house of course!
But there's a process to rent a house. It's not like "Ok, I liked the house, where do I sign? Can I move tomorrow" No it's not like that
It's pretty different at least from Brazil and that's the next question I'm going to answer:
What is the process to rent a house? Again, here in Iowa! First of all, again you don't need a guarantor to rent a house
You have to pay a safe deposit. Ok so What is a safe deposit? Well the safe deposit it is the same amount as your rent
and you pay it previously or with your first rent. When your leasing finishes and you decide to move to another house and everything
is ok with the house, if you haven't broken anything, the landlord will give all your money back, I mean your safe deposit
Second: when you decide you want to move to the house, you want to rent the house, you have to fill an application
I'll just leave an application so you can have an ideia of what it is and in our case, with the application we paid $60
This money was used to check our credit history and also our background. Well, if approved you can proceed to talk about
and then sign the leasing contract. Once you have the contract on your hands, you gotta read it thoroughly
Yeah, you gotta make sure that you agree with everything the landlord is saying on the contract. Everything he/she is considering.
After signing it, the landlord will tell you when the house is free to go and that's it! You just rent a U-HAUL and you move to the new house
In our case we didn't rent a U-HAUL. Yeah, we thought it would be available, would be there for us at the day that we moved
but actually we should have booked it like, some weeks before so at the day that we decided to move there was no one left
Thank God again we have friends, so our friend Mateus has a truck and Bahia came to help us three.

hello people here you going today today I want to show you the coins are
circulate in India so here I have the coins I have the one two five in ten

yoga

so why do we as gamers care about yoga?
- well I would say it's very good for us
because it helps us to stretch out our muscles
so you know when you're gaming for a really long time
you tend to sit in the same position
and that kind of tenses you up a little bit
and you really need to kind of relax and elongate your spine
you know get some good posture going
also games put your body into like a sympathetic overdrive
so I'm sure you've heard of fight and flight, rest and digest
- yes - so our bodies are not really great at differentiating
the difference between a tiger hunting us down and a tiger hunting us down in a video game
- especially if you're playing VR - especially if you're playing VR
that stuff is tricky
so I our body can't differentiate between the two very well
so what yoga can give us is
it switches your body from being a sympathetic so that's a fight and flight
to your parasympathetic which is like your rest and digest
so it kind of forces your body into relaxing and taking a break
earlier this year I hurt my back at work and it sucked
it sucked a big time and I before this time did not really care about yoga at all
I thought why would I waste my time on this exercise which didn't really seem to do much
when I could be like if I'm gonna go out I'm gonna go for a run and spend all my time on aerobic type exercises
and then all the doctors once I did this were like "you have to do yoga"
It started off subtle at first like "have you tried yoga?"
and then it was just like "no you've got to do yoga"
because basically I wasn't allowed to do anything
I wasn't allowed to sit down and sitting down was like the worst thing for my back
and now when I do yoga I'm allowed to sit down again
basically those small times of the day
where like take a 10 minute break to do the stretches that my physio had recommended
basically just makes my back feel like magic
and I just thought if I'm doing this because of my injury but what was like before my injury
and just yoga just made be become so much more aware of my body and how it was feeling
and I become- now I know like when I'm sitting I understand how I'm feeling better
I just am more in tune with myself
even though it's kind of bad because I know when I'm more likely to be hurt
but I'm just more likely also to know what I need and when I need it
-Yeah it kind of promotes you to become a little bit more aware about how your body is feeling
in like a muscular sense as well as a postural sense
and you just deepens that connection
and the great thing about yoga is it's free
I think there's a lot of companies out there who promote certain products
and you "have to have it" but that's not really true at all
it's a- you know you have its origins in India of like centuries and centuries ago
it was practised by absolutely everyone in the country
and nowadays with the internet you- there's apps there's websites
all that teach you had to do it for free
and the great thing is it's for every fitness level
you can always do it to your pace and you can tailor make it
I think Jaymii has some apps that she's gonna mention - yeah
it's like use- well first of all YouTube is fantastic
there are like so many different YouTube videos you can do for free
so just you can just watch it and do that one
option number two is like there's some apps there's one app that I recently got-
which allows you to even choose which moves you want to make your own playlists
but of course once you know how to do certain moves
that you find useful so and you might not necessarily want to do a new routine
if you have like a small routine that you particularly enjoy doing
you can even just record- like time yourself, how long you want to do each stretch
and record it as a voice memo on your phone
and then just play it and then you know what you're doing
and you don't have to worry about money at all
basically learn the skills and then use them how it works best for you
'cause there's so many different types of yoga
there's like the hot yoga, there's the chanting yoga, there's like intense yoga
- remedial yoga - relaxing yoga
I think- I mean everyone thinks yoga and they think about these people like standing on their heads
and doing all these crazy bends and honestly that's... that's "Instagram yoga"
and that's not real yoga and it's very flashy and it's very fun
and I think great for those people for like getting to that level of strength and flexibility
but I think a little bit more of an everyday sense even if you can't even like touch your toes
like the fact that you're doing something good for your body
is good enough and it's like small tiny incremental changes
that happen within your body each time that you do it that means that you'll be better
just that little bit better next time and don't beat yourself up if you can't do a headstand
I can't do a headstand no I can't balance on one foot
I'm just not there yet and I'm totally fine with that
- my favourite yoga poses are the ones I can do lying down
especially in the morning because like my body feels incredible afterwards
but also I got to lay down
and like remember like one of the moves of yoga is literally laying down
- it's called corpse pose and you lay there and you just breathe
- and oh- and breathing we need to talk about breathing
- yes - breathing is like such a huge part of yoga
and it's something I am terrible at but I want to get better at
so with yoga they get you to focus a lot on deep breathing
so filling up your lungs all the way
and that's really really important because a lot of us have really bad posture
and we like shrink our lungs and we don't actually breathe deeply
but another part of yoga is actually breathing out and holding that breath out
and that's actually really really important for reducing stress and anxiety in the sense that
when we breathe out and hold the breath out
we're increasing the co2 level so the carbon dioxide within our blood
and that actually relaxes the body and it forces you to relax
because that low oxygen state kind of puts you in a weird little trance
it sounds really weird - I didn't know this I'm learning so much
- and it's actually really great for people with asthma as well
it can really help reduce your system's- um symptoms
and a lot of the people where you could like learn a little bit more about it's called Buteyko breathing
we'll put links down the bottom but it's that's the other side of breathing with yoga
as well as the deep breathing which increases your oxygen
but if you're a little bit stressed focusing on the breath out is really important
- when I get anxiety especially at work I stop breathing
it's like the first thing I notice especially if I'm talking to someone
and I'm nervous about my response
or like I don't want them to hear me breathing so I just like stop breathing and hold my breath
and then I just can never catch up so
- it's about the controlled breathing
and then like out and then holding that out for four
and then breathing in - and like breathing as well you breathe with like your abdomen
which is also fantastic for your abdomen
- Yeah because you're having to use those muscles
and it's kind of uncomfortable at first
'cause you're like oh my goodness I haven't used those muscles
I haven't innovated my diaphragm like enough in the past like 27 years
and it kind of freaks out a little bit
but it gets stronger again your body gets used to it and it helps improve your core strength
- and it means when you sit so when you're sitting down to play a game
you're actually like lifting yourself up better and so you're less likely to injure yourself
and just like you be able to sit for longer without feeling discomfort
- you can game for longer
which is always- which is kind of like the whole point of everything we're talking about
- Yeah exactly so you know your neck doesn't feel as sore
your shoulders and arms don't get as sore,
your back your lower back doesn't get us sore
I think we have another episode about ergonomics so when you're sitting and how to sit better
so that's gonna come up
I think it's, you know, very very important
- basically once you- like yoga is just like a fantastic easy small way to be able to understand yourself
and then you'll be able to apply that to like however you're moving and you'll go
oh yeah this is this movement and this is this movement
we haven't talked about towels
so yes you don't need any special equipment it's like completely and utterly free
even down to the fact that you don't even need a yoga mat now
- no you don't need yoga mat you can just use a couple of towels on your floor
that's enough to give you a bit of extra cushion you can even do it on your bed
if you don't have room you don't need any special clothing
just wear some normal loose comfortable clothes
- I yoga my pyjamas
- Yeah - makes me feel good [laughs]
- I yoga in my "home clothes" which are pyjamas
But mats are great too I got this one for really cheap at K-Mart
- oh yeah - so it's like 10 bucks
it's good for when um because I have very pokey like um hips
so if I do anything where I'm on my side it's like a little bit of cushion
So yoga free, it's easy you can do it to your own ability level
it'll help you reconnect with your body
and also help your digestive system as well
because it massages it all nicely
and remember if you try it and it's not for you you can try a different yoga instructor
or different videos or different ways of doing it
and if it's still not for you that's okay - that's okay
[laughs] this whole series is about exploring different ways to benefit your health
and not everything will be for everyone
but um hopefully we find that you get something out of it
