Hi I'm Zach.

And I'm Tori.

And for the next three days,

we're going to attempt

to try to wear

heels.

I feel like heels make your butt look good.

You know I've gone out for a night

in heels and it's torture.

It's a nightmare.

I've done Halloween.

I do some drag shows.

But I can't imagine wearing heels for three days straight.

I really don't wear heels.

I only wear heels on occasion— like a wedding,

you know, bat mitzvah, funeral type of thing.

I'm nervous about falling and really twisting my ankle

because I have no health insurance.

What are you nervous about?

You know there is a little bit of a stigma

to seeing a guy on a train wearing a pair of heels.

Do you want to take a look at the shoes

that I'm going to be wearing for the next three days?

My god. I thought you'd never ask.

Okay, here it is!

These are the shoes

I'm going to be wearing!

What shoes are you planning to wear?

Well, I come empty-handed

because I don't have a pair of heels

that I can wear for three days.

Okay well we need to get this challenge started

and get you a pair of shoes right now.

We need to go.

We need to go.

We need to get there first.

Okay, well what'll we do…

There's no place like home.

There's no place like shoe heaven.

Alright, Birkenstocks are coming off.

Really going to miss those.

Oh boy.

Three days.

A little bit worried about the strap because it's so thin.

So we found something else

that might be a little more wearable,

a little more comfortable,

and give me more support.

Girl, that is a chunky heel.

Oh yeah.

I think these are it.

The strap is much better.

I can already tell this is going to be

much more comfortable.

I missed the train

because I'm walking so slow.

Oh and my train's here.

Missed my train again.

These are just shoes you're not meant to wear

in the daytime.

It's lunchtime and I'm still in my heels.

It feels like it's getting harder and harder

throughout the day to sustain this.

A lot of eyes.

It's hot outside.

Probably the worst time

to choose to take on this challenge.

But um, yeah.

Alright, this is my second day.

And today is the first day that I actually

have to leave the house, in the heels, and

ride the subway in the heels.

This is terrifying.

Oh god.

Feeling a little nervous.

Alright, feeling really self-conscious now.

Oh boy.

I would say I'm getting minimal stares right now.

Maybe it's all in my head.

I don't know.

But who cares, right?

You know what's really hard in heels?

Escalators.

Again, danger.

Danger, danger!

Ah!

I didn't get off.

Alright, walking up these stairs.

It's the second day and

my feet are really starting to hurt.

The only good thing I've found about wearing heels like

you can go from I'm just wearing heels at work to

I'm partying in my heels.

The music's calling me.

I have to go.

I really like wearing heels

especially when it's rainy in the city because I feel like

I'm in "Sex and the City".

You know I'm like a Charlotte with my bowtie

but a Samantha when you get to know me.

Oh!

Hailing a cab!

Alright, it's the third and final day of this heel challenge.

I'm actually feeling a little bit more confident today.

I've had two days to sort of warm up

to walking around in public in these.

I'm feeling great.

I'm feeling empowered.

I feel taller than everyone in the Financial District.

I could run Goldman Sachs in these heels.

I want you to know that.

Bye!

We are at the end of day three.

Whoa!

Was that a challenge!

I mean.

I just don't think your feet were made to look like this.

Heels are kind of like wearing a bathing suit.

At first, you're like, "Eh!"

You get a little tan and you're like, "Oh! Check me out."

I'm happy this three day challenge is over.

I'm really excited to see how Zach's feet turned out.

Anyways, I'm going to sleep.

Ugh.

That was exhausting.

So exhausting.

It's another word for feet.

So how does the final outcome compare to

your initial thoughts of what the outcome would be?

I do think it made you feel confident.

Because when I was wearing them,

I did feel like I should have owned some type

of business or I was a CEO.

You know I felt really important.

I have to say,

I was really nervous and insecure about wearing these.

And I tried to wear them

with a good outfit that went with the shoes.

I tried to make it as subtle as possible.

But truly, there's nothing subtle about these heels.

So I think we were both nervous in the beginning,

but then we realized that you should just

rock and wear whatever you want

and feel confident in whatever decision

that you decide—whether

it's heels, whether it's five hats on your head,

whether it's just no top,

you do you.

—Maybe just do… —Keep your top on.

Keep your top on but wear the heels.

Anyways, guys, this challenge has been so much fun.

Oh my god, I'm so happy I did it with you.

Literally, no one else I want to do it with.

Me either.

STM32 Arduino Tutorial - How to use the STM32F103C8T6 board with the Arduino IDE - Duration: 7:02.

Dear friends welcome to another video!

Today we are going to take a first look at the STM32 Arduino Compatible Board.

This board is powerful and inexpensive.

Let's see what it has to offer!

Hello, guys, I am Nick and welcome to educ8s.tv a channel that is all about DIY electronics

projects with Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP8266 and other popular boards.

Today I am very excited because we are going to test this new board which uses the STM32

chip and we are going to learn how to program it using the Arduino IDE.

As you can see, I have connected one of my favorite displays; the 1.8" Color TFT display

and I have loaded the graphics test program.

From this test, you can tell that the board is fast!

Let's now take a closer look at the board!

I discovered this little board some time ago when cmb80amiga, a long time viewer of the

channel suggested that I should give it a try.

After watching some of his impressive projects with this board on his YouTube channel, I

decided to buy one to try it.

The board costs around 3$, you can find a link to it in the description below.

The board I bought, which is also called the blue pill because of the blue color of the

PCB, features the STM32F103C8T6 chip, which is powerful, ARM processor!

The board is tiny.

It is slightly bigger than the Arduino Nano board.

Apart from the chip itself, on the board, we can find an 8Mhz Crystal and a 32KHz crystal

to drive the internal Real Time Clock.

The board uses 3.3V logic levels, but most of its pins are 5V tolerant.

Let's now take a closer look at the heart of the board the STM32 chip.

The chip is a 32bit ARM processor which is clocked at 72MHz!

The chip does not offer WiFi or Bluetooth, but it offers, 20KB of RAM and 64KB of Flash

memory which is enough to build large projects.

It also provides 37GPIO pins, 10 ADC pins, SPI, I2C, CAN, UART buses and a DMA controller.

These are impressive specs for a chip that costs 3$.

If we compare the specs of the STM32 with the specs of the Arduino Uno, we can see that

this small board outperforms the Arduino Uno in every field.

The frequency at which the STM32 chip operates is 4.5 times higher than the frequency that

the Arduino Uno operates.

So, we expect the STM32 to be at least 4.5 times faster than the Arduino Uno.

To find out if this is the case, I created a simple benchmark.

Both boards must calculate the Pi with the same algorithm for the same number of iterations

of the Algorithm.

I have connected a 1.8" Color TFT display to show the results.

As you can see the STM32 board needed 3.8 seconds to perform this task.

The Arduino Uno, on the other hand, needed 29,1 seconds.

That means the STM32 is 7.6 times faster than the Arduino Uno in this example.

The performance difference is huge!

Let's now see how to upload programs to the board with the Arduino IDE.

First of all, to upload a program to the board, we need a USB to Serial module like this one

which uses the FTDI chip.

We connect Vcc from the module to the 5V pin of the board.

Next, we connect GND to GND.

Now we need to connect the RX pin of the module to pin A9 of the board and the TX pin of the

module to pin A10 of the board.

The last step we have to do is to place this jumper to position one, so the module to enter

the program mode.

We press the RESET button once, and we are ready.

Let's go to the computer now.

In order to use the board with the Arduino IDE, we need to install some packages.

Go to File -> Preferences and enter this URL here and press OK.

Now go to Tools -> Board and open the boards Manager.

Search for STM32F1 and install the package that appears!

The installation procedure will take a few seconds.

After that, all you have to do is to select your board.

Under the Tools Menu again, we choose the Generic STM32F103C board, for the Upload method

we select serial, and lastly, we choose the port that the STM32 board is connected to.

Now we are ready to upload our first program to it!

We open the standard blink sketch.

All we have to do is modify this sketch like this.

The LED on STM32 board is connected to pin PC13 so after this small change we press upload!

A few seconds later the LED starts blinking!

We can reprogram the board if we wish, by pressing the RESET button once more.

When we are finished, we set the jumper back to position 0.

Now we can remove the FTDI module and power the board from the USB input.

The board will start executing the code we just uploaded.

If you power the board and the program is not running, be sure that you have remembered

to switch the jumper back to its original position.

The current that the board draws when running the blink sketch is around 40mA but it can

be reduced if you put the processor to sleep, something I haven't tried yet.

Now that we know how to use this board, we have another great tool in our toolset.

The STM32 board is an extremely powerful board and useful board even though it does not offer

WiFi or Bluetooth.

It can replace the Arduino Nano on many projects that we need more program memory or better

refresh rates on big displays.

Since there is a very active community around this board, we can find libraries for most

of the displays and the sensors we are using.

So if you need a small but powerful board with many IO capabilities, the STM32 board

will probably fit your needs.

Steve Bannon Tried To Get Pro-Trump Mole Hired At Facebook - Duration: 3:50.

Recently it was revealed that Steve Bannon, the former Donald Trump staffer, counselor,

advisor, whatever you want to call him, who recently went back to Breitbart where he came

from before he joined the Trump administration and campaign, it was recently revealed via

leaked emails, that Bannon had floated the idea of trying to put a pro-Trump mole inside

of the Facebook organization.

According to the emails, one staffer for Bannon found a job opening for public policy manager

within Facebook.

Bannon then floated the idea of putting one of his own people, a pro-Trump, pro-Breitbart

person, having them apply for the position and get it, so that then Bannon and the Trump

administration could feed them positive stories, anti-democratic stories, and hopefully get

those somehow distributed via Facebook.

Now, we've learned recently, that Russia bought a bunch of pro-Trump, anti-Democrat, anti-Hillary

ads on Facebook, in an attempt to sway the election, and my response to this Bannon story

is similar to my response to that Russia, buying ads stories.

Americans, we may not be the brightest, but if we're willing to fall for this kind of

fake news propaganda, because we don't want to take the two seconds to look up whether

or not it's true, that says a lot more about us, than it says about the opposition, in

this case Steve Bannon.

Steve Bannon understands, that as a whole Americans, we're not that bright, but more

importantly, we're also pretty damn lazy, and that if he feeds Facebook fake information,

fake news about the Trump administration, those pro-Trump people on Facebook who see

it, are going to eat it up without ever questioning the authenticity or without ever questioning

the source.

That says more about us as a country, than it does about the evil shenanigans of Steve

Bannon.

Yes this is dirty and deceitful, but at the end of the day it's on us again.

We can't continue to fall for this fake news BS that we see on social media.

If you see a loved one or a relative posting this nonsense, call them out on it, but don't

just call them out, send them to a correct source, Snopes it, fact check it, do whatever

you have to do, but stop the flow of misinformation, because it's not the people who are putting

it out that are the problem, it's the people who perpetuate it.

The people who believe it, that's the problem.

If we don't fix that, then none of this matters.

None of it.

We have to work on public education, and I'm not even necessarily talking about at the

school level.

We have to do that, each and every one of us.

Correct people when they're wrong, show them how to find the right answers, you don't always

have to spoon-feed it to them, just show them where to go, help them out.

We can educate one another if we put effort it to it, because if not, stories like this

of Steve Bannon trying to infiltrate Facebook, stories of Russia buying ads on Facebook,

they're going to be a lot more important, the ads and misinformation that these groups

put out, because we, aren't doing enough to stop it.

Tiger 1 Review with Guide - World of Tanks Blitz - Duration: 5:54.

Welcome to a new video.

Today this is my first Guide with a review.

Of course at first the review. From the great Tiger 1.

It has normally 1450 HP.

I have 75 Hp more because i have equipment.

It has 100mm at the front, 82mm at the sides and 82mm at the rear.

Same stats at the turret.

It is 57 tons. 819 PS.

The max. speed is 44 km/h.

Traverse speed is 41.72 deg/sec.

24.30 deg/sec with the turret.

Between avg 165-275 dmg.

10.18 rate of fire. That is pretty good for a Tier VII Heavy.

My reload is 5.9sec with the 8,8cm. The Tier VIII Gun.

Aiming time is 4.4

With AP it has 203mm pen.

APCR/Gold 237mm pen.

HE 44mm pen.

220 avg dmg.

From my experience it made between 200-210 avg dmg.

With Gold it makes a bit less dmg.

With HE it makes of course more dmg. (Just on bad armored tanks)

This is a really short review from the Tiger 1.

I'll show you now how to play with it.

This was a battle on Naval Frontier.

This was a Mastery.

I want to show you how i played it here.

I drove trough the mid.

What i expected from our lights/meds that they drive on the light line.

Below C when you look at the minimap.

My plan was to drive to C and to cap it.

Before the enemies come.

When they will come up there we're gonna defend it.

Me and my mates in the C cap will make a little mistake.

Look on the C cap points.

One guy drives back to early. I thought it's done that's why i back up too.

Now we got C.

I stayed there to put a shot into the T69.

Just show your turret.

Our bulldog stands in the way.

I have to go down to support our T-44.

That's why i rammed him out of the way.

Now i'm driving to him.

Go with the Tiger 1 always at the front. Not at the second or the third.

*not important*

Because i know i'm reloading faster than him i'm staying there.

Fire and immediately drive back. So he got no chance to shoot you.

Always check the minimap. (You should do that in every tank btw).

Someone from the enemy team got B and A.

Look at what i'm doing. I'm sidescraping. So he can't pen me.

He shows his fron to me so i can pen him. He doesn't know i have enough pen to shoot trough.

And again he shows his front to me.

Sidescraped everywhere.

There he managed to pen me. Maybe he loaded gold or he shot trough my tracks.

Now i'm pushing because i know he won't come out again with low HP.

After that i'll drive to B and cap it.

He managed to shoot me again.

No, i don't think he loaded gold because he didn't made much dmg in this shot.

There i hoped that the T-43 will come to me.

Now i'm driving to B.

Look at how i play.

Hi I'm Jackson Bird and this is the video they don't want you to see.

So remember how outraged we all were when we discovered that age-appropriate LGBTQIA+

videos were unavailable in Restricted Mode on YouTube and how they continue to be marked

as not ad-friendly sometimes?

The reason we were all outraged is because young queer, gender nonconforming, and questioning

kids need access to the resources and role models in those videos so they can learn about

themselves and know they're not alone.

Unlike a lot of other cultural groups and identities, most kids grow up without other

queer or trans people in their lives so having somewhere they can learn about who they are

and see themselves reflected is crucial.

And this doesn't just come from YouTube videos.

It can also happen with books.

So when schools exclude LGBTQ+ books from their shelves, they're not only sending

a message that LGBTQ+ students aren't welcome there, they're preventing some kids from

getting the resources that they need.

And they're continuing to remove us from the narrative.

Of history.

Or herstory.

Or Queerstory.

Kids who grow up seeing themselves reflected positively in media grow up with a positive

sense of self and identity.

And that exposure to positive LGBTQ+ culture from a young age also creates future allies.

I remember what it was like to have no idea who or what I was when I was growing up.

To have feelings I didn't have words for.

To think I was all alone.

And I remember how good it felt to find like the one, rare gay book at Barnes and Noble

and how I would hide it inside of other books so no one would see me reading it.

But that sense of shame and the confusion from a lack of resources had lasting effects

on my life.

And nowadays there is so much awesome representation out there so to see people trying to take

that away from kids is SO AGGRAVATING.

Of the top ten most-challenged books last year, HALF were due to LGBTQ+ themes, including

This One Summer, GEORGE, and Two Boys Kissing.

I mean, basically just like my entire book collection has been banned.

But books are banned for more than just LGBTQ+ reasons.

Some books regularly banned by racists include Invisible Man, Beloved, The Color Purple,

Of Mice and Men, Their Eyes Were Watching God... basically any book that features people

of color or was written by a person of color.

Books like The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time and Flowers for Algernon

are ostensibly challenged for things like profane language or sex or drug references,

but like the other books I've mentioned, regardless of why they're challenged, excluding

them from libraries erases a minority group from being represented.

Books are often banned due to sexual content – including straight up sex ed books – and

it's crucial for people, especially kids and teenagers, to have exposure to this information

so they grow to be confident in their body, their sexuality, and their relationship to others.

But a lot of times books are banned due to one or two mentions of something sexual without

a consideration of the value of the book as a whole.

Like Looking For Alaska by John Green.

Or, one of the most banned books of all time, the Diary of Anne Frank.

Because nothing says "inappropriate for teenagers" like a book written by a teenager.

And just so we're clear on a couple of things: when I say a book has been challenged, that

means a complaint has been made about at a school or library asking for a book to be

removed from the shelves.

And overwhelmingly, this is parents asking that a book be removed from a school library.

Now when a book has been banned, that means the challenge was successful and the book

has been removed from the shelves.

Sometimes, books get banned from entire countries.

Like when Green Eggs and Ham was banned from China because of its Marxist undertones.

But usually it just gets banned from one institution.

Or lots of institutions.

And in the case of public schools and public libraries, that is censorship.

Because as the First Amendment here in the United States says, the government can make

no law abridging the freedom of speech.

And I know we're all upset about freedom of speech right now, since our president keeps

trying to infringe on it by doing things like calling for the firing of Jemele Hill or NFL

players or who knows who else by the time this video has gone live?

But people who work for the government, like the president, aren't the only ones beholden

to the first amendment.

Government institutions like public schools and libraries are also bound from abridging

free speech.

Public schools ARE allowed certain exceptions to protect the safety and education of students

– which is pretty much what's being debated anytime a book is challenged – but like

the National Coalition Against Censorship says "schools cannot provide a comprehensive

education... without allowing students to encounter a diversity of ideas."

But that diversity of ideas is kind of exactly what people challenging books don't want

students to read.

Which brings me to another part of the First Amendment, "Congress shall make no law respecting

an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof."

Sooooo many books get challenged on the basis of religious beliefs.

They're cited for calls to ban all of the books I've mentioned above, especially the

LGBTQ+ ones, but also because some of these people think that magic is real and kids are

going to learn about it from children's books like A Wrinkle in Time or The Wizard of Oz

or Strega friggin' Nona or, of course, Harry Potter.

And y'know one reason I might personally be so passionate about banned books is because

when I was a kid, I was treated to regular viewings over the evening news of my favorite

book series being ACTUALLY set on fire by grown up's who thought it was nonfiction.

(groaning)

So what can you do about this?

Well, this week is Banned Books Week so there are a ton of organizations out there celebrating

banned books and promoting ways that you can take action.

I've put links to a bunch of those organizations and their action items down in the description

box.

My favorite way to take action is simply to read.

Do what most people who are challenging books haven't done and get the full context on

a book about why it's being challenged so you can come to your own conclusions about

whether a book is really so dangerous and disruptive that it needs to be censored.

Besides recommending every book I've already mentioned, some other banned books that I

think are important to be reading right now include: The Handmaid's Tale, Fahrenheit

451, 1984, All the King's Men, and Go Tell It On the Mountain
