A Shocking Kindergarten Coverup | China Uncensored - Duration: 12:41.On this episode of China Uncensored,
there are some pretty shocking rumors
about what's happening inside Chinese preschools.
Let's just say,
this episode is not suitable for children.
Welcome back to China Uncensored.
I'm Chris Chappell.
Over the past 40 years,
China has seen stunning economic growth.
And for some people in China's growing middle class,
it can feel like everything is great
and there's absolutely no downside
to living a country where they're allowed to make money
as long as they keep their mouths shut on politics.
I mean, does politics really affect our lives?
So it comes as a shock to many in the middle class
that the same authoritarian regime that's ok with
arresting anyone who speaks out
and savagely torturing Falun Gong practitioners
is also ok with letting horrible things
happento the people they love.
Like their children.
I take you now to the RYB Kindergarten and Daycare
in Beijing—
an expensive school targeting
upper middle class families.
According to the school motto,
it's where children take their
"first step to a colorful life."
Why, look at all the eager parents
flocking to enroll their kids!
Except, that's not why they're there.
They're protesting.
"Police are investigating allegations
of horrific abuse that went on inside,
the youngest victims only three years old.
Parents are accusing teachers and staff at RYB Kindergarten
of sexually abusing their children,
making them stand naked as a punishment,
stabbing them with needles,
or making them swallow suspicious white pills."
Wow.
And when I was in kindergarten,
I complained about nap time.
"After hearing from other parents,
I asked my child,
my child said they take two white pills
after lunch every day.
They go to sleep after taking the pills."
I wish I could say that was the worst of it.
But besides those accusations,
"The most troubling accusation comes from
the mother of a 3-year-old who spoke with Tencent News...
The parent says that her child told her
that kids at the kindergarten were given
regular 'health checkups' by
an 'uncle and grandpa doctor'
in which they were made to stand naked
while one of the doctors was nude as well."
Wow.
That makes Harvey Weinstein seem practically
like a normal...sexual predator.
And even a kindergartener knows that when
"uncle doctor" starts taking off his clothes,
that's not how you play doctor.
According to one allegation,
a teacher threatened a student by saying,
"I can hear whatever you say
and see whatever you do
because I have a very, very, very long telescope
that can reach your home."
I mean, it is kind of believable.
China is a surveillance state after all.
And you know what?
I wish I could say those horrible allegations were it!
But there are also allegations
that the Chinese military was involved.
Which sounds outrageous.
But it struck enough of a nerve
that the Chinese military actually responded.
And they never respond!
"A Chinese military commissar
issued an extraordinary statement
adamantly denying rumors
that People's Liberation Army officers
were implicated in the alleged sexual abuse.
Those who spread the rumors, he warned,
would be pursued for 'legal culpability.'"
Now I wish I could say that was it.
But, no, there's more.
See this Chinese official visiting
an RYB Kindergarten in November 2016?
That's Meng Jianzhu.
He was China's top security chief,
and a powerful member of Jiang Zemin's political faction,
which opposes Xi Jinping.
Meng Jianzhu had praised RYB Education,
and there are rumors he may have even
profited from it somehow.
So there are rumors floating around
that all the negative publicity about RYB
is actually part of a strategic political takedown of Meng Jianzhu,
and that it's tied to high-level CCP power struggles.
But even that's not all of it.
Because authorities have reacted to all of this by—
you guessed it—
telling the media to cover it up.
As if that would make the problem disappear.
Really.
"If you can't see it, it doesn't exist"?
I think someone needs to go back to kindergarten.
But there's a silver lining to all the sharp needles.
At least authorities have arrested two people in the scandal.
Wait...what's that, Shelley?
Oh.
Ok.
Apparently one woman who was arrested
was not some teacher accused of stabbing her students
with needles,
force-feeding them pills,
or making them play doctor.
She was actually detained for
"spreading rumors" about the abuse.
As state-run media The Global Times writes,
"Rumormongers and those that maliciously spread their rumors
must face punishment and be held accountable
according to law."
Now I know what you're thinking.
Spreading rumors doesn't really seem like
the worst part of all this.
Well, here's where it gets even more complicated.
After days of investigation,
the Beijing police released a statement
saying that they found no evidence of sexual abuse
at the kindergarten.
They said they arrested one teacher
who had been pricking kids with needles
when they wouldn't take naps.
Yeah, what kind of horrible teacher thinks that
poking children will sharp objects
would help them sleep?
But police also said the rumors of children being fed pills
and forced to "play doctor"
were fabricated by parents,
who are now willing to apologize.
Sounds like the police are covering up something, right?
But in this case,
they might actually be...correct.
Some of the disturbing accusations,
like the kids being injected with unknown substances,
are commonly seen in Chinese urban legends.
Like how when you were a kid,
people always warned you about someone passing out
apples with razor blades in them during Halloween.
And this wouldn't be the first time
that fear about child abuse in preschools
triggered mass panic.
It even happened in America.
During the 1980s and 90s,
there was a string of highly publicized cases
about daycare child abuse.
It made the national news.
Accusations of sex abuse,
satanic rituals,
even drinking giraffe blood in front of children.
"Authorities now believe that at least
60 young children were victimized,
and that the ultimate number
could well be much greater."
The evidence was based primarily
on interviews with the children.
Several daycare teachers were thrown in prison—
only to be found innocent
and released years later
with a big fat apology
and millions of dollars in compensation
for wrongful imprisonment.
It turns out,
child testimonies are unreliable,
because kids often tell you the answers
they think you want to hear.
I mean, adults do that too, I guess.
But when bad stuff might be happening to your kids,
you freak out.
It's what you do.
Which is why,
when it comes to RYB Education in China,
even a seed of truth can quickly snowball
into mass hysteria.
And some of the accusations are apparently true.
The needle stabbing part, for example.
I mean, there's photos of the needle marks.
And this is not the first scandal the RYB has had.
RYB Education operates 1,800 kindergartens
and day cares across China.
It's worth over 750 million dollars.
It's also listed on the New York Stock Exchange.
And as they say,
"Mo' money, mo' problems...
with rampant child abuse."
"In 2015,
four teachers at an RYB Education kindergarten
in Siping, northeast China,
were charged with using sewing needles
to jab more than 20 children on their heads,
mouths and limbs."
Ok, seriously,
what is it with the sewing needles?
And earlier this year,
at another RYB Education kindergarten,
a teacher was caught on video kicking a child.
So there's already widespread public sentiment
that something might be wrong at RYB Education.
But with some of the more recent accusations,
the evidence is harder to find.
There was video of a toddler telling his parents
that his teachers gave him white pills
to make him sleep.
But that video has been taken offline.
And it was only a child talking to his parents,
not firsthand evidence.
That doesn't mean it's not true.
There's just a lack of evidence.
And the allegations of sexual abuse—
at this point—
are also still just allegations.
Ones that police are now dismissing.
Police say that independent doctors found
no physical evidence of sexual abuse in the kids.
And, according to state-run media,
"The police checked the 113-hour-long
recovered surveillance footage,
and didn't find any evidence
of anyone committing child sexual abuse."
Of course,
I don't exactly trust state-run media.
And neither do a lot of people in China.
And that is exactly the problem.
Under the Communist Party,
authorities have covered up
so many scandals for so long,
and issued so many censorship directives,
that Chinese citizens area little skeptical
when reporting on an issue is suddenly squashed
and any online discussion is heavily censored.
In the environment the CCP has created,
it's almost impossible tell what is true
and what is false.
So it's basically like one of those
"choose your own adventure" novels.
Except it's "choose your own conspiracy."
Do you believe there was sexual abuse?
Turn to page 61.
Do you think the military was involved?
Turn to page 84.
Did this involve high-level power struggles
within the CCP?
Go directly to jail.
The public outcry over all this
is totally understandable,
because there's so little trust
that authorities will expose abuse
even if they find it.
Since the story became public,
the Ministry of Education has vowed
to put an inspector in every kindergarten in Beijing,
plus launch a much larger investigation.
But that's just not very comforting to the parents, who,
understandably, now believe the authorities
are constantly lying to them.
And child abuse does happen in China.
"Since 2010, news media and internet sites
have reported more than 60 such cases
of physical abuse at Chinese kindergartens
and child care facilities."
State-run Xinhua has reported,
"968 cases of sexual abuse against children
were recorded nationwide between 2013 and 2015,
involving at least 1,790 children,
with many remaining unreported."
In 2013,
the LA Times reported that
in just three weeks,
"Nine cases of sexual abuse in Chinese schools
involving more than 30 children
have brought the neglected crime to light."
And while those reports also caused outrage
at the time,
a lot those cases happened to poor people.
But this time,
it's happening to the upper middle class—
people who for a long time
were pretty happy with the system
that let them make money
and live comfortable lives.
And there's a widespread belief
that if anyone gets in trouble with the authorities,
well, it's because they did something wrong.
Just keep your head down,
and trust the system.
But now there are rumors of terrible things
happening to their own children.
Authorities tell them they're investigating,
but the parents think they're covering it up.
And maybe they are—
it's impossible to know.
And who can they turn to now?
This is what the CCP's system
of censorship and control does to society.
The question is,
is this scandal enough to actually affect their rule?
Or will it all blow over next week?
Too bad we can't flip to the end to see.
That would be cheating.
So what do you think?

Bloodborne Cut / Unused Content ►MORE CUT BOSSES AND NPCs! (Part 2) - Duration: 7:49.Hello everyone this is SanadSK and today I am back with part 2 of the unused enemies
and bosses series in Bloodborne.
So the first part was recieved very well by everyone and that encouraged me to work even
harder to try and show you the unused content in the best way possible as soon as possible.
In this episode, we are going to be covering more unused enemies and bosses, but this episode
has alot of things that literaly blew my mind when I found.
So let's get to it but just before that, once again, these videos wouldn't be possible without
the help of id-daemon and luxox18 for their huge help in providing the files and creating
the tools to view the models.
So now that's out of the way, let us get to business.
So the first boss we have is one that I didn't believe it was in the files of Bloodborne
at first which is this guy.
Now in my opinion, this is one of the best looking bosses in the Souls series, and that
might not be even the actual look of the bossfight but let me just explain a couple of stuff
about this particular boss.
So this boss has no name, no skeleton, and no reference in the files for it.
And also it has many missing textures, like when loading the model by default, it looks
like this.
So I took it to myself to try and rebuild the textures as much as I can and I'd say
it looks pretty fantastic right now.
The model is super detailed as you can see, there is a dragon statue on the helmet which
looks super cool and like, its tail is the plume coming out it.
There are arrows which have penetrated its armor, and there is this huge slice in the
armor on his belly which indicates that this thing has taken a very heavy beating from
a giant weapon no less.
And as you can see, it has a huge peg leg which might give us some idea that maybe this
guy was related to Gehrman development-wise in some way early on in the development.
Now this isn't where the stuff ends.
As you can see, he wields a halberd but the halberd has what looks like some sort of war
banner attached to it . Now I didn't pay much attention to it until I saw the model coming
right after this boss, which is this!
Look at how epic does this unused horse look like!
Just look at the amount of details on this this thing, from its flesh and the fur and
the cloth on its back, it just a wonderful looking model.
But it isn't just any random horse, it is more of a prepared for battle horse and then
it hit me, that the golden knight from before maybe was supposed to ride this horse and
be one battle together.
Now I know you are saying: You are crazy Sanadsk, Dark Souls or Bloodborne would never do something
like this.
Well, I thought the exact same thing, but did you know that actually in Dark Souls 1,
the Darkwraiths were supposedly riding horses and there is even concept art from Dark Souls
1 for this!
So it is indeed possible that they wanted to do this concept again, but it was scrapped.
Also what made me think this, is that the cloth on the horse has a big dragon drawn
on it, which gives it a link to our friend clad in dragon armor.
The render you were seeing is something I made to convey what the boss might have looked
like, and it looks amazing!
Just imagine fighting this guy, even if it wasn't meant for him to be on a horse, I'd
say these two unused models are one of the best designed bosses in the Souls Series.
I made a poll which you can vote in by clicking on the small I button in the top-right hand
corner and I want your opinion on what you think, whether you believe that it was supposed
to be one boss, or they are completely seperate.
I really want to see what you guys think about this.
Also, one last thing about the knight model, is that it actually has two more weapons with
it which are an axe and a sword and especially the sword, I am 100-thousand % sure I saw
it somewhere but for the love of me, I can't remember where.
So now that we are done with this one hell of a boss, let us move on to a possible unused
NPC.
So this NPC is named in the files Slug Princess, and no, not the slug princess you are thinking
about.
So this NPC doesn't have much information about it in the game, but there is an old
folklore tale named Jiraiya Gōketsu Monogatari, which translates to The Tale of Jiraiya the
Gallant which talks about a guy named Jiraiya who can summon a giant toad with his lover
Tsunade that can summon a giant slug and they fight against a guy named Orochimaru who can
summon a giant snake.
Yeah Naruto is heavily inspired by it, but back to the actual Slug Princess, her name
is Tsunade and she is a beautiful young maiden who has mastered slug magic, and is able to
transform into a slug or summon a giant slug.
Now alot of Japanese games are heavily inspired by the old folklore of the japanese and Bloodborne
is no exception.
And if you see from the model of the Slug Princess, you can see that she has bandages
on her eyes and her legs are chained, as if imprisoned by someone.
And her body looks like she is half slug half human.
Now the closest link I found to this was with the items related to slugs, which are directly
related to the Great Ones and especially Ebreitas.
So it might have been that this Slug Princess was actually one of the Great Ones and had
some story for her, but sadly there is currently no dialouge or references to her in the game.
Maybe her idea was later improved upon in the DLC with Kos and her child and stuff because
there are alot of "sluggy" stuff in the final part of the DLC.
Next, we have a monster which is linked to the demon I showcased in the previous part,
but this one seems like a lesser variation, and that is exactly what the game calls it:
LesserDemon.
So this one is much thinner than the previous one I showed and it seems like this one was
supposed to be an enemy and not a boss.
Same as before, it has 1 missing head but it is in the files and can be placed in its
rightful place, but the design of the skull itself here is different as it has some kind
of small horn on its nose, and the horns on top also look different.
The axe its wielding looks very interesting as you can see it is somewhat curved and look
pretty cool.
It also has this small fire effect on it, which as I said before, alot of the unused
enemies has this fire effect on them.
And the final unused enemy we have isn't something major, but it's an egg and it is referenced
to in the files as Screamer.
It has an AI in which it runs away and stuff like that, and it does have sound effects
but as I said in the previous video, we still can't properly listen to them.
I honestly don't know what to theorize about this egg, so I'll just leave it up to you
guys.
So I hope you guys enjoyed this video and make sure to share this video and like and
subscribe for even more Bloodborne Unused Content.
There are still many stuff to cover like other unused bosses which are very interesting,
unused armor sets and weapon variations, character dialouges which clear up some lore bits and
are super interesting.
So, I'll be seeing you in the next video.
Bye Bye!

The Sneaky, Underwater Sex Life of the Goby Fish - Duration: 2:13.Male grass gobys may be small, but some of them are masters of manipulation when it comes
to the composition of their ejaculates.
Grass gobys are bottom-feeding fish endemic to coastal waters of the mediterranean basin.
These small fish have an external fertilization system - meaning the sperm isn't deposited
inside the safe and secure space of a female's body.
Females deposit their eggs in small depressions on the sea bottom, which males then fertilize,
directly exposing the sperm to the danger of the open ocean.
But there's more than one way for a male goby to be reproductively successful...
There are two different types of goby males: territorial and sneaker.
The territorial males are large and strong, whereas the sneaker males are small and quick.
The territorial male guards an area where a female lays her eggs, and he fertilizes
them once they have been deposited.
Sneaker males, on the other hand, hide nearby and dart out at the exact moment that the
territorial males are fertilizing, and they deposit some sperm of their own!
Ejaculates of territorial VS sneaker males vary greatly in their composition.
Territorial males create a viscous, abundant spew that is high in substances that help
the sperm to swim faster through the seawater to the eggs.
The sneaker can take advantage of the speed-enhancing compounds by mixing his ejaculate with the
territorial's.
Any eggs that the sneaker male fertilizes will then be protected by the larger, stronger
territorial male.
And by exploiting the benefits of the high-quality ejaculates, the sneaky sneakers save energy.
Because, let's face it - they are much smaller and they don't have any extra energy to
spare!
Take that tough guy!

I BET YOU WILL LIKE THIS ASMR VIDEO! [SUB ENG] 100K special - Duration: 10:50.Hi guys! Thank you thank you thank you for being with me today
Today will be a really special video. To be honest, it won't be a single video, but more videos.
I'm not good at talking so i won't be here and make an emotional speech
i just wanted to say that i'm so grateful to have this channel, to have your support and to all of you.
I hope that i can help you to sleep better and better, to relax or just make you smile.
. All this makes me extremely happy,
especially because ( i hope you notice this) i have a strong passion about making these videos, so i'm very grateful.
To show you my gratitude i have 2 things
. The first is that i made a gift to the channel. This zoom h5.
I'm so happy, i dreamed of it for a long time. I hope that the audio is better.
The second way to thank you is this, This is a framework on how this video will be.
I wrote 100k special and at the end of this video you will find 4 mini videos
that will bring you to 4 different videos, that are the most popular type of videos on my channel
I wanted to do this because i wanted a video that would be enjoyed by all of you
It will be a video of unusual mouth sounds, one of tapping no talking , one of pure inaudible whispering and one of "find your trigger" series
They, in turn, will be divided in more video to dedicate an entire video for a single trigger.
These 4 videos will be one of only trtr, one of ticotico, one of zac and one of point
If you will click on tapping no talkig you will have a taste of different objects
then at the end you will find a video of tapping on tascam, one of tapping on a gel bead mask, one tapping on a lemon, and one of tapping on a perfume.
If you will choose the inaudible, first you will have a pure inaudible without sounds
then one with finger fluttering, one with mic brushig and one with tapping on tascam.
The 4 video is a "find your trigger" video with the mic with the ears
because i wanted to make also a more simple and chit chat video in which i will do some trigger. Than you will have 4 options:
one with eating sounds, one with sound of necklace, one with a sweater and one with a wig on the ears
So this is it
Obv i created a playlist in which you will find all the videos , but i hope you will have fun in searching videos
Also, i wanted to say that for the forst 3-4 days i the videos will be NOT monetized
so you can enjoy the videos without worry about loud ads.
Last thing i want to say is simple but important.
If you have a passion for something, launch your self, don't be afraid to fail.
Don't care about judges, just have a lot of patience, passion and perseverance
Ok i will leave you these 4 options and i will write in the infobox all the structure of this video
I give you a big kiss and i thank you from the bottom of my heart,
comment below if you like this idea, maybe i will use this in a roleplay, thank you

Most Interesting Facts You Didn't Know About Flying! - Duration: 11:20.Here are the most interesting facts you didn't know about flying!
12 - A hole in the window Window or aisle, everyone has one of those
as a seat they want for a long flight.
If you're a window person, you've probably wandered about that little hole that's on
the window.
Like many things on the plane, the size and position of that tiny circle has been carefully
calculated for a specific function.
Airplane windows are composed of three panes of acrylic.
The outer pane, is fully solid and as you probably figured out, is responsible for maintaining
cabin pressure.
The pane with the hole is in the middle, and it's there to protect passengers in case
the outer pane breaks, even with the small hole, technically called the bleed hole.
The bleed hole actually reduces the pressure on the middle pane, so only the outer pane
takes the force of the cabin pressure.
While both the outer and middle panes have the power to resist the pressure from outside
the plane, the brunt of the work falls on the outer window as it's the final barrier.
11 - Lightning All The Time The mere thought of flying is already scary
enough for a lot of people.
How about let's add flying during a thunderstorm?
Flying through a storm is probably one of the most stress-inducing events that a passenger
can endure as there's plenty of turbulence and lightning.
However, lightning actually poses very little danger to an airplane.
In fact, the FAA estimates that every plane currently in service in the United States
gets hit by a lightning bolt at least once a year.
An airplane's outer skin does a great job of letting the electrical charge pass through
and onto the ground without damaging anything on the inside of the plane.
The only residue are tiny burn marks from the entry and exit points.
High winds and booms from thunder are actually more threatening!
So next time your plane actually gets hit by lightning, you can relax, it's just much
scarier than it actually is.
10 - Climate and bumpiness?
There are plenty of people out there that are convinced global warming is happening.
There are also plenty of people out there who think otherwise.
Adding to the debate are studies that show climate change might make the flying experience
worse.
Changes to the jet stream could make flights longer and more turbulent.
Higher temperatures could affect the maximum takeoff weight, meaning more weight restrictions
and flight cancellations.
Increased carbon monoxide in the atmosphere is apparently rerouting jet streams, which
in case you didn't know, are high-altitude wind currents created by the temperature differential
between the North and South Poles and the tropics.
That differential is increasing, making currents stronger and causing a measurable difference
in what's called "clear air" turbulence.
This effect doesn't cancel itself out, and in fact, on the transatlantic route, the costs
could amount to $22 million dollars in additional fuel costs every year!
9 - Ask for cash Airlines love to overbook – statistically,
every flight is going to have at least one or two no-shows, and of course by selling
tickets in excess of what the plane can hold, they ensure they make the maximum they can.
And they're usually right because I mean, what's the point of hiring MBAs without
maximizing profits?
However, as when everybody shows up, unfortunately for the airline, bumping happens.
If you're bumped to a later flight because overbooking, airlines will typically offer
you travel vouchers for your inconvenience.
But guess what?
You can demand cash instead.
The Department of Transportation mandates payments of up to $1,300 depending on how
long you're delayed - as long as it's over an hour, you're entitled to some money.
This, however, has been a very well-kept secret because by offering you another seat the airline
is not actually losing money, whereas if you actually get paid, they do.
8 - Turbulence is just…..turbulence The words 'airplane', 'turbulence'
and 'fear' have a habit of popping up in the same sentence.
But it turns out that airplane turbulence isn't something you need to worry about.
Why?
Because turbulence doesn't represent a threat to your plane.
In fact, there are no examples in recent decades of an airplane crashing because of turbulence.
Conditions might be annoying and uncomfortable, but the chances of the plane crashing is extremely
low.
Turbulence is an aggravating nuisance for everybody, including the crew, but it's
also, for lack of a better term, normal.
From a pilot's perspective it's ordinarily seen as a convenience issue, not a safety
issue.
When a flight changes altitude in search of smoother conditions, this is by and large
in the interest of comfort.
The pilots aren't worried about the wings falling off; they're trying to keep everyone
relaxed and everybody's coffee where it belongs.
7 - Oxygen Masks The safety instructions on most flights include
how to use the oxygen masks that are deployed when the plane experiences a sudden loss in
cabin pressure.
However, one thing that the flight attendants don't tell you is that oxygen masks only
have about 15-minutes worth of oxygen.
That sounds like a really short amount of time, but in reality, it's more than enough
oxygen.
We have to remember, oxygen masks drop when the airplane cabin loses pressure, which also
means the plane is also losing altitude.
A pilot will respond to that situation by moving the plane to an altitude below 10,000
feet, where passengers can simply breathe normally, no extra oxygen required.
That rapid descent usually takes way less than 15 minutes, meaning those oxygen masks
have more than enough air to protect passengers.
6 - Airplane rooms During a 14-hour flight from New York City
to Tokyo, passengers will likely eat several meals, watch some questionable movies, and
get in a few hours of sleep.
But for the flight attendants and pilots who are on duty, 14 hours translates into a very
long work day.
That's why some airplanes are designed for long-haul flights, such as the Boeing 777
and 787 Dreamliners, which are outfitted with tiny bedrooms where the flight crew can catch
a little shut-eye between serving meals and doling out tiny bottles of wine.
If you're not an airline staffer, you'll likely never see the little sleeping compartments
tucked just above the main cabin.
In-flight amenities for flight attendants depend on the particular plane, just as they
do for paying passengers.
The Boeing 777 even has a separate area for pilots, with two beds, two business-class
seats, and, in some airlines, a bathroom area with a sink or lavatory.
Don't worry, both the pilots aren't sleeping at the same time, and the flight attendants
are still at work, and remain on-call in case of emergencies.
Well….theoretically anyways!
5 - Lights on dim When an airplane's cabin lights dim, well-traveled
passengers instinctively know their flight has been cleared for takeoff, or that they're
in the final moments of descent before a plane touches down.
And although the lowering of cabin lights is widely accepted as a safety procedure,
what purpose does it ACTUALLY serve?
Well, they actually dim the lights so that your eyes can get acclimated.
During nighttime takeoffs and landings, you dim the lights so that you have some night
vision going on.
Dimming cabin lights during the day, then, is less necessary, but it does conserve some
engine power as the plane gets ready to take off.
Airplane power aside, it can take our eyes between ten and 30 minutes to fully adjust
to a dark setting.
The primary reason for a change in cabin lights is directly connected to also why crewmembers
ask passengers to raise their shades during landings, which is safety in case of an emergency.
4 - Window shades open Have you ever wondered why airplane passengers
are always asked by cabin crew to raise their blinds along with other things such as having
seats in the upright position and seat belts buckled at the start and end of every flight?
Maybe you guys have figured out that these practices are for the safety of passengers.
Takeoffs and landings are considered to be critical times in aviation, as many complications
can occur during this time.
These instructions are a part of a long process to prepare the cabin for sudden emergencies.
In the case of an emergency, the cabin crew has only 90 seconds to evacuate all passengers
regardless of the size of the aircraft or the number of passengers.
Open shades help the crew to see outside conditions to help them in planning the evacuation.
Open shades also allow passengers to help point out anything that's going on outside!
3 - Only one engine The idea of an engine giving out mid-flight
sounds like it'd be a catastrophe, but every commercial airplane can safely fly with just
one engine.
What'd really be one is if both the engines failed!
Operating with half the engine power can make a plane less fuel-efficient and may reduce
its range, but planes are designed and tested for such situations.
Any plane scheduled on a long-distance route, especially those that fly over oceans or through
uninhabited areas such as the Arctic, must be certified by the Federal Aviation Administration
for Extended-range Twin Operations, which is basically how long a plane can fly with
one engine.
For example, the Boeing Dreamliner can fly for five and a half hours with just one engine.
In fact, most airplanes can fly for a surprisingly long distance with no engine at all, although
this isn't exactly a situation you wanna be in!
A Boeing 747 can glide for two miles for every 1,000 feet they are above the ground, which
is usually more than enough time to get everyone safely to the ground.
2 - Morning Flights vs Evening Flights How many times have you boarded a flight and
maybe have noticed one or two passengers who seem like they're super nervous?
You might pass it off as general stressful or dissatisfaction with the airline, but they
could actually be suffering from fear of flying.
The wide-eyes, clenched fists, profuse sweating, and rocking motions are among the tell tale
signs of someone who's freaked out by flying.
Apparently, if you're nervous about flying, booking a morning flight is your best bet
because that's the time with the least turbulence.
Most thunderstorms are reported in the afternoon and generally clear overnight, meaning there's
less windy weather to contend with.
Cooler temperatures also help as hot air rising from the ground can make a flight bumpier.
The later your flight is, the hotter the ground becomes, and the more the turbulence!
1 - The Smoothest Part of the plane The general flow of air on any airplane is
from front to back.
So if you're really concerned about breathing the freshest possible air or not getting too
hot, sit as close to the front as you can.
Planes are generally warmest in the back.
If safety is your main concern, then bad news for you: there is no safest place to sit.
Both people sitting in the back and in the front have lied in plane crashes.
But if the bumpy ride is what keeps you up at night before your flight, then relax, there
is a portion of the plane where it's the smoothest.
Airplane turbulence can make for a bumpy ride, but seats over the wing and in front of it
will get less of the unsettling wobbliness.
Like a playground see-saw, the center of the plane moves less than the ends.
At the wing, the slight rotation isn't that noticeable.
But at the tail, the up-and-down motion is.
So if you're nervous about flying or just hate turbulence in general, sit towards the
middle of the plane!
Here's what's next!

How to Improve Your English Vocabulary in a Good, Fast Way #AskGabby - Duration: 8:54.Hey naturals, what's up? How are you in this video? I'm going to answer a question
I got from one of my English Learner students in the go natural English fluency Club
Fatima asked me about how to improve her vocabulary in a good fast way
So I'm going to answer her question as I did in our private online community
but I want to share it with you because I think it's really a
really important question that a lot of you can benefit from
So if you're interested in improving your vocabulary then keep watching it
Let's go just before I jump into the lesson here. You might be wondering. What fluency Club is well
You can find out more about it when you join my free email group
Clicking on the card up there or on the link in the description when you join my email group. I'll send you my best free
English lessons videos to your email inbox and invitations for things like
fluency Club when enrollment opens again
So how to build your vocabulary?
Let's begin by talking about why growing your vocabulary is important now in traditional English
classrooms your teacher
Usually will give you a list of vocabulary words that you need to memorize, and you need to know how to spell them
maybe you need to fill in some blanks with these vocabulary words, but I
Don't think just memorizing lists of vocabulary is especially helpful because then it's lacking a step so
When you get into a situation where you want to speak English?
You're not sure how to actually make a sentence with all these words
You know because you just memorized them on their own just a long list of
individual words not joined together
Not making any complete idea and certainly
You don't know how to pronounce them in a group of words
And we know that pronunciation can change depending on the words before and after
Specific vocabulary words, so there are some reasons why I don't recommend. Just memorize long list of vocabulary
One way that I teach and that I also
learn vocabulary and other languages is
this so there's about
Four steps the first step is to find some material that you enjoy in English for me
When I'm learning another language like Portuguese for example
I look for a song that I enjoy in Portuguese
and I listen to that song and then I
Repeat what I hear along with the singer now. I skipped a step there because most of the time
It's pretty difficult to understand lyrics
Just the way you hear them
So I usually look up or search for the lyrics online
And it's usually pretty easy to find the lyrics if it's a popular song. I pull up the lyrics and
I
Read along with the lyrics while I?
listen to the singer so step one is I listen to the song step two is I find the lyrics and
Step two point five is I just listen to the song again while I look at the lyrics step
Three is I read the lyrics or sing the lyrics along with the song while I listen to it
step four then is to turn off the music and
Using the lyrics
to sing the song along with
Reading the words on my own and step five is actually to sing the song without
Listening to the song or without reading the lyrics so this
This formula can work with any material really it could be with the news something short
I really recommend starting with something short
It could be with a poem, but the shorter the better because if you're like me well
You don't have a lot of free time and maybe you have a short attention span
Like I do so that's why I like to use songs or a poem or maybe a short news clip to
Practice building my vocabulary and to practice my pronounce
so
Songs and poems and news clips are really good for your pronunciation
but the point of this video is actually building your vocabulary so
for example in a song
You'd probably find some new words that you haven't learned before this just happened for me in Portuguese
I was using a song called
Ezza down to improve my portuguese and one of the first words in the lyrics is
It's a really hard word for me to say I'm probably gonna say it wrong. It's
Hay gay, which means to?
rebuild and
I'd never heard that word before I had no idea how to say it. I had no idea what it meant so
when I saw that word I
Looked it up. I just googled the word and I found out what it means in English
and I listened to the song over and over and over and listen to how the singer says it until I could say it a
little bit better
So this is a great way to build your vocabulary is to listen to a material that you enjoy
Look for new words that you haven't seen before
Look them up online
using either a dictionary and
or
just search for the word and see what images come up in Google Images or
What sentences come up when you search for the word on Google?
then you found the new words and
Also, of course follow the steps that I said before the five steps where you sing and you read the lyrics or you?
Say them on your own, but you also want to
create
your own
Sentence using this word try even if you're not sure if it's correct try creating your own sentence
Ideally a sentence that you think you might use in the near future so for me
I might try you know for my example. I might try using this word hey get him
please tell me in the comments if I'm saying this correctly which is to rebuild in Portuguese, maybe I would say I
need to
You build my websites for example
Other things you might rebuild could be a house, but I don't really need to rebuild my house
So I'm not going to say that right now
So just think of an example that you might use in a conversation in the near future
write down that sentence and then
repeat the steps that I said before you have the material in front of you, then practice saying it and
Try to get a native speaker or teacher
To say the sentence for you
To check the sentence also and to give you an example of how to pronounce it or to tell you if you're saying the words
correctly and
There you go, then you can practice with that person and then you can practice using
That sentence in your next conversation
And you've started to use at least one new vocabulary word
Possibly you learned many more in the material that you used
I know I learned a few new words and reviewed a few words in that song
So I recommend that you use this formula to improve your vocabulary, but also a huge added benefit
Is it's going to improve your pronunciation and not to mention it's really fun if you enjoy the material you're going to
Enjoy the process of improving your English a lot more than simply memorizing long lists of vocabulary words
So try it out
let me know if you enjoyed this in English lesson leave me a comment and let me know if you have other tips for
Learning new vocabulary words - I would love for you to comment and maybe I could include them in my next video

Now, who exactly is a survivor with a disability or an access or functional need?
Well, that's anybody that has a disability.
It's anybody who has a chronic illness or injury.
It's anybody that doesn't speak English as their primary language or individuals who
are transportation disadvantaged.
So, if that's you dial the number.
And if you're not sure if it's you or not, dial it anyway, cause we're here to help.
That's how we get to a safer, more secure, independent California.
Thank you.

Is Time Management Just Wasting Time - Duration: 10:12.I don't have time. We hear it all the time, don't we? Today at Live On Purpose TV, how
to manage your time better.
Time management.
Nah, it's a myth. Sorry.
End of video.
I'm kiddin' you! Not that it's a myth, that's,
I'm not joking about that, it's not the end of the video because I
think there's some things we can talk about here. You cannot manage time. We say
that all the time but what do we mean? How would you manage it?
Some people think that they can save time. Really? Where would they keep it?
Then you're going to use it later? See, we use phrases that don't even make sense.
Time can't be managed, it can't be stored, it can't be kept, it can't be saved,
it simply keeps moving forward, it's kind of an arbitrary concept anyway.
We've invented this concept to help us understand our experience but you can't
save it, you can't manage it, what can you do with time? I think I'm going to go out on
a limb here and say, the only thing you can really do with time is spend it and
there's a variety of ways to spend it. What we're not going to address here
today is time management. What we are going to address is how we spend time
which comes down to task management and values and priorities. So we'll create
that little context as we begin this discussion. Now I want to propose a
little thought experiment. What if I gave you a million bucks? You like this game
so far? A million dollars, now you can do whatever you want to with this million
dollars but there's a catch. You have to spend it all today. Are you in?
Yeah, sounds like kind of a fun game. Now if you don't spend it, you lose it, you have
to spend it and you have to spend it all today.
Okay, now think about what that would be like for you. Now let's change the game
a little bit. Whatever you don't spend, you lose but don't worry about that
because I'll give you a fresh million tomorrow but the catch is you have to
spend all of that million tomorrow. What you don't spend, you lose but don't worry
about that 'cause on the third day I'd give you a third million but you're
catching on, okay. You have to spend it all today. This seems like a
fantastic kind of a game or a fantasy but really, that's what we're talking
about with time. Think about it, what if I gave you 24 hours but there's a catch
you have to spend it all today. That's kind of how time is, isn't it? If you
don't spend it, you're going to lose it. It's going to pass one way or the other but
don't worry, I'll give you another 24 hours tomorrow.
Do you see how it's exactly the same game that we're talking about with the
money? If it were money, honestly speaking most people would have a hard time
figuring out what to do with a million dollars a day and so the most common
thing that we would do with it is simply waste it. That's what's happening with
time, we all have the same amount of time. In fact, it is a lie, it is a lie to say
that you don't have the time. It's always a lie. You've got 24 hours and it's
renewed every day and there's not a soul on this earth who has any more or less
than that and we get the same allotment every single day until we die and after
that, I don't know, I haven't interviewed a lot of dead people but we've got it
for now. So to say that you don't have time is a lie, it's like, what if
your friend were to approach you and say, "Hey, do you want to go to lunch?"
and you say, "Oh, I would love to but I don't have the time." Right? It's a lie.
Why don't you just tell them the truth? "Oh I value other things more than going
to lunch with you." Well that sounds rude and you'd never say it to someone but
that's the truth, you're spending your time on what you value the most and if
you're not, then probably you want to take a look at how you're spending it so
let's go there for just a minute. Now we tend to put our tasks into
different systems. Here's a little truth that I learned from David Allen who is
the author of the book Getting Things Done. He said you will carry things on
your mind until you take them out of your mind and put them into a system
that you trust. For some people, that system is a to-do list. So you might
think of all the things that you want to accomplish, that you'd like to spend
your time on and you list them out on a to-do list.
Another system, the one that I prefer actually is a calendar. I'll tell you why
in just a minute. These are systems that we can organize the way we spend our
time because we can't manage the time itself, we're going to organize the way
we spend our time in a way that is more consistent with our values. Consider this
for a minute, when the way we spend our time is in sync with or in harmony with
our core values, we have a right to inner peace. Let me say that again.. When the way
that we spend our time is in sync with or in harmony with our core values, we
have a right to inner peace and we won't feel the same level of anxiety and
apprehension and inadequacy that we feel otherwise. One of the teachers and
mentors in my life has been Ron Zeller. Ron is a world-class leadership trainer,
he passed away a few years ago and he taught this concept about time that has
made such a difference for me. He pointed out the obvious in saying the only time
you can do anything is now. I'm not talking right now cause right now you're
viewing this video but now is the time that it is whenever you do anything.
Check your watch next time you're doing something, what time is it? It's now, you
can't do something later, I don't know how you'd even do that, it's now so get
it in your head for a minute that the only time you can do anything is now.
Now let's define it. Now has a start time and an end time
and a very specific task in between. Now has a start time and an end time and a
specific task in between. Let's talk about all three elements, start time. Why
is that important? Because you're going to spend your time one way or another.
Giving it a start time means, beginning at this particular time, I intend to
spend my time on something specific. That's the next step here. That specific
thing is all that you're doing. So right now, if you go to my calendar, I arrange
my tasks, the system that I trust, is one on my calendar where I create and
now, if I were to look at the now for right now, it would say, "filming for Live
On Purpose TV" It has a start time, it has an end time, and that's all I'm doing in
between. So while I'm talking to you right here, I am NOT answering phone
calls, I am NOT doing my podcast, I am NOT speaking for a corporation or an
association, I'm doing this and it's the only way I'm spending my time right now.
End time. Why is that important? This is a psychological exit strategy. If you tell
yourself you're going to go do something and there's no end time to it, it becomes
this fearsome burden that you don't know how you're going to manage and then that
triggers your anxiety, it decreases your efficiency, all kinds of mayhem. You want
to give it an end time because that gives your mind the permission to focus
now after the start time, you're going to focus on that because you know that it's
going to end. That gives you the exit strategy and it's a brilliant way to
organize the way you spend your time. So do it now.
I think Nike kind of picked them up on the do it thing, anyway, do it now.
Now means start time, end time, specific tasks in between. What if you don't complete
the task in the time allotted? Then you will spend another now
to follow up or complete it if it's important to you, now if it's not
important to you, don't be spending your time on it but if it is, create a now, you
carry it in your mind until you put it into a system that you trust. The system
that I trust is my calendar because it's easy to define the now's. One of the
biggest pirates of our time, and remember we compared
time to money earlier, what if you got a million bucks today? Well you do have 24
hours a day and one of the biggest pirates of our time is when we tell
ourselves we'll do it later. I don't know how you would ever do that, forget about
time management for a minute, focus on task management because that's how
you're going to spend your time and do it now, not later, start time, end time,
specific tasks in between, let's abandon the whole do it later thing, that doesn't
work and it never has. Do it now. So maybe the time management has emit but now
we've got the ability to do it now. Share this episode with someone you love.

Living a healthier lifestyle can be achieved in many ways
But the best way to start off is to make smaller changes in your everyday life
These small changes can be little things like eating healthy alternatives incorporating some type of exercise and getting plenty of sleep
Instead of sitting at home stuck in the couch watching TV
Or playing games endlessly throughout the day try incorporating some form of physical activity either being indoors or outdoors
If you're going out to eat
always, try your best to find healthier alternative when you have time try to prepare home-cooked meals so you can control what you intake and
