Today I did kind of a mix of K-pop and Harajuku-like makeup.
Hello, everyone. I'm Mayo Mayo.
I'm a student at a professional hair makeup school.
I also practice on backstage of shows and shooting studios.
My hobby is cosplay and cross like a man
I used to work at a cross-dressing cafe in Akihabara.
I have been doing this for 6 or 7 years, since I was in high school.
My dream is to become a hair makeup artist, working globally.
Today's makeup is a mix of Harajuku-style and K-Pop style.
Hope you enjoy it.
Today's circle lens are "Assist Wig -Cotton Candy".
The color is "Soda Pop -light blue".
It has 3 layers of colors. Gives you a western-like look.
The base is from "KIKO"
This has simmer texture and contains hyaluronic acid.
So it gives bright skin color and keeps the skin moisture.
Next, I used this stick foundation from "24h".
This covers so well and doesn't come off with sweat or water.
Perfect for summer time.
Now it's winter,
But if you want a good coverage for foundation, this is my recommendation.
Also this is made out of natural materials,
so you can take it off with a normal soap,
and it fits easily with your skin so it stays long.
It's a face powder from "HENRI V".
It's "01 translucent".
This powder contains very small glitter.
it makes glossy skin which would reflect with the light, giving it a 3D look.
This is a solid foundation from "ADJUVANT".
I used the same puff that I used for the powder.
This puff adds matte -look on your face.
We, Japanese people, have a flat face so,
We do not have much curb or hight points on the face.
I want to show the center part of the face higher.
So I put this foundation on the center of the face.
Now for contouring,
It's "NYX -Contour Pro Palette".
I used this light brown.
I put it on the forehead,
sides of the ears, where you feel the cheekbones,
and towards the nose.
If you have a small forehead, you don't really need to put it.
If not, add contouring to make your face an up-side-down egg-shape,
which is supposed to be an ideal shape
So try to make it look like it with contouring.
Now I do the eye shadow and highlight the nose line.
I mixed this light brown and gray.
This time I changed the way of doing this.
For the eye shadow, I lift up the eyebrows and put it entirely.
When you lift up the eyebrows, you see where are your eyeballs are.
So put the shadow along this eyeball line. Makes it look natural.
Now the eye liner.
First I draw outlines of the eye lines with this brown eyeliner.
It's an eyeliner from "HENRI V".
It has a very soft touch.
So you don't have to draw strong.
It doesn't hurt your eyes
Today I wanted to make them look like deep-set eyes.
So I wanted these eyelids to look higher and put the lines just above where the contacts are.
My natural lines ends facing upward and it gives a cool impression
To make it more girly, draw lines downward.
It makes the eyes look more girly. Also put some eye shadows on the end of the eye lines.
Next eye shadow is a palette from "MAKEUP OBSESSION".
I used this red-purple-ish color in the center.
Then draw eye lines with this liquid eyeliner.
When you draw them,
I always start from the lowest part.
This time, for the outer edges,
I draw 3 or 4 lines as if there are eye lashes.
I don't have much bottom lashes on the outer sides,
So I draw some here and this matches with the girly eye lines I drew before.
The eye lines on the upper eyelids, I draw them longer and downwards.
Next, let's make "Tears bag (puffy part of lower eyelids)".
I used this eye color from "JILL STUART".
It's liquid type and easy to put.
When you draw on the tears bags, put colors where it pops up when you half close the eyes.
Next step is to put more color on the tear bags.
It's an eye shadow palette from "smashbox".
I use this bright pink for tears bags.
Now I curl the eye lashes.
So here is a tip.
My hair is kind of stiff.
If you have the same hair type, probably your eyelashes are as stiff as your hair.
For stiff type hair, it's better to curl the lashes with one pinch.
If you have soft hair,
It's better to curl them little by little by doing it many times.
Now I add mascara.
It's "LB −Volume Lash Pro".
When you put mascara,
If you use the brush vertically,
you can put a lot.
This time I want the center part of the eyes higher then other parts, so I put more on the center.
Now the eye liner again.
Take a close look and check the balance on your eyes.
Then I draw some eyelashes on the lower eyelids.
The tip of this is
To stable your hand or pinky on your face.
If you don't, it's hard to draw straight.
Keep touching your face and draw with the tips of your fingers.
It's like using chopsticks.
Just go up and down.
This helps to draw nice lashes.
Now I'm contouring the tears bags.
It's "smashbox -MASTER CLASS PALETTE".
I mix these two brown colors.
Now for eyebrows.
It's an eyebrow pencil from "HENRI V".
This time draw in a horizontal way.
Because I wanted a girly-look.
I draw them trying not to make them look sharp.
If I draw them along with natural eyebrow lines, it easily goes up.
So I try not to follow them and keep the lines parallel to your eyelids.
Now I put powder on the eyebrows.
I use this palette from "smashbox".
I mix this brown and pink for the eyebrows.
Let's do the lips.
I use two lipsticks from "Sleek Make UP".
One is matte and the other is metallic type.
Firstly put the matte one on the inner side of the lips.
Then towards outside.
Now the metallic one on the center of the lips.
Lastly, the eye shadow from "MAKEUP OBSESSION", the one I used before,
This color here.
Put some on the lips lightly.
Let's do the cheeks.
I mixed this pink and orange-ish ones from "smashbox -MASTER CLASS PALETTE"
and this matte orange from "MAKEUP OBSESSION".
I wanted a cute look this time.
So I put it from right under the eyes.
After the cheeks,
put the rest of the powder on the entire face line.
This helps the colors to be more natural on your face.
So put some on where the hair grows, on the eyebrows. Just a little.
I put this luminizer on the higher parts of the face.
I had a chance to travel to London.
And I bought this there.
I fell in love with it at first sight.
But I don't know how to pronounce it
If anyone know how , please tell me!
This colors very well. I love the texture.
It's liquid type.
It works perfectly with one drop.
So I will be using this a lot.
Today I use this firstly for the nose line.
To make the nose look higher.
Then later, on this triangle zone of cheek, cheek bone and this T zone.
As the last touch, I put this color mascara.
It's "UPS -double eye color mascara pink & navy".
I use this pink.
I have put black mascara but it's already dry.
So I put this pink on top.
For my hair, I twisted the hair and pinned them.
There are many way of doing this.
What I do is twist the hair and pin the top part twisting towards inside.
If you pin the hair normally, the upper parts come off easily.
So try to pin the root part of the twisted hair to keep it stable.
How did you like it?
Today I did kind of a mix of K-pop and Harajuku-like makeup.
The horizontal eyebrows and simmer texture sink are the K-Pop taste.
And Harajuku taste is
the pop colors I used.
Because the contacts add pretty blue colors,
I chose pink mascara and eyebrows.
Also the pink powder on the face line balance all the colors.
With all the colors, the pop cute Harajuku makeup is done.

Bye bye
