Why I Don't Use Person First Language | #SpinaBifida - Duration: 2:28.
Hey everyone, welcome to #SpinaBifida.
So I don't like using person first language when it comes
to describing my disability.
I prefer Identity First Language.
But if you don't know either of these terms,
I'll describe them.
I also will have a link to my friend Annie's video
in the description where she talks about this
more in depth.
But a quick overview, person first language
puts the person before their disability.
So saying a person with a disability.
Identity first language is the opposite of that.
It's saying I'm a disabled person.
Now obvisouly in the disabled world, we're allowed
to self identify however we want.
When it comes to explaining our disability.
I personally don't like person first language
for me it erases the experiences I have as a disabled person.
When you put me first before my disability
you ignore the things that my disability
does for me, the things that it makes up my personality.
It makes up who I am.
So I prefer Idenitiy first language because
I am a Disabled Person, I'm a Disabled Latina.
I'm a Disabled Woman.
I'm Disabled and that's perfectly a fine thing with me.
Disability in general isn't a negative word for me.
It's a part of who I am, having Spina Bifida is a part of who I am.
It's made me me and I put that first.
Putting me Andrea the person first
doesn't make sense because Andrea the person is Disabled.
Andrea the person can't take away their disability.
Everything I do has to do with my disability.
In terms of accessibility everywhere I go
I need to make sure something is accessible because
Andrea the disabled person
needs accessibility.
So I don't personally like using
person first language.
I have a lot of disabled friends who use person first language.
Who use Identity first language.
And some use both so I think the best bet is just ask.
For my friend that uses both,
I will interchange both but she knows
I only like identity first language
so when she refers to me she says "Andrea is a disabled person".
So that's it, I just wanted to tell you in case you were curious on
how I like to identity as a Disabled person.
And let me know in the comments below what kind
of language you like to use when you talk about your disability.

Hey guys, salut mes amis och hallå gubbar, Maxim here.
I just wanted to show you something I've made which was originally done for my Stream but
I thought that maybe some of you guys would want this as well.
So basically I've done some map overviews or I don't really know what to call it, but
they're up right now on the screen, and I made one for each map from the active duty
along with dust2.
You can use them for whatever you want, video-editing, for your stream, your website etc etc.
They're all recorded in 1080p with the highest video settings in-game.
Inside the folder you will find all the separate maps that I've made, I've also done an endless
loop version in-case you want that, and also a 5 minute timer version.
The timer is something I got from another YouTube video made by startgrid but this is
mostly to give you guys ideas of what you can do.
The timer for example can be useful as an intro for your stream.
Anyway you can download the entire folder down below.
I hope this was useful in any way possible, also if you think anyone you know will find
this useful as well, you can share this video with them.
Oh and if it wasn't obvious, you don't need to credit me.

THIS IS TERRIBLE NEWS FOR ALL THE REST OF US.

YOU HAVE PEOPLE LIKE ANDREA MITCHELL SAYING WE HAVE TO BE
TOUGH.

I AM ABSOLUTELY AGAINST ANY MILITARY INTERVENTION IN SYRIA.

AT THE END OF THE DAY IT WILL MAKE THE SITUATION WORSE, JUST

WHICH PART IS THE CONSPIRACY?
THE PART WHERE CORPORATIONS
WOULD LIKE TO MAKE MORE MONEY?
IF THAT IS A CONSPIRACY IS

IT IS NOT A MATTER OF EVEN WANTING.
THEY HAVE A FIDUCIARY RESPONSIBILITY TO MAKE MORE
MONEY.
IN THEIR CASE THEY DON'T PRODUCE SNEAKERS, HAMBURGERS, TEXTBOOKS.
WHAT THEY PRODUCES BOMBS.
AND AIRCRAFT TO DELIVER THOSE BOMBS AND THE MISSILE SYSTEMS
TO DELIVER THOSE.
SO THEY PROFIT FROM WAR.
THAT IS NOT A CONSPIRACY, THAT IS A FACT.
ABSOLUTE BOTTOM LINE.
YOU JUST SAW TODAY THEY GAINED $5 BILLION.

HAPPENED?
THIS IS HOW IT HAPPENED.
FOR GOD SAKE AND THE MONEY AND POLITICS, IF YOU DON'T THESE
POLITICIANS ARE NEVER GOING TO REPRESENT US AND THEY WILL

A Better Bird Ep 12 The Western Ave Budgie Rescue Caper - Duration: 3:46.
so about an hour ago we get a call do we want to buy a couple of budgies no we
don't buy birds you can give them up to the great Greater Chicago Caged Bird
Club so they mistook me they tried to sell
them to the rescue that didn't go well they called me back and I said are you
in Chicago are they young listen if you're
desperate I'll take them off your hands
in the next scene you'll see the car double-parked on Western and apparently
the cage the budgies were in collapse and they were happy to just be sitting
on top of the cage and so I said you'll have to get the birds out of the car and
bring him into the store which they did and here's a scene from that
they're pretty mellow I will take them
off your hands so no harm will come to them and they are going to become part
of the breakfast club so let's see if we can get them into the travel cage so I
can run them all so they can be with their new brothers here's what I think
is a little girl say hello well The Breakfast Club is in for a shocker and
here we have two little these guys are young I was told by the gentleman who
dropped them off if they had bought them at a pet shop just a couple of months
ago they're pretty tame I'm not gonna let him out I don't want to go chasing
around the apartment right now they said they lay our finger tame so we're going
to introduce them to The Breakfast Club so here we go I'm gonna raise the entry
door into the main cage and clip it so we don't have a guillotine situation and
then I'm gonna open up this door and see if they're interested and leaving the
cage they are go get you home come on buddy let's go they're exploring I hope
we're getting this on video go come on a little yep we got one come on we don't
have names yet we're working on it we'll talk about that later
all right all right they're in we have a bit of a Mexican standoff here you can
see the original breakfast club just they don't know what to do there hovered
and back and the new guys one took over swing ones on a perch they got plenty of
food and water we keep our cages filled and refreshed twice a day
and I gotta go back to work so I'll bring you up to speed on the story later
so just a quickie little shut up on the additions this is the new Breakfast Club

hello welcome back to my channel I hope you're having an amazing day if you're
interested in hearing my thoughts on the Devinah Cosmetics midnight affair matte
collection please keep watching so I recently purchased the midnight affair
matte collection off of Devinah cosmetics website retails for $50 but I had a
coupon code so I spent about thirty seven dollars on them if you're just
here for a quick take should I get them should I not get them I would highly
recommend these shadows if you saw my previous devinah Cosmetics eyeshadow
review you'll note I wasn't really happy with the performance of about half of
the shadows in that bundle but these ones were completely different this
collection comes with ten shades Thisby Darena
this one's called laramie which totally reminds me of the cigarette brand on The
Simpsons does it remind anyone else of that this one is called as me this one
is called Freya this one's called Zayn this one's
patrina here we have Suki this is Eduna and finally we have Runa so far
I've been really enjoying these shades I am wearing these for on my eyes today so
I have Darena which is the yellow shade on the
inner third of my eye on the center of my eye is Suki in the crease I've
blended laramie and Runa I've been really enjoying all of these shades
since I started testing them the only one that I couldn't get the performance
out of that I wanted to was the yellow one Darena other than the yellow they
all perform really really well I'm able to get the exact performance out of them
without using mac fix+ I only used fix+ on the yellow shade
today and I still wasn't able to get the performance out of it that I wanted to
but all the other ones I used with a dry brush and I think that they perform
amazingly the madness of these colors make them very work friendly I can wear
basically any of these shades to work and uncomfortable
I love the pigmentation on these I love the last thing
I am really really satisfied with my purchase from Devinah Cosmetics this time
whereas last time I was kinda like and half them were really amazing so let's
get into some swatches so you can see how awesome they are these are the first
four shades and they are the ones I'm wearing on my eyes today as you can see
the first one Laramie swatches amazing with a finger and with a brush the
second one Darena I really tried to build it up as much as I could it just
doesn't show up for me the way that I want it to I want
something a little bit more pigmented or possibly a little bit more bright I
don't know it's just really difficult to build up so that one is my least
favorite out of this bundle and it just doesn't perform the way the rest of them
do like the quality of the rest of them is amazing and it's totally worth it to
pick up this bundle but this yellow shade is just kind of the runt of the
litter the third shade is Runa and it swatches
really really pretty with the brush I think I could have done a better job on
the finger swatch but there it is and it really performs beautifully with a brush
the fourth one is Suki and it just looks gorgeous one thing that you should
know about these shades is that they do kick up a little bit of powder but
honestly you don't need that much so I would suggest just going in with a
lighter hand and then you won't get so much fallout these next three are
Patrina, Zayn and Esme they all pair so well together I've made more than one
look using all three of these shades and they just go really well together and
then I add like a pop of I don't know like some type of shimmer are you seeing
a pattern here like I cannot more highly recommend this bundle and you should
probably go and get it the final three are my least favorite colors in this
bundle however the performance is still really amazing the first one is your
standard warm tone transition shade Brown the second one is a very strong
orange called Eduna and it just performs really well but I don't think I'm going
to get ton of use out of it final one is a
green color I don't love it with these other mats but I can think of a few
other shades that I'd really like to try pairing it with from other collections
and other palettes that I own to make a really pretty green look which I do like
to do from time to time hello editing Shannon here something
happened to the footage where I tell you my final thoughts on these shades quite
sorry about that but basically it's pretty obvious
I love these they are amazing if you are looking for a set of nine really
incredible matte shadows plus one yellow okay shadow then I would definitely go
out and buy these I really really enjoy them and I know that you will too
