Hi! I'm Sarah.
And I am what one might call "culinarily challenged."
But, what I lack in cooking skills, I make up for in appetite,
and what I like to eat the most is Korean food.
One of my favorite Korean dishes is called "gimbap,"
and it literally translates to "seaweed and cooked rice."
They're essentially sliced rolls that you can take on a trip,
or pack for lunch, or just serve at home, too.
Gimbap is special in my family because, growing up,
my grandma would wake up at five in the morning every Sunday
to make them for my whole family so that we could eat it on the car ride to church.
My grandma has gotten a little bit weaker over the years,
so she doesn't spend as much time in the kitchen anymore,
but she taught my mom how to make her gimbap recipe,
so that is what my mom and I will be making together today.
Hi!
First, my mom prepares the raw ingredients by making sure they're all clean and sliced.
Remember, this is my grandma's recipe,
but you can personalize your gimbap however you'd like.
Today we're using...
Yellow pickled radish, or "danmuji" in Korean.
Cucumbers, fresh or pickled.
My mom pickled these by soaking them in sugar and vinegar.
I personally prefer them pickled just because I think they're more flavorful.
Shredded carrots.
Daikon, which is a really mild-flavored radish,
but adds a lot of texture.
Imitation crab.
Red bell pepper.
And, of course, dried sheets of seaweed or "gim."
My mom always has these condiments on-hand for seasoning cooked ingredients.
Next, my mom stirred up a couple of eggs,
and is cooking them for a few minutes over medium heat.
In the same pan, she drops in some sliced spam,
which I consider to be the key ingredient to this recipe because I love spam.
Then, she throws in the fishcakes and seasons them
with a little sesame oil and sugar.
When it's all done, she uses a paper towel to blot out any excess oils.
And just like the raw ingredients, she makes sure all these are also sliced
into thin, long, strips.
We use short grain sticky rice in gimbap.
My mom mixes the cooked rice with a dash of sesame oil and sesame seeds.
Fun fact: you can also use this as an alternative to glue
for elementary school projects, speaking from personal experience.
Shiny part down,

We start by placing sheets of seaweed onto our bamboo mats.
Evenly spread the rice over about 2/3 of the seaweed.
It helps the roll stick together once you put the rest of the ingredients inside.
Mine came up short the first time.
Now, just place the prepared ingredients.
Leave a bit of uncovered rice on either end.
Then, it's time to roll.
My mom and I roll our bamboo mats, firmly squeezing as we go.
If your gimbap is unrolling like mine was, seal the edge of seaweed with a dab of water.
Oooh.
She just complimented herself.
Rub the roll with a few drops of sesame oil for a little extra flavor.
For me, this is the trickiest part...

With a sharp knife, just slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
Finally, my favorite part! It's time to eat!

dear diary today 19th April 2018 is my birthday
and I found out an extremely ugly and painful truth in the age of technology
if you hide your birthday on Facebook no one will remember it
hi everyone I'm back and I'm filming this footage at 11 a.m. on 19 April
2018 I officially turned 25 today yay and actually what I wrote in my
diary earlier is absolutely true I hid my birthday on Facebook last year
because I thought it would be awesome to have a real birthday, an actual birthday
with my friends and my family in the real world that's the best however this
year, I'm gone from my family, it's not like moving out to another house but I'm
literally 12-hour-flight away from my family and all my friends also. Actually it's a
bit lonely to me but I'm so excited at the same time because I'm having my
birthday in a complete new country, and that is Germany. maybe you haven't
known but I've been dreaming of coming to Germany since I was only 18. isn't
that a dream come true? I think so! yeah I should probably go right into what I
want to talk about today and today video, you know it's about my last year of my 24
yeah what I achieved last year and my plans for my 25 so let's go. the best
most thrilling wonderful achievements last year was that I managed to come to
Germany for my master's degree. well it may seem like nothing or just a little
bit of effort to others but to a Vietnamese like me, it is a big deal well. the
thing is I had to prepare a lot of documents, take a couple of qualification
examinations, and be financially prepared to come here
I started doing that since October 2016 and I first set my foot on the airport
of Frankfurt on 26 September 2017 it was quite a long journey
I still remember I was working my ass off and preparing everything at the same
time because yeah I still had a full-time job at that time. the first
exam was IELTS international English Language Testing system. well because I
had a full-time job so I didn't go to any English centers to study for IELTS, I
was just staying at home and doing it by myself with free documents on the
internet. it was quite hard for me I doubted myself a lot since there was a
whole industry of teaching English and IELTS in Vietnam, like everyone who wants
to get that certificate goes to some English centers, and in such world there
was me staying at home and doing it by myself.
fortunately after like four months of preparation and one sleepy examination
day, I got a certificate with pretty good scores and the first step was done. the
second exam was APS (Akademische Prüfstelle) I think and the thing that I have been
always wondering is that that exam is only for students from Vietnam China and
Mongolia. well it's like an interview with a German professor about my bachelor
degree yeah my bachelor program. like they would look at your transcripts and
ask you some questions about the theories or practical applications of
the subjects that you had in university, in German or English, well in order to
see that if you are eligible to take part in their education. it was hard for
me because I had graduated for one year before that exam and there would be a
good chance that I would ask me questions about the subjects that I had
in the first or the second semester meaning I studied about that five years
prior to that. and one more thing, I studied all the things in Vietnamese so
yeah I had to translate everything into English and learn all again. the
practical subjects like project management banking management are okay
actually to me, but the theories ones like microeconomics macroeconomics and
our specialties principles of Marxism and Leninism, Ho Chi Minh ideology,
tough ones. but eventually I passed that with good
certificate yeah good good certificate and I was so happy about that.
funny story actually on the Lunar New Year holiday 2017, I got a fortune
telling about my future in 2017 like telling me I would come to a new land
and learn a lot of things in September 2017 and yeah, Here I am.
that was pretty impressive and maybe you're interested in that, please comment in the
section down below and I would give you some general ideas about your 2018
that's a kind of a special thing in Vietnam like fortune-telling and all
things. my second gain last year is this Youtube channel. well I started
as no one on YouTube, like trying to upload some piano covers of songs on
YouTube and thanks to one of the videos like it was a video of me about my
piano progress after seven months practicing and it got viral
I still remember like in October 2017 I got 30,000 views for that video, like
it was insane! however simultaneously I moved to Germany
for my master's degree, I started a completely new life, and everything new
came to me, friends, studies I couldn't manage to do anything with my youtube
channel until of this January. I see that my life, my skills and my
experience would be interesting to someone and I just love that feeling
whenever I read your comments, how you guys discuss about what I say it and I
also know that I was wrong about so many things but it's just magnificent
wherever you know I think about the thing that I create something useful and
you know worthwhile. and currently I'm having like 9,199 subscribers it's
just the number that I've never dreamed of like and a lot of you guys show me
how lovely you are and it's just warm-hearted to me and
thank you. however as I dig deeper into the YouTube community I found down some
you know surprises that I have never known that those kinds of things would
even exist ugly truths. it's like how YouTube is full of reup contents, like and
view purchase, clickbait and illegal earnings and stuff. I was quite shocked
when I knew about it and I think if I told you all the things you would be too.
- actually I'm considering uploading a video about that but I'm not sure if a
lot of people would want to know about it because it's kind of a really
sensitive topic and I would get threatened if I do so. anyway I still prefer a cleaner
YouTube community so if you are attracted to that topic please let me
know in the comment section below. I would do a video about that yeah. and one
more I know that a lot of you guys want to set up a YouTube channel but don't
know where to start maybe I could help like not only the general ideas, general
advice but also about SEO skills and experience that I had and yeah again if
you wants to know knowledge please let me know in the comment section down
below. okay speaking of my 24 it was full the first time like I got my first job
as a merchandiser in the fashion company and I got to manage the clothe assembly lines
from beginning till the end and you know I know quite a lot about
technique so just like by looking at the items I would know that which one is
good which one is bad and that's why I'm quite difficult with clothes. I got the
first time to study a subject about kind of psychology called managing people and
I got the final grade of 1.3 for the subject in the German grading
system it was so useful and so great I can't wait to apply that subject into my
real job. I got my first time to speak English as much as I want and learn to
know about another language, German and to be honest as I get more familiar
with German I kind of like it even more than English
I also first time use Reddit too and now it becomes my before sleeping
application normally for memes, but also for political news for science you know
finance personal finance advice and just literally everything trendy in the
world. and while a lot of first-time things but I can't really remember all
now but to sum up and look back my 24 was full of ups and downs sad and happy
moments and I also want to share with you my plans for my 25 can't imagine that
I'm 25 already is it's kind of perfect timing for a marriage to a Vietnamese but
no not me not now. I think I gotta experience more and study even more well
so the first thing is to get the best grades at university because you know
that's the propose that I came here and I don't want to regret it at all. and
second is to speak your and better well of course I will make some German videos
on my youtube channel because it's kinda a good way to practice speaking. thirdly, to
keep up with my youtube channel and I hope that my channel it's not gonna be
full of you know trashy contents that I I don't like but I do it because I want
views yeah I will and only do the contents that I believe they are of
important and useful to the community. those are my big big big targets for my 25
and hopefully I'll meet them all. and now I have a date so I gotta go thank you!

vocabulary. We're talking about conventional mortgages. Like is
everything a mortgage conventional? Is conventional a certain type of mortgage?
Like why do I hear this phrase? Is it important? Do I need to know what it is?

Alright, my friends. Welcome back. Kris Krohn here and today we're talking about
advanced real estate vocabulary. As you get going deeper down the rabbit hole,
you're going to come across terms like conventional mortgage. I'm going to say,
Kris, what's a conventional mortgage like? Is it like an FHA loan or a VA loan
or a USDA loan that is government backed and a conventional loan is not, it
doesn't meet the limits of Freddie and Fannie that they have set but there's no
government involved and usually it means a 20% down payment and the reason why is
to basically skip out on mortgage insurance. Once you've got 20% of a house
paid down, you no longer need to pay mortgage insurance which will low your
payments, generally a couple hundred dollars more a month depending on how
much your insurance is and so the conventional mortgage is probably one of
the most standard investment tools that you're going to use in acquiring a
property. You're not going to really use government products, FHA, VA, those are for
homes that you're buying for who? Those are homes you're buying for yourself.
Conventional mortgage, you can use these mortgages to buy your own properties but
you're often using them in investment lending and what they're done is it's
not secured by the government, it's secured by private banks, it's secured by
other people's money, it's secured by basically non government firms that are
out there writing mortgages and trading paper and doing all those different
things. So conventional mortgage is what you're largely going to be dealing with. I'm
in the game of real estate when I need a mortgage, I'm putting someone's 20% down
generally on the line, they're going to get the mortgage. What kind of mortgage is it?
It's a conventional mortgage. So friends, this is just standard conversation piece
when it comes to the type of investment lending mortgage programs that you're

but in general I was expecting them to play a little more passive and play
around the tanks and actually we got a very aggressive attack in xQc. He was
making plays all over the place on like they were able to stop it more the
moments but no such luck for friends
Xqc on the Reinhardt. That was such a great primal rage it's basically a 1v1 it's xqc
yeah of course I see one is straight I mean I still live in the complex I see
them outside the incident like me too you know like dinners and parties I mean
I went to party with uh what time we did it it was pretty fun
there's still all my friends obviously my my teammates always get full immunity
from everything it's just like it like a philosophy I have or something when
someone's on my team and someone says some stupid thing about them or some
things like an insult or whatever I'll always back them up and since they're my
know they're still for me like my last team which is in my head like my current
team they still get the I still back them up I still support them I think if
I ever speak about like other problems that they that that we had or the the
structural problems or other things that held us back now that have more freedom
to do so like I'm not you know they're not gonna be angry me or cut me from if
I'm if I say it can be sort of good for them to sort of since I have this this
outside voice now like look when we did this it was so bad like how about this I
didn't say it when I was on the team but now I say it and it could open up like
sort of like avenues of thinking for them but other than that I'm glad with
might be with my time with them and obviously Elvises the business so being
on a team that has a sponsor like jack-in-the-box or like some of the
other teams I have a sponsor now the decision of keeping a player or firing
him becomes a little trickier when you have sponsors because you know all the
people have money above and they're like you know you know we're losing money
this dude is affecting what we're doing you know and can be little trickier and
understand the business perspective so I respect it
I'm still you know so upset about it not upset but you know still kind of I
wanted to be in still but it is what it is I'm ready to move on
you
I guess both times it was different but the second time it was hey man they
don't know what they don't know what they're gonna do but things are
happening and then I'm like anxious like okay what's happening like what am I
gonna get and it's like a it's like a wheel of fortune you know like okay I
get four okay okay I get two weeks you know it's like I have no idea what's
coming but I know it's coming right and you never know when and that I was gonna
be on Tuesday but if it has Thursday and then it's on Friday and then I was a
blog in an email it's just you know it's an email it's it's the intent that
that's the question that they're gonna go through in a couple days right in the
officials that they're gonna put out and then at that point you can appeal or not
appeal and the timeframe was pretty short for the second time but I don't
blame them they had other stuff under people to punish so they wanted to go to
it all of it all of it at the at once not to make it like all scattered like
punished punished punished and it would it would I think would would have been
stupid so that's pretty much how it went basically I heard I hear murmurs that
something's happening get an email get punished
it's not a requirement but I feel like it's a big missed opportunity if there
is some spice like not some scripted spice or it's like hey dude one thing
about this guy you know do you dislike him
nothing like that more something like a you know if there's something that's
already in place like some rivalry or whatever you know just this question
about it and and create the spice that can be really cool obviously there would
be missed opportunities if this if those weren't followed up and we're like even
like more shut down anyway but on top of that I think in the planet in the in the
rule book or whatever it was talking about defamation and don't speak about a
certain player or certain or strong team or certain franchise in a negative way
or like animating way right and I feel like this is like so broad I mean this
is pretty obvious but this is so broad but I feel like something something sort
of like banter could be seen as very very like oh is this a good banter this
is this is nice oh he got roasted or at the same time it could be turned the
same thing to be naked it could be turned in such a negative way right as
it can be turned into if people perceive it as like a definite everything
mitigate then you can get punished for it if that makes any sense like I feel
like you want to achieve banter at some point the rules are so strict that
you're gonna get the familiar word so it's not really worth it like you're not
gonna go through with it is there's no point and I feel like that sort of
vigilance creates a very unknown climate like
people don't know like the the limits really so even for me like the Fate and
envy thing that I said it wasn't meant in in in any negative way possible but
it was turned in in a negative way when I received the punishment email and that
really just got me just kind of sad because not only for me just for the
other players what if someone is polarizing as Sinatra says something
that is sort of a bender ish you know like it goes like really
four on the banter and if it's spun in in like a negative way by the community
in the response then oh it's different ori and you know it gets banned and i
think it's like kind of unfortunate you can sort of lose a lot of potential here
and then it sort of like force is like scripted stuff which is I think complete
garbage but yeah it's moving on um I think it comes as no surprise to anyone
that the information that was out there was like outdated some claws got fixed
when when I received the document the first time in at the push limit venue
basically we weren't very happy with it cuz it made no sense really it just felt
like the people that wore no watch lega we're gonna benefit like a lot from the
one one hour before when I were after a rule making no sense at all so me and
other players pushed to get that fixed and yet get other things that made no
sense fixed and they didn't fix it they were responsive to it that was really
cool obviously we had to you know the people
that care were like the streamers so you know me and certain others so we had to
we have to push for them if we didn't it would have you know it would affect the
tumours down the line you know because it would have been set in stone at that
point if that makes any sense so I think that's cool that they responded well to
it as for the other streaming rules I think some of them are you know a little
too strict but I do understand where it's coming from and now from behind
site anyway I can understand the audience responded to trying to grasp at
and the region where trying to get the limitations are trying to trying to
implement so it doesn't hurt that vision in a sense it leaves less space for I
think creativity or sort of a more diverse stuff but at the same time that
doesn't hurt a lot of people it really doesn't that that would only hurt

which makes a lot of sense because it's just so
let's say you have someone like like a ninja or shroud that pulls a huge amount
of viewership right that goes like a huge amount of viewers on his own he
could destroy the entire viewership of the league or the district's momentum
anyway or its growth which is super bad so from my perspective or other other
players perspective if they get like a thousand viewers or like two thousand
doesn't really make sense like they're not gonna hurt the viewership that much
right because it's get like 121-125 K right
but like I said if he did have a shroud or they have a ninja then it would be
disastrous really they would be competing with one dude means it makes
no sense
well I have like a million ideas that I think would all be exciting I think a
big aspect that we're missing is the human aspect where a lot of times you're
gonna see like a like a play or an after whatever but you won't really think the
the player itself reacting it a lot of reason why people want like watching
streams with cameras on is that you see the players the player itself reacting
what's happening to him or what he's doing right I feel like it can be
sometimes like a missed opportunity sometimes just it's nothing to give a
deal just put put its face you know I'm going in you'll punch it you off the map
let's go you know and that can be really exciting to show and sometimes are sort
of miss those the human aspect which is which is really cool
obvious spectating can still be improved that the storytelling I think the
community is sort of on with it and stuff are sort of shaping it up properly
I think the ideas are all very good we're trying to like mimic epics and
stuff I feel like currently the players of universally is walk on stage play
walk out and there's one that does an interview right and in the apex you know
there's like a lot of like pre shows like you know karaokes and trash talk
you know like some so just it's it's so good like cringy that it makes everyone
laugh like everyone likes loves to be part of it and the chat loves it the
Kamiya loves it and you can make it in a profession in a professional manner
well it doesn't break the vision of the league right then it doesn't break their
standard of behavior if they can still be in line it can still be really really
cool and a lot of missed opportunities with the players wait we don't we never
see their personalities or how they are really you know all you see is that that
dude that goes on stage and plays a video game and then goes back to the
dugout and disappears forever and then shows up you know in two days or into
two weeks or two months and otherwise he's been she never shows up again a lot
of you had a person aspect this personality aspect is lost and a lot of
players have a lot of colors to show but have no place to show it and I feel like
they have a lot of room to introduce stuff with players
and skits and funny stuff that included players that could be they could be
really fun there's a lot of opportunities like that
bringing players on desk really brings a a breath of like fresh air something new
that one time and it can always be new because there's so many players right is
like a hundred something always be something you can always reach I mean
someone new and can talk about his perspective well we lost that because
this happened or whatever so you have to wait till the video comes out like in a
couple of weeks or whatever a lot of bachelors are now are pretty in a in a
sad state because they're never be played and they're like you know like an
old toy in a box and they're just waiting there collecting dust right and
it could be a good way to use them and there's a lot of options like that like
it's just one of them you know
so I'm not as salty as feeling like if the rules change I would be back in ever
that's to me that's I I won't do that if
if for some reason they reverted the decision that they took on my previous
band and I wasn't saying as a as such a big liability and I did get an offer
from a team or multiple teams then I would consider depending on a few of you
not criterias but a few factors you know how many I'm enjoying streaming how did
I enjoy playing am i able to fully commit into screaming if I'm starter and
there's a lot of things to think about I love competing I love being on stage I
love meeting the people I love saying you know the entrances and and the
failures the success the team meetings the the emotion I love all three all of

When it comes to raising children, most parents just want their kids to be happy and healthy.
It is our job as moms and dads to keep our little ones safe and prepare them for the
world the best we can.
Sometimes though, things don't always work out as planned.
For one St. Louis mom, her nightmare became a reality, when her 2-year-old daughter was
suddenly forced into isolation with practically no contact whatsoever with the outside world.
Little Vivian Keith was suddenly diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia.
Not only was she in a fight for her life, but due to her chemotherapy she was also forced
to stay in isolation.
Her only form of communication with the outside world was through her hospital window.
Two-and-a-half-year-old Vivian would spend hours looking out the window, and one group
of men in particular quickly caught her eye.
A group of constructions workers working below completely mesmerized the little girl, and
it didn't take long for them to notice her back.
Each day, the toddler would sit by the window in her hospital room and wave to the men hard
at work below.
It didn't take long for mom to realize the significance of this routine.
This ritual was a sort of therapy for the secluded toddler, and this sliver of contact
was all she needed to feel like part of the outside world.
Mom Ginger Keith told USA Today:
"Every morning we woke up and waved to them.
And we had to wave until somebody waved back."
Travis Barnes and Greg Combs were part of the crew working on the hospital at the time
of the little girl's stay.
While they waved at many of the kids staying at the Barnes-Jewish and St. Louis Children's
Hospital, there was one in particular that stood out to them the most.
Rain or shine, two-year-old Vivian was always perched at the window to greet them.
Ironworker Travis Barnes told USA Today:
"We got up about 3 floors and we could see the kids waving in the windows."
One day in particular had been tough for the brave little girl, and mom and daughter were
both at their wits ends.
As if by divine intervention, and sign popped up right outside their window.
Written on it?
A message especially for her.
Apparently, Vivian had touched their hearts deeply.
So much so in fact, that they decided to do something special for the sweet toddler.
Their gesture caught mom completely by surprise, so she quickly grabbed her camera to capture
the unforgettable moment.
Luckily, this wasn't the end of their stories.
A meeting was planned shortly after, and the little girl got to see the kind men she had
befriended from her lonely hospital window.
The men were just as struck by Vivan.
Travis Barnes told USA Today:
"It touches you.
It sets you back for a minute.
You realize how good your own life is."

FROM "ROSE" TO "TWICE UPON A TIME" - Doctor Who - Across the Whoniverse - Duration: 9:40.
Such a long journey from Rose to Twice Upon A Time,
from the first NewWho episode to the current last.
On one side, 2005: year of the creation of YouTube,
the publishing of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince,
the release of the best Star Wars' prelogy film
and Doctor Who's comeback
alongside Christopher Eccleston, mad and intriguing in his leather jacket,
Billie Piper introducing Rose Tyler,
a fearless and stubborn British girl who looks for more than what she has,
and the return of the Nestene Consciousness,
an evil being met before during the Classic era.
Then 2017: year of Portugal's first victory at the Eurovision Song Contest,
fidget spinners
and the release of the French "comedy" catastrophes "Bad Buzz" and "A Bras Ouverts".
It was also the debuts of the first female Doctor on December 25,
at the end of "Twice Upon A Time",
marking Peter Capaldi's grand finale,
showing his character as radiant in death as he was in his most glorious times,
alongside David Bradley, fitting perfectly as William Hartnell's First Doctor,
last moving tribute to a Doctor and his faithful companions
in a sweet, melancholic but also optimistic Christmas tale.

Recently were released the first NewWho novelisations.
As you could guess from the title and the introduction:
I read "Rose" and "Twice Upon A Time" novelisations.
So, how are they?
From "ROSE" to "TWICE UPON A TIME"
I'm talking about them simultaneously
because I believe we can link them.
Don't be scared, the spoilers will be put later in the video, in a spoiler zone.
Let's start with "Twice Upon A Time"
which is quite what you can imagine when you hear the term "novelisation":
faithful, even in the dialogues.
When you read "Twice Upon A Time", you can see "Twice Upon A Time".
It's quite a factual adaptation in its way to present the plots.
Maybe I saw it this way as I watched the episode a lot recently,
but every scene, except some new ones,
are projected with care and enjoyable writing on the paper.
"Twice Upon A Time" works for every audience.
It is a good novelisation for but adults and children.
The vocabulary is accessible and the book is quite pleasant to read.
The author, Paul Cornell, follows the original script with respect and meticulousness,
offering us a book to devour in a few hours,
a candy snack to enjoy while remembering all the episode details,
completed with various new informations to see some elements differently
or even to fill things considered by some as "plotholes".
I liked this precision, but still didn't appreciate of the addings.
Is it because I am a killjoy fan who can't stand modifications?
I believe not. My argument: "Rose."
"Rose" is the antithesis of "Twice Upon A Time".
"Rose" doesn't care about the respect due to the original episode.
"Rose" isn't here to praise it, but to be its own self.
"Rose" is Russell T Davies after years of thinking about his characters,
his own scenario and his views of the world.
"Rose" makes dirty jokes.
"Rose" talks about subjects we didn't ask it to cover.
"Rose" isn't the episode we knew anymore
and "Rose" is wonderful.
A complete rediscovering of an episode
I never really loved, I never thought as rich
and which showed me a new face of its personality.
Is it because I'm a fan rejoicing from meticulous fans' tears,
conscious "Rose" will annoy them?
Also no. It's an inbetween.
Sometimes, modifications are satisfying, sometimes they aren't.
The one I disliked in "Twice Upon A Time" must have rejoiced others,
and some might be irritated by "Rose" scalpel's cuts.
Even I am not entirely satisfied by "Rose"'s modifications,
just like I am not entirely satisfied by "Twice Upon A Time"'s.
So what are these modifications?
Let's enter the spoiler zone.
If you want to keep you safe from them,
please go to the indicated timecode.
I would be unfortunate if I spoiled you the interesting bits.
So let's start with "Twice Upon A Time",
which counts less changements than "Rose".
First of all, let me point out something I enjoyed:
the narrator's point of vue.
It's really clever to alternate different internal point of vues,
especially at the beginning of the story.
An ingenious choice in an episode with few but important characters
which plays itself with the characters points of vue.
Now the modifications. Three bothered me.
The first one, and I'm aware it is because I don't appreciate this character's storylines,
are the multiple references to River Song,
reminding several times she is his wife
and she would have done this or that.
Except the fact I really don't picture the Doctor, especially the Twelfth,
thinking that much about what one of his wives would have say in such a situation,
I also don't see the point.
"Twice Upon A Time" isn't about River,
otherwise she would have appeared among the companions at the end
or would have figure out how to pay him a last tribute.
But it wasn't the case.
So why including her so much?
Is it a Doctor Who novelisation or a Columbo one?
(Columbo) "When I listen to the game on the radio and my wife talks to me."
"I can't help it. I have to follow the game, even if what she says is important."
"All my sympathy to your wife."
The next two are linked, so let's now talk about Bill and Nardole's ending re-writting.
One of the strength of series 10's finale is the mystery around them.
Will Nardole succeed to protect the Mondasians
or will the Cybermen kill him?
Is Bill truly a fuel pond now?
Few things are assured, we float in incertinity and,
even if I wasn't quite pleased with their endings, especially Nardole's,
I like the "what if?" vibe of it.
But the novelisation left me even more unpleased
by detailing these ignorance impregnated details.
Bill came back on Earth with Heather after many trips
and they choose to become humans again to grow old together.
Nardole had a full-filled life and several wives.
So that's nice, good for them if they had a good life,
but do we always need happy ending to be satisfied?
Just like we don't always need scatterbrained or incomplete plots.
To justify everything isn't always necessary.
Mystery, fantasy, to let the reader's imagination expresses itself
are sometimes just as important as a solid and coherent story.
On the other hand, Rose completes rich parts of the story we didn't think about.
We stop on surprising details, like the prologue about Bernie Wilson,
the shop worker Rose can't find at the beginning of the episode.
Seriously, who ever thought about this forgettable character while watching "Rose"?
Nevertheless, we are hooked by Bernie's skulduggery,
hating this character we never cared about before.
When we think about it, "Rose" modifications are mainly about characters and their development.
Clive and his family are deeply explored.
Maybe too deeply.
I don't really understand what Russell T Davies has in mind
when Caroline, Clive's wife we never heard about since,
promises she will avenge her family by confronting the Doctor.
Why such a statement?
Does he teases the return of the character or his as writer?
Or a new book?
Or is it just to tease nitpicker fans like me?
But what I like the most is how Mickey is treated.
Russell T Davies said before Mickey was supposed to be an ass in this episode,
but here we realise how much his point of vue changed.
He is less pathetic, more touching.
It includes elements which will be developped later in the show, like his family.
I loved the adding of the Bad Wolf band,
Mickey and Rose's friends.
They make you suddenly realise:
all the Doctor's companions, do they have any friend?
Do you know Martha's friends? Clara's?
Did you ever wonder how Rory spends his Saturday nights with his mates?
Why? Because who cares?
Obviously, we can't meet everyone. What a mess it would be.
But this is where the "Rose" novelisation takes its strength:
To lean on the little things that make a world alive.
To describe London, to talk about the boy in the London Eye
during the Nestene Consciousness' broadcast,
to discover Rose's awful ex,
to represent naturally trans and homosexual characters, etc.
It feels real. We believe it.
These alien troubles take place in our real world.
"Twice Upon A Time" goes to extraordinary and alien places.
Even Antarctica feels strange. So does the battlefield.
"Rose" shows a solid, realistic and identifiable universe.
How ironic the most faithful to its origin is the most sureel, and so on.
So, on a personal point of view, I prefered "Rose"
which I found more deep.
I can't stop myself thinking Paul Cornell had to stick more to the material created by another writer
than Russell T Davies, who was free to manipulate his own script.
But which one do I advise you to read?
Well… Let's say both.
Put aside your prejudices about what you like the most between rigour and immoderation.
Each of them might surprise you
and it is quite pleasant to compare the style and committed positions.
But if you must chose only one, ask yourself:
what are you looking for?
A touch of nostalgia? A new look?
I hope I had helped you to find which one of these two books will suit you.
Both aren't perfect, but they have way more qualities.
Books made to please the fans' hearts.

IT�S CELEBRATION DAY!
We usually only celebrate the big things and overlook the seemingly small victories that
we accomplish on a daily basis.
For today and well, maybe from this day forward celebrate everything with a whoop, gratitude,
a smile, a treat, whatever you do, please stop and embrace the moment of accomplishment.
It may be as simple as pairing up your socks after washing the laundry or even completing
your tasks before the end of the day
. The point is � we take so much for granted for example; Your car starting up right away.
What a challenge when it doesn�t start correct?
Celebrate it all!

START TAKING NOTICE OF THE AREAS OF YOUR BODY THAT ARE SLUGGISH AND NEED TLC.
The body is always an extension of what is going on emotionally with us.
Louise Hay has written about this in her book � �You Can Heal Your Life�.
Instead of ignoring your body�s aches and pains, listen to them and identify the emotion
and or belief system associated with that body part and do the work.
An example of this is � if you have an earache, ask of yourself what is it that you are not
wanting to hear or are you not listening to what others are trying to communicate to you?
Tune in to your body today, pay attention to what it is telling you loud and clear and
then get to work.

How To Hook Up a Fifth-wheel Camper to Hitch - Duration: 3:58.
Hi everybody, I'm Julie and this is Chuck.
Today we are going to talk to you about how to hook up your fifth-wheel camper to your
tow vehicle.
As you're hooking up your fifth-wheel camper, whether you're coming from your house or from
a campsite, you're going to load all your gear into it and make sure everything is secured,
and stabilized, most campers come with TV's, and the doors and whatnot.
You want to make sure they are all tied in and secure.
Then the very first thing we are going to do, is we are going to take our slide outs
and make sure our slide outs are closed.
After the slide outs are closed, the next step is to raise our rear jacks.
Then you have an auto reconnect, which is what I am on here.
What this does is it will raise the rear jacks and it will set the front jacks back to the
level it was at then I disconnected the tow vehicle from it, and this will automatically
raise my rear jacks.
Leave your power connected while you're doing this, because it saves your battery life in
the actual camper.
The very next thing we are going to do is we are going to prep the truck to be able
to hitch up to this.
Make sure you drop your tail gate first.
Now he's going to get in the truck and he's going to back it up, and align it to the campers
hitch.
Before we hook up, we want to prep our hitch for connection.
So we are going to pull the pin here, you notice theres some play in this and you want
that.
Then we've got to pull this out, to open up our coupler.
Now he's going to backup, and align to the kingpin fifth-wheel and then stop once he
get it in there and we'll have to raise the tailgate.
You can get it lined up pretty quickly and easily.
Make sure my height is right, and I am actually a little high on this fifth-wheel for connection.
So I am going to lower those front jacks just a little bit more.
Next thing I am going to do is I am going to go ahead and hookup my break cable and
light cable, so that I have trailer breaks before I connect.
Apply my break controller in the truck for the trailer breaks only, to hold that trailer
in place while I'm backing in.
Make sure you still have that play in it.
That means you're connected right, it's locked in and you're good.
You can take you're emergency break switch and put it around your cable and put the pin
in for added safety.
But you don't have to.
It could just lay right around this.
As long as it's just something that will snap this out and lock the breaks if you were to
ever come uncoupled.
Now we are going to raise our front jacks.
Setting fully on the hitch, and we have about and inch off the ground.
I put it in drive and I apply my trailer breaks only.
And then I just give a little gas to see if I can tug it.
If I can't tug that trailer, I know I am connected.
Auto-retract everything.
I am getting ready to go on a trip, so I started my refrigerator two days ago.
I am going to disconnect my power line and stow it.
My refrigerator is set up to auto, switch over to propane.
So I am going to check that.
You want to make sure that when you hook up, that both break lights are working.
Turn lights, you want to make sure that your stairs are put up where they need to be.
Its very easy to flip this one up.
Pick up on the handle a little bit and push it over.
Make sure that you've locked your door.

How to Make Star Lords Sony Walkman with Zonbi - Duration: 5:34.

Welcome to the Cosplay Apprentice where I Empower you to Forge your Favorite Fandoms!
For the last 3 yrs I have been teaching Cosplay techniques online and at live events, helping
people make their dreams a reality with easy to follow tutorials, and simple diy templates.
I'm Skyler Ostler and in today's Apprenticeship I'll be showing YOU how to make Star Lord's
Sony Walkman.

So you want to know how to make Star Lord's Sony Walkman but you are unsure where to begin
or if you even have the skills to do it yourself.
Maybe you've thought about buying it, but everything you've found is either super
expensive, or doesn't have the "spot-on" look you are hoping for.
Well, if that's you then you've come to the right place, let's jump in and I'll
show you how using a pattern or template you can forge your fandom in 5 easy steps without
being a professional artist or breaking the bank.
Ready, Set...
F.O.R.G.E!
Step 1: Find Your Framework Begin by finding a great template from someone
that you trust and have seen the final product to make sure it produces the end result you
are going for!!
For this tutorial I will be using a template I created and have available on my website
that includes both a version that fits your phone inside and the slightly smaller screen
accurate scale template but there are lots of great template makers out there!
Templates are awesome because it saves you tons of time in trying to get all the proportions
and complicated artistic design elements all figured out but still gives you that sense
of accomplishment because you are the one who made it, and the end product is generally
guaranteed to look great!
Step 2: Organize Alright, so with your framework selected now
it's time to jump into the build and start organizing.
Generally templates like this one will print to scale on 8.5x11 pages making it super easy
print out at home.
For bigger items you may need to tape a couple pieces of the template pages together but
once you have that done you are ready to cut the pieces
This is where the real organizing begins!
Good templates should be clearly labeled with some sort of sequential system that tells
you the order of use.
With this one, the pieces are alphabetical so I am laying them all out in order of use
on the table.
Trace all the pieces onto your material, in this case I am using Sintra, and make sure
to transfer the same numbers, letters, and registration marks on the template pieces
over to your traced pieces as well.
After you have finished tracing you will cut out all the pieces and once again organize
them according to your template.
Step 3: Revisit Now that you are super organized now we need
to to review the template instructions and revisit any of the details to individual pieces
that may need to be made before assembly.
In this instance we need to make sure to drill any holes, cut any undercuts, and etch any
etched lines while it's flat and easy to do.
Then, on to the next step!
Step 4: Glue/Assemble Alrighty Peeps, it's time to get our glue
on!
Depending on what type of glue you are using make sure to wear the proper recommended safety
gear for the product.
Go through in the order the template has set up and assemble the pieces together, for this
one start with The Main Body Piece "A".
Glue the Ribbed piece "B" into place using super glue and create a couple screw heads
using some Polly Plastics.
While we are at it let's jump over to Right Side Piece "C", were going to create some
Legit sliding controls on this thang!
On each "D" piece, we are going to create and attach a slider button piece "E" with
Polly Plastics making sure they will be able to slide past one another.
Next, using a rotary tool or other device sand down ever so slightly a channel on the
back side of "C" that both "D" pieces can run along.
Then being very careful not to get any glue in the channel glue Piece "C" Into place on
the "F" piece with some of that good ole super glue!
You can add a nice little power center pin on piece "F" using Polly Plastics magic as
well as the buttons G, H, I, and J. I recommend either roughing up the area the buttons will
attach to or even better drilling a couple small holes in the area they will attach so
that the Polly Plastics has something to grip to and stay secure.
Finish off the right side piece by attaching the microphone grate, piece "K" into place
on the "F" piece using Super Glue.
Next head on over to your "L" piece and let's make sure we get the Top button piece "M"
secured in place.
Now that we have all of our sides built up lets attach them together.
On the "A" Piece heat up and bend along the dotted lines.
Heat and Bend dotted lines on piece "F" as well.
Next, the Tape Deck Door Piece "N" heat and bend along the undercuts on this piece as
well.
Lastly, do the same thing to the "P" piece.
Glue the top piece "L" to the top of the "A" piece and the bottom "O" piece to bottom of
the "A" piece.
The "P" piece will wrap around the whole Right side of the "A" piece and get glued on there.
Lastly, the "F" piece will glue in along the side of the "P" piece finishing off the main
body assembly.
The last thing you need to do is to attach, the "N" piece tape deck door using either
some small hinges from your local hardware store or by making some out of sintra yourself.
To strengthen up some of your glued connections you can reinforce them from the inside using
hot glue or Polly Plastics.
And sand down or trim off any odd edges and smooth things out
Only one step left!!!
Step 5: Embelish
Whoops, you won't be getting any embellishment details from me, if you want to know what
happens next and see the finished product you are going to have to ask my friend ZonZon
Zonbi over on her channel and she will walk you through how to finish this thing off with
all the details and a sweet paint job!

Wall Street Bankers Have Made $2.5 BILLION From Trump's Tax Scam - Duration: 4:35.
According to a new analysis by The Wall Street Journal, the top Wall Street banks in the
United States in the first three months of this year have collected a combined $2.5 billion
from the Donald Trump Republican Party GOP tax scam.
$2.5 billion for just a couple banks, 100% from the Republican tax scam.
Those banks are Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, Citigroup, and Wells Fargo.
All four of them together sharing $2.5 billion in tax breaks from the Republican Party, but
don't worry, it's not just the Republicans who are helping out the big banks.
Right now there is currently a deregulation bill making its way through the House and
Senate that has plenty of Democratic support that is going to only further increase the
profits of those major banks, and make it all the more likely that they're going to
get involved in risky behavior that's going to lead us to a brand new economic crash at
some point in the very near future.
Also, according to the report from The Wall Street Journal, workers aren't getting a damn
thing.
Only 13% of American workers have gotten any kind of raise, bonus, or other incentive since
these Republican tax cuts were put in place, and most of those are the people who've reported
getting that one-time bonus from their employer.
When you're talking about just four banks that have made $2.5 billion between the four
of them, those thousand-dollar bonuses to maybe 100 workers, they start to look like
crumbs, don't they?
Just like Nancy Pelosi told us, because in reality, that is crumbs.
If your employer gets $750 million in tax cuts in just three months but you get a thousand
dollars before taxes once, wouldn't that be a crumb off of what these other folks are
getting?
The American public is not going to get these tax cuts.
We're not going to get the money from it.
We never do.
We never have.
History has shown us that, and anyone who believed it would happen is an absolute idiot
who needs to go back and study the history of trickle-down economics.
Everybody was warned, and that's probably why a majority of the American public still
thinks these tax cuts were a bad idea, but nonetheless on tax day this week, you had
Donald Trump out there, you had Paul Ryan out there both on Twitter telling us that
American workers across the country were getting raises.
They were doing so much better.
They were seeing so much more money in every single paycheck of theirs.
There was no truth to that statement.
However, and this is how the con works, the people who see those tweets, who support Ryan
or Trump, they believe it.
They understand that they can look at their paycheck and not see an increase, but they
assume, because the president is saying it, that there must be plenty of other people
who are getting the raise, so good for them.
I'm going to be happy for them.
Yeah, I didn't get it, but obviously, according to Trump, my neighbor did, never once bothering
to check with that person and say, "Hey, did you get a raise or a bonus, just curious?"
No, they didn't.
Neither did your other neighbor on the other side, or the person that lives behind you,
or the family down the street, or the people in your workplace, because it's not going
to happen.
That was never the goal of these tax cuts.
The goal of the tax cuts was to give as much money as possible, 1.5 trillion to big banks,
to corporate CEOS, and to the already wealthy elite.
It was a subsidy for people who are already rich.
The poor, the needy, the middle class, the working class, the people who go out there
every day and make this country actually run properly, we don't get a thing from this because
the Republican Party doesn't care
about us.

What's in the Photo and Video Editing Setup for 2018 - Duration: 7:56.
Hello right, come with me. As you may know I've been moving house recently
it's been hard work it's affected the channel and I was ill this week so
there's no video last week....it's just been a bit difficult but now, but now it's all
coming together and the new office is set up I've got a few new bits to show
you as well so let's get the camera set up on the tripod and we'll see how
things look right let's go.
How's that looking? Is it okay?
I can't decide if I need the blind up or the blind down. Blind up..... Blind down I
think I'm gonna blind up today it's a nice sunny day so I can also adjust the
strip lights behind me to a different color. Got red there, nice little blue hue, green
Philips hue system pretty cool.
Right I think we're ready so let's go!!
A really important part of a nice photo and video editing setup is to have a
nice space to do it in and I'm not really talking about size or anything
like that but just a place where you can go you can concentrate and get your work
done I've had it where it's just been a
computer in the corner of a room at the last place I had a full-blown home
studio now that I'm here I've got this office which is a bit smaller but the
kids needed a bit of extra space so it's a compromise that I've made but it's
still a nice space, it's peaceful and it just allows me to get on with my work
and really be creative and productive so that's the first thing I'm also got this
really quite nice new desk that I've invested in just to really enhance that
and get everything I need into the setup as I've mentioned a few times before on
top of all of this I'm doing I was also running a part-time job just
to keep a little bit of security for the family and things but about three weeks
ago I quit that job and I'm now full-time at
this what-whatever this is photographer filmmaker youtuber not quite sure I'm
gonna be doing a lot of different things on and off
channel moving forward but they are all going to include photo and video
creation and therefore editing so I wanted to get the setup just right and
I've invested a bit of money in to doing that and the first thing is this
brand-new iMac Pro it's an absolute beast of a machine
it's the iMac Pro with 10 cores and it's just going to be the center of
everything I do it's gonna be the workhorse it's gonna be the powerhouse and
it's just gonna drive everything I'm doing moving forward it's also frighteningly
expensive but I just think it's gonna be the right thing to do it's gonna make me
productive I don't need to worry about Lightroom and Premiere Pro slowing down
like it used to on my laptop and to be fair I recently sold my old iMac from
2009 for 500 pounds after nine years of using that machine if the economy of
this one proves to be anything like that then I will definitely get my money's
worth and it will be worthwhile..... it will definitely be a worthwhile investment
I then also have the second monitor hooked up
that is the viewsonic VP2785 4K it's a monitor that's being created
specially for photographers it has 99% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space
and it also comes from the factory calibrated I'm going to now be using this as my
main monitor for editing photos and it also now something I didn't realize you
do is it's going to act as the main window for my video editing to see what is
actually going on in the main timeline so it's really nice you can see how that
works there and it's just gonna again just make me bit more productive and
just make things a bit more easy and seamless the iMac itself has one
terabyte of built-in storage that's on an SSD it's very very fast but obviously
one terabyte is not really going to be big enough for storing all my photos and
video files so for that which I mentioned in the week I've got the Drobo
5d 3 that connects via Thunderbolt 3 I think it is and it's fast it's big it's
got 18 terabytes of storage so that will keep me going at least for the next
couple of years and I can add in extra hard drives as
that storage requirement comes up in the future next thing since my livelihood
now depends completely on this setup I have invested in a battery backup system
with the move I had a couple of times when the power tripped out and the
computer and the Drobo died and when I turned it back on on one occasion the
Drobo just wasn't working thankfully I managed to get it going
again but having that fail and losing files temporarily and having to restore
things from backups takes time I don't want that so I've now invested in this
battery backup system if the power now dies
everything's plugged in to that and it will keep everything going for about an
hour or so until the power comes back on and I can get everything saved and shut
down the computer safely so I don't risk losing any files if I'm out when that
happens the Mac has a built-in management system that will shut
everything down as well so it's a really nice thing to have and it's just gonna
keep me going and keep everything safe so I don't lose out when things go wrong
next up we have the printer here this is the canon pro 10s it's a really nice
printer I've had it for a little while now all the prints that I sell are
printed using that machine I'm going to be making a video about printing coming
up pretty soon so we'll talk about that a bit more then. So as you know as you're
sitting down you're editing videos you're editing photos it takes time and
it can get tiring sitting at the screen so you need a break from the screen
every now and again and for that I've got a little bit of entertainment I have
the guitar
I also have this external sound box that's connected to the computer that
lets me plug in speakers and the all-important headphones for those late
night editing sessions I can still listen to music and edit videos without
disturbing the family. Post-processing wise on the computer I'm using Adobe
Lightroom for my photo editing I very rarely go into Photoshop these days now
and again maybe and then for the video I'm using Adobe Premiere Pro. I really
love the Adobe system it keeps everything seamless across all your
devices and just keeps productivity and creativity right at the front and just
keeps everything flowing really really nicely if you haven't got a dhobi
Lightroom and Photoshop and things or you have not tried it before I'll put a
link down below for you to get a free trial and I'll put links to all the gear
that I've got down in the description below so you can check it out at your
leisure as well please do leave a comment down

HOH/DEAF PET PEEVES SIM COM RANT (CC) - Duration: 13:56.
Hey guys what's up? How are you? I'm good! Today's topic is what? Pet peeves. I'm
gonna focus on hard-of-hearing pet peeves because I'm not completely deaf
so I can't really speak for deaf people but I am very hard of hearing so I
wanted to you know describe a little bit about my annoyances. I have 10 for you
today and if you like this video then let me know and I'll make more because I
have a lot of annoyances some I think you could apply to like hearing people
too but some are specifically for hard of hearing and deaf people. Number one
never mind or I'll tell you later no you're not gonna tell me later
sometimes wouldn't people do that I feel you know left out and it really makes me
feel hard of hearing or deaf. Number 2 mumbling or Blalalalala. If I tell you I'm hard of
hearing why would you mumble I don't understand
speak clearly don't speak more loud don't
A-NUN-CIATE- YOUR MOUTH TO MAKE IT MOVE LIKE THIS
that's just
ridiculous. If I tell you I'm hard of hearing just
be clearly it's easy and simple. Number three if I tell you I'm hard of hearing
don't tell me you have a grandpa or an grandma
that's also hard of hearing no it's not the same thing I lost my hearing at
around seven six years old so I grew up you know hearted hearing I have
experienced childhood as a hard of hearing person I've had a lot more
of a different time than your your grandma or your grandpa who just
recently became deaf and says what what what all the time.
Also it kind of triggers me because back when I was in elementary school the kids
would bully me and call me or label me grandpa or grandma and it was just awful!
I just like internally cringe because it takes me back to elementary school. It's awful!
Please don't mention your grandma. Number four I'm hard of hearing. -What? I'm hard
of hearing -I was joking. Funny! I have never heard that one
before. No it's not funny please don't make that
joke and if you have maybe you know mention it and say I'm sorry I was an
idiot. Number five if I tell you I'm hard of
hearing or if someone tells you they're deaf don't cover your mouth. Why would
you do that? You don't trust me when I tell you I'm hard of hearing. Why would I
mention that if it wasn't true and why would you cover your mouth do you want
to test a total stranger to see if they are lying about being deaf or
hard-of-hearing? That's just strange! Why would you cover your mouth when talking
to a deaf or hard-of-hearing person are you an asshole?
Number six sometimes when I tell people I'm hard of hearing they'll tell me "Oh
I'm so sorry but you can speak so that's good right I mean you're better than
them." What do you mean I mean first of all it's my choice if I speak or not
Sometimes I feel like speaking because I want to have a voice sometimes I don't
feel like speaking because a lot of times because I have a good clear voice
people don't really believe me when I tell them I'm hard of hearing. Kind of
like a lose-lose situation but when people do tell me that type of thing I
make it a point to defend deaf people who don't speak I tell them it's my
choice some deaf people can speak but choose not to because it's a point and
just because I speak doesn't mean that deaf people that don't speak are less
than me. Number seven people forgetting that I'm
hard of hearing. True business I tell people I'm hard of hearing
and this goes back to when I said people forgetting or not believing believing me
when I tell them I'm hard of hearing because of my voice I lost my hearing my
hearing at around seven or six so I was already speaking I already have that
muscle memory from when I learned phonics and how to speak growing up. So I
have a bit of a advantage but when I tell people I'm hard of hearing
somehow they always forget. My family too I told a cousin that I was hard of
hearing this was back when I was like cleaning deaf because I thought if I
told people that I was deaf and not hard of hearing they would understand that I
need certain things like you need to like face me speak directly to me don't
turn around and walk away like that type of thing but because I use my voice that
doesn't always happen. I told my cousin that I was hard of hearing or deaf or
whatever and she asked my sister "why does Jackie always say that she's deaf
she's not deaf she speaks she's fine she can hear fine" and then later at night I
took off my hearing aids and I was just walking around and my sister was like" no
she's hard of hearing I know what type of sound she can hear and you need to
like believe her when she says she's hard of hearing" Anyway I had my hearing
aids off and she was calling my name to like prove that I was actually hard of
hearing or deaf or whatever and then finally she saw that like she was like
saying my name from the other room and I couldn't hear them. If someone tells you
they're hard of hearing or deaf just believe them and just you know
accommodate them when they tell you they need something. Number eight sometimes
I'll be talking about deaf people or I'll be signing or I'll be telling my
sister about something deaf related and strangers or people in the group or near
us will start like laughing or I don't know just like making weird faces I
guess because I can speak and they think I'm not deaf but one time I was
explaining about Nyle. Nyle was in America's Next Top Model at the time and
then I mentioned him and I was like oh my god I'm so proud of him he did
amazing blah blah blah blah and then my friend's boyfriend he was in the room
and he's just like I was like going on and on about Nyle and he suddenly just
like started laughing in the middle of my conversation! Why because we were
talking about a deaf person and he thought it was weird or funny or random
for some reason anyway I thought that was just like rude and sometimes I get
those types of looks all the time so it's common. Number 9 Whispering
I hate it or going like this and talking inside my ear because I'll tell people
that I'm hard of hearing and they think doing that and talking inside my ear
will help by the way it doesn't help I use hearing aids so if you're like
talking like this and then I can't see your lips there's like no point. If someone
tells you they're hard-of-hearing don't go like this it won't help promise you! Also
if someone like tries to whisper inside my ear I will like immediately back away
and be like just write it down just write it down that's it it's simple you
have a phone on you right now just write it down or type it out whatever. Number
ten and the last one! I'm not trusting me. I have an opinion I'm hard of hearing
I grew up hard of hearing I also have a degree in deaf education and like
basically deaf studies so I know what I'm talking about when I'm explaining
something or telling someone about a statistic. One time I was working inside
of a store and I was like collecting things for someone like that was my type
of job like I would like get like food and things from a store and sometimes I
was just like turn off my hearing aids because like there was so many people
inside the store and they're all like crowding around and blah blah blah and it's just
more easier to focus on my job anyway I was like um using my cart and then
someone started talking to me and then I didn't understand them and so I just
like gestured a little bit and then they said "WHAT ARE YOU DEAF?"
and then they walked right past me and they left and then later I understood I
was like oh she said "what are you deaf?" and
I was like a might even accept this and then walk on and not support myself or
advocate for myself or am I gonna go and follow them and tell them yeah I am deaf
so what now so I left my cart and then I walked her out and I told her "yeah I'm
deaf" you know how do you feel now and then she told me this woman it was like
a whole thing that happened this woman she told me well she didn't tell me she
was yelling she told me that her sister was deaf and that deaf people can all
read lips if you're deaf right now or hard-of-hearing and you're watching me
you know the feeling that I have inside. I was so mad I was so mad I told her are
you kidding me I am deaf I'm telling you right now you can only read about like
30% of words on the lips so no your theory about lip-reading it's like not
accurate because she told me that I understood what she was saying and that
I could lip-read and I was just ignoring her which is not true at all she was
just like an ignorant stupid person and I am so proud of myself that I actually
said something because I told my boss and he understood completely and all my
like um co-workers they understood - oh my god people like that they're crazy
and if she actually had a deaf sister then shame on the deaf person for
not educating that woman but I doubt it you know! Anyway that's all for my list

Oneplus 5T vs Xiaomi Mi 6 Camera Comparison [Greek with Eng Subs] - Duration: 9:34.
Hello guys! I am Vagelis Minas and this is the camera comparison video between Xiaomi Mi6 and Oneplus 5T!
Lets start!
Lets test the autofocus of both devices
Both of the devices perform equal good
As far as image stabilization is concerned, oneplus 5t as we know has digital stabilization
while mi6 has four-axis optical stabilizer which I can see it from the monitors of the devices
It is also noted that mi6 has more intense colors
while oneplus are a bit closer to reality
The realilty is somewhere in the middle
Indeed, colors appear more natural in oneplus 5t.
At least on the devices screens.
I do not know what exactly you are watching. You are the ones that judge.
Let's try the image stabilization.
You got an idea guys.
As you can see the dynamic range at oneplus is much better.
The clouds look much cleaner.
While in mi6 not so.
That's all with the video.
Let's check some photos.
As you can see the colors in mi6 are more natural
However, the slightly saturated colors in the oneplus look more pleasing to the eye
In the 2X zoom, it seems that mi6 is superior as its telephoto lens captures more details.
For exactly the same reason the bokeh effect is more impressive on mi6.
What really bothered me is the front camera.
Since I was looking at the photos from the devices screens I was convinced of the excellence of oneplus
which was not verified on my pc monitor.
On the other hand in the slow motion video the excellence of oneplus is clear.
I think it's time to test our devices in low light conditions.
I think that matters most to you. Under good lighting conditions, all devices perform well.
The issue is what they do in low light conditions.
Right now I can not judge from the devices screens.
This is something you have to do.
Let's check auto focus in the dark.
I think all both devices are doing well in this area.
I have the feeling that the image is more yellowed in the oneplus relative to mi6.
As for the noise levels I can not be sure.
From the devices screens I have the impression that oneplus has more noise.
But I could be wrong.
Let's check the selfie camera.
As I can see
I think video on oneplus is superior
but I can not be too sure.
Again the pisture is more yellowed at oneplus relative to mi6.
But probably
mi6 has less noise now that I can see it better.
You will tell me in the video comments
as I can not judge from the monitors of the devices.
That's all for the selfie cameras. Let's go and see some samples of photos in low light conditions.
In low lighting conditions, what I noticed is that the colors in mi6 appear slightly rinsed but closer to reality
and on the other on oneplus more yellowish but with less noise and more impressive result,
as far my own tastes.
In selfie the picture speaks on its own.
Summing up mi6 has the superiority of 2x zoom, bokeh effect, more natural colors,
while for low light video the superiority of mi6 is evident with lower noise levels, better clarity and more natural colors,
while the lack of optical image stabilizer in the oneplus 5t is clear, mainly in quick moves.
Pretty much the same is also true for the front camera
plus mi6 has a wider lens as a result it fits more people into a photo.
On the other hand, oneplus has better dynamic range, really good image stabilization in good lighting conditions
nicer colors in eyes, better slow motion video, and better low-light performance.
