[♪INTRO]
Sharks bigger than a city bus.
Snakes twice as long as anyone alive has ever seen.
Go to a natural history museum, and it's populated with giants so huge, everything
alive today seems small by comparison.
Unless, of course, you're a blue whale.
Those hold the title of being the largest animal to ever exist.
Still, whales aside, what made it possible for certain species to grow so large in the
past, when their modern equivalents are so modest?
What changed between then and now, and, more importantly, why can't I hug a sloth the
size of an elephant?
Well, there's no "one size fits all" reason for ancient animals to have been bigger.
Instead, evolution works with what it's got -- and it's had different conditions
to work with throughout history.
Here are seven of the biggest versions of today's animals -- and how they got to be giants.
Long before giant land vertebrates, arthropods had their chance to reach enormous sizes.
They ruled during the Carboniferous and Permian periods, or from about 360 to 251 million
years ago.
And if you aren't a fan of bugs, you'll be happy you weren't around back then.
One of these Permian arthropods was Meganeuropsis permiana, likely the largest insect to ever
be capable of flight.
Although it technically belonged to a group known as griffinflies, it closely resembled
a dragonfly, and it had a wingspan up to 75 centimeters.
That's larger than some hawks, and more than ten times that of a modern dragonfly.
Meganeuropsis probably lived the same way dragonflies do today, scooping prey out of
the air at the water's edge -- although it was likely a lot less agile since it was
so huge.
What many scientists think made this insect so large is a commodity that was probably
far more common in the Permian: oxygen.
Back in the Carboniferous, the amount of oxygen in the atmosphere skyrocketed thanks to massive
plant growth.
It went from around 20% -- which is close to what it is today -- to at least 30%, and
stayed high well into the Permian.
That really helped out these critters.
See, insects rely on tubes called tracheae to allow diffusion of oxygen into their bodies.
And this process is limited by the insect's size.
If it gets too large, a healthy amount of oxygen won't be able to make it all the
way down the tracheae.
But if there's more oxygen available, it can diffuse further.
And since there was more oxygen in the Permian, it, according to one popular hypothesis, allowed
Meganeuropsis to grow much bigger than modern insects.
Of course, like a lot of things in natural history, it's still not totally settled.
Another idea states that so much oxygen might have actually been poisonous to Meganeuropsis' larvae.
So they could have quickly grown to large sizes to decrease their surface area to volume ratio.
That would have allowed their bodies to more easily handle all that extra oxygen.
Flash forward a few million years, and Cretaceous North America was a playground for giant dinosaurs.
But between 83 and 72 million years ago, before the evolution of T. rex, the largest predator
around may have actually been… an early alligator.
Deinosuchus, whose name appropriately means "terrible crocodile", was a type of crocodile
that's a cousin of modern alligators.
Its fossil remains are too fragmentary for us to be sure exactly how big it got, but
estimates hover around eight to ten meters or more.
That's almost twice as long as a pickup truck.
Compare that to today's American alligator, which usually hovers around three to four meters.
Like modern alligators, this creature probably used its massive jaws to ambush prey from
beneath the water.
But unlike modern alligators, which reach more or less full size within ten years or
so, Deinosuchus kept growing up to the age of thirty-five.
We know that from counting growth rings in the bony plates in its skin, almost like counting
tree rings.
Without more complete remains, we can't be totally sure why it kept growing for so long.
But scientists think it could have been to compete with dinosaurs or even to eat them.
After all, teeth marks in dinosaur bones -- including a duck-billed hadrosaur and a smallish type
of tyrannosaur -- are proof of confrontations with Deinosuchus.
Just because it bit dinosaurs, though, doesn't mean it hunted them regularly.
Fossilized poop, officially known as coprolites, provides better evidence of what something ate.
And Deinosuchus coprolites contain bits of shell from large turtles.
So that could be another reason for it to grow to such sizes -- in order to crunch through
those thick shells.
Deinosuchus likely required a large hunting area, so they probably tended to have smaller
populations than some other animals.
And ultimately, that could be one reason why they were vulnerable to extinction.
Besides having enormous alligator-like animals, the Cretaceous also featured giant sea turtles
that put their modern cousins to shame.
Archelon lived about 74 million years ago, and was more than 4 meters from nose to tail.
Meanwhile, a modern leatherback turtle -- today's largest sea turtle -- is usually closer to
2 meters.
Like leatherbacks, Archelon also had a much thinner shell than other turtles, and it was
supported by a relatively light framework of bone.
This may have been to help it maintain buoyancy despite its huge size.
Right now, scientists know very little about Archelon.
Like, it could've been so large to make it hard for predators -- like mosasaurs -- to
eat it, but we aren't sure.
More fossil remains might help, though, since we haven't dug up many of them in recent
decades.
We're also still putting together the pieces about Archelon's diet, but one idea says
that it was too large to chase after quickly-swimming prey.
So it might've just hung out and snacked on whatever was around.
We do know it had a ferociously powerful bite, though, but it may have still favored soft
prey like squid or some plants.
But one thing's for sure: I really wouldn't want to mess with one.
This list wouldn't be complete without mentioning Megalodon, the largest shark that ever lived.
It was alive during the Miocene and Pliocene epochs, or from 15.9 to just 2.6 million years
ago -- and no, Discovery Channel, they aren't somehow still alive.
Megalodon was once thought to be so closely related to the modern great white shark that
it was placed in the same genus.
Most scientists no longer think that should be the case, but its exact taxonomic placement
is extremely unclear.
It doesn't help that Megalodon is mostly just known from teeth and a vertebra here
and there.
Shark skeletons are made of cartilage, which doesn't fossilize as well as bone, though
it still can.
Still, we do know that it was probably about 18 meters in length -- three times the length
of a modern great white.
It was so big, it could -- and did -- eat whales.
Specializing in big prey is a good reason to grow to big sizes.
But like any good predatory shark, Megalodon was an opportunist that probably ate whatever
it could sink its teeth into -- like fish, squid, and turtles.
Usually, the abundance and diversity of large prey is cited as the reason this shark grew
so big.
But recently, another explanation has been proposed for Megalodon's fast-swimming,
predatory, super-giant lifestyle: It could have been sort of warm-blooded.
Some fish, including great white sharks, have evolved a way to conserve body heat.
Specialized blood vessels warm certain parts of the body, like the brain and eyes, by running
blood vessels carrying hot blood past colder ones -- a bit like a radiator.
It's called regional endothermy.
If Megalodon was closely related to white sharks, it might make sense for it to have
this ability as well.
Warm-blooded creatures are generally more active than cold-blooded ones.
So endothermy may have aided Megalodon in pursuing its huge prey, and given it a competitive
edge in an ocean full of giants.
The Paleocene epoch, which happened right after the extinction of the dinosaurs 66 million
years ago, was a bit lacking in large vertebrates.
But despite the lack of huge dinosaurs running around, it did have a snake at least thirteen
meters long.
It was called Titanoboa, and was from Paleocene Colombia.
Green anacondas, the largest modern snake by body weight, also hail from South America.
But they only reach 6 meters in length on average.
Meanwhile, Titanoboa, even according to more conservative estimates, would have been double
that length.
They make anacondas look cute and tiny by comparison.
So what does a thirteen to fifteen meter snake eat?
Anything it wants to.
If it lived like a modern anaconda, as researchers believe, it probably wasn't picky.
It's been found alongside fossils of turtles, crocodilians, and lungfish, and its discoverers
believe these crocodiles may have been its favorite meal.
Yeah.
A snake that eats crocodiles.
Besides being enormous, Titanoboa's huge size also has been interpreted as a clue about
the climate of Paleocene South America.
See, snakes are poikilothermic, meaning their body temperatures fluctuates with the temperature
of their environment.
And the maximum body size of poikilothermic vertebrates is known to be limited by temperature.
Based on its size, researchers think the jungles Titanoboa lived in must have been a toasty
annual average temperature of at least 27° Celsius -- definitely warmer than today.
Which means the Paleocene hothouse probably made monster snakes possible.
Before we leave South America, there's another meat-eating giant we should mention: the largest
flightless bird.
In most places, following the extinction of the dinosaurs, mammals evolved to be top predators.
But in South America, for whatever reason, most mammals were vegetarians.
That means, 60 million years ago, there was an open slot for a big predator at the top
of the food chain.
And it was filled by terror birds.
These animals only went extinct around 2.5 million years ago, and had time to evolve
a variety of forms -- at least 17 species.
Some were long-legged, swift runners.
Others were more stocky, and built like ambush predators.
All of them had the hooked beak that's a signature of modern predatory birds, and the
biggest were easily taller than a modern ostrich, at perhaps 3 meters.
For South American prey animals, it's like the dinosaurs never left.
Terror birds are popularly shown dining on horses, although it's worth mentioning that
horses were smaller for most of their history.
And the exact feeding style and favored prey of terror birds is hotly debated.
Their closest relatives alive today are 80 centimeter tall birds called seriemas, which
feed by slamming their prey against the ground to break their bones.
It's hypothesized that terror birds might have followed a similar strategy.
Since there were so many different kinds, though, they probably also had more than one
way of getting a meal.
Sloths are cute.
This is internet fact.
So scale one up to the size of an elephant and it's just that much cuter, right?
Megatherium was the biggest of the giant ground sloths, and it lived during the Pliocene and
Pleistocene epochs, 5 million years ago to almost, but not quite, the present day.
They're called ground sloths because, perhaps not surprisingly, they couldn't actually
live in trees like their modern counterparts.
A three toed sloth is well under a meter in length, but Megatherium might have measured
six meters from nose to tail.
But it was still a vegetarian, and probably exploited its size to reach into the treetops
and pull down vegetation that smaller competitors couldn't reach.
They could have been so big because there was plenty of land area available to support
their populations -- although not everyone agrees.
But it does seem clear that the dinosaurs left niches wide open for large herbivores
to fill.
Overhunting by humans is often blamed for driving the giant sloths to extinction.
But climate change at the end of the last glacial period, as well as other complex factors,
may have been involved as well.
Different animal groups have evolved extraordinary sizes for different reasons, whether it's
because of temperature or food or physiology.
The evolutionary circumstances are always different, and it's not like there's a
bias toward bigness in the past.
After all, the blue whale is still around today.
The big stuff does catch our attention, though.
There's a lot we can learn from these fossil giants about the what our planet used to be
like -- and the kinds of creatures that roamed it.
And as a bonus, these fossils also look pretty cool in a museum.

This Is What Happened To The Kids Ellen Made Famous - Duration: 5:02.
As the reigning queen of daytime television, Ellen DeGeneres has the power to turn her
guests into genuine stars overnight.
The award-winning talk show host is well-known for scouring the internet for young talent,
and she's extended invitations to countless incredible kids from all around the world
since The Ellen DeGeneres Show debuted in 2003.
An appearance on her show pretty much guarantees at least 15 minutes of fame, but what happens
when that initial buzz goes away?
Let's find out where the kids Ellen made famous are now.
Greyson Chance
In 2010, after Greyson Chance shared a video of himself performing a cover of Lady Gaga's
"Paparazzi" at a sixth-grade talent show, DeGeneres booked him for a guest spot on Ellen.
This proved to be a launching pad for the budding musician, who quickly dropped two
original songs that got millions upon millions of views.
The following year, he released his debut album, which peaked at Number 29 on the Billboard
200.
2017 was a huge year for Chance.
He released a new single entitled "Low" in December, five months after he came out as
gay on Instagram.
In his post, he revealed, "I came to fully recognize that I was gay when I was sixteen.
I decided not to publicize my sexuality largely due to a matter of privacy, as I was still
trying to find comfort and confidence within my own skin."
Heaven King
Adorable dancer Heaven King was only 2 years old when she performed alongside her dance
instructor mom, Tianne, in a 2013 video that went viral and put them on DeGeneres' radar.
"Do you think you wanna be a dancer when you grow up?"
"I AM a dancer."
Heaven was 3 when she appeared on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, melting audiences with her
copycat hip-hop moves.
The mother-daughter duo continued to release popular dance videos on YouTube, and their
chemistry soon drew the attention of TV producers.
In 2016, Deadline revealed that Verizon was about to release a reality show based on the
Kings.
Raising Heaven follows Tianne on her daily grind as she juggles being a single mother
with managing her talented daughter's career.
Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland
After finding their cover of Nicki Minaj's "Super Bass," Degeneres invited British cousins
Sophia Grace Brownlee and Rosie McClelland onto her show in 2011.
The girls became regular guests, occasional red carpet correspondents, and even wound
up getting their own segment, Tea Time with Sophia Grace and Rosie.
Sophia Grace went on to bag a record deal, and Rosie's rep told E News that she also
has some new music on the way, but they're still best-known for their many appearances
on The Ellen DeGeneres Show.
Taylor Hatala
In 2014, a video of 11-year-old Taylor Hatala dancing to Nicki Minaj's "Anaconda" caught
DeGeneres' eye, and she performed the same routine on the show a month later.
The video of that performance went on to exceed 50 million views on YouTube.
Hatala's next big break came in 2015, when she nailed the biggest audition of her career
to date.
She told The Huffington Post,
"Earlier this year, I heard of an audition that was happening in Los Angeles for the
Janet Jackson tour.
[...] Seven weeks later, I heard the news that I had been cast in the WORLD tour and
I freaked out."
Aside from Jackson's Unbreakable tour, Hatala still releases regular dance videos on her
YouTube channel.
Noah Ritter
In 2014, 5-year-old Noah Ritter got attention during an interview at Pennsylvania's Wayne
County Fair when he went off on a tangent and used the word "apparently" over and over.
"Because I'm a kid and apparently every time apparently grandpa just gives me the remote
after we watch the Powerball."
He quickly became known as "the apparently kid," and ended up becoming a regular guest
on Degeneres' show.
Today, Ritter is settled into his role as a judge on ABC's The Toy Box, and as the Times
Herald-Record reported,
"The clear star [of the show] is 8-year-old judge Noah Ritter.
[...] I have a feeling we haven't seen the last of him."
Daniel Clarke Bouchard
When 14-year old pianist Daniel Clarke Bouchard stepped up to the keys on Degeneres' show
in 2014, he performed with the confidence of a pianist twice his age and proceeded to
show everyone why he had already performed at the iconic Carnegie Hall.
Today, Bouchard is studying music at New York's prestigious Juilliard School, where his past
television appearances have brought him plenty of attention.
He told CBC in 2017,
"Someone saw the video of me on Ellen recently, someone of my own age, and he told me, 'Oh
you looked so cute.'
I was like, 'Where are you going with this?'
I mean the words, they were in past tense."
Zony and Yony
When a video of six-year-old identical Taiwanese twins Zony and Yony dancing to Crayon Pop's
"Bar Bar Bar" went viral, the catchy K-pop tune shot to the top spot.
In 2014, DeGeneres had them flown to the States to perform on her show.
With every visit back to see Ellen, both their English and their dancing improved, and the
impressive performances on their social media pages reveal that they've been taking their
talents to the next level.
"Thank you!"

What Happens At Homeland Security? - Duration: 7:28.
Border security, immigration, customs, terrorism, and cyber threats…all areas that need constant
attention to ensure the safety and security of a country.
America is known as the land of the free, but following the events of 9/11, safety is
now arguably the value that sits top of the list for most US citizens, and security in
America has been taken to a new level with increased airport safety procedures, strengthened
border control, and new legislation being passed.
So who drives this man effort and what are the processes and procedures that ensure people
are safe and secure?
Let's find out, in this episode of The Infographics Show: What Is The Role of Homeland Security?
On September 20, 2001, in response to the tragic 9-11 attacks, President George W. Bush
proposed the creation of the Office of Homeland Security.
The office was created the following month.
Then in 2002, The President announced his plans to create the Department of Homeland
Security or DHS.
Today this cabinet has more than 240,000 employees and is the third largest Cabinet department
in the United States government.
The National Strategy for Homeland Security defines their approach as a concerted national
effort to prevent terrorist attacks within the United States, reduce America's vulnerability
to terrorism, and minimize the damage and recover from attacks that do occur.
Funding for homeland security has risen from $16 billion in 2001 to $71.6 billion in 2018.
The department is responsible for public security, such as anti-terrorism, border security, immigration
and customs, cyber security, and disaster prevention and management.
There are 6 key focus areas.
Let's take a look.
1.
Intelligence and Warning – Terrorists depend on surprise.
Without it, they are unable to create the severe carnage their attacks are designed
to cause.
DHS understands that intelligence is an integral component of the overall effort to reduce
the nations' vulnerability to terrorism.
Solid intelligence coupled with warning systems that are capable of detecting a terrorist
event before it happens, is a sure way to minimize the risk of an attack.
DHS also has a number of strategic initiatives to support their mission with intelligence
and warning.
These include working with the FBI to hire intelligence analysts with specialized expertise,
such as computer skills, foreign language capacity, and science and engineering backgrounds,
and also using "red team" techniques to improve the department's capability of detecting
terrorism.
This is achieved by DHS staff who are responsible for viewing the United States through the
eyes of the terrorists, to help discern methods, and decipher targets they are planning to
strike.
2.
Border and Transportation Security – America's borders total 7,000 miles of land with Canada
and Mexico, as well as coastlines, lakes and rivers which also fall under DHS's jurisdiction.
Monitoring these areas 24 hours a day, is essential to reduce the illegal movement of
people, drugs, weapons, and contraband.
DHS secures America's borders through the deployment of technology, infrastructure and
personnel, and by working closely with Mexico and Canada and other state and territory partners.
Some achievements since the creation of DHS, include a 53 percent reduction in illegal
immigration attempts during the past three years, and along the Southwest border, there
have been 41 percent more drugs seized, 74 percent more currency seized, and 159 percent
more weapons seized compared to years from 2006 to 2008.
3.
Domestic Counterterrorism – Terrorism is top of the priority list for DHS.
It's the reason the department was created, and terrorists continue to evolve with the
way they plan their attacks.
The department must stay a head of the game by understanding the many ways an attack can
now be carried out.
Whether biological, chemical, radiological, nuclear or cyber attacks...The reach of the
Internet has also fueled the growth of "homegrown" extremism, where individuals based in the
United States are recruited online.
And since 9/11, initiatives with Homeland Security have seen the FBI handed far larger
budgets to help fight and prevent terrorist attacks.
Law enforcement officials now have better tools, including roving wiretaps and the authority
to seize assets to help end financial counterfeiting, smuggling and money-laundering.
And Judges are able to pass higher sentences when convicting individuals of terrorism.
4.
Protecting Critical Infrastructure and Key Assets - Critical infrastructure refers to
things such as the power in our homes, drinking water, public transport, shops and communication
systems – all areas that assist in the daily functioning of American society.
When DHS was created, it was assigned the responsibility of coordinating measures to
strengthen and protect these areas.
In total, there are 16 critical infrastructure sectors that are considered vital to the United
States, because if they are compromised in any way, the result would have a debilitating
effect on security and national public health and safety.
These 16 areas are: chemical, commercial, communications, manufacturing, dams; defense;
emergency services; energy; financial services; food and agriculture; government facilities;
healthcare and public health; information technology; nuclear reactors, materials and
waste; transportation systems; water and wastewater.
Since the private sector owns an estimated 85 percent of all critical infrastructure
in America, private sector partnerships have developed to ensure the success of Homeland
Security in areas such as vulnerability assessments, determining criticality, and other activities
associated with critical infrastructure protection.
5.
Defending Against Catastrophic Threats – The technology, expertise and material needed
to build deadly weapons is more readily available today than it has ever been, and so there
is a far higher probability of a terrorist or enemy country using chemical, biological,
or nuclear weapons on the US.
An event which would have catastrophic results - Mass casualties far beyond that of 9/11,
social and economic disruption, and long-term contamination, would cause a devastating amount
of instability within the country.
The department has deployed inspection and detection procedures to ensure materials are
unable to enter the country through ports, and the Department of Defense works with foreign
countries who have nuclear programs to ensure continued strict security for the global inventory
of nuclear weapons.
6.
Emergency Preparedness and Response – DHS also reacts to natural disasters that impact
millions of Americans every year.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency or FEMA, is a team within The Department, helping
communities reduce their risk, supporting emergency services prepare for accidents and
natural disasters, and helping people to get back to normal when their lives are turned
upside down by a disaster.
When Hurricane Irma, a Category 3 storm with winds of 135 miles per hour, hit Florida last
year, Homeland Security was responsible for coordinating the response.
This included federal teams, and voluntary agencies staffing emergency shelters, providing
food and water, and offering comfort.
Since inception in 2002, the Department of Homeland Security has absorbed Immigration
and assumed all border safety and security responsibilities.
It manages all aspects of domestic security to ensure Americans are safe and that the
threat of another major terrorist attack, is greatly reduced.
So, do you think America is a safer place since the introduction of these Homeland Security
strategies?

The LOST ICE SKATE, Built around 1914 - Duration: 12:39.
hey guys welcome back to another video i'm standing here on a roof of a verry
special building this is an ice hall and ice skating hall and this has been
abandoned for a very long time there's asbest inside of this place so they
lock it up really good but you have our mouth mask with us we have our gloves with
us and we're gonna try to get into this building
William is already over there he's ready to go inside
and yeah let's explore this place I'm really excited it's always a real
challenge to get into these places you like the monkey stuff really has to do
to get in here I'm gonna give you the stuff catch I won't do it I won't do it
with your back okay got it
tripods there you go okay Wow and now way I have to go down I've been
looking around this place and I see that there's a lot of graffiti inside of here
here for example of the wall so hope that the main place is still nice they
They bricked up the wall over there
maybe that hole over there there's a hole but the let's let's loop down there
first I think that's the only option that we have but we have to look for
other options to see the break depth of all here so people can get inside of the
place it's quite kind of new maybe some people try to knock the wall huh
but that's not possible well this place is this one I stood in the middle of a
city so that's why it's bricked up so well and there's asbestos inside of this
place yeah we all shine some light over there there my flashlight with me let's
have a look over there basement you can look inside the basement yeah yeah let's
move to place first the basement this for later they also need the basement
they also need the basement this little bike over here that's good lights on
let's go
Wow Wow air sighs drink
cranly urge Wow
but beautiful kind of special place here to see something like this which always
ya see and in good condition and then no like this your stay is the
goal it's called a fuckin science
fortunately there's not a lot of light flooding into this place normally it was
lit up by a dime bright lights at the roof here don't think you can see it but
there are all lights on the roof so it was lit up by those lights but nowadays
yeah it's just really dark because those lights won't turn on anymore we're never
gonna it's gonna try to take some pictures inside of here a lot of light
so guys now I'm gonna tell you a little bit about this place this is a very very
old building this is inaugurated in 1939 it was and
it was a really nice building for the time I was reading a style of that time
and I'm gonna show you the outside in a little bit but the inside this place is
just huge this is 2030 meters high and it's displaces somewhere in Belgium
considered the roof there somewhere around Belgium ice-skating rink and in
2011 they decided that the government decided to close down this place because
it was too dangerous to up still operate because there was a lot of asbestos in
this place the maintenance on this place was really no so they decided to decided
to close down the place and now yeah seven years later it's decaying falling
apart and yeah I don't think they have a curse person for it but this is a
protected building about a UNESCO so they are not allowed to destroy it or
demolish it they might turn it into something else but then they have to
remove the asbestos first and that's the huge desk so I think it's gonna lay here
like this for time to go standing we're standing here
in the entrance hall this is where you would get your tickets aye sir I want to
take it for the game F tonight that's 50 euros please and then you would go into
there and you can watch to share the game we go show well I've never written
ice skating event that's it that's hockey that's I talk yeah
normally that normally display hi I talk here on the entrance hall over there I
think there's a little bit of weather gets playground like after you get to
get some drinks over here after the game in the midterm of the game your popcorn
your drinks your hot dogs whatever you want
you could get it here they did turn over the futures over there these places I
like because they're they're a little bit different from the places I found
normally this is this is an ice-skating all this school it's something you don't
see every day the houses are cool because they have
lots of stuff after the past owner in it but these places are just humongous
great to explore to see every real thing our tour accent yeah I just love these
places I would love to do more of them here are the changing rooms over here
you have an ice skate so I guess you could rent skates and go
onto the onto the ice if you wanted that's normally the changing room there
are a lot of ice skates in here you can see them lying on the ground here
I think some homeless people have slept here okay it smells like a weed it
smells like meat in here don't know I want to get onto the roof I want to see
over this city let's go over here are the tribunes with a pair of Italy
bullets it's neat the hot rocks watch the game beautiful over there and are
some more Tribune's up there I'm gonna show them in minutes
ya can overlook the stadium from here watch the game this these are really
good seeds you just heard some people over there there's an entrance so we
heard some people moving stuff and they think we are not along inside yeah

German boyfriend tries Mexican street corn for the first time!! - Duration: 12:10.
hey guys welcome back to our Channel and today is a very exciting day for me
because we are in San Luis Potosi! her hometown! yes! Janik has been here
several times before but this time it's different because we're bringing you
along with us and we're gonna try to show you my favorite parts of my city
but not only that because she's also gonna show me a couple of things that
she likes to eat in san luis potosí! yeah I'm super excited for example tonight
I'm gonna try to convince Janik to try the real Mexican Street corn it's super delicious dude
scary y'all! - He thinks it's so disgusting but it's delicious when you've tried it. - I've seen those videos on the internet where they put
a kilo of mayonnaise and a kilo of cheese on top.. - No but these ones are not like that.. you won't have that.
you would have the real one! - we'll see maybe I'm gonna like it!
and we're gonna start with Huasteca Food!
we walked up two staircases and Joss is already tired
No I'm not! - holy cow! - dumb
Did you record that? - Yes!
so guys we went to Tequisnieves, well we wanted to go...
because it's a place very famous in San Luis Potosi that has a bunch of different
flavors of ice cream. they have like tequila ice-cream, mojito ice cream, crazy flavors and stuff
we were super excited we arrived and it was supposed to be open
but it was closed.. we're gonna try it again later! -Au my head, I hit my head!
guys I got Mango con Chile and
Tequila. - I got pina colada and mojito. - Are you ready? - I'm ready!
aaaah.. I wish something like these would exist in Germany
Pina Colada tastes a lot like coconut, it's actually really good! - Yeah? - Yes pina colada is coconut
Oh, ha ups. I don't drink
Yeah sure.. liar. - ..Water.. - let me try yours because I think I'm not gonna like this
Mmmh you're gonna like it!
no!! - you don't like it? - No, for real! that's not true, try it again! - No i don't want to!
I cannot waste this I'm gonna eat it from the table
look at this guys look at this oh my god she's eating it from the table
are you kidding me? the part that didn't touch the table.. I'm gonna buy another one.. No
okay so Joss keeps eating her ice cream from the table. look we can put this against it. look at this
Mmm eat your ice-cream! - wait, where was that?
I don't know! I got it from the table.. - whatever I don't care, there is no going back at this point
look at this mess what she made on the table
only to get all of the ice cream.. I'm gonna get a napkin and I'm gonna clean it
have you tried this? - No - She hasn't even tried it!
oh I like it! - Yeah me too
Okay do you want to try Mojito? - Yeah!
I'm not a mojito type of person, it definitely tastes like Mojito. I don't like it
Haha I'm like: I don't like it.. I'm not gonna take the Mango part, I only want to take the
tequila. okay how can I reach it? - From the side
totally tastes like Tequila y'all! - Do you like it?
No because I don't really like Tequila.. - What??
I didn't know this dude.. - of course you did
I don't know if we can stay together anymore. - so Joss just asked inside first thing:
is there actually alcohol in the ice cream? answer is: yes! the second thing:
do they sell it to everyone or are kids not allowed to buy that ice cream? answer is: yes
they sell it to everyone.. okay. now up to our next place! - Yeah Vamos!
guys we made it to the center of San Luis Potosi and we're gonna show you around a little bit
it's pretty late, it took us forever because the traffic is super super strong
but yeah it's nice and I can't wait to show you a bit of my city
Bienvenidos a San Luis Potosi! so we are at Plaza
where you can buy a bunch of handcrafts, handmade jewelry and things like that. super nice
Ah I can't open my eyes! - she's too sensitive she needs her sunglasses
what I wanted to say is, this place here, this Plaza, I think is my favorite spot in San Luis Potosi
is it? - yeah ,it's just nice I like to place some fountains, there many people here
I like it but it freaks me out because there's too many people
I don't like that that much
Uhm babe you don't belong to them..
I'm burning, it's so hot this thing. And my booty too..
We arrived at Teatro de la Paz and here are constructions
like always, wherever we go! - There is construction
I could really need sunglasses but Joss has mine and I don't know where they are
she doesn't give them back to me
he never asked for his sunglasses, I'm not using them as you can see.. you're so dramatic!
fake news, fake news!
so guys I'm not sure anymore because this place is also super cool and I don't know which one I like more now
it's super cool because here are also fountains and there's grass, so you know..
fountains, grass, pidgins, weirdo. the weirdo is also here
it's about to rain. suddenly out of nowhere clouds came
and now the sky is super cloudy super much wind and it's gonna rain in no time
we just ran for our lives... - Joss never runs... that's what you said before she moved to Germany
now she's running all the time.. that's the funny thing.. welcome to Germany!
double chin for life
so guys it's a little bit sad.. oh you're so close to this wall - no I wasn't
omg guys when Joss is driving I'm freaking out.. - I wasn't close to this wall you weirdo
Guys I'm so excited because Janik is gonna try Streetcorn for the first time
authentic Mexican Streetcorn and yeah, we're gonna go now, I'm super excited
he was just singing, hopefully he leaves it in the video
Hey guys I hope you can hear me, it's pretty loud here. Around the corner there's a stand where we can buy Street corn
or also called Elote. for me it's super weird
but I'm excited to try it because you know at one point you have to try I guess
so I only bought one right now because I don't know if Janik is gonna like it
so maybe he's just gonna leave everything and I can eat it
Are you ready? I don't know yet, I mean it doesn't look bad it looks actually delicious
oh - but I'm scared because it has all of this chili stuff right? yeah
no it smells bad, it smells bad. Don't smell it! - Don't smell it Janik!
it smells like cow! - I know, it's goat cheese. - oh that's why.. - it's goat cheese.. okay.
I can't stop smelling it - oh my god, okay close your nose
it's actually not as bad as I expected. - oh really? - yeah I can barely feel the chili
I don't know why.. - she asked how much and I said medium. oh, I can barely feel the chili
but I can definitely feel the cheese, a lot of cheese, but
it's not that bad y'all. I could have half of it. half of it because I don't want to eat all of it
really? it's huge! - That's what she said
it's a mess! oh my god my mouth is watering. - Joss cannot wait to try it. - it's so bend
Yeah it is.. maybe I should take it this way
It doesn't taste bad, but also it's a bit whatever for me
because it's not my favorite thing that I've ever tried
how can you be my boyfriend? I can't understand it
Now I have the whole thing between my teeth.. - yeah that's what she said.
at least now I can go and have the whole corn for myself
so I haven't had Street corn for a year or something like that
it's missing chili. yeah it doesn't taste like chili right?
haha look at her face hahaha everything is on her face. - ah it's so good! - okay she's gonna finish it
look at her, oh yeah look at her mouth! - if you guys want to try this streetcorn in SLP
it's Elotes de Morales, they're very famous
they're in front of the parque de morales, park of morales. it was $25... sorry Pesos! wow that would be expensive
yeah one euro and 20 cents probably
this was our testing of Elote
let us know in the comments if there are other parts of Mexico were they prepare it differently
that would be interesting to know! so Joss is gonna eat it for the next hour probably
we hope you liked it if you did please give it a thumbs up
and make sure to subscribe, if you're not already.
we hope you like my city and if you did then come visit it's super cool! we love you guys see you next week
adios muchachos

054 - Drifting on the River Trent on our Narrowboat - Duration: 18:41.
So we're just shy of Shardlow and it's a beautiful day, it's a blue sky, the
birds singing. A big change from yesterday. And the motorways humming,
actually its not the motorway, it's the Derby bypass. I didn't get much sleep last night
probably because of the noise keeping George awake, because George was what kept
us awake. But we got here last night in the rain, in the grey, and we were just
exhausted, so we just stopped even though we knew it wasn't the best place.
And we went to sleep too early. We went to sleep a seven. So the plan is to
stay in Shardlow for a couple of days, but not in this mooring. I'm going to walk
ahead and see if I can find a better mooring and then call Michael to come and
then move ahead. Just past... so there's two locks in front of us and we can't go
past the second one because beyond that is the Shardlow flood lock... err flood
gates, which apparently, as of last night, well we don't really know as of yesterday.
But as of the day before yesterday... everything we had is that its going down, its going
down and there's been no more rain, and there's no rain forecast, so we should be
able to go through on Wednesday, which is when I hope to go through.
We're planning on heading up there to the Erewas. We're going to have like a
very short cruise video now
It's a bit windy so you might not be able to hear me but I found this mooring for Michael
just before the lock, now I've told him he can come here and I'm going walk on
to see if there is anything better. The only downside with this is that he'll need pins, but no big deal.
After saying that I was going do one day cruise vlogs, this is actually a two-day
cruise vlog because... because yesterday's course was so short.
It was not even half a mile.
We did look in this area to see if there was a nicer mooring, but there wasn't.
So we just stayed up there. So we've just come down Shardlow lock to get
some water. We had really good timing. Jo was walking George, there was a boat
that came up off the water point, so just as Jo came back, she was able to help
them work the locks, I was able to move in with a boat that just surreptitiously came down with us.
It turned out that boat was spinning around. So they were going back up and
another boat was waiting to go back up with them. So it's perfect. But,
the poor women... we were talking all the way down, she's really lovely and she's like,
'I need to turn around, I've never turned round before. My last words were her
were, 'don't worry you'll be fine'
The wind caught her. We're sat on the water point going.
'on oh you poor thing, poor thing. And she just got blown across.
She got blow across and just pinned up against a part of the wharf there.
I didn't film any of it because I thought that would be too cruel.
I hope this is working. You see, I didn't want to cruise today because it's so windy.
Yeah, well, live and learn. What do you mean live and learn?
Well, we live and we learn. To listen to your wife?
No, No. I mean, if we go out there and its too windy, well we learn not
to do that again. I'd rather just not do it in the first place. At this point I
think we're fine
The guy that was coming down before us
asked where we were going and when i said we were going up the Erewash, he said he did it last week
and gave us some advice. He said as you turn, because its like a 90 degree turn to get into the Erewash.
The River is flowing quite fast.
So as you turn, the boat just keeps going, so you don't... the boat turns
degree but you don't have forward motion that way.
So we need to move our back end more than 90 degrees and power against the flow. And power,
He said rev up before you turn. And he also said, that one you turn, there is a
bridge and then a lock immediately. And that before we get to
the bridge so many boats have hit it that will the bricks are like falling
down, and if you hit it you're going to have bricks coming down on top of you.
Oh good! Okay I'm looking forward to this. I'm not looking forward to this!
Well let's see where... we're gonna
get up to Derwent Mouth. So we have got one lock between us and Derwent Mouth.
And the flood locks, and there will be red lights showing if it's too dangerous to go.
So there is Sawley cut, I might petition for us just to stop in Sawley cut for the night.
Oh well yeah. Fair enough.
We have that between us and the Erewash. So basically from here to down there.
There's Derwent Mouth, there's a fairly sheltered section, then there's the
river section, then there's Sawley Cut.
There's the Cut. if you want to stay in the cut
we can stay in the cut. If the wind picks up or anything. We'll see what the first river section is like and then
make a decision. Well the water is full so we should go.
Moving on! So are you walking this section? Yeah?
I just find it funny because, there is this great big red section. This little yellow section.
And then this big green section. There's just that little transition point. It's maybe three inches.
There's Michael off in the distance just going underneath the M1
Okay, so coming up to the very, rather complicated junction, where the Erewash meets the Trent North,
meets the south, Soar South, meets the.... great big weir.
we made it! We're on the Erewash. Just above The Trent lock.
And what an exciting day it was. It could have been less exciting, I'll admit that.
I can't even remember coming down that first look to the water point, it seems
like forever ago. Oh we did pass through the little floodgates but those
were open and luckily there were no flashing lights because that's where they
tell you about, if there is flooding. Do not proceed past here if its red or something.
And it shows for The Trent and The Soar and they were both off so we proceeded.
So we made it to the second lock, the Derwent Mouth Lock.
We spent an age getting it ready and then by the time we were going in, there
was a little boat with an outboard, a narrowboat with an outboard. A 25
footer or something. That came through with us, but then he had some sort of
engine problem on the way out. So he had to stop. So he couldn't get his boat
started and they pulled off to the side to try and repair his engine, so we just
carried along. And Jo walked along the towpath because, at the end of the day
she was chicken. I got out onto the place where the Derwent meets the Trent,
meets the Trent and Mersey Canal, and effectively just started
getting pushed around a bit, but it wasn't really bad at all. There were some
little whirlpooly type things where stuff was joining up, but then as soon as
I got to that first large bridge there, the pipe bridge, it was just totally calm
in that point on. And there's not much footage of it because I was such a long
way away most at the time. And then, you know, ultimately to the beginning of The
Sawley Cut where there's a flood lock, that was still closed. It only opens
when the rivers in 'green, like, there's no warning going on. But the levels were
very close went they. Yeah, we were right of the edge of green.
Right on the point of they were just going to open the flood
gates. In fact the guy who walked up to me there. He's the volunteer that
basically runs the flood lock and deals with the water
levels between there and inside the Sawley Cut.
So he was telling me that probably tomorrow, they'll be locked
open because they're no longer going to be needed. And then coming out of there,
the Sawley cut was... we'd heard that there was lots of moorings there but it was
chock-a-block with boats wasn't it. There is the marina as well, there is Sawley
Marina and that was full of boats and then there was lots of towpath moorings
that were full. And then we pulled up to the automated lock, it's not really automated... the power driven lock.
There was three lock keepers working that lock and hundreds of
gongoozlers. So they just locked us through which was nice.
Gave me a bit of pointers on how to turn up on to The Erewash and how not
to smack into the bridge. And we hadn't really discussed about whether I'd be
riding or walking but... but I knew you were going to walk. You were so busy
talking to the lock keepers and I was so busy talking to the walkers, I knew you were going to walk.
You were sailing out before. There was nowhere to pick me up.
No, there was a big ladder you could climb down. With the dog? And I could have come around. I'll just tuck the dog under my arm.
I could have come around the corner to where the elsan and everything was. Which in the long run
I'm regretting not having done, because it turns out that the one at the Trent
lock, is out of order. Anyway me and George were safely on
dry land. And do you know it was funny? I had my life jacket on the whole
way, even though i didn't step on the boat. just in case you fell off
the towpath. The Trent went really well. Yeah I mean The Trent was fine
It it looks longer on the map than it actually feels, because you're
moving pretty quick. But I could definitely feel the momentum and the
wind kept picking up. I get to the point where there's the sign and it's like
okay here's The Erewash, here's, you know, here's all the different directions you
can go in. You can't see really the sign on the Erewash canal bridge until you're
past it. It's a hidden turning isn't it. It's almost back on itself, it's more than 90
degrees. And it's hidden. Well so my original plan was to come down and kind
of do what some of the boaters had said, which was to turn in and
bank over and then power up against the current. And what the guy at the...
The Canal and River trust guy had told me at the lock, was that it was actually,
probably better, to head down more towards this sort of peninsula, where
there's a Yacht Club. Do a 180 in.. Oh so it was planned? Well no see, I did the 180 in the
entirely wrong direction. First I did this sort of nose towards The Erewash
thinking maybe I can do it, but I immediately felt like, no I'm just being
pushed along. So then I angled towards The Trent and I'm heading towards The
Trent, and then I started feeling the boat being pushed off past the Yacht
Club. So it's like, okay you know what, I'm just going to basically, get my nose
into the deepest part of the water and just spin! And so I ended up doing this
kind of, you know. fishtail manoeuvre. So you did 270 instead of 90?
Around two hundred and seventy three hundred degrees yes.
Basically I was drifting in a boat and...
I was walking along and he kept going out of view. And I was like, he must have done the
turn now, and I came around a little little corner, I'm like why is he heading
in completely the wrong direction. Are we going down the Soar now?
And then it was basically turn around and coming straight up the Erewash. And when I saw you, you were spinning
really fast. It was a fast turn, it was the fastest turn I think I've done.
And then I find my nose pointed back, kind of towards the
canal and I just power up. And at this point I've got control back
because I'm facing into the current so it's pretty easy from that point.
I mean we're in the canal mouth now but it's still wind and movement and
kayakers coming in. So we were kind of on an adrenaline high at this stage,
you from your little spiny thing. Me from running and being worried about you,
and then we had The Trent look to do. And it was really nice actually, there
was crowds of people watching us through, and it was great because they
all did the doors for me and stuff. They were asking you questions and
me questions, and it's just hard when you're like... there was lots of people watching...
when you're trying to concentrate and be safe and you're tired. I was really tired.
So yeah we literally just pulled forward, we were going to use the
Elsan and but it's out of order. But we're literally on the first mooning,
opposite the houseboats, and then we went to the pub. So I think we're
gonna stop here for the night...
I think so. I'm exhausted. Saying
that it wasn't much stress and everything... and wasn't much stress, but in a lot of
ways I'm like... I think whenever you do something a bit different it's
exhausting. It's only two o'clock but I'm exhausted yeah. Okay so that's the end of
the vlog. Our two day vlog. Thanks for watching, like, comment and
subscribe. It'll have to do
she hasn't been recording this entire time. Haha
You're going to be greeted in todays video by a black screen and a couple of people talking.
you might get slightly seasick from this camera
slightly seasick
I'm Sean Connery. I'm frizzy haired Jo. This is Jo. She's a Bond girl.
She's an excellent bond girl. We dont know what her bond name is.
You're not in frame.
This person has a small. Very small. Railway running through their yard.
Mmmmm, yum yum yum.
Lovely kibble.
No, that's not a kibble. Eat the kibble.
These double locks that we've been passing, they don't have like... most of them don't have any sort of bridge across them.
Oh, i'm worried about that. Excellent the wind is picking up.
George, come here.
George is coming on the boat now
George has refused to come on the boat George will not be coming on the boat George is
looking at me like 'daddy mommies traitor. Traitor mommy! Good boy,
George's on the boat now
I was pretty nervous about this section... I don't know what i was...
I think maybe... I don't know what I was nervous about.
So basically we're on The Erewash, we've gone, canal, a river, met
another river, came on to another canal, saw two other canals or saw one other
canal and another river It's an exciting day, lots of water
It's been a good day interesting yeah okay, were off... to see the wizard?
The lizard? No not the lizard. We're off to see
the lizard, the wonderful lizard of Oz... because because because because because
of the lizard he was. Just end the vlog. Why do I always have to end the vlog? Because I get cringe when i sat it.
Oh, coz I'm not cringe when I say like, comment and subscribe?

Government Accidentally Releases 'Remote Mind Control' File - Duration: 2:44.
Government Accidentally Releases 'Remote Mind Control' File
BY Vailham
Washington State Fusion Center have accidentally released documents detailing plans made by
unknown persons to create technology which will be able to remotely red human minds.
The documents were released in accordance with a Freedom of Information request submitted
by a journalist looking into Fusion Centers investigations into Antifa and a number of
white supremacist groups.
To their surprise, the journalists received not only the documents that they asked for
including emails, intelligence briefings, and bulletins but also a zip file titled EM
effects on human body.
Intrigued the journalist opened the file.
Very disturbing records on Mind Control leaked by Homeland Security
The documents that the journalist received were rather vague, containing images of a
black helicopter shooting psychotronic beams down onto the Earth.
There were also claims that these weapons would be able to map the brainwaves of the
target and broadcast their thoughts back to a center.
While it is not made clear in the documents how this type of technology would work, it
is implied that it uses electromagnetic devices.
Electromagnetism is known to have a profound effect on the human body and can cause intense
pain, permanent psychological damage, and even death.
These documents do not necessarily prove that the Washington State Fusion Center has been
involved in the construction of this kind of technology or even that it exists.
In addition to that, the vague and rather amateurish quality of the documents suggests
that they were not produced by any government agency or official contractor working for
the United States government.
However, while the existence of the documents in themselves proves very little, it does
suggest that there is an effort to produce the kind of mind-reading technology that most
people believe to be nothing more than science fiction.
Who is attempting to create this technology and how successful they have been in their
attempts is not clear from these accidentally released documents.

Evanescence News: "Kerrang 2018" (CC). - Duration: 7:31.
Currently, a great musical weight is positioned again in the ranking of "most expected of the year".
Evanescence continues to leaps and bounds with her new work, tour and presentations that have brought shouts and applause among their fans.
In this episode, we will get to know their reflection, about the past, present and future of the band thanks to the magazine KERRANG! in its latest edition.
Follow us, now begins a new season of "Evanescence News".
The magazine Kerrang! continues to impress us with a great cover,
in which we can see Amy Lee with a more daring look and a headline that catches us to continue reading it.
It's been 15 years since Evanescence made theirself known to the world and Amy Lee's life has not stopped.
While the tour in Europe with "Synthesis Tour" has just finished, Amy prepares for a short break before continuing to the next level, along with Lindsey Stirling.
The tour is spread all over the world, the band and Amy do not rest.
Evanescence arrives to English floor, where they presented with a completely sold theater in the "Royal Festival Hall".
In spite of this great drag with the public of all the ages, the trajectory of the band does not have been exempt of changes
new sounds and lyrics that have taken them to be recognized anywhere in the world.
At 36, the band's vocalist, Amy Lee, is more mature and confident of herself.
From that adventurous beginning until now a tour has flourished, full of presentations
which includes 28 pieces in the orchestra, in places from Sheffield to St. Petersburg.
During the soundcheck at "Royal Festival Hall"
Those lucky enough to attend the soundcheck watch the band carefully onstage.
But, what goes through the head of Amy Lee to see all this change that has been created between her and her fans?.
Kerrang! got it and tells us:
Amy Lee: "When I had the idea of doing shows like this, I knew we had to do it right, it would not be something we could pretend, just as I knew it could not be just [Evanescence]
playing the songs that were originally recorded
and then a Orchestra try to find the way to that sound.
We've really recovered our sonority so they have a space and be interpreted.
It's not just playing our distorted guitars like we normally do".
Away from social networks and controversy, Amy Lee admits that, as we see her today, she is a little tired of traveling.
Amy's life has changed to the extent that a space on the tour bus is reserved for one
"Jack Lion Hartzler", her three-year-old son.
A few days ago, mother and son returned to their home in Brooklyn, New York
and resumed a life of tranquility that seems at least as part of the current identity of Amy Lee
as the person who stands on the stage in front of thousands of people.
Their debut album "Fallen" in 2003 marked the history of the band
being released to fame immediately with its dark and well-defined style.
According to the final calculations, "Fallen" reached 17 million listeners
Amy Lee freed herself from the shadow projected by "Fallen" by adhering to less is more.
Ben Moody left the band due to "creative differences" and since then the only [Amy]
remaining founding member has directed the band's direction.
"There are times when I want to be with my son, and take him to the playground. There are times when I don't want to be recognized".
The leader of Evanescence tells us.
Amy Lee tells us:
"Obviously, I love doing this and the connection my music has with people when we play live.
It's strong and it's undeniable.
But in spite of how great it is, after a while it can become exhausting and feel like a job and it is the moment when I have to take some time for my family and friends.
That is very important to me. It's important to be at home playing on my piano.
I don't mind being in New York, so I can walk and be the average person I am.
I can go to the butcher shop, the grocery store and all that kind of stuff..."
"Fallen's success was overwhelmingly a blessing," says Amy reflecting on past glories.
"The money I received gave me the independence and freedom to follow the music I wanted to do next
and that undoubtedly outweighs the negativity"
"But there are also times when everything has been a bit chaotic…
When Fallen was released, immediately the people thought they knew me.
I wanted to tell people: You don't know me. This is not what I am".
"I think there are a lot of great moments that I've missed because of my career"

The leader, Amy Lee, tells us.
And exclusively, the creator of the cover of "Synthesis" P.R. BROWN, shared with the magazine KERRANG!

At any moment Evanescence prepares to record songs, their musicians retire to Florida or California to rehearse the music they want to release.
But in 2018 there are no plans for this to happen.
And while Amy Lee reviews and questions the idea of falling in love with the release of "new music in the traditional format of an album" we will not have news.
Should people be worried about the future of the band?
In this way we come to the end of this video.
What did you think of the interview, photo session and information that Kerrang!
gave us talking about the past, present and future of both Amy and the band?.
Would you like that the band publish an EP or singles before a new album next year?

BluMaan Hybrid Cream Clay on Curly/Wavy Hair (How To) - Men's Long Hairstyles - Duration: 5:07.
- If you've been looking for a way
to keep your curls less frizzy, more defined,
and lasting longer, then you're watching the right video
because today, I'm gonna be showing you
how I've been keeping my curls looking fabulous
with a hair clay.
(horns trumpeting)
Hello everybody and welcome back to my channel.
My name's Thomas, if you're brand new here
and I make styling hair-related videos
every single week here on YouTube.
So if that's your kind of thing,
make sure you hit the subscribe button and come back.
So today we're talking about hair curling.
If you are brand new here,
I've been growing my hair out for over a year now
and my favourite thing to do is play with my curls.
Now, a couple of weeks ago I did a video
about a wash-and-go routine, with my friend Mike.
It actually was really cool.
Wash-and-go's have been great for,
especially for dry, frizzy hair types like mine.
It defined my curls a lot better and it kept it moisturised.
So in terms of products for wash-and-go's,
there was three products that I use.
There was the Aunt Jackie's Flax Seed Gel,
which I'm kind of a fan, not really.
It's not my favourite thing.
There's also the SheaMoisture Styling Lotion,
and there was also the Jane Carter Solution.
All three of these products mixed together
made a really good curl combination,
however, I wasn't too much of a fan
of the flax seed gel and I thought,
"How could I make this a little bit different?"
And in my curiosity, I was like, well,
I've got hair clays and I know hair clays are great
for adding texture, a bit of body.
I thought I would add in the Cavalier Clay first
to see if it would help define my curls.
It did indeed work, because the Cavalier Clay
is a solid hold product.
It really gave the curls that definition.
However, because it's such a hard hold product,
they were very stiff and they weren't bouncy
and beautiful like the ones I have today.
I thought about it a little bit more and I went,
"Hang on a minute.
"Hybrid Cream Clay is probably the best thing for this."
Because A, it's a cream, it's easy to apply,
it could probably mesh with the styling lotion
and the Jane Carter Solution very well.
But not only that, it has the clay properties as well
that are gonna give me nice texture.
The other thing on top of it, was the Hybrid Cream Clay
has a delayed hot activation in it,
which means once you've put it on the hair,
it actually starts to set within 15 minutes afterwards.
It's designed like that, so by rights,
I thought well, if I apply this to wet curls,
while my curls are drying, the delayed hold activation
will hold them in place and hopefully, decrease frizz,
which is exactly what you're seeing right now.
So now I've finally found something
that actually works for me.
There is a process to it, obviously,
like every hair routine that I do.
You don't need every single product in this range.
The products that I'm using here today are just pretty much
because I have such dry hair.
If your hair is not on the drier side,
you can probably get away without using the SheaMoisture
'cause this one really is for moisturising.
But, essentially, what I do to get
these curls rocking is I'll start off with a leave-in cream,
my Bhave leave-in cream.
It's my old faithful.
I pretty much use it every single day.
And then, once I've applied that,
I will part my hair down the middle.
So I do this in two sections.
I'll part it on this side, part it on that side,
and then I will merge all three of these products together.
So a tiny, tiny, tiny little bit
of the Jane Carter Solution.
You don't want too much of this
'cause if you use too much it gets very oily.
Then I'll put the SheaMoisture,
and then I'll put a lump of my Hybrid Cream Clay.
Once all of it is on my palm,
I'll just mix it all together
and then add it to my section of hair,
and then do the same on the other side.
And then all you have to do is let it air dry
and then you get this.
(bell dings)
And that's pretty much as easy as it needs to be.
Like, literally, you could probably get away
with just a leave-in conditioner and the clay.
Hybrid Cream Clay is probably your best bet
simply because of the delayed hold activation,
the texturizing properties
and the easiness of application.
It's really, really all-in-one product
and it's pretty much as simple as that.
I never thought like a clay
was gonna work so well for my hair.
I did use to think hair clays were just for people
with short, 50 hair styles
that wanted to make it look real swish.
But, I've actually defied that and you can as well
and I just really wanted to bring that
and share that with you today.
It's gonna be great for people with waves.
If you've got waves that frizz out all the time
or you've got real curls like I do,
I would definitely suggest doing something like this.
You don't need all the products that I've used.
I would probably, at minimum,
use like a leave-in conditioner and the cream clay.
That's probably your best bet.
And trust me, you will see a difference.
And if any of you do try this out as well,
please make sure you let me know
in the comment section below
because I'm always keen to hear about it.
And, yeah, I want to know more.
So that's pretty much all I have for you today.
I really hope you enjoyed this video
and I can't wait to hear about your rocking curls.
I do have a Facebook group as well
for anybody that is brand new.
It's called Hairstyles in Action
and what we do in there,
we just kind of encourage each other to have better hair
and stick through the growing out process.
So if that's something that you're into,
please make sure you visit that
and I'll see you next week for another video.
See you later.

fake friends... - Duration: 4:51.
If you're a fake friend to someone stop they stop, they don't need you you don't need them just cut stop no
Yo guys it's your girl Dynamite Deb I've already made a video about how to cut off a fake friend because like
We really don't be needing fake friends you can watch that
Click that right there if you want to watch that
Anyway now, I'm just going to talk about fake friends because I'm confused
Here's the thing being a fake friend to someone is legit
a waste of time
why would you want to hang out with someone you don't like
people keep getting being nice and being fake
Confused you could be nice someone you don't like that's perfectly fine
That's just being a good person
But you don't need to be a fake friend to them if someone you don't like comes talk to you
You can easily talk to them
That's just being a nice person
if they come up to you you don't have to be like no don't talk to me go away you a word my mama told me not
To say, so bye you don't have to be like that, but you become fake when you don't like them
But you still make plans with them hang out with them treat them like your friend tell them to talk to you about the problems
blah blah blah
So on and so on you act like them friends when you don't like them
You're wasting your time all the time you spend
Being fake friends with them and hanging out them even though you don't like them
and then talking about them behind their back and talking about the time you spent with them because you didn't like them you could easily just
Erase all that time and do something you actually want to do so you don't have to talk about the time
Stupid there are two types of fake friends i can think of at this moment
I can probably think of more if you can think of a more comment down below, but here's what I got right now
There's the type of fake friend where you're friends with them, just because you want to use them
And then there's the fake friend that you just you don't like them
but you just hang out them if you pretend to be someone's friend just because you need something from them or because you want to use
them to get something
You're trash you need to stub your toe
Go do it, go stub your toe right now, that's so mean humans aren't props. We aren't tools
You need to use no stop and if you're the fake friend that just doesn't that doesn't like the people that they hang out with what ughhh you're wasting your energy
You're wasting your time because I swear
Some of y'all that do that y'all mess around and hang out with the people you don't like more than people you do like so
Who's really losing like for what too like what you doing this for and plus sidenote
i'ma just insert this real quick, if you know your friend is fake, and you don't like them cuz they're fake
But you still continue to hang out with them and treat them like your friend even though you know they're fake, and they know they're fake
You're fake too, both of y'all fake, and you're just having this energy of fakeness and everyone around you
is starting to look at you and be like hmm. What's going on there?
I thought they didn't like each other why're they hanging out everyone is doing that just so you know, it's it's
Not the greatest for you, but you know you do you boo boo i ain't gon judge yes i will
But if you like if you like to hang out with someone, but then after a while you don't like to hang out with them
They're getting on your nerves. You can easily just stop talking to them
I'll hang out people for a couple weeks, and I'll be like hmm
And it's not a pinpoint reason why i don't like them anymore they just we just we just not vibin anymore
I'm just not feeling this friendship
so the i'll just stop hanging out with them as much because
There's no need for me to continue hang out them and then just talk about them to other people does that don't make no sense
So to sum it all up being a fake friend is a waste of time Yolo. You only live once so
There's no need to spend it with people you don't like you're wasting time spending time with fake friends, and you're wasting time
complaining to your real friends about your fake friends which wastes your real friends time
so
Just stop all right just stop
That's gonna wrap it up for this video guys if you liked it hit that like button down below and comment below some other things you
think about fake friends

The Biggest Sloth That Ever Lived, and 6 Other Gigantic Animals - Duration: 12:08.

Is moisturiser good for foot blisters? - Duration: 1:00.
- Hey, it's Rebecca here with this week's
60 second blister tip. (light acoustic music)
And today I'm answering the question,
is it a good idea to moisturize my feet?
Well, it is overall,
but just before you go for a run,
or a hike, or whatever it is you're doing,
no it's actually not a good idea.
Now, I understand that as soon as
you put the moisturizing cream on,
it's kinda nice and slippery,
and that's good because that means
a lower friction level.
But what happens very soon after that,
is it actually gets kinda tacky and sticky, doesn't it?
So that means an increased friction level.
And that means there's going to be
more stretching within your skin.
And that means there's going to be
more likelihood of blisters.
So, by all means, put moisturizer on a few days beforehand,
but I definitely wouldn't do it the day of,
or maybe even the day before.
