Welcome my friend
for a video on the build of this truck
1/24 "Scania Black Amber" from ITALERI
First
I wanted to apologize for the delay in editing the video
delay due to health problems beyond my control
sorry if my hands are shaking and my voice is wrong
I confess that I have advanced a bit in the work
for the moment I am quite disappointed by the quality of the kit
the adjustments are very average :(
lack of plastic on some sprue
I may have come across a bad box...
but may be not...
if you look at the instructions
there is no color instruction
the only color shown is "F"
for all these steps
and these
and these
the engine also "F"
the only thing that differs is the turbo
and the pipes
and the two silver junctions
so far everything is the same color (F)
F is the color code for Flat black
all chassis, engine, and suspension parts are flat black without one or two little thing...
honestly it's UGLY
it's dull :(
so I made my way
sorry the build was not filmed
(because of my health problems)
as you can see I made the chassis in black
I put a little bit of reflection with gun metal powder
I recolored all the bolts with silver vallejo
and I painted the motor with different colors from AK interactiv
there are nuances with semi gloss - matte - polished aluminium...
some silver from vallejo
I also put some gun metal on radiator
a little dry brush (gun metal)
not easy to film (big model)
all in Flat black it was sad...
even if all this will not be visible at the end
there is also something that I hate too
it's the linkage system you have to melt
it is not very reliable
we can turn the wheels in one direction but not in the other
anyway all this will be seen very little at the end
so I'm at the rims stage
the rims are in two parts and the chrome is disgusting
I removed the chrome with glanzer (floor remover with ammonia)
removing the chrome I could see the poor quality of the pieces
"sorry"
on some pieces it lacks the material some other have "flash"
I tried to recover all this, then went from the primer
then gloss black base (alclad)
here is where I am at the moment
this rim is not too bad
I had to remove a lot of plastic on this one
and on this one
I recovered the lack of plastic and it is seen less now
another problem is that when we look at the pictures
if we look good
here the rim is black
with chrome bolts
and at the back there is a chrome & Amber strapping
on the other hand if you look at the top
it's not the same thing
the colors are different
so what choice to make?
I do not know
I'm going to think about that, but it's hard to choose
everything depends on the quality of chrome that I could do
is that once the paint chrome put that we will see if it is beautiful
here it is
let's go for the masking
we find ourselves for the rims, it's not easy
I did a test with liquid chrom "molotov"
with brush
it's ugly...
ugly, ugly and ugly...
we see the brush marks
it's all disgusting
so we can forget the brush with the liquid chrome
so we have to use masking
I tried with Vallejo masking fluid
but it's too thick
not enough finesse in setting up even with a small brush
the masking tape is not even worth thinking about on a circular surface
so we will try the microMASK
but the problem is the color
dark blue
with black
it's hard to see where we put it
I can not do the opposite and put the mask on the chrome
because the chrome will not support the masking
and will become dull
so I tried that
it's hard to see where we put it on the black
it will be the discovery during the unmasking
first question, is the masking put in the right place?
and second question, will liquid chrome support water ?
can it all tarnish with water?
if so I would find another solution or other rim color
let's go
I prepare airbrush and find ourselves
then the returns ...
two things
the first is that liquid chrome is very well with airbrush
for chrome effect you need a wet layer
unlike AK metal paints that require a thin layer
works very well
secondly, this is not compatible with water
as soon as I put in the water to remove the Micro Mask it became dull
so back to square one
but this time, I did not assemble the parts of the rims
because I will do otherwise
I will make each piece of different color
the strapping will be amber because the chome does not support the slightest manipulation
I just spent the primer
7, 2 for the front, 4 for the rear and the rescue wheel
I'm waiting for it to dry
these parts will be Gloss black
I will use gloss black "ZP" so that there will be no difference in paint brand
black ZP for center and Amber ZP for strapping
we meet again for painting
always use a protective mask with ZP paints
with the ventilation you will not hear me ... go ... music, we'll meet later
this is finished, result quite good
I will recover what is left of painting
sorry I made my sting
I put this to dry and we look at it but it seems a very beautiful color
the lighting is bad here, we find ourselves later
Here is the result
result with the center of the black rim
not bad but I can do better
so I had another idea that I will explain later
for the moment I will give a little more "gloss" effect to all this
I will not show you another airbrush session
after I explain to you my idea for chrome
I put gauzy agent (AK) with airbrush, good result
so I'm going to test my little idea but just on 2 rings
I will explain as I go
I will try ...
on a perfectly flat surface
to fill
the circles with maskol
I do not like this product because it stinks
there is urea in it so it smells like piss
no other word
but as I have it in stock, and that my idea is likely to consume a little product
I prefer to make my test with this maskol rather than with masking fluid vallejo
I will try to fill my circles like pies
to get a horizontal level
so once the chrome paint done, it will remain to "unmold"
finally, in theory ...
I'll start with waterproofing the bottom
because if I pour directly, it will flow I'm almost sure
so firstly waterproofing
I'm going slowly
and now the second
super, you see nothing because I leave in zoom
I hope that the other camera will have shown you the beginning
arggg no bullshit, no bullshit
I hope I have a clean masking
let it dry
welcome back
I did well to make an under layer because it's gone from below
I take advantage of it to put on the outside
as it is well glued and waterproof
so, we'll go with a syringe
no idea of the result ....
I will fill
hoping to have a horizontal limit
so... ?? capillarity...??
yes it's seem to be good
slowly drip
to have the desired level
one or two more
slowly
that's where I do bullshit ...
a little more
here it is....
Yyyyoooppp
I will leave like this
it's not too bad, there will be just a little chrome strapping
the same on the other
right in.... wowww..
a little drop anyway we never know
don't toutch
I would never have better
especially do not move the desk
and pray for it to work
it will take some time to dry
see you when it's dry
no idea how long it will take
drying time, about twenty two hours
it's retracted
not sure of being horizontal
I am not talented
I also prepared the front hub covers
just some X-1 Tamiya (acrylic)
let's go with Liquid Chrome
wet layer
I do not know if I would let dry or not
I'm afraid it will crack if it's too dry
I hesitate
I totally improvise
no idea of the result
Am I not going to rip everything off?
arrrggg
I plant the rubber pies on a clamp
I hope..., when the chrome done...
I would catch the circle from below and I would draw the masking
without touching the upper part (chrome)
*** many troubles, questions and doubts ***
maybe good, maybe ugly... no idea...
you will see it, live with me
1,1 bar = 15-17 Psi
sorry I'll put the ventilation
and the lighting will become blue with the LEDs
let's go
you will have to undergo music
thick and wet layer
the chrome is very good
it's the disorder
I will wait ... I do not even know...
I do not know, I do not know, I do not know ...
Let's go, I'm going to test
it's live
the second
not bad
now let it dry
I have the impression that the result is good
I will turn on the other camera
do not touch it !! while waiting
see it's not bad
here is the result,
my idea was not so bad ...
look at the chrome does not support the slightest touch
see you latter
the trick now is to assemble them
i can't touch it....
otherwise at the slightest touch the tarnished chrome
haaaaa bullshit
I'm just going to drop the piece
now no question to ask ... use of cyano glue
very carrefully
one drop here
here
here
here
sorry I do not pay much attention to the angle of view
sorry
I spread a little glue
I have on the glove, it's not a good idea
arrrgggggg F ***....
I let this rim dry
I'm trying to show you this closer
a lot of work for that
see you immediately for the tires
I take this opportunity to show you the front tires
it could be another story to put the hubcap .... :(
too many work for all rim, in any case it will not be seen
the rescue wheel
the rear inner wheels
try not to damage the chrome plating
it is not won
in this sense
Do not Touch... Do not Touch
what am I going to fuck with that...
here it is !!
waaaoowww
haa... I lost the camera from above
I do the second and we meet again after
the wheels are finished
just a shot of chrome on the center bolts (touch it)
here is the Final result
pretty proud of me, it's been many days of work
this will conclude this video
video which, in my opinion, is already very very long
but with all the work I wanted to show you everything
hope, you enjoy
if you liked, do not hesitate to put a thumb up
otherwise, and well, too bad
See you later TCHAO everybody
