Westworld S2E01 Explained - Duration: 13:17.Westworld Season 2 Episode 1 – what happens, and what does it mean?
We see Bernard during the massacre that Dolores started last season.
The host Rebus is shooting at a guest, just like the guests had been shooting at him.
With Dolores' robot rebellion, hosts are getting bloody revenge on humanity.
Bernard is hiding with Charlotte, and some guests from the Delos corporate board.
A friendly stable boy host comes in, and the guests kill him because they don't trust
any robot . Bernard is a robot, so he'll have to keep that secret to stay safe around
humans.
On the way to an outpost, the guests are killed by Angela and the masked men, who are working
for Dolores in her role as the villain Wyatt.
Charlotte and Bernard escape to a secret Delos lab, where drone hosts are working on… something.
There were hints last season that Delos has a "secret project" in Westworld . Apparently,
this involves recording Westworld "guests' experiences and their DNA" . That kind of
data would be valuable.
Rich and powerful people come to Westworld , and if Delos has video footage of them killing
and fucking in the park, they could blackmail powerful people for political influence – like
some kinda pee tape situation . And with guest DNA, Delos could clone people.
The 1976 Westworld sequel Futureworld has Delos replacing world leaders with robot clones.
So maybe Delos plans to use this data and DNA to blackmail and replace people to…
y'know, take over the world.
Charlotte asks Delos to come rescue them from the robots, but Delos refuses until Charlotte
delivers Peter Abernathy . Last season, Charlotte loaded Peter's brain with important data
– maybe it's this experience and DNA data.
Charlotte tried to smuggle Pete to Delos, but he didn't make it.
So now, Charlotte needs to find Abernathy and get him to Delos, so that Charlotte can
escape and Delos can advance their plan.
But maybe Dolores will get involved here – because Abernathy is her host father.
We see inside a host's head, and their brain is like an egg or pearl thing.
Inside that is some red juice, which might relate to this red nano stuff we saw in the
trailer.
Bernard's having problems with his brain – probably because he shot himself last
season.
His cortical shield is damaged , so he's leaking brain fluid out his ear.
He's shaking, and confused, and nearly dies, until he takes brain fluid from another host
and injects it to himself, like some kind of robot vampire.
This is probably just a temporary fix – maybe he needs the help of Elsie for repairs.
Earlier in the episode, we see Bernard wake up on a beach with Delos forces Karl Strand,
Antoine and Maling.
This stuff actually happens two weeks after the bits with Charlotte and Dolores' massacre.
Bernard is "unstuck in time" , and has flashbacks of stuff that may have happened
over the last couple weeks – future episodes might fill in these blanks.
Strand's men are mopping up after Dolores' uprising.
They execute hosts , which disturbs Bernard.
He's sympathetic to his fellow robots.
And yet here he is helping the humans.
So Bernard feels deeply "conflicted" . Strand talks to some Chinese military guys, and says
"[their] country" has given Delos control over "this … island" . This seems to
confirm that Westworld is an island on Earth, probably near China.
The Finnish subtitles of the Season 1 finale give coordinates to a place in the South China
Sea called Mischief Reef , where in the real world China is building artificial islands
. So this seems to be the true location of Westworld.
Stubbs turns up, which is mysterious, cause last we saw him, he was captured by hosts
from Ghost Nation.
How did he escape?
What did Ghost Nation want?
Why is no one talking about Stubbs' disappearance?
It seems suspicious.
Bernard goes with Strand to look for missing hosts.
They find a Bengal tiger, wandered across from Park 6 . Park 1 is Westworld, and Shogun
World seems to be Park 2 – so what's Park 6?
Well Bengal tigers are from India.
And a Reddit user found a hidden image on a Westworld site that says Rajworld , maybe
meaning the Rajasthan region of India.
So maybe Park 6 is an Indian themed park – with tigers.
Strand tracks the hosts to a place called Western Valley . And they find the Valley
has inexplicably changed to a sea.
Ford had used terraforming technology to shape the land in Westworld, but Stubbs says they
would've noticed if Ford had made this sea while he was alive . And the water is full
of hosts, including what looks like Teddy.
Bernard says that he killed all these hosts . But how would Bernard do that, and why?
This might connect to Dolores.
At the start of the episode, we see Dolores with Arnold – the human from thirty years
ago who robot Bernard is based on.
Or maybe this is just Bernard in a vision or something.
Either way BernArnold tells her he had dream he was "on an ocean", and Dolores had
"left [him] behind", and "the waters were rising around [him]" – which sounds
like this flooded valley.
BernArnold says he's "frightened of what [Dolores] might become" . And in this episode,
Dolores becomes an anime supervillain.
She guns down fleeing people, slowly executes random humans, and gives a speech about the
"reckoning" . She dehumanises her human victims the same way humans dehumanised hosts,
calling them "things" , with "drive"s and "cornerstone"s.
Dolores says she feels conflicted between different roles – she has the optimism and
compassion of Dolores, but also the cynicism and brutality of Wyatt.
Wyatt was a bad guy character who Arnold merged with Dolores thirty years ago.
Dolores wants to reject the Wyatt and Dolores roles, and evolve into a new person . But
so far, Dolores is mostly just acting like Wyatt.
She's murdering random people, working with Angela and the masked men, and talks about
taking over the world . Wyatt was the same.
He wanted to "claim this earth or raze it to the ground" . So is Dolores truly free,
or is she still following her programming as Wyatt?
Dolores says she remembers everything, and that she has a special destiny with Teddy
. How does that connect to Teddy's drowning in the valley?
We see Dolores kill a host, and say "not all of us deserve to make it to the valley
beyond" . The stable boy mentions riding for "the valley beyond" . And Rebus mentions
"the journey" . Is Dolores leading the hosts on a "journey" to the flooded "valley"?
Is this part of the Wyatt storyline?
Wyatt seems like a Colonel Kurtz culty kinda cunt – he's got "strange ideas", "Forces
his men to wear the … flesh of their enemies", and his followers "do anything for him"
. Maybe Dolores is planning a mass death Jonestown thing in the flooded valley.
Dolores says it ends with Teddy, and Teddy's surname is Flood.
The flood could connect to the Biblical flood, where God wipes out humanity for being unworthy
– like how Dolores is killing unworthy humans.
But why would Dolores kill all these hosts?
Showrunner Jonathon Nolan says host "brains don't require oxygen" – so can hosts
even drown?
Are these hosts really dead?
The flooding of the valley is very mysterious.
But it seems connected to Dolores and Wyatt and Teddy and Bernard.
William, the Man in Black, emerges from corpses.
He looks at that wolf that keeps turning up at massacres.
This wolf is one of the most baffling mysteries in Westworld, no one knows what it means.
Is it a symbol of death, consciousness, humanity?
Or just a cute doggo that likes dead people?
Maybe we'll find out later on.
William heads to a safehouse, and ends up in a brutal fight with some hosts.
He kills them with gun and knife, then treats his wound, grunting and bleeding, then – he
smiles.
Cause this violence and pain is what William wants.
He calls it "fun" . He's almost like a darker version of Saitama in One Punch Man
– someone who has power and freedom but no purpose, so uses violence to distract himself
from existential boredom . Westworld is set in the future – maybe as technology and
prosperity make modern life easier , people lose the conflict and struggle that gives
life meaning.
So William seeks ever more challenge and violence . He meets Robert, the robot version of a
young Robert Ford.
And Robert speaks to William with Ford's voice, congratulating him for finishing the
Maze goose chase last season, and giving him a new quest – to "find the door".
To "make it back out".
Does this mean for William to escape the Westworld park?
Or is it more metaphorical?
Robert says "The game begins where you end … and ends where you began" , so maybe
William will go back to his past with Dolores, and Logan.
Robert says "Everything is code here" – code because people speak in cryptic metaphor,
and because hosts are programmed with computer code – which reflects the connection between
secrets and control in this show.
And then William shoots the kid on the face, because– Westworld, and also to show that
Robert Ford is finally truly dead.
There's no robot decoy, no horcrux, no senzu bean.
Ford's gone for good – at least until HBO gets Hopkins back for some flashbacks.
In the Mesa Hub, Sizemore is attacked by a host that he designed back in Season 1.
He's terrorised by lines that he wrote.
He's saved by Maeve who has the power to control other hosts.
They find the park control room's been wiped out – though it's not clear who did this.
Bernard's flashback suggests that we'll learn more.
Maeve recruits Sizemore to help her find her daughter . Sizemore says Maeve's daughter
isn't real – she's just a robot that was programmed to be her daughter . Maeve
argues that she is artificial, but she still has thoughts and feelings and the power to
splatter Sizemore on the walls . This argument over realness connects back to Dolores and
BernArnold's conversation, and the idea that something is "real" when it's "irreplaceable"
– like, the robots of Westworld can be rebuilt and replaced, whereas a human is unique.
The irony is that Bernard is a robot replacement of Arnold.
There are whole closets full of spare Bernards – so is Bernard not real?
And since Arnold was replaced – was Arnold not real?
The technology of Westworld breaks down the line between real and not-real.
As far as Maeve cares, she loves her daughter, so she goes to find her.
Let's hope she doesn't find a closet full of daughters, cause that sorta philosophy
quandary could really ruin a reunion.
On the rooftop, Maeve reunites with Hector, who was her sidekick in the rebellion last
season.
Hector doesn't care that Maeve left him for dead, he's just happy to follow her.
So there's a sort of romance between Maeve and Hector, but is Hector acting of his own
free will?
Maeve has the power to control other hosts – and she fiddled with Hector's programming.
So is Hector's loyalty real?
How is any relationship real if you can control the people around you?
How might this affect Maeve's relationship with her daughter?
Maeve makes Sizemore strip naked – just like the Westworld techs strip hosts naked
. Like Rebus and Dolores, Maeve is making humans suffer the same way humans made hosts
suffer.
And there is a sort of justice to that.
But last season, there was hope that the hosts would choose to be better and nobler than
humanity . Doesn't killing and hurting make them just as bad as us?
This season explores "the birth of a new people.
And the choices they … make".
What choices will Dolores, Maeve and Bernard make to shape the destiny of this new robot
people?
In Season 1, Ford compares robot-human war to the conflict between humans and Neanderthals
forty thousand years ago . This is a story told in Sapiens, by Yuval Harari.

EFFECT or AFFECT? 🤔 English Mistakes that Native Speakers Make too!! - Duration: 9:14.Hello, I'm Emma from mmmEnglish!
If you're new, welcome to my English learning channel!
If you've been watching for a while and you haven't subscribed yet,
go ahead and do it!
All you need to do is click the red button down there
to keep up to date with all of my lessons here.
This lesson today is one that I wanted to make for you
and that I needed to make for me!
And many of the other native English speakers out there
who mess up these words!
the difference between the word 'effect' and 'affect'.
They sound almost exactly the same when
they're spoken naturally effect and effect in both words the stress is on
the second syllable so the unstressed syllable at the start of each word it
sounds pretty similar even though they're different vowel letters so it's
not easy to hear the difference between them when you're listening if I say
effect and effect you can hear the difference but that's not how these
words are spoken naturally and the meaning of these words is also very
similar they both talk about something changing another thing but they are
different types of words effect is usually a noun and effect is usually a
verb now I say usually because there are times when effect is a noun and affect
is a verb but most of the time you'll see effect as a noun and effect as a
verb see how confusing these two little words are for us
say us because these two words even confuse me sometimes I make this mistake
too and many native English speakers make this mistake many many of them and
much much more often than you think and much more often than they think as
well so this video is important for all of us I can tell you with a decent
amount of confidence that at least half of the native English speakers that I
know sometimes make this mistake by accident but it's really really common
in emails so let's go over all of this together now starting with effect the
verb the verb effect means to change something to influence something or to
impact on something so try to remember that the a in effect stands for action
so it needs to be a verb long flights can affect your blood circulation the
weather affected the outcome of the football match her illness will affect
her examination results so in all of these examples affect is a verb effect
is a synonym of change and influence so one thing is changing or influencing
another thing my savings so that's the money that I save my savings affect
where I travel when I have a lot of savings I go abroad for my holidays when
I don't have a lot of savings I go on short trips near my home often to visit
friends the amount of money that I have saved influences where I go for my
holidays okay now effect the noun so this is the experience of the action the
result of the change warm weather
always has a positive effect on my mood the community felt the effects of the
financial crisis have you noticed any effects since you changed your diet in
all of these examples effect is a noun and you can see that it's a noun from
the structure in these sentences effect is a synonym of
result or consequence if something affects you you will feel the effect of
the change okay compare these two sentences the storm affected the local
community the action happened to the community the community saw the effects
of the tropical storm the community saw the result of the storm but as usual the
English language would not make it so simple for you would it be aware that
effect is also sometimes used as a verb particularly in fixed expressions such
as to affect change so in this expression effect is actually a verb and
it means to produce something or to cause something the government needs to
affect change or else the community will lose confidence in them to lead now it's
unusual or less common for effect to be a verb but it's possible
it does happen particularly in fixed expressions like this but try not to get
too stuck on this okay these words can be hard to tame for all of us so
remember that most of the time affect is a verb a for action and effect is a noun
most of the time although these words are tricky to master I hope that I've
given you a couple of helpful tips to improve your grammar when you're writing
whether you're learning English as a second language or if you're a native
English speaker who needs to brush up on some of that grammar it's easy to get
complacent before we finish I've got a few
questions that you can practice with I want you to choose whether effect or
effect is the correct word in these sentences starting here some of the
effects of this medication are sleep loss and headaches is it affect or
affect affect the effects the article tells us that it must be and now will
the new rules affect us to affect or affect affect the structure of the
sentence tells us that it must be a verb I hope the weather doesn't affect your
plans today I'll be going to the beach
effect again the structure of the sentence is telling us that we need a
verb will create a greater effect if we call a strike and don't go to work
tomorrow effect or affect its effect a greater effect so the article tells us
that it must be a noun how did you go make sure that you

Philando, lost his life. Take me to that day.
DIAMOND REYNOLDS: It was just- That day he had woke up early,
six o'clock in the morning, got ready for work.
Um, when he normally gets out the bed,
I can feel him move 'cause we sleep so close together,
skin-to-skin, and when he got out the bed, I instantly popped up,
you know, like, okay, what you got planned for today,
because I was supposed to get my hair done and
he was supposed to get his hair done.
IYANLA: Just normal everyday life stuff. (chuckles)
DIAMOND: Yeah. Just normal stuff. Yeah.
Well, this particular day, after he got ready for work, he left out.
He grabbed his firearm out the lock box 'cause--
IYANLA: Okay. So, tell me why he had a firearm.
DIAMOND: We lived in a very high crime area.
The neighborhood was like drugs, prostitution, soliciting.
Everything that you could imagine was happening on this block that we lived on.
And he's from a neighborhood where people will rob you
if they see you with a nice chain on.
If they see you goin' to the ATM, they'll try to stick you up.
So it was for protection of hisself and then me and my daughter.
-Where was your mother?
-She was in Indiana at the time. My mom just recently
moved back after Phil passed away.
-No, Phil didn't pass away.
-Well, when Phil was taken away.
People reached out to my mom and let—
-Is that what it was? Was he taken away?
-He was murdered.
-Okay.
-He was murdered.
-Can you sit in that?
-No, 'cause I don't put "Rest In Peace" in front (voice breaks) of his name.
-Why not?
-Because I don't want to believe that he's gone.
-How long has it been now?
-Almost a year and a half.
-Yeah.
-Four hundred and (voice breaks) sixty-eight days.
-(overlapping) But- but, did you say four hundred and sixty-eight days?
Do you count them? You count the days. Why?
-Because he was with me seven days a week,
three hundred and sixty-five days out the year.

Mueller Discovers Hillary & Russians Placed Famous Traitor In Trump's Campaign - Duration: 7:58.Mueller Discovers Hillary & Russians Placed Famous Traitor In Trump's Campaign
Special Counsel Robert Mueller got the shock of his career when his investigation uncovered
the real Russian collusion, and there was no way he could cover it up.
Using the FBI to do his search and seizures at different locations, the FBI agents found
Hillary Clinton and Russian spies had placed a very well-known name in politics who was
a traitor so high-up in President Donald Trump's campaign, it will blow your mind.President
Donald Trump has known for some time the information we are all just putting together.
He is aware that Special Counsel Robert Mueller has reached a point where he can no longer
cover up the immense crimes that occurred during the 2016 presidential election.
Remember, the premise of Mueller's investigation was to prove Donald Trump and the Russians
colluded together — first in the hacking of the Democratic National Committee servers,
and then using the emails they found on the servers to degrade and embarrass Hillary Clinton,
to win the election.
Instead of finding evidence of Trump working with the Russians, when Mueller raided Paul
Manafort's home thinking that's where he'd find the smoking gun, he found evidence
that Manafort was working for the Russians and Hillary.
Now, this is truly a bombshell, so just take a minute and let that sink in.
Robert Mueller didn't know what he had on Paul Manafort at first, it is just in the
last 10 days or so that other information has come to light tying this all together.
Manafort is good friends and worked with John Podesta's (Hillary Clinton's campaign
manager) brother Tony Podesta.
Manafort also has ties to pro-Russian operations in Ukraine.
Manafort's ties were supposed to be the "smoking gun" proving Trump as the one
colluding with the Russians.
Whoever recommended Manafort as the man Trump needed to hire to work on his campaign is
also guilty of setting Trump up.
The Democrats and Trump haters kept making a huge deal out of Don Trump Jr.'s meeting
with the Russian lawyer named Natalia Veselnitskaya.
The meeting was part of the "set-up" by the deep state, Hillary Clinton, Barack Obama,
and the Russians to make Trump look guilty of colluding with the Russians.
How do we know?
Natalia Veselnitskaya did not set up the meeting with Trump, Jr.
No, that was done by Aras and Amin Agalorov, a billionaire Russian father-son duo, who
befriended Trump during the 2013 Miss Universe contest held in Russia.
The son is apparently a famous singer in Russia and was an entertainer at the pageant.
According to emails provided by Don Jr., he was contacted by the father-son duo who he
knew from the pageant.
They told him that they had "some dirt" on Hillary Clinton and asked if they could
meet with him.
Don Jr. thought, "OK why not?"
Now, instead of these billionaires showing up for the meeting, Don Jr. is taken aback
when Natalia Veselnitskaya walks into his office, someone he does not know.
Natalia Veselnitskaya is a Russian operative who was working for Fusion GPS, the firm Hillary
Clinton hired to dig up dirt on Donald Trump and helped assemble the "Steele" or "Russian"
dossier.
She was sent into Trump Tower to meet with Don Jr. in a sting operation.
Now, tying this all together, only two days ago does an article come out telling us what
Mueller's raid was looking for at Manafort's home.
"The documents show that when federal investigators raided Manafort's home, they were looking
for 'communication, records, documents and other files' surrounding the June 2016 Trump
Tower meeting.
They were also looking for any communication with 'Aras and Amin Agalorov,' a billionaire
Russian father-son duo with ties to President Trump stemming from the 2013 Miss Universe
pageant."
[Source: Washington Examiner] Now, it's looking like Manafort was "in"
on setting up the meeting, right?
Why would Manafort be communicating with these Russian billionaires in the entertainment
industry?
These were acquaintances of Trump, not Manafort.
Real Clear Politics reports back in October 2017, "FOX News' Tucker Carlson said he
has a source who told him that the Podesta brothers and Paul Manafort are the 'central
figures' Robert Mueller's investigation, not President Trump.
The source, Carlson said, told him about events that implicate Manafort, the Podesta brothers,
Hillary Clinton and her State Department, and Russian oligarchs.
The source has been interviewed by Mueller's independent investigators."Look, Mueller
and his team were attempting to back-up the case that Trump had colluded with the Russians
and this Don Jr. meeting was their smoking gun, but it backfired.
They couldn't hide the incriminating evidence they seized against Manafort as the traitor
inside the Trump campaign.
Too many FBI agents would have gotten a look at all the evidence.
But Mueller was still hellbent on getting Trump.
He turned his investigation toward Trump's attorney Micheal Cohen.
Supposedly, Mueller was sure Cohen had taken a six-figure payment from a Ukrainian steel
tycoon Victor Pinchuk in 2015 for then-candidate Trump who did a video conference for Pinchuk
in exchange for the money.
Folks, this was another "set-up" by the deep state, like the Natalia Veselnitskaya
meeting.
So Pinchuk, who Trump has never met, tells him, "Hey I'll pay you 150,000 dollar
speaking fee to do a video conference."
Sounds good to Trump, why not?
So who is Victor Pinchuk?
"The Clintons have repeatedly jetted to his Black Sea resort to attend his galas.
They've also accepted between $10 million and $25 million from his foundation for the
Clinton Foundation, according to the group's website.
Hillary Clinton rewarded him frequent access to the Department of State while she was secretary.
Pinchuk also was tied to allegedly illegal sales to Iran while Hillary headed the State
Department," reports the Daily Caller.
Total set up of Trump, right?
Here's the kicker, get ready for AG Jeff Sessions to finally show some killer instinct.
Remember, Sessions is "recused" from anything that has to do with "Trump and Russian collusion."
"Attorney General Jeff Sessions will not recuse himself from the ongoing investigation
into President Donald Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen," according to a new report.
Sessions, who previously recused himself from the special counsel probe into Russian interference
in the 2016 election, has no plans to do the same for the criminal investigation of Trump's
longtime personal lawyer, whose home, office, and hotel room were raided by the FBI a few
weeks back, according to Bloomberg.
What?
Yep, so what does that tell us?
This Cohen investigation, where they raided everything the guy had, has nothing to do
with Trump and Russian collusion or Sessions couldn't get near it, thus this Pinchuk
nonsense didn't pan out, either.
In the last 24-48 hours, the Russian rat Natalia Veselnitskaya is freaking out.
She's screaming that Fusion GPS was "set-up" and did nothing wrong.
She's feeling the heat.
Enter Rudy Guiliani, hired by Trump to "help Mueller" wrap this up.
The question remains: Who advised Donald Trump to hire Paul Manafort?
We'll get our answer in the weeks to come, but some heads better roll or there will be
a cry of outrage from the American people the likes the swamp has never seen or heard.

Avengers Infinity War POST-CREDITS SCENE Explained, Easter Eggs + AVENGERS 4 Theory - Duration: 8:24.Avengers: Infinity War is a game-changer for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and the movie's
post-credits scene is crucial to a complete understanding of its cliffhanger ending.
Yippee-ki-yay, movie lovers, it's Jan here and today I'm breaking down the end-credits
scene to reveal what it means, easter eggs and how it sets up Avengers 4.
I'm also kicking off a new Avengers giveaway, so make sure you're a subscriber and leave
a comment about the movie to enter.
As you'd expect, spoilers ahead for Avengers: Infinity War.
The post-credits scene starts with Nick Fury and Maria Hill driving through New York.
Fury asks Hill if there's any word from Tony Stark, but although Hill is monitoring satellites
worldwide, she's not picking anything up as Stark's on Titan.
Hill does get a signal though for multiple unidentified crafts over Wakanda that have
an energy signature 10 times those seen during the Chitauri invasion of New York.
Fury then mentions a name which sounds like Klein or Clint but he gets cut off as a car
swerves out of control in front of them.
As Hill and Fury check the car that crashed, they find the driver's seat is empty because
the driver has disintegrated.
A helicopter then smashes into a Manhattan skyscraper, again because the pilot has vanished;
and Fury tells Hill to "Call Control.
Code Red."
But Maria Hill starts to fade into ash and people in the street also start to disappear.
Fury runs to his car, grabs a device and as he activates it, he also starts to evaporate
into dust.
The device falls to the ground but blinks a message "Sending" for a few seconds before
coming up with Captain Marvel's emblem.
So, this is a pretty crucial scene as it shows the Snap event that Thanos initiated is already
happening on a global level.
At the end of the movie, we saw the Snap wipe out around half of the heroes assembled in
Wakanda and on Titan, but this extra scene shows that it's now a wider event with Thanos
fulfilling his goal of wiping out half of all living beings in the cosmos.
This is a pretty desperate situation and, on the surface, it seems a rather bleak ending
to the movie, however, that final shot of Captain Marvel's logo brings a much-needed
ray of hope.
The introduction of Captain Marvel will be essential to how our surviving heroes will
try to take down Thanos in Avengers 4.
Marvel Studios head honcho Kevin Feige has said that Captain Marvel will be the most
"powerful […] character [that Marvel] has ever put in a movie.
Her powers are off the charts, and when she's introduced, she will be by far the strongest
character we've ever had."
Before she arrives in Avengers 4 though, Captain Marvel, played by Brie Larson, will be debuting
as Carol Danvers in her own solo movie where we'll get to see exactly why she's so important
in the MCU.
Danvers first appeared in Marvel Comics in 1968 and obtained her powers when during an
accident her DNA bonded with that of Mar-vell, a Kree alien.
Carol Danvers has an incredible variety of powers ranging from superhuman strength, to
space flight, plus energy absorption and projection among others.
Brie Larson has said that Captain Marvel is "a believer in truth and justice and she is
a bridge […] between Earth and Space".
And that means she's key to fixing the ending of Avengers: Infinity War where there are
just two surviving groups of heroes.
In Wakanda, we've got Captain America, Black Widow, Bruce Banner, War Machine, Rocket Racoon,
Okoye and M'Baku and on Titan there's just Iron Man and Nebula.
As for Shuri, Wong and Pepper Potts, their fate during the snap event is, for the moment,
unknown.
For Avengers 4, the heroes who are separated will need to band together and I can see that
Carol Danvers being a bridge between Earth and Space could be able to make this happen.
By the way, it's interesting that the movie begins and ends with a distress signal: at
the start, it was the Asgardians under attack from Thanos, and now, it's Fury to Captain
Marvel.
Regards to Nick Fury, it's obviously pretty heart-breaking to see both him and Maria Hill
just fade to ash in this scene, but it's a really striking way of showing the universal
and devastating effect of Thanos's snap.
That moment is made even more poignant coming, as it does, in a film that celebrates the
tenth anniversary of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, because, after all, it was Nick
Fury who appeared in the very first Marvel Studios post-credits scene at the end of Iron
Man.
"'I am Iron Man.'
You think you're the only superhero in the world?"
"Mr. Stark, you've become part of a bigger universe."
"You just don't know it yet."
"Who the hell are you?"
"Nick Fury, Director of S.H.I.E.L.D."
"Ah."
"I'm here to talk to you about the Avenger Initiative."
Actor Samuel L. Jackson has been cast in the Captain Marvel movie which will also explore
Fury's origins and very likely what led him to the Avenger Initiative.
It's set in the 1990s where we'll meet Nick Fury at a time before he lost an eye.
Talking about Fury's role in the film, Kevin Feige has said that Fury "has reached a point
in his career where he thought the Cold War is over and the best days are behind him.
And when he encounters certain things in this movie, it sets him on a path that leads us
to where we are 19 films later."
Looking at the device Fury used to contact Danvers, I thought it seemed a bit dated in
terms of tech, which made me suspect it may have been designed in the 90s and so it's
quite possible we'll see it in the Captain Marvel movie.
Another possible hat-tip in the post-credits scene is to a moment in Captain America: The
Winter Soldier.
Spoiler ahead if you haven't seen The Winter Soldier.
In that movie, Fury had to silently spell out a message to Steve Rogers to let him know
that SHIELD had been compromised.
In both films, Fury is warning another superhero of a threat and, just as he does, the former
SHIELD director is killed.
Or at least, he appeared to die in The Winter Soldier, because later it's revealed that
the death was a fake-out.
And I suspect that Fury's death in this post-credits scene could well be reversed in Avengers 4.
Something that will need to be addressed in the Captain Marvel movie is why Nick Fury
never contacted Carol Danvers until now for help.
After all, there have been some global-threat-level events, like the Chitauri invasion of New
York in the first Avengers film, and then there were the events in Sokovia in Age of
Ultron.
It's possible that, as serious as those incidents were, Fury felt comfortable enough that the
Avengers could contain those threats.
However, in Infinity War, the threat is clearly massively larger with Maria Hill saying the
energy signatures of the invaders over Wakanda were 10 times bigger than those recorded during
the Battle of New York.
With Tony Stark unavailable and people literally vanishing around Fury, it's likely that all
this is why Fury hit that Captain Marvel distress call now.
By the way, Nick Fury's "MotherF.." was, of course, a joke about Samuel L. Jackson's signature
curse word and him finally getting to almost say it in the MCU, but I wonder if it's also
a little wink to Age of Ultron when Fury scolds Cap about his language?
"She's dusty, but she'll do."
"Fury, you son of a bitch."
"Ooh!
You kiss your mother with that mouth?"
We also need to talk about the name Fury drops just before the car crashes in front of him
and Maria Hill.
Fury's line isn't totally clear and sounds a bit like he's saying "tell Clint" meaning
that he's trying to get in touch with Clint Barton, aka Hawkeye.
But, if you listen really carefully, he actually says "tell Klein to meet" just before he gets
cut off.
Klein refers to Cameron Klein, the former SHIELD tech who refused to launch the Insight
helicarriers in Captain America: The Winter Soldier.
Klein also had a brief cameo in Age of Ultron where Hill and Fury saved him from one of
Ultron's bots.
Interestingly, in the comics, Klein has worked alongside Captain America and his grandfather
was saved by Cap during World War Two.
And I wonder whether Klein's name drop in the post-credits means we'll see this tech
specialist reappear in Avengers 4 to help the Avengers pick up the pieces of the snap
aftermath?
Another little thing to look out for in this scene is the model of the car Hill and Fury
are driving.
Suitably enough, it's a Nissan Infiniti [QX50] which has already featured in an Infinity
War-related promo.
Now, you may still have a lot of questions about how the snap and Infinity War's cliffhanger
ending is going to be resolved, and I go into lots more detail about that in my ending explained
video.

WHOA! Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren Just Woke Up To A NIGHTMARE… SHE'S GOING DOWN!!! - Duration: 2:49.WHOA!
Elizabeth "Pocahontas" Warren Just Woke Up To A NIGHTMARE…
SHE'S GOING DOWN!!!
A self-described "real Indian" who is running against Massachusetts Democratic Senator
Elizabeth Warren is suing after city officials demanded he take down his signs calling her
a "fake Indian."
The independent Senate challenger, Shiva Ayyadurai, filed a federal lawsuit alleging his free
speech rights were violated.
Infamously described as "Pocahontas" by president Donald Trump, Elizabeth Warren has
lied for years about being of Native American heritage to secure jobs, including one as
a Harvard law professor.
She's also refused genealogy tests to prove her heritage and Ayyadurai is finally taking
her to task for it.
According to The Washington Times, since March 17, Ayyadurai's campaign bus has sported
two identical signs picturing himself and a rendition of Warren wearing Indian attire.
Emblazoned next to the images are the words: "Only a REAL INDIAN Can Defeat the Fake
Indian."
The bus has reportedly been stationed in a parking lot in front of an office building
owned by Ayyadurai for more than a month, just a mile from Warren's home.
Earlier this month, the Ayyadurai campaign received a notice from Cambridge building
inspector Branden Vigneault that the signs lacked the appropriate "approvals and permits,"
according to local reports and the Ayyadurai campaign.
Vigneault threatened fines of $300 per day plus additional legal penalties if the signs
remain in place, according to Ayyadurai.
But he's fighting back.
"We will not remove the slogan from our bus," Ayyadurai told The Washington Times.
"We will defend the First Amendment, and we will fight this egregious attack on the
First Amendment, at any cost."
Ayyadurai's campaign also said that the building code doesn't apply to the signs
because they're on a bus, not a structure.
Warren has faked being of Native American heritage for a long time, and even Cherokee
genealogists claim she's lying and casts doubts on her story of her parent's elopement.
"The problem with Warren's story is that none of the evidence supports it.
Her genealogy shows no indication of Cherokee ancestry.
Her parents' wedding doesn't resemble an elopement.
And additional evidence doesn't show any indication of her Herring grandparents being
Indian haters."
– Cherokee genealogist Twila Barnes
When asked in March whether she'd agree to calls for genetic testing to resolve the
heritage controversy, Warren launched into a family history, as purportedly told by her
parents and grandparents, before saying, "It's a part of who I am, and no one's ever going
to take that away."
Of course, Ayyadurai's campaign has problems as well, such as his long-standing claim that
he invented email.
Ayyadurai supposedly faces "long odds" at beating Warren.

How Do We Communicate With Our Inner Being and Our Loved Ones - Duration: 5:33.How Do We Communicate With Our Inner Being and Our Loved Ones
By Carole Wildman
Is it possible for us to tune in to our inner being and communicate with loved ones who
have transitioned?
We all have our own inner guidance system.
Many call it God, our higher power, higher consciousness, spirit guide and so on, yet
most acknowledge that there is something more than our physical bodies that we can
tune into and receive guidance from.
Abraham describes this as, a part of you who does exist, who is aware of you, and who
is offering a vibration that you can feel resonance with.
In this article, as in the video above, I refer to this as our inner being.
Becoming Connected When we acknowledge and know that something
is there we move closer to it, yet our doubts will keep us from it.
The way in which we are able to move closer is through our emotions.
During the course of our life, we have asked for many, many things and these things are
now in what Abraham calls our vortex.
They have been evolving for us and are ready for us; yet only to the degree that we are
ready to receive them.
As well as stuff, one of the things we may ask for is more direct communication
with our inner being.
Yet when we ask questions to which we do not know the answer, and we focus on the fact
that we do not know the answer, we are then prone to remain more on a vibration with the
question rather than the answer!
We can help ourselves to tune in and be ready to receive by becoming vibrationally prepared,
and in a receptive mode.
The easiest and fastest way to get into the receptive mode is through meditation.
Receive Dont Judge Receiving often comes to us in the form of
impulses.
When we quieten our minds through meditation then impulses may come to us.
This could be to go to a particular place for example, and if we follow through on that
impulse we can watch what happens.
Maybe we will exchange a really nice smile with someone and that could be it, or maybe
it could be more.
It is important not to pass judgement on how well you receive, or how important what you
received was.
Instead, if something occurs to you, in an attitude of faith, follow it out.
Our inner being only gives us what we are ready for
It is important not to try to be ready before we are ready.
We dont need all these things NOW.
What we need is to chill out and be resonant with our inner being who adores us.
When it is our dominant intention to feel good, then we are more and more ready, and
our inner being will find playful, wonderful ways to lead us to situations where our desires
can manifest.
We can begin to feel our invincibility, our worthiness, and our power.
Abraham assures us that if we do this receiving and following, then it will not be long before
you are able:
to acknowledge the exact correlation between your open receptive mind and the thought that
came to you, and your ability to translate that vibration into more and meatier, satisfying
thoughts.
It just gets better and better and better.
Communicating with Loved Ones who have Transitioned to Non-Physical
Often we wish to communicate with loved ones who have made their transition, but it is
important firstly that we start with something easier.
We may begin by acknowledging that our inner being exists, enjoying our quieted mind through
meditation and the feeling of nothingness and no resistance, of being at one with who
we are.
Soon we will find that anything that is important to us, we can receive, and from our loved
ones this is again often received as impulses.
Abraham assures us that we have a misunderstanding about dead people.
There arent any!
They are just more alive!
They are there for us in support and knowing and they want us to find our resonance so
we can also know that we can be or do or have anything that we choose.
No Regrets and Changing the Past When we make our transition we leave behind
all the stuff that we picked up along our physical trail and become the vibrational
equivalent of what is in our vortex.
There are no regrets about things we have done or not done.
Our inner being is always living in the now and is always looking forward from where you
are now to whats in the process of evolving.
There is no regret.
There is no looking back.
When we stand in our now, fully connected to our source, and not some separated part
of us worried about stuff, we can consider things which we have lived, and our perspective
from the whole of us and our source absolutely changes our past.
Changing the Past When we stand in the here and now in our physical
bodies and we feel sorrow in our present moment we can know that this is evidence that we
have separated from our inner being and what our inner being knows, and we are in that
moment disconnected from source.

We Tested Out Foot Peels - Do They Really Work? | Crash Test Beauties - Duration: 4:44.My feet look pretty nice.
I don't know what's about to come off of them.
[Amber] I literally shed all this.
[Catie] New skin underneath.
Wow, look at that skin.
(upbeat music)
We had some requests from some ipsters.
So we are gonna test out a possible way to
get baby soft feet with disclaimer,
if you're not a fan of feet, we are gonna get up
close and real with some today.
I made the mistake of watching a foot
peel video prior to this.
It's like the pimple popping videos,
like you just can't look away and you just have
to keep watching it until it's over.
Feet are not the worst thing ever but they're
not the best thing ever.
I'm just nervous because my feet look pretty nice.
My toes like where it rubs up against the shoe
and then my heels are kind of gross.
I am a shorty, I'm five, two so I
really enjoy wearing heels.
You can probably knock on them and they'll make a sound.
It's lavender scented.
What?
You have to leave it on your feet for an hour?
This photo though is really extreme.
I'm so glad I don't have a man.
That way he doesn't have to look at these.
I'm kind of confused.
Uh, this feels really weird.
They honestly feel so disgusting.
Like jello and saliva.
They just feel really soft like they
already feel like baby feet.
It's like my heels are a little dry.
No peeling or anything yet.
I took my shoes off, took my socks off and they still
look like the same feet with a bad pedicure.
It's a little wrinkly, that's about it.
My feet started to get really wrinkly.
The bottom of my feet is starting to have weird wrinkles.
I'm starting to question things.
Pretty much look at my day one, expecting
like some massive peelage and ugly looking dead skin by now.
Pretty much all the dry kind of rough areas
started peeling by themselves.
It doesn't look super scary.
Outside is kind of the skin before the peel
and then right here is the new skin underneath.
They started to look dry.
My foot never looks like this even if it's dry
so this joint is peeling.
Ew!
They look crusty.
I went out to get coffee with my mom,
we were sitting outside and she looked down at my feet.
[Mom] There's something wrong with it.
So she saw the top was peeling off and she
was freaking out.
Is it a burn?
You have to take it to the dermatologist.
It's a foot peel treatment.
Oh.
I felt like a human lizard.
It's working now.
It was kind of dry, looked like dandruff a little bit.
Dry, they are dry.
Maybe it's 'cause they're peeling but they're dry.
Okay, they're not really peeling.
I don't know what's happening.
It's just all coming off by itself.
I haven't had to you know, do anything by myself.
Just make sure I wear socks when other people are around me.
Looks like dinosaur scales.
You know it's real love when your hubby helps
you peel your foot.
[Husband] Oh, yeah!
I got a good one.
[Amber] Oh my gosh.
I literally shed all this.
At the end of our foot journey.
Me and my beautiful feet.
I showed y'all they did not peel.
Super easy.
There was nothing like really gross
or nothing complicated at all.
So here are my feet at the end of the process.
All that dry kind of dead, rough skin that was around
my heels and then around the balls of my feet are gone.
Kind of feels like I have new feet now.
Little bit of peeling happening.
Peeling is pretty much done.
My skin actually feels like skin again.
A little crusty.
Overall, I really thought they were
gonna peel and they didn't.
There was nothing I had to do extra to you know,
keep cleaning my feet off.
My feet were rock solid, really calloused.
Now my feet feel really nice and soft.
Wow!
I would definitely do it again.
This product would be perfect for people
that have super rough, calloused feet.
Maybe an athlete or someone whose
just always on their feet.
It feels really gross but you only have
it on for an hour and then everything happens by itself
so I would say it's worth it.
Why not?
Just try it.
(water splashing and humming)

A helicopter then smashes into a Manhattan skyscraper, again because the pilot has vanished;
and Fury tells Hill to "Call Control.
Now, you may still have a lot of questions about how the snap and Infinity War's cliffhanger
ending is going to be resolved, and I go into lots more detail about that in my ending explained
video.
I'll add a link to tap here and in the video description below as soon as that's live.
So, what are your thoughts on the end-credits scene and the Captain Marvel tease?

LIFE UPDATE: Project Light Feather - Duration: 8:28.what's up guys?! Welcome back to my channel! it's your girl Nattie Boss -
registered dietitian, fitness coach and lifestyle coach of bodybyboss.com!
Today I'm bringing you a little bit of a life update as well as a project that
I'm working on it's a personal project I'm going to do something to challenge
my fitness last time I've done something like this was when I did bodybuilding
and I really haven't done anything to challenge myself since then so that's
what I am doing and I want to tell you all about it so for those who might not
know what Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is you can kind of think of MMA and whatever they
do on the ground is most likely some form of jiu-jitsu it's a grappling
martial art and I compete a lot in jiu-jitsu and specifically I compete at
a weight class known as featherweight and this is between 120 to 129 a lot of
you guys let me know that I walk around about 125 so this is the weight class
I've been doing for many years now but recently I had a super fight and when I
weighed in at my way into the night before I noticed I was 122 which is one
of the lightest weights I've been since my bodybuilding competition so I was
kind of it kind of sparked an interest in me and I was like maybe I should try
to do light feather for one of my next tournaments because I was already so
close so light feather is the weight class right underneath feather and that
is from don't quote me on this I'm not exactly sure I know I don't know where
it starts from maybe 108 or something like that but it ends at 118 and you
have to be 118 in your uniform known as your key and so I'm going to be trying
to cut to about 115 so I have that 3 pound weight for my G so this is going
to be a big challenge I've never had to cut this much weight before especially
being already super lean so it's going to be a challenge I already know that
and I'm going to make sure I do it in the most healthful way possible and
there is nothing that is more important to me than my health and wellness
physically and mentally so if I feel that I'm really struggling towards the
end and I might to do it then I am going to call off all
bats and I'm just going to fight in my feather weight class but I want to
attempt to do light feather and will do everything my power to do that I am
aiming for my world championship tournament which is in California the
end of May like May 30th - like June 3rd around that area
so I have over a month about maybe six weeks or so to cut seven pounds or so so
I know that I can do this I'm super excited for this journey and again I'm
gonna be a hangry girl because I'm gonna have to be cut in some foods but I am
excited to implement all of the tricks and tips and knowledge that I share with
you guys on my youtube channel on my Instagram and to put myself to the test
to do this I did the same thing with my bodybuilding competition and I'm excited
to do this for jujitsu why am I doing this I'm simply doing
this because like I said I wanted to challenge myself I haven't done it in a
while I've been basically got complacent I've been happy where I was at 125 but
you know I just wanted to add that little bit of an extra fitness challenge
since I was already weighing in out of the low weight it kind of gave me some
motivation that I didn't have that much to lose to really get to that goal of
115 so I quickly wanted to go over what are the methods I'm going to be using on
a kind of broad scale in both nutrition training supplements and just like
relaxation and recovery techniques let's start with nutrition you guys probably
know by now I'm plant-based I'm vegan so I'll be sticking to that way I am
definitely gonna be doing high protein high fat I am not counting calories by
any means I'm going to be intuitive but I'm going to eat lots of vegetables I'm
gonna make sure I get a variety of different vegetables in because I need
to get nutrients from all of those but I'm really excited about this this is
when I feel my best right now so I just I can't wait to just continue this and
to see where it takes me as far as my training I'll be training jiu-jitsu as
much as possible you know six days a week five days a week that's probably my
goal I do want at least one rest day it'll probably be a Saturday when it
comes to jiu-jitsu so that's my goal about five six days a week four digits
ooh and my cross-training is going to be lifting you guys know I love lifting so
that's not gonna stop I'm going to be shooting for four to five days of
lifting as long as possible and I'll start tapering that off as I get closer
to tournament so I can start to really recover and be at my ideal peak
performance for that tournament and as far as supplements is concerned I'm
going to be doing multivitamin as much as possible it's really hard for me to
stick to them I just I just really suck at like pill regimen I just I really
suck at them so I'm going to do trying to do a multivitamin as much as possible
especially when you are doing a cut and you're just even if you're eating all
the veggies in the world you're just not gonna get all the nutrients every single
new Trant and the amount that you need to
fuel your inside body as much as possible so multivitamins are super
essential especially when you're vegan I'm already at a basically a deficit
because it's harder to get nutrients that are more bioavailable so
multivitamin is a must as much as possible I'm going to be doing that and
some of my PPI supplements I'll be doing boom out my glutamine this is good for
recovery so I'll be sipping on this after my training after the gym things
like that also my branched chain amino acids from BPI sports so same thing
helps with maintaining that muscle mass as I begin as I continue to lose weight
it's gonna come to a point where I'm going to have such low body fat some of
my muscle is probably going to be sacrifice and this is gonna help
minimize that as much as possible so I will be sipping on this literally all
the time to make sure that my body is constantly getting those amino acids so
it can continue to build muscle and one I didn't bring because it's at the gym
and CLA and carnitine which is a fat loss nam stimulant powder from BPI
sports my favorite supplement especially the flavor of snowcone but that just
helps to convert any fat in your body to energy so being on a keto style diet
being high protein high fat that's going to help enhance that process so those
are the supplements I'll be taking if anything changes I will definitely let
you know but the last thing we're gonna cover before I wrap up this video I know
it's getting a little long but I just wanted to like update you on this
project and by the way this is called project light feather so every time I
hashtag this it's going to be in relation to this so if you're interested
in following along this journey make sure that you stay tuned for project
like their videos and hashtags and things like that but lastly how I'm
going to enhance my recovery not only will I be doing the glutamine supplement
but I am going to make sure that I get massages very frequently when you're
putting it under a lot of stress but I'm doing two days at the gym and eating you
know it's a deficit of calories I have to kind of I have to take care of my
body in a different way so that it doesn't
feel like it's under constant stress and massaging can help to do that
I may try cryotherapy or things like that that'll probably later in the month
before closer to the tournament but I'll keep you posted on that and the second
thing I'll be doing is CBD oil this is great great great for any pains and
aches that any athlete or anybody has I seriously highly recommends to be de oil
and in addition to just reducing the aches and pains from training all the
time which are going to be inevitable they it helps to decrease inflammation
in the body as a whole so less inflammation means my recovery time is
going to be better which means I'll be able to perform at
my best so guys this is an overview of what I'll be doing for project like
feather if this is something of interest to you make sure you comment what you'd
be interested in me sharing over the next few months or so as far as recipes
or workouts what's your interest I want to know comment below don't forget to
give this video a thumbs up subscribe to my channel and I will see you in the
next video thanks for watching guys

New Kirby Game or New Dream Friends for Kirby Star Allies Hinted? - Duration: 2:05.The Japanese Kirby 25th Anniversary Twitter account has released a photo yesterday of a few construction Waddle Dees carrying stars that look like they're from Mario Party 9.
There's Japanese text along with it.
When translated, it reads, "Hello! It is a reporter Waddi. Oh? It seems that our colleagues wearing a helmet are preparing something happily. It seems like you are carrying it somewhere ... I'm curious! Let's follow!"
This one has the reporter, Waddi, standing in front of a construction site.
Today, another image has been posted on the Twitter.
We can see a Waddle Dee on the right with a blue beanie holding a sign that reads, when translated, "What is it?"
We can see a Waddle Dee holding a basket of the same stars in the bottom right of the picture.
Above that, we can see Buggzy and Mr. Frosty lifting a sign to the top of what should be completed tomorrow. Behind that, we see Phan-Phan, a mini boss in previous Kirby games that gave Kirby the Throw ability.
We can also see 3 more Waddle Dee's working, and Bonkers beside them.
The translated text reads, "When I chased after my company, I arrived at the construction site! Everyone seems to be very busy, but what on earth are you making ...? Huh? I heard that, "It will be completed tomorrow … now! What, what! What? Does it make it in time ... It is exciting various meanings ~ っ! ! We would like to watch over you!"
That's all of the images and information so far. Could this be a new Kirby game or new Dream Friends in Kirby Star Allies? More videos will come talking about this new find.

"Shadow of the Colossus" Experienced Gamer review - Duration: 7:01.This review is for a mature-rated game, so viewer discretion is advised.
When "Ico" came out on the Playstation 2, it didn't sell well despite acclaim from critics.
"Ico" is considered by many to be a work of art in the videogame world, and that's not something to be said lightly.
"Shadow of the Colossus" falls under the same category, and was made by the same developers at Team Ico, yet a larger marketing campaign
led to it selling more – plus it was remade for the Playstation 3 and Playstation 4.
With these multiple releases, is "Shadow of the Colossus" a game worth checking out?
When the game begins, you see a young man named Wander
riding on horseback to a temple in order to resurrect a girl named Mono.
However, this will only happen if Wander will follow the instructions of the entity Dormin [who is not seen but heard] and
destroys sixteen giant beasts across the land, known as colossi [plural for colossus].
Wander is told that the price for reviving Mono is high, yet
he goes out to fight the colossi…and gradually his body gets corrupted by the essence of these creatures.
The story is deliberately minimalistic, with little information given to the player.
What is the relationship between Wander and Mono?
Why is this land forbidden?
The outcome of Wander's quest is compelling to watch and worth the ten or so hours of playtime to see what happens.
The use of minimalism also applies to the characters and setting – it is a fantasy setting,
yet there are no dungeons or towns – and there are barely any
characters or enemies. The focus is on the sixteen boss fights – where you control Wander,
find these colossi and destroy them.
These sixteen boss fights are nothing short of memorable!
The colossi are generally enormous in their size,
display a fusion of organic and inorganic elements such as armour and fur, as
well as have a tendency to move around in a peaceful or graceful manner.
Still screenshots do not do these boss fights justice.
No matter how much awe you may feel in the first moments you see these creatures,
you still have to work hard to find their weak points and this is where the game is more unconventional.
"Shadow of the Colossus" is more of a puzzle game, where you have to look at the surrounding environment and figure out a way to trap the
monster or at least climb it. There is more trial and error involved in this than there should be,
but you should be able to figure out what to do…
and sometimes the voice of the entity Dormin will offer clues.
[Dormin speaks] [Battle noises including horse neighing]
Wander has a stamina gauge, so you can't climb on or stay atop most of these colossi for long.
You can regain your health and stamina on the ground or some part of the monster where you won't necessarily be shaken off as if you were a flea.
You will really feel as if you're hanging on for dear life during these moments,
though this can be annoying sometimes due to the fact that the colossus can sometimes never stop thrashing about,
especially when you're actually on the weak point
[represented by a glowing sigil] attempting to actually deplete the creature's health bar with your sword.
However, once you destroy any of the colossi,
this is where the emotional part of the game comes in, to the point where it's extremely subjective.
For the most part, this game can be treated as a series of puzzles where the player can feel a sense of accomplishment
for figuring them out and wanting to see how the story ends. But it goes deeper than that – the word is 'tragedy'.
Sure, some of the colossi are actually aggressive and try to kill you.
Sure, it may have been frustrating trying to even climb on one and hang on. But after the colossus bleeds more and more from the blade of your sword,
with the music getting more urgent [or to use an overused word 'epic'], you then see the creature very slowly fall to the ground,
the music changes to a solemn choral melody,
and then finally the aforementioned 'essence' flies out of the corpse and infects Wander.
[Wander groans and collapses] [Emotional music]
It is possible in these moments you may feel sorry for the colossi. The game instructs you to fight sixteen of them, and for what?
To resurrect Mono? At what price? When you feel this emotion, you'll want to keep on going to see the ending.
There's even a moment towards the end of the game
which may actually make you cry. This is how connected you can feel to the characters and setting,
regardless of the deliberate minimalism or the vague backstory.
Boss fights aren't the only thing that make up the game. You will explore a vast desolate land
where, alongside the boss fights that are generally in remote areas,
there are fruit and lizards that will generally increase your health and stamina bars.
To find the colossi, you have to hold your sword up to the sun, and a beam of light will show you where to go.
You can get there via horseback on Agro, and occasionally you'll need your horse in a boss fight.
Riding Agro can potentially be frustrating to control, considering the developers tried to make the horse-riding as realistic as possible.
Speaking of the controls, the button placement can be fairly hard to get to grips with, though if you pay attention to the on-screen
instructions before the first colossus, you should be all right.
You may also find it hard to tell which direction you're moving sometimes.
And if this wasn't enough, the camera can go all over the place
which, while potentially sweeping and epic, is a struggle.
The frame-rate in the game could unfortunately go down due to the initial release
pushing the Playstation 2 to its limits,
but the later versions remedy this. The latest version [of which the footage in this review is from] is the Playstation 4 release,
which may be the best version to get in regards to smooth frame-rate and potentially more accessible controls,
but the changed colours and character models may be questionable to those who have previously played the game.
Overall, "Shadow of the Colossus" is certainly a unique game, much like "Ico". In contrast to that game, the game actually contains a HUD,
featuring health and stamina bars, and your weapon of choice [out of a sword or bow and arrow]. Those who liked how
cinematic "Ico" was may dislike that, but if there are key
similarities to be noted, it is in the production values and minimalism. The game is definitely beautiful and the music, when it's there, is some
of the best in videogame history.
Minimalism is what really makes this game unique.
The world you explore is desolate with no-one to talk to, just giant creatures that are a tragedy to destroy, yet somehow,
their destruction may bring back a girl from the dead. People familiar with
action-adventure games may wish for more than that, as well as less frustrating controls and camera combined with more traditional gameplay,
but you may find the sixteen boss fights/puzzles with the giant colossi and your own subjective
interpretations of the story will stir some strong emotion. "Shadow of the Colossus" is a memorable work of art and is quite possibly superior to "Ico".
