The Late Show 'Rescue Dog Rescue' With Emma Stone - Duration: 5:03.>> Stephen: SO MUCH OF THE COUNTRY IS STILL
RECOVERING FROM HURRICANE FLORENCE.
LUCKILY THERE ARE A LOT OF GROUPS OUT THERE HELPING IN ALL
DIFFERENT WAYS.
FOR EXAMPLE, THE NORTH SHORE ANIMAL LEAGUE HAS BEEN WORKING
TO FIND HOMES FOR PETS WHO WERE LEFT BEHIND DURING THE
STORM.
AND THAT MADE ME ESPECIALLY HAPPY, BECAUSE WE'VE LONG
PARTNERED WITH THAT ORGANIZATION FOR A SEGMENT CALLED, "RESCUE
DOG RESCUE," WHERE A GUEST AND I MAKE UP FLATTERING LIES ABOUT
SHELTER DOGS TO HELP GET THEM ADOPTED.
BECAUSE, OF COURSE, EVERYONE LOVES PUPPIES.
SO THE ONLY WAY TO MAKE THEM EVEN MORE ADOPTABLE IS TO HAVE A
CELEBRITY LIE ON THEIR BEHALF.
AND TONIGHT WE HAVE SOME PUPS WHO WERE JUST RESCUED FROM
HURRICANE FLORENCE.
IT'S TIME FOR ANOTHER EDITION OF "RESCUE DOG RESCUE."
[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE] ♪
[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE] >> Stephen: HEY EVERYBODY.
WELCOME TO "RESCUE DOG RESCUE" REMINDER: ALL OF THE DOGS YOU'RE
ABOUT TO SEE ARE ACTUALLY UP FOR ADOPTION, AND ALL OF THE THINGS
YOU'RE ABOUT TO HEAR ARE ACTUALLY LIES DESIGNED TO GET
YOU TO ADOPT THEM.
NOW, IF ONLY THERE WERE A CELEBRITY WHO WAS WILLING TO
HELP ME OUT.
>> I'M A CELEBRITY!
[CHEERS AND APPLAUSE] >> Stephen: WHAT, OH MY GOSH.

OUR FIRST PUPPY IS DWAYNE!
DWAYNE IS A SHEPHERD MIX.
A LOT OF PEOPLE ASK HIM, "WERE YOU NAMED AFTER DWAYNE 'THE
ROCK' JOHNSON?" BUT IN FACT, "THE ROCK" WAS
NAMED AFTER HIM, DWAYNE "THE DOG" JOHNSON.
>> THIS IS MIA.
SHE'S A SPIRITUAL DOG WHO BELIEVES IN REINCARNATION.
IN FACT, SHE THINKS THAT, IN A PAST LIFE, YOU WERE HER DOG.
WHICH MEANS IF YOU ADOPT HER, SHE MIGHT LET YOU DRINK FROM THE
TOILET.
>> Stephen: THIS IS OLIVE.
SHE'S A PRIVATE SECURITY CONSULTANT WHO'S BEEN WORKING
WITH THE ROBERT MUELLER INVESTIGATION FOR THE PAST EIGHT
MONTHS.
AND SHE IS READY TO TELL YOU SOME STUFF THAT WILL BLOW YOUR
MIND.
WHAT'S THAT?
DON, JR. DID WHAT IN MOSCOW?
WOW.
>> SHE IS SHAKING.
tephen: SHE IS TREMBLING WILL FACTS.
>> THIS IS RUBY.
FUN FACT, SHE'S NAMED THAT, BECAUSE IT IS WHAT SHE POOPS.
>> Stephen: THIS IS BARKLEY.
THIS LITTLE SWEETHEART SUFFERS FROM A CRIPPLING PORN ADDICTION.
BUT ON THE BRIGHT SIDE, IT WILL MAKE THE AMOUNT OF PORN YOU
WATCH LOOK TAME BY COMPARISON.

Confusion Ensues During Rosenstein's White House Visit - Duration: 2:40.MEANWHILE, THERE WAS BIG DRAMA TODAY SURROUNDING ATTORNEY

ON FRIDAY, "THE NEW YORK TIMES" ALLEGED THAT, LAST YEAR,
ROSENSTEIN DISCUSSED RECRUITING CABINET MEMBERS TO INVOKE THE
25th AMENDMENT TO REMOVE MR. TRUMP FROM OFFICE FOR BEING
UNFIT, AND THEN RAISED THE IDEA OF WEARING A WIRE TO SECRETLY
TAPE THE PRESIDENT.

YA -B, THE WIRE IS REALLY SMART.
IF TRUMP WERE CAUGHT ON TAPE SAYING SOMETHING HORRIBLE, HE
COULD WIN THE 2016 ELECTION.

SAID HE HEARD ROSENSTEIN MAKE THE OFFER TO RECORD THE
PRESIDENT, BUT THAT HE WAS "JUST BEING SARCASTIC."

"HEY THERE'S A CHANCE THE PRESIDENT COLLUDED WITH A
FOREIGN POWER AND OBSTRUCTED JUSTICE WHEN HE FIRED THE HEAD

EVIDENCE FOR WHEN WE INVOKE THE 25th AMENDMENT AND REMOVE HIM

TURNS OUT, THEY ONLY TALKED ABOUT IT.
THEN, THIS MORNING IT WAS REPORTED THAT ROSENSTEIN WAS ON
HIS WAY TO THE WHITE HOUSE TO QUIT AND/OR GET FIRED, SO ALL

For it, I need 1 cup all purpose flour.
½ tsp salt
½ tsp Baking powder
½ tsp powdered sugar
2 tsp curd
Also, I need lukewarm water.
Knead a soft dough out of it.
Add 1 tsp clarified butter to the dough.
Cover the dough with a wet cloth and then, leave it for half an hour.
For the filling, I have taken 1 bowl mashed cottage cheese.
You can also take mashed potato instead of cottage cheese.
Add finely chopped onions to the mashed cottage cheese.
Finely chopped green chillies
Garam Masala Powder
Black Pepper Powder
Roasted Cumin Powder
Red Chilli Powder
Dry Mango Powder
Salt to taste
Grinded Anardana
Then I have taken dried and crushed cilantro.
In large quantity, add cilantro to it.
Add a little amount of dry fenugreek leaves to it.
Mix it well and roll it into balls.
Now, stretch the dough.
Apply clarified butter on it.
Stretch it again.
Apply clarified butter on it.
Again fold it.
Cover it and leave it for 10 minutes.
You can use any flat pan except the non-stick one.
Stretch it with the help of your palms.
Now, keep the filling.
Keep some amount of finely chopped cilantro on it.
Stretch it with the help of your palms.
Apply water, at the backside of the kulcha.
Press it with your palm.
Flip the flat pan in order to cook the kulcha directly over the flame.
Keep the flame low to medium.
Take it out in a plate.
Apply clarified butter on it.
Crush it like this.

Frankfurt's newest tourist attraction - Duration: 7:40.Good morning! Today, I thought that I would just pop into Frankfurt,
because there's something I'd quite like to see —
and I thought you'd like to see it as well.
So, let's go!
So, this is basically Frankfurt's newest tourist attraction.
It's a reconstruction of part of the old city, which was destroyed in the Second World War.
What was here before was a very ugly administrative building
that was pulled down a full years ago.
And they simply decided to recreate the old alleyways and buildings.
It's not a completely faithful 1:1 reproduction:
some of the buildings are very detailed;
some of them just have the right scale and so on, but they're much more modern.
But it's intended to give the general look and feel of old Frankfurt,
a city that has long since disappeared.
This project is not without its critics:
it's been criticized as a kind of Disneyland Frankfurt.
And it's easy to see why:
the problem is that the buildings are absolutely brand new at the moment,
so they don't really look historic.
But, I don't know, give it another 20 years and that may change.
These are archaeological remains
dating from the Roman period all the way to the Late Middle Ages.
And they've finally been given their own special space
open to the public, completely free,
but roofed over so they're protected from the elements.
What's really fascinating about this is it's not quite finished —
it's due to open at the end of this week —
but it's already attracting tourists. Apparently from all over the world.
Tell you what: let's get a better view.
Yep. From up there.
I can say that I've been up quite a few church towers in my time just to get some great views,
but this one takes be biscuit:
you've just got to hope that you don't meet somebody coming the other way.
But it's a great view, although I was scared stiff of dropping the camera.
So, what's my verdict?
Was it really necessary to try to recreate the old city?
No, probably not.
Is it an improvement on what was here before?
Absolutely definitely yes.
I mean, it's definitely here for the tourists,
and Frankfurt has a lot of those.
But, you know, I can't help thinking
maybe they should have thought of something a little bit more creative:
a bit more, I don't know, 21st century —
just not ugly.

Distress Oxide, Fabstencil & Ultra sparkle paste Mixed Media tag - Duration: 2:36.Hi I'm Gerry from Gerry's Craft Room and welcome to my channel
In this video I'm going make a mixed media tag with fabScraps scrapbook paper as a base
I applied a thin layer of gesso on the tag with a plastic card and the first layers of ink
just dipping the tag in ink diluted with water
I will link to another video where I show that
I start with adding another layer with a stencil I use the same ink I used for the base
I use a sponge to apply the ink because the thickness of the stencil
it will ruin the sponge applicator
I spray a bit of water and move the tag
to let the colour run a bit and then I dry the tag
then another layer turning my stencil with a different colour
and some more accents with the third colour by the way I added the products I used in
the description box for you and if you are new here don't forget to subscribe
then I make some splats with black gesso diluted with water and I let that dry
I mixed some Ultra sparkle paste with Lilac metallic paint to get a colour that matches the tag
and I apply some with the same stencil and let that dry again
some more splats with white gesso mixed with
water and let it dry again
and I finish with a printed sentiment I sanded the edges
so they are white and it shows better on the background
I hope you liked the video don't forget

12 Fresh Sermon Series Ideas [PLUS FREE SERMON GRAPHICS] - Duration: 15:17.- There's a brand new process
for identifying sermon series ideas
that never would've been possible a couple of years ago.
And when you use this new process,
you'll notice how easy it is
to discover innovative sermon series ideas.
And in this video, I'm gonna show you how I used
this technique to plan out a full year of sermons.
Even better, I created sermon series graphics
to go along with every single series,
and you'll be able to download each of them for free.
Well, hey there, I'm Brady Shearer,
the CEO of Pro Church Tools and the creator of Nucleus.
And if you like this video,
consider giving it a thumbs up and subscribing.
Look, the sermon series ideas I'm about to share with you
are probably a bit different than what you're expecting.
You won't find any At the Movie's
recommendations on this list.
Simply stated, I wanted to take
a completely different approach
with my sermon series recommendations.
So if you're looking for the same old-same old,
you're not gonna find it in this video.
Now, you might be wondering,
well, what makes this sermon series ideas list so special?
Well, consider this.
Attending church on Sundays used to be
a way of life for most Americans.
But we're living through the biggest
communication shift in 500 years.
Church has become less of a priority,
especially for those younger than 40 years of age.
Only two in 10 Millennials believe
church attendance is important.
And 59% of Millennials who grew up in the church
have dropped out at some point.
And if present trends continue,
the percentage of the population that attends church in 2050
is estimated to be almost half of 1990s attendance,
a drop from 20.4% to 11.7%.
So, what does this mean for your church?
Bottom line, finding the intersection
between faith and culture is critical now more than ever,
especially with your church's sermons.
Because here's the sad truth.
Most people don't care about church.
I mean, sure some people
are angry and bitter towards church.
And others are wildly passionate.
But for the most part, we're apathetic.
Unfortunately, this puts your church in a tricky spot.
Because it's very difficult to engage people
on a subject they are not excited about.
The solution?
Identify the intersections between faith and culture,
and use those intersecting ideas as bridges
between Jesus and the world.
'Cause as it turns out,
this is how Jesus often chose to communicate himself.
Jesus uses a mustard seed as a bridge
to explain The Kingdom of God.
He tells the story of a son
turning his back on his father as a bridge
to explain redemption and forgiveness.
Jesus talks about a man abandoned on the side of the road
as a bridge to explain mercy.
Each of the sermon series ideas I'm about to share with you
is a bridge, an intersection between faith and culture.
A timely springboard for a timeless message.
How do I know this?
Well, because each sermon series idea uses keyword research,
behavioral data, and the most recent statistics we have
on the Christian faith, to find the busiest intersections
that exist today between faith and culture.
This is the strategy for identifying
innovative sermon series ideas.
And now, I wanna share 12 of them with you,
with free downloadable sermon series graphics as well.
Sermon series idea #1, Bible.
Check this out.
Every month, more than half a million Americans
search in YouTube for the phrase bible study how to.
Keep in mind, that figure is only searches within America,
and it's a monthly figure.
So every single month 500,000 plus searches are being made
on YouTube alone for bible study how to.
Look, the Bible's the most widely distributed
and best-selling book of all time,
but it can be confounding.
The translations, the language, the history,
the context, the contradictions.
Here's the bottom line.
The people in your church are hungry
to understand the Bible.
Heck, the majority of Americans, 58%,
say they wish they read the Bible more often.
The solution?
Dedicate a sermon series every year to teaching
your congregation how to properly study the Bible.
Sermon series idea #2, Doubting.
Here's some fascinating data
I found on Christianity and doubt.
Two out of every three Christians
admit to experiencing a season of spiritual doubt.
And more than a quarter of Christ followers
still find themselves doubting right now.
And the most common response to spiritual doubt?
Quit attending church altogether.
Now, I just want you to imagine for a moment,
looking at your church's entire congregation
gathered together in a crowd, all in one place.
Now, consider that one out of every four people that you see
is struggling with spiritual doubt, right now.
Of course, doubt is a necessary part
of almost every faith journey.
But it can be crippling.
Consider that almost half of people, 46%,
that experience spiritual doubt respond by quitting church.
Our churches need to know that doubt is okay.
But we also need a game plan.
What do you we do when a crisis of faith hits us?
That's what this sermon series idea is for.
Sermon series idea #3, pray.
The phrase how to pray receives more than 130,000
unique monthly searches on YouTube in America alone.
Popular variations of that search term
include prayer for strength,
prayer for healing, prayer for children.
And get this, prayer is the most popular
spiritual discipline amongst Christians.
It gets better because
more than half, 55%, of all Americans
say they pray every single day.
In 2017, nearly three-quarters of Americans
prayed to God at least once per week.
Not just Christians mind you, but all Americans.
No doubt about it,
prayer is the most popular spiritual discipline.
But how should we pray?
Should we petition God on our behalf?
Should we ask God to make us more like Him?
Should we simply pray The Lord's Prayer as Jesus instructed?
Similar to studying the Bible, the people in your church
and community are hungry to understand prayer.
Dedicating a yearly sermon series to the practice of prayer
is a tremendous way to foster prayerful habits
in the people of your church.
Sermon series idea #4, Sex.
Think about this. The percentage of single people,
and people who have never married is increasing.
Since 2000, the proportion of single people
in the 25-29 range rose 9 percentage points
And the number of single people in the 30-39 range
rose 10 percentage points.
The median marriage age in the 1970s was 23 years old.
The median marriage age in the 2010s, 30 years old.
If you browse the most popular YouTube channels
amongst young Christians, you'll find
that the most popular videos are consistently
exploring the topics of sex and relationships.
Here are some examples:
The Untold Truth about Saving Yourself for Marriage
Should Christians Kiss Before Marriage?
A Guy's Perspective On Christian Modesty
5 Steps To Actually Battle Pornography
What The Church Is Getting Wrong About Purity
Now the first video on that list talks about
the untold secrets of saving yourself for marriage
and it has close to two million views.
To quote Barna, there are massive generational shifts
amongst younger Americans toward a broader move
to delay marriage. Okay so what am I getting at?
Well, Christians are taught from a young age
that sex is meant to be experienced
within the union of marriage. So think about that.
Sex is the ultimate mystery for a younger Christian.
We put sex on a pedestal. We spend a lifetime
waiting for it. And then, when it finally happens,
we have no idea what to do with it!
So what does this mean for your church?
Talk about sex! For real. Dispel the myths.
Address the difficult questions.
Heck, especially address the difficult questions.
Because here's the deal. 95% of Gen Z uses YouTube.
50% of Gen Z say they cannot live without YouTube.
And if our churches won't talk about sex,
younger Christians will turn elsewhere.
Sermon series #5, Money.
When American Christians were asked
what the most important financial goal was for them,
the most popular answer was to provide for my family.
The second most important financial goal
for American Christians was to
support the lifestyle I want.
And all the way down in the sixth position
was the answer, serve God with my money.
And it gets worse because according to a poll
by the Bank of Montreal, 68% of Canadians surveyed
say fighting over money would be their top reason
for divorce, even ahead of infidelity.
Look, The Bible has a lot to say about money.
About stewardship. Hard work. Generosity.
Tithing. Greed. Contentment.
On the other hand, money is a sensitive topic
for the two largest living generations.
Boomers and Millennials.
Only 25% of Boomers feel confident
they have enough money to last through retirement.
Even worse? 42% of Boomers have nothing saved
for retirement at all. But there's more,
because young people don't have it much better.
American student debt has tripled in the last decade.
For Millennials, traditional life milestones
like home ownership and marriage
sometimes don't even feel like realistic options.
In fact, student debt has put many Millennials
in a hole that we feel like we can't even crawl out of.
Consider the hours of minimum wage work
is now needed for Millennials to pay
for four years of public college compared to Boomers.
A fifteen times increase!
Knowing all of this, a sermon series on money
should offer practical steps and hope
to those who feel hopeless in their financial situations.
Let's keep it moving with Sermon Series Idea #6, Community.
Here's something interesting, young adults who continue
their involvement in church beyond their teens years
are twice as likely as those who leave church
to have a close, personal friendship with an older adult
in their faith community.
Moreover, when asked to choose from word pairings
to describe their vision of the ideal church,
78% of Millennials chose community over privacy
and 64% chose casual over dignified.
Here's a Twitter poll from my friend Jarrid Wilson.
He ran it recently. He asked his audience,
"If you had to choose, what do you think is top priority
for young people when they are looking
for a church to call home?"
By far, the most popular answer was community.
And we don't stop there. Sermon Series Idea #7, Rules.
Browse the most popular YouTube videos amongst
young Christians and you'll find that many are
exploring the do's and do not's of their faith.
Here are some examples: Can A Christian Drink Alcohol?
Can Christians Get Tattoos?
Can A Christian Date Non-Believers?
Should Christians Kiss Before Marriage?
Is Secular Music Evil?
Here's a sobering fact, 66% of Millennials
consider churchgoers to be hypocritical.
And as if that's not enough, the perceived legalism
of Christianity has become the trademark of a faith
that should be marked by redemptive and selfless love.
Here's the bottom line. The people in your congregation
are full of questions pertaining to their faith
and how it applies to day-to-day living.
Consider dedicating a yearly sermon series to responding
to these questions. Perhaps a summer Q&A series
with a panel of hosts instead of just a single speaker.
Sermon Series Idea #8, Purpose.
As it turns out, the most popular Bible verse
on Bible Study Tools and the second most popular verse
on Bible Gateway is Jeremiah 29:11.
A famous passage of Scripture that explores the plans
and purpose that God has for each one of us.
As if that's not enough, the third most popular Bible verse
on Bible Gateway is Romans 8:28.
"And we know that in all things God works for the good of
those who love him, who have been called according to his
purpose."
Meanwhile, a May 2005 survey of American pastors
and ministers asked to identify which books
were the most influential on their lives and ministries.
The most popular response?
The Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren.
A book that has sold more than 70 million copies.
Simply stated, most of us long for purpose and meaning.
And as it turns out, this longing is reflected
in the Bible verses that we turn to most often.
Of the ten most popular Bible verses on Bible Gateway,
more than half possess themes of purpose and meaning.
What does this mean for your church?
Well we all want to be a part of
something greater than ourselves.
Constructing a sermon series exploring true purpose
and true meaning rooted in Jesus is a smart way
to engage your congregation while also rallying
them around the mission of Christ.
Sermon Series Idea #9, Spirituality.
According to Millennials, the #1 reason young people claim
church attendance is not important is because
they find God elsewhere.
And it's not just young people. More than a quarter of
U.S. adults, 27% now say they think of themselves as
spiritual but not religious. And that's an increase
of 8 percentage points in just five years.
It's true.
While church attendance may be declining,
spirituality is actually on the rise.
Why does this matter? Well it matters because the
Christian tradition is steeped in rich spiritual practice.
Prayer. Meditation. Communion. Baptism.
Fasting. Solitude. Just to name a few.
Setting aside a yearly sermon series to explore
the spiritual practices of Christianity
will meet a felt need amongst your church and community,
while also allowing you to refocus on the
ancient traditions of the Christian faith.
Sermon Series Idea #10, Influencers.
Here's the deal. We're living through the
biggest communication shift in 500 years.
Consider that three-quarters of children
say they would consider some sort of career in online video,
more than a third want to be a YouTuber when they grow up,
and nearly a fifth want to work as a blogger or vlogger.
And it's not just young people. Adults ages 50+
spend 4 hours and 9 minutes on social media each week.
And according to Google, Boomers and Seniors
spend a total of 19 hours online every week.
In just ten short years, the world has fundamentally changed
thanks to the internet.
Every industry is being disrupted
and every area of our lives is affected.
So how does our faith inform and intersect
with this new digital world?
That's what this sermon series should aim to address.
Idea #11, Fear.
Look at the most popular Bible verses on platforms
like Bible Study Tools and you'll find that 40%
of the top 10 most popular Scripture passages address fear.
Now consider what the lives of young people look like today.
The average student loan debt for Class of 2017 grad
is almost 40 thousand dollars. Up 6% from last year.
40% of Millennials say they fear
getting stuck with no development opportunities.
And now take a look at this infographic of
how life has changed for young people in the last 40 years.
Debt is up, cost of college is up, income has stayed
the same, home ownership is down,
and considerably less people are getting married.
Here's the bottom line. Faith and Scripture
play an integral role in combating fear and uncertainty.
Of course, fear is unavoidable.
But equipping your church to confront fear
in an ever-changing world is critical.
Finally, Sermon Series Idea #12, Body.
There's really no other way to put it.
We're in the middle of a body image crisis.
Men and women around the world are
dissatisfied with how they look.
Approximately 80% of U.S. women don't like how they look.
34% of men don't like their body.
Over 80% of 10 year olds are afraid of being fat.
Only 4% of women around the world
consider themselves to be beautiful.
It gets worse because according to 2007 statistics
from the World Health Organization, the U.S.
has the highest prevalence of overweight adults
in the English-speaking world.
Now, here's the good news.
The Bible offers a redemptive view of the human body.
We reflect the image of God.
We're fearfully and wonderfully made.
So dedicate this sermon series to helping your church
see themselves through the eyes of their creator.

House Cleaner Hijinks - Unreliable Employees Need a Chat - Duration: 6:34.My cleaning employee refuses to do deep cleans or move in and move out cleanings.
What should I do?
Ooh, that is a tough question and we are going to talk about that today.
Hi there?
I'm Angela Brown and this is Ask A House Cleaner.
This is a show where you get to ask a house cleaning question
and I get to help you find an answer.
Now today's show is brought to us by HouseCleaning360.com
That is a website where we match homeowners with house cleaners.
And it's not just house cleaners, it's carpet cleaners and window washers, and people that
do pressure washing of your driveway and your sidewalk.
They're people that come and they'll clean out your swimming pool or your hot tub and
they will blow off your patio of leaves in the fall time.
There are so many different services that service your home
that you can find on HouseCleaning360.com
All right, onto today's show which is from a professional house cleaner.
She has a staff and there is one particular girl that calls out every single time there
is a deep clean or a move in move out clean.
She only does maintenance cleans of her own choosing.
So, if she's given a deep clean she just doesn't show up that day.
What on earth is going on?
All right.
Well, there are a couple of things that are going on.
Maybe she hasn't told you that she has a medical condition like maybe she's pregnant.
And for a deep clean, you're going to be at a house maybe six hours instead of three.
And so, if she's there for six hours she may need to stop and rest.
She may need some food.
If she bends over like she's cleaning the baseboards or something which is maybe not
part of your maintenance clean, it's possible that she gets sick and she throws up.
There may be things that are going on that we just don't know.
So, the very first thing I would do is I would sit her down and have a conversation and say,
"Come on, you got to tell me what's up because every time there is a deep clean you're calling out.
What is going on?"
She might be able to shed some light.
That is a very valid concern.
Now if there is no valid concern and she's just calling out because she's lazy, that
requires a whole different set of communication skills.
Because now you have to make new rules and say, "Okay, I'm the boss and you don't get
to decide which jobs you pick and choose.
We don't work that way, we have a schedule.
We have clients, and we go and we service those clients.
If you want this job, you have to go service those clients."
So, if she agrees to that, that should be in writing.
If that's in writing you need to get her to sign it and a copy of that needs to go inside
her employee file, because if for any reason later on down the road you decide you want to fire her,
you need to have that documented
so that she doesn't come back and get workman's
comp and all these other things because you breached your contract, or you let her go
prematurely.
You don't want a lawsuit on your hands.
There's all weird stuff that can happen.
If you let her go because she's violated the rules or what have you, at least it's in the
employee file.
You've done everything you were supposed to do.
Another thing that you may want to consider is there are people that are really, really
good, at certain things and then there are people that are lousy at other things.
Even in my own company, we have that.
I have people that have different skillsets.
I don't defame them or make them feel bad because they don't have the skillset,
but when I see the quality of their work compared to the quality of their work over here
I say to myself," Angela don't give this person this job anymore
because they did a lousy job at it.
This doesn't, this doesn't pass."
And over here they did a spectacular job.
Give them more of this and less of this, right?
So, there are ways that you can still work with existing employees because some employees
they do excellent work over here, they may just not have the right skill set to do a
deep clean, right?
So, maybe this particular house cleaner just doesn't have the skillset.
I don't know.
And then my next question is has she went through proper training?
If you have a great training program and it shows you how to do deep cleaning and it shows
you systematically how to do deep cleaning, it shouldn't be a problem.
But maybe in her mind, it's so overwhelming because she doesn't know exactly what she's
supposed to be doing.
And so it's easier for her to just call out and not do those cleans.
So, take a look at your own training.
What does that look like?
Are you giving fair information to your employees?
Have you armed them with the proper tools that they need to do a deep clean?
Did you know that on a deep clean there are a lot of cleaners that go in there with a
scrub drill?
It's not part of their maintenance clean and they don't carry it with them on all their
maintenance cleans, but there's this big drill with a special head on it.
I'll leave links in the show notes so you can see what I'm talking about.
They'll go into a shower and they' clean all the grout and they make everything shine and
it's awesome and it reduces a lot of the elbow grease.
So, that's fun, but that is part of a deep clean.
Maybe she doesn't have the right tools.
So, I don't really know what is going on in this particular scenario,
but I don't think it can be ignored.
I think it's really important that as the business owner you take a step back and you
try to figure out what is going on and give her every benefit of the doubt because there's
probably something very valid.
We've had house cleaners that were, in fact, pregnant but they hadn't announced it yet.
And they didn't want to tell us because they didn't want us to not put them on the schedule
because they still needed the money.
But they didn't know how their bodies were going to react when they went through the
morning sickness.
And then pretty easy you pick up on it, and you're like, "Hey, you're puking every day,
you're nauseous and something I need to know about?
"Oh yeah, I'm pregnant."
You're like, "Oh okay.
Now I know."
At least you know, right?
So, maybe it's just time to have the conversation so that you can work with them,
not work against them.
Because if they don't tell you what's going on and you don't ask, and you don't find out
and you don't create new systems and procedures that either support your workers,
you're going to have a huge problem going forward.
Because you can't have employees that just call out randomly on jobs because they don't
feel like it.
That doesn't work, that's not how you run a house cleaning business.
So, it's time that the two of you get together and have a conversation.
My suggestion is to be light-hearted about it, and be forgiving, and give her every benefit
of the doubt.
All righty, that's my two cents for today.
Until we meet again,
leave the world a cleaner place than when you found it.

Let's Learn English at the Gas Station | English Video with Subtitles - Duration: 6:28.Bob the Canadian here.
Let's learn English …. at the gas station!
Hey Bob the Canadian here, if this is your first time watching these video please click
the subscribe button below, and if you could at some point during this video give me a
thumbs up that would be awesome.
So I noticed when I got in my van today that I was out of gas, or almost out of gas.
The gas gauge, the little dial that tells me how much gas I have left, was pretty low.
In English we would describe this as, "Running out of gas."
We also describe it as, "Running on empty."
Yeah, you could say I was running on empty which means there's just a tiny amount of
gas left.
I think I have enough gas to get to the gas station so that I can fill up my gas tank
in my van.
Hopefully I make it there.
So a few sentences in English to describe this, you would say, "I need gas."
"My car needs gas." or "My van needs gas."
"I need to fill up with gas."
"I need to fill up my gas tank."
So one of the first things to look for is the price of gas, and generally there's
a nice sign on the road outside of a gas station which will let you know how much gas is going
to cost.
At this gas station gas is currently $1.20 per litre.
That's actually not too bad for right now, so let's go fill up.
At the gas station you're going to find gas pumps.
Gas pumps generally pump three different kinds of gas, but they also pump diesel.
Diesel is generally used for things like trucks and tractors.
My particular van uses gas so we're just going to fill this van up with gas.
So one of the first things I need to do is I need to open up this little door and take
off my gas cap.
This is the gas cap.
Then once I've got the gas cap off on the gas pump I need to select what type of gas
I want to purchase.
So I'm gonna take the gas nozzle out.
It's attached to the gas hose or just the hose and we're just gonna put that into
my vehicle, let me give you a look at that, so I'm ready to pump, I have my hand on
the nozzle and I'm going to go here and I'm gonna select this grade of gasoline
which is the lowest grade 'cuz that's all Bob the Canadian can afford.
Up here you'll see how many litres, might be in gallons depending on your country, how
many litres are going to go in and how much it's going to cost.
So let's pump this thing full.
So you can see the numbers going up here.
I've spent $21 dollars now.
I've put just over 18 litres into my van.
And I'm gonna pump, I'm gonna pump it full.
I'm gonna fill'er up.
So there's two different ways of buying gas.
The first way to buy gas is at a self serve gas station.
A self serve gas station is where me as the driver of the vehicle pump the gas myself.
Another way to buy gas is at a full serve gas station.
A full serve gas station, a gas attendant will come out and they will pump the gas for
you.
So you would say to the gas attendant things like, "Please put $20 worth in."
or "Please fill it up."
So you could hear that little clunk sound that means we, we have successfully filled
the gas tank up.
The only thing left to do right now is I need to take out the gas nozzle and I'm gonna
put it right back here in the gas pump.
I'm also going to put my gas cap back on my vehicle and you hear that beeping sound?
That beeping sound basically is saying, "You need to go inside and pay."
So let's go do that.
Let me get my wallet first!
You can pay for gas by just putting your credit card or your bank card straight into the pump.
You can also pay for gas by going into the store, and you saw the store earlier when
I pulled in.
We're just gonna go in here and I'm gonna pay the attendant for the gas.
"Good morning, how are you?"
No, that's it.
Thank you very much.
So there's a couple other things you can do at a gas station.
You can check your oil.
Gas is what makes the car go, oil is what keeps the engine lubricated.
So I could open up the hood of my van and I could check the oil.
That's another thing you could do at a gas station.
I might also want to wash the windows.
So if you look over here…
Hmmm...
Oh here they are.
So if you look over here you can grab this and you can use this to wash your windows
while you're at the gas station if you needed to.
At a gas station you can also pump up your tires.
Way over there is small air pump, so if my tires were low on my vehicle I could drive
over there and in Canada you have to put money in, it usually costs a loonie, a dollar.
Super happy that I was able to fill up with gas because if you run out of gas, if your
vehicle stops moving because there's no more gas in it, you have to walk to a gas
station.
You have to ask if you can borrow a gas can, and then you have to walk all the way back
to your vehicle.
So generally it's a good idea to fill up with gas before you run out of gas!
Well, hey, thanks for joining me on this little trip to the gas station to get some gas.

Eminem Releases Diss Ad For Music Critics Who Slammed His Album - Duration: 4:03.Since dropping his newest album Kamikaze at the end of August, Eminem has been on the offensive with his diss tracks
Credit: PA His feud with Machine Gun Kelly really heated up in the past week when the pair serious shade at each other and now Shady's at it again - but this time it was at music critics with nothing good to say about his new music
He threw the hits at his haters with no less than a full-page ad in the Hollywood Reporter magazine - of course, what else would you do? Lots of music critics were quick to hand out negative reviews on Eminem's (real name Marshall Mathers) record-breaking album and (rightly) even had a go at him for using a homophobic slur on Kamikaze
But Eminem was quick to clap back at the critics who, in his full-page ad, in which he trolled them all while marketing his new album
"NOT FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION!" the ad reads. "Thanks for the support assholes!" The ad also includes the record's impressive sales figures, with as the sleeve artwork set as the background illustration
Of course, he's recently saved most of his energy for his hot feud ongoing with fellow rapper MGK
Both artists have been embroiled in a back-and-forth quarrel since Eminem dropped his number one album, on which he, reportedly, laced his song 'Not Alike' with jabs at the 28-year-old hip-hop artist
Next, Kelly hit back with his own diss track, 'Rap Devil' - a song that is just 4
45 minutes of shade. In the song he goes after Slim Shady for his 'weird' beard, being 'sober and bored' and his last four albums - which were, apparently, 'as bad as your selfie'
However, 45-year-old Eminem kicked back at the young rapper with a brutal new track called 'Killshot'
Credit: PA On the track Shady goes for a real knockout blow when he raps: "But I'm 45 and I'm still outselling you / By 29 I had three albums that had blew / Now let's talk about somethin' I don't really do / Go in someone's daughter's mouth stealin' food
" But Kelly said the song missed its intended target, taking to Instagram to say he hadn't lost any game
Since then various theories have emerged about the pair - one being that MGK could be the inspiration behind Em's hit song 'Stan' and even that the beef is just all a big act, due to the fact both artists' diss tracks where produced by the same person
An end to the quarrel doesn't seem to be in sight, which I suppose is either good news or another thing to roll your eyes at, depending on how much you like underwhelming beef
Grow up, lads. Featured Image Credit: PA

Breaking News - Reed admits he knows he has a target on his back ahead of Ryder Cup - Duration: 5:25.A clear sign the Ryder Cup is nearly upon us came in Atlanta at the weekend when Patrick Reed signed autographs — and then put Captain America underneath his name
Yes, the man who 'shushed' the galleries at Gleneagles in 2014 and silenced Rory McIlroy at Hazeltine last time is relishing the prospect of leading his nation once more
Ask him if he'd like to play McIlroy in the singles again, and a broad smile spreads across his face
'Of course, I'm leading 1-0, aren't I?' Mention the prospect of playing Ian Poulter and he replies: 'I couldn't imagine anything better
You always want to go up against the best.' Reed has even got something up his sleeve to tease the galleries again but he is keeping that to himself for now
'You'll just have to wait and see,' he said, mischievously. On Friday afternoon at East Lake, the 28-year-old Masters champion finished his round with five successive bogeys and then practised for an hour afterwards in the boiling heat
'I know I'm not playing great here, but the Ryder Cup is a totally different beast,' he said
'When they call my name out on Friday, I'll be ready to go, don't worry about that
' No one doubts it. Not with a record of seven points from nine matches, with just one loss
But such a record makes him a prize scalp. 'I know they're going to be coming for me and I'll have a target on my back,' he said
'But that's fine. I just want to go out there, do my best, and bring the cup back to America
'When I play for my country it just gives me a whole extra dynamic to my game and my personality
I can't let down my nation, my team-mates or my captain. For some reason, pulling on the red, white and blue just gets me pumped up and I've learned how to harness that
It brings out the best in me.' Reed's interaction with the galleries is something that makes him electrifying to watch
It's a fine line to establish a rapport without being showered with abuse, but Reed navigates it perfectly
'I think the crowd knew that when I put my finger across my lips I wasn't doing it disrespectfully,' he said
'I think they enjoy the banter. They know how to take the jabs and give it back. The bottom line is they love seeing good golf
'I love playing overseas in a Ryder Cup because I know that if I hit a good shot or win a hole it will be applauded
They want to see birdies and great play and go crazy. It's great hearing the songs with their playful undertone
Not once have I seen or heard anything that made me think, "Oh, that's gone too far"
' Reed's last taste of Ryder Cup action produced one of the great moments in the event's history, and a singles against McIlroy that held two continents in thrall
'I told my captain I wanted to go out first because we knew they were going to put their best players at the top of the order and try to get some momentum,' revealed Reed
'We were thinking Rory was going first, and I wanted him. It's a guessing game, but I was thrilled when it came about and it was a brilliant match
To come out on top and pave the way for the team to finish the job was a lot of fun
' Reed is well-liked in the Europe team room but knows that friendships will be laid to one side for seven days
'You have to consider them the enemy,' he said. 'You try to shove them into the wall a little bit
You want to get underneath their skin, kind of mess with them for fun and games. It's the one event where we can actually let loose and pry, poke and do whatever we want to the guys knowing it's part of the fun
' As if Reed needed any further motivation, he did a double-take when told how long it had been since the last American victory in Europe
He knew it was a while but had no idea it was actually 25 years ago. 'You're telling me I was three years old the last time we won on foreign soil?' he says, with mock outrage
'We've gotta change that. We are way more focused than we were in 2014. The guys are playing better and we're heading over with a real purpose
' With that, Captain America went to meet his fans and sign autographs. 'I'm just waiting for someone to ask me to draw a shield as well,' he said, smiling
